Dishwasher Error Codes

CODE: IE
PROBLEM: Not filling
FIX: Check that the water supply cut-off valve for the dishwasher is fully open. Check the water inlet supply hose for a kink. Unplug the dishwasher, shut off the water supply and disconnect the inlet supply hose from the inlet water valve. Check the filter screen on the inlet water valve for a clog-replace the valve if the filter screen is clogged.

CODE: OE
PROBLEM: Not draining
FIX: Check the sink drain or garbage disposal for a clog and clear any clogs you find. If the sink or garbage disposal drains okay, pull off the dishwasher drain hose from the sink or garbage disposal connection and check the end of the drain hose for a grease clog. Clear grease clogs from the drain hose. If the dishwasher uses an air gap, check the air gap for clogs and clear any clogs.

CODE: AE or E1
PROBLEM: Water leak detected
FIX: Abnormally high circulation pump speed caused by low water level in the tub can cause the AE or E1 error codes. Water that leaks into the base of the dishwasher cabinet and trips the flood switch can also cause the AE or EI code. Unplug the dishwasher and shut off the water supply. Check the dishwasher cabinet base for water. If water leaked into the base, find and repair the cause of the leak. Water could leak from the water fill line, water inlet guide, drain pump, drain hose, door seals or sump.

CODE: FE
PROBLEM: Water overflow detected
FIX: The drain pump automatically runs when the FE code is displayed. A leaking water inlet valve or a stuck relay on the electronic control board can allow water to fill the dishwasher constantly. To check for a leaky water inlet valve, unplug the dishwasher and see if the tub continues to fill with water. If it does, shut off the water supply and replace the water inlet valve because the valve is letting water to flow into the dishwasher constantly.

CODE: tE
PROBLEM: Thermistor (temperature sensor) failure
FIX: Unplug the dishwasher and disconnect the wires from the thermistor on the heater. Measure the resistance through the thermistor using a multimeter. The meter should measure 11,320 ohms at 75 degrees (room temperature). Replace the heater assembly (which includes the thermistor) if the meter measures less than 1,000 ohms or more than 20,000 ohms.

CODE: LE
PROBLEM: Locked up circulation pump motor
FIX: Unplug the dishwasher and check for an obstruction that's preventing the pump impeller from spinning. Remove any debris or foreign objects from the sump. If the pump impeller is clear, check the wiring connections on the pump and reconnect any loose wires. If the wiring connections are okay, unplug the wire harness from the motor and check the resistance through pins 1-2, pins 2-3 and pins 1-3 of the motor using a multimeter. The meter should measure between 8 and 20 ohms (resistance of the motor windings).

CODE: HE
PROBLEM: Heater failure
FIX: This code appears when water isn't heating or when the thermistor (temperature sensor) detects that water temperature is higher than 194 degrees. If water inside the dishwasher tub is extremely hot, measure water temperature using an accurate thermometer. If the thermometer measures water temperature near 190 degrees, then you'll likely need to replace the electronic control board because a stuck heater relay on the control board is causing the heating element to stay on constantly.

CODE: nE
PROBLEM: Diverter motor failure
FIX: Unplug the dishwasher and check the wire harness connections on the diverter motor and diverter position switch. Reconnect any loose wires. If the wiring connections are okay, unplug the diverter motor wires and check resistance through the motor using a multimeter. The meter should measure around 4,000 ohms of resistance. Replace the diverter motor if the meter measure infinite resistance.

Dryer Error Codes

CODE: FO (Filter Out)
PROBLEM: Filter not installed properly
FIX: Check that the lint filter is inserted properly.

CODE: PS
PROBLEM: Improper voltage with the power cord
FIX: Be sure the white and red wire connections bare not reversed on the dryer’s terminal block. Remove power and rewire.

CODE: CL (Child Lock Display)
PROBLEM: An indication that the Child Lock feature is active.
FIX: Press and hold the key labeled CHILD LOCK for 3 seconds to disable the Child Lock feature.

CODE: tE1
PROBLEM: Thermistor failure
FIX: The control detects the temperature sensor is defective. Remove power from the dryer and measure resistance through the thermistor. It should measure about 10,000 ohms. If the thermistor is defective then replace it.

CODE: tE2
PROBLEM: Thermistor failure
FIX: The control detects the temperature sensor is defective. Remove power from the dryer and measure resistance through the thermistor. It should measure about 10,000 ohms. If the thermistor is defective then replace it.

CODE: tE3
PROBLEM: Error Condition = Thermistor failure
FIX: The control detects the temperature sensor is defective. Remove power from the dryer and measure resistance through the thermistor. It should measure about 10,000 ohms. If the thermistor is defective then replace it.

CODE: E13
PROBLEM: The drain hose is kinked, crushed, clogged, or the water in the sump is frozen.
FIX: Check that the drain hose is not kinked, twisted, or clogged with water at the end of the hose.

CODE: nP
PROBLEM: There is a problem with the electrical wiring in the home and no current is being detected at the heater.
FIX: Check power

CODE: dE
PROBLEM: Door switch error
FIX: Check the operation of the door switch. Do this by using the diagnostic test mode. If the door switch is defective then it needs to be replaced.

CODE: HS
PROBLEM: Dryer has detected an error with the humidity sensor. (The HS error code will cause the dryer to run for 2 1/2 hours, which may seem as though the dryer is not drying.)
FIX: Clean the sensors on the inside of the dryer that are located below the lint filter. Allow the sensors to fully dry before attempting another cycle.

CODE: Add Water
PROBLEM: There is a water supply error
FIX: Before using a steam cycle the steam feeder must be filled with water up to the MAX indicator lines. Check the steam feeder to be sure that it is full of water and that the drawer is completely closed.

Television Error Codes

CODE: 137
PROBLEM:
Error code 137 is one of the most common error codes LG TV owners see pop up. The code shows up when you try to launch the YouTube app and forces the app to quit on your TV. Error code 137 is also due to a poor or unstable internet connection.
• Corrupted file or data
• YouTube bug or glitch
• Outdated application
• Unstable internet connection
FIX:
Unplug your TV from the power source and then disconnect the power supply cable from the TV. Wait for about 15 minutes and re-connect the power supply and then plug your TV back in. Power on your TV and router. Check if the error code appears or not. If it’s still there, the next step is to update the YouTube App.

CODE: 324
PROBLEM:
This is another common error code that pops up on your LG TV. Luckily, the fixes are straightforward. This error code indicates that your TV cannot connect to the App Store. This may be due to a poor internet connection, an outdated firmware, or a problematic application.
• Poor or unstable internet connection
• Outdated firmware
• The app is not working properly
FIX:
One of the best fixes for the issue is to check your internet connection. Poor internet access prevents the App Store from working on your TV. If the App Store fails to load content, check if your TV is now connected to the internet. Also, try disconnecting your TV from the Wi-Fi network and re-connect. If your TV has an Ethernet port, switch to it.

CODE: 202
PROBLEM:
Error code 202 pops up when the connection between the router and the TV fails to establish. As a result, you cannot access the internet or any online service on your TV. The core reason for the issue is that you now have an unstable internet connection.
• Unstable internet access
• TV servers may be offline
FIX:
The first solution is to check your internet connection. Try disconnecting your TV from the router and reconnecting. If that won’t help, wait for one hour and try again. Also, you can try checking your internet speed and then check if the code shows up or not.
Another solution is to restart your router or modem. A restart may fix many software-related issues, and it may do the trick here. Turn off your router, unplug it from the power supply, and then replug and restart your device.

CODE: 105
PROBLEM:
Error code 105 indicates that you now have a network or connectivity problem. It occurs when you try to use an online service like watching YouTube, or Netflix, or accessing the Content Store. There are several reasons behind this error code 105 you may not know.
• Unstable internet connectivity
• Poor connection due to a busy network
• Technical glitches or bugs
• Incorrect date and time
• Outdated software update
FIX:
Checking the internet connection is always the number one solution to the error code 105 issue. To do it, disconnect your TV from a local network and reconnect. If that won’t help, try restarting your router or modem.
Another fix is to power cycle your TV. To do it, disconnect your TV from the power source, then wait for 10-15 minutes, and then plug it back in. Now, turn on your TV and check if you see the error code or not.

CODE: 106
PROBLEM:
Error code 106 is a common issue experienced by many LG TV users. It indicates that you now have a poor internet connection. In other ways, it means your TV has no internet access. There are many culprits for causing the error code 106 issue on an LG TV. We have rounded up the most common causes below.
• DNS Problem
• TV Settings may be incorrect
• Busy network
• TV’s Mac address is not whitelisted
FIX:
Try Power Cycling. This is one of the easiest ways to fix the error code 106 issue on an LG TV. That’s basically the process where you disconnect your TV from the power source and plug it back in. A power cycle helps drain out all the power from the TV, thus getting your TV back to work normally.

Purchased the largest 110v LG Window Air Conditioner at Home Depot on January 9th 2013. On May 26th the Unit started freezing up. Contacted LG, it took 16 days to get a technician out to diagnose, then 4 days to wait for a new Condenser. 2 weeks later the unit froze up again. Called LG whom sent out the same Technician the next day and he stated it was low on refrigerant. This is a sealed unit that was ice cold on the day of the first repair, but he stated it was not fully charged, so he charged it. Three weeks later the unit froze again. LG stated they would send the same Technician the next day for a third attempt, and that if it could not be resolved they would then replace the unit. I was told the appointment time would be between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. but after having left work early my wife waited there all day for nothing. The technician never called or showed. At 6:05 p.m. I called LG who stated not to worry he would be there some time that night. At 8:15 he showed up. I was there for this visit. I am a 30 year GM Technician and hold both ASE, Robin Aire, IMACA and GM A/C certifications. I watched the technician hook a gauge to the unit and the readings with the unit on was 60psi on the low side. They do not use a high side. The needle never waivered, yet the evaporator was frozen as were the lines leading toward the compressor. He claimed that the evaporator must be clogged. I replied it had been professionally cleaned the first time it froze up in May even though it was only 5 months old. He was adamant the unit could not breathe, so we took the unit outside and with a flashlight removed the evaporator and flushed the unit with a hose and found no debris, no mold, no dirt, nothing restricting the cooling fins. The water was clear and went straight through front to back and top to bottom. This stumped and confused the technician who claimed he did not know what was wrong. We reinstalled the unit and turned it back on and watched it start to freeze again the exact same way. I stated that where the freeze point ended had to be the point of an internal restriction debris, etc. and he stated that it must be a free floating internal restriction but had no idea how to fix it. So he wrote a note saying the system was fully charged and cleaned and he found nothing wrong. I was left with an A/C unit that still does not cool and freezes up. I called LG today, they had previously told me that after three repair attempts they would replace the unit. However today, they stated they would send a different technician who could give a different opinion, then they would consider replacing the unit. I was extremely upset and was beside myself with anger. First I was lied to about the time of the appointment, then I was lied to about third time repair attempt and they would replace my unit. Now I am expected to lose more time at work to be there for another repair attempt when they have failed in the last three to make a repair. There must be another way to resolve this short of buying another unit. I have a three year replacement plan with Home Depot but it does not start until after the year is up and that is still 4 months away, and in the heat of Florida I will not last 4 months with out A/C. This is unacceptable and should not be the way a company treats their customers. I will never buy another LG product and will pursue this until I get some type of resolution, I am just not sure what or when that may be.

We purchased an LG washer and dryer set. The dryer works well, but the washer is a disaster. Our towels have an unpleasant musty smell just 1 day after they are washed. The rubber sleeve between the front panel and the drum is literally designed to trap moisture and grow mold. What a horrible design! We miss our old top loader Amana. That washer worked wonders on spots and dirtier clothes like playground pants with grass on the knees. Our front loader LG, on the other hand, is a piece of cr@p. We are waiting for this thing to develop any problem so we can replace it with a Bosch. Dryers works well. Washer doesnt get the clothes clean. It uses less water than our old washer but what good are water savings when the clothes dont get clean? We will check Amazon customer reviews to see which models to AVOID like the plague. Before buying this LG washer we were focused on efficiency but with LG efficiency came at the cost of less than clean clothes and smelly towels. Reliability is important but effectiveness is a very close second. A reliable, highly efficient washer is junk if it doesnt get the job done. To reiterate, stay away from LG clothes washers. The design of the drum, pump, and the drum seal is defective. It traps moisture and promotes mold growth. Also, the pump/filter assembly on these washers holds about 12 OZ of water at all times. We forgot to drain the filter assembly before going on a 3-week vacation. When we came back, the whole downstairs of the house smelled like sewer. The stench was coming from our wonderful LG washing machine. I had to flush it with 2 gallons of bleach! Stay away from LG washers! They are toxic!

I purchased an LG refrigerator about 3 months ago. The first week I had it the door In door kept popping open. Weeks later the freezer would build up ice and I had difficulty opening and closing the freezer. I contacted LG and they sent a repairman who did not fix my problem. LG then sent a repairman to fix the freezer. The day he left the freezer stopped opening. I am now unable to access my freezer to get food for my kids. I’ve had to go grocery shopping just to have food. I have called customer service several times and been promised that I would be contacted to schedule a service call. To date no one has called me despite 4 calls to LG. I even spoke to a supervisor on Tuesday who promised me I would be contacted and still no phone call.

I love the styles LG has to offer and they have plenty of storage room. I also love the different color options provided with the LG brand. There is nothing I dislike about the LG brand. LG is a very reliable brand and if asked I would refer people to buy them a LG refrigerator. I will not stand a potential buyer wrong.

Purchased an LG (LDF7561ST) dishwasher about a month ago. Had a really bad toxic smell while it was running. Had to turn it off & open the windows. The toxic smell was actually burning my eyes & making me nauseous. I was also concerned about IT BEING a fire hazard. I ran it again the next day (with the windows opened), the smell was there again, but this time I ran the full cycle. The smell became more intense. The dishes didnt dry well and the next day after that, the inside of the dishwasher was still wet.I was thankful I purchase the dishwasher from PC Richards because after I refused to get it fix, they took it away and said I could purchase a different washer. Liking all the features the LG has & thinking the dishwasher had a defect, ON MAY 2, I asked for the same LG dishwasher AND ENDED UP WITH THE SAME TOXIC SMELL AND DISHES WERE STILL SLIGHTLY WET. On May 5, I called PC Richards & complained again. This dishwasher is nothing but a headache! I will never purchase a LG dishwasher again!!!!

I purchased a LG 6.3 cu. ft. slide-In ELECTRIC Range with ProBake Convectio
I purchased a LG 6.3 cu. ft. slide-In ELECTRIC Range with ProBake Convection and EasyClean from Costco in 2018 for around $1300. I dont use the range a lot (maybe 8-10 times a month). During the warranty period, 2 burners were not heating properly and the oven was always between 50-75 degrees under where is was set. Under the warranty the 2 burners were replaced, but the technician was not able to figure out why the oven was not heating properly. We tried adjusting the temperate settings using the ovens setting feature with no real results. The month following the end extended warranty, I used the self-cleaning function on the oven which blew the thermal fuse. This was a $300 repair for parts and service call. Last night, the oven just quit working 10 minutes in to cooking a $170 prime rib roast for Christmas dinner after the temperature was turned up to 475 degrees. I might guess it is the thermal fuse again. Yes, the oven is now 4 years old, but it has never functioned properly since the day I purchased it, and it has gotten very little use. I would expect so much more from an $1800 appliance!

Purchased my $4k LG French door 26 cu ft refrig/freezer in Nov 2015. In June 2017 the refrig/freezer failed and not operable, had to throw all my food away. Repaired with new compressor. On December 26, 2018, the exact same problem occurred! Threw my food away again! the earliest a tech can come is on January 9, 2019! This appointment was after I complained about the first Jan 16th appointment given! Need another new compressor. Prior to this LG, I had another LG and its compressor that failed twice in the 3 years I owned it. Why did I buy another LG? Thought, What the odds of this happening again with a brand new LG. Well now I know. It must be a defective design that occurs repeatedly to a Lot of LG owners! Never will buy another LG!

I’ve owned this stove for approx 1 1/2 years and in this time my roommate and I have nearly burned the house down TWICE. The knobs are SO easy to accidentally bump and turn on. The first time I had a bag on top of the stove and luckily noticed before it started flaming, but my roommate started an actual full on fire last night with a basket of laundry. I’ve since taken the knobs off, but have read other reviews of people who have done the same, but that bumping the stems actually turns the burners on easier than if the knobs were in place???‍♀️ Ordered some child proofing so we’ll see how that works. No issues with cooking, but it’s NOT worth the risk!

We purchased a LG 25 cu ft refrigerator on 11-21-13. Not a small expense, $1400.00, on sale, too. Model LFC25776ST. It lasted less than 2 years. We called the company, and got NO more than an answering machine, leave your message, and well call you back. NOTHING happened. There was NO response from the company. I will NEVER do business with LG again, and am still angry at the lack of concern or even response from the company. LG has shown exactly NO corporate responsibility.

We had four continuing issues with the LG fridge cooling problems. When I purchased my LG refrigerator 3 years ago, the salesman promised me that this refrigerator will last 15 years. In addition, I purchased the 3-years warranty on top of the 2-years warranty that LG provided, so the cooling warranty should be covered by LG for 5 years. Each time I phone the customer service, they werent really helpful, all they do was transferring me to an extension number. Also, the customer service was very rude and unprofessional, I try to ask for a solution for my fridge problem and each time they hung up on me. Finally, I would not purchase any LG products ever again. LG you lost my trust.

Then he comes back and tells me that he can’t get in contact with the technician but here is his number you can call them. After calling for the last 4 days still nobody to repair freezer! But oh does it get better because this morning now the refrigerator part is not cold. So again I contact customer support and the guy tells me he can’t get in contact with the technician. We have tried all week long what makes you think you could contact them today. Then customer support told me that he is going to change repair technicians and the earliest they could come out to repair would be 2 weeks. I said I can’t go 2 weeks without a refrigerator, could they reimburse me with another refrigerator. The answer is no we can’t do that till the technician says it’s un-repairable. So okay geniuses what do you do for 2 weeks with medication that needs to stay cold and not being able to afford eating out every day for 2 weeks. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT AND ONE MORE TIME DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM LG BECAUSE YOU CANNOT GET IT REPAIRED!!

Our LG Tromm DLE2516W dryer would not start the second time in 6 months. LG is the only source of repairs. They will not sell parts to anyone but their own approved shops. All bookings are through them. I have a 2007 dryer. LG quoted $95 for a technician to look at it. They designated Priority Appliances to do the work. Priority said they would charge $125.00 to visit and do only 15 minutes work for that price. LG would not honour their quoted price. This means a minimum of $125.00 + parts + installation time + taxes -- the price of a replacement machine. Nobody else can buy parts in Canada. This is a racket to overcharge customers as much as possible.

I have a LG washer and dryer, both are four years old. I’ve been having intermittent issues with the washer not spinning/throwing a code. Three months ago I called LG to ask who the authorized repair rep is for my area (I do not live in a remote area). Two separate phone calls and 45 minutes out of my life and still they could not tell me who to call in my area. I finally emailed again about a month later and was provided two possibilities, one of them does not service my area. By the time I got a repair, the washer was completely seized and cannot be repaired. The washer went to the dump today. An email to the VP of service in Canada four days ago has not even been acknowledged. Absolutely deplorable customer care and more aggravation than it’s worth.

We purchased LG washer approximately two years ago thinking it was a great machine! Good name, great size, fairly good price... It turned out to be the worst purchase ever made. The machine is constantly off balance (even though it says true balance). A load that says 54 minutes takes over 2 hours and thats with many visits to the laundry room to fix it! Clothing is not clean, which after 2 hours there should be some sign that laundry is clean! I would NEVER recommend this washer to anyone! I am beyond frustrated with this appliance???

LG WT1101CW Washing Machine. Dont Buy LG. Warranty Not Honored. I purchased an LG top loading washing machine a year and a half ago after my twenty-year-old Maytag machine made of steel with a solid lid that finally needed to be replaced. Within months of buying this machine, the plastic around the hinges of the lid began to crack and started to crumble at the hinges. The plastic is not holding up to the opening and closing of the lid on my unit. I had the lid and hinges replaced four times for the same problem. Once the plastic around the hinges starts to crack and disintegrate, the lid cannot close, and you cannot use the machine at all. Customer service assured me after the fourth repair for the same problem that the unit would be replaced as defective. The plastic on the new lid after 5 months is starting to crack again, so I called and found out that my case was directed to the Defective Return Team and they rejected the claim. They told me it has been over a year since the purchase and it is now out of warranty. I have been repairing this brand new machine within a few months of purchasing it. Home Depot says its out of their hands, its up to LG but LG has not adhered to their own policy that after three visits to repair the same problem, it is considered unrepairable and is considered to be a defective machine and will be replaced. They will now send a technician out for a fifth time for the same repair. Its not fixing the problem! The lid keeps cracking around the hinges on both sides. Poor quality, poor workmanship, cheap materials and they will not replace the machine, and now that it is out of warranty, they may not replace the lid when it cracks again and I will have a machine I cannot use that I paid almost $700 for. After experiencing this, I will never buy another LG product again.

Many years ago I purchased an LG washer and dryer. I was so happy with their quality that when I was ready to purchase new appliances for my kitchen I didnt consider any other brand. I saved my money for over a year and was proud to purchase matching fridge, stove, and dishwasher in black stainless steel almost 2 years ago. My new appliances were wonderful until a month ago when the finish started flaking off and before you say it is my fault, no I do not use abrasive cleaners on the finish. The stove started first, where the handle meets the door and now the fridge is doing the same. I am now embarrassed to have these in my kitchen. I emailed my complaint to LG and the response was very complacent, they really didnt seem to care. I will never buy LG anything, ever.

Bought an LG fridge a year and a half ago for over $2000.00. Suppose to be top of the line. It started making a terrible sound and the cooling started to fail. By morning the fridge completely shut down. Called HhGregg who stated, Your warranty expired. What do you expect us to do? Found out no one works on LG fridges in my area. Got a hold of HHGreggs service center who said they would be out. They have come out 5 times in the last 10 weeks and left each time knowing the fridge is not fixed. They refuse to replace the compressor which has a 10 yr. warranty. Not sure where to go next. Would never recommend HHGregg or LG to anyone.

We love our fridge with its fancy second door that opens but keeps the whole fridge cold. The second door was a big factor for us purchasing as well as being a nice fridge despite being side by side since French Door fridges were low on our list. We had an issue with our water line that took a few months to resolve. Support scheduled service without telling us the day then saying that would contact us. Overall happy with our fridge, especially now that we can FINALLY drink the water cold from the fridge since it was finally fixed and it tastes like the rest of the house.

Both controls and rack have a 5 year warranty but I have to call some appliance-fix-it place to get them to look at it. I bet I get no repair, no parts no-nothing and a lot of wasted time for this. But that repair failed and after 9 weeks without a fridge I am now FURIOUS! I get back from a weekend away and find that now the freezer has failed and my floor is flooded and all my food ruined. The repair guy is on his way. But last time it took two months for the board to arrive. If it is anything else that needs replacing then that is another two months... absolutely PATHETIC PRODUCT AND PATHETIC BACK UP. As you can tell... My nightmare is about a $2000 refrigerator and about $10,000 worth of aggravation. I have a refrigerator that is eight months old and it started having a problem. We called LG and they sent somebody out here. It turns out, the compressor died and then, they fixed it. Roughly after a month, it started to buzz loud enough that if we were trying to watch TV or talking on the phone, we couldnt hear it too well. Plus, if we walked anywhere in the house, we would hear the refrigerator buzz. It was fairly loud. We lived with the buzzing for about two weeks and its a little bit like the Chinese water torture because it was very annoying but we didnt know what to do. When I called, the rep told me that if a repair guy comes to the house and he doesnt hear the buzzing, I was gonna get charged. But its not making the noise all the time. It goes to a certain cycle. The whole refrigerator resonated with the vibration of it and gets a vibration out of the fridge from the motor. So now, were in a quandary. I told the rep I didnt want to spend another $100 to have somebody come here and when hes here, its working okay and then we have to pay him. And then, it goes back to being bad again. I kept making phone calls and I figured they were in the Philippines and the reps dont speak English very well. It was very frustrating. I call and say, I have a blue horse, and they say, What color of the horse? They listen but they dont really hear me.After about 10 calls of getting nowhere with them, I got a woman over there who transferred me back to an escalation department in the United States. Also, I happened to record the sound on my phone that day and the rep heard it. She said it was the compressor. She authorized a repair person to come to the house without charging us. The repair guy came with the supervisor and they fixed that. Then, we thought we were fine but the day after the repairmen came, the refrigerator started not working well. The freezer was like 10 to 20 degrees. 24 hours is the period of time I have to give the fridge to adjust but everything is high now. Also, in the period of time they came back, I had it set for minus 6 and 33 but I get to read 0 and 40. Even at the coldest setting, it was barely acceptable within the normal range. The fluctuations were bad. I called the repair person on Friday and told them the fix wasnt working right. He told me it was just my thermometers. But I have two thermometers and theyre calibrated. I called them Monday morning and we still had the problem. I gave it the ice cream test and my ice cream melted. So I left the repairman a message but he never got back to me. Finally, I talked to Famous Tate and the regional manager instigated the callback to LG to come service the fridge. We then had an appointment on Thursday. But then, that time, it started getting cold again. I even called the repair person that Thursday and told him about it. But anyway, he came and took it apart. He said there was a leak in the evaporator. When he did the compressor, he put a dye in and when he came back, he could see that that was the problem. Hes coming back Tuesday to do the evaporator replacement. Meanwhile, the freezer is somewhat normal but the fridge part reads 40 degrees. I have it set very cold. The repairman is telling me the evaporator is bad but it doesnt jive. Also, that buzz is back but not as bad. If I push in on the doors, it stops. I can hear the motor going but that zzzz! that Im hearing is vibrating. Now, we have a refrigerator that doesnt work right and one that is making noise. Thats where were at and were very frustrated. Also, dealing with people overseas was horrific and not fun. They have something called Smart Diagnosis where I can go to the product, hold my phone up and it goes, Beep and they can get a readout of everything going on in my refrigerator, the temperature and how many times I opened the door. I wanted to get that printout from them so I could show the repair guy but I was told they were not allowed to do that. On one hand, Im unhappy about my experience with LG but they did come here to try to fix it so thats good. But this is an expensive refrigerator. If I could pay money, even if I took a hit on the refrigerator and get rid of it, I would. The product is pretty unreliable and the scary thing about this is because weve had the fluctuation in temperatures, we could eat the food and could get very sick.

Ive had my washer for approximately 2 years. In the past Ive stuck with well respected brands such as Kenmore. I was hesitant to try a new brand, but my daughter has an LG TV that shes been pleased with, so I thought Id give LG a try. Ive raised three children and now have a grandchild, my husbands a mechanic and we farm as well, so Ive put washers through a lot over the 30+ years of married life. Ive never had a washing machine rust before this one. The compartment that is specifically designed for bleach is all rusted out, so I now wait until the washer is full and just dispense the bleach directly into the load. The back of lid that you cant see is also rusted. I take good care of my appliances by wiping them down and keeping dust off of them on a regular basis, so this isnt operators fault, this is poor materials and manufacturing. This also does not have the center agitator like the old designs and it just doesnt get my clothes as clean as with the agitator bar. I did read about the mildew smell that can occur in these new HE washers and Ive avoided this by leaving the lid and soap dispensers open after each load to air things out. Ive also been using the tub clean cycle with the special Tide cleaner about once every two months. Needless to say, I will not be buying anymore LG products. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

I purchased an LG Washing machine with the pedestal back in April of 2010 for $1,309.95 from P.C. Richards. After 3-years and 4-months, my machine stopped spinning and had a loud squeaking noise. I paid about $400.00 in repairs at that time for a power cord and the computer control panel which completely burnt out. After the P.C. Richards Repair Man left, I washed exactly 2-loads of clothes before the washer stopped spinning and I had to call the Repair man back from P.C. Richards to find out what the problem was. Well after the 4th visit from P.C. Richards Repair Men, I was told that a Ball Barren was missing and it would be a very expensive job to do. With that being said, I went for a second opinion and was told that was indeed the problem which would cost me $500.00 to repair. You know when people purchase expensive appliances like washers and dryers from Manufacturers like LG, they expect the product to last at least 10 to 15 years. I am deeply disgusted and appalled. What can I do to seek punitive damages? I am a working mother of 3 and am at a hardship to make ends meet and cannot afford a new washer right now which I was told by the repairman I should purchase a new machine. In 2013 we purchased the set of LG washer/dryer from a well-known appliance outlet chain. Earlier this year (2015) we noticed the washing machine started leaking. In fact, water was leaking out from the bottom of the machine and collecting in the drain pan. We immediately contacted the store we purchased it from who informed us that our warranty had expired, and they would have to charge us x-amount of dollars to troubleshoot. Instead we did some extensive research on the LG machines, only to find tons of video complaints from other angry and frustrated consumers. The leakage seems to be consistent with many other complaints. The detergent dispenser tray slot has mildew build up behind the tray itself. The bleach dispenser tray is rusting... what the heck.We finally pulled the back of the cover off to notice the water was pouring out the back of the machine during the rinse cycle. Basically $700.00 put the window... and this is the top loader extra capacity washer without the middle agitation piece. Newsflash, another service tech shared that your clothes arent even getting as clean as they should without the agitator piece in the machine which helps move the clothes around. Technology... you have to wonder. LG knows these issues exist and still push out these poor performing products. Sad. I am definitely in on a class action suit... lets band together and get it started. Conyers, Ga angry and disappointed.

LG service lacks timeliness. I bought an LG French door refrigerator which we put in service three years ago (in 2015). Since that time we have had the circulation fan replaced in 2017 and the compressor failed in 2018. We have now been waiting for three weeks to have the compressor replaced and it appears we will be yet a fourth week before we have a technician here to perform that work. Took 2 weeks to get the tech out to diagnose and order the parts needed, another week to get the part and set up another appointment, then the appoint was cancelled because a plastic part I could snap on myself was not yet on hand. Like I said: Now looking to be 4 weeks (maybe) before I once again have another functioning refrigerator. NOT HAPPY!

I was so excited about getting the French door, two drawer model. I have two complaints. First one is the shelves. I have more tall bottles than the fridge accommodates, then there is a short space behind that I can set something in but you have to remove the tall bottles to get to it. The main complaint is the icemaker. The ice balls come out great, it makes 3 a day, however the crushed and cubed work for about a week then nothing for a week then suddenly its working again. We called customer service they referred us to the local technician who apparently hates his job. He would not even come out to look at the problem. He said he would order a new icemaker. At this time the fridge was only 3 weeks old. We had to keep calling him back to check on the new part. Then he never came out with the part until after the 3rd time he said he would come. Then he wouldnt speak to us. After about a month the icemaker quit for a week then started up again and so on. I ordered ice trays on Amazon. No way we will deal with that repairman again. And when he did come out we were really nice and friendly I even told him a few jokes and he totally ignored me. We bought it through Costco.

I purchased the stove from Home Depot on March 29, 2011. My kitchen remodel was completed two months later, making the actual age of the stove approximately four months old. I dont cook on the stove often and only used the oven this one time. I placed a tray with dinosaur breaded chicken pieces in the oven at 350 degrees. Five minutes into cooking them, I heard glass shatter. I ran to the kitchen thinking a window had broken. I looked at the oven and the inside glass had shattered. I waited the weekend and called LG service on Monday. A service man came on Tuesday (Granville **). He came late. He trudged through my house with mud and looked at my paperwork for the stove. He poked at the broken glass and tiny pieces fell on the floor. He took pictures, closed the door, took a picture of the serial number, kicked the tiny of pieces of glass off his work boot and proceeded to leave my house. I stopped him and asked if the repair was getting done today. He said something about the LG company. I said, “Could you please tell me if the repair is getting done today?” He said, Call the company tomorrow. I said, “Tomorrow, I want my stove done today.” He said, Call the company. I cant do no more. I immediately called LG and they said, Werent you told to call tomorrow? I said, “I want to know today.” They put me on hold and said they would call the service man. When they came back on the phone, they said, “The service man notified us that it was negligence on your part that the oven glass broke.” Was it on my part? I put something in to cook. The glass shattered only on the inside pane of glass and blew apart into tiny pieces that flew all over my floor when I opened it. And I have a small child that could have been badly injured if he was playing near this monstrosity of a product. A service man came, poked his finger at the broken glass and more pieces fell on my spotless floor. He kicked his heel to make the ones on his boot fall off onto my floor and walked away leaving them there. And Im into day six without a stove and your company is telling me I can get it repaired if I pay for it. Should I pay for it? I dont even think this stove is safe with new glass. Something caused that glass to blow apart, whether the thermostat let the temperature get too high, the glass wasnt properly sealed, or the complete stove is defective. One thing is certain. I did nothing wrong to cause this to happen. And the replies I keep getting, that are made to make me feel like a liar, are totally sickening. I have LG washer and dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, stove, and seven wall unit air conditioners. And you mean to tell me that I never made a single complaint. But the one and only time I do, Im at fault? Did I deliberately or by mistake broke a window out of my oven? Absolutely not. I bought all these products in good faith. I even bought extended warranties on some. At the first sign of trouble, your company turns its nose up at me. What a disgrace!

The knobs are actually paper/tin which cracks and peels after just a little wear. The oven has never baked right. It burns everything on the bottom. Nothing I did corrected any of the problems.I have told everyone I know not to purchase this brand of stove, and will continue to tell the public about this lemon. To produce something so inferior and sell it to the public just shows that this company has no regard for customers and will sell junk. For me it was way too late to send this piece of junk back as by the time I used it warranty had passed. I tried to call this company and was told there was nothing they could do. They did not even try to listen or help me in any way. Its too bad because I work with broadcasting/media and I have prevented many people from making the same mistake, and will continue to do so. PLEASE do not spend your hard earned money. You will be sorry.

Ive had my LG Front Load washer for several years. It is horrible and always has been. My clothes smell and Ive tried every product to get rid of the smell. My white clothes are always dingy regardless of what I do. Now the bleach cup is always full of water after every load of clothes is washed. Upon washing another load, when the dispenser drawer is pulled out, the water in the bleach cup comes streaming out. I barely ever use bleach, so it cant be a rust problem. I will be glad when this horrible machine dies. Ill for sure get something else and not an LG product. My LG dishwasher isnt worth a hoot either. Never again will I purchase LG products.

Bought the LG direct drive dishwasher in May 2012, worked for 2 years then stopped working. We had a repair person come out and they replaced the motor and drain pump which didnt fix it. They came back and replaced the motherboard which didnt fix it, then replaced the water inlet and it worked for 2 months and now its not working properly again, not drying dishes. I think its the heating element this time, ridiculous.

Cooks great! Seriously DANGEROUS knobs, huge FIRE HAZARD! Purchased Nov 26, 2017 delivered December 21, 2017. No problems with the cooking features as I love this stove for that purpose. However, I did not have any issues with the knobs turning on by just a brush or bump or even just standing close & assuming static causing the problem UNTIL LG sent a new control unit which is the entire front portion of the stove above the door due to the finish falling off in big chunks just by wiping with a damp rag! I wish I had just had my new stove painted stainless at a local paint shop as I did remove the knobs when not in use for fear my house will burn down until I noticed the stems cause the burners to turn on even more than with the knobs on so now I trip the breaker to the stove and NEVER leave my house or go to sleep with that breaker not in the OFF position.I realized the burners actually heated up when I sat my cold bag with a gallon of milk I had just purchased on the stove top. Turned to go get another bag from car & came back in to a smoke filled kitchen & a melted cold bag including the entire bottom of the plastic milk carton with boiling milk all over the stove & running down the front of the door! It took approx 25 secs to grab the bag & return to the kitchen but I had sat the bag on the ultra burner unfortunately! It works very well! Now if the control panel is barely touched by a mere piece of clothing the broil turns on HI and my oven is locked yet the door is not shut so it’s not useable but it still turns on! LG will not assist you other than advising you to have a repair person come check it out & at your expense since the warranty is out. I wish I could say buy this stove you will love it but the Fire issue is the only reason I cannot. I now cut my breaker off to my stove before leaving my house or going to sleep! Also, I cannot get an answer from LG, but my lockout feature only prevents the oven from being turned on, it does not lock the stove top controls! I paid a little over $1300 for this stove. I am going to try to find a fix, either knobs that lock or a person to rewire my control panel to prevent the fire hazard! I will post a solution if I am able to find one that is inexpensive!

The cast aluminum spider connecting the motor to the stainless steel tub in
The cast aluminum spider connecting the motor to the stainless steel tub in LG front load washers disintegrates due to electrolytic action in a moist and warm environment, necessitating a repair that costs almost as much as a new machine. The part only has a one-year warranty. LG knows about this design flaw, but still persists fabricating machines with it. They would do well to have a recall on all the machines with this design flaw. Check out the image of my defective LG spider below. I ended up spending around 8 hours dismantling the whole machine and installing a new [doomed to fail] spider. I am lucky to have these skills, but most people dont. Other than the spider connector, the machine has been fine.

We purchased this refrigerator (LG Top Freezer Refrigerator Model # LTC22350 SS100) less than 2 years ago and have been extremely disappointed with its quality from the beginning. We also have an LG cook-top stove and my wife is ready to toss both of them. The refrigerator has plastic drawer runner tracks that are paper-thin and not very durable at all. The stove had to have the touch control panel replaced in the first year. Also, the oven temperature cannot be maintained and must be regularly changed or regulated. We will not buy any more LG products. We just recently bought a new TV and guess what brand it was not?

We bought all brand new top of line LG appliances...refrigerator alone well
We bought all brand new top of line LG appliances...refrigerator alone well over 2,000.00 in Fall 2017. Loved the new appliances but in Fall 2019 a compressor went out in the refrigerator. Yes, LG covered the replacement and repair but what they don’t want to tell you is the refrigerator will never run quiet again. We have had to call the tech back three times to come look at it because it runs so loud. We bought the product because it was super quiet and our kitchen is close to our family room and bedroom. It will wake you up at night. It runs with vibrating noises, humming, etc and LG’s fix is sending an email with acceptable refrigerator noises. What a joke.I told them if it would have ran like this when I originally purchased it would have been taken back in the first 30 days. The tech comes and states it’s a little louder than normal but not a single thing is being done. The tech calling LG while he was here was a joke too...all they could say to do is take off some clips to see if vibrating stopped...guess what?!?! It didn’t and it is still loud as ever. I will never buy another LG product and would never recommend.

In August 2011, I bought an LG top load washer (WT5001CW) at Sears as well as a dryer for a total price of $1,850. Less than one year later, the lid on the washer locked. When the technician opened up the top panel, I noticed that the metal was scorched - like in fire. The entire board had to be replaced. Ive also noticed a foul smell ever since Ive had the washer. Recently, I was notified of a recall due to some balancing problem. I was also sent a sticker advising me not to wash or spin any item known to be waterproof or water resistant, even if the label on the item permits machine washing. I was under the impression this warning would only be in effect until the recall problem was taken care of. Oh no, the technician who came out made sure he told me never to wash things like bathmats or mattress covers that may have rubber/vinyl backing. I asked what am I to do since bathmats for one thing need frequent washing. He told me, Lady, go to the laundromat. Im 75 years old on a fixed income and the money I paid for these appliances was hard to come by. Ive had many different washing machines in my lifetime, but never encountered anything like this. I wish the LG CEOs office was nearby so I could dump this piece of crap in front of his desk. Life is not so good right now.

Bought LG (TrueBalance) machine 2 yrs. ago. It will NEVER stay balanced. I have called the company and their reps are so inexperienced and unhelpful (I think they read from a script). It runs and re-runs water. I have to stay right there watching it constantly!! Does not get clothes clean at all, even though it sometimes takes over 2 hours to do 1 load. Clothes are still pretty wet even when it completes. I wasted a lot of money on this machine and now need to re-purchase one that works properly. I dont even know what to do with it, I would never try to sell it to anyone else. It has been a nightmare and I have done everything I know to try and fix it. Would never recommend this machine to anyone.

I have been reading many of the disturbing complaints in this forum regarding the LG washer recall and can only add to the frustration expressed here. My parents purchased one of the models that has been recalled (WT5101HV Serial No. 007KWYP02018), about 18 months ago. The machine was acting up, and they just got the letter about 2 months ago. We called LG and scheduled to have a technician come out, and they did the software patch download. This was a joke! It did not fix the problem, instead it only perpetuated it. Now, instead of the wash load spinning rapidly out of balance.... it spins much more slowly and still out of balance! In addition, the wash and rinse cycles still do not work properly. The machine starts the normal wash cycle, and never drains any of the soapy water! Instead, it keeps adding more and more water (just like before). It only drains all of the dirty soapy water (very slowly) at the end of the Full wash/rinse/and softener cycle. And it never properly spins the wet clothes to remove excess dirty water. This process takes 3 times as long as before, and the clothes never come out totally clean. A simple load can take all day to complete! They are ready to Dump the unit in the ocean! Does anyone know if there is any kind of class action or formal legal group that is trying to get LG to make customers whole?

I just purchased my LG double oven range one month ago. Cleaned the cooktop as required by manufacturer. Razored off the food stuck on as by manufacturing specs. A stuck on piece of rice being scraped off by the razor provided with the range caused a chip in the glass. The rice and a piece of glass top came off together. LG states this is not covered under warranty and will not repair. Cleaning a stuck on piece of anything should not cause a piece of glass to come off with it. I bought 3 LG appliances at the same time and I will not buy again. I have had a glass cooktop range before. Cleaned it several times the same way never a problem. This range was over $1000. That glass top should be bulletproof as far as I’m concerned.

After my husband returned home from Iraq, we thought we deserved an upgrade
After my husband returned home from Iraq, we thought we deserved an upgrade of our 15 year old hand-me-down washer and dryer. We purchased the LG front loading washer (model # WM2487HRM). It began smelling horribly, not long after. We have had to leave the door and the dispenser drawer open, put dryer sheets in to help with smell in between washes, regularly try to wipe out the disgusting rubber seal, after every wash, because of the remaining water, and still it stinks. The printing on the machines is rubbing off, and the seams on the exterior of the dryer seem to be disintegrating. Every time I wipe it clean, the color of the machine (red) wipes off! We also have terrible vibrations with it. On January 18, 2012, we had a service technician come to check why it sounded like it was so far off balance, that it was going to crack the interior. Of course, the extended warranty provider, Federal Warranty Service Corporation, sent out the repair company of their choosing. He checked that the machine was indeed level (we already tried that), still it shook so bad that he had to remove the top of the washer, and proceeded to tell me wow! You should see how bad it is! That thing was going crazy inside there! He said the bearing was bad, and warned that with continued use, it might seize up. He also said that he wouldnt even attempt to replace it, because of the man hours it would require, and they only pay him a flat fee of $95 to repair it. It just wasnt worth his time. He said he would contact the service contract provider with the recommendation, to replace the machine altogether, and even recommended that we get a top loader next time! We still havent gotten any resolution, and our washer is worse than ever! LG, Home Depot, and Federal Warranty Service Corporation should all be ashamed of themselves for producing, selling, and attempting to maintain service contracts on this washing machine! It is the last time I will I purchase from any of them! Class action suit? Count me in!

Purchased refrigerator in 2012, LFX31925ST. Start with pros. Purchase for the large space and front features. I have purchased many of LG products. The customer service is ok, but they dont stand by their product... From day one I had an issue with the ice maker followed by the motor make noise. Not to mention the glide server drawer stopped sliding, it seems like the cheap plastic wheel broke off. Well they came out to service motor, but said ice maker was not part the warranty! They replaced the motor, but two years later the unit stopped cooling and freezing. Guess what?? The motor stopped. I called for the same issue. They want charge for service $400. I had the product for only 5 years and already is giving out like its 20 years old. What makes it worst is they dont stand by their product. Dont be fooled by their 10-year warranty. It only covers parts, they will squeeze cost out of the service charge.

Installed unit from 7/15/2016. Morning 12/24/2019 wife noted dripping water into unit from front upper ice maker. Upper 56/lower 54 degrees. Merry Christmas, family coming, 12lb ham for Christmas & 10lb brisket for Christmas Eve. Immediately connected with LG phone & Clark the virtual voice response system. After 2 quick checks on virtual phone; 1) Yes unit is level and doors closed, 2) No change in fridge 37 degree setting recently; Clark at main office determined required service person & sent text message to file form online. Performed immediately & attached scanned copy 12/24/2019 of all prior receipt/invoicing paperwork for original install. Confirmed upon completion same time that original registration was in system by logging onto original registration account. NO RESPONSE after confirmation online that they had received my input or assigned anyone from local service. On 12/26/2019 evening located 2 available LG service centers in area from LG website, still no follow-up directly and no means noted to do such. Left voice message with one local service center 12/26. Next morning 12/27 called them again and resubmitted my invoice/installation paperwork for warranty confirmation to them via email & scheduled earliest available service visit for Tuesday 12/31/2019. Diagnosis 12/31 -> failed compressor. LG class-action lawsuit noted; still no follow-up from LG Main Office directly after original online submittal & confirmation of receipt. Local service anticipates once LG receives their paperwork end of day when he returns to office & LG re-certifies/validates original purchase/registration; then typically 7-10 business days for LG to send parts to them. Different person will install compressor once they reschedule fix/install. Warranty paperwork indicates Parts on LG, all labor on me. Wish there was a direct way to speak with a real person at LG main office to address issues & receive proper confirmation of path forward for wife/family planning next few weeks without fridge/freezer - Ouch! Is anybody there???

My LG French Door refrigerator has broken down for the second time in the four years since purchase. The refrigerator was purchased in 2008. In 2010, the control panel failed. The cost to replace it was $400.00. Recently, the fridge developed a Freon leak. I contacted LG for a qualified repair person. The repair man told me that the fridge was indeed leaking Freon and it would cost $187.00 to determine where the leak was. He went on to say that if the leak was located in the bottom of the fridge, the repair cost would be between $300.00 to $500.00. If the leak was in the top part of the fridge, it would be unrepairable.LG, a Freon leak in a 4 year old fridge should not happen. Your company should replace this appliance. Im sure that you make quality products but my refrigerator is not one of them. Surely, you do not expect your customers to pay repair cost that total the purchase price for an appliance that is only 4 years old.

Fortunately, I have 10+ year old another refrigerator that I use for storing vegetables. Now, when I call LG, they are saying, unit is out of warranty so you need to pay. LG LFX25971ST Refrigerator. Biggest piece of junk I have ever purchased. And, LG has the absolute worst customer service, ever. I decided to replace my spec house cheap refrigerator with a very, very nice one. I had always bought cheap ones in the past. In 2009, I spent over $2500 on this refrigerator and after 7 years and 2 months, the very cheap and chintzy compressor went out on it. This is well over a $1000 to fix. They knew their compressors were junk, so they replaced the rotary compressor with a linear compressor a year after I bought this thing. Now, I have to decide whether or not to dump $1000+ into this one or get a new one. If I get a new one, I will be throwing away a beautiful looking, fancy, worthless $2500 frig. Note - I bought the cheapest side by side (Admiral brand - Montgomery Wards) frig I could find back in 1997. That frig is still running. I bought a spec house with the cheapest GE frig in it, and that one is still running. The newest, nicest, most expensive appliance I have every purchased is dead. As a door nail. And, LGs local service stinks, too. I asked them how much the compressor would cost me and they said around $600. I found them online all day for $200-300. I sent a note to LG (mind you, you cannot contact the company directly. They have a call center in Romania, I think...) and they could care less. I got the most patronizing note I have ever a received. I will never, ever, ever, buy anything LG. Look at the reviews on this site. Look at the class action lawsuits against them. Dont go by the reviews on their site. They edit them. Worst company making the worst appliances, ever. And. make note, that they make a majority of Kenmore Appliances, as well.

I have purchased LG front load inverter direct drive 7.5 kg 6 motion washing machine. Although it was quite expensive for me but sales man succeeded to give me belief that it is the best model. After finishing warranty period that is 2 years and after exactly 2 years and 8-9 months machine is giving error. We had register complaint then 4 to 5 times their different technicians came telling various problem. And at last they found but spare parts are so costly so I will not suggest this w.m. for ordinary people who cant afford this regular maintenance of around 2000. If small part is also damage you have to take whole unit e.g. PCB harness for one part of filter PCB. It is really not affordable. Company should provide those small parts instead of insisting customer to buy whole units.

Within 6 weeks of purchase, our washer would not turn on. We followed online instructions for a hard reset and were able to keep the machine running for a few weeks, then that process no longer worked. We called LG who scheduled technician. Purchase date July 26, first repair was mid September. Panel replaced. Washer worked for 4 loads and stopped turning on again. We called a second time. A week later a Tech came. He could not diagnose the problem even with another tech on the phone. Ultimately reported back to LG that our outlet was faulty or not properly grounded. We KNEW this was untrue because we had our electric upgraded years ago. We could not get another tech out until we proved we had proper electric. We paid out of pocket $170 for an electrician to come and test our outlet and amperage. There was NOTHING wrong with our home wiring. He suggested was a cord issue. We reported this to LG agents and were told a tech would come back with cord and replace. Tech came a week later. NO cord had been ordered. We were told it was on back order. This was third visit. Our original call to agents informed us that 3 calls to the home and our appliance would be replaced. That was third visit. (And it occurred on Oct 15 which was over a month without a washing machine.) We were told cord was on back order and would not be available until some time early November. Every time we called (four times) we were told something different about when the part would be available. The technician told us he would recommend replacement. He requested copy of receipt. We sent texted image to tech and assumed all was in place. Two weeks later, on Oct. 30 I called again for an update. I was told (after speaking to THREE DIFFERENT AGENTS) that the tech had not submitted recommendation for replacement.Agent contacted tech who said we had not provided receipt of purchase. I was also told by agent Arthur that the part on back order had in fact been sent to the technician on Oct. 23rd. (Per Arthur this came from Jamie in parts dept.) I demanded replacement. Was told to upload receipt to a portal emailed to me (which I did) and a replacement review would be implemented. Per agent Ivan this would take about 5 business days. The next day the technician called and wanted to schedule a Saturday visit for repair, because miraculously he did in fact have the part after all. My husband and I were both unable to be home, he worked and my father is seriously ill) so we declined that Saturday repair. I also was afraid that if he came out and was still unable to repair the washer it would cancel the process in motion for a replacement.I also reported this conversation to Ivan, as he called me back that same Thursday to check in and inform me that he had received my uploaded document as requested. He agreed that another repair attempt may further muddy the situation. Six business days later I called LG again and spoke to agent Mary. She said the technician had submitted a recommendation but not a request and the process had to begin again. I was furious. It was now one week into November and I am still paying for laundromat services to have clean clothes WHILE making payments to Lowes for the non working washer. Ultimately, I called from another phone to the tech on speaker (his number was on his business card) while agent Mary was on the other phone on speaker and insisted they speak to each other. The tech said he had done everything he was supposed to do and was tired of people dragging him back into the situation. He hung up on me (the tech) and Mary the agent was very apologetic but had no recourse besides starting over with the replacement appeal. The next day, the technician called my husband and said he could come that very day and replace the cord. (Funny how when people are forced to communicate in front of the customer, miracles happen.)My husband allowed him to come. He replaced the top selection panel, the front panel and the power cord. He said if the washer stops working now we will have to get it replaced because there is nothing left to repair. That was November 7th. One week later, the washer is functioning properly and I am still catching up on my wash. This took from September 12 to Nov 7th --FIFTY SIX DAYS (almost two full months, and nearly twice as long as we owned the washer before it stopped working), four technician visits, three parts replaced, out of pocket cost for an electrician to test our power (though we knew that was not the issue) and at LEAST 12 CALLS to LG to resolve.I have been a home owner since 1991. NEVER EVER in my life have I experienced more frustration in dealing with customer service. After the second unsuccessful attempt to repair an BRAND NEW washing machine we should have been offered a hassle free replacement. LG not only sells a product they cant repair, they have no willingness to make things right with their customers. I will tell everyone I know about this experience and discourage them from purchasing any product LG makes. I will never even CONSIDER their products in the future. Lifes Good ?? Not for LG customers.

Bought LG double door refrigerator about 2 years ago. The drawer broke after 6 months. Called for replacement part. Paid $50 for a new drawer. It didnt fit. Was the wrong one. Called LG. They said they dont make a replacement drawer for my model and they sent me the closest one which doesnt fit because its not for my refrigerator. They did refund my money and I now use the old drawer with duct tape. And dont even get me started on the ice maker. The LG refrigerators look nice but are made very poorly. And if you are looking for service and support after you buy and something goes wrong, dont purchase LG.

The factory replaced the motherboard (main circuit board) only because of a national recall, which I never was made aware of. The tech said the repair wouldnt solve the control problems and I would have to make an appointment for that repair and pay for the parts and service call. I bought factory replacement circuit boards and replaced them and now the oven wont turn off unless you go outside the house and flip the electric circuit breaker.

It is ridiculous to have to dry the washer out each time it is used. The door is hard to open and so low to the ground I have injured my back. You have to clean out the little holes at the bottom of the gray piece. It holds lint. The dryer door is very hard to open. We took the light bulb out so I only have to open the door when dryer has been used. The washer and dryer doors are always open to permit me from having to lean over and pull the doors open. I have had back surgery since we got the washer and dryer and I was fine before the purchase. I will never buy an appliance from LG again!

We purchased the LG refrigerator in September of 2016. In July of 2018. The LG failed to cool intermittently. Over the course of a week, service was sent and could not find a problem. The issue appeared to resolve spontaneously. Exactly a year later we are having the same problem. We have completed the ridiculous instructions to unplug the power for 2 hours, then wait 24-48 hours to see if cools. We can expect service in 10 days. This is unacceptable, LG knows of the poor performance of this refrigerator and has failed to take appropriate action to resolve the problems in a timely manner.

This microwave caught fire while steaming vegetables. We heard a snapping sound followed by the entire inside space bursting into flames. I was able to extinguish with no damage except to the microwave. Since the unit was only 10 months old and still under warranty I called LG. Their response was immediate and a technician (tech) was at our home the next day. Upon arrival and inspection he made a few comments: (1) Why did we clean up the damages inside the unit? (2) What happened? (3) I need to call home office to talk to inside Tech.He made the call as we stood there and a Tech on the phone asked him to send a video from his phone with instructions from the Tech on the phone. Once completed he hung up and said this unit is fried and needs to be replaced but two Techs from home office had to review. Ten minutes later they called back saying it was customer error due to GREASE FIRE and they would not repair or replace. My only choice was to escalate the claim to LG management which I did. After sending them store receipt I asked for the denial and reason in writing which they absolutely refused to give me. The next day they emailed me to say they set up a Return Authorization Review and I should hear from them within 2-3 business days. It is now five business days with no response!I went to the store where I purchased the LG microwave, gave them my notes and asked for help. Once reviewed by store and they seen what LG was putting me through they said they would replace the unit. Would you buy another LG product after reading about this runaround? I would not but I certainly will purchase again from Best Buy as they stood behind a product that the manufacturer, LG in this case, would not.

For a long time we had a Maytag dryer and loved it but when it finally died
For a long time we had a Maytag dryer and loved it but when it finally died we decided to get an LG dryer to match our LG washer which we have had no issues with. We purchased the dryer from Home Depot and since it was brand new it has melted MANY items, mostly coats and blankets. I have wasted tons of money replacing damaged items and and scared it will result in a fire. At first I just thought it was because the dryer was fancier than I was used to and I needed to learn how to used its technology but after learning the ins and outs it has continued to happen time and time again. Now I just air dry a lot of items to avoid them burning and melting which is a huge pain. It even has melted several infant Muslin blankets which is not what I would consider a material sensitive to heat. I’ve honestly just been avoiding contacting customer service knowing it will just be a hassle but I am beyond frustrated and after looking up see there is a class action lawsuit for LG dryers catching fire so I plan to contact them ASAP to get resolution. In the future I will go back to my tried and true Maytag.

We bought a one year old LG Trom stainless steel washer from a co-worker of my spouse when we moved into our new house. I was not crazy about a front loader but loved the price and the fact he would deliver it. To its credit, it spent the next 2 1/2 years washing up here, including the cast offs of 4-5 bassets hounds, which we foster for the rescue. We got an error code OE on a regular basis and cleaned out the two filters and it came back on. It made our clothes and laundry room smell and always leaked a small amount out on the floor. Finally, it would not clear the OE code although I could run it through the cycles manually. When I checked on getting it repaired, the eye opening started. The first appliance store I called stated that something should be done about these being imported into the country. He virtually recoiled when I told him what I had. And only person in my area (southern Houston, not exactly the boonies) worked on these and could get parts. Okay, I called him. $75.00 service call when we can get to you, and it cant be applied towards the repair. Then I researched online and found out that it would most likely cost 200-400 dollars to fix it with even small things wrong.Okay....maybe I just will buy something else, like the top loading white Kenmore I have spent the last 50 years washing in. I checked around with two used dealers and again, they didnt fix LGs, would not carry them, and didnt want one. The used Kenmore is downstairs merrily washing away in 30 minutes time when the LG took an hour for most anything. Also, I could soak or dye anything in it. It left here with the junk dealer...Good Riddance!

July 16, 2014, we had our new LG stainless steel refrigerator delivered to our home and we were so excited. That excitement was short lived. It had been a few days before I could get to remove the plastic sheeting that was on the front of the doors and when I did start to remove the plastic sheeting I noticed there were small rust spots going down both side of the door. First I thought that stainless steel should not be rusting, and then said to my husband there are more spots all over the sides of the door. I then placed a call to Home Depot Store and informed them of the rust spots and that I wanted them to fix the problem. Home Depot told us to call LG. We placed a call to LG and were informed they DO NOT FIX COSMETIC problems. It was delivered like this.Home Depot had a local Refrigerator repair company come to look at the Rust on the side of my new refrigerator door; even this repairman was baffle as to what could have caused the rust spots. This repairman couldnt remove the spots after spending more than hour in my home. We got the run around for most of the first day and for four weeks following the first phone call. We called Home Depot back and threatened to return this new LG Refrigerator to the front doors of Home Depot and or report this unhappily experience to the local media outlets. We have finally been informed Home Depot will take care of this problem. Its been over two months since we purchased this rust bucket and the rusty refrigerator is still in my kitchen. Moral of the story, DONT PURCHASE LG. We learned the hard way, LG does not stand behind their products and is not customer friendly.

Our LG washer was recalled, due to the agitator coming up out of the machine and injuring people. This happened apparently as a result of washing waterproof bedding. LG sent a repairman out, and he did nothing other than put a sticker on the washer that said not to wash waterproof items. This didnt work for us, as my little boy has asthma and needs his mattress covers washed. We proceeded to go shopping, possibly for another LG, but found that ALL LG washers have that warning. We ended up going for a different brand and I am glad we did because about 6 months later, our LG dryer started making this horrible clacking noise. Turned out the drier actually has a cracked drum.We called the LG company, and they said we had to have the receipt (from 4 years ago) or they cant help us. The manager actually hung up on me. We called the place that we got the dryer from, but they dont keep receipt records that long. We also tried our credit card company, and their records only go back to 2011. Stay far, far, away from any LG products. This company makes defective equipment, knows it, and then makes it impossible for you to meet their requirements for them to repair the defects. If you think you may want an LG device, please look at all the bad reviews and horror stories. It takes just a simple Google search.

LG washers & dryers steel drum cracked and flooded my utility room, den area kitchen and two hallways in our home. Resolution dept/LG Risk Management Dept. tactics are unethical. The drum/tub is only partially plastic not steel. LG told me I had to get my homeowners insurance to pay for floor damage. They are awful. I contacted a number of appliance retailers and told my story and their reply was, This is why we dont even carry LG. Their appliances are pretty but thats about all. Their appliance performance and dependability does not measure up in essence. Buyer beware with LG manufacturers!!

I purchased my refrigerator in February 2017. On May 3, 2019, the refrigerator completely stopped working. A service technician replaced the compressor on May 7th. The refrigerator still would not cool. The service technician returned on May 16th and May 18th. The refrigerator NEVER cooled. Two more service appointments were scheduled. The service technician never showed for those last two appointments. Finally, on May 28, 2017, LG USA agreed to refund part of the purchase price. I have still not received the agreed upon amount. I would NEVER purchase another LG product nor recommend anyone I know to purchase a LG product!

I bought the washer and dryer three years ago. Six months after the purchase the hot water stopped going into the washer so I just washed with cold. I had two techs check out this machine. One couldnt figure out what was wrong and the second told me I need a whole control panel. That was to the tune of $400.00 plus service call. Now you are wondering why I didnt get this cared for during the first six months. Well I had brain surgery and even had to learn to walk again so that washer was not my priority at that time. Guess Ill continue with cold water. Never again!!!

Bought our house in May of 2014 and it came with the brand new LG front loading washer. I wish it didnt because it has been an ongoing problem since we started using it. Besides having to clean it all the time, it leaks constantly. First, the error message would go on and the water wasnt draining, so it would leak everywhere, plus we would have to empty the water. We had that repaired. Now, its leaking from a different area, which is a different issue Im being told. This is the 3rd repair done on this machine!! I will never buy a washer like this again especially from LG. I thought they were a reliable company, but they definitely are not!
