I purchased an LG washer in Sept. ‘09. On June 13, 2013, I attempted to wash a medium size load. But when I went to put the wash into the dryer, the washer was flashing OE. I checked the manual and did as instructed. The drain hose was not bent, pinched or clogged. I clean the filter. Finally had to call for service and was told the motor assembly A/C pump needed replacing. This machine in not 4 years old. Guess thats why the warranty was for only 1 year on all the smaller parts. What kind of company makes such items and can only guarantee the said item for 1 year??? Thank goodness for Worry Free.

We purchased the LG TOMM Washer & Dryer, and the Washer Seal around the door has always smelled moldy and puttered. After numerous complaints we were asked if we ran an empty cycle with Fresh Product or bleach to alleviate the problem. My comment was and is twofold, first why would anyone purchase a energy saving product and need to run an extra load every third or fourth load to clean the machine which is suppose to clean our cloths? Where is the savings with that? Secondly why is everyone having this problem and the Foreign Manufacturer doing nothing? Besides maybe someone in this country still builds a quality product domestically! We are willing to pay the price to support good design engineering and American Built Products. No stars due this product.

I like the looks and the functionality of my LG and why I bought it. I especially like the meat drawer. Its in the middle of the fridge and its a 3-4 inch tall drawer that goes the length of the fridge. No other brand had that. My house is an LG house from phones, TVs to the appliances. No complaints. Life really is Good.

I purchased the LG french door fridge in the summer of 2016. Since then, the compressor stopped functioning after 2 years. I spoke with LG and they were no help and had to pay to service people to figure it out. This past month weve had an awful smell in our kitchen whose source could not be identified. It was only yesterday we figured out it was emanating from the fridge. We checked online for similar complaints and found someone who located it at the back of the fridge. We had to remove the lower panel and clean out these trays filled with thick yellow residue. The trays do not come out so we had to use chopsticks and an entire pack of clothes to clean it out... This is unacceptable to us and we are at a loss as to what to do with this fridge. STAY CLEAR OF THIS FRIDGE!!!

After having an LG washer and drier for a few years the drum bearing went out. We called LG Repair technician. Tech was sent out. Parts had to be ordered. Appointment was made. We were told to confirm via email. We never got confirmation email. Appointment was cancelled and had to again be scheduled. Ive now had to miss 3 days of work to repair bad LG washer. Forgot to mention, washer almost caught on fire due to bad bearing. Thanks for nothing LG. My next washer/drier will not be an LG. Next stop BBB complaint.

I have a top of the line LG refrigerator french doors. Its warranty ran out in November and in January my ice maker broke. 5 months later, 9 parts later and umpteen phone calls, no resolve. I have never experienced such poor service on an appliance as I have this. The service man has been out 5 times. Nice man but speaks very little English - so not sure what he is saying. I am so disgusted with LG. I am putting refrig on Craigslist - best offer and going to go buy a real refrig that offers good service. There are so many choices out there. Do yourself a favor read the many complaints about LG refrigerators and buy yourself another brand. I will never buy anything from LG again.

My first unit came with a manufacturing defect where the housing unit inside the fridge housing. The styrofoam kept coming apart and wouldnt stay put. LG and Lowes recommended that I just exchange it for a new product. Besides that one manufacturing defect, the unit worked fine; it was quiet and efficient. Now, after a week the second and replacement unit was delivered. Oh boy, LG has some major issues they need to fix. First, the unit comes without one shelf on the freezer side. This was remedied by them saying they would send one out to us. Second, this fridge is much louder than the first unit we received. It makes a constant humming noise, which is quiet and we wouldnt have thought much of it, but we had experiences with our first defective unit to compare it to. Heres the kicker though. Occasionally, the fridge will start rattling. Its not too abhorrent, but when we open the fridge, the shelves will make a vibrating noise that gets amplified. I contacted LG support again to ask how to remedy this because we werent sure if it was a leveling issue or something else. The agent that I was connected to just tells me to unplug it and plug it back in, and adds that if it isnt resolved we would need service for a fridge that we had just received. To top it all off, the serial number matches a fridge that was made in April 2020. How terrible does your quality control procedure have to be for this to happen? Im 0/2 in receiving a brand new perfect product. I went with LG because people said they improved (partially because of my Korean bias), but man stay away. Currently debating if I should ask Lowes to replace the unit or if I should go with a completely different refrigerator. Terrible. Just terrible.

LSG4513ST.BSTELGA / Range danger for burn/natural gas leaking. This range has had issues since day one. Serviced one time by LG tech who said; Ive replaced the components with the updated parts; but that wont fix the problem. We the owners and guests have accidentally turned burners on and burned ourselves. An even bigger, more dangerous problem is the burners being on enough to leak gas and not light; or when on low; the flame will go out and continue to fill the home with natural gas until you notice. After several months of trying and finding out the LG factory repair person in the area; no longer works for LG; we have an appointment scheduled with an authorized service company. I would rather just have it replaced and preferably before a serious injury, fire or explosion takes place!

On 3/5/16 while cooking a potato in my microwave, the unit started on fire. The microwave shut off and I needed to wait for the fire to burn out before opening the door. It was obvious the unit was irreparable. I contacted LG Customer Service in 3/7/16. At first, they tried to tell me I was to blame. Misuse of an appliance because I placed the potato on a paper towel. The manual states a paper towel, paper napkin, paper plate are ALL acceptable. The CSR refused to believe me until she read it herself. Finally, she agreed I was NOT at fault and told me someone would be in touch with me within the next 10 business days. I uploaded photos of the damage as requested. 10 days later a rep from LG Property and Liability contacted me. Please upload more photos, which I did. Was there any other damage? No. Any loss of life due to the fire? No. Okay, well theres nothing I can do. Youll have to go back to Customer Service. Now Im back to where I started again facing questions about misuse because of the paper towel. I was advised I would need to pay for an LG technician to come to my house to determine if it was repairable or a total loss. I didnt think I should be expected to pay for the technician since I already knew its a total loss and the photos support that. I asked for a manager. Theresa got on the line and told me the same thing except she said I would need the microwave receipt to show the technician. I explained this microwave along with a refrigerator and stove were purchased by the former homeowner just prior to my purchasing the home 3 years ago, so I did not have the receipt. Well, there is NOTHING I can do for you. Youre not the original owner. So after their appliance starts a fire, and 3 weeks of answering their questions, uploading photos, waiting for their assistance, I was advised Im on my own. They will do nothing for me.

Bought my LG REFRIGERATOR on November 18th, 2015. Right away it had a noise coming from it. The first of December 2018, woke up to a puddle of water in front of the refrigerator. Opened the door and the freezer was warm. Called LG, they sent a technician out, he had to replace the compressor and the circuit board, waited 1 week for parts to come in. Technician came and replace the parts. 2 days later, something happened AGAIN, waiting for another week for him to come out (because he was busy doing other repairs), he added Freon, that lasted for 2 days, then the day before Christmas eve 2018, he came out and put more Freon in it. The Technician CANT FIND THE PROBLEM. Now, its December 29th 2018, still not fixed. We been on the phone with LG for the last 4 weeks. All they keep saying is that they will send the repair guy out. Now mind you, I had to throw out over 500.00 worth of food in the beginning. They are going to refund us a check for 150.00 and the Technician already got paid for the job, 250.00. Hes been out 3 times so far, each time for at least 4-5 each time. All LG WANTS TO IS KEEP TRYING TO FIX IT. It seems to me with all of these problems that all of us consumers are having, that they would just replace them... Im still without a refrigerator and have 2 little kids. THEY DONT CARE. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER LG REFRIGERATOR. FROM NORTHEAST OHIO.

Thirteen days after the manufacturers warranty expired, this microwave quit working mid cycle. This happened in the evening, but I was still able to get a customer service rep on the phone. They suggested that I call back during the day and ask for a manager and that since it was so close to the warranty that they would most likely pay for a repair. Not the case. In fact its the complete opposite. The morning service rep would not even send me over to a manager but insisted on telling me that small purchases dont matter to them. If it were a refrigerator or TV, they would consider it, but not a counter top microwave. So if youre looking to spend money and have a microwave break in a year’s time, this piece is for you! I will never buy anything LG again solely based on this experience with their customer service, quality of product, etc.

LG LFX31925SW Refrigerator - We purchased the 31 Cu FT French Door LG refrigerator a year and a half ago. It is a wonderful refrigerator as far as capacity and how it functions on the inside. Not the most streamlined looking from the outside. And it hums all the time, not sure what part is doing that enough to wake me up at night. I recently pulled out the gliding drawer and to my dismay, the back wall of the refrigerator is cracked. Who would have thought the inside wall of the refrigerator would be compromised and cracked. Calling LG service center was a waste of time. Not only did they only quote the one year parts and labor (not sure on what) and the 7 yrs sealed system (whatever that covers?) and 10 years on the compressor (seems to hum every night). They read a script and have no other answers, always seems to be someone you cannot understand what they are saying and they can hardly speak English. When I mentioned I believed it was delivered in that condition, they said NO it was empty when delivered to imply I lied. Well no, the delivery folks set it up. I had to do nothing. So the repair company tells me to tape it, there is no way to repair it and no warranty. Really, no warranty on the structure of the unit. I call it cheap and wont buy another LG product ever. I feel blessed after reading the nightmares of other customers and with all their problems with defective parts and getting no results. My question is what has happened to products in America. There is no quality left.

Purchased a home with an LG fridge in it. We have had LG out 5-6 times in the last 13 months. The fridge continues to malfunction, and we have lost hundreds of dollars in spoiled food multiple times. Memorial Day weekend was the 4th. They are out again today, would like to refund or replace the fridge but cannot do so without a purchase receipt. The service technicians have been great, but we do not have the receipt and they cannot submit for reimbursement. Any suggestions here would be appreciated.

I have contacted the warranty department several times letting them know it has broke again and again, they tell me its a different problem because of what their people wrote on their end. Let me start by saying that their linear compressor is garbage and warrantied for 10 years after purchase date! I purchased my refrigerator in April of 2012. July 26, 2017 refrigerator stopping cooling. The compressor has died after 4 years and their approved service technicians have yet to get a compressor to run in my refrigerator. 1st company has come out 4 times to install the said compressor. I paid $350 to get it serviced to no avail. Not once has the compressor been operational after 20 minutes. It shuts done as the technician drive away. 1st company said it is junk and is all done. The 2nd company that came out that LG sent. Said the compressor needs to be replaced, he cant do it because he said, he wasnt certified. So we waited an extra week so a certified tech was to come out (today Sept 6, 2017, the date they stated) we called and they are not coming, stating that the refrigerator was junk. LGs response was that they provided the part and that’s it. I guess it doesnt need to be operational. Ive been without a refrigerator for over 6 weeks, thinking and waiting for that customer support that does not exist with LG. LG people were more than rude and unhelpful with every call. Buyer beware LG doesnt back their warranty. LG gave us a case number and made us think they would have help in some way but today’s response was priceless. They are done because they provided the part. Make the part operational. They should back their products and not get away with taking advantage of consumers. They (LG) should be acceptable!! $3000 plus $350 repair, down the drain!!

LG WT4870C Top Load Washer - I would like to give this washer zero stars. It has to be the worst washing machine I have ever owned. The cleaning process takes much longer than the timer indicates. The clothing is not clean. I still have underarm stains, pet hairs, make-up on my clothing after a wash. The IE error comes on after each and every wash making the process longer as I have to reset it to Spin Only in order to get the clothing wrung out. I will never buy this type of non agitating agitator machine again. I wish I could get my money back but I waited too long. I hated it after the first week. I am going back to a front load washer and not an LG ever again.

Our refrigerator starting beeping every 30 seconds. We checked all the troubleshooting suggestions from leveling, moving around the food, buying thermostats, to making sure the doors were closed. We figured out the beeping was the freezer section. We called LG who immediately said the sensor was bad and that the part was covered but the labor will not be. It seems that this is a known problem. Im just wondering why, if its a known defect... why isnt it covered. I havent had the refrigerator for 7 years yet so it should be covered. Right?!?! We corrected the problem by taping down the switch that turns on the light in the freezer section. Last night, 4:32 am, the other section started beeping. It beeps for every 30 seconds for about 20 minutes and then stops for a few hours. Id rather not be able to see in my refrigerator than spend hundreds for repair. The temps are fine. Purchased a LG front load washing machine that has been leaking water for the past 4 months. Machine is still under warranty: 3 different service technicians visited home over 5 times and have been unable to repair the machine. The technicians initially claimed we were using too much detergent, till the last technician found a crack in the discharge hose and replaced it. Unfortunately, that wasnt the only problem as the machine is still leaking, but now worse than before. And now the leak is so bad, it resulted in water damage to our new construction home. Not only that, but the once quiet machine now sounds worse than before and the technician scratched up our unit.I informed LG again but still no result. From the very beginning, I pleaded with them to send a different service company to our home, but LG refused. I talked to customer service reps and even folks in their executive services department to no avail. After the first few visits, I began to ask for LG to replace the unit, again LG refused. After the leak caused water damage, I asked again for LG to replace the unit, but again LG refused. The machine is still under warranty, the service technicians have been unable to repair the unit, but LG still refuses to replace it even though the terms of the warranty indicate that replacement is an option.

I have had less than acceptable experiences with this fridge since we purchased it Feb. 27, 2012 from Home Depot. Soon after our purchase, it started making really loud grinding and lawn mower noises. They would last for a week, and then stop. At first, we thought it may be normal, but as the problem persisted, I called to have someone help me understand what was happening. They said it was buildup of frost, and explained what to do. Long story short, it kept happening, and finally our freezer drawer stopped suctioning. Someone came out, and everything seemed to be ok, and now it is happening again. Freezer door is not closing on its own and soon we will have the same problem. I called LG they want almost $400 to send someone out! Last time I had to send my receipt, the printed order from Home Depot and had several case numbers just to get it repaired. We have a fridge in our garage that is 20 years old and it works perfectly fine, but has rust on the doors and shows its age - which is why we bought a new product, supposedly better, but very disappointing. I will not purchase another LG fridge again.

We purchased our refrigerator in November of 2015. Customer no service is worse than terrible. Our refrigerator broke down in August of 2019. It is now February 2020. We have had a working refrigerator for 3 days. Since then repair is a nightmare. Only comes on their schedule (A&E) and only when they want. If you ask to speak to management they hang up on you or put you thru transferring you to all incorrect departments. When they hang up on you they block your number so you cannot call back. The 4th person that came out said the parts he was installing looked used. Gosh wonder why they didnt work. Last person out said defect in refrigerator design was the problem even if they order parts will not work. He called LG. They are sending parts to repair defective refrigerator. LG model #lmxs30776s.

Our Lg electric range knobs Model number LTE4815BD are on the front of the range and if you barely bump or brush by them they turn on. We’ve had pizza boxes burn, our wooden oven top cover and other items. My son is scared to death (he is a firefighter) and said this range is going to burn our house down. We literally can have nothing on top because if there is it will catch on fire with the slightest bump of the knob.

LG front load washer (WM0642HW) - The washer vibrates horribly when in the spin cycles! Our whole house shakes! You can hear the vibration outside the home! The floor vibrates when washer is in spin cycle! We have bought several different kinds/brands of shock-absorbers and installed them under each leg of the washer. Still no help! This is obviously a manufacturing defect. We called LG and they sent a certified LG appliance repair man to our home. All he would tell us was: LG makes a great product and use less than half the recommended amount of detergent to control the ‘smell’.” This is my second contact to you. Do you have other complaints against LG for this same problem? LG should replace my unit. I am willing to trade down just to get rid of this vibration! I have matching dryer. Together, these appliances were $1900.00!

This is the worst appliance purchase I have made. Most loads show as unbalanced to which the washer responds by refilling the tub with water. It is almost impossible to meet the machines balance requirements. The constant refilling makes the machine a little less than high efficiency. The companys position that you need to wash things of similar weight in a load is ridiculous. I would have to wait until every piece of clothing I own needed washing before I could meet that requirement. A typical load takes 2+ hours to complete which includes multiple attempts to rebalance the clothes. I would recommend that you look elsewhere. I cannot fathom why there are so many positive reviews for this giant POS. (Model WT1101CW)

On December 8, 2011, I purchased an LG refrigerator (GRB652YLS). At the level of the refrigerator exposed showroom appears straight, very stable, no problems. When I received my home in Debal, on the floor it was my surprise: the refrigerator is very tilted back. It is not perpendicular to the ground. I have a very flat ground. At the store I bought and even at the direction of Algiers, I was told that their refrigerators are celquand; as you open the door it should be maintained with a chair to get out food or the reverse. It is equipped with front feet but no use. LG should withdraw these feet to save on the cost price of the product. I am not satisfied.

LG Electric Range- LRE30453ST. After using the self-cleaning feature in the oven, I noticed the interior looked as if it had been chipped or scratched. I then found pieces of the enamel on the oven floor. I called LG to complain. They asked me to send them pictures of the oven. After emailing them the pictures, they came back, said that it was out of warranty and I did not purchase an extended warranty. Their conclusion was that the chipping was caused by owner neglect. I was fuming since I did not do anything to cause this. I only used the self-cleaner. I asked to speak to someone in a higher position and was told that they were the highest I could go. I preceded to inform them that I would not take that as an answer. I still have the pieces of enamel that came off. I told them that I would be contacting the Better Business Bureau and anyone else I knew to report this and they told me, to go ahead.Im stuck with an appliance that I wonder whether it is safe or not. I have a 10-year old stove whose oven looks 100 times better than this one. Unfortunately, I purchased a LG refrigerator and dish washer to match. I have been dissatisfied with dishwasher since day one, a hard pill to swallow.

We bought our LG range from American in 2008, and just months after, the knobs began to pucker and wrinkle. American had gone out of business by then, so we called LG. They said $60+ each for replacements - there are 5 knobs. We decided to live with it until we could find something quality and less expensive, which we havent. Now the chrome-colored wrap is peeling off to reveal a plastic knob...and the High-Medium-Low is on the wrap! The range has otherwise been fine, but cheap knobs will cause us to seek another range.

This last time, it worked for 2 months so I have to call again. I trust my repairman (who hates LG btw). The cheap plastic parts they put in just keep breaking. For the money I spent on it, it should last longer than this.

Im not typically a person who takes the time to write reviews, but felt it was necessary to at least call out the so many wrongs with this product and the service that follows... IN CASE IT HAPPENS TO YOU. I read the reviews and saw some of the complaints about frost build up and thought, eh it wont happen to me... WRONG. Not only was I wrong, but during COVID-19, sending a tech inside your home to fix a problem with a fridge that is LGs poor quality performance is frustrating enough, BUT having that same problem occur again 24 hours later - NOT ACCEPTABLE. LGs only recommendation is to send a tech out again. HOME DEPOT is not held blameless in this either. Instead of standing by their customer and offering an exchange/refund, they explain that its an LG problem, not Home Depot. AWFUL. A day after the frost build up still hadnt been fixed, a grinding noise began, the plastic that divides the two doors broke off, and the error message showed up and wouldnt reset. To this day I have an error message on my fridge, a loud grinding noise and a frost build up freezer that doesnt work. My food goes bad earlier and earlier each week. LG said all they can do is send a tech out. I have a son with an autoimmune disease. I refuse to have more techs come to the house during this pandemic. LG has zero understanding of peoples rights and needs during this time. The answer is lets send a technician out on a work day to work on the same exact problem that they never fixed in the first place!! This is just a snippet of the issues, not to mention, their customer service EXECUTIVE lead member hanging up on me after I waited over an hour due to call volume. RUDE! Nightmare purchase, poor quality fridge that breaks down a month after you buy it... The worst customer service for both Home Depot and LG.

We purchased all new appliances including a stainless LG Refrigerator (LSC22991ST/001) from Home Depot. The first year of use had a problem with the inside of the full back panel of the refrigerator being packed with ice behind the panel even though there was no error message on the display, thus not allowing water to flow with the defrost problems. Repair service was performed. A year later, the same thing happened with ice packed and bulging inward behind the back panel of the refrigerator with an error message dh f. LG basically said too bad, no warranty, none of the problem was covered by them. The repairman was called locally, who had done the first repair; however, he was no longer on LGs service list for the area because he refused to work with them due to low pay, problems with getting parts, etc. On April 16, 2018 he ordered the parts for the error message from LG. Meanwhile, we were out-of-town and came back to a refrigerator of food that had thawed and needed to be thrown out -- hundreds of dollars. The parts that had been ordered on April 16, 2018 came in a full 7 weeks later (almost 8) and were replaced on June 5, 2018. LG refuses to take any responsibility for this problem. Their attitude is terrible when it comes to customer service. The refrigerator that cost more than $2400 on sale has only been used 2 years and has had the two same problems. It is terrible that LG knows these problems will come up due to poor manufacturing and if the consumer doesnt buy the extended warranty it is obvious that they know they will make their money by charging for parts. The repairman indicated that there are lots of other customers with the same problems -- he repairs them and knows! Sick! Very upset, and there doesnt appear to be any concern from LG.

LG is by far the worst refrigerator you can buy. It failed in 4 years due to a badly designed linear compressor. LG didnt ship the correct parts. They outsource it all to A and E appliance who is also an incompetent company whos scheduling is so bad its been two weeks and I still dont have a working refrigerator. They dont care at all. I cant even express the hoops I have jumped through and hours of talking on the phone that I have had to endure. I was holding on out of principle but the refrigerator is now heading to the landfill. I cant waste my time anymore. Not only will I be actively discouraging anyone to purchase a LG refrigerator but also doing any form of business with the company.

Our dryer failed during a run, and would not power back on. I checked the circuit breaker and the plug, and unable to restart the unit, I placed a service request with LG. Over the past month I have experienced nothing but frustration and disappointment from LG customer service. I have been given inaccurate information, been repeatedly told to expect a call back or email about service status, but the only communication I have had with LG is when I have initiated contact. Please note that because I have two children, one of whom is still out of school because of the pandemic, the only times I can call when the 800 number is operating is on W and F when I am commuting to/from onsite days at my job. Below is a detailed timeline of my experience:Th 4/15. Dryer breaks during run. Test fuse, power line, reset per manufacturer’s instructions. Fr 4/16. Submit ticket through LG website describing problem. Sa 4/17. Receive email response from website instructing me to do the troubleshooting I had already completed prior to submitting ticket to website. Call LG 800 number to request repair. Told that I would hear back within 24-48h about getting an LG service technician. Tu 4/20. Call LG because I received no call back. Am informed that they could not find a local technician, and my request was being escalated to the regional services team. Fr 4/23. Call LG for a status update. Rep informs me that they have 5 business days to find local authorized technician, but that if they cannot within 5 days, I can get a replacement authorization. W 4/28. Call LG again, to request replacement authorization. Am told I need to wait an additional 48h for update.F 4/30. Call for status update. Rep tells me that information I received on 4/23 about replacement is incorrect, and that regional services is still looking for repair. Request transfer to executive services. Call gets cutoff partway through. Attempt to call back, but service line is closed for the day. Particularly disappointed that the executive services person I was speaking with did not call me back, because the first thing he asked for was my phone number, in case we got disconnected.W 5/5. Call LG; request immediate transfer to executive services. Rep curtly informs me that they have hundreds of thousands of technicians, just none in our area. Furthermore, that LG has 30 days from my initial call to locate repair services, so I am not yet entitled to a replacement dryer. However, she does provide me with contact info for an authorized service provider in American Canyon. I contact said service provider, Linet Electronics. Technician at Linet tells me that yes, they do service our model of dryer, and they do service our town (35 miles away), and yes he does have availability. He advises against booking him directly for warranty repairs, because then I will need to work request reimbursement from LG for the repair.W 5/12. Call LG; request they contract with Linet Electronics to service our dryer. I provide phone number, but the rep insists that I need to provide email and postal address, too. They should have this information, since I got the phone number from their authorized service system, which is infuriating. I call back once I have the email and post address. The new rep calls Linet, but Linet wants an extra $225 to do the service call, and so LG will not authorize service (this strikes me as absurd, since replacing the unit outright, or providing me a refund, will undoubtedly cost more than the service call with a surcharge). I am told that regional service has 2 chances to find someone in our area before we qualify for replacement, but apparently hasn’t done anything since my first escalation on 4/20 (15 business days ago). Rep promises that I will get a call back within 24-48h about warranty replacement. I tell him I am highly doubtful about that, since I have not received any updates, by phone or email, at any point so far. That my only contact with LG has been contact that I initiated. Th 5/13. Much to my surprise, Jacob, the rep I spoke with on 5/12, calls me back to let me know there has been no action on my replacement request yet. He promises to call me back in 24h. F 5/14. No call back from Jacob. Monday will be 30 days since my dryer broke. I will call LG and demand they send a replacement dryer, though I am not confident they will honor their warranty obligations at this point.

If I could give this washer 0 stars out of 5 I would. I bought the washer in January of 2018. I used it for about 2 weeks when it started banging and sounded like it was going to come through the floor. I called LG and they sent out a service tech to come look at it. The balance bar was broken and numerous other parts had to be replaced, and of course one was on back order. We finally got it fixed after almost 3 weeks of it being broken. Now we are in April of 2018. The washer starts to shake again & make the same noises as before, only this time I have leaking all over my floor. I call LG again to see what can be done. I talked to 3 different people, was on hold for almost 2 hours, the last person being a manager who was rude, and very unhelpful. I ended up scheduling another person to come out to diagnose the washer, of course a week and a half out. The technician comes to diagnose the washer on a Monday, I dont hear anything back from them and on Wednesday I get a text from LG saying I have a repair order for yet ANOTHER appliance repair company. I call to see what is going on and LG states that the first appliance company said the job was too big for them and their company is not able to do it (this was a company that LG hired). They hired another appliance company and again, they are more than a week out with scheduling. After talking again to LG they are not scheduled to come FIX it, but to diagnose it. This is after I talked to the first appliance repair company and having them tell me that the washer needs to be completely rebuilt and that the LG engineering department told them that there is over $500 worth of just parts. At the end of my phone call I asked to speak with someone higher up, and they stated someone would call me in 24 to 48 hours, and of course 24-48 hours later, no phone call. I am BEYOND frustrated with LG. I have been without a washer for longer than I have actually used mine. I would NEVER buy this washer again, let alone another appliance from LG. Their customer service is terrible and it has been a highly disappointing experience dealing with LG.

I am writing to complain about the product quality of our appliances. We have had all of our appliances for less than 2 years (refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, microwave) and in those 2 years we have had 3 significant issues. The dishwasher was repaired a few months ago because of a major mechanical problem causing the buttons to glitch. Our oven reeks like gasoline every time it is turned on (service request entered to be told it is out of warranty. Cannot be fixed without a $125 fee) And most recently - our brand new microwave just STOPPED working today out of nowhere. It won’t power on even though there is power to the outlet. I was told we had to pay for a service request with no guarantee on product replacement and out of pocket cost. We can’t do that again, and will be forced to buy a new microwave (not LG).The quality of our appliances is completely unacceptable. We bought new appliances and were excited to have them as part of our first home, and their quality and function have been extremely disappointing and unreliable. There is absolutely zero reason why an appliance that costs thousands of dollars should fail like these have. To add, the warranty is outdated and a sham. To give people a year warranty on crappy devices is unfair and not right. They break right outside of the warranty, forcing customers to spend hundreds on parts and labor to repairmen. I will never ever buy another LG product and will make sure I tell my friends and family the same.

In May of 2009, I renovated my kitchen and bought two new appliances - an over the range microwave and a dishwasher, both LG products.Last week, on February 8, 2012, the microwave stopped heating. I called the company and after describing what happened was told that the magnetron went out. Since this is my second home, this microwave hasnt been used more than 100 times from the date of installation and I felt they should take responsibility for the repairs. I was told that the magnetron is covered but the labor is not. Then they told me to call a certain company to have it fixed. The service company said that they will order the part and when the part arrives, they will call me to have it installed. They refused to give me an estimate for the cost of labor. Eventually, after several calls, I was told it is around $220! At this point, I sent two emails to the LG company and as of today, February 15, 2012 got no reply. My other appliance, the LDF9810ST dishwasher, simply does not wash. I wash everything before putting it in and, again I wash and dry some dishes after the 3-hour cycle is done. Also, the plastic baskets are falling down or do not slide back. It is the worst dishwasher I have ever came across. When I told them about this problem I was told, Oops! You bought a floor model, and because of it ,we cant help you at all!At this point, I am angry, and I feel used and abused by a company that makes such bad products and cares so little for the customers. What a self-centered motto on their website, Life is Good! Whos life?I will never buy another LG product again and I will advise all my family, relatives and friends to not buy LG products either.

I bought LG 26Cuft Wifi French Door refrigerator (model LFXS26973D/01; SN 909KRAT00680) from Costco on Nov 12, 2019. It was 2-year warranty. Unfortunately, I am only 2 months late and both Costco and LG washed their hands from any manufacturing defect. The water filter that needs to be changed every 6-month does not work anymore even with LG brand filters LT1000 or LT1000P/PC/PCS (ADQ747935). I bought a new LG filter head (AKN729490003) and even it does not work. Calling Costco and LG has no help because only 2 months more than 2-year warranty. I tried a professional appliance for help, even they could not help. I am sure it is manufacturing defect and there is no recall. This means I have to trash this LG refrigerator just in 2-year. I would not recommend anyone to buy LG refrigerator and get frustrated like me.

I purchased an LG refrigerator on 5/19/13, model # LFX3194ST, and purchased the 4-year warranty. On 8/14/15 the freezer and then the fridge began to thaw and re-freeze. I called the warranty service and had an appointment scheduled for 8/18/15 between 8-12. The repair technician showed up at 1:30, and after doing diagnostics, said I needed a new compressor (on a refrigerator 2 years old). He ordered the compressor and said it would be delivered on 8/19/15 (and I am sure it is likely a refurbished compressor), and it did arrive, and is still sitting on a bench where I left it in boxes. The technician, Hugo **, then scheduled a 12-4 appointment to replace the compressor on 8/20/15. On 8/20/15, Hugo called at 3:30, and said he had an emergency and needed to reschedule. He rescheduled with me to arrive between 11-12 on 8/21/15. At 2:00 pm on 8/21/15, I called him, and he said he would be over in about one hour. I called him again at 3:15 pm, and he again said it would be about an hour. I had an emergency of my own arise, and called to see where he was at around 4:15 pm, and he said he could be by in 15-20 minutes. I asked if he could wait and come at 5:00. He agreed, but said the visit would take 2-3 hours, which I find to be a long estimate of time when the part is already available. He was angling to reschedule, so I asked when he could. He said he could be over the next morning at 9:00 am, so I decided to allow the reschedule. He never showed or called.I called the warranty department through Lowes to complain. I was told I needed to deal with this technician and take a slot on Monday from 8-12, or I could start over with a new company. They also said the company that was supposed to come has one technician, Hugo, and that he does not work on the weekend, so the warranty rep said, he lied. The next appointment for another company (only other company offered) was 8/28/15. If I started with a new company, the compressor at my home could not be used. So my choice is to take the appointment (like I really believe he will show) or start over. I did work out that I could call another company, but I would also need to start over and bill Lowes. I was also told I could get a rental refrigerator and bill Lowes. Highly doubt I would ever see the $, and the hassle factor would be very high. They have you coming and going.I will NEVER buy anything LG again, and will likely never shop at Lowes again. This warranty is sold by Lowes and they should be bending over backwards at this point due to their poor choice of vendors. No bending noted, so no future business from me. Steer clear of LG and Lowes as far as I am concerned. I included the warranty program # below.

Bought my house 1.5 ago and brand new appliances came with it including the LG refrigerator. Don’t get me wrong I LOVED this fridge at first, however December 31st my compressor went out. Called LG the next day they said a tech in the area would call us to schedule a diagnosis. Took the techs three days to call us. I won’t hold that against them because it was the holidays however the earliest they will be out here to diagnose my fridge is the 14th. That is TWO weeks without a working fridge and this is just to diagnose it.When I called customer service again I found out the technician may not even have the part to fix the fridge when he is here!!! To top it off local people where I live will not touch LG products because of a lawsuit going on with the compressor and the hassle it is to be paid and receive the parts from LG. Even if I could find a local appliance tech to fix it it will still take LG a week to provide them with a letter of approval! So it puts me right back at two weeks or possibly more without any means to cool my perishable items unless I buy a ton of coolers and ice or a mini fridge which still would not fit all of my items. If I could give LG less than a star I would. Poor products and absolutely no care for their customers. The next appliances I buy will be anything but an LG.

I went to Best Buy, and I liked the LG refrigerator so I purchased it. The quality is very bad though, and I’m dealing with them for long time. It has an issue for more than three months and still they didn’t resolve the problem. For three times, they told me they’re gonna give me a replacement. They said they needed a proof of purchase and all this stuff, which I gave them three times, but still, they didn’t resolve the issue. I’m not gonna buy LG products ever in my life again for sure. And I will put my reviews about my experience on all the sites. Go with something else.

We purchased a Refrigerator 3 years ago $1500 as a wedding gift for our daughter. It stopped working 2 weeks ago and we have been on the phone with LGs customer service for 2 weeks with no help. They say they escalated it but cant find a company to come service us. We called and found a company who is LG approved 30 miles away and they said they can come service it but that they did not get a request from LG. I have been on the phone today for an hour and half and they will not let me talk to anyone. They also said they dont know who they sent the service request to. But said they have escalated it AGAIN. My daughter has a 1 year old that needs milk and food. My daughter also has a blood disorder and has to keep 3-shots on hand at all times in her refrigerator for emergencies. They each cost $500! We will never purchase anything from LG again. This is the worst customer service I have ever dealt with.

Both this product and customer service were awful. Bought fridge brand new, and the Ice machine never worked. Customer service sent two different technicians with over 5 different parts plus a new fridge door, in a span of five service calls and could not fix the problem. After the hassle of trying to get a replacement, they denied it to me and are just reimbursing me the money, not taking into consideration that I paid on a credit card, accumulated interest AND had paid extra for installment. Both this product and LG were of very poor quality. NEVER using their services or products again.

In June of 2014 I bought a new French door LG fridge ($2199) for our new home from Sears Canada. From the minute it was plugged in it squealed randomly and has a constant humming/vibrating noise that is well above just annoying. As a point of reference, we have an almost identical LG at the cottage and it is basically noise free. I have been quite patient about getting the noise corrected as it seems to function well except for how noisy it is. The authorized LG repair tech was there today for the second time and had the gall to tell me it seems not bad, I asked him to leave and go have another drink as the alcohol coming off him would serve a college fraternity well.Almost one year later I still have an annoying buzz coming from my new LG refrigerator and zero satisfaction in getting this remedied. At this point I fully expect LG to delay this until the one year warranty is up and say sorry, nothing we can do. Fortunately, I have lawyers in my family and this matter is far from over. As many others have said, THIS WILL BE MY LAST LG PRODUCT regardless of the ultimate outcome. There is no need in this day and age to put up with this level of customer service.

We purchased a new LG refrigerator when we purchased our home in 2017. We had renovations going on and our right hand door was damaged/dented by a contractor. The contractor offered to replace the door so I contacted an LG recommend appliance parts and service place to replace the door. A week later they returned with a substitute that did not work so they said they would be back a couple of weeks when the correct door came in, that was October 2018 and I have been waiting ever since. All my phone calls to the appliance repair people end with them saying it still has not come in, it’s on backorder. At one point I called LG who confirmed the door is on backorder! Seriously it has been almost a year. Of course I had to pay the appliance repair person for the house call even though I told them the door needed to be replaced due to dents but they said that money would go towards the new door. At this point I am not sure I am going to get a new door. Had I realized we would receive such poor customer service I never would have gone with LG, we also purchased a 65” LG TV, and washer and dryer. I hope LG will help us with our dilemma.

I bought an LG French door refrigerator 3 years ago and I wish I would have seen these reviews back then. Please DO NOT purchase an LG refrigerator! Listen to the people who wrote the bad reviews and do your homework. We all have the same reoccurring problem. The compressors fail by the most 3 years. Mine failed after 3 years and then again after 2 months. Twice in two months I lost my food. The first time in January of 2020 and then again in April 2020. They compensated me the first time for food loss but the second time they denied me because they said 12 months have to go by before they can compensate me again. Whoever thought this would happen again within 2 months. This time I lost more food cause I made sure I had enough food to last me for 3 weeks since we are in quarantine. It is very stressful during these times to try to stay safe while shopping. I had to wait one week for a repair man to come and worry about us staying safe and distant when he was repairing. I lost all my food and had to purchase a limit amount of food to fit in my cooler with ice. This imposed a tremendous inconvenience since I had to shop at least three times that week. I called customer service and all they could say was sorry about that maam. Are they really sorry? This was not my fault but a product failure and they should be responsible to accommodate their customers with their needs. I paid $4,000 for this fridge and I did not expect this to happen so soon. This must happen quite often so they implemented a rule about compensating after twelve months. Be careful. Life is not all Good with LG.

I realize this is petty but my washer and dryer are in an open area in the utility room which you walk through to get to the kitchen from the garage and the scratches are on display.

My problem with this machine, is that Ive never seen a wash machine take so long to wash a load of clothes! If I use the Speedwash feature, which is supposed to be a 35-minute cycle, it will take nearly two hours to wash the clothes. Loads that I know should take longer, like extended soak cycles, stain removal cycles, extra rinse or extended spin cycles, extend the wash cycles into hours and hours. Im dissatisfied with this purchase and I have seen so many complaints that I know I wont get the matter resolved to my satisfaction. I remember when this company went under the brand of GoldStar. I didnt like the look of their appliances back then and they were known as cheap. They must have found a company to re-market and re-brand them, with great looking outside features, but the same crappy inside components.

I bought a new washer dryer set from Home Depot 70 days ago (a little over 2 months). The bulb in the dryer wasnt working, ignored it for a while then decided to call LG service to have it fixed. It was a buck but what the heck, its a new dryer everything should work right. LG says the bulb isnt covered by warranty and that I can purchase it from them. WHAT? A brand new Washer Dryer for $1800 has a $1 busted bulb which they claims isnt covered under warranty. I ask why not and the answer I get is that the bulb is a consumable. A consumable, like a detergent or lint paper? To get to this bulb I have to unhinge the door, unscrew the cover inside the dryer and then replace. I thought consumables are something you use all the time, not have to open a screw and unhinge stuff to get to. So essentially they expect bulbs (and I wonder what else? belts? heating element? motor?) to keep failing in their dryer and they get away by saying its a consumable. LG has the WORST customer service ever and NEVER believe their warranty. BTW it took me 8 tries to get someone to Review the case thats 2 hours of effort to get someone to review an active warranty. Would you ever want to spend $1800 and be told the warranty is useless?

This last fridge, LG would only cover the pro rated portion remaining, so the warranty company covered the difference. And I had to pay another $500- for another 5 year warranty. Ive read so many negative reviews about LG refrigerators not working that this seems superfluous but I need to vent. We purchased a side-by-side refrigerator/freezer 3 years ago during a kitchen remodel. It is a counter-depth with water and ice in the door. About 6 weeks ago, the refrigerator stopped cooling. We put a thermometer inside and the temperature was 57 degrees. We contacted our retailer, Abt, who immediately sent out a tech person and determined, with the assistance of LG tech, that the freezer fan wasnt working. The part was ordered, new fan installed, and the refrigerator temperature remained at 57 degrees. We called Abt again, tech came out and again, with the help of the LG tech, determined it was now the refrigerator fan. Part ordered, part replaced, temp still 57. Abt ordered a new control board, at the suggestion of LG tech, part ordered, couldnt be installed because it was the wrong part.We finally contacted LG. After long waits, requests to speak to managers, etc., we were finally referred to their Executive Services. Im guessing that this department handles difficult situations (or difficult people, although I havent been difficult until now, 7 weeks later). LG sent out their tech. Tech announced that the refrigerator was installed improperly because it fit too tightly in the cabinetry. Ok, this is a counter-depth, built-in refrigerator. Huh?So, LG Executive Services was called again. We asked for the installation manual and were directed to the online version. While the Exec. Services person (Tish) was on the phone, we read, aloud and together, the specs which stated the unit needs 1/8 on either side and minimum of 2 from the wall to the back of the refrigerator. The unit was installed properly. Tish insisted that it isnt and made me wait while she chatted with Engineering. Apparently, Engineering stated that there needed to be 1 on top for air flow. I asked Tish how I would have known that since its not published in the installation manual and I want a copy of that. 8 days have gone by and Ive not received anything. When I followed up today with Jenna, she said that, because I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, the engineers will send the info to the BBB and they will respond to me. REALLY???Between the dates of April 4th and today, April 11th, Ive exchanged 12 emails with Marianne, at Executive Services, to no end. LG tech came out, again, with a 2nd tech at 7:30 PM! After much discussion, they determined it must be the control board or the sealed system. The control board was ordered and installed. Our interior refrigerator temperature is now 61 degrees from 57!! What a joke. So... today I spoke to 3 people at Executive Services: Tamica (totally useless), Willie and Jenna. Jenna seemed to at least want to do something. I shared that our daughter is getting married in 4 days, we are having a 40 person brunch on Easter Sunday, and I have no freaking refrigerator. The latest is... Jenna contacted the Tech Department and they want to put in a datalogger to clarify the issue. I asked what that meant, she didnt know. I asked how long it would be in the fridge, she didnt know. She said she sent an email to the tech engineer, tech manager, and Tech Support manager asking these questions. Do you think the problem with getting anything done has to do with too much weight at the top? Anyway, we have an appointment Thursday so the tech can put in a datalogger, whatever the hell it does.I cant even describe the frustration and anger held towards this company. I would have given them a 1 because, obviously, their products arent meant to last, but some of the folks at Executive Services and our tech have been nice and most seem to want to help. I wouldnt recommend LG products to anyone, ever, unless they want to be totally frustrated and throw money out of the window. Our previous refrigerator lasted 19 years and it was a Whirlpool... no brainer.[Updated on 04/20/2017] Felt my previous review needed updating and lowered my rating from 2* to 1. I still dont have a functioning refrigerator. Jenna, at LG, promised the datalogger, which never happened. After she contacted their tech people, they deemed my refrigerator installed improperly, again, and said sorry, we cant help you. So, after sending out their techs 4 times, replacing the motherboard, ordering the sealed unit, this is their decision? The unit is installed in accordance with the installation manual on line. Their engineers came up with different specs. Coincidentally, their cant fix it edict came on the heels of my response to their response to my complaint to the Better Business Bureau. Hmmmm... After reading the 1700+ complaints about LG products, the majority being refrigerators, Ive decided to take this further. I am contacting my local news station, newspaper and the Attorney General, if need be. PLEASE... EVERYONE WHO IS OR HAS EXPERIENCED THE LACK OF SERVICE, and refrigeration, from LG, TAKE IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL. LETS GET THIS CRAPPY COMPANY OUT OF OUR STORES.

Bought a beautiful black stainless steel LG refrigerator for around $3500.0
Bought a beautiful black stainless steel LG refrigerator for around $3500.00 two years ago. I researched for six months before purchasing. I wanted the best I could afford since it has a pretty important job. I have a child with severe allergies so I needed a big fridge for her special food. We finally decided to get the biggest and best on the market. I read bad reviews on Samsung and good ones on LG. Now just two years later I join the millions of other dissatisfied LG customers who had their compressor completely go out and ruin food worth hundreds. To wait for an LG repairman is going to take weeks since there is only one and he, not surprisingly, is booked with other crappily made LG products. I got a refrigerator repairman to diagnose it yesterday, which I had to pay more fifty dollars more since it was a weekend. He told me that he sees nearly new LG refrigerator compressors go out often. He said that he put in a second new compressor in one month for his customer last week and the customer got him to help him haul his 3 year old LG refrigerator to the DUMP. We all need to start a class action lawsuit against LG since they are selling shoddy products and not standing behind them.

My wife and I purchased our LG refrigerator in Dec 2018, and it ran great for 90 Days. In March 2019 I had noticed that the freezer had started to warm up and ice started to melt. I called Lowe’s and they had told me that since it was still under manufacturer warranty, that I had to deal with LG. So first off I called and set up a service call. Their service window is from 8:00 am to Noon and 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm... Ugh... so my wife took the first day off, and the service tech did not show up until 2:30pm, whole day of wages lost. The techy comes in my house and proceeds to tell my wife that I need to remove a set of cabinets or cut vent holes in the one above the fridge, because according to him the fridge gets too hot and causes the compressor to fail. Crazy huh, so according to the owner’s manual, it states 1 on each side, 2 top and 3-4 on the back for proper ventilation, which I have. I designed my kitchen with this fridge in mind, so anyway I get home from work and the service guy is informing me that he does not have the right tools to diagnose my fridge. He said I need to set up another service call and he would get the right tools ordered, and he left. I have to say I was not happy about it. I argued with Lowe’s for the next 2 weeks trying to get a replacement, and Lowe’s could not do anything because of the warranty, so I call LG again and they will not replace it without a proper diagnosis. So it took another 2 weeks and multiple phone calls not only to Lowe’s but to LG as well to get this fridge diagnosed, come to find out the compressor went out after 90 days, didnt cost me anything but 2 day’s worth of wages and 400 dollar’s worth of food.

On June 28, 2020 I noticed my fridge was not keeping things cold. I called a refrigerator repair company and it turns out my compressor went bad. I have only had the fridge for 5 yrs and 3 months. I called LG customer service on June 29, 2020, and was told they would replace the part but wouldnt pay for the service. It is going to cost over $600 to have the compressor replaced. I did some additional research and it appears LG has a problem with defective compressors. In fact, there was a lawsuit filed against them for this very reason. I asked to speak to a manager about the repair cost and Vergie refused to transfer me to one. She also would not provide the name of the manager that said they would not cover the repair costs. Wednesday 25th of May my refrigerator stopped working. Both refrigerator and freezer part. I called the 800 number on owners manual that came with the refrigerator and was told I had to either pay over $200 or $399 for 1 year extra insurance because they could not find my registration card and could not tell me when I bought it. So I paid the $399 thinking someone would come out and look at the fridge. I was informed that no one could come until the following Wednesday because it was a holiday weekend. The repairman came on Tuesday and informed my husband that the freon system was not properly cleaned before installation causing the freon to leak or evaporate from the system, causing the entire coolant system to malfunction. According the repairman this was done during the assembly process. He had to order a part and would take a few days to get. We waited a week and had to call LG back to get the repairmans number and find out what was taking so long. We were informed that the part is on back order and will not be available until after the 15th of June. At no time did the repairman call and inform us of this development. I have two small children in my home and cannot keep fresh foods available for them. I will not recommend an LG appliance to anyone. The customer service sucks and the phone center could give a damn. They could not tell me when we purchased the refrigerator but when my husband called they told him it was purchased in December 2014. Now they are telling me they have to get authorization to order a new part, which if that goes through wont arrive for another week. This is ridiculous that we should have to go through this for this long. I replaced all the appliances in my kitchen last year with new LG and this is what I get. I have an old freezer in my garage that has lasted for 20 years without issue. Should have stuck with it.

Dont buy this thing. LGs warranty is a joke and Costco wont let you return after 90 days. I have been trying for 3 weeks to get my 3.5 year old LG refrigerator fixed under warranty, no one will touch the thing. 3 weeks without a refrigerator and all LG does is give me phone numbers for authorized repair places that dont answer or refuse to work on LGs anymore. Their fancy compressors are failing and there are class action lawsuits working through the courts. Stay far away!

I purchased this LG LSXS26386 refrigerator new from Home Depot in June 2016. Shortly after it was delivered, the refrigerator door had to be replaced because the door in door wouldnt stay closed. Now in October 2017, I am having another issue with this refrigerator. It has begun to make a buzzing sound each time the motor is running. After calling LG, they said, through smart technology of my refrigerator, that the error code SBS-ERDS (defrosting system) will require a repair. They offered me a charge of $425 (1 year) or $338 (1 time) repair. I cant believe this! After only 17 months of usage, this piece of garbage refrigerator is already costing me more money. Do not waste your money on this refrigerator or any other product LG is trying to sell!

After my husband returned home from Iraq, we thought we deserved an upgrade
After my husband returned home from Iraq, we thought we deserved an upgrade of our 15 year old hand-me-down washer and dryer. We purchased the LG front loading washer (model # WM2487HRM). It began smelling horribly, not long after. We have had to leave the door and the dispenser drawer open, put dryer sheets in to help with smell in between washes, regularly try to wipe out the disgusting rubber seal, after every wash, because of the remaining water, and still it stinks. The printing on the machines is rubbing off, and the seams on the exterior of the dryer seem to be disintegrating. Every time I wipe it clean, the color of the machine (red) wipes off! We also have terrible vibrations with it. On January 18, 2012, we had a service technician come to check why it sounded like it was so far off balance, that it was going to crack the interior. Of course, the extended warranty provider, Federal Warranty Service Corporation, sent out the repair company of their choosing. He checked that the machine was indeed level (we already tried that), still it shook so bad that he had to remove the top of the washer, and proceeded to tell me wow! You should see how bad it is! That thing was going crazy inside there! He said the bearing was bad, and warned that with continued use, it might seize up. He also said that he wouldnt even attempt to replace it, because of the man hours it would require, and they only pay him a flat fee of $95 to repair it. It just wasnt worth his time. He said he would contact the service contract provider with the recommendation, to replace the machine altogether, and even recommended that we get a top loader next time! We still havent gotten any resolution, and our washer is worse than ever! LG, Home Depot, and Federal Warranty Service Corporation should all be ashamed of themselves for producing, selling, and attempting to maintain service contracts on this washing machine! It is the last time I will I purchase from any of them! Class action suit? Count me in!

LG Front Loading Machine - The worst washing machine I have ever owned. On top of the fact that the clothes don’t come out clean, it had broken down 3 times in 3 years. The customer service is condescending and rude. Adding insult to injury is the violating prices they charge to fix their under warranty parts. Never will buy nor will I recommend LG again.

Not heating or cooling on a 3.5 year old $3,000 refrigerator. I bought the now discontinued LG LFXS29766S refrigerator in August of 2015. It looks like new and has had no problems until last week on a Tuesday when I realized it had stopped cooling and making ice. I called the store I purchased from and was told that I had luckily bought a 60 month extended warranty, but I had to call them to get service. I called and the first time they could get to me was going to be Friday, then the following Tuesday! After speaking with their service person she said that in experience because of the model, a sealed system would have to be ordered and once it arrived they could schedule an appointment. With the caveat that LG can take 3-7 days to even ship the system. So I could most likely be without a refrigerator for 2-3 weeks...WHAT???I really cannot believe that after paying that price for a top of the line fridge that one has to wait 2-3 weeks and in calling local repairmen- NO-one stocks these parts and many do not want to even work on LG. I am hoping that my parts arrive this week and that hopefully it works, reading other reviews for the same problem I am not feeling like I will ever buy an LG product again. My last question to all 5 of the repairmen I called was what they would buy, that lasted the longest, can be fixed and repaired in a timely manner. Their answers were Frigidaire, Whirlpool and Kitchen-Aid. Hopefully this system will last at least another 4-5 years and then I will be buying one of those brands. To top it off I suspect this was a lemon design from the beginning as it has been discontinued. Sigh.

I got a floor model LG LSC27925ST. Great deal but it broke in 5 days. They exchanged it. I was happy for 1 month. The compressor broke and it took almost a month right before Thanksgiving. But it was a aftermarket part, I guess okay. One month later, the heater coil broke. I dont trust my refrigerator. They approved the 150 food loss and they took it back. I wish I never bought LG. I will never buy it again. I hope this help someone.

Purchased the Gas Range from Home Depot June, 2009. The knobs to turn the gas on/off are very loose and make it difficult to adjust gas. It is not only an inconvenience but also a safety hazard. On a few occasions, I found the gas still on when I know I had turned it off after cooking. Called their customer service dept. Mine is not one of the models that CS is allowed to send replacement parts to. To purchase knobs online would cost over $63/ea. Unit has been maintained very well. One user. No children in the home. Life of this appliance is very short compared to other stoves I have had. Neither Home Deport nor LG seem to care one bit.

Purchased an LG Door-within-a-door Refrigerator in July 2017. On September 6, 2020 the unit failed and we woke the next day to find all the food in the freezer was soft and the refrigerator was warm. Because of the holiday we had to wait 2 days to get a repair man to diagnose the problem... only to find out that no one in our area would service LG refrigerators due to consistent problems with warranty issues.3 calls to the LG 800 Customer Service center provided additional frustration due to the artificial intelligence support person taking information and then stating that it was a warranty issue and I would be handed off to a live agent... only to have the call dropped after 45 seconds of Muzak. I then went to the web site customer support and after providing all the information again to the service bot I was handed over to a live agent, and had to repeat all the information since he could not access the service bots data. After a 20 minutes of review and discussion it was determined it was probably a warranty issue and he authorized a repair ticket to be sent to an authorized repair tech, and after a 5 minute search reported that he could not find an available repair tech in my locality, but he would e-mail with the information. He did e-mail a name and contact information of a repair service and said I would get a call from them to set up the appointment, and if I didnt hear from them within 7 days to call LG back. The repair service called the next day September 9th and gave me a tentative appointment for September 17th to replace the compressor, assuming that LG sent the correct part on time. This was their 1st available appointment as they had that many LG compressors failing. Today September 15th I received a call stating that the compressor had not shipped yet and the anticipated receipt gave a new install date of October 2nd.... 25 days after the refrigerator failed! Never again will I consider an LG product.

I own an LG front load washer. It has been problematic since its purchase 3 years ago. It never cleans the clothes. It makes clothes smell awful. I found out others are having the same problem. I wish they give my money back. I used all the recommended treatments, washing machine cleaners (additional expense), emptying its water often (additional inconvenience), leaving the door open when not in use (hit my legs and bruise them), still clothes smell horrible, especially towels seem to absorb this mushy smell. I hope soon I will get rid of it. I missed clean smelling fresh clothes so much. I need to use a ton of drying sheets to suppress the smell. NEVER BUY FRONT LOADING WASHER. I WILL NEVER AGAIN. They do not save water because you have to wash your clothes again and again. Also you need to clean the machine with special cleaners while running it empty. So in the end no water is saved.

I have contacted customer service via the telephone and email, but have gotten nothing but excuses. Our 2-year old range is rusting, pitting and the enamel is wearing off from the grates sliding in and out. We have an extended warranty with GE, but they said our warranty doesnt cover the issues. They term this as cosmetic. We have had other stoves/ranges over the years and this has never happened. LG also states that cosmetic issues arent covered. In December of this past year, I wrote a letter and mailed it to a location in New Jersey which online had shown it as a corporate office, but never received a response. It would be appreciated if someone would acknowledge my concerns and receive some restitution. We bought five LG appliances in one week at The Home Depot and spent over $6000.00 and have no problems with the items. I hope someone could help us out!

Absolute worst customer service ever. $3000 French Door LG Refrigerator stopped working one month after going out of warranty, so basically at the 13 month period, $300 worth of food in the trash! Had to purchase a repair plan for $450 to get it fixed. It is the seal system that is causing the problem. Nobody in my area knows how to fix that. I have asked for my money back. NO, they said. A relative of mine is an LG repair man and he said LG has been trying to hire him but he does not want to work for them because their compensation is very poor. No wonder they dont have anyone available for certain jobs. Now we are using our old LG in the garage (Im glad that I didnt throw it away!) for our food. We wanted all of our appliances to match in the stainless steel color. Stay away from LG fridges. We also have stove, microwave, dishwasher, washer and dryer. Those have worked great so far!
