We have owned this for two years. When I put in a few days worth of our familys sweat pants and sweatshirts used both at the gym and on daily 3 mile hikes... I notice that the machine is only using 2 to 3 inches of water. This is not enough water to clean clothes!!! Also when I put in my delicate hiking shirts, they come out with streaks of soak on the outside. This means there is not enough water to properly rinse the clothing. I have tried adding gallons of water by hand, but it doesnt seem to work. Basically, NEVER BUY THE LG BRAND. My husband bought this, but obviously he did not know what he was doing.

Bought this top of line refrigerator about 5 yrs ago. Had no problems until May 1, 2017. The compressor went out. It is now June 30 and I still am without a working refrigerator. When I called for repair LG recommended the Premium Repair Service Plan saying for $338 it would cover the cost of repair no matter what the issue. They then set up an appointment for repair. The repairman said he needed to order the compressor. Thats when the run around began. First the repairman had to get authorization just to order the part. Excuse me!! This was the authorized repairman that they sent out. Whats with them needing to authorize this? It took a week to get authorization. Then it was ordered. It is now going on 2 months and there is not even an estimated time of arrival for this part. I have called LG who then tells me So sorry for the inconvenience but the part is ordered. It will be 3-5 days. I call them after 7 days only to be given the same spiel. I call the repairman who says same thing. I am getting nowhere with either of them. I wrote to LG explaining the problem as I dont get anywhere with them on the phone, only to have them say they are sorry for the inconvenience but it is Assurance, the company that they contracted with for better service options, that I need to be in touch with. However Assurance tells me that it is LG that is the problem because they have to use LG parts in keeping with the warranty. So I am stuck with no refrigerator while LG took my money for nothing so far. As we all can see this company doesnt seem to be concerned with keeping customers as its customer service sucks and they dont care. I dont know what its going to take to get them to help us. Maybe a huge class action will get their attention.

LG Top Load WT517OHV washing machine is very stylish. It has a window on top so you can see into the machine. What we dont like: it smells very musty between loads. You cant wash rugs that have a rubber backing. You cant wash water-proof or water-resistant items such as jackets. The machine doesnt fill with water for a full load. Weve tried all the settings. Every time we wash a load, we have to set the egg timer to come back after 10 minutes to shut the machine down. We then reset it to fool it into filling the drum entirely with water. How do you wash a full load of very dirty clothes with the tub filled with water half way or less?Yes we called LG several times for help. Our opinion: Buy basic washing machines w/o water saving sensors. Save your money because you only need standard settings to wash your clothes effectively. Wash only full loads to save water. Weve had this washer and an LG dryer DLEX5170/71 for two years w/o mechanical problems.

We bought a LG gas conventional oven (model or serial # LG LRG3095ST) from Frys on March 13 2015. We did not open the box until today march 27 2015 and found that the door of the oven got one hinge loose... that mean the door is only connected to stove by one hinge and the other side is hanging when open. And there is a big dent on the stove... We rushed back to Frys in the city of industry to exchange it or return it... but we were told they wont accept our return or exchange. The return department at frys gave us the number 1800 243 0000 to contact LG to settle the problem... so we called LG and the LG operator told us that there is nothing they can do. I felt like it is not fair to us. We paid for a brand new oven and got a defective one and no one seemed to be willing take a responsibility for that. We are stuck with a defective stove. The service was very bad. We were actually told by the manager step out of my store, the exit is that way! twice. We would like them to exchange the oven or refund my money.. Thank you very much for your kind help.

LG washers & dryers steel drum cracked and flooded my utility room, den area kitchen and two hallways in our home. Resolution dept/LG Risk Management Dept. tactics are unethical. The drum/tub is only partially plastic not steel. LG told me I had to get my homeowners insurance to pay for floor damage. They are awful. I contacted a number of appliance retailers and told my story and their reply was, This is why we dont even carry LG. Their appliances are pretty but thats about all. Their appliance performance and dependability does not measure up in essence. Buyer beware with LG manufacturers!!

LG makes great products that are reliable and very durable. They have a great reputation and an amazing staff. Their products allow me to be flexible in what I can do in the kitchen and how I can get it done. The fridge had a sleek anime with a great water filter built into the refrigerator and a multiple setting temperature gauge. The refrigerator also had a great ice maker that allowed us to be flexible. With current technology I would make a self cleaning product in the fridge. I would also make the ice maker larger and more compatible.

Purchased and LG LFXS32726S a year and a half ago. 6 months after the warranty expiration (of course) it breaks down. Refrigerator stopped cooling but the freezer still works. If I paid for an extended service plan, ($500 or so per year) I could have a tech come out the next day. I called a local repair company who came out and said that the compressor had a small leak and that I should call LG since the part would still be under warranty. I contacted LG who then scheduled an appointment for 4 days later even though with a service plan I could of gotten service the next day. Service tech texted he was on his way, my daughter was home and did not hear him knocking. He never texted me to state he was outside. Just left. I texted him numerous times to see what his progress of arrival was and no response, I called various times and left messages and no response.I contacted LG customer service who said my ticket was still open (at 10:00 am, tech we found out had come over at 8:34 in the morning). Waited longer and then was told at noon that the call was cancelled because he could not reach me. Funny his first text came in just fine to let me know he was on his way and when I had not heard from him and contacted him numerous times there were only crickets to be heard. Called LG customer service and was given the runaround. First I was given a number to follow up with that was supposed to be where the LG tech was being dispatched from. Called the company, this was a one man show with no employees who did not have a work order sent to him for our repair. Waste of time and aggravation there. Then with 20+ minute wait times on additional calls to customer service to just be told, call this company and see if they can help, we have no appointments available this week to reschedule you and when I asked for a supervisor... 40 minutes later I finally got one. My daughter in the mean time Contacted LG on Twitter and was given phone numbers of repair companies to call. Great customer service right? Here we are a week later with no diagnosis still and now as I am reading many more people are having the same problems. Finally got the repairman to contact me after speaking to the supervisor which was promising and he apologized and stated it must of been a problem with his phone and that he would be there first thing before 8:00 am the next morning. I personally waited for him and called him when he was late. He returned the call after 9:00 am to state he had family problems but was on his way.He then shows up just to tell me that the fan was frozen and we needed to disconnect the refrigerator and let it defrost. Hmmm when I checked online someone had the same errors and mentioned that it was a refrigerator fan that needed to be replaced so I spoke to my husband and daughter who had by then made a secondary appointment with another LG tech because we were not sure this one was going to show up after yesterdays fiasco. Lo and behold we got a third opinion, they agree with our diagnosis and changed the fan and now it is working again. One week and $429.63 out of pocket later so far (btw found fan only cost $80.00 online but we did not know how to install) hopefully this fan will last another year and a half so we can get money to buy a new NON LG refrigerator to replace this one! NEVER again will we purchase an LG product. I really thought I was getting quality and value for my money and now we have learned to do even more research before buying pricey appliances like this in our future.

Purchased the largest 110v LG Window Air Conditioner at Home Depot on Janua
Purchased the largest 110v LG Window Air Conditioner at Home Depot on January 9th 2013. On May 26th the Unit started freezing up. Contacted LG, it took 16 days to get a technician out to diagnose, then 4 days to wait for a new Condenser. 2 weeks later the unit froze up again. Called LG whom sent out the same Technician the next day and he stated it was low on refrigerant. This is a sealed unit that was ice cold on the day of the first repair, but he stated it was not fully charged, so he charged it. Three weeks later the unit froze again. LG stated they would send the same Technician the next day for a third attempt, and that if it could not be resolved they would then replace the unit. I was told the appointment time would be between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. but after having left work early my wife waited there all day for nothing. The technician never called or showed. At 6:05 p.m. I called LG who stated not to worry he would be there some time that night. At 8:15 he showed up. I was there for this visit. I am a 30 year GM Technician and hold both ASE, Robin Aire, IMACA and GM A/C certifications. I watched the technician hook a gauge to the unit and the readings with the unit on was 60psi on the low side. They do not use a high side. The needle never waivered, yet the evaporator was frozen as were the lines leading toward the compressor. He claimed that the evaporator must be clogged. I replied it had been professionally cleaned the first time it froze up in May even though it was only 5 months old. He was adamant the unit could not breathe, so we took the unit outside and with a flashlight removed the evaporator and flushed the unit with a hose and found no debris, no mold, no dirt, nothing restricting the cooling fins. The water was clear and went straight through front to back and top to bottom. This stumped and confused the technician who claimed he did not know what was wrong. We reinstalled the unit and turned it back on and watched it start to freeze again the exact same way. I stated that where the freeze point ended had to be the point of an internal restriction debris, etc. and he stated that it must be a free floating internal restriction but had no idea how to fix it. So he wrote a note saying the system was fully charged and cleaned and he found nothing wrong. I was left with an A/C unit that still does not cool and freezes up. I called LG today, they had previously told me that after three repair attempts they would replace the unit. However today, they stated they would send a different technician who could give a different opinion, then they would consider replacing the unit. I was extremely upset and was beside myself with anger. First I was lied to about the time of the appointment, then I was lied to about third time repair attempt and they would replace my unit. Now I am expected to lose more time at work to be there for another repair attempt when they have failed in the last three to make a repair. There must be another way to resolve this short of buying another unit. I have a three year replacement plan with Home Depot but it does not start until after the year is up and that is still 4 months away, and in the heat of Florida I will not last 4 months with out A/C. This is unacceptable and should not be the way a company treats their customers. I will never buy another LG product and will pursue this until I get some type of resolution, I am just not sure what or when that may be.

Our LG is a beautiful-looking appliance and for 2 years I enjoyed most everything except for the water leaking out of the bottom on to my maple floor. I called several times just to speak to someone who said I would have to call an authorized service tech (only they are located 100+ miles away and want a lot of money to come to see if it can be fixed). The ice would build up on the freezer floor, so every week I would remove everything from the freezer, remove the ice, and then the next week do it all over again. Then 3 weeks ago the refrigerator portion just quit cooling. (It will get to 58 degrees and that is it.) Now I put all my perishables in my 20 year old Frigidaire. Nobody wants to come fix the LG and customer service needs a lot of training on being customer service.I also have an LG phone for 1 month -- JUNK. I just want to say when I go buy another refrigerator it wont be LG and I will do a lot of research before I give any of my hard-earned money to another company. By the way, I did not get an extended warranty because my other refrigerator is 20 years old and still works great! Should have not gotten a new one. If I worked or owned LG I would hide my face. This is the second complaint I have written on this product.

The product is under AMC for three years and paid RS 3000 for AMC charges. When oven ignited, it had a LOUD whoosh or BOOM. Broiler wouldnt get hot enough to even make toast! I made numerous calls to Home Depot with No satisfaction. Called & e-mailed LG for months. Finally their repairman installed new broiler, still didnt get hot. All knobs broke without a few weeks. Still have not received knobs. My oven is used for STORAGE!! Will never buy another LG product, nor will I recommend LG or Home Depot to ANYONE. Also, it took 30 minutes to preheat. NEVER been so upset with a situation such as this. I used to bake A LOT, now I cant afford to replace this stove!! My husband has serious health issues. A new stove is OUT OF THE QUESTION at this point.

I purchased an LG free standing electric range model LRE3193ST in Nov of 20
I purchased an LG free standing electric range model LRE3193ST in Nov of 2017 at Lowes and 7 months later the oven blew up! Id been having problems with the temp since I first bought the range. I bought a thermometer to check and help regulate the heat because if I set it to 350 it would heat up to 275 and if I set it to 425 it would either go to 375 or to 500. Sometimes one side of the oven would be hotter than the other. When it blew up I heard a very loud bang. The inside of the range is completely warped and the oven paint coating is blistering off. This is now also a health risk. Im afraid to turn the oven on. I called Lowes and because it was within the first year the range was still under factory warranty they referred me to LG. And thats where the nightmares begin. It has been since July of 2018 that I have been attempting to get this range repaired. LG makes service appointments with providers who dont work in my area or are out of business. I had one provider tell me they dont repair LG products anymore. I have talked to about 6 LG supervisors from in the US and about 25 LG customer service persons from the Philippines. I have been hung up on, Ive been left on hold 56 minutes at times, one supervisor actually snapped at me. every time I talk to someone they promise to call back but never do. They give me repair order numbers, I have about 25 of them, and one supervisor went as far as to give me her email. Once I emailed her, the email was returned undelivered, when I called her back I was told no one with that name exists. I went back to Lowes hoping for some assistance and they got the same runaround. I am now in the process of contacting the attorney General Consumer Reporting and have vowed to put up as may bad revues as possible. I will never purchase another LG product again or go to a Lowes or Home Depot to purchase an appliance. LG is the worst. Dont buy it.

Updated on 01/01/2020: Update from LG, they offered to send a tech out to inspect my refrigerator but the stipulation was that I would charged for the visit for anything outside the warranty. When they read my review about being charged because I had outside tech come and put in a compressor, they cancelled the tech. I exposed the fraud of the company telling them I knew about the charge and would not fall for their deception. Truth released about this company.Original Review: I Bought LG Refrigerator about three years ago for my new home. By the Way LG means Lucky Goldstar. I dont feel very Lucky, in fact I feel like I have been scammed by a company that does not care for their customer. I paid close to $3000 for this top of line refrigerator which was rated by Best Buy five stars. On December 11, 2019 in the morning I noticed the freezer part was defrosting and ice formed around the doors and I had a freezer full of food. I also notice my refrigerator was not cooling properly. And there was a puddle on the floor in front of the ice maker. I thought it was an ice cube stuck in the bin and it melted onto the floor. Cleaned it up and went to work. When I came home there was more water in front of the refrigerator. I now knew something was wrong. I opened the freezer and saw my frozen food defrosted. I panic. Who can I contact now, it is after six PM. I called a friend who recommended her tech to come out and check my fridge. I did call him and he came out around 8:30 PM that night. And his diagnoses was that the Linear Compressor went and everything in the fridge needs be discarded. He said he could get another one in for $595.00 and put it in tomorrow. Since I paid so much for this fridge, I consented to have the work done. I needed a Fridge. After he left, I spent hours cleaning out the fridge and freezer and did not finish till way after 1:00 AM in the morning and I had to be up at 4:00 AM for work. I had to throw all that food out. I had steaks, shrimps, meats, fish and honey baked ham given to me for Christmas from my job. The tech did come back the next day with a new LG linear compressor and installed it and now we are up and running once again. It took about 24 hours for fridge to cool off and the following day, I started stocking my fridge. But within a few days, the fridge did not seem to be working right. I kept checking it. The freezer part was forming crystal around the inner drawers and the food was not cold. Now on December 24, 2019 I am calling the tech who put the compressor in and he is heading out of town but he sent a friend to check out the fridge. At 5:30 PM The eve of Christmas he comes and checks and tells me that the coils are leaking and it would very costly to fixed to contact LG Customer Service. My first thought is to get my frozen stuff out and try to salvage what I can and bring it over to a friend house. When finished with that I decided to call LG. I spoke to lady name Abby who politely told me because I used an outside tech to service their fridge my warranty is canceled nullified and void. She also told me that linear compressor is only under warranty for five years. My manual says ten years. It does not say anything about calling an outside Tech to service my fridge cancels my warranty on this fridge. Think about it, if I had to call LG for a tech to come out it would have taken more than a week to get this done. And time to get a linear compressor to replace the one I had. And to make matters worse, both techs told me that LG has had major issues with linear compressors and they knew about the issues and still installed them in each refrigerator. The company is scamming the American people and are not willing to compensate them. My total cost for this fridge to balm is $4500 plus buying a new fridge. I am a 75-year-old working for $15 per hour. Which means I will have to work 300 hours to recoup my losses plus buying new fridge. I am warning the public to not buy from this company any products, they are not reputable to deal with and you will take quite a loss. Their Refrigerators look good on the outside but their components on the inside are made cheaply and you pay dearly.

We purchased an open box LG washing machine from Best Buy; first they changed the delivery date without notice; fast forward five months, this washing machine flooded our brand new house THREE TIMES. LG sent a technician out one week later because they only have limited amount of service for this area; the technician couldnt find the problem and after the third visit, and us videotaping the washing machine during the wash to see where the water was coming from, the technician said it was fixed. Well, we requested him to stay and watch and finally, he see the problem that LG never heard of. After one month, LG finally decide to issue a request to Best Buy to issue a refund since the washing machine was under warranty. After I go to Best Buy, I am told that their store policy is not to issue a credit back to the credit card, but to issue a store credit. In other words, they force you to purchase something from their store rather than shop at a store that has a better return policy. Warning: Dont EVER purchase a major item from Best Buy.

LG Dishwasher Model ldf7561st - Wow, wish I read these reviews before purchasing. We upgraded our kitchen with new appliances, all LG. To be honest, the other appliances have been OK for their purchase price... This dishwasher, however, has broken down after 2 years of normal use. After calling their very friendly customer service phone bank (that has no actual power to do anything), I was informed that, lucky for me, in order to repair the dishwasher, I had two options: pay $400 for a warranty or only $265 for a repair! What a deal on their product that couldnt handle 2 years of operation! So ridiculous - I will not purchase another appliance from this company again.

I was comparing prices and online reviews and decided to go with LG. They had the best prices for the features I was looking for at the time. LG has met my expectations and I would recommend the fridge to others. I never had to have any repairs or service done on the fridge. The LG refrigerator had a lot of space for the food I needed to keep for a large family and lasted a long time. It also had a nice ice maker and was energy efficient. I only bought a new LG fridge because I was remodeling my kitchen and the fridge no longer matched with the updates. It was reliable and held up to the brands claims. Maybe one thing that the LG company could improve on is warranty length on the product.

Bought new bottom freezer french door refrigerator in February 2011, now in December 2011 fridge wont fully cool and water is leaking at the back left and from the bottom of the fridge. Called service at LG and they gave me a company who will fix. Four days later they called and said they do not service the area. Then LG gave me another company very far away and they didnt answer as they were on vacation. Finally after about 8 days, LG sent out someone who worked directly for them and he only fixed the filter and said everything else was fine. The temperature (noted by two new thermometers I have bought) inside was 42, despite the thermostat being set at 34! This man said it was the food that was supposed to be 34 not the air temperature! He said we needed to get a special thermometer to test the food temperature. That was crazy. The food was slowly going bad again. I have moved food in and out of he fridge because I have been told it needs to be empty for fixing and then told I could put food back in after it was fixed (it wasnt). This has happened three times. It is now three weeks later and while the water is no longer leaking, the fridge part is still not cooling properly. Their repair man says it is fixed. Very interesting that the warranty is going to be up in a few weeks. LG says someone will come out in three days. Why is it that they have no contract with fixer companies in my urban area (DC)? That is because the companies say LG pays very little to these companies and they dont want to work for them doing free warranty work. This is unacceptable.I have lost 100s of dollars of food over Christmas and New Year. I want all of us to file a class action lawsuit. I am truly fed up.

In July of 2010, I bought an LG LFX25961, 25 cubic feet. After 3 years, the ice maker broke down and started to freeze. The plastic had completed expanded inside. I had to manually operate the arm until this broke down too. I was about to replace the ice maker, when the freezer stopped working. I Called an LG certified repairman who showed me that the back was completed corroded causing the freon to leak. The compressor was burning hot. I was told that I could try to add freon but without any guarantee of the fridge lasting. I would be better off just buying a new fridge. He told me that most of his repairs deal with Samsung and LG which apparently are the brands taking over the big stores. I decided to buy a Whirlpool since it seems to have the least amount of repairs among all the brands. It could have been the case of a lemon, but some of my friends have reported issues with LG fridges. I was not aware that fridges need to be considered as disposable appliances and wont last more than 3 or 4 years. It appears to be the case however. I just bought a basic fridge with no water or ice dispenser. I can live without them. I will stay away from any LG kitchen appliances in the meantime and will not recommend them.

I bought my LG top loader in 2012 and was initially happy with my purchase. After about a year I noticed some rusting at the bleach dispenser but I just ignored it.Fast forward to 2017 and it has turned into a full blown big deal. It has rusted out, corroded, ready to crumble! I contacted LG and they were happy to send someone out to fix it for a flat rate of $245, to put another defective top on it that I would have to replace in a couple of years, whether I use bleach or not, because this has nothing, absolutely nothing to do with bleach! Upon doing a little online research I learned that I am not the only one having this issue, there are dozens, perhaps hundreds with the exact same problem! Yet LG swears that WE are spilling bleach and they are not liable for any repairs! But many washing machines before have had bleach spilled and did not rust like these do, so it must be a defect that LG will not fess up to. I am mad! That they are getting away with this and ripping people off!

We purchased a top load LG washer from Home Depot. We were told how energy efficient it was, saving water and time, spinning the clothing so dry it would take less drying time, and that all washers would soon be made without agitators. They were on sale, so we purchased one. Big mistake! I have to run all loads on heavy duty and extra rinse just to get enough water in the machine to get the clothes clean and get most of the detergent out (No, I dont put in too much detergent). This takes 76 minutes, no matter the size of load, which most are small to medium to be sure the clothes get clean. It has also started knocking and getting off balance. I cant wait to get rid of this washer and would never recommend this type to anyone.

Wish I never bought this dishwasher. I had it fixed when it was less than a year old, replaced a plastic wheel that used to be made of metal. It made a loud screeching noise. Makes noises off and on that are LOUD. You never know when this will happen. Soap door doesnt always open. Top rack started rusting out in the second year. Was told too bad so sad, not covered, ever. When I called for service, cant remember which problem it was, there are more, was told they wouldnt come out because they were having a problem getting paid from LG. Great! Call back in a month or so, well see if they are paying their repair bills! Ok! Called LG for another extended warranty, they said no. Its up to them, and because Id already called, I guess they knew they would have to pay out on it, so they wouldnt extend it. Now I also bought the double 30 oven, and I love it!!! NO problems, its been just over two years now.

My less than 2 yr. old French LG fridge shut off last PM and acts like it is unplugged. Absolutely dead. HH Gregg, where we bought it offered no help and said it would be 7 days before someone could even come look at it. All they could say is....you should have bought the extended warranty. HMM - obviously, there are problems. Never dreamed would have problems this quickly. I will never buy anything from them again - very poor service. I have read many reviews about bad outcomes with LG fridges - wish I had read prior to my purchase. Does anyone have any ideas on what could have 100% shut down the unit? The power outlets all good - we have checked them with other electrical items.

I had an LG washer for about three and half years. The washer stopped spinning. I called LG for the 10-year warranty and was told that a technician would come out and check the washer. I was told it would be around $100 to diagnose the problem. I told LG that the motor was slipping, it should be covered under their 10-year warranty. They said I would still have to pay a technician to come out to tell me what I already knew. I argued with them many times about the problem. I even asked them to send someone out for a courtesy call; they would not . They finally gave me the number for Parts. They found the part for the motor rotor assembly. They opened the back of the washer, undid the mounting bolt, removed the rotor, and sure enough, the rotor assembly gear was made of cheap plastic. It was strange because the new one with a metal center was stripped out. This not only should be covered by the warranty, but also, a defective product should be covered by the company. The whole job of replacing this part was about 15 minutes and $75 in parts. I have photos of the part being removed with its stripped center and the new one being installed.

Worst. Dishwasher. Ever. The tines collapse. The tines are too short and spaced poorly so the plates flop over and dont get clean. Dishes chip. The dishwasher rack derails because the rack is a little too narrow and the rollers arent wide enough to stay on the rail. It derails constantly. Then I have to try to lug a heavy rack back onto the rails and then it derails in the other direction. Detergent door doesnt click into place. Dishes often do not get clean. Purple plastic pieces holding the adjustable tines pop off and rows of tines fall into the dishwasher bottom. The pump has failed 4 or 5 times in 3 years, either blocked or defective. I made repeated, polite complaints to the company when problems persisted past the warranty period. LG DOESNT BACK THEIR PRODUCT! I paid $899 and Im replacing it with a Bosch that costs half of that. I hate this dishwasher! No, I really hate this dishwasher! (It gets one star because I cant give it negative 5 stars.)

We bought the LG Steam Washer and the Steam Dryer, with pedestals in December of 2008 from Best Buy for more than $2,600. Were a retired couple, doing a maximum of 3 loads (not large) a week. 5 years later, the washer makes a horrendous noise on the spin cycle @ medium speed or higher. Some of the dryer cycles dont run as long as theyre supposed to (and the clothes are still damp). I called LG and they gave me the name of a certified LG repairman in our area, who told us that we needed a new rod and bearings for a total of more than $600. He said we were lucky it lasted this long!!! I called LG back to seek some other recourse, and a customer service person who could barely speak English said there was nothing they could do for me. I sure wish Id read the comments on this website BEFORE purchasing an LG. I will never buy another LG product.

I have had such a bad experience with this washer and dryer. The time has never been accurate. I have to use the drain and spin multiple times. The dryer takes over 3 hours to dry. Spent approx. 8000.00 on new high-end kitchen appliances 5.5 years ago (all LG) the dishwasher was very quiet but didnt clean as well as our old Maytag but I understand they use less water and so on. We bought the 4 year extended warranty. 2 years in we noticed that stains on our utensils and found that our upper rack had rusted out. We called future shop and they sent us to the repair company. The repairman came out looked at it and ordered a new rack. 4 months he showed up with a rack and while putting it in he broke it. He said he would have to reorder. After 6 months and endless phone calls he told me due to poor service from LG he is no longer fixing LG products. I took my rusted out rack to future shop and told them to exchange it with one out of their units... They would not do it. 2 weeks later I had a new rep with a new rack. Only took almost 1 year for a new rack. 4 years in I noticed water on the floor under my fridge. Found the factory water line on the back of the fridge was split. Called for service. They said 2 weeks before they could look at it. I gave the repairman the part # of the piece I needed. He told me LG makes him go there to physically diagnose the issue... Are you kidding me... The hose is split. I went to the hardware store bought a piece of water line and installed it myself. 6 buck fix. Now my dishwasher pump has packed it in warranty ended 3 months ago. Estimated repair 500 dollars. A new Maytag dishwasher is 700 so going to add to the landfill 1 great looking LG piece of crap.

There is nothing that I dislike about the refrigerator. But an improvement that could be made is an LED TV display. We purchased a LG front load washer about ten years ago and it has performed flawlessly. I did a good bit of research before buying this washing machine. I wanted a direct drive and not a belt driven machine so as to not have to worry about a belt wearing out. As far as the musky smell a lot of people complain about with front load machines, all you need to do is leave the door open a few inches so the moisture can evaporate and we have never had a problem. Our LG machine cleans our clothes very nicely and with the high speed spin our clothes come out with very little moisture in them.

On March 28, 2015 our LG front load machine was run on the tub clean cycle. It overfilled with water and the door seal failed. Water poured out of the machine and it just kept on filling. Water damaged several rooms in our home. We handled the emergency by shutting off the water supply. Hooking up shop vacs to the drain hose to empty the water in the machine. Shop vacs were filled many times over to clean up the floors and empty the machine. Commercial Dehumidifiers, floor dryers and fans were brought in to try and save the wood and tile floors, cabinetry and personal things. Water bubbled out of the wood floors in our new home.We contacted our retailer, Grand Appliance in Madison Wisconsin and they said they will file a claim with LG, but that LG doesnt typically cover both replacing the defective machine and repairing the damages caused. I will report back when we have something in writing from LG, but we are not happy that they havent responded yet and even more unhappy that the retailer cannot assure us the manufacturer will make this right.

Bought our LG Front Loader Steam Washer (WM2501H*A) 9 years ago. 4 years after purchase we had to have the drum replaced due to the bearings going bad. Luckily it was covered under warranty so it was free. However, its only been 4 years since the replacement and again the drum bearings are going bad and need to be replaced. I was told that with the direct drive system the bearings had a longer life than previous models. If this is true then the previous models must have only lasted 2 years! We are going to run this one into the ground, spent all that money on it and feel like I might as well get my $$s worth (and it isnt worth fixing at this time.) In May of 2009, I renovated my kitchen and bought two new appliances - an over the range microwave and a dishwasher, both LG products.Last week, on February 8, 2012, the microwave stopped heating. I called the company and after describing what happened was told that the magnetron went out. Since this is my second home, this microwave hasnt been used more than 100 times from the date of installation and I felt they should take responsibility for the repairs. I was told that the magnetron is covered but the labor is not. Then they told me to call a certain company to have it fixed. The service company said that they will order the part and when the part arrives, they will call me to have it installed. They refused to give me an estimate for the cost of labor. Eventually, after several calls, I was told it is around $220! At this point, I sent two emails to the LG company and as of today, February 15, 2012 got no reply. My other appliance, the LDF9810ST dishwasher, simply does not wash. I wash everything before putting it in and, again I wash and dry some dishes after the 3-hour cycle is done. Also, the plastic baskets are falling down or do not slide back. It is the worst dishwasher I have ever came across. When I told them about this problem I was told, Oops! You bought a floor model, and because of it ,we cant help you at all!At this point, I am angry, and I feel used and abused by a company that makes such bad products and cares so little for the customers. What a self-centered motto on their website, Life is Good! Loads are now taking 2 to 3 hours to do if I dont stand by and monitor. I have tried all the simple fixes but today was the last straw. One set of king sheets, 4 pillow cases and 2 hand towels 6 ER flags so far 2:10 minutes, switched over to just spin after machine shut down and still got 2 ER flags. I bought a top loading LG washer from Home Depot in March 2016. By October 2016 it was smelling like mold & mildew. I did everything I was suppose to: use washer cleaner in it and run cleaner cycle once a month, it continued to get worse. I contacted LG Customer Service & Tech Support in December 2016, they scheduled a repairman to come out. He put cleaner in it & ran a cycle, and confirmed the smell. I called a week later, complained again. They sent repairmen out 5 times over the next 3 months who each did the same thing and confirmed the washer stinks, at this it reeks, and each time they said it was unrepairable. But, LG would not deem it unrepairable over the phone on Tech Support with the repairman and this is the only way you can get a new washer. Two different repair services were coming out at this point and both refused LG request after multiple visits to my house. So 3.5 months later I had wasted 5 work days waiting on repairmen time windows of 5 to 6 hours to come to my house, pour cleaner in my washer (which I am a very competent, college-educated person who can pour cleaner in a washer and press a button) & then have both repair companies tell me they will no longer waste their time coming to my house. I also has a plumber come out and inspect my lines and hookups ($114.00) cost to me and tell me the smell was definitely coming from washer. Now, LG says nothing else they can do!! I was sold a lemon, had it less than six months, and started having issues. LG is the worse company I have ever dealt with. They make you jump through hoops like a circus dog and beat you down hoping you will just give up. This company needs to be held accountable for their non-actions. Please do not buy LG products!

We had bought an LG television which was our first LG purchase. Then I was at Lowe’s one day and needed a new refrigerator. We ended up purchasing the LG French door refrigerator in a little over four years ago and I loved it. It was everything I expected until the compressor went out. It took four weeks to get it fixed which was a long time. There are two ice makers. One in the door and one in the bottom drawer. We noticed that it wasn’t making ice. At first, it was still cold, but over a couple of days it stopped keeping things frozen. A couple of days after that, nothing was cold in the refrigerator.I called the number that’s inside the refrigerator and they wanted to know the details of when I purchased it and did I have proof of purchase. I’m not sure how that worked between LG and the people that came out but they had to contact a rep and she said, “We don’t have a rep in your area.” Someone else called me and scheduled. They said it would be a week. Then I called back and they said they had to reschedule because they didn’t have an LG repairman in Alabama. They were gonna have to get a certified LG repairman to come and fix it. They had me describe what the unit did. They were able to determine that it was probably the compressor and they sent the parts. About two weeks after we got the part, the LG repairman came from Georgia and fixed the refrigerator. I haven’t had any issues with it since the gentleman fixed it but I probably wouldn’t buy any LG refrigerator again.

Bought LG washer and dryer just over 6 years ago. Had no problems till today when the dryer started to thump. I am a retired millwright-machinist and have repaired washers and dryers as part of my job for years in a large hospital. I took the dryer apart to discover the drum was cracked on the welded seam. My extended warranty ran out in March. Called the Warranty Department at LG and was told they never heard of such a thing and could not help me (I did tell them that there were hundreds of similar complaints on the internet). Called the local service company and was told a service call would be about $300 plus parts. They couldnt understand I already had it apart.I called another company and was told that I could buy a new drum for $133.58 but the drum was back east and it would take several weeks to have it shipped here, so I will weld the drum for now and order it at a later date. Not happy. The washer has performed O.K. but has a funky smell if you keep the door shut. We wash and dry about 4 loads per week so its not abused. Will not buy another LG.

I have always bought LG products because they seem to last a lifetime and they look great in my kitchen. My washer and dryer are both LG and they play a little tune when my laundry is finished. I have gotten great compliments from friends and family alike on my washer and dryer. I plan to purchase a LG side by side to replace my current one as it is over 22 years old and should start giving me problems soon. But, I have not had any problems during this 22 years of service. I look forward to getting my new one.

Within a year of ownership, the rust around the bleach dispenser was terrible and just continues to get worse.

We’ve had some LG refrigerators in the past and my wife liked the looks it. She wanted to have the water and ice cube through the door that accessible ‘cause we had that on our refrigerator before. I like the French doors on the one we bought and the door within the door. We had it delivered then there was an installation issue and we had LG come out and fix it. It was just a matter of not getting the refrigerator fully plugged in 100% when they removed the door to get it through the doorway.

If you look at my original review of 10/3/19 and the companys final reply of 10/8/19 it appeared that LG intended to do nothing more than leave us holding the bag as it were. However, without further contacting us at all, LG contacted a nearby service center and sent a new door to them and arranged for our door to be replaced AT LGS EXPENSE. The service man said the old door was going to the dump, so I guess LG didnt need to trust but verify that it was a warranty issue after all. They finally decided to do the right thing. Our refrigerator again looks the way it should, but we should not have had to jump through so many hoops to get this corrected. I stand by my original review. I will not purchase LG in the future.

We purchased this product from a big box store around 2007. The ice maker failed after 4 years and flooded our kitchen. I was disappointed in LGs response, and elected to not replace the icemaker due to out of pocket cost and fear of future failure. I figured Id keep the refrigerator anyway, since it was relatively expensive. This past weekend, I went into the kitchen in the morning and smelled burning plastic. I opened the fridge only to find that the temperature control and lights had melted to the point of dropping from the ceiling of the fridge. It was hot inside the fridge to the point where the butter had melted and dripped out of the compartment and down the door. There were visible scorch/melting marks on the light compartment. I think if I had not been home this weekend, it would likely have caught fire. I think this fridge is a fire hazard, and caution anyone with this unit.Being a consumer who doesnt want to waste money, I wanted to rig the machine so that its not a total waste. I screwed the control panel back into the ceiling, and replaced the bulbs with low wattage (and low temperature) LED lights. It seems to be okay for now. I will be replacing this fridge in the near future, and will not buy another LG product.

At less than 2 year of age my LG top-load washer malfunctioned and flooded my house. According to the washer repairman their assembly was such that the washer pressure sensor hose was wrapped around an arm and the vibration caused it to come loose, resulting in the washers inability to sense the water level - so it just kept filling. Not only did LG not stand behind my nearly new washer, this machine is pure junk. I know to watch and check that hose frequently although I can say its never had another issue with the assembly correction. Problem is it just doesnt clean. The water level varies such between loads that I always stand there to make sure enough water flows in to actual get all the items wet. I realize one of the so-called features is less water usage....but seriously if they dont get wet, its hard to clean. I noticed my whites and bright colors look dingy after a few washes, so I started watch closely - this is how I discovered the water issue. I now wash my clothes 2-3 times to get them clean enough...thats sad. I HATE this LG and will never purchase another of their products.

We bought an LG refrigerator 3 years ago. It stopped cooling. The repairman said that LG would provide a compressor but would not pay for labor, which could be from $600-$1100. He suggested that we cut our losses and purchase a different brand. Neither LG nor Lowes, where we purchased the refrigerator, were concerned that we lost a refrigerator full of food and had paid a lot of money for a product that was now worthless. Lowes corporation is aware of the problems with LG but continue to sell them. When I expressed my frustration, a Lowes employee said we should have bought their warranty.

Purchased an LG refrigerator 5 years ago at a cost of approx 3000US from Brandsmart USA in South Florida. The unit was shipped to Trinidad and Tobago W.I. The compressor failed a week ago. LG boasted of a 10 yr warranty on the linear compressor. After reviewing on the internet, it would seem that LG has a major problem with this model compressor FC75LBNA. and instead of doing a recall or ensuring the problem with the compressors are fixed, they continue to sell the same compressor with the same fail issue. My local service tech who inspected the refrigerator said every other LG unit he attended to had this exact problem. (Yes there are more suckers like me here in our country who got fooled by LG) Long and short LG USA said my warranty is void because the unit was shipped out of the USA. This was not told to me by the sales rep at Brandsmart who were quite happy to take my money. So now I either throw out a 3000US unit or import a compressor and quite likely experience the same problem again.

I went and talked to the retailer who sold it to me and they told me I had to contact LG which I did. I sent pictures and never heard back from them. So I contacted them again and was told I had to pay someone to come look at the defective oven. Enamel peeling off the inside of an oven should never happen. This is defective not a problem with a part. I will also say that in the last 4 years I have purchased from LG a double oven, Very expensive refrigerator, microwave oven. Front loading washer & dryer and 2 Smart TVs. Their customer service is so unprofessional and never tried to help me. They have definitely lost this LG customer! Second load did the same thing. He came out again. He said its the pump, replaced it when the part came in. Again worked for one load and second load wont drain. Then he replaced the control board still doing the same thing. Now he says he doesnt really know whats wrong so now hes blaming the problem on our plumbing in the house. The owners manual says the cycle for Bulky/Large/Heavy duty can wash and spin 8LBS. A call to the LG service department said it could do 12-14LBS. We have washed a 6LB mattress cover with no problems. We rewashed it 3 months later and it could not spin, tried to reposition item, the drum went back and forth forever to extract water but still couldnt spin. Months later was the 3 bathroom cotton rugs, 17X24, 21X24 and 22X34 total weight 6LBS it couldnt spin. Before the 5 year extended warranty expired called for service 3 separate times.1st repairman said he had no idea what was wrong and said he would have someone else come out, that didnt happen. 2nd repairman saw the rugs put in the machine, partial wash and then try to spin, took 1 out till wouldnt spin took out another still wouldnt spin. They said they would call LG and get answers, they called back a few days later and said LG said it was one loaded and to remove two, that did not work. We were then told that LG doesnt like to repair their equipment. The 3rd repairman couldnt long enough to see if it would spin. The warranty company gave us $50.00 and said to use a commercial laundry. Very unhappy with LG products. I will not buy again. Im also not happy with extended warranties wont be purchasing those again. Just a word to the wish look at the reviews LG has a problem.

I liked my LG refrigerator when I bought it about three years ago, but its compressor went out, and I wasnt very happy with it a few weeks ago. I love the refrigerator, the way it operates as well as the shelving, and its easy to take care of. But then I noticed my freezer things were getting a little mushy soft in the freezer. A few days later, my son came over and we went through the directions on how to restart it. You pull the plug and let it rest, which we did, and we adjusted some other things. But when I got up the next morning, my whole kitchen floor was full of water. So, he said the compressor went out on it. LG then came out here and put a new compressor in. They also sent me a check for the food that I lost, which I did lose a lot. I appreciate that I didnt have to put any money out, but it was very frustrating. A refrigerator should last longer than three years.

Here I find myself reporting ANOTHER problem with our LG refrigerator that cost almost $3000. Its the three door with the freezer door on the bottom and is supposed to be wonderful because it has a linear something or other. The freezer compressor lasted just over one year. The labor warranty had expired and the compressor was covered. It still cost me $450 for the repair. Now, about one year later, the freezer has stopped working two more times with all the frozen food thawing. Curiously, after the food thaws, the motor starts working again. This happened to me again today. Fortunately, I have an old reliable Kenmore backup in the garage. I think that LG does not deserve another customer. Expect problems from them if you dare buy one. They should definitely be OOB. OUT OF BUSINESS!

I spent almost $3000 on my fridge in Jan. of 2015. Last week it slowly stopped cooling, we didnt notice at first and then last Friday I realized it was barely cold. Started checking all the food and most was bad. We hadnt been home much so I looked in the freezer for the first time in a couple of days and everything was defrosted. Had to throw away 3.5 trash bags of food. I called LG, they gave me a authorized tech to come look at it, which he did on Friday. Did the unplug thing, wait hours and nothing. He came back on Sat. to tap the system to see if Freon was leaking - we only had 25% Freon running through the fridge which could also mean the compressor is bad as well. This tech was leaving to go on vacation, I decided I couldnt wait a week for him to come back so called LG to get another techs #. Tech 2 came out yesterday and discovered Tech 1 had illegally removed the tap after performing the Freon test and Freon had been leaking out of my fridge for 4 days! He also ruined whatever it is you connect the tap too. Tech 2 said now all my hoses are contaminated and this fridge will be a nightmare to repair, he probably will even decline the job because it could possibly mean weeks of having to come back on multiple occasions to get it fixed. Tech 2 called LG while here, documented everything with their tech support, pictures, videos everything. LG has extended the warranty for us but now they want us to have a 3rd Tech come out, has to be specific one and this company cant get out until the end of next week, we have already been extremely inconvenienced without a fridge for a week and now they want us to wait another week to get the 3rd authorized tech before they will proceed??? I called Tech 2 again today and he said he doesnt understand, he was already here yesterday, he is an authorized technician for LG and he documented everything, there is nothing else for him to do. Just today alone I have logged 8 calls with LG, takes an average of 7-10 minutes just to get where you need to be. If you want to talk to a supervisor they say one will call you back in 30 mins., over an hour later Im calling them back because I have not received a call from a supervisor. At this point Im getting upset and told the supervisor I just need a new refrigerator and her response was well thats not up to you. Very dissatisfied with the runaround Im getting from LG, I bought 4 appliances from them in 2015 and will never buy another one because of their antiquated customer service system. Also, should I be contacting the EPA, is my fridge still leaking Freon but LG says thats ok and just wait another week?? At this point I have lost two days of work, probably about $400 of food and my stress level is through the roof!

Purchase Lg Range at best buy in Oct. 2013 with two year warranty. Range broke, it’s over two weeks- still waiting to be repaired. Made an appointment with LG Customer care Monday. Technician came out Thursday, claimed the parts that was sent to my house by customer care were wrong, so he ordered the part using his cell phone and he gave us time and day that he will be back Saturday same week between 11:00 am to 1:00pm. We waited and he didnt call us. We called him back after 1pm. He didnt get the part. Made another appointment with him, we said Monday morning we’re at home. We go to tampa to work from Monday afternoon and be back Wednesday night, he said available to come Tuesday. We have to work so made arrangement for him to come on Thursday. He said okay, Thursday Jan. 22, between 12:00-1:30. We waited - no calls so we called him back after 1:00. He said “I thought it was done”, we asked “did you get the parts you needed?” He said “yes”, so why he said he thought it was done if he still has the part with him. He said that we did not call LG customer service to make an appointment for him to come, I said: “You gave me a time and date that you will come out Thursday between 12:00 and 1:30pm, why do I need to call LG to make an appointment if you made an arrangement to come?” So, I called LG customer care again and spoke with RJ and advise me that I dont have to call him back because he will be sure that he will call us (Bill the technician) to call us back. Waited again - no call from him so, I called LG back again and spoke with Kyle - couldnt help me, transfer me to Willie, the supervisor, and he said that the LG policy is for the customers to call back to make an appointment AGAIN, if the technician couldnt make it again, and to make another claim to have the stove fix. And then I was transferred to LG Premier Care, spoke with Carnecsha and I told her I will file complaint and Ill call Consumer Advocate to complain. She told me I couldnt do and I told her “why not, we’ve been pushed run around, as a consumer we have rights, this is our life, we bought the warranty as we were told by sales people.” And then she transferred me to Best Buy to the Geek squad who carries the warranty that we bought, and then transferred again to LG to make another arrangement for technician to come out.

Update on 10/09/2020: This is a follow-up to the review I posted on April 5, 2020 and still has not been resolved. LG replied to have this issue repaired but due to COVID we were not going to allow a mechanic at the time to come into the house. LG has since not responded.Original Review: Like other reviewers, the same front left element of my induction range stopped heating. We are having the same problem and the range has barely been used and was purchased at the end of February 2019 but not installed and started using until May 2019. I have also tried unplugging the unit and plugging it back in but that did not help. We paid over $2,000 and the limited one-year warranty expired which is disappointing for how expensive this unit is. Very disappointed in the quality of this unit and we purchased several other LG appliances unfortunately.

It takes 90 minutes to dry an average load of clothes. An energy star product it is not. The repair guy gave us the same ** about the vent being dirty or clogged. Never was the case. Actually it sounds like the repair guy was reading off a script. The second time to the house, the repair guy stated that the dryer was operating as designed. I called LG to ask why I paid their fee and a service fee and they continued to say that the fee was dispatch, until I asked exactly what dispatch meant - setting up the appointment. We purchased a new LG French Door Refrigerator from Home Depot in May 2015. In May 2016, June 2017, and June 2019, the refrigerator has stopped working completely, resulting in a total loss of the contents of both the fridge and freezer. We are a family of 5, so we have lost a significant amount of groceries each time. I called LG customer service yesterday (6/27) and was told that they could not help me, as we had purchased a (now-expired) 3-year warranty through Home Depot. After much back and forth, the rep finally agreed to schedule a service appointment. The first available appointment is for Monday, 7/1.We will be without a refrigerator for 5 days in the middle of a Texas summer, provided the issue is fixable. However, as the same issue has already been fixed twice, Im not confident that this will be a lasting solution. We spent $2800 on a refrigerator that has completely stopped functioning 3 times in 4 years. We were also informed yesterday that we may need to pay for the repairs, if they determine it is not a warranty item. We will never buy another LG appliance again.

Pity theres not a less than 0 stars option. I do several loads of laundry a week for a family of five. The washer doesnt even wet the clothes: I mean the clothes are actually dry in the middle of the load; only the outside of a medium-sized load gets wet. I called LG. When I told the repair guy that the washer didnt get the clothes wet, he checked it and said nothings wrong, thats just how it goes. Here is the proper way to use this washer: Pretreat and load clothes. Run water in laundry room sink until hot; fill a bucket with soapy water, and pour over clothes in machine to make sure they get wet. Set washer to: cotton, pre-wash, extra high heat, highest spin speed, heavily soiled, water plus, and turn on the machine. Wait two and a half hours, and then repeat. Thats right--about two and a half hours to get a load done, five to get them more-or-less presentable. Cold is cold; tap cold--whatever that it--is cold, warm is cold, hot is cold, extra hot is actually hot.I emailed Energy Star: they said that if I have a problem with the machine I should call the manufacturer. When I explained that the machine was working to spec--that it was designed that way--they explained that they DONT TEST the Energy Star machines to make sure they do the job theyre supposed to, they rely on the manufacturer to confirm that the appliance does the job its supposed to AND meet Energy Star requirements. Somebody needs to clue in the EPA and Energy Star: if you have to wash every load twice, in blazing hot water, and replace the appliance every 3 - 5 years (typical of modern machines) youre not saving resources. Getting rid of this and getting an old-fashioned Speed Queen.

Within the first year of owning a new LG gas range, the 5-burner control knobs were breaking where the knob slides onto the shaft of the gas control mechanism. I tried repairing it myself and it worked for a while, but now they are so bad they need replacing. Why can it not be made of metal? This simple solution would solve the problem. While searching various parts replacement sites, the knobs are over $70.00 each to replace, 5 x 70 = $350.00 for knobs? Is this customer service and support after the sale? I am so disappointed in the quality of these knobs and the expense to replace them that I may replace the whole range on principle and never purchase an LG product again, of any type. What happens when I put the new knobs on and they crack and break? Another $350.00 in todays dollars for knobs? I dont think so. I have checked around and there are no replacement knobs of better quality available. LG needs to get their act together. After almost one and a half year only, now all the 5 valves and burners are bad and thank God I bought the extended warranty which is covering that problem. The only reason I bought this stove was the look and then I assumed that since it is an expensive stove, it must be good. But beware everybody, do not buy this product! I will keep on saying that until they fix my stove either by replacing it for once and for all. But at least I found a nice rep who promised to send me 5 new knobs as they have upgraded those knobs with metal inserts. Lets see if theyll work or not!

I purchased my LG front load washer 2 and 1/2 years ago from Home Depot. I did not purchase the extended warranty as I feel that if it is a good product, I should not have to. The motor is out of it already and it will cost me half of what I originally paid for the washer to have it repaired. I am very dissatisfied and would not recommend this product to anyone.

December 15 - I took delivery the LG gas range, opened it as the delivery truck was leaving (they did not install it) and I noticed the interior glass was not seated properly and had a small crack. The delivery truck had just pulled away, so sending it back at that moment wasnt an obvious option. I immediately called Home Depot, who gave me the LG customer service number. In my first call to LG, they immediately offered me a compensation check to have a repairman fix it. I agreed to this. Then LG transferred me to their parts and repair dept. The person in parts and repair said it couldnt be repaired, because it was not installed yet, even though it is just the oven door. At this point LG customer service number was closed for the day.December 16 - I called Home Depot service back first to get help. They personally called LG and had a ticket created in the LG system for replacement instead. They said in about three days I would get a call to schedule the new range delivery. December 21 - I hadnt heard from LG yet, so I called them. They said a manager there had cancelled my replacement ticket without calling me to let me know(!), because I had been issued a damages check, and I could no longer get a replacement. I explained that LG Parts and Service told me I could not have it repaired, because it wasnt installed. LG said they would send an independent technician out and they would decide whether it can be repaired without installation. December 26 - Technician is no call, no show.December 27 - Technician comes out, tells me LG will probably just issue a replacement, he has to submit a claim. He will call me in about 3 hours with an answer. I dont know what this means for the damages check they were going to issue? December 29 - I start calling the repair company back for an answer. I talk to someone there 1-2 times a day thereafter, each time they say they dont have an answer, but will in a few hours. January 5 - I give up, the appliance repair service isnt calling me back. I call LG, say I dont think a claim was ever submitted on the oven door. The notes in the system at LG now seem to indicate I was in the process of a replacement, rather than repair? NOW, three weeks later, they say a replacement *can* be done (I am not confident I will receive the damages check anyhow). I am fed up, I tell them I want that damages check at this point, so they will have to find another company to repair it.They transferred me to LG parts and service. I asked parts and service if they can simply send me a new oven door, and I will send the old door back? There are two metal clips that hold the door on, you just flip them up and slide it out, I believe its designed this way so you can take the door off to clean it. They will not let me handle this. I am given the name and number for a new repair company, and told they will be in contact with me ASAP. The new repair company hasnt contacted me yet, and isnt answering their phone right now. Both repair companies have very low ratings online, complaints through the BBB as well - though with something this simple, I dont really care - as long as they can repair it quickly. That doesnt appear to be a possibility. The LG repair and service escalated my request, which was supposed to lead to a callback from an executive team within 48 hours. They never called back.January 8 - The Twitter account for LG helps me in a direct message, which was more effective than any phone call I placed. They arranged an LG employee technician in my area to repair the oven door. The Twitter account person said it was requested the parts be pre-ordered, repair date is January 15. January 14 - I installed the oven in preparation for arrival of my new oven door parts. January 15 - The LG technician calls and says we have to reschedule because of a back injury. 1/19 was my new date he gave me... But then I asked if he pre-ordered parts. They were not pre-ordered. The technician checked stock in your system for the door glass. There is no stock available on the door glass, he doesnt know if there WILL be stock on the door glass in the near future, but he has put the order in now. He said to check back in two days for a status whether there will be glass.I made a big mistake installing the oven beforehand. I followed up with the Twitter account person, who was helpful again, but said the system indicates he has not ordered the glass yet. January 17 - The second outside repair shop, which I never was able to get ahold of, showed up at my house while no one was home, called me and said they were there to fix the range! They said LG (India call center, parts and repair) set up the appointment date and time. No one from LG called me about there being an appointment scheduled. I told them I have a factory tech already scheduled, they didnt have parts to fix it anyways.January 19 - When I check the online status, the technician still has me listed as a scheduled repair today. However, the status of the parts are still back ordered days later. How are there not parts available? 5 weeks as of today. Update: spoke to tech, parts are back ordered until at least the end of February. If the parts and service had told me this 5 weeks ago, the first time I spoke with them, I wouldve demanded a new oven. I assume I will be able to get a new oven, has not happened yet though.

I have never been more appalled and disgusted with a company and customer service in my life. Last night while doing laundry, my LG electric dryer of the last 4 year, the cord connecting in the back of the dryer caught fire and melted. Thank goodness we were home and the dryer shut off with no further damage to the house other than the wire and casing in the back of the dryer completely melting. I called the customer service line to let them know what happened and the lady sounding like she was reading from a manual telling me that I had to set up a service call which I understood. Then she tells me that I have to pay over $275 upfront for repairs before they will send anyone out. I told her that the malfunction was not my fault that there is a defect in the product and she said unfortunately unless I pay upfront they can not send anyone out. I told her to send someone out and if the repairman somehow found us at fault we would pay then, but before he came out to look at it. How do you charge someone for a repair that they havent even seen yet to know what needs to be fixed. How do you charge someone upfront for a repair that was a manufacturers defect? A defect that could have burnt my house down or worse killed my entire family had we been sleeping. For safety measures I had an electrician come out to the house the very next day to ensure it wasnt an electrical issue on my end and he even said its wasnt anything from the house end, that it was an internal issue with the dryer.

We bought a very expensive LG French door bottom freezer, with an ice maker in the door fridge. It has never worked right. The ice maker was repaired 4-5 times during warranty. The compressor failed within 4 years, and it never keeps the right temperature, constantly freezing food in the fridge. We set it at 45-47, it does 30-32. We’re throwing away lots of vegetables ruined by freezing. Even worse, when we needed repair for the compressor, under warranty, we contacted LG. Their repairman came out and said he would order the part, and then we never heard from him again. Only one local vendor would work on it. The rest said they refuse to work on LG, there’s no support in the US. NEVER BUY AN LG APPLIANCE. THEYRE ONLY GOOD FOR ELECTRONICS!!!

Almost two weeks without a refrigerator - model LFXS30726. The food in my veg. drawer was freezing but the rest of the refrigerator wasnt cooling. The temperature in the fridge. was 46 degrees. I called LG and they said they would arrange to have a tech. come. I hadnt heard from them after 4 hours so I called back. They said it would take 3-5 days to schedule an appointment. What? So I asked for a list of authorized service companies and had someone at our house the next day. It was determined that I needed a part and that I would have to defrost the entire fridge/freezer. One week later, the tech came back with a new redesigned panel, however our motor was still full of ice, so he installed the new back panel and said to let it sit unplugged for another 12 hours. We left it unplugged for a total of 60+ hours to make certain. We turned it on last night and after about two hours got an ER f error. We called LG and they told us to unplug and restart the refrig. We unplugged again and let it sit overnight. We started it up again this morning and after two hours, same error. I called LG three times this morning because I was disconnected after being put on perma-hold. I wanted them to get a service person here today, but of course, they werent able to do that. I have to wait until Monday to even get in touch with anyone to make another appointment. That will mean 3 service calls & 3 days away from work. Its incredibly frustrating for a 7-month-old refrig.

I bought a LG Refrigerator 2 years ago with the bottom freezer..About 6 months ago it started making weird noises and the ice maker went out 2 months ago..Today the whole fridge went out...I read the reviews today that go back years with the same problems..My question is, Why is LG allowed to continue to sell this faulty appliance? I paid over $1,000 for my fridge and now am forced to use my 20 year old fridge again and Im out $1,000!!!!!!!!!! How is this even legal?

My LG TROMM gas dryer I bought 2005, just burned up last night. It was a fire that started where the gas line connector is. The dryer had only been running for about 20-30 minutes. Luckily, I happened to go into the laundry room and stop it! We could have lost everything. Also, the dryer never worked very well. It took 90 minutes to dry a regular load of towels.
