I purchased this refrigerator in December 2016. Four months later the ice maker froze up and Im sending emails to Samsung. None of the things they asked me to try helped. I just kept defrosting the refrigerator and trying different things. They finally sent a repairman that replaced the ice maker and a few months later I was back to defrosting the refrigerator again. Then in December of 2018 the fan behind the back panel in the refrigerator froze up and I had to replace that. Now I have to defrost my refrigerator every month or two to keep it working. Lots of trouble and a headache to have to do this all the time! Samsung told me that my model was not listed as one they had problems with!!! I wish Samsung would do something about this wide spread problem.

I bought all Samsung appl. when we built but Im having second thoughts... the refrigerator (side by side with water ice on outside) is not all worth the $$. The size gets cramped inside without a lot of shelving room and the outside ice dispenser always clogs and you stand there for minutes until the big globs of crushed ice falls out because if you dont get it out when you open the fridge door it all falls on the floor. We use the full cube but when clogged it crushes inside. The lower freezer is great... very roomy and stores more than avg. I would explore other brands.

I bought a Samsung dishwasher from Home Depot last year. Screws have fallen out so that it wobbles and leans forward when putting dishes in and out of the washer. I complained to the store when it was only 6 mo. old. They told me to call the Samsung. The company told me to call the installer which Home Depot supplied and could not tell me who it was. No one would take responsibility. So I paid approx $400.00 for a dishwasher that is always wobbling.

In 2012 my wife and I bought matching Samsung appliances for our kitchen and they were considered top of the line. Within 6 months our ice maker began freezing up, then within a year quit working altogether. Samsung couldnt find anyone in the area to fix it and said they would contact us when they did. Never heard back. Within 18 months it started making horrible noises. Found out frost was building up in the back and we would have to defrost, otherwise the fan would burn out. So every six months we did defrosting of our frost free fridge. Now 6 years in it has died and the repair shops said it wasnt worth fixing. My dishwasher died within 3 years, the microwave about the same time and the stove went out twice before I replaced it a year ago. Take the advice. Do not buy Samsung kitchen appliances.

Just purchased a Samsung RF28HFEDTSG refrigerator a week ago. Simply want to say that all Samsung refrigerators are shipped with a screw hole that is drilled into the appearance surface of the top of unit to store cord during shipping. They delivered and left hole exposed to dust and humidity. If you want holes drilled into your refrigerator and left exposed then purchase a Samsung. If you want a fridge without holes buy any other brand. From store purchased, Samsung hotline and Samsung regional representative no one offers reasons for their holey refrigerators. Samsung stinks.

My wife and mother in law purchased a Samsung refrigerator on a whim without doing their research. Consequently we have a fridge that has given us nothing but problems, the main one being that its not cooling. Had the service guy out (again) and three days later its not cooling again? We purchased this dishwasher (Samsung DMR77 Stainless Dishwasher) about 2 years ago, paid $800 for it. It has never cleaned right from the beginning. After a couple of months, the stainless front door panel started pitting. I contacted the company and they tried to make it my fault. Now, the motor is making this high pitched noise that is very irritating. I suspect the motor bearings are shot. I replaced a 10-year-old Maytag machine that was still working fine. My wife wanted to remodel the kitchen and go with stainless, so we bought a Samsung stainless refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. This dishwasher is a piece of junk and I am going to toss it and buy a Whirlpool for about 40 percent less than I paid for this junk. I will never buy a Samsung product again.

Second time I have had a problem with the microwave. Fan runs non-stop and will not heat anything. Samsung will not do anything. They only offered a protection plan that costs more than the microwave did new. I purchased an entire suite of Samsung appliances when I moved into my new home. Have had problems with all four of them. I will never buy another Samsung product again. I work in a Day Spa that has over 300 clients through it in a week and I will make sure everyone knows about the issues I have had with Samsung products. I have a daughter that is an Interior Designer and she will never recommend the products again. My other daughter is a Realtor and she will be informing all her clients of my problems. My new mission in life is to make sure everyone know what poor quality Samsung has in service and products. If you read this PLEASE do not make my mistake. I took the extended warranty on the big four door fridge. The ice maker freezes up every two months even with biweekly cleaning. Takes the company at least three (3) weeks to get here to repair it. The only answer is to not buy this product. Friends dont let friends buy Samsung. Dont buy Samsung!!!

Spent $2600 on a Samsung refrigerator that has never since day one of owning it, dispensed ice correctly. After months, customer service finally showed up 7:00pm to fix it. After leaving, it does the exact same thing. Called customer service again and Iesha who apparently was having a lousy day based on her attitude, rescheduled service in another week. Avoid this company! The model number is: RF23J9011SR/AA. Run far away! Weve owned the refrigerator over a year and never has it dispensed ice. The only way to get any is remove the whole ice device and chip it out. Great on the marriage!

My problem is like everyone else!!! My RF217 is less than 2 years old when drain froze up wrecking the fan!!! Having been in the appliance business for over 30 years, I have never saw such a poorly designed system!!! After defrosting and installing a new fan, it worked for a couple of months when it started leaking into the crisper drawers telling me the drain was already frozen!!! I made a heater out of a copper wire and thought I had it fixed. But three months later, same old crap!!! Samsung knows of this problem but is not recalling the problem, even though they make a kit to fix it with!!! I suggest everyone that has or had this problem call the commerce commission and report their experience. In the meantime, you can buy the kit online such as eBay for around $125.00... Let refrigerator thaw for several hours so you dont break cover or insulation foam behind it!!!

We have had the Samsung dishwasher about 4 years and this is the 4th time we have had the same trouble. The machine comes on and then you can hear the water going to the washer and then you hear it pumping out. Then the lights come on indicating low water level. According to the owner manual the first it happen it was still in warranty. The repairman came out and replaces a sensor box on the side of the washer. The second time it happen about a year later my husband took the sensor box off and replaced it. It wasnt under warranty. We cant afford to call the repairman. The last time I took everything from the washer and ran a couple cups of vinegar through a cycle and it has worked fine until this time I tried to run the washer again with vinegar but it didnt work. I will never get another Samsung appliance again. We also have a refrigerator that has some problems but thank the Good Lord it still works. The model # for the dishwasher is DMT 400RHSAAX. SN is A3JAG9MZ A03217D. We bought the dishwasher at Sears in Shelby NC.

I never write reviews but I came on this site to see if I was the only one who had a problem with this stove. ALAS, I was NOT. We had the same problem with the temperature controls as many other reviewers did. Luckily my husband was able to change a part and fixed the issue. After several ruined meals since I couldnt figure out what was wrong initially. However, my glass top has broken twice in the last year. I had an old GE range prior to this and it lasted forever! It was easily 15-20 years old. I bought this Samsung smooth glass top range when we remodeled our KItchen. (MAybe 3-4 years ago) Loved it! Im not hard at all on appliances. I turned my teapot on to boil water for tea the first time and I heard a loud crack. TUrned around and the entire top had shattered. We had the glass top replaced, which was a costly repair but we liked the stove. The other morning, I had a small skillet on the stovetop making eggs, I turned around and heard another loud CRACK! This time it cracked underneath the skillet and into about four large pieces. SO, I am guessing from what I see here, no reason to call Samsung. We can replace the glass top again but honestly, the money we spent to fix these issues were as much, if not more than, the stove itself. I would recommend another brand glass top stove/oven if youre looking for one.

We purchased all 4 appliances from Samsung when we moved into our new home
We purchased all 4 appliances from Samsung when we moved into our new home (Refrigerator, stove, over-the-range microwave, and dishwasher). A package deal from the former Future Shop chain. Total price was just over $4,500 for the stainless steel set. Within one year, things started to fail. The fan on the convection stove stopped one month after the warranty ended. I fixed it myself to the tune of $90. 2 years on, the dishwasher grew louder and louder. The dishes never cleaned 100% perfectly. Eventually we had to wash the dishes when nobody was home (That loud). 36 months after purchase, the refrigerator began to ice up and stopped working. Two repair bills and 2 loads of spoiled food. We gave up on it and had to replace it. Repair bills were $200. Lost groceries were $250. New Frigidaire price? = $2500+. At the anniversary of year 4, the dishwasher quit. Bosch replacement? - $800.Now the microwave. The plastic door hook broke inside. I had to rig the tension spring onto another inside part so it would work. Then the top, plastic grill broke. The screw clips fatigued and split causing the grill to fall. Now the door wont close and the replacement part isnt made anymore. Cost to replace the microwave? - Still looking today (Probably +$500). So there you have it friends. DONT BUY SAMSUNG.

About 2 years after purchasing the refrigerator I started having issues with water leaking inside, freezing up, stripping around freezer peeling off, ice and water maker not working, AND the refrigerator is rusting around door ice and water dispenser and around edges of doors. I have called Samsung numerous times to send someone to look at the refrigerator and see how much rust is on it. This refrigerator is in my home. The service tech they selected wasnt responding to my efforts to do the job. I called Samsung and reported the delay. After that call, they called me every day to determine if the rep had set up an appointment and offered to give the job to a different technician. I asked for another service center and they set it up and in 2 days, the microwave had the control panel replaced at no cost. Purchased a Samsung French door refrigerator ($2,300) in late 2016 from Home Depot. From the beginning the ice maker would become encased in ice and stop working every 6-8 weeks. Had to chip away at the ice around the ice maker for it to start working again. Searched the web for this problem and apparently this is a very common problem with this model. Contacted Samsung and was told service would cost me as it was out of warranty. Tried turning refrigerator off for a few hours to defrost ice and then it would work again for a few weeks. Now the ice maker and stopped working altogether. Called Samsung again and they refused service. This is a very poorly engineered and very expensive product to have customer service denied. Samsung microwave SMH9187ST - We experienced the error over the weekend (lots of fun having beeping coming from an unknown place in the house at 3 AM); unplugged and plugged back in in the morning, but it only worked for a couple hours before the SE error and beeping starting again. UGH... I am not brave enough to pull open the unit on my own, so I called Samsung and initial support told me they could do a service call at my expense where the unit is out of warranty. I stood my ground and politely reminded the service rep of how many errors are noted for this unit online, the commitment of Samsung to address the issue, and that numerous other owners have had this service provided for free - even for out of warranty units. After some further holding I was transferred to the Executive Service Center where the rep. agreed to cover the cost of the service call and repair provided it is in fact the touchpad that needs to be replaced. If the issue is something else (highly unlikely), I would own the cost. Seemed reasonable so I agreed. I am now pending a call from a local service vendor to schedule the work. The kill em with kindness approach worked well in getting them to work with me and cover the cost of the repair. Overall this has been a pretty reliable unit for the past 3 years. I just dont get why they dont do a full recall if this is going to happen with every unit eventually.

I have a $3000.00 5 yr old fridge. Every month, it starts getting extremely loud & we have to unplug it overnight to defrost then plug it back in again. When we called for support, they were no help so we live with the fact that we have to do this monthly to a really expensive refrigerator thats not that old. A few days ago, I was washing the largest shelf (plastic casing & tempered glass shelf) & when I rested the shelf on the counter to dry it, the glass just exploded into countless small shards of glass. I was in bare feet & cut myself trying to get out of the kitchen to get the broom. I called for the glass shelf & after getting told to call the parts dept. I was told that the glass shelf was never available on its own, the whole shelf was $155 part and discontinued so I was referred back to the original number to find out if there is a comparable part from a more current fridge that will work.I was routed to the U.S by the automated bot (I am in Canada) & after a 16min. phone call, I was told to call the same number again & make sure I was routed within Canada this time (how I was to do that, I have no idea). I called again & this time had to wait 30min. for a callback only to find out that they cant do anything except of course sell me another $3000 fridge if I wanted. I am now going to try & get someone to cut me a piece of glass to fit the shelf on my own.... Stay as far away from Samsung as possible-they need to stick to TVs-DO NOT buy an appliance from them, you will regret it!

Two months after buying a brand new side by side Samsung refrigerator, a fan blade broke and the sound was very loud. It took Samsung 10 days to find a technician to come to the house. The gentlemen discovered the defected blade and was quite surprised being that it was only two months old. He suspected a manufacturers defect and he ordered the part, but it would take several days. In the meantime, we had lost the food in the freezer and refrigerator. I then called Samsungs customer service and explained everything as it happened. Have had a problem with water puddling on the floor for some time now. Our Samsung french door w/ bottom freezer, water/ice in the door is a model #RF26VABPN. It is a 26 cu ft unit. At first it was a pretty nice unit. We started to notice small puddles of water every now and then on the floor. This we thought was just a maverick ice cube had escaped and slid under the fridge. It turns out that ice is building up inside the bottom plastic wall cover, thawing and make a small pond under the two bottom drawers. We contacted Samsung customer service but since it was out of warranty...no help. We are now going to relegate this fridge to the garage and buy a new unit and it will NOT BE A SAMSUNG! It is our opinion that their products are very low quality, poor/non-existent customer service, and just plain junk! Our advice to you is dont be mesmerized by the cool lighting, silver-tongued salesman, or the gadgets. These things are expensive so shop wisely.

I recently purchased a home and needed a microwave. My parents have a second home and they were kind enough to give me the 2-year-old Samsung microwave from that home. The microwave was hardly ever used when my parents had it, so apparently daily use was just too much for it. The keypad will not work - at all - not one single button. Ive tried unplugging it and leaving it unplugged for hours, it doesnt work. The display just flashes Simply Samsung forever. Then, in the middle of the night, it activates the 1 button by itself. Ill wake up and hear it repeatedly dinging and the display says 11:11. This microwave was never exposed to any water or harsh climate conditions. Its just a piece of **. I purchased a Samsung 2 door with freezer drawer from Best Buy a little over a year ago. First problem was a build up of frozen ice under the cool select tray. I chipped the ice out figuring it might be some water that leaked under the tray by accident. Two weeks pass and the same thing happens again. I call Samsung and of course they say the warranty is out and they cant do anything to resolve my issue. A week later the ice maker goes out. How can a year old refrigerator have these issues? Samsung offers no remedy for the problems and the customer service is horrible. That was a complete waste of $1500.I will never purchase a Samsung product again. When I see people looking at Samsung refrigerators, I immediately tell them the issues I have and for them to look at the reviews before making the same mistake I did buying a Samsung refrigerator. If Samsung refuses to help me Im going to help others by persuading them to stay away from the Samsung product. I even took pictures of my issues to share with potential Samsung buyers.

After a call to Samsung, a tech was sent to repair it. He informed us that the pump looked used and needed to be replaced. This product was purchased new and no other work was done so the defected part had to come from the factory. Samsung has refused to replace or repair the product. I have called the office of the president and still the answer I got was a resounding no... Again stay away from all Samsung products.

We purchased a refrigerator on July 29 2017 MODEL RF26HFENDSR/AA and started having noise problems shortly thereafter. This purchase was for a property we were retiring to and we were not there all the time for the first 7 months. Once we moved in there we noticed loud banging noises coming from the fridge at random times. These noises were so loud they woke us in the night.I initially called Samsung about this in early June of 2018. They sent a technician out but the sound did not happen while he was here. As we were in a remote area it took over 4 weeks to get him to come out. After this I was constantly on the phone trying to find out what they would do next and they finally asked me to send them an audio file of the sound. Which I did. They in turn sent it to Samsung and Samsung tells me this was normal. I called them several times after that and then in Oct they refused to even talk to me as they said it was now not in warranty. At that time I pointed out that the problem was there before the warranty was out and they said it didnt matter it was not their problem now. At that point I called Lowes where I purchased the fridge as I had a 4 year extended warranty with them. They sent the same company out again and the Technician was here all of 10 minutes, changed a setting on the fridge and left. This did not solve the problem. After numerous calls to both Lowes and the repair company of Lake City furnishings in Williams lake they finally came back with an email from Samsung saying that the noise was something that happens to only a few fridges and will disappear after 1 or possibly more than 2 years. This is not an acceptable resolution to me and I feel I have wasted countless hours on the phone with Samsung, Lake City and Lowes to no proper resolution.

I purchased the new adjustable double oven range as I liked its versatility. In the past I had a Maytag double oven. In comparison, the Samsung glass top is much less durable and more prone to scratching and damage. I also cannot seem to get the self clean to function. Happy with the ovens but not sure Id repurchase.

I am having too many issues with the Samsung Model RS261MDRS-XAA side by side which was built in July 2013. In 2015, it started freezing things such as milk, fruits etc. So end up putting new damper and main board through Samsung repair center website recommendation. It did cost quite a bit that time. Now water dispenser gets stuck when ever I use it and water keeps coming. I called Sears service this time and was told to change the main board. I dont think I am ready to spend more money on this faulty piece. Probably will not buy another Samsung product.

The best thing you can do is stay away from any Samsung Refrigerator. I did my research and Samsung was one of the top brands - big mistake. They have several problems that seem to be across all their refrigerator models. Ice makers leak or freeze up, motherboards go bad, valves malfunction, the list goes on. It wasnt until I started having all these problems - after 5 years - and I googled them to find out these problems are very common. I now have a 5 yr. old refrigerator that I paid $2500.00 for and is in need of over $1,200.00 of repairs. Samsung will not help. They say get the repairs done - and you have to use their service department - and then they will see if they can help. No, not going to do it. Buying a different brand and will never buy a Samsung again. Fair warning.

Sears has recently advised me, after telling me I was to receive a replacement for this lemon that they will not honor the replacement offer. I received 2 confirmations by phone on this and they (SEARS) sent a service person over to do the return report. I awaited Sears to arrange the replacement BUT instead they reneged after I called them to find out status. Some malarkey about, We dont take fridge back due to faulty ice maker issues... even though they replaced or fixed it several times only to have the problem recur.I have both the factory warranty and the optional Sears on this proximate 2-yr-old EXPENSIVE unit. I have advised Sears by phone that I will take them to court unless they exercise good faith on assurances, promises and warranties. Anyone else out there with endless ice maker issues Id like to know.

My Samsung refrigerator is still under factory warranty (5-years). The freezer compressor, heat exchanger & filter dryer went out. Contacted Samsung at least 10 times over the past two weeks. Their contractor that does their warranty repair does not have any certified technicians in my area and advised me to go back to Samsung for them to locate a certified technician. Samsung states they dont have any certified technicians and they will refund me up to $1954.00 (key word up to). However it will take 10-14 days for their finance dept. to verify the amount and issue a check. That means 30 days without a freezer compartment. I need ice to pack on my wifes leg for her knee replacement surgery. Temps. here in So. Calif. have been running between 100f and 114f. Constant running to store to obtain ice. The sad part is every time I speak with their rep. on the phone the issue will be taken care of in 3 days. Never will I buy a Samsung product again. Their service is terrible.

I bought a new refrigerator from Home Depot on June 22, 2016 (receipt attached). It was delivered on July 7, 2016. First the two front doors were not even. After numerous phone calls to home depot and Samsung the problem was partially corrected. After about a week of installation the unit shutdown by itself. Unplugging and re plugging it seemed to fix the problem and it started working again. We were away for a weekend and the unit shutdown and internal fridge and freezer temperature went to 80 F. All the food was spoiled.Again after numerous calls to Samsung and home depot a technician came and said the unit was overheating because of internal leaks of the coolant. He said he was going to report the problem to Samsung and I need to wait for Samsung for their decision if they want to replace the unit or send parts to repair the unit. This was on the 18th of August. We still do not have a resolution to the problem. My calls get transferred from one place to another and dropped many times. Very dissatisfied with their response. I do not have a working refrigerator after spending close to $3000 and both companies do not consider that I deserve a quick resolution to this issue. + I have been without a refrigerator for more than a week now during these hot summer days, but the response from these big companies is very disappointing to say the least.

I bought the Samsung Refrigerator in 5/14 from Best Buy (I will not go to Best Buy for anything). I started having problems with the ice maker not making ice in a few months and continue for over 3 years. My neighbor was nice enough to explain to me that the frig wont make ice if the frig is not level. Call someone out to level it. The installer and the repairmen should know that. It still would quit making ice, but I was able to knock the ice off the ice maker and it would start making ice again. The last 2 weeks, I am not able to get the frig to make ice.Back in April, the frig sounded like it was in the 500 road race. I called a repairman out and said it needed a evaporator cool kit. It 2 months for him to get it. He installed it and 2 weeks the terrible noise again was back. Called the same guy and he said he could install another kit, but it would continue to have problems. He said that Samsung does not allow the repairmen to know much more about the frig. He said that the refrigerator will eventually quit running. I needed to contact Samsung. I did that and he couldn’t find any repairman in my area. What a bunch of crap. The service is terrible. The frig is awful. I did write the CEO and President Tim Baxter and I didnt get an answer. I hate to pay over another $2000.00 to get another frig in less 4 years time.

We purchased this Samsung Refrigerator at Sears. It was one of the more expensive refrigerators in the store. We paid about $2500. Its junk from day one. Noisy. And the ice maker clogs and jams. And ice forms on the back and gets so noisy we cant stay in the same room as the machine. And when the Sears repair people come to fix it all they can say is that they are not very good machines, and they dont make them liked they used to. The junk will be off the warranty soon. I think its criminal that they dont recall the machine. Samsung stole $2500 from us and cost of many hours of not being able to use our house and having to stay home for the doctor to come, only to say its a chronic & terminal condition. I have nothing good to say about Samsung.

I work for a Big Box Home Improvement Store. A customer purchased a Samsung dishwasher from our store with installation. Our installers installed the dishwasher on Christmas Eve, 2014. On December 26, the customer called and said the dishwasher was not rinsing the dishes. The dishes had a soap film, food particles and spots on them. The dishes were a mess. Our installer went to her house to see if it had anything to do with the install. No, the dishwasher was installed correctly.I then called Samsung and got the famous ticket # for my client. In the meantime she also called Samsung and they agreed to send someone out. He came out and just looked at the machine, not opened it or repaired it, just looked and said she was using too much soap. She called Samsung and they told her to purchase a special soap, she did, didnt help. They told her to use vinegar in her rinse cycle, she did, didnt help. They told her to rinse three times for every one wash, she did, didnt help. In the meantime I continued to call Samsung to get a repair person out to her house to fix the dishwasher. I have so many ticket # by now it is comical. Never again did they send a repair person to her house. Now her LE light is remaining on.The hours I spent on the line with the call center from mumble mouth world was terrible. The representatives speak in such heavily accented English you cant understand them, and you know they are laughing at you. I had spoken with everyone in the call center since they dont really elevate you to a manager but just pass you off to the rep sitting next to them. With each rep you have to repeat the entire story again. I got mad one time and yelled Dont you people know how to use a computer? I really offended them and from then on I didnt have to repeat the story. They read the notes in the computer. Each 45 minute call ended with a promise to send a repairman out. They NEVER EVER DID!Then when you call to tell them the repair person never called to set up a repair date, you get the famous ticket # again. Then I told them I wanted a return authorization #. Our store was going to take the piece of junk back and give her a new one. They refused stating She hasnt had three attempts at a repair! What? She should have had about six repairs but the repair person never comes. No RA# until three attempts had been made to repair the dishwasher by the Samsung repair person. Constant loop. Fortunately our store manager stepped up to the plate. She is to come into the store and pick out any dishwasher she wants as long as it is not a Samsung. Our installers will install the dishwasher and remove the defective one, no cost to her.

I purchased a whole suite of Samsung products less than 2 years ago. The washing machine has a slow leak, the oven works ok, however the fridge is a nightmare. Dont expect the ice maker to last more than a year. Also the freezer gets pretty heavy when loaded and the handle is held on by a flimsy piece of plastic. Ours broke after a year and a half and we were told that it is way out of warranty. I kind of expected a handle to last more than 19 months. On top of that there is no easy fix. It isnt just replacing the handle. Its all of the mechanics in the door, they actually told me via chat that this is not something you can fix. It needs a service call from a licensed Samsung repair shop. So hundreds of dollars just to fix my door handle. Upon searching this issue there are hundreds of people with this problem. Samsung has great electronics but I will never buy another Samsung appliance, theres a reason they are generally cheaper than the rest.

Samsung RF217ACPN leaking issue - Purchased the French door refrigerator in August 2010. It started to leak water inside and bottom of the drawers after about 18 months. We just put a sponge down those areas, and clean the water when it very wet. Then we took all food out and leave all doors opened for a couple days in the summer. Less than 2 weeks, the water drop again and even worse. We then repeat the above procedure and left it dry for 3 days this time in the summer. Nothing was changed. We decided to open the cover locate above the drawers. Then we find out that it seems has been opened and repaired before we purchased it! There is big hole at side of bottom of the foam that have tape to cover it. The metal panel has separated with the foam that used duct tape to connect them. The soft stick tape was broken and covered only 3/4 of the bottom...

We bought a Samsung refrigerator - French doors with freezer drawer on bottom model #RF217ACWP-XAA - in July 2012. What a MISTAKE! It was not even one year old, and the fridge wasnt cooling, the freezer was defrosting, over one inch of water was accumulating in both crisper drawers, and the ice maker stopped working. The fan built up with ice and would make a loud noise until it would freeze up solid. This is happening again for the FOURTH time since 2013! Three different repairmen have been here to fix the problems, and each one found low freon due to leakage. The last repairman who was here said the leaks are due to manufacturer defects, as there were faulty welds in the solder joints in the back of the sealed systems unit. Samsung has not been willing to replace the fridge or refund our purchase price. They refuse to acknowledge that they are selling defective merchandise to consumers. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product, and I advise others to do the same. If there is not a class action suit pending against Samsung, then there should be. Im fed up with their companys poor customer service and blatant disregard for consumers complaints!

We did as instructed to no avail. They would not schedule a service call because they said to give it a chance.and check it in the morning. Needless to say, there was nothing cold in the morning. When we called again they refused to do anything before Tuesday. It was a Holiday weekend. This product is not one year old yet they refused any help. We purchased the Samsung 24 Stormwash dishwasher in August 2020. After the first time I ran a full cycle, I got an error code OC. I looked it up and the manual said to contact the manufacturer. I tried using another cycle to see if that would work, it didnt. So I tried several other cycles and it finally completed a cycle. But I immediately noticed it didnt wash the dishes at all. Dishes that didnt even have grease on them before, were greasy with debris on it. Mind you, I rinse the majority of the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. So I called Home Depot to tell them it wasnt working and they informed me at that moment that it was purchased from the manufacturer so I would have to contact them. Soooo, I called them and I have had the run around from the very beginning. They arranged with a local company to send a tech out to look at it. That is whole story in itself (and not a good one). He FINALLY came out, said it needed a part, ordered it and came back to install it a week later. After he left, I tried a cycle and it worked. And then I ran another cycle and it barely got about 2 to 5 minutes into the cycle and it stopped. I called Samsung again, and after speaking to the lady (a rather rude lady at that), she finally escalated it for me to get a refund or replacement because they couldnt get in contact with the company that supposedly fixed my unit. They were supposed to call me back within 24 to 48 hours. A WEEK later, I called them because I never got a phone call back and they had the nerve to tell me I didnt qualify for a replacement or refund. They sent a defective unit that cost $1052.85 and now I have to jump through hoops just to get the unit fixed. The rep has been rude and dismissive. The unit is horrible! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. We have everything else Samsung, but we will NEVER buy from them again!

Samsung Refrigerator Model RF268ABPN delivered from Best Buy on 14 May 2010. Display malfunctioned on 22 Feb 2012. Display for ice maker on/off, dispenser display lights are erroneous and show locked for water, nothing for crushed ice, and the Fahrenheit symbol constantly displays. Ice maker control displays are constantly showing off. On 29 Feb 2012, the freezer ice maker is noted as not working.1 Mar 2012, Samsung support contacted. The support tech doesnt comprehend the spoken word as spoken. Multiple attempts were made before tech could comprehend the word malfunctioning and erroneous display. I was advised to make sure the water valve in the wall was on, despite not having one. I was advised to reset the ice maker, which was done, and then was told to make sure the control shows ice maker not locked, which cant be done with piece of crap Chinese display that is malfunctioning. I was advised that the water filter might be clogged, despite good flow from the dispenser. The tech was obviously reading off a check list, and has no clue.I was informed that the warranty is only 1 year, but they would contact a repair tech if I would have to pay for myself. One year? Seriously? We handed out $1,800.00 for a fridge with a one year warranty, that is essentially useless after less than two years. If the repair bill is over $300, its going in the dump. I am done with Samsung and their Chinese made trash period. I get better service, support and warranty out of a pair of $100 boots.

I purchased this product (Side by Side Show Case Refrigerator) in December
I purchased this product (Side by Side Show Case Refrigerator) in December thinking I was getting a good reliable product. Needless to say I had a problem with frost building up in the freezer in a so call frost free refrigerator. Samsung would continue to state that it was normal that seems to be their line they use so they do not have to replace. I had the problem right away. If they send someone out three times for the same thing policy is that they need to replace if cant repair. So if they cant replace it they will tell you its normal so they wont have to replace. I had another problem with the ice maker crushing the ice in cube mode. Of course I was told that this is normal too. I was able to get it replaced by Home Depot after having numerous contacts and pictures and technicians coming out. I was hoping that was going to be the last of my nightmare but that is not the case. The new replacement 2/23/2016 does the same thing. They replaced the hinges cause the door make a grinding noise. I was told to give it 3 weeks to settle. So far it still is making the same noise. Now with the frost in the freezer and the ice crunching ice in cube setting and now there is moisture building inside the containers in the fridge. Now from the reviews and my experience its going to be a unpleasant battle with Samsung not standing by their product. I would think twice about purchasing this product because if you have any problems you more then likely would have to deal with it. If Samsung know that these are known issues they should make it known to the consumers and if not then stand by their products.

Samsung Refrigerator Model RB215LASH - Samsung is a disgrace. I have sworn off any product made by Samsung as a result of my experience with this refrigerator. This refrigerator began giving me trouble at ten months. I went out of town to work and when I came home it wasnt working at all. Neither Lowes nor Samsung was concerned about the fact that they are selling a piece of junk. I contacted Samsungs recommended repair company and during the visit, I was advised that no one wants to work on them because they continue to fail even after repairs are made.A faulty refrigerator is a health and safety issue and has the potential to kill. The digital thermometer displays the temperature incorrectly. Perishable food items stored above 40 degrees for more than two hours can grow deadly bacteria. Samsung, you should be ashamed. Unfortunately, today it is all about the dollar, and honor and integrity have no place in the corporate equation. Im not sure why, but I did expect more from Lowes. Next step for me will be a catchy little video on YouTube where I use my Samsung refrigerator as an anchor, pushing it off of a boat with a big blue ribbon tied around it. (Dont worry, Ill make sure not to harm the environment in the process and to hoist it back up and dispose of it properly after the filming.)

The first thing on my list was that our new stainless fridge be ultra quiet. We got the RF30HBED French door with 2 drawers. Very nice, just what I wanted. Its the loudest weve ever had in 46 years of marriage. Should have stuck with my Kenmores.

Very dissatisfied with this Samsung Dishwasher. Will never purchase one again. Very few features. Great size for loading a lot of dishes. Unfortunately, it doesnt clean them well. Great appearance! Bought it brand new at Lowes in October 2012. Within 60 days already not cleaning dishes well and called as it was under warranty. Screen was clogged with food of some sort. Worked for about 6 months and leaving white film on all glasses. Still does.

This is a side by side and seems to function very well. I have space in freezer for most everything I get and the refrigerator side is great in size also. It beeps if you leave door open too long while you are looking. For a side by side it is not too bad looking either. I love the freezer part to get ice and water and crushed ice also.

We have had this Samsung refrigerator for 3 years now and the ice maker has given us problems from the get-go. It freezes over and stops making ice and we need to break the ice down constantly. It drips water into the fridge and then freezes under the deli drawer and drips down the left side to the floor outside of the unit. A bin has already cracked and I have it packed taped and the inside pull drawer in the freezer has come apart as well. Not a good purchase at all.

I have owned a Samsung side by side refrigerator (model rsg257aars) for about three years. About one month ago, I started noticing that water was coming out of the water dispenser in significant volume intermittently. The amount of water has been enough to flood my kitchen floor on multiple occasions. I know the water is coming from the dispenser as I placed a solo cup under the dispenser which has been filled each time after a flood. I have also seen the process start myself. The flow only stops when I push the water dispensing pad much like if I was filling a cup of water. I have called three different repairmen including the Samsung authorized repair personnel who have not been able to fix the problem. I have paid more than $400 at this point. In reading lots of these Samsung issues, I suspect that part of the problems is due to the electrical boards being defective causing a multitude of the matters noted in this forum.

Our Samsung Microwave SMH9187S had to have its motherboard replaced twice now in less than 3 years due to SE error and while run a few seconds and stopping. According to their own technical repair specialist it is a design problem with moisture which occurs when cooking food on the stove below their over-the-range Samsung Microwave SMH9187S units (Very Expensive Issue to continually have to fix). See all the complaints with Samsung on the Internet regarding not fixing known design and potential safety issues with its products and discontinuing them once issues start to mount to avoid additional liability. They just say its out of warranty and not our problem, call a Samsung authorized service company to have repairs made. This will be the last Samsung product we ever buy again (that includes everything Samsung makes from refrigerators, oven, stoves washers, dryers, phones, tablets, TVs, laptops, electronics, etc. And especially microwaves). When a company knowing refuses to stand behind its product design defects the only course for consumers is to not trust or purchase any products from that company and warn all your friends and neighbors regarding of the companies business practices after the sale and they have got your money. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

This Samsung twin cooling plus is the worst refrigerator ever! Every 5-6 months you have to shut down and defrost it, it freezes up like the refrigerators did back in the 50s! You have to take the whole back of the refrigerator apart to get the coil to defrost which is about 8-10hrs of defrosting! I would never recommend spending 1800.00 for this piece of garbage! They tell me that it is a common problem but offer no fixes! You think for the money spent they would help! But NO.

Purchased Samsung fridge 2013, 3 door. Great unit for the first year. Since then I have to remove the ice maker every 3 months to thaw out and chip the ice off the compartment walls. The ice builds up around the ice maker and eventually blocking the ice from dropping. Ice backs up, freezes together forming an ice rock. Dealer cant help because it is a design flaw and Samsung will not admit it. Slap me if I ever purchase anything made by Samsung.

We have an ongoing problem with ice build up under the cooling drawer. We had previously owned a Samsung refrigerator with the same issue, which was due supposedly to a too short heating element at the bottom of the coil. When we purchased our current unit, we were assured that this design problem had been resolved. It has not. I encourage the government to force Samsung to recall these units. We will never purchase another Samsung appliance.

This is the third time in less than 2 years that we have had to order replacement parts for what we thought was a fantastic product. First in 13 months after purchase the left vegetable drawer had to be replaced because a piece broke off, then 6 months later one of the door bins on the right refrigerator door cracked and broke. Today I have ordered hinges for both the left and right vegetable drawers which have cracked pieces. We are 2 senior citizens and do not abuse our refrigerator or have an overabundance of food in the drawers but I will NEVER buy another one of your products. They are cheaply made and I might add quite expensive.

CAUTION: FIRE: BAD ICE MAKER! Our SAMSUNG Refrigerator has the same ice maker problem everybody else has. We had it repaired once under warranty. After that didnt work, we had it replaced under warranty. Well, replacing the same defective ice maker didnt work either. After contacting Samsung to see if they could help, we were asked to PAY for another ice maker and service visit because our warranty had run out. NOW, today, our ice maker wouldnt stop rotating and was making a lot of noise. When I removed the ice bucket, SMOKE started billowing out! My smoke alarm went off and it smelled like burning plastic. The only way to get it to stop was to UNPLUG the refrigerator.

We had our brand new refrigerator delivered yesterday. This morning realized the refrigerator part was really not cooling off enough. Checked the degrees in it and it registered 50. We called Samsung and was told we had to go through where we purchased and they in turn contacted Samsung. Samsung at first tried to say 50 degrees was acceptable. We went down to Home Depot with the manual and asked where does it say that. After a number of phone calls Samsung has agreed to replace it but a new delivery one month from now! They leave you high and dry and could care less you are without a refrigerator and why would I want it repaired. I forgot to mention the handle was broken too! At this point I want Home Depot to come pick up the refrigerator and Ill pick out a new one. Not a Samsung brand. Customer service does not care about the consumer! Will never buy that brand again!

Our town experienced a power outage which cause our 10-month-old Samsung Refrigerator electrical/digital problems - freezer/fridge temperature indicator pad reading 88/88. This also controls ice and water so those are out also. Fortunately the freezer and refrigerator as still cooling, but I have no idea if this is to the correct temperature. Samsung 1st year warranty service is so far a joke. I called Samsung and they gave me the number of the warranty service contact for my area said they would call them and tell them it was urgent. Samsung gave an old number for Service Click and I tracked them down. They were to call in two or three days (thankfully the food is still cold). This is the fourth day so I called them. I was put on hold for 30 minutes, then got a message to leave my number and the nature of the problem and they would call back. This service is 350 miles away in Southern California. That would be quite a drive. More on this later. The more I wait the angrier I get. Right now I am Dissatisfied.

Last Thursday, I set the oven to 375 degrees and when it was at temperature
Last Thursday, I set the oven to 375 degrees and when it was at temperature, put chicken in to cook for dinner. About 10 minutes later, we heard a loud pop and smoke began to pour out of the back of the control panel. Then flames appeared. We turned off the house circuit breaker and used a fire extinguisher to douse the flames. The oven door locked as though it was on self-cleaning mode. We waited until the appliance had completely cooled and removed the back of it to see where the fire had occurred. It was clearly a short in the wiring that caused the fire.If we had not been close by to hear and see the fire as it started, it could have easily spread. As it was, the house was filled with acrid smoke, and 3 days later, there is a lingering bad odour from the fire. All we lost was about $40 worth of chicken and the stove itself - we had to pry the oven door open to remove the uncooked meat, because we were afraid to plug the stove back in to see if the door would release on its own. We have three children, one of whom is a 7 month old baby, and my senior citizen parents were visiting - we are lucky that no one was injured, and that the kitchen and the rest of the house suffered no real damage. All of us have breathing problems due to asthma and allergies, and we all had headaches, sore throats, and irritated sinuses from the smoke. We are extremely upset at the dangerous situation that occurred. It was clearly the result of shoddy design and a cheaply constructed product. My husband paid $1400 for this stove five years ago when he was living alone. He barely used the appliance until September 2012 when I moved in with my two children. Since then, we have used it every day for typical cooking. We should be able to expect a stove to endure regular use for more than 3 years without any issue, especially given the initial price paid. We should be able to expect a certain standard of safety, where a household appliance should not light on fire without warning, putting life and property at risk.Since January this year, the two front elements on the stove top have malfunctioned. It is not possible to control the temperature setting on these elements - they are either off or on high. This is likely attributable to a short circuit in the wiring as well (one that did not result in a fire) since the problem occurred suddenly. In retrospect, the malfunctioning elements were clearly a sign that the appliance was dangerously flawed. We have emailed Samsung to request compensation for the loss of our appliance, and for the fact that it caused a fire that endangered our family and our home. We would like Samsung to take responsibility for funding a replacement appliance, since it is obviously the fault of the design and construction of this stove that it malfunctioned, in the amount of $1400. We will not accept a repair, since the appliance is now unusable, nor will we accept a replacement Samsung stove, since we could never trust it. We would like Samsung to be held accountable for the shoddy household range it produced.I have reported the incident to the Canadian Standards Association to complain about their alleged inspection and endorsement of this inferior and dangerous product, but according to the website, they will not publicly report on any findings if they investigate my claim because of confidentiality concerns. I interpret that to mean that they are protecting manufacturers rather than consumers. In the past, we have also owned a Samsung dryer, which we replaced in January 2015 due to a similar break-down. The dryer stopped heating up after only 3 years of regular use - we assumed it was due to the element burning out, but did not investigate further.

We have a Samsung Fridge, which we bought in March of 2012 at Lowes. In December of 2012 I noticed the icemaker was no longer making ice. Thankfully the appliance was under warranty so the repairman came and fixed it. I thought everything was fixed until about 8 months later. No more ice. Every two weeks my husband and I have to take apart the ice machine system and thaw it out. Reading the comments it sounds like this will be a problem until I feel we have gotten our 2,000 dollars worth and then we can take a sledgehammer to it after we buy a different fridge that is NOT a Samsung. I have owned this refrigerator for over 3 years and in that short time had the ice machine completely freeze, the refrigerator stop working and then and the compressor malfunction. I fixed the ice machine by following manufacturer instructions and defrosted completely and it worked. When the refrigerator stopped, I called Samsung and they provided a set of instructions to reboot the refrigerator and it worked for about 10 days and then it stopped chilling appropriately. After calling Samsung again, they sent two different technicians who both said the compressor was broken. After a lot of calls and hassle over the course of 5 weeks, I still dont have it fixed or replaced. They are estimating an additional 2-3 weeks for the replacement under warranty. The service has been opaque, slow, unreliable (never call when they say they will) and overall horrible. I do not recommend buying a Samsung appliance and I never will again.

I bought all new Samsung appliances for my kitchen remodel - 22cuft Family Flex Refrigerator w/ door computer, Samsung Washer/Dryer and a Samsung 5-Burner 5.8-cu ft Self-cleaning True Convection Freestanding Gas Range (Black Stainless Steel) Model # NX58M6630SG. Within two years the refrigerator computer has issues, the ice cube maker constantly froze solid and FINALLY Samsung replaced. Now the black stainless paint on my $1200 gas range is peeling off! Contacting Samsung and Im told thats cosmetic damage due to wear and tear.Samsung products are expensive but under the surface are inferior appliances that start top fail shortly after the 1 year warranty period. In the case of the peeling paint off the range, that isnt even covered during the warranty period. Stay away from Samsung. Do not spend good money on their inferior appliances. They are impossible to work with to resolve issues. I will not be letting this most recent defect go without lots of complaining with Lowes where they were purchased and with Samsung. I will be filing a lawsuit against Samsung for replacement cost of the gas range.

I like the self cleaning oven. The only thing I would change is the oven light shutting off every time I open it to check on whats cooking. I could look through the door, but not only am I old, Im old fashioned and prefer opening the door to see if whats cooking is done. Plus sometimes a toothpick, or knife test must be done to check to see if the food is done.
