I purchased LG wash machine model WT-1501CW in 2016. The wash plate started to pop up. When I removed it, I noticed the groves were plastic and the agitator was metal which caused it to wear down. I ordered the part online for $60. When I tried to replace it, the agitator bearing was welded to the transmission shaft so it was IMPOSSIBLE to remove. I called LG and they referred me to an LG authorized repair company. The repair company come out and CONFIRMED that the agitator bearing was welded to the transmission shaft and there is no way to repair. The appliance repair company and I have both reached out to LG several times. We are both receiving the run around. This is clearly a factory defect. I am going on three weeks without any assistance from LG on how they will rectify THEIR faulty machine.

We had this washing machine for at least 10 years. The only problem that I found with the machine was when we lived in FL there was a problem with it stinking but on the West Coast we havent had that problem. We have only had it repaired once and my husband was able to do it after watching a video on YouTube.

LG French Door Refrigerator was moved to new address and wouldn’t come on
LG French Door Refrigerator was moved to new address and wouldn’t come on at all. I figured it was the cord, got pulled or something of that matter. I called to inquire on warranty and set appointment for repair. The place it was purchased gave me the number of the repairmen and the repairman showed and said he was not certified to work on LG, call Sears. So, I called Sears and they offered a warranty that would cover all repairs and services for $274, actually $300.00 after tax. They set a 2nd appointment, they show and tell me that $900+ in repairs and I only have $500.00 worth of coverage. I questioned the repairman that warranty was to cover all repairs/pans underneath and the ice maker, which is funny because it is not hooked up to water for ice. I guess he has some spirit that will tell him and guess what, it needs a new cord. I had Sears email the so called extended warranty. It only covers $500.00 toward repairs, or $500 credit at Sears, or I can have my $300.00 back. Wow, this is service that says to the consumer, I will sell a warranty that sounds great but the actual warranty covers LG for selling a $2,000.00+ fridge that is only worth $500.00 maybe and that is only when it is under 2 years old.

5 years ago I bought a LG stove. Every year since I have to replace the handles. They melt and crack and I find it unreal that any stove would have melting handles as I explained to the service rep. She told me that being it is the 4th time I need to replace them she would try to get them for me at no charge and she would call me back in 2 days with a answer. That was a week ago and I never heard a word. Today I call to find out again I have to purchase them... another 100 bucks. Dont buy from them. They are ripping off customers.

I purchased an LG washer/dryer pair from Lowes in Glendale, AZ the week before Labor Day, 2014. Install occurred about 10 days later, because the item wasnt in stock. Washer was front loader, Dryer is gas. Dryer is fine. Washer (Model WM3570H*A) began leaking within 4 days - first a little, then a lot. Called Lowe; they sent out a technician to observe the unit in cycle. Didnt find a leak. Next day, starts leaking again. Call Lowes and demand a replacement. To their credit, they send a Maytag loaner unit out while they take the LG back to figure out what is going wrong. I had the loaner for about 6 weeks - apparently they had to mine the ore to make the steel to make the machine. My replacement unit arrived yesterday, 10/22/2014, nearly 2 MONTHS after the original purchase. Washing load number 3 following new install, the floor is covered with about a quart of water. No leak from the front - it is coming from under the body of the washer somewhere. So tomorrow, I will call them to take the machines back, refund my money, and go elsewhere to purchase a reliable washer/dryer pair. The rating sites online have this all wrong - LG sucks!!!

I also purchased the LG French Door Refrigerator Model LMXS27626 in Feb. 2017. The compressor went out on 6/25/19. We have experienced all of the same problems (Ie; hundreds of dollars in lost food, 4 days total off of work, multiple phone calls, living out of coolers, waiting weeks for an A&E repair person). All without prevail. We DID have an appointment this morning to finally have the compressor put in, however the repairman ordered it a couple of weeks ago and the wrong model number was delivered to us. He said he would have to re-order the correct one and the soonest he can come back is in 2 weeks 7/25/19. The whole experience has been exhausting and miserable for my family of 7! It is mind blowing that LG would continue to sell these refrigerators. I personally thought I was in this hell alone. Im am petrified once the compressor gets replaced (if that ever happens) that it will go bad in 6 month, 1 year, etc. LGs new logo should be: LING! LING=Life Is Not Good!

Lg free-standing electric range - My stove is 3 years old. It has never worked well from the start. In the last 4 months, I have had the oven board replaced because it was shot. They recalled the motherboard and I had that replaced. Now once again, the oven doesnt heat up. Is there a lemon law for these horrible appliances? I was told by the appliance repair service that LG is a high end range. I had GE ranges and they lasted 10 years plus. This stove worked for less than 3 years. Original cost is $1,000, plus repairs of $200 divided by years equals $400 a year. Very expensive for a lousy quality appliance. LG and Best Buy should be investigated for selling lemons.

I bought an LG gas range model LRG30355ST at Home Depot sometime in 2009, and all the five knobs are all cracked and can no longer be adjusted to low or high. The cost of these knobs are exorbitant and almost costs around 1/3 of the total cost of the gas range. These companies should not be allowed to manufacture substandard parts for their products at the expense of the consumers. Whether they do this on purpose to generate additional revenues, we dont know. But something should be done and shift the responsibility back to companies like LG and make them pay or correct them at no cost to the consumers. Like others, I will no longer buy LG products and will spread the word that LG products are not quality products.

This is my first purchase of an LG refrigerator, and while the reviews were good, my experience has been less than stellar. The refrigerator is less than 3 years old and makes horrible noise when the doors are closed. Last year, I had to pay a professional service person close to $300 to come de-ice the refrigerator and am now faced with the same scenario. LG customer service is no help saying to make sure the refrigerator is level and to call a repair person. I have had several refrigerators ranging from Westinghouse to KitchenAid and never had issues. I am very unhappy and would not recommend purchasing an LG refrigerator.

I have a lovely 3 door refrigerator that was purchased in 2007. At the 13 month mark, I started having trouble with an irritating beeping sound that let me know the door was not closed completely. After checking to make certain the doors were not blocked and completely closed, I continued to hear the alarm. Service engineer called, replaced the sensor. Sound gone. This has repeatedly occurred time and time again over the past 7 years. Its actually beeping right now. I have even purchased a home warranty primarily for this issue. 2 different service engineers complained about the LG refrigerator. I will never purchase another LG refrigerator.

We bought our LG French Door (door in door) Bottom Freezer Refrigerator in October of 2014 |Model#LMXS30776S/00| when we built our home (along with an LG dishwasher, stove, microwave and washer and dryer). At $3,999.00, we really hoped it would last without problems. Unfortunately I didnt read any reviews before purchasing ALL LG appliances... what a mistake! On September 18, 2017, I came home from work to find that everything in my refrigerator was barely cool and everything in the freezer had completely melted! My brother-in-law is an electrician and works on appliances so I called him to check it out. After determining that the compressor had gone bad, we called LG to order the part. We spoke to someone who transferred us to tech support. When we requested the part, they said they needed an LG certified technician authorization code and we couldnt order the part because my brother-in-law was not a certified LG repairman. They gave me the numbers of 3 certified technicians that were over 100 miles away because there were none in my area. After calling them to come diagnose the problem so LG would make good on the 10-year compressor warranty, they refused to come out because... and I quote... we dont like to work on LG appliances because they are a pain and good luck finding someone to work on it. Not to mention it wouldve been upwards of $500.00 for them to travel that distance just to verify that it was actually the compressor when we already knew that. So we called LG back and told them we couldnt get an LG repairman to come look at it but that we knew the problem so could we please just order the part. They were extremely rude to both myself and my brother-in-law and would not even let us order the part. So I paid almost $4000.00 for this refrigerator that lasted less than 3 years, and I have no right to access the parts even though the LG service centers in my area will not come to my home and diagnose the problem. We went on Sears Parts Direct and found the compressor for $250.00 thank goodness and my brother-in-law is installing it. I still find it ridiculous that I have to pay out of pocket for a part that is supposedly covered under warranty... but I will gladly pay that just to not have to deal with talking to them on the phone again. If you buy a super expensive LG thinking it will last, think again. And if the fact that the parts are covered under warranty gives you peace of mind and they will make good on the warranties... dont count on it. Moral of the story... dont buy an LG anything. Fingers crossed that my other appliances last longer than this one did.

This stove has so many different and extra things it can do that it is a great product. It being a flat top, it is easy to clean and keep clean. The burners have very fast heating elements that heat very quickly and there is even a warming burner. They cool off relatively quick also. The oven has several different functions as far as not being just a regular oven, has auto conversion and proof and several other settings besides just bake. The light turns off when you open or close the door which is great because it is never left on by accident. The oven is so very easy to keep clean, the dripped food cleans off extremely easy.

LG 5070CW washer - wash cycle temps are way low compared to info LG provided - Cold is suppose to be 66 degrees, ours runs 50 - Hot is suppose to be 120 degrees, ours runs 75. Called LG and they said it was because it was a top fill washer, and that I needed to use some of the specialized cycles to get hotter temps - basically makes half of the cycle choices not usable. The manual doesnt mention anything about this issue. LG supervisor said they are looking into some typos in the manual to help with this issue. I spent $800+ on this washer and feel that we were duped. LG doesnt seem to care at all about the errors in their manual.

Along with an LG refrigerator which I have already discussed at the same time, I also bought an LG washer and dryer. All the LG appliances were rated high so we felt they were a smart purchase. Not so. After 2 years, the washing machine needed new bearings with a cost of $700.00 to repair. Now, there are only two of us, no children so we barely use the washing machine. For this machine to work only two years is clearly a manufacturers defect. The LG engineers are designing these appliances not to last and they dont. I called LG customer service and they could care less about my problem. They basically told me to take a walk. I will never buy anything from LG again.

It is a front loader that is energy efficient. It was a reasonable price at the time compared to other washers available. I am not a fan of the upcharge for a color so we ended up with white. I also am not a huge fan of the way the water lines need to be cleaned out. If you dont leave the door wide open, it gets a funky moldy smell. I want it to be within my price range and large enough to do my familys laundry. I prefer name brands with reputations for quality and longevity. Regular repairs would make me flip. The washers are expensive enough as is that I dont need to be spending MORE money to fix it.

When I told them it sounded like the bearings were going out in it, they told me it doesnt have bearings and we caused it to leak by not keeping it clean, so I wipe it almost every time and it still leaks. They were here 3 times and never did anything about it. Our warranty is up and were stuck with a lemon. We bought it from Sears. I dont think well be shopping there anymore. I bought LG Refrigerator Model #LFX31925ST about a year ago and all of a sudden it started making this irritating noise that is coming from around the bottom of the fridge. After making so many complaints to LG explaining to them about my problem they were telling me that the fridge was not sitting on a level floor. Making a long story short after a long battle with LG they finally send a technician to fix my problem. He told me to take all the food out of the freezer and he removed the panel that was covering the fan and replaced it with a panel that has a heater. When I asked him why he admitted to me about the design flawed where the fan builds ice and thats where the noise was coming from. He said the new panel has a built in heater so it will not build ice and that he is going around and changing this panel for customers who complain about this problem. For LG not to admit this problem and giving me the run around for more than a year was unacceptable. Had I not bought the extended warranty they would have not bothered to even do anything about it. This is being disingenuous and unfair business practice. So if you have noise problem call LG and ask them straightforward to come and change the panel regardless it being out of warranty or not. Sad but true!

I purchased my refrigerator in 2017. Sometime between July 13 - 24th 2021 (I was on vacation) my refrigerators compressor failed. The refrigerator is still under factory warranty and, I have additional extended warranty. I have spent the last month since July 24th trying to get a replacement/reimbursement for my refrigerator because the service technician they sent out deemed my refrigerator a BioHazard due to the food decomp in the freezer that was kept at room temperature for the compressor fail date until we returned on the 24th.Claims has tried to force a settlement for me to take. That is more of an insult than an offer. Less than half of what was paid for it. This refrigerator was part of a class action lawsuit for the exact reason mine failed and they will not adhere to their own settlement. My opinion is to not purchase an LG. I wish I had purchased a different suite of appliances. Hindsight is always 20/20. Pray you dont have to call. I have to stay on wait to get through for 1 - 2 hours.

I am the owner of a 2 year old LG French door refrigerator that failed over
I am the owner of a 2 year old LG French door refrigerator that failed over Thanksgiving. Being it was the holidays, I took to dealing with the matter immediately by contacting LGs customer service department. In the initial conversation, we determined that the issue was likely the compressor, which if true, would be covered under warranty. Learning that an authorized technician was needed to service the appliance I was then given a phone number to a local service dealer in the Scottsdale area. This company did not return my call but, I was able to get through the week after Thanksgiving. They told me that they had only one technician on staff authorized and he was out of town for 3 weeks. This was not acceptable being the holidays and the fact that we had a full house.Through my own inquiry, I found one repair service willing to work on LG appliances... most would not because they have a pretty bad reputation it appears. The only issue, was that we needed to have him authorized. This I was able to begin through a chat with a member of the LG customer service department, however, the authorization was never put forward I was to discover. This required another online chat, some apologies and eventually a successful authorization for my serviceman. Now able to open the back of the appliance, indeed it was discovered to be an issue with leaking coolant and a faulty part (parts). Now began the test of getting the parts (under warranty) ordered and delivered to my repairman. The part was ordered and we waited. I requested that someone contact me to let me know when it would arrive. This was wishful thinking. I opened another chat to see where the part was and the LG agent could not find any information and asked for a PON number which I did not have. He said perhaps the part was on back order. To shorten a very long litany of my technician and myself spending hours of precious time getting the runaround with (excuse me) a very incompetent customer service system; my repairman was told after many conversations with the parts dept., that 30 day deadline was expired and we have to start all over again. So another chat last week resulted in a request for authorization again and I was told a rush request would be made for second authorization. I was also again promised that the agent would keep me posted. Yea right. Having no fridge for the holidays with a houseful of family is frustrating in and of itself and 2K plus fridge should not fail in just two years; add a complete run-around by the folks we trusted with hard earned money with their brand over many other choices on the market, to simply supply a part and authorize and repair completely beside myself. All I need is a warrantied part, a second authorization (since time expired because of LG inefficiency), an LG customer service person who will see the process through and an attempt by LG to stand by its motto; life is good. I believe all agree that those requests are reasonable. To date I have had 6 chats average 40 minutes each, three long phone calls, a long wait for the supervisor but disconnected after 20 minutes, 4 letter submissions and a technician about to give up because of time lost from numerous calls to the parts department and total frustration. The fridge failed 11-24-16 and todays date is 1-13-17 and zero success. If anyone knows of a way I can pressure these people for one or two damned parts; (that my service guy could have fixed it in one hour two months ago) please let me know.

I own an LG dryer (Model: DLG5988W) just over five years now. This past summer, I noticed a noise and the felt along the rim inside the drum was coming out. I notified the service company and they ridiculously removed the felt--had to scrape glue from the unit. This took about three hours--the service person was outside in heat applying the new glue and the new felt to the drum. Keep in the mind that the entire unit needs to be taken apart to do this. When he was finished, he said that they could have ordered an entirely new drum and not have to remove and reapply the felt--but they chose to do it this way.Three months later, I noticed some markings on my clothing, sheets, blankets, and white clothing. The felt is coming out again and the noise has returned. We have contacted the service company who says that our warranty was just up about two months ago. They originally charged us approximately $300+ and now, they say that the drum needs to be replaced and it would cost about $600+.We want it replaced and the original cost be deducted, since the problem was a temporary fix. Now, they wont even return our calls. So I continue to put aside all the ruined clothing, blankets, etc. I will never ever give LG my business. I also own the frontload washer, which, by the way, smells all the time. I remember growing up and the washer and dryer lasted 15+ years. LG sucks!

I bought a new LG filter head (AKN729490003) and even it does not work. Calling Costco and LG has no help because only 2 months more than 2-year warranty. I tried a professional appliance for help, even they could not help. I am sure it is manufacturing defect and there is no recall. This means I have to trash this LG refrigerator just in 2-year. I would not recommend anyone to buy LG refrigerator and get frustrated like me.

LG Dishwasher Model LDF7932ST, leaking door seal several months after buying the dishwasher. The bottom rack caught on the thin metal that houses the door seal molding it bending it. I bent it back but it keeps happening. This is such a poor design. After it got bent back and forth so many times, my dishwasher is now unusable. I have a $900 piece of scrap and that is being kind the thin metal that houses the door seal that is welded in crap. We have been unable to purchase the replacement parts. We have to keep putting towels under the dishwasher to wash dishes. This is ridiculous to have such an expensive dishwasher that turned to crap so quickly. If anyone can be of any help, please write.

After owning my top load LG washing machine for 4 years, I began getting the UE message on every wash that the unit was off balance. Should have started reading all the previous complaints... well I didnt. Then on Jan. 7, 2017 I received the LE message and the unit stopped working all together and smelling like it was on fire inside. I called the LG customer service where I was told I was out of warranty that they could sell me a one time fix for $305, this would include a technician coming out diagnosing the issue and all parts and labor. I paid for it, the first repairman came (1/13/17) he unplugged the machine, pressed start and then power for 10 seconds each, plugged it back in and told my husband it was fixed... NOT... I called back, they told me they would send a new technician. He came out on 1/16/17 and said the issue was UNDER WARRANTY (10 year warranty on motor) and the motor is SHOT. He would order the parts and come back out... when... he didnt know. Today is 1/30/17 and after speaking to the repairman who is STILL waiting to get the parts from LG... I spent ONE AND 1/2 HOUR on HOLD with LG and got NO RESPONSE... THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHEN HELL GET THE PARTS. Im at my wits end and just want to get my $305 back and go buy a new machine. I am so disappointed in LG and will never purchase another LG product.

I have the stackable. It cleans like any other and of course, no agitator. I have have the front load washer & dryer (top and bottom mount) for about four years and have not had any issues. I am not a fan of the less water it uses, but so far I believe it cleans nicely. It plays a tune when you turn it on and when the cycle ends. They have a much nicer appearance than the top loaders.

We bought the refrigerator in Feb 2020. A few months later, the ice maker stopped working. Service guy had to come back 5 times to finally fix it. For some reason, the model we have was built with a special ice maker. Last month, we started hearing a loud humming sound. When you open any door, it will stop then starts after you close the door. We called service and they did a smart diagnosis via phone and said it looks like I have an ice build-up by the fan and I need to defrost the refrigerator for 8 hours. Defrosted it and after a week, we got an FF error code on the ref. We are defrosting again and see what happens. Never had this problem with a refrigerator before. Hope this get fixed right away.

Stay far away from LG and specifically the LG French Door with bottom freez
Stay far away from LG and specifically the LG French Door with bottom freezer drawer models. In general the mechanical design of the LG is 1) stupid and 2) unreliable, and 3) the service call center is staffed by script reading drones that give no useful information or satisfaction! My LG model LFX28978 is technically designed for the convenience of LG not the customer or service companies. First problem - the ice maker. Poorly designed so that the cable energizing the cube tray rotation motor was too short and managed to pull itself apart. New Ice maker needed. Second problem freezer not cold enough. Freezer Fan motor would not function. Resolution was to REPLACE the entire motherboard for the whole refrigerator unit! There are no simple relays to turn fans, lights and other necessary apparatus on and off; it all comes from the Motherboard (on board computer) so replacing that is the only answer. That is like designing a high end laptop or desktop where the CPU has to be replaced to resolve a key stroke problem! Next, water would not flow into the unit for the ice maker or the water dispenser? Problem is that at the main water input from the hose to the refrigerator there is a very complicated system where the water comes in and then goes up into the refrigerator cabin through a replaceable filter then back down the intake valve where there are more lines and solenoid valves to then feed the Ice Maker and Water dispenser? These are all controlled by (yes you guessed it) the main computer board! There is more but you get the idea. By the way, dont expect a reasonable service response. It is not part of the LG DNA. It is tedious and contra instinctive. The contract service people who come to work on our LG refrigerator love it. Quote our last service tech LG is great. That is how I can afford have all the things my family really likes! Without LG I couldnt make nearly as good a living.

Bought my fridge in June of 2014, the freezer stopped working in July or August of 2014. We have had repairmen visit almost weekly for 3 months. Now both the fridge and freezer dont work and I have paid LG service $225 out of pocket to waste my time. When I call, customer service representatives scold me because my fridge is out of warranty and they often disconnect me. The technician told me that a specialist has to deem the fridge not repairable and when I call to ask for a specialist, customer service tells me that all technicians are specialists. They are great at giving the runaround. Customer Service told me I should consider hiring a 3rd party vendor for repair service (and pay them too). I was provided 2 vendor phone numbers. Thats LGs way of saying we stole your money, stop bothering us. LG only sends repair confirmations if you schedule an appointment online. They hide records of follow up visits and there are no records of repair visits scheduled by phone. This makes it difficult to seek recourse through the small claims process which is the intent of withholding documentation.

I purchased my LG dishwasher on april 11, 2015. I did not purchase an extended warranty as LG was supposed to be a high end appliance company and felt the product would not require service right away. However, I was wrong. One week after my 1 year purchase date, the dishwasher had an oe error code flashing one morning, which I did not know what that meant. So I continue to use it and instead of running at night while sleeping I decided to run before we went to bed. The dishwasher when first starting had a loud grinding noise, which sounded like it was trying to take off and start flying.I went online to find that this is a problem with the dishwasher and the company does not back their warranty. I started a chat at 8:38 to resolve the issue and remained on the chat until 10:52, with no resolution. I then called the company direct. Spoke with a rep and a supervisor, both of which informed me my dishwasher had no warranty. Only after I had to contact Sears, get a duplicate receipt, upload it to them and they reviewed it. Since I got a discount on my dishwasher due to the door having had swirl marks on the front it voided any extended warranty. Therefore, I like many others will have to pay a serviceman to come repair my dishwasher that I purchased just over a year ago. I would tell anyone looking for any type of appliance. Do not buy LG anything!!! Their customer service is awful and their warranty is ridiculous.Update 5/13/16: I received from LG names and numbers of authorized repairman in our area. Called their repairman, was told by them Oh, maam, you are not in my service area. So, therefore, I have no one to service my dishwasher.

Have an LG French Door Refrigerator. After 18 mo. the compressor died. It took LG 6 weeks to figure out that they could not find an LG certified repair technician in our area. They refused to tell us how they would respond, and then gave us a refund, but refused to repair/replace the unit. They do not answer calls/faxes, and do not seem to care about their customers. I spent a total of over 20 hours on calls/emails/faxes. Every call involved 15-35 minutes on hold before getting to a live person. They kept passing me from one department to another. Totally frustrating experience. Would never buy LG again.

Updated on 09/09/2019: In mid June the compressor on our until went out. Repair technicians came and replaced the compressor. That lasted 2 weeks and they had to come again and they replaced a hose they said had a pin sized leak. 2 weeks later the unit failed and a different company came to check the unit. He cleaned out some things and refilled refrigerant. Well 3 weeks after that it failed again. The technician advised he didn’t know what was wrong. He thought replacing the compressor again along with the coils might help but wasn’t sure what was wrong with it. All he did was refill refrigerant. LG promised us that the 4 call would be the one to determine if our 3.5 year old fridge was repairable. It did not cool and we have thrown out countless hundreds of dollars in food.LG is now telling us to call back tomorrow and they will send out a different technician to see what is wrong with it!! OMG!! LG, your refrigerators don’t work and you know it. Mind you it takes anywhere from 5-7 days for a technician to even come each and every time we have called. We live out of coolers and are completely frustrated with LG! I would never advise anyone to purchase an LG refrigerator.Original Review: Our few year old, expensive refrigerator/freezer stopped cooling in early June. We contacted LG and they sent out a repairman 3 days later who did not have a compressor in hand and had to order it. So over a week after we called our refrigerator was fixed, BUT, for now only 2 weeks then it died again. The repair people came out and said there was a pinhole leak in a hose and they replaced it and put in new refrigerant and so on. Well, it lasted 2 weeks again and a different repair company came and basically said he would clean out the hoses and he refilled the refrigerant. It had lasted 3 weeks this time!My fridge has been at a solid 69 degrees and the freezer at 55. It has taken over a week to get someone here. LG claims they will replace or give a refund for the fridge this time. I have thrown out several upon several hundreds of dollars of food. Lg knows they have a defect in the linear compressor and they just need to replace the refrigerators that have issues. Each time we call it has taken over a week to get it fixed and it seems like it’s only a temporary solution.

Purchased a freezer on the bottom, French door on top refrigerator that ran for six months. When I called LG to repair, I was told originally that I was not in their repair area (A&E). After much discussion, they decided to send someone out (from Sears, not A&E) and my earliest appointment was three weeks away. I had to rent a refrigerator. When they called to say they would be there after lunch, I made the wrong assumption that it would be at least 12:30 to 1:00 pm. Wrong, they got there at 12:15, I did not get there until 12:30 after leaving work. I was not aware that 12:15 was considered after lunch. They would not come back and now I had to wait another three weeks for someone. Again they will not tell me what time they will arrive, just between 8 and 5, even though I requested an afternoon appointment rather than take off all day from work. Very unsatisfied with the service of the refrigerator and the service of their outside repair contractor. If parts have to be ordered, it will be additional time on top of the six weeks I have already waited.

My boyfriend and I ordered a LG fridge online on June 25th for $1804.13. It was to be delivered on June 30th. My boyfriend left work to meet LG at our house. Two men took the fridge off the truck and out of the box and the back was damaged all smashed. My boyfriend told them we did not want that one and they took it back. LG never contacted us to when a new one would be delivered. I called them (on hold too long) and they told me they could not get another one here until July 11th. I couldnt believe it, I asked why so long and LG said that is the next date a truck could get to my location. I thought since it was their mistake maybe they should go a little out of their way for a customer, but no, there was nothing they could or would do. So 12 days without a fridge. We had to use a cooler just for water, milk and half for our coffee, buying ice constantly. We went out to eat a lot, which is really expensive. It was a nightmare! I called LG again and complained to a Manager/Supervisor and had to go through about an hour on the phone explaining the story over and over until I finally could get them to connect me with a supervisor and he was not very helpful but he finally said once the fridge was delivered LG would send me a check for $100.00 for my troubles, but I had to call back once the fridge was delivered. I asked why I had to wait and he stated that is their policy. I think they want you to forget about it once you get your new fridge. Well I didnt. I called back and asked for the same Supervisor, I did write down his name, Jerold. After being on hold again and explaining my story again to 2 different employees, I finally talk to Jerold and he said they will send me a check in the mail. Now it is Sept 6th and no check came in the mail.I called back LG asked to speak to Jerome, they couldnt get me Jerome, said they have a lot of Supervisors located all over and I would have to speak to whoever picked up my call. I was on hold for 20 minutes. A woman answered. I asked if she was a Supervisor, she said yes then she asked me for my phone # and put me back on hold for 5 min. She came back on the phone and said she didnt see my order. I then told her the whole situation and said maybe she should have asked me what the issue was before she put me on hold so quickly. She told me that there was no Jerome that worked there. I said it was the same # that I previously called, twice. Then I told her that the order was under my boyfriends phone # and I have the order # and the model # and sku #. She wasnt really listening, but looked up my boyfriends # and asked for the model # and said she saw no order for us.I couldnt believe it. The new fridge is in our kitchen that they delivered. I yelled at her, I just couldnt get over the way they treat customers. So I went on the computer and had a live chat on their website. The woman on the computer found the order under my boyfriends phone #. Maybe they should find a better way to keep track of orders (maybe by the order #) but she said that she had spoke to the woman, Supervisor, that I just got off the phone with and there is nothing they could do for me. Then said that they do not have a Jerome that works there and they do not give back any type of reimbursement or refund for bad service or unhappy customers. It is not their policy. I guess it not their policy to keep customers happy. It was their fault I went without a fridge for as long as I did. It was their fault I had to spend a lot more than I should have on food for two weeks, after giving them One Thousand Eight Hundred dollars.I think LG Supervisors do it on purpose, tell you to call back once the fridge is delivered, wait for a check in the mail, all tactics to make you give up. Well I didnt give up and it got me nowhere. LG also tried to say it was a Home Depot issue. Well Home Depot connected me to them, and why did a Supervisor from LG, Jerome, say he would send a check in the mail. I called Home Depot and they said they wouldnt do that, they would have reimbursed some of our payment. I have never been this angry but we spent a lot of money and hassle over this, and it is not over $100.00. It is about the way I was treated.

We bought our LG washer and dryer in 2006. You can take any of the complaints/descriptions from the others and put our name under it as our problems are the same as theirs. The problem with smell and extreme mold buildup started immediately and continues to this day. We clean it weekly with washing machine cleaners, bleach and dishwasher detergent to no avail. The washer door stays open when not in use. LG customer service? It does not exist. We will never buy an LG product ever--not even an alarm clock! I would give it zero stars if I could. My biggest problem with this dishwasher is the racks are poorly designed. Whoever designed these racks couldnt possibly ever loaded a dishwasher. Glasses fall over unless the glass rack is full. Consequently, if you dont run the dishwasher every day, as you pull the rack out, any glasses previously placed on the rack, fall over causing broken glasses. The lower rack where one would usually place small plates or bowls is designed in such a way that the posts are staggered so the plates & bowls wont line up. If I ever buy another new dishwasher, Im taking dishes with me so I know they can be properly & efficiently placed.

I purchased the pricey LG French Door Refrigerator back in June of 2013 and have had NOTHING but problems. The ice maker jammed constantly and leaked out onto the floor. I purchased a washer in January 2013. It started giving a UE signal and delaying the cycles. No matter the size of the load, it kept doing this. It was serviced on April 9th, 2013. It worked fine for several weeks. By June it started the same problem described above. I attempted to make a service appointment online and it keeps saying there is no service for my area!!! I chatted online with an agent and this person (Gus). He asked me for all the information and also stated there was no service for my area and that he would talk to a supervisor to call me. This has not happened (7/18/13). On Monday 7/22, I called LG and the person (Richard) told me that all I had to do was to rearrange the clothes I was washing. I told him that was not a solution and I wanted it to be replaced or money refunded. There was a lot of discussion and then he told me that a repair person (who I need to call instead of them) would charge me for the service, which I refuse to do since this is a new appliance. I went to the store I bought the washer from (HHGregg) and the store manager called LG and there was no solution to the problem. I am not willing to keep this washer giving me such hard times!!

I like the ice machine and able to adjust the temperature to your liking, also how it is long-lasting and always keeps things cold. Also you never have to worry about food going bad because it keeps everything super cold. What would improve the refrigerator if it came in more colors and a wider variety of ice textures to fit everybodys personal needs and also wish it had a ice cream maker to make ice cream or ice pops or another cool thing would be a coffee maker button to make coffee of any kind you want. It has been my expectations, a 10 out of 10 and it was on sale and most importantly it was recommended to me by my friends. I have no regrets purchasing this item. Purchased model LDE3035SB on 10/27/14. On around the 23rd of Feb (2015) I decided to do the easy clean on my upper oven (this is a double oven range) since it wast that dirty to require the self clean cycle. When it finished I had to wipe the bottom out because there was still water in the bottom. I was about to put the rack back in when I noticed something that I thought was food in the back right corner. I tried to hand clean but it would not clean. I rubbed my fingers over and felt that about a half dollar size section of the enamel was gone. Called LG and they said they would send a repair person out at our expense. We had not used this oven much because we had been gone over all the holidays and could not do much cooking in Jan. because we were having it remodeled and only did toast or baked potatoes or something simple. When the repair guy came out he told me I was pushing the rack back too far and said that LG would not cover anything like this because it was considered cosmetic. We asked if it could be repaired and he said no. We contacted LG and were told they would not do anything about it but for us not to use the any of the self cleaning cycles. If this is true and the blue enamel is only cosmetic, then why cant we use the cleaning cycles. We even went to Lowes to see if they could get something done.... they were told the same thing. Funny thing I was recently told by 2 different appliance repairmen do you know what LG really means when I was asking about my range.... It stands for Lousy Goods. It is only a little over 4 months old and I wont be able to use my self clean. When it gets to filthy, we will toss it and a new rage but not a LG. $1,300 down the drain.

I feel like the Better Business Bureau should be involved and shut down this company from taking innocent consumers money. My husband and I have missed 3 days from work to meet A&E repair company to work on our dryer. If it werent for the manager at Home Depot, we would have no one to talk with since LG doesnt give a rip. Why does Home Depot continue to carry such a horrible product line? PLEASE...PLEASE, Do not buy LG products. They are a rip off and this dryer may cause your home to catch fire.

You would think with only 3 people in the house that a washer (WM2487HRM) would last longer than 8 years! My washers final load stopped on the rinse cycle and would not finish. I tried resetting the wash load by pressing the rinse/spin button thinking it was just a temporary problem and still would not work. Now all it does is make a loud rumbling sound. I called Customer Service and they told me that the rumbling sound was either the rotor or a bearing. This isnt the only problem Ive had with this beautiful, red W/D set. About 5 years ago the wiring in the back of the dryer started smoking. Thankfully we were home otherwise the house would have burned down. I ended up cutting the burnt wires and splicing in new wires to fix. Never again LG!!!

I have an LG front loader, and have to run the machine 3 times in the very dry mode in order to get the clothes dry, and clean the filter after every cycle which does not catch all the lint. Actually, most of it goes into the chamber that has to be cleaned often with a special vacuum cleaner wand! This is by far the most worst and most expensive dryer that Ive ever bought! Ive had problems with all the LG appliances that Ive bought, and WILL NEVER buy any of their products again! Actually, I hope they go out of business, which will stop them once and for all to give people so much grief by spending more money to have them fixed, not to mention the useless time spent on their so called Customer Support!

I bought a LG front load washer, at the most, five years ago. It started making a horrible sound when it spun. My repair guy accurately referred to it as like a train. He said that the main bearing has gone out. He told me to get a Whirlpool next time. I asked him if he has seen problems with the LG washers and he said yeah, they arent lasting as long as they should. Given that I am out of work and also cannot get to a laundromat, purchasing a washing machine is not something I look forward to doing. So we are going to keep using it until it completely freezes up. I am extremely disappointed in LG and just hope the LG dryer will continue to function.

We bought this refrigerator less than 2 years ago (12/2016). A few weeks ago it stopped cooling. A serviceman from the store where we bought the refrigerator came out to service it, and said the coil with the refrigerant was leaking. BUT, he couldnt fix it because LG only lets its own servicemen fix this problem (according to the serviceman thats because so many LG refrigerators refrigerant coils leak). The serviceman said LG would contact me within 24 hours to set up an appointment. 3 days later we hadnt heard from LG. We again called the store where wed purchased the refrigerator and then said they would call LG directly. Even then (after a week without a refrigerator) LG jerked us around. First, someone would be out the next day. Then 3 days later. After someone finally came and fixed the refrigerator, it stopped working again 3 days later! This time we went directly to the store where we had purchased the model, and they agreed to replace the refrigerator. LG wont do squat to rectify their defective product. DO NOT BUY THIS REFRIGERATOR.

We have had our LG refrigerator for only about five years. We had to replace the compressor 18 months ago when it conveniently went out on us a couple days before Christmas and now the compressor has stopped working again and we are relying on an old 40+ year old refrigerator in our basement to keep our food cold. I would never recommend an LG refrigerator to anyone. One more point we searched and searched for anyone to even come and work on the thing and waited more than two weeks for a service man. I’m done.

The first problem was (what I found out is very common) the pump broke. The hose had to be drained and the pump replaced. Paid for new pump from authorized LG repairman plus fee for his visit. Second problem, the dryer settings stopped working. No matter what settings were selected the dryer stopped at 20 minutes. Clothes were not dry. Now we can only use the Time Dry and Temperature selection. At least we can dry the clothes. Third, the washer stopped working. We tried following instructions from LG and nothing worked. They suggested calling their authorized repairman who would charge for the visit as well as parts, etc. All the blue lights blink but the washer will not choose a setting and doesnt start. We tried holding the start button down for 3-10 seconds. Song plays. Nothing happens. Still cannot select setting. Occasionally it is in a good mood and works normally--about 1 in 200 tries. The only way I have been getting it to wash clothes at all is by holding down the Start button at the same time as the Pause/Play button. Then IT selects a setting, usually Cotton, and the door locks and washer starts. All through cycle all lights blink including the orange one for Delayed Wash. Now nothing is happening but the blue lights for Start and Pause/Play come on, song plays and no selection, no start, no way to operate washer. We were told LG was the BEST brand. Lifes Good their commercials say. They should change them to LNG: Lifes Not Good because now we cant wash our clothes and drying must be done manually. THESE WERE VERY EXPENSIVE APPLIANCES. SHOULD HAVE GONE TO SEARS AND BOUGHT THE CHEAPEST ONES SO WE COULD REPLACE THEM WHEN THEY BREAK. Its cheaper than paying the authorized repairman to come out, pay for his visit and parts. All computerized and were told on the phone that the whole panel might need to be replaced. THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN.

This washer and dryer were rated about as well as any, so it was kind of a tossup what to get. You are supposed to use TUB CLEAN cycle monthly or more often (This on a front loader that is supposed to SAVE water) and after every time you use the machine you are supposed to wipe around the 2 gaskets that stay wet. If you dont, and even if you do this creates odors, sometimes even if youre careful to wipe all around. Wiping the gaskets down requires getting on the floor and going into the tight crevices with a rag all around. Also, you are supposed to frequently empty the drain at bottom and clean out the filter. This also requires sitting/crouching on floor and the first few times I had water all over the floor and under washer. Very impractical. So far it hasnt had repairs (2 years old) but is noisier over time and thumps around a lot on spin cycle. Poor design all around.

The technician had to replace the circuit board 3 TIMES before LG sent one that worked. After the first time I called LG to see if they would overnight the board. They ABSOLUTELY REFUSED even after talking with a supervisor. I also was told by LG that they would not pay for the food I lost. It took 3 WEEKS before the refrigerator was working again. I purchased my 4-door LG Refrigerator for nearly $3000 in June 2016. Within one week, the lovely in-door icemaker jammed. I had to remove the icemaker and stick my fingers into the hopper to clear a frozen chunk of several ice cubes all melted together. I called LG in July when it continued jamming several times a week - sometimes numerous times a day!!! I was told to be sure the temp was set correctly and the fridge was level. I did all these things, but it continued jamming all summer long.Since August 2016, I have spent hundreds of hours on the phone - one service company (A & E Factory Repair) came out and their solution was to put Vaseline around the sealer surrounding the icemaker and door. I am now calling every few days, put on hold or disconnected, and am getting ZERO help from the Executive Support team in Alabama. First, the product is clearly DEFECTIVE and no one seems to care enough to make this their personal mission to get repaired.Heres who has taken my call and promised to call back with a Service Appointment: July-August 2016 Called LG Service numerous times in July and August: 1-800-243-0000 and complained about icemaker jamming and dripping. 9/22 - called Customer service who would schedule service and call me back. Never heard back. 11/11 - called again to inquire about service and was told Id hear back. 11/26 - Noel in Manila assigned me Case **, which was given to Cape Fear. 12/5 - I called Cape Fear to inquire the service date and was told they cant come until 12/16 - but I am out of town that whole week. So Tamika in Huntsville ALA got a service company to come 12/14. 12/8 - Pauline in Manila said she could not help as there are only two repair shops and the second one (AppTech - 910-358-8456) said they dont come to my town. They are four hours away.12/14 - Vaseline applied by A&E Appliance Repair - two days later the icemaker jammed and remained jammed until 12/23 when I returned home. 12/30 - Spoke with Russ in Manila - cant get me a repair auth until he reaches Cape Fear Appliance Service although Russ kept trying to call them for over an hour while I was on hold. I finally called Cape Fear and listened to the recording (they were closed for the holiday) and told Russ they were closed. Called again and asked to speak to US - got Brenda in ALA. Executive Supervisor Dept. She promised to personally deal with the problem but never called me back.1/17/2017 - Tori in ALA said Brendas manager on 1/6 found an appt for 1/20 with Cape Fear Appliance, but that manager never called me and gave me the choice - he just figured it was too long to wait so he did nothing - was trying to find quicker service. Tori was checking on progress and while on hold I was disconnected. Tori never called back.1/23 - Willy in ALA said the Locator Dept is trying to get speedier service (I explained the 1/20 service call would now be great) - Willi promised to call me back by Tues 1/24 - as Locator Team might take a few days to locate repair service. 1/25 Willi never called me back and I spoke with Mark - ext. ** in ALA. She insisted she was not Willi nor Tori and would INDEED call me back the SAME DAY. She never called back either. 1/30 (TODAY) Tish spoke with Mary who is in the same department. She spent over 20 minutes reading back to me all the notes of my customer service contact and she apologized profusely but assures me SOMEONE from LOCATOR will call me back.LIARS and CHEATS - and the ABSOLUTELY THE WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE I HAVE EXPERIENCED IN DECADES! You decide!! Is a really great refrigerator worth this type of headache! BTW - my icemaker is dripping melted water all down my beautiful Black stainless steel front and it now looks terrible on top of STILL not having a reliable working icemaker! Worst decision about buying from Home Depot.

I’ve dealt with LG stuff through the years and the products that I’ve gotten seemed to work very well. Aside from TVs and others, being in the elevator business, I have bought and installed LG elevators, which were good quality products. We got an LG refrigerator and it works well. It keeps the food cool. And when it’s working right, it keeps the ice cream hard, and I like that. I was just having an issue with the food getting warm. Their technician came out within a day and a half and fixed it, but didn’t get it right on the first time. When I told them it wasn’t working, they said they could come the following day, which was a Saturday. I was impressed that they came out even on a weekend. They took care of it early in the morning and got us up and running. So I was really happy. I had a big party planned and the technician got the refrigerator all fixed up before that. It started cooling down really well, and everything was fantastic. The technician was a nice gentleman, and very cooperative. He worked with us. All-around, I was happy with the service that I got from LG. And I would be calling them again if I have any problems with the refrigerator. I’m happy that they have their own service department. A lot of times you get different companies that are servicing the product, and they gotta run to LG to get the parts. The guy we had here is directly connected with LG, so it’s part of their system. And I know, being in the business, that if you’re dealing with the in-house manufacturer, they have better availability of parts and technical support than a middleman. You get a couple of people down this chain, and now you gotta order the parts and it takes longer. But the guy we had was able to come with the parts and then he did the job, and that makes the difference. I would absolutely recommend them.

Steam washer Model #WM2688 - My son gave me an LG Tromm washer and dryer set for a Mother’s Day/Birthday present in 2008 and I was thrilled! In the beginning it was so quiet I wasnt sure it was running! About 6 months ago I noticed it was getting a bit noisier. Then it suddenly started rocking during the spin cycle. My husband checked it for level and it was perfect. We manually changed the spin cycle to Medium in hopes it would no rock during the spin cycle. It got progressively louder as time went on. I want to add that there are only two of us and we do 4-5 loads of laundry per week. This machine was not working hard for us. It finally began making a different sound and was getting even louder. I called for a repairman. He tried out a couple of cycles and said, Your bearings are going out. I asked if that was normal, for a 7 yr. old washer and he said, “I see it all the time. Sometimes at 5 yrs. and sometimes at 10 yrs. When I asked what it would cost to repair he said he would write out an estimate for me. When he handed it to me I thought hed made a mistake. $829.22! Its a $900.00 machine new! He then said he wanted to look and see if anything was under warranted. The stainless steel drum had a lifetime warranty so my bill dropped to $531.20. What kind of a company sells a machine that much to repair? Repairman told me that he sees this all the time and rarely does anyone pay to have them fixed. I dont consider a $900.00 washing machine exactly a throwaway! I am thoroughly disgusted with a company that continues to build a product with a known problem leaving its consumers to pay for it! I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER LG PRODUCT. I will also make sure that no one that I know doesnt either.

We purchased a top load LG washer from Home Depot. We were told how energy efficient it was, saving water and time, spinning the clothing so dry it would take less drying time, and that all washers would soon be made without agitators. They were on sale, so we purchased one. Big mistake! I have to run all loads on heavy duty and extra rinse just to get enough water in the machine to get the clothes clean and get most of the detergent out (No, I dont put in too much detergent). This takes 76 minutes, no matter the size of load, which most are small to medium to be sure the clothes get clean. It has also started knocking and getting off balance. Its a terrible design flaw. Rust is on the hinges where no chlorine or detergent goes. I have pictures... Paint will not help. The entire under part of the area above the bin but connected to the place where you put detergent or bleach is completely rusted out and the metal is so bad. I can stick my finger through it. They sent me an email... that the rust in your washing machine bleach dispenser is a result of the detergent or other additives being spilled that have not been wiped clean. Chlorine bleach is corrosive and will erode the finish if not cleaned immediately. If any spills should happen make sure to wipe it up immediately and the area cleaned with warm water and a soft cloth. Touch-up paint maybe use to cover the area, if not service may be necessary. How could LG design a washing machine that uses bleach and detergent knowing full well that it might get on areas besides the stainless bin and get under this area and all around the entire top of the machine and rust out. That is what happened.

Three years ago I purchased the LG WT4870C washer -- a He top loader with stainless tub. Its been less than a satisfying experience owning it. The unit flashes the IE error code on virtually every load of laundry. Since my washer is in the basement, Im blissfully unaware of the error code. So, the wash cycle practically never finished when I expect; Ive come to count on it taking twice as long to do laundry as it should. The IE error code indicates a dirty water filter, and I wonder how I ever existed for years with my old washer -- it never gave me a bit of trouble related to water quality. This unit is so sophisticated. It can actually sync to your smart phone. Who gives a damn!! Can I start a wash cycle and add clothes as the tub is filling with water? Nope! I like to do that to save time, but LG thinks its a good idea to lock the lid so you must get all your dirty clothes inside the tub before you start. You cannot open that sucker while its working. Not happening. And, in this great freedom-loving country of ours, do I get to choose how much water to use to wash my clothes? Nope! I should be able to wash one sock with 10 gallons of water if I choose. Whether or not I have my own well (which I do), it should be my choice. Sometimes I just want to soak -- I mean truly SOAK -- something in water. The control freaks at LG decided to be clever and prevent the user from exercising this right. You will use exactly the amount of water THEY want you to use. Seems very un-American to me. In short, simple is usually better, and the LG WT4870C is not simple. Dont be drawn in by all the bright lights and fancy chimes. This unit is overpriced and the product of Big Brothers crack team of controllers. I wish I had not bought it.

Bought an LG, top-load washer, 3 years ago, model # WT1101CW. There are only 3 of us in the household so the washer was used lightly. Last night it decided to commit suicide. The washer plate and the drive shaft assembly broke into pieces while washing a single shirt. I later found out, this was only half of my problem. The following day I spent 3 hours ping-ponging back and forth with LG customer service (which is in the Philippines... ie, broken English) and Encompass, their third-party parts department. Neither can answer any technical questions and will only ask for a part number.I finally received a phone number for technical questions, but upon calling had to provide a service ID number, which I dont have because I am not a certified technician. Now LG is telling me not to fix it myself, but to call a service technician. I called and they said they would send someone out within 7 days and they would look at it and order parts and that would take another 7-10 days. Once the parts arrive they will send a service technician out to fix it. So, I can use a laundromat for the next 2 to 3 weeks, and then pay a hefty repair bill, or I can just go buy another washing machine from a reputable company that actually provides customer service, and in English. Never again LG! Only 3 years and this LG washer will now be in a landfill. If everybody knew how poorly built these machines are and the non-existent customer that LG provides, LG would be out of business. I can only hope at this point.

Fridge is 4 years old. Bought new from Future Shop. Two adult person home and the magnets that hold the bottom door shut do not work anymore unless you push the door shut manually after opening and closing the top door. Highly annoying and the fridge runs far too much because not everybody remembers to push the door closed.

I am retired and live with my dog, so I bought the smaller, narrow LG Refrigerator, with freezer on the bottom. It doesnt look big but it holds a good amount. I love the drawers in the freezer, no more losing things!!! And the veg. drawer works better than any Ive had before.

I bought the LG Front Loader 4 years ago at Home Depot and it has ruined comforters, sheets and clothes with greasy black stains which dont come out, especially if you dont notice them and put the item in the dryer. If you catch them and rewash with bleach, they become light brown stains, but dont go away. It doesnt happen all the time, but often enough to completely frustrate us. We always use the detergents, no softeners and some liquid bleach. We run the tub clean cycle once a month and wipe out the nasty black gunk from the gasket regularly. I cant imagine that gunk is normal. I have owned many washing machines and none has ever left my laundry ruined like this.

Ive only had my LG appliances for just 3 years. In the first year, I had a problem with the control panel on my stove. The oven/broiler did not work. I called repair. They came out and fixed it (no charge) only to have to call again almost a year later for the exact same problem. I found out that the repairman only CLEANED the unit and put the same thing back in the first visit. Now he had to replace it. Ive had problems with the top basket of the dishwasher. Its off-track and does not stay where it is supposed to.I always have to take special precautions when I pull out the top rack, fear of it dropping!! And last, now its my microwave. It just stop turning and heating up!! Thats it!!! Im so through with LG products!! Ive been a homemaker for 36 years and I will never buy an LG anything!!! They need to stop this foolishness and put out products that will last! - Angry Consumer.

LG refrigerator (French door/expensive) had to have compressor replaced at 2 yrs, $800+ in labor, parts took 3 weeks to arrive from Korea so without a ref for all that time. Now a couple years later it went out again, compressor, evaporator and other parts replaced. It doesnt cool and is deemed unrepairable. Have spent another $905 in labor. Asking LG to at least reimburse for labor but not getting good support. Product is not good quality apparently and parts take an unreasonable amount of time to arrive. Warranty support inadequate under the circumstances.

Bought my LG from Sears one year ago. Within that time, I had it replaced five times. The bottom drawer builds ice and wont open. The back board went out and freezes and they wont give me another one. Wanted my money back from the first one, they said just try another one or I did five more times. They wont fix it so I have LG coming out to fix it today. Im still making payments on it and just want the new model. The part is on recall. Spent many hours on phone, six hours a day, 4 hours a day and so on. Well, its been a month. Sears has a very mean person in parts. She made me cry. She told me that I was scamming Sears. How the hell am I scamming Sears when they have been all broke last 2 1/2 months? Help. Im so stressed out. Please take my word. Do not buy from Sears model number lfc2077osw French door with bottom drawer.

Pity theres not a less than 0 stars option. I do several loads of laundry a week for a family of five. The washer doesnt even wet the clothes: I mean the clothes are actually dry in the middle of the load; only the outside of a medium-sized load gets wet. I called LG. When I told the repair guy that the washer didnt get the clothes wet, he checked it and said nothings wrong, thats just how it goes. Here is the proper way to use this washer: Pretreat and load clothes. Run water in laundry room sink until hot; fill a bucket with soapy water, and pour over clothes in machine to make sure they get wet. Set washer to: cotton, pre-wash, extra high heat, highest spin speed, heavily soiled, water plus, and turn on the machine. Wait two and a half hours, and then repeat. Thats right--about two and a half hours to get a load done, five to get them more-or-less presentable. Cold is cold; tap cold--whatever that it--is cold, warm is cold, hot is cold, extra hot is actually hot.I emailed Energy Star: they said that if I have a problem with the machine I should call the manufacturer. When I explained that the machine was working to spec--that it was designed that way--they explained that they DONT TEST the Energy Star machines to make sure they do the job theyre supposed to, they rely on the manufacturer to confirm that the appliance does the job its supposed to AND meet Energy Star requirements. Somebody needs to clue in the EPA and Energy Star: if you have to wash every load twice, in blazing hot water, and replace the appliance every 3 - 5 years (typical of modern machines) youre not saving resources. Getting rid of this and getting an old-fashioned Speed Queen.

Oven started smoking from back side close to the wall. Smelt and looked like it could be burning from inside the back of unit. Called LG on Oct 10th. LG sent repair company on Oct 19th, repair men said they had never seen anything like this before. It appeared that the underbelly of the stove had melted something that they could not repair and thought LG would end up replacing the unit. After several calls to LG and them promising to keep in touch by several departments from first call to report the issue to elevated with executive to liability am told the warranty had been voided due to us extinguishing the potential fire in our kitchen. Today is November 12th. Was promised another call on November 9th. Again no response on side of LG.

LG Microwave Model # LMH2016St Serial # 212 AQP3 X244 purchased on 2/13/2013 from HHGregg costing $338.99 with installation costing $149.99 plus taxes at $16.95 has blown a fan and melted the cover on the fan. It seems to me that a microwave that cost that much should last longer than 2 and 1/2 years. I would not recommend an LG product from my experience. The company offers no help at all in regards to this problem.
