How cold can a freezer get?

We have a chest freezer and I'm trying to figure out how cold it can get but in vain. The manual doesn't say anything, Google is useless and even Frigidaire itself couldn't tell me. Does anyone know where I could confirm? If it's relevant, the model is a Frigidaire FFCS0722AW.


In case it's relevant, the context is that have an upcoming trip to Paris and with lots of news about the city being infested with bedbugs, I've been researching ways to kill any that might hitch a ride back. It's possible to sterilize your clothes by freezing them but the critters will only die below 0°F. I understanding that the freezer will normally get there and further on the coldest setting, but I kind of need to be sure and I wouldn't even know where to get a thermometer that could report a temperature that low.

Answer:

You can get a freezer thermometer almost anywhere that measures well below zero. Or get a cheap wired indoor - outdoor thermometer and put the end in the freezer and the display outside of it. This is what I do to make sure the freezer is working correctly. I have a chest freezer and keep it at about 10 below.
