LG Customer Service rep fell ASLEEP during the call to LG My $800 Mistake

My LG experience (happened today). have to break it down into chapters because the entirety is shocking about LG.

Chapter 1: Pre-Face.


=================.


LG brand is BAD !! Buyer Beware!! (dishwashers, fridges, TV, etc.).


I bought a LG dishwasher 1.5 year ago. Now the Control Panel is defective. But the labor warranty is 1 year, so now I have a $800 rock.


This type of defective/warranty tactic is shady manufacturing. I found many other reviews of LG dishwasher saying the same issue!.


LG electronics might have been a good brand 15 years ago, but now it's TERRIBLE.


LG should NOT be trusted with your money!.

Chapter 2: The First Phone Call.


=========================.


Sadly I had to call LG twice in the same day. Here describes the first call. BUCKLE UP.


Upon calling LG Customer Service (for any of their products, dishwasher, fridge, TV, etc.) their system tells you to go Online for help.


Their system tells you find everything online and spends 5 minutes explaining to go online in extensive detail.


I already went to LG online and their website is shit. Also, their website sends your info to scammers. That's another story.


Back to the call... I press the menu buttons for customer service. Of course I want to talk to a rep.. that's why I'm calling a phoneline!!.


5 minutes now wasted.


*beep* .


The phone system then errors out and it says "Error Breaktime Exceeded 30 minutes" repeatedly and then it hangs up on me.


Basically, LG phone system told me it connected me to a rep that exceeded their breaktime by 30 mins and is not answering the call. WTF? The LG system doesn't connect me to a different rep, it just ends call! SO BAD.


10 minutes wasted now.


Okay. I call back into the LG system AGAIN. I try again, like Lottery!!! Maybe their system will connect me to a rep who is there??? LG is a $3 billion company afterall.


15 minutes wasted now.


*beep*.


Success! No call error, it connects me to a rep! .


Conversation begins.. overseas rep.


*beep*.


Upon answering call, the LG Rep says: "ugh.. Drain your hose..ugh..".


Me: "Hello, what?".


LG Rep: "Drain your hose.".


Me: "I called you just now. What are you talking about?".


* silence * .


Me: "Hello?".


* silence *.


Me: "Hello are you there? This is my first time calling.".


LG Rep: "Yes I'm here.".


Me: "Okay I want to request warranty on Control Panel.".


* silence *.


Me: "Hello, what's going on here?".


LG Rep: "Yes.".


* silence *.


Me: "Hello???".


* silence*.


.. * more silence*.


after about 5 more mins of silence, I begin to hear HEAVY BREATHING & SNORING. .


Yes, that's right. The LG Rep was laying in bed and he went back to SLEEP WHILE ON PHONE.


His breathing sounded so peaceful, so I didn't want to wake him. ~~ In~~ Out~~~ into the phone. .


I tried to record sounds, but legally my phone didn't allow me.


AMAZING customer service for LG products, folks.


35 minutes now wasted.

Chapter 3: The Second Call.

Y'all -- I don't have a choice. I have a $800 rock , so I need to call LG and i have to TRY AGAIN.


Maybe this time, I won't get a LG rep who falls asleep?? Lottery spin again!.


40 minutes wasted now.


*beep* .


System connects me. Okay, the rep is not on break.


But is the rep sleeping?? .


Conversation begins.. overseas rep...


*beep* .


LG Rep: "Hello, how can I help you?" (seems promising).


Me: "Hello, my LG Dishwasher Controls is not working. I want to do warranty please.".


LG Rep: "Warranty is 1 year. You are over by 4 months. It's out of warranty now.".


Me: "How come online it says 5 years warranty?".


LG Rep: "Oh yes. 5 years for parts. 1 year for labor." (I later find out the Labor will be $650).


...75 minutes wasted in total, just today.

Chapter 4: Concluding Thoughts.

There you go, folks! $800 LG Dishwasher Controls defective after 1.5 year. $650 to repair.


LG Life's Good -- for them since they sold me CHEAP JUNK for $800. Now I know how they're a $3 billion company, by essentially swindling & tricking people with cheaply-glued junk.


LG is basically like DollarStore quality now. From Customer Service to their products to everything! BEWARE BUYING LG!.
