We purchased this fridge about 4 years ago. From the start it had a manufacturing defect on the water hose that supplies water for drinking. It would drip down the front of the fridge after you got water out of it. They came out and replaced the whole door, but would not replace the stainless steel lever that had gotten stained from their defect. Then it started to give us ice with what looked like dandruff, I have not been the 1st person to complain about this. All it needs is a new ice tray but have to buy the whole assembly. The door since day one has had moisture collecting on it, bad door seals I am suspecting. You close the left door and the right one pops open. This thing is a piece of garbage, and I got the same dont care attitude with their customer service as others have noted on here. We also have an above stove microwave, 2 went out right out of warranty, not even a month past. LG means life is good for them, cause by time you find out you bought a piece of crap it is too late. I also wish I could post a picture of what the ice tray looks like, it grew some yellow hard something or other on it. Very gross to say the least. It seems to me all they care about is making a sale, but not taking care of the customer after purchase. I will never ever ever ever buy LG again.

Sorry I didnt know prior to purchasing. We purchased in 2015 and it had a couple problems from day 1. The bottom racks fell in so we had to call a repair person who literally stretched the bottoms of the racks out so they would not fall into the bottom. Several glasses broke right off because the top rack has a terrible design. DW is hard to load and Im constantly shifting things. NOW it no longer cleans the dishes properly. We use recommended products and get residue now more than ever. Please stay away from this dishwasher.

I bought an LG stainless steel tall refrigerator recently & HATE IT! The thing is ALL POCKED MARKED and DENTED, they must use tin foil to cover it in because the thing looks terrible after minimal wear, 2 older people, no kids, minimal furnishings, in a corner... what a disappointment it is to even discuss this issue with their customer service. Useless!!! I will never buy LG anything again... they make cheap, junk!

I purchased the washer and dryer because I had had good experience with my LG television. To my total surprise, these two products are absolutely the worst pieces of junk I have ever experienced. What I would give to have my old washer and dryer back. The water level does not half cover the clothes and they come out almost as dirty as they go in. I turn the ** thing on and off until the water level at least cover the clothes. Im not sure what goes with the dryer but the clothes come out stinking and I keep turning the dryer back on thinking they are not getting dry enough and are mildewing. Ive tried everything I can think of and used so many different products to try to get a better result, but nothing works. I hate my LG products.

We have a LG4801CW top loader washing machine that has had a slow leak we just discovered, as there was never water visible on the side or front of washer to indicate leaking. However, overtime water has been leaking out of the back of the tub as far as a plumber can tell going behind the washer and under our trim and tiles/sub floor. After a year and a half of having the washer we noticed two of our tiles had cracked by the washer. When my husband pulled up the tiles, we found mold and water in the sub floor around the washer and more cracked tiles hiding behind the washer. We have contacted LG and they wanted to charge us to come fix THEIR FAULTY PRODUCT that was 1.5 years old because it was no longer under warranty. Pretty sad when they dont stand by a product that is 1.5 years old. They were supposedly reviewing our case and would get back to us in 3-5 days, yet have not and we have called them several times and it has been a lot longer than 5 business days. I feel like we are getting the runaround and Im sick of having a torn up house. Because of the damage to our flooring and since we have an open floor plan this has resulted in ~10,000k in flooring we have to tear up because we cant just replace one section. They no longer make our tile and we are out of extras. The plumber that came out said dont buy LG products as the design is too new and are very frequently faulty.

My mother who lives in LA got a high tech LG fridge about 4 years ago which 2 months ago its compressor stopped operating and from that time she has made 6 different appointments with LG customers service to fix it! Every time they go and have look at the fridge and they say well, its the compressor and we dont have it with us!!! Thats all they do. Then my mom has to call them again and book another appointment which usually takes 2 weeks for them to appear, and the same story goes on! Its such a shame that the summer is going to finish and my mom couldnt use her fridge for 2 months. I wonder if LGs customer service has any ideas about living without a fridge in the summer time at all??? Its while my mom paid about $4000 for an useless huge box to sit in her kitchen! Thats not acceptable, frustrating and were not only gonna stop buying LG products, but also well get a lawyer to fix this problem ASAP!!!!

I wanted to be fair about my review so I waited until I had it a while. I bought this machine a yr ago and I am very disappointed. In any cycle, theres not enough water to get everything wet, say nothing about rubbing the clothes together. The repairman came out for a repair issue and stated the machine was made to wash ONE set of sheets not two. If I want anything really clean, I have to go to bulky to get enough water to make any soap suds. Most of the time, I can see the blue soap color on some of the clothes.. They dont get wet enough to get the soap off. I will not buy LG anything again.

We purchased a washer and dryer set in December. The week of June 22nd I called because the washer stopped working. The technician was sent out on June 26th and it was determined that 5 parts must be replaced because it was defective. They were suppose to be replaced on June 29th and the technician called to tell me the parts didnt arrive over the weekend and he would hopefully call me to come back out on July 1st. It is now July 14th and we STILL do not have a washer! I paid for a BRAND new washer, not a defective one. This is UNACCEPTABLE that this is taking this long! I have called the 1-800 number several times and every time, Im told that it should be here tomorrow. I am having to go pay to wash my clothes at a laundromat. I am tired of the run around! I want this taken care of and I want it explained to me how a brand new product that is currently still being sold can take this long to be fixed! Your product and your customer service has much to be desired!

Updated on 04/16/2020: As follow up, after I posted a complaint about my microwave, LG posted a reply on ConsumerAffairs which implied that they would look into our complaint. Wrong! We received a call today 4-16-2020 from the next level supervisor who said you received bad information from our customer service rep but we still cannot honor our warranty. This was the second LG microwave we had purchased, and the second to fail. This last one after about 4 months. One of the last LG reps we spoke to said there was no problem with our reimbursement paperwork and the warranty reimbursement check would be sent right out. Wrong again! This last supervisor told us that his company gave us bad information on how to file a claim and too bad for us that they made the mistake and now we are out the cost for another LG microwave. Just beware, if you do have issues with your appliance that is under warranty, LG may not honor their warranty even after admitting they were at fault.Original Review: We purchased a LG microwave to replace the LG microwave that stopped working after 2 years. After 4 months the new LG stopped working. It was under LG warranty so we called and submitted the warranty reimbursement form. After not hearing back for over a week, we called and they advised us that they needed the serial number from the unit cut in half. We submitted both the form and the serial number. After not hearing back again we called and they told us to submit the cut serial number tag on the actual submission form, so we did that and send it back in. After not hearing for two to three weeks we called again and we were told we also needed the manufacturer tag cut in half and submitted on the form. At that point being over two months of dealing with LG, we had already disposed of the unit. We told the rep and he advised no problem they would be sending the reimbursement check to us.After another week and a half we called in again and we were told without the cut manufacturer tag on the form we would not be reimbursed. We explained that the last rep said there was no issue with this and explained the entire situation again. We called again to be disconnected and called again to be told there would be no reimbursement without the manufacturer tag. After much discussion we asked the rep to send our request to a supervisor. She said it would be another week before a supervisor could look at our request.Bottom line buy a better brand microwave unless you want to continue to replace them and have LG give you misinformation to file a claim under warranty. Had I known their service was this poor I would have never bought any LG appliances. Had we known we needed more information off the unit we would have gladly supplied that at the time but the representatives gave us bad information. There are too many good quality products on the market to settle for horrible service and low quality from LG.

This refrigerator (French Door Model LFX21960ST) is only about 3 years old. The first year we had to call out the repairmen because, evidently, the light was not going out when the door was closed. This is difficult for me to know since I rarely spend time inside the unit with the door closed. As a result, the bulb burned, melted and fused the carriage to the top of the fridge. It was still under warranty so it was fixed, though I had to take off work to wait for service. Now the display shows ‘Error’ which means, according to the LG site, repair must be called again! I have never had a refrigerator that needed service much less one needing major work within two years.

Kenmore and LG refrigerator have known compressors that fail way before the life of these appliances. I know because mine failed today. I talked to LG and Sears/Kenmore and neither cared. They each blamed the other. My refrigerator is only four years old and I paid over $3,000 for it. I know I am not alone. There is a class action lawsuit against LG for this same problem. I advise that everyone that has this problem join in. Don’t let these companies take advantage of us any longer.

LG HE Top Loader is the worst purchase I have ever made! I have read the reviews here and thank goodness, this washer has never caused any damage to our home. But it is literally IMPOSSIBLE to do laundry with this thing. We purchased this in February 2015 and while I cant find the model number right now, it is a top loader, 4.9 cu. ft. bought at Lowes. From the moment we bought it, we quickly discovered it is insanely touchy about keeping in balance - the first couple of months, almost every load I did got off balance and caused the machine to make horrible noises, bumping and jumping around until I got the OB error and it would just stop. After talking with numerous people, I learned it is best to fill the washer completely with clothes and this eliminates the problem most of the time. Well, I dont know about you but in a 2 person household, it is almost impossible to completely fill this machine, every time I use it. For instance, I am trying to wash a load of towels right now - every bath towel that we own, exactly according to the machine instructions and it keeps getting off balance because the towels are too heavy from water and bang around in the machine. I NEVER had to even think about this with my standard machine and now it feels like every time I do laundry, its practically a physics lesson to think about the proper mix of clothes to get the right weight to finish a cycle. It should NOT be this difficult and you cant tell me LG doesnt know this. I dont know if any other brands have this issue but for the amount of money we spent, these clothes should practically wash themselves. Sometimes, advanced technology is NOT better, only more chances for things to go wrong.

Ice develops under the freezer part of this refrigerator (LFX28968ST) which is 4 years old. I have to chip the ice out. My sister also has a LG french door refrigerator that is 2 years older. She also has this problem. When calling LG to see if I could have my tech fix it I was told the only solution was to have a certified LG repair person come to my home. Customer service at LG had no idea what I was talking about. In a search online I found how to fix the issue and also read this is a common issue with LG french door refrigerators. $1,200 estimate from an authorized LG repair person made me rethink buying another LG product. I will fix it myself and do more research on companies that stand behind their products.

I purchased this black refrigerator in Aug 2012 from Home Depot, Nashua NH. I noticed (especially the last year or so) that on the outside door, under the control panel/water & ice dispenser, that there was leakage of what seemed to be rust-colored liquid (?water). This has corroded the surface under the control panel & dispenser. I wrote to LG twice, knowing it was no longer under warranty, asking what I could do to repair this or what seemed to be causing this. The response from LG is below:As much as I want to help you regarding this issue, I wont be able to. Manufacturers warranty is designed to take good care of any failures in the early life of the unit. Aside from the one year warranty, there are also parts thats covered for 7-10 years like the Sealed System. After this will be expired, you would be responsible for any repair or replacement part for the unit that is not cover under warranty. If the unit was purchased 2012, this is already out of warranty. I apologize however we will not be able to cover the issue on the control panel. I wish I had a more favorable answer. But we thank you for letting us know your concern.

We purchased the LG French Door Refrigerator a few years ago and honestly has been nothing but problems and issues since the purchase. From the beginning, several parts (plastic door holders) starting falling off and breaking. We have had repair people out multiple times in the past few years (including again today). The refrigerator often freezes items and the freezer does not freeze (yes this is somewhat ironic). The freezer door is currently broken and ice maker is hanging down. Also, LG customer has been very difficult to work with, one of the most difficult appliance and customer service experiences I have ever had. Range I purchased from Warner Stellian is a 5 burner gas range model number
Range I purchased from Warner Stellian is a 5 burner gas range model number LRG3091SW/03. I would not recommend purchasing this particular unit. While I am satisfied with the oven, the stove top is a problem. The unit is less than 2 years old. There are 3 issues. The burners on the stove present a safety issue. If you set a smaller pan on the front burners the pan easily tips and hot liquid spills onto you, the floor or any person (thinking children here!) that happens to be standing at the stove. See image. The 5 knobs for the stove top have all cracked. See image. The oven control panel is electronic. The covering has cracked and is now cracked almost all the way up. See image. The range is normally used once or twice a day for a family of 2 which I consider less than normal range. I contacted the LG company and their reply was basically, Thats too bad since the 1 year warranty is over but you can pay to have it fixed (paraphrased but you get the idea). No mention of the safety issue I reported. I should have contacted the company within the 1 year since these issues started within the first year but I didnt however, I have owned multiple ranges over the years (with much more usage when our family was 5 people) and those have easily lasted 5-10 years without issues. Dont purchase this range!

I am at my wits end. I have an LG gas stove. I have already gone through 4 sets of knobs, the original ones, 2 sets that I purchased, and 1 set that LG sent (which they told me were now made better). The set LG sent me have also broken and I am turning my stove on and off with pliers. The reason LG sent me a free set was because I called them and told them I walked into my house and smelled gas and my husband and two grandkids were asleep which was unusual. The knob on the stove looked like it was off but because it was broke it didnt turn off the gas completely. If I hadnt come home when I did it could have been very serious. I am ready to call whoever I have to to get this problem resolved. This is a problem that could be deadly. These knobs should have been recalled a long time ago especially after reading the amount of complaints about this very thing. I look forward to your response.

We purchased our LGLFXS30766503 refrigerator less than 2 years ago. At the time it was the middle of July, all refrigerators were out of stock, and this model could get to us the quickest. It was not our first choice. We have had it repaired now 3 times in the past 8 months, all for the same cooling problem. The last repair they completely rebuilt the cooling system. It has been less than two weeks and it is now not cooling again. I have spent countless hours of my time, thousands of dollars to replace groceries, all for a $2,500.00 refrigerator we did not want in the first place! I have not received reimbursement for said groceries, which is part of my warranty. I do not have confidence in the abilities of LG staff or technicians. At this point I will accept nothing less than a brand new unit. I refuse to think, with todays technology a high end appliance should perform this way. Our previous Kenmore refrigerator needed zero repairs ever, and we had it for 20 years! I am extremely frustrated to say the least. I will never buy another LG appliance, and I will tell everyone I know my experience. Lifes NOT Good!

After 2 years $1200 washer drum literally fell apart by the main nut coming off. LG has a lifetime warranty on the drum but they will not honor their warranty. You have to spend a minimum of $200 for LG to fix it. The repairman said its common with LG washers and they are only instructed to tighten the nut as hard as they can. Well, I have a 2009 Kenmore refrigerator built by LG. We have had several service calls this past year. Ice Maker, compressor, freezer fan twice. Today I was told it cannot be repaired. The reason it cant get fixed is because it leaks. The location of the leak comes from the side panel. When the refrigerator was built they use blown in expandable insulation. The tech that did that work in the factory did not do it right. I think the factory is in Korea. No fix for this problem except to buy a new refrigerator. I will never buy a product made by LG. I think some Kenmore products are made by LG. We just bought a new dishwasher. I will purchase made in the USA products from now on. I hope this helps other consumers.

I purchased this door-in-door refrigerator October 2017, for my new home, at Home Depot. The store was my salvation in trying to get service for this unit as the right french door was 1 higher than the left, and the cooling fan made a high pitch whining noise whenever it kicked on. Sounds easy right? NOT! LG Service Center is a call center of sorts with questionnaires they read from, despite being told of the exact issue. 15 min later still nowhere. Called HD and they got the same result. After several different LG phone #s, Sue in Appliances at Cicero HD, succeeded in reaching the LG local service center and entered a claim for me. They were to call back with appt. I ended up calling them the next day, found out they are a computer repair center, and contacted HD to return this very expensive refrigerator. Thank you HD for all that you do and I will purchase anything but LG for the replacement.

I purchased the LG Dishwasher LSDS4821ST on Nov 30, 2008. I have only used it 3 times since 2008. The dishwasher left too much water in the machine after drying the dishes. The dishes also were not clean nor were they dry. I did call for service during the warranty period only to be told that the left over water is normal, and that the dishes were air dried with a new lg system. The few times that I used the washer I had to clean the excess water at the bottom of the inside of the machine. The dishes were also wet. The last straw was when the dish soap dispenser would not open. That was in 2013, and I have not used it since. The LG customer service gives you the run-around. I have an LG washer and dryer with plenty of problems. Do not buy LG anything, not even a phone.

Ive been trying for a month to get service on my dishwasher. Although the 1 year warranty is gone, the board is warrantied for 5 years. First time I called LG they gave me 2 phone numbers for 3rd party service in my area. I called them several times and never got a call back. I set out to look for my own 3rd party service and contact Sears because they advertise that theyll fix any appliance whether you purchased it from them or not. The repairman showed up this morning and told me that Id have to call LG to get approval from them to have Sears be the 3rd party vendor. The service fee would be $99. That was OK with me.I called LG and was told that they had a local LG authorized service in my city. I got transferred and spoke with them. I was told that they would schedule a repair if I paid $125 up front and then the charge me for the installation of the part (which was free). That would have amounted to over 30% of the total original cost of the machine. I have no idea what to do now. I was able to submit an email to service to see if I get a better answer. Regarding other reviews about how dishes stack inside the washer, I have to agree. I always had issues with glasses breaking because they fell over. I change the way I put them in. The thing I liked about the dishwasher was the short Turbo cycle. It was 58 minutes and did a good job. If you buy an LG Dishwasher be sure to purchase the extended warranty.

I had a high regard for LG prior to this experience. Indeed, we have many LG items in our home. Now, our refrigerator has failed with a known fault and is not yet being fixed. We had a service appointment today which they cancelled. Rescheduled for 3 weeks later. That will be a month with no refrigerator. We bought what we thought was a high end refrigerator and it has worked great for a short time, but then just quit cooling. LG has been less than exemplary on fixing it. This is a very bad move, company wise. I now have a totally negative impression of LG and any of their products. I will NEVER buy another LG product. I just dont trust them anymore. We have to wait a full month without a refrigerator to find out if our refrigerator will even be fixed. Last LG item of any kind I will ever buy.

I bought an LG front loading washing machine in October 2011. I also bought an LG bottom freezer french doors refrigerator in October 2011, while doing a house renovation. Refrigerator Model is LFC20760SW. When washing machine broke in June I was told it was not worth fixing. In Feb I came home from vacation and the food in refrigerator was spoiled. The lights dont even work. I checked breaker. The vacuum works in the electrical receptacle so it not the power. Also at least 4 of the plastic pieces have broken off. Both sides of the slider in the deep freezer broke. The door storage broke. Some other pieces have broken off. I will never buy an LG again. Cant get a LG repair person either. Sears is coming over maybe.

I have put up with this, clean clothes that stink, for 2 or 3 years now! I am a fanatic about fresh smelling clothes, and clean clothes. When my older kids were in school, they received compliments about how clean and fresh their clothes smelled. Now I take the clothes out of the dryer and throw them in the re wash pile. Not only do they smell dirty, they smell musty! I am throwing money away on energy to rewash, which is senseless since the musty smell is still there! I use Tide laundry detergent, I use liquid Downy, and I use two scented Bounce sheets, sometimes with the Bounce bar in the dryer, as well, to no avail! The only time there is no smell is when I wash with bleach. Obviously I cant wash all my clothes in bleach. The drum doesnt smell. I dont leave them sitting in the washer, but they come out of the dryer, which is also Lg, a lovely matching set. The drum doesnt smell either. How can I explain this smell? My new Adidas jogging pants, for example, for some reason, the crotch has this musty smell, and now, guess what, my underwear now have the smell? How embarrassing is that?! I used to complain about my old, used top loader washer and dream of a front loader washer and a matching dryer. Now I just wish I had my old set back. My dream turned into a nightmare! Theres not much Im fussy about, but my laundry I am, and Im sorry, Im pissed!

I bought a LG Over the oven Microwave about two years ago. It just suddenly died on me after gentle use. I went to heat up a small meal and realized the thing was totally dead. It did not show the time, the inside light was not on - nothing. I checked my house power outlet to make sure it was ok and it was. So, it was the microwave that was not working. I will never buy another LG product. And I will also tell everyone not to buy their products.

Our LG refrigerator is only 18 months old and has broken down three times.
Our LG refrigerator is only 18 months old and has broken down three times. The first time, LG repaired within the first year. Second time occurred three weeks ago. The warranty company contracted a local appliance repair company to come out. They came out and diagnosed the issue, then said they needed to order a new compressor and should take three to five days. On day three, I call the company to find out status of compressor. They indicate it had not yet arrived. I call every day after that for another week and could not get anyone to answer the phone. My wife and I are both professionals and do not have time to deal with a fridge company. On day eleven or so, I file a complaint on Better Business Bureau website. Less than twenty minutes later, I get a call. Company comes out to install the new compressor a day later. Repair guy says it is fixed and leaves. Later that day, I again noticed the fridge was not working. Fridge is still broken!!! Now another lost work day and more time on the phone and internet wasting my time dealing with a terrible LG Product! There has to be legal recourse with so many complaints. I bet the majority of us have the same model. LG needs to be held accountable for selling a $2500 piece of junk!

The ice maker/water dispenser has never worked properly. It was replaced during the warranty stage. Now theres a crack in it where the water fills up before going into the trays inside. Water is constantly leaking out the dispenser. The ice maker freezes up and to get it out to unclog it, you have to yank really hard since its frozen in place by the water that leaks out. The door is being ruined due to the constant water leak. Also, the plastic veggie/meat drawers are both cracked. Really thin edges on them. Just yesterday, the plastic cover on the edge of the shelf came off and wont stay on anymore.

Refrigerator and freezer intermittently warm up (not defrosting!). Refrigerator compartment goes to 60 degrees and freezer to 40 degrees (contents thaw and melt). Refrigerator less than three years old! Called LG (plan to be on hold forever!!). Had to pay upfront for service contract as some of my system components are still under warranty (would not schedule my appointment until credit card cleared). $362 upfront for one service call. Cheapest plan available. Authorized service dealer that was sent showed up two hours late to a four hour service window (waited 3/4 of day for technician to show). Technician never got a tool out, didnt measure a temperature, didnt remove a panel, never looked behind refrigerator. Unable to diagnose a problem. Worst service experience I have ever had! Called LG again (did I mention to plan on being on hold forever!). Explained my service experience and asked for a supervisor to help me. Said supervisor would call in next three days; no one called. Called back asked for supervisor to please call me. They promised a call in two days; no one called!!! Called a 4th time and spoke to an LG consumer affairs person. They were no help. Told me to call original service technician. I then cancelled my repair contact less a $100 diagnostic fee. Strongly advise NEVER buy an LG refrigerator. They are unreliable and their technical support is horrible if you have a problem.

I purchased the Model#WT4870C*W LG White Top Load Washing Machine 12/20/13, purchase price $599. And because my husband and I traveled for 18 months this machine got less than average use. This is the worst machine I have ever owned, reasons are as follows, does not clean clothes, the clothes come out dirtier than when they went in and yes I wash my tub with tub cleaner very often. Does not use enough water to cover the clothes and even when I use extra rinse. Clothes come out with soap and dog hair all over them. The top of the tub on the rim stays filthy. I get cleaner clothes from old laundromat machines. Sometimes clothes come out still dry in spots. How can this be. I believe LG should return everyones money and get out of the business. Same goes for their TVs. I will go back to agitator style from Maytag if I can find one. Very disgusted with this purchase, a waste of my money, I will never buy LG, again...

Heard good things about it from sales, however once I bought it and actually used it, I realize that the cost of this item was much higher than others and I could have been happier with a less expensive model. But I like the side by side which was easier to get what I needed, like the choice of colors offered too. I chose black. Not too much more I liked, the shelves were arranged with adequate space for big items like milk and juice. The freezer space is too small in width and limited in space for large items, the ice dispenser should have choice on type of ice and ice maker freezes too fast. Hard to find filters for it, ice maker broke and couldnt get a replacement. Will not buy again.

We bought an LG Refrigerator back in 2013 and had problems with it closing properly, since day one. Over time my produce would not stay as fresh, so about a month ago we had it professionally moved to our garage for a backup fridge (to keep drinks cold). Due to it being a much warmer setting it caused my unit to have to work in overdrive to keep it cool. In return causing it to overheat and it stopped cooling the fridge and freezer causing everything in the freezer to spoil. I paid $90 for a technician to come out and he diagnosed it with a bad sealed system (which let me had that the sealed system was a terrible concept). LG said they will warranty the part but I am responsible for the $1,000 labor :( I will never again purchase an LG product for the reason. Poorly made and do not back up their poorly made products!!!

LG Front Loader Washer Model: WM3170CW. Purchased this washer from Lowes. After the first wash, the inside seal was giving off a smell. So paranoid about this, I made sure to wipe the inside door glass, seal after every wash. This unit leaves water in the soap tray after every wash, so I take out the tray and drain it and allow that to dry. I also have to get down and open the door with the drain tube. I drain out all the water that is - I guess - still inside the washer?! A lot of water comes out. This washer is a major pain. After continuing to do ALL of this after every use - my washer smells horribly musty and moldy. Totally unacceptable. I have put cleaning tablets in it - and even run bleach through it on the clean cycle. Still smells. This washer is a lemon. Do not purchase it. I deserve a new washer - but a different model! I expected this to be a good washer - being an LG. They used to have a good reputation. I paid $750.00 for this washer.

We purchased our first and last LG appliance and 30 days after the one year
We purchased our first and last LG appliance and 30 days after the one year warranty had expired the fridge and freezer totally broke down. The unit was just over a year old, brand new. Well I called LG and because it was over the year they said for a tech to come out to my house would cost a lot of money and only the compressor would be covered and I would have to pay for the tech to come to the house. I contacted Direct Energy and they sent a tech with their program they have. I lost over $1,000 worth of food. I was without a fridge freezer for over 21 days.LG is very selective about their parts who they give them to, but to wait 21 days with 2 small kids and no fridge freezer its crazy. Well finally everything was fixed for 30 days and the fridge freezer broke down again and the ice maker ice melted all over the floor. Once again called a tech, I had just restocked my fridge and freezer again and lost everything. Apparently the rule bet membrane around the freezer is loose, the ice maker has to be replaced and the fridge stopped working. The unit I purchased from LG was over $3,800.00. What a wasted of money LG products are. Do not waste your money or time. We will see if it ever gets fixed.

We had bought an LG television which was our first LG purchase. Then I was at Lowe’s one day and needed a new refrigerator. We ended up purchasing the LG French door refrigerator in a little over four years ago and I loved it. It was everything I expected until the compressor went out. It took four weeks to get it fixed which was a long time. There are two ice makers. One in the door and one in the bottom drawer. We noticed that it wasn’t making ice. At first, it was still cold, but over a couple of days it stopped keeping things frozen. A couple of days after that, nothing was cold in the refrigerator.I called the number that’s inside the refrigerator and they wanted to know the details of when I purchased it and did I have proof of purchase. I’m not sure how that worked between LG and the people that came out but they had to contact a rep and she said, “We don’t have a rep in your area.” Someone else called me and scheduled. They said it would be a week. Then I called back and they said they had to reschedule because they didn’t have an LG repairman in Alabama. They were gonna have to get a certified LG repairman to come and fix it. They had me describe what the unit did. They were able to determine that it was probably the compressor and they sent the parts. About two weeks after we got the part, the LG repairman came from Georgia and fixed the refrigerator. I haven’t had any issues with it since the gentleman fixed it but I probably wouldn’t buy any LG refrigerator again.

We purchased our matching washer dryer combo from Sears as part of our remodel on our bathroom when our prior set died for the 10th time in 6 years. However had I known that $20-$70 repairs would amount to less than the headaches I would now be dealing with, I would have kept those workhorses any day of the week. Not only does our washer smell like everyone elses no matter what remedy we try, but it leaks, and leaks, and LEAKS! Weve had it serviced 3 times in the last 6 mos. trying to replace things that were wrong from the motor to hoses to outlets and now find out theres lawsuits because of these issues. Because of cutting corners and faulty mechanisms I have to do more laundry, which causes more leaks, which causes more laundry, crazy cyclic cycle. When are we the consumers going to say ENOUGH and when is anyone going to have our backs to compensate and make this right for us? Im tired of paying and paying and paying while these companies continue to manufacture GARBAGE!!! My washer still leaks after dumping thousands of dollars down the drain! Thanks LG!!! I’m writing this review so that hopefully other consumers won’t make the same mistake I made by buying this LG refrigerator. I bought this refrigerator on 5/6/13 at Famous Tate in Brandon, Fl, and paid $2545 for it—my very first “modern”, expensive fridge. This is Model # LF X 319455T/02 (stainless steel French Door). I’ve had nothing but trouble with it since the beginning, and after reading all these reviews, I can see that I am clearly not the only one.The food has gone bad periodically over the last 5 years, resulting in my having to throw stuff out quite often. I confess that I actually ate food that I probably shouldn’t have, and for someone with an autoimmune condition who MUST have fresh fruits and vegetables to survive, this is completely unacceptable. There had been water accumulating in the refrigerator for a long time, and a few months ago there was water all over the left hand side of the bottom shelf as well as all over the floor. I immediately called LG to discuss the problem, and rather than pay them in advance for one of their techs to come here, I paid a technician from Mr. Appliance to come here. He may not have been an authorized LG technician, but he was highly trained and extremely knowledgeable about these LG french door refrigerators. By the way, most repair technicians in my area refuse to even work on LG appliances. That should tell you something!!The guy (Ron) who came to my house determined that the automatic ice maker was causing the problem, and he literally showed me how this one defective part always malfunctions in these models. He further explained that eventually the compressor will probably go out. The replacement part has a heater built into it that supposedly will prevent this problem from occurring, but between parts and labor, it would cost me over $500. That day he enlightened me about a lot of things, and after doing extensive research, I found out that everything he told me that day was true. For instance, I found out that LG has known about this manufacturer’s defect for years, and yet continues to manufacture new models with the same defective part. Sounds very shady and evil to me. Nevertheless, I was going to agree to the repair whether Ron did it or LG (for a slight discount), but then decided against investing more money into this piece of crap.Instead, I bought new water and fresh air filters, and tried to remember to empty the ice container periodically. I should mention that I have NEVER personally used the water dispenser or the ice maker, but I thought it would be nice to have it for any guests who occasionally come over. That being said, for the last few months, the fridge seemed to work ok—not great, but ok. Then the last few weeks there was more water accumulating inside food containers. I just wiped them out, threw more rotten food out, and just put up with it. There’s also a strange discoloration on the touchscreen panel as well as a stainless steel finish looking like it’s peeling off. Clearly very cheaply made. It’s interesting that they charge a premium price for a cheaply made product. Don’t get me started on the faulty design which has its own set of problems. So, on Monday night (7/30/18) or technically Tuesday 12:30 am (8/31/18), the fridge started making an extremely loud noise. There was water everywhere and everything in the freezer had defrosted. I immediately called LG (they do answer the phone 24/7), and was instructed to turn off the breaker to the fridge. I did that, and at least that stopped the noise. I also dumped out the ice container in order to prevent matters getting worse. The representative told me that according to the schedule, a service tech. most likely would be able to come out Friday and for me to call back at 8:00 am to confirm. Obviously I’d have to pay $125 in advance plus pay the service tech for any additional labor. I explained to her that I now have to clean up the huge mess, try to salvage what food I can, and that I’m very ill, 80 lbs and need to be properly nourished to stay alive.I asked her how I’m expected to live without a refrigerator for 4-5 days and probably much longer after ordering parts and having the tech come back to complete the repair. She had absolutely no response for me. I did call back later that morning, paid $125, and scheduled the tech. to come to my house on Friday. Meanwhile I drove to the convenience store in the middle of the night, bought 4 bags of ice and went home to start the cleanup process. I worked all night long using the wet vac, taking everything out of the fridge and freezer, throwing lots of stuff away, and putting whatever food I thought worth saving into coolers with ice. I thoroughly dried the inside of the fridge and freezer, and then proceeded to clean and sterilize. Needless to say, I never slept having worked tirelessly throughout the night. Needless to say I was utterly exhausted.Due to the dire emergency I was in, I sent messages to 7 people on Craigslist and Next Door desperate to get a fridge delivered to me ASAP. The LG repair tech (Sonny) called me later that day and instructed me to turn the fridge back on, and said that he could come here on Saturday-not Friday. Fortunately, that horrible noise never came back on, so that at least was a relief. He proceeded to explain to me that from what I told him, it sounds like a very complex problem, and that his labor would be very intensive, and it could cost me over $1,000 between parts and labor regardless of the compressor being covered under the 10 year warranty. He honestly didn’t think it was worth fixing, and suggested I buy another fridge. We’ve talked several times in the last few days, and he has reiterated that I need to purchase another fridge ASAP. He clearly didn’t want to come here and told me to call LG and cancel the appt.I’ve also been on the phone with LG multiple times in the last 4 days for hours complaining about the situation to no avail. LG representatives in the Philippines are very nice, but there’s a huge communication problem, and it’s beyond frustrating trying to get my point across. I kept getting put on hold, transferred to various individuals, and no one seemed to understand a word I said. All of this massive stress compounded by 4 days of virtually no sleep has comprised my health even more. This entire ordeal has been an absolute nightmare, and I’m outraged that someone can very casually say “Oh well, just go buy another fridge” after I spent over $2500 on what I thought (confirmed by the sales guy) would be a state of the art refrigerator that would last for years. Boy did that turn out to be wrong. I agree with what the rest of you said about LG.I will NEVER buy another LG appliance, and advise everyone else to avoid this brand like the plague. Not surprisingly, I’ve found my brand new LG front loader to be quite frustrating. What a joke “LG Life’s Good”. Life is anything but good when you have an LG appliance. More like a nightmare. I deserve to be compensated for all the food I’ve lost and continue to lose as well as the toll this has taken on my health. Not to mention countless hours on the phone with LG and the hours it has taken me to write this complaint. The abhorrent way in which LG manufactures their products and provides service is nothing short of unconscionable, and I really hope we can all get appropriately compensated for what we’ve had to endure.

I purchased a top of the line LG stainless washer and dryer a few years ago and both appliances are poor quality. I would not recommend LG to anyone. It has been a frustrating experience, as they are malfunctioning more than they are working! Last year, I waited for months just to get the right parts and then they break down again. My washer is continuously leaking in various places. Service technicians have told me I would be better off with a Kenmore! Very disheartening after spending so much money because you feel you are buying quality. This is surely not the case!

This was the biggest mistake buying the LG LFX 2578ST. After only 6 months the compressor conked out. LG has left us waiting for a replacement compressor on order that will take 2 or 3 days at which point the repair person would be sent out. I have always bought Miele and Bosch appliances but because we had space limitations the LG was perfect, looked good and had all the features we needed. The fridge I replaced was 12 years old and we never had a problem with it. LG has been less than helpful and really left us stranded with no fridge. I have no confidence in their product and customer service has been disappointing. They are not solution focused, have no intention of replacing the fridge and state they will cover only $250 in perishables in a lifetime. I would not recommend this product, have found the entire experience frustrating. This is a company that does not stand behind their product nor do they practice the art of great customer service.

I called for service when I realized my freezer/refrigerator was failing and instead of having service immediately available which could have saved my perishables, it took over a week to get repairs. The repairs consisted of an inspection, ordering of parts and finally the actual repair. Meanwhile, hundreds of dollars worth of food all had to be thrown away. The loss of food compensation based on the size of my refrigerator (24.5 cu ft) was $150. Ridiculous. One health supplement alone was $40, not to mention the custom (and very expensive) food I was storing for my dog who is slowly dying from kidney disease. This was my second LG refrigerator and it will, unfortunately be my last. The bottom line is, forget the ratings on the bells and whistles for a new refrigerator—check out how long a refrigerator actually lasted and *then* make an informed decision.

Beware of LG front loader washing machine WD13020D, especially for Australian users. The plastic wash drum which surrounds the stainless steel wash bowl is easily pierced by Australian fifty-cent piece. LG wont accept responsibility and said the hole in the plastic drum is caused by foreign body (indigenous fifty-cent piece. Natural habitat: pockets). I have heard of several instances of this happening.

I then called LG at 800-243-0000 and told them that I had just read all the complaints about the range knobs, and how upset I am to learn that LG was doing nothing about the problem. I was then told that LG has a new replacement knob that they will send me free of charge. Five new knobs. No charge. I then asked why they were not notifying their consumers. No answer. We bought an expensive $2000+ LG French door refrigerator from Pacific Sales. 16 months later refrigerator stopped cooling and freezing. LG customer service after several attempts to diagnostic and instructions to reply in the refrigerator and wait 24 hrs they finally said to call a certified LG 3rd party. They said this is a common well known defect. Compressor may be covered by LG parts, but back ordered for weeks and labor would be 700.00 and no guarantee it would last more than 1-2 yrs. Called Pacific Sales to see if they can help us resolve issue or help us good a good deal on a new refrigerator. Called twice. They said the manager would call but they never called back and were useless. Don’t back or service their sales. We gave up and bought a new refrigerator from Sears with a 5 yr warranty to be safe. Lesson —- DO NOT BUY AN LG REFRIGERATOR. There is a class action lawsuit against them. They NEED TO ACCEPT THE PROBLEM AND compensate the people that have been taken advantage of with suboptimal technology parts and service and support from all levels. So irresponsible and careless. Embarrassing. LG will eventually go out of business with that record.

I needed a dishwasher. LG had a whole set of stuff on sale and I thought it looked good. So I bought it all including the refrigerator and the washer. I also use LG phones, so I like their products. Within an hour after the service people left and delivered, I noticed a dent in the refrigerator door. We then had multiple appointments. The guy came out twice and he didn’t have what he needed. Then we had more appointments that were cancelled. Finally, I had one that they cancelled and when I called the vendor that I had been dealing with, they told me that I had to refile my claim. I then got a hold of LG directly and I found out that the vendor had ordered in a wrong door and all this time, they never returned it, so LG never sent them a replacement. So the vendor kept scheduling an install and they expected me to have the door. The vendor was not knowledgeable at all.It took about nine months to get the refrigerator done. But I love it. My favorite feature is that little extra door on it, but the shelving is not adjustable enough. I can’t get them on the height I would like them. And on the dishwasher, the settings are not made for American dishes. It’s small in the rack and certain spaces, and not as flexible as my older one was and it seems to not hold as many dishes, either.

Ive run the clean cycle using a quart of bleach and then again using a quart of vinegar. The tub never drains properly and that is what is causing the mold. This is ridiculous and is a major health issue!!! Ive reported this to Consumer Affairs as well. This thing should be replaced immediately!!!

Purchased LG Smooth Top Model LRE30463T January 2010. Since purchase clicking sound when baking and using smooth top at same time. Had service repair done under warranty and reset oven control temp. This continued and in December the large top burner stopped completely. Contacted LG and was told it was not covered under their 5 year warranty unless it was a burned out element but even at that we were responsible for service call and labor. Contacted a service rep and was checked and told it was the main board. LG website was down so he contacted us today to inform us that total cost would be almost $500.00. We paid over $1000 for this stove in 2010. 3 years of problems and nothing we can do but junk it, buy a new stove or continue to use with 3 burners. LG is junk. Value is worthless. Never again. Will go back to Whirlpool.

We bought the above LG washer new at Best Buy on 3/16/14 along with an extended warranty. It wasnt delivered until 3/29/14. We ran it for ~2 weeks when on 4/13/14 it began spraying water all over our floor from the bottom right of the machine. I immediately called Best Buy about a return. Their policy is only 15 days. They count that 15 days from the date of purchase, not delivery. (Let that be a warning). So we only had the washer in our house and running for a few days before the return period ended. They would not honor a return and told us we had to go through LG. From there it got much, much worse. Have some patience to read the rest of this and you will get the true feel for LGs Customer Service. Pray you never have a problem. You can see in the attached transcripts that the repairman that came out basically saw a non-fixable problem and tried to the LG to condemn the unit. LG wouldnt do it as they saw it as repairable. Our repairman said all other companies he deals with would take the repairmans recommendation and replace the unit. He warned us that LG is different and that they would fight tooth and nail to not have to exchange the unit. Afterwards, I contacted LG customer service on the phone and was placed on infinite hold two times. I finally resorted to the chat room option. Read the transcript to get their idea of customer service. We had been without a washer for 2 weeks at that point and LG did absolutely nothing to help. No replacement, no loaner, no stipend towards a Laundromat, coupon, or even an apology. What we got was we have 30 days to fix it per our warranty and it sounds inconvenient for you. There was zero attempt at trying to appease us as customers. The 2nd round of parts came in, and sure enough as our repairman said, they didnt solve the problem. It was now 4/29 and we are livid to still be without a working washer after spending over $800. He provided them copies of our receipts and LG stated they would start processing an RA (return authorization review). We were told we would hear from LG in a day or so. A few days went by, I tried calling LG again. No response. Emailed. No response. Finally, managed to get hold of a Customer service manager. They told me they had 3 days to process an RA. I told her it had now been over a week. She didnt know what to say. She also stated they didnt have copies of our receipts. They did, but I resent them again. Now go to the next email string.Today, my wife called again. LG said they didnt process anything because they didnt have the receipts. I had to provide them a THIRD TIME. We were then told it will take 3 working days or more to process the return through Best Buy and about another week to 10 working days before they will arrange for a replacement unit. That does not count time for delivery. They still dont care and wont help in any way. So we are looking at being without a washer for about 1-1/2 months or more. We are still scrambling to get laundry done. I will be looking to get the photos taken by our repairman showing the gap in the machine and post them once received.Consequences? My wife has been traveling 20 miles each way to her mothers house ~2-3 times per week to do laundry. A few times she has gone to a local neighbors house. I have had to leave work early and take personal time to travel 30 miles (45 minutes) on 3 occasions so far to deal with the service calls. Hours spent on the phone and the Internet trying to reach resolution. Inconvenience. Frustration. Strained relationships with relatives. A mess on our floor that I had to clean up. About 1-1/2 months without a washer after spending $800 on what was sold to me as a supposed functional unit.

After more than 6 non-productive service calls to my pristine LG washer, which was shutting down as a result or a false error code, I sent the following to the head of LG in the US and copied the conglomerates CEO. Nearly two months later, we have not had the courtesy of a reply from this unresponsive, arrogant, incompetent and corrupt company.I am writing directly to you in order to allow LG Electronics the opportunity to rectify a situation involving a washing machine, which has been deemed unrepairable by both an LG-certified repair service company and by your customer service organization, which refuses to offer equitable assistance in resolving the problem. Please note the washing machine is in good condition, not significantly worn, functions very well half of the time, and then shuts down showing a false error message. In brief, the machine in question produces an error code and stops mid-cycle. After more than six service calls, replacement of several parts including the same parts multiple times, and numerous calls to the LG help desk, your authorized service technician declared the machine unrepairable and looked to LG for further guidance or, in the absence of guidance, an offer from LG to replace the machine since it is not repairable and well within what should be its useful life span. LG has refused because the machine, purchased in 2005, is out of warranty.Mr. Cho, understand we are not seeking a free repair. We fully expect to pay for a repair on a machine that while out of warranty is still well within its useful life cycle. However LG has failed to produce an appliance which, when inexplicably logically shuts down, can be repaired by LG authorized service. As a result, we are forced to replace the appliance very prematurely. If you will not replace the appliance, then we request that you provide instruction on how a technician may bypass the board that is producing the erroneous fault code that is shutting down the machine mid-cycle. These good faith solutions are only reasonable. In addition, and as a consequence of LGs failure to produce a machine which can be repaired, we have incurred expenses for sending laundry out to be done. While at this time we are not seeking reimbursement from you for these costs, which are now well over $1,000, we will not hesitate to include them in any legal action which we are forced to take against LG should LG refuse to act in good faith and choose to ignore our reasonable request. Such action may include, but not be limited to, commencement of a consumer fraud action against LG under M.GL 93 A, which provides for treble damages and attorneys fees.Interestingly, from a non-exhaustive online search, we have learned that LG routinely refuses assistance to consumers with out-of-warranty machines, which are still within their useful life but cannot be repaired, because LG maintains the appliances are not intended to last. We therefore believe it would not be a difficult task to win class action status for any action taken against LG for intentional defects in its laundry appliances. In addition we will not hesitate to refer this case to the attorney general of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.Mr. Cho, you should know that I was an early and loud proponent of your products and installed them in the laundry rooms of three estates and on my yacht as well. I did this despite the warnings of others that LG was merely the new incarnation of a Korean brand known for shoddy products, Goldstar and Lucky Goldstar. Now, it appears, your detractors were right and LG is interested only in volume sales and not in customer satisfaction or customer loyalty.Mr. Cho, I do hope we can resolve this problem amicably and without legal action or publicity. However, please do not underestimate my resolve. As the founder and former CEO of a multibillion-dollar company, I well understand the difference between good faith effort and fraud. I am hopeful this situation is the former and not the latter. I am a consumer of means and I will not hesitate to pursue my claims against LG. I look forward to hearing back from you.

We bought all brand new top of line LG appliances...refrigerator alone well over 2,000.00 in Fall 2017. Loved the new appliances but in Fall 2019 a compressor went out in the refrigerator. Yes, LG covered the replacement and repair but what they don’t want to tell you is the refrigerator will never run quiet again. We have had to call the tech back three times to come look at it because it runs so loud. We bought the product because it was super quiet and our kitchen is close to our family room and bedroom. It will wake you up at night. It runs with vibrating noises, humming, etc and LG’s fix is sending an email with acceptable refrigerator noises. What a joke.I told them if it would have ran like this when I originally purchased it would have been taken back in the first 30 days. The tech comes and states it’s a little louder than normal but not a single thing is being done. The tech calling LG while he was here was a joke too...all they could say to do is take off some clips to see if vibrating stopped...guess what?!?! It didn’t and it is still loud as ever. LG HE takes less time to dry clothes. Uses less hot water. I like the front-loading washer and dryer better than top-loading ones. They were somewhat on the expensive side, but worth it. LG has an innovative motor that will last longer because theres less motion involved. I like the pedestals as well. Ive had absolutely NO problems with either the washer or the dryer, and no missing socks! Mine are full-size side-by-side units. Be aware that the LG front end load washing machines model WM0642HW only last 5-7 years compared with top load washers 10-15 years. My wife & I made a major error by purchasing our first front end load washer that broke after 5 years. Previously for the past 30 years we have had 2 Maytag top loaders (15 years each). Specifically, the horizontal pressure on the wash tank bearings results in the failure of the bearings and the rotor assembly. These are parts that total nearly $100.00. However, the service requires at least 3-4 hours of repair, which is nearly $500.00. In summary, never purchase a LG front end load washer.

My refrigerator is 6 months old. The Ice Maker at 2 months old started to produce metal/oil tasting ice. Water coming from the dispenser tastes fine, so obviously, somewhere in the Ice Maker unit, its getting tainted.Basically, after 6 months (still under warranty) they refuse to send anyone to fix the stupid thing unless I agree to pay for the tech out of my own pocket because he found nothing wrong with the fridge despite he agreed the ice tastes like metal. I should have sent the entire unit back when I had it the first week and had to call for service... that issue was someone at the factory didnt plug in the compressor power cable. Hello, after several weeks of looking at refrigerators, my wife and I purch
Hello, after several weeks of looking at refrigerators, my wife and I purchased a new LG refrigerator in December, 2017. This past weekend it stopped cooling. Due to COVID19 the customer service department at LG has reduced hours. I contacted them on Monday morning at 8am and filed a warranty repair. I was told that “someone” would contact me in 24 to 48 hours. I was contacted by an approved service repair company the same day. The repair contractor offered to come out on Thursday. I didn’t find that acceptable when faced with over $1,000.00 of food that would be wasted. So I called LG back and the supervisor gave me 3 other names that I could call. I was able to reach two of them. Both were able to schedule me today!I called LG back to learn that if I wanted a different “approved” service provider to fix it that it would require a letter of authorization from them and that would take 2 to 4 days to issue! What? So my wife went out on a mission to find a suitable freezer that I could purchase to put in our garage. No luck! Due to COVID19 food hoarders the earliest I could get one delivered was possibly Thursday! Again, no solution.By 4pm I was faced with emptying out my refrigerator or scheduling another repair company. So I decided to schedule one on my own. They are coming today. I called LG back this morning and asked to speak to a manager. I spoke to a lady in the “executive” team. She told me that 4 days to get a repair technician wasn’t “that” long and because I was taking matters into my own hands, it would void the warranty! What??? I am voiding my warranty by getting one of their approved service providers to fix my refrigerator faster than they could get it scheduled? Not only did I find one but both of the providers I called were faster than the one assigned. And, because I circumvented their system, I lose my warranty? Nobody informed me till this morning that taking the matter into my own hands for resolution would void my warranty.None of this makes any sense. We spent over $4,000.00 on this refrigerator for it to go out within 2.5 years. Dealing with customer service has been a horrible experience. I cannot believe that obtaining service from an authorized service company would void my warranty. I can’t believe that when I found one that could come quicker than 4 days, LG wasn’t appreciative and simply move my order. Instead, they penalized me. There is nothing right, easy or customer oriented about the process I have experienced. It’s downright wrong.

Microwave is 2 years old and the mag tube, diode and cap have failed. Over $250 for repair. This microwave has had limited use. Only warming and reheating. I was told that microwave ovens are now disposable. If it was on the counter, I would throw it away but since is mounted, it would cost more to replace it. I will never buy LG again. Model lmh2016st/01.

I purchased brand new appliances in 2016 with them being delivered in spurts due to back orders. The dishwasher Model LDT9965bd was delivered on January 30, 2016 and not installed for a few weeks later. These are top of the line LG projects in black ice. I noticed the finish deterioration on the left side on 2/7/17 so I contacted ABC Warehouse on 2/7/17 and my salesman referred me to their LG customer service. I call the next morning and they refer me to LG directly because they say the warranty was up on January 30, 2017. I did not purchase an extended warranty on this item like I did my fridge and stove. Upon sending my photos she asks me how I clean it. I dont use product on the item and only wipe with a damp dish towel on top where the buttons are. To be honest the dishwasher does not need that much cleaning on the outside (sounds accusatory to me). She proceeds to tell me to call service repair and provided me a local number that I have not called as it will be a cost to me for them to come out. The finish on my black ice dishwater is coming off around the handle on both sides and I have only had it installed since late February 2016. I told her to forget it that I would take this up with my sales rep. At this point I would not recommend LG products if this does not get addressed at no charge. THIS IS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT. I will not stop until this is fixed at their expense since I spent $1,000 on this item. I thought I was buying quality.Updated on 11/29/2017: Here we go again with the same issue Im going to complain about again. The black ice finish is coming off near the left handle of the dishwasher as I noticed last night. The skin was replaced last year on 2/11/17 and its now almost 10 months later and its happening again. I will again, make some calls to get someone out to replace this at their expense on this expensive item. By the way, I agree with a lot of the complaints about the LG dishwashers. They do not clean well and I hate everything about the inside. Tines to thin, dishes fall over, not cleaned well etc... I miss my old stuff and it was not even broken. I had purchased all new since I had to replace my fridge. The saga will continue.

We purchased this refrigerator less than 3 years ago at our local Home Depo
We purchased this refrigerator less than 3 years ago at our local Home Depot store. We decided to upgrade our kitchen and splurge a little on a reputable, high end brand fridge - LG. After 6 months of owning this fridge, we have had nothing but issues. We have had it repaired at least 6 times. The main issues being: (1) it not staying cool/cold, making it inoperable and spoiling all of our food contents; (2) water leakage; and (3) ice not working. The first item has been the most common, the most frustrating and the most costly to us. We just recently went food shopping and the very next day, our fridge decided to stop being cold. All food is spoiling again. You could imagine the money that is lost and the predicament it puts our family of six children in. We are not picky people. If its a simple fix, we would gladly take care of it ourselves as to not burden anyone else. The repair service keeps fixing the same things and replacing similar/same parts. I must say I would not recommend an LG product to anyone and I would never purchase an LG ever again. They are pieces of junk, in our opinion. Another complaint about how cheaply made these things are, the side shelves and the middle sliding shelves keep falling off as they are poorly made and poorly designed. A total piece of junk. Very disappointed in this product. Very deceiving as it looks great sitting there in the store all nice and shiny, but internally its crap. To be perfectly honest, next time were just going to go with an inexpensive brand and if we get 3 years out of it before it breaks down, great, then well toss it. But I wont feel so bad because I wont be splurging money like I did on an overpriced piece of junk like LG.

We recently purchased an LG washing machine, model WT1001CW. Overall, we are pleased with its design and function. It is very quiet (despite what some say about excessive noise), and for the most part it cleans okay. However, today, my wife put in some heavily soiled clothes, after an afternoon of working in her garden. These clothes were definitely dirty, but no different from clothes that we had washed dozens of times before in our previously-owned Kenmore agitator washer. Surprise! The claims we had read about that said the new impeller-type washer just didnt clean all that well are TRUE! As I write this, my wife is running the same clothes through a wash cycle for the THIRD TIME. This may not necessarily be an LG problem, but a problem with the basic concept of impeller washers. I will NEVER buy one again (unless that is all that I can buy). Sometimes new is not better.

LG refrigerator model LSFD2591ST - Purchased in November of 2013 for $4,500
LG refrigerator model LSFD2591ST - Purchased in November of 2013 for $4,500.00. Motherboard failed February 2015. We lost all of our item in both the freezer and the fridge. Absolutely no help from LG as they instructed us that the 12 month warranty had expired. We had the board replaced. Restocked our freezer and fridge only to have the compressor fail two days later. Again lost everything that we had. We went the rest of the month living out of coolers. Today 7-17-15 I get a call from my wife that the fridge is not cooling again! 5 months! Really! I called LG directly and they have instructed me that they will cover the compressor as it is still under warranty but the labor is my responsibility. I will NEVER buy another single thing from LG. JUNK... JUNK... JUNK!

I like the ice machine, water machine, double doors, Auto cooling, auto temperature, but it wasnt that special. It could have been better to me. The temperature never worked. It would get hot randomly. It would leave water. It would get really cold one day then hot the next. It was cheap and lasted only a few years. It would last longer the warranty was bettering dont like it. I wasnt a fan after the first year and it didnt have a for what Im paying for it. I could get a better fridge. It wasnt the best and I should have put out more money to get a better one. It was pretty low and to me it could have been higher and it could have been up to standards and to me it was not and some reason it didnt last more than 45 years and to me thats pretty low for your fridge raider. But it has a great warranty for the last at least 10-15 years. I didnt think it would crash so soon but it did. I should have put more time and effort let alone money into the fridge that I was purchasing.

Purchased This $2600.00 LG LFXS30766S Refrigerator from Home Depot. Right side door will not seal properly. Thank God I purchased the extended warranty (So I Thought). Had a technician out and his answer was this is normal with LG. Called LG direct (that was a joke, they read a script off to me). They had me jump on one leg and rub my head and basically ask me if that fixed the problem. I was advised to call Home Depot again which advised me to call customer service again. Im done with both of them. Im selling this piece of junk and buy a $800.00 basic refrigerator like I had.

I bought an LG stove @ Home Depot on November 2009. I could write a book to describe the delivery and write a full chapter dedicated to the balanced decision of the person that sold me the defective door on the fridge. Three years, and no problem with the stove, then about 7 months ago I started to have problems with the control panel… F1 appeared but because the building has been undergoing changes, I did not bother to say anything. An electrician confirmed that it had nothing to do with the malfunction. About 2 months ago, as the upgrading of the building had come to a completion, I spoke to LG and for 2 months, I have been lied to and deceived by the executives of this company - very ethical indeed. They want to give me a prorated $700.00 for me to buy another stove. Today, I find out, that the reason why they don’t want to come over to fix my stove, the reason is that this model LSB5682SW/01 was made in Canada and this model is now discontinued. In other words... (TOO BAD, TOO BAD… Revelation chapter 18) for me. That is while I was speaking to a representative. He assured me that the unit was “unrepairable”. I then asked him what F1 means. He said it meant “AN OVEN ISSUE”. Another Executive told my sister “that there is now a SAFETY issue” with the stove. What I mean is that they have conjured up for themselves a code of silence and mutated the truth. It is difficult when there is so much silence for so long - this makes it more unbearable. Now they want me to buy another LG stove. What they should do is refund me the money or fix the control panel - neither of these they want to oversee. Why are there not more videos uploaded to YouTube on this CURSED practice?? I CAN’T BELIEVE THIS WAS MADE IN CANADA.

I bought 2!!!! stacked washer and dryers. It came with no parts to change it from shipping to useable! I have been waiting weeks and weeks for LG to send me the parts. My machines are just sitting here. The co. I bought it from and LG are blaming each other and no one will just send the parts. The LG book says DO NOT USE if you dont have these parts. But they wont send them or pick them up and let me get a set that has the parts. I have been on hold with customer service of LG for 2+ hours 3 times and they say they will send them and then dont! This is the biggest joke. I am stuck with two machines that dont work. NEVER PURCHASE LG unless you are good with a product that just sits there because once you pay not their issue.

0 stars ! We have had the LG front loading washer for several years and have tried all tricks to get rid of the moldy smell, like leaving the door open when not in use, to no avail. The repair man suggested we run a bleach load first to help kill the smell prior to doing the other loads, or just run it empty with bleach prior to using it. We bought it for its efficiency, not to waste energy! We have reached the end of our rope with this washer and feel it is irresponsible to even give it away due to the health concerns.
