Price was the best. Delivery was fast. Old refrigerator was taken. Size of compartments were good. Design is nice. Cost is excellent. Different compartments for easy access to food and drinks color choices and size available were also taken into consideration. Our 25-year-old Kitchen Aid dishwasher died and sadly our landlord replaced it with an LG dishwasher. Whether it works to our satisfaction has yet to be seen; the design is my big complaint. We are bending over literally almost to the floor to load the dishes. I own some giant pots, but none big enough to justify the enormous gap between the top and bottom shelves. Its ridiculous. I actually stubbed my toe and injured myself on the open door, which practically rests on the ground! The prongs are lined too far apart to economically place small dishes and plates and all in a row, so attempting to find a sensible way to group like dishes and glasses is pointless. Fortunately, we hadnt thrown away the utensil tray from the Kitchen Aid; I dont understand the covers on the junky LG tray, some of which stay open and some dont. Its just a cheaply and poorly designed, impractical product.

I turned in a Warranty Claim on my LG French Door Refrigerator which LG denied, their reason being that because when the serviceman came out he could not duplicate the problem. It was very obvious that the water had leaked underneath the refrigerator on the left side damaging my wood floor on my new home that I had just moved into on June 9, 2016, the refrigerator had been ordered online from Sears and hooked up by Sears servicemen. The water damaged wood under the refrigerator was found when the refrigerator had to be moved for some touchup painting behind the refrigerator. There is nowhere else the water could have come from except the refrigerator. There had been a rotten egg smell in the appliance for about 2 weeks, but there were was nothing rotten in the fridge, I even switched out the filter and put charcoal in the fridge... It finally dissipated after about 2 weeks. I told the repairman about this and he said a water line possibly got stopped up and then it released the water. The problem is he didnt put that on his report, he just put that problem could not be duplicated.

Bought a $3,000 LG refrigerator and the day after it was delivered, I called LG to have it repaired due to the refrigerator arriving damaged with a broken drip tray. Was told I couldnt get just the drip tray, that I would need the entire door assembly and that a tech would have to install it. I have spent 3 days and over 2.5 hours on the phone trying to get this tray fixed/replaced. Finally, I was transferred to a supervisor who set me up with a local service company. The service company would not order the part or come to do the repair because they said that trying to get reimbursement from LG was almost impossible and that LG fought them every time they did a warranty repair on LGs behalf. The service company said they would do it if I paid COD. Why would I pay for a part and labor for warranty work? Called LG back and spent another hour on the phone with no satisfaction. I will never buy another LG product.

I bought an LG refrigerator in Sept 2016, it failed April 2019. I have been without a working refrigerator for over 4 months. They have attempted to replace the compressor 3 times, 2 of these times they also replaced the motherboard, each time its failed. LG told me that they would attempt to repair 3 times before a replacement would be issued. On the day of the 3rd failed attempt I called and was told that they were submitting the approval for a replacement. After not hearing back I called and Im now being told that each of those repairs fell into the same type of repair and that they will be sending a technician to try something different. Not until today was I offered a $150 credit towards a mini- refrigerator. Im being given quite the run-around, a different story each time I call it seems and Im at the end of my rope. How much time am I supposed to take off work to meet repair men, will they attempt this new type of repair 3 more times, then will they try something new? How long will this go on - a year? A refrigerator should last longer than 2.5 years, PERIOD. They are aware they are selling defective refrigerators. There are class action lawsuits about these compressors. Enough is enough. Send me a new unit or give me my money back.

In just 5 months my LG 471 liter refrigerator has stopped cooling. The technician have come twice and are still trying to figure out the problem and its my 4 day without refrigerator plus they are not fully equipped. I am having the worst experience ever and highly disappointed with such a expensive product. All my food items have been spoiled. When the product was delivered that time too there some damage in the handle. We never expected breaking down of such a expensive product merely in 5 months.

I have talked to supervisors and executive corp. supervisors and nothing. I will never buy another LG product, and you shouldnt either if you are reading this. 6 days of my life are gone and had to take time off work not to mention over 700 $USD of food spoiled! They must know this model has had issues but to just leave a good customer hanging is unacceptable! I have had to talk with 6 different people and 3 were supervisors at LG and no one is helping. He called LG support from my home and they told me there is nothing they can do as the tech cannot find anything wrong. They refuse to do anything as they say nothing is wrong with this machine. My experience with LG started 6-7 years with an entire line of appliances. Thus far, the microwave has been repaired once, the dishwasher was repaired once then broke again and had to be replaced, the oven has been repaired twice and now the fridge has gone out. Repairman coming today, but looks like the compressor is bad, so likely buying a new fridge this afternoon. On top of that, the LG TV I bought about 2.5 years ago went out back in the winter and had to be replaced. The washer and dryer are still doing fine, but they are the exception. Great products at first, but reliability is non-existent. LG will never get another penny of my money and I suggest you do the same unless you just have spare cash to burn. They are a joke!

So we installed a new LG range last month during a kitchen remodel. Huge capacity oven, which I appreciate, but the chime indicating preheating target temperature is 100 degrees too early. It ultimately reaches target temp, but about 10 minutes later. The first casserole baked gave us mild food poisoning as we erroneously believed it had cooked according to the recipe. In fact, it was placed in the oven 100 degrees below temp, lost heat in the process of opening the door, then was never cooked long enough. Now I have an internal gauge hung in the middle of the oven space, which I have to illuminate with a flashlight shone through the door, to monitor temp. What a colossal waste of $1300.

We upgraded our entire kitchen with LG appliances. This may end up being a deadly mistake. I am paranoid we are not going to wake up some morning. The knobs on the gas range are UNSAFE. We purchased LG washer WT5070VC and LG dryer DLEX5170W in November 2012. Total cost new at Home Depot was $1400. They are both broken and cost of repair is $700. I contacted LG this morning and spent three hours on the phone with them. They did several diagnostic tests over the phone. They offered nothing. They did try to set me up with a local repairman and could not find one. We contacted Home Depot on our own and paid $97 for their diagnostician to come out. His price for repairs is the $700 mentioned above for a washing machine clutch and assembly as well as the dryer vent blower. These are both minor repairs and will still have this gross total to fix. Will never purchase LG again and plan to discourage others from buying as well. If there is anything I can do to further contact LG, please let me know. I have sent an email to their customer service dept following my phone call with customer service and diagnostics this morning.

The motor has stopped working on my dishwasher and it is within the 10 year motor warranty. LG says they will replace the motor, however I need to pay $180 for a service tech to install the new motor. They say the motor itself is free, I just need to pay labor. I told them to send me the motor and I will install it myself, however they refuse to do so. The terms of the contract state that I am responsible for labor, that should give me the freedom to use my own labor, not be forced to pay (and overpay) for theirs.

The ice maker/water dispenser has never worked properly. It was replaced during the warranty stage. Now theres a crack in it where the water fills up before going into the trays inside. Water is constantly leaking out the dispenser. The ice maker freezes up and to get it out to unclog it, you have to yank really hard since its frozen in place by the water that leaks out. The door is being ruined due to the constant water leak. Also, the plastic veggie/meat drawers are both cracked. Really thin edges on them. Just yesterday, the plastic cover on the edge of the shelf came off and wont stay on anymore.

LG refrigerator model LSFD2591ST - Purchased in November of 2013 for $4,500.00. Motherboard failed February 2015. We lost all of our item in both the freezer and the fridge. Absolutely no help from LG as they instructed us that the 12 month warranty had expired. We had the board replaced. Restocked our freezer and fridge only to have the compressor fail two days later. Again lost everything that we had. We went the rest of the month living out of coolers. Today 7-17-15 I get a call from my wife that the fridge is not cooling again! 5 months! Really! Worst mistake Ive made, buying LG refrigerator Model LFX25976ST French door
Worst mistake Ive made, buying LG refrigerator Model LFX25976ST French door, freezer on bottom and ice cube and water dispenser in the door. Within the first year the ice make was giving me problems and after numerous service calls and complaints, I finally had to pay to have it replaced. Now mind you, this the 7th year of owning this piece of crap. In not quite 7 years Ive four service calls, including one where I had to replace the intake valve for the water at the bottom rear of the refer. And another service charge and parts charge. Now its becoming a money pit. Here I am 4 months short of 7 years owning this refer. And the compressor goes bye bye, This time its a $65.00 service call to tell me that it would cost me another $1,569.00 to replace it. Now Ive had enough. Went out and bought a new refrigerator and am hopeful that its going to be a better experience than the piece of ** LG that I had! My recommendation is to never buy a LG product. The service tech was very happy, a five minute call and made $65.00 for it. He said the letters on the refrigerator should read GL in stead of LG standing GOOD LUCK and I believe he was right. Anyone that buys any LG Product deserves what they get.

I received delivery from Home Depot of my LSG4513ST range on December 16, 2020. I immediately began smelling gas when the range was on, but was told that this was normal and that the oven had to run for a while and it would dissipate. The gas smell did not dissipate and was and is detectable by my gas meter. Home Depot was not able to get anyone out to my home to check on the range until 12/31. On 12/31, the plumber/gas fitter came to my home, inspected the range, and said that it was defective and would need to be replaced. I was told that I had to contact LG myself which I did. It took LG until 1/4 to send their representative who is ASAP solutions. ASAP solutions inspected the range and said that it needed a new igniter and manifold. Evidently, there was what they call a “bulletin” on this new $2200 range. In other words, it had defective parts that were known to be defective when I purchased the range which I waited multiple weeks for as it was on back order. In fact, the range wasn’t even manufactured until October of 2020 and was shipped from Korea. Instead of replacing the range, the LG representative from ASAP solutions said they were going to replace the igniter and manifold. I was told that it would be at most a week to order the parts and repair the range. That week has now come and gone and The LG subcontractor is not even answering my emails as to when this will be resolved. I would just like to add that I understand that we are in the middle of a pandemic and that it is not business as usual. I have had to have numerous people come to my home at the expense of my own family’s health to go through this process to still not have a working range. I have not had a working range since December 16, 2020 prior to the delivery of this very expensive range that has never worked, and by the way, I purchased an extended warranty. If I may, I would also like to add that my family has had to go without a range during the holidays and there seems to be no resolution in sight.

The compressor is covered under a 7 year warranty. The labor charge was $706.34 including trip charge, labor, Freon, and small parts. After the unit was repaired and returned several days later the display on the front panel had error messages. The water dispenser and ice maker stopped working. A new problem and another repair cost of $338.60. For a $3,000.00 refrig to last only 5 years is unacceptable and repair cost to date of $1,044.94. The repair cost is more that 1/3 of the purchase price. We will never purchase any other LG products nor recommend them to anyone. Buyer beware.

2013 LG 3-Door French Refrigerator, out of warranty. Ice maker quit, replaced. Still no ice. Makes cubes but have to manually cycle the ice maker. Fridge only cools to 50 degrees, freezer only to 22. Cleaned coils, cleaned connectors, checked wiring. Compressor hot, fans running. No obstructions to air vents & ducts. Feel cool air blowing out. What an overpriced, short lifespan POS. I will bet that the 15 year old GE side-by-side that was replaced is still working great. LG... NEVER AGAIN.Updated on 7/21/2017: Jaime of Sears Appliance Repair came by to diagnose the fridge today 7/19/2017. 4 year old LG French 3 Door Refrigerator Model #LFX25991ST/02 TL;DR... DONT BUY LG! READ THE REVIEWS! The original issue was the ice maker would freeze cubes but not automatically harvest them. The tray would fill, cubes would freeze and I could manually run the harvest cycle but 2 trays per day (one morning and one night) was not a serviceable solution. I replaced the ice maker and same problem. After further reading, I measured the compartment temperatures and both the fridge & freezer were a bit too warm even at max cooling settings on the door. So the ice maker sensor never got a cold/frozen signal to harvest the cubes.Fridge was @ approximately 50 degrees and freezer approximately 25 degrees (will still freeze cubes) measured with a Harbor Freight digital thermometer. This was checked dozens of times by me in the weeks prior to calling for service as I tried to troubleshoot the problem by cleaning the coils, checking for obstructions to air flow, check for anything burnt, broke or otherwise defective... Removing the freezer contents and all drawers and popping off the rear cover panel we saw only a little icing on the freezer coils area. Jaime said that there should be even icing on all the coils. Mine had icing only on the top row pointing to a weak compressor. The repair would be in the $500-$1000+ range. And even if it was repaired, there was no guarantee that it would be permanent and last. Even replacing *every* part would not guarantee success as there could be a leak or obstruction in the lines inside the refrigerator walls and they are not repairable.Looks like a new fridge is in order. Jaime had five LG repairs on the schedule for today! Dont waste your hard earned money on LG! This one was 4 years and one month old to the day. BOTTOM LINE: DO NOT waste your hard earned money and valuable time on an LG. They are notorious for blown compressors and major issues requiring the totaling of the refrigerator and repurchasing a new one. This one has cost me $3030 (refrigerator) + $174 (service calls) + $150 (ice maker) for 4 years and one month of use. LGone of the biggest POS and worst appliance investments ever.

Kenmore and LG refrigerator have known compressors that fail way before the life of these appliances. I know because mine failed today. I talked to LG and Sears/Kenmore and neither cared. They each blamed the other. My refrigerator is only four years old and I paid over $3,000 for it. I know I am not alone. There is a class action lawsuit against LG for this same problem. I advise that everyone that has this problem join in. Don’t let these companies take advantage of us any longer.

I called LG and they scheduled a repair for me. I took the day off from work to be home for the repair and 2 days before the repair company calls to tell me they couldnt make the appointment and that LG just tentatively schedules a service call. They never communicated that to me, kept me on the phone for over an hour waiting to get to the correct department and then had me jump through hoops to have the money paid for the repair refunded to my account. I would never buy a LG product again. In addition the dishwasher isnt worth the $1000.00 I spent on it!

Model # LFX28978ST - 27.6 cu ft capacity French Door Refrigerator Freezer began with extra loud vibration while running which should have been a sign that something was ready to break. About a month later, the ice maker quit working on Wednesday so we called a local appliance repair shop to come out the following Wednesday to take a look. Over the weekend, the freezer started to warm up, as did the refrigerator. We noticed the meat felt squishy in the freezer. We ended up throwing away the majority of a fully stocked freezer full of meat and frozen dinners. By Sunday night the refrigerator was too warm to keep food, so we transferred all salvageable items to coolers. The repairman told us that he thought the Fresh Food Compressor had broken. We called LG customer non-service to learn that the part needed to be ordered and they could get it in 6 days but she emphasized ETA meaning NO PROMISES! (this is what she told me). The part was not covered, the labor was not covered, we were living out of coolers and spending $25.00 per day on dry ice and ice to keep things cool. No Way! So we decided to scrap the LG refrigerator after only 5 years, cut our losses and buy a new Sears Kenmore (made by Whirlpool). NEVER NEVER NEVER again will I buy an LG Refrigerator or one made by LG (as some Kenmore Elite models). We have also invested in the extended service plan with fingers crossed that the annual check up included with the plan will give us the advanced notice needed to fix a part before it dies. Lifes pretty crappy when your practically new refrigerator dies! LG needs to find subcontractors to supply more reliable parts when they manufacture these units. Really!

We purchased a $1,000 LG washing machine in October 2011. We had always bought Kenmore, but the salesperson said that LG was a great company with good products. So we made the purchase. When the machine was delivered I had noticed on the interior rim that the paint (porcelain?) finish was not smooth in a couple of places about the size of a quarter - this would be directly under the spray head and another area a few inches from the spray head. The delivery person didnt seem to think this was an issue. About 2 years later I noticed that the area directly under the spray head was turning brown, but I didnt think twice about it because at the time I didnt realize this round piece of plastic was a spray head. Well today when I was wiping down the interior of the machine 2 places the size of a pencil eraser came off exposing the metal of the machine. So I called LG to find out what could be done. The first person asked me to upload them and photo, which I did. She told me this was rust and LG would not do anything as this is considered cosmetic. Im like REALLY, this machine is less than 4 years old and rusting. Yup that was the answer. Not good enough for me. So I had purchased an extended warranty - warranty only covered moving parts but they gave me some advice. They told me, in their opinion, this was poor workmanship/defective product and LG should be responsible. So I called LG back and this time I spoke to a head supervisor, of course this was after I had to go through the whole issue with another service rep, just like it was my first call. This woman was so rude, kept cutting me off when I was talking and could not have cared less so I asked that I speak to her supervisor. I asked 3 times to talk to her supervisor and she told me that they do not handle this type of issue and NO I could not talk to them. She repeatedly kept cutting me off saying she would give me phone numbers for some companies to come and make the repair. I am ready for a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT but not sure how to get in touch with those of you that indicated you want to do the same.

About a month later it was leaking badly from the back area to all over my floor. LG Refrigerator Compressor Model # LFX31945ST/02 - We bought our refrigerator in February 2014. It was discounted almost half off to $1851.30 and we had another 10% off coupon (plus they automatically added the 3 year warranty that was another $90). I asked what was wrong with it, why it was discounted so much and I was told it had been a loaner fridge while someone elses was repaired. I snatched it up thinking I was getting a great deal for our new house. There were things that didnt seem right like the door never seemed to seal tight and the light would work then go out then work and so on, but nothing major just little quirks. Then in July 2017 we got up one morning to find that everything was hot in both fridge and freezer. So I contacted LG. I knew that my extended warranty had run out 5 months earlier, but I was told that the compressor was still under warranty along with a few other parts. They could only find 2 places that would work on LG and both were an hour plus away. So I contacted one who right off the bat told me LG was notorious for their compressors going bad. They came out to diagnose a bad compressor $91 and had to get authorization for parts. Meanwhile he informed me that he had 6 more LGs he had to get to with you guessed it BAD COMPRESSORS. Some of them going bad in the first 6 months. After the parts came in he came out replaced it for another $288.90. I asked him would this last longer than the 3 years that I got out of the first one and he told me they would not guarantee anything. He recommended that I sell it as fast as possible. Imagine how I felt. That was last Tuesday 8-15-17. Today is 8-22-17 and it has yet to cool or freeze properly. We have had 2 gallons of milk go bad because it is too warm and my ice maker hasnt worked yet because it has to reach 15 Celsius before it will make ice. We bought bagged ice and it melts a puddle underneath it because it is too warm. I called the technician back who of course feels bad but is not surprised. I spent an hour on the phone with LG this morning, and they tried to get me to call another technician out. I refused told them they better make this right. She told me they would replace the compressor, I told her they would also pay the labor that I was not paying another dime. I just paid it last week and I am not paying it again. She told me the technicians work was guaranteed. I informed her that he told me they would not guarantee it and that they recommended I sell it. She then told me we would reset the freezer by opening the door and slamming it 4 times in a row. What a joke. She told me not to open it for 6 hours and she would call me back then. So I am waiting and furious that we have now lost food twice because LG has an inferior product and refuses to fix it. The technician is scheduled to come back Saturday and is expecting me to pay if LG does not. I will update after my phone call this afternoon. I recommend you stay away from LG refrigerators.

We had problems with our first LG, and finally got our money back. We went to Tate Appliance Center in Tampa, FL where we explained what happened and told it was probably a bad unit. Liking the range, we repurchased another and again bought the $2,500 5-year insurance. Were informed that Tate would replace anything that was wrong, including total replacement. Within the first year, the range top glass started to crack. We called LG that the front burner would turn off automatically, beep or stay on. The technician said LG would not replace it unless it was from the electrical units. Then it cracked across the whole top, which the technician said it needed to be replaced. Lo and behold, LG recalled 161,000 units, but ours was corrected. Now we have cracking from the back control panel. Tate said we had to call their insurance company, but we first offered to have them refund our money and we would buy a 4-piece stainless steel GE package, but they refused. The insurance company said the cracking is not covered since it is cosmetic! We fear what will happen next, but we will never buy LG nor from Tate Appliance Center ever again. Consumers BEWARE!

I call LG Appliance because my dryer would not stop tumbling when I opened the door, my dryer is under 2 years old. I knew what was wrong with the dryer but I wasnt sure who I should call to repair, so I called the mfg, LG Appliance. They told me they would dispatch a repairman and the fee for service was $125. The repairman showed up, replaced the $16 part and then billed me additional labor of $65.00. I called LG to ask why I paid their fee and a service fee and they continued to say that the fee was dispatch, until I asked exactly what dispatch meant - setting up the appointment. Well, I could have done that myself. The customer service rep at LG was pretty cagey in his setting up this appointment, never clarifying that I would pay all the labor fee. My understanding was the service visit would be free.

June 2011, we decided to replace our kitchen appliances. Not because our 27 year old Kitchen Aids did not work, but that they looked very outdated. After very much research, we decided on the LG 4 door LMX 28994 refrigerator with the Converta drawer, the LDF 7932 Dishwasher, and the LMS 2073 Microwave Oven. We choose to purchase a GE Monogram dual fuel range rather than an LG at that same time. Our decisions were carefully researched, and the choices made not only based on those particular appliances features, but also upon the then available reviews. 10 months later, we woke to find the food in our fridge warm and spoiled, and our dishwasher no longer working. April 2012, LG replaced our refrigerator, and when I asked if a new warranty would take effect, was advised by LG that they would only extend our existing fridge warranty by 3 months. I asked why? It was a brand new refrigerator... should it not have a one year warranty? Our dishwasher motor was replaced by LG that same month. 3 months later, our microwave started to malfunction, just after it was out of warranty. We did not purchase an extended warranty for the Microwave, but did purchase extended warranties for the refrigerator and dishwasher. Currently we once again have a refrigerator that requires servicing. Its making so much noise that it wakes us in the middle of the night, and our cheeses are going soft, and milk is warm. The service tech cant seem to decide if its the fan or the compressor. Our hope is that this issue is resolved before our extended warranty is up in June 2016, which by the way, is the only right thing we did when we chose to purchase LG appliances. We should have gone with all GE Monogram, since we have not had any trouble at all with our GE range. Our dishwasher has the worst designed racks weve ever seen, and we are now having to pre-rinse our dishes before placing them in the dishwasher. Ahhh modern technology, got to love it. I wonder if Mr. Seong-Jin Jo, President and CEO for LG Appliance Company is aware of, or even cares about the multitude of dissatisfied customers LG appliance has. They may be trying too hard with their Innovation, sending their products out in the market before they have proven their reliability. After spending almost $4,000.00 to purchase our fridge, $1,500 on our dishwasher, and almost $500.00 on our microwave, one would hope that they would last more than a year or two. Never again would we buy LG anything.

I purchased a home which included appliances including my LG bottom freezer refrigerator (model number LRDC22744TT) this time last year and moved in in August. An internal leak developed in the refrigerator compartment, which was discovered to be a broken reservoir that feeds the water dispenser in the door. The reservoir was replaced by a local serviceman. Here 6 months later, the new reservoir cracks, clearly caused by defect in the component. Their response? Out of warranty. No replacement. LG (or NG, as I now refer to them) and I (and anyone else on Earth that I can persuade) are parting ways.

LG fridge (LFXC24726 French Door Fridge) bought in 2016...compressor failed in 2017. Woke up Memorial Day 2018 and found a pool of water around the fridge. Fridge was warm inside and the frozen food soft. Called LG factory specialist and he used the Smart Diagnosis to analyze the problem. He said I should call a repair person, because the fridge was not working (dont need Smart Diagnosis to tell that the fridge is not working!!!). Removed all the food and scheduled a repair person four days later. The day before the repair person was scheduled to arrive, I checked the fridge and everything seemed O.K....cold fridge & freezer. We decided to have the repair person check the unit to verify that it was O.K.I told the repair person the whole story about the unit not working four days ago and now it is working. He said: THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH LG UNITS...The defrost computer sometimes gets stuck and has to be reset. Just unplug the fridge from the wall or trip the circuit breaker, wait 15 seconds and the computer will reset. That piece of advice cost me $75.00. The repair person confirmed that this information is not in the owners manual and probably the LG factory specialist dont know about this computer problem. I hope this story will save somebody a repair service charge. I learned my lesson...I will never buy another LG refrigerator.

This expensive appliance is a total waste of my money. Thought I was buying top-of-the-line washer, so spent a bit more. My laundry comes out with obvious dirty marks on it, which must be mold being slung onto the fabric. I dont have confidence that anything is really clean. I have had black streaks on white slacks, sheets, blouses, etc. It is disgusting. I have to hand-wash these marks out the best I can; dont always come clean. Have also thrown out 2 full sets of towels due to looking so nasty & dingy. They do NOT come clean. Also have had problems with the balance, where the machine will not spin out the water with 7 minutes left in the cycle. It keeps adding more water, trying to weigh the load, but cannot spin. Wind up having to pull dripping wet clothes out, finish rinsing the best I can in the bathtub, try to hand-wring these heavy items, and let the dryer run way too hard to dry them. Dont ever buy an LG front-load washing machine. Got this in January 2010; it was manufactured 11/10/2009. It is a piece of JUNK!

Updated on 05/19/2019: April 29 was my first review. TOMORROW will DAY 35 without our LG refrigerator. No tech licensed at first with dealing with LG then they offered an in store credit but sent file to Assurance and they sent a tech. Had to wait on parts. LG would not RUSH them. Finally parts in. Had to make appt. Replacing compressor, main PC and therm. $1,100.00. I paid $1,500.00 for fridge. Thursday after approximately 4 hours with service repairman it is finally fixed. Today the fridge is WARM Inside. ITS BROKEN ALREADY. ALL I WANTED WAS A NEW FRIDGE. ITS DAY 35 TOMORROW!!!! PEOPLE should get to see all of the review replies I have done with LG. Not just the first one. I have 8 pages of notes of phone calls on this fridge. How many weeks is a acceptable to wait. I just wanted an in store credit....Updated on 05/02/2019: April 30 posted complaint with lack of service on my refrigerator. April 30 LG quickly responded asking for my telephone number. May 1 I responded. THEN nobody phones. This is now day 18 and no fridge. Please give me an in store credit and perhaps a FREE 4 year extended warranty to make things right. I offered a repairman’s name to you but no you didnt have a contract with him. Yet you did not have any licensed tech for a compressor.Original Review: We are now at day 14 without a fridge. LG doesnt care. Days went by before they said they didnt have e a licensed tech for compressor. More days went by before given an approval number for in store credit then, I was told Assurance Solution Insurance co would take file now. They then decide there is a repair man to diagnose it. Fridge stinks and still waiting to hear what is to be done. Totally UNACCEPTABLE. Should have been looked after within 2 to 3 days. Its a fridge not a microwave.

LG French Door Refrigerator is 1.5 years old and cooling system is intermittent, lost entire content of unit. The ice in the ice machine melted while I was away and ruined my hardwood floor ($450 repair for floor). The local authorized service techs said they have had others LG refrigerators have the same problem. Called LG and was able to schedule a technician to come out after 4 tries. I canceled before he came out because it was working again but since it was prior to the 24hr period they would not refund me. The tech said it would be hard to figure out what is wrong if it working. He suggested that he not come out and wait until or if it has problems again. He said he thinks it is the compressor which is $250 + 125 service call to fix but no guarantee that is the problem. Thank God the parts were under warranty. For a $2000 refrigerator I would of expected it to last more than 1.5 year and have no problems. My old 25 year old GE fridge is still working and never been serviced. LG customer service center is not terribly helpful; called a number of times, each time got a different story, they were only able to follow the script and there was no way to escalate to a supervisor - very frustrating. I usually look at the reviews before I buy. Did not this time but wish I had as I am not the only one to have this type of problem. LG not only has problem with their phones catching on fire and the tops of the washing machine coming off but now it looks like their refrigerators are junk also. Bottom line, will never buy an LG kitchen appliance again.

DONT STOP UNTIL YOU GET YOUR MONEY BACK... I DID. My 4-year old LG fridge stopped working. The fridge was warm and the cooler was warm but everything else worked (lights, water). I had the same horrible experience as most of the reviews I have read. Multiple phone calls leading to nowhere. Had 3 different techs sent by LG and all diagnosed different problems. One said I needed new compressor, the other said compressor was fine but that I had a blockage, the third said I have a leak. I was still covered under the warranty but the techs all explained that the fix was extensive, might not solve issue and it could break down again. Ive never been more proud and embarrassed at myself in my life. I kicked and screamed and shouted and fought with them on the phone for over an hour and a half until they approved me getting my money back (even then I waited for the confirmation email saying so). Im not the type of person to act like that but ultimately I had to be to get what I deserved. My advice, dont give in and fight like heck to get your money back... it can happen. LG should be ashamed of themselves for bad products and horrible customer service. Very few positive reviews about their refrigerators.

I purchased this LG LSXS26386 refrigerator new from Home Depot in June 2016. Shortly after it was delivered, the refrigerator door had to be replaced because the door in door wouldnt stay closed. Now in October 2017, I am having another issue with this refrigerator. It has begun to make a buzzing sound each time the motor is running. After calling LG, they said, through smart technology of my refrigerator, that the error code SBS-ERDS (defrosting system) will require a repair. They offered me a charge of $425 (1 year) or $338 (1 time) repair. I cant believe this! After only 17 months of usage, this piece of garbage refrigerator is already costing me more money. Do not waste your money on this refrigerator or any other product LG is trying to sell!

Just under two years, both refrigerator & freezer stopped cooling. Thankfully we bought the extended warranty. It will be around 2 weeks before this fridge will be running again. Techs need to come out a diagnosis issue before bringing parts. Waiting a week for someone to even come look at this is crazy. Reading on the internet this is a very common issue with LG fridges. Compressors failing after 2 years. I really regret buying this fridge when we renoed the kitchen. My old one is in the garage with zero issues after 12 years.

My beautiful blue coating blistered after the first self cleaning cycle. I was just past warranty when I needed to run the cleaning. LG did not feel they owe us anything as it was past warranty. When I buy an oven I expect it to last 10 years or more, not 1 or 2. What is most disappointing is that we chose the model after careful analysis and based our decision on the high opinion of CONSUMER REPORT!! WHAT A PIECE OF JUNK IT IS - THE TOP UNDER THE BURNERS IS NOT EVEN CERAMIC - IT IS A BLACK PAINT!!!! It scratched after light cleaning with an SOS PAD!!!! STAY AWAY FROM LG - BAD PRODUCT, NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT.

I will never buy an LG refrigerator again. They have very poor customer service. They are very good at giving you bogus information and youre calling customer service in the Philippines. My refrigerator went out on a Friday and LG gives me two supposed authorized dealers, one never picked up the phone and the other one was closed at 2:30 and I couldnt leave a message because of a full mailbox. I took it upon myself to get someone out and had it fixed by Monday. If your product goes out on the weekend forget it.The one supposed authorized dealer said they dont fix LG refrigerators in Arizona anymore and LG still continues to give out that name, the other one said they couldnt get someone out for a week. They are very good at jacking people around and it ended up costing me 743.00 for a new compressor which is covered by LG but they said since I didnt call who they told me to they werent covering it. I had Sears products for 20 years and never had a problem. As a company we keeping signing on for these foreign products and they just dont last. I will never purchase another LG product and I will tell as many people I know the same information.

It’s tempting to say buying this product was the worst mistake I’ve ever made, but that, of course, would be an exaggeration. However, this washer is terrible!!! Just like the rest of you, uneven load is the norm, LG basically doesn’t give a crap, and we paid pretty good money for this hunk. Our water bill - hahaha - efficient??? Absolutely the opposite because it takes like 6 runs to get through a load. My husband has tried to throw the washer through the window, straining his back and causing medical problems. Plus we have to go to marriage counseling now because this piece of “machinery” has caused so much stress. Dirty clothes are mounting regularly, our clothes are never fully clean... I wouldn’t be surprised if I get fired from my job for not smelling good! All joking aside, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I wish we had an old school washer.

Lg has a reputable service and quality and that is why I picked it as a brand for my fridge and Im looking to get other products with LG brand because I trust it. It is big and provides a lot of room for sodas and other tall containers. I have plenty of room to hold food and not worry about the food falling or busting on other containers. It also has plenty of room for fruits and vegetables. I would like to improve the way the refrigerator is divided among the shelfs inside, even though its roomy but it could use better build up because we need support there.

Bought this French door LG refrigerator in May 2015 model number- LFXS307668. Paid 3200.00 for it. Leaking water on the floor, not cooling, all food ruined. Been through much of what the others have noted. Run around from LG. Told by a certified LG repairman he has received at least 30 calls this week with the same issue- freon leak, compressor, evaporator, etc. Huge cost to repair. Quoted 700.00 for labor only, no warranty after 90 days from repair and it can easily take a month to get parts as they are backlogged. What a money pit! Wish I would have read these reviews before purchasing. NEVER buying an LG product again. There should be a class action law suit against this company. Read somewhere that some Kenmores are made by LG.

LG has one of the best refrigerators that I have ever used and was easy to maintain and clean which is an underrated feature. It was recommended and the sale made it unbeatable. It did everything I needed it to for the price. It was a good reliable refrigerator for the apartment that it was in. Well kept and easy to store and organize food and beverages. The shelving was well done and easy to use, allowed for no clutter while storing a vast amount of food and drinks. The features I liked the most are simply how it was laid out on the inside, perfect amount of shelving and organization abilities. It had quite the capabilities and was just as good as all of the LG products that I had previously used or owned so no disappointment.

I have an LG model LMXC23746D. Not only is the black peeling (happens on the whole suite) but the refrigerator stopped cooling. Noticed water on the door where the icemaker resides. Checked the freezer and food was thawing. Fridge wasnt cold either. LG took my info, scheduled an appointment for repair and it was fixed on March 4th. Here we are not even two months in, and its broken again. Same symptoms. LG set an appointment 2 weeks from now to send someone out. I have food that was spoiled, and now have to live out of a cooler until they arrive to fix it again. So are the replacement parts as bad as the original? Not only do the Black Stainless appliances peel and look horrid, but the appliance doesnt function. How many times will I have to go through this? Ill have to spend another $1-3 thousand for a replacement. Not happy.

I bought LG fridge in Nov. 2014. It was dead by the end of June. Im not sure because the reading temp. at the door is still at 37/-2 degrees. I found out it was not working when all my food are rotten in the bottom freezer and smelly in the fridge. I called customer service on 7/10 who gave 2 repair service phone numbers. I contacted them and both didnt have any opening til next month. I called LG again, they gave me another 2 names. I asked if I can call any service that will offer earliest service. She said no because the service need to be LG authorized. I then called 1 of them. The tech came on 7/12 and found the compressor is ineffective. He charged $100 for trip/diagnose. If I have him repaired the fridge he will deduct this charge into the total labor which is $485.I called the customer service again to see if they can reimburse me for the cost of the compressor so I can buy a new fridge instead of paying that much for repair. They said no and at this time they offer me the flat rate repair of $362 for one-time service 60-day warranty or $485/1 year. I asked them if I can use the tech who diagnosed the problem before, they said no because he is not authorized by LG. Thats such a lie (They give me the referral). I asked why not offer me this at first. He said he didnt know. Anyway, I ordered the $362 repair and they charged up front. A confirmed email was sent and schedule for repair on7/17 between 8-12 pm. I took a day off to wait for them. Nobody showed up nor called. I called customer service. After being on hold for awhile, she said the service tech was behind so he couldnt make it.Being asked what will they do to correct it, she said she will send email to higher department to find another service for me. She didnt offer refund nor feel sorry about the situation. I asked to talk to the manager (direct number was requested). I called only to talk to a rep. again, go through all issues again. He put me on hold for over 20 still no response. After reading all complaints about LG. I found out that all issues lead to one result that LG just tried to drive customer around and postponing the solution. I have tried several times to call the supervisor just to wait for 20+. I tried to live chat, after being transferred to repair service dept., I waited there for 30 nobody responded. I emailed them only to get sorry for your inconvenience, we will take your input to improve our service. No problem was solved. Now I dont know what they plan to do on my repair order. No phone call nor email. I think Im going to call the federal trade and general state attorney to report this issue. My first tech told me that dont be tricked by the long term warranty. LG and Samsung parts are very hard to find and easy to break. This is the worst appliance brand and customer service I have ever seen. Im so upset that I spent that much money to buy this crap for over 2 years. I wonder why they still exist on the market. If I can give 0 star, I would.

Buyer beware. We moved into our new house and discovered the existing french door LG was not cooling. (I see other reviews here mentioning the same cooling issue) It is three years old and no longer cooling. Trying to get this under-warranty refrigerator serviced has been a nightmare. Only registered techs can repair it if you can find someone in your area. It has been two months, three service people and two plus hours on the phone with LG and I have yet to have a service person even begin to work on it. If the next service person who comes (tech number 4 in 3 weeks) tells me that it really isnt this its really that and of course they dont have the part or the order was not written correctly or they just dont show up because they resigned and didnt tell anyone, I will pull my hair out. I advise anyone who is considering this refrigerator to find something else and save yourself the frustration (They should have minus stars on here).

We purchased our LG LFX29945ST refrigerator in June of 2014 and started to have major problems in December with the refrigerator compartment freezing food. We had the temperature set at 45 degrees and it was still 30 degrees inside. Called LG for service and got terrible support. We made several calls, got disconnected/hung up on once. The smart diagnosis showed we opened the refrigerator too much (we have a family of 5 so it gets used a lot). They tried to tell us it wasnt level, but the level showed good. Lucky for us we purchased a warranty via Lowes. Lowes sent a service person out and he would sit on hold for 20-30 minutes to talk with an LG tech. Service replaced the whole inside back panel with the air control doors and thermostats along with the control board. This repair caused the refrigerator to not get cold at all. Tech came back out and was told by LG support it was the wrong control board that the LG tech told him to order. Another week later the new control board comes in and its freezing food again (temp between 28-30 degrees). We been unable to use the refrigerator for over two months. Tried to do a review on the LG website and they denied it. I guess that is how they get such good reviews by rejecting the negative ones. I cant believe that I spent over $2,000 dollars on a refrigerator that I cant use for food. At this point the Technician and I are both very frustrated with LG and still trying to resolve the issue. How can a consumer get a bad appliance replaced?

I placed calls to LG to arrange for my 3 year old refrigerator to have a new compressor installed. I had a local company confirm this was the reason for the breakdown. The first call at the beginning of the year did not ever end up with a response or resolution (someone was supposed to contact me). I waited several months and contacted LG again. The support desk had me upload all of my warranty information to their site through a provided link. Again, I was assured that someone would contact me to arrange this repair within a short period of time. Again, this did not ever occur.Today, almost a year later, I have purchased a new appliance because keeping my food in a cooler for 10 months was not an option. I have posted the fridge for scrap on Kijiji and a local person responded within an hour to remove it from my home. Too bad that LG couldnt have responded as efficiently. A lot of wasted money in both purchase price and time trying to resolve/arrange the warranty. My questions are these. How is it that a manufacturer is not held accountable for failure to provide what they are legally responsible for? What recourse is there when this process fails? At what point does one give up because they have spent hours and hours trying to get the warranty service? Like many Canadians, I am a working individual and dont have endless hours to dedicate to continued follow-up. Appliances are expensive purchases yet there seems to be no process where the companies are made responsible for providing the warranty coverage they espouse. My hope is that this changes in the future.

We purchased a LG TROMM Washer in Jan. 2007 (WM2487h*M) and we should have known better as we had to trade it out within the first few days of purchase because the water was filling up in the drum after the rinse cycle and the symbol FE was displayed. Luckily, Best Buy exchanged it for a new one without hesitation and it was almost as if they had already been down this path before with several customers. Fast forward less than five years later and the same thing has happened. We just spent $640 on repairs including a new water pump, a new water valve and a new memory board for this hunk of junk of a washer. In hindsight we should have just bought a new machine as the warranties had all expired. The guarantee for the new memory board is for two years supposedly, but we have yet to see paperwork from the registered LG repairman. Although he did state that the new memory board was registered with LG. I guess well just need to keep pressing them on this until we see something in writing.

Its amazing theyve named the company LG, it couldnt be the farthest from the truth! The customer service is worst than the product if thats even possible. If you want a product that works, stay away from LG! I bought the washer through Best Buys online service. Best Buys receipts fade after 6 months and are not readable. Best Buy could see the purchase online but couldnt print the order, therefore according to LG, there isnt a valid proof of purchase. While I am very disappointed in the Best Buys ability to print a receipt, at least they were willing to give their contact information and the Best Buy order number so that LG could contact them to validate the purchase. I bought an LG refrigerator from Home Depot in August 2007. It is the freezer on the bottom model. After about two months I noticed dripping in my basement. The ice maker plastic hose had a pin hole right behind the fridge and water was leaking down into the basement and onto the I beam. The whole beam was filled with water. Home Depot came and replaced the plastic hose. Then it leaked under my new laminate flooring and ruined a section of it.I just shut the ice maker and the water to it off. I use old fashioned ice cube trays because I am afraid to have another leak. I also have had to replace the crispers in the refrigerator section twice as the plastic keeps cracking, making the crisper unusable. The new ones dont quite fit and are relatively expensive. I need a new one again. Thats 5 repairs in 6 years. I cant afford new fridge but this one is a piece of junk.

I am having the same problem everyone else is having with their refrigerator. It broke down nearly three weeks ago. I do have a warranty which pays for parts but not repair, however all my food was bad and needed to be thrown away. Had a service man, who was very nice and helpful, who stayed for hours trying to figure out what was wrong. Finally after coming back many times he realized it might be the compressor. Had to order it thru LG which came 5 days later. Now realize I have no refrigerator at this time that works. Couldnt they send it over night delivery? Okay, now service man puts the new compressor in and the next day it worked!! Started getting ice, went to the store to buy food and spent $200. Very happy until today one day later, I wanted to defrost my London broil, which happened to be defrosted already because my refrigerator was broken again. I knew something was up when I had a smell in my kitchen. If there will be a suit against LG I would love to be a part of it. This refrigerator was a lot of money and Im sure everyone else feels this way too! I will never buy an LG product again!!!

Do not waste your money on anything LG. Bought a refrigerator. Within 7 months it stopped working. Sent a tech out. Fixed the problem. Now the refrigerator again is down, 4 years old, compressor went. Lost everything in the refrigerator because no error codes came up on it. Had the compressor, filter dryer and evap. Of course LG knows theres problems with their refrigerators, it been a known problem, but you still have to pay for labor. Well lo and behold. All that replaced and the piece of junk still not working. Will not take a charge. Tech company called LG to deem it unrepairable, now they want them to fix the capillary tubes and replace them. Since they want that repaired, I asked if they were paying for the labor? Of course not. Look into it before purchase. Many Lawsuits over the same issue. Even if the repair is successful 3 months down the road youre fixing it again. Almost a month still no refrigerator and $400 worth of food in the garbage. The customer service reps know its an issue and agree youll be fixing it again and again but their PCP department for the techs still insist on having repair after repair done. Please do research on their products before you purchase. LG stand for Luxurious Garbage. Now Im just bringing them to small claims court. I wouldnt recommend anyone buy an LG product after what my husband & I have been through. We bought the refrigerator in 2007 and have probably had Sears out to work on it at least 12 times. We kept paying for the repair agreement because it became obvious very quickly that it was a LEMON! We have had the motor go out once and lost all the food in it. They have replaced the side of the door with the dispenser on it once...the motherboard 7 times. We lost all the food in it again a few months ago. Today was the third time in three weeks they have come out and arent sure what the problem is. It just stops running and you have to unplug it, wait a few minutes and plug it back in. LG always tells the technician to replace something on it and it never works. Today they said to put on another door & a new power cord. We have stopped storing meat in the freezer because we are afraid the refrigerator will break down again and we will lose it all. We store it in the 30 year old refrigerator in our basement that has never had to be worked on! We paid a lot of money for this refrigerator and could have bought at least one more with all the money we have paid in repair agreements. There should be no question that we should get a new refrigerator. But they dont want to do that because now its old! They spend more money fixing this than they would giving us a replacement. It makes no sense at all! If you are looking for a new refrigerator I suggest you steer clear of LG. I wont own anything again with LG on it!

Microwave had a fire in the fan/exhaust area and spread to the cabinets. It could have spread, had I not turned off the breaker. The wiring to the wall had not electrical issues. The fire clearly started from within the microwave. MODEL# LMV1813SW.

LG will get sued when someone dies from a knob being turned on accidentally
LG will get sued when someone dies from a knob being turned on accidentally. I’m surprised it hasn’t already happened. It happens all the time. Especially when friends/family are over. How could LG think was a good design? Was there no testing? Were they 3 feet tall? Also the burner disc discolor and never clean up. The super burner stains on the silver and you can’t get it clean. Bought this and the microwave you can’t see into without a stool. And it’s still hard to see in. LG, you dropped the ball here, learn from those mistakes. NOT recommended.

I bought an LG top loading washer about two months ago, which worked fine for about a month. Now, more often than not, it goes out of balance with a UE code and, occasionally, the power button will not work. I contacted customer service and was informed that I am out of area for factory service but that they would schedule a local repair service and get back to me. Instead, I got an email telling me how to load a washing machine (Ive only been doing that for about 50 years) and ignoring the power button problem. And the email stated on the bottom that it is not possible to answer one of their emails. Right now, I am thinking about small claims court.

Bought a LG Dryer instead of a Maytag this time and I am so disappointed in myself in doing so. The dryer filter will not completely seat and it has caught clothing on the corner and now looks like I have a little melted corner now also. It has damaged several articles of clothing. I did vacuum it out just in case to no avail. You have but one job and that is to put out a safe and dependable dryer and have failed to do so. For verification my model number is: DLE3170W. S/N: 505KWFNOF771.
