My LG dryer will not spin, it just hums when start is pushed. It turns out that LG poorly designed the motor. The switch on the motor is not being made because some idiot put hard springs on soft aluminum and they wore through and fell off. The only thing can be done is replace the motor at a cost of $350. Also, the thing does not dry that well either when it is working. Dont by LG-- piece of junk.

I have an LG all-in-one washer/dryer at my wifes salon for washing towels - it has broken down twice now in a year. I bought an extended commercial warranty for it as the regular LG warranty does not cover usage in a salon. First, both drain pumps broke down - covered by the warranty so we were just inconvenienced by having to go to the local Laundromat for a couple of weeks (dont want to wash the towels at home as you never know what kind of foot fungus the customers might have). Next, one drain pump broke down and the repair guy said the drain hose underneath the machine had cracked and was leaking. My bet is that he broke the hose as it is underneath the machine and there is no way otherwise it could have been broken. The pump replacement was covered but not the hose, so we wound up spending $250 for parts and labor plus the inconvenience of having to use the local Laundromat for another 2 weeks.Last summer, my LG TROMM steam washer (which has always had the moldy, stinky rubber gasket problem requiring frequent cleaning) started giving the LE error signal which according to the book means the motor is overheating. Its 5 yrs old now and out of warranty of course. I unplugged the machine and let it sit for 30 minutes and it started working again. Same problem 2 months later, same fix. Ditto for the next 8 months. This morning again, the LE error symbol and no matter how long I let it sit, no workee. No more LG products for me! While LG is better than the typical made-in-China junk flooding our stores, it is not that much better to justify the high price.

Done with LG. The waveforce washer had to have the main circuit board replaced 3 times in the first 2 months of ownership. Nothing like spending this kind of money and still having to go to the coin op laundry... Within a year of ownership, the rust around the bleach dispenser was terrible and just continues to get worse.

I found that LG stove knobs were made with a plastic insert. The knob has cracked and I tried to repair it to only find that it cracked again. We had the kitchen filled with gas once and it almost caused an explosion. I would not recommend this stove to anyone. I searched for replacement knobs and found that they cost $104.00 a piece, but could get a discounted one for $84.00. Are they kidding me?!

On March 28, 2015 our LG front load machine was run on the tub clean cycle. It overfilled with water and the door seal failed. Water poured out of the machine and it just kept on filling. Water damaged several rooms in our home. We handled the emergency by shutting off the water supply. Hooking up shop vacs to the drain hose to empty the water in the machine. Shop vacs were filled many times over to clean up the floors and empty the machine. Commercial Dehumidifiers, floor dryers and fans were brought in to try and save the wood and tile floors, cabinetry and personal things. Water bubbled out of the wood floors in our new home.We contacted our retailer, Grand Appliance in Madison Wisconsin and they said they will file a claim with LG, but that LG doesnt typically cover both replacing the defective machine and repairing the damages caused. I will report back when we have something in writing from LG, but we are not happy that they havent responded yet and even more unhappy that the retailer cannot assure us the manufacturer will make this right.

I purchased my LG dryer in September 2014 and here we are in December 2017 and guess what... Not drying my clothes because there is no heat!!! I also purchased an extended warranty from HHGregg when I purchased this dryer (and LG washer) and guess what... HHGregg is no longer in business. Do not buy LG products, they stink and for that matter, so does Frigidaire, because I purchased a new refrigerator from them 7 years ago and within the first year I had 3 service calls because the ice maker was not working properly... And to this day, still does not. Unbelievable.

To: The Manufacturers of Over-The-Range Microwaves. PLEASE, downsize. They keep getting bigger and bigger and bigger, to the point where I have to replace my beautiful expensive cabinets in order to accommodate the darn microwave. And from what Ive read on the internet, I am not the only one. It definitely looks like there is market for them that is NOT being fulfilled. Can one of the manufacturers please step up to the plate on this? Why is it that I can find a counter top microwave that is only 10-14 high, but when I look for an OTR its 16 and up.

After being told that this washer was the most top-rated, we decided to make the move to this HE machine to save water. It has the clear top, so we were suspicious from the start with the minimal activity and agitation seen with the impeller system versus our old machine, plus it appeared that some clothes werent even getting wet! But the information we had read told us that all of this was normal. We were shocked at the 1:47 hours to complete a load, but again, we were able to wash twice as much in one load. BUT, a load of heavily soiled Levis from gardening, which would have been no problem with our old machine, came out filthy, even using the Heavy-duty cycle with extra water! TWICE!! This really is not acceptable, but we dont have a lot of faith in trying any other HE machine now either. We are reading bad reviews on pretty much all of them!

Lack of an agitator may or may not be the cause, but this device twists items deposited into a ball and finishes with a big question as to what, if any, items were thoroughly cleaned. The initial jiggling of items in such small water appears to be a designers mental excursion with little reality involved. The standard setting muddles items in a VERY LOW LEVEL of highly-concentrated dirty water due to the water-saver nature of the device. Whatever happened to good cleaning? OR is water so expensive that we should settle for less-clean clothing. Weve owned washers and dryers for 54 years and have never experienced any worth these words. Enough said?

I just looked up LG on Google to get company information because the lights on my french door LG purchased in 2006 melted the covering. After reading other complaints, I feel that my time may be wasted with calling the company, but will do so anyway. It appears with all these complaints, that LG may be a product I will stay away from in future. One of the plastic drawers broke early on but the light problem bothers me.

LFX25991ST/05 LG French door counter depth refrigerator - I actually love/hate this refrigerator. It has worked well. I love the ice and water dispenser, however, it appears to be caving in. There is a long crack at the top running into the inside of the dispenser. When the water dispenser is pressed it moves the entire wall inside the dispenser. The frame of the entire dispenser is actually crumbling piece by piece. We have no recollection of ever dropping anything or anything falling on the door dispenser. We have no warranty left on it as it is now almost 3 years old. So we are faced with the repair. Frankly neither of would have the strength to push so hard the plastic would crack. I own an LG stove, microwave, washer and dryer. I am not unhappy with any of these - performance wise.

I think LG refrigerator owners who are experiencing repeated compressor problems should file a Class Action Lawsuit against LG for a full original purchase price refund and subsequent repair and warranty plan costs incurred for inferior product design and manufacture. Our LG French Door Refrigerator Model LMXX30776S/01 is also experiencing compressor failures. Purchased in February, 2015, the original compressor was replaced in September, 2016. Now, August, 2017 that compressor is also failing. Temperatures continue dropping in the refrigerator, freezer, and mid drawer sections even though I continue lowering the temperature set points. The ice maker is also producing small cubes at a very slow pace, and they begin melting and forming refrigerator icebergs. My wife purchased the Warrantech Extended Warranty through hhgregg. Recently Wil, the LG repair tech from Fredericksburg, VA, was at my home to service the unit. He measured temperatures, low and high side line pressures, and voltage. He cleaned some dust from the back of the refrigerator and left. He said he could not stay and further monitor the unit because it went into the defrost cycle. He told me to call him after a day or two to let him know if I was still having problems. I called and left a message on his phone. I have not received a return phone call. The temperatures continue to drop. Refrigerator performance continues to deteriorate, and $3,000.00+ has been wasted on a extremely poor product.

We purchased an LG refrigerator with bottom double freezer and french doors
We purchased an LG refrigerator with bottom double freezer and french doors in 2011. Four years in - we had trouble with the food thawing in the freezer and ice maker stopped working. A repairman through LG came out and did a repair and fixed it. As soon as the warranty was up (Jan 2016) it happened again. We were given a choice - pay $294.50 for a 1x visit and 60 days coverage of the same issue or $444.05 for 1 year warranty for any problem.Since we figured this was a big problem, we went with the $444. The repairman came again and flushed the system - started working again. 5 months later the same thing happened - he replaced the compressor. Still under warranty. Warranty expired in July 2017 - Oct 2017 the same thing happened. LG will not do anything about it because its not under warranty even though its the same problem from the beginning. Now Im faced with a non working refrigerator and a decision of paying a huge amount to get it fixed or moving on from a 6 year old refrigerator. Never will buy LG again.

Purchased an LG refrigerator 5 years ago at a cost of approx 3000US from Brandsmart USA in South Florida. The unit was shipped to Trinidad and Tobago W.I. The compressor failed a week ago. LG boasted of a 10 yr warranty on the linear compressor. After reviewing on the internet, it would seem that LG has a major problem with this model compressor FC75LBNA. and instead of doing a recall or ensuring the problem with the compressors are fixed, they continue to sell the same compressor with the same fail issue. My local service tech who inspected the refrigerator said every other LG unit he attended to had this exact problem. (Yes there are more suckers like me here in our country who got fooled by LG) Long and short LG USA said my warranty is void because the unit was shipped out of the USA. This was not told to me by the sales rep at Brandsmart who were quite happy to take my money. So now I either throw out a 3000US unit or import a compressor and quite likely experience the same problem again.

After Redoing our house after Hurricane Sandy, I thought I would buy this Top of the line washer and dryer. The dryer is great, no complaints, however, the washing machine (Top-Load Direct Drive) does nothing but force dirty water through the clothes. Even with bleach, I could not get socks or floor washing pads at least clean looking. I despise this washing machine and will not buy another LG product especially from Home Depot. When I called about possibly getting service, they referred me to an Electronics company... Enough said. The electronics company wants to charge $80 to come Look at it. There is mechanically nothing wrong with the machine, it just doesnt work well and honestly, hasnt worked well since day one. This pushing water through the clothes is not effective at all. I would prefer a machine with an agitator but, those are hard to find. This machine is not that old and is not used all that much so, I have read reviews of the same situation and it is very clear not to buy this machine. I had read such great reviews for this machine but, am so disappointed because it has lead to nothing but additional costs for me to take at least some washes to the local laundromat on a regular basis. That is how ridiculous this has become. A fairly new (Bought in 8/2013) washing machine and I have to go to the laundromat to get my clothes clean. Buyer Beware on this product.

We bought an LG French door refrigerator in late 2017 and it worked without too many major issues, until October of 2020. In October, it suddenly stopped cooling. We called LG to have repairs made under the 3 year warranty. After many delays, they found a repair company in our area to come out to do the repair. They said it was the compressor, ordered a new one and replaced it. The refrigerator still doesnt work. We have been without a refrigerator now for over two months (for a four person household). I have called LG nearly every day, for the past 6 weeks. I have been elevated to the Executive Service response team. What a joke. I receive a different answer every time I call. After about a month of trying to find an authorized repair person to look at the refrigerator again, LG finally agreed to simply submit a claim for Alternate resolution; i.e. replacing the refrigerator. The claim has been submitted now at least 4 times; there is still no decision on whether or not they will honor our warranty. Every time I call (nearly every day now) I am provided with another excuse as to why there is no decision. This has been the worst consumer experience of my life.

I had purchased a side to side refrigerator in 2011 and now it has shown up with some trouble in the compressor, I am now informed I cannot get any spare part since it is out of warranty period, I have filed a complain on 13th Jan 2020, still no response from the customer care, I have the following doubts, 1) are we suppose to select the product only based on the warranty given because we never get any spare part beyond this, so that says 5 years is the worth of this product and any repair beyond this is not possible. 2) If this is the state why should we pay such high prices refrigerators and condom it to increase the junk when on the other side we speak about global warming and decreasing the waste. 3) I had grown up using LG products and its so very disappointing when we do not get proper response from a brand whom we respected as a high brand and felt pride is possessing it.

My LG refrigerator stopped working and it was almost 3 years old. No one will work on the refrigerator due to warranties on certain parts. The service provider in my area is not taking any work orders until after the New Year. It is the compressor which should go up in the little bit of time. The whole experience has been frustrating with LG and trying to find another company to work on this so I didnt have to wait. The compressor from what I understand can take up to 3-4 weeks to come in. Deciding the pay for the labor, not cheap, so made a decision that I didnt want to make since this refrigerator wasnt cheap. So today I decided to purchase a new refrigerator and not wait for this.

We move a lot and this is our 4th LG Washer and Dryer set. However the new machines, neither fill properly with water or agitate like the older models and therefore clothes, towels, sheets do not come clean. We were told by LG to use the permanent press cycle as it uses the most water. In addition, select prewash, extra rinse and heavy duty (for amount of soil). All this take over 1.5 hours. It does use a bit more water and clothing is much cleaner but not 100%. All our whites have slowly greyed after using this washer for 6 months. I paid big bucks for my LG washer and its given me nothing but headaches with water issues (IE) balance issues (UE) and now a leak that fills up my tub and gets your spun clothes totally soaked after my load is done. Whats worse is you cannot find anyone that knows enough to repair it in our area. Im not exaggerating. I purchased a refrigerator, dishwasher and gas range for my new home that I moved in to in 2019. Close to 5000$. Of course they are all out of warranty now and during Christmas of 2021 pieces of enamel was being found in my food I was baking in the oven. Needless to say this has to be a manufacturers defect because nothing I have done would warrant chips of enamel falling off. I called they said, Nope its out of warranty. Even with the fact that we could have consumed some of the enamel they do NOT care. Even the man that I called about checking it out said LG was hard to work with. I am hoping to get this resolved soon being I can not use my oven for fear of consuming enamel. I was so proud at how all three units looked in my kitchen and people were impressed with the look of them. Shame on you LG for selling expensive crap!! And then refusing to take care of your customers.

We got an LGLMX25964ST/02 refrigerator 7.5 years ago. Last week water started leaking from the ice dispenser door. Two days after that my wife called to say that all the food in the freezer part had defrosted. When I got home I pulled the fridge away from the wall and checked the fan and compressor, they seemed to be running fine. I called LG and I was told the fridge is out of warranty and diagnostic would be $185 plus parts and labor! This is the first LG product I have owned. After owning a washer/dryer set
This is the first LG product I have owned. After owning a washer/dryer set for 10 years with no problems made by Frigidaire, the dryer stopped heating. I gave in and decided it was time to upgrade my set (did a lot of shopping around). I purchased the set on 1/28/2012 (WT5001CW - Top load washer & DLE5001W-Electric Dryer) from HHGregg, cost $1701.58. On July 14th of 2012, the washer just stopped mid cycle with no power (clothes still wet inside it). One servicer in the state of KY services LG and could only get to it on 7/25. Power board was fried (order parts will be 3-5 business days to get and install because LG wont overnight the parts unless I paid for it). So now, we are looking at 8/1/2012 for a repair (the washer has a foul mildew odor since it has been filled with water since 7/14). With two young kids and a husband who works outdoors, not doing laundry isnt an option; so I have to pay a laundromat to get my clothes done since sitting for hours isnt feasible with a 20-month-old. LG was awful and couldnt care less if their product is bad and couldnt care less about a clients situation (I was lied to four times about finding another servicer to get to it faster and finally told that I would have to go with the first one). I was offered a laundry reimbursement on 7/26 (after at least 6 phone calls last week), but that was just a maybe. Once the washer is fixed, I can submit the claim for that and wait and see. I am disappointed in the service and product that LG offers. I was so excited to get this new pair and use them, but now I wish I had spent the extra money and gone Whirlpool or Maytag. I will never own another LG product again. Maybe I should sell this pair and cut my losses and move on.

We recently went through 4 months of renovations. What a nightmare and the contractor is not coming back to do the final touchups. We had our kitchen completely gutted and when it came to appliances we purchased and LG range and fridge. Both are working just fine. It takes a bit of getting used to when going from appliances from the 70s and 80s to new. We have had no problems with the fridge but then we have only been using it for a couple of months. The stove works fine. I thought getting a new stove would mean that I would wait a shorter time for a pot of water to boil but no. We are having a problem with the smell of gas every time we use the range. Whether it be the oven or burners, we smell gas. There is conflicting information on the internet as to whether this is normal. We shouldnt be able to smell gas in other rooms other than the kitchen but we do when we use the range. The other issue which is major is the knobs for turning on the burners. This is a complete safety hazard and how this design passed any safety inspections before selling to the public is beyond me. I have singed my long hair twice, once reaching into a cupboard near the stove and another cleaning by the stove just because I barely leaned against the range. The knobs turn by barely brushing up against them and instantly the burner is on before you can get out of the way. If my children were still small I would not keep this stove. It is a accident just waiting to happen. I find this design terribly irresponsible for a company to have and this range should be recalled. I also find the venting of the oven across the cook top not the best design also. When I use the oven and the burners at the same time too much heat is being created and at one time our range hood fan went off on its own and didnt shut off until the heat had dissipated. At the same time the oven vent causes the pots on the stove to heat up even more than from being on the burners and the handles can not be handled unless using a pot holder. It bakes well. We find we use the convection more because on bake food isnt crisping up as much as we would like. I guess thats the difference between electric heat and gas. Companies need to stand by their products better. Our old fridge of 25 years is still going on strong and has been relegated to the car port as an overflow fridge. I am certain that these new appliances of today would never last that long. If the new LG fridge goes we might have to bring the old one back inside. Oh and our 2 year old Samsung T.V. just completely died. What quality!!!

I cannot believe the electricity/water it uses and how your product - even after rinsing - cannot clean. I feel I need to put an extra rinse to help get the grime off. I have reduced my soap by half and the dishes still feel gritty. There must be something wrong with this. What can/should I do to have a rep come out to see what the problem is?

I have very very bad experience with LG Refrigerators since from last 3 months compressor broke 2 times and gas pipe leak issue, once lost my food 3 times and made my wood flooring spoiled with the water leakage. They are not willing to replace my food loss or neither replace my fridge with new one. I keep calling customer care and they are denying both of my requests. I am thinking of approaching consumer court now. This is totally not acceptable for new refrigerator of 3 years old. Thanks.

LG WM3360HWCA - After about 2 years the washer sounds like a Concorde taking off on spin cycle. You cannot be in the same room as the noise is so bad. Called LG and of course theres no one here on the island (live in Hawaii) to come and service it. They gave me the contact number for a company that does repairs. Unfortunately after a week of calling them and no return calls I ended up having Sears come out. He spun the drum in the machine all for $105 and then stated that the repairs would be $1100 as the bearings had gone out. I paid $700 for this washer. How can the repairs cost more? The Sears service rep said that I was over using the machine. I explained that I only fill up to the minimum line on the guide inside. He stated that in Hawaii the water is soft and that we are supposed to use half the recommendation that is on the bottle. I have never heard this before. So now out-of-pocket and have to go and buy a brand-new washer. LG the good life my ass.

Updated on 11/29/2021: LG kitchen appliance buyer please beware. Again, based on my experience, any potential buyer should do research on the dependability of the product and any posted customer experience comments before purchasing any LG kitchen appliance. I made a post 2 months ago on the unreliable refrigerator I purchased and the lack of customer service from LG. Shortly after that post I got action, but it has turned out to be just lip service. I have provided everything LG requested to get a prorated reimbursement for the refrigerator. I have been told on several occasions the reimbursement is approved and the check has been mailed. To this date, 11/29/21, I still have not received the check and I still have an unreliable LG refrigerator. The “promises” of me receiving a reimbursement, which come from as high up of the “liaison of the president”, apparently are meaningless. Bottom line is if you are planning to purchase kitchen appliances please, please consider my situation in order to avoid hours and hours of wasted time and frustration as well as money if you go with LG.Original Review: LG kitchen appliance buyer please beware. Based on my experience, any potential buyer should do research on the dependability of the product and the customer experience comments when something does not work like it should. We purchased the French door refrigerator in November 2019. We started having a problem with the freezer compartment getting too warm in April 2021. This is October 2, 2021 and the problem still exists. The customer service department scheduled repairs. Nine technicians from two different companies have worked on the refrigerator. Many components have been replaced including thermostats, rear cover panel and the mother board that controls everything. The problem revolves around the defrost cycle and the unit not being able to recover from defrosting. The compartment gets too warm, 41 degrees. The refrigerator compartment also gets to 41 degrees. Multiple times everything in the freezer has thawed and turned to liquid. Ice melts in the ice dispenser and runs on the floor. The issue has been escalated 4 times now. Three of those have been to the Defective Returns Department. They rejected the claim first due to “improper submission of the claim by their representative” and a second time because “the person handling the claim no longer works for the company”. I have emailed the President twice without a response even though his webpage says he will respond. My experience has been extremely poor and I still have a defective refrigerator. For $3,100 I expected a unit that would perform and last for a number of years. The company has no doubt spent near that amount of failed repair attempts. I’ve been told that my unit qualifies for either replacement or refund due to the number of repairs and due to the failure of the company to schedule repair within 14 days. This problem is a nightmare and has no resolution within sight. Life’s Not So Good with this kind of customer service and a company that does not stand behind its product. Buyer beware!

Purchased LMXS30776S/02 fridge from H. H. Gregg in May of 2016, actually delivered in July. We were replacing a 10-year old Frigidaire gallery/professional side-by-side that was difficult to open fully due to our kitchen configuration. Aside from an occasional evaporator fan failure ($10.00 and 20 minute fix for a novice like myself), it never gave us a single problem and was a beautiful unit. The salesman raved about the durability of the LG linear compressor. We opted for a 5-year extended warranty (which is now defunct as the company that services this will not answer customer requests via their web page... which is the only form of contact). It began on 04/16/2019 and ended in the complete lack of cooling sometime around midnight. The fan is running, compressor is running but noisy, no cooling, coils room temperature. I attempted to contact LG, but they dont answer the phone... They send you a troubleshooting email and then refer you to expensive 3rd party repair services once out of the 1 year (criminal) parts and labor warranty. Looking at parts, a compressor for an average fridge (in a kit with isolators, drier, harnesses, valve, etc) is around $150.00 for the average Electrolux/Frigidaire or equivalent. Sure, there is some soldering. The same bare compressor for the LG is nearly $400.00 (because you can charge what the market will bear, forget being fair). The drier is an additional $60.00. Im guessing that installation is basically going to be less than the total of the parts as is customary, and then there is the charge for vacuuming it down and installing the 4.76oz of R134 refrigerant. Not to mention the warped subfloor under our fridge from the ice in the ice maker melting everywhere and the loss of a few hundred dollars in groceries. Again, criminal. There was a class-action lawsuit, however our fridge was brand new when this witch hunt began, so we had no reason to look for such a thing. Now that it has failed prematurely, I learn that warranties were extended for the few rather than the many. All in all, Id like to thank LG for being so classy about ignoring this issue and the customers who paid a small fortune hoping that you actually do get what you pay for or at least be treated fairly when a problem did arise... just to find out that a college dorm fridge was probably a better deal. Thanks, LG. I hope your reputation eventually catches up with you!

Purchased a LG French Door Refrigerator from Home Depot in 2011. Almost 6 years to the date of purchase the unit quit working. After calling LG they stated that the compressor was covered but not labor. Lg suggested two certified appliance repair resources in our area. First referral never returned our call. Second sent a service person out on a week. Technician stated that our unit was the cleanest unit he had ever seen but unfortunately the compressor was bad. Our out of pocket expense will be $600.01 for a refrigerator that is only 6 years old! Our previous refrigerator was 28 years old and cost 1/3 of the cost of this LG. Called LG to file a complaint with no satisfaction. In fact the LG Representative said LG could not help with any labor cost and that we should remember that the unit USA man made product and was not perfect. Really!?? I will never purchase or recommend an LG Product to anyone!

Bought LG fridge December 20, 2013... ice maker broke 2015. Now the fridge went Friday, December 13, 2019. Was told by lg customer service to take everything out fridge, defrost for 8 hours, wait 24 to 48 hours so fridge can get cold. Never happened. Did it again second day. Same thing. Not working, error code keeps coming on. They send tech. Charge us $125. Have to get fridge serviced. Another $324... Asked if they can expedite the shipping of motor fan whatever it’s called. Tech Ariel looked at my husband and I like we had two heads. He never tried to contact LG about expediting the part. We told tech we have to think about it. Maybe we should just buy another fridge. Tech was ok and left... like he didn’t care that we living out of two coolers. He Just said ok and left.We called LG about expediting the part again. They were like, We will see. We’ve been out of a fridge since Friday December 13, 2019, it’s Thursday December 19, 2019, LG calls us to tell us we might not get our shipment in till Saturday and maybe get our fridge fix Saturday. All our food has spoiled. No milk. The Christmas ham we bought spoiled as well as all the other good we had in fridge. About $300 in food we bought for Christmas Eve dinner. Let’s put it this way. LG doesn’t give a ** About their customers.

We just purchased an LG kitchen package including the glass top electric LG range with knobs on the front (LSE4613/LSE4611) and had it delivered on 7/11/20. We have had it in our home for one week and weve accidentally turned the front knobs on multiple times by reaching into the microwave, cleaning the back splash, or reaching above into a cabinet. The knobs should not be that easy to turn. They are a push and turn style knob. We went back to the store to begin an exchange process for a model with the knobs in the back, but we are very disappointed because we like the appearance of this style much better. We are shocked by how easy it is to turn these knobs and really dont want to have to resort to ugly child proofing on our brand new appliances. Is there a better option?

I bought this 2 years ago and had problems from the first load. The bottom slide out rack CONSTANTLY goes off track and can take 5-6 times to get it back on. Not an easy task when you are bent over and it is full. Dishes are always spotty, have tried every cycle and lots of different detergents and rinses. Everything is spotty and has a slippery feel to it. I end up using the rinse cycle only after doing a load and then they dont dry. More times than not I just hand wash the dishes. QUICKER, MUCH MORE ENERGY EFFICIENT AND DONE RIGHT. DO NOT BUY THIS CRAP.

Bought an LG fridge a year and a half ago for over $2000.00. Suppose to be top of the line. It started making a terrible sound and the cooling started to fail. By morning the fridge completely shut down. Called HhGregg who stated, Your warranty expired. What do you expect us to do? Found out no one works on LG fridges in my area. Got a hold of HHGreggs service center who said they would be out. They have come out 5 times in the last 10 weeks and left each time knowing the fridge is not fixed. I purchased an LG refrigerator about 3 years ago. It stopped cooling a couple of months ago. I called for service and was told I had to use a specific company to service the refrigerator because it is under warranty. It takes 2 weeks to get a technician to come out just to look at it. Parts must then be ordered & it then takes another 2 weeks to get the tech back out to fix the refrigerator. I was told the 1st time it was the compressor. That part was replaced. It stopped cooling again within 1 month. Same tech comes out again, 2 weeks after my service call.Tech orders a part for everything that cools the refrigerator. Parts come in within days of ordering but my entire family has to wait another 2 weeks for tech to come out. This is a new guy. He does not use all the parts which were ordered and replaces something totally different than what the previous tech says is wrong. It has been 24 hours and the refrigerator is still not cooling. When I call, I am told it will take 2 weeks to get a tech back out. In the meantime, I am not able to purchase groceries as I have no place to put them. We are living out of 2 ice chests and spending a fortune having to buy ice daily. This has gone on for 3 months. LG needs to be sued.

We purchased an LG refrigerator a little over 3 months ago from Home Depot. We have had so much noise coming from it!! We have leveled it and checked that the floor is level. Called customer service and was told if they found it to be normal noises we would have to pay for the service call! It will run quietly for maybe a day then will start humming loudly, everything in the doors vibrate, and makes really weird noises!! Called customer service and was told I need to manually defrost! I should not need to manually defrost a $1700 refrigerator after only 3 months! Home Depot wont do anything because it is under manufacturers warranty for the first year.

I am disappointed with LG Customer Service. I am a repeat customer and have been treated as though LG does NOT care. My dryer (purchased 10-17-2018) did not dry our clothes beginning on 7-8-19 (today is 8-6-19) and is still not working. I have had A&E Factory Service out 3 times already and is still not working. The first diagnosis (7-16-19) was it was a bad igniter. A new one was shipped and 9 days later the technician came out (7-25-19) to replace and behold the igniter that was shipped was defective. So a new one was ordered and is it is still not working. When the A&E technician came out today (8-6-19) he said he had a message from Stack(?) to further expedite the issue they would have a conference call with LG. Today it was determined that there MIGHT? be an issue with the control board. So to expedite this the A&E technician requested the part be shipped overnight. LG REFUSED to ship this overnight. I called your customer service number (800-243-0000) after an 1/2 hour on the phone they said they could not help and suggested that I call the parts department. In case you are wondering if you read that right, yes, I should call the parts department to try to convince them.Look I realize it cost a couple bucks extra to ship overnight, but after 29 days and is it is still not working, is this the kind of customer service one can expect from LG? So for that extra $5 is it worth it to LG to lose a repeat customer? Is it worth $5 to LG to have me tell others of my experience when asked by family and friends?

As it turned out the heating element at the bottom of the freezer melted the plastic back panel on the inside. THEREIN is where all the torment has ensued!!!! They would have to ORDER the panel and as of Today August 11th, 2014 even after contacting LG directly, I still DO NOT have a panel or a fridge that works. IT CONTINUES TO BE ON BACK ORDER and LG did not know if they could help me unless I purchased the fridge from an AUTHORIZED DEALER, who cares where I purchased the fridge? I paid for it, it is THEIR product. If Im willing to pay to get the 65.00 part who cares where I purchased the fridge? LG has been of NO help whatsoever!!!!!! I cant believe it truly matters where an item is purchased. IT is their product and they should care about taking care of the customer... We have had numerous dishwashers over the years but this LG Dishwasher Model LDF7551ST is the WORST dishwasher we have ever had. Both trays collapse when dishes are loaded, the drain line is insufficient so it periodically doesnt drain. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT CONSIDER THIS DISHWASHER - warranty is dreadful - ours said we had a lemon warranty but despite calling a service man NUMEROUS times our lemon is still being squeezed! I had put a load of clothes in to wash and went about my chores, when I heard a horrible banging sound! When I ran into the laundry room I saw the washer jumping all over the place and beating holes in my wall! Before I could get to the plug to disconnect power, the front of the machine blew off and the washer drum fell out. I was in shock, my floor was flooded and the machine was destroyed! I called LG and explained what had happened and their wonderful customer service suggested that I unplug the machine for 15 minutes and then try it again! Really??? After 3 weeks, about 50 phone calls they finally sent a repairman out who said it was do fixable! Another two weeks went by and we finally got a replacement machine. The replacement leaks all of the time! They have been out to check it more times than I can count and it still leaks! I will never buy another LG product!

I have Model WT1101CW LG washing machine and can say with total honesty that this is the worse machine I have ever owned. It goes out of balance so many times during the wash cycle that it takes hours to wash a load. I purchased an LG gas range at our local Sears store thinking that it looked great in the photos. What a disappointment to spend over $1300 on this poorly engineered product! The control knobs cracked and became loose immediately. The customer service was a joke, just like the commercial on TV where the man (Peggy) from Siberia answers. Calls got dropped etc. New knobs with the same poor design cost $40.00 each! I did not replace them. I used glue and nylon ties to hold them on. The flames are all uneven and the metal covers are de-laminating. The knobs now are peeling from heat. I have decided not to buy any more LG products. It’s the only way to fight back obsolescence.

In November 2007, I bought a beautiful, shiny, black French-door refrigerator (model LFC25760SB). In the last 1 1/2 year, it is slowly falling apart. The wide sliding tray cover falls off every time you open it. The digital sensor control has separated from the roof about 1 1/2 inch, blocking all products when using top shelves. This has caused the malfunction of the temperature controls. It has also caused the plastic clear cover snap out of place. Not to mention, it warped from the heat of the light bulb. I have replaced it twice! Now, the rubber stripping is shredding apart at the top, making opening/closing the doors near impossible. I bought this product, replacing a nice GE side-by-side refrigerator I bought in 1989 that was working perfectly! I was just sick of it and wanted a newly updated appliance. Lets just say this - I am pissed at Best Buy and LG for selling the worst piece of crap I have ever owned. I wont even get into the problems I had when 2 incompetent employees delivered this useless ice box! You, people at LG, are nothing but lying, cheating thieves who pray on hardworking Americans! I will never ever buy from you again! When this refrigerator finally has died (which will be shortly), I will go back to GE and get a reliable product. Your products are junk!

The refrigerator is still under factory warranty and, I have additional extended warranty. I have spent the last month since July 24th trying to get a replacement/reimbursement for my refrigerator because the service technician they sent out deemed my refrigerator a BioHazard due to the food decomp in the freezer that was kept at room temperature for the compressor fail date until we returned on the 24th.Claims has tried to force a settlement for me to take. That is more of an insult than an offer. Less than half of what was paid for it. This refrigerator was part of a class action lawsuit for the exact reason mine failed and they will not adhere to their own settlement. My opinion is to not purchase an LG. On October 21st, our LG Model LMXS30776S/00 Refrigerator that was less than 2 years old stopped working. When I called LG Consumer Relations at 800-243-000 they took down our information. They then discussed their LG Premium Care Service Plan with us and provided us two options to get our fridge fixed. Option # 1, $450, Option # 2 $350. Option # 1 covers you for 1 year and the Option # 2 is for 3 months. We go with Option # 2. It is supposed to cover the labor and because the compressor broke that is covered by warranty by LG for 10 years from date of purchase. They set us up with one service repair company in our city, then call us a few days later to say they assigned it to another service repair company in our city. Turns out the second one is the only authorized LG repair in our city. They schedule an appointment, the earliest date, November 14th.On 11/14 the owner comes out and says the compressor is broke and the seal system has been contaminated and he will need 6 parts to fix this. On 11/15 the repair place calls me and says the LG warranty department will not authorize the fridge to be fixed. They are going to get another repair place to come fix it. On 11/16 after not hearing from the warranty division of LG (which is outsourced), I call them. It took 34 minutes before someone answered. They explain to me and say the repair company told us they cannot fix the fridge. I say that is a total lie. The guy then paused. I said I have spoken with them multiple times and they told me you would not authorize them to repair it because you now do not want to pay the labor cost. So LG sells us on the warranty program, but then when they find out the labor cost almost 3 weeks later, they refuse to pay it and tell us we will reimburse the $350 to you.So not only did our less than 2 year old fridge break, they do not honor their warranty programs that they sell to the consumer. I was transferred back to LG Customer Care and waited on hold 45 minutes. I never spoke to anyone again. I tried calling on 11/17 and they say wait times are too long, call back. I then proceed to do a live chat. They push me back to their 800. Long story short, DO NOT buy LG. However, you have to be careful, because LG makes refrigerators for Kenmore and others that are sold in Home Depot, Lowes, and Sears to name a few.LG does not stand behind their products. One local repair place in my city said they dropped LG because LG did not honor the warranties. They said do not buy LG and Samsung Appliances. So our options are to buy a new fridge, or pay someone over $800 to repair our less than 2 year old LG refrigerator. So, we paid $2900 for the LG fridge and now it will cost an additional $800 to get it fixed or we have to spend in the $1,000s to get a new one. I have never in 40 + years experienced such bad customer service with a product. I will never buy anything that LG makes or has made for another company. They do not stand behind their products. Their customer care representatives are terrible. Thanks LG. You lost a customer and hope many more after they read this for life.

I have the LG model WM2140CW washer and dryer for about 2 years. I have cleaned the gasket, inside of the tub, and door on the washing machine as directed by the manufacturer and run bleach through the tub clean cycle and still cannot get rid of the moldy smell. When cleaning the gasket, I noticed mold and mildew on the gasket and have cleaned them with modified bleach and even used Q-tips to remove the mold, it just comes back. Even after you wipe the gaskets off after each wash, you cannot get all of the mold out of the gaskets and this transfers to your clothes, sometimes needing to be rewashed 2 or 3 times. I keep the door open for ventilation but there is no way for the gasket area to stay completely dry. The smell is so bad at times you have to close the laundry room door to keep it from reeking into the rest of the house. I am calling for service this week but I know what they are going to tell me which is exactly what I have been doing. I would not recommend this LG set to anyone. I plan on going back to a top loading washer just to get the smell out of my house and clothes. As far as the dryer, I have to run it 2 to 3 times just to get clothes dry. Avoid LG at all costs.

I have owned $2000.00 refrigerator for 4 months. It started making noise. Tech informs me that I own a LG made in Korea and it needs plastic fan parts replaced. I thought and was led to believe I was buying American Sears Kenmore, not a junk new word for Korean junk. This $2,000 was a sale price reduced from $3,600. Imagine how they do this junk, that’s how. Oh well, buyers beware. Read the inside and every tag on every item. I paid Lexus price for Kia quality.

Lg really needs to improve quality. I have experienced only junk coming from LG. Lg stove, broken after 3 years of use. Should not need a $300 gas valve And an ignitor $100, already! I am a service tech. Lg microwave exhaust fan does not reach 400 cfm (needed for gas stove) and goes slower when microwave is turned on. Junk! Air flow meter only reads up to 260 cfm with a transition to direct airflow through meter. Refrigerator, you have to open both doors to open crisper drawers.Very poor design! How about someone actually try to clean this fridge...what a joke! Takes almost a day to break down fridge to clean. Fire that designer, probably couldn’t design a way out of a paper bag. Lg ductless split ac. Again just junk! Poor design. I will be sharing my experiences with the garbage your company is putting out. Not a happy lg user, Richard. Lg gas stove, lg fridge, lg microwave exhaust and experienced lg ductless split. JUST DON’T BUY LG! Parts are waaay too expensive! Also not readily available! Too many issue in design to mention for fridge. Gas stove is very poorly designed. Very cheap. These products just feel CHEAP! And they are cheap, cheap, cheap products! If you want quality, buy a better brand! Lg = like garbage!

I’m very disappointed in my refrigerator...especially at the price we paid for this!!! We bought the one with 2 ice makers, and we still run out of ice. Last year the freezer stopped cooling - only after 10 months of having it - which made the top stop cooking. We lost a ton of meat, ice cream, dairy, etc! They replaced several things, only for it to happen again 1 year later. Stop focusing on every efficient and focus on making a long lasting product!!!

We purchased a brand new LG washer and dryer from Home Depot in November 2011. As soon as we started using the washer, we noticed water was leaking from the bottom of the machine, which several months later caused heavy damage to the drywall and created black mold. Initially we contacted LG in November and a technician was sent to our home three times; however, they couldnt identify the problem. First, we were told that the sensors had to be replaced and then the machines had to be replaced. However, LG doesnt replace products, they try to fix it. It wasnt until June 2012 that we noticed there was mold on our baseboard. This has caused major stress on us since we have a newborn. We called an environmental company to come and inspect the wall and test the air in our home, which cost us $450, and LG still refuses to replace the washer and dryer. The problem with the dryer is, if you place comforters or a heavy load, it shuts off without finishing the complete dry cycle. I constantly have to check the washer for leaks and turn on the dryer every time it shuts off. I cannot understand how brand new machines cause so much trouble. We explained this to LG and they said they can only send a technician to correct the problem. So far, the technician has come twice this month and it still hasnt been fixed. I cannot understand how this company cannot replace defective machines. This is horrible customer service. We are disappointed and will never recommend nor purchase any LG products again.

I unfortunately purchased an LG brand front load washer and dryer from Home Depot. I wish I would have done some research first because it would have saved me a lot of problems. The washer is very high maintenance in which you have to drain it and clean out the trap. At least once a month, there are cleaning pouches that Tide makes that you have to use to clean out the washer. It seems no matter how often I use the pouches and drain it, my clothes have a musty smell. One of my biggest complaints is that I can not wash a lot of my blankets and comforters because they get too heavy and off balance the drum no matter if I try repositioning them.

I bought a LG wave force top loader 2 years ago new. It had a recall shortly after I bought it. Serviceman came twice to fix recall. Its never worked right since. He said we could only use one setting, casual. No big loads, No small loads. I couldnt believe it! It goes off balance constantly. I cant do a small load anymore?? Crazy, I want my $ back. I feel ripped off. Anyone else having problems after recall fix?UPDATED ON 01/21/2015: Bought top loader new. Had immediate recall on software. Since new software was installed, cant use any water but warm. Repair guy said dont put too much or too little in and only use one cycle. This is supposed to be an energy saving machine but I cant use cold water and cant do a small load. Machine stops and displays IE constantly. I HATE this machine! Shame on LG, they should be sued!!

My wife purchased our new LG refrigerator (linear compressor) unit 2 years ago from Home Depot. We purchased the extended warranty, against my feelings, and am glad we did as the unit failed after only 2 years! Trying to contact LG is next to impossible. I then called the warranty service, this is also a joke as they say they cant have anyone out for over 2 weeks. This refrigerator has a class action lawsuit out on it as I find out, but LG only replaces the compressor with the same thing! To make matters worse, I had just come back from a hunting trip, and loaded the freezer up with two deer. I have now lost everything. So now, I am out all my food, and I cant even get a working refrigerator for at least 2 weeks? I no longer even want this junk appliance, but, they refuse to credit me, or take the unit back! This is unacceptable for such a major company. I will NEVER recommend, or purchase anything made by LG again!

We purchased a new LG Washer & Dryer 05-06-2013. The washer has been banging very loudly while the water adjustment turns on & off during its cycle. Also we have noticed a strong mildew smell in the washer as well. I have had to replace the hot & cold water valves due to this erratic banging of our plumbing pipes. We had contacted the LG contact people & they have not been cooperative/helpful. They gave me names & numbers of repair services that do not service our area. Called them the next week & was told a service would be contacting me within 3 days. However, no one had called us & they gave me conflicting info once again. We cannot afford to pay for any more plumbing problems due to this still erratic washer banging problem. Our other unit we had worked the same way. This unit does & it never gave us this disturbing problem. Sincerely!!!!!

Machine was working and stopped, quit. No power whatsoever in the middle of the load!! When your LG washing machine quits working, as it will and locks the door with water in it with your nice clothes that will smell bad if you do not get them out. Here is how you can unlock the door without any power source to the machine.Step 1: First get soft flat kitchen spatula and use it between top of washer and front panel, on each side or corner there is a latch or tab that will allow you to get the complete top up and have access to the lid or door and also the drum.Step 2: There should be a red string on the side of the latch underneath the door or lid, pull on string on right side of lock and push up on lid or door and this should release your lid.Step 3 You will need a shop vac wet/dry or a sump pump to get the bad smelling water out so your house does not stink for the next week or two before the repair person shows up.This worked for us, when we could not find any site that told you how to do this so we wanted to tell anybody that may need help. We were told it would be a week or more before repairman would be here and did not want to throw away all of our clothes to mold and stink water. Hope this helps!!

I just purchased LG Washing Machine (412 SS /12 KG). This washer has so many deficiency and crazy programs as it was designed by a kid. Its drum is NOT adjusted and leveled with rounded rubber in front of it. You will never see drum is hanging down. When started it doesnt release water, but it releases water in burst so many time and it waste so much time. Drum keeps turning without water or just barely wet for about 5-6 minutes, depend on its useless programs. Half of its programs are dedicated to Steam-Wash. So if you dont use Steam, half of its programs are completely useless, while they could have add just one steam-key as an option to all programs.WORST OF ALL: it doesnt release enough water to clean the clothes. In fact there is no standing water in washer. They are just barely wet and there is NO option to add water in any program. So as a result I have to wash my clothes twice every time. Completely waste of time. Inside washer is so dark, and you cant see inside to know whats going on. Each program is unnecessarily too long. It just sits idle and does nothing or it spins in one second burst-like and stops or it turns in weird manner not seen in other washers. It sometimes turns too fast, and clothes are just attached to inside drums wall and they dont go through churning motion. It doesnt spin after each rinse to extract detergent. As a result if you dont wash them twice, clothes will come out with powdery stuff on them after dried up.There are no options to had rinse or fast spin to any program. Inside drum surface is NOT smooth, and has rough edges to touch on each and every holes as if they are done from outside to inside rather than inside out to make smooth inside surface. These many rough surfaces will absolutely wear and damage clothes. In addition there is another double horizontal line with rough edges across inside drum, and no one knows what it is for. This is very NOISY Washing machine. So-called OPTIONS on these washer are just that. If you want to change temperature, for example, then other options also change on its own without giving you choices or options are limited when programs are changed. Brief summary of this awful washer is: it doesnt put out enough water to clean the clothes - just make them wet, each program is too long, no option to add rinse or spin. I could add several other deficiencies, but enough said. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS WASHER.

I absolutely could not get anyone to answer my calls. I purchased a washing machine in 2005 and it was starting to smell terrible by 2006. In 2009, it produced error readings so I purchased a new pump. In 2011, it started making noise. I took it upon myself and found out that the support brace that holds the inner drum rotted and broke off in three places. I have soft water and am a registered master plumber. The material used in this brace was no more than cast aluminum or pot metal (neither of the two should be used in a piece of equipment like this). The drum is stainless. What a waste.

Now we are out of a stove until I spend $400 on 5 knobs or buy a new stove! You would think with all of the complaints and the safety factor, they would have a recall and replace the cheap knobs with one that have a metal base. Late at night, (after we all went to bed) we heard glass breaking. Upon investigation, we found that the glass in the front loader door has blown out, glass all over the floor AND inside the washer. Glass was very hot. Cleaned up the mess and called LG. My husband is disabled and we do his laundry every day. I spoke to customer service and they said it had to go to resolution team, even though I have had the machine for 5 years and it was no longer under warranty. After a week of waiting for their decision, now I have service scheduled for Monday (which I have to pay for since the washer is not under warranty....no kidding!!) LG Washer/Dryer unit. Noticed water on floor, thought it was the washer. Repairman identified water coming from dryer. He was not able to fix the problem. Might add, weve passed the one yr. warranty and didnt purchase an extended warranty thinking back over 50 yrs of never having to call a W/D repair person. After some personal research discovered the water drain was not connected to the proper reservoir. Never saw a drop of water in the prescribed reservoir which means it was never properly installed at the factory or whatever reason LG can figure who to blame. Theyve given me some repair phone #s. None service our area. Discovered that they have a very narrow presence for repair people. This is a BUYER BEWARE of LG. No service, poor and rude customer service and a phone number with a broken answering string. In the meantime, LG has a duty and a responsibility to mitigate all damages and the Consumer Affairs Division of the State of California needs to look into a company that sells their products without providing a reasonable method of getting repair service. Their star deserves a huge Zero. I bought both items at Home Depot and they could not give me a repair person for LG. Right now were stuck with having an expensive dryer that doesnt work. Carting a basket of wet laundry to dry outside is a huge inconvenience for an 80 yr. old.

The LG refrigerator is the one that we had chosen, mainly because the store clerk recommended it over the other ones. Also it has not only met my expectations but it has exceeded them by far. My favorite feature is the shelving that is available. I have enough room for all of my groceries right after a big shopping trip for the week. It is very convenient. Also it is very easy to clean so it stays looking brand new at all times. But I think that the refrigerator could improve by having a bit more space between the shelves so that taller items might fit inside it a little bit better. I also think it would be nice for the freezer to be on the bottoms rather than it be side by side.

Purchased product for new home in early 2015. Two and a half years later, (before the fourth of July holiday), it died. Stopped cooling. Waited for several days, since repairman came to our area once a week. But that was just the service call. After close to $1,000.00 in labor, service call and tax, one week later the repairs were made. Refrigerator worked until lo and behold two years later almost to the day, the same issues occurred. JUNE 13, 2019 to be exact. This was a Wednesday and of course the day service is available in our area is Tuesday, we waited a week for the service call and a second week for repair. Compressor and several other parts replaced again. As the repairman was getting ready to leave, the fridge DIED. He stated he knew something was really wrong with our unit and claimed it unrepairable.Enter LG. No you need to replace the heat exchanger. It is now over two weeks since this repair and still no fix for refrigerator and it is Wednesday so you can bet no resolution until AT LEAST next Tuesday if at all. Mind you we are under warranty for parts and labor which we should have been two years ago also. We will never and will advertise to all the new builds on our community website to stay away from LG Refrigerators. Spent over 2 hours on the phone with LG service and no help whatsoever. So bottom line --- Dont go the LG route. Buy American.

Updated on 07/02/2019: This is a follow up to my last review. Yet again, my appointment was rescheduled from July 2 to July 8!! I was sent an email twice over the weekend asking me to call to reschedule my appointment that was supposed to be on 7/2. When I called on Monday morning (7/1), I was told that my appointment needed to be rescheduled AGAIN! They rescheduled my appointment for 7/8 - a week from now! How do you sleep at night, LG and A & E Solutions, knowing that you are robbing your customers and have no intentions of honoring the warranty on your products? I will never buy another LG appliance. If I could give this company zero stars, I would. If someone is serious about making this right, you can send me a private message asking for my phone number. Otherwise, keep pointing the finger at everyone else.Updated on 06/25/2019: This is an update to my review on 6/19/19. The response that I got from LG to my review was: We understand that you are frustrated with the refrigerator and we do care about our customers. Because without you there is no us. So we would love to assist you at the moment. We do see that service has been set for June 24. Please keep us informed on the status and let us know how the repair went. LG DID NOT SHOW UP ON JUNE 24TH!! AM I SURPRISED??? NO.LGs customer service department might as well be non-existent. Dont spend your money on an LG appliance unless you are confident that you will never have a maintenance issue. For me, the maintenance issue came after 3 years of owning my $1500 refrigerator!! Because the warranty is under LG, no private repair company will come out to fix it because they have told me that they will never be paid by LG. Furthermore, I have found that very few private repair companies will service LG appliances because of their reputation.Original Review: I bought an LG refrigerator approximately 3.5 years ago and it already died - both the refrigerator and the freezer!! I was told that it would take 9 DAYS to have a service repair company come out. I have tried being in touch with customer service twice and have been placed on hold for at least 45 minutes before I finally hung up each time. The worst customer service. Based on the reviews here, I am not confident that the issue will even be resolved once the repair company comes if I still have to wait for replacement parts. Meanwhile, I am trying to live out of coolers; not to mention the amount of money I lost on food that went bad.LG, please do me a favor and resist sending me the same response that you have sent to everyone who has written a review. LG Refrigerators response: Thank you for notifying LG of the experience you have encountered thus far. This is not indicative of how we want our valued customers to feel. We’ll be happy to look into this and answer any questions that you have. Please send a private message so that we can assist you. Send a private message where??? How about a sincere response rather than one that is copied and pasted. And please dont act like you care about your customers. Your lack of customer service tells the story for itself.

The LG Warranty Dept is pathetic to put it bluntly. We purchased the extended warranty from Lowes Canada on a 3 Appliance Extended Warranty Package. But trying to get warranty service on an LG LFX25778ST French Door Fridge has been ridiculous. Of course, the call center is in the Philippines and they read off of a script. They said there are 2 service providers in my area. I spoke to the first company and they would decline compressor calls from LG? The second company said they are not accepting calls from LG because of past issues??? The CSR in the Philippines had no solution as it was not on his script. What a joke!!! So now Im left scrambling trying to get a repair of the fridge.LG you should be ashamed of yourselves and I warn everyone out there to look at other manufacturers. As well, Im not done with LG and Lowes as of yet. One of these two companies will be reimbursing me for this sham/scam and paying me back for all monies owed. Be it product, the so-called extended warranty charge and all legal fees. I hope everyone reading this heeds the warning. Thanks.

We also bought the top load model 4801 and it was defective out of the box. It shredded (snagged) several items of clothing (shirts, sheets, etc.). LG said they were only obligated to repair it, meaning take it apart and replace the drum assembly, etc. I said that wasnt acceptable. The service tech, even though he saw and documented the damaged items, could not find a specific problem with the unit. Because of that, they refused to pay for any damages their machine caused, instead stating there is nothing wrong with the machine. I argued until I was blue in the face. They would not budge. They would not let me talk to someone higher up. They gave me bogus phone numbers and e-mail addresses of people to whom I could escalate my complaint (the e-mails were returned as undeliverable and the phone numbers were not valid). Thank goodness Home Depot gave us a replacement machine against the wishes of LG. Pray that you never need service for any LG product or you will regret it from the start. I like to refer to them as the axe murderers of customer service, the worst I have ever experienced.

Our LG refrigerator is junk. After 6 months the freezer led lighting went out and requires a $150 part. Cannot see where the buttons are on the front panel because they are not illuminated. It seems the designers have never used the product. Now a year later the water line from the valve to the icemaker is splitting and ruined our kitchen cabinets. This have never happened with any other refrigerator in over 40 years except for LG. Absolute crap materials and workmanship.

This company is a joke! Just look at all the 1 star complaints. Where were these reviews when I purchased? Well, the refrigerator was a brand new model with a brand new design called a linear compressor. This so-called ‘energy saver’, has been verified a complete disaster. It was faulty from day 1 and all the technicians will agreed. LG has since redesigned it, so now instead of 1 1/2 to 2 years, it is made to last up to 3 years before it fails. Save on energy? Perhaps, but you will pay through the nose on faulty parts every couple of years. It will cost you at minimum of $1,000 for the compressor to be replaced and a bit less to have your motherboard replaced when it fails. This does not include the hundreds to thousands in wasted food when the refrigerator crashes, the 2 to 6 week wait for a certified repair person (eat out every night?), the hours spent dealing with LG (NON-EXISTENT) customer service, who will never return a call or follow-up, who will argue with you, mock you, and make up lies regarding what their warranty plainly says in writing and in an easy to read chart, which they will refuse to honor. I urge you all to file an online complaint with your states attorney generals office. They handle these types of cases. Instead of complaining on here, where nothing will come of it, take a moment to get real action. They are basically stealing! They are the ones who manufactured faulty parts, they should be held responsible. If you bought a car that had a defective part, there would be a recall and the company would replace it. But LG has no honor, or concern for the millions of dollars paid out by consumers to repair or replace their products. They will NEVER care, unless they are FORCED TO!!! Aside from your State Attorney General, complaints to the Better Business Bureau, media outlets, blogs, complaint sites, The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), State Consumer Affairs Departments, letters to the store managers who carry their products, etc. LETS MAKE THEM ACCOUNTABLE!

In 2013 I purchased a set of LG large capacity washer and dryer. I was excited when I got my new machines. At first I was amazed, as it did not seem my clothes had been washed so clean and dried so efficiently in years, compared to my old washer and dryer. After a few months, it seemed the washer would stop itself more and more often, with a UE flashing on the screen and required opening the machine and rearrange heavy wet clothing until it would spin through. About that time I received a notice of a recall that affected my machine. I called the recall hotline number and a technician was sent to replace the faulty parts. This solved the problem with balance and wash cycle, but left the washer with few choices for temperature. You have the choice of warm/warm, regardless of the setting other than tap cold. Cold/cold runs warm/warm. At least the machine was operating and cleaning the clothes. I was told it may happen again and that, if it did, to keep the number for the recall hotline. I have always made a special point of taking large blankets or anything other than regular clothing or bedding/towels, to a public laundry.Recently, once again, the machine has been throwing the clothing to the side and refusing to complete the load without the struggle of reaching in and rearranging the load, reading unbalanced several times before the load would finish. The last load I did was two regular bed sheets and a few wash clothes and it stopped twice before completed the cycle.I called the recall hotline from my paperwork and a tech was sent to our home, today. I was at work, so my husband greeted the repair technician. After trying the machine on its cycle, running on empty, he called me at work to tell me it tested normal. I assured him it was far from normal. The technician proceeded to tell me it is very important with this delicate machine, to only wash light loads of the same clothing, such as sheets only, towels only, light cotton with like size and fabric and jeans or heavier clothing, with only a few at a time and no other clothing. He stated he wanted to run a load of laundry to test the machine. My husband started putting clothes into the washer when the technician stopped him and told him to select only a few items of like size and fabric. The technician ran the load and called to inform me the machine had no problems and he was closing the ticket on the repair. I told the repairman to go home and ask his wife if she would be satisfied to do her laundry under the specifications he was informing me, this delicate machine (large capacity, supposed high power) requires. All of this to say, LG does not stand behind their product, the parts are sub quality and the massive recall on this machine only served to put a band-aid on a major problem. The machines should have been replaced and the customer should have been satisfied, instead of spending $850 on a machine that has lasted a total of 3 years. Do not buy LG, unless you have money to burn.

My LG top loader is the biggest piece of crap Ive ever owned. Sometimes it takes literally all day to finish one load. Just last night it filled up 6 times after me manually balancing the clothes. There have been times Ive put sopping wet clothes in my dryer because I get so sick of the endless cycles. I hate this washer and cant even sell it cause Id feel like a dirtbag handing it over to someone else. High efficiency my butt. Do yourself a favor and NEVER waste your money on an LG washing machine!

My first unit came with a manufacturing defect where the housing unit inside the fridge housing. The styrofoam kept coming apart and wouldnt stay put. LG and Lowes recommended that I just exchange it for a new product. Besides that one manufacturing defect, the unit worked fine; it was quiet and efficient. Now, after a week the second and replacement unit was delivered. Oh boy, LG has some major issues they need to fix. First, the unit comes without one shelf on the freezer side. This was remedied by them saying they would send one out to us. Second, this fridge is much louder than the first unit we received. It makes a constant humming noise, which is quiet and we wouldnt have thought much of it, but we had experiences with our first defective unit to compare it to. Heres the kicker though. Occasionally, the fridge will start rattling. Its not too abhorrent, but when we open the fridge, the shelves will make a vibrating noise that gets amplified. I contacted LG support again to ask how to remedy this because we werent sure if it was a leveling issue or something else. The agent that I was connected to just tells me to unplug it and plug it back in, and adds that if it isnt resolved we would need service for a fridge that we had just received. To top it all off, the serial number matches a fridge that was made in April 2020. How terrible does your quality control procedure have to be for this to happen? Im 0/2 in receiving a brand new perfect product. I went with LG because people said they improved (partially because of my Korean bias), but man stay away. Currently debating if I should ask Lowes to replace the unit or if I should go with a completely different refrigerator. Terrible. Just terrible.

LG company did not honor any recall for the control panel that was suppose to be under a recall because it was two years old. The LG representatives worked very hard to guarantee that I would not be getting any help either by getting them to repair the oven, send me the part, or provide me with technical support. There are not many parts that can go wrong but expensive if you guess wrong. The recall item was the control panel (board) but there are two in question. One for $60.00 the other for $170.00.

I purchased the LG side by side in March of 2011. The light just came on to replace the filter. Dont you think that $100.00 per year is a little high for a filter? I wish I had checked the price before I purchased the refrigerator. But if you dont fix people with the refrigerator that is not working, I dont suppose you care about a little filer!

Worst gas range knobs ever. Cheap plastic knobs that peels with heat and connection to position breaks. Never had this happen with any other gas range used. LG should stand behind these knobs and replace all at no cost.

It is up to date, keeps food cold, and also keeps drinks pretty cold as well. Its also pretty spacious to put leftovers and other stuff in it like juice, milk, etc.. It is an all around amazing brand when it comes to fridges. I have always liked LG and I will get another LG brand in the future. I love the brand because they make a lot of good stuff that is very up to date. LG has always succeeded to make me happy with their appliances. I love how every time I put a used drink in my fridge. It stays super cold so its refreshing when I want it again.
