Frankly Im not a happy camper with this product. We purchased a large capacity front loader a couple of years ago. And just like most honeymoons things went smoothly for the first couple of years. In the past year we have had all of our washables damaged. Each piece has small holes in them. We do not overload our washer or dryer and use the recommended products in the proper amounts. Have any of you experienced this issue and if so how did you resolve it. Personally I think it could be the drum itself thats causing the issue. I worked for years as a commercial laundry mechanic. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Cost was within our budget for remodeling and the style fit the other appliances in our kitchen. It also fit the dimensions of the area we allocated for the refrigerator. It was a good quality and had nice interior area to keep fruits and vegetables as well as enough space for all meats and drinks. The outside of the refrigerator matches the style of the kitchen and was easy to clean. But twirls have like to have water dispenser on the outside the refrigerator to access cold water and would have like the small door feature to not have open the full refrigerator to access simple things

My LG refrigerator LFC23760SW started breaking after a few months of normal
My LG refrigerator LFC23760SW started breaking after a few months of normal use (we dont have any children at home), just my husband and I and we take care of our things. Purchased in 2009 and the problems with this piece of expensive junk (which cost around $2000) started fairly soon. All the shelves have literately fallen apart. Just placing an item on one of the main shelves caused it to break on both sides so I had to remove it. Now we have almost no shelves left in this horrible excuse for an appliance. LG response: They will sell us more shelves of the same quality at the price of $90 per shelf. Never again will I purchase one of their items.

Beware LG french door fridges where the bottom shelf cannot be cleaned nor removed. My LG fridge that I bought almost 2 years ago (GR-L218ASL) has a bottom shelf that cannot be cleaned between the plastic and glass... its very unsafe (unhygienic) and is a design fault which LG thinks I should pay for. Customer service bad... no integrity, customer is not right and case manager who told me he was the head of LG John, who I can only imagine was Mr. Juno Cho (supposedly) wasnt concerned about bad reviews. So here we are, they will occur everywhere I can find to place them to make other customers aware. Do not buy LG.

Do not buy a washing machine from LG. You will regret it. I have seen nothing, but issues. After 2 years of owning one we started to have issues. 2 years! UE and OE messages would pop up and stop the cycle. Wasting tons of water and costing us a lot of time. Took me twice as long to wash things. I was able to make it work for about 2 years. Only washing things at night after work. Now the machine cant make it 5 mins without stopping the cycle. The LG site bounces you around and makes it very hard to try and request a repair. Their call line does the same thing. Came to this site and saw that many people have experienced the same issues. Very frustrating. I will never buy another LG product again.

This microwave caught fire while steaming vegetables. We heard a snapping sound followed by the entire inside space bursting into flames. I was able to extinguish with no damage except to the microwave. Since the unit was only 10 months old and still under warranty I called LG. Their response was immediate and a technician (tech) was at our home the next day. Upon arrival and inspection he made a few comments: (1) Why did we clean up the damages inside the unit? (2) What happened? (3) I need to call home office to talk to inside Tech.He made the call as we stood there and a Tech on the phone asked him to send a video from his phone with instructions from the Tech on the phone. Once completed he hung up and said this unit is fried and needs to be replaced but two Techs from home office had to review. Ten minutes later they called back saying it was customer error due to GREASE FIRE and they would not repair or replace. My only choice was to escalate the claim to LG management which I did. After sending them store receipt I asked for the denial and reason in writing which they absolutely refused to give me. The next day they emailed me to say they set up a Return Authorization Review and I should hear from them within 2-3 business days. It is now five business days with no response!I went to the store where I purchased the LG microwave, gave them my notes and asked for help. Once reviewed by store and they seen what LG was putting me through they said they would replace the unit. Would you buy another LG product after reading about this runaround? I would not but I certainly will purchase again from Best Buy as they stood behind a product that the manufacturer, LG in this case, would not.

Updated on 09/03/2019: Please read and adhere to my review. I have had a technician out now 4 times. They finally decided to replace the compressor. When they did and left, they installed a faulty compressor that made my fridge actually heat up to 85 degrees. I called them and they came out last Friday and said yes, second compressor was bad. So I called today to ask where we go now, their response...We need to send out a technician to verify that the compressor is bad. I said, You came last Friday. LG said, Well he didn’t call us to report it so we need to send him out again and call us when he’s in front of the fridge. Mind you it’s been the same tech all 4 times and they want me to schedule him again, which takes 10 days wait every time. Please read the reviews and see how bad they are. I’m disgusted with this company.Updated on 08/29/2019: I am now one month without a fridge. Took them 5 calls and 2 weeks to get back. They finally sent a tech who vacuumed out my fridge and left. I called 5 more times and finally got them to come back 2 weeks later to put in a new compressor. Fridge is now screaming loud and has gone up 10 degrees. They want to send a technician a third time and I hung up. The tech said he has replaced 74 lg compressors....that’s from the technician. If you call their number it says, “Are you having a cooling problem….” Stay far away from this brand. We are a large family and living out of coolers in August with no answer in sight.Original Review: I bought a LG fridge 2 years ago. My refrigerator quit cooling so I called customer service. They told me they extended the warranty to five years and I would receive a call within 3-5 business days. I never received a call within the time frame. I called twice during that time to check and and I always got the same response that it would be escalated. On the sixth day they told me it was scheduled out two weeks. I explained that we are a family of five and that’s crazy. Then I received a text confirmation telling me that it was actually 3 weeks out before someone would come out, but they would escalate and nothing else they could do. Runaway from LG fridges. It’s the middle of summer and we had to throw everything away and living out of a cooler. They could care less.... Customer service is worse than the actual refrigerator.... You’ve now been warned. They are aware of the issue due to when you call the automated message says is your LG fridge not cooling? Junk!!

Like thousands of other LG Refrigerator victims my new LG model LSXS26366S died. I had to throw out over $200.00 worth of fresh food, spent another $1000 on repairs. I called LG speaking to call centers overseas trained to kill you with kindness as they provide no help. Then had to pay a local company to look at it, the technicians said I hate to tell you youre screwed sir, a sealed system failure. Compressor. Then LG on the 4th day arranged a company that showed up in the 1970 tiny pickup truck, they do not accept credit cards cash only- yup sealed system failure that will be another $89.00 bucks. $1,100 to fix it. The Federal Trade Commission is allowing LG Electronics USA to continue to rip-off Americans. LG is aware of their defective compressors & systems. I was told they are back ordered in Korea, could be 2 months before parts become available. A Class Action Lawsuit must be filed to protect Honest Americans from this company. Furthermore - If your large retail chain store is selling LG appliances - YOU ARE RIPPING OFF Your customers.

I purchased this LG Top Loader washer in October 2010 along with the extend
I purchased this LG Top Loader washer in October 2010 along with the extended service agreement. From the beginning I had nothing but problems, I got the UE code often, it would run the rinse cycle over and over, clothes ended up in a knot, etc. The service company checked it, said the legs needed balancing and it was fine, NOT FINE! Finally the recall happened and after fixing it, everything was WORSE. Every load was UE, the timer wouldnt advance, all the issues I have read about here. The service agreement sent someone out who was here 1 minute and said this was an LG issue and they would call me back. No call back, numerous calls to LG who opened a case at my insistence at a replacement. LG said they would get back with me in 7 to 10 days, which didnt happen. Set up another appointment with service contract, took the morning off work, and guess what a NO SHOW!!! I suggest everyone with these problems call Consumer Affairs (the government agency listed on our recall letters), I lodged a complaint there and was seriously considering joining one of the class action lawsuits about this fiasco! Service company said I had to have one more service call before they would consider the machine a LEMON, so I insisted it NOT be a third party vendor, but an actual LG repair person. This person called me to let me know when he would be here, had a LG shirt on, and after one minute said the recall fixer only did half the job, not to worry he could fix it. He said some of the vendors LG hired to do the recalls only replaced the software and then didnt do the proper programming. He proceeded to replace the rotors, the motor and finished programming the software. It did work! Not perfect as my clothes are more wet than I would like, so I have to run an extra spin cycle sometimes, but I am not getting the UE error codes, and able to use spin only cycle without water dumping in! He said dont use the cotton/normal setting, use casual and if washing towels wash 4, not only 2, and better to do bigger loads than small. The machine has a hard time sensing light small loads. I still would never purchase an LG large appliance again, or certainly this big fancy machine if I knew small light loads would be an issue, and certainly will not purchase an extended service agreement! So, moral of the story... INSIST on an actual LG repair person, even when dealing with the extended service company.

Purchased an LG gas range on 06/28/2014 from HH Gregg. The 5 top burners work fine. The oven does not work properly. Set the temperature for 350 degrees, wait for over an hour for it to warm up to the correct temperature. And it will not exceed 320 temperature. Waited an additional hour to warm, gave up on dinner. Again after one hour, oven reached a temperature of 295 only. Gave up again!

I purchased an LG refrigerator from Home Depot. Most expensive refrigerator they had on the floor was $2800. I have had nothing but trouble with it. It has leaked 4-5 times ruining my floor and now it is not cooling or freezing. No one here in Cheyenne will even work on LGs. The repair business report has difficulty obtaining parts as they have had customers waiting for over a month to get parts so they will not service them. I am left with either cutting my losses or having someone come from over 60 miles away try to come and service. Be aware. Do not purchase LG because of their poor availability of service and parts and poor quality.

Our $3,500+ super capacity LG refrigerator stopped cooling at the 6 year mark. Several repair attempts have been made in the past month under warranty and at least $2100 in food has spoiled. Weve also spent $370 on floor repairs from water damage leaking from the fridge after the second repair attempt. My fiance and I have been tirelessly working the frontlines 6-7 days a week taking direct care of critically ill COVID patients at hospitals with little time to grocery shop (or sleep) since this pandemic started. For a month now, my family has been eating from our hospitals vending machines or relying on fast food delivery service which has drained our accounts. LGs policy states a maximum of $300 food reimbursement and if our unit is deemed unrepairable even under warranty, we have no option but to pay for junk hauling. After purchasing several high end appliances from LG, this is a huge slap in our faces.

Had the range for 1 year. Had an extended warranty. Called service right after Thanksgiving because the range didnt heat up - needed a thermostat. Then was told I needed a control board which was on backorder. Part was coming from Korea and no one knew when it would be arriving. How can LG sell products and cant supply parts? The model range that I have is still actively being sold in the stores. How can they sell products without being able to obtain parts? I gave away my old stove which never broke down. They dont make products like they used to. It was hard to go thru the holidays without a range. I will never buy an LG product again. I have an LG microwave and refrigerator but will replace them when the time comes with a different manufacturer. The store that I bought the range from didnt help so finally today 01/07/15 the warranty company will refund some money. Thankfully I finally found someone that cared.

LG Washer Model # WT5070CW - The outer skirts of the bleach compartment of my LG top loader has rusted and has now split the metal of the machine. Thus, I have rust water draining into my laundry tub. The protection plan I bought was useless for it cover parts not cosmetics. LG could not help me, they wont stand behind their own work. Well, to be fair, the LG Rep did say that although he has no solution, he understands my disappointment. So, LG will not stand behind their product. Too bad for me...a shame. I will never purchase LG AGAIN! If there is a class action lawsuit that anyone knows of please contact me. I am out of $1000, a washing machine, clean clothes, and without recourse. LG LMV1680ST - We bought this range hood/microwave 1 1/2 to 2 yrs ago from (I believe) Home Depot and didnt have any extended warranty, so we arent looking to have it replaced or fixed. Yes its VERY loud, its cheaply constructed of plastic and like so many others, the handle broke and the frame cracked on the top corner. We are going to get a normal range hood and bring my Panasonic Inverter (7 yrs old counter top version) up from down stairs. We just want to inform the consumer of a serious defect. Last night, my daughter made popcorn and when it was done, she pulled it out closed the door and walked away. I had the useless fan running because I was baking so she didnt hear that, when she closed the door, it was still running. Probably 10 to 15 mins later, my niece noticed flashes of light coming from the inside and smoke from underneath. My husband had to run downstairs and flip the circuit to turn it off. Not a good thing at all, when your daughter opens the door and it continues to run and doesnt trip the circuit on its own. Ive included pics but in case they dont post, the glass turntable actually started to melt, there are burn marks on the bottom, inside the microwave and the plastic turntable wheels are melted to the bottom. On the outside underneath the micro, there are also god awful burns. Its frightening to think of what would have happened if it started on its own and no one was home. I havent read all the reviews on your site, but there are many others that have had this problem and reported on other review sites. I just need to get the word out about this very DANGEROUS flaw.

After owning my top load LG washing machine for 4 years, I began getting the UE message on every wash that the unit was off balance. Should have started reading all the previous complaints... well I didnt. Then on Jan. 7, 2017 I received the LE message and the unit stopped working all together and smelling like it was on fire inside. I called the LG customer service where I was told I was out of warranty that they could sell me a one time fix for $305, this would include a technician coming out diagnosing the issue and all parts and labor. I paid for it, the first repairman came (1/13/17) he unplugged the machine, pressed start and then power for 10 seconds each, plugged it back in and told my husband it was fixed... NOT... I called back, they told me they would send a new technician. He came out on 1/16/17 and said the issue was UNDER WARRANTY (10 year warranty on motor) and the motor is SHOT. He would order the parts and come back out... when... he didnt know. Today is 1/30/17 and after speaking to the repairman who is STILL waiting to get the parts from LG... I spent ONE AND 1/2 HOUR on HOLD with LG and got NO RESPONSE... THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHEN HELL GET THE PARTS. Im at my wits end and just want to get my $305 back and go buy a new machine. Bought our LG gas range 2 years ago. Less than 6 months, one knob broke off. I called Best Buy and they said to call LG. LG said I need to purchase knobs. The knobs are expensive. They are made of a plastic and do not have the strength to take the pressure. After swapping knobs, they all eventually cracked. I do not recommend to purchase the oven from LG. Unfortunately, it sounds that they are replacing them to their customers. We were not told that. It is dangerous when you cannot turn off burners. I would like to find metal or a cast metal to replace them. Be careful, this can be dangerous.

LG model LFX31925ST - Came home to a loud noise coming from my 5-month old LG refrigerator, all the freezer food is thawed and the ice was melting in the door. I used the live online chat. I asked “Is there a fire danger, what should I do?” The response is, “Call the smart diagnosis department.” She gives me the number to call. The smart diagnosis department could not help. A day later LG called and gave us a phone number to set up in home repair. That company said it is difficult to communicate with LG and get parts or payment from LG. That person declined to take our repair request. We waited to hear from LG. Nothing. I submitted a second request by filling out an online repair request. Nothing. I sent an email request and got a quick email reply, “Sorry for your difficulty,” then something that made no sense and finally You be contacted.” Hmm, shouldnt that be “You WILL be contacted”? I now understand LG is aware of a common control panel problem. I think that this is my problem. I also believe I am going to get stuck with a lemon. Do not buy this product.

I love the configuration of this refrigerator, especially the middle drawer. Ive had range for 18 months. When I auto cleaned the oven for the first time (dont use that often) three months ago, the F3 button started flashing about 2 hours into it but it continued to finish cycle. So then the phone calls finally staying home from work for a service repair who takes an hour to assess the range and then he needs to order the part and have it sent and then then set up another appt. but it worked. So I cleaned the lower oven 6 weeks later and the control panel shorts out again. Service is coming so well do the same thing all over again. Why have a self-cleaning oven when every time you use it, the control panel burns itself out? Is it faulty insulation?

Woke up to a non-functioning fridge/freezer on Saturday 07/11/20, tried going through all the steps I found to check it out before calling in to LGs customer service to report a non-functioning unit. I had to remove everything from the unit and find places to put it or throw away good food. My experience with LG customer service was great, they took my info and sent the info out to the 3rd party warranty service company. This is where it goes downhill.@ Your Service (3rd party company) sent me a text on 07/13/20 that they have scheduled me for 07/24/20!!!! I sent a text back that I need service sooner than that since my unit is down. I got a reply that they will contact me when an earlier appointment is available. Here it is 07/20/20 and I still have a broken fridge/freezer. I have had to go out and buy a new mini-fridge in the mean time. Why does LG allow this 3rd party service company to keep doing this? Look up their reviews and see just how bad their customer service is. I will update when @ Your Service finally shows up and hopefully fixes my expensive side by side refrigerator. I bought the unit during Black Friday 2017, it made it a little over 2.5 years. Model: LSXS26366D.ASBCNA0.

LG Inverter Linear compressor went bad 3 weeks ago. This is my second purchase of a LG refrigerator. I love the adjustable space inside the refrigerator and the constraint cooling throughout the refrigerator. My issue is I have been without a refrigerator for 3 weeks with family coming in tomorrow. My husband called the LG service department on November 25 and they found us an authorized dealer but they are an hour south of our home. They came out on November 27 and told us our compressor went bad and would order another one. Needless to say, Thanksgiving dinner was served out of coolers and neighbors spare refrigerators. We have been calling both the LG service department and the service company that LG said would fix our compressor. The service company says they cannot get a compressor when we call them. LG service department says they have them in stock. I am not sure what is going on but three weeks without a refrigerator is extremely bad customer service. I need help with getting my refrigerator fixed and don’t know where to turn.

I just purchased my brand new LG washer & dryer about 6 months ago. So far, so good with the dryer, but the washing machine is terrible. Its constantly leaving patches of lint on my delicate/cold wash clothing and light patches on my other clothes. The set that I purchased was very expensive and this is unacceptable.

The 10 year warranty that covers the compressor is not worth the paper it is printed on. My fridge is running hot to get it fixed under warranty I have to pay $250.00 for labor. The only thing covered is the part. I asked how long will it take to change the compressor, 2 to 3 hours Im told. At what cost per hour, cant tell me that. I asked if they could come out if it is the compressor can they leave it and I will have it installed, told no. I asked if I could find my own certificated LG technician told no they will not supply the compressor. So the only option is pay the $250 or risk having someone charge me double because LG cant tell me how much it will cost per hour for a tec. Also have an LG dishwasher not working, both appliances less than 6 years old. Either have a warranty or dont because this so called one is not worth it. I will never buy LG again.

I guess I should feel lucky. My $2200 LG refrigerator lasted 3.25 years. Reading all of the other reviews it appears the average is 2.5 years. LG states the life expectancy is 20 years. If they truly believed that, why doesnt the compressor have a 20 year warranty. Its baseless marketing, My dead refrigerator has been standing in my kitchen Since July of 2019. Consumers settled a class action suit against LG, but LG still has not done a thing to resolve my issues except send me a generic e-mail referring to their website. LG responds to these reviews, stating this is not a normal customer experience.LG fought a class action suit, lost, and had an appeal dismissed on their faulty compressor issues. And they have yet to fulfill their obligations in the settlement. This is the routine for LG customers, not the exception. Search: LG REFRIGERATOR CLASS ACTION SETTLEMENT BENTLEY, ET AL. V. Does a decent job washing dishes but unit is very noisy. Supposed to be at 48 decibels but this unit is much louder than that. Front touch pad is extremely sensitive. Just brushing against it starts the washer. Upper rack also is rusting after only 10 months usage. Dealer through which it was purchased has gone out of business so I am waiting for LG to get back to me as to if they are going to repair. Says right in the manual that racks have a 5 year warranty. Dont know what all the delay is about. The reason I purchased unit was because of the excellent refrigerator we purchased. Will think twice in the future.

Bought a TV in August 2020. After 3 repair attempts over 6 months, LG finally agreed to refund my money. With much effort, I packed up the TV and sent it back months ago and still havent seen my refund. Had three repair attempts on my refrigerator and its finally fixed (I guess). But were still out $750 for lost food. Now, my 27 month old dishwasher has a control problem and rusted out rack. Both controls and rack have a 5 year warranty but I have to call some appliance-fix-it place to get them to look at it. I bet I get no repair, no parts no-nothing and a lot of wasted time for this. I have $15,000 worth of LG equipment in this house and they arent the least bit interested in helping me. I wont buy another piece of equipment from them again.

On August 25, 2019 my refrigerator started getting warmer and warmer. I called Sears repair but they only had an appointment two weeks out on September 10th so I took it. Thats a long time to go without a refrigerator. However, I read online that LG refrigerators have issues with their compressor so I decided to call LG direct to see if there was any warranty on my fridge I purchased in 2012. After the standard questions...the service agent provided me with a phone number of the local repair person for LG. I called Lilo and he was able to come out the very next day. He confirmed it was the compressor and then tested the motherboard to make sure the software would be compatible with the new compressor which it was, whew. I know there have been a lot of bad reviews here but I didnt have the same experience so I decided to take the time to post. Thank you for the help LG and I appreciate your service repair person here in Hawaii!

They each blamed the other. My refrigerator is only four years old and I paid over $3,000 for it. I know I am not alone. There is a class action lawsuit against LG for this same problem. The top right corner lifts up and attaches to tops, strings, other clothing and rips them and destroys them completely. I’ve tried to ignore it on occasion until my kids start complaining about their clothes as well. I wish we could get compensated for the amount of money we’ve lost in having to replace items. I hope my next order for my replacement lint filter comes soon.

Don’t buy an LG refrigerator in Anchorage, Alaska! No service company in Anchorage will do LG sealed system warranty work. When our 5.5 year old LG refrigerator (model LFX21976) stopped cooling and freezing, we called an Anchorage technician to come check it. He determined that it had a compressor failure which is a sealed system issue a warranty item. He called LG to establish a claim. The LG contact ran through a diagnostic and told our tech to first replace the inverter control (not a warranty item). Our tech refused, telling LG that he was not going to charge us for work that he knew was not the problem. He persuaded the LG contact to record our claim as a sealed system (compressor) issue. Our techs company refuses to do sealed system warranty work for LG.When we called LG to confirm the warranty repair and find out who would do LG warranty work, we were given 3 names. One was the company we originally contacted. The second advised that they too will not do LG sealed system warranty work. Only the third, located in Palmer, AK, would do the work. He charges a $35 travel fee for the hour drive to Anchorage. Having no choice, we made an appointment. He confirmed the sealed system compressor problem. Because we would be traveling, he took our refrigerator to his shop so he could work on it there when the part arrived. We expected the work to be completed when we returned. When he contacted LG to have the part shipped, he was told to replace the inverter board and main PCB not warranty items. He did this work without contacting us. He said he had to go with what LG said even though he and LG had both been told that the inverter board and main PCB were both functioning correctly. When we returned, the Palmer tech said, Good news. It wasn’t what he thought and it did not cost as much as the warranty work would have. It did cost $438.95. He brought our refrigerator back in a few days but advised not to plug it in until the next day so the fluids could settle. We plugged it in; it did not cool or freeze. The same problem we originally reported. When he came back several days later, he concluded that it really was a sealed system compressor problem. It then took more than two weeks to get the part. He did the repair. The refrigerator again works. But the warranty only covers the part, not the $450 labor. We were without use of our refrigerator for two months and paid for unnecessary work. A 5.5 year old refrigerator should not fail! Based on other reviews maybe we were lucky to have it work that long! But the lack of service companies willing to do LG warranty work is reason not to buy an LG refrigerator in Anchorage, Alaska.

The refrigerators main CKT board failed (blown fuse) 7 months after purchase on 3/12/2009 resulting in spoiled food. LGs authorized repairs first repair was to jump the fuse. After complaints, I received a new board, which the repair facility installed. I kept the old board. Last week the start relay on the compressor failed also resulting in a loss of several hundred dollars in food. Contacted LG and they referred me to Encompass after I received the so-called replacement relay from Repair Clinic. (It had 2 terminals that plug into the compressor and was not the correct part, which is a 3 terminal device (relay/OLP) with 2 receptacles on the opposite side for the start capacitor and 2 spade connectors for the power (line and neutral). (An easy repair if you have the correct part.) Contacted at least 3 other part suppliers including Encompass and all had the same information and same wrong part. After spending $1600 for this appliance and losing hundreds of dollars in spoiled food and many hours trying to contact LG technicians, I have temporarily hooked up a Supco 3 in 1 (relay, OLP, and the original capacitor). I am a retired physics and electricity teacher (41 years experience) and I think their support is terrible. I wouldnt recommend this company to anyone. The pictures submitted show the original relay, the two replacement parts (relay and overload protector), manufacturers tag and receipt).

Purchased the LG French Door refrigerator Model LFXS29626 on 3/21/16. So far, the freezer/icemaker seal has been replaced, the icemaker has been replaced and the motherboard has been replaced. The original issue was the door to the icemaker was leaking and every time you opened the left door, water would pour out of the door. OK, that is fixed early July 2016, then the circuits went bonkers and water started pouring out of the water dispenser... Thank goodness we were home or our home would have flooded. OK, thats fixed the end of July 2016. Then on 8/4/16 the original problem happens again... Water coming out of the door and the ice seal not sealing. I call LG for the 4th time and they are pretty much, sorry about your issues but no, we will not replace your unit... I call Home Depot and they are being kind enough to discuss replacing it. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE A LG PRODUCT AGAIN!!! Do NOT purchase this crappy product!!!

We purchased the French door/bottom freezer unit for $3000.00 (model LFXC24726S). Upon plugging it in, it seemed to be cooling down, although the ice maker was not working. We reported this on 2/19/15. At that time it seemed that the unit on the whole was cold enough to stock with food. The fancy door temperature reading reported that the freezer was at 0 degrees and the refrigerator was at 37 degrees. NOT THE SITUATION!! The next morning everything that we put in the freezer was totally soft. By that afternoon we were sure that the refrigerator section was nowhere close to 37 degrees. We spoke to LG service repeatedly and although we were told that we would have service on Monday morning, we waited all day and finally a service tech came at 5 pm. He diagnosed that the unit would need a new mother board and would be back the next morning. We again waited all day and at 7 pm he returned with another service tech. At 9:30 pm they said that they believed that all problems had been solved. The next morning the tech called to ask if everything was working properly. Nice of him to call, but in fact, the unit was totally warm; although the temperature reading on the door still reported that the freezer was 0 degrees and the refrigerator was 37 degrees. So much for the reliability of this fancy technology. It is now 5 working days later and we are told by the executive team at LG that this refrigerator will not be replaced until everything has been tried to repair it. The compressor that the tech is now saying would be the next thing to try is on back order and it will be at least another week until that is available. Until LG has tried to replace every part and rebuild this unit they will keep us waiting. Thanks a lot. We want everyone to consider this situation before you decide to buy an LG product.

Both times I found the dryer stopped and the door open. OK. But try to get the drawstring out of the hinge! I worked for 15 minutes both times. LG NEEDS TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE. Follow up on my three-yr refrigerator that broke down, not even the lights turn on. Last Friday, the repairman was to arrive between 1pm and 5pm. I do not reside at the rental. At 2:43pm, I called their 800# and told them to have the repairman call me on my cell that I would be at my aunts house who lives 3 blocks away on the same street. The woman said, No problem, he will call you before he arrives. At 3;30 I called back. And asked what time was the man arriving. They responded this call has been cancelled, he arrived and left. I said he never called me on my cell, I am still waiting. They responded there is nothing we can do, call center is closed. I asked them what country are they in that the call center is closed. She said the call center is in Alabama and they are closed. They only work from 8-5pm. The woman in India never told the repairman to call me on the cell and I dont think that those people can call the repairman. The only one that can call is a supervisor and he is in another building. When I requested a supervisor, it took me 20 minutes on hold to finally speak to one. At the end, he ended up hanging up on me. Now I contacted Sears and will wait for them to find out if my refrigerator has a solution or do I just lose the $1500.00 that I paid four yrs ago. I refuse to pay $400.00 to repair a refrigerator that is not worth repairing. Never buy an LG product.

Updated on 07/03/2019: This review is the follow-up of my prior review on 7/2/19 of my expensive LG refrigerator that was purchased in April of 2016 and stopped working after just 3 years on 7/2/19. I made contact to an Appliance repair company since obviously my family can not go without a refrigerator. I was told this repair is a compressor issue and with the cost of a new compressor along with the labor cost, my repair for this nearly new refrigeration will be approximately $900.00-$1000.00 to repair. My refrigerator was obviously the most expensive item of my ridiculous $5000.00 LG appliance kitchen package purchase! Now, I’m looking at an additional cost of possibly another $1000.00 for what should definitely still be under warranty for at least an additional two (2) years, along with the loss of well over $500.00 in spoiled food during a Holiday week. My family is now scrambling to get some food and attempt to enjoy the Holiday, however, we obviously do not have a place to even store the food we have to buy once again since we need to buy another refrigerator also! I would never pay another $1000.00 to fix a LG piece of garbage that dies in 3 years. It appears this terrible Company realized they ripped off everyone who purchased their junk products prior to January 2018 since their website now provides the normal five (5) year warranty like every other company always did, but hey they made a lot of money ripping people off prior. I will reiterate and cannot stress enough, stay away and don’t trust anything from LG and their expensive awful appliances now or ever.Original Review: I purchased a complete four (4) piece LG kitchen appliance package for over $5000.00 in April of 2016 and now only 3 years later this refrigerator stopped cooling and all of our food was ruined. I checked online for the warranty and their site unbelievably stated I was out of warranty after one (1) year and would require a paid service call to assess and repair this refrigerator. There is not one (1) other company out there that would provide only a 1 year warranty on an expensive refrigerator, that is just totally unheard of. I also had a problem with their stove after only 6 months but they were forced to fix that issue under their terrible warranty program. In checking their website warranty page they now have a notation stating appliances purchased after January 2018 have a 5 year warranty, seriously my products are only from 2016. My advice is to stay away from all LG appliances, they are horrible products!

My family member purchased this brand new refrigerator and in six months the ice machine was not working. We called LG for service and their diagnostic testing resolution was to not open the refrigerator door too often. We responded that opening the doors should not cause the ice machine to malfunction. We reset it; and eight months later the compressor goes. This thing is a lemon. What saved us from further expenses is the fact we had purchased the extended warranty. We did lose food and LG reimbursed us up to $300.00 for the loss. There is no way that a $4000.00 fridge should be breaking down this fast. We have had models costing far less (hundreds) that has lasted 15-20 years: the repair man stated these smart models will only be lasting 6-8 years. Ours hasnt lasted six months to just over a year. My advise, keep it simple, and avoid LG products. There was a local news story that LG contracts out the parts production to many different smaller companies all over the world, so they cant be blamed for their lemons. One must sue the parts company.

After the 5th time the washer vibrated and flooded out laundry room. We called up LG again and they said they would issue a full refund. The next day we went out and bought a Maytag washer with zero issue so far. To get the refund LG gave us a case number and a link to upload our proof of purchase. After not hearing from them for a month we called them up and said they have no record of them saying we would get a refund. Their customer service is a joke. They claim they have no record of 3 of the repairs and no record of saying they would refund the money for a lemon washer. I bought an LG refrigerator in Sept 2016, it failed April 2019. I have been without a working refrigerator for over 4 months. They have attempted to replace the compressor 3 times, 2 of these times they also replaced the motherboard, each time its failed. LG told me that they would attempt to repair 3 times before a replacement would be issued. On the day of the 3rd failed attempt I called and was told that they were submitting the approval for a replacement. After not hearing back I called and Im now being told that each of those repairs fell into the same type of repair and that they will be sending a technician to try something different. Not until today was I offered a $150 credit towards a mini- refrigerator. Im being given quite the run-around, a different story each time I call it seems and Im at the end of my rope. How much time am I supposed to take off work to meet repair men, will they attempt this new type of repair 3 more times, then will they try something new? How long will this go on - a year? A refrigerator should last longer than 2.5 years, PERIOD. They are aware they are selling defective refrigerators. There are class action lawsuits about these compressors. Enough is enough. Send me a new unit or give me my money back.

In September of 2012, I purchased the 31 CF capacity LG French door refrigerator with the ice maker in the door. Right away, water leaked out onto my tiled floor. The store manager actually came out and fixed it for me; he replaced a faulty part, and no more leak. Then, when we would set the freezer temp to -2 degrees F, the panel would light up with error codes, and the water and ice dispenser wouldnt work. LG service said not to set freezer below 0 as it causes the mother board to freeze up. Had to unplug it for six hours, to reset it. ??? Why have settings if you cant use them? Went along fine, but ice cubes remained a bit watery. Then one morning last week, opened freezer to a mess of thawed food. Then the error codes began coming on again. It is so sad there is apparently no quality control at LG!! Beautiful concept, but for $3300 one would expect to get more than ten and a half months out of a major appliance! Calls to Geek Squad with a promise someone would contact me within 48 hours. No call for over a week! I raised Caine, and now they are replacing my unit with one of my choosing. I am going with the new, four door Samsung with Soda stream. Fingers crossed! Get it together LG!!!

I have had this washer and Dryer set for less than two years. I have called and complained about the washer about once and month. First the smell issue, then the clothes being half dry and now the mold or some kind of something being left on the clothes. First off when I call they have no record of the previous calls! They tell me do the clean cycle, joke doesn’t work! Then they say less clothes, doesn’t work! My clothes are literally covered in something after every load and it’s not getting any better. I’m going to buy a new machine and I will trailer this thing around as a lemon! LG Products and customer service are a joke! DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS!!! I also had a refrigerator that sat in my living room for 2 months because I couldn’t find a repairman to even come work on it and then LG sent out one of their people only to have him tell me it was a known issue and they had to replace the compressor under warranty after they tried to get me to pay for it first!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEIR PRODUCTS TO ANYONE!! MONEY PITS!!!

Nacretia was very helpful. She reached out to me via phone and provided me with the resolution that was being offered from LG. (Which did not completely fulfill what I wanted given the money we invested in this product and the trouble, time involved with getting it resolved.) The offer was fair enough for me to accept to be done with this ordeal. I do appreciate LG getting back in touch with me, offering the resolution, and following through with everything in the offer quickly. In the future, if LG finds a resolution to the linear compressor issues we might consider trying LG products again, but until then I cant recommend the refrigerators based off my experience.

I bought an LG True Steam Balance washer and dryer 2 years ago. Without a doubt, my 30 year old agitator washer and dryer in our house up north function much better. I purchased on the strength of Consumer Reports recommendation and because I thought the steam option would be useful. Consumer Reports really blew this one or else the report was written by some young person who considers wrinkles a fashion statement.EVERYTHING and I include towels, comes out so wrinkled that it requires touching up with an iron. I cannot WAIT to get rid of this washer and dryer; it makes life harder, not easier. I cant fault the cleaning; the clothes are cleaned just fine, but I believe that the washer spins with such ferocity that wrinkles are set into the clothes and no amount of tumbling, or taking them out of the dryer while damp, will eradicate the wrinkles.

We purchased an open box LG washing machine from Best Buy; first they changed the delivery date without notice; fast forward five months, this washing machine flooded our brand new house THREE TIMES. LG sent a technician out one week later because they only have limited amount of service for this area; the technician couldnt find the problem and after the third visit, and us videotaping the washing machine during the wash to see where the water was coming from, the technician said it was fixed. Well, we requested him to stay and watch and finally, he see the problem that LG never heard of. After one month, LG finally decide to issue a request to Best Buy to issue a refund since the washing machine was under warranty. After I go to Best Buy, I am told that their store policy is not to issue a credit back to the credit card, but to issue a store credit. In other words, they force you to purchase something from their store rather than shop at a store that has a better return policy. Warning: Dont EVER purchase a major item from Best Buy.

We believed LGs advertisements and trusted that they would stand behind their product. The expensive French Door Refrigerator/Freezer (LFCS31626S) has given us nothing but trouble. LG has sent repair technicians several times who have gone so far as to replace the control board (twice) and the compressor complete with solder smoke wafting through our air during a 2-4 hour repair job. Still, in spite of being set at 36 degrees F, the temperature cycles from 45 degrees F to an unsafe 60 degrees F. The last technician who worked on the thing told us that he did all he could, and, within a week, we had the same problem all over again (we called that technician for help but he no longer answered our calls). Meanwhile, weve lost tons of food and have to shuffle things into a standing freezer for salvage. This has been going on for about a year. Rather than do the right thing and replace the unit with a new, good one, LG now wants us to break COVID-19 isolation for yet another failed repair attempt. Most recently, we were handed over the Executive Team where a member picked-up and held the phone line open for over 2 hrs before hanging up without once responding to our repeated pleas that he/she speak. We are beyond frustrated. In fact, we are feeling betrayed. Please help!

The machine starts at 57 min. wash 9 normal load, cottons) but after an hour is still spinning, draining & refilling. The first time I noticed this, it was spinning for over 3 hrs. until I stopped it. Not only that, the clothes come out about as dirty as they went in. The machine is a huge disappointment.

While we were away our LG refrigerator, LMXS30776D/02 model, compressor quit working. We lost all our food in freezer and refrigerator compartments. Our home and refrigerator has a horrific smell, I havent been able to neutralize. (Baking soda, vanilla, and coffee beans.) A technician came to our home a few days later and was not able to repair the refrigerator. Since LG knew it had an ongoing problem with the compressor, it was discontinued. Technician from LG had to order a universal compressor. Once the part is installed, he then needs to check for leaks since coils may be corroded. We have been buying ice everyday for our cooler and can only buy enough for for the day. Inconvenience. Sad we replaced all our appliances 3 years ago for LG. Poor reliability and service for an appliance costing $2800. I am very concerned about another failure in the universal compressor after reading the previous reviews. LG had a poor response and was not acting in good faith to loyal customers. This is a major investment for families, not to be taken lightly.

My wife had purchased an entire Kitchen of LG appliances about a year ago with the Black SS smudge-proof finish - NOT INEXPENSIVE! We just noticed that the finish in a few areas is peeling on the refrigerator only. NOTHING in the way of a chemical cleaner has ever been used on any of these appliances, only soap and water. All of the other LG appliances with the same finish (microwave, dishwasher, gas stove) are perfect. She is extremely upset that we have taken so much care and spent so much money only to have this major appliance look like heck. Let’s see how LG stands behind a (14 month old) $3,000.00 PEELING FINISH on their French Door refrigerator. Best Buy already said too bad, nothing we can do!!

Worst refrigerator I have ever owned and worst company customer service I have ever experienced. Refrigerator and freezer ($2600, 2 years old, and $500 food loss) failed to cool in October 2013. Had a third party warranty so called them. They sent a tech who said it was the compressor and could not fix it due to the fact that it was covered under LG warranty. Finally got an LG tech to come out only to tell me the same thing and said they needed to order a new compressor that would not arrive for 6 to 8 weeks because it had to come from Korea! Got help to convince LG that they were obligated to have parts available within a reasonable time per trade agreements. Miraculously, they found the part within 2 weeks. Tech came out and installed the new compressor, got the refrigerator running and left. Later, the compressor started getting very loud. I called and complained and was told it was normal. Im here to tell you that it was NOT normal and sounded like a diesel truck idling in my kitchen! After several more phone calls to LG, and speaking with several agents and supervisor with varying degrees of rudeness, I decided to investigate and found that LG had installed the wrong compressor. It took me 2 months to resolve this with LG fighting me and telling me that I was most certainly wrong with my facts. At the vice president level, LG finally acknowledged that they had in fact supplied and installed the wrong compressor. Another compressor was ordered and a tech finally came out and installed it. A couple months later the refrigerator stopped cooling again. I spoke with several LG personnel again to convince them that a tech needed to come out again. Finally about 2 weeks later a tech did come and verify once again that the compressor was bad. Long story short, another compressor was installed and failed again within a couple months. I then began requesting a replacement or refund. This process was a nightmare filled with rude and uncooperative LG personnel, along with 2 more tech visits that were apparently aimed at disproving my claims. In the end, LG refunded my money, but did not reimburse any food loss. The entire process started October 2013, and ended in April 2014. I have never before experienced such pushy and rude customer service as I did with LG. I know that if I had not been as proactive and persistent as I was in seeking a resolve to this matter, I would have received nothing from LG! They are the worst company! I unfortunately own a couple more newer LG appliances, and hope every day that they continue to run. I will probably just throw them out if I have issues with them rather than deal with LG. I will never again buy another LG product.

We bought our French door refrigerator around December of 2018 when we purchased our new house. We have loved our unit until one day both of the coils for the fridge and freezer part went out. I placed a repair order in August of 2020. LG outsourced the repair work to a local repair shop which was fine. Here it is 10/25/2020 and we are still without a refrigerator. I have contacted LG and the repair company numerous times and nothing is being done about it. LG has basically washed their hands of the whole situation and put it on the backs of the repair company. I got tired of waiting for the refrigerator to be repaired because we have a large family (family of 8); I called LG back once more and requested LG to replace or refund the money from the initial purchase. Since then we are going on 2 weeks and I have still yet to hear from LG as to what the decision is on replacing it or refunding the money. We was happy with the unit while it was working but since then it has been a complete nightmare and I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER LG PRODUCT AGAIN IN MY LIFE because of this incident. I hope my review helps clear the air up for anyone thinking about making a purchase of a LG product.

We bought an LG Front loading washer and dryer from Sears about 1 1/2 years ago. We immediately encountered sporadic occurrences of what looks like oil streaks from the washer. We called Sears and they sent someone out, who replaced the tub and some other items, and also told us to use a different kind of detergent. A few months and a few ruined items of clothing later, we called Sears again and they sent someone out who replaced a bunch of stuff again. They then sold us an extended warranty on the washer. We thought Sears sold it to us, but it turns out we bought it from LG. So the problem has continued and weve called LG, who is telling us that our complaint doesnt fall under the terms of the warranty, that we are complaining about cosmetic outcomes of the laundry. Crazy us, expecting a brand new washer to clean our clothes and not leave grease streaks. They have been horrible to work with. They are offering to refund the warranty which, of course, allows them to walk away from us completely. I guess well need to try and get Sears back involved, as technically we brought this to their attention under the original warranty, and it never was resolved. If you are considering buying LG, I hope you have better luck than weve had. I will never buy another product that says LG on it.

LG Tromm. Well reviewed. No experience with the brand, so it was the first time. It was very expensive 11 years ago, but seems to have come down in price. Extremely satisfied with all the options, for e.g., delay wash, hand wash. The only problem was the mould around the rubber seals. I cant seem to get rid of it, even though Ive tried everything suggested, both by professionals and on the internet. The capacity was large enough to wash a King duvet and clothing for a family of 5. It needed to be energy efficient because we do 3 full loads a week. It had excellent reviews. Repairs are our main concern. Although we bought extended warranties for the pair (washing machine and dryer), it doesnt cover all parts or repairs, but for most. I wish the sales associate gave us the pros and cons of these machines. We have more pros when reviewing the LG Tromm, but more information about the mould problem would have helped.

We did our research years ago and was convinced that LG products were great. I dont care what the pros say on their website. I am here to tell you that I WILL NOT buy another LG product. The washer isnt so bad; only when it says the wash will take 56 minutes - it may be 90 minutes. The dryer is another story. If you are drying something with straps, forget it; it will be ruined. The straps get caught in the vent, twists them and snaps the straps off. Three of wifes items could not be repaired. Then it doesnt dry. When you hit normal (41 minutes and 1/3rd of the time when the vent doesnt twist the clothes), sometimes the clothes will dry and sometimes it wont. I have come to know that reviews may not be accurate. I have been offered money to write a positive review on a car that I test-drove so be wary of reviews by manufacturers.

I bought the largest refrigerator with an ice crusher to provide ice and food for my disabled husband. He is disabled with Parkinsons from exposure to Agent Orange during his service in Vietnam. I am his sole caregiver. He is on many medications and a special diet so I needed a reliable refrigerator. At first this unit was great but the condenser died and we lost all our food and his medications. We had bought the LG long term warranty. Their warranty department is not connected to their service department but their service department does not have the warranty information. After many calls for 2 weeks to both warranty and service departments they finally sent a service provider who took another 2 weeks to fix the unit. The service provider did not receive good information from LG and kept asking for information that I did not have. Finally, the refrigerator was fixed. Two months later the refrigerator is not cooling again. Again I am having to call both warranty and service departments. It has been a week since the unit broke and the warranty and service departments have not even called a service provider to fix the refrigerator. I learned last time I have to call everyday to get results. Their call center is in the Philippines so their English is very difficult to understand so I have to ask them to repeat almost everything which is frustrating to me and to the call center operators so we do not get along. Both these situation have been very costly in loss of food and medications and frustrating in their inefficiency in dealing with broken refrigerators. Isnt that what they are there for? Do not buy LG Washer WT4801CW! I bought an LG washer and dryer from the Home Depot this past March 3, 2012 with my tax money, thinking that I was getting a top-of-the-line. Well, I was wrong. Within 30 days of my purchase, it just stopped in a middle of a cycle. My clothes got locked in and I immediately called LG. Their response was that was a common known problem that those washers had and I couldnt get a replacement since they had the parts to fix it. So, I had fix-it parts on a brand new washer. So, after five days passed with my clothes still inside the washer, finally, a technician came out. My childrens clothes got damaged. It worked fine. I thought the nightmare was over until again, less than a month that the technician came out, it happened again on 5/4/12. This time, they knew who I was and just sent me to a supervisor. All she could say again was that if they had the parts to fix it, thats what they would do. I am very upset. I have to wait another five days to wash again and till then go to the Laundromat again. I dont know what to do; they will not replace this defective two-month old washing machine.

Few days after purchasing LMHM2017ST, we would hear a squeaky noise from the turntable when on. It seemed just slightly bothersome then and so live with it.A few months later, numbers on the touch keypad stopped working one by one. Now most of them dont work. Also many other buttons are not working. The fan and light buttons are also not working causing these features not be available anymore. Next, another issue cropped up - the microwave switches on, on its own, as soon as the door is opened. So there are now multiple problems in a short duration of gentle use. I called LG customer service but they offered to send someone to fix these issues for a charge of $185 + tax. They would give only 60 days warranty and only on the services performed. They will not guarantee on anything else. It seems they know that there can arise even more problems in future. I bought this microwave because it looked good but other than that it turned out to be a crappy and expensive unit (over $500). I will not buy anything LG in future.

LG Washing Machine Front Loading WM235OH*C - mold in unit: As the other 899 complaints, I purchased my Washer and Dryer Set 5/9/2011. From day one, the detergent dispenser had standing water and the tub would get a foul odor. I read the owner’s manual and it stated that both were common. The foul odor could be removed with a HE washing machine cleaner and it should be used monthly. It is also recommended to leave the door ajar. I also called customer service and they confirmed that both were normal. I started noticing mold spots on the detergent dispenser tray and would clean it and run an extra load of bleach through the machine. My clothes were not cleaning properly and the smell never went away. On 12.13.12, I noticed more mold spots so this time I had my husband completely take the top off the machine and remove the dispenser tray. The tray and plastic gasket that allows the detergent to flow into the machine were covered in solid black mold. I called LG immediately and offered to forward pictures. The rep I spoke to, was very empathic and stated that LG will back their product and either replace or refund the machine. She also promised that someone from the Executive Team would call me the next morning to handle this issue quickly for me. No one called me. At 3:00 pm, I finally called them back and this time my phone conversation was very different - no one was going to do anything. They could send out a repair tech but that would cost me and most likely find nothing wrong since standing water and odor is normal. They stated the mold came from not using HE detergent and not cleaning the machine. I told her, “I am not stupid, of course I followed the owner’s manual not to mention all the stickers on the machine that say only use HE detergent.” The commercials on TV indicate to only use HE detergent for HE machines and to avoid the smell from the tub, use the HE cleanser monthly. Duh. Really. If I was that stupid, I wouldn’t be calling anyone. I told them I would be more than happy to forward the pictures of the mold and articles on the health risks that black mold offers. She stated that LG would not replace, refund, or promise repair on the machine. I agree with all the other 899 people. Do not buy LG. Do not throw away money and very important - do not place your health at risk

Richards Repair Man left, I washed exactly 2-loads of clothes before the washer stopped spinning and I had to call the Repair man back from P.C. Richards to find out what the problem was. Well after the 4th visit from P.C. Richards Repair Men, I was told that a Ball Barren was missing and it would be a very expensive job to do. With that being said, I went for a second opinion and was told that was indeed the problem which would cost me $500.00 to repair. You know when people purchase expensive appliances like washers and dryers from Manufacturers like LG, they expect the product to last at least 10 to 15 years. I am deeply disgusted and appalled. What can I do to seek punitive damages? I am a working mother of 3 and am at a hardship to make ends meet and cannot afford a new washer right now which I was told by the repairman I should purchase a new machine. In TEARS, can someone help me please?

This machine has cost me hundreds of hours babysitting it. It will not finish a load on time nor does it ever complete a spin cycle without reloading it or taking items out, and trying over and over to balance it... I must say I HATE this machine and would strongly advise no one to purchase it. It is a waste of money and time. My energy bill has increased since this machine has come into my home, along with my water usage... Never again will I buy a LG.

Cost was the purchase factor. I dont care for the ability on choosing cycles. I look for the material that the tub is made from. Also prefer top load over front load. I will never purchase a Maytag or Sears brand product. For me a lot depends on the amount of attention and service I get with sales rep and delivery. Thats why Sears is dead to me! Top loader LG w/ stainless steel tub/ non stackable - I feel the value of my LG products are in line with the going rate. Cleans well. Dont care for the tangled and knotted clothes at the end of the cycle. Finish quality and look of the appliances all OK.

I have had my LG Gas Range LDG4315ST for 3 months. The top oven undercooks and the bottom oven burns everything. The knobs on the front of the range can turn on just by walking past and bumping them. I have walked into my kitchen numerous time and smelled gas and found the knob turned just enough to let the gas escape. I have turned the burner on just buy reaching up to the cupboard over the range. This is an extremely dangerous appliance! If you have young children beware!! I have contacted LG 4 times and I am still waiting for them to set up a technician to come to my house. Would never, never buy another LG appliance. This range needs recalled. Do not buy it!

I purchased an LG washer/dryer pair from Lowes in Glendale, AZ the week before Labor Day, 2014. Install occurred about 10 days later, because the item wasnt in stock. Washer was front loader, Dryer is gas. Dryer is fine. Washer (Model WM3570H*A) began leaking within 4 days - first a little, then a lot. Called Lowe; they sent out a technician to observe the unit in cycle. Didnt find a leak. Next day, starts leaking again. Call Lowes and demand a replacement. To their credit, they send a Maytag loaner unit out while they take the LG back to figure out what is going wrong. I had the loaner for about 6 weeks - apparently they had to mine the ore to make the steel to make the machine. My replacement unit arrived yesterday, 10/22/2014, nearly 2 MONTHS after the original purchase. Washing load number 3 following new install, the floor is covered with about a quart of water. No leak from the front - it is coming from under the body of the washer somewhere. So tomorrow, I will call them to take the machines back, refund my money, and go elsewhere to purchase a reliable washer/dryer pair. The rating sites online have this all wrong - LG sucks!!!

Purchased a LG front load washing machine that has been leaking water for the past 4 months. Machine is still under warranty: 3 different service technicians visited home over 5 times and have been unable to repair the machine. The technicians initially claimed we were using too much detergent, till the last technician found a crack in the discharge hose and replaced it. Unfortunately, that wasnt the only problem as the machine is still leaking, but now worse than before. And now the leak is so bad, it resulted in water damage to our new construction home. Not only that, but the once quiet machine now sounds worse than before and the technician scratched up our unit.I informed LG again but still no result. From the very beginning, I pleaded with them to send a different service company to our home, but LG refused. I talked to customer service reps and even folks in their executive services department to no avail. After the first few visits, I began to ask for LG to replace the unit, again LG refused. After the leak caused water damage, I asked again for LG to replace the unit, but again LG refused. The machine is still under warranty, the service technicians have been unable to repair the unit, but LG still refuses to replace it even though the terms of the warranty indicate that replacement is an option.
