I purchased the Samsung SMH9187ST microwave in May 2011 and installed it in July 2011. The unit failed on September 1, 2012! I barely used it, too. There was no SE error code as Ive been hearing or beeping, just a blank display and no response. I unplugged the unit for about an hour and replugged it - no luck. I left it unplugged for 2 days and then it worked again for about a week and today the unit is again completely unresponsive, even after trying to plug it back in after 2 days of being unplugged. Im in for a class action suit. The company has ripped a lot of people off and should have a complete recall on these units. My biggest beef is that this unit was a pain to install and now Im looking at dismantling and reinstalling another unit. Im not so upset about the loss of $245 I paid for it but rather all of my time and frustration. Im done with Samsung.

I purchased this dishwasher from The Bay in July 2017, as it matched my other dark SS appliances. I could not install it until May 2018. Worked great until November 2018. Then we heard a grinding noise in the middle of a cycle. At first we thought it was the water wall arm. Was have since determined it is the Drain pump. Nothing has been caught in the drain that we can access. I live in a remote part of BC on the coast where I travel by ferry. It is impossible to get a Service guy to come here, have been waiting 3 weeks now. I called Samsung 4 times asking if they would at least pay for the cost of a new pump which is about $150. They said NOT UNDER WARRANTY. Go figure a $1,000 dishwasher doesnt last 6 months after install. My previous 20 year old Kenmore worked and is still working when I gave it to my parents. PLEASE DO BYPASS ANY SAMSUNG DISHWASHER PURCHASE. You will have nothing but problems within a short period of time.

RF25HM FREEZER DOES NOT FREEZE! We purchased a Samsung in July 2015. In March of this year the drawer freezer stopped working, as did the ice maker. Set up an appointment for them to come out to diagnose the problem. The service tech was here yesterday and did an excellent job of troubleshooting the problem. He thought it would be a simple part replacement (circuit board). As it turned out, it was a sealed unit problem and it would be very expensive. The refrigerator still cools, just not the freezer. He explained that the freezer and refer share the same compressor, the part that operates the freezer was clogged or not functioning properly. I assume there is a valve of sorts that changes from refer to freezer when necessary. In essence, I am saying that Samsung is junk. DO NOT BUY! They should stick to cell phones and tablets. We have a Samsung Smart TV that we wish we hadnt purchased too! The frustrating part is that it was just over the warranty period. I am certain that I am not alone in this, when you pay over $2000 for a refrigerator it should last longer than just under 4 years!

My dishwasher looks nice. It does a good job of cleaning but runs a long time. The size is good but seems very dark inside. We had a problem with it the first year and Samsung did fix it but a year later the same problem. They paid for the parts but we had to pay for the repair. This was the same problem that we had with it the first time. Wish I had bought another KitchenAid.

I have brand new house. I bought all Samsung appliances. The dishwasher started smoking and leaking. I call Best Buy to file a complaint. They told me I should call Samsung. I did call Samsung to file a complaint about dishwasher and damages to my floor. They sent out a technician to repair dishwasher and for me to take pictures of damages. Technician came out 4 times before he said it could not be fixed and just tell Samsung to replaced. When I received credit from Best Buy, I BOUGHT AN LG DISHWASHER. I will never buy a Samsung product again. They have yet to replace my floor. I call twice a week. They keep transferring me to ESR team that says it is being handle in upper management and they dont have a number for them or their insurance company number.

I purchased a 3 door Samsung refrigerator with ice maker 3 years ago. The refrigerator is junk. It freezes up making clucking jarring sounds because of the ice build up. It leaks under the crisper drawers and on to the floor outside of the fridge. I have contacted Samsung for the last 6 months. They asked me to allow them to pay a service tech to come fix it. The service tech broke the fridge and had me pay $400 to fix it. Still does the same thing. Samsung asked to pay for another repair but their techs could not make an appointment that was convenient for me then told me to use a tech in my area to state the fridge was unrepairable. I did so and paid $85. Now they are telling me that it is a seal problem and that I am either leaving my doors open or the doors are not on properly. I have since purchased a Maytag and threw the Samsung off my back porch. Samsung creates ticket numbers and closes them never returning phone calls or emails. Showing they are the guilty party in the problem with this fridge. I currently have had another ticket escalated to ask to pay for what I have put out because they asked me to do this in order to resolve the issue. $481. They just give you the runaround once again proving they are guilty of knowing that these are junk. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING SAMSUNG.

I too bought the French Doors Samsung refrigerator. Five ice maker repairs, water in floor, 80 degrees in fridge side and the clicking of the fan as it starts hitting ice buildup and then dies a painful death. This refrigerator is truly junk and is not inexpensive. I have had it four years and as I type this it is not working. Tech suppose to come Tuesday the 14th of August. Repair if able to be repaired will only last short while. To say the least I am give up fooling with this expensive piece of junk and will never buy another Samsung fridge.

I bought a Samsung convection oven about 1 year. At day of delivery I found a big scratch and told the delivery man about it. He told me to call store next day because they would be closed so I did. They fix it 2 months later. Now having the stove for about 3 week it cook great just as advertised. Now 4 weeks it cook like my old one. This oven was not cooking the way it was sold and advertised so I call and had it worked on and it did not do anything about the way I cook.To make a long story told I had it worked on 7 times and to this day it was going to be exchanged. That told me if I had the problem 4 time it would be switched out. That was a lie and am very upset so I have your product that works worse than my old one. It should cook to panda bottom, the same without flipping the food. So Samsung I need my money back or a new oven that will last longer than three weeks. Model number is ne595roabs. Thank you for the headaches. Can you fix my problem? That is all.

I ordered Samsung Gas Range, Model NX58H9500WS/AA from Plessers on April 4th, 2016. In two months, the surface burn grates cracked. I filed a claim, to my dismay, the customer service is the worst ever I had dealt with. I was asked to send the pictures of the defect parts and the receipts. I sent what they asked for on June 20th. Until today, I did not hear a word. I just called and was told that the burner grates and the cap are not covered. The gas range is quite expensive. I cannot believe that the burn grates cracked in two months. The workmanship is extremely poor.

Two technicians from two separate repair places were sent by Samsung and each said the diagnostics were not showing a problem so the unit is working correctly and the company is not at fault. Well the dishes do not get clean, the dryer does not dry, the glasses break because they fall over, and the water glasses actually have food spattered and dried on them when they are removed from the unit. Shame on Samsung for producing a dishwasher that actually ultimately makes glasses dirtier than when they were placed in the machine!

I have had issues with my four-door refrigerator the last 6 weeks. We had noticed the frozen foods werent quite as frozen as they should be and then the ice maker stopped dumping ice. I had noticed previously that the ice in the holder always froze against the right-hand side of the bucket and would stop dispensing ice. I then noticed the ice maker would fill with water and would produce ice but never dumped it. I hit the reset button and it worked perfectly. It never would begin normal ice production on its own, and I had to continually hit the reset button for ice to be dumped ever two hours. Now, the freezer has become the fridge! No ice now and all of the food in that portion are thawed, just water in the ice tray that never freezes. I called the helpdesk (almost said it with a straight face) and they could do nothing except send a serviceman to repair the unit at my cost. I asked if they would guarantee their work and she said that they could only try and fix it. I told her to me try was not a guarantee of it being fixed. I asked if they would stand behind the work of their suggested contractors and she said again, they would try and fix it.I am anxiously awaiting a call from the repairman to see the cost of him driving to my house and the estimated charges he thinks he will have. I will ask him if HE stands behind his work since Samsung won’t. If it goes as it has with all of the other customers on this site, I will NOT be buying a new refrigerator from Samsung, and I will contact Lowe’s and tell them of my displeasure with one of their distributors.

The fans in the back panel froze up due to the ice maker problem and I had to have a repairman replace them to the tune of $400. They may have fixed the newer models but where is the customer service for previous customers? An allowance or some type of prorated cost adjustment should be made!

Horrible. Spent thousands on the refrigerator and now I see filter light on and learn I need to spend $45 every 6 months to replace water filter. Also, microwave filter needs to be replaced every 6 months as well- only $11 for that. Why didnt the Lowes salesman tell me I would need to spend additional money every 6 months and replace these filters? Also, when I called customer service I needed to ask him to spell out what he was saying because I could not understand a word. Not sure which country I reached but it sure wasnt the US. I will not even go into the fact that I also bought a Samsung electric oven/cooktop and needed to replace the cooktop after 3 months because it cracked. Samsung products are horrible. Within months of purchasing my RF23J9011SR counter depth 4 door fridge...ice maker stopped working. I defrosted it several times and it did work but you can hear the gear (auger) clicking. Then 1.5 yr later, it completely stopped working. I believe the design is flawed as the ice maker sits in the refrigerator section and not the freezer area. Having different temperatures, plastic gears, etc...are probably the root cause. Fortunately, Samsung did honor a one time warranty so that it wouldnt cost me the $610 to replace the case auger and ice maker via the authorized repair place.

I have been waiting since July 27 for more repairs for the same issues and they cant get anyone to do my repair until Aug 27. The ice maker and cooling issues are defects that have been around since 2006. Samsungs customer service is horrible! They have been giving some refunds for their faulty refrigerators but it can take months of waiting and countless hour on the phone with them, if you can get to a human. I love the design of this unit but having to pay $900 in service fees is unacceptable. Avoid at all costs!!!

I noticed dripping from the ice maker on the Thursday before New Years weekend. We immediately called service. They said to do a reset by unplugging the fridge for 3 minutes. We did as instructed to no avail. They would not schedule a service call because they said to give it a chance.and check it in the morning. Needless to say, there was nothing cold in the morning. When we called again they refused to do anything before Tuesday. It was a Holiday weekend. This product is not one year old yet they refused any help. When we continued to ask for help we were told to send an email and wait for a response. That response came after 5 pm so it was too late to do anything. We have now been without refrigeration for 6 days. DONT BUY SAMSUNG!!!

Most of the time most of the dishes are clean, but coffee grounds and such are thrown up into the cups and glasses on the top rack. Stuff in the bottom is okay, as are things in that top drawer for silverware. The dishes are always rinsed off and loaded carefully. Its annoying to always have to check the inside of the cups and glasses. Pots usually get clean on the pots and pans cycle, unless there is stuck on food.

Remodeled kitchen at the Shore. Bought Samsung Refrigerator and dishwasher.
Remodeled kitchen at the Shore. Bought Samsung Refrigerator and dishwasher. After reading Consumer report. Right off the bat dishes were always wet, never dried, had to hand dry. Called Samsung and was told to turn my hot water heater up and use on sanitize and heavy load settings. (This is great way to save energy.) This really did not accomplish much. Dishes still wet, still had to be dried by hand. This dishwasher is only used on weekends in the summer maybe at most it was used 20 times the first year. Second summer by 4th of July used around 6 times and a grinding noise started. Not all the time but at end of cycle. Called repair person (independent) 4 people refused to work on Samsung. I found one repair person who I paid $200 dollars to come and he told me I needed a new motor, which would be upward of $300. Washed the dishes for the remainder of that year. Third summer, called Sears, got a service contract for all products purchased from them, $300. Sears came and replaced pump, and said there was lots of plastic rack clips in pump, we counted 4. I never raise or lower the rack. The clips broke from just simply pulling it out and pushing it back. I was instructed to do this gently. That was 4 weeks ago. SE light came on and dishwasher stopped, after at tops 6 uses and gently moving the rack back and forth running hot water for 3-4 min. until very hot before turning on dishwasher at heavy and sanitize load. After a two week wait for service and another week for parts Sears is scheduled to come and replace pump and motor and all the rack clips. This will still be under my repair agreement with Sears (thank Goodness). So far my 3 year old Samsung DMR78DHS $800 plus delivery and installation has cost me $500. That is $1300. divided by the times used 30 = $43.33 each times it has been used. WOW!!! Not counting energy cost. I have no expectation that this scheduled repair will last. I hope it will until the end of summer and I will plan on buying a new dishwasher. I will under no circumstance buy another Samsung product. I wouldnt pay sales tax on another Samsung product if they gave me one. Not worth the trouble.

Not only will Samsung not to do anything because it’s out of warranty but they can’t because they don’t make the parts for it anymore. The burners are no longer available and the glass top is on at least 25 day backorder. We bought a four appliance package from RC Willey’s. Microwave, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher. Microwave turns on when you when you shut the door. You have to push the stop button where it will just run all day long no matter what. Dishwasher smells foul no matter what we do. We purchased the Samsung refrigerator (Rsh260sh) about 7 years ago and started having to replace parts 6 months after the warranty expired. We purchased our Samsung refrigerator 4 years ago as new homeowners. Towards the beginning of July this year, we started having issues with the freezer not keeping things frozen - ice cream melting, meat thawing, etc. After trying the recommendations in the manual and unplugging it to reset it per Samsung, it seemed like our problem was fixed... for about a week. So I called Samsung again. On July 21, a technician from one of their service centers, MidAmerica, came out and discovered our sealed refrigeration system was leaking (evaporator & compressor - attached is a picture of the evaporator; all the coils are supposed to be covered in ice and only the top one of ours is due to the loss of coolant)... he also informed us that the sealed refrigeration system was still under warranty (5 year warranty stated in manual). However, he couldnt fix it because he supposedly just moved to our state and didnt have the insurance/licensure to carry the parts... a little fishy, but he said we should be able to call Samsung and they will find a trained technician to fix it. Turns out - Samsung has no trained technicians for sealed refrigeration systems in our area, so they told us to find our own and they will reimburse us but only if the technician we found diagnosed the same problem... okay? So we call Mr. Appliance and they were fantastic! They came out on 7/30. They diagnosed the SAME problem but stated it would be over $2000 to fix it. They also informed us it was probably only a matter of time until our fresh food side stopped keeping things cool too. We were shocked. The refrigerator did not even cost that much to begin with and we also dont have $2000 lying around. So I contact Samsung again, spoke with a girl named Brady. I offered to email her the quote as well as our proof of purchase to show that it seemed ridiculous that we were going to repair a refrigerator under a manufacturers warranty for more than it was worth when we bought it. She put me on hold for a brief moment and came back to say we just needed to pay it and Samsung would reimburse us (mind you, there has never been anything in writing stating they would reimburse us... theyre expecting us to just go on their word). Refused to let me email the quote to them and also refused to let me speak to a supervisor about the issue. She stated a supervisor would email me... which never happened. In the meantime, we called Mr. Appliance about ordering the parts and they stated it would probably take over a month to get the compressor from Samsung... so my fiance calls Samsung to inform them of this. In our minds, it should not take a month (possibly longer) to get a warranty issue fixed! Asks to speak to a supervisor, on the phone for over an hour and talks to three separate people who are not supervisors and just keep saying its their policy to have us pay this exorbitant amount of money and expect them to reimburse us. We suggested that they just replace the refrigerator - they keep indirectly saying they will find a way to get the issue resolved. They say a supervisor will call us back in 24-48 hours... we wait 3 business days and havent heard anything, so I call them on 8/6. I spoke with Michael, who was very nice and genuinely seemed shocked that it was taking this long to get this fixed. He actually wanted me to email him the receipts and proof of purchase unlike Brady and stated they would be calling Mr. Appliance since they were the only people who said they could truly fix it. We were relieved. This was short-lived however because the next day they assign our ticket to MidAmerica AGAIN and some other local company (J&D) who had already told us they dont have someone trained in sealed refrigeration systems. By this time, I am irate. I call again and tell them to refer to the images of the receipts I sent, associated with the ticket number from my phone call on 8/6 with Michael. Gregory tells me there are no images with that ticket number. I felt like I was going crazy! These people are ridiculous. They are like robots every time you call - there is no history of ongoing issues, they close ticket numbers before the problem is resolved and just open a new one every time. They give you the run-around and obviously no one truly cares about resolving your problem. I submitted the images again and am still waiting on another phone call. If this product wasnt still under a manufacturers warranty, I wouldve been done weeks ago. It has affected our quality of life from the stress and time weve put into this and weve spent more money than anticipated on going out to eat and frequent grocery trips for fresh food. I feel defeated. I wish there was a no star option. It is somewhat comforting to see that so many other people have had issues with their Samsung refrigerators, as well as their customer service department, but also so unfortunate. I would NOT recommend any of their products to anyone at this point. I would never want anyone else to go through this like we have. Please consider this review (I know its long - sorry! ), as well as all the others, before purchasing a Samsung product.

Samsung refrigerator/freezer RFG298HDRS, 5 years old, was fine for the firs
Samsung refrigerator/freezer RFG298HDRS, 5 years old, was fine for the first 3 years. First noticed freezer drawer was becoming more difficult to pull open. While troubleshooting noticed Ice Buildup under drawer. Temporary resolution was achieved by reaching behind the pulled open drawer (drawer pulled wide open, but NOT removed) and using my fist to pound on the ice, broke it up and removed it by hand. This technique needs to be repeated every 2-3 months. I can tell when it needs to be de-iced by the sound of the drawer rubbing on the accumulated ice, which builds up between the bottom of the drawer and the bottom floor of the freezer compartment.Currently, my protocol is to: 1. Place a bath towel on the floor, tucked under the front of the refrigerator. 2. Open the drawer fully. 3. Place another towel over the freezer contents to keep them cold. 4. Wait about 5 minutes. 5. Reach in behind the drawer and pound on the ice with an open palm or a closed fist. The thicker ice at the back if the compartment will break up easiest. Swearing does not really speed up the De-Icing. 6. Hand brush the ice forward and out on the towel. 7. The ice toward the front might need a few more minutes to thaw and loosen.Total time to De-Ice is 10-15 minutes. My best guess is that the problem is a design flaw. Humid air enters the freezer every time the door is opened, collects as frost on the floor, and builds up as any refrigerator without a defrost system will have ice buildup. This guess only explains the Icing if the coolant tubing is under the floor and not under the back and sides. I am not happy with this issue, but this makes it just annoying.

Just a note to say that it is beyond me how a giant company like Samsung can sell such sub par products and allow themselves to disappoint millions of customers with their extremely horrible customer service. I cant even count how many bad reviews there are out there about numerous Samsung Refrigerator models, not to mention all the other product issues as well. We too purchased a terrible fridge model RF267 and have been dealing with the ice maker freeze up and water leaking among other things for years. Its appalling to me that Samsung can let this go on and on for years on end. If a company refuses to build a good product and refuses to be held accountable for their lack of knowledge in engineering and complete disregard for customer satisfaction, they should no longer be in business. Bye bye Samsung... The electronic world is far too competitive. Its only a matter of time before what you have dished out comes back to you.

Our only 5-year old Samsung fridge was pronounced too expensive to repair today. It hasnt worked well for a couple of years, no ice at first, and then inadequate cooling in both freezer and cooler. Ive been purchasing 10 lb bags of ice. But, it doesnt even keep it frozen well. Now this was a $2,200 retail product. Samsung has done nothing to help with this dud and Lowes, the retailer, is about as useless too. After conversations with both, we have decided to buy American and chose HH Gregg for our replacement. No.... its not a Samsung and there will never be another Samsung product in this house.

I purchased a Samsung slide in electric range almost 3 weeks ago. Within 10 days, the oven warming burner and clock all stopped working. We had a Samsung tech come out three days later. After testing the unit, he determined that both boards in the unit were bad and needed to be replaced. He left us telling us the parts would be ordered and he would be back about midweek to make the repairs. That evening we decided to use the cooktop on the stove since it was the only thing working. We were making hamburgers in an All clad pan. When we finished cooking I went to wipe the cooktop and that is when I noticed the crack. It ran from front to back on the cooktop. We contacted the tech again and he asked for pictures of the cooktop. We waited a few days and were surprised to hear that Samsung was not going to cover the cooktop. I was quite upset and contacted the company only to be given the runaround. I was told that they could would not authorize the repair even though I explained that we did not dry boil a pan on the cooktop as Samsung alleges we did. To top it all off, now Samsung wont authorize replacements of the boards for the oven. So now we have an 1800.00 range in our kitchen that displays the time set by the technician last Saturday. It hasnt moved since then!

I contacted Samsung Customer Service about an issue with staining on the inside of the glass on our two month old slide in range. I was told that the issue was not covered by the warranty. That it was normal for air, steam and possible grease particles to flow through the vent above the glass. I was told that it should accumulate on the inside of the glass. I was told that it could be cleaned by a service technician at my expense. I told Samsung if this was a continual problem that it was a design defect. I did not have this problem with either a GE or Frigidaire Range. I was assigned a ticket number. They called a service center in Myrtle Beach. The Service Center refused to come and service the stove even though I would be paying for a service call and the repair. Samsung reassigned this repair to another Service Center. They too refused to make the service call. Samsung has assigned this to a third Service Center. I have not heard from them as of today. If they also refuse to make the repair I have advised Samsung they need to find another approach to solving this problem.Updated on 06/26/2015This is an update on our Samsung range. First the good points: It is nice looking. It functions as intended, that is you can cook on the stove top, you can bake, roast or broil. The bad points: While the self cleaning feature works, it discolored and stained the glass in the oven door. Samsungs position is that is a cosmetic issue and not covered by the warranty. If I want to get rid of the stains I would need to get one of their service contractors to come out, take the door apart and clean the glass. Another option would be to replace the door. The door is poorly designed. It draws air through the grill on the front and exhausts the air through the back. I dont know of any other slide range that does that. We have own two others - a Frigidaire and a GE. Neither had this problem during cleaning.I contacted the service department at Samsung. They were pleasant and helpful in setting up an appointment to clean the glass at my expense. The problem was that the service contractors did not want to clean the glass. Their concern was possible breakage of the glass, which they would have to replace. They also claimed that they could not assure me that the glass would fit tightly once removed. Samsung went through four (4) service contractors. Not one of them wanted to clean the glass. Two of them were willing to replace the door at my expense. The cost of which made it more appealing to buy a new stove. It would not be a Samsung, believe me.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator model #RH22H8010SR July 2015. After only 2 weeks, we had a brief power outage. When power came back onthe refrigerator panel was flashing. It immediately started warming-up even though power was restored. By the time we saw the problem, the temperature in the refrigerator had already gotten into a warm state and the freezer was beginning to thaw. We could not press any of the settings to restore refrigeration. Only after totally removing power on our wall outlet was the refrigerator able to resume normal operation. The problem, of course, is--- what if we werent home to catch the problem? On telephoning Samsung Warranty Service with our concern, we were told that this is a FEATURE - NOT A FLAW. As of this writing we have no solution to our concern. Samsung seems to have chosen to ignore the problem; and now were stuck with the problem of having food spoil in the refrigerator while were away.

We bought a Samsung side by side 25.6 CU FT refrigerator on 5-6-10 (serial # JJ5Z4GBZ400545J; model # RS261MDBP). We didnt have it a full year when he had to call for a repair service man to come out because the unit wasnt cooling and all the lights on the panel were all lit up. Something in the panel went out and had to be ordered. Then the last week in December we were having a birthday party and we had a house full of guests and had to buy 6 coolers for the party food as well as all the food we already had and I was never so embarrassed in my life as all my guest had to keep going out in the cold to the coolers for their drinks because the unit wasnt cooling and the freezer wasnt freezing. So I called service department again on January 3rd. After two service appointments, it was determined the mother board had to be replaced. So on 1-17-12 it was replaced and as of 1-21-12 the unit is still not working. I have another service appointment for 1-23-12. I have lost $300.00 in groceries because of this and have to buy ice and use a cooler in January in the winter no less and I have to go to the store daily to buy dinner, which is very costly not to mention very time consuming. I have two elderly and 5 babies under the age of 5 and that is so inconveniencing them as well as the rest of the family members and very costly. This is the absolute worse experience we have ever had. I will never again purchase any Samsung products and will tell everyone about this horrible, embarrassing, very costly experience.

The refrigerator is new and has been working very well. We purchased this refrigerator on sale and it was delivered and set up. It has an ice maker that makes chipped and cubed ice, and makes more ice than you can use. It has filtered water in the door. It has a bottom freezer drawer that holds a bin for the ice cubes and a lot of frozen items. It has separate drawers in the interior of the refrigerator that are separately cooled. So you can keep your beer at a certain temperature while you watch the super bowl. It is a charcoal color and looks nice. The only thing I dont like is the lights of the control panel are blue behind a black panel and makes it hard to see when you are trying to order water or ice.

I, like everyone else, got the Samsung SE error out of nowhere, at around 18 months after purchase. I read all these reviews today and was about to go shopping to replace my SMH9187ST microwave. After power cycling it, the SE error would come back between two minutes and immediately. So far, after I did what I did, it hasnt happened in 8 hours. So here is what I did. Hopefully this will work for someone else. All you need is a Philips-head screwdriver and I didnt even have to remove the microwave from where it was mounted.Take out the top two screws. They fasten the top front vent grill to the microwave. To remove the vent grill, simply slide it to the left and pull out. Now when that is removed, you now have access to the one Phillips-head screw that holds on the dreaded keypad on the right of the microwave. Remove that screw. Then, slide the keypad assembly up and wiggle left and right to slide the fingers that hold it on to the microwave free from the slots they are in. Now once that is free, you can pull it out and see the few connectors that connect the keypad to the rest of the microwave. There is a white connector and a blue connector towards the bottom of the back of the keypad assembly. I simply reseated those connectors. Meaning, I unplugged them then plugged them back in making sure they were snug. The blue connector seemed to be a little loose when I went to reseat it. Im thinking maybe it had backed its way out somehow and was causing a bad connection, therefore giving me the SE error. But thats it. Line up the keypad assembly fingers back up with their proper slots and slide it down, therefore lining up the screw hole on the keypad assembly with the screw hole on the microwave and put that screw back in. Then slide the top front vent grill back on from left to right after lining up the little fingers with the slots they fit in. Then screw back in those two screws that hold the grill on. My beeping that was happening has now stopped and Ive microwaved a few things since. It took me no more than five minutes to figure out how to open it up, reseat the connectors, and put it back together. So far, problem seems solved!

4 years ago we bought a Samsung French door fridge from the local Best Buy store. This summer the fridge started making loud noises like a fan rubbing at speed. Turns out it was due to ice build up on the back wall of the fridge compartment. We moved the contents to the 20 year old Amana fridge in the garage and defrosted the Samsung for the weekend. less than a week later it was all iced up again. Since Best Buy requires all our personal information just to talk to someone about how much it will cost to have a tech come out and service the fridge, we contacted a local repair shop and they said its a known problem and that the Samsung repair doesnt work so they were reluctant to even schedule a tech.A week later the water dispenser button broke and while trying to fix that we noticed the 800 number for Samsung. I called them and a very pleasant fellow after reviewing the photos I sent issued a one time free repair service. #**. 24 hours later they call to say there are no available service providers within a hundred miles. They suggest I call Samsung appliance service who tell me since its not the ice maker they wont repair it and I should just call a repair service on my own dime.So I have a Samsung fridge that ices up and is causing food to spoil. Up to a quart of water collects under the Cool Select Pantry tray, that is also cracked. A broken water dispenser and an all-round piece of junk for a fridge backed up buy a we dont give a darn manufacturer. Wish we had read the reviews before we bought this because like so many others I will NEVER recommend a Samsung appliance. Bad design and worse service. The Samsung experience.

I try to be a responsible informed consumer before making a pricey purchase. I took the plunge and bought a Samsung refrigerator Model #RS261MDBP 05/2014. The first refrigerator delivered had a golf ball size dint on front right door. Immediately delivery company informed Samsung and the refrigerator was replaced approximately a week later. My grown children were home at time of delivery while I was out of town caring for sick family member. I came home a month afterwards and noticed three dints on right door as if someone placed and replaced their hands there to push refrigerator in place. I also noticed the ice maker wasnt making much ice. I read the troubleshooting section of manual and made adjustments of temperature and rearranged food in freezer. At this time condensation was accumulating in freezer and food in fridge was spoiling. Once again I adjusted temperatures to no avail. I contacted Samsung which a repair company came out and said that model came off assembly with the issues I was having due to some faulty parts. Little over six weeks later the same problems started all over again. Another company came and fixed a totally different problem. Two weeks later ice maker still wasnt producing ice properly, milk spoiled, and condensation started accumulating in freezer again. Samsung was informed of all the issues Ive had since receiving their product. Eventually after many phone calls, emails with proof of purchase and pictures they agreed to a partial reimbursement, deducting 10% per month after 1 year ownership. My very first new refrigerator and it was heartbreaking. I will not buy another Samsung appliance.

We bought the over-the-range oven, Samsung model# SMH9187ST in May 2010. In June 2011, the error code - SE - appeared on the display. Tried to unplug/restart. That worked for a couple of times. Called to Samsung customer service, that told me that nothing can be done, since the 1 year of warranty has expired, but we can pay out of pocket to get it serviced. Naturally, we refused, since it would make more financial sense to buy a new oven, than to service an old one that would get broken in another year or so. Samsung doesnt stand for its products. Its a fairly simple kitchen appliance to be broken after 1 year of use. Would be very reluctant to buy another Samsung product, again. For the past 2 years, its been used as the over-the-range night light.

Dont ever buy a Samsung fridge. We have had our French door refrigerator for about a year. It is a 2015 make and model. The freezer never shuts correctly, the ice maker sucks but today and recently over the past week it hasnt been cooling correctly even though the temp says it was okay. We unplugged it and restarted it and it gave us a more accurate reading of 50 instead of 34. After hours of trying to get it took work and numerous websites later we figured out that its not defrosting even though it is supposed to defrost itself. Come to find out this happens a lot with Samsung. We had to manually take off the back of the fridge and manually defrost it with a hairdryer. This is the WORST experience I have ever had. 4 Door Refrigerator: I bought Samsungs line of appliances when I redid my kitchen the summer of 2015. Ive had the ice maker repaired 2x since then and had to pay out of my pocket since the year warranty was up. Now for the second time the compressor went. The compressor has a 5 year warranty. The first time they put Freon because they couldnt find the leak. They came again and said it is not fixable that I should be getting a new refrigerator from Samsung. Went painstaking through the process to the point I was told they are locating my model. Once they do and its on the truck theyll call with the delivery date. Didnt hear anything for a week. Called back I and was told since the refrigerator is out of warranty they are not giving me a new one. I said the compressor is not fixable and has a 5 year warranty. I was told that doesnt matter because the refrigerator warranty is up and the compressor is not fixable. So why do you claim a 5 year warranty on compressor. If you cant fix or replace the compressor its my problem??? BTW the compressor is in a location they cannot reach, so they say. $3000 for a refrigerator that has had issues after 18 months. I asked to speak to a supervisor w/ 3 different calls. Finally got one, Ricky, and he swore hed get back to me in 3 hour. That was a week ago. The customer service is HORRIBLE. Theyve hung up on me 3x and never called back. And each call since 6/29/18 is an hour. You need to go through the whole story. After telling me I was getting a new refrigerator and waiting a week to find out, no, no refrigerator not one person from Samsung called to tell me they changed their minds. They say it has to break 3 Times before they replace it. Meanwhile I have no fridge. I was hoping the issue would be something simple and they could fix it. The service tech stated that the issue was with the compressor and would cost around $800-1200 in labor to repair. But, great! That part (and labor to repair) is still under warranty so we call up Samsung and spend a total of 12 hours over the course of 3 days on various phone calls, speaking to support reps. There are 3 authorized Samsung service centers in our area. The one that came out, refuses to perform the repair work because they are overbooked. The second refuses to come out because another repair provider has already looked at the unit. The third does not have someone that can perform closed system compressor work. So in the end, no one will fix our Refrigerator and Samsung just closed the ticket and left me a voicemail stating the ticket is closed. The end. This whole process feels extremely shady. I think they are trying to force us to just give up and go buy a new fridge. Dont buy Samsung products. If you have, good luck with warranty repairs.

I gave this product a 1 star rating because you don’t have the option of rating it any lower. My wife and I bought a Samsung French door refrigerator with freezer on bottom, and started having problems with it after only two months of owning it. It started filling up with water under the deli drawer, it would then freeze up into a block of ice making it difficult if not impossible to open the drawer and then start to spill water all over the floor. When we called Samsung we were basically told to call a repair person, and pay to have it looked at after we just paid $1700.00 for it and we had it less than 4 months. So much for standing behind their products. If you buy a Samsung product after reading this, and many other reviews just like this one you must have more money than brains. Samsung IS NOT the reputable company they want you to believe they are.

My freezer stopped freezing & I called a repair man to fix it (Samsung is a hard company for repair people to deal with and there are very limited people that work on them). Upon looking at it he told me that it was leaking Freon (which should never happen on this unit because its sealed). He charged me $90 and suggested that I call Samsung and explain to them to see if they would help me because it would be a lengthy repair and it could cost $400 and to top it off there may be no way to located the leak if its too small to patch. So, I called Samsung and after several calls & several supervisors I got them to set up an appointment with A&E Factory repairs - to which they didnt show up for that appointment. Samsung called them again & set an appointment for later the same day - to which they did not show up again. Again Samsung called them (this time I required a 3 way call) & set up another appointment (for another day). The A&E Factory repair guy came, pulled the freezer out & determined that it was in fact leaking. He ordered the parts & two weeks later the repair guy came. He said he could not work on the unit because I had laminate flooring & he requested that I sign a waiver. I refused & they left. I then called to reset another appointment for three weeks later (after my vacation) and was told that that date wasnt available yet, Id have to call back next week.Samsung has not helped me with my freezer issue and I am not happy at all with their product or the warranty repair service. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product in my life! Repair people dont want work with Samsung products. Their Customer Service sucks! They use A&E Factory repair (Their Customer Service sucks!).

I do so ... After talking with Samsung I was told they wont replace the unit even if it was a day old and that their policy was to repair the unit and if they were unable to do so only then would they consider replacement... No matter what we have done, it sounds like this fridge is an airplane taking off in our kitchen. It is embarrassing. We just changed the filter, again, and ran 3 gallons of water, and it still sounds horrible. I would not buy this again. This fridge is about a year old and has done this since day one. It is a French door, and other than this I love the appliance. It sounds all time of the day and night whenever the ice maker fills or you try to fill a glass of water. Called company, the last thing the rep told me was to move it away from the way. I told her if that was all she could come up with it was pitiful.

Please do your own research before buying a new refrigerator. I thought I did. I purchase a Samsung French door fridge in November of 2016. Little did I know that all Samsung French door fridges have a design defect, - ice maker freezes over, stops making ice, leaks, and, sometimes, as in my case, freezes shut so the tray cannot be gotten out. Takes an hour with a hand held steamer to thaw it. Thousands upon thousand of unlucky people have been dealing with this for the last fifteen years. My experience with Samsung customer service has been terrible. This is not what one would expect from a consumer appliance manufacturer.

DO NOT BUY Samsung French Door fridges! I have almost $3000 invested in a fridge that gave little, annoying problems at first, but as soon as the VERY SHORT warranty was up, the ice maker problems got worse and worse... Dripping water out of the ice maker flapper door, slushy ice cubes, ice dams in the ice maker itself, taking 1 minute or so to drop out 3-5 ice cubes, odd noises, not making ice at all... You name it.I tried to get a repairman, but no one returned my calls--then I discovered from several local sellers of the Samsung French door fridges, that there are so many problems with them, that repairmen dont want to repair them at all--knowing they will never solve their clients problems. The repairmen might take the call IF the unit is still on warranty, simply because they know theyll get more and more repair calls--all paid by Samsung. Once the warranty is gone, they dont want to deal with Samsung units.Consider this: I have a new millennium fridge and I make ice the way my Mom did in the 1950s--with ice cube trays! I think these units should be recalled--these are major expenses for a family--just like buying a car that is unsafe or poorly designed--or is an outright Lemon. Samsungs reply to me was a boilerplate letter with links pasted in to their WELL KNOWN repair bulletins... Each one I had already known about and tried! Then they linked to how to get a repair ticket started, but then repeated their warranty rules. Samsung customer satisfaction? Rate that at ZERO. If you know anyone considering one of these Samsung units, steer them away--- SHARE this post. PLEASE SHARE!

Samsung Electric Range - My complaint is when you use the self cleaning feature, it burns out something in the control panel and requires a repairman to replace the part. According to the repairman its the way its made and was told not to use this feature. How silly is that? Why buy a self cleaning stove and cant use it??? I tested it again while still under warranty and it did it again for a second time. I am calling Samsung for a full refund. Either way I will surely be running the self cleaning feature more times before the warranty runs out. They will be paying the repair people as much as it takes until warranty is out.

We purchased our Samsung RS261MDRS/XAA a Little less than 5 years ago. It has been a nightmare. The first week, we had to call the company because the refrigerator was not cooling properly. We had a technician come by to fix it. Perhaps it was a computer problem. The refrigerator would not cool properly, and the freezer would frost up. The very first years we had several people try to fix the freezing of the back panel problem. We have nursed it along, but less than 5 years of ownership, for the second or third time, we have had to move all of our food elsewhere to keep from losing it. The fan made a loud clatter, then nothing. Food kept getting warmer - who knows whats safe, so we had to throw it all away again! Samsung is over their head with refrigerators- cell phones, not so much. Buy at your own risk.

We bought our Samsung microwave model SMH8165W on Feb 23, 2011. I know this b/c I actually registered online w/ Samsung to get the extended 1 year + 3 month warranty. They have engineered their microwave to be built to last barely above a year. Let me say, it is beautifully designed and at an inexpensive price point. It was the best deal at the time. It had features that we NEVER used - like, any of the snack features. My husband still loves it.... BUT... within a year, one of the LED legs blew out in the first number. We ignored that. It wasnt big enough to bother, you could still read the number. Id already misplaced any paperwork. Now, on Feb 18, 2014 - almost 3 years to the day that we purchased our Samsung we have another interesting error. Our under microwave light that goes from On, to Night light, to Off.. it always stays ON. One of the lights blew out so we changed it thinking that maybe that was the problem. Nope, both bulbs now burn brightly. We are out of warranty. We wont be buying Samsung again. We actually need a light on at night to cook, being in a dark kitchen. So in the meantime Im buying a set of 3 stick on LED lights for $6 on Amazon. One LED light will last 1000 hours. Lets see if it outlasts the Samsung.

Its now April 2015 (were still within the one-year warranty period) and not only does it occasionally stop heating, but the turntable doesnt work. Called Samsung and they said were out of warranty! When they looked further into our account, they said they sometimes have computer issues and they no longer showed our original bill-of-sale information in their system, and said wed have to send in a copy of the original to them. We dont have that receipt any longer (Lowes) so were out of luck. I purchased a whole suite of Samsung products less than 2 years ago. The washing machine has a slow leak, the oven works ok, however the fridge is a nightmare. Dont expect the ice maker to last more than a year. Also the freezer gets pretty heavy when loaded and the handle is held on by a flimsy piece of plastic. Ours broke after a year and a half and we were told that it is way out of warranty. I kind of expected a handle to last more than 19 months. On top of that there is no easy fix. It isnt just replacing the handle. Its all of the mechanics in the door, they actually told me via chat that this is not something you can fix. It needs a service call from a licensed Samsung repair shop. So hundreds of dollars just to fix my door handle. Upon searching this issue there are hundreds of people with this problem. Samsung has great electronics but I will never buy another Samsung appliance, theres a reason they are generally cheaper than the rest.

We purchased a 3 door Samsung refrigerator Jan, 4 2016. The ice maker drips water through the ice dispenser and several times ice has lodged in the maker preventing new ice to drop and consequently build up ice. The repairman says this is a common complaint and we can either replace the ice maker ($500), shut the entire refrigerator down for 48 hours to let everything thaw or use a hair dryer to try to help the thawing process. He says it is an engineering flaw involving the air flow. Of course once you melt the ice it will happen again. I paid $3000 for this appliance and based on the amount of bad reviews I just now read regarding Samsung refrigerators, Samsung should for pay for this consistent problem to be repaired.

Purchased: August 2015. Samsung side by side with dual cooling, ice maker, high end. Best Buy is promoting these with a vengeance. Within two months of purchase, I called because compressor was making hard rattling noise. Yeah, they do that, said the technician. Called a second time about 6 weeks later because noise did not improve, only got worse. Yeah, they are loud arent they, said the technician, but it is cooling, right? Fast forward to October, 2016. This refrigerator can be described as: 1) Ready to launch, 2) A Mack Truck idling in my kitchen, 3) a flat head V-8 without oil - Granted, these are hyperbole, but the point is, this is a refrigerator guys, not a power tool. Not only exceptionally loud but the thing runs constantly. I know all new refrigerators are low watt, run a long time efficient just like my prior 18 year old Kenmore, but just about every morning after it has been sitting there with the door closed for 7 hours, it is cranking away, seemingly at its loudest. So I called Best Buy because I bought the 5 year warranty. No problem, we will send someone out right away. Guy shows up, Yeah, terribly noisy, well put in for a new compressor. Wow, that is great! Then there was this huge mess up between the Best Buy/Geek Squad hand-off to the people that were going to actually do the work. Two weeks later, technician shows up 10 days late. Thats the noise they make nowadays, yep. If your refrigerator was behind a cabinet, you would not hear all that noise, besides, todays units run at a higher speed. What a bunch of silly excuses. The guy left saying, It is what it is. I say, Samsung has a problem. The noise is not to be tolerated. At this point I am going to see if I can trade this thing out for something else. Noise=loss of energy. I would love to put an amp meter on this for a period of time and see what energy levels this thing is really consuming. After this review, I am going to upload a video of this rickety mess on YouTube, write a bunch of friend and see if it will go viral. Back in August of 2015, all I wanted was a refrigerator that does not dominate my space, it is that bad, it is very annoying, unnecessarily so. Other than that, it is a nice unit and everything else works just fine. In fact, sometimes, but not always, it does run quietly. It is capable of running quietly, they just have a problem with it being noisy most of the time.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator model RF32FMQDBSR/AA in June of 2014, and have since had to have the ice maker replaced 3 times for a total of $1000. It originally failed just a year after the frig was purchased, so was no longer under warranty, and that bill was slightly over $500. In August of this year it failed again, and that experience cost $400. At that time the repair company said they were no longer doing warranty work for Samsung due to the issues with the ice maker. Here it is 2 months later and the icemaker has failed again. This morning the tech came out and we were charged $100 for a service call, and it is still not making ice. SAMSUNG RS22HDHPNSR Counter-Depth Side by Side Refrigerator - Do yourself a favor, when researching what brand of refrigerator to buy, EXCLUDE Samsung from your list. After a year of purchasing this fridge from Best Buy, the unit stopped working. Fortunately my husband registered the fridge on Samsungs website and got an extended warranty of 3 addl months. After dealing with the terrible customer service and finally got the right repairman in, the repairman couldnt exactly tell us what was wrong with it. He said I think there is a leak so Ill repair that, but it could break down again today, tomorrow, next week, next month. That did not leave us with much comfort. So, here we are a few weeks later, and the fridge stopped cooling, AGAIN. Yet again, we are wasting our time explaining the situation to Samsung, then to have another service guy come out again which is scheduled a week from now because theyre all booked probably because they are trying to fix other lemons from Samsung. I dont know whats going to happen with this fridge, but my advice for those looking to buy a fridge or any appliances is DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG! Youll waste your precious time and money. Not worth it.

We have bought Samsung electronics for many years. In 2011 we bought all new kitchen appliances, top of the line Samsung. It is now 5 years later 2016 and we have a dishwasher that needs a new motor, the most expensive part approx $600.00. Now our fridge has leaked from the water dispenser and flooded our kitchen twice. It just starts pouring by itself. Of course this happened while we were not home and then again during the night. We thought the first time may have been a fluke but it was not. The electronics on the door stopped working. The replacement part at $400.00 did not work. We also have a leak inside from one of the vents in the back that leaks down the back and pools under the crispers. The tech at this point is not sure what is wrong with it. He now suspects the motherboard. The leak inside will require the whole inside back of the fridge being replaced. These repairs are going to make it not worth fixing. Of course Samsung says Im sorry there is only a 1 year warranty. They will do NOTHING. The appliances are barely 5 years old. How can they possibly not stand behind their products with problems such as this? We all know appliances last many many years with no problems. The tech we are using used to be a Samsung tech and reported how hard they make it to be a tech. The techs even complain about Samsung. I gave 1 star because you have to put something there but I feel less than zero. We will never buy Samsung appliances again. We also will question any further Samsung electronics. We spend so much money on Samsung from cell phones, tablets, tvs, etc. you would think they would do something to help us out. This is the thanks we get for being loyal customers for many years. We now have to buy a new fridge that will be around $2k if we are lucky. The dishwasher will have to be replaced. We have not had trouble out of the range or microwave yet, we hope we dont! What a way to have to spend your hard earned money. Again, we will never buy Samsung appliances again. Be careful because we have a Kenmore washing machine that is made by Samsung. Kenmore is not Kenmore any more. All you have to do is ask Sears, they will tell you. The appliance brands today are not what they say, you have to ask what company made the appliance. I have a beach property that I have recently bought a dishwasher, range, hot water heater and AC. The company I purchased the different items from say that there are a few manufacturers and then a name goes on the same thing with a few differences. Buyer beware!

Additionally, they offer terrible customer service. I spoke with three different departments (most out of the country) for over an hour in total, only to get no resolution. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT - BEWARE.
