We purchased our LG WT7200C washing machine in June of this year, 2018 and it has been a HUGE disappointment. Without an agitator the clothes do NOT come clean. Just tried washing a King Size mattress cover two times in a row and the top half of it never got touched by any of the soapy water. When washing soiled clothing from yard work they do NOT come clean no matter what cycle is selected. This washer is a MAJOR disappointment.

I had the LG Refrigerator for little over 4 years. Replaced the compressor
I had the LG Refrigerator for little over 4 years. Replaced the compressor twice and paid $250 on both occasions. One was 2 years ago and just had my compressor replaced yesterday. The LG customer service is very unpleasant. They put me on hold over 11 minutes and hung up on me. So, I had to call in again, the rep. didnt seem like she wanted to be there and just wanted to collect a paycheck. My wife and I invested $5k in the refrigerator, washer and dryer. We will never again purchase their products. I am going back to GE.

We purchased all new kitchen appliances just over 2 yrs ago in Dec 2013. 1st the microwave was delivered dented. They came in and ordered replacement parts which were delivered dented not once, not 2x, not 3x, but 4 times. Then the fridge/freezer stopped making ice, needed a part replaced. The range/oven door glass was developing uncleanable stains in between the front of the door and the inside of the door. Then the oven door started to have a weak seal causing the top of the door to become dangerously hot. My legs were burnt a couple of times when removing items from oven. The door was replaced. The dishwasher stopped working because of a clogged hose. After calling LG for help many times! They sent a tech. And the parts and labor were covered although out of warranty. 2 days later another part went on the dishwasher and again is not working. 1 day after the microwave is not working either!!! Seriously? I cant tell you how many phone calls it has taken to get some positive response from LG. Call after call there was always a reason why they could not help me at that moment and asked that I call back. The customer service is awful! I spoke with several hours, kept me on the phone from 15 to 20 min at a time and half the time they would not even record or take notes of the call! I have missed work and sleep over this and all they can say is we are sorry for the inconvenience. They have no clue. I want these appliances gone! And replaced with another brand. Anything else would be an improvement. Stay away from LG!

Purchased an LG side-by-side refrigerator with door-in-door option (M/N LSXS26366D, S/N 709MRFP09283). The first problem is that the software function occasionally (about every nine months or so) turns off the compressor with no alarming what-so-ever. You have to watch for water on the floor and freezer items starting to thaw. You have to remove power for 15 seconds and then turn it back on to get the system operating again. Nothing in the manual about it. I had to find that out looking at on-line complaints. The final problem is the compressor died 2 years and 10 months into operation (purchased Oct 2017, now Aug 2020). No alarm for that either. Looked the same as the controller failure, but this time resetting several times didnt work. Tragically, you cannot get the door-in-door option anywhere else. Maybe with some luck I can find a repair person that can remove the LG installed Linear Compressor with something more reliable. If the controller is what died (rest of the unit works, just no cold air), then I purchased a very expensive dump decoration.

LG LMV1680ST - We bought this range hood/microwave 1 1/2 to 2 yrs ago from (I believe) Home Depot and didnt have any extended warranty, so we arent looking to have it replaced or fixed. Yes its VERY loud, its cheaply constructed of plastic and like so many others, the handle broke and the frame cracked on the top corner. We are going to get a normal range hood and bring my Panasonic Inverter (7 yrs old counter top version) up from down stairs. We just want to inform the consumer of a serious defect. Last night, my daughter made popcorn and when it was done, she pulled it out closed the door and walked away. I had the useless fan running because I was baking so she didnt hear that, when she closed the door, it was still running. Probably 10 to 15 mins later, my niece noticed flashes of light coming from the inside and smoke from underneath. My husband had to run downstairs and flip the circuit to turn it off. Not a good thing at all, when your daughter opens the door and it continues to run and doesnt trip the circuit on its own. Ive included pics but in case they dont post, the glass turntable actually started to melt, there are burn marks on the bottom, inside the microwave and the plastic turntable wheels are melted to the bottom. On the outside underneath the micro, there are also god awful burns. Its frightening to think of what would have happened if it started on its own and no one was home. I havent read all the reviews on your site, but there are many others that have had this problem and reported on other review sites. I just need to get the word out about this very DANGEROUS flaw.

I have model LSSE3026ST (LG Studio electric range). As others have reported, the stovetop turns on with the slightest bump of a knob. We have had dinner guests help in the kitchen and accidentally turn on the stove. My husband and I have accidentally turned the stove on numerous times as we reach into a cabinet or the microwave. I have to check the stove each time I leave the house because I am terrified that somebody in our house may have accidentally bumped a knob and turned the stove on. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE!!! LG refuses to acknowledge or correct the problem, despite numerous consumers having the same exact complaint. They have denied my request for a fix. I check recalls every week just expecting to find this range on the list, but not yet. I hope it doesn’t take a serious incident for this to be addressed.

New LG refrigerator new 9 months old and leaking from Ice maker. Contacted Home Depot, who referred me to LG service 800 number, very unprofessional and stated they would charge me if the problem with Ice maker was not the manufacturer fault. When I requested they put that in email or allow me to also record the call, was told they would terminate call if I recorded. This is concerning since they acknowledged they were recording call. After over 45 minutes on the call they stated they would send a service repair order to a company call Best Servicers of America. The bottom line is after late or missed appoints, and now 2 visits by repairmen telling me about the lack of quality of this LG refrigerator, still Ice maker is leaking. This 6 week process continues with LG not willing to follow up on their commitments, and the Best Services stating they are backlogged and not able to respond to LG service calls.

We purchased an LG Inverter Direct Drive dishwasher from Home Depot. Right after our warranty expired the dishwasher did not drain. A repairman came out and replaced the pump, costing us $160. In less than two months the problem is back. The repair labor was warrantied for 30 days, which has now passed. So we will again have to pay $75 just for the repairman to make a diagnosis. I have checked the hose, and kept the filter clean, though this is not something I ever had to do with any other dishwasher. LG dishwashers are very badly designed, and LG does not stand behind their products.

After our purchase of LG refrigerator, the compressor failed 15 months after purchase date. We had it replaced costing us 400.00 labor. It failed again 5 months later and it will cost another 400.00 for labor but how long will it last? After losing everything in refrigerator twice! Im not going to have it repaired. Im buying a new one. And it wont be an LG. Anything that is rebranding by LG anything that looks like an LG anything that has an L or a G in its name.

The handle on the fridge has come loose and is extremely difficult to tighten. These appliances are absolutely terrible. I would never recommend them.

The turn-off buttons for the interior light failed causing the bulb to stay on and melting the interior (plus, spoiling the food due to acrid fumes/temperature). The hot surface lights on my LG range (lde3011st) have not worked and this could be a burn hazard. I did already burn my hand once on it because I did not know that the cooktop had been used while I was outside. LG has failed to fix the problem. I only bought it in August of 2012. I also bought the service contract. Im not at all happy with LG as they will not even call me back and will not answer my emails. I also found there is an opening between the glass in the two ovens. It burned the top of my hand from condensation building up between the glass when the ovens are on and then drips down onto to your hand when you are puling item out or basting something. LG does not care. They just want your money. I will never buy another LG product again.

LG is one of the best dishwashers I’ve use, very efficient in less water, great heating system for drying, many rinses for clean dishes. Yet uses less water. The time to wash the dishes could be in a shorter time. Mine uses 2hrs 11 minutes then the dry process. I’d buy the same machine just the as I love the fact that you rarely have to rewash any dishes regardless of the food that sticks to it. Love it!!

LG gas stove LRG30355ST - I bought the stove model above in April of 2007. Fifteen months after, the middle knob broke. I called LG to ask for a replacement. I was hoping that they would accommodate my request since it was only 3 months after my stove was a year old. Well, LG was very cold and told me to purchase one which was then $75. To this day, my stove is missing a knob. One other knob is also very loose that a slight nudge will turn on the gas without turning on the flame. I have to keep checking that the knobs are all in off position. The burner caps are also an issue. After two years, they are chipping off here and there but usable. I did not bother to call LG after the cold response in 2008. This LG gas stove model is a piece of junk and the knobs are a safety hazard.

I have been looking for a new refrigerator/freezer unit for some time in anticipation in placing it in our new house. This unit fulfills all of our needs, it allows my wife to look in the freezer and look at everything at a glance instead of searching like she had to in our old one. The refrigerator portion is much more spacious and we have yet to fill it up yet. What I like is the ice and water dispenser on the outside of the unit, it is able to take my water bottles with room to spare instead of angling them in and getting ice and water all over the place.

I purchased several LG appliances. I have had nothing but trouble with them. When I call customer service they give me the runaround. The customer service agents are very difficult to understand. The agents I spoke with were from the Philippines. When I asked to speak with their supervisor, I was hung up on several times. After repeatedly trying to reach an executive customer service agent, I was transferred to someone who spoke english without an accent at all. They refused to help me with an obvious defective LG washing machine I purchased a couple years ago because I did not report the rust when I purchased the washing machine. The rust did not occur until two years of very careful use. They have refused to help in any way. I asked our appliance repairman to tell me what appliances he would never buy. NUMBER ONE on his list: LG! He says he gets more calls to repair LG appliances than all other brands combined!

Update : To their credit LG responded by sending out service technicians twice to resolve the problem, both gentlemen were very professional, timely and worked to resolve the issue. On the first visit the circulating fan motor was changed - but this unfortunately did not resolve the issue. On the second visit while disconnecting and reconnecting the wiring at the back of the oven, the problem was resolved (no parts changed). The oven works fine now and the issue is resolved.I would have given this an even higher star rating - except during the repair process it was confirmed that there really are no control board parts available for this particular oven (only newer models of it) - so if the controller board ever goes wrong I will be out of luck.

I chose LG because it had the most features I wanted and it was a good price. When I shop for appliances I take it seriously and compare several different brands for the features I want and need. It has met my expectations. It was a two door fridge with a bottom pull out freezer. It included an ice machine, variable temperatures, and different drawers inside. There was an ice machine in the freezer portion, as well as one that you were able to fill a water glass up with (in the area where water was dispensed. There was also a child safety lock. I disliked how the ice machine in the freezer part always filled up the whole freezer with ice when it was turned on. I think there should be an easier option to disable this and it should be made clear that this feature can be turned off and on.

What a HORRIBLE company. My refrigerator compressor went out after only 3 years. We have an extended warranty. They failed to show for the service appt, did not notify me via the text chain they CONFIRMED from, called from a FRAUDULENT NUMBER and then said THE CUSTOMER was unavailable? I called that day and rescheduled for 2 days later. They still did not show up. I called and they said they closed the claim because they NEVER HEARD FROM ME after the first appt???? Yes. they did (in fact their EXECUTIVE SUPPORT LINE HEARD FROM ME) and they told me my rescheduled day and time was today 8-12. At this point, they said it was going to be ANOTHER WEEK?! Why NO PRIORITY when THEY caused these delays?? Finally agreed to allow for and outside service provider to come out. I called him immediately and he was amazing. He was there within 30 min to assess the situation. Between him coming and 2 hours later, I got a NEW case number with a NEW service provider (which I didnt need or ask for) and they CANCELLED THE TICKET HE WAS WORKING FROM!!!! Now he cant order parts for me, and they expect me to sit home ALL DAY tomorrow to wait for another technician to come out?? I have never experienced a worse customer service situation in my life. I will never buy anything LG again and will definitely be spreading my story anywhere I can. Still no fridge, lost all of our food and no resolution or ounce of compassion from this company. BUYER BEWARE!!!

We loved this fridge for about the first 3 months. Then the optional second ice maker that we purchased would take a week to fill. We were told the air temp in AZ was too hot for the fridge to produce ice any faster!! Really, how stupid do you think we are? We have had at least 10 visits to repair this issue and now the upper part of the fridge is fluctuating from 30-42 degrees when set at 37. We are losing food to spoilage and freezing. We are paying for all the spoilage. The battle continues to have this fridge operate as it should. VERY VERY FRUSTRATING. I will not buy LG again.

Ive had my LG Top Load Washer 2yrs, 4 mo and couldnt be more displeased with it. As others have said, it gets out of balance nearly every load and doesnt wash anything very well. Often I have to wash a 2nd time. Today was the icing on the cake. It overflowed and flooded 3 rooms. I put it on pause and opened the lid, and it started draining water. I let it finish then turned it OFF and it went back to draining even more water in OFF. I pulled the plug and ready to send it off a cliff. NO MORE LG for me. First and last time!! I wont bother getting it fixed since I can tell that will be a waste of more money on a cruddy product.

We were building a new house and were looking for appliance packages. We really liked the appliance package and LG refrigerator because it had this cute little window in the door. It was a good price as well, and we liked the refrigerators features. The little window in the door is my favorite. The refrigerator has French doors and I can open just that part, like a little window door, of the top door and keep stuff in there. We had some issues, though, with the water dispenser on the front of it. The repairman called it a continuous water feature. It wouldn’t shut off when you press your water on it. It kept going on with water or ice until you locked it. So we had to have it repaired probably within the first month we had the refrigerator. But since then, it has worked fine. I’m pretty happy with my LG refrigerator.

LG Compressor complaint bought 3 years ago (brand new). 05/15/2017 - When I started filing a claim thru LG protection plan. I spoke to a male representative and mentioned that he will send someone to check the fridge. We briefly explained to him whats going on. That the fridge is not cooling and since my husband is a technician himself, he knows whats going on to the fridge. My husband mentioned that the compressor is not working. The rep sent us a part for relay which when the (First attempt) technician came over to fix it. He said that they sent the wrong parts. He said and will report to LG that it was the compressor that is broken. We waited for the parts to be ordered. I called several times to follow up (month of May/June). The reps were telling me that the compressor is on its way and they have set up an appointment with the technician but the parts still hasnt arrive to the house. I even asked the representative if the technician will have the actual compressor because we havent received it. She said if we didnt have it then the technician would probably have it. When the same technician arrived to the house (Second attempt), he doesnt have the parts and we dont have it as well. He ended up leaving without fixing it and recommended to call LG again. I called and when I spoke to another representative, they said that it was on back order. How come they didnt explained it in the first place and sending the technician just to waste our time? I complaint to them and ended up talking to a supervisor who gave me a mini fridge that we picked up at a local Home Depot for the inconvenience because I told them that Im pregnant and taking insulin which I appreciate them for accommodating me.When I called and spoke to the technician. He mentioned that when its 40 days and still cant find the parts that probably we will be reimbursed. I called on the 40th day. That is June 26th. That same day the compressor came in the morning and my mother received it. However I was not home at the time so I asked him if he will schedule the service. The representative I spoke to said that he cant schedule it for some reason in his system and told me to call an 800-243-0000 number to schedule the service. When I called this number, they couldnt locate my claim nor cant find me on the file. The person I spoke to said that I have to call LG back to get this situated. Then they schedule me with Precision services who message since 06/28/2017 and said that they will schedule the service and we will get a call. Several text reminders received until on 06/29/2017 a text message came and said they are ready to schedule the service. Still theres no live person that I can talk to when they are coming. On 06/30/17; they message me again and wants me to explain briefly what the situation is. Instead of texting them I called them instead and was able to talk to someone who scheduled the service on 7/7/2017.Finally the tech came in the morning and my husband called me at work and said that the technician didnt fix it and just troubleshoot the problem about the compressor. He even said that why sent him there when they know that they have to send a LG manufacturing license technician who can fix the compressor. I got so furious and upset. I called them on 7/7/2017 and spoke to the supervisor, Angel who promised that someone within 4 hours will call me and schedule the service but no one called. I called this Morning and spoke to another supervisor named Chase who stated that theres a service provider that can do it and its near our location and will request it however, considering its the weekend that they might be closed. He said that I have to wait 1 business day. I told him I was told if they couldnt locate anyone to fix our fridge to just reimburse us. We have been waiting for so long. Its going to be almost 2 months without a fridge. Several calls has made and they didnt even call us back for the status. I have to constantly call them what happened to the back order parts, when finally we receive the parts, asking them when the technician will fix it. Now, they couldnt locate a license technician who can fix our LG fridge and still I have to wait. Theyre explaining that it has to be license LG manufacturing which I totally understand. If they know the problem, they should have located a technician long time back. I have this on file, the other technician informed them the problem since beginning of June. We are now in July and still no resolution. I will wait again on Monday for a phone call which is not for sure if they will find a technician and still by then he is still not sure what will be the resolution to the problem. They keep on promising and misleading the customer. What kind of LG protection is this, this should have been handled smoothly. When you have protection services, they should have a good contact technician that is license to fix with this kind of problem and not let the customer have false hope, give reason to wait and still be disappointed. Sorry doesnt cut the chase and were still inconvenience with this problem. Im pregnant and stressing me so much. I dont know what else I can do to resolve my issue and Im writing a complaint and hoping that someone from LG Company resolve this issue as soon as possible. I saw LG compressor complaints online and has 1840 which I dont know if they resolve it. They should at least pay attention to this issues.

I have an LG inverter direct drive top loading machine. No agitator. It does work well but not as well as my old front loading machine. I had to get a new machine because my old one didnt fit the new space. The LG does do a pretty good job of cleaning but is loud. I would rate it as very good but not best. It is a good value for the price. I have had it for a year now. So far so good.

Ive had my washer dryer for almost 2 years. In that time I have had service on the machines for various reasons and have been somewhat satisfied. During the time Ive owned them my family has noticed that all my towels smell like mildew. I have done everything from tub cleaning which there is a button for that and buying tub cleaners. I leave the door open when not in use and never leave a wash lay in there, but it still always smells. Today when I went into room the whole room smells. I immediately called LG and they will not come out for smells. I also told them I noticed under and around rim there is gunky stuff that I cannot remove and they said they will not do anything. I will NEVER buy another LG appliance again!!

Purchased stove (LRG30357ST) from an appliance outlet in 2009 & had no problems other than fake chrome on over priced knobs crinkling from heat, until this year, 2014, when bottle fell from counter & bounced up on to the outer glass of door, shattering the glass. Thought it could be a DIY fix & purchased the tempered glass from **. Glass turned out to be too long for project. After much frustration, I came to the conclusion that because the glass was originally glued to the inside of door (with brackets to support weight of glass) that it is impossible to get JUST the glass. I have to purchase a new door, while throwing away or recycling a perfectly good door (minus glass) to the tune of 335.00. I mean, come on LG, some of us do have some smarts. And since its out of warranty I wont be getting any recompense from them & hate to use homeowners insurance (deductible is higher than door). So, am frustrated by NOT being able to get JUST the glass. They probably ran out of such parts at the Mexico plant where it was manufactured. And the person at the LG 800 number. Well shes a piece of work. Has a job, has a script & doesnt care because LG doesnt care either!

This french door fridge (split doors, one fridge drawer and one freezer drawer) was bought in 2015. It has moderate space (the freezer section is a little small). It had to have the compressor and evaporator replaced in December 2018 right before Christmas. Cost of repair was cover by LG. Cost to replace all the food for Christmas that was ruined was covered by me. After that we put a small cheap (freezer on top) fridge in the basement and keep about half our food in it because we were told that this was a known issue and we could not be guaranteed how long before it would need to be fixed again. Its now October of 2019 (10 months later) and the fridge is once again not cooling. A tech is coming to look at it and we didnt lose as much food this time but no one should need two fridges to keep one fridge worth of food cold. I would strongly recommend avoiding LG or any fridge using a linear/inverter compressor. Other brands fridges with lessor warranties may cost less but are often still manufactured by LG with the same technology (which seems to be flawed or poorly manufactured). Our previous fridge was an old and ugly Kenmore but it had kept food cold for 20+ years with nothing but an annual cleaning of the coils.

I bought an LG Refrigerator in 5/2011. Three months out of warranty and I spent $533.00 today to fix 3 parts. Now fridges are supposed to last 10-12 years. There’s only one person in the house so it is not abused. I called and of course outsourcing. I spoke to the executive complaint department. If I didnt have the repairman fixing it, they would consider possibly helping out. Since my repairman was repairing the flawed parts, and the refrigerator was warm, how much longer should I wait for their technician to come out? Someone needs to start a class action lawsuit against LG since so many people have complaints about their product. The parts are cheap, they break. This wasnt a couple of dollars to just throw away but with the repair cost, should I have bought another refrigerator? What is going to go next?

I purchased an LG washer and dryer from Home Depot about 18 months ago. I got their top model at the time top loading. After about 15 months I noticed the paint around bleach dispenser beginning to bubble up and so I removed the blue tray only to find machine has been rusting. I thought perhaps its because when pouring bleach we sometimes get it between the plastic and machine. Then when looking under, I noticed the entire machine has massive rust buildup to where its flaking and falling on the plastic edges of the drum. After contacting LG about this issue they pretty much said Im out of warranty and oh well. At the rate of the rust Im guessing another 2 years and metal clips / screws will pretty much break during a spin cycle and nothing I can do about it except share this troubling issue to save someone else thousands of dollars on LGs poorly protected product against moisture. That 10 year warranty sticker is such a gimmick since these wont make it past 5 years with the crazy rust buildup. I did some research online and found that many other users have gone through the same frustration. I hope all the negative reviews will get LG to better insulate metal surfaces in their machines. Even my car comes with 10 year 100,000 mile warranty against rust yet washer has no rust warranty?

Our front load LG washer began giving us problems 8 months from purchase. I called LG twice and they recommended unplugging the unit to reset the computer. The machine would work after waiting 6-8 hrs. Eventually, that did not work and repair was needed. The repair men discover two tears in the rubber gasket that were caused by metal clips below that had 1) sharp edges and 2) placed too near the gasket. Over the year of use, the tears occurred and dripped onto the thermistor. It was a manufacturing/quality issue, even supported by the repair man and discussed with their technician at LG who agreed and took notes. LG refused to pay for the repair because it was outside the warranty period. They were disrespectful on the phone and emailing exchange kept sticking to company line of outside the warranty period. Good companies stick by their workmanship. I believe they can make good machines. Mine was a lemon and they couldnt care less.

Neither of their solutions worked, the dishwasher will still not operate properly and they have yet to refund my money. Instead, they provided me with a credit towards a new one of approx. $450. This in effect will cost me, when you account for the new machine, delivery, installation, taxes approx $1135. It leaves a simple line of gray up to 6 inches long various places all over my pants. In contacting the company I was told to do the tub cleaning more often. I have found that this grease collects right inside the door around the seal. I have cleaned it out regularly but alas my white pants came out ruined again. I felt that I had researched this product quite well before purchasing. I am very disappointed and feel stuck with a washer that ruins my clothes. I called customer service for my LG True Balance Direct Drive Washer which I purchased in 2012, so its 5 years old. It has been going off balance and slow to fill with the dribble of water coming from the internal outlet in the washer. It would take all day to do one small load of wash because of this. The phone service is outsourced to India. When I finally got someone who could understand the problem, they said it would cost $350 for one of their service people to come out. COME ON! When I said that was ridiculous, they said they knew it was a bit pricey. REALLY?The smart diagnosis app would not download. When I went on YouTube to see if I could figure things out, I saw the little blue rinse cap emit water on the cycle, WHAT A SURPRISE, mine never did work, I didnt even know it was supposed to shoot water into the washer. I called an independent appliance repairman who came out for $49, which would go toward parts and labor if I needed it. He took one look at my 5-year-old LG WASHER and said, These are nothing but problems, I have left homes with people crying over the problems with these washers. Dump it and get a G.E.washer. LG used to be GoldStar which was the worst brand out there, they just remarketed themselves. I wanted to cry. I spent A LOT of money on this set and for a repairman to not even open the back panel- speaks volumes. He opened the lid, spun the barrel, and looked at me and said, You have more than one problem here, its going to cost at least $400 to repair, are you sure you want to do that with a machine 5 years old? I did extensive research on these products before I purchased with Consumer Guide and Reviews. I thought I did a good job with choosing wisely. Repair guy said: They all work good when they are new.

Purchased LG Model LFXS29626B because of good reviews and it had features we desired like 2 ice makers. Worked fine for 3 years then stopped without any signs of problems. Research discovered common failures of the compressors in these LG refrigerators. Contacted LG by phone and using Smart Diagnosis was informed by the technician that the compressor had failed. My worse fear with no extended warranty. LG offered to repair my unit without cost to me. It was repaired the same day, in short time as the repairman came with required parts on hand. I applaud LG for owning this problem, but feel cautious wondering if the new compressor will fail after a short time period. We hope not because up to this point, it has served us well and we like the looks, and features. Previous refrigerator was a Kenmore, which lasted 16 years and cost one fourth of the LG.

I have a brand new refrigerator LRDC2603S delivered on 9/12/2020. The refrigerator did not cool to 37 degrees & remain hot at 45+ degrees. We changed the setting to 33 but the fridge temp was only able to cool to 44 degrees. After numerous phone calls & with technician repaired it 4 times, the fridge temperature is still too hot, over 42 degrees. I have bought a refrigerator thermometer to monitor the temperature.Every time calling LG, it takes at least an hour before somebody answered the phone. Most of the time, you cant get hold of anybody. I was totally flabbergasted when a customer rep asked me whether I had done my troubleshooting after I called back to report the fridge still not working properly after another repair service. The technician was very nice & professional. Its the customer service people that are supposed to provide services that I have problem with. They are either non-responsive or rude or give you the merry go round or totally incompetent. And they will forward my phone call to another dept & then the phone was dropped. Nobody really tried to resolve the issue and give us a solid answer. The issue is very clear. Fridge didnt cool to the set temperature. If you cant fix it, replace it. And when I told them of my food keep getting spoiled. Their typical answer is sending me a link to report it so I can claim. Fridge was delivered last Sept. We purchased this microwave in 2018, along with the matching refrigerator, dishwasher, and double oven. Spent a small fortune to buy them for our new kitchen. Our kitchen remodel was delayed so the microwave wasn’t opened until just recently. It was opened and installed professionally. During its first use I could hear what sounded like a fan, come to a grinding halt. We called LG and were told that because it’s out of warranty we would have to take it to an authorized repair shop (but would most likely have to pay for the repair ourselves). The nearest shop is about an hour away, and that’s after we take it down from the wall/cabinets. Then we are expected to reinstall it. I’m beyond overwhelmed and deeply disappointed.

I have had this washing machine for over a year and am very dissatisfied with it. I would NOT recommend anyone purchase this machine. You can only dream of getting a hot wash unless you turn off the cold water faucet. Then you have to turn it on to get enough water for a rinse. The sheets are twisted in knots and other articles of clothing wrapped in them. You must stop the machine and unravel the sheets. During the wash one of the sheets balloons up covering the whole load and this requires another manual adjustment. I had a Samsung top loader which was recalled because the drum came loose. Wish this would happen to this washer so I could get rid of it. If I were able to give it - 0 stars, that would be my rating. I cannot stress enough, you will not be happy with this washer. Not all of the negative reviews. They are all true.

I apologize for the wordiness of this, but our situation has been going on
I apologize for the wordiness of this, but our situation has been going on for a long time. If I pay $800.00 for a product, and that product fails, I expect a refund. With LG, it doesnt work this way, apparently. I am so sorry I ever bought an LG dryer. I have a dryer at a rental that is over 23 years old. Not a problem; works like a charm. All I want now is a simple dryer with two buttons: on and off. No songs, no flashing lights. We purchased our LG dryer (washer and fridge too!) in June 2014. All three were delivered July 14, 2014. On November 21, 2014, the dryer stopped working. By that I mean that when you pressed the button to run a cycle, it sat there blinking at you and the drum did not turn. Hence begins the ongoing nightmare of 1) trying to speak with an actual customer service rep and 2) scheduling a service tech to come and fix it.On November 28th, an LG authorized tech came out. He couldnt fix the dryer and needed to order a part. Being a Friday, the part was not ordered until December 1st. December 17th, almost a full month since our dryer stopped working, the tech came out to fix the dryer. After spending two hours, he turned it on and it gave us the same symptoms. The tech then remarks, Hm. Looks like the installation did not account for propane. You need a propane conversion. Really? They tell us now? Why not during the initial installation? Why not the first time the tech came out? And this has to be at our expense of course. We are now heading into the holiday season. Family coming to visit. No dryer. We have by now spent gas money, our time, extra planning on when we can drive a load of wet clothes eight miles into town, and scrounged around for cash for the dryer loads. We paid the LG authorized tech over $200 to convert to propane. He did that conversion January 13, 2015. Two weeks later, on January 27th, the dryer failed again with the same symptoms as November 21st. My husband and I by now have spent hundreds of hours on the phone with LG and with Home Depot. It was around this time that we decided we wanted a refund. On one occasion, I asked for a manager (I was getting tired of repeating my story), and twice got cut off. This in one day. I called the tech company myself to schedule a repair. They know who we are by now and I asked them to please escalate! February 2, 2015: The tech comes out and cant fix it. It needs yet another part! We are furious and frustrated and tired of having to reschedule our lives around laundry trips. If Home Depot cannot sell a product for which the manufacturer stands by, then why do they sell it? February 4th. The Home Depot person I have been speaking with finally got me a phone number and a real person at LG. (My notes have at least six different phone numbers.) The LG rep told me she would be sending me an email to which I could upload my service call receipts, and my proof of purchase (they dont have this?). Again, I am spending my time running around for something I paid for. (Had to print it, shrink it, scan it, and make sure it did not exceed the MB limit imposed on me. Of course it did the first time I tried.) This makes no sense. This is not customer service. The woman whose name and number at LG I now covet, said I would receive a confirmation email in 24 hours. I did not. She also said I would receive a decision on my request for a refund in 72 hours. I did not. February 10: I finally gave in and called her back (like I said, hundreds of hours lost on the phone, waiting on hold, pressing buttons, getting disconnected), and my request for a refund was rejected. I have to have one more tech visit (which is currently scheduled for February 16), and then resubmit everything all over again. This is a nightmare!

I unplugged it to try to reset it and when I plugged it in again it was completely dead and the clothes were still locked inside with a lot of water. The repairman from Sears (where we bought it) said it needed a new control board and the cost of the repair would be $661. We can buy a new machine for not much more so we declined. We purchased an LG side-by-side refrigerator in 2011. The model was on sale. I wish I had seen the negative reviews here before purchasing! The ice maker often sticks (the water position). In the cube position we most often get crushed ice and few cubes. I find access to the on/off switch for the ice maker very inconvenient; a drawer - on which we keep ice cream containers - must be removed to reach the switch.. an awkward arrangement. And if we remove the ice drawer, getting the metal rod that protrudes from the back into the correct place can be difficult. Our experience hasnt been nearly as bad as many listed here, but I definitely would not recommend the LG to anyone.

Bought the top-loading Inverter Direct Drive about 3 years ago. This is the biggest POS appliance we have ever owned! Washer gets unbalanced with almost every load - no matter how small or large. It takes a LONG time to wash any load. The display may say that its a 52-minute load. Thats ONLY if you monitor it getting unbalanced or shutting off completely. It mostly gets unbalanced at 34 minutes remaining and at 11 minutes remaining. Unless you use the bulky setting, you get next to NO water in the tub. And the very WORST PART is that it has RUINED countless shirts, pants, and shorts. It will put dark, short streaks (stains) ON YOUR CLOTHES THAT YOU CANNOT GET OUT. We have washed the Maxine-stained items up to six times using a wide variety of stain removers and NOTHING works. We wound up throwing items away after this machine stained them. Now we turn everything inside out. We hope to be moving soon and will GLADLY leave this machine behind. What a HORRIBLE appliance!!!

DANGEROUS MICROWAVE! Not even a year old and some interior paint chipped after approx. 6 mos. of this brand new LG Microwave. It caused sparking and smelled like something was burning. It more than likely could have caught fire if I didnt catch it right away by pressing Stop on the control panel. There was exposed metal inside around the door area where the paint chipped. I didnt return it cause I lost the receipt (I have bank info cause I paid with my Debit Card). I never purchase insurance cause I have been ripped off so much with that. I cant afford to buy another microwave so I put some appliance paint on the chipped area let it dry overnight. It did work, however a few months later it chipped and again MORE SPARKING in a different area. Repeated the process with the appliance paint and again it worked. Shouldnt have to worry about this. I dont walk away when using this microwave cause its DANGEROUS!I was also unhappy with this LG Microwave due to it being LOUD, HARD TO SEE CONTROL PANEL, COOKS VERY HOT (OVERCOOKS USING THE CONTROL PANELS TIMED COOKING & TEMP eg... Potatoes, Popcorn etc. I did read reviews prior to purchasing and some of the issues can be overcome, however not the FIRE HAZARD ISSUE! I was surprised to see 4-5 star reviews. Quite simply - THE MOST DANGEROUS OVEN... We have had 3 burns due to the smoothtop surface overheating during self cleaning cycle. If you have this oven - BEWARE. One burn was severe. The other problems, the touchpad works...then doesnt work. You never know when it will not comply. Tragically, Christmas dinner was 4 hours late due to this problem. If you cook on the burners and it gets too hot..the oven will not work....and vice versa. Had a repairman and he insists that the repair will cost more than the stove. I am hoping that others confirm they are having these nightmares!

Our refrigerator is less than three years old. Bought it from local Sears store. Right after Christmas it began to not cool as well and finally quit all together new years. Called Sears. Local guy came out but out of warranty. Also they are closing or store so they couldnt service. Sears guy told me it was the compressor and that LG AND SAMSUNG both knew had bad compressors but they would sell them anyway. It is now four weeks later and service tech due out next week. After reading reviews I do not hold out much hope. I will never every buy LG again. Every LG appliance Ive purchased has been crap. Just replaced a 3 year old washing machine too.

Our new LG model 6323S electric range needed gating used to. Something to consider, LG designers didnt think of the 220 connection at the rear of the range. Unlike my old range, the back cover did not go all the way to the floor, leaving twelve inches clear and unobstructed access to the underside from the rear of the range, this allowed plenty of room for the electrical connection and allowed the heavy wiring to slide under the rear of the appliance and further allowing the range to go all the way back flush against the wall. With this new range, the full rear back cover completely prevent access to the void under the range, there is no room allowing clearance for the connection and storage for the excess heavy wiring, causing the range to stick out from the wall over three inches looking out of place and giving room for items to fall behind the stove. Im strongly contemplating getting rid of this LG range. When purchasing a new range, who would think of such an issue? Wont do the same mistake again.

I initially chose the LG refrigerator because of the style. It matched my kitchen appliances already in the house. I also picked it because it was spacious and affordable. The LG refrigerator that I previously owned was spacious. It was also nice stainless steel design. It had a good ice maker that also gave you good cold water. I didnt like the fact that this refrigerator didnt last as long as I thought it would. It broke and would no longer keep my food cold. It was disappointing that my nice fridge broke and I had to purchase a new one.

The compressor went out on this top end refrigerator (lglmxs 30776s/01, on sale for just under $2700 ) at 2 years and 2 months-the parts were under warranty. It took 6 weeks and 2 days to get it fixed, and many, many phone calls to LG! Their consumer service twice referred me to repair companies that could not come through (you had to use their referrals under warranty), and when they couldnt get the job done, you had to wait another 5 business days to let them respond, then you had to wait another few days for them to find a location of another repair shop. This was getting old so I got Home Depot (where I bought it)) involved to put pressure on them. Finally LG let me find my own repair shop and it was fixed! OVER 6 WEEKS LATER-a near $2700, 2 year old refrigerator, by the way the labor was $700. NEVER another LG product for me!!!

We purchased refrigerator, microwave, range on August of 2011. Each of the above appliance has had more than two repairs done in the course of 4 years. I contacted LG and also the BBB. LG will only offer an extended warranty, but refuses to say for how long. I have had the same washer and dryer for over ten years and never had a repair done to them. My Kenmore refrigerator was over 20 years old and worked, but I decided to remodel and get new appliance. Will never ever buy LG again. They do not stand behind their products and they only give you the run around. An appliance should not have to be repaired this many time. I believe all three items are cheaply made and will continue to give me problems even after the warranty runs out.

We purchased the LG French door, bottom freezer about 5 years ago. We spent the extra money because we thought that LG was one of the best at the time. This model has only the water-in-the-door; icemaker in bottom drawer. The salesperson showed us why THIS bottom drawer was better than others with the same idea: the gear-type rollers were more substantial and the slides were larger. The rationale was that it would be more durable. In the past year, the freezer drawer is becoming harder and harder to pull out and/or push in. I have taken the bin out and found grease/graphite on the bottom of the unit and along the left rail. Water from the icemaker also tends to build up as it sometimes drips onto the left rail, making the rolling very difficult. After wiping it out, it seems to be fine for a few hours...then its hard again. We have had it with LG appliances. We had an LG dishwasher that nobody would work on. The LG washer/dryer that we have, are doing OK for now, but the bellows in the bottom of the washer where the water is pumped has cracked twice in 5 years, allowing water to run get on the floor. I should have had a pan put under the washer, but this indicates either bad engineering or bad design.

Original manual says, Do not wash or spin water proof clothes. Literature Update: Do not wash or spin any item labeled or known to be water-proof or water-resistant, even if the product care label on the item permits machine washing. Failure to follow these instructions could result in bodily injury, severe damage to your laundry, your washer and/or property damage as a result of abnormal vibration of the washer. Examples of water-proof or water-resistant items include certain mattress pads, mattress covers, rain gear, camping gear, skiing apparel, outdoor gear and similar items.I contacted LG and they informed me that it is all legal and there is nothing they are going to do to help me wash my water resistant clothing. Of course, this is after speaking with several reps and getting the runaround, playing stupid, not understanding that water proof and water resistant are different, and outright telling me that this is all in the original manual. I had to email a copy of the page in question for LG rep to tell me that yes, they have changed specs on the washer but they are legally allowed to change it and there is nothing I can do about it. Specs are supposedly listed and changed on LG website and it is all legal to change it after sale of a product. I have read the whole manual and LG rep has pointed me to the exact page they claimed at first this information was to be found.

Wednesday 25th of May my refrigerator stopped working. Both refrigerator and freezer part. I called the 800 number on owners manual that came with the refrigerator and was told I had to either pay over $200 or $399 for 1 year extra insurance because they could not find my registration card and could not tell me when I bought it. So I paid the $399 thinking someone would come out and look at the fridge. I was informed that no one could come until the following Wednesday because it was a holiday weekend. The repairman came on Tuesday and informed my husband that the freon system was not properly cleaned before installation causing the freon to leak or evaporate from the system, causing the entire coolant system to malfunction. According the repairman this was done during the assembly process. He had to order a part and would take a few days to get. We waited a week and had to call LG back to get the repairmans number and find out what was taking so long. We were informed that the part is on back order and will not be available until after the 15th of June. At no time did the repairman call and inform us of this development. I have two small children in my home and cannot keep fresh foods available for them. I will not recommend an LG appliance to anyone. The customer service sucks and the phone center could give a damn. They could not tell me when we purchased the refrigerator but when my husband called they told him it was purchased in December 2014. This will be 18+/- days without a refrigerator and the weather so far has been in the high 80s.

The features I liked about the LG refrigerator was my double side by side doors and the ice maker and water dispenser were the best part of it all. I would get it again if I needed another one anytime soon. The Only thing I didnt like was I think there could have been more shelves and storage room inside it. Overall it has been a really good refrigerator though, so I really cant complain about it too much. I never really had any issues. The reason I purchased the LG refrigerator when I did Is due to a sale they had going on at the time and I liked the style of the fridge. I chose this brand over other brands because I have purchased LG in the past and never had any issues with them at all.

Bar none, THE worst dishwasher (dishwasher is an oxymoron) we have ever had. Worse even than the defunct one we replaced. I rinse all dishes but when I unload it I sometimes wonder if water touched anything. Also the soap is dried on the interior door, hello! Does it even rinse the door off? I gave it one star because it is indeed quiet but I have resorted to washing dishes mostly by hand now if I want them all to be reliably cleaned.

I bought the gas range (LRG3061) back in November and since then I have had nothing but issues. The oven flame is over firing and the inside of the oven becomes black after use. It takes me hours to clean and it returns again after using the oven a few times. When I try to use the burners it makes the bottom of my pans black which is terrible. Each time I call LG they set me up with an appointment for a technician to come but no one ever shows up in the actual appointment date. This issue has been going on for a few months now and LGs ability to fix the problem has been disgraceful. It is a health hazard and I have spent a lot of money on this gas range and whenever I cook it turns the food black. To this date Im still waiting for a technician to come to fix the issue.

After multiple breakdowns, LG accused me of buying a used defective refrigerator. The French door unit was purchased NEW at Home Depot. LG finally claimed that there were duplicate units out there with the same serial number, and that I had received the good one. How can there be duplicate serial numbers, where one unit is a defective unit? Very suspicious. Departments of Consumer Affairs in three states got involved, and the New Jersey arbitrator was so exasperated with LGs tricks that he advised me to take LG to court.

I urge you to call your states consumer affairs office, your local TV News Consumer Guy, and most especially, YOUR BANK/CREDIT CARD COMPANY!! Your CC should go to bat for you, and will likely do a charge-back if you think the Lemon Law applies to you, which I agree it does. Theres a thing, a consumer law created for just this kind of situation, that you have the right to expect a product will perform as expected. Yours hasnt, and the store clearly is making sport out of giving you the runaround. I dont care how long it has been, you are owed satisfaction for getting a non-working fridge. Please call your Credit Card Company. Free hint: If your end of the conversation has the word Fraud in it (This feels a lot like Fraud; they took my money and I got nothing in return). Youre not ACCUSING anyone of Fraud, just saying how it makes you feel, get it? They seem real happy if that word in particular enters the conversation. It has happened to me, and it was clear that it needed to be spoken by the person complaining. The truth is, imho, you were defrauded. You deserve a full refund, so you can take your money elsewhere. And dont forget if you purchased any extended warranty, you should get that refunded, too. Just my 2. I am not a lawyer, a consumer advocate or anything. Updated on 09/09/2019: In mid June the compressor on our until went out. Repair technicians came and replaced the compressor. That lasted 2 weeks and they had to come again and they replaced a hose they said had a pin sized leak. 2 weeks later the unit failed and a different company came to check the unit. He cleaned out some things and refilled refrigerant. Well 3 weeks after that it failed again. The technician advised he didn’t know what was wrong. He thought replacing the compressor again along with the coils might help but wasn’t sure what was wrong with it. All he did was refill refrigerant. LG promised us that the 4 call would be the one to determine if our 3.5 year old fridge was repairable. It did not cool and we have thrown out countless hundreds of dollars in food.LG is now telling us to call back tomorrow and they will send out a different technician to see what is wrong with it!! OMG!! LG, your refrigerators don’t work and you know it. Mind you it takes anywhere from 5-7 days for a technician to even come each and every time we have called. We live out of coolers and are completely frustrated with LG! I would never advise anyone to purchase an LG refrigerator.Original Review: Our few year old, expensive refrigerator/freezer stopped cooling in early June. We contacted LG and they sent out a repairman 3 days later who did not have a compressor in hand and had to order it. So over a week after we called our refrigerator was fixed, BUT, for now only 2 weeks then it died again. The repair people came out and said there was a pinhole leak in a hose and they replaced it and put in new refrigerant and so on. Well, it lasted 2 weeks again and a different repair company came and basically said he would clean out the hoses and he refilled the refrigerant. It had lasted 3 weeks this time!My fridge has been at a solid 69 degrees and the freezer at 55. It has taken over a week to get someone here. LG claims they will replace or give a refund for the fridge this time. I have thrown out several upon several hundreds of dollars of food. Lg knows they have a defect in the linear compressor and they just need to replace the refrigerators that have issues. Each time we call it has taken over a week to get it fixed and it seems like it’s only a temporary solution.

In November 2014, purchased a LG Double door with a bottom freezer drawer for nearly 3000.00. Had repair company to come out to address issue with ice maker only dispensing crushed ice. New assembly was ordered and necessary repairs made. Next, I noticed in a certain angle approaching the refrigerator there appeared what looked like a dent in the door. Upon examining more closely, the problem is a imperfection in the metal which gives such an appearance. Extremely annoying. Service Tech once again dispatched and saw what I saw and said the door would be replaced for there was a imperfection in the metal giving the appearance of a dent. LG has lost a loyal customer as a result of such a care less concern.

We were very excited when we bought our top of the line LG washer and dryer frontload set 4 years ago. Just ran into problems with a code popping up and the washer quitting after about 10 minutes of use. The only option was to drain and spin once that happened. When it spinned it sounded like a jumbo jet preparing for takeoff. Anyway, we waited 7 days for a tech to come out because there is only one authorized dealer per city I believe. He had to order a part so we had to wait 14 days for it to arrive. He put it in and ran the machine on empty and all seemed well. I mentioned the jumbo jet noise and he said thats not a good sign. Of course it didnt do it while he was there. He said if this part isnt the problem then you need a new circuit board and the jumbo jet noise would be the barrings and if that is the case its best to cut your losses. After that we put a light load in and the same thing happened all over again. Complete waste of time and money. While all this was going on, the dryer also started to smell like burning diesel fuel inside when we ran it. We didnt bother to call back. We are done playing games. We are moving on to Maytag. Never buying anything from LG ever again. I hope the LG tv we bought a year ago isnt a lemon.

We purchased our set (LG Tromm DLG8388NM Washer and Dryer) in 2006 and for the first two years, everything seemed to work well. But now, the washer leaks, the drum is corroded with black disgusting gunk that is difficult to get to let alone clean. The clothes stink even after washing them twice, with bleach and fabric softener. The dryer spins but there aren’t any heat. We spent over $2,500 on the set from Home Depot and have been disappointed to say the least. We also had a bad experience with an LG dishwasher and refrigerator. Both had to be replaced a year after purchase. We spent a total of $6,500 on LG products and they have not lived up to their Lifes Good name. My suggestion is not to roll the dice with any of their products because you will be angry and frustrated.

Installed unit from 7/15/2016. Morning 12/24/2019 wife noted dripping water into unit from front upper ice maker. Upper 56/lower 54 degrees. Merry Christmas, family coming, 12lb ham for Christmas & 10lb brisket for Christmas Eve. Immediately connected with LG phone & Clark the virtual voice response system. After 2 quick checks on virtual phone; 1) Yes unit is level and doors closed, 2) No change in fridge 37 degree setting recently; Clark at main office determined required service person & sent text message to file form online. Performed immediately & attached scanned copy 12/24/2019 of all prior receipt/invoicing paperwork for original install. Confirmed upon completion same time that original registration was in system by logging onto original registration account. NO RESPONSE after confirmation online that they had received my input or assigned anyone from local service. On 12/26/2019 evening located 2 available LG service centers in area from LG website, still no follow-up directly and no means noted to do such. Left voice message with one local service center 12/26. Next morning 12/27 called them again and resubmitted my invoice/installation paperwork for warranty confirmation to them via email & scheduled earliest available service visit for Tuesday 12/31/2019. Diagnosis 12/31 -> failed compressor. LG class-action lawsuit noted; still no follow-up from LG Main Office directly after original online submittal & confirmation of receipt. Local service anticipates once LG receives their paperwork end of day when he returns to office & LG re-certifies/validates original purchase/registration; then typically 7-10 business days for LG to send parts to them. Different person will install compressor once they reschedule fix/install. Warranty paperwork indicates Parts on LG, all labor on me. Wish there was a direct way to speak with a real person at LG main office to address issues & receive proper confirmation of path forward for wife/family planning next few weeks without fridge/freezer - Ouch! Is anybody there???

Got set as gift from brother-in-law after wife helping during death of his wife. The washer has worked fine since 2008. The dryer we have had checked several times, always says vents needed cleaning. Now that I have read reviews of how having to do exactly what we have to do is dry 4-5 times, I am convinced no need to spend any money on this high dollar product. Will purchase a decent dryer... Used to be a washer dryer lasted 20-25 years. What a shame on LG! Never again.

LRE 3203 ST stainless steel electric range smooth top convection - This electric range is a Junk. Dont ever buy any LG appliances, same issue with the LG refrigerator and dishwasher. In 2012 just before Thanksgiving I purchased new appliances because I wanted all stainless steel thinking that these high-end all computerized LG appliances will serve me and my family at least for 5 years. Unfortunately I went with LG!! Big mistake!!!!! The worst appliances you could ever buy!!!The stove basically started having issues after 2 years. The burners stopped working, replaced the control panel, didnt work!!! We replaced the cooking element, didnt work. Called the customer service, they told me that this stove is too old and basically I have to pay for a technician to come out who is going to tell me what is wrong with the stove and pay for everything! Junk, junk, junk!!! Thank you LG, Thanksgiving is just around the corner. My 3rd cooking element stopped heating Tuesday this week. I have to buy a new stove now. LG customer service is not helpful, dont even bother to call!

We purchased Model LFXS30726S in late 2015. About a month ago we came home to find water all over the floor and the fridge had stopped being cold. I called LG the following day as it appeared that we had a compressor stop working and cooling the fridge. The compressor has a 10 Year Warranty on it, and LG has had known issues with this particular compressor that they used then because there is a class action lawsuit about it. Anyways, I call LG the next day and they tell me that it will be 15 days...YES over 2 weeks before someone can come even look at the fridge!! Not repair it, just look at it and order parts. Parts were going to be an additional 3-4 days I was told. I said that was unacceptable to go without our fridge with a family of 5 living here. At this point she offered no more options that were suitable to our needs so I moved on and made a few phone calls myself. I fortunately spoke to a great repair company in Denver that said they repair 3-4 compressors on LG fridges a day and that they have the parts needed to complete the job and could be here in 2 days to fix it. So I have the refrigerator repaired and it works fantastically, I call LG to file a warranty claim to at least recover the cost of the parts, and maybe a little labor if possible. LG tells me Theres nothing they can do!. Since they didnt order the work through their network of repair companies, then they wont pay for anything.Seriously!?!? You have to be kidding me?? I was going to have to wait almost 3 weeks to get my fridge repaired through LG, which is completely unacceptable, or else they wont buck up $1000 for the repairs. They have basically told me to go pound sand every time Ive spoken to them.MY ADVISE NOW - DO NOT BUY ANYTHING LG...EVER!!! There are plenty of competitors with as good, if not better products in the market who will make things right. LG is not concerned about doing the right thing as a company. LG is only concerned that their big corporation gets to keep a $1000 instead of making a customer whole by doing the right thing.

Dishwasher broke a few weeks after warranty ended. Only LG certified appliance repairman are to fix it. I lost 2 days work for a no show, no phone call repairman. Complained to LG, told 4-6 weeks and I will get a refund. It has been over 20 weeks and I am still told it will be 4-6 weeks. Spoke to manager who told me she would call me back before the end of the day yesterday - did not get a phone call back. LG is unreliable and undependable.

Three months ago I moved into a home with newer LG appliances. Recently, the freezer and refrigerator stopped keeping the food frozen or even cold. This was on Friday evening, so I searched online for possible solutions. I found a YouTube video of someone with the same fridge as I who had the same problem and he solved it by unplugging the fridge and plugging it back in. We did that, but it did not get colder. On Saturday I called the 1-800 number listed in the Smart Diagnosis section of the manual, hoping for this to tell me what was wrong and get it repaired quickly. The employee who answered the phone said they did not have the software to do this. He could send out a technician, but nobody would be available until after the weekend. I had to take the day off work to stay at home, waiting, only to be told that the technician didnt have a new compressor with him. He said he would order one, and although it would be here the next day, the technician didnt have the availability to come back until three days later. By this time, we had to throw away literally everything in both the fridge and freezer. Hundreds of dollars worth of food, not to mention all of the money spent having to eat at restaurants because of the spoiled food.Another day off work and the technician was able to replace the compressor. Thankfully it was still under warranty. He told us to wait until the next day to fill it with anything that needs to be cold as to ensure it is working correctly. He said that he hadnt had a replaced compressor fail yet. We waited 48 hours before we went back to the grocery store to fully replace what we had lost. That was yesterday.Today, I noticed the ice melting and dripping through the dispenser. I call the 1-800 number yet again, and am told, yet again, that Smart Diagnosis is unable to be used because of the lack of software. Unfortunately this time the employee says that she is unable to schedule a technician to visit because that is unavailable to her. When asked to speak with a supervisor I was told that there wasnt anyone available, but someone from the corporate office would contact me within 72 hours. 72 hours? No supervisor or manager available for simple customer service? UNACCEPTABLE!! This appliance needs to be replaced, not bandaged with defective parts. Parts fail, I understand that, but the level of customer service from LG has me unwilling to ever buy another LG appliance.

I bought my LG appliances not quite 3 years ago. I did my whole kitchen, refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, washer & dryer. They were very expensive. I thought I was buying the best. I bought them from HH Gregg. First mistake. They went out of business shortly after. I never received pedestals for washer and dryer, they owed me $150 back but of course I never saw that. The appliances are junk. Microwave is convection but has burn marks on side from first use. Dishwasher wheels fell off right away. Getting dishes in and out almost impossible unless I get halfway in it. I rarely use it because its a pain. My refrigerator compressor went out the beginning of June 2019. LG uses a company called A&E for repairs. When I called them they told me they only had one technician in my area. I finally got my refrigerator fixed today. September 11, 2019. The compressor was fixed 2 weeks ago but the day after it was fixed the icemaker went. I went without a refrigerator for two months and without ice for over 3 months. I have had to buy bagged ice for 3 months.I finally had enough with A&E and the rudeness I dealt with there. I refused them to do the repairs. LG said they got someone else to do the repairs, only thing is they never called him to set up for repairs to be done. Not once but twice. Thankfully I had his number and he made time to fix the refrigerator. His company is called Umbrella appliance repair and his name is Said. Not sure of last name. He is from Williamsburg VA. I would recommend him and give him the highest respect. He came even though they didnt call him like they said not once but twice, they had me wait all day and he didnt even know he was supposed to be here to do repairs. He worked until after 8 p.m.My husband passed away 3 yrs. ago, the person that took my info got it wrong and somehow when they sent the parts to my house, parts I didnt know were coming, came in my dead husbands name. Can you imagine getting a pkg. on your front steps with your deceased spouses information on it. Also during all of this mess my mother passed away. I had family coming in from all over the country and no refrigerator to keep food and no way to make ice. I had people here from Wisconsin, California and Pennsylvania. This has been a nightmare I wouldnt wish on anyone. Over 2 months without a refrigerator 3 months without my icemaker. LG should be ashamed. I would never recommend them to anyone and I promise I will never buy LG products again. The worst customer service ever, from LG and A & E repair services. Debbie **
