This is about my front-loading washer. For some reason it ties the clothes in knots all around each other. And it doesnt put enough water in the tub. Sometimes a load of clothes is still dry in the centre when I take it out. Since its the water that cleans and your soap just helps the water, this makes the washer ineffective and difficult to use. My last front loader did neither of these things, but I was told that the quality of that brand had declined so went with LG, as Id had good experiences with some of their other products. BAH!!

Within the first year the fuse blew and was repaired under warranty. I purchased extended warranty and sure enough, I had to use twice within the 2nd year. I have not yet reached the 2nd anniversary of its installation and am currently waiting on parts for the 3rd repair! All three times it appears to have been the fuse that blew and not the circuit board may have been damaged as a result. I warn everyone to stay away from GE appliances. My GE refrigerator was missing parts upon delivery but has since held up.

Had LG, only few weeks was clouding dishes. Called customer service, could hardly speak English. No help. Tech on phone did not work. Tech came out checked and gave us a few hints. Continued problem and friend told me how to solve it on my own. Problem yesterday with drainage. Appointment today. Did not show even though called and verified time. Did not show. No record. CS could hardly speak English and would not give me any help. They gave service wrong phone number. Tech finally showed. They had given me wrong number. Person who came out solved problem. Bad machine and CS. Do not buy.

I purchased my 4-door LG Refrigerator for nearly $3000 in June 2016. Within one week, the lovely in-door icemaker jammed. I had to remove the icemaker and stick my fingers into the hopper to clear a frozen chunk of several ice cubes all melted together. I called LG in July when it continued jamming several times a week - sometimes numerous times a day!!! I was told to be sure the temp was set correctly and the fridge was level. I did all these things, but it continued jamming all summer long.Since August 2016, I have spent hundreds of hours on the phone - one service company (A & E Factory Repair) came out and their solution was to put Vaseline around the sealer surrounding the icemaker and door. I am now calling every few days, put on hold or disconnected, and am getting ZERO help from the Executive Support team in Alabama. First, the product is clearly DEFECTIVE and no one seems to care enough to make this their personal mission to get repaired.Heres who has taken my call and promised to call back with a Service Appointment: July-August 2016 Called LG Service numerous times in July and August: 1-800-243-0000 and complained about icemaker jamming and dripping. 9/22 - called Customer service who would schedule service and call me back. Never heard back. 11/11 - called again to inquire about service and was told Id hear back. 11/26 - Noel in Manila assigned me Case **, which was given to Cape Fear. 12/5 - I called Cape Fear to inquire the service date and was told they cant come until 12/16 - but I am out of town that whole week. So Tamika in Huntsville ALA got a service company to come 12/14. 12/8 - Pauline in Manila said she could not help as there are only two repair shops and the second one (AppTech - 910-358-8456) said they dont come to my town. They are four hours away.12/14 - Vaseline applied by A&E Appliance Repair - two days later the icemaker jammed and remained jammed until 12/23 when I returned home. 12/30 - Spoke with Russ in Manila - cant get me a repair auth until he reaches Cape Fear Appliance Service although Russ kept trying to call them for over an hour while I was on hold. I finally called Cape Fear and listened to the recording (they were closed for the holiday) and told Russ they were closed. Called again and asked to speak to US - got Brenda in ALA. Executive Supervisor Dept. She promised to personally deal with the problem but never called me back.1/17/2017 - Tori in ALA said Brendas manager on 1/6 found an appt for 1/20 with Cape Fear Appliance, but that manager never called me and gave me the choice - he just figured it was too long to wait so he did nothing - was trying to find quicker service. Tori was checking on progress and while on hold I was disconnected. Tori never called back.1/23 - Willy in ALA said the Locator Dept is trying to get speedier service (I explained the 1/20 service call would now be great) - Willi promised to call me back by Tues 1/24 - as Locator Team might take a few days to locate repair service. 1/25 Willi never called me back and I spoke with Mark - ext. ** in ALA. She insisted she was not Willi nor Tori and would INDEED call me back the SAME DAY. She never called back either. 1/30 (TODAY) Tish spoke with Mary who is in the same department. She spent over 20 minutes reading back to me all the notes of my customer service contact and she apologized profusely but assures me SOMEONE from LOCATOR will call me back.LIARS and CHEATS - and the ABSOLUTELY THE WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE I HAVE EXPERIENCED IN DECADES! You decide!! Is a really great refrigerator worth this type of headache! BTW - my icemaker is dripping melted water all down my beautiful Black stainless steel front and it now looks terrible on top of STILL not having a reliable working icemaker! Worst decision about buying from Home Depot.

We noticed LG refrigerator was stopped cooling and freezing on October 10th
We noticed LG refrigerator was stopped cooling and freezing on October 10th. We were told the option would be to repair or refund the cost of the LG refrigerator when we initially spoke with customer service on 10/10/2021, but a service technician would have to come and evaluate refrigerator first. On Oct 25th, a LG refrigerator repair was completed. We were offered a $200 spoiled food compensation which we have not received to date. On Nov 12th, the LG refrigerator stopped cooling and freezing: keep on mind it was repaired 2 1/2 weeks earlier. So, I called LG and requested a refund of the cost to replace it with a new refrigerator. Obviously the refrigerator and/or LG part is defective. The LG rep told me LG would not authorize a refund until another repair was done per LG PROCESS. I asked to speak with a LG supervisor who offered me a 15% rebate towards purchase of another LG refrigerator.I told the LG rep that was absolutely unacceptable, and asked to speak with whoever would authorize a full refund. The LG rep said that her department does not authorize refunds, and could not proceed with my request per LG process. The only option i was given is to set up a second repair appointment on Nov 18th with same service company A&E. I was then told by the LG rep that after the second service appointment, if LG refrigerator is still not working, then they would be able to proceed with a refund request. I again asked for a second spoiled food compensation, and was told this was only offered once a year. Therefore, we would not be compensated for second set of spoiled food. I went ahead and set up second service appointment on Nov 18th, while I figure out our next step. I spoke with A&E to try to get a sooner appointment, and queried whether they were using a new or refurbished part for my repair. I was told the part is ordered directly from LG to complete the service repair. So again, the defect is in the LG parts.

I purchased a side by side refrigerator in Feb of 2015. In December of 2018 the compressor had to be replaced. Now in July of 2019 the freezer is not cooling. We purchased the extended warranty thankfully but cannot get anyone to come out for over a week. Tell why a 4 year old Refrigerator needs constant repair. I am frustrated with LG products.

I purchased an LG refrigerator with french doors and bottom freezer in April 2007 from Best Buy. Model #LFD22860TT and manufactured in Mexico in 2007. It had multiple problems ranging from the seals of the doors tearing, the clips to keep the doors closed breaking off, the digital panel on the left french door not displaying properly, the ice maker not turning off and, most recently (yesterday), I found the light bulbs in the fridge did not turn off.The heat of the light bulbs burned the casing. It melted the casing causing it to fall off. It was also warped, as was the top of the fridge. A lot of the food in the fridge was melted and spoiled. I called LG regarding the issues each time and was advised that they were not under warranty and would have to be replaced at my expense, except for this last light bulb problem.I called LG and they gave me the number of a local repairman to call and indicated they would pay for the repair caused by the lights. The repairman came the following day and advised that the unit could not be fixed back to looking new. He could replace the light fixture and the cover but that the cover would not be the same and would not fit properly. He was going to call LG to see if they could possibly replace the fridge since the problems couldnt be repaired. He will call me back once he has an answer.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY AN LG REFRIGERATOR!! I dont even know where to begin. This is the second LG refrigerator I bought to replace the first one that could never be fixed properly. I splurged on a 3-door French Door with an ice maker and water in the door. It was purchased in 2009 and had problems right away. Within the first few months, the gaskets on the French doors ripped. I had a private company come out to fix them. When the company indicated to me that I might want to inform LG directly of my problem, I did. A lengthy, almost year-long process ensued. To this day, I have a 3-door French Door refrigerator that does not work properly. The ice maker flap in the door does not close, causing the ice to melt. It has permanently damaged my hardwood flooring. The gaskets have been replaced no less than three times and they still tear. LG customer service representatives, Garrett and Kuzi ** have told me that they will no longer pay to service the refrigerator and unless I pay for another service call, they will not pro-rate a new refrigerator. How sad and disappointing that I feel as though they lied to me and promised a pro-rate that they never followed through with. I truly hope this makes you think twice before buying an LG French door refrigerator. I have lost all confidence in this manufacturers ability to provide customer service. Their representatives can easily quote ridiculous policies that they must follow but they have absolutely no sense of a customers frustration over spending $2500 on a refrigerator that has NEVER worked properly.

After reading the reviews here, I realize I am not alone. We bought our LG oven prior to buying the LG dishwasher.... a few years apart. Initially, I did not have any real problems with the stove/oven EXCEPT that the control panel cracked shortly after we got it, like a month. Fine, everything else was working. We let it go. BUT, now we are having serious issues & of course, they all came to the surface right before this holiday season. Just before Thanksgiving, the stovetop burner would not turn off. I thought it was just my husband being an idiot as he was rushing out of the house making a Jambalaya for the Giants’ pregame tailgate. However, it turns out he wasnt making it up.... It was hot for a long time and would not turn off. HS, hot surface, was the code but the burner was glowing bright red as if it were on HIGH. Took forever to clean that pan. My Le Creuset no less. Then after that, the oven started burning everything and cooking things funny. Burnt on the outside and mushy, undercooked on the inside. Last night, I tried again to use oven.... F-9 error came up. I turned it on and off. Yes, that was my solution in the moment. Now I see that the ovens with that specific warning are a SERIOUS FIRE HAZARD. The ovens catch fire from the malfunctions according to other reviewers. This is shocking and a real issue. I have 3 kids. Honestly, I cant believe Home Depot carries LG after reading all these other accounts of LG breaking down & just not working. So, no holiday cookies or turkey this holiday season b/c my oven that is LESS than 4 years old malfunctioned & is a piece of crap!!!!!!! No food memories with my kids that you daydream about, look forward to with holidays approaching. Nope! Hopes and dreams dashed by LG. And forget about getting a repairperson to come to work on LG. I called several places in the area, and they practically hung up on me when I said I had an LG. As the previous reviewers noted, repair must be done by certified LG contractor. Finally had Ultra Wiz (recommended through LG consumer support) came to take care of the LG dishwasher, which I stupidly bought not realizing LG sucks. The LG dishwasher is quite possibly the worst dishwasher I have ever had. Pretty much had problems with it after 6 months. Within 18 months now, I have had the dishwasher serviced 3x. Ridiculous. As I write this, I am on hold with LG begging for a refund for the stove but that will probably only happen when hell freezes over. Nope, as usual... They say I have to pay for repair and then my case will be presented for evaluation by said mystery higher up. So, I have to spend more money on junky LG product to even get consideration for a refund.... I would take half of what I spent on the stove at this point and put it towards a product that actually works. The only reason I am not stark raving mad is b/c we are about to renovate our current kitchen, and I am getting new appliances anyway. BUT STILL LG is horrid. Never again will I recommend, let alone, buy another single LG product. NEVER. I wish we could ban together and sue LG. Btw, the CEO Bon-Joon Koo is worth 840 million! No wonder he looks so happy in all the photos.

My LG french door is only 2 years old and the refrigerator section stopped cooling. The freezer compartment continues to keep my food cold and frozen. We contacted customer service and had a very challenging time explaining the customer service rep what the problem was. Finally, he said he would have a repair company contact us. The repair company that contacted us is 4 hours away!!! And only service the area I live in once a week. They did work on the refrigerator and determined that a part had to be ordered for it. The repair company said they would contact us as soon as the part arrived. We are now in our 4th week without refrigeration!!! Yes, we had to go through the holidays using coolers and have lost so much costly food! My husband just contacted the repair company again and was again told that they would call us as soon as the part came in. I WILL NEVER BUY AN LG REFRIGERATOR AGAIN.

We purchased an LG refrigerator model #LFXS30766S from Lowes for around $24
We purchased an LG refrigerator model #LFXS30766S from Lowes for around $2400.00 a little over three years ago. Recently that refrigerator just died and we lost all of our food and had a water mess to clean up. We contacted Lowes and of course the extended warranty expired just a few months prior and they could do nothing for us short of selling us a new refrigerator. We contacted LG and they agreed that it was probably a bad compressor which they warranty for ten years. They sent a new compressor and associated parts directly to our house and contacted a local appliance repair company to come and do the repairs. Thats when the nightmare really began. The repair company scheduled us 8 days out and when the repairman showed up he said he couldnt fix it then because it was a three hour job and he needed more parts. We were rescheduled for another 11 days out. The day before that appointment it was canceled for unknown reasons. The next scheduled appointment was a week away. This time a different repairman showed up and he had no idea that someone had already been there previous and that the compressor and parts were at the house. He left to go get refrigerant and we never heard from him again. That was day 26 without a refrigerator. I finally just contacted a recommended local appliance repairman and he came and replaced the compressor the next day. What a nightmare! Well never buy another LG appliance EVER, and will warn everyone we know to avoid them also.

I purchased the above appliance from Sears about 4-5 years ago (need to find the receipt to be accurate) and it has been a nightmare. I have used many boxes of the cleaning product made by Tide to deodorize and contacted a serviceman (at my additional expense) who instructed me to use bleach (only to discover the bleach dispenser is not dependable), remove the entire dispensing tray after each day of laundry, dry the door seal and inside of machine, and leave the door ajar when not in use...... I continue to have a problem with a sickening smell emanating from my clean laundry. I am quite convinced that this washing machine does not clean my laundry...... Whites are grey to beige! Very often, I find wads of soap in towels which I believe is due to an inadequate amount of water. An answer to this aggravating and unhealthy problem would be wonderful. Thank you.

We have had an LG refrigerator for 6.5 years (Model LFC25765ST). It stopped cooling one day. When I called LG Canadas Customer Service Center (in Manila, Philippines) the agents were all very pleasant and professional. However, the experience to get a qualified technician out to support or repair the problem was beyond belief! The management in charge of this division, or divisions responsible to coordinate, and execute on field service and repair are irresponsible and doing incredible damage to the LG brand. Because LG insists on doing the services themselves, the experience is HORRIBLE! They have authorized a very small number of local companies/technicians to do warranty work as well, but the list is really short, and should include a much larger list of qualified service techs. I have 3 LG appliances currently. When I bought them, they were all serviceable by the company/dealer I bought them from. LG changed that a few years back, and really screwed up the potential to have appliances repaired by qualified companies with a positive experience. The details of all the pitfalls of my experiences over a 6 day period and my 9 different calls to the customer service group are too numerous to list here. JUST AVOID using LG techs to perform service if you already have an LG appliance, and AVOID BUYING any LG appliances no matter what!!!

We purchased this refrigerator less than 3 years ago at our local Home Depo
We purchased this refrigerator less than 3 years ago at our local Home Depot store. We decided to upgrade our kitchen and splurge a little on a reputable, high end brand fridge - LG. After 6 months of owning this fridge, we have had nothing but issues. We have had it repaired at least 6 times. The main issues being: (1) it not staying cool/cold, making it inoperable and spoiling all of our food contents; (2) water leakage; and (3) ice not working. The first item has been the most common, the most frustrating and the most costly to us. We just recently went food shopping and the very next day, our fridge decided to stop being cold. All food is spoiling again. You could imagine the money that is lost and the predicament it puts our family of six children in. We are not picky people. If its a simple fix, we would gladly take care of it ourselves as to not burden anyone else. The repair service keeps fixing the same things and replacing similar/same parts. I must say I would not recommend an LG product to anyone and I would never purchase an LG ever again. They are pieces of junk, in our opinion. Another complaint about how cheaply made these things are, the side shelves and the middle sliding shelves keep falling off as they are poorly made and poorly designed. A total piece of junk. Very disappointed in this product. Very deceiving as it looks great sitting there in the store all nice and shiny, but internally its crap. To be perfectly honest, next time were just going to go with an inexpensive brand and if we get 3 years out of it before it breaks down, great, then well toss it. But I wont feel so bad because I wont be splurging money like I did on an overpriced piece of junk like LG.

Well, we are now scheduled for the 13th time for a certified LG tech to come look at my washer that doesnt work. This is the replacement machine for the first one that didnt work. After several calls to LGs 800 #, I was transferred to Robert in the executive call center (ha ha). At least he spoke English. He acted like he was concerned about the problem I was having and was going to help get it resolved. He talked to their techs, called the local service company, claimed to have had parts sent out and a service appointment scheduled. I was to receive a call when the parts arrived (2-3 days) to schedule a time that would be convenient for me (ha ha). Well, its been 4 days and no call, so I called the local service company and they had received nothing from LG. They had a call but nothing had been scheduled, no parts sent, and no authorization for service. Surprise, surprise, surprise!I called LG again, asked for Robert, and instead I got some silly girl that did not have a clue. I insisted that I wanted to speak to Robert and was finally transferred to him. I am not sure if it was the person I spoke with before but this time it was a new story. No parts were being ordered. They would have the tech come look at the machine and go from there. So it will be another week with a broken washing machine. It took 6 hours to do 2 loads of laundry. The machine continues to think it had an unbalanced load and fill to the top with water. Never really washes clothes, just fills, jiggles and few minutes, drains and starts over. Definitely energy efficient!

My wife and I purchased an LG refrigerator (model LSXS26366S/02) two years ago and we were happy with our purchase. However, four weeks ago, the refrigerator stopped working. A service technician has attempted to repair the fridge on three occasions but has been unsuccessful. The next scheduled service call is eleven days from now (July 9th). So, we will be without a refrigerator for over a month and a half!We are completely dissatisfied with LGs lackluster response to this issue as well has the service company they sent to repair the unit. Unfortunately, I cant change service companies because I was told there are no others in my area. A service technician should repair this unit on the first visit. We are so hopeful the fourth attempt to fix this unit is successful! We have 2 adults and 2 kids in our household. Living without a refrigerator in this summer heat for such a long period of time is unbearable. Im reaching out to you with the hope you can help us. If there is anything you can do to expedite the repair of our refrigerator, we would greatly appreciate it.

I bought my LG Electric range just over a year ago. We knew the front knobs were very sensitive but didnt realize how bad until it my husband was cleaning the kitchen, set the Ninja on the stovetop while cleaning the island. Seems he leaned against the knobs and 2 turned on. He went out to empty the trash and by the time he got back in, we had fire. Both Ninja and Range were burned beyond repair. Our new backsplash will have to be repaired. Well need to repaint some. But no one was hurt. No pets hurt. I immediately, naively wrote to the President of LG. Nothing. Tried again a couple days later. I did receive a phone call from a Sheena Turner in Alabama with the title of President Liaison/Voice of Customer. She said she could send someone out but needed the serial #. Theres NO SERIAL NUMBER on the range. Isnt that convenient? Both my husband and I have gone over the range several times. Ive taken pictures and sent to her to prove theres no serial number. Thats when she stopped communicating. So, oh well. She cant help. So like the rest of their customers with this problem, Im just screwed and they dont care. Then I visited Consumer Affairs to see if we were the only ones with this problem. Apparently allot of us have the same problem. So I sat down, copied and pasted to Word every review that pertained to the knobs, back 4 years, 52 bad/frustrated reviews. Ive printed out and will write a letter to Home Depot, Lowes, Best Buy and The Consumer Product Safety Commission with copies of the 16 pages of reviews I have. This will be sent USPS certified mail to each with return receipt to make sure each received.I want to be sure each of the retail stores know they are selling dangerous products and the CPSC surely needs to take a look at this. Maybe nothing will come of it, but these stores need to be put on notice and when something bad does finally happen and sadly it will. contact me. Ill have proof they were notified. For me, Im tossing the range. I wont have it in my house and its damaged anyway. My last email to Ms. Sheena (she hasnt returned an email since I told her I cant find a serial number on my range). How are you going to feel when someone dies in a fire caused by an LG range. You work for this company. Are you going to be able to look yourself in the mirror? No response. I purchased this refrigerator, model LFD22860ST, from Sears in Feb. 2007. Two weeks ago, I smelled an electrical type smell that woke me up in the middle of the night. The light bulbs had been burning while the doors were shut. The wiring was burnt. The light cover was burned and melted off and was laying on top of food. The top of the liner had begun to melt as well. I managed to get one bulb out. The other bulb burned out. One of the plastic tabs in the upper inside corners of the french doors (the part that is supposed to keep the door firmly closed) broke off. And the bracket deep inside that you screw the tab into has broken out as well. So, there is no way to anchor/screw a new tab in even if I wanted to. Its the door with the controls and water in it, so its a challenge to make sure it is not coming open by itself. The plastic piece that runs across the lower inside, that holds the crisper bins in, has broken in the middle. So, every time you pull/push the bins back in, you have to struggle with that as well. The ice maker overfills. And when you open the bottom freezer door, ice cubes come tumbling out all over the floor. With that, Im constantly turning the ice maker either on or off. Ive noticed that LG has discontinued this model. Was it discontinued because of these problems? I paid an awful lot of money for this designer, stainless steel, french door refrigerator. I really expected it to last more than 4 years!

If I could’ve given this zero stars I would’ve. I bought this LG (Life is Good) top loader washing machine and LG Dryer because my old dryer finally broke after 10 years of usage. My previous washing Machine worked fine but the wife wanted the new LG dryer to match a new LG washing machine. So we bought the set. After maybe 4-5 years I noticed some rust on the inside of the body of the washer. Well that rust spot got bigger and more rust spots began to pop up. After many failed attempts with LG customer service and their service technician in my area the end results were that they would not repair or replace the washer. It is considered a cosmetic issue. The rust has dropped into the washer with the clean clothes defeating the purpose of cleaning the clothes. It now has become a hassle pulling the so called clean clothes out of the washer without touching the sides or the top because it’s all rusty. I’ve sent LG pictures of the rust at their request with no response. During the time of purchase we also bought other LG appliances. I’ve had problems with their microwave, stove, dishwasher and refrigerator. My older appliances I had that were much less expensive outlasted the very expensive LG CRAP I bought. Don’t buy LG!!

LG counter deep refrigerator - One year after buying the refrigerator, the motherboard went out. One week later, the board that controls water and ice went out. Now, a year and a half after purchase, the covering over the controls for water and ice have peeled off, leaving a very unsightly appearance. Not worth the money. I would never buy an LG again!

I bought the LG Model DLEX3370W in May 2019. Exactly 2 years later the dryer died. The circuit board died and it will not power on. I went to a local repair/refurbished shop and asked them if it was possible to repair the dryer. They told me it would cost the same amount to repair the dryer as replacing it. The dryer works very well when it has power but after about a year we noticed it would intermittently not power on. In most cases we would unplug it and plug it back in and it worked. This last time it is completely dead.

Fridge stopped cooling in early May. Its only 2.5 years old. After six repair appointments 3 of which were to tell us they could not do it that day, and had to order parts and a four hour repair appointment it broke again a week later. Called LG. Called repair service A & E through Lowes. Still have no fridge and more parts on order including another compressor. LG refuses to acknowledge the first four hour repair in May because it was set up with the same repair company but through LOWES my extended warranty. I called and offered to walk away for the near cost of replacing it. They refused so I am taking them to Small Claims Court. LG is garbage.

My LG refrigerator has shown weird behaviors and lately ER CO on display and shortly stopped making ice. The biggest problem is that the LG service team have no idea of how to fix it and now after 6.5 months of 5 visits and over 12 hrs of phone calls, they have GIVEN UP asking me to buy another fridge. Here are the clear problems with LG tech - a) Tech is under skilled - Over the 5 visits, the technicians came up with different diagnosis. b) No follow ups - There were no follow-ups (I repeat no follow-up) from LG on the next steps after the tech shared the diagnosis info. c) No handover within their teams - Every time when I called their customer care, I spoke to a new person and I had to repeat the whole story again and was provided with new (and may times repeated) steps to follow. d) Tier 2 drops the ball - Very good on the phone, but once off the phone, no easy way to catch. e) Only escalations work - I took to the social media, only when I got their attention and someone senior started looking into the problem and whole history of correspondence.f) No outcome - But in spite of engagement from seniors, the problem remained unresolved and finally they gave up asking me to buy a new fridge.I lost 3 working days to attend the technician visit and over 12 hrs of office time on phone. Total $ equivalent of this time loss is over $5000. Highly recommend avoiding LG appliances.

I got my stove 6 months ago and had the same issue as so many others. The stove knobs turn on so easily by accident. Its very dangerous, most times we would know we bumped the knob and just turn it off, but we had one close call when the knob was accidentally turned on and we didnt realize, well one close call was enough for me. Range LG as many others have said “what a waste of time“. So I started online looking for something to protect my family and I. I came across RangeSafe knobs. I saw these safety stove knobs online and while not cheap, it is impossible to turn the knobs on accidentally. For me the price was worth the peace of mind knowing NO MORE ACCIDENTAL KNOB TURNS.

My girlfriend redid her kitchen 2 years ago. She bought LG fridge and LG gas stove last year. We smelt gas after turning off the stove top then notice it was still on. The plastic on the back side of the knob had cracked so it wouldnt turn the gas all the way off even though it showed it should be off. She called customer service and made her pay for a brand new knob. The stove at the time was just over a year old. Now another knob is cracked so she will have to buy another knob. They are not cheap and this is a major safety hazard esp. if you have kids and youre not home. There should be a recall on these knobs and shouldnt cost the consumer to fix the defect in the manufacturing problem!!!!

Bought our LG French door refrigerator Sept 2017, July of 2018 our fridge stopped working. Customer service is horrible. With every call we hear that we will get an email in 3 to 5 days and that there is no one to service it in this area so it will take longer for someone to come out. We never receive the emails and have put out 3 calls to them each time we are told we are on the list. After the second week of waiting, our fridge has started cooling again and we are unsure what to make if it. Nervous to use it since we are unsure if it will stop working again and we will be out more food items. With a fridge less than 1 year old that we are still paying for we are truly frustrated! It has now been 3 weeks of waiting and still nothing. Our fridge is under the 1 year warranty but what good does that do if nobody comes to fix it! Buyer beware!

About every 5 or 6 loads, the OE message appears and no matter how many times its been cleaned, the same thing. Actually, as Im typing right now, I just heard the old faithful ding ding ding and looked over, only to find the OE blaring as usual. LG should recall these horrible machines. I also bought the dryer and lower drawers and have to run the dryer twice most times to get my clothes dry. The smell is horrible and my children have allergies. Our LG Tromm DLE2516W dryer would not start the second time in 6 months. LG is the only source of repairs. They will not sell parts to anyone but their own approved shops. All bookings are through them. I have a 2007 dryer. LG quoted $95 for a technician to look at it. They designated Priority Appliances to do the work. Priority said they would charge $125.00 to visit and do only 15 minutes work for that price. LG would not honour their quoted price. This means a minimum of $125.00 + parts + installation time + taxes -- the price of a replacement machine. Nobody else can buy parts in Canada. This is a racket to overcharge customers as much as possible.

I purchased an LG refrigerator 7 yrs ago for $3,000 and the compressor just went out over a week ago. I was unaware of the class action lawsuit over the compressors until I started researching for reviews. According to the manufacturer, the compressor replacement is under the 10 year warranty so they will cover the replacement. However, it will cost about $1,000 for the labor and additional parts besides the compressor to be replaced. And... heres the kicker, even after its replaced the manufacturers warranty date does not reset, it continues from the date of purchase. Thus only giving me 3 more years of coverage. Not good... If the compressors are only lasting 5-7 yrs or even less, I can foresee dumping another $1,500 into the refrigerator since the manufacturers warranty would have since expired. Not good at all LG. On another note, I had to have the cooling eliminate in the freezer replaced last year and it was only 6 yrs old. We dont do anything extreme to the refrigerator, it just sits there and keeps the food cool and frozen. It doesnt make sense to pay for a high end product for it to not stand up to higher expectations. Not good LG, not good at all.

I bought an LG gas range model LRG30355ST at Home Depot sometime in 2009, and all the five knobs are all cracked and can no longer be adjusted to low or high. The cost of these knobs are exorbitant and almost costs around 1/3 of the total cost of the gas range. These companies should not be allowed to manufacture substandard parts for their products at the expense of the consumers. Whether they do this on purpose to generate additional revenues, we dont know. But something should be done and shift the responsibility back to companies like LG and make them pay or correct them at no cost to the consumers. Like others, I will no longer buy LG products and will spread the word that LG products are not quality products.

I had addition done to my house, new kitchen, etc. in 2012. Bought all LG appliances including the refrigerator in July 2012. Many problems with it: Freezer either becomes too cold or does not freeze; thus, the water melts and the ice becomes a solid mass. The lower fridge area does not cool enough. The regulator is not working properly; thus, food goes bad every two days. Makes a lot of sound when the water is running through the pipe to the ice maker. Steel doors are not made of good steel. It already has small dents. When we open door and if even touches something mildly, leaves a dent. Tried calling the LG official site; there is no response. Very frustrated with the product/company. I will not recommend this product/company to anyone.

Almost EVERY single load, since the day it was delivered, becomes unbalanced and will not finish washing. Even after re-adjusting the items in the washer multiple times. On 10/12/2015 we purchased a 46 LG 30 CF 4 DR Refrigerator from Sears. It was delivered and set up around the 21st of the same month. Once set up we noticed scratches in both doors and a couple weeks later were replaced. Because we were having things completed in kitchen, it was unplugged and not used till the beginning of January 2016 at which point everything was fine with this $3000.00 plus refrigerator. On September 1st we got home from work and opened the refrigerator and noticed that everything in there was hot. So being a holiday weekend, we waited till Monday to call Sears where it was purchased to have a repair person come to fix it. A week later the man came and said it was the compressor and he would have to order the parts. Sounds good until we are told it would be close to three weeks to get the parts. OK so we wait the night before the repair man is to come we call and ask him if he received the compressor as we had not. He calls the parts place and they are having trouble finding the parts and it will be another 3 to 4 weeks to get the part in if they even come in. At this point we have been without a working refrigerator for 3 weeks and have been told it could be another month. So we were so mad that we called LG directly and explained what had happened and was told by a customer service rep if we got our receipt showing when we purchased it they would replace it. Ok on the phone for hours getting everything they need the next day we scan everything to them and are told it is our problem and they will not help us. That was a 1 year and 10 month old item. We explained that it was not used until 4 months after we purchased it. However they did not care. LG has the rudest people that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. We also went back to Sears and was told they could not help us either as they have to wait on the parts and they are not sure when they will get them. Ok so you go out and purchase an appliance and it is not to last over 1 year? This is crazy. All the reviews that I have read also say that it is the compressor that is the problem so at this point no one can help any of us with this problem. This does not seem too fair. Also, the stores that are selling the LG products knowing that there are all of these complaints and service calls for the same thing. How can companies still sell these items that only work for a year or two and then tell you you’re on your own. LG is not standing by their products and this is very sad that they are allow to get away with this. If this was a car dealer there would be recalls and the problem would be fixed for free, why is LG allow to get away with this and do this to honest working people. We are asking for help from LG and would appreciate hearing from someone who cares about Customer Service not selling poor products and then telling us they can’t help.

Update 1/27/2022:On 20 Jan 2022, LG contacted me and related that they are looking for a provider to service my Refrigerator. My initial complaint was sent to them on 19 Jan 2022. On 25 Jan 2022 (six days later) I received a call/voicemail from Provider (someone hired by LG to service my refrigerator) asking me to call them back to set-up an appointment to evaluate/service my unit. I researched the phone number, identified the provider and observed that their one page (80% functional) web presence identified that they serviced refrigerators (from their site: Refrigerator Repair: Cleaning the Condenser; Cleaning the drain line; Cleaning the drip pan; Manually defrosting ice build ups; Replacing air damper seals; Adjustment or replacement of door or door gaskets). Absolutely no where did they reference diagnostics; systems evaluations; cooling system trouble-shooting and repair, Nothing. So, using the email address depicted on their site, I emailed them. Asked for them to verify that they did indeed have the necessary training and certifications to service my refrigerator. I also stated that I would need to validate their business (License; certifications; insurance; etc.). On 26 Jan 2022, late in the day, I receive an obscure robo call relating that My parts have been ordered and that once the parts come in that they would contact me and establish a time for a technician to return and repair my refrigerator, and if I had any questions, refer to Providers website (by name). Wow, no one has been at my house, let alone evaluated my refrigerator. Needless to say, I am livid. LG not only produces Sub-standard products; fails at responding effectively to the customer in a timely manner; they completely lack any form of integrity. Imaging the unmitigated gaul it takes, for a Multimillion Dollar Company, to Search for a provider with the technical training/certifications, history of certified good service, that are licensed/bonded and insured meeting their (LGs) High Standards and come up with a company, that has two locatable addresses, both resolving to Apartment complexes, with a single faulty web page for an internet presence, a page of which does not identify any technical repairs (refer above), is not certified/trained to do the technical aspects required to repair a Refrigerator (nor do they profess to this), nor do they have any verifiable insurance covering the conduct of their business, absolutely NO information relating to their business, anywhere. In other words they (LG) simply looked for anyone willing to do the warranty work, did not vet the business or conduct any action to verify that the business they Hired were capable of doing the job let alone legitimate. You have to ask yourself: What type of a business simply hands out their warranty work to ANYONE who responds saying I can do that, Trust Me - wink, wink and hand them the contract?; Imagine allowing people who are complete unknowns with NO certifiable background, into your home to service your $3,000 refrigerator, because LG fully backs them as an LG certified service provider. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. Please note that there are Dozens of Certified/insured/very reputable appliance services in Colorado Springs; hundreds in the Denver Area.... Yep LG really did their research. We can pull up certified providers in seconds on the internet, it only took LG six days to find a business that could not perform the job. Original review 1/19/2022:We purchased an LG French Door; Instaview Door-In-Door refrigerator on 1 July 2018 from Best Buy (model: LMXC23796M; GR-X23GHMJM.AMTCNAO). It was delivered on 5 July 2018. We paid just over $3,000.00 for it. To our great misfortune, at some point yesterday/evening it died without any warning/indication there was a problem. The lights work; the gauges appear to function; it just appears to be warming the items within now. Of course the couple hundred $$ worth of food within... I guess that is another reason why we have dumps. Im in my 60s and have never in my life owned; seen or have knowledge of anyones refrigerator failing in such a short period of time, and without the slightest indication it was going to fail. I simply cannot recommend LG to anyone. They simply do not last, which makes them junk.

I purchased a top load LG washer and dryer about 5 years ago. The washer takes 3 times as long to complete cycles than it should. It begins to rinse and spin, then the UE signal comes on. After rebalancing the clothes the rinsing and spinning cycles begin again and the entire sequence happens over and over. I now have to manually wait for the spinning to almost finish then stop the cycle (this even happens with small loads so I am not overloading the washer). The washer has been balanced numerous times as well. If I don’t monitor the situation it can take over 2 1/2 hours for a simple load of laundry to finish. I have also noticed a foul smell at times which necessitates the use of bleach and/or Lysol for cleaning the tub. The dryer has been fine but the washer has been very disappointing and I’m sure has cost much more in utility bills due to unmonitored cycle times when I am not watching closely enough.

We purchased a new French Door Counter Depth LG refrigerator when we moved into our new home in April 2016. Within the first year, it stopped cooling. I called LG and requested a new refrigerator. I also called Best Buy where we purchased the refrigerator to see if they could do anything. They said because we didn’t buy their extended warranty, they could do nothing. LG sent a technician but it took over a week to get repaired. We lost all refrigerated items. After the first repair, it failed again and took a while to get a repair technician. We lost another refrigerator full of food. Shortly, it failed again within the first year. I again requested a new refrigerator. LG sent two different technicians, who worked on the refrigerator for about 5 hours, taking everything apart. I did not have any confidence that it would not fail again. In August 2019, it failed again. I called LG, who gave me a list of authorized technicians. We could not deal with more repairs, failures or lost food so we purchased a new different refrigerator. I would never recommend an LG product after our experience.

I purchased an LG microwave for nearly $250.00 and its been replaced twice by Home Depot, making this the third unit to electrically fail with smoke coming from its internals after only a 45 second operating cycle. LG was contacted and initially stated that I would be responsible for taking the faulty unit to their authorized repair center in Chino Hills, Ca. - about 15 or 20 miles from my home - and pay for the repair.I informed them that I had taken the liberty of visiting this website and discovered that there appears to be some sort of electrical defect in their microwave considering the number of failures, the description of the failures and the short period of time between its purchase and the apparent electrical collapse of their product. In my experience, an item with a record this poor should be on some sort of safety recall list before it causes an injury or fire, but Ive not been advised of any such recall by either of the two customer service personnel I contacted during the course of our conversations on August 21, 2015.After being placed on hold for an eternity, and refusing to be blown off with what I can only describe as double speak, I informed the initial customer service person and the subsequent one that here in California there are regulations in place to protect consumers against abuses by big corporations with a bait and switch approach to consumer sales. According to this customer service contact, LG boasts their Magnetron has a 10 year warranty but to capitalize on this claim, the consumer must first pay for the labor involved which usually is a large portion of the initial cost of the unit!I have opened a claim or case # of ** with the assisting personnel who now report that there will be either a refund/credit or replacement within 6-8 weeks but they could not elaborate on which. In the interim, Im left without a microwave for the duration. If LG does the right thing, Ill report it, if not Ill provide that information as well.

Words can not describe the joy I have when I use and even more appropriately when I clean up after my husband cooks. I never liked or would even consider electric cooking before, but this is an absolute dream. A pot boils over? No problem. Use a rag and wipe it up even when the pot is still cooking, it lowers the heat the minute you turn down the temperature and if you pick up the pan and walk away, the burner shuts itself off. I have considered an electric oven before but with the convection and induction features, I feel like I have died and gone to the great kitchen in the sky. I know that sounds a little extreme but after dealing with a messy stove top & an oven that I have to get down on my hands & knees to clean, this is really a God-send.I also got a great deal on my appliance from eBay. Even had a manufactures warranty. LG has been our go to brand for T.V.s, fridge and now my kitchen. The only draw back is trying to find pans that dont cost a fortune and are of good quality, also someone that can tell me why my cast iron griddle cracked in half when I tried to heat it up to cook a steak. Not a major problem. Just would like some answers.

The LG washer/steam (model Wm2699HNM) broke after 5 years. I called LG and the girl in India wanted to troubleshoot the problem over the phone before referring me to a repairman. I did troubleshoot with her to no avail and then she gave me the number of a repairman. The repairman came out and thought it was the motor. He opened it up to repair it and found that the drum had become detached from the spinner. He said he had never seen this happen on an LG washer. I sent LG an email and didnt receive a response. Then, I called them the next day. They stated that the drum had a lifetime warranty and the motor had a 10-year warranty, but there was nothing they could do for me for this problem. I spoke to an executive manager for the problem and he stated he was sorry that he couldnt help me since my washer was over a year old!

2 yr old LG French door LMX31985ST/0. Repaired at 16 months (defrost grill in freezer) $300. Repaired at 28 months 4x still not working (1/4/16 to today 2/12/16) error code F ds. LGs response to us was reset the fridge using the breaker from the electrical service box). We did and have had to do for 6 weeks. Repair company replaced at our expense: freezer defrost sensor $175 parts/labor. Main board parts and labor $175. Sensor for fridge $300 parts and labor. So after paying $950 in repairs over the course of 1 year and 1 month the fridge today was dripping water on the floor from the ice maker which we find is NOT WORKING now. No error code even on the fridge!! The fridge is not cooling, the ice maker is not working, and the freezer has thawed everything overnight (so the defrost is stuck on??) So 4 repairs and it is still not working, in fact it is ON but NOT WORKING! LG will do NOTHING like this has never happened before??? So after spending $950 for repairs and $3300 for the fridge in (Oct 2013) we have a piece of junk!

We bought the LG LFX25978ST French door refrigerator on 5-1-2013 from HH Gregg. Was working okay until Oct 5, 2013 (5 months) when it suddenly stopped making ice & freezer contents were mushy, soft. Called LG. They told me to reset the ice maker & it should be fine. Reset twice, still no ice. Called LG on Oct 6th again. They told me to get a new filter or bypass plug (which should have been left with me when they delivered) which I did on Oct 7th. Put the bypass plug in... still no ice & freezer not freezing. Called LG back. They said they would schedule a service tech to repair. After several calls from the repair people about the date of purchase, serial #, model # finally they said they would have to order a new ice maker & when the parts came in they would schedule the repair. Finally came out on Oct 17th!! 12 days with no ice & very little freezer. Had to buy ice & use ice trays in my garage freezer. When the repairman came out on Oct 17th, he had a new motherboard & a new ice maker.... Took him 2 hours to replace the ice maker in the door... Had to take it back out several times because the ice container was too tight. He said it would take 8 hours to make ice, to call him in the morning if it did not. Well... still no ice & worst now... no freezer. Lost about $80.00 of food... ice cream melted completely & all over the bottom. Called the repair service next day Oct 18th, told them no freezer, no ice. They told me they would send the tech out again but could not until Oct 21st. Also called LG about my defective refrigerator. They said it wasnt defective & they would not replace it until it was deemed unrepairable. Very unsympathetic & rude! They told me I must allow them to repair. Repairman came back out Oct 21st & was on the phone to LG Tech. Put thermometers in freezer & refrigerator was finally diagnosed as a bad compressor!! This refrigerator is only 5 months old!!! I had a Frigidaire before that was 16 yrs old & I never had a bad compressor. Called LG again & asked what they were going to do about my refrigerator. They told me that it was not unrepairable. That I had to allow them to replace the compressor or they would do nothing!!!! So after talking to HH Gregg a couple of times, with no help from them either, HH Gregg said I would have to allow them to do the repairs. You would think that HH Gregg would stand behind their products also. I had bought all 4 new appliances from HH Gregg but only the refrigerator was an LG. So as it stands now, I have a different service provider that LG sent an email to, not listing the replacements parts (I had to give them that info so they could order the compressor). They are scheduled to come out Nov 6th with the new compressor. But Saturday Nov 2nd, my refrigerator is not cooling!!! I bought a ref thermometer & the temp in the refrigerator is 55 degrees!!! I have no other refrigerator!!!I paid $2300 for this LG refrigerator on 5-1-2013. I have no refrigerator, no freezer & no ice. LG does not care!!! I am still trying to get either LG or HH Gregg to replace this defective refrigerator & I guarantee I will never purchase another LG product. You would think that there should be some help when a product you purchase does not meet even minimal standards.

Bought this $2600 fridge (LG LMXS30776S) in 2015. A week ago, noticed frozen fruit was soft enough to crunch. Took temperature of fridge and freezer compartments. Fridge: 49 deg F, Freezer 33 deg F. Compressor running non-stop. Pulled covers on evaps, partial frosting. No error codes. Got a replacement fridge off Craigslist that weekend. Plugged LG fridge back in, compressor comes on, but there is no cooling now. Indicates leak in sealed system. No error codes anywhere. Called local appliance shop -- $700 and it could take a month. Complained to LG on Facebook, they responded that they have a tech that could fix it total/flat rate of $375. Unbelievable. Pretty sure what happens with the compressor failure is that the refrigerant leaks out and the compressor keeps running harder and longer until it burns out. Cant believe that there arent any sensors to at least shut it off before burning out. Wont ever buy anything LG again.

I bought top-of-the-line LG kitchen appliances. I have had the repairman out on each 3 to 5 times. I had the standing range replaced because it turned on and locked down itself. The microwave has been repaired so many times that it cant be repaired again as the mount has been compromised. So I live with it not working. All of our appliances and most of our TVs are LG products. They will all be replaced with another brand when the time comes. The Linear Compressor in the french door refrigerators are known defects. Good news is that a class action lawsuit was filed against LG. I had mine diagnosed by a local repairman. He says he sees at least (2) of them every week and sometimes several more. Unfortunately, he was not an LG contractor so he could not get the compressor directly. I would have to contact LG and get authorization letter he can use to order the part and I would have to pay him for labor on installation. I didnt want to have to deal with LG (customer service sucks!!). I called their helpline and explained that I needed someone to replace the compressor that was covered under parts warranty. They said I would have to pay another diagnostic fee. The the tech could schedule the repair. A 2500 refrigerator that lasted (5) years and now I am paying to have it fixed. The Kenmore in my garage is over 20 years old and I have never had an issue with it. Fool me once, shame on you - fool me twice, shame on me. I will not buy an LG appliance again. Hopefully the lawsuit will yield something.

Bought this in 2014. Had never washed worth a darn. I paid over $900 on this piece of junk. The fact that I have to start out on the bulky setting till it fills up, then turn it off, restarting it on power cleanse to get the clothes to move around makes it not so energy efficient! If not used in this manner, the lack of water causes the clothing to rub against each other causing pilling of the material. Doesnt clean properly either. You have to pre treat, and wash 4 times to get any kind of stain out. Im buying a new machine this year and it wont be an LG. What a waste of hard earned money! Im so frustrated!

After 2 years $1200 washer drum literally fell apart by the main nut coming off. LG has a lifetime warranty on the drum but they will not honor their warranty. You have to spend a minimum of $200 for LG to fix it. The repairman said its common with LG washers and they are only instructed to tighten the nut as hard as they can. They dont even put Loctite on the nut to prevent it. LG customer support is absolutely horrible. I even spoke to the executive office in Alabama and the guy didnt even know about their warranty and told me it doesnt exist until I had him look it up. Then he was really short with me on the phone and told me to have a good day and hung up. LG has JUNK washers, JUNK warranty, and is a JUNK company. Spend your money elsewhere!

Regardless of how many times I clean it with the clean option or wipe it down, it breeds mold and mildew. All of our towels stink like mold. There is nothing worse than getting out of the shower and drying off with a freshly laundered plush cotton towel and have it REEK of mold. Its disgusting. This model isnt covered in their recall, but $35 doesnt even touch what I paid for my towels. Their QC department needs to work with their engineering department and offer a fix to this issue for consumers.

We were so happy with our side by side refrigerator. Until after 3-1/2 years after purchase it stopped cooling. My old cheap fridge that it replaced lasted 17.5 years. I purchased this more expensive refrigerator as I thought LG was a good brand (also bought a stove & TV by them). We tried the diagnostics available through the SmartThinQ app, and it says there is nothing wrong with it. Upon researching the problem, looks like there is a class action suit against LG due to faulty compressors failing after 3 years, which they claim LG knew about, but kept selling these. Now I am out a freezer full of meat and have an expensive repair. I looked at appliance repairmen from the LG site, and the two closest to me are based out of a home and an apartment. Seemed a bit sketchy. Also found that LG replaces the condensers with the same faulty condenser, so I looked elsewhere for a professional repair company. Very disappointed in LG as I had been a happy customer up until now.

For this feature, I am very dissatisfied and I would not recommend this range to anyone. My old washing machine gave out and I invested in what I thought was going to be a good washer. I decided to splurge a bit in order to get a good washer. I purchased from a 3rd party (JCPenney) so it took 4 weeks plus an additional 2 weeks because it was on back order. So for 6 weeks I was going to the laundromat. I took the day off work to be available for delivery. The delivery guys dropped it off, hooked it up and checked it and it was working. I did my first load of laundry and it would not complete a load. It gave me an error message. All day long I tried different ways around it and nothing. My husband changed the water hoses since it said it was the water pressure and nothing. We called LG that evening and basically was told because it was the water pressure in our home that they would not send a repairman. Our house is very new and our old washer worked fine water pressure wise. We told them to just take it back then and they agreed.Very long story short they would tell us they would take it back and or send a repairman and nothing would happen. We would call back and same promises and nothing. JCPenney has called them various times to have them send someone to repair and they refuse. Now its 2 weeks out and we, JCPenney and even the delivery people have called various times to get it repaired or returned and they refuse. Its insane were having to go through this kind of trouble when its brand new out of the box and we bought warranties on it. Im extremely disappointed in the way LG is handling this situation and I will never buy another LG appliance in my life nor will I recommend to anyone that they do either. They have lost a good customer because we are loyal to brands that are good to us. I wish they would just take this dang washer, refund us and we could just get a different brand. Never again will I make the mistake of buying LG.

Purchased an LG refrigerator 5 years ago at a cost of approx 3000US from Brandsmart USA in South Florida. The unit was shipped to Trinidad and Tobago W.I. The compressor failed a week ago. LG boasted of a 10 yr warranty on the linear compressor. After reviewing on the internet, it would seem that LG has a major problem with this model compressor FC75LBNA. and instead of doing a recall or ensuring the problem with the compressors are fixed, they continue to sell the same compressor with the same fail issue. My local service tech who inspected the refrigerator said every other LG unit he attended to had this exact problem. (Yes there are more suckers like me here in our country who got fooled by LG) Long and short LG USA said my warranty is void because the unit was shipped out of the USA. This was not told to me by the sales rep at Brandsmart who were quite happy to take my money. So now I either throw out a 3000US unit or import a compressor and quite likely experience the same problem again.

We originally purchased our LG LRE3061BD range in September of 2017. Within a week of owning it the cooktop cracked. We called to get a replacement but being as it was a newer model the replacement tops were backordered several months. Going several months without a stove would not work as we are a house of 5 and I need to be able to feed our littles. We went out and purchased another one of the same model as all of our appliances were a matching set.Now fast forward to today and our cooktop is cracked AGAIN. There was no moment where we saw it crack. We went to the stove which was off at the time and saw the crack. I have owned several cooktops over the years and have never had the glass crack before. Now Ive had the same model crack twice in two years. I called LG and they informed me that it was no longer under warranty. They also told us that there is a recall on this particular cooktop for the burners not working properly. After hanging up and researching the replacement part I called LG back. If Im going to Shell out another 350.00 for a replacement cooktop I want the recall fixed as I dont know if this could be what is causing the glass to crack. When I call back I speak to someone else who now tells me there is no recall on this model. I dont understand how in 5 minutes there is such a drastic change in the information Im being given. I ask to speak to a supervisor and I am placed on hold. The man gets back on and says that he spoke with his supervisor and has escalated the call and a supervisor will call me back. I asked when they will be calling and he says that it will be 24-48 hours for the message to get to the supervisor and for them to call me back. I explained to him that this would not work as I either need to order a replacement now or go get yet another new stove to be able to cook for my littles. He says it takes that long for the message to get to the supervisor.I explained to him that in this day and age with email and phones it does not take 48 hours for a message to get to someone. He puts me on hold again and tells me he spoke with his supervisor again and he will review the information and call me back in a few minutes. That was almost an hour ago. We shall see if they call back and if it goes anywhere. I would not recommend purchasing this product. I believe the small triangles in the glass are playing a toll on the structural integrity of the glass. This is the only difference between the cooktops I have owned previously and the two that have now cracked. I am not hard on my appliances and it breaking twice in two years is unacceptable.

I like how advance it is, its an amazing fridge and fits all my needs with a cooler, water dispenser etc. Its also pretty amazing that it comes with advanced features that many other fridges dont come with, so I would easily pick this company again. Its super easy to use, and get be done easily. I love it and wouldnt pick any other company, I do like the water dispensers, and stuff like that, they tend to come in handy. Its advanced and fits todays era of how things work and run, since now everythings technology based, and everyone is switching to more technical things. LG fridge a will make things feel more futuristic and add a beautiful futuristic vibe in the house or apartment.

Sadly, a new dryer that had to be serviced 3 times within a year. Clothes continue to come out damp, an internal rattling noise which is loud, and a lint catcher that destroys clothes. I am quite sad. :(

My LG Tromm front loader washing machine finally bit the dust this week. The bearing is completely shot and I am ready for a new washer. I bought this washing machine in Feb. 2008, so I have had it for 7 years. I paid 1,000.00 for it then and would of expected it to last a lot longer than 7 years. I think it is too much weight working against the bearings of a front loader. I am going to try for a HE Top Loader now.

This machine has cost me hundreds of hours babysitting it. It will not finish a load on time nor does it ever complete a spin cycle without reloading it or taking items out, and trying over and over to balance it... I must say I HATE this machine and would strongly advise no one to purchase it. It is a waste of money and time. My energy bill has increased since this machine has come into my home, along with my water usage... Never again will I buy a LG.

Ice develops under the freezer part of this refrigerator (LFX28968ST) which is 4 years old. I have to chip the ice out. My sister also has a LG french door refrigerator that is 2 years older. She also has this problem. When calling LG to see if I could have my tech fix it I was told the only solution was to have a certified LG repair person come to my home. Customer service at LG had no idea what I was talking about. In a search online I found how to fix the issue and also read this is a common issue with LG french door refrigerators. $1,200 estimate from an authorized LG repair person made me rethink buying another LG product. I will fix it myself and do more research on companies that stand behind their products.

I had the same problem with one LG knob on my $2,000 stove. One quick phone call to LG and they immediately shipped me a complete set of new knobs that arrived in under 10 days. Way to go LG for taking care of your customer and recognizing the issue with the plastic stem on the knobs.

I just wanted to write and tell you that I will never buy an LG appliance again. Had a refrigerator for 10 years and all of a sudden the compressor breaks and it’s $800 to fix it. They said the warranty ran out 6 months ago. Bought the matching stove with it 10 years ago and I’ve already had to have it serviced twice. Bought a flat screen for my wall and that broke after 5 years. You do nothing to help your customers and it’s impossible to get a hold of anyone. Horrible company!!

After returning home from a 4 day trip my wife and I noticed that our frozen food was thawing out on our freezer. I checked our temperature settings to make sure that they were correct and watched to see if maybe our freezer was going through a defrost cycle. It wasn’t and the next day we had to remove our food to another refrigerator that we have so the food didn’t spoil. I contacted LG support and set up an appointment for service which was several days later. The technician came out and diagnosed a bad compressor and coils which he replaced. It took a couple of days before the ice maker even started to make ice again and thought that was strange but everything in the freezer froze so we thought we were good. After about 3 weeks we noticed that everything was thawing again and I contacted the technician directly and told him what was happening. He came out again and checked my unit and found a pinhole that caused the Freon to leak out. He repaired it and all was well until about a week ago we noticed that our ice cream was turning into milkshakes so I called the technician again and he came out and checked our refrigerator and told my wife that there was nothing wrong with it according to what his computer readouts said. By the next morning the frozen food in the freezer was thawed out and we had a large puddle of water on the floor from the upper ice maker thawing out and the water from the ice running all over the floor. I sent the technician a text and he told me that there was nothing he could do and that I needed to call customer support and file for a new repair order because he said he couldn’t figure out what was wrong. I sent him the pics I have attached and he said that ambient air temps won’t give correct readings to which I responded that the temp readings were off the walls of the refrigerator and freezer compartments. No response back on that comment.I have a different LG technician scheduled to come out tomorrow to evaluate our situation and hopefully he can fix it or get us replacement refrigerator because this one apparently defective. By the way, the refrigerator that we have had to move our food into is a GE Profile that we have had for over 15 years and have never had an issue with.

I bought an LG dishwasher LDF7774ST. This dishwasher is not cleaning my dishes. I followed instructions from Troubleshooting manual but still did not clean my dishes. I placed a glass that I only used to drink water with; but it did not clean. It came out dirty. Called LG Headquarters - they sent several Local Appliance Repair Co. but to no avail (8 service calls). At this point, LG representative told me and my husband that they have nothing they could do. I urge consumers to not purchase LG dishwashers because they dont work. They look good but life is not good with this dishwasher.

I purchased a new LG four door refrigerator in August 2013 and purchased the extended warranty. In July 2015 it was not cooling and I lost all the food inside. The LG repair person came in a couple of days and determined it could not be fixed and recommended a replacement. It however took a month to resolve this because of LGs delays and I was a month without a fridge. In the summer very frustrating. It is now resolved and I have a new fridge (not an LG). I would not recommend LG for anyone.

Bought an LG french door, lasted all about a year, just stopped cooling. 6 repair attempts were made, none worked, so after months of not having a working refrigerator, LG refunded our money. Well I went to Sears, bought a Kenmore. Well it is made by LG, but hoping to Kenmore standards. Now less than 3 years later, this one has also failed. LG may make good TVs and washing machines. But they need to get out of the refrigerator department, complete failures, TWICE!!

I called the store we purchased the unit from, Lowes, who immediately told me they have a hotline number I can call and that they have a policy that if a repair person comes out two times, they will replace the unit. It was a known problem with the motherboard on the computer. LG on the other hand, in Korea, after telling me they would replace the refrigerator, after another long wait, finally contacted me and said they couldnt replace the unit. All in all, very pleased with Lowes coming through to get it working properly. Id give them a 5 star for helping and their customer service!

We bought a house with built-in LG double wall ovens. They were inspected prior to our purchase and worked fine. We decided to use the self-clean mode on the upper unit that is built in to the appliance and what a huge mistake that was! The electronic touch screen went blank, the door locked shut, and the oven heated up to some insane temperature that had us concerned the unit would catch the wood enclosure the ovens were built into on fire. The self-clean took over 5 hours to complete and the upper oven has not worked since. I went online to see if I could figure out what happened and saw that this is a very common complaint about LG ovens. So, I contacted LG to file a claim and they refused to acknowledge the issue and said they would not warranty the appliance because our purchase contract didnt specifically call out the serial and model numbers of the BUILT IN UNIT. They had no concern about the fire hazard created by using the self-clean feature on the unit and no offer to inspect or correct the damage (that seems to be a regular occurrence) caused by using their appliances self-clean feature. LG offers both a shoddy appliance and a shoddy customer service experience. I will not be purchasing another LG product.

I replaced all of my kitchen appliances with LG 18 months ago. The dishwasher control panel died one month out of warranty and LG refused to cover it. Cost me $350 to repair a one-year-old $500 dishwasher. Now my refrigerator compressor has died. This time, LG is covering the repair under warranty, and the experience over the phone with their customer service department hasnt been too bad. But from reading reviews, poor reliability is typical for LG appliances. I expect the new compressor wont last any longer than the original and Ill be going through this again in 18 months. A refrigerator should last at least 15 years. As the rest of my appliances die, they will NOT be replaced with LG.

This washer and dryer were rated about as well as any, so it was kind of a tossup what to get. You are supposed to use TUB CLEAN cycle monthly or more often (This on a front loader that is supposed to SAVE water) and after every time you use the machine you are supposed to wipe around the 2 gaskets that stay wet. If you dont, and even if you do this creates odors, sometimes even if youre careful to wipe all around. Wiping the gaskets down requires getting on the floor and going into the tight crevices with a rag all around. Also, you are supposed to frequently empty the drain at bottom and clean out the filter. This also requires sitting/crouching on floor and the first few times I had water all over the floor and under washer. Very impractical. So far it hasnt had repairs (2 years old) but is noisier over time and thumps around a lot on spin cycle. Poor design all around.

We purchased the LG French door refrigerator LFXS29626 in December 2016. After approximately 18 months of use, this virtually new refrigerator, stopped cooling and required a replacement compressor at a cost of $850. The technician doing the repair said that he is seeing many other “new” LGs with same problem. I can’t tell you how dissatisfied we are with this product and I hope there is a recall/reimbursements for the cost of repair. This is wrong!

Purchased four door refrigerator in July of 2015. For the past few days it would not go below 50 degrees in the main compartment. Freezer only 25 degrees. As I am writing this the repairman is behind my fridge replacing the compressor. I had called the LG customer service and was on hold. Was hoping to use the “Smart Diagnosis” through the fancy transmitter on the fridge, but then received an instructional text. That did not help. Online search through LG repair site recommended a shop (Tip Top Repair, San Diego County) that supposedly would take care if it but they would not come out. I am now looking at a $1295 repair through ARC, repair being done as we speak.
