Product Reviews:

We got the dishwasher, the microwave, the fridge, the stove, and the stove
We got the dishwasher, the microwave, the fridge, the stove, and the stove top from Viking. We got it all, so it all matches and we liked all the appliances. We checked all the warranties and we also took out an extended warranty on the refrigerator. Viking is making the refrigerators here in the United States, which may help prevent some of the breakdowns that we read online. The dealer was great and he knew the product very well. However, my wifes complaining because the refrigerator doesnt look like it makes enough ice. We had somebody come out there, but I would have to have someone else come out. When we had the Viking installed, the guys from Best Buy were supposed to install and make sure it was put in right. However, the cabinet wasnt quite done. When they came back out, they wouldnt mount the fridge in and they had no tools to do it either. They left the fridge there, and I had to mount it myself. But overall, our experience with Viking was fine. They called and they came out, and all the appliances work. I would recommend them.

Everybody talks about how good of a stove the Viking is. I just fell in love with the ranges. When I purchased it, I love the fact that it had the griddle in the middle. I never had a range like that. Plus the dealer was pleasant, straightforward and very helpful.

We have four different Viking appliances and we love their line. We also love the range. But with the refrigerator that we bought, Im not feeling super great about it. After less than two months of us installing it, the refrigerator died. There was a problem with the fan in the freezer portion that wasnt blowing air up the refrigerator, so everything was spoiled. We called the company where we purchased the Viking Refrigerator from and then they contacted Viking. Then they sent someone under the manufacturer warranty. However, that process took three weeks so we were out of a refrigerator for three weeks. The refrigerator is fixed now, although there is a popping noise that occurs occasionally. But even though the refrigerator is giving us some trouble, we still like it. We also like its size and the capability of monitoring the temperature.

Ive had my Viking range for four weeks and I absolutely love it. When I turn on the knobs, it’s very precise. It doesnt have any play in it, especially the oven, so when I set a temperature, I’m confident that that’s the temperature. I like how it’s raised up on the bottom so that I can get a Swiffer and clean up under there instead of just the dust building up. The range has been fabulous and I’m really happy with it. When I called the first time trying to get my Viking appliances registered, their reps were really helpful and told me where to look.

I was a little intimidated by this range coming from my flat top electric. But, its easy to use. Its accurate, the oven heat up quickly. My only qualms are that there is no audible tone when the oven has preheated and there is no clock and/or timer. Its a beautiful piece of equipment though.

Theres something in the Viking brand name and about having a high-end appliance in my kitchen for resale. Its a fine refrigerator and it keeps my food cold. However, I feel like I have a refrigerator that I could have bought from a Home Depot. I could have gotten LG or the GE. Six months after owning it, the drawer broke. Ive got older kids and were not abusive to our refrigerator, but actually, it worked out better. Its easier not having the flap on the door that broke, so we kept it that way. My ice maker broke about three months ago too.We have had the refrigerator for two years and Ive been dealing with repairs, which has been going on now for a couple of weeks because it takes a couple of weeks to get somebody out and he just came. Now, its taking three weeks to order parts. And so the name, Viking Refrigerators, sounds terrible. It looks prestigious but I dont feel that I have any type of better quality appliance than if I had gone with a different brand. It hasnt done anything exceptional. I bought it for the prestige that comes behind Viking, but as far as the refrigerator, and even the stove top, microwave, and oven that I got, I feel that its exactly what I would have gotten with any other brand.

I absolutely love the Viking range. Besides the look, I love the cooktop in it. I ordered extra racks and got all the rollout racks, which I love for baking multiple sheets of cookies at one time. I also love all the different ranges that you can put your oven on with the convection, which can be the low, the medium, or the high. It gives you so many options. All the burners come off so nicely and I havent had problems cleaning it. People should get Viking if they were thinking about it.

We previously had a Sub-Zero refrigerator and we love it. We had the long handles with the furniture door front on it. My wife wanted to have something that evoked that look. We knew that we did not want to go for Sub-Zero appliances again in this remodel in Florida so we went with the Viking refrigerator because there was a point price differential and it was attractive. Plus, the gas stove was decent, too. However, our problem with the refrigerator has been directed towards the cosmetics. The skin is just ridiculously thin and every door that we had delivered had dents in it. In the light, you can clearly see the dents and there are also obvious manufacturing issues such as the bottom freezer door. The top lift of it has the same three dings on the upper lift, through every door that weve seen in the same spot, so its clear that there is something on the assembly line that ticks these door fronts up and moves them along the line. My wife went online and spoke with somebody at the local Viking place down here. The authorized Viking dealer where we bought it and we dealt with has been wonderful and the refrigerator is working fine. But its just so aggravating to look at the refrigerator and see these little reflections off of dents and it really makes it look like not a quality product.

Viking 5 Burner Range- DOA. Delivered Good Friday and attempted to do the burn in Saturday evening. After many attempts to get the over to heat, we had to give up and use our toaster oven for Easter dinner. Viking has NO weekend support. On Monday I called and they determined it was DOA. We also had a new Sub Zero installed that same Friday. I decided to call them to see if they had support. They did. We returned the Viking and purchased a much nicer and substantially more expensive Wolf. I will never consider Viking.

I remodeled my house in 2009 and changed all my appliances to Viking Professional appliances. I was under the assumption that this is the best product available and moreover it is made in USA!!!! I came to find out this is the biggest and worst scam to rub people of their money with nothing but a heavy chunks of metal. I have had problem with my gas cook-top where I had it repaired 4 times. It kept clicking and the technician said the board was bad. Changing the board resolved it for a day and then he said the ignition parts are bad so he changed them. This started again so another company came and fixed it somehow and said the wiring was bad. After all this the cups around the burners changed color. Refrigerator does not dispense water and leaks in freezer and freezes all the time making it impossible to dispense ice and only way to get ice is to carve it because it is clumped together. Microwave oven does not heat as much as $150 microwave and has been corroding inside. Oven stopped working during Christmas time and took 6 months for them to figure out what was wrong with me being on the phone for hours with Viking executive offices. Vent unit has four settings which one has never worked. Viking does not take any responsibility for any of the problems you get. Standing behind their products is a news to them. I think their policy is sell, run and hide. I do have a Whirlpool Refrigerator that has spend most its life of 21 years in the garage with harsh temperatures but is still running like the first day. I would not buy and would discourage anyone that I care about to stay away from these products. I bought these items from Number 1 Appliance and they said these come with 10 years of warranty but each time I called the warranty company they told me that problem is not covered. I think they just warrant the heaviness of the product not its functionality.

This started almost a year ago. We purchased a Viking refrigerator and a freezer which were large, built-in units. Were about to complete our house and ready to have appliances delivered and installed and it started with the refrigerator and the freezer where they set up a delivery time. However, nobody showed up for the first delivery schedule that they had setup. We didnt get a phone call or anything. The home that we were constructing is about 60 miles or an hour away from us. I was out there all day long waiting for the refrigerator and freezer to show up but they didnt. So, I called the store, they apologized and said they didnt know what happened but the appliances will arrive on another day. So, I drove back down there, waited all day long, but nobody showed up on the second promised delivery date. They finally showed up during the third promised delivery date. They were supposed to send a four-man-crew because the units were very heavy, large built-in ones, and they were supposed to have somebody there to help install them and whatever else they needed to do, but as soon as the truck pulled up, there were only two people in the truck. I figured that was a red flag because that was not what they said they were gonna do. The two guys offloaded the freezer and they set the freezer into place. They were bringing in a refrigerator and I noticed that it was damaged at the bottom. I brought that to the attention of the delivery crew and he went, Oh, yeah! It is. So, they just set it in place and did not install it since it was damaged. The delivery driver said, Someone will be out here tomorrow to fix it and get it installed. The next day came and went, but I didnt hear a word. I know how schedules need to be taken care of, so I tried to be patient and I waited for a while. I then got tired of waiting. I called in and said, Your delivery guy said somebody would be here tomorrow. That was a week ago. When is somebody gonna come and fix this refrigerator? I started getting from the store that, Oh, well, the installation is not included and youre gonna have to pay. I said, Wait a minute. When you sold me this you said it was delivery and installation. Somebody came out to deliver it and said they wouldve installed it if it hadnt been damaged. We started to fight on this. I said, Well, when is somebody gonna come and fix it? I finally got somebody to acknowledge that and sent somebody out there.A guy came out and he worked on it all day. And then, he decided he cant fix or install it and told me that theyre just gonna have to replace it. Theyre gonna send me two brand new units. So, he left, and again, the waiting game. A few days went by, I started calling again and nobody seemed to know what was going on. It has been two months since they began trying to get the stuff delivered and installed. I recently got a text message from the guy at the store because I reached out to them again. I said, Somethings gotta happen here. Yall finish this. He texted me back and said, Someone will call either today or tomorrow to schedule an appointment. I have not heard from anybody since then.

I had a full Viking kitchen in my former home but I had to get a refrigerator in a hurry because I was moving. But when I got my Viking Refrigerator last January, I had a problem with it immediately. The freezer door did not close completely so I had the serviceman come out because it looked like it was out of alignment. He said we just have to pull it this way or that so he realigned it. I left town for two weeks, came back and my freezer was so frozen up we could not open it. On one side, there was a tiny gap and all that air was getting in there. When I got back, I immediately called the repairman. He comes only to Tuscaloosa once a week so I had to wait a week. The serviceman came back and said, Youre gonna have to take everything out of your refrigerator. Turn the refrigerator off, let it thaw like an old-fashioned refrigerator, and then find a place to put all of it, then bring it back... So it was a terrible experience. He told me that it was something that happens with that refrigerator and that was a very lame excuse. Everything in my house is Viking and this is just something I have to accept? Thats not why I went with it. There was no repair done. He simply said that I needed to make sure that when the door closes, it is not caught one way or the other so that the air could not get in.But other than that, buying the refrigerator through a Viking dealer has been a wonderful experience. They were very nice trying to accommodate me. Also, my overall experience with the repairman has been excellent. He was great, very polite, very kind and he fixes what the problem is, but I was not satisfied with the fact that I just have to accept it. As far as that overall experience with owning a Viking refrigerator, its not good because I have this concern. Its just not a comfortable feeling. I even asked, Would they do something to replace it? He said, It would really take something big, and this is not something big. I told him that the inconvenience that I had to completely empty my refrigerator, turn it off, let it thaw out, and then put everything back in the freezer is not what I expect out of Viking.

I’m an architect so I’m familiar with Viking Ranges through my profession. They had a promotion where they’re offering a free dishwasher with the range and that kind of sealed the deal. In terms of the quality of construction and the materials it weighs almost 400 pounds. My only issue was the control knob on the oven. Even though it’s a very sturdy unit the shaft that held that onto the actual control was made out of cast metal. I just thought personally it was a poor choice of materials but they are fixing it under warranty. It’s actually done through Viking and one of their local representatives. When I had the warranty issue I contacted Viking directly in Mississippi and they were responsive and they had the issue resolved in a day. They scheduled something within the day. I’m just currently waiting for the replacement part and then it’s going to be installed. I would recommend Viking Ranges. Its a high end appliance but I think it’s worth the investment.

3 years ago my stove top exploded (a sealed burner unit) in my nannys face; singed her hair and eyebrows. Luckily the pot of boiling water did not go up in the air (the gas tubes held one side of the stove top in place). After repeated calls to the dealer, distributor and CEOs office I was told that since the unit was 2 months out of warranty it was not their problem. Amazing. Now I have 2 30 ovens that are about 7 y/o and they beep all day and night. However, they dont make (or repair) the electronics panel parts anymore. So again out of luck and need to pay $6,000 for the ovens to be replaced.Today I get the call that my $8,000 wine cooler, about 5 years old, needs new evaporators and it is $3 to 4,000 to repair. What a horrible company and product line. You pay full price for high end products and you get junk with a company that does not stand by its appliances. Stay far far away from Viking. I will gladly find the picture of the stove top if anyone wants to see.

My brother has a Viking range in his house that he built 10 years ago, and they loved it. I was doing a kitchen remodel and looked at a few different options, and I liked the reputation of Viking and the look of their range compared to some of the competitors. Furthermore, their warranty was better than some of the competitors. Once I figured out that one of the burners on the top was meant for boiling water because it puts out a bigger flame, I have loved that feature.

My Viking stove is a nightmare. Firstly one of the gas hobs wouldn’t light properly. Although repaired by Viking it is still temperamental and flares up. But now my door won’t stay closed. The hinges are faulty! This stove is barely used as I travel much. They are less than 2 years old!!! Customer support was horrendous. Back orders for these parts means won’t deliver until sometime in November. Ordered on October 1. The cost is $568.79!!! Are they gold plated??? I did not chose these appliances for my new home. I will NEVER buy their products! This is only one repair company in my entire area that will service them. I wonder why???

We were going to be renting out our apartment and we thought that a Viking range would bring more value to our apartment to have a high-end appliance. Im not using the stove, but Im tremendously jealous of myself. We just sold the apartment actually and I installed it originally for a renter. So, I never got to even use it. But I love the stove, its beautiful. I love the burners and the heat output that they offer. I also like that theres self-cleaning on it. They have a special feature on that, where it wasnt going to burn out the stove when you use the self-cleaning because it was electric. I love Viking products. We also got a whole suite of Viking products, not just the stove and we like every single one. It was an excellent experience.

The Viking Range is really good and I like their burner power feature. However, we ended up getting one that we didnt even buy which is the appliance dealers fault. We bought the six-burner series with the griddle in the middle but ended up with an eight-burner that they installed. We were not here during the install, which is fine. I’m not upset about that. But trying to get the griddle and our money back has been a chore and we have been at it for two months and cant understand why it hasnt been done. The guy who owns the place is extremely knowledgeable and taught us a lot when we went to see him and he did a wonderful job on the install but the follow-up items after the fact have just been a nightmare for us. Viking was what the builder was providing as appliances, so we went ahead and bought the Viking fridge to match. The installers didn’t put the basket straight in the freezer so I had to figure that out. I had to go to one of the other houses and look at their fridge to see how to do it. The builder also gave me the wrong fridge. It’s the one with the water feature inside. They gave me an upgrade but we liked to have cold water coming out of our fridge, so that’s the only thing we miss. Other than that it’s been great. My sister had a Viking Refrigerator and I also chose them because my LG broke and I wanted a counter depth refrigerator, basically with the luxury of a high-end refrigerator, but not having a built-in. A built-in will run you $10,000 to $12,000, so I thought it was a good idea to go with the name Viking. It really fits my kitchen as well. The price was on point and I didn’t consider anything else because of it. The quality of the refrigerator is good, so far. It seems to keep my food a lot fresher than my LG did. However, the refrigerator door doesn’t stay all the way down in that lift. It also makes ice so fast that when you pull the door open, ice cubes fall out. It’s not a defect and it’s not such a bad thing, but its not perfect. Nevertheless, I like the handle of the refrigerator because it matches our Wolf oven. Im all about the look and I would tell others to definitely go for Viking Refrigerators. I would also tell them that I could actually go to Costco with the comfort of knowing my food is going to last.

I was forced to buy a new refrigerator because my other one died, and it was a choice between Viking, Sub-Zero and KitchenAid. I bought the Viking because of the $1,000 rebate they were having and I also felt like it had more room. I pack my freezer and refrigerators, so it was the design that I was attracted to. So far, its been great and its been a very even temperature. The LED lights are awesome since I can see everything in there. The lady at Bill Smith was very helpful in helping me make the decision. I wanted to make sure the refrigerator was installed right by their installer, so I called them and had them check on things. They were very good. I also got my rebate check finally. The only thing I wish my Viking has was another vegetable drawer because I eat a lot of fruits and vegetables, but it only has one vegetable drawer. It has two drawers for cold cuts and cheeses but it only has one crisper and I miss that. Also, after I had this installed, Ive asked several repair people about what they think of Viking. Viking needs to do a better job with them because theyve all said that Sub-Zero is so much better and I shouldve bought the Sub-Z as far as from their point of view.

When we moved into this house, it already had Viking appliances in it and nothing else would fit. The lady who lived in this house before told me not to get Viking products, but we had to go with Viking and we were stuck with them because of the way that the house was designed. With Viking per se, there has been no problem with the quality of their products and the way that weve been treated, but our experience with the distributor has not been good. Our experience with the whole process of getting the specific appliances that we needed and getting them installed has been anything but good. We got all the products that we purchased, except one. Although it has been a few months since we made our purchase, we are still waiting for one of the products to be shipped. We were told by Milcarskys Appliance Centre that we were going to get the exhaust fan that would be put above the range and this was approved by the Viking vice president for this region. But whenever we called Milcarskys, they were always telling us that they were still waiting for the mounting bracket and I don’t know how long that would take. So, our experience with the delivery was not good.It also took us an extreme amount of time to get our Viking refrigerator installed and it was a very difficult installation. Then, after the installation, we had to make a service call because the fan in the freezer was not working and there was a lot of water collecting. The people who installed the ref didn’t know how to put it in and if we had not made that service call, something would have happened to the freezer. Nevertheless, our Viking appliances have been working well so far, but theyre very new and it’s too soon to tell if they will last.

I went to Best Buy and they had Viking Ranges on display along with the other brands and I liked it. Its simple. There are no any electric screens which I didnt like. It was all manual like those round switches. Working with the team members was great and they explained everything. Everything we received was in good condition except there was an issue. The thing we put on the top of the burner to hold anything like a big bowl has small rubbers so they wont make noise when they touch the panel and one of them is missing that small rubber. In my opinion they need to lower the price a little bit so we can buy the whole stuff cause right now I only have an oven and the microwave. I was looking to buy a refrigerator and a separate oven plus a washer.

I’ve been a Viking fan for quite a while when I lived in Chicago. There’s a place up there that sold a lot of Viking products, and I used to see them on display. And I figured if I ever remodel, I’d look at them again, which I did. And I bought a whole Viking kitchen. I dealt with their distributor Elite Appliance, and they were really great. Brian, the sales guy, was really good, very detailed and he answered all my questions. I got a great price and we bought the refrigerator, the 36-inch stove and I ended up getting the Viking dishwasher for free. So, that was a plus. The refrigerator has been installed and we’ve been using it for about three weeks now. I like it a lot. I like that it’s got a lot of lighting in it when I open it up. And the separate drawers for different temperature controls seems to work well. It’s counter-depth and it’s got a lot of room in it. I also like the lower drawer freezer and the sliding shelf. And now, I got an icemaker that works again, so I like that too.

The quality of the refrigeration is great and I don’t have any complaints about it. Its lighting is really great. If I nudge the doors though, they dent easily but I’m happy with Viking’s quality.

My Viking range is the second one Ive had and I really like it. It holds temperature well. Its a beautiful piece of equipment. Its the best center point of my kitchen. The one thing I dont like is that if any sort of dirt or debris gets on the pilot or the starter, it can be a bit finicky. Otherwise, I love it. Somebody came to look at that pilot because I thought it might have been broken. The technician came and it needed to be cleaned. That was a good positive experience. I had to talk back and forth with a customer service person regarding the warranty because I didnt have a receipt. I just had the serial numbers. But they’ve sorted it out. It was easy.

Viking is a very reputable and a very fine company. I bought one of their ranges and its a fine product. But they had to replace it because there was a problem with the enamel and the oven breaking down. And they’ve been very good in standing by their warranty. When I submitted the claim, I got their phone number and I corresponded with a wonderful person who was in charge of that. She helped me and I had to send pictures to approve the issues. Then they had a person who came out and examined the range. After that, they exchanged it. The process took a week or so and it was very quick. Other than that, my Viking range is wonderful and it works very well. It has really nice features, too. Plus, it’s electric and I really enjoy it. My son is a chef but he would never cook on electric and he razes me about it all the time.

We had to replace our six-year-old Viking which was in our house when we bought it. Only another Viking would fit in the hole for the fridge. We got a new model and it has been great. The company that brought the fridge out did a fantastic job. We like the lights inside which are really bright. Its also a lot quieter than the old Viking we had. It also has sliding drawers on it that you’d touch and they just shut on their own. One time, we called to talk to somebody at Viking about the warranty and my wife said that went really well. Overall, the refrigerator we have is very nice and were really happy with it.

I bought a Viking Induction Range and dishwasher in June 2010 and the left side burners do not work now, May 2012. On August 12, the new parts needed to be replaced again. This piece of junk is putting Viking products mildly. I threw out the $3,000.00 dishwasher after the fire (in the dishwasher) and bought Miele. I’m thinking of doing the same for this one.

We’ve had a lot of Viking products in our time but never a refrigerator. So, I thought it was a good brand and we’d give it a shot. Also, I liked the way it looked. Ive had the refrigerator for a couple of months and Im very happy with its quality. I like the new LED lights and the French doors. The refrigerator is beautiful and it works well. Our previous refrigerator was a Sub-Zero, and Viking has more cubic feet of space than the Sub-Zero. The interactions with the Viking reps were fine. We bought it at Best Buy and had a helpful sales clerk there. We happen to hit a sale which also helped out. They provided delivery service and that was seamless. The guys carried the refrigerator in and placed it on the floor. They hooked up the icemaker, pushed it back in the hole, turned it on, and away they went.

The logistics company delivered my Viking refrigerator to my house and dropped it off in my living room. They pushed it into the wall because its one of those built-in wall units. They didnt connect it or they connected it but it wasnt right. There was this bottom metal piece that was supposed to be installed. I asked the guys if they were supposed to do that. They said they were not allowed to install those for liability purposes. I would have to get somebody to do it. It cost me almost $500 to have a Viking specialist come out and install it.When the specialists came out, they said, “Your refrigerator’s not even drilled to the wall. Because if its not, what can happen is if you open the door, the whole thing could tip over and could crush you.” The guy said they were gonna secure it, which they did. That was a pain, to begin with. The refrigerator side works fine. But we noticed that the icemaker was really slow from day one. We went back and forth with the Viking warranty people and Build.com where I purchased the refrigerator from. They sent somebody out to fix it four times. After the last time, it still wasnt working right. It never would produce over 20 ice cubes. Every time they would come out, they would tell me to give it 24 to 48 hours and I would have a big bin full of ice cubes. That never happened. We had family over and birthday parties. I had to go to 7-Eleven and grab a bag of ice and stick it in my freezer. After paying $15,000, that doesnt make me happy.Build.com replaced the ice maker and its still not working right. They apologized and they went ahead and ordered me a new refrigerator. But that refrigerator is not going to arrive until April 2022 so Im stuck with this thing. It’s beautiful but it doesn’t make ice and the motor is really loud. I could have bought a car for that price I paid for the refrigerator so I want it to work 100%. Viking has been around for many years and they have beautiful products. After I placed the order with them versus Wolf, I happened to go online and I did some research and there are actually lots of really bad reviews. Viking is the least recommended. I have many regrets. I hate my refrigerator. We had issues with our other Viking products too like our stove and dishwasher.

The Viking refrigerator size fits really well into the already pre-sized area for a refrigerator in the house I purchased and the range was packaged with it. And Ive cooked on the ranges before and they were good so I decided to buy one. But when I got it, it was broken and it took them about a month to repair it. The problem was the two of the valves werent working. So if I had the gas on on the stove, it was constantly leaking gas so we had to keep the gas off all the time.Vikings preferred vendor that they hooked up with me was just a nightmare. So everything just took a long time. Like the parts took a long time to come in so they took a long time to come. But they were able to have it fixed last week. It took them a week to come out and look at it, and then it took them almost two weeks for the part to come in. And then it took them another week to come and actually fix it.But The customer service woman I spoke to was really nice. Shed provided me with tracking update and would call the company. I think its just a matter of them getting a more reliable, certified Viking repair specialist because when you have to rely on one place, locally that doesnt seem to make your priority, that can get a little frustrating. But other than that, Viking themselves seemed to be pretty good in terms of their customer service, like being responsive to me. But if you spend almost $6,000 on a stove, it should probably come to your house working. And then your customer service is only as good as the people you have working with you, and partnering with you and I didnt think it was wonderful.

We purchased a Viking Range and Microwave 5 years ago and we believed it would be a wise choice but it was anything but. The quality was poor. The oven door never closed right and the oven light stayed on all the time. And after many complaints we finally had to have service to change the hinges that never worked right. The bill for that was $600 and the electric oven takes way too long to heat up and the thermostat had to be changed twice. The microwave just failed and that is costing $400 to fix. I will never recommend Viking or the dealer Pacific Sales in So Cal to anyone, dont waste your money on Viking. They are not the company of the past and the quality and durability is no longer there, as for Pacific Sales after they take your money they are no longer interested in satisfying their customers needs. Frankly they suck at service and stand behind what they sell...

My parents owned a Sub-Zero which only makes built-in refrigerators and not stand-up ones. Ive heard of Viking in the past and theyre my number two choice. However, I received my refrigerator damaged. A lot of parts under it were bent so its not leveled and I have to put a piece of wood behind the fridge to level it. Also, the bottom grille doesnt line up with the fridge. Theres also frost build-up all around the inside of the fridge where the cool air comes out of the little vents. Theres supposed to be a gap in between the shelves but theyre touching. And the door slams hard. It doesnt feel like a normal fridge. Its hard and its like plastic on plastic when it closes. The freezer door is not even with the refrigerator doors like its pushed in on one side. When I close it, it’s supposed to be flush with the doors but only one side is pushed down and one side is pulling out. The Viking team was friendly but they took a while to return calls. I spoke to a representative and she said she was going to check on my fridge. I had to call her the next week and they were supposed to call me back two days later and this last week but I still havent heard from them. They said they were going to send out somebody to repair the fridge but the company guy said its irreparable. Overall, Vikings built-ins are very good but their stand-ups are not.

When we were trying to buy our house, we saw it came together with Viking products. A lot of people will buy it, so they installed the Viking products for us and they have high quality, but theyre not as good as we thought. The inside space of the refrigerator is okay. It has a special space for the drinks and that’s a good thing, but the refrigerator started having problems after half a year the house was built. The part started peeling off and we havent touched it a lot. After the person came here to fix the upper door and replace it for me, the lower door also had the same problems. I called them to two months ago and they havent sent anyone to fix it. The salesperson is the contact person if I need to contact another department to have the appointment with me to fix the refrigerator and do the next step, but the department never contacted me again and I can’t contact them directly to let them do it quickly. Also, I need to call them several times if I have problems with a Viking product.

I heard of Viking Refrigerators through my friends. Viking has favorable feedback about the appliances and their quality overall. I also like the competitive pricing bundles that they had put a place for this past year-end. They had an aggressive buy two, get one appliance free. And then also, they had a 5% discount rebate built in. It outpaced most of their competitors and at that point of seeing that, it became a no-brainer to buy a Viking. We have an 84 inch by 42 side by side and it works fantastic. The only thing it doesnt have is the water dispenser, but thats not a problem for me. It has been working great so far. Also, my experience with the Viking dealer was great. They did really well and inspected everything out for us and made sure the appliances were gonna fit in terms of measurement, design, and all those basic necessities that I was looking for from a product across the board. We put in our entire kitchen with the Viking products and they did great. I would recommend Viking to others.

I wanted all my appliances to match. So I went and got the Viking refrigerator. My stove is really good but I see the refrigerator and I dont see the same quality. Im not very satisfied for the price I paid. The refrigerator has some issues. I have spoken to customer service and the year was going by and I thought I need to call them again. The refrigerator freezes food in the refrigerator area. But even at the bottom of the refrigerator, Im starting to see some sort of accumulation. The maintenance people are not very familiarized because the rep told me that down where Im from, there are not many people that own Viking. But the lady that does also had the same issues of food freezing. The handles are very wobbly. I constantly have to tighten them up. It doesnt have a feature in the ice machine where it stops after it feels that it has made enough ice. For such an expensive and quality brand, those features would have been looked into. They had to also repair, just within purchase, the deli meat door because it was off. It was crooked. Right away, they sent the deli door. But the guy hasnt even called me. I replaced the range I had and bought two Viking Ranges. It was attractive and it was exactly what I was looking for. Their reps were very nice and accommodating and Im completely satisfied with the quality of their product. However, Ive had a lot of things going on so I havent used them that much. I may have used the oven once and the burners, half a dozen times on one of them and I havent even used the other one at all, which is in my lower level kitchen. Also, there was no timer built into the stove or the range at all so I didn’t have anywhere to give timed cooking. I didn’t think about it when I got it and I guess its part of the professional type atmosphere or professional type product they were trying to portray. But the features I like the best right now is the knobs, the way the knobs feel. That was one of the reasons I didn’t like my previous range. Moreover, the wrap on the stove for shipping was so difficult to remove. The delivery team wanted to get it in and get out of there and deliver. I couldn’t let them bring it in and set it where it belongs until I had all that plastic off. I had to pay the two drivers to help me get the stuff off. I could have never done it myself. And even when it was over with I still felt like I could see remnants of it in the corners and where the metal meets the metal. And then inside the range, they used white tape on the bar of the racks on either side so that they won’t move under shipment. I was sweating on the floor trying to get that tape off of there. Maybe they can use a zip tie or something that you could just cut with the scissors. I sell expensive merchandise and one of the things that is required of us is that we contact the customers within a couple of days to see how they are enjoying their new product. It has been a month since I got the stuff so I was wondering if they were ever gonna contact me. I did go right online and registered them right away on their website because I felt that was important that they have that registration. So, I was surprised that I never got anything, even a thank you letter in the mail, not that I needed it. But to me, that was something I thought a company like that would do for when youre buying a high line product like that. Many companies send thank you notes when you do business with them for the smallest things much less a major purchase like this. I wasn’t expecting they send me a dozen roses, but I was expecting something. Nonetheless, its a good product and Im very happy with it. That wouldn’t make me not buy another one.

Beware of purchasing Viking Appliances!!! We purchased a Viking Range, double oven and beverage from Macon Appliance Store in Franklin, NC and spent almost $18,000 only to find out that Viking only carries a 2 year warranty. We had Blossom Gas come out to inspect our gas and they discovered there was a leak coming from the gas range. We contacted Macon Appliance and a repairman contacted us and set up a service call. It was discovered that the gas range had a gas leak and parts were ordered. On 10/31/19 the serviceman returned with the parts to repair our gas range. It was at this time that he informed us that we owed $670.00 because the 2 yr warranty had expired. Needless to say I was livid as what company sells such expensive appliances with a 2 yr warranty. The appliances were delivered in Aug 2017 but our home was not completed until the later part of September. I have also read other reviews from customers that had the same problem with a gas leak so this is obviously a problem with Viking gas ranges yet your company wants to gauge customers that are paying high prices for these appliances with a warranty that is worth nothing. Even Lowe’s, Home Depot and other companies offer a 5 yr warranty and much better service. I will NEVER purchase another Viking appliance again and will ensure that I let people know about the terrible quality of service that Viking provides. It is a shame that a company like yours takes people for their money. I contacted your customer service to report this only to speak with a representative that was rude. I asked her to have a supervisor contact me and I never received a callback. I am also contacting the BBB to report this matter!

We like the quality and the features of the Viking range. We worked with a local dealer to purchase one and everything kind of worked as advertised. Weve had our range since November and the quality is very good. I like the way the burners work. However, it is difficult to adjust and calibrate the oven. It seems like the temperature is off on the oven and there’s no information in the instruction book on how to do that. Also, I didnt know that they were gonna change the range. I should have done some more homework as a consumer. The oven is not very deep, too, which is a disappointment. Still, these are just a couple of minor negatives. In general, we’re very pleased with our Viking range.

Viking has been around a long time. We were looking for a range for our house, but at the time when we were remodeling our kitchen, I knew Viking was a good product, but they didn’t make the 32-inch range and we needed that size. We do a lot of cooking and Viking has a good reputation. Other folks that I know have them and really like them. The look and the reputation of the product made us choose them. I really like its quality, the way it feels and the burners. All the burners are the same size and they heat really fast. The grates on top come off, all 6 pieces of them, which makes it really easy to clean. We got the one with the ceramic top that seals, and we had installed about two months ago. Were really happy with the Viking range and I’m looking forward to getting a Viking dishwasher next.

I purchased all top-of-the-line Viking appliances for my recently renovated kitchen. Unfortunately, my 48 refrigerator with ice/water dispenser in the door has never functioned. The ice dispenser freezes-up and will not rotate to dispense the ice. Viking and Hadco (the local distributor) sent Mr. Appliance to get it working on six separate occasions, but they could not determine why it freezes-up. Now Hadco and Viking have been discussing the issue for the past 4 months. I simply want it removed from my kitchen and my money returned! I do not recommend a Viking refrigerator especially when the manufacturer and distributor cannot simply replace my $10k refrigerator lemon with one that works!

We purchased a Series 3, 30, gas, self-cleaning range. I installed it about 3 months ago. The first thing I noticed was that the way it was attached to the pallet, caused the unit to slide forward on the pallet. The plant installed an oak rail in the top center of the pallet. The front end of this rail dented the stainless steel front skirt. Its not a bad bend but you will notice that it is no longer straight. Recently after cooking many dinners on it, you cant get a really low flame for simmering on any burner. I never had this problem with my low-end GE.I also have noticed that on occasion the back small burner will not light, and must be tried several times. The most disturbing issue is when any top burner is on, low or medium, and you open the oven door, the flame on the burner want to go out, or does go out then re-lights itself. Not good! Also after cooking on the top stove area, any drops of water that might splash out of a pot, cannot be allowed to dry, next to a hot burner, or a permanent awful looking mark will mar the cooktop. It is not removable. All of these problems should not be attached to a $5000 range.

We like the Viking range because of its style and how it fits with our cabinets. It was ultimately the better fit for what we were trying to get. I compared it to the Thermador and the Thermador had a smaller range for the same price. With the Viking, I can control the stove top of the gas burners, which is nice. It also fits into our kitchen wall. I use it every day and so far it has performed very well. However, weve had a couple of service issues with it. The first was the door did not close all the way. It was not aligned properly, so we couldnt get full closure. The other thing was the steel would pop when we turned the oven on. Weve already had service calls to come out for the range within the first 12 months. They were able to resolve the door issue, which apparently was a shipping thing. We still have the metal popping but we learned how to fix that. Also, customer service has been good. I had a lot of issues with the dealer, and by the time I got to Viking, the gentleman I spoke with was very compassionate and had a lot of empathy. He cheered me up and did everything he could to help in our situation.

I was looking for a larger stove, a 36 or a 48, and I wanted one with 6 burners. I looked around and I bought a Viking range. We love it. It would be hard to have a cheaper range now and to go to something without all the features that this one has. The burners are very hot and the oven is huge. The only thing is it would have been nice if it was a self-cleaning oven because I’m lazy.

My experience with all three of my appliances was less than satisfactory. I had numerous service calls to an appliance repair company for all three at various times. I would never recommend Viking to anyone I know. In my previous home, I had a Sub-Zero refrigerator and a Wolf stove. I never had a problem with either one in the many years I lived there. We built a new home and bought a Viking refrigerator floor model through a dealer. I had a built-in before, and I was happy with it, so I went with that particular refrigerator. I like the built-in because it’s not deep and things don’t get lost in the back of the refrigerator. I love my Viking refrigerator, but I’ve had eight or nine service calls on it and the people who came and serviced it have been excellent. When the refrigerator arrived, there was an issue with water coming out of the bottom of the door, and they replaced that, and then it wouldn’t make ice or water, so they changed out a harness, the water pump and the icemaker. It makes ice, but after they put in the new icemaker, the lever stops when the ice fills up, so a part was ordered and the people are coming this week to replace that. The dealer has been absolutely awesome on service and responsiveness and their staff has come out and dealt with every single problem I’ve had. However, I bought an eight-burner gas range through Pacific Kitchen & Home and I would not purchase through them again. When the range was delivered, the door needed adjustment and it’s been a nightmare to get somebody to come out through Pacific Kitchen to service it. I had to reach out to Viking directly to get any kind of service and they’re coming out this week as well. Hopefully, once everything is all in good working order, it’ll be well worth it. I also have a Viking dishwasher, which is fabulous and Im very happy with it.

We were looking for a counter depth refrigerator, and the Viking refrigerator was one of the few ones that we liked. It works really well and we like its design. It gets the food really cold. I like the lighting there and the construction of it. However, the dealer we bought it from was horrible. I bought from the dealer Viking appliances including a refrigerator, range, dishwasher, and a microwave. When they first brought the refrigerator over, they didn’t have a truck that has a ramp to take it off from the truck. What they ended up doing was they had to open up the fridge in the truck, had to lay it on its side, and slid it on the floor. They had three people struggling, carrying it into the house without its box. I was to the point of just livid. Fortunately, they didn’t scratch anything because I was standing there right next to them making sure nothing happened. I could have picked a better dealer despite them giving me free installation.I have a printout of the fridge so that we know where to put the electrical outlet as well as the water outlet. But in the case of the range, there wasn’t really a cutout. All we knew was that it has a 30-inch width so when it arrived, it couldn’t fit into the wall because the gas outlet in the wall was right in the middle. We remodeled the entire kitchen and nobody explained it to me when I was in the showroom that we could have reconfigured everything to make sure that the appliances actually fit there. Also in the dishwasher, there was a piece at the bottom that keeps falling off. Its kinda weird and I’m not sure what to do with it. However, the appliances were great, overall. I’m very satisfied with the Viking brand. It looks great. I have people come by and everybody’s awed by the overall look of it. It’s just beautiful.

This pertains to Viking microwave RDMOR200SST over the range unit. Purchased 12/12/13, installed 12/26/13, broken 1/18/14, lasted less than a month. Being in the HVAC field, Im very familiar with many brands, reputable and not so reputable. I recently read a tech article about Vikings new owner (CEO) and it seemed very promising. Boy was I wrong and he has a quality control/customer service nightmare on his hands. I have dealt with many companies in the field and this is without a doubt the worst. $650.00 microwave and the micro switches I found in this unit I would not have used in my daughters $5 toy. Youre probably saying, Why did you fix this yourself, you voided the warranty. Have you ever seen some of these morons they call appliance repairmen? Believe me, I have and I wouldnt trust 95% of them. Problem - wife shut the door and the micro circuit tripped, reset, breaker held but the micro was dead. Dissembled (only takes 2 minutes) and noticed 4 micro switches mounted on a cheap plastic rack, one of the switches the plunger was stuck in the down position. Upon inspection, the contact of the switch was welded together. These switches are rated at 16 amps, there is absolutely no way this switch holds 16 amps, no way. This is a fire hazard and a design defect. I removed all four switches and replaced with Ormon micro switches and NO THEY ARE NOT MADE IN CHINA , they are made in Japan. If I would have had warranty service tech perform this, they would have used the same cheap factory switches and the problem would have been reoccurring and caused more damage to the unit. For all of you do-it-yourselfers out there, change all of these switches out with quality ones. This will solve the majority of your issues with this unit.

My mom is a chef and she said Viking is the best stove made. I like my range a lot. It’s a dual-energy. So, I’ve got a gas stovetop and an electric oven that has a convection. All the convection settings are really awesome. It takes too long to heat up. But once it gets hot, it’s great. The rows are nicer and much more even heating. It’s a very high-quality product. Im happy. The Wolf range was a little bit more money, but from the visit in the store, I didnt see that much difference in quality with the Viking range. One of the things that sold me on the gas stove top is that it has 55,000 Btu burners, and then, it’s got a little tiny one for simmering. That is awesome because the other products that I’ve owned only had one high-power burner, so I couldnt boil water and fry meat at the same time. But I do not have that problem anymore with Viking.

We were doing a remodel and we wanted something a little higher end. We bought our Viking refrigerator at Best Buy as we had a significant number of credit card reward points and we went with the Best Buy cards. We bought it before our remodel and we didn’t take it out of the storage until around early spring in 2018. We had significant problems with it over the summer and we had the technician out at least seven times. It was still under warranty at the time and what was happening was the refrigerator side of it would never be at the set point. Oftentimes, it was at 45. The tech was out to try different things and replace the electrical panels. By the last time, they ended up replacing the entire electrical panel and it has been okay since then. It still is not perfect though, and it seems to be hit or miss. If the set point is supposed to be at 38, it struggles to get a 38 on the refrigerator side. I like the refrigerator, nevertheless. It is prominent and it sits really well in our kitchen. At the same time, we were forced with the contractor company because they are the ones who handle the warranty. As long as it is under warranty, we have to go with them. We would wait for a significant period of time for the parts to come in and it got to be a really long, laborious process. The guy with the refrigeration company would complain that there were changes going on at Viking, where the warehouses were, and it was hard to get parts. It was frustrating when we had already invested on a Viking refrigerator, stove, dishwasher and range. I couldn’t just call Viking and say, “Look, replace this thing,” because we had to go with a particular company to do the repair. This issue started in May or early June and we were still dealing with it by the end of July. On one hand, there are things about the Viking refrigerator that I really like. I like the way it looks in my kitchen, and the freezer is working fine. On the other hand, the refrigerator and the whole repair and problem-solving process seem really cumbersome. Why did it take three months to resolve? I am dissatisfied with that.

Ive always had Viking in every appliance in my house. But when my refrigerator stopped all the way out, the technicians kept coming out to fix it. They came, looked at the problem and then they had to go back to get a part. I had to wait for another two to four weeks for it to come down to put in. And then another couple of weeks later, the refrigerator would quit again. So then, they had to come back two weeks later. They were down to replacing everything. Despite that, the technicians were great and I had no problems once they came out. It was just not getting the part that dragged it out because they only service my part of the town every two weeks. But when my husband stepped in, Viking finally gave me a new refrigerator. I was very disappointed that it took me probably half a year to get this issue resolved. It was my mistake and looking back, I probably wouldnt do Viking again even though they finally gave me a new refrigerator. I understand that they have to try to get it fixed but they should have done that instead of waiting for my husband to interfere and that he had to contact one of the bigwigs of Viking.

10 years ago we did a remodel of our kitchen and game room after saving up for eight years to pay for it. I convinced my wife to purchase the Viking refrigerator over the Sub Zero which she really wanted. She had purchased a Viking range at our old house which she loved and we moved it to our new home. After it and the new refrigerator were installed I felt that it was perfect and I was proud of the fact that we were able to afford such a nice kitchen. Well soon after we had problems that everyone here has had and more. I have been holding back from blasting Viking on the net for a while. Tonight we came home to see water stains in our game room ceiling, coming from the kitchen upstairs right under the fridge. I followed the water line through the drop ceiling up under the fridge. All good, no water or leaks from the line or connection. Then I notice that the drip pan is MELTED completely and is stuck to the floor like TAR. So if you are reading this and you had over heating/thermostat and coolant leaks and ice buildups and gasket replacements and hinge recalls and numerous service calls. YOU better check your drip pan. Did I mention that I work for a moving company and bash Vikings name everywhere I can. Imagine moving furniture for 8 years to pay for this.

I recently purchased what I thought was a nice used fridge (Viking Designer Series Fridge DDFF136DSS0) from someone only to find out that it most likely has a bad motherboard. It doesnt cool at all and the display on the front shows nothing but a blue screen. The buttons dont do anything except for light up. After researching, apparently these motherboard controls have been failing a lot with these models and Viking charges $1,000 for a new control board. That is insane for something that is failing regularly. For that price and the repair, I might have to just go and buy a new fridge from a different company. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of care that Viking has presented in the matter. This is a major problem with Vikings product and they do not care. I commented that I could buy a new fridge for the price of the part and the Viking agent laughed and said, I dont know why you think that, people say that all the time but you cant buy one from us at that price. We purchased a newly built home and had all Viking appliances installed. The range puts out good heat but the oven is definitely malfunctioning. It cycles every minute no matter what temperature you set it to so if I am baking something that takes 2 hours, Ill hear the igniter click and the flame come on over 100 times. I dont know if its because the flame is reigniting so often but the smell of gas is so strong. Also, the door gets so hot you cant even touch it without wearing an oven mitt. All of these make me afraid to use the oven. I called Viking and theyve sent out the same repair person twice who told me that the cycling every minute is normal and the door is supposed to get hot because heat radiates. I understand heat radiates but it shouldnt get so hot you can burn yourself. What happens if children accidentally get close to the oven? I also dont understand why for a supposed high end oven, the temperature cant be maintained for more than a minute when the flame goes out before it reignites again. And since its cycling every minute no matter what temp you set it to and regardless if you leave the oven door closed for 2 hours (yes, we tested it with the door closed for 2 hours to make sure we werent losing heat from opening the door), it doesnt seem like the cycling is temperature related at all. When I call Viking, they tell me this is NOT normal and a repair person needs to come out to make adjustments. Theyve sent the same repair person twice who insists this is normal. I called again today and asked for a different company. The same person has been scheduled to come out tomorrow, wholl likely tell me again that this is what I have to get use to with this oven. This oven is a hazard. Youll either be afraid to use it or youll end up burning yourself or inhaling carbon monoxide fumes. I had to turn the oven off yesterday because I got a terrible headache from the fumes. I am writing this to advise everyone to not buy a Viking. Also, now it is documented that these issues existed in the event something bad happens.

This one now is working great but the door grinds and doesn’t open and close properly.I’ve contacted the store and they sent somebody. Then I contacted Viking Refrigerators because it’s not an installation problem, it’s a problem with the refrigerator. And they sent somebody out to the house a week and a half ago and I have to hear back from them. They said they had to order parts. The product was installed on January 3rd. I contacted them on the fifth and the problem has yet to be rectified. They could have been aware that it is a warranty issue and they should have fixed it immediately. Viking Refrigerators needs to respond better. It was an issue trying to get in touch with somebody but when I finally got somebody, they were very good and they were trying to work with me. I have some problems with the Viking Refrigerator that we got. The unit functions well, but I have problems in the way it is laid out. It seemed very stripped down. The crisper drawer is not divided, it is just one big drawer that is supposed to hold both fruit and vegetables. That was surprising. Fruits and vegetables require different temperatures and different humidities. There wasn’t any delicatessen or cheese drawer too. The fridge is also very high so that the taller shelves were not accessible. I’ve got a bit of an older model from them. It looks more clean and it’s not as fancy-looking. Its just simple, and I want it to work well and not look pretty. Performance-wise, I like how much heat it can put out and the consistency of that. It’s a lot more powerful. I like the high heat of it and also its ability to keep it below simmer. You can get it really low. Most ranges can’t hold such a low flame. The range has been great and I’m getting adjusted to cooking with it. One of the things that I think was a bizarre design of the range is when you have the oven on and it gets to a temperature, it cycles on and off. And it seems like it cycles rather frequently. It’ll shut off and then you’ll hear, “Tick, tick, tick,” and then it will all fire back up. I thought there was a problem with it, so I called Viking just to understand. From what I understood, the newer models have this glow bar, and it’s a little bit different. I think they fixed that but changed the mechanism. The Viking customer service were helpful and was okay. I had some problems at first when I got the range. When I was trying to get it troubleshot and have someone come out and take a look at something that there was a problem, it took them almost two weeks before they were able to get someone to me. That was just a little bit long, especially considering I just got the product. For people who likes to cook and can afford a range like Viking, I think it would be a good range for them to get.
