We purchased a Model DW80J3020US Dishwasher from Lowes December 30, 2015. This dishwasher did not clean the dishes as well as our old Kenmore which was 11 years old. On May 8, 2016 the dishwasher quit working completely (no power on light). I telephoned Samsung support and was advised that a local repair shop would contact us within 24 - 48 hrs. We did not receive any contact and when I called Samsung back on May 11, 2016 they informed me that a company known as Precision Television at 800 603-2433 would set an appointment for repair. I phoned Precision Television and they informed me that they DID NOT SERVICE SAMSUNG DISHWASHERS. I telephoned Samsung again and was told that Precision Television (aka Precision Services) was the company that was going to service our dishwasher. Another contact to Precision Television proved useless and they again informed me that they had no technician for service calls and did not service Samsung dishwashers! Two more calls to Samsung (the last call was May 13, 2016) resulted in the representative telling me that another repair service, Lehmans Appliance would take care of the service. It has been 5 days since the service order was referred to Lehmans Appliance and they have not called me and have not answered 6 messages that I left. I have to assume that Samsung does not honor their warranty.

I bought the whole package of Samsung products and over a few years little things start to break and letters have fallen off of the microwave, igniter is bad in the oven, ice maker freezes up, washer lining went bad and started leaking. Their product is crap and the customer service is trained not to help you, they tell you there’s no one in your area to fix it, that you need to find your own repair man. My question is why does Lowes and Home Depot and other retailers sell and support them and you don’t have a service center for them. I will not buy another Samsung product, and I suggest you research before spend 8000.00 dollars on junk.

I bought a Samsung refrigerator from Lowes in 2010. In late 2012 I noticed a little rust at the bottom of the water/ice dispenser. I thought at first It was externally caused. When it became obvious that it the pan itself was rusting, I called Samsung Customer Service and explained the situation. After explaining the situation, the CSR left the line for a few minutes. When she returned she suggested I buy Bartenders Friend to clean up the mess. When I asked how I could prevent the rust from returning, she seemed confused, said she had solved my problem and hung up.I emailed Samsung CS with the complaint stating that a 30-month enamel job shouldnt fail and how could I prevent the rust from occurring again. I received a reply that read like the authors masters thesis that thoroughly explained the chemical action that occurs between water and iron. I went to Lowes in Palmdale, CA with my problem. The salesman was no help; the department manager told me that Samsung didnt make that model anymore and maybe that was why. And that he couldnt help me. Ask me if Ill buy anything from Samsung again. Or if I shop at Lowes.

Bought a new refrigerator from Lowe’s, less than 2 years ago, took out extended warranty. We have been without a refrigerator now for 2 months. The repair company ordered parts without even coming out, when they did come out, they sent email that they would be there Wednesday from 11-3, but when we called lady said they weren’t coming that they just ordered parts by what we said it was doing, they had wrong parts, (husband now has missed two days of work) Samsung offer to refund part of our money. We could have a full refund if we ordered another one from them. Told them I don’t want anything from Samsung, so they offered a low refund which I agreed to.Now every week to week in half they call and text and want more information and serial numbers taken off. I can’t seem to get anyone at Samsung to help and be honest. Have been told twice they have all they need, then they call again. We are having to hold on to this piece of crap all this time, it is taking up space and I am most unhappy. I WILL NEVER EVER BUY SAMSUNG AGAIN. Guy wouldn’t even transfer me to manager, he cut me off.

Bought my Samsung refrigerator less than 3 years ago, March, 2016. I have had to have the ice maker replaced and now the refrigerator is not cooling properly. It has taken a month to get a repairman in to fix the problem. Less than 36 hours later after it being repaired, I was awaken at 4 am in the morning with my refrigerator making the same noise and stopped cooling AGAIN. Luckily the refrigerator is still under warranty but I was without for a month, now it is going to be another 2 weeks before they can come out and replace the same part they just replaced. It is 2 weeks before Thanksgiving, how is anyone supposed to live without a refrigerator at this time of year? This is inexcusable! Samsung needs to buck up and get these items fixed or replace our units with new ones!!!

Two months after buying a brand new side by side Samsung refrigerator, a fan blade broke and the sound was very loud. It took Samsung 10 days to find a technician to come to the house. The gentlemen discovered the defected blade and was quite surprised being that it was only two months old. He suspected a manufacturers defect and he ordered the part, but it would take several days. In the meantime, we had lost the food in the freezer and refrigerator. I then called Samsungs customer service and explained everything as it happened. She was not very sympathetic and said that the part was on its way and thats the best that they could do. It was a major purchase for us and we felt cheated. Will think twice before buying another Samsung appliance!

Purchased all Samsung appliances for my new kitchen, the refrigerator is by far the worse of all the appliances. Ice maker makes very little ice, enough to fill two tumblers a day. It quits and needs to be reset in order to start again. The overall size and room is small, I bought a 4 door two for freezer and two for fridge, not the best choice. It looks good, but not user-friendly. Hard to get the drawers out to clean.

I purchased our Samsung French door refrigerator on 10/1/2011 through Lowes. At that time I also purchased their extended warranty; however, it expired on 10/1/2014, just 5 days short of the failure of our refrigerator. Lowes Service was very kind and immediately transferred me to Samsung, as they told me the sealed system would be covered by the manufacturer for 5 years. The representative at Samsung (after speaking and being transferred to a few different people) told me they would have a Samsung technician contact me within 24-48 hours. This was on 10/10/2014. I did not receive a phone call during this period; however, I did receive an email today, 10/14/2014. The email stated that they do not have a technician in my area, and wanted me to contact them via the supplied number to find a way to accommodate me. I was assigned a new reference number and transferred to multiple people until finally getting to speak to someone in the Executive Customer Relations Department. This person told me that Samsung couldnt repair my refrigerator due to my location, but that they could offer a pro rated buy back of it. I was told to email a copy of my original receipt to an email address they supplied me. I was told to write my name, phone number, and the most recently assigned transaction number on the receipt before emailing it to them. They told me that I would get a response within 2 business days of sending the receipt, but that I should call them if I do not get a response. The buy back is supposedly pro rated at 10% per year of ownership.

Re: Samsung Double door fridge Model # BS22HDHPNSR/AA Serial 067143AF301211J bought in 2015. This fridge constantly gave us problems and totally stopped working 4 times with total loss of frozen food and perishable items. When Samsung customer service was called they suggested pressing some buttons and tell them if we heard a whirring noise! We did that and it worked on 3 occasions! In December 2017 it happened again and when called they said it was out of Warranty and we should not call them again! We went to Lowes to buy a new fridge and the appliance guy told us that the sealed unit including the compressor in our Samsung Fridge has a Five year warranty. On calling Samsung they now agreed that the sealed unit and compressor indeed had a warranty for 5 years and directed us to contact their service center Lakes Electronics, 2101 W. Atlantic Blvd #108, Pompano Beach, FL. 33069.They sent their technician on 11/10/2017 who confirmed that the compressor is locked (Error 84E) and charged us $99.00 for his visit. He asked us for the original receipt which We could not provide as a lot of paperwork was damaged and lost in the Hurricane! We contacted the Manager at Lakes Electronics who confirmed that without the receipt they cannot repair though the compressor and sealed unit was still under a 5 year warranty as Samsung had not paid them for work done without a receipt in the past! We then contacted Samsung and after much cajoling We were given a one time parts and labor ticket valid for one week only. A repair was scheduled but as the compressor did not arrive on time, the ticket was cancelled. After the holidays We were asked to call Samsung again for a new ticket valid for 7 days and a repair was scheduled, but cancelled again as compressor had not arrived. Finally, when the compressor had arrived a repair was performed in our home on 01/25/2018. We were made to sign a work completed sheet by the technician who said that you should start using it from next morning! Lo and Behold, come Morning and both the Freezer and the Refrigerator compartments showed a higher than room temperature!!! We contacted Lakes Electronics and were told that as We had signed the work completed sheet they cannot come back to check unless We get a new Ticket from Samsung. This time Samsung customer representative told us that our unit was not under warranty anymore. When asked to be directed to her Senior who reluctantly agreed to talk to us. We requested that Samsung should do any one of the following: 1) Arrange for their service center to pick it up and do a complete and Satisfactory repair before returning it to us. 2) Give us a replacement for their defective item. 3) Arrange a refund. Neither of the above options were accepted but a New one week one time repair ticket was issued and the technician again came on 01/29/2017. He confirmed in his notes that both sides were not cooling and the compressor was making a loud noise. He asked for advice from Samsung tech department if a replacement should be done but this was summarily rejected and he was asked to change the Condenser and purge all the gas (?Freon) and flush it with Nitrogen. As he did not have either Nitrogen or a replacement condenser a new appointment was scheduled for 02/01/2018. A Nitrogen flush was performed and We were shown that it was working to his satisfaction and that We ought to sign the work completed form again. We refused to sign and asked him to wait for 24 hours before signing the work completed form. After 2 days i.e today the fridge is dead again and all the frozen food including expensive Salmon Lox purchased over the weekend is rotting! WE HAVE INCURRED A LOSS OF AT LEAST $4000 IN DAMAGED AND LOST PERISHABLE ITEMS, long hours waiting for proper if never a prompt response! Marital discord as the wife wanted me to dump the Samsung fridge and all the other Samsung products in the house and replace them with preferably American made products!

Samsung RS261 - We are on our 5th repair for the Samsung side-by-side with water and ice cube dispenser. The machine has flooded our house 2 times and has had water problems since 4 months into owning it. We have an extended warranty and this is getting old. The fan makes an awful noise, food goes bad. The fans in the back freeze, the water system breaks. We call service, they come order parts, and 3 or 4 days later come back and repair it. Rinse and repeat. There is a class action lawsuit against Samsung for these POS refrigerators. By the way, how do you rate 0 stars? Im sick and tired of this refrigerator breaking.

It will not only cost me $375.09 to fix, but the parts are on back order and will take 5-6 business days to get here (translates into 8 days). Once the item is sold, Lowes refers all responsibility to their (I quote) We have contacted Service Advantage with this issue. A&E Factory Service is the service provider and will be contacting you for a resolution within 5-7 days. Today is the 7th day and no response. We have had 7-8 service calls on this refrigerator 7 for the same problem. When we called for service the second time, Lowes informed us that the Service technician would determine whether or not the service call is covered under the warranty, this made us hesitant to keep calling on the same problem. We still have no ice and only promises from Lowes that Service Advantage would contact us. (Isnt that similar to asking the fox to check the hen house to see if any chickens are missing?) We contacted Service Advantage 8 times, repairs made 8 times, nothing worked. We were told by Lowes store manager that after 7 calls on the same problem the item would be declared a lemon. Samsung Refrigerators are beautiful to look at, but are totally unreliable and everyone that you talk to that owns one says they have problems with the ice maker.

I bought a Samsung SMH9187 microwave in November 2010 and on 9/2/12, it spontaneously beeped and showed the dreaded SE code that so many have written about. I tried to cycle it per the instructions by unplugging the unit with no result. The keypad was dead. I called Samsung service who were less than helpful. They could not find an authorized repairman anywhere nearby and I live in a major metropolitan area. After spending about 4 hours trying to find a local repair person who works on Samsung with no luck, I called Samsung again and pressed very hard for a repairmans name in my area. They finally found only one. He, fortunately, was quite helpful over the phone, but so far away that he would not do the repair. He told me that the part number is DE94-02001C and is available for about $52 at Sears Parts Direct and mentioned that anyone handy with computers could make the repair. I was about to go that route when I found these posts and tried the quick fix of holding the Stop/Clear and Start buttons together - and so far, so good. Meanwhile, I would advise anyone considering a purchase of this unit to be sure there is a Samsung repairman nearby before purchasing. The microwave is clearly not reliable based on the number of keypad failures mentioned here within the first 15-36 months. Planned obsolescence and poor service to boot.

Model 9187, Samsung Microwave SE code - On 6/19/13, I found several complaints and videos of how to fix the SE code on-line. I dreaded a fight, but finally called Samsung on 6/11 and talked with Amanda who could not have been nicer. She acknowledged the issue, said theyd fix it, no charge (my micro was purchased 3/21/11 - no extended warranty) and told me someone from Quality Appliance in Houston would call. Audra from Quality called a couple of hours later, again, very pleasant and professional. They followed up, gave me an ETA and Michael came a little while ago and replaced the touch panel. Most of the time most of the dishes are clean, but coffee grounds and such are thrown up into the cups and glasses on the top rack. Stuff in the bottom is okay, as are things in that top drawer for silverware. The dishes are always rinsed off and loaded carefully. My Samsung Refrigerator was a gift from my husband. I was so excited and looking forward to having a new refrigerator. Unfortunately, it has turned out to be a nightmare. The refrigerator was purchased in 2014 along with an extended warranty. Within 6 months the ice maker went out. It took 3 trips to repair it. Within 2 weeks it was out again. It took 4 visits to get it fixed this time and we learned it was a design flaw that Samsung knew about, but refused to correct the problem. Instead Samsung sent out a list of things the technicians could do to try and make the ice makers work longer. Again, it failed and a New Ice Maker was put in. That lasted about 6 months, however it leaked the whole time. Once again the ice maker went out. Same issues as before. Here I sit with the ice maker out yet again with Technicians coming out this week. All the while I am having to purchase Ice, make arrangements to be here for the technicians and listen to the excuses of which NONE are satisfactory. Home Depot and Samsung will not replace the refrigerator, because of an ice maker issue. What is worse now is the water leaking from the ice maker is dripping on the electrical components on the drawer below, which could cause a short or electrical issue. This is a VERY POOR appliance and I do not recommend it to anyone.

Unfortunately, I fell in love with its center drawer and purchased a 4-door Samsung Refrigerator Freezer 3 and a half years ago, for $3200.00, without doing proper research. The model is RF24FSEDBSR and was manufactured in Sept of 2014. I still love the center drawer, but it is not enough to make up for the rest of the appliance. This is a prime example of a company that thinks highly of itself but doesnt care that it sells absolute junk. The number of problems and repairs for the ice maker, add up to this being the worst purchase I have ever made and that is saying something. I have put up with months and months of temporary fixes, thawing with hairdryers, mopping up pooling water on the floor of the refrigerator section and just doing without ice.Recently, I have had 3 service calls for the ice maker. The ice maker freezes solid and wont dispense ice. Then, I need to move all my refrigerated food to a cooler and my frozen food to the outside freezer; turn off the entire unit for 2 days, with both doors propped open; and put an air circulator/warmer inside, just so the repairman can pry the completely frozen icemaker out without cracking the wall of the refrigerator. On the last service call, he replaced the entire ice maker for about $550.00. My total out of pocket for repairs and service is about $850.00. I fully expect that amount to grow. Now, it sort of works, but makes very little ice, (which will not be enough with summer coming).I cannot get cubed ice, just crushed ice; there is water dripping down the front of the refrigerator and it is a constant source of aggravation. Samsung wasnt sympathetic or helpful when I talked with them, and they suggested that I should have purchased their 5-year Samsung Service Agreement for $1750.00 when I had a chance. Really? They were supposed to call me back (within 24 hours) 10 months ago, and Im still waiting. Complete waste of time, money, effort, energy and resources. Do not ever buy a Samsung refrigerator because they are expensive junk, was the advice of my repair person, who has owned an appliance repair business for many years. I could have saved myself lots of frustration, and money, if I had done my research.

We thought we were buying a top-of-the-line refrigerator when we bought our Samsung fridge 2 years ago. Model RF263BEAEBC. French doors, bottom freezer, ice and water dispenser in the door. From the beginning, the ice/water dispenser was a problem. It leaked and water ran down the left front and over to the left side of the unit, puddling in the floor. If I selected ice cubes, I got ice cubes and crushed ice, with a bit of water thrown in for good measure. Since day 1 it has never worked as it should. We have tolerated it all this time because everything else was fine. Now, we have no ice and have discovered there is (were thinking) no water getting to the ice maker in spite of the cutoff valve being wide open and undisturbed since installation. I have recently noticed water gathering in one of the fridge drawers. I am SO disgusted with this fridge!!! I cannot and will not recommend this brand to anyone!

Despite this, Samsung will not stand by their product and they refuse to replace the refrigerator. We are now approaching THREE weeks of no refrigerator. Samsung customer service is a nightmare. Made the mistake of not buying the extended warranty as Ive had issues with those with other companies in the past. What a mistake from the start. The dishwasher gave his problems. At first it didnt want to drain properly then four months in, the lights were flashing on and we had to call Samsung who sent somebody out 4 days later to tell me that it needed a new control board. Shouldve realized that there was a big issue when the repairman himself told us that Samsung was having problems with this machine.Next came the noise that it made but it was draining and then after that came the awful smell and two weeks ago the light started blinking again and guess what out of warranty and Samsung wont help which is just fine because in my opinion it is the biggest piece of garbage I have ever wasted my money on. Samsung should be ashamed of themselves selling this to the public. Do they not realize that theyre hurting any reputation that they had.

ICE MAKER compartment freezes up every 2-3 weeks. Must defrost and reset to get working again. This has been going on for last 2 years on a 5 year old fridge. Samsung COULD NOT CARE LESS. Out of warranty, out of warranty, out of warranty. Sorry for the inconvenience, here’s a phone number of a repairman. This design defect is widely publicized on social media. I asked Samsung if there is a cure for this I’d gladly fix it myself but they WILL NOT SHARE this information. I’m done with anything Samsung makes. Their service is a joke.

I bought a new refrigerator in 2009. The fan went out in the freezer leaving me with an unbearable noise that is constant. Best Buy warranty was extended to fix the problem, but less than a year and half later it is doing it again. I have never bought a fridge for over $1000.00 till now and I am so disappointed in this investment. My old fridge is doing better than this one. So much for upgrading.

Quit cooling. The back of the refrigerator ices up and leaks unsanitary water down into crisper, meat bin, the ice maker, and freezer drawers. Cannot find water filter to replace it. The filter replacement light has been on for years. I looked at the back of fridge and in front. The water filter is impossible to find and no help with the manual. Won’t cool. Fruit spoils in a day or two. Had to buy mini fridge for meats and dairy. Leave in milk and it sours after a couple of days. Won’t cool below 60 degrees. Paid almost $2500 dollars for a heavy, useless piece of junk that gets my family sick with food poisoning. Stick to traditional brands when purchasing a refrigerator. Samsung is just shiny junk.

We bought this refrigerator about 4 years ago. It worked well the first year and the 2nd year onwards we started having problems. Water started leaking from bottom and water gets collected on the drawer base and the vegetable drawer also. The drain plug design is so bad that the its bound to get clogged. The drawer designs are complex and poor that food particles get lodged into the crevices between the various plastic parts and it is very hard to clean and if you try to remove them the plastic parts start to crack. Did not expect this from Samsung products. Poorly designed for cleaning and defrost system is pathetic. Even my grandmother fridge did not have this water leaking problem.

I know Samsung makes some good appliances but I got stuck with a lemon and no one wants to take care of the problem. My wife and I purchased 4 Samsung appliances from HHGregg late September of 2013 and spent over $3500.00. No problems with 3 of them but the fridge has been nothing but a pain. First ball bearings fell out of the freezer drawer. Got it fixed. The ice cube maker has been giving us problems since weve had it. To make a long story short we found out it was not sealed properly. Had it fixed I thought, then 3 days later it started doing the same thing but worse. Was without our fridge for 5 days. Been in contact with Samsung for almost a week now and still dont have an answer. They wanted a copy of the invoice thinking they were going to give me a new one. Recd another call last night from Samsung and the lady asked me if the problem with the fridge was fixed after being on the phone the same day with them explaining my problems for the 4th or 5th time. I said you got to be kidding. Dont you people communicate with one another. All I can say is dont have a problem with your Samsung appliances or anything you buy from HHGregg because they will put you through hell trying to get the problem taken care of. After you buy something from HHGregg you’re on your own. They pretty much blew me off. Terrible customer service.

While baking at 375 degrees and standing in front of the oven I heard a loud pop, and then seen a lot of smoke coming out of the top rear behind the clock and program panel. From the smell, it was obviously an electrical fire. The circuit board and connectors burned up. Luckily I was close by and able to unplug the stove. Stove is completely inoperative and is only 6 1/2 years old. I never had any problems until now. I was able to unplug the stove so I do not know if the fire would have continued. Dangerous fire hazard. I wonder what would have happened if I was not home and my granddaughter decided to cook a pizza. Out of approx 40 comments I have read, three of them mentioned the same thing happening to them.

We use our microwave for cooking and reheating. We have had it for three yrs and it has always performed perfectly. We bought it as upgrade in stainless and it looks great in our kitchen! It is the largest microwave I have ever owned by far, but the main reason I purchased was the online ratings and reviews. My wife is as close to a five star chef as there is, but she works long hours sometimes. I point this out because she preps meals a week in advance for our family, so the microwave is used daily.

I purchased a Samsung French Door refrigerator model RF23HCEDTSR from Lowes on 8/22/15. Two years later on 9/25/17 my refrigerator is freezing all my food. Tech said that the control board is bad therefore the fridge is running continuously. The part was ordered and has NOT come in after 7 weeks and Ive been told that its on a National backorder waiting for the mfg to produce the part. It appears Samsung has a full defect on this board and it should be recalled and replaced at no charge. If the part were even available it would cost me $389.00 to replace/repair but after reading all the horrible reviews and money spent trying to repair the fridge it may be wise just to trash it and buy a GE or Whirlpool that can at least be repaired if needed. Not happy that Lowes would sell a product that clearly has major issues.

I purchased this refrigerator almost a year and a half ago. It suddenly started playing up. Now it’s neither cooling fridge nor freezer compartment. I live in a town almost 200 km away from Jeddah from where I bought it from. I contacted the dealer and he straightaway refused to help. I asked him for the contact number of Samsung Jeddahs main dealer, but he told me, “If anything goes wrong with your appliances, it is just your bad luck and we cant help you.” So I called one refrigeration engineer at my own expense and he diagnosed that the problem lies in the motherboard unit and my refrigerator is non-repairable.Everyone knows how hot the weather is in Saudi Arabia and the pain I suffered because this world class brand is really awful. I would not recommend anyone to go for this ** brand Samsung ever owing to their awful reliability and customer service track.

I had 1.5 year old Samsung dishwasher DW80J3020US/AA, SN B0G8DG518407E which had 5 year manufacturing warranty. However, after 1.5 years of service machine stopped working. Control Board went bad. Samsung technician Mike from Lake Electronics, LLC who visited my machine was nothing but a fraud. Even without looking at my machine he claimed that my machine was infested by bugs and left. My repeated attempts to get from Samsung or Lake Electronics any documents proving the statement of their technician was laughed at by both Samsung Customer Service and Manager of Lake Electronics. Final answer from Samsung Customer Service was: Your Warranty is void.My technician from Broward Factory Service told me that Samsung dishwashers and other electronics are very bad and unreliable, and that I would be much better off replacing my machine than fixing Samsung on my own dime. Anyway, Samsung dishwashers are bad, and think that class action lawsuit against Samsung and its Customer Service is warranted.

Samsung RF217 - I purchased this model (32) after installing a 36 Samsung in my mothers house. I was impressed with the larger model and expected similar results. My initial displeasure with this model was only two door shelves are full depth, so youre limited to 2 shelves that measure about 6x 10 for tall items. The interior shelves have little flexibility and only allow for a maximum height of 9.5, so a lot of my tall items have to lie down (and hopefully dont leak). But my main complaint is one month after the warranty expired (there is 5 years on the refrigeration system), I began noticing water in the produce drawers, a lot. I emptied and cleaned the drawers till today, finally Id had enough and spent 2 hours melting the ice that blocked the drain tube. Lowes would not cover the cost of a service call since it was out of warranty and Samsung will not admit they have a design flaw. If you research this problem you will find it is a common occurrence, so I cannot recommend this refrigerator or brand until they remedy my problem.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator in August of 2013, Model #RF31FMEDBSR/AA. It worked fine for a couple of years, then in March of this year the freezer part stopped freezing. A Sears tech came out on March 31st, ordered a compressor, evaporator and dryer, came following week and replaced. Took freezer 3 days to start freezing properly, worked a few days and started having the same problem. Called tech service back, came out on April 22 did a recover/recharge. Worked a couple of weeks, same problem again. On May 16 came out again repeated the recover/recharge procedure. Within the next two weeks had to call again with same problem. Tech came out on May 31 replaced Thermo BIM part, worked for about a month. Now same problem with freezer and temps in the refrigerator part of unit is also failing. All Samsung wants to do is send me a certified Samsung tech and charge me a bill... The last Sears Tech has worked on refrigerators for 30 years. Buyer beware of purchasing any Samsung home appliance. I purchased a complete stainless steel kitchen set, fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, in July, 2017. They look beautiful, but dont work. Repairmen have been to my home eight times in 4 months. Only the microwave has been problem free. The ice maker has been replaced three times and still makes slushy ice. The dishwasher was delivered with multiple problems, which Samsung claimed were not their fault. Begging with Home Depot got me a replacement from them, not Samsung. Now the finish is coming off in black globs. The stove had an oven door that did not close properly. Multiple trips by Samsung repairman finally resulted in having to have the oven door replaced. That only occurred after long conversations with Samsung customer service, and a request for the address of their administrative office. They said they were doing it for me as a one time courtesy. Their repair service (Lake Electronics in our area) matches Samsung in their incompetence and customer disservice. Be smart and invest your hard earned money in a company whose products are worthwhile.

I bought model RS267 LBSH side by side in May 08 from Lowes. Right off, the ice maker never worked properly and we were blown off by repair (it never dispensed cubed ice and will block up with big chunks). Digital temperature reading seemed to be off. At times, things in the freezer were frozen rock hard and at other times almost soft. Reading the complaints, we should have bought an in fridge temp checker as I know the temps were fluctuating a lot although the in door reading showed a constant 0 and 38 degrees. Today, the unit quit cooling, but the door temps still read normal. We would not have known until the next morning except that hubby went into the freezer for a popsicle and they were melting. We threw stuff in the chest freezer, and put fridge stuff outside since its in the 30s here right now. I tried all the troubleshooting (what little I could find) from the Samsung site and nothing worked. After going through the complaint, I feel lucky we got 3 1/2 years before the 60 degree mark. Now, Im trying to decide whether to trash our good looking but problem prone fridge and buy another. Im not sure I want to pay for iffy repairs if we can even find anyone here that will work on them. Its the first time I have ever had a major appliance quit working like that so young in its age. This makes me never want to buy another Samsung product again. So Im now researching for more reliable fridge brands.

We purchased this dishwasher in April 2015, but did not have it delivered to us until June when our kitchen was completed. The first dishwasher to arrive was damaged. Had a bent door frame so the door would not close. The company we purchased these from (PC Richards) replaced the dishwasher and a new one was sent. In December 2015 and exactly 6 months from when dishwasher was installed it is no longer cleaning the dishes or drying them. We had a tech come out and it was determined that the heating element was bad. We also showed him a broken wheel on the lower rack. Tech said he would order parts. The parts came in and the tech was here to fix the issue. However, the wrong wheels were sent. To this day we are still without the proper wheels. Also, we have had 3 service calls since the new heat element was installed and still dealing with the dishwasher not cleaning or drying the dishes. The tech made a call to Samsung and they did some tests and it showed the dishwasher is functionally normal with no issues. So here we are with a dishwasher that is only 6 months old not working!! I am stunned and disappointed to find that our problems with this refrigerator (no cooling in the freezer or the fridge, alternatively or simultaneously, water accumulating in one of the produce bins) are actually very widespread. Worse still, we had purchased TWO of these duds before the problems began. We bought our first RF217 in September 2010 (#1), and the second one for our weekend house in July 2012 (#2). Almost immediately after buying #1, I noticed a small amount of water in the right-hand-side produce bin, which would accumulate over about a week (on average) to the point of requiring removal and emptying of the drawer. I didnt think much about it at first, believing I just needed to make some adjustment.Within 3 months of buying #2, we came home from a weekend in the country to find that the FREEZER (and only the freezer) of #1 (which was two years old and out of warranty by then) had stopped working while we were away, and heated to approximately 50 degrees. We called Samsung and went through a troubleshooting sequence, but nothing worked and they referred us to outside service people. We were surprised by the reluctance on the part of the repair people to work on it; we had to call three different ones before one was willing to come out. THREE visits over three weeks later, we finally had a fully working refrigerator again, and the water accumulation in the bin had stopped. In the winter of 2012 (only 6 months after buying it), I noticed one morning that #2 seemed warm when I opened it, even though the digital display showed the temperature at which I had set it. I remembered the trick the repair people had taught me, which was to unplug the unit and plug it back in to get an ACTUAL reading of the temperatures in the fridge and freezer; they were in 50ish and 25ish respectively. As I waited for Lowes (where we had purchased #2 along with an extended service plan) to open so that I could call them for help, I heard the refrigerator come back on. This went on two more times over that weekend, so we emptied out the unit before leaving. This happened again with #2 while we were at the house, and we have no way of knowing how often it has happened since. Now, #1 is doing the same thing. The refrigerator is warm; when I unplugged it and plugged it back in, the digital display read 63 and 27 for the fridge and freezer respectively. After about an hour, I heard the motor start again and the temperatures are back to normal. At this point, we have lost all faith in this refrigerator and the ability to repair it, so we are going out to buy a new one. I am completely horrified to find that stores are still selling it, and deeply disgusted with the fact that Samsung is not acknowledging that there is a problem.I am not sure that my words can convey the utter disgust my husband and I feel with respect to Samsung as a company. We will never buy anything they make, ever again, and we say so to anyone with whom the conversation arises.

I bought a Samsung refrigerator only 6 months back from the army canteen. It is sad that it is not cooling and on complaining 3 times. Every time I complained I was told to follow certain steps... I did it... but with no respite... Finally I had the technician who checked the fridge and gave me the good news that a part needs to be replaced since its under warranty. But my complaint is that the company checks the fridge before dispatching the product... How can this happen? I pay my hard earned money to get a refrigerator that gives problems in 6 months and does not cool... Every day I have to throw things from the fridge.

Like everyone else who has written a review, I purchased my Samsung French Door Refrigerator two years ago. I realize I am adding nothing new to all of the other complaints regarding this horrible refrigerator. I replaced my ice maker twice and it still freezes up completely. I am now experiencing the second big complaint in that if I use the water dispenser, water leaks and pools in the deli drawer. My appliance service provider explained that it is a design flaw and it simply cannot be repaired. I would never purchase anything from Samsung again.

A new problem has arisen with our Samsung DMR 77 dishwasher. We resolved two old the ones frequently mentioned by others here (see below). New problem is that after two years of use, the upper spray arm drops off its mounting and when snapped back, falls off again in use. We had the same problem others reported with the dishwasher turning on at the slightest touch or seemingly even a near approach. Samsung should sell the technology for proximity switches. But the solution is simple: turn on the child lock feature immediately after the cycle begins. That is, disable when you want to run the damn thing, then enable as soon as the cycle begins so you dont forget. Problem solved with minimum hassle. We also experienced the Lego snap-off wheel problem, lower rack only, and the only solution we found is to pull the rack straight out. Cheap or stupid design, no question. We bought Samsung dishwasher, microwave, and range (and TV) when we redid our kitchen. The dishwasher has been worst by far in quality.

UPDATED: 3/31/2021: I purchased a condo 8/8/2020 in Pasadena that had been remodeled by the seller with brand new Samsung appliances all purchased 1/30/20. Delivered 2/01/2020. I called Samsung warranty Nov and Dec 2020 about the ice maker making horrible noises. They told me I was under warranty and that the ice maker had been recalled for RF24R7201SR/AA, payment of 1979.99 from Best Buy with receipts in hand. It took Samsung three service visits, months later to not be able to remedy the extreme noises while replacing the entire ice dispenser. They then informed me that now I was out of warranty and they would only offer me 1800.00 and for me to remove my warranty sticker to send to them. They informed me that Best Buy would now not swap the unit out because I was a few months off warranty but I was under warranty when I called and it was first serviced with this issue. I then reached a gentleman at Samsung March 25th at 10:05 am, call was recorded, and I was told that they changed their minds and that they have these refrigerators on hand through Samsung despite Best Buy not being able to help me. I asked him if he was sure because the previous calls insisted on sending me money for a devalued amount at 1800.00. He assured me that the call was sincere. I then called back 3/29/2020 and of course was told that that deal didnt exist for me and again only to take the 1800.00 offer. Calling them is like calling another planet of incompetent employees who hardly speak English at all and have no clue whats really going on. It is the worst company that I have ever dealt with in my life and my whole home is filled with Samsung appliances. Soon to be replaced with LGs when these stop working because Samsung has horrible customer service and treat their high paying clients like garbage.ORIGINAL REVIEW: The worst experience ever! Calling Samsung’s 800 number for warranty issues is like calling another planet of people so unqualified and unhelpful. I purchased a 2500 refrigerator 1/2020. Delivered by Best Buy in 2/12/2020 and the ice maker was making horrible sounds 9/2020, 10/2020, 11/2020. I called while it was under warranty and they promised I caught it in time. After they attempted to resolve the issue and couldn’t we entered into 2021 year and they changed their minds telling me they could no longer swap it out with Best Buy because it was out of the year 2020 timeframe. Despite telling me while I called in 2020 that I was protected as long as I presented the purchased receipts that I did! They are only offering me a low prorated amount of 1800 and to remove the warranty sticker. That’s just insane customer service when my whole home has Samsung products. I can’t even believe this company and I will never buy another Samsung again.

Known Design Flaw With Kevla Icemaker. Just like thousands my french door model has an icemaker that freezes up and stops making ice. Also loud noises. Have had 2 repairs but they just melted the ice so it freezes every 2 to 4 weeks. Shame on Samsung for not doing a recall. Its a very well known issue; the fan gets hot, melts the ice then it freezes back up again. Theyve even published repair instructions for their techs but Ive had two here and they assure me its fixed. Im disabled and cant stand long.... Simply dont have the energy to stand for hours trying to remove the frost build up. Never again Samsung...Id pay another company triple before another purchase.

BUYER BEWARE: From the day I received the refrigerator, the bottom load freezer never worked. Within a six week period; I made multiple calls to SAMSUNG; was sent two local techs, who was in contact with the samsung; Samsung cancelled the third tech with no explanation and the freezer is still not working. Dealing with the SAMSUNG SERVICE DEPT. has been one long nightmare. They have an 800 number so you do not get to speak to the same person; they are located all over the USA and Dominican Republic. I was given misinformation, hung up on, transferred to other agents multiple times and had to re-explain the reason for my call over and over again. The agents read off a script about their service policy I cannot get a replacement refrigerator until a part has been replaced twice AND THEIR service tech deems it unrepairable; I cannot receive reimbursement for lost food until the refrigerator has been fixed. The problem with my appliance is that there was a factory defect with the freezer drawer, the techs were telling me, but not communicating this information to the SAMSUNG TECh. I was assigned a case worker after the initial conversation about the problem, I never heard from them again.

We a little over a year ago purchased a house full of Samsung appliances starting with washer and dryer, liking both the look and the way they worked. When we were ready to redo the kitchen we decided to purchase fridge, stove, dishwasher and microwave all Samsung. The fridge shortly after installed developed water stain in the screen of water dispenser, however since we were 1 day past the original purchase date the warranty was up and Samsung would not help us, and also said a water stain would be considered cosmetic, however now we smelled something burning and now you can see burn area around water spot in water dispenser screen. Bought Samsung french door fridge August 2014. Have had nothing but problems with the ice maker. Repairman has been out numerous times. The last time Sears sent one, he said my ice maker was working as it was suppose to! I am going to call them again and have them come out. It drops ice once every 4 or 5 hours, I dont think that is right. The ice container has never been full and I am the only one using ice and I am gone 9 hours a day! I still buy a bag of ice every 3 or 4 days to fill the ice maker. I am sorry I bought this appliance. Because they obviously are not going to do anything to fix it properly.

Samsung top freezer RT21M62135R, nominally 21 cubic feet, is fairly capacious. Unfortunately the lighting in the refrigerator section is front mounted and everything in the rear disappears into the shadows - keep a flashlight handy. The freezer also has a light, something my prior refrigerator did not have. I really like the slide and reach shelf for deli type items - very convenient. The door storage is a bit inflexible. I ordered the model without an ice maker, they shipped it to me anyway despite my attempt to stop it, which they ignored (customer service in the US is impossible to contact - they switched me to Indonesia (sic)! (Consider that I bought this model for energy efficiency, then they ship something I do not want - pure waste.) Even though they took the door off, the delivery service still managed to put eight dents in the door - too easy to dent.

These refrigerator/appliances were advertised as black stainless steel and they are simply Black Shrink Wrapped. Have had my fridge for 3 years and am embarrassed when company comes over. Recently purchased a high end dishwasher and had to chose a different brand. I do love the black, but unless Samsung chooses to find a paint, replace the door or find another way to make this fridge look as advertised, I can no longer recommend Samsung black stainless products. Samsung has made no attempt at a resolve. Why advertise black stainless when it is a film that is applied and peels off in creases, near handles, folds and edges. I have several areas of peeling that began a year after purchase. Requested a paint from the company and was told there was none available nor would a paint be available. Probably because shrink wrap is not paint.

We purchased our Samsung Induction Range Model NE599N in August 2013. Two days ago we were sitting at the kitchen table when we heard a loud sap from the direction of the range. Later that evening while cleaning the range we discovered the glass top had cracked from the back left corner all the way to the middle of the front edge. I found Samsungs service number and spoke with a service guy who had me e-mail pictures of the crack. A day and a half later we received a call from Samsung that there was no warranty on our cooktop due to improper usage. I have ordered a replacement top which I will replace myself, but I will not buy another Samsung product.

I bought a Samsung French three door refrigerator. Ice maker froze over, major ice build up in the back panel of the unit. The fan began hitting the ice build up. I called Samsung, a representative told me parts and labor were covered for 5 years. Technician shows up and tells me the evaporator fan and defrost sensor are bad. Technician tells me those items are not covered. I called Samsung while the technician is here working on the unit. Samsung tells me again the units cooling system is covered under warranty. The technician tells me and the Samsung representative the parts are not covered. Samsung representative tells me the evaporator fan and sensor are not covered because they are not part of the cooling system. I watch the technician out sealer around the icemaker because the unit doesnt have a good seal. 326.00 it costs me to fix the unit. We purchased a Samsung dishwasher in March of 2014. It is now Sept 2015 and the dishwasher has broken down 6 times (7 counting the fact that it is currently not working). Weve been in contact with Samsung multiple times. Was told to fax all receipts of repairs and orig receipt of purchase. We did that only to be told there was nothing they could do. We definitely bought a lemon. We have found that PA has a lemon law and we are checking into that avenue. We feel that Samsung company should have replaced this appliance, but they kept saying it had to break down with the same issue 3 times in a certain period of time before they would replace. The issues were sometimes different. We would never purchase another Samsung dishwasher - or any Samsung product.

Samsung SMH2117S microwave - Samsung refused after various escalations to repair the SE- error code that made the OTR microwave go crazy. The fan initially kept turning itself on and off constantly, then would show the error code and die. Unplugging it and plugging it back in would briefly fix the issue, but then it just croaked for good. Just a few months out of warranty (of course), and now, for purely the principle, would join a CA lawsuit against Samsung despite the unlikely odds of that happening. I would like to report a flaw in the design of the French Door refrigerator
I would like to report a flaw in the design of the French Door refrigerator with bottom freezer drawer-model number RF260BEAESP/AA. The ice maker allows ice to exit the rear of the unit when the freezer drawer is pulled open for removal of frozen food or for ice removal. The ice then is deposited on the freezer floor. This not only wastes ice, it creates a collection of ice cubes which eventually inhibit the secure closing of the freezer drawer. Eventually, the incomplete seal of the closure allows frost to build up on the contents of the freezer. I would hope that Samsung redesigns the ice maker and its location within the freezer drawer.

We bought a Samsung French door refrigerator on June 28, 2012. Only a few days after purchase, spots began showing on the stainless steel doors. I called Samsung and read their suggestions online, which was to use a stainless steel cleaner as well as WD 40, but nothing removed the spots. They grew worse until the entire door was covered. I have been completing service requests with Samsung for three months now. Samsung canceled the first two requests and finally sent a Samsung service company to look at our fridge. The service company said they have never seen it before, and that it was most likely a finish defect. Instead of taking care of the issue, Samsung is refusing to replace the doors, stating that it was a cosmetic issue. As you can see by the picture, it is a serious issue on this $2600 piece of crap that Samsung refuses to repair. I own four Samsung TVs and other items, but I will never buy another Samsung product. Who else has this issue?
