I received an LG front load washer at 12 noon today. I did the first load which spewed soapy water on the floor. I did subsequent small loads with no overflow. The dispensers retain clear water after cycle completed. I contacted LG to question why the water remains in the dispensers and why the overflow. I was informed that I used too much soap which caused the overflow. This is my second LG, and I am no dummy. I know how to fill the soap dispenser to the normal or max levels using HE products. The response from LG is We only recommend 2 tbs for a big load. I measured the amount of liquid to fill to the normal mark which is 5 tbs and to the max level which is 7 tbs.I explained this to the LG rep and the response was, We have already sent this numerous times to the designers. WHAT??? They know about the problem, continue to produce the product using the same improper guides in the manual and intuitively, the consumer follows the dispenser level marks and provide no ALERT to consumer!!! Of course, I still needed to know about the clear water remaining in the dispensers. That is normal. The dispenser dispenses by overfilling the drawer, that is shy there is water remaining at the end. Of course! We all want stagnated water to sit in the drawer possibly turning moldy and smelly to be dispensed into the next load of wash! I am absolutely incredulous! How can a manufacturer possibly continue to produce and sell such a subpar product? I was pleased with my last LG that performed well for 6 years and recently started to overflow and would not pump the water adequately out of the washer. Not wanting to put money into repairs, I foolishly elected to purchase a new and improved LG washer. What kind of fool am I?

Purchased LG refrigerator in Nov. 2014. Jan. 2018 and my fridge and freezer are both at room temperature. All food is now garbage. Today repairman said this is very common for LG. Now waiting for a part to be available so repairman can come back to do the repairs. I paid $2400.00 for this fridge and it only lasted just over 3 years!!! My first fridge was $800.00 and I had it for 28 years. I would think not just twice, but more like 100 times before buying an LG refrigerator again. LG needs to step up the quality or get out of the business!!!

Purchased LG dishwasher about 15 months ago. After installation, we noticed a burning odor when it was on the drying cycle. We assumed it was just the new smell that would soon go away. It never did. After about nine months, we noticed an error code (hE) and that the dishes werent drying well. Called LG and got a local repair company to come out. They replaced the motor assembly, but the code was still there. Had the repair person out again and they replaced the circuit/control board. Nada. Called again, just days before our one-year warranty had expired and they came out to replace the motor once again and this time it worked. No odor.About a month or two into the new motor, we noticed the burning smell again. This morning, the (hE) error code was back. Im not expecting much response from LG after reading the other posts listed here. Fortunately, I purchased a 4-year extended warranty from Home Depot, so guess Ill have to start wrestling with them! I wish I had looked here before I made my purchase. Just to be fair, we bought a new LG washer and dryer at the same time and have been quite pleased with its performance.

I bought an LG refrigerator SS MODEL # LFX25991ST/05 Serial # 310KRRE1K246 in March 2014. It started freezing the vegetables and there was ice behind the right tray. The freezer begin to melt everything on top shelf of freezer. I called to get it repaired and after I think it was about 2 weeks a repair man came on Nov. 2. (I think his name was Keith.) He ordered parts and came back on Nov.12 and put the one part in and said he made sure the refrigerator was reprogrammed. He had ordered a new cover dispenser because the one on the refrigerator had turn black but they had sent the wrong part so he said he would be back Nov. 23 to install it. That evening when I started to get water there was Er under the word refrigerator and rf under the word freezer. I couldnt get water or ice. I unplugged the refrigerator and plugged it back in and it started to work. Every time I go to get water I have to do the same thing. I called back thinking it only needed to be reprogrammed again but couldnt get them to send someone out because the man who came the first time was scheduled to come back on Nov.23 even though I was told that someone would come on today Nov.19 but didnt show. Now the freezer keeps thawing and refreezing the food. The refrigerator will cool but not get cold. I have lost so much food not once but twice. Your service is very slow and your product is very poor. I will never buy another LG anything.

On August 25, 2019 my refrigerator started getting warmer and warmer. I called Sears repair but they only had an appointment two weeks out on September 10th so I took it. Thats a long time to go without a refrigerator. However, I read online that LG refrigerators have issues with their compressor so I decided to call LG direct to see if there was any warranty on my fridge I purchased in 2012. After the standard questions...the service agent provided me with a phone number of the local repair person for LG. I called Lilo and he was able to come out the very next day. He confirmed it was the compressor and then tested the motherboard to make sure the software would be compatible with the new compressor which it was, whew. I know there have been a lot of bad reviews here but I didnt have the same experience so I decided to take the time to post. Thank you for the help LG and I appreciate your service repair person here in Hawaii!

After many years of being professionals in the working world, we have hit on the WORST product and service from an appliance manufacturer. Our washer was just over 12 months old when we began to experience relentless problems such as continuous UE signals, subsequential refilling of the washer tub, prolonged run times up to 4 hours, and soaking wet clothes even after the spin cycle was completed. We called LG Customer Service and were told in so many words---too bad but it is your problem. We have been Honda car owners for 30 years and cannot say enough good about their customer service and working WITH us when any problems occurred. As a result, we have told many others to buy Honda and they will NEVER be disappointed. We were just told by a repairman that the control panel is bad and needs to be replaced to the tune of $234.00. This on a washer that is now about 15 months old. Quality control must not be existent at LG. In this case, we WILL tell all those we know NEVER to buy a LG product of any sort.

I have hated this washer almost since we bought it. Not long after we got it something in computer board malfunctioned within 6 months of buying it. Had to have a repair man come fix it. It is a LG WaveForce with direct drive inverter. It stops and beeps all the time because clothes are unbalanced. I dont feel it cleans my clothes very well. I have a hard time getting my clothes out of washer. (I am only 5 ft. tall so that is not really an issue with the washing machine itself.) Bottom line I will never buy a washer with a direct drive inverter. In my opinion a washer with an agitator is best for getting clothes clean.

I purchased LGLDT5678SS dishwasher in April. The dishwasher has a very annoying whistling sound during the fan/drying cycle which I reported to LG immediately. LG sent CVS Appliance repair to correct the problem. They replaced the fan; the whistling continued. I was told by their rep that it was probably a design/manufacturing flaw. I have called LG multiple times. I was told today by a supervisor that only TCC could authorize a replacement or refund, whoever that is. Do not buy this dishwasher. LG reps give you a constant runaround and the supervisor basically said LG would do nothing to correct or fix this. She put another work order in to CVS; their rep Randy called and said he had already repaired the dishwasher and that I should get another service company to come out. I have reached out to Ferguson, the company we purchased the DW from, they are my last hope. I cannot and will not live with this annoying noise which can be heard throughout my home, not just in the kitchen.

I purchased an LG dishwasher for my newly renovated kitchen, it was professional installed the first of May right before the final acceptance of the renovation. The plumbers tested the dishwasher and all appeared ok, I never had a chance to even use it once. On May 9th I walked into the kitchen to find three inches of water in the kitchen and dining/living rooms, with water pouring out from the dishwasher. It was inspected by the factory rep from LG that a clip on one end of water hose was missing and determined this was a factory defect. Since there was extensive damage to three Persian rugs floating in water, furniture and areas behind the newly installed cabinets I filed a claim with LG and after 4 months they still have not made a reasonable offer to reimburse me for the damages their defective product caused. Very very poor customer service. Will never purchase another LG product and would not recommend their products to anyone.

We had our kitchen remodeled 5 years ago and none of the appliances (several different brands) have been stellar. However, I will never purchase another LG product again because of our LG refrigerator.Within months, the ice maker hose failed causing a leak every time we accessed the in-door water dispenser. When our wood floor started to bubble up, we then realized something was leaking. The hose was replaced but within a few months, another leak started. This has been a constant problem for the entire 5 years we have had it. We just discovered a new leak but this time it is coming from underneath and on the opposite side of the refrigerator so we are not certain if this has anything to do with the ice maker.LG and Home Depot, where we purchased it as well as an extended warranty plan, have been a huge disappointment and we will never purchase an appliance from either again. The extended warranty only covered major parts after the first 18-24 months, so it was of no help after this time frame. Also, the process of getting someone out here to repair it, was inferior. I had to call the main headquarters of Home Depot. They in turn would have to set up a repair order with one of their contracted LG repair companies.Home Depot would then contact me back and give me the number to call. I would then have to arrange a time for the repairman to come to the house which always took a week or more. Once they came, no matter how clear I was about the problem and where the leak was in the hose, etc., they would always have to order the part which would take several weeks. They would then call me once the part came in to set up a time to return to repair the refrigerator.Consequently we would be without our ice maker working for up to 8 weeks. I share this because even the LG repairmen are inferior or they are overworked. I would love an attorney to contact me since our hardwood floors have been ruined over the years due to the repeated leaking.

We purchased an LG refrigerator, microwave and range about 8 years ago, all stainless steel. I have had nothing but problems with each one. A few days after microwave was installed, little dents started to appear on top panel. When I called customer service about this problem, they told me that it must be my fault that the dents are appearing--really??? The range knobs have melted and stripped, so now I have to use a pliers to turn the stove on or off. They did send replacement knobs the first time it happened. Now when I call again because of this defect, they tell I have to purchase them at the tune of several hundred dollars!! And by the way, the supervisor I spoke to was nasty!! The plastic drawers have cracked in the refrigerator and the sliders to slide drawers back and forth are breaking. My husband has duct-taped the inside where it is breaking. We are so disgusted with LG and their customer service dept. We would never recommend their products or ever, ever purchase another thing from them.

This dishwasher (LDF7810ST) quit after 2 years of use - it has never completely cleaned or dried the dishes even though a rinse agent was used. I rinse 3 times before a wash cycle and its still of no use. I had it repaired, but I should have bought another brand. I have also had an LG cellphone which was so annoying in its battery life that I went back to my old trusty Samsung for 2 1/2 yrs to wait out the contract. Life is Good as long as you do not buy LG.

Noise! Popping, knocking noises from my LG side-by-side Refrigerator! At first, I only noticed it happening at night. Now, they are happening in daytime as well. Sometimes, it is really loud! Dryer worked very well until it just stopped. Used about 2x a week for 3 years. Called LG and used their repairman for $150 to diagnose the problem. He took off the top of the dryer and the motherboard and wires were fried. Said he had seen it before and that replacement of motherboard would be $850. LG unresponsive. First time I have ever felt compelled to write a review but after reading through so many here and having the worst experience Ive ever had with a Customer Service group I really need to. For the reviewer who said they took a day off to be home for a confirmed (via email) service appointment that was a no-show cancellation because LG never actually had a repair person confirmed - the exact same thing happened to me two weeks ago today... I even called that morning 3 hours into my 4 hour window to verify and was told someone was en route only to find out when I called 90 minutes later I was only then told that the appointment was canceled. I later spoke with the repair facility and they told me they had declined the job because they didnt have availability!Seems Im luckier than most that my LG fridge has gone 8 years without incident. 16 days ago my wife opened it in the morning and it was totally dead. No lights, no compressor, just no power. The outlet tested fine but the lack of lights pointed to it being electrical. I called the toll free number for LG on the inside of fridge and the person seemed helpful enough; Said it probably needed a new motherboard, but because it was out of warranty he would need my credit card details and for $361 we could get this fixed. Thats cheaper than a new fridge so I gave him what I needed and they were certainly very expedient in putting the charge on my credit card! I started to look around on the internet to see if any other reports of this issue and if the fridge could in fact be saved and learned that this whole issue likely stemmed from a small, blown 15 amp fuse... A part that LG soldered into the motherboard rather than put in a easily bracket for easy replacement that could be purchased for about 25 cents. After the no-show appointment, LG Customer Service said they would give the job to another repair facility. They put me on hold, came back a few minutes later and told me they had left them a voicemail and they gave me the phone number and told me that I was free to reach out to them too. I phoned, and left a voicemail around midday that Friday and never received a callback. Over the weekend I phoned and left another voicemail to give them my cell # as well as Id be back at work on Monday and that would be the best number to reach me. By midday on Monday I still had not gotten a call. I did call the number through from the email confirmation the previous week and got a speaking person who gave me the true story on the canceled appointment and told me they could see me on Wednesday afternoon. Confirmed it with them and asked them to contact LG and that I would do the same to let them know that their other company doesnt appear to exist and they need to reassign it to the original technician they schedule. I called LG and was on the phone on hold for most of the time for almost an hour. After an hour and 20 minutes I was disconnected and nobody called me back (all this time Im at work and doing LGs work for them!). I called LG back on my way home and the told me all was good to go.Repairman comes on Wednesday (approximately 1 week since no fridge/contacting LG) after I take a half day to be home and the diagnosis is a blown fuse. Great, but despite it being known from the onset that the motherboard needs to be replaced he doesnt have the part, but they do have 2 in their warehouse and will work with the warranty company on the formalities to try and replace by Friday. No appointment gets made, Repair Service says theyre waiting on LG to approve. I call LG and they tell me another Department cant make the appointment as the Repair Services schedule isnt available online. I call the Repair Service and they tell me nonsense, theyre getting scheduling confirmations from them right now. I call LG back, they tell me theyre now waiting on the Claims Department to approve the part, a process that can take up to 3 business days (this despite charging me almost $400 to replace the part over a week ago).Monday this week comes and I have no phone call, and no appointment. I call LG back and again more being put on hold but now the explanation is were waiting on the part to come in. They couldnt answer me when their Claims Dept approved this so we arrived to this step, nor why we couldnt have had the repair facility (a LG contracted provider!) use one of theirs. They have in stock but Im starting to feel this whole thing is shady. They told me refrigerator repairs are given priority status (a joke!) and that my simple repair was being given a priority to be remedied this week.I called LG back 2 days later (Wednesday, 2 weeks of no fridge and first contact with LG) having not heard back from them and was told that the system shows that I was told that I would be contacted by Friday at the latest if the part had not arrived. I lost my patience at that point and told them I was not told the part coming in would take a full week and that I was instead told that my repair would be a priority to be completed this week and how could we be waiting on a part we knew it needed from the onset, that is readily available to purchase online at a fraction of what Im being charged, and that their repair service was in possession of 2 of them. I told them that rather than trying to bilk a few extra dollars of profit on this 5 minute repair job by using the cheapest available board they can assign in their system they really need to make this a customer resolution case as its been 2 weeks and I need to speak with someone who can look at this absurd situation and make an actual decision to get it fixed. They tell me they will try to forward me to a supervisor to see if they can help. After 10+ minutes on hold the person I was speaking with comes back online and tells me the repair appointment has been made for between 8 AM and 12 PM tomorrow. I thought someone in charge realized and was acting in customer-retention mode until they told me it was not the repairman who had seen me a week ago that would be coming but the one who never returned my 2 voicemails. I asked to confirm for certain hes bringing the board and fully prepared for the appointment to make the repair and am told is the case.I take another half day from work, and the repairman shows up early and when I let him in my house I half-jokingly say to him, Please tell me you have the board and he looks at me with no clue and says he didnt bring anything, the work-order he got only said LG Refrigerator - not cooling. Hes almost as angry as I am that he wasnt told the fridge was totally dead of electric and that another technician had already been here and made the diagnosis. I felt bad for him as he came from a good distance away in the teeth of rush hour having been told to make my call a priority but a total waste of his time and mine. At this point I called LG and just lost it with them and essentially told them their Out of Warranty purchase had to be some kind of scam bordering on criminality as there is no way a real business enterprise could be this incompetent! I was told my account was being escalated to their real Resolution people (i.e. the ones tasked with explaining the inexcusable) and it would take 24 to 48 business hours for one of them to contact me and no doubt the buffer is in hopes that Im much calmer.I have a family of 4 thats been living out of a cooler on my kitchen floor the last 16 days and running out every other night for a new 16 LBS bag of ice. I had to invest in a chest freezer for my garage so that we had some kind of food for my kids on-hand. Ive burned 2 full days off from work and have easily spent more than 3 hours on the phone during business hours on hold with LG. And my fridge is still not fixed, and no appointment in sight for someone to come here and essentially unplug 5 little plugs and then plug the 5 little plugs into the new board. And they charged me almost $400 for this level of service when I could have gotten a new board for $120 and done this myself.I think LG right now on the service front is trying to milk the last nickel of profit on these out of warranty purchases on the assumption it will be the last nickel they see from these customers. Perhaps a self-fulfilling prophecy experiences like this will make a reality. Maybe the US market isnt working out for LG Appliance as it doesnt seem like their heart is in it for the long-haul.

Our LG stove has also experienced cracked plastic stems on the SS burner knobs from regular use as others have posted. The problem was discovered when one burner would not turn off as the knob had rotated past the stop. This is a major safety hazard. The cost of replacement knobs is at least $75 to $95 each and not an acceptable option. I have devised a simple fix to reinforce cracked (not broken) plastic burner knob stems. The total parts cost is less than $5 for five burners and can be done using typical household hand tools or tools that cost only a few dollars each. I am preparing a detailed instruction sheet for sale on eBay for about $10, but will offer the draft now at a discount to anyone interested.

This is the worst experience I have had with any refrigerator. After buying a new expensive LG french door refrigerator (Model: LFX33975ST/02, Serial # 304KRRE1Y558) in Aug 2013, we have had SO MANY issues with the refrigerator starting within 4 months of buying it and having them come out to try and fix the same issues over and over again: 1) Water dispenser leaking. 2) Ice maker not dispensing. 3) Crisper drawer freezing my vegetables (for months now). I now have the same issues again since Dec 29th and still waiting for them to get addressed and being told that the refrigerator cannot be replaced because it is outside the manufacturers 1 yr warranty (even though we saw the same issues within 4 months of buying it)!! Massachusetts has a lemon law.. maybe time to call a lawyer???

We got this glass top range oven when we had our new kitchen put in 5/24/14. It looks great but just about 1 year into use the glass top cracked because I forgot the pan on for too long and started to burn. I removed the pan off the stove top and heard a pop. Did not think anything about it. When it got cool and try to clean the glass top I saw a crack and a small hole. We purchased insurance but not hopeful because when I talk to the LG representatives she said it may not be covered because it might it be done by us dropping something on top of it! That really sucks because we paid $2119 plus $179 for 5 year coverage. LG brand not worth the money! Stay away!

The top loading LG Smart Drive was purchased when we moved to a new home. We have had nothing but problems ever since. It becomes unbalanced frequently. When it becomes unbalanced, it adds more water in an attempt to swish the clothes to regain balance. Waste!!! This washer is unbalanced more than it is in balance. Sometimes it takes 2 days to wash a load of clothes. Ridiculous. In addition, I am never able to wash a small load - EVER. A small load in this machine is like a free ticket straight to unbalanced status. On top of this fun, my clothes are frequently knotted and twisted so badly that I have to untangle and untie my clothes prior to putting them in the dryer. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM LG AGAIN! EVER!!!

HATE this machine. I have never done a load of wash where the error light didnt come on for unbalanced load. It even comes on when doing the tub cleaning with no clothing in the tub. To get a load done it takes hours cause when I go to check the error is light up, so rearrange, start again.......This happens two to three times. Ive tried loading the wash around the edges, in the middle, etc. NO luck. Wish I never purchased this machine. I feel Im stuck now cause it wasnt cheap.

In September 2011, we purchased an LG gas range. Within a month, we requested a service call because two of the top burners did not operate correctly. Five months since purchase, we now have total failure of the oven (doesnt come on at all) and when it did previously work, the convention option for the oven worked erratic. I still have trouble with two top burners. The grill does not get hot enough to cook a pancake. The largest burner goes out of control with huge flames (scary)! Service person was out two weeks ago and we were informed that replacement parts were not presently available and we will be contacted later. I called again to launch a complaint. I was then told we would receive a call back later that day to report the status of our claim. No call was received.I am a caregiver to an Alzheimer patient who also is diabetic. I have special foods to prepare on this new, pretty stove that doesnt work well enough to prepare a decent meal. I am severely limited in my ability to provide nutritional care for my family member. And, yes, Im angry about the situation. My range cost $1,232 and for that expense I get a bag of trouble and face a company that will not yet (after five months) stand behind the unit to properly repair or replace it.

1) Super-duper energy efficiency is achieved by hard tumbling. I always set up this machine on the lowest possible setting for soil and spinning, yet it ruined a whole load of clothes. Everything made of knitted fabric (read: all T-shirts and all short-sleeve shirts) after one single washing cycle is stretched to the point that it is no longer usable, precisely - became 2 times wider and 2 times shorter. Also, I have 2 regular shirts ruined - the machine tears off buttons with pieces of fabric, and just tears apart fine fabric. I want to underline again - it happened on the lowest soil and spin setting. So, basically, if you are interested in Delicate cycle - it does not exist. All other cycles have no value, since you will get your clothes ruined anyway. The only thing the machine could be usable - washing jeans and soldier uniforms. Towels and linens are okay too, but forget about washing your clothes, any knitted and fine fabric.2) Because it is high energy efficiency machine, you cannot choose water temperature. Well, nominally you can, but in practice it tries to use cold water. In most of the settings except the last one, you will get cold water in the washing tank. The highest possible setting, hot/warm still uses cold water from the tap, and the machine does not have a water heater. So, to get hot water only you have to dance around it, and turn cold water tap off, then on.3) Water efficiency feature does not exist - it has a couple of settings like half tank and full tank. So, if you want to wash a couple of jeans or 4 shirts, you will get a half tank of water, and the tank is huge.Overall - taking into account the price, the efficiency, and the amount of good clothes I have spoiled by the machine - this is the worst purchase in my life.

I had purchased the above fridge and after 17 days its compressor was burnt. I insisted for its replacement but after full assurance by the companies repairing manager that any future complaint will be attended with immediate replacement, I gave my consent. To my utter disappointment, only after 3 days of its compressor being replaced, the same again, stopped working. Immediately I requested the repairing manager to provide a staff for its original repacking after which the same was delivered to authorized service center, viz. M/s S.R.Service Plot no 2.Raghunath **, Mahmoorganj, Varanasi, Uttar-Pradesh (INDIA) for replacement, but still after nearly two years, I have not received the replacement nor have my requests made by personal visit to your office been attended. Now, online complaints are also being directed to Branch Manager, Varanasi. On contacting her on mobile she had assured to revert yesterday but on several calls today, it was revealed that still they are checking their records. As a customer, I now request you to refund my money with interest and also compensate for the mental agony faced by me till date. Please, HELP ME GOD.

I purchase the refrigerator because of the innovative technology that it has. It is very functional and great for a large family. It also cools a lot better than most refrigerators and it is energy star saving as well. I love the fact that I had that three drawer space and also that it has open this technology to allow someone to look inside the refrigerator without opening it. Theres nothing I dislike about it except that it needs a little bit more space in the freezer portion. I would like to be able to stack meats and also have a separate compartment for ice cream and drinks.

Ive had this LG model LMV1683ST microwave under 2 years. I had my house remodeled by a contractor and spent $13,000 for new appliances. They choose LG for Refrigerator dishwasher stove and microwave. Then after 2 years later it suddenly started to making sparks and flames from one of the shelf hooks in the microwave started. If hadn’t been there in time, it had all the makings of a major catastrophe and burning down my home. I removed the metal shelf thinking that was the issue, but it was not. It happened again, and this time I unplugged the unit, and Im at the point of removing it from my wall and tossing in trash. When it comes to LG customer support or Technical support even executive services they’re useless. I’ve been trying now for weeks to get this resolved and get a replacement but as of yet there’s no resolution sight. I don’t trust this unit even if it’s repaired. Microwaves are not supposed suddenly burst into flames. I asked customer support if they would want this defective unit their home. Reply no. So then they’re saying it’s ok for a consumer to have it their home and risk harm to their family. As stated before. LG says their initials stand for Lifes Good. Should be Looking Grievous. Or LNG Life’s Not Good.

What a crap machine! Not recommended. Would rather get an Electrolux back. Korean SUCKS!

Had an issue with the ice maker so I had LG tech replace it for $243.00 but ice maker still did not work properly so another LG tech came and proceeded to break the ice gear in the freezer compartment while trying to fix it. He order parts to repair but the parts were wrong and he then told me parts were not available to repair. Refrigerator is 7 years old and after talking to executive customer service, they said its out of warranty so they are not responsible for keeping parts. I sent two letters to the President of LG USA with no response. The company has no customer service and a very poor business attitude. President does not respond to customers letters and customer service is so arrogant. The entire place should close down like Circuit City. I am personally going to tell at least ten people about my poor experience and hopefully they will tell ten and within a few years, LG will be gone. They are A MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY THAT DOES NOT DESERVE TO DO BUSINESS IN THIS COUNTRY. BYE BYE LG. WITH YOUR ATTITUDE, YOU WILL BE GONE..

I contacted consumer affairs and received a can message from lg stating they were returning the unit and send phone number name and claim # which I did. LG French Door Refrigerator is 1.5 years old and cooling system is intermittent, lost entire content of unit. The ice in the ice machine melted while I was away and ruined my hardwood floor ($450 repair for floor). The local authorized service techs said they have had others LG refrigerators have the same problem. Called LG and was able to schedule a technician to come out after 4 tries. I canceled before he came out because it was working again but since it was prior to the 24hr period they would not refund me. The tech said it would be hard to figure out what is wrong if it working. He suggested that he not come out and wait until or if it has problems again. He said he thinks it is the compressor which is $250 + 125 service call to fix but no guarantee that is the problem. Thank God the parts were under warranty. For a $2000 refrigerator I would of expected it to last more than 1.5 year and have no problems. My old 25 year old GE fridge is still working and never been serviced. LG customer service center is not terribly helpful; called a number of times, each time got a different story, they were only able to follow the script and there was no way to escalate to a supervisor - very frustrating. I usually look at the reviews before I buy. Did not this time but wish I had as I am not the only one to have this type of problem. LG not only has problem with their phones catching on fire and the tops of the washing machine coming off but now it looks like their refrigerators are junk also. Bottom line, will never buy an LG kitchen appliance again.

We bought a new front load LG washer from Home Depot in December 2015. It leaked from day 1 from the bottom of the door dripping down the washer to puddle on the floor. 5 months later we are still dealing with the issue. We have had 4 service calls with replacement of the seal, the door, and tightening the hinges. It still leaks and the foreign speaking folks in customer service just create another service ticket with a new company so they keep stringing us along inconveniencing the homeowner with an all day stay at home, wait for the repairman day so when they leave, I still have a washer that leaks. This is my first LG product and will be my last. I hope everyone starts to wake up and find another company to purchase from because LG by far is the most despicable company to have to deal with. If I could I would give it a NEGATIVE 5 star review. Very dissatisfied doesnt describe my experience. They truly dont give a darn about the customer!

Worst. Dishwasher. Ever. The tines collapse. The tines are too short and spaced poorly so the plates flop over and dont get clean. Dishes chip. The dishwasher rack derails because the rack is a little too narrow and the rollers arent wide enough to stay on the rail. It derails constantly. Then I have to try to lug a heavy rack back onto the rails and then it derails in the other direction. Detergent door doesnt click into place. Dishes often do not get clean. Purple plastic pieces holding the adjustable tines pop off and rows of tines fall into the dishwasher bottom. The pump has failed 4 or 5 times in 3 years, either blocked or defective. I made repeated, polite complaints to the company when problems persisted past the warranty period. LG DOESNT BACK THEIR PRODUCT! I paid $899 and Im replacing it with a Bosch that costs half of that. I hate this dishwasher! No, I really hate this dishwasher! (It gets one star because I cant give it negative 5 stars.)

We purchased this product from a big box store around 2007. The ice maker failed after 4 years and flooded our kitchen. I was disappointed in LGs response, and elected to not replace the icemaker due to out of pocket cost and fear of future failure. I figured Id keep the refrigerator anyway, since it was relatively expensive. This past weekend, I went into the kitchen in the morning and smelled burning plastic. I opened the fridge only to find that the temperature control and lights had melted to the point of dropping from the ceiling of the fridge. It was hot inside the fridge to the point where the butter had melted and dripped out of the compartment and down the door. There were visible scorch/melting marks on the light compartment. I think if I had not been home this weekend, it would likely have caught fire. I think this fridge is a fire hazard, and caution anyone with this unit.Being a consumer who doesnt want to waste money, I wanted to rig the machine so that its not a total waste. I screwed the control panel back into the ceiling, and replaced the bulbs with low wattage (and low temperature) LED lights. It seems to be okay for now. I will be replacing this fridge in the near future, and will not buy another LG product.

We recently purchased the LG front loading washing machine. After three months it flooded our floor. We spent thousands of dollars in water removal. Upon looking online we saw that many other LG customers had the same problem with this washer. LG customer support was horrid, rude and of no help at all. They could hardly care less about their customers. After being on hold for hours I was told that someone would contact us in 5 business days. This is the WORST appliance I have ever owned! Second day after receiving it we had to call repair out due to ice forming in freezer. So much ice in freezer we couldnt pull out the drawers. LG said it was a design flaw and fixed it. Fast forward. Luckily we had taken the extended warranty out for 5 years. In the 5 years we owned it before the warranty was up we had to have it repaired a total of 5 times with the last repair being the refrigerator totally stopped cooling. LG replaced the circuit board and said that should fix it. It didnt. They came back out and replaced the compressor. This fixed it but not totally. We were without a refrigerator for 1 full month. We had to turn the temperature lower than what it was actually cooling. I should have called them out again at that point but it was cooling. About a month after the warranty was out it stopped cooling to where it should be. Called repair again. They refused to work on it. Said they did everything they could do. Plus if it was the compressor again we would have to pay for labor. Also if it was the control panel, they only have refurbished parts because they dont make that anymore. We were concerned about it not being fixed after paying a bunch for labor so decided to have it taken to the dump after only 5 years and purchased a different brand that is made in the USA. We originally paid $2800 for this piece of crap!

LG French Door refrigerator - I hope this review will provide you with enough information to stay FAR AWAY from LG. I purchased this refrigerator in May, 2013. In early September 2017 the compressor died. Until LG determined that there was NO qualified installer in the Phoenix area, they made a one time arrangement with an independent contractor to install the new compressor. Five weeks later the replacement died and we have been arguing with LG customer service to have a new compressor installed. This has been going on for about a week. Two weeks ago I had knee replacement surgery and I am to ice it quite frequently. It take a freezer to do that. My wife has to keep going to the market to buy ice for me. LG does not give a damn about anything. They will offer no compensation for food lost, we asked LG to replace the refrigerator and they just laughed it off. As of today we still do not know when this will be repaired. What a disgrace!

My daughter and I bought a house with new appliances, (LG) the refrigerator
My daughter and I bought a house with new appliances, (LG) the refrigerator worked for 9 months but it was three months old when we started using it. When it failed, we called LG and they said it is out of warranty, you can hire an independent technician or hire us to diagnose the appliance. We hired someone who said it had a defective piece from fabrication. We called back to LG, they said they will repair for $400 where they will include the defective piece. I paid ($400) and they sent their technician who came and in a 5 minutes visit he said he came just to learn what was the problem, he would be back (one month already in this process). The next days we received a phone call from LG saying they wouldnt repair it because someone already put their hands on it and that we can expect $200 hundred refund (from my $400 I just paid) because the visit costs $200.How sad, how unfair, with my daughter a young person struggling to pay her bills receiving a treatment like this one. Now she has been more than a month with no refrigerator, lost the money she paid for the first technician and again the same amount by having LG putting their hands into her account in such a way. Their only suggestion is to buy a new one. Can I expect a little of justice for my daughter? I m planning to write a letter to the CEO but I know the chances for him to never read it are higher that the opposite. I hope you can do something about it.

I own the LG WT5101HW top load washer. I purchased 3yrs ago from Best Buy.
I own the LG WT5101HW top load washer. I purchased 3yrs ago from Best Buy. We have a family of 5 so I hoped the extra large capacity would be a great option. Unfortunately we have benefited from this option due to it throwing it off balance and giving an UE code. We received a recall letter and had the LG repair guy change the part (I believe the circuit board) in September 2013. Its no ones fault but mine that Ive waited 9mo to complain about the fact that the problems have been worse since the repair was done, but in my defense it didnt happen right away. The knob for the settings however did not get put back correctly and does not spin freely like it used to, but I tried to overlook that since it would cost me a day of work to have the repair guy come back out to fix it. The unbalance code would occur only about 2 or 3 times a month in the past and we just thought it was overloaded or honestly unbalanced, but when we checked it the clothes were not shifted in a way that shouldve caused it to be out of balance in my opinion. In the last 2 months however the code goes off more often, to the point where its every other load it seems even on a small load. The drum is very violent and causes the machine to shake around a lot. And when you move the clothes around and push the start button again even if it says only 1minute is left, it will run for an hour if you dont stop it. We have had to just turn it off and put in the dryer. Thankfully it has not ripped apart as Ive seen in videos, but at this rate it seems its any day now. When I called LG about the on going issue, they said that a repairman could come look at it, but it would be at my expense since its out of warranty. Doesnt matter that it is the same problem from the recall nor did it matter only 9mo have passed since the recall repair was done. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was given the same speech. I have been a huge LG fan for years after buying my first flat screen t.v. from them, but our family will never own another LG product after this and I will spread the word about LGs lack of concern involving a very expensive washing machine that last less than 3yrs. Id rather have my old Whirlpool washer with over sprayed paint to cover the rust at this point!

We purchased an LG WM1814CW washer and DLE2514W dryer six years ago from our local Home Depot. The washer truly has been a workhorse. We have no complaints about it at all. The issues we have are with the dryer. The drum split down its seam a year after we purchased it and was replaced at no charge, because we had also purchased the extended warranty. With a year to go on the warranty, we started having issues where the unit wouldnt start when the Start/Pause button was depressed. We didnt think much of it being that it was a rare occurrence. Less than a month after the extended warranty expired, the unit really started having major issues with this. Wed press the Start/Pause button, but the unit wouldnt begin the dry cycle. It would instead hum loudly and you could tell something was getting hot internally. I contacted the customer service department, asking if they would cover the repair because of the history with the unit. They flat out refused. Now this problem happens frequently and the only way to get the dryer going is to open the door, depress the Start/Pause button and the button just inside the door at the same time while manually rotating the drum to give it a jump start. Once the drum is rotating, we have to quickly shut the door hoping nothing gets caught in it in the process. If it does, we have to try it again. Occasionally it starts to go but then falters. If we press the Start/Pause button again, it may or may not go. We have been able to deal with it like this for the past 2-3 years. We did bring in a separate repairman to see if he could fix it, but he couldnt cipher what the problem was and ultimately gave up (after giving us his bill, of course). I guess one of the last straws with my dealings with LG was when they started sending us emails after refusing to cover the repair. The emails referred to my wife and I as valued customers. I told them in no uncertain terms that if we truly were valued customers, theyd repair the dryer at no charge to us.Because of the extremely poor customer service we received, I will never ever own another product made by this company. I dont care what the reviews are and I dont care how good the price is. Never again will an LG product cross my threshold.

This item had good ratings and suggestions directly to me from store associates and consumer ratings. Online there were very electorate reviews from multiple retailers and review websites about how this refrigerator, in general, was the best one that many of the spoken consumers had every previously owned. I like the water filter, cooling levels, storage space, stainless steal, and ice machine. Additionally, it has a wide breadth, lots of shelves, easy to clean interior and exterior, and good lighting inside the machine. Sound levels, height, and some leakage at the bottom occasionally. Otherwise, there is nothing else I notably dislike. I would improve the quickness of the ice making process for the ice maker machine, and I would also improve the noise levels for lower levels or whirring and shaking noises.

Purchased thru JC Penney Sept 2017 and bought extended warranty. Freezer began accumulating snowy frost and gaskets molding around French doors. Contacted LG and service thru A&E quickly arranged. Took 3 visits due to wrong parts shipped but I was pleased and wrote positive review. Then after a couple of days, same snow reappeared and freezer drawer stuck. A&E came again after hours (did not go thru LG--I had his cell and called) and heated drawer to unstick. By 11 pm same day, drawer stuck again. Called LG, scheduled another call. This time man said middle hinge piece between doors needed replacing so ordered, waited, another call to install. Same problem recurred. Called LG in tears, asked about replacement or lemon policy and was told LG needed details from repairman so I waited over a week, heard nothing, called LG again and there was nothing to indicate that LG was supposed to do anything so I had wasted another week and 1/2. I was EXTREMELY upset and LG agreed to send a repairman from another company so a man from Keiser came and said the entire freezer drawer (not the inside but the whole thing) was out of alignment or something and he adjusted. It has been a couple of weeks and so far so good. We have LG washer and dryer set and were very happy with the quality which is why we purchased the refridge but dealing with LG, trying to understand the heavy accented folks on the phone, not following thru, making me feel desperate AND the mere fact that the fridge had such issues after less than 2 years has completely shaken the confidence I once felt.

My LG LRE3083ST Electric Range worked flawlessly for the first year. Then the controls quit functioning properly. It was intermittent at first. Sometimes I had to reset the circuit breaker to turn off the oven. Then the stove top controls failed. I could turn on only the rear burners. I contacted LG customer service thru their website. The reporting process was cumbersome, but LG agreed to send a repairman out to fix it. The repair seemed to be good. The oven and stovetop both worked. That was 6 weeks ago. This past weekend the stove top controls failed again. Today I contacted LG. This time by phone. The customer service person was friendly, but after conferring with others there, she politely told me that any future repairs would be on me. I have been an LG television and appliance owner for over 10 years. I have never had an LG appliance fail so miserably. This problem is likely a quality control problem, but LG does not acknowledge that. The control boards that the repairman installed in January failed before the end of February. The boards must be defective. My respect for LG just took a big hit. I will no longer recommend the products and will consider other alternatives when I replace my 15-month-old range. I will not pay to repair it because it will probably fail again.

The front loading washer and dryer have a tendency to pull threads and tatter clothes. Have been unable to find any snags or loose parts in the machines, but it continues to tear up our clothes and linens. The machines are a year old and have just started doing this. May need to switch back to our old brands of machines. Went back to place of purchase and they shrugged their shoulders and said this is a recurring problem. Their suggestion was to call a tech and spend $250 for a service call.

I dont trust any of the side loaders due to the possibility of water leaking around the door seal. Price was discounted for a holiday, from Lowes. Lowes installation bothered me a lot. This washer and dryer replaced Kenmores that were 25 years old, and still running. Quality means a lot to me. I expect these LGs to last at least as long as my 25 year old Kenmores since engineering and technology MUST have improved in the last 25 years. After a year, I am very happy with the LGs. Occasionally, the washer cant balance the load and I have to redistribute the washer contents. Note that the basin spins at over 1000 rpm, so a balanced load is critical. Thats okay. I thought the vast number of washing options were way too many, so too the dryer. But I guess some owners will use options that I dont. The clothes load size is really big. You will need very long arms to reach the bottom of the washer to pull out all the items.

I purchased the LG WT5101HW Wave Series ultra large capacity high efficiency top load washer with LED display, ColdWash technology, 1100 RPM, energy star compliant on January 1, 2011 after spending hours on Consumer Reports looking for the best machine. I purchased the machine from Appliance Connection and even though they encouraged me to purchase the extended warranty, I did not. I now have an EO error that will not go away. I checked on the LG website and the only remedy was to remove the hose and look for blockages and to check the filter. I did check the hose, there was no kinking and no blockage. There is no filter in the drain line, the only filters are in the hot and cold water supply lines which have nothing to do with water draining from the machine. The only way to get the machine to drain is to have the line lower than the tub, which is not feasible because I do not want the dirty water draining on the floor or for that matter, anywhere other than the drain line. When the error occurred, the machine had a load of towels and we had to wring the towels out and remove the water manually by dipping it out with a small bucket. This took a great deal of time and energy. The LG representative told me that I need a service call and the company that performs the maintenance is 1.5 hours from where I live and cannot respond until Friday between 8 and noon. This is very frustrating to have an issue that may or may not be corrected before the weekend because the technician may or may not have the parts. I also checked the company that is to respond to the service call and they have had several negative comments from former customers. I have now read the comments on this site and am apprehensive as to whether I will have a satisfactory outcome. I am also contacting Consumer Reports since I relied on their evaluation of this washer. I also purchased a dryer and I did get a 4-year extended warranty, which I will probably need. I had a Maytag washer that is now being used by my son and his college roommates. I may ask for it back!

New LG washing machine default wash setting of NORMAL only fills tub with about 1/4 of water. I watched a complete wash cycle and some of the towels were never submerged in the water. They did not get sloshed or agitated in any water. They just stayed in a pile above the water line. This is terrible. I called LG and they told me that was normal for the NORMAL setting to save water. If I put a lot of clothes in the tub I have to choose the bedding setting so the tub will fill with water and the clothes then get washed properly. I am so sorry I did not check and observe this as my 30 day free return period has passed by just 10 days. I would definitely have returned this washing machine if I had known it doesnt have a means to sense how much water to put into the tub. Also trying to get service on their website is not easy. I will never buy any LG product in the future. LG = Living Good, well not for me.

The last man to come out told me that the previous technician that came out didnt know what he was doing, and he was terminated because he was caught lying to customers. I was also promised by LG a voucher for thousands of dollars worth of food I had to throw out because of all the times my refrigerator broke down. I sent in the receipt and I have a copy of the email but I never heard from them again. I never received the voucher for the food. I am a single mom of four kids and for me to lose thousands of dollars worth of food is completely disgusting. I would never buy an LG product ever again. Our LG refrigerator (LFW31925SW) has stopped cooling/freezing. After reading the MANY reviews, I am very concerned. I do not want to put $500 - $1000 in repairs (even though it is still under warranty) just for it to happen again. It appears that there is a Class Action Lawsuit about this problem but my model is one of the excluded models - Also excluded are consumers who bought LG refrigerator models of which fewer than 1,000 units were sold “or for which the service rate for No-Cooling Events was less than 1% of sales,” the settlement says.. Is there a way to get this repaired without having to do a repair again in the near future?

The freezer also had a ton of storage and temperature controls were included as well. I dont have a whole lot of complaints. It has been and continues to fulfill its purpose. Finally, when I called to have someone come out, they told me I was no longer under warranty. It is completely unreliable and I never know if it will work. I cannot understand how LG can get away with selling stoves that dont work. We ran all diagnostics and it said nothing was wrong. Now, a little over 3 years later, the freezer and fridge do not work. The repairman gave us a quote that was higher than the price of a new fridge, which I can’t afford. I just don’t understand how the compressor died so quickly. And according to the repairman, the unit will never be the same even after repairing this part. My daughter did use the stove and it worked fine as far as using the burners was concerned. I am a baker (experienced) and so I tried the ovens and they do not work properly. They are not calibrated correctly and bake uneven and spotty. The oven temp does not work properly. The cakes bake/burn on the outside and not in the middle. Now, the 90-day warranty has passed and I do not know what I can do to get this lemon of an appliance replaced. Everything is in order. So we called our local repair company and they told us that they have had multiple calls about this same issue. My husband called LG and spoke with a couple of people there including a manager. The first person told us that the self-cleaning feature should be used every couple of months to keep it working properly. We told her that it doesnt say that anywhere in the manual. Basically they said, Sorry we cant help you. This is an engineering defect. And should be taken care of by LG. The lady from our repair company said that on some of the ranges, the cook top has cracked because of the heat. We are very disappointed in this company. And will never buy LG products again.

Buyer beware of this refrigerator! I have an LG fridge (through sears –kenmore elite). I have spoken to Sears and LG. Both are saying that my less than two year old fridge not working is the others problem. I have now paid to have both a Sears technician and an LG technician look at it. The first tech said the issue was the refrigerant cooling system and the compressor was gone. This was the local LG authorized appliance repair person. The second was the Sears authorized repair tech who said it was the electrical board, but it could also be the compressor but they werent sure. Both say NOT their problem!! It is going to cost 1150.00 to fix my fridge after Xmas! I have now had no fridge for over two weeks. Life is definitely Not Good!!!I spoke to Sears, they also told me, not their problem. So what what do I do now? I know, pay $1150.00 for my fridge. If my fridge, was older, I would get it! But it is less than two years old!! You know that is not right!! We have had the washer and dryer several years. Both units give the worse performance of any washer - dryer combo we have ever owned. The washer has three issues; one, it does not get the clothes clean; two, if you run a load with bleach you have to run an empty load to clean all of the bleach out; three, after every wash you must wipe the door ring out to prevent any odor. The dryer has two issues; one, it does not dry clothes well; two, More lint goes outside than the lint screen catches (we had representative over to look at it and he stated that this is just the way it is with the new dryers). Let me start by saying I will never buy another LG product and will warn others to stay away from this manufacturer. I purchased a French Door Refrigerator Model LFX25978 and after approximately 3 years the compressor failed. Although the refrigerator was under a one year warranty, the compressor had a ten year warranty which is one of the reasons I decided to purchase it so I had a glimmer of hope that this repair would be covered by LG. NOT EVEN CLOSE. After very frustrating discussions with customer service I was told that I would have to have an authorized service center diagnose the problem at a cost of approximately $175 and upon their verification, they would send a compressor directly to my home free of charge but I would have to pay for the repair. My total cost was around $800. When all was said and done. HERE IS THE REAL KICKER. Fast forward just short of another 3 years to now and the compressor failed for the second time. Obviously there is a problem with this part that the company is unwilling to address. When I called to see if the company would make some type of accommodation, I was treated very unprofessionally and they would not offer the slightest relief. NEVER AGAIN. POOR QUALITY COUPLED WITH POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A VERY BAD COMBINATION.

If I could give warning signs or negative stars I would! Bought my first machine about a year ago. I havent had a working washing machine since. The machine didnt work from day one. My husband called the company and got the run around for 3 weeks. I contacted Home depot and they got an LG authorized repairman to look at it. Needed a water pump (so they say). Mind you it has only been used twice. They also warned me of the special low-sudsing soap needed (another excuse). Home depot replaced it. However, the second one was just as bad as the first and had the exact same problems. As far as the soap, I ran it with no soap and had the same issues. My last two machines lasted about 10 years each with one service visit between them and they used any kind of soap! They werent top of the line expensive machines either. Im ready to eat the purchase and chuck this piece of junk. The company should give free service to everyone who bought their junk products for 3 years or be sued for selling substandard lemons. No way were they unaware that their product was junk. Two machines in a month and neither work. I will never, never buy an LG product ever again.

Likely what caused the fan to go out the first time. I called LG for service and was told I would be called back to schedule service in 2 days. This is day 6 and no call. I had an LG front load in the washer for six years and the bearing started to go out and needed to be replaced. I called LG and they sold me a warranty to fix the problem. A week later I was contacted by a local appliance store, who came out and looked at my machine. They said yes, it was a bearing problem, but they were not sure that LG would actually authorize the repair, even though I had called LG and specifically requested a bearing repair replacement and they had listened to the machine as it was operating and agreed that it was a bearing problem. The repair technician called them and they did agree to repair my machine. He ordered the parts and two weeks later showed up to do the repair. He worked on my machine for about three hours and finally got the job done. After he had reassembled my machine he said it would be a good idea to run a cycle to make sure it was all cleaned out after the repair. Without me doing anything, he started the machine, which sounded like it was working properly. He left and a few minutes later I left for an appointment. When I came back about 20 minutes later the door on the machine was knocked open the trashcan next to the machine was knocked over water was all over the floor, And the breaker to the machine had been tripped. I called the repair man and he came back within about an hour and looked at the machine. Now the tub, the plastic one that encircles the steel one, has a crack in it and was vibrating so violently inside the machine cabinet that it broke the heating element compartment and spewed water all over the entire inside of the machine in the electronics in there. I called LG to inquire what to do now and they basically say that they will not cover this repair because I should’ve not left the house with the washing machine running unattended. ** believable… I cannot believe that a company would say some such BS to a customer who contacted their repair department, purchased their recommended extended warranty, and used their certified repair technician. And keep in mind it was the technician who at the end of the repair said it would be a good idea to run an empty cycle to clean everything out of the washer. And he did not say you need to stay in the house with your washing machine. And I would imagine almost everybody has washed clothes and left the house with the washer running.I feel that LG has demonstrated incredibly poor customer service and corporate malfeasance with the way they are abusing people with their worthless warranty. I am considering legal action, and possibly a class action lawsuit to see how many other people they have treated in this way. If you have been treated this way, please call me and leave a message at **. Leave your contact information and tell me about your LG warranty nightmare experience. I will write it up and hopefully turn the materials over to a law firm.Nobody should be treated as poorly as I was… Basically they sent a technician into my home who completely destroy my washing machine in an attempt to repair my machine that obviously went wrong, and now LG is blaming me. Ridiculous. Outrageous. Nobody should be allowed to do business this way. I will also be contacting one of our local TV affiliates who does stories on problems like this and see if they want to pick this up. I am pissed and I imagine there are a lot of other people out there just like me.

We currently have a LG French Door Refrigerator with freezer drawers & the seals on the doors for the fridge have ripped & the doors no longer close properly. It seems EVERY LG forum I have been on has the same problems. It seems that the seals are a big LEMON! LG should have a recall for the seals for this reason. We paid so much money to get the best fridge we could & this is RIDICULOUS! We also have an extended coverage contract in effect.

We purchased an LG Dryer one week ago and have not been able to use the dryer from day 1. We plugged in the dryer and immediately received a shock. We plugged it into the same 220v outlet that our previous dryer used and never received a shock. We called hhgregg to ask for help and were directed to call LG for service. They gave us the name of a local appliance repair store, who we called. We set up an appointment and later confirmed that they would come out. But they called the LG Company and we were told that our problem was our homes electrical system, and they couldnt do anything to help us. We cannot use an appliance that has an electrical problem and gives shocks whenever you touch it. We are returning the dryer because they refuse to help us and say its our fault. We will never buy an LG appliance in the future and would suggest to others not to buy them either.

Our French door fridge with bottom freezer stopped cooling/freezing. The fridge has a production date of 07/2017. I called the service department and the earliest appointment is June 17th. I called today at 9:30 am June 8th. As a result I have had to purchase a small fridge as going 10 days without a fridge is not possible. It is very disappointing and will influence any other purchases.

I would give 0 stars! I have to get rid of the LG Tromm. It’s only 5 years old. It has bad odor and leaking door gasket. I bought this machine for the capacity and efficiency. Now it is costing me time and money due to the high maintenance of cleaning the washer so it will clean the clothes. The smell is unbearable. It’s got to go.

We bought an LG dishwasher in December of 2018 and just 4 months later it totally crapped out. We called LG and they wanted to send a service repairman that was more than two hours away from us. He wanted $1000 upfront to come out as he didn’t want to fight with LG to get paid. We said no. Not for a $700 dishwasher. So we got a guy who is only 40 minutes from our house and is very reputable to come and look at it. When he pulled it out he discovered the control switch had caught fire and burned a hole in the bottom of my cupboard! It could’ve burnt my house down!At time of purchase we bought an extended warranty only to find out it’s not worth the paper it’s written on because we live too far away from the city we bought it. Also the control panel was completely fried. They wouldn’t consider paying us for the guy that came out because he’s not registered with them. Still fighting with them to see if we can get our money back as we don’t want something that is a fire hazard in our house. Do not purchase LG products! They are crap.

I bought my LG Top Load Washer 5101 in March. Within a few days, I noticed scratches on the lid. I have no kids, no cats, nothing rough that I put on the lid. I called LG and they acted surprised that such a thing could happen. I asked for a new lid but they refused. So I returned the machine to Best Buy and got another one (I really liked how it cleaned). Its now August and even though Ive been super careful and have only put a plastic laundry basket on the lid, the strip closest to the glass has scratches all over it (and no, I dont have any mice).I was going to buy the matching dryer but now hesitate. I would love to be in contact with the woman who said her problems were cosmetic, too.

We purchased LG dishwasher model LDF8072ST from Best Buy, along with an LG refrigerator, range, microwave, washing machine and dryer. 6 new appliances. Spending thousands of dollars with LG. Our dishwasher has not worked for months. We have called LG numerous times, e mailed LG (never once have I received an email response), and chatted online with LG. 9 NINE calls to LG to schedule service. Many more calls to discuss. Service scheduled 7 times. Service only showed 5 times. Hours on phone waiting, taking work off waiting for techs, twice no shows. Service tech says there is nothing else he can do. Clearly a defective lemon. Submitted a defective return request. Time quoted for resolution has passed. Nothing from LG. Tried calling again. Given the usual run around. We have been all summer without a dishwasher (4 months). Will never buy LG products again. Have never had such poor customer service. We supplied ALL the documentation of every call, every service report. LG is non responsive and letting the original warranty run out. I want to now file a suit against them.

Knobs on stove disintegrate & become nonfunctional & break. This is my 3rd replacement of knobs, & I will need a 4th replacement soon. The first 2 were covered by extended warranty. The knobs when bumped, can easily, cause gas to escape. The can happen with the lightest bump, & is generally unnoticed, by individual, until the strong gas smell is evident! My communications over the years has been extremely frustrating, & unacceptable. I was told that knobs are ornamental by one employee. Another claimed it was my misuse because I left the oven door open. Once someone told me I would get replace the knobs free within a week. They never came! I finally bought new ones for about $275. The plastic overlay on what appears to be a metal knob is beginning to crackle. That means the cylinder that holds the knob on is soon to break. I bought the latest replacement knobs less than 6 months ago. It seems to me there is a sufficient case for a class action suit against LG.

The area around and under the bleach dispenser has rusted causing rust to fall into our clothing. We purchased an extended warranty from Home Depot and they and LG both indicated that this would not be covered and said that it is a cosmetic issue. We dont like our clothing getting rusty! DO NOT BUY AN LG WASHER OR AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FROM HOME DEPOT! This warranty (5 yrs.) is deceptive and Home Depot lied to us.

My wife called service line, and to call local authorized service, they scheduled for repair on October 5th. The fridge started malfunctioning on Sept 2nd, 2020. Now, I am awaiting what kind of response or solution they will give to the valued customer. I will updating the development of the issue until the case resolved.
