My husband and I purchased a side by side refrigerator from this company less than 4 years ago. The Motherboard has went on this refrigerator twice, we had it replace less than 7 months ago and now it has to be replaced again. This refrigerator is the biggest piece of junk ever. If you buy a product from this company dont expect them to stand behind their products whatsoever. They offer no help or solutions. I will never, ever buy a Samsung product again in my lifetime. If any of you out there are thinking about it please do not purchase their products. Shame on them for making this kind of a product and not standing behind it. It will now be my mission in life to make sure everyone knows about this company. I am not just starting here, I will be going much further with all of this. This company does not care at all about its customers and I think everyone should know this before purchasing anything from them again.

Updated on 7/5/2021: I posted a review of the dishwasher last year. In the meantime our builder replaced the one that did not clean and the door broke off. So a year ago it was replace by the same model.... exactly one year later.... we are having to replace it. Run away!!!! Run Away NOW from this Samsung Dishwasher. I have had two of the same model and it is TRASH! NEVER NEVER NEVER BUY THIS!!!! Is there anything else I can say?Original review: Brand new home... brand new appliance... Samsung everything. All the other appliances I love EXCEPT the dishwasher.... it is awful. It does not get the dishes clean. I cannot fit my 11-inch plates in it... the bowls, forget about it. The top rack, please do not get me started. It uses all the Jet Dry in one wash. I cant get the racks to adjust... which they are supposed to do. I hate doing dishes but after 45 years I would rather have clean dishes then this piece of... run away from this dishwasher.

Model RF266AEPN, french door model. Purchased spring 2011. At four years old had to be serviced for the ice dam at the back of the refrigerator causing the fan attached to the evaporator to be compromised and sound as if the refrigerator was about to blow up. The repairman warned me that this was a common problem with Samsung and tried to sell me an extended warranty. I declined. Unfortunately I should have listened because six months later its the same old problem. Today after viewing loads of YouTube videos and reading the commentary I have no doubt this is a widespread problem with every type of Samsung refrigerator including side by side and bottom mount. The suspected causes for the malfunction range from the temperature sensor, to the heating tube around the evaporator coil, to clogged drain, to bad relay switches in the computer module, to poor software. Knowledgeable people seem to fix the problem only to have it occur again. Also made the mistake of buying a Samsung above the stove microwave that makes enough noise that I wonder if it too will blow up on me.

I wish that I had read all of the negatives reviews regarding Samsung refrigerators before I purchased one. I will have to admit that I have had mine 4 yrs. & today is the first repair job but it seems to be the same problem that everyone is complaining about. I have had water collecting in both veg/fruit drawers. After $250.00, I hope the problem has been corrected. The FF was freezing & leaking per info on repair ticket??? The repairman replaced the heat probe. He said that many of these have had to be replaced. The original ones were too short & they are being replaced with longer ones. This sounds as if there should have been a recall since he told me that he had replaced several with the newer type probe. I do not have any hope of anything being done by Samsung but it sounds as if they should have addressed this problem instead of denying that there is a problem.

I bought a full appliance set from electronic express here in Nashville. I bought refrigerator, range, dishwasher and over the range microwave. I spent about $5,0000.00. The microwave right after working one year it just quit working. I called Samsung they sent a tech and he fixed it. After 3 months the dishwasher never clean right. We started cleaning the dishes before we put them in the dishwasher, but finally it quit working - even the dishwasher detergent was left on the dish. I called Samsung and they said it is over a year and warranty expired. So I am out of luck. So I am planning to buy Whirlpool dishwasher since that was the old one I had which worked for over 9 years without a problem. I replaced it because my wife want a stainless steel set of appliance. I am disappointed at Samsung - such a big company makes a good cell phone and tablet like Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note, make a bad dishwasher. Why do not let them stay away from this business and let Whirlpool do the appliance. I will never buy Samsung appliance at all...

I have Samsung side-by-side refrigerator model RS267LASH/XAA bought in March 4th, 2006. A few days ago, its fridge side stopped cooling and all the food inside went bad. Now the fan on the fridge side is noisy. The noise stops as soon as I open the fridge side door. There is no cooling on the fridge side. When I investigated this issue, it seems like this is a very common issue with Samsung refrigerators. This is a just a six years old refrigerator and I always clean it every month. Never in my life had I any problems with the refrigerators I used. I have found out that Samsung people know about this problem, but they wont fix it. I have to pay for it as the warranty is over.

Samsung side by side refrigerator/freezer Model#RS265TDRS - Wish I had read reviews before buying this absolute piece of crap!!! Nothing but problems since I bought on 9-09-2013. Constant Ice Build Up Freezing coils in Frig. I believe when I pay my Hard Earned $$$ for A New Appliance it should work properly. Not that They try to sell you an extended warranty plan thats useless anyway. The repair people dont even know what to do. Had 2 different Ones tell me they would not work on them due to poor quality parts & replacement is only guaranteed for 90 days. Right now I have estimate for 544.22 to replace Thermostat cover/evaporator & sensor. I want to contact Samsung directly but all you get is recording. My next move is go to my Local Lowes. Thats where I purchased. & beg for help. This time fridge has been out for 2 weeks while I am deciding what my next move is. Probably Local TV Station for HELP!!!

I am highly frustrated generally over the above company name products. Now heres why: I am a big fan of the Samsung brand, my wife is also too. 99% of all our electronics products are all Samsung products. From cell phones to TVs, tablet, microwave etc, etc. You name it. Here are some CAUSES: I have 4 TVs, in my home I bought, all Samsung products. First time my wife TV went bad, you can hear the audio from the TV but no picture. I called Samsung customer service to explain my situation. On several occasions, I got hung up on. I tried and kept fighting till I finally got someone to talk to about the problem. My sorryful appeal was heard and the problem was resolved. Couple of month later again, Im having the same problem with another TV. Called Samsung, again, it was another fight. Finally, I was told it was a software issue and I needed to buy flash drive and download the new version. I insisted not to spend money over some so-called software so they downloaded the new version and mail it out to me. I then uploaded it to the TV but did not solve the problem either. To date, I still have the TV and planning to trash it. I also have a 10.1 Samsung galaxy 4, that is giving me problems. I took it back to Best Buy, and they kept it for two weeks fixing it. To date, I still have the tablet with the same problem. Now, its my microwave. WHAT IS WRONG WITH SAMSUNGS MODERN DAYS PRODUCT? They will go OFF on you right after their warranties. Im frustrated big time over Samsung modern day products.

Had dishwasher 2 years. My contractor handled first 3 service calls in time right after bought. He had family issues as well as me. Washer works intermittently long cycle > 4 hours then stops altogether not to mention water pools in bottom. I usually add bleach when I smell it. So I call because its Xmas and I cannot use washer other than as dish drying rack. Buy extended warranty. Call. Guy comes out. He can get it working, needed part. Comes back, puts new part in. Said normal 4 hr cycle. Mind you washer is 6-8 feet from Insta hot water heater. In California should be banned. No Appliance running water should run this long. Now its Easter and I have a dishwasher that runs hours! On normal cycle sold as energy efficient. Ha! Maybe if you add rage the times it does not work with the long cycle. And this is normal.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator Model 3 RF217ACWP/XAA in November 2013
We purchased a Samsung refrigerator Model 3 RF217ACWP/XAA in November 2013 from Best Buy. 7 months after purchase the crisper drawers began filling up with several inches of water. We called for service and were told not to put food close to the back wall of the refrigerator. We complied (although that certainly reduced the interior space to less than what we thought we were purchasing). Within a few more months, the problem occurred again with water pooling underneath the crisper drawers and inside the left crisper. A second call went out. We expressed concern that this was a recurring problem and our one-year manufacturers warranty was up in November 2014. A Samsung representative suggested we purchase the extended warranty to cover future repairs on the defective refrigerator that Samsung sold us! Today we emptied 10 cups of water from underneath the crisper drawers. I have had it. I will never, ever, ever purchase ANYTHING manufactured by Samsung. The only thing worse than the quality of this refrigerator is the lack of any effective service. My next stop is small claims court unless they take this piece of junk back and return my money!!!!

I have spoken to your representative on numerous occasions regarding the quoted fridge (Samsung Fridge RS2530BWP) purchased Dec. 2/07. Again this unit has stopped working. Now my food is all spoiled. I was told by the repair company that it is the motherboard once again. This fridge has been a problem since just after the first year of purchase and you may check the log of my calls. My fridge was purchased in 2007. I purchased an extended warranty and this service co has now serviced my fridge 4 times. This warranty is now off also and now the fridge has quit completely leaving me to deal with an outside service company who say that it’s the motherboard again. The part has to be ordered and it takes 8-10 days or I can have it expressed at an extra $40 and it will be delivered 4-5 days.Awesome service for an essential appliance, wouldnt you agree? The fan has stopped working 2 times, a motherboard replaced one all just after the Samsung warranty was off, of course. Plus there are several large cracks in the plastic of the interior which Im told are merely cosmetic and there is no coverage for that. It was a very noisy fridge, banging and waking me up at night. To say Im not a satisfied Samsung customer is an understatement.Plus Ive again lost 3 fridges full of food which have to be replaced. I hope all of you will read these reviews and refuse to purchase a Samsung appliance ever. Im now forced to look for a new fridge and believe me, I will not ever purchase Samsung again.

Our Samsung dishwasher is three years old. The internal blower/fan has always been noisy, but we accepted it. However, both the upper and lower baskets have rusted through to the point that supports and wheel mounts have completely broken off. I contacted customer support who connected me with an official parts supplier. To replace the two baskets is a little more than $300. The exact same dishwasher is available to buy for $349 new.I think its crazy that two parts that should last much longer are almost the same price as purchasing an entire new unit. Since I now need to buy a new dishwasher, I am definitely not buying a Samsung. As I replace all my appliances, I will be researching other brands, even if they cost more. I was asked to participate in a customer survey, however the survey was to rate their employee in the call center. She was helpful and pleasant. The survey had nothing to do with the company or the product or my issue. Beyond disappointed in Samsung quality.

Unit is now 2 years old and the ice maker compartment hasnt worked right. During the first year we had a rep out to work on it. Its a good thing we bought an additional 2 year warranty thru the store. Weve had that check out 3 times now. He replaced the fan, sealed the ice maker from the fridge, now has replaced the whole ice maker compartment. Next step would be computer controls. We purchased an investment property in December 2015. The house has only just turned 4 years old in December 2015. It had a new Samsung dishwasher then. Recently my tenant contacted me as it had leaked water. On investigation by our plumber and insurance assessor. The waste hose (the one that takes the hot water away to drain) has become completely brittle and breaks with one slight touch. I also noticed the colour is different from the inlet hose and is a completely different quality. We checked with the past owners and it is the original hose as it was new.Sadly it has caused an estimated 8,000 worth of damage to the timber floor. Because it is a floating timber floor. My insurance company deems it to be a content and has sub-limits of only 2,000 cover. The leak spread from the kitchen to the family room floor. We have to now maybe replace the whole floor throughout the house as we cannot find a timber match. Not sure whether to replace hose at about $80 plus labour or replace dishwasher. We do not have the dishwasher docket as the past owners discarded it. I think Samsung to change the hoses and have a recall on this machine. Very dissatisfied. I think they should just make computers and Samsung phones as they are excellent.

Samsung Denies Refrigerator Warranty Through Confusion and Delay. Lesson Le
Samsung Denies Refrigerator Warranty Through Confusion and Delay. Lesson Learned: NEVER Purchase a Samsung Appliance and Expect Them to Uphold the Warranty. Whoever said that Corporations have consciences has never owned a Samsung Refrigerator that failed while under warranty. We had a RF266AEBP refrigerator for 4 years. It had a 5 year warranty on closed system parts such as the compressor. The compressor failed in its fourth year. A nice long life you might say but still under warranty. This failure happened on December 20th 2014. It was not until March 10th when I finally pulled the plug on working with Samsung Executive Customer Service. Their response seemed to be designed to beat me down, tire me out, and leave me wondering and lost. We had 3 service calls over these months and during this entire time our food was on our patio where the temperature would dip well below freezing at night. Here is some of the incompetent mishandling they exhibited:They sent us a service outfit that was not authorized to do warranty work on their refrigerators. They said at one point that the compressor had a warranty, not the refrigerator. They left me holding on the phone for up to 20 minutes (but would tell me it was going to be 3 min). Said that I would have had to have purchased a warranty at the time of purchase to get coverage. They could not seem to get the magical 7000 number from the service provider. Even after we had 3 service people out, had the compressor replaced and had spent two months without a fridge, they were going to send someone to confirm that it was the compressor issue.I pulled the plug after 2.5 months when they said it would be another 4 days before we would get the form that we needed to attach the pictures to and send in the Executive Customer Service. AND, that we would need to hold on to the old unit until the inspection, forms and pictures were reviewed and by their Refunds and Exchange Department. At that point we had already ordered a replacement refrigerator. So, if you choose to purchase a Samsung refrigerator, rip up the warranty, assume that it will not be honored. If you do choose to try to get them to stand up for what they promised, be ready for months of delay and misinformation. Very sad, very sad indeed.

We bought the expensive Samsung Range Model #: NE59J3420SS when we upgraded our appliances. BIG mistake! From the start, the door didnt close tightly which makes the oven take forever to heat up and things dont cook correctly. The light inside the oven goes on and off intermittently, then the right front burner stopped working and then the left front burner stopped working (the only 2 large burners)! When I finally had had enough and called Samsung, they would do nothing because it had been over a year! There is OBVIOUSLY a defect with this model! Defective Samsung Refrigerator Model RF267AERS - We first experienced an issue with the evaporator tube freezing up and water running out of the refrigerator on to the hardwood floors, 2 months out of warranty. A service technician came to the house to repair it. Here we are, a few months later (May 2012), with the same reoccurring problem. This time, they want us to pay for the same repetitive issue. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Samsung refrigerators. Update - Here we are in August of 2012 with the same problem. Samsung French Door Refrigerator Model RF4287HARS Stainless - Whatever you do, purchase the extended warranty. I did and am happy about spending the extra 90.00 for a 3 year warranty. I feel electricity and hear a buzzing when I touch the handle on the side where the ice maker is on. Service Repair is coming out to look at it for free. Ive tried looking online for any recalls or class action cases, and for some reason Im not having much luck. It was purchased at Home Depot, but that may not make a difference. It hurts at first to spend an extra 90.00 for a 3 year warranty but think after spending 2,000 for the darn thing! I would advise a warranty for at least 5 years. I believe it will be a good investment.

First off it never dried the dishes then approx 6 month later it would stop in mid cycle blinking lights on panel. We renovated our kitchen over a year ago and bought new appliances (fridge and range/ oven) at Lowe’s from Samsung. I thought we would be getting a quality product because the LCDs and monitors Ive purchased in the past have all been quality. We rarely used the oven at home but noticed that it would take an hour or longer to heat up. You would just hear it cut off and on the whole time. When I contacted them they said that I had to pay for the repair because it had been one month out of warranty even though Ive seen numerous posts about this issue from other Samsung range oven owners model number FTQ353IWUX. The fridge has the change filter warning that randomly goes off and the ice maker gets ice all over the fridge door. I will never purchase another Samsung product in my life and will deter anyone from buying their subpar overpriced products.

Please do not buy a Samsung dishwasher! After 13 years of a plain ordinary
Please do not buy a Samsung dishwasher! After 13 years of a plain ordinary Sears dishwasher, we felt it was time to upgrade and purchase a newer, more efficient dishwasher. Hence, the purchase of the Samsung DMT800RHS dishwasher. Within the first year the pump went - let me tell you that it took over three weeks for Samsung to solve this problem. First excuse: they had no record of the repairman ordering the part. Second excuse: the repairman is sick. Third excuse: they overbooked the repairman. All in all, it was over a month to finish repairs. At this point, I start to think, “Is this going to be a pattern?” Our old Sears dishwasher was still working when we carried it out of the house!Okay, fast forward to two weeks - and guess what? The dishwasher was not working again. I called service and spent over one hour on the phone just to give info and we may be able to get service in a week. They have terrible, terrible service. They are a bunch of idiots, not to mention that you have to take time off of work to be here for repairs. I paid almost $900.00 for a piece of crap! The store where we purchased it, hhgregg, are totally of no use either! My warranty will run out soon and from the look of the other comments on this page, it looks like we may be in trouble! I should have done research before purchasing this dishwasher. If you are purchasing and reading these reviews, I strongly urge you not to purchase Samsung. I am so sorry that I did and I certainly will not in the future!

Samsung has eye-catching features on their refrigerators HOWEVER as the saying goes Just because it glitters does not mean its gold! In other words JUST BECAUSE IT LOOKS FANCY DOES NOT MEAN IT WILL WORK LIKE IT SHOULD! I purchased a Samsung (Model#: RF28HFEDTBC - bottom freezer) four (4) years ago (9/2014) with a 3yr warranty. I paid over $1800 ON SALE! Now the ice is building up in the fridge ice maker and in the back unit. A technician from the Network Group technicians came out to check why my fridge was not cooling like it should. The tech told me that the ice maker has a replacement unit and this is why the fridge back panel has iced up. He said that the issue with the ice maker NOT working properly is causing the other issues. That sounds like a defective part to me! REFRIGERATORS LIFE EXPECTANCY IS MINIMUM 14yrs!He recommended that I keep the top ice maker off and only use the freezer ice maker or this will probably happen again. The technician also recommended that if I did not want to pay the $300.00 for the ice maker replacement, $150.00 for the back panel defrost/replacement of the fan, $80.00 for labor, that I could just pay the $80.00 for his 10-minute visit and unplug the fridge for minimum 3-5 days to allow it to defrost myself. I have been without a fridge for a week now trying to make sure the ice has fully defrosted. My cooler with bags of ice is keeping my food colder than that SAMSUNG! Maybe I should have got a mini fridge and an ice chest! Anything would have been better than this SAMSUNG refrigerator! I will NEVER buy a SAMSUNG product again.

Unit is only 4 years old, and makes a loud ticking sound. The ticking noise stops when you open one of the doors to the unit. It sounds like a fan blade contacting something when the fan is engaged during a cooling cycle. We dont keep the temp below 40 degrees in the fridge, so I dont think its ice build up...

Samsung has great TVs... That is all!!!! My refrigerator is a Samsung counter depth freezer drawer on the bottom and meat cheese drawer in the middle. 1. In order to change the water filter you need to turn off the water to the fridge; that means pulling it out of the wall pocket every six months minimum.. Joke.. 2. The veggie storage drawers trap food and mold. 3. It is the cheapest refrigerator by far; drawers in freezer come off track all the time.. 4. Freezer is a bottomless pit. 5. It doesnt fit anything.. Be very aware. The dishwasher rinse aid piece broke and the technician said I have to be more gentle.. How about Ive never broken one in my 50 years of buying dishwashers; they usually have a slide door instead of a cheap piece of plastic..The stove, you lean up against it to put something away and the gas goes on and you dont even realize it.. The clothes washing machine traps hair in the drain of the door; constantly removing debris.. Lastly, the dryer worst lint drawer every, you have to pull it out and pry it apart every time to clean it. Stick with TVs SAMSUNG.. Go for GE Profiles or Whirlpool... Stay away from SAMSUNG!!!

I bought a Samsung Range NE59J3420SS/AA from Sears November 23, 2015 the day before Thanksgiving. Since then I have had problems with the product. First the discoloration of the cooktop is awful. I called Samsung and was told that was normal and that the range was fine. Well the steam cleaning feature will not work and I called Sears. They refused to fix it nor service it - 1800-726-7864. They had a more hands off and referred me to 1800-726-7864. The CSR that I spoke with implied that I was unintelligent and could not read, and I could not follow simple directions. I told her that I followed the directions given in the manual and that I wanted a technician and to speak to her supervisor. Well he got on the line and hung up on me.I ended up going online to get a service call done and a ticket # and also be informed that the service call will cost me for the tech to come out. Currently I was purchasing a new refrigerator from Conns. I will calling in a few minutes and putting that on hold and changing that product. I also have a lot of Samsung products in my home - washer, dryer, televisions, and three cell phones and I am dreading if something else breaks. IF you are considering any appliances from Samsung I am telling you their service department is awful, rude, obnoxious and callous. Beware of the products you purchase from them be sure that the merchant tells you about the warranty and if they offer additional in house warranty seems to me the best bet.

We bought a Samsung RS275 side by side refrigerator in March 2010. From the start, the ice maker was completely inadequate and could not keep up with a family of four. In July 2011 water started accumulating in the bottom of the refrigerator and freezing the lower vegetable bin. We found that the defroster drain hole was freezing closed with ice, thereby not allowing the defroster to drain properly, hence it ended up on the floor of the refrigerator. I managed to extend a piece of copper wire into the hole (it was heated from the defroster heating coil) and that solved the problem for a couple of years. Keeping the hole open. The problem reappeared in the Spring of 2014 and weve been trying to fix it ever since. Also, the water dispenser line continues to freeze. I will never buy another Samsung refrigerator.

I am having the same problem as Kimberly from California reviewed back in September on the water filter replacement cartridge DA29-00003G for the SAMSUNG French Door Refrigerator. No matter how hard I try to twist the filter, it will not seat into the receptacle even though it is the correct filter listed in my owners manual. The previous filter is an off brand made by HDX as a replacement for Samsung and it worked fine. The only difference between the two is the locking mechanism on the neck as Kimberly illustrated in her pics and I have attached my own pic as well. I have used SAMSUNG replacement filters before and this is the first time experiencing this problem. This engineering problem needs to be remedied immediately before someone ends up breaking their refrigerator and paying hundreds of dollars in replacement parts or even having to buy a new refrigerator! In the meantime I will return my filter to the store and spend my money on the other brands filter. This is a very poor oversight on SAMSUNGs part!

Just reached the 6th year of owning our Samsung Side by Side Refrigerator RM257ABSH which we paid nearly $3000. A&E (Sears) is the only repair option... I called every repair place and also asked for referrals to repair people they knew. The A&E repairman that found the leak in our coil was very knowledgeable, but the coil I paid for never came in. The appointment date came and went with no phone call. I called A&E, three or four times before I found out that their parts source no longer carries the coil and they had move my appoint from the 6th to the 20th of February. I called Samsung, since my fridge at this point has been down for 4 weeks and was given Customer Relations... after four business days of going back and forth between A&E and Samsung, I was told that the coil is no longer available and they would have to buy back my fridge. The A&E repairman during the service call told me coils are the most common problem with refrigerators... which means that when you buy an expensive refrigerator from Samsung, you cant count on them keeping parts past the 5 year warranty. The Customer Relations person told me it was past its 5 year warranty point that they carry parts. They offered me a buy back that is reduced by 10% per year. I could have fixed the fridge for $495, instead I trash a $3000 unit for a few hundred dollars... What a deal!!!!!The total repair cost by A&E was $495.00. I paid $185.00 down for parts and the service call. Now I am out of $1500-2500 for a new fridge and Samsung may give me a small buy back amount! My advice... Never, Never, Never buy a Samsung refrigerator because they may not carry your parts after the warranty. Their fix is to give you a few hundred bucks and send you on your way to your next purchase... which in my case will never be a Samsung!!!

I was told by customer service that this was a safety option to keep a blast of hot air from coming out at you. I should have insisted that it be checked by a tech. If it were for my safety I think it would be consistent. They will tell you anything to get you off the phone. I bought it from Sears. I wish Id bought it from Lowes. Purchased a new Samsung DMT800 series dishwasher in August of 2014. It has run quietly and its a great size. More often than not, my dishes are not clean. I have followed the manufactures recommendations to the T. Exactly one year after purchase it stopped draining and I got a 5s code on the panel. I was not able to fix the problem by following all the directions. Service call from place of purchase came to investigate. I need a new drain motor at the cost of $288 plus labor. I live alone, and I did not use the dishwasher often. I hadnt used it for about a month when this happened. I am shocked that a dishwasher that gets such little use is now costing me almost as much to fix it (with labor at $75/hr) as it was to purchase. Its pathetic and I will not purchase a Samsung again.

Buy this fridge if you do not care about hygiene and germs brewing in your fridge. Grime gets stuck in every bin and drawer with no means of cleaning the nooks and crannies. You will eventually end up breaking the cheap plastic in order to have the smell gone. Dry crusted debris get stuck often in the front of door bins and the veggie drawers. These parts have 3 layers to it with no means of taking those apart but to break. The whole world knows now icemaker is a big sham for Samsung. Only worked for couple months. I have done everything samsung recommended but it is a company with very poor technical and customer support. Class action in process for that one. Bought the Samsung French door refrigerator in 2014. In 2015, it stopped cooling twice. Had to be thawed at home since it is already out of warranty. Which is ridiculous. Samsung service is of no assistance. Just refer you to a local repair shop who refers you elsewhere because they refuse to service Samsungs products. If I had known about the short life of this refrigerator and the inability of it to perform its only job of cooling food, Id have definitely switched to another brand before the purchase of this $1,500 piece of pretty - looking junk. Samsung has been made aware of this design flaw for years, but due to selfishness and greed have refused to address the issue, fix / redesign the problem coils, or even recall their junk refrigerators. They have done a huge disservice to their consumers by allowing these pieces of junk to remain on the market without fixing the issues. I feel they should be made to recall the problem appliances. We lost over $300 in food and even the babys formula. Theres no excuse to sell high priced junk to consumers without standing behind your products. Bad business practices. Samsung should just stick with cell phones and computers. Their refrigerators are not worth the money or bad reviews. Just stay away!

My Samsung refrigerator (Stainless Steel Bottom Freezer) is less than a year old and the freezer stopped working this evening (12 Jun 2018). I am thoroughly convinced, after having read similar reviews published within the last few days and weeks, that the Samsung refrigerators were either immediately defective upon being manufactured or became defective while in transit. Though the product is currently under warranty, I do not look forward to having to deal with the retailer (Home Depot) and/or the manufacturer in order to repair it. I purchased a Samsung refrigerator (Model # RF4287HARS, French Door, with the Flex Zone drawer) early Sept 2013. This refrigerator costs me over $2000. After about 2 months, the refrigerator section wouldnt get cold anymore. The digital display read 34 degrees, but I knew it wasnt. After reading up on trouble shooting tips, I unplugged the fridge, waited a few minutes, plugged it back in, then it read 58 degrees. I called for service (a 4 hour window, of course). The technician said it was faulty temperature sensors. He didnt have the parts and said he would have to call it in. It may be up to 3 to 4 weeks to get the parts. I thought this was ridiculous (and it was just the beginning). I called Samsung headquarters, asked them if they would kindly replace my refrigerator with a new one, since its only about 2 months old. They said its NOT THEIR POLICY. They said if its fixable, they will get a service technician to fix it. I FLIPPED!!! I told them, I do not have the luxury to wait 3 to 4 weeks for parts to come in...... I DONT HAVE A PROPERLY WORKING REFRIGERATOR!!! Their answer..... its NOT OUR POLICY. So I ask that they transfer me to upper management. I spoke to their Executive Customer Service Relations, told them my situation and my request. Their response was, ITS NOT OUR POLICY. These are the most useless customer service department heads Ive dealt with. So I bit the bullet, waited about 2 weeks, parts came in, called for service technician again. They replaced the temperature sensors. Im thinking, Whew, Im glad thats over with. About 2 weeks later, I notice the fridge is not getting cold again. Temperature is reading 48 to 52 degrees. Called for service again, they are going to replace ice maker and heating element. I asked the service repair man, What is the root of this problem? He says he doesnt know, just that the fault indicator is telling him to replace these parts. This is where Im at right now, dont even know if this second service will solve the problem. Im infuriated at Samsung. How dare they put out a product on the market without conducting extensive tests. Do they realize what a burden they are putting on their customers? Im never buying Samsung again, EVER!!! If you work for Samsung (refrigerator designer or customer service), shame on you for all the trouble you put me through. Shame on your POLICY. If you make a faulty product and you know about it, OWN UP TO IT! The customer is always right! MAKE IT RIGHT FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS! Or pretty soon, you will have no more customers.

We purchased Samsung range, model NE595R0ABBB in November 2014. 3.5 years later, its fried. I am never buying another Samsung appliance ever again. We did purchase an extended warranty for it and it underwent a few repairs. The motor for the convection fan kept burning up, and now I am wondering if the latest incident is linked, because I believe the circuit board shorted out after reading about similar incidents online.Last night, I was preheating the oven and before it got to temperature, it shorted. I was in the next room, and I heard a very very loud buzzing sound coming from the kitchen, like something was being electrocuted, and my kitchen lights were flickering. I ran into the kitchen and there was smoke coming out of the oven. Not too much smoke; it didnt trip our smoke alarm. I turned the oven off, and opened the door, and the bottom panel inside the oven was glowing red in the rear left corner. This was probably the most terrifying minute of my life. I am just so grateful that I was able to act quickly and nothing catastrophic happened.I am glad that I was so close by to turn it off quickly; if I had been upstairs or outside, this could have been worse. I am sure it would have caught fire. As soon as we were able to, we pulled the oven away from the wall and unplugged it. There is no damage to anything outside the oven, though the back panel of the oven looks a little warped. I am not even going to bother getting this repaired; I dont want it in my home anymore. We purchased a GE and are awaiting delivery. Though I wouldnt be surprised if all the wiring is melted and other damage inside resulted from this. Some of my other complaints with this range: I have had oven temperature problems since almost the beginning with this. I am also very disappointed that the paint around the top of the oven door (its plain black, not a special finish) is flaking, and the paint near the stove backsplash where the vents are is flaking, too. The ceramic top has been stained since we first had it; nothing cleans it properly. Even water stains it. The seal around the edge of the ceramic cooktop is eroding. Anything deemed cosmetic is not covered under the warranty.

ACBP stands for A crappy built Product. We have all these same problems you all have had - water in crisper, temp reads 34 but temp is 62 degrees, freezing up panel. Why are we being treated so poorly by customer service? Doesnt the company realize that it will affect all of their product line with so many complaints and no follow up. I want one representative to follow me through the process to get a refund on this lemon. 20 calls, 50 questions repeated to their representatives, its ridiculous. HELP, I wont even give them 1 star!!!

We have had MANY issues with our Samsung refrigerator that is LESS than 5 yrs old and cost OVER $3000!! Over the past year, the fan and refrigeration coils behind the back panel FREQUENTLY ice up, causing the fan to stop cooling the fridge, and therefore spoiling all the food. We then have to move any salvageable food into coolers to allow the fridge to completely defrost. This happens every month or so, since the issues began, and we are not alone by any means if you research reviews on the web.It is model RF28HFEDBSR/AA with French Doors, icemaker/water dispenser and a Bottom Freezer. BUYER BEWARE. Samsung does not assume ANY responsibility for their faulty products, hence the class action lawsuit in USA which started in 2010, and the internet is FULL of angry, disappointed consumers with the exact same stories. Samsungs service bulletin regarding the issue recommends replacing more parts, but at your own expense, and without evidence of even resolving the issues to consumers satisfaction. I would strongly advise steering clear of any Samsung refrigerator, and plan to boycott them myself in any future purchases!!

The chiming has started again and its not dispensing water or ice so Im back to buying water until this can be fixed. I went to store to complain and was told Samsung refrigerators have no Warranty at all.. I am so so disappointed with Samsung and would not recommend anyone purchasing them!!!

Its only a year warranty? $1000 for a stove and its only expected to last a year? This is clearly a manufacturer problem and the stove works but honestly Ill end up having migraines if I have to look at this flashing for another year or 2. Samsung says sorry, not sorry basically. 3 years ago I bought a Samsung refrigerator. It was the worst investment I ever made. I wanted to buy something that would last me a while. I ended up spending almost $3000 and ended up with junk. The refrigerator worked okay for the first year after that it stopped working at least 6 times. I am so disgusted with Samsung. If I had the resources I would ship it back to their headquarters. Under no circumstance should Samsung be able to get away with manufacturing such a faulty product and not be responsible for the way it performs. The fan went out 4 times already and it is not even 3 years old.

My beautiful Samsung French-Door Refrigerator has caused us nothing but problems. Freezing up at the back of the unit, the ice maker worked well for about 12 months and then would jam and ice over, to the point where I cant open the ice cabinet any more. Have had 2 repairs done, and $800 later its no better. It will be going out on the front lawn in about 2 weeks, as I think thats all the life that is left in her. Many of our friends have has the same issue... not sure why there hasnt been a recall on any of the parts that we had repaired. Try Googling issues with Samsung fridges - and the first thing that comes up is fridge icing over... hmm... I detect a theme here. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG FRIDGES!!! They blow...

I purchased Samsung fridge two months back and a week after delivery, I noticed a huge ice under the bottom of the drawer and water inside the bottom drawer. I removed the ice and saw the same thing the next day again and every day after that. I called the brick warranty department and they told me to unplug the fridge for 24hrs before a technician comes out to fix the problem. This surprised me as it seems they already know about the problem on fridge and I wonder why they dont fix it before it was sold. I asked them to send me a replacement fridge for the period as the fridge is still on warranty. I have small kids and a day without a fridge is a nightmare. The representative was rude and told me that cant happen and the fridge wont be fixed until I defrost it. Im still trying to solve this issue and I hope there is someone out here who can stop companies like Samsung from taking clients on a rollercoaster once they make a sale. My advice, dont buy Samsung. Period.

I purchased of course the expensive model DMR Samsung dishwasher. Within months, this thing was not working properly so of course my husband tried to fix it himself by cleaning it out really good, thinking the kids had just got food stuck at the bottom or something. No, not at all. This dishwasher just didnt work. Well, I call Lowes well to my surprise since I had purchased the item 07/2008 but the item was not picked up from the store until 11/2008. Since my purchase date was July, my one year warranty was already up by the time I called. I refused to call Samsung and have them come out because when I did inquire I was told it would be 65 bucks just to come out and tell me whats wrong with it. So now 3 years late, still no new dishwasher. I just have a piece of stationary sitting in my house being decoration to go with the rest of my kitchen. Thanks Samsung for such a good product and taking my 900 dollars.

I purchased two Samsung ranges in 2012 for my small cafe. I just wanted them for baking. I know any commercial use would void the warranty, but I believed I would get several good years out of the ovens for a 1200 dollar range. One night that winter 2012/2013 I was sitting at the counter late at night doing bookkeeping. I was baking at about 400-425 degrees, when I heard a loud pop and saw one of the ranges on fire in the rear. I grabbed the fire extinguisher and started putting out the flames when I realized these being electric just pulling the plug would probably solve the problem… I did, and the fire went out (I did have an awful mess of chemicals to clean up). I researched the problem on the internet and found this to be a common problem with Samsung ranges. I was and still am mad. For a large corporation to put such junk for sale, I am incredulous. Ive let the thing sit for almost a year, and am going to finally call someone to give me an estimate to fix, so I can fix or junk. I tell everyone I come in contact with not to buy Samsung anything. The other range is still used never over 350 degrees.

I love the black stainless steel color although it would be nice if both sides of the stove were also steel but they are black and not pretty. I find cleaning between the glass of the oven door very cumbersome. I like the way it cooks but I would not purchase this stove again.

Freezing up, water building up in the bottom inside of the refrigerator. Had an appliance guy come out, he reset the computer part, it started working again for about 6 months. Called my home warranty again. Sent out another guy. He couldnt figure it out, sent out another guy. Stated to unplug the fridge. Let it completely defrost and then plug it back in. It started working again, one month later bam now not only the ice maker isnt working the water isnt working. Called my home warranty again, they disconnected something that should have never been put in there. Started working again, now no ice again water works. Called Samsung, told them what I have been going through. They brushed me off. Spent over 1700.00 on this damn appliance that wont even make ice, the filter alone is 50.00 every 6 months to replace. Needless to say the bag of ice I have to buy every three days that cost 4.69, and Samsung just brushes you off. I am one pissed off consumer right now.

Company has not vested interest in Samsung product quality, as they service other brands also. We will be without ice maker for nine days before the hoped-for Monday call from service to schedule a service visit. I can tell you, the USSI call center rep was about as cool and indifferent to my problem and the delays as you can get. I have never written a online review before, but feel compelled to warn consumers regarding Samsung products. I purchased a Samsung, over the range Microwave from Home Depot (Model #SMH181613) in December 2013. The microwave stopped working in March just three months after the warranty expired. While I did not expect the microwave to last forever, 15 months is a short life for any appliance. This would not be so bad if I had not also purchased a washer and dryer made by Samsung. The washer does not get clothes clean no matter how few clothes you put in the washer or how carefully you follow the instruction for washing. My family take their clothes to the Laundromat!

I am responding to a 12/28/2013 customers input and what he did to service his Samsung Dishwasher. I found his input very useful info as it gave me the confidence to pursue tackling the problem myself. I found the rubber check valve that he mentioned. I did not notice that it was stuck open, but I am assuming it might have been. On my model, DMT800RHS, the valve looks to be removable and replaceable. I did not try to remove it, but I did try to clean the surface with my finger. I also took the opportunity to clean my dishwasher parts thoroughly. There are several areas that trap food particles and eventually the food rots and smells. I will make that regular task from now on as eating food cleaned from an unclean device is as bad as taking a shower in a moldy shower stall... maybe worse. I hope this helps other people out there dealing with this problem.

I really want to share my bad experience with Samsung Microwave Model ME18H
I really want to share my bad experience with Samsung Microwave Model ME18H704SFS/AC. I wish I would google Samsung microwaves before buying one. I just read report from people who bought microwave in February 2016. I bought mine on May 2, 2016 from Best buy in Vancouver Canada. I also bought 5 years warranty on this microwave. On 28th day after purchasing we tried to warm up bowl of soup (in microwavable dish), and we felt a burning smell coming from microwave. When I opened the door I discovered a fire on the right wall of microwave. I was able to stop the fire with kitchen towel. I cannot operate this microwave any longer because it is a fire hazard in my house.Same day I called to SAMSUNG customer service. They gave a case number and told me that somebody will contact me. Next day I called them again and they transferred me to some kind escalation department. The manager from escalation department said that if he will get pictures and receipt from me now, he will speed up the process. I emailed him pics and have not heard anything after that. On Monday, I called again to customer service. The manager told me that she could not find me in her database, she also said that they were not able to open up my pictures. I told her to transfer me to the escalation department. After 30 min wait I was able to talk to a guy who confirmed receiving pictures. He also was able to open them up. He told me that he sent my case to the Head office. I asked him why nobody sent me a simple email with acknowledgement of receiving my email. He did not have any answer for me. I asked him what is the reasonable time to get an answer from Head office. At the beginning he said 48 hours and then he did not know. He also said that he has no idea what kind outcome I should expect. And just to add to this story... I called to the insurance provider for Best Buy. They told me that they cannot touch my microwave because it is a factory defect which appeared in first 30 days. I am not even upset anymore. This company is a joke. Samsung really needs to get a lesson for producing dangerous and unreliable appliances and treating consumers so poorly. I will wait for 48 hours (legally you have to give them some time to rectify the situation). If Samsung will not replace their lousy microwave I will take this matter to Small Claim Court and I really want to.

My DMR78AHS Samsung Dishwasher was purchased Feb 2011. It needed its first repair in March 2012 (one month after the warranty was up) to the tune of $158 due to the tabs breaking on the upper rack and getting down in the motor. Last Friday (Feb 2014) the exact same thing happened but this time the repairman said it was going to cost me $375 plus tax for new gaskets and pump plus labor. I said no way and he still charged me $109.15 for the service call, etc. I spoke with Samsung this morning and they put me through to SEVEN different people. The last one said I will hear the answer from upper management in 24 to 48 hours. I am disabled and on disability from work (60-years-old) and cannot afford all of this happening to me! I still was saving for the fridge and stove - forget that now!! This model should have been recalled! The net is FULL of people all having the same problem with the 5E error flash due to the tabs breaking off. I am so upset!!!!! :( Is there a class action suit for this problem in Canada?

French Door RF26VABPN repeat water leakage issue - Bought this appliance 10/08 & am recently encountering the 3rd problem since purchase which, according to other reviews, makes me one of the luckier owners having had it now close to 9 years. The 1st problem was continued water leakage with ice accumulating under both crisper drawers. I ended up calling a Samsung approved repair center that came out, evaluated the problem and ended up having to order a major part with total repair cost of $450. This occurred in 2014. Then the icemaker started making clicking noises periodically a year ago & finally stopped working. Tech charged $99 to come out but told me I could buy & replace the icemaker myself, which I ended up doing - Final cost $250. As of a month ago, the same problem is occurring with water accumulating under the crisper drawers & flowing out the front. Im not ready to spend another $450 so Im shopping for another refrigerator, anything except Samsung!!! The refrigerator before this model was a Whirlpool side-by-side that worked well over 20 years problem free. Refrigerator bought at Lowes, Gainesville, FL.

I purchased a Samsung Microwave Model SMH8187STG from Costco on 19 MAR, 2011. The other day, I went to close the door, heard a snap and it wouldnt close. The plastic latch was loose. I called Samsung (even though warranty was over) to inquire about what to do, and was passed on to their Canadian parts department, where I ordered a new plastic latch piece for $2.99, assuming thats what the problem was. It would be sent to the dealer nearest to our town where I could pick it up at that price, or mailed to me for $12.99 (I chose the pick up). The parts person also helped by directing me to a website as to how to take the door apart to get at the broken latch. I discovered many other sites where people had had problems with Samsung door latches failing, SE problems, etc.Anyway, when I took the door apart and got the latch out, there were a couple of other broken plastic pieces also. I picked up the new piece yesterday, brought it home, and discovered from looking at some other websites that some people had to glue broken plastic bits back on the door in order to get everything to work (they apparently hadnt ordered a new part). My new part didnt include the other plastic pieces, as they had been part of the inside of the door! They were very small, and very thin, and were part of the guides for the latch, and one of them appeared to be the piece that would anchor the spring that would attach to the latch. Crazy glue or epoxy wasnt going to fix that piece well enough to allow a spring to re-anchor for the stress on the latch. My wife and I do not slam the microwave door, and at our age (mid-60s), we realize were now living in a throw-away society, but this is ridiculous! It looks like well need a new door, as the whole internal part of the current door contains these tiny plastic anchors. Samsung knew or ought to have known that these pieces would not stand up to repeated use over more than a few years before the stress on them would cause them to fail. Why would they not have used reasonably strong metal anchors? While Im not a lawyer, one would think that those of us that have had this problem would have a decent case in small claims court or in a class action suit, even though the warranty is over. Does anyone agree? Anyway, after reading the other horror stories and our experience, its the first/last Samsung for us! P.S. So far, we havent had the SE problem, but from the looks of it, we probably will. However, we bought ours at Costco, as mentioned, and they are very good at taking things back from dissatisfied customers.
