I waited four months for this refrigerator to be delivered from Lowes which is ridiculous to begin with. This refrigerator is so obnoxiously noisy. The compressor runs virtually non stop with a high pitch fan noise. I called LG and complained and first the rep acknowledged that the compressor should cycle down but when I said it doesnt then he said that was normal. I held the phone up to back of frig and he couldnt hear or said he couldnt hear it so theres nothing wrong. His tone was rude. This thing is torturing us with constant noise and we had a tech out who raised the front legs and now on top of high pitched compressor noise theres a loud low vibration humming. This frig is so loud it drives everyone out of the house, out of 3 rooms adjacent to refrigerator. Now we have to call Lowes to return it and we have no back up because we had them remove the old refrigerator when this new one came. WARNING: DO NOT BUY A LG REFRIGERATOR ESPECIALLY WITH LINEAR COMPRESSION!!! Its a nightmare to try and live with.

Very sleek looking. Color (slate) is great. This is my first front load washing machine. Very handy. I love all the cycles. The quick wash is a nice feature. I like the way it really extracts the water in spin cycle. It really cuts down drying time.

My wife and I purchased an LG refrigerator (model LSXS26366S/02) two years ago and we were happy with our purchase. However, four weeks ago, the refrigerator stopped working. A service technician has attempted to repair the fridge on three occasions but has been unsuccessful. The next scheduled service call is eleven days from now (July 9th). So, we will be without a refrigerator for over a month and a half!We are completely dissatisfied with LGs lackluster response to this issue as well has the service company they sent to repair the unit. Unfortunately, I cant change service companies because I was told there are no others in my area. A service technician should repair this unit on the first visit. We are so hopeful the fourth attempt to fix this unit is successful! We have 2 adults and 2 kids in our household. Living without a refrigerator in this summer heat for such a long period of time is unbearable. Im reaching out to you with the hope you can help us. If there is anything you can do to expedite the repair of our refrigerator, we would greatly appreciate it.

I bought my refrigerator in 2017 and sure enough within 3 years it stopped working. I cant believe LG knew about the bad compressor and all the issues. If I would have known I would not have bought the whole kitchen set and washer and dryer... I called lg and was on hold for a hour and could not understand the lady I was speaking with and she was very rude. She didnt explain much so I called back and the second lady was more helpful.. I lost all my food. Not sure how long it will take to fix or if they will replace my food, not good customer service. Just not happy at all with LG. Wont be buying again..

I opened up our refrigerator door one morning and the interior had a burnt smell and the contents of the refrigerator were not cool anymore. My husband removed the plastic covering and the light bulbs. The light bulbs were extremely hot to touch. The white plastic casing above the lights bulbs were dark brown. I called LG the same morning and they will replace the burnt unit and cover the repair cost. There will be no charge to myself.

DRN #**. I have an offer for refund of the defective refrigerator but they dont answer my calls, my txts and my emails. This claim started Feb 5 2021 when my refrigerator stopped working for the second time in less than two years. 3 companies certified it could not be repaired, one of them came 6 times in the middle of a pandemia (and broke a tile in my kitchen with their equipment). 2 months without refrigerator buying ice for a cooler with small children in the house and me being diabetic without being able to follow my diet. Around 100 hours in the phone taken from my work time. I have spoken to at least 30 people from LGE.... I sent sticker with serial number, proof of purchase, address, email.... Not even one call back from LGE and always expecting an email back before 72 hours. Multiple DRNs that got cancelled without even being notified. What kind of customer support is this?

I have a 2-year-old LG Dryer. Not long after I bought it, it started catching clothing articles on the dryer filter at the front of the door. My clothes are getting ruined. The dryer will twist all the clothes together and the piece of clothing that gets caught, will stretch out or rip. I have already replaced a filter that cost $30, thinking it was a defective filter (not warranted). I know LG is aware of the problem, because when I called the manufacturer, the salesman admitted that people were having that problem. I want a refund. I will have to buy a new dryer. By the way, one of the bars inside the drum fell off. Now, I will have to call a repair man, stay at home all day to wait for him to come look at it, order a part and then when it comes in, I will have to stay home all day to wait for him to come back and fix it. I am so sick of spending my energy on this dryer.

Purchased fridge 1/1/2016. After 3 months we had to have it repaired because ice was forming on fan, they also had to evacuate the system and add freon. Took a few weeks for that repair. At 7 months old it stopped cooling (compressor went bad). Lost $250 worth of food. We had to use one of their authorized servicers due to the warranty and it took 2 weeks for a repair. Almost 3 years to the day after having replaced the compressor, it went bad again. The part is covered, labor is not. It will cost me $300+ for the repair and another $200+ for spoiled food. I should not be spending this kind of money to repair a $3000 refrigerator after only 3 years and 7 months. I have read numerous reviews and this is a very common issue. There have been several class action lawsuits and apparently LG is aware of the subpar performance of this appliance, yet still sells it.

Horrible customer service. Our new LG fridges ice maker quit working. I called to have it repaired. My appointment took 2 weeks and was between 7-9AM. I received an automated call on the morning of my appointment saying the tech would be there at 7AM. The tech called approximately 7:30AM and said hed be here in 1/2 hour. He never showed. I called again and the agent said he tried calling me 3 times and came to the house. I did not receive another call from the tech after the initial call saying he would be here in 1/2 hour. He never came to my house, my front door was open. I did not have a radio or TV on and he never came to my house. The agent said he could come back in 10 days. I asked for a supervisor and was told one would call me back in a couple of hours. Unbelievable! I am cutting up my Sears cards and will never buy anything from Sears again. I took a day off of work to be here. We are remodeling our kitchen and have to buy all new appliances and we now will not be buying them from Sears. This has been a frustrating and unprofessional experience.

We purchased our first and last LG appliance and 30 days after the one year
We purchased our first and last LG appliance and 30 days after the one year warranty had expired the fridge and freezer totally broke down. The unit was just over a year old, brand new. Well I called LG and because it was over the year they said for a tech to come out to my house would cost a lot of money and only the compressor would be covered and I would have to pay for the tech to come to the house. I contacted Direct Energy and they sent a tech with their program they have. I lost over $1,000 worth of food. I was without a fridge freezer for over 21 days.LG is very selective about their parts who they give them to, but to wait 21 days with 2 small kids and no fridge freezer its crazy. Well finally everything was fixed for 30 days and the fridge freezer broke down again and the ice maker ice melted all over the floor. Once again called a tech, I had just restocked my fridge and freezer again and lost everything. Apparently the rule bet membrane around the freezer is loose, the ice maker has to be replaced and the fridge stopped working. The unit I purchased from LG was over $3,800.00. What a wasted of money LG products are. Do not waste your money or time. We will see if it ever gets fixed.

Bought a kitchen suite of LG Black stainless appliances in July 2016. Within 2 weeks the gas stove top started to get rust pitting, we called LG, nothing they could do for cosmeticproblems. Strike One. Within one month the icemaker in the door of our refrigerator began building up ice and freezing up. We went online and were advised to check the seal and change the filter. We did, We defrosted it every week for months because water drops would form on the top of the freezer drawer and eventually drip on our brand new oak floors. Not to mention we couldnt open the door to retrieve ice. Strike Two. Well at just over a year the water dispenser decided to turn itself on and flood our kitchen, basement and ruin our floors. A call to LG yielded nothing but a recommendation for a repairman. He showed up, said it needed to be reset. He did that and said it was fixed. Before he could put his tools away and give us the bill the water dispenser again turned itself back on. He had me turn the water supply to it off, said he was going to get some parts and never came back. No bill, no word.... Gone. Well for the last 2 years we make ice with a counter top ice maker. Strike Three. Recently the black Stainless has started to peel ojf the refrigerator. It is literally black saran wrap. We have used nothing but water and a paper towel to clean it for fear of ruining the finish. Anyone else seeing a trend here. We are 2 middle aged adults, no kids around, no pets, who treat our belongings carefully. I couldnt imagine what these appliances would look like in a busy household with kids and pets. LG, worst decision we ever made. Stay away at all costs. Customer service is non existent and products are poorly made. DO NOT BUY.

The representative of the insurance company told me to wait, it completely crazy and it falls. What will you do without it if I use the self cleaning. Why pay an extended warranty? LG Why not admit that the glass has a manufacturing defect to change the door of an oven that has a defect? I have this range for only 15 months, and I used the oven only 8 times.

Well our big LG made it past its 5th birthday without a single repair, but sadly the compressor died exactly 120 days after that milestone. We bought our LFX31925ST in July 2012 from Home Depot. Looks can be deceiving... the interior had very good fit and finish and oh the size. From the first week, we would hear a loud bang every few days. I figured it was some kind of expansion valve. Ice cubes would often clump together, so it became a routine to open the ice maker door and un-clump the ice with a spoon. But for 5 years it was pretty much trouble-free. I had a commercial-grade surge protector on it from day 1. Both the freezer and refrigerator compartment stopped cooling right after Thanksgiving this year (thank God it was AFTER Thanksgiving). And just good luck my mom moved the week before and gave me her old upright freezer, thus we didnt lose much food. I removed the back panel on the LG and verified both fan and compressor were running. As it was out of 1 year labor warranty, LG would not pay for the service call to determine if the 7-year sealed system or 10-year warrantied compressor was the culprit. Spent $98 and waited a few days on a service call. Tech gets on the phone with LG and diagnosed it needs a new compressor. Compressor is under 10-year warranty, 1 month back order, but $1295 for labor is my responsibility. Geez, I should have went to refrigeration school. Tech said hes replaced so many of these LG compressors and recommended I get a new Whirlpool. He said even the replacements would fail. I like our LG fridge for its size and interior fit and finish, but to spend $1300 on a repair that will probably not last? My family members still have GE and Jenn Air fridges that are over 20 years old and not a single service call. Really disappointed. All this linear compressor and Inverter power supply technology seems to have compromised reliability. Anyone still make good old reliable refrigerators?

I bought an LG dryer two years ago. Model DLEX3570W. I have no problems with the dryer doing what its supposed to do -- dry my damn clothes. It does that job just fine. But after every load, I have to use a wet paper towel to wipe off the rubber gasket on the door because lint collects on it. This is a total pain in the butt and it isnt normal dryer behavior. So today I called the customer service number and spoke with a gentleman (very difficult to understand) who told me that this is normal and there is nothing I can do about it. Huh? Really? We bought a LG gas conventional oven (model or serial # LG LRG3095ST) from Frys on March 13 2015. We did not open the box until today march 27 2015 and found that the door of the oven got one hinge loose... that mean the door is only connected to stove by one hinge and the other side is hanging when open. And there is a big dent on the stove... We rushed back to Frys in the city of industry to exchange it or return it... but we were told they wont accept our return or exchange. The return department at frys gave us the number 1800 243 0000 to contact LG to settle the problem... so we called LG and the LG operator told us that there is nothing they can do. I felt like it is not fair to us. We paid for a brand new oven and got a defective one and no one seemed to be willing take a responsibility for that. We are stuck with a defective stove. The service was very bad. We were actually told by the manager step out of my store, the exit is that way! twice. We would like them to exchange the oven or refund my money.. Thank you very much for your kind help.

So very angry with LG refrigerator, we had bought our fridge exactly 2 years ago and all of a sudden it stop cooling. We have called LG numerous times and all they say is, We will send someone out to fix it. Well we wait for these repair companies to come and when the day gets here they reschedule. So we lost a full days of work waiting on these guys. This happened four times that they reschedule. So we call LG and they just give you the runaround. We have been out of a Refrigerator for going on 2 months. We finally got fed up and requested a new fridge. We spent 1600 dollars on this fridge and for it to go out in 2 years. I have an old fridge out back that has been working longer than I have been alive. DO NOT BUY AN LG REFRIGERATOR. They will not help you whatsoever.

OMG. What a runaround, On Jan 14 2018 the unit (LG Armoire door in door 2 year old refrigerator) was not cooling. Spoke to a rep in the Philippines. Advised would contact tech and order part. She would follow up with an authorization code, which also never happened. On Jan 18, 2018, called LG Executive Service in Alabama for an authorization code and was advised would be set up with a Sears repair company. Finally on Jan 25, 2018 the repairman came and guess what - no authorization code in the system and I would have a $700 repair for a compressor which needed to be ordered. His manager would not speak to a “customer“. Finally I called executive service at LG in Alabama again and was confirmed that it was never set up correctly. She did set it up today, Jan 25, 2018. The service tech was now able to order the parts and would call me back with a time and date for him to come back to install the parts. So, going on more than 10 days of phone calls and waiting will continue for another unacceptable time. Stay tuned! This story seems to be repeated in all the reviews. Very sad for such a large company with beautiful, expensive appliances.

Buyer Beware!! I cannot give even one star to this product, but the review requires I select one. Purchased a $2200 LG French Door refrigerator from Home Depot on 9/13/2016. Purchased an additional 3 year extended warranty as well. On 10/27/2019, my ice maker wasnt making ice. Reset the ice maker but to no avail. Freezer food began to thaw and refrigerator temperature began to rise. After multiple calls to LG, I was given two names of authorized repair centers. One doesnt service my area. The other came after 3 days, opened back of fridge and confirmed the compressor issue and closed it back up stating they wont do warranty work on LG compressors and if I found someone to do it, my cost could be very expensive. He stated that the Linear compressors are a piece of junk and if repaired, I may get one year if Im lucky. Told me to take it out back and burn it. He stated LG makes inferior products and to steer clear. Now Im out $2200 and looking for another refrigerator. I know Im walking past any LG product. There is a class action lawsuit regarding the defective compressors.

Fairly new front loader, LG wm2801hwa, opened its door mid-cycle. I had a flooded kitchen and laundry room. When it was discovered, the machine was observed to continuously flooding water out of its (then open) front door. The water valves had to be closed and the machine had to be unplugged. LG was contacted directly and a service man was sent out. The D.G. Appliance representative indicated that the machine had an assortment of problems, including the main controller. The machine even flooded the kitchen and laundry room again, as the payment for the service call was being processed, for he left the valves on after his inspection.I consider this machine new since it was purchesed about a year and a half ago. I expected LG to step up to the plate here and provide a reasonable response. The door on a front loader should never open like that. Much property damage was avoided only by luck in discovering the flood in time, and diverting the water away from wood and carpeted areas. I followed up with D.G. later that afternoon and learned that they didnt bother reporting the problem to LG. I called LG (again) and found no relief, since the machine was out of warranty.

Then I got, “Oh, you must submit this and that.” Every one of them that I could understand said, “Oh, sorry for your problem. Ill note that and that is all I can do.” As well as, “System is down today, sorry.” I requested a senior advisor or someone and never got anything but, “All I can do is note that, so sorry. Anything else I can do?The cost from the spoiled food I have had to throw out over the years is astronomical. The fact that I havent gotten seriously sick from the food is miraculous. Every time I had a little food that didnt taste right, I threw it out. There were so many times my ranch salad dressing tasted so sour, but I ate some and served it. But then I replaced it. I and my guests are lucky we werent poisoned, though I have had some minor stomach bouts. And now think I know why.I have suffered with a horrible refrigerator from LG for almost 5 years. I purchased an extended warranty (worthless) from Assurant. It has malfunctioned since day 1. I made a few calls early on and gave up...Due to personal circumstances recently (divorce and unemployment), I needed to have my refrigerator working for my future sustenance. So before the warranty ran out, I started on this ridiculous journey of trying to get it fixed. It has turned into a nightmare. LG service was great on the phone except to get an LG Tech was a week wait. They then set up a service call (work order) with this company I never heard of. That company called me and wanted model and serial number so he can order a new compressor. (What?). They haven’t even been on-site to diagnose it. I guess he has seen enough and already knows it’s the compressor. 3 days now with no fridge, loss of over $1200.00 in groceries and $14.00 per day in ice. I am on with LG now to cancel that shady company they set up appointment with. I was told maybe a week an LG tech could come on-site. Another week with no fridge for a family of 6 is completely unacceptable.

We bought a home with a new LG side-by-side refrigerator already installed. We have been in the house for 4 years and have had a service call on the refrigerator freezer at least 5 times. 1. The fan motor went bad, so the compressor shut down, causing food to defrost. 2. Water would not flow from the dispenser or to the ice maker. One of the solenoids was bad. 3. The ice cube tray that makes the ice was warped, so the water would overflow into the ice bin and freeze all the ice together. Apparently, the heater for the tray causes the tray to warp over time.4. The hose in the back that supplies water to the icemaker developed a leak and soaked our floors. This was repaired and it re-occurred multiple times. This issue is so common with LG that there is a procedure on YouTube on how to replace and repair the hose. I have owned refrigerators for 20 years with no problems. I believe LG definitely has a quality problem, so buy at your own risk.

They said $60+ each for replacements - there are 5 knobs. We decided to live with it until we could find something quality and less expensive, which we havent. Purchased product for new home in early 2015. Two and a half years later, (before the fourth of July holiday), it died. Stopped cooling. Waited for several days, since repairman came to our area once a week. But that was just the service call. After close to $1,000.00 in labor, service call and tax, one week later the repairs were made. Refrigerator worked until lo and behold two years later almost to the day, the same issues occurred. JUNE 13, 2019 to be exact. This was a Wednesday and of course the day service is available in our area is Tuesday, we waited a week for the service call and a second week for repair. Compressor and several other parts replaced again. As the repairman was getting ready to leave, the fridge DIED. He stated he knew something was really wrong with our unit and claimed it unrepairable.Enter LG. No you need to replace the heat exchanger. It is now over two weeks since this repair and still no fix for refrigerator and it is Wednesday so you can bet no resolution until AT LEAST next Tuesday if at all. Mind you we are under warranty for parts and labor which we should have been two years ago also. We will never and will advertise to all the new builds on our community website to stay away from LG Refrigerators. Spent over 2 hours on the phone with LG service and no help whatsoever. I rarely give bad reviews but my experience has not been so good dealing with LG. On 2016 I purchased a gas double oven range for $1,600.00 and also purchased a 5 year warranty with it. Well a few weeks ago my stove top kept shutting off on its own while I am using it and would make a sound as if it was about to explode to the point it shook my oven twice in the process while I was standing in front of it. It scared me, I called the Home Depot protection plan and explained to them what was happening. I filed a claim on August 6, 2020. They sent me an email stating that my service appointment has been accepted, I received a text on August 14, 2020 stating that the technician will be there between 9am/4:pm.The day that they were supposed to come we get a call from the company that was supposed to come out to fix it that they are not coming because they do not service our area and that I need to call the Home Depot protection plan back. I called them the same day and told them what I was told and they told me they would look into it and let me know once they find someone that can service my area. When they didn’t call me I decided to call, Almost two weeks went by nothing so I called again and they had the nerve to tell me that it’s showing that I canceled the job, which was a lie. I was not happy but I kept my cool and they finally found someone to service my area and told me that they would be there on August 25th, 2020 between 9am/5:pm.Once the technician arrived he looked at it and told me he had to order the part and I will get a call when they will come to replace the part. Two or three days after the technician came both of my oven stopped working so I called them and told them that and asked them if they were going to send someone out to look at it since it is a different issue, they told me no and that the parts that the technician is going to replace should fix the problem. Mind you they didn’t even know what the issue was, anyway On September 11, 2020 the technician came to replace the part, I told him, Well the oven is not working and I was told that the part you are about to replace should fix that issue. He replied, I am not quite sure if it will because I don’t know what the issue is but I will take a look at it after I install this part. Guess what? It did not fix the oven part of it so now he had to order another part. On September 18,2020 the technician came to replace the part for the oven, once he replaced it the oven was still not working, the technician told me the oven cannot be fix and that there is no parts to replace that he will go to his truck, call the office and let them know that so they can move on to the next step and he will let me know what they said. I waited inside my house and the technician never came back in. I noticed he left without letting me know what was said.I immediately called the company and they told me they will submit the report to home depot protection plan and let them know. I decided right after I got off the phone with them to call me Home Depot protection plan and let them know what I was told and they told me, Ok we will wait for them to submit it and it should take 24 to 72 hours for them to make a decision and get back to me. On September 22, 2020 I called Home Depot protection plan to find out the status. I explained the situation and I was transferred to a supervisor and I waited an hour on the phone before I finally reached a supervisor. I also explained the situation and he told me he would contact LG to escalate this for a buy out review and told me to look out for an email tomorrow.About two hours later I get a call telling us that a technician will be coming on September 23rd, 2020 to fix the oven. I was confused so I called Home Depot protection plan again to ask them what was going on and why were they sending the same company to fix something that they already deemed could not be fixed, they transferred me to a supervisor again and I waited another hour for a supervisor to come on the phone. The supervisor tells me that there was never a report sent to them stating that they could not fix the oven and that LG is sending a technician out to service my oven.It is going on almost two months going back and forth with Home Depot protection plan and LG and I am still with an oven that is not working and they have been bouncing me back and forth and I am been told something different every time I call. I operate a business from home that requires me to use my stove top and oven on the regular and not having a working oven has affected my business and my ability to cook for my 6 children and husband. This has been one of the worst experience, the range is only 4 years old. It was very expensive and it is a shame that it had gone bad in such a short time.Home Depot protection plan and LG are the absolute worst to deal with. It is unfair and very unprofessional what they are doing because when I purchase the protection plan I was told if they could not fix the product after they attempt to fix the problem they would replace the product or provide me with the money that I purchased it for to get another one. Now they are playing game and going around the bushes. I am very disappointed, unsatisfied and frustrated with both Home Depot protection plan and LG.

Almost 2 years to the day after purchasing my LG side-by-side refrigerator with bottom freezer, the freezer stopped freezing. Two LG-Certified repair people concluded it was the compressor and a $1300 repair on a machine I purchased for $1900. Really?!?!? Fortunately the part was covered, and the repair ONLY cost $600. Piece of junk.

I have been more than satisfied by the performance of this refrigerator brand, for almost 12 years now and its still working. Only this previous days when I notice that it stops performing what it intends to do. As I am an aircon technician myself, I immediately examine the unit and the only problem that I found is the PCB control needs to be replace. Thats all. The last time that I service other LG ref, I can easily bought those parts and, voila, its good as new. But now they change those policy. You cant buy the parts now. They keep on insisting that they will only do repairs, so I keep on wondering - how will they do some repairs for those minute parts of electronics in the PCB & keep the customer waiting for weeks? Are these the way they treat consumer after? So now Im considering to buy another ref. Perhaps as a consumer weve got to stick to the brand from the past for good after sales service even though the appliance is long overdue in service. Ive been with the LG service when its a GOLDSTAR brand name. Its their first brand name when they enter the market and they keep on saying that we need to satisfy & address the consumer needs & complaints for us to be known & admired by... so what now that this is one giant brand name???

The washer (model WT1201C) only used sufficient water amount to clean when set to bulky, and even then the no-agitator washer would throw the clothes off balance. This would trigger the washer to refill in an attempt to balance the load, which would then throw the clothes off balance, and this cycle would repeat ALL DAY long. I put clothes on before work at 6am and when I got home at 3 in the afternoon the washer was still continuing to fill and spin, fill and spin. I was so frustrated when LG said it was bc of gov. regulations and that all the washers did this, I finally gave up and bought a Speed Queen which works AMAZINGLY well.

Black fridge with ice machine and so spacious. I love it so very much. Like the brand is everything and so much more. LG is a life changer for many people. Best appliance company everywhere. Who knew you could love a brand so much. It never fails or disappoints. Little space would be a deal breaker for me. But all in all I love their products. Overall expectations were met.

We own a lot of LG products so when we were in the market for a new stove, we went straight to the LG section. Well my burner on my range wont turn off. I called LG and they told me my model was on recall and they were aware of the problem. The tech came out and said he had to order the part. Then after spending way too much time on hold (One guy didnt even put me on hold, he put me on mute for 20 minutes!!!), they told me my range was not on the recall list!!! So I would be responsible for the parts and labor!! I then spoke to the supervisor who basically told me there was nothing she could do. So what am I supposed to do with this defected stove... leave the burner on and burn down my house? Not only that the number they gave me for the tech was no longer in service, I had to Google the company myself and provided LG with the correct number... For that alone they should fix my stove! So I will be contacting the better business bureau ...Heres the real kicker, Im hosting Thanksgiving dinner at my house!!! LG stands for Lousy Grinches! They stole my Thanksgiving. Maybe Santa will bring me a real stove... by Maytag.

Unfortunately, the compressor broke on my LG refrigerator. I filed a claim and it took them roughly two weeks to fix it. They couldn’t send anybody out and the day that I had it scheduled, the guy cancelled on me at the last minute and said that he got the wrong part. So me, my husband, and my little baby were living out of a cooler for two weeks because no one could fix our fridge. I was super upset because it was a brand new fridge that we bought and it was four years. Eventually, they fixed it but I still feel that it doesn’t cool that great. Then they told us that we should only be keeping it 40% full, which is ridiculous because you don’t buy a fridge to only keep at 40% full or it’s not gonna work properly. But that was what the technician told us. We’ve had ongoing issues with this, too. All the little baskets that you can put the milk or sauce containers on are breaking off because the plastic is so brittle and there’s a weak point in it. The design of the plastic is not well-designed. When you spent $2,000 on a fridge, you don’t expect in four years that the containers on the door that you should be able to store things in, are gonna break off. Then the replacement is $90 and when I read all the reviews, people are saying not to even bother replacing it because it’s gonna break again. So, my husband and I decided that we’re never gonna buy an LG again.

I have had my LG front loading washer for about 2 years. It has ruined all of my white pants by staining them with gray marks. It leaves a simple line of gray up to 6 inches long various places all over my pants. In contacting the company I was told to do the tub cleaning more often. I have found that this grease collects right inside the door around the seal. I have cleaned it out regularly but alas my white pants came out ruined again. I felt that I had researched this product quite well before purchasing. I am very disappointed and feel stuck with a washer that ruins my clothes. I am not in a position to purchase another unit nor purchase more clothes. I would not recommend this brand ever.

WT7200CW - Cold Water Valve broke, still not fixed and it has been 2-1/2 months. LG forgot to send order to Appliance Company to fix. Now, company cant get part, so we are waiting on that. We are retired and do 1 load every 8 days, and it still broke after 2 months. LG customer service very inefficient and I talked with 4 to 5 different people to try and just get the warranty to fix machine. Got 2nd date for repair and Appliance Company actually received the order from LG to fix. The clerk didnt tell repairman that it was cold water valve, so he didnt come out because have to order it. That was August 24th, and it is September 14th, still waiting on part to come in.This is 3rd LG product to purchase in 9 months, and it will be the last. Customer service didnt care at all that this broke so soon and that they didnt send the order for the first fix. Bought this machine because its supposed to not get unbalanced, because of a tube around the tub. Wrong, it still does it. Our Maytag was as good, and it was 7 years old. Stay away from LG products. They do not care how their products perform.

Purchased a Front Load washer less than 3 years ago and it will not power on. Paid an electrician to come and verify that the outlet was getting power even though the same outlet powered other devices (Im thorough). Unplugged the device for a while then plugged it back in. It powered on then went right back off. Called LG support and she had me spin the drum, trip the breaker again, unplug it then plug it back up. Asked if it was purchased over a year ago and when I said yes I was pushed off to a retailer that supports their product at my own expense of course. I told her that its sad that others are having issues with the washers and that you pawn them off once the year warranty is up. The high reviews that are online need to removed or at least state the constant issues with the machine. Spending over $1000 on a washer that doesnt perform up to par and becomes useless in 2-3 years should have some type of recall for manufacturing defects!

We bought an LG top loading washing machine in July of 2014. Initially, everything seemed to be okay, but after the warranty expired, the machine started showing the ue code. We tried everything the owners manual suggested to no avail. I contacted the LG service center and was told that it would cost 224.94 for a one time repair. That would have been acceptable, except that LG wanted the payment upfront! Now, I dont know of any business that requires upfront payment, except for special orders. This is the worst washing machine ever invented! The 23-year-old Kenmore I replaced was still running and better than this. If the drum hadnt developed rust spots, I would have kept it. If you want a science project that grows mold, this is your machine. I wiped out the gasket with Clorox wipes, leave the door open when not in use and it still grows mold. My towels smell like someone urinated on them. I have had service out here and nothing is fixed. I was sold tablets to wash the drum with; did not fix the problem. This was the biggest waste of money I ever spent. I want my old Kenmore back. There is no quality any more, the dishwasher I bought from Sears is of poor quality too. I was a lifetime Sears shopper for appliances. In the 35 years I have been married, we bought all our major appliance at Sears, as did my parents. Where is the quality now?

Bought our LG French door refrigerator Sept 2017, July of 2018 our fridge stopped working. Customer service is horrible. With every call we hear that we will get an email in 3 to 5 days and that there is no one to service it in this area so it will take longer for someone to come out. We never receive the emails and have put out 3 calls to them each time we are told we are on the list. After the second week of waiting, our fridge has started cooling again and we are unsure what to make if it. Nervous to use it since we are unsure if it will stop working again and we will be out more food items. With a fridge less than 1 year old that we are still paying for we are truly frustrated! It has now been 3 weeks of waiting and still nothing. Our fridge is under the 1 year warranty but what good does that do if nobody comes to fix it! Buyer beware!

We had our washer for about 6 or 7 years. It did not clean clothes very well. About two month ago I started a load of laundry whenever our children went out to complete their outside chores (we live in the country). We still have 6 children at home, one is only 2 so he was in the house with me and our 17 year old. We heard a sound like a shotgun going off in the house. Our 17 year old and myself ran to see what it was, the washing machine literally blew up. Thankfully the children were out doing chores or someones could have been seriously injured or killed...our babies high chair was thrown across the room and nearly broke the window. LG has done nothing! I called them immediately after we cleaned up the mess and all the water. They said I wouldnt hear back from them in two days...never heard a word back from them. Will not be purchasing any LG products again!

Unresolved repair after waiting over 2 months on a new refrigerator. We contacted LG over a month ago because the ice maker on our NEW refrigerator quit working. They contacted a local tech who has changed out the ice maker 3 times and a control board at least once and still NO ICE. After a few weeks, I contacted the tech to find out what we were going to do about getting this issue resolved. I was told that he was waiting for LG to give him a direction to go. I waited another week then called back only to get a voice message telling me to contact the manufacturer. I contacted LG customer service and was told that their notes stated that the issue was resolved!!! I told them that the issue was never resolved and they told me that there was nothing they could do until the local tech updated his notes. I placed another request for an update on the LG customer service site and received a return email stating that they would contact the local repair rep and get back to me. Its been a week and still no response! I tried online chat... no response! At the time of this review, it is now almost 4 months later and still no response from LG!!!

Purchased 2 new LG dishwashers for my new home from Sears. Both failed completely after approx 16 months within 2 weeks of each other with the same problem. Sears wouldnt send a service man even though I offered to pay for the call knowing they were out of warranty. Too far out of Edmonton was the excuse!! Not too far to deliver the appliances!! Funny how that works.Anyhow both power supplies failed and were replaced with an updated version. Funny that they know the parts are faulty but wont even cover the defective parts under warranty. Both dishwashers still have lots of error codes and fail midway thru cycles more than 50% of the time. No one at LG or Sears seems to care so I guess when they die completely Ill replace them with another brand and thru a retailer other than Sears who will agree to service them in my area in writing prior to purchase. LG and Sears will never see me as a customer again and I feel ashamed that I spent over $30,000.00 with them on new appliances. Good luck to you both!! NOT!

Purchased two LG refrigerators both breaking down same way. Thought the first time was just defect; now after reading blogs and comments just poor manufacturing. On the first unit 1mth after buying, fresh food storage stopped keeping food cold and freezer stopped freezing. After 3 attempts to fix through LG, I refused a fourth try. They refused to exchange. Home Depot absorbed the loss and exchanged the refrigerator, which they didnt have to do. Now 2.5yrs later of course bought LG, like I said 1st time bad luck. Now again refrigerator not cooling, had to throw out food last night and again today and the freezer now not working, of course, warranty expired after first year, and they cant help me. Have 4 kids, can barely afford to buy food and make it last. Now Im throwing it away and cant get help. Why would a Refrigerator stop working only after 2 1/2 years? Poor manufacturing. After checking internet blogs and complaints, found out thousands of customers have had the same problems, have been reported it, and have gotten no help, have to pay out of pocket and have someone come in and diagnose the problem then order the part directly through LG. The company should be ashamed of its self for not resolving a problem like this when families buy their products because of past reputation of being reliable - $1200.00 paid and only lasted 2.5years. Now will cost me between $200.-300.00 for the repair. I will never recommend or purchase another LG product again. Thats why they only warranty their products for 1yr only. For a purchase this big and important storing food and knowing all families and people in general have the use for this item, they would have more integrity.

If I could give this washer 0 stars out of 5 I would. I bought the washer in January of 2018. I used it for about 2 weeks when it started banging and sounded like it was going to come through the floor. I called LG and they sent out a service tech to come look at it. The balance bar was broken and numerous other parts had to be replaced, and of course one was on back order. We finally got it fixed after almost 3 weeks of it being broken. Now we are in April of 2018. The washer starts to shake again & make the same noises as before, only this time I have leaking all over my floor. I call LG again to see what can be done. I talked to 3 different people, was on hold for almost 2 hours, the last person being a manager who was rude, and very unhelpful. I ended up scheduling another person to come out to diagnose the washer, of course a week and a half out. The technician comes to diagnose the washer on a Monday, I dont hear anything back from them and on Wednesday I get a text from LG saying I have a repair order for yet ANOTHER appliance repair company. I call to see what is going on and LG states that the first appliance company said the job was too big for them and their company is not able to do it (this was a company that LG hired). They hired another appliance company and again, they are more than a week out with scheduling. After talking again to LG they are not scheduled to come FIX it, but to diagnose it. This is after I talked to the first appliance repair company and having them tell me that the washer needs to be completely rebuilt and that the LG engineering department told them that there is over $500 worth of just parts. At the end of my phone call I asked to speak with someone higher up, and they stated someone would call me in 24 to 48 hours, and of course 24-48 hours later, no phone call. I am BEYOND frustrated with LG. I have been without a washer for longer than I have actually used mine. I would NEVER buy this washer again, let alone another appliance from LG. Their customer service is terrible and it has been a highly disappointing experience dealing with LG.

Even when we had it less than a year. The washing machine had OE and UE errors popping up interrupting the spin cycle continuously, requiring resetting and restarting in the spin cycle. The first tech diagnosed it needed a stator, ordered that to our house and installed it, problem continued. LG schedule second tech service company, who diagnosed, after reading bulletin stator replacement no longer done, but circuitry parts. Ordered two, parts came to house and third person came in only installed one circuit, stating I needed two separate circuits for washer and dryer. Problem continued. LG was notified and I was informed the previous appliance service technicians came from an appliance service company that they can no longer recommend. Plus since this problem has extended past the original warranty I needed to get an extension, which was done at no cost, to cover the next service person. A third appliance company, who came today and diagnosed Pipe in house will not let unit drain, gets pressure build up and no drain. Customer needs plumber. Nothing wrong with unit.” I immediately returned home and showed the tech the fault of his diagnosis by detaching the drain from the drain pipe in the house and connecting the cold water feed to the drain pipe and had it run for several minutes. THEN he said, I dont know what to tell you. Then he said my pipe was too high, so I pulled out the manual nearby and NOPE the pipe length was well within the distance in the manual. Wrong again. The machine works he said, when you dont connect it to the drain pipe, so it’s a drain problem he said. Nothing wrong with the machine when you disconnect it and let it run in a garbage barrel, he said. What are you talking about, the machine worked for like 10 or 11 months and now this problem wont go away and you are saying that the problem is not with the machine? “Oh it tries to send the water up but it can only send so much, then it figures it cant then it shuts down.” “Oh,” I said, “then it’s a sensor problem, or a computer problem.” “No there is nothing wrong with the machine, when you disconnect the pipe into a garbage barrel.” How does this continue on? “Oh, Ill have my boss give you a call, because I cant fix a problem that isnt there.” There were also suggestions to re-route my drain pipe through the basement window opening, creating a new larger pipe, but his suggestions simply met deaf ears by that time. So after he leave and here I am at the Consumer Affairs site reading all the numerous complaints and I find one service tech diagnosed a pressure switch as the problem, which under warranty I would welcome before I send this unit to the scrap heap.

The front left element of my induction range has stopped heating. The indicator light turns on, but the pot never heats up. It also doesnt recognize when a pot is NOT on the element like the other elements do. I tried unplugging the unit and plugging it back in but it didnt work. This range is over $2000 and has been in use for less than a year. Unfortunately, I purchased it barely over a year ago - a couple months before moving into my new house - which means that that warranty has just barely expired last month. I bought a whole set of LG kitchen appliances for the new house and 3 of the 4 have had problems so far (fridge compressor went out a month ago, microwave plate broke in half randomly while cooking 6 months ago).

A stove in one of our cabins had to be replaced so I put my Whirlpool glass top in the cabin and purchased a new LG Range and Microwave for my house. 3 yrs + 1 month later my glass top broke; not covered by warranty of course. So after being shipped 2 damaged tops, a new one was installed for a mere $391.55. Had been cooking on Whirlpool glasstop for years so didnt realize you had to treat an LG with kid gloves. Less than 1 year later (now), and theres nothing in hell I could have done to cause this, the electronic start button wont work - just the start button - every other one works. We all now know only certain companies can work on LGs right. So serviceman came out, assessed the situation and it was exactly how I described it to them on the phone, had to order a new panel and will come back in 2 weeks to install. Panel arrived today in an extremely large box (box couldve held 24) - no padding, just a little paper and sliding around in the box. I have no idea if its still in working order or ruined by being slammed around. The exact model number of my range is listed under a recall notice. I sent them information and was told it was NOT one of those recalled even though the numbers matched. I will NEVER purchase another LG product. What bothers me is we have at least 10 LG TVs on the property so now I can wonder what will be happening to them. I truly believe LG started out with quality products; then when sales started to boom they decided to cheapen and thought the stupid consumers wouldnt catch on...JMO.

I purchased an LG stove, refrigerator and dishwasher four years ago. I live alone and am very careful with my belongings. The stove has paint chips every place the cast iron burner sits on the stove. It looks ugly. The shelves in the refrigerator have broken rails. Really, these appliances are only four years old. I have a second refrigerator in the garage thats twenty years old and still in great condition. I paid too much money to have these items look like theyve been through the war!

LG Washing Machine Front Loading WM235OH*C - mold in unit: As the other 899 complaints, I purchased my Washer and Dryer Set 5/9/2011. From day one, the detergent dispenser had standing water and the tub would get a foul odor. I read the owner’s manual and it stated that both were common. The foul odor could be removed with a HE washing machine cleaner and it should be used monthly. It is also recommended to leave the door ajar. I also called customer service and they confirmed that both were normal. I started noticing mold spots on the detergent dispenser tray and would clean it and run an extra load of bleach through the machine. My clothes were not cleaning properly and the smell never went away. On 12.13.12, I noticed more mold spots so this time I had my husband completely take the top off the machine and remove the dispenser tray. The tray and plastic gasket that allows the detergent to flow into the machine were covered in solid black mold. I called LG immediately and offered to forward pictures. The rep I spoke to, was very empathic and stated that LG will back their product and either replace or refund the machine. She also promised that someone from the Executive Team would call me the next morning to handle this issue quickly for me. No one called me. At 3:00 pm, I finally called them back and this time my phone conversation was very different - no one was going to do anything. They could send out a repair tech but that would cost me and most likely find nothing wrong since standing water and odor is normal. They stated the mold came from not using HE detergent and not cleaning the machine. I told her, “I am not stupid, of course I followed the owner’s manual not to mention all the stickers on the machine that say only use HE detergent.” The commercials on TV indicate to only use HE detergent for HE machines and to avoid the smell from the tub, use the HE cleanser monthly. Duh. Really. If I was that stupid, I wouldn’t be calling anyone. I told them I would be more than happy to forward the pictures of the mold and articles on the health risks that black mold offers. She stated that LG would not replace, refund, or promise repair on the machine. I agree with all the other 899 people. Do not buy LG. Do not throw away money and very important - do not place your health at risk

This washing machine is now 3 years old. From the beginning my wife complained that it does not get the clothes as clean as our old machine, with agitator, did. Every time you wash a small load sooner or later the machine stops, often two or three times, because the load has become unbalanced. If you do not use extra rinse the clothes come out smelling soapy. This is the worst washing machine I have ever owned and I am pushing 70.

I have an LG refrigerator that has the known compressor issue. It failed within 3 years. Customer service was difficult to deal with. They eventually shipped part & agreed partial payment for repairs. From The LG authorized repair list given nobody would come & repair it for months ahead. I finally found a repair service available. With the consent of LG customer services I did the repair for $650. Submitted a receipt & was only reimbursed $200. Yet LG in court said “labor covered for 5 years”. Now at 5.5 years the product failed again. I spoke with customer service. They stated as an “unauthorized repair service was used all warranty is void”. Yet they knew who I was going with for the repair, have a copy of the receipt on file & previously authorized a partial labor payment. What a slippery way to get out of liability for a known product design defect. Customer services then terminated the call. If this is the treatment you want if/when your product fails, which it most likely will if it has a Linear motor, you have been warned.

We purchased an LG model lvc22520sw/01 in 2010. We loved the fridge up till about 1 year ago when it would start beeping in the middle of the night, day ... whenever. It drives us nuts. We are a 2-adult household and never leave the door open. Why wont LG address this problem? Our warranty expired and that was when the beeping started. The grill and back are clean; the floor is clean underneath. I just replaced the water filter and it still beeps. Does LG really care about the consumer? Fix this!

What is wrong with this picture, this is America, why cant we get satisfaction from a company selling faulty merchandise. Dont BUY LG, it is crap, I heard there was a class action suit, I called the attorneys office handling this and they said it was dismissed and had no further information. I purchased my refrigerator in 2017. Sometime between July 13 - 24th 2021 (I was on vacation) my refrigerators compressor failed. The refrigerator is still under factory warranty and, I have additional extended warranty. I have spent the last month since July 24th trying to get a replacement/reimbursement for my refrigerator because the service technician they sent out deemed my refrigerator a BioHazard due to the food decomp in the freezer that was kept at room temperature for the compressor fail date until we returned on the 24th.Claims has tried to force a settlement for me to take. That is more of an insult than an offer. Less than half of what was paid for it. This refrigerator was part of a class action lawsuit for the exact reason mine failed and they will not adhere to their own settlement. My opinion is to not purchase an LG. I wish I had purchased a different suite of appliances. Hindsight is always 20/20. Pray you dont have to call. I have to stay on wait to get through for 1 - 2 hours.

Ive had this LG model LMV1683SW microwave under 2 years, and Im tearing it out of my kitchen and throwing it out. First, the turntable started making this awful rumble. LG said its crumbs in the track. The track was clean, but I cleaned it anyway. Still rumbled. Then sparks and small flames started shooting out of a vent hole near one of the shelf hooks. I removed the metal shelf thinking that was the issue, but it was not. It happened again, and this time I unplugged the unit, and Im removing it from my wall. LG says their initials stand for Lifes Good. Should be Looking Grievous.

We have had this dishwasher for about 1.5 years and it was never good. Here are some of the most frustrating things that have occurred with this piece of junk.1) The bottom rack never stayed on the track from day 1. That means no one in my family of 6 can put dishes in the bottom unless you lift the bottom rack and carry it out of the dishwasher fully. Its obscene. Because the bottom never ever stayed on the track, our 4 kids have bent the outer metal frame, and now it is a pile of junk.2) The racks around the entire dishwasher never stay up or in place, we are constantly trying to manipulate these glass racks to stay in place, but they dont.3) The silverware holder is a pile of garbage, never stays put, constantly trying to get it to stick in place.4) If you fill the bottom, none of the top dishes get cleaned.5) Every other wash, we get an error message of some sort that leaves the dishwasher unusable for a couple days. With a family of 6, and kids we are trying to teach how to take care of dishes, this dishwasher is a joke. Had I known that we would pay $700+ for a pile of junk, I would have opted for a much cheaper dishwasher, as I have lived in places in my younger years with very cheap dishwashers and have not had half the issue we have had with this. I would be ashamed to market and sell this dishwasher. After not even 2 years, we are now in the market to buy another new dishwasher because this one is basically unusable. If you are considering this dishwasher, please think twice, find a different one for your home. I thought paying $700 for one would mean it should be pretty decent, it is not at all a good dishwasher. If I could rate it below a 1 star, I would.

I purchased an LG oven as a gift for my sons family in February 2013. After 6 months the oven stopped working. My son called LG and had a repair person come to the house. He had to wait over 3 weeks for the appointment, even after offering to be home at any hour. He has small children and trying to make meals for the 3 weeks was a challenge. Once the oven was repaired we all thought it was good to go. In January 2014 the same problem occurred but this time LG said they cannot get the part (after my son and his family waited another 3 weeks for an appointment). My son and I have spoken to LG and they offered to pay us back for what we paid. Of course they refuse to replace it. It is not longer an item that they make and since we got it on sale so a new LG will cost much more than what they are offering to give us. Shame on you LG. When I purchased my oven, not an LG, and it did not work properly, not only was it replace but it was replaced the next day. I will never purchase anything made by LG again. Customer service says it all and LG does not have it. From a customer of anything but LG.

Purchased model LMXC2346 on 1/2017 with extended warranty. On 8/2019 refrigerator failed due to compressor defect. Refrigerator would not stay cool resulting in food spoilage and only $130 reimbursed from LG. On Sat. 6/27/20 (during a global pandemic) woke up to water all over brand new wooden floor, hot refrigerator/freezer, this time resulting in food, insulin medication spoilage from the same compressor defect. Service technicians are inundated with similar LG compressor issues; 1st technician said would take 15 days to order/replace compressor and deal with LG warranty dept, 2nd LG technician refused ticket stating 15 customers were before me resulting in 30 day wait for replacement part. Been on the hold for avg 12 hrs with at least 10 reps resulting from vicious cycle of transfers and hang-ups. Latest was on 7/6/20 Steven (Executive Supervisor) from Executive Service Team confirmation conversation # ** who stated LG policy for alternative resolution wait time were at 4-6 weeks for someone to call me back to discuss pro-rated buyback option. Since LG was unable to find a technician within their allotted time frame of 5 days by 7/4 I now have to wait until 8/3 for someone from their Alternate Resolutions Department to discuss next steps. If this wasnt a slap in the face I am being asked to keep the defective refrigerator in my house even though I have requested the rep to get a LG technician to come and pick it up since I cannot wait to purchase a new refrigerator for my family and still store a non-working one in my house. I was told LG requires that we keep the refrigerator regardless of the amount of time it takes for them to resolve the issue and that he cannot send anyone to pick up although we are responsible for ensuring it is in our possession in case LG wants it back! In addition, I find it unfathomable that my family will have to incur the additional cost and hardship of having to purchase a new refrigerator because LG has taken ZERO accountability for their defective product and their incompetent practices and policies of having a customer wait up to 6 weeks to even discuss a pro-rated buy back since we clearly will never buy or recommend an LG product again. They are unreasonable and unwilling to work with you the Client although they are well aware that there is a Class Action lawsuit against them for this very same issue! Buyer beware... please learn from our mistake!

It appears that there is a Class Action Lawsuit about this problem but my model is one of the excluded models - Also excluded are consumers who bought LG refrigerator models of which fewer than 1,000 units were sold “or for which the service rate for No-Cooling Events was less than 1% of sales,” the settlement says.. Bought an LG refrigerator for 4 years ago. 2 months ago our refrigerator and freezer stopped working. We lost everything in the fridge and freezer. As we no longer had a warranty on it we used our American Home Shield warranty. They sent a technician out to diagnose that it was the compressor. The repairman stated there was 10 year warranty on the compressors because of problems that LG has had. Because of that he couldnt fix our refrigerator LG did not contract with them for warranty work after waiting a week for him to get there. American Home Shield then sent out Sears not to fix the problem but to diagnose it again. That was the end of week two. We then had to wait another week for the compressor to come in and for Sears to come and fix it.3 weeks without a refrigerator or freezer. Living out of A cooler. The 1st technician told us, Dont be surprised if something else goes out because your compressor has made your refrigerator work too hard as it was dying. Sears tech however denied this statement and said no. Once we fix the compressor no problem. Well its now 2 months later my fridge and freezer do not work again. Lost everything again. Took a week for American Home Shield to have Sears come out again for a recall on their original work and he is determined it is the motherboard that is bad and he cant tell if the compressor is bad because the motherboard is not working so well have to wait until the motherboard comes and he fixes it and then we might have to wait again for a new compressor. Once we fix it no problem. BS.Not happy with this LG product. I got it because of all the problems I had with my Frigidaire. Is there not a refrigerator company out there that is selling quality products. So now that Ive lost two freezer full of food two refrigerators fulls of food and living out of a ice chest for now for weeks and more to go Im not a happy camper with LG. Not to mention we go thru bags of ice at $4 a bag and have to put new bag in every other day. So at 4 weeks so far with both repairs LG has cost me $56.00 in ice and we dont even have it fixed yet.

Purchased LGs top of the line matching washer and dryer in Oct 2014. Since have had issues the last four months with OE code and repeated rinse cycles. VERY costly as I pay for water! I contacted LG and of course customer service, located in another country, cannot service the washer. They feel an almost four year old washer is well used! REALLY- washers average lifespan is 12 years on newer versions - older washers would go forever - 25 years plus! Very disgusted with LG customer service and more importantly their craftsmanship of poor quality! Pretty appliances, pleasing to the eye but purely JUNK! This company needs to step up to plate and take care of their customers. Buyer beware - one year new LG appliances that break cannot be fixed because LG discontinues the replacement parts!

Well, this is the first and LAST LG product Ill ever have. Waveforce top loader WT-5001CW. The consumer reports at the time we purchased the washer were good, but I guess only for the time they got any ink. After only three years this thing, like all the others reviewed here, throws up the UE (uneven) trouble code, and smells like a sweaty billy goat even with routine cleaning/preventative maintenance. Our clothes also have the same odor after being washed in this contraption, especially the towels. The first recall reprogramming was done shy of a year after delivery, so we never got to see it self destruct, although now I kind of wish it had because it would have at least provided some good entertainment considering how much this pos cost!! $800 for any sort of appliance that cant make it even 3 years without repairs, and cant perform the tasks it claims to = LEMON in my book. But the worst part of it all is, the company contracted to repair it is either heavily burdened with fixing these overgrown paperweights, or horribly understaffed, because theres apparently a two-week window in between each time they can get to me to diagnose and repair, with parts having to be sent from some God-forsaken dirt stain way out somewhere! Maybe I should feel fortunate that so far we havent been duped into dumping more money into this HE pit, but I shouldnt be having to take off from work for bs like this; I still lose money if I dont go to work, right?! Im firmly starting to believe that there is nothing new thats worth owning. Maybe you should too! LG should be BOYCOTTED for their transgressions against the consumers, and manufacturing should be brought back to AMERICA!

We bought all new higher end LG appliances. Dishwasher, range, refrigerator, and microwave. Fridge had a catastrophic failure at just over one year, luckily we bought the extended warranty. Then the ice maker died at about year 4. The micro broke in the first year (under warranty) and again at about year 3, (I was able to fix). The dishwashers rack rusted out at about year 2, again warranty and then the dishwasher just died at year 5 and may be too expensive to repair. The range has been problem free. The entire line of appliances appears to be inferior with regular breakdowns. Now that we are out of warranty we will replacing with different brands as things continue to die. All in all we are very dissatisfied and will never buy LG again.

Bought a set of LG products and Never AGAIN!!! I bought them both and about six months later, the washer literally burst open... from the inside out. The top portion with the lid and button flew off the machine and came back down crooked. It was a top loader. The top of the drum was facing the back of the machine. They came and replaced which took a month. One year later the new machine just stopped working while the tub was full of water. We put that one aside, thank god we planned ahead, and bought a second-hand washer and dryer. We have been using the old one since. Not worth fixing the stupid thing, now the dryer has been acting up for a year... It runs for two seconds and stops but while it stops spinning its counting down. I called LG and they stated that it was due to the coldness of my basement... It is pointless to fix these POSs. Big costs, cheap parts and worthless customer service, we will never give this company one red cent!!!

LG French Door Bottom Freezer Counter Depth Model LFC21776ST - Purchased this $2500+ refrigerator in March 2011. From the reviews, it seems we were lucky to have gone 3 years without a major issue. Our freezer stopped freezing this week and now the refrigerator has stopped altogether as well. We called our reliable appliance co. and they wouldnt touch the sealed unit for fear of voiding our manufacturers warranty of 7 years on parts. Contacted LG and were referred to Affordable Service Appliances in San Diego who were authorized reps for LG. Yelp reviews for this place were absolutely HORRIBLE but the rep came out and said we need a new compressor (in less than 60 seconds of looking at unit) and quoted $580 with LG picking up cost of parts needed. After reading all of these reviews, we are shopping for another refrigerator rather than wasting money on a short lived repair. Luckily we have ALL LG products (microwave, range & dishwasher) and are looking forward to them failing too. Buyer beware.... DO NOT BUY LG.... Remember they use to be Lucky Goldstar which was a low quality electronics company. Should have looked at reviews before purchasing a refrigerator with a linear drive compressor.

I have a LG microwave model SolarDOM. It was not working. Called the technician. Opened the oven and looked at it. Thats all he could do. He was not competent or trained to do more. Asked to take it to LG service center in Trivandrum, India. The technician in the center dropped the oven. Called me to pick up the oven. When I took it home, the front glass was again broken. They didnt say a word. I recommend not to buy LG products in Trivandrum, as there are no honest customer service centers.

I’ve owned the washer and dryer for over 9 years. Never an issue with either one. Washer and dryer performs well. Only drawback is emptying the water from the lint filter once a week. It’s low and bending over and waiting for the stinky water to drain can be a pain.

Will never ever purchase another LG appliance. Immediately, within 6 months
Will never ever purchase another LG appliance. Immediately, within 6 months, had to have the freezer door replaced because it froze up. Thankfully it was still under warranty. Within the next year.. ice maker continues to freeze up and unable to remove ice box. So sorry - not under warranty. Thankfully we were able to dislodge the ice maker and it functioned again for almost 6 months. Again - frozen/locked up and unable to remove the ice reservoir the 2nd time. Cheap products and no customer support.

Our LG fridge over here in Florida, has required 2 compressors and the ice machine does not work. The compressor they replaced stop working 5 years later. They wont replace the part they repaired and now I have to pay out of pocket and lose out on groceries for the week. The fridge was purchased in 2010. In 2015 compressor was replaced. On 2/23/20 same replaced compressor broke.I called and first person said that compressor was covered and all I would have to do is pay the tech. Called the tech. They didnt have any lg techs. They were hiring. Called back to get an updated list. None was emailed to me. Called back to speak to a manager and she said I am not covered for anything and basically she was just sorry I had to pay for everything on my own. I am stuck without a fridge and groceries that I have to throw out. She also stated the first customer service made no note of being covered for the compressor.

As technician was removing inside grille to get to fan he broke the grille. He defrosted the ice from the fan motor and replaced the grille with one he had in his truck. Set temperature for refrigerator to +34 degrees and temperature for freezer to -1 degree. He wrote up the service ticked and charged $81.98 for the “Duct Assembly, Multi (item number: **)” that he broke plus the $120 for service call plus $4.34 tax on the replacement grille part. 10-06-14 Sent Fax to a ** in the Alabama location concerning telephone conversation in which he advised LG would reimburse me for the cost of the repair part plus the tax. Fax included cover sheet, two page service ticket and copy of purchase order from hhgregg.10-22-14 Called service center and after a 20 minute hold to verify my status, was advised that I should hear from Alabama around November 3rd. 07-10-15 Around 4:52 PM Eastern Time, called service center and advised them that freezer was not freezing (temperature was 62 degrees and rising) and that all food in freezer had spoiled. Furthermore, the refrigerator temperature was almost 70 degrees and food had spoiled. Additionally the unit was making a loud motor noise in the rear of the unit. After trying to explain the issue over and over again I requested to speak to a supervisor. I was placed on hold for 38 minutes and 26 seconds until I disconnected the call from my cell phone, but not before I had called the service center again from my house phone. It was only after I explained everything again that I was informed that the executive staff (supervisors) department closed at 5:00 PM and that I could not run the “Smart Diagnostic” over the telephone because all of the service technicians in their department had also gone at 5:00 PM, that I would have to call back tomorrow on 7-11-15. The service center advised me that the service warranty had expired and any service call would be $120.00 plus parts. This was mentioned on three different times during the call. I did manage to schedule an appointment for a technician to come to the house on Monday, 7-13-15 between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Total time on the telephone service call was 58 minutes and 44 seconds.7-11-15 Called the service center again and had to explain everything that I explained twice the night before. After requesting to run the “Smart Diagnostic” I was placed on hold then performed the diagnostic. After a delay they informed me that the diagnostic did not come through and we had to do it again. Once that went through I asked what it showed and was told that they did not know, that someone from the technical staff had to review it. They told me that they could schedule a technician to come out to the house on Tuesday afternoon on 7-/14/15 but there would be a $120.00 service call charge plus the cost of any parts. I then asked to speak to a supervisor and they asked me what that was about. Finally after going back and forth with them I was placed on hold for about 12 minutes before a supervisor identified as ** came on the line. She asked what the problem was and then placed me on hold while she brought up my file on her computer. That took another 5 plus minutes. Finally after explaining everything to her about the previous night and current call she placed a one-time extended warranty on the unit and gave me an authorization number of: **. She advised that she could get a technician out on Tuesday afternoon 7/14/15 and when I told her that I had one already scheduled for 7/13/15 she confirmed it. This call was then terminated after 58 minutes and 11 seconds.7-13-15 Contacted by service technician at 3:12 PM who advised that he would be arriving in about 20 minutes. He asked what I thought was wrong with the unit and I replied that I thought that the compressor had gone bad. I explained the temperature readings and the noise it was making. He stated that if it was in fact a bad compressor that he could not fix it today as he did not have one with him and would have to order one. He arrived at 3:38 PM, removed the lower back grill panel to access the compressor and noticed a lot of dust on the evaporator coils. I asked him if I was supposed to remove the rear access grille to try and clean the coils and he advised against it stating that it could damage the vanes on the coils. He went back out to his truck to get his gauges and checked the compressor which he determined was bad. He advised that he was fully booked for tomorrow, Tuesday, 7/14/15 but would press his schedule and plug me in on the end of the day. He departed at 4:04 PM advising that he would call when he was on his way out to replace the compressor. 7-14-15 Around 1:23 PM service technician ** called to advise he was on his way. Compressor delivered via FEDEX this afternoon and left at the garage door. Technician arrived at 1:30 PM, completed compressor swap and departed at 3:30 PM.06-04-16 Noticed that items inside the refrigerator were not as cold and normal that that on several occasions milk and dairy products were spoiling before the “Best if Used By” dates. The inside temperature of unit felt cool and not cold. Placed thermometer inside the refrigerator portion of the unit and began taking readings. Also noticed that freezer unit was not as cold as it should be also. Placed thermometer inside the freezer unit and began taking readings as well. Temperature settings on the panel are set the same as the technician left them on his last visit on 7/14/15. Refrigerator set to 34 degrees and freezer set to -1 degrees.06-05-16 At 9:00 AM took temperature readings. Refrigerator was showing 48 degrees on a dial-type thermometer and freezer showing 5 degrees on a digital thermometer. 06-05-16 At 3:00 PM took temperature readings. Refrigerator was showing 50 degrees on a dial-type digital thermometer and freezer showing 8 degrees on a digital thermometer. 06-05-16 At 9:30 PM took temperature readings. Refrigerator was showing 46 degrees on a dial-type dial-type digital thermometer and freezer showing 7 degrees on a digital thermometer. 06-06-16 At 10:00 AM took temperature readings. Refrigerator was showing 48 degrees on a dial-type digital thermometer and freezer showing 8 degrees on a digital thermometer.06-06-16 At 11:32 AM called LG toll free number (800-243-0000) received recording and sent link for self-diagnostic. Performed self-diagnostic as per link and advised to contact LG repair at (866-558-2559). Refrigerator was showing 50 degrees on a dial-type digital thermometer and freezer showing 6 degrees on a digital thermometer.06-06-16 At 12:10 PM called LG toll free number and automated system advised they would call back within the next two hours. At 12:15 PM was connected to a Customer Service Rep in the Philippines. I requested several times to be connected to an American Customer Service Rep in the United States but was told three times that there were no US representative at their location. After my fourth attempt I was placed on hold. At 12:18 PM the Philippine rep came back on the line and advised that they did not have a US contact number. I requested to speak to a supervisor and when queried as to why I explained that I wanted to speak to a US rep and that her service center should have a number. She put me on hold again. At 12:21 PM she came back on the line to advise she will transfer me to a supervisor. At 12:27 transferred to ** in the Alabama office. After trying to explain my issues with her she placed me on hold several times explaining they are using new software programs and have glitches. She is trying to plug in the extended warranty on the unit. She returned on the line to advise that she had scheduled the technician ** to come out between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM under Authorization Number **. She further advised that this authorization included the service call plus parts and labor. ** also provided a direct number to the Alabama Service Center at **. The telephone contact was terminated after 50 minutes and 47 seconds at 1:00 PM.06-07-16 At 11:15 AM received call from Service Tech who advised that he would be out within the next 15 – 30 minutes. He arrived at 11:35 and performed a refrigeration pressure check on the system. He stated that it appeared there is a leak at one of the coil joints where the copper joins the aluminum. He indicated that the High Side pressure dropped 30 psi with no movement on the Low Side and that indicates a leak somewhere in the system. He further stated that much drop could indicate only a ½ charge or less of coolant presently in the system. He explained that there was a company issue with ordering parts to have them overnighted to the customer. Lately the parts have been shipped to him which delays service. He stated that the parts he needs will be overnighted to me and should be here NLT 10:30 AM tomorrow, Wednesday, June 8th. He has scheduled an appointment for Thursday at 1:00 PM just to be safe and at present he only has one appointment for tomorrow. If I receive the parts tomorrow morning I am to give him a call and he will work me into his Wednesday schedule. He indicated that the job would take several hours to complete (Of note: He asked me if I was removing the rear access panel to blow out dust and vacuum the coil area. I told him that on 7-13-15 I asked him if I was supposed to remove the rear access grille to try and clean the coils and he advised against it stating that it could damage the vanes on the coils. He told me that he did not say that, that he highly recommends the customer remove the rear access grille and try to blow out the dust and debris, then vacuum the debris up, just being careful not to get near the vanes or coils.). After placing the order for the parts to be shipped/overnighted here he departed at 12:05PM.06-08-16 At unknown time, received call from Service Technician to advise that the FedEx tracking indicated that the parts he had ordered had arrived. I confirmed that and he indicated that he would be arriving sometime around 11:00 AM. He had ordered both a refrigerator coil and the freezer coil which had arrived and be commenced disassembling the inside of the refrigerator to swap out the refrigerator coil which he felt had a small leak on one of the connections. After steaming ice off of the end or the coil he replaced it with the new one. He then checked the pressurization on the lines and said that he was satisfied with the as it did not appear there were any leaks. After checking other things in the unit he packed up and departed advising that he would check back to see how the unit was performing.06-09-16 At 8:52 AM received a call from Service Technician, who was checking on the performance of the unit. I advised him that it did not appear to be cooling as he had predicted, that the freezer was in the teens and the refrigerator in the lower 40’s. He advised me to keep a check on it and he would schedule me for the first of the week. 06-12-16 At 3:14 PM received a call on answering machine from Service Technician who advised that he has me scheduled for Tuesday, 6-13-16 between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.06-13-16 At 2:07 PM received a call from Service Tech who advised he would be here within the next 10 - 15 minutes to check on the unit again. He arrived at approximately 2:25 PM and proceeded to first blow out the dust that had accumulated under the unit and on the coils which was minimal. He then began to test the system refrigerant and determined that it was not up to capacity. He then vacuumed the lines and added some additional Freon. He advised that it appeared that there was a little water in the line which he was able to purge. He indicated that the unit should work fine at this point with the cooling in the refrigerator set to 34 degrees and the freezer set to 0 degrees. I told him that I would continue to take temperature readings in both the refrigerator and freezer and if I noticed them not performing I would call him and let him know. After about 1 ½ hours of work he departed.06-14-16 At 8:53 AM received a call from Service Technician asking how the unit was performing. I texted him back at 11:39 AM advising that the refrigerator was at 37 degrees and the freezer was at 9 degrees. At 12:15 PM Service Technician called again to advise that he had mistakenly had a parts order sent to our house and wanted to know if was OK for him to come by and pick it up. I advised that it was not a problem. He asked about the refrigerator and I advised him that I would continue to monitor the temperatures several times during the day and evening for the next few days to see if the system performs as expected and would advise him of results. He advised that he will continue to check up on it and would be calling periodically. On 05-24-17 we returned home from an extended vacation to discover that the ice maker was not producing ice. Door was dispensing water but there was no ice in the door-side ice maker and therefore nothing to dispense. On 06-05-17 At 12:18 PM I contacted the Executive Offices in Alabama at ** to explain the issue I was having with the ice maker not working. The person I spoke with, whose name I failed to get, advised me that she would give me the number of the local service center to schedule an appointment for a technician to come out and diagnose the problem. There would be charges for the technician to come out, charges for the diagnostic, charges for parts and labor since the unit was past its one year warranty and had already been given a one- time courtesy and she was not going to issue another one. I was basically out of luck but could get it fixed through the technician with service call charges plus parts and labor. While the service technician was very personable and professional, that is the only thing good I can say about me experience with this company. The technician even told me on several occasions during his visits that the parts i.e. compressors, etc were inferior and the technicians were having all kinds of problems with them. With the experience that I have had in dealing with this company, I doubt that I will every purchase anything else with the LG label.

Bought this machine in 2011 from Conns. We never had a problem, but the only thing was where the bleach dispenser it started rusting and I would just clean it. I did buy warranty, but before it expired I called to tell them about the rust. Conns said that is a manufacture problem, they only repair. So I didnt renew it. Now the tub makes horrible noise when washing rinsing. And clothes comes out soggy. I called LG yesterday, I thought maybe they could do the Smart Diagnostic and let me know what machine needs. They said if they did the diagnostic it would mess up the machine?? For them to send a Tech out it will cost $414 with one year maintenance or $302 for 60 day warranty. So disappointed, I might as well go buy a new one.

I bought my LG refrigerator in December of 2016 and it’s only October of 2018 less than 2 years and the front of my refrigerator is leaking an acid type of stuff and all LG said was that I needed to pay for it out of my pocket because they only give a 1 year warranty. I told them if it was from wear and tear I could see that but this could be VERY HARMFUL to have an acid type of substance coming out of my refrigerator. So I would not under any circumstances buy this product. Model LSXS26366S / 02.

I Purchased my LG refrigerator in February 2015. The coolant leaked out of their lines & everything in my refrigerator was ruined. It is 75° inside the refrigerator. I called repair person. He said this is a very common problem with LG refrigerators. It is under a seven-year warranty for your sealed system but you have to pay $375 service fee for labor. Plus there’s at least a week wait for factory service tech to come to your house. They are very poorly made.

Nacretia was very helpful. She reached out to me via phone and provided me with the resolution that was being offered from LG. (Which did not completely fulfill what I wanted given the money we invested in this product and the trouble, time involved with getting it resolved.) The offer was fair enough for me to accept to be done with this ordeal. I do appreciate LG getting back in touch with me, offering the resolution, and following through with everything in the offer quickly. In the future, if LG finds a resolution to the linear compressor issues we might consider trying LG products again, but until then I cant recommend the refrigerators based off my experience.

Do not buy an LG washer. We bought a high end LG front load washer and dry
Do not buy an LG washer. We bought a high end LG front load washer and dryer in December 2009. We were getting LE Error Codes after about 2 years. The washer fills up and would not drain. We did troubleshoot the washer according to the manual but it didnt solve the problem. We even tried to find a repair man in Calgary but none of them worked on LG washers.Trail Appliances, where we bought the unit, is going to charge $90 for a serviceman to come out. Then $85 per hour to assess the problem. This is before we even pay for the repair! It will be cheaper to just replace the unit than repair it.Avoid LG if you want to avoid headaches and costly repairs.

The stove sensors were broken from time received and never fully repaired. The oven overheats and the temperature is not accurate. The refrigerator’s water to ice maker cracked and flooded the kitchen. They dont make replacements because “they dont break”. The shelves are flimsy and cracks easily. The dishwasher’s motherboard fried after 1 year, and they refused any compensation.
