We believed LGs advertisements and trusted that they would stand behind their product. The expensive French Door Refrigerator/Freezer (LFCS31626S) has given us nothing but trouble. LG has sent repair technicians several times who have gone so far as to replace the control board (twice) and the compressor complete with solder smoke wafting through our air during a 2-4 hour repair job. Still, in spite of being set at 36 degrees F, the temperature cycles from 45 degrees F to an unsafe 60 degrees F. The last technician who worked on the thing told us that he did all he could, and, within a week, we had the same problem all over again (we called that technician for help but he no longer answered our calls). Meanwhile, weve lost tons of food and have to shuffle things into a standing freezer for salvage. This has been going on for about a year. Rather than do the right thing and replace the unit with a new, good one, LG now wants us to break COVID-19 isolation for yet another failed repair attempt. Most recently, we were handed over the Executive Team where a member picked-up and held the phone line open for over 2 hrs before hanging up without once responding to our repeated pleas that he/she speak. We are beyond frustrated. In fact, we are feeling betrayed. Please help!

I have very very bad experience with LG Refrigerators since from last 3 months compressor broke 2 times and gas pipe leak issue, once lost my food 3 times and made my wood flooring spoiled with the water leakage. They are not willing to replace my food loss or neither replace my fridge with new one. I keep calling customer care and they are denying both of my requests. I am thinking of approaching consumer court now. This is totally not acceptable for new refrigerator of 3 years old. Thanks.

WARNING!!!! I was cleaning out my refrigerator and cleaning the glass shelves. I washed the large glass shelf after it had sat on my counter for about 15-20 minutes. I used lukewarm water and soap. After washing it it, I was drying it with a paper towel and it EXPLODED! YES literally EXPLODED not just broke. Glass everywhere! I had glass in my hall way, Glass on my cook top, glass on my espresso machine, Shards embedded in my kitchen window frame. Luckily I had my glasses on because I had shards in my glasses! Could have been my eyes! Glass shards in my lip, my arm and in my hair. My sinks were filled with it and I even had it in my Island sink and Under my Island! I asked my neighbor to help me get it out of my hair and the tiny fragments off my face. I reported it to LG and they did not seem real concerned but asked me to send them photos. Sent photos of my cuts and my glasses and the huge mess this caused. LG called and said Id have to get a technician to come. Id have to pay for it but may qualify for reimbursement of tech fee. Unbelievable. Im still in shock and now scared to death to ever clean it again. This is very dangerous!

I bought an LG 2.0 Microwave from Home Deposit. After only 3 months it started making horrible noises each time the glass turntable rotated. I called LG customer service. I was told to submit my invoice by PDF and would receive a refund check. That info was received. Two weeks later a different LG customer service employee wanted me to sign a waiver before they could issue a check. They also wanted photos of the metal serial number even though they were verbally given to them the first time. BTW: They don’t repair microwaves, but supposedly and eventually cut you a check for another LG microwave upon proof of purchase. Of course they never explained that initially as their rules change with every contact. I told the CS rep. after the fourth call to me (forget about trying to contact them) that I use a microwave every day and can’t wait weeks or months for them to reimburse me.Besides, why would I want to buy the same LG microwave again. I got another brand of microwave the day after the defective one. This is exactly where they want you. You are skeptical of LG microwaves, you bought another brand, so basically you will never be reimbursed for their defective product. This type of deception should result in a class action lawsuit. I believe that stealing $130 is a felony. They didn’t assign any order number to this case, but I have all their correspondence and screenshots of their acceptance of my submitted receipt.

My first unit came with a manufacturing defect where the housing unit inside the fridge housing. The styrofoam kept coming apart and wouldnt stay put. LG and Lowes recommended that I just exchange it for a new product. Besides that one manufacturing defect, the unit worked fine; it was quiet and efficient. Now, after a week the second and replacement unit was delivered. Oh boy, LG has some major issues they need to fix. First, the unit comes without one shelf on the freezer side. This was remedied by them saying they would send one out to us. Second, this fridge is much louder than the first unit we received. It makes a constant humming noise, which is quiet and we wouldnt have thought much of it, but we had experiences with our first defective unit to compare it to. Heres the kicker though. Occasionally, the fridge will start rattling. Its not too abhorrent, but when we open the fridge, the shelves will make a vibrating noise that gets amplified. I contacted LG support again to ask how to remedy this because we werent sure if it was a leveling issue or something else. The agent that I was connected to just tells me to unplug it and plug it back in, and adds that if it isnt resolved we would need service for a fridge that we had just received. To top it all off, the serial number matches a fridge that was made in April 2020. How terrible does your quality control procedure have to be for this to happen? Im 0/2 in receiving a brand new perfect product. I went with LG because people said they improved (partially because of my Korean bias), but man stay away. Currently debating if I should ask Lowes to replace the unit or if I should go with a completely different refrigerator. Terrible. Just terrible.

I bought my LG refrigerator five years ago around 2013. Within two years the compressor failed. LG replaced it and paid for labor and parts. Now 2018 compressor fails again. LG sends me the parts and says it’s up to me to get it fixed but the compressor is under a 10 year warranty for parts not labor. Problem is nobody wants to touch it. I’ve continually asked LG for help and they refuse. Worst customer service and refrigerator I’ve ever bought. Cost was over $2500.

We purchased the LG TOMM Washer & Dryer, and the Washer Seal around the door has always smelled moldy and puttered. After numerous complaints we were asked if we ran an empty cycle with Fresh Product or bleach to alleviate the problem. My comment was and is twofold, first why would anyone purchase a energy saving product and need to run an extra load every third or fourth load to clean the machine which is suppose to clean our cloths? Where is the savings with that? Secondly why is everyone having this problem and the Foreign Manufacturer doing nothing? Besides maybe someone in this country still builds a quality product domestically! We are willing to pay the price to support good design engineering and American Built Products. No stars due this product.

Purchased a WM2801HLA Direct Drive front load washer & matching gas dry
Purchased a WM2801HLA Direct Drive front load washer & matching gas dryer (new) in April of 2010. In the 7 years of ownership, the LG Washer has had 2 drain pump failures, 1 circuit control board failure, and a Spider Arm assembly failure (due to preventable corrosion). The 1st drain pump failed under extended 5-year warranty, as did the circuit control board. Everything else has failed on my dime and my time. The failed spider arm also took out the Balance Assembly Ring by tilting the tub, thus making contact with a fixed component and rubbing a hole in the liquid filled assembly ring - which drained the ring, rendering it noisy as a tank & useless. Our machine started making some warning sounds in the spring of 2017... Which I thought were the bearings. Being as the seal & bearings are a regular fail point, I ordered seals and bearings and pulled the machine apart. Turns out it was the Spider Arm assembly which had corroded to the point that only 1 of the 3 arms was still intact holding the drum to the support assembly. The bearing seal and bearings were still fine (although replacing the seal when you are in there is a MINIMUM to prevent future bearing failure).Just for good measure, the 2nd circuit board is now also behaving in a similar manner as the 1st one did on its way out (you cannot power up the machine without unplugging it - wait 30 seconds - and plugging it back in). This circuit board problem comes and goes, but it is not uncommon for the LG brand (do a YouTube search for LG washers failing to power up). The Spider Arm failure was due solely to using an unpainted aluminum part (spider arm), bolting it to a dissimilar metal (stainless steel drum) and exposing it to both electrolyte (soapy water, baking soda) and acids (vinegar, bleach, cleansing tablets, etc). Shiny piece of crap is how I would describe this LG washing machine. In the 15 years since Front Loaders became fashion statements, I am not aware of a single Front Load manufacturer that has corrected this spider arm fail point (its a guaranteed certainty it will fail with any sort of regular use) by either painting it in enamel, making it out of stainless steel, or abandoning the stainless steel tub for an enamel coated one. Its clear to me that this is a purpose-driven engineered failure of the washing machine. I was able to fix the machine myself (and new bearings/seals for good measure... As youre already in there) but most people cannot. Even so, it was $400 with bearings, seals, balance ring, spider arm, and enamel paint for the new spider arm to prevent corrosion thereof. When the spider arm fails, it is generally the death knell for the machine. To hire someone to fix is usually in the neighborhood of $800 (and several days to get parts/fix). Thats right around the price point of a new washer... And therein lies the motivation to junk a 6 to 8-year-old washer. Compare that to my 1996 Maytag Dependable care top load washer and gas dryer. 13 years of ZERO problems, and probably still going strong at my former house (left as part of the house sale). These front loaders could last just as long by making the terminal failures less frequent. I.E. Eliminate the Spider arm corrosion. Use higher grade bearings. Use a higher grade bearing seal. I will accept the circuit board failure, as its easy to replace. Although, there should be no need for that either if the circuits are rated for automotive use (high vibration).Ditto the drain pump failure (its downright delicate looking) but its $50 and I can change it rather quickly. Unfortunately, given that all the manufacturers are using price as the lowest common denominator, its unlikely that any single manufacturer will step up their game. If manufacturers build a better machine, theyll have to raise the price as turnover falls.A couple of takeaways Ive learned: Dont stack your washer/dryer - It makes them a nightmare to service (and these new machines demand servicing). Front load washers are crap. I believe you can eliminate the spider arm by going back to a top loader. Become handy - You need to be able to diagnose, disassemble, & repair these crappy products yourself to extend the life thereof.

The power button on the washer will not turn on, you have to unplug it then plug it back in after 2 minutes, it will then run one cycle. Called the 1-888 number for Canada helpline to run a diagnostic test with the phone tones using the washer. I honestly believe this is a trick to get you to call and have them try to sell you more warranty. They were no help whatsoever, the information on YouTube is much better and in the end, I ordered the part and repaired it myself for 1/4 the cost. There should have not been any costs for a 2-year old washing machine used by a family of 4! Dont BUY LG WASHERS.

When we remodeled our house, we redid our kitchen, and my wife picked out the refrigerator. We also got everything matching. So, that was why we went with them. LG is a well-known brand, and the unit we got was on sale and it was about the size we needed. Also, it is quieter than what we had. We have had our refrigerator for two years now and it was good, but the compressor went out on it. So, we had to have warranty work done on it. It works good now. The serviceman who came was good, too.

They sent out a repair person to put a new light fixture and switches in. They did get the light to work, however, they tried to patch over the cracks with some type of glue. It looks like a 5-year old tried to do it. Im not happy at all with the results. I had the repairman out twice but it still looks horrible. We bought an LG refrigerator 3 years ago. It stopped cooling. The repairman said that LG would provide a compressor but would not pay for labor, which could be from $600-$1100. He suggested that we cut our losses and purchase a different brand. Neither LG nor Lowes, where we purchased the refrigerator, were concerned that we lost a refrigerator full of food and had paid a lot of money for a product that was now worthless. Lowes corporation is aware of the problems with LG but continue to sell them. When I expressed my frustration, a Lowes employee said we should have bought their warranty.

I chose based on appearance and most importantly, price/Efficiency. My choice was based of entirely what I saw in the store and reviews written online. It kept my food cold, it worked, thats all I can ask of a fridge. But make them better at removing moisture or more energy efficient. Or perhaps make the walls of the freezer thinner so that theres more room in them (although I know thatd be difficult to do).

We purchased our refrigerator in August 2016. In February 2019 it stopped freezing and cooling. I called LG and the customer service (800 243 0000) and was scheduled for a service call the following morning. Based on the description of the problem the customer service rep advised there would be no charge for the service call or repair. (She didnt advise why, I didnt ask because I was thrilled after reading the other horror stories on this site.) The technician, Bryan ** called me about 15 minutes after the call to confirm our appointment the following morning and ask me about the problem so that he could ensure he had what he needed on the truck to make the repair. The next morning Bryan called when he was on his way to my house. (Within the time window that was scheduled. Another thing that doesnt happen that often that people actually show up in the time frame they are supposed to.) He began working at 10AM and finished by just after 11AM. He would courteous and very competent in making the repair. It turned out to be a failed/faulty compressor which was replaced with a new one. I already loved the fridge, I am extremely pleased with the customer care by all three LG employees I worked with in this transaction. Thanks!!!

My fridge stopped cooling the night before Thanksgiving. It is still running and the light come on...but not cooling...food lost! I called our Home warranty. Technician to come out, he was there within 3 hours because they consider problems with a refrigerator and emergency. He said it is a compressor leak and there is no Freon left in the appliance. Due to this, he cannot fix so I needed to call LG because it should be under warranty.I called LG first thing in the morning on Friday after Thanksgiving, and they said that they would notify a repair tech to call us and schedule a time to fix the appliance if it was fixable. Monday still no word from them. I called LG back and they said none of the repair shops around me had accepted the order so they would move me to to an escalation group to get scheduled who would call me in 3-5 days...still I have no fridge. I did now get an email saying that they scheduled a consultation with a technician for next Friday...this is where they will come and see what is wrong with my fridge so they can order parts. I explained to them after waiting on hold for 25 minutes...I have notes from a technician that you can use to fix my fridge when they come. They will not do that. Once they order parts, those will take a week or longer to get to my house, then you have to reschedule the tech... This is ridiculous! I am going to be out a refrigerator for a MONTH! And this is an appliance I spent $2200 only 2.75 years ago. The customer service was no help and frankly not that empathetic to the fact that we are a large family and had no fridge over Thanksgiving, let alone now. Very disappointed! This is unacceptable!

Just before my top loading “smart drum” washer was off warranty it kept saying UE (uneven) and refused to spin...even after setting it on spin only. It would constantly set more time and refill with water and not fully spin. We are on a well and water use was a concern! I called LG and they contacted the authorized serviceman who came out a couple of days later. He replaced the motherboard and said all was good. That lasted less than 2 weeks before it was doing the same thing again. Called the repairman myself this time and he spoke to LG. Turns out my washer was a lemon and I actually got a new one on warranty. That was great UNTIL the new one started doing it too at about the same age as the original one started it. The new washer didn’t come with any warranty either so I’m stuck with it.LG top loading washers are a total piece of crap and it frustrates me to no end, wastes our well water and power, and I spend all day sometimes just trying to get 1 load of wash done! Too many times have I had to put dripping clothes into the dryer because I can’t get the washer to spin them out! If I had the money I would buy a new washer...but not an LG!

I bought an LG washer at Best Buy in 07. After less than 2 years, the gears went in the front load. I purchased an extended warranty through Best Buy and they had a service tech come out and diagnose it. They said it would be too much to fix so they replaced it. I was downgraded but I was just happy to have my washer back. That was September 09. I bought another extended warranty through Best Buy. Now, another 2 years later, it has stopped spinning and wont drain. I contacted Best Buy and they told me that my warranty expired in September 2011. They told me to contact the manufacturer. So I called LG and they said that they will not do anything. I then emailed LG to tell them that I was unhappy and I believe if you pay over a thousand dollars for a washer it should last for more than two years. They then emailed me back and told me again that there was nothing they could do about it and thanks for choosing LG and be blessed. That made me furious . The state of Maine has a 4-year implied warranty through the manufacturer. Dont buy anything LG . They dont stand behind their product.

Well, Im thoroughly disappointed with my Tromm washer and dryer. The latest failure was the last straw. I have now officially paid more for repairs than I paid for the appliances, and they have been banished to the garage, and hopefully Ill find a buyer, but the word must be out about LG, because Ive had no takers. The washer never has cleaned well, and took forever to do that. The technician said to get a top-load domestic brand, so I went to Lowes and purchased the largest top loader with a spindle that GE makes.Im through with LG, and the repairman said Samsung is no better. So, I guess you could say Im through with Korean products. Thank you very much Korea. Isnt it hysterical that the pendulum has finally swung back towards American products being more reliable and well-built? The way it used to be when I was growing up. Heres the really ironic part. When I bought the Tromm, I sold a Kenmore Series 80 pair to a friend for $100.00. She is still using them and has never had to have a repair. I want them back! We purchased an LG French door fridge at a major retailer, with just the one day to do research (because, our old one had died and wed already lost a couple hundred dollars in perishable food and had kids to feed). The linear compressor promised to be quiet, efficient, and durable - the literature boasts that an officially proven 20-year-durable lifespan realizes your peace-of-mind.At first, it was great - because it was new. Just ten months in, however, we began having problems as the fridge developed a clicking sound when the fan (compressor?) kicked on, and then a couple weeks later got an error code on the panel and the fridge stopped cooling. We lost another fridge full of groceries, and called LG for repair. It was well under warranty, being just one year old.The technician they dispatched called us before showing up, and told us this is a common problem - and that we have to defrost our frost-less new fridge when we hear that clicking because it means ice is building up inside on the fan. OK... So we did that, and the fridge began working again (this is in May/June 2016). Then, like clockwork yearly, we would hear the clicking and do the overnight defrost (2017, and 2018).So again it began clicking again in early July 2019, and we got ready to do the same thing - except instead, the fridge just quit working entirely on July 9th 2019 while we were at work and we came home to a flooded kitchen (from the melted ice) and once again, had to toss a fridge full of perishable foods (second time with this fridge). We unplugged it and left it overnight to defrost, as before, and plugged it back in on the 10th (empty). Left it for the day while at work, and when we came home the inside of the fridge was over 70*, clearly not cooling, but no errors on the panel, so I called LG for service on July 11th. This begins the worst customer service experience I have ever had with any manufacturer.July 11th: talked to condescending service rep who eventually agreed that we needed a service call. Scheduled it for July 16th (earliest available), and gave me a confirmation number which I read back. I arranged to take a half-day off work to be home for the 8-12 hour window. He says that luckily Im still within the 5-year warranty; I tell him my paperwork says it is 7 years warranty. He updates my account... Then assures me that the parts are covered under the warranty and I will only have to pay the labor for the service call.July 16th: at 11am, I called LG to check the ETA of the tech so I could update my office on when I would be in. Was told that my tech had just finished a call in a town 15 minutes from me, and that I was next on his list. At 12:15 still no tech, so I called back --- and was told that my service was completed. Spent quite a bit of time on the phone to learn that the confirmation number I was given was for someone else, and that I had no service call scheduled after all. I was quite angry, as Id stayed home for this and had been without a fridge for a week already. The person I spoke to said she was in the escalation department and she promised to call me within an hour with a resolution to get my fridge fixed, that her supervisors assured her it would be done that day.At 1:40 I called back (because, surprise - no call from LG and no tech) even angrier because I was no closer to a working fridge AND now Id lost a full day of work without pay. Im not allowed to talk to the same person I spoke to at 12:15, because she is helping other customers... Am told there is no way they can fix my fridge today but they will dispatch my call to an authorized service repair center, who would schedule a new service date. An hour later I get a call from said service repair center ---- who informed me that they dont service my area because they are in a different STATE. Yep, that last LG rep sent to the wrong repair center. So I call LG again (4th time this day), and this time Im told that I have to wait for the system to call me to schedule something, but that would be either today or tomorrow. Its 3:30 at this point. The rep cant help any further. Next day, by 4pm, still no call so I phone LG again. This rep tells me it can take 3-5 days for the system to call me to schedule something.... Each time I call, Im given a different scenario, none of which are getting my fridge fixed. The next day (July 18th), I get an email cancelling my appointment - which I havent been able to make so I dont know what this is for. July 19th: I call again because still nothing and its been ten days since my fridge broke. This rep is able to schedule a service call (what happened to the system??), and we set it for July 24th, next available day.July 23rd: given the absurd hassle Ive had to deal with to get this fridge fixed, I call in to confirm my appointment for the next day because I cant lose yet another day from work and have no tech show up. Am told parts were ordered on the 19th (which parts? the ones that always break, that fancy compressor that is supposed to be so great and durable but only lasted four years). This time the rep tells me that they have extended a courtesy warranty to cover the labor in addition to the parts, and that they received a couple of complaints. I have talked to 8 different LG customer service reps by this time, expressing many complaints from me on this whole fiasco, especially against that first rep who didnt bother to schedule a tech at all and cost me a days wages. The rep also said a grocery reimbursement would be sent in a couple of weeks for the inconvenience. This is the first Ive heard about this option.July 24th: my fridge is finally fixed, with a new compressor. The tech did not charge us for the visit, so at least that part LG honored. Fifteen days to get the fridge fixed, replacing a part that was the big selling point, four years and two months after we bought it. We lost tons of perishable food from the fridge and freezer (it holds a lot!), and two full days of work without pay. For two weeks weve had to eat out/eat convenience food because a picnic cooler just doesnt work that well to hold perishable foods that long, and its the middle of summer; it is an expensive way to eat! Now we wait for whatever grocery reimbursement they deem sufficient to compensate us, and count the days until the fridge breaks again, hoping it is still under warranty when it does. I dont trust this fridge at all. But we paid $3k for it, and cant afford to replace it yet. The environmental impact of manufacturers building appliances that fail after just a few years has got to be enormous and I wish there were lemon law type of things we consumers could count on for better durability.

Both this product and customer service were awful. Bought fridge brand new, and the Ice machine never worked. Customer service sent two different technicians with over 5 different parts plus a new fridge door, in a span of five service calls and could not fix the problem. After the hassle of trying to get a replacement, they denied it to me and are just reimbursing me the money, not taking into consideration that I paid on a credit card, accumulated interest AND had paid extra for installment. Both this product and LG were of very poor quality. NEVER using their services or products again.

I purchased an LG dryer, model # DELGX7188WM, a few years ago. Recently, I noticed it smoking and quickly unplugged it. After calling LG, their response was they could schedule a repair call but I was responsible for all costs. I replied that I am perfectly capable of scheduling a repair appointment. I found LG to be of no help and I will never purchase another of their products and highly recommend anyone considering any of their products to consider the lack of product and customer support LG provides.

Purchased this new LG LFX31925ST for $3500 from BestBuy July 2013 and now 14 months later the freezer and fridge compartments are warm and the unit sounds like a garbage disposal. Called BestBuy. They said they have no Geek Squad service in my area 15 mile from both Bestbuy locations in my upstate NY location. So contacted LG customer service several times to get a repair for this unit. Unplugged the Refrigerator for 12 hours, plug back in and it was quiet and cooling till 10 hours later when the noise is back but seems to be still cooling. Did a bunch of troubleshooting over the phone with no definitive solution. Called back this morning to LG to explain to them the current situation and requested a service call. Mentioned to them that the service center listed on their repair website did not return any of my 3 phone calls yesterday. So they gave me another service center that they were going to electronically dispatch. This was several hours ago now and no contact from them. Dont buy LG Appliances!

Purchased this unit in Feb. 2011. Eight months later the ice maker quit. LG replaced it. 6 months later it failed again, this time on me. Two months later water supply to ice maker froze and pushed the water line out of the back of the unit, wet floor, ruined ceiling and wall in basement. 4 months later, water solenoid failed in the open position, filled the freezer with water, large block of ice and ruined food. Two weeks ago noticed the freezer was frosting up bad. Found that the freezer fan was not working. Ordered new motor. Upon returning from work this evening the refrigerator was 62 degrees, more ruined food. Called LG, said they had other complaints of the same. Offered to schedule a repairman for me. I think I need a Lemon Crusher.

I bought this LG 5-Burner Gas Stove about 4 years ago. The actual stove works great! But, unfortunately, LG really messed up when they designed the plastic knobs. Not only are they cheap and the inside of the knob breaks, they are very dangerous. If you keep the bottom stove open while you are cooking the plastic knobs melt. Whats even worse, is the knobs cost a minimum of $25 each to replace and the knobs havent even been upgraded to metal. I have other LG products and like them but, if they dont change the knobs, I will never buy an LG stove again.

You cannot purchase the plastic insert and each knob is $63.60. Initially, my husband kept switching knobs, and now three of them are broken. Reading the other postings, I realize I am not alone in my complaint. I contacted LG service department and was told no recalls. Sounds like this is a consistent issue which LG is choosing to ignore. We bought our LG washing machine in May of 2014. It has never worked right from the beginning. I would have to watch it closely to restart it when it would go into the IE mode. I would have to press the start button twice to get it to resume washing. I had a tech come out to my house today to check it and he said the computer board needed replaced at the amount of $350.00. I told him I would rather buy a new machine instead of fixing it because it was the biggest piece of junk I have ever owned. He also said he has fixed many with the same or similar problem. Ill never buy another one.

Will NEVER, ever buy any LG product ever AGAIN. LG stands for Lousy Garbage. Bought it from Sears 2 years ago with a 5 year extended warranty. Broke down 2 years to the day from when I took delivery. There were ongoing problems with UE (Unbalanced Load) errors. Loads took 2-plus hours to run and fabric was left coated with soap. Parts required for the repair were not available and then a part was back-ordered from the manufacturer. The repair is going to be a 2 man job. Sears couldnt do anything because it was extended warranty even though the repairman showed up in a Sears truck. I demanded a replacement washer and was told only the technician can authorize it. They refused to give me contact information for the technician. Nothing but platitudes and the runaround from Customer Dis-service.Total time without a working LG washer: 5 weeks. Unacceptable. Bought a Huebsch Commercial washer. Loads are done with 2 rinses in 35 minutes. It cost extra but this thing is built like a tank. Comes with a 15 year warranty on the transmission, 5 year warranty on the motor and 3 year total warranty. LG is only 1 year. This washer will probably be good for 20-25 years.

Ive had my LG Top Load Washer 2yrs, 4 mo and couldnt be more displeased with it. As others have said, it gets out of balance nearly every load and doesnt wash anything very well. Often I have to wash a 2nd time. Today was the icing on the cake. It overflowed and flooded 3 rooms. I put it on pause and opened the lid, and it started draining water. I let it finish then turned it OFF and it went back to draining even more water in OFF. I pulled the plug and ready to send it off a cliff. NO MORE LG for me. First and last time!! I wont bother getting it fixed since I can tell that will be a waste of more money on a cruddy product.

I bought a LG front load washer, at the most, five years ago. It started making a horrible sound when it spun. My repair guy accurately referred to it as like a train. He said that the main bearing has gone out. He told me to get a Whirlpool next time. I asked him if he has seen problems with the LG washers and he said yeah, they arent lasting as long as they should. Given that I am out of work and also cannot get to a laundromat, purchasing a washing machine is not something I look forward to doing. RUST at the metal lips where the detergents are poured. I noticed some rust under the plastic cover where the detergent is poured and decided to take out the four screws and check where the plastic meets the metal. IT WAS ALL RUSTED. The instruction manual does not require that the four screws be taken out for cleaning. The manual requires cleaning of the plastic area so that the dispensers work well, which we did. I reported this to LG with the pictures that I am sharing. They asked me if I use corrosive materials like bleach. Of course we do and the dispenser has a location where to apply the bleach. This unit is not heavily used (3 people), well cleaned and maintained (I am an engineer). It is no longer under warranty and LG said that it is cosmetic. I disagree because pieces of the rust are getting into our laundry as the washer vibrates. Check out the photos and decide.

Ill come back and replace it, so like I said before everything looks nice although this guy is honest so far. He came back ten days later. I wasnt in home. My wife let him do the job. He spend 15min to replace the pump. Wow this guy is awesome. Finished fast and good worked supported. In the following days we know if something is wrong with the machine, softener stays doesnt go away. We call LG again. They said if a tech come to our house again we will pay for it, I totally refused to pay anything if we still have our warranty. Anyways they send another guy from APEX APPLIANCE SERVICE, GUESS WHAT HAPPEN NEXT. This second tech find out the LG guy never replace the water pump and LG tech DAVID ** sabotage our machine cutting the wires. LG 7600 top loader does not have the capacity to really get clothes clean. As it drains it leaves a scum which gets left on clothes. In my 45 years I have never had such a poor performing machine. My husbands jeans were dirty and mucky from working out doors. I ran it on the best setting I could find. I took them out and put them in the dryer. There was so much sand and dirt in the filter and the bottom of the dryer. I knew the washer had not even came close to getting them clean. Because it has no agitator, the clothes are only bathed in water so really dirty ones dont come clean. Oh how I wish I had my money back on this machine.

Noticed a burn spot on the inside of my LG Microwave oven about 2 weeks ago. Tried to wipe it clean to no avail. Took a closer look at the spot which is growing larger with each use. Now it seems to be burning away at the material. The microwave has been noisier at start up than usual but thought nothing of it so it may or may not be related to the problem at hand. Contacted LG customer service and their rep told me to stop using the microwave as it could catch on fire, but what was occurring with the microwave would not harm the food being cooked. Thats a small comfort. Requested recall information, but alas there is no recall issued by LG for this problem yet the potential for fire is great. Wheres the logic in that? Hasnt LG heard of Tort law? LG contacted the local repair shop to fix the issue at their expense. Parts and labor paid for by LG. Purchased this microwave in 2008. I have used and owned various microwaves in my lifetime and have never had anything like this happen before. Yes, I keep the interior clean and grease free. Needless to say if this is unrepairable and must buy another microwave it will not be an LG.

You seen $3k on a product and you would like to think that the degenerates that sell the thing might have an ounce of human decency in them but they dont. DONT EVER BUY AN LG PRODUCT!!! They want your money, they couldnt care less about you.I have this piece of ** refrigerator and the ice maker always (in literal terms: 9 days out of 10) freezes up and you have to pull out the ice maker, stab the chute with a knife to break up the ice cluster and it spreads the ice cubes all over the kitchen because it takes force to get it out. You have to cut in the tiny gap between the pull-out device and the door to sever the ice dam, then pull... to the point where you think the plastic will break... the ice maker out. It explodes in a shower of ice cubes that fling all over your kitchen. All that water/ice is wasted, you are MORE THAN PISSED OFF constantly and you never have access to anything but floor-ice. I would never recommend any product by this manufacturer because they simply dont care. I was told...You bought it. Figure out how to use it the best in your house. Also, their water filters are ridiculously priced. I hope the manager of their support catches dick cancer and dies in front of his own mother.

LRG 3081ST gas stove - My first problem was that Best Buy never warned me that to convert this stove to propane was going to cost close to $300.00. The next problem was as soon as I started to use the product, the fan in the convection oven does not work most of the time, the controls are very difficult to use and very confusing, one of the burners does not work! After contacting Best Buy they told me I had to call LG, which I did. After many tries and disconnected calls I finally reached a person and he reluctantly set up an appointment with a local repair shop, and although she agreed the fan should work better but after calling LG they said it was normal and there was nothing she could do. Bought a LG top load washer in 2013 and I hate it. Its a constant battle with the machine flashing messages and being unbalanced and constantly refilling with water and not wanting to spin. Totally wastes tons of water which we have to pay for living with a cistern and ironically I bought it because it was supposed to use less water, what a joke. I have never had to stand and watch a washing machine until I bought this evil machine. Oh why do I have to watch it so it doesnt waste all our water when it starts flashing the unbalanced code so then I have to stop it and try to move the wet clothes around so the stupid thing will continue on. I wouldnt wish this machine on anyone even if they were my enemy, its horrible. Im going back to a top loading Kenmore with a normal agitator that actually cleans the clothes. The only positive is that I bought the LG dryer at the same time and Ive actually had no problems with that.

My LG bottom door refrigerator started having problems in June, the freezer stopped working. It took 2 months before someone would come and look at it. Then the part was no longer made. Since the part was under the 7 year warranty, they said they would replace my fridge or give us a refund. Ive called, and called, and called, each time talking to someone different, just for them to tell me to await a call in 3-4 business days. Each time I had to call them back. Now they say they are only giving me a few hundred dollars instead of a full refund! Ridiculous! I will never buy a LG product again!

My stove arrived today. As I wiped the interior oven to get ready to use it, my rag was covered with blue shards. I called the company, they could not explain it. It is being returned. Some of the shards were tiny, almost dust like. Others were larger. I cant imagine how a baked chicken or roast would not be ladened with these particles. Scary.

I can say ditto to all the other reviews! No service/repair center in Phoenix so we had to have the repair service authorized. LG said that would take 5-10 days then they authorized the wrong company even though I sent the correct info (LG admitted it was their mistake). The company had to be authorized before they could order the linear compressor. 4 weeks still waiting for the darn thing to be fixed! Never buy this POS, so much for thinking I bought the best. Sent a report to the Attorney General here, time for a class action... Im in!!! 115 degrees with no fridge!

Like the lighting; like the french doors; like the size. Have had problems with ice maker freeze up; frost build up around the door vents that feed the ice maker and most recently a complete failure of the cooling to both refrigerator and freezer compartments. Entire food contents had to be discarded. A major nuisance for a refrigerator with this price tag. Waiting for warranty repair. Will see how that goes.

I bought this washer (LG WT4870C) 11-2013 on ratings in Consumer Reports magazine. It has not lived up to the reviews given. The load is constantly off balance and the machine will continue to add water and move clothes around until I stop it. You cannot leave this washer running without constantly checking it. Clothes do not clean even after sloshing in the water for an hour. I have the original receipt, and would love to replace it. I am in the market for a new dryer, my Kenmore Elite stopped suddenly after 5 short years with numerous repair calls. My first washer and dryer, basic Maytag brand lasted 20 years. Any recommendations on a good dryer?

It is a front loader that is energy efficient. It was a reasonable price at the time compared to other washers available. I am not a fan of the upcharge for a color so we ended up with white. I also am not a huge fan of the way the water lines need to be cleaned out. If you dont leave the door wide open, it gets a funky moldy smell. I want it to be within my price range and large enough to do my familys laundry. I prefer name brands with reputations for quality and longevity. Regular repairs would make me flip. The washers are expensive enough as is that I dont need to be spending MORE money to fix it.

I had an LG washer for about three and half years. The washer stopped spinning. I called LG for the 10-year warranty and was told that a technician would come out and check the washer. I was told it would be around $100 to diagnose the problem. I told LG that the motor was slipping, it should be covered under their 10-year warranty. They said I would still have to pay a technician to come out to tell me what I already knew. I argued with them many times about the problem. I even asked them to send someone out for a courtesy call; they would not . They finally gave me the number for Parts. They found the part for the motor rotor assembly. They opened the back of the washer, undid the mounting bolt, removed the rotor, and sure enough, the rotor assembly gear was made of cheap plastic. It was strange because the new one with a metal center was stripped out. This not only should be covered by the warranty, but also, a defective product should be covered by the company. The whole job of replacing this part was about 15 minutes and $75 in parts. I have photos of the part being removed with its stripped center and the new one being installed.

The whole inside was hot. Im afraid to use it because it might catch on fire. What can be done about this? **

Another pricey LG appliance with a failed compressor at 23 months. At least a month waiting for parts. Ice maker shut off, water valve leaked after the fridge was taken by the repairman and ruined our kitchen floor, and leaked through to basement ceiling and damaged that as well... We were gone for 3 days. Add to that the food that spoiled when the compressor went toes up, and we have learned a very, very expensive lesson about LG refrigerators, and from the comments here, we are not alone. Repairman indicated ours was the 26th compressor failure he has had this year.

Customer service quality and procedures when something breaks needs to be o
Customer service quality and procedures when something breaks needs to be one of the most important considerations when choosing who to buy an appliance from these days, especially an expensive refrigerator that is not built to last despite claims that it is, but for a higher purchase price. It was important enough to me that I was willing to pay more upfront. $2800 more. Things break, design flaws happen. That is not as concerning to me as what a company does to their customers when it comes time to make it right, and how they make it right. Regardless if they have fixed their linear compressor problems, it is not worth buying LG refrigerators. Or any other product as far as I’m concerned, given what they are presently putting us through and how little they are compensating for our losses.I’ll be shocked if this doesn’t cost them dearly in customers and loyalty. It certainly has turned my 18 and 22 year old sons off after watching what we are going through since July. That’s future business right there that they screwed up. Not to mention my failing double oven, dryer, and dishwasher which need replacing soon. And where there is one there are hundreds or thousands more. That’s a lot of exponential word of mouth.LG is losing all that future business for what? To save a buck on repairs now by forcing customers to use their preferred 1-star rating repair servicer even if they repaired it once already and it failed? To avoid doing the right thing by reimbursing their customers for full damages and losses fully caused by their part failures as well as their repair failures? That choice alone about customer service reflects poorly on the business smarts of a company, which in turn affects reliability. If you ever have a warranty repair with your LG products, you are at risk of what is happening to us right now. Are you willing to gamble for that much money? We bought our LG French Door refrigerator Thanksgiving 2016 for $2800. Chose LG because of reputation, longevity claims about the model, and their description of great customer service should something go wrong. We thought it was worth the expense. The linear compressor failed after 3-1/2 years in July. We had to wait 2-1/2 weeks before their “authorized repair servicer” got here to repair it. We bought a larger mini fridge and still lost well over $300 of food. Their servicer did not call us to first diagnose or ascertain what parts might be needed. They simply showed up and assumed they only needed to swap out a compressor.LG bottlenecked their quality before they got here by only authorizing a maximum of $505 including labor, regardless that neither of them knew for sure what all needed to be checked and repaired. They set us up for failure. Their preferred provider didn’t even look for leaks in hoses that might have caused the compressor to fail to begin with, so if there was one it’s still there! They did not replace all the other covered parts that are supposed to be replaced with this repair, such as evaporators, hoses, etc. Two weeks after the repair we spent $450 on groceries believing it was safe to now restock. Two days later it broke again. My dealings with customer service since have been unacceptable. I have been patient and understanding about all the extremely long hold times given Covid, (1 hour and 17 minutes on hold this morning before the exec division picked up,) but not understanding about forcing their customers to have to retell all of the specifics of their circumstances dozens of times to each new agent that picks up, treating them like a first time caller, before anyone finally understands again how egregious the case has been handled thus far. And when they finally do they have no power to ensure it won’t continue to happen. Wash, rinse, repeat. There are too many cooks in the kitchen and all the departments that have to be involved are isolated and cut off from the other so the agents can never prevent anything from going wrong again or have influence over final decisions. There is no quality control in LG’s customer service. Their executive services group can’t directly talk to someone in the authorization department to ensure everyone is on the same page so they stop sabotaging what was agreed to. They have no true escalation capabilities and if they do they are highly ineffective. I believe this is purposeful when it comes to these refrigerators. The first agent this time around said our case was escalated since we just went through this. That didn’t mean squat in the end. It has been dealt with worse than the first time and has followed the same channels as a first time repair. He said dispatch would be calling me directly this time 3-4 days from our call to lessen the amount of time we were without our fridge again. That was August 22 and today 2-1/2 weeks later we are still without a working fridge. No one called. I had to start all over from the top when I called back. They tried to resend the same incompetent repair company as last month and ignored our request to send a different one that would approach it properly this time and give us confidence we wouldn’t be put through this again next month. It’s exhausting to pull everything out again, set up coolers and ice and check safety of food every day. Their preferred service provider in our area was going to be at least 2 more weeks out. LG blamed Covid saying it has impacted the availability of servicers in our area. The truth was LG directly prevented a timely and proper repair we had access to; it was not a problem with availability of servicers in our area, it was a problem of a company only wanting to use a one-star servicer that they can successfully under compensate, regardless that the repair company cuts corners and does inferior work to make it worth what LG pays.We asked LG why we couldn’t find our own repair company nearby who could get here sooner than 2 weeks. They told us if we could find someone sooner they would gladly email them the authorization, because they can’t find anyone else. All they can see is their authorized 1-star servicer. We had a 5-star service nearby standing in my kitchen the very next day! And they had done a lot of warranty work for LG before so we were delighted with having found them. They diagnosed the fridge thoroughly first, and in person, recognized that the compressor was not installed correctly and not all parts were properly replaced. Due to this we had oil leaking all over the place creating new repair problems. We called LG back and provided all the contact info they requested. They called our chosen repair co. that same day too and told both of us they would submit a request for authorization and they should have it in the next 24-48 hours. Our repair would be done in under three days. Instead, we got a text and email the next day that their 1-star servicer has accepted our repair request and would be there 12 days later. We called immediately and complained we had someone sooner and did not want the same company, and our case was escalated again. The executive group agent said she saw what happened, the wrong department got the request and ignored the notes in our account and on the request. She canceled their servicer and personally emailed the department directly with the info for the repair company we found, highlighting they were available immediately to do the repair and they have done warranty work for them before. Two days later we get another text/email that the 1-star company happily accepted our request again. I called LG again and the new exec agent listened to all that had happened prior and understood my rage, and told me they were having problems with the authorization department and she had no power to ensure it wouldn’t keep happening this way, but she did have the power to submit a request for a full refund. She had me upload a receipt and confirmed it was received and valid. She would send the request for an auth to our chosen servicer one more time and would call me two days later to see if they had received the authorization. If not she would go through with the refund request. Instead, I get several texts from LG’s chosen servicer all weekend long reminding us they were coming. However, in the past two weeks that servicer did not once call us to get information to determine what parts might be needed, which confirmed for us that if we let them into our home it was going to be handled sloppily like the first time they did the repair. We are sick of what we’ve had to go through living out of a mini fridge for almost two months. For a family of five with adult kids? We want to feel confident it’s done right this time. What LG did that was unethical was agree that if we could find someone sooner they would send an authorization, and then they repeatedly hosed that authorization and every subsequent request for one over the next two weeks to buy time until the A&E appointment was just around the corner. They ignored our valid concerns and discomfort of having this company do the repair again. It’s not like we chose a servicer that never did LG warranty work before. There is no excuse for putting us through this hell. Call several appliance repair companies in your area before you commit to buying anything. They know what brands and products are easiest to fix and have the least hassles with warranty repairs, and which are reliable. All the other repair companies we initially called said the same thing: “we no longer do LG repairs” and if you ask why they all tell you the same thing, “it’s because LG under-compensates true costs and undermines their efforts to do quality work. And it’s too much of a headache to deal with their customer service. It’s just not worth it given the amount of time we would have to put into dealing with them.”I wish I would have called them before choosing an LG fridge, because I never would have purchased it. But this is the real reason LG has a hard time finding an available service provider in your area. And when you find your own? They sabotage it. All to save a buck? How is two or three under compensated repairs in a row cheaper than one done right the first time at a fair price for the actual time required to do a proper job? It can only serve to hurt your customer for unnecessary and unreasonable lengths of time and kills all future business, and word of mouth compounds that. I was also told today there is no guarantee the refund will be approved. They look at how many times it’s been repaired in deciding too! The fact that they were interfering with the repairs, and they failed to let us have a timely and proper one that we had standing right there two weeks ago is not taken into account. If they deny our refund, they will simply reschedule their shoddy servicer all over again. At this point the right thing to do is approve a full refund. My husband is paid hourly and his company is about to be impacted by Covid so he will lose hours pay in the near future. We have to use our scant emergency fund to pay for a reliable refrigerator repair, about $1200-$1400 after the botched repair, or buy a new one. And not having that emergency money is going to hurt us when my husband’s hours are reduced. We cannot tolerate more weeks Iiving like this and never should have had to when we had a reliable repair company standing in our kitchen two weeks ago!To add insult to injury, LG has taken forever to approve our food loss and mini fridge reimbursement requests from July. Several reps quoted from our account that they saw the mini fridge reimbursement was officially approved on August 12 but there was no notes about the food loss. We were told this for the following two weeks every time we called. Then today, the rep said the notes showed it wasn’t approved until September. Somebody changed the notes. We were also told that we couldn’t have both a food loss reimbursement and a mini fridge reimbursement. They only allow one $250 reimbursement per calendar year, regardless if they caused you way more losses. We lost well over $500 of food so far plus paid $260+ for a mini fridge. We can’t even claim food loss this time around even though their repair failed and we properly waited a couple weeks after the repair to make sure it was good before shopping again. Customers can be out $750-$1,000 due to LG’s own mistakes, and only get reimbursed for $250 of it all while they go through hell with customer service. LG does not care about you as a customer or any impact they have had on you or the domino effect. Now, is all this worth buying their $2800 refrigerator? Absolutely not.

You would think with only 3 people in the house that a washer (WM2487HRM) would last longer than 8 years! My washers final load stopped on the rinse cycle and would not finish. I tried resetting the wash load by pressing the rinse/spin button thinking it was just a temporary problem and still would not work. Now all it does is make a loud rumbling sound. I called Customer Service and they told me that the rumbling sound was either the rotor or a bearing. This isnt the only problem Ive had with this beautiful, red W/D set. About 5 years ago the wiring in the back of the dryer started smoking. Thankfully we were home otherwise the house would have burned down. I ended up cutting the burnt wires and splicing in new wires to fix. Never again LG!!!

LG French Door refrigerator - I hope this review will provide you with enough information to stay FAR AWAY from LG. I purchased this refrigerator in May, 2013. In early September 2017 the compressor died. Until LG determined that there was NO qualified installer in the Phoenix area, they made a one time arrangement with an independent contractor to install the new compressor. Five weeks later the replacement died and we have been arguing with LG customer service to have a new compressor installed. This has been going on for about a week. Two weeks ago I had knee replacement surgery and I am to ice it quite frequently. It take a freezer to do that. My wife has to keep going to the market to buy ice for me. LG does not give a damn about anything. They will offer no compensation for food lost, we asked LG to replace the refrigerator and they just laughed it off. As of today we still do not know when this will be repaired. What a disgrace!

I have a LG LSXS26326 side by side, not even 3 years old, purchased 3/2015 from Lowes for $1600, 3 weeks ago is not cooling on either side. I called LG direct many times, always getting the runaround. I was given 2 numbers of repair services in my area. I called these numbers 2 days in a row and left messages, with no response. Every service repair company I called in my area said they are not authorized to work on LG sealed system or compressor, since they are under warranty. HomeAdvisor sent a service repair out from SC, Im in NC, 30 minutes and $75 dollars later, I was told it would cost a minimum of $500.00 in labor to fix the problem and maybe parts, since LG customer service is so hard to deal with, like I didnt already know. Repair would need to replace compressor and sealed system and blowing out lines with very expensive gas. I was told parts are still under warranty by LG Direct, but could take 7-10 days to ship out, who knows how long it would take to get them??? Ive lost hundreds in food. My repairman basically told me to go bUy a new refrigerator, he said 85% of the refrigerators they work on are LG, and recommended Whirlpool, Kitchen Aid and/or Maytag as replacements. Very upset that they do not stand behind their products and their customer service has A LOT to desire. Do not buy LG unless you have money to throw away. Im a single mom and this has cut way into our budget. $1600.00 down the drain!!! We had hopes to go on vacation this year, but thanks to LG that wont be happening, having to buy another fridge in such a short period of time, has taken that out of the budget.

Our ice maker was manufactured incorrectly and as a result we had 5 diff repairmen sent out with no solution. Our refrigerator should have been replaced but LG delayed the services and repairs putting us outside of the warranty date. Now our oven went out in less than 5 years and it has to be replaced. I went back through my LG file and remembered all of the problems with trying to get my rebates and that I had to spend more time trying to get it than it was worth. My top load washer blew up inside after using the machine for 5 years without an issue. I had registered the product and never received notice that the company had recalled the model I purchased. When I filed my recall claim LG had all my customer information, including my purchase price and old maiden name, but refused to process my recall until I could provide my own receipt. I went through days of searching and calling Home Depot and complained three times to call representatives that its unfair I have to jump through all these hoops when they already know the selling price to reimburse me for. They stated You have to reconfirm the price and prove thats what we owe you.Ive been without a washer for three weeks now and am out a hundred dollars in laundry costs. As well as $300 in lost clothes when the washing machine blew up and caught on fire inside. LG refuses to acknowledge these costs and the time Ive spent toting laundry all over. The nearest laundromat is 20 miles from my house. Simply refunding me my purchase price is a slap in the face after all Ive been through because of this machine literally blowing up and catching fire inside. My house smelled like electrical fire for almost a full two weeks.

Purchased LG French Door fridge in March 2016. Compressor went out while on vacation June 2017. Out of Warranty, we purchased extended warranty. Made a call on Monday, repairman came on Wednesday - diagnosed with compressor issues - even said we were lucky to get a year out of the fridge. He had no compressor on the truck - although its the most common problem. Friday, we contacted LG service again to get a time frame of repair. (We had company visiting from across the country.) They said they had to contact repairman. Repairman had not been able to make the report to warranty company because the line was always busy when he called. Their response was, we have to report this to our higher department. It will take 1-2 business days to get a resolution. (That meant a minimum of 3 days due to it being Friday.) Looks like we will be without a fridge for a minimum of 2 weeks... Never had an issue this frustrating.

The machine does not work good so thats a manufacture defect, not a customer issue. Anyway, they decided to send someone to look at it. The guy said, It sounds like youre doing everything right. Nothing wrong. I said, If clothes still stink, something is wrong. He said its the government because theyre trying to save the earth by using less water. Wow, so our clothes have to stink because we have a limit on water to use. This is real crazy to me. What is this world coming to take our money and dont care what we get in return? Wow! So glad I read these other complaints. I thought I was doing something terribly wrong to have my just washed clothing smell so foul. Bad product. We should get our money back, but it doesnt sound like we will. We, the consumer, who purchased this product have been pretty much robbed of our dollars. They do not back their product. We lose. It makes me very angry since we work so hard for our money.

I purchased my LG Washing Machine about 2 years ago. The UE light comes on during the rinsing cycle. It was repaired with a new part which lasted about a month and the light is back. It does not spin the water completely from the clothes. I am very frustrated each time I have to do laundry. Shame on LG for making such a poor product.

I purchased a new LG Microwave Nov, 2018. It stopped heating during the coronavirus. I went to LG who said they might be able to help, but nobody ever called or emailed. They said unplug it and plug it back in thru Facebook. I called their recommended service provider and they said it would be cheaper to just get a new one. I waited a couple of weeks, and still havent heard so we had to go buy a brand new microwave. DO NOT BUY LG. All they had to do was fix it or refund me. This is absolutely the worst time to go without a microwave and have terrible service on top of it.

The washer cannot clean clothes. It just does not do a good job cleaning clothes. In addition to the main priority of a washing machine not cleaning. It also takes several hours to Not clean the load. On account of 1 item to 10 items the washer will declare 10 times during that cycle that the load is UNEVEN.

I bought an LG electric dryer from HH Gregg in November 2013. A month after, one of the cycles stopped working. I called LG many times. They did send out 4 repair men from 2 different companies who replaced various parts, but the issue persists. After the last repair man came out and was unable to do anything, I called LG again hoping theyd replace the unit. They said the repair man determined my dryer was working to specifications and they couldnt do anything further for me. The guy was literally there for 5 minutes! Not sure how he could determine anything - if he stayed through the cycle, hed see my clothes were coming out soaking wet even though I select very dry every time.I wrote to LG Executive Service through their Facebook page and they would also do nothing for me. I called HH Gregg several times and theyve told me they filed a report with their vendor relations but thus far no one has called me back. Im so angry that I spent $900 on a dryer that does not work properly and am even angrier that an LG rep at one point told me to just use a different cycle! Will never buy LG again.

Dont buy the LG High Capacity expensive washer. It doesnt clean your clothe
Dont buy the LG High Capacity expensive washer. It doesnt clean your clothes, musty/wet dog smell. It doesnt fill with enough water to wash a hand towel. It calls for less soap, but sometimes the soap doesnt dispense all. Every load gets the UE code, uneven load and you have to open and shuffle clothes so wash time is over an hour and half. Was told by friends to pour vinegar in every load, or add bleach every time you wash, leave the lid open or mold grows in it!So I had LG rep visit and here is what I was told. Do not fill to line as specified, only 2 tablespoons of detergent, no more. You cannot wash a load too large, only a medium, fill clothes only half way. You CANNOT wash large towels, blankets or comforters in these washers. You have to add white vinegar. Leave the top open always or mold will grow. Every month you need to press tub clean and add special cleaning tablets. So basically, this efficient washer saves on water and detergent, but you have to spend your money on vinegar, cleaning tablets and dry cleaner for bulky items. Then he added this kicker: Blame the government because they have high restrictions on making washers more efficient for environment, they have to make them work bad. Apparently, the European LG washer is awesome, no restrictions. Go back to Sears, buy a Kenmore with an agitator and have clean clothes.

Last Christmas we bought an LG French Door Refrigerator. This past August it started making a noise. My husband called LG. They sent out a repairman and he said that it was not defrosting. He opened the back of the refrigerator, it had a chunk of ice which was making the noise. He replaced the computer board and stated that would fix the problem. On September 7 I noticed the freezing section was not cold. With a temperature gun my husband noted that the temperature was only 32 degrees and according to the computer setting on the refrigerator it should have been 0 degrees. From this point on our nightmare started.Another repairman come out at 8:30 Thursday the 8 in the morning and stated that it need a computer board. It was replaced a second time. At four oclock that afternoon my husband check the freezer. It only registered 32 degrees. From this point on it has been a series of phone calls to LG customer service. My husband even talked to a supervisor on Monday the 12 who stated that the last repairman sent in a recommendation that the refrigerator should be replaced. After more phone calls to LG they now says that they will fix it for a third time. We are at our wits end. We called hhgregg where we bought the refrigerator from and of course their help was minimal. If and when our problem is fixed, I will not recommend LG products to no one.

I have owned $2000.00 refrigerator for 4 months. It started making noise. Tech informs me that I own a LG made in Korea and it needs plastic fan parts replaced. I thought and was led to believe I was buying American Sears Kenmore, not a junk new word for Korean junk. This $2,000 was a sale price reduced from $3,600. Imagine how they do this junk, that’s how. Oh well, buyers beware. Read the inside and every tag on every item. I paid Lexus price for Kia quality.

I purchased an LG French door refrigerator a few years ago. Within a few months, all the plastic inside began to crack. It isnt from abuse. Its not from cleaning with harsh chemicals. Every piece of plastic in the top refrigerator is broken - those on the doors and those holding the glass shelves. The freezer drawers are held on the track with duct tape as the freezer inside is all cracked too. The egg holder is completely cracked also. Looks like dry rot. The parts that allow the drawers to pull in and out also fell apart and/or cracked. I am waiting for the plastic holding the bottom glass shelve which goes along the entire width of the fridge to finish cracking so far this one has a hairline crack.I wrote back and forth to LG who did nothing but tell me they would elevate my complaint higher - but I think they meant lower - as into the trash. It has been 4 months since I gave them my serial number to move the complaint along as they said right away. My entire refrigerator is held together with duct tape. Lucky me that duct tape comes in white now. This is a crime that this company gets away with this. There should be a class action lawsuit. I work hard for my money and this is just unacceptable.

Updated on 08/13/2020: 2nd review: LG sent out a Technician as a courtesy to repair my 3 year old refrigerator!!?? Per the technician, the previous technician last year had improperly installed the refrigerators back panel when installing the $360.00 fan. This resulted into there was no airflow due to freezing that occurred over the months. This resulted in the back lower panel melting. Also there was a burning smell in the refrigerator. The technician ordered new parts and removed the frost. Refrigerator seems to be working for now. My ice maker is even working!!! LG however refuses to discuss with me compensation for the $150 worth of melted food. I didn’t even ask for compensation due to inconvenience!!!! This experience has been a nightmare! See previous review!Original Review: I purchased a LG side by side refrigerator 7/2017. On 7/2019, I noticed my ice maker wasnt working so when opened my freezer door, I discovered that my food was melting. The fan was not blowing cold air. I called the LG manufacturer. After waiting on hold for 20 minutes, a representative answered and I explained my issue to them. They then asked me a series of questions. I was then told they would send out a Technician to my home however I would have to pay upfront the service charge of $125.00. I paid this amount and a Technician came out 2 days later. To my surprise the Technician informed me the fan had went out and it was not covered under the warranty so there would be $350.00 charge to repair. I had him repair the fan and when he finished, I asked about the warranty on the fan and was told it was covered for 90 days. Then on July 2020, again my ice maker on the door stopped working. This time when I opened the refrigerator door to my shock, the back of the freezer was frosted and the bottom panel was melted from the heat of the coil. Again everything in my freezer was melted. I called the LG office once again. Waited this time 30 minutes to talk to a representative. Explained my issue and was transferred to a repair person, while explaining my issue to him, he told me it sounded like the compressor and we were disconnected from his end. I waited and when I didnt receive a call back after 30 minutes I called back and went over my issue with a new representative. This representative informed me they would schedule a technician to come to my house. Due to my last experience in 2019, I asked them wasnt the compressor covered under their warranty. I was told it is however I would still have to pay a Service Charge of $125.00 before they could schedule this repair. I then asked would there be a fee associated with the compressor. To my shock they told me I would have to pay the labor and if my issue was the compressor, they estimated this should cost around $300.00. I asked was the 125.00 deducted from this charge and they told me no, it is a separate charge. I then told them I was not investing any more money in this 3 year old refrigerator that was promised to have a 10 year lifespan. I would be better off purchasing a new refrigerator. I have recently researched the web and I discovered my issues and experiences with LG has happen to many others.

Bought a Kenmore Elite French Door Refrigerator 795.74032.411 in July 2015
Bought a Kenmore Elite French Door Refrigerator 795.74032.411 in July 2015 and really regret that decision. Less than 30 day after the 1 year warranty expired, got an error code indicating there was a bad control board or fan. Tech replaced the fan was first and that did not fix the issue, so then control board. Reading on line reports, this was a known issue with the LG control board. So $350 later, it was working again. Then a few month later, the ice maker started icing up. Turns out that the waterline running into the door has a know issue also. So tech had to order a new door (over $500) and with labor, total cost was over $850 for that failure. About a year later, started hearing a loud noise when a fan kicked on. This turned out to be a bad fan behind the rear panel in the refrigerator section. That was a $200 dollar repair (parts and labor).Shortly after that repair, the same fan started making noise again. This time the housing around the fan had shifted because of tension being place on the housing that way it is installed, making contact with the fan blades. Tech was able to readjust the housing to not touch the fan blades. But another $100 service charge. Now the Sealed System is out. The Sealed System is under warranty, but very hard to find anyone to do the repair. Sears is coming out next week, but the warranty only covers the parts. So labor will be $99 just to get them to look at it. The tech that looked at it yesterday (another $100 charge), indicates it likely the compressor, but he was not allowed to replace parts covered by warranty. Said I had to contact a Sears or LG for warranty repairs.

Like Nate of Duarte, CA wrote on March 26, 2014 -- by end of 2006 purchased LG LFC25760ST. Had the same issue with the light fixture housing in the refrigerator compartment header, not once but twice. My photos look exactly like his. Last service they replaced the entire electronic board and installed a new light fixture housing also recommending use of lower watt (40 watt) bulbs. This occurred Aug. 2012. At the time I stated I was concerned about possible impact whatever lies above the refrigerator header (refrigerant tubes?). It appeared the plastic header was melted completely through in at least 3 locations. Now I have refrigerant smell in the refrigerator. Service call is tomorrow, so well see what happens but suspect cost to address what I believe are issues with the refrigerant system may be so exorbitant that it may be more prudent to replace after a bit over 8 years than to repair. I dont understand how this fire hazard can be so prevalent for so many years and nothing appears to have been done. If there is a class action suit, I will gladly participate, as this refrigerator is in my opinion, a fire hazard at the very least.

LG Refrigerator model number LFXS30766S/02 - Retail Cost $3,799. topped working on 6/11/2017. It was Purchased on 7/9/2015. The unit was only 23 Months old. Compressor is Defective and there seem to be another issue with it. As an Engineer, I tested the Refrigerator myself and determined Compressor has completely failed. I called LG Service department to let them know that the Compressor is bad and it needs to be replaced. The Compressor is under 10 Year warranty. I was notified that a technician needed to come out and verify this. I was given 2 options: 1. I needed to pay Approximately $345 (I do not remember the exact amount, but it was this high) to come out just to look at it and fix the issue, but this will be a one-shot deal. Or Option 2. $459 to come out and verify, Fix the issue and then have it covered again under warranty for another year.I do not understand why I need to pay these amounts for something that is covered in warranty. Especially when I am reading all over the internet that this particular Compressor, Ice trays and circuit boards are Failing at an extremely high rate. I ended up having to pay $459 to have a technician come out to say that I was correct and they needed to order a new one. Its now 3 Months later and I do not have a refrigerator. We have given up on LG. Never again. Pass the word around. Do not wait on them to do the right thing. We ended up purchasing a Kenmore Refrigerator for the family. For the cost we paid for the LG, you would expect a quality product. But it seems like LG is using the US Market as a dumping ground for their defective items.
