I’ve had to have a repair guy 4 times on my LG refrigerator and it’s been the compressor every time. It’s not capable of keeping ice cream and it will freeze and cool good one time and not the next! I’ve been informed by a few servicemen that this is a common problem with the LG compressors and that Id probably have trouble again and again??!! I have had it with LG! I have had LG tv’s for 20 years and LOVE them!

During the summer of 2010, my wife and I made a decision to remodel the kit
During the summer of 2010, my wife and I made a decision to remodel the kitchen after having extension plumbing work done to our home. As part of that, we wanted new appliance and bought the LG refrigerator because it was the size we need to fill the space. A couple of years after we purchased it, it stopped cooling. I called LG and a customer service person told me to unplug it for at least six hours and plug it back in. I did and that seemed to fix the problem. It also had some type of water leak with the ice maker that would allow a large sheet of ice to build up to the point in the bottom the door would no longer close. I was able to remove it without much difficulty, but this happened continuously until the water line to the unit froze and burst and I turned off the line completely. In August of 2015, our refrigerator quit cooling and we contacted the company to see if it was still under warranty and we were told the compressor and sealed system was covered for seven years. This is a parts only warranty. They gave me the name of four repair companies and I contacted the one closest to me. The first tech looked at it and said they would have to send someone else out. I paid him for the call $75 and he left. The next tech came a few days later and quoted me a price of $275 to replace the compressor and the evaporator, but told me LG refrigerators had a history of leaking in the tubing in the walls and if that was in fact the problem, it could not be fixed. He told me to contact LG and begin the process of getting the parts. This began a two month struggle of phone calls back and forth between myself, LG and the repairman. No matter who I called, they said I needed to talk to the other one. The repairman eventually stopped taking my calls and after weeks of trying to get help, an LG customer service representative told me he informed the company he would no longer work on their products, a lie on someones part because he fixed my boss refrigerator a few weeks after that. They told me to contact another person on the list, so I went to the next closest person to my town, who refused to touch it because someone else had already looked at it. It was October 27 before LG was able to get A&E to get a repairman out. They told me I would not have to pay for the call because of the inconvenience it had created. He replaced the dryer in the back and the next day, I was once again able to put food back into it.Around December 14, my wife noticed the refrigerator was again not cooling. I contacted LG and they contact A&E, who couldnt get anyone out until January 12. The repairman didnt show up on the 12th and when I called, they didnt have the appointment in the system. They rescheduled for the next week. When the repair technician arrived, he called his supervisor to say it looked like the wrong type of dryer (dye dryers help them diagnose where leaks may be) had been put on the unit. They suggested he hook a freon tank to the unit and heat it with a welding torch and listen for the leak. He didnt hear anything and suggested replacing the compressor and evaporator. He was told not to do anything to the unit because they wanted another technician to come out and look at the unit to try and find the leak. (The company never noted any of this in their system and the tech says he doesnt remember the call.) He apologized to me and told me he felt the leak was in the walls of the refrigerator and couldnt be fixed. A few days later, two techs arrived at the house and my frustration level had reached a boiling point. He asked me what had happened with the previous visit, I told him and he called his supervisor. That was when we found out no notes were taken on the previous call. He then suggested replacing the compressor and evaporator and I took my frustration out on him.He was the tech who came in October and defended the fact he put in the right evaporator. He said if there was no visible sign of a leak during the last visit, then the leak was in the walls of the unit and could not be fixed. He advised me to call LG and felt they needed to honor their warranty, which I did. The customer service representative said they couldnt do anything until the tech filed his report. She never gave me any impression the problem might not fall under their warranty. I left the tech a message and he talked to a supervisor who said they would come out and replace the compressor and evaporator, but it would be the last visit made to my home on this issue. He told me to call LG and get the compressor and evaporator shipped to my home. I did and they promptly connected me to A&E to set up the service call. (I never received the replacement parts.)When the tech arrived a few days later, he called a supervisor and they told him to hook up the sealed system and check gauge readings. There was talk about a blockage in the lines. After several minutes, the tech disconnected the gauges, the call ended and he told me if the line was blocked it was in the walls of the unit and was not repairable. At this point, I contacted LG and was connected to the executive services office in Huntsville, Alabama. I spoke with a woman there who was pleasant at first, but then informed me the lines in the wall are not part of the sealed system. I told her there was no way to repair them because they were literally sealed in the wall. She then proceeded to tell me it was my fault for not reading the warranty information on the unit completely. I have owned LG Cell phones and other electronic products and was always pleased with how they worked. As a home appliance company, they are terrible. I paid more than two-weeks pay to buy this refrigerator. My last refrigerator I paid $350 for and it lasted nearly 15 years. If LG is the only company to make refrigerators in the future, I will search antique stores and look for an old fashioned ice chest and become friends with the ice man before I put another one of their products in my home.

We bought our LG in 2007 and had repairs on it 4 times in the first year. We replaced the icemaker, duct, fan, PC board, heater sheath, controller assembly, and had them resealed (it had duct tape to help seal!). We contacted Home Depot who said if it failed again, then they would work with us on replacing the fridge. We bought an extended warranty and of course, never had to use it. Then last month, the ice dispenser stopped dispensing ice...we took out the bucket and a nut fell out...looks like we need a new ice bucket assembly. After reading all the other problems, I decided to add my complaint about the LG refrigerator. Dont buy it.

I also bought a pair of LG appliances (washer and dryer). What a mistake, to say the least. I cannot even find service for these appliances in my area, due to the low quality of this product. It takes 3 cycles of 1:10 minutes to dry a normal load of clothes. I have to add vinegar to a load of sweats, to help with the smell. That is on top of a fabric softener. My towels also smell horrible, after washing and drying. My units are less tan 5 years old, and I have wasted over $2,000 on these low performance items. My life Is not good with these LG appliances.

I purchased a top load LG washer. I purchased the extended warranty for a total of 3 years. After 3 years and 2 months started having problems. The washer would be out of balance on every use. The only thing I could do is unplug and start over every load. Finally started doing some research online and found my model had two known problems. The balancing rods are not strong enough and circuit board problems. Paid over $700 for the washer. When I called LG even though it is a known production and design problem caused by them, they said I would have to pay for a service call and parts. DO NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING LG.

I like LG's consumer reviews and the looks of their products, particularly the dual ice makers and the nice LED lighting. However, the compressor went out in the first three years. That was why I had the compressor redone. I had to get the purchase agreement from the place that I bought it from, sent it over, and they came out and took care of it. The experience was amazing. My 3 yr old LG fridge compressor stopped working. It is the linear compressor and when the technician came to repair the fridge he stated the compressor needs to be replaced with an updated model. This did not fix the fridge. The 2nd attempt was a different company that stated the first repair was wrong and replaced the compressor and lower evaporator. This still didnt fix the fridge. The first tech returned and stated the lower evaporator was installed incorrectly and attempted a repair with little confidence it would work. I have contacted LG and they refuse to replace or fix the fridge at this point because I cannot find the receipt. I contacted the location I purchased it and I am unable to get a copy of the receipt. At this point the $3800 fridge is just a large paperweight that will cost me to recycle. LG has horrible customer service and refuses to honor their warranty and back their service techs work. I would not recommend buying LG and will not make another LG purchase again.

This was the number one rated range on several different websites so I thought Id found a winner. Ive had nothing but problems since the day this was delivered and the worst part is that LG has the WORST customer service department I have ever had to deal with. A recent chat representative even wrote that she will go one step a time for me reading from the manual. I have a masters degree in nursing, I can read directions! The stove comes set up for natural gas and it took 2 technicians almost 2 hours to get this set up and installed. Cost me an additional $320 and yes, these were experienced technicians from a reputable company, but very little is known about this model. First issue was that the ultraheat burner would not ignite and had a flare up issue when it did. I had to get approval from LG for a service call and again, even the company of their choice knew very little about this stove. He had to call LG for help from there who talked him through the repair. The upper oven was burning just about everything I tried to bake so I asked him to check that. The oven was set at 350 and his professional digital external thermometer was reading 425 degrees AFTER the preheat cycle and took forever to come anywhere near 350 degrees. The instructions tell you how to adjust the oven temps, but the (+) does not appear on the digital display, as stated in the manual, so you have no idea if the adjustments your making are even effective! After burning lots and lots of food, I finally got the oven to semi work. I put a high quality thermometer in the oven and it was all over the place 300-425 degrees during the baking cycle. Now lets talk about the lower oven. From day one there was a terrible odor which I was told was just from it being new. Again, it burned just about everything I put in so I started playing with the adjustment feature. It got to a point where some rolls were golden brown on top, but the bottoms were barely done, but at least they werent burnt! Not to mention that this thing sounds like you have a jet engine running in your kitchen! Now, heres the real kicker. This morning I opened the lower oven to move the rack and the entire inside was black, covered in soot (see photo of rag I used to wipe just the bottom). I tried to call LG but they refused to let me speak to the technical department to see if this was normal for a new oven or if I needed yet another service call. I was told this department only speaks to other technicians. I called Lowes and this piece of junk will be on its way back to the store later this week. Thank heaven I purchased it from Lowes, at least someone stands behind the products they sell.

LG Gas stove - bought this year - I just walked into the kitchen and smelled gas. This is the fourth time this has happened. I didnt use the stove today, so someone must have accidentally brushed against the stove and slightly turned the knob. There is no safety apparatus to alert you to the knob turning or that gas is leaking (stove doesnt automatically light). I cant believe in this day and age that this appliance passed any safety inspections. Thank goodness I dont have any small children, Id get this stove out of the house immediately. As it is, I frequently go into the kitchen just to verify that none of the stove knobs are turned, I am now paranoid we are going to blow up...

I see other people have this issue too!! I have never in all my life seen a washing machine get rust like this. Not to mention there was a recall on it with a Do Not Sell order attached that I was never informed about. I feel they should either take the machine back and replace or refund our money!!! I am waiting on a response after sending pictures and a proof of purchase to them via email. Do not buy an LG washer. We bought a high end LG front load washer and dryer in December 2009. We were getting LE Error Codes after about 2 years. The washer fills up and would not drain. We did troubleshoot the washer according to the manual but it didnt solve the problem. We even tried to find a repair man in Calgary but none of them worked on LG washers.Trail Appliances, where we bought the unit, is going to charge $90 for a serviceman to come out. Then $85 per hour to assess the problem. This is before we even pay for the repair! It will be cheaper to just replace the unit than repair it.Avoid LG if you want to avoid headaches and costly repairs.

Bought a beautiful black stainless steel LG refrigerator for around $3500.0
Bought a beautiful black stainless steel LG refrigerator for around $3500.00 two years ago. I researched for six months before purchasing. I wanted the best I could afford since it has a pretty important job. I have a child with severe allergies so I needed a big fridge for her special food. We finally decided to get the biggest and best on the market. I read bad reviews on Samsung and good ones on LG. Now just two years later I join the millions of other dissatisfied LG customers who had their compressor completely go out and ruin food worth hundreds. To wait for an LG repairman is going to take weeks since there is only one and he, not surprisingly, is booked with other crappily made LG products. I got a refrigerator repairman to diagnose it yesterday, which I had to pay more fifty dollars more since it was a weekend. He told me that he sees nearly new LG refrigerator compressors go out often. He said that he put in a second new compressor in one month for his customer last week and the customer got him to help him haul his 3 year old LG refrigerator to the DUMP. We all need to start a class action lawsuit against LG since they are selling shoddy products and not standing behind them.

I waited four months for this refrigerator to be delivered from Lowes which is ridiculous to begin with. This refrigerator is so obnoxiously noisy. The compressor runs virtually non stop with a high pitch fan noise. I called LG and complained and first the rep acknowledged that the compressor should cycle down but when I said it doesnt then he said that was normal. I held the phone up to back of frig and he couldnt hear or said he couldnt hear it so theres nothing wrong. His tone was rude. This thing is torturing us with constant noise and we had a tech out who raised the front legs and now on top of high pitched compressor noise theres a loud low vibration humming. This frig is so loud it drives everyone out of the house, out of 3 rooms adjacent to refrigerator. Now we have to call Lowes to return it and we have no back up because we had them remove the old refrigerator when this new one came. WARNING: DO NOT BUY A LG REFRIGERATOR ESPECIALLY WITH LINEAR COMPRESSION!!! Its a nightmare to try and live with.

I have purchased LG front load inverter direct drive 7.5 kg 6 motion washing machine. Although it was quite expensive for me but sales man succeeded to give me belief that it is the best model. After finishing warranty period that is 2 years and after exactly 2 years and 8-9 months machine is giving error. We had register complaint then 4 to 5 times their different technicians came telling various problem. And at last they found but spare parts are so costly so I will not suggest this w.m. for ordinary people who cant afford this regular maintenance of around 2000. If small part is also damage you have to take whole unit e.g. PCB harness for one part of filter PCB. It is really not affordable. Company should provide those small parts instead of insisting customer to buy whole units.

I have an LG refrigerator with model # LRSC26923SW that is about 5 years old. The so-called purified water line dispenses water that tastes strongly of mold. It is undrinkable and it assumed a health hazard. The filters have been changed on a regular basis and the water line has been used daily until the taste problem occurred.I have tried changing filters and flushing the line but to no avail. LG referred me to an authorized repair service, and I was told that it was a poorly designed system, and I would need to replace the entire door at a huge expense that is not covered by the warranty. In addition to the ice maker going out after 1 year and having to be replaced, I also had major problems with my LG washing machine. I will never buy one of their appliances again.

We bought our LG fridge (model # LBC22520SW /03) new back in 2011 (it was on back-order at the time, because apparently many others were duped into purchasing this piece of junk). It is now one year old. I never knew an appliance could simultaneously be so cheap and yet so expensive. The first time I had to call the repairman was three months after the purchase (he didnt even call me back until two days later; by that time, I had fixed the stupid thing myself). The problem, ironically, is that the freezer fan cannot operate under cold conditions. We cant use our ice maker or it will make the fan freeze over, which in turn makes the freezer and fridge stop working. But it doesnt stop there! If we fill our freezer 1/4 full with food, it makes the freezer too cold and the fan will freeze over, and again the fridge stops working. But wait, theres more ... Weve now lowered the freezer temperature to its lowest setting, but apparently thats still too cold for this cheap fan to handle. Thawing the fan with boiling water has now become an activity that we must do twice daily. Weve lost hundreds of dollars worth of food, not to mention the overpriced cost of the fridge to begin with. Do yourself a favor and dont buy an LG fridge!

Im a professional mechanic and electronics tech. I just had to replace a relay and two corroded microswitches due to poor design of the icemaker hatch. Weak return springs prevent a tight seal when not in use, allowing moisture from ice melt to drip down past the hatch and, as evidenced by mineral scale, into the chamber containing the relay board, front panel control board, and the in-door ice and water lever microswitches (!). Observed heavy corrosion on electronic parts and fasteners inside, as well as around the front seal where it meets the metallic enclosure. The front seal, intended to prevent moisture intrusion from the exterior of the unit, instead prevents moisture introduced by the ice chute from escaping the chamber. This oversight exposes control boards and electronic parts and connectors to sustained high-humidity environment (!). Control boards inside are not potted (no resin/silicone/thermoplastic encapsulation) and there are no rubber seals on electrical connectors contained within. ICs, pads, and components on the front panel control board show corrosion and, in my opinion, are not long for the world. Ive added a desiccant pack inside the chamber and a bead of silicone sealant under the defective icemaker hatch behind the front bezel to mitigate the design oversight and hopefully extend the life of my investment. Rust at the bottom of the front control panel may be an indicator of the problem described above on your unit.Additionally, the linear compressor used in this fridge is currently the focus of a class action lawsuit (which I am not party to). LG asserted that these units can have up to a 20 year lifespan (avg of 14 years) but have had a significant portion of units fail starting around the 3-year mark. My compressor is still functioning for now but Ive purchased a 3rd party wireless temperature monitoring panel with sensors for both compartments to mitigate the risk of foodborne illness associated with a failing compressor. This appliance is at best, a very poor investment. At worst, it is a hazard to my wife and children. Moisture intrusion behind the front panel presents a reliability problem, a mold hazard, and a fire hazard due to the line voltage connections within. The poor design choices make it clear that the engineers involved with the project had some serious deficiencies in failure mode analysis, fail-safe design, and keeping with good engineering principals. Ive experienced similar design oversights involving moisture control with other LG products Ive owned and maintained (LG window unit AC, LG Waveforce washer and dryer) and will never purchase another LG appliance. Longevity is important to me, but does not seem to be a priority for LG. My wife thinks it looks pretty in our kitchen, so theres that I suppose. Hopefully the compressor fails and I can get this stylish lemon out of here soon..

Also the tines on bottom rack are so close that front part bottom rack is unusable and top rack doesnt hold glasses well, had several glasses break. Bad design all around, bottom rack is very low to floor. I would never buy an LG dishwasher.

Purchased washer in October. Has leaked since day one. Have tried to get it repaired or replaced numerous times and it still has not been done! No one wants to have water running on their floor every time they do the laundry. I purchased this washer from Lowes but was told to contact LG for service. Someone needs to step up to the plate to fix this issue!

I have had four repairmen come out to work on this refrigerator. It has had a new computer board and compressor installed---and STILL does not cool like a refrigerator should. After the most recent install of those components, the LED light stopped working in the refrigerator. I started to look for the part to replace it--but did a diagnostic test on the refrigerator. Sure enough, the light came on again? A day later, the light went off. Did another diagnostic reset, and the light works again. Long story short, this refrigerator has become a nuisance. It is supposed to be a NEWER refrigerator that simply WORKS. It is supposed to keep your food cold. It is supposed to not be a hassle. LG has a long way to go when it comes to making a solid nuts and bolts refrigerator. If you buy an LG refrigerator, be sure to have a second one on hand in case your food spoils.

I purchased the LG french door fridge in the summer of 2016. Since then, the compressor stopped functioning after 2 years. I spoke with LG and they were no help and had to pay to service people to figure it out. This past month weve had an awful smell in our kitchen whose source could not be identified. It was only yesterday we figured out it was emanating from the fridge. We checked online for similar complaints and found someone who located it at the back of the fridge. We had to remove the lower panel and clean out these trays filled with thick yellow residue. The trays do not come out so we had to use chopsticks and an entire pack of clothes to clean it out... This is unacceptable to us and we are at a loss as to what to do with this fridge. STAY CLEAR OF THIS FRIDGE!!!

Refrigerator started making horrible noise on July 3, 2016. Model LMX25964 purchased Nov. 22, 2010. Woke up July 4 no ice and all freezer contents thawing out. Could not call for any help until Tuesday July 5, technician came out on July 7 to tell me my French doors refrigerator had a seal system problem was under warranty and he was not an LG-certified technician. By the way while checking out the refrigerator he did tell me the LG is one of the worst refrigerators, all plastic and lots of mechanical problems, that is why he would not become an authorized LG technician.Called LG, got someone I could not even understand, finally got a certified technician phone number called and he comes tomorrow, he will probably need to order parts so thats more to time. Customer service stinks as well as the refrigerator. I will never ever buy an LG item again. I did lose all my food, around 250.00 and the company acted like I was out of my mind for asking. The supervisor said our warranty ran out after 12 months. I advised her that the problem that caused my problem was under warranty and she flat out said, We do not reimburse. I hate them.

We also purchased LG washer/dryer, high end stainless steel. Washer is ok but we have experienced same problems as many others. The dryer LG Tromm DLE3777W never dried clothes correctly. It takes 90 minutes to dry an average load of clothes. An energy star product it is not. The repair guy gave us the same ** about the vent being dirty or clogged. Never was the case. Actually sounds like the repair guy was reading off a script. The second time to the house, the repair guy stated that the dryer was operating as designed. The real problem is that Home Depot is selling this stuff. Home Depots reps are promoting this stuff and LG doesnt stand behind their product. Two options: contact the Better Business Bureau in your state (they are usually really good) and the second option is contact your state Attorney General. LG is selling a defective product and that, in every state, is fraud.

Purchased a highly rated LG refrigerator in 2011 with a 10 year warranty on the compressor. 8 years to the day, the compressor died. Compressor is under warranty, but other parts & labor are my expense. When the repairman went to install the replacement compressor sent from LG he found it was not the same. In fact it was very different. LG Parts dept said it was compatible & should work. The repairman, who has 30 + years experience, told us that the refrigerator would need rewiring & even then there was no guarantee it would work. He estimated his labor time to be 4 hours. Further discussion with LG brought no other resolution. Bottom line, they do not have the compressor for older models. They could have offered to put the labor under warranty but they did not. Their final word was that someone on their end (from the parts dept) would instruct the repairman how to install the compressor. We know this repairman for over 20 years. He is very honest & very good. He said trying to install the compressor sent, as is would be a fire hazard. His recommendation is to save our money on the labor cost & put it to a new refrigerator. NOT LG. Another comment: I had little choice in 2011 when I went to buy a refrigerator the size I wanted. The bottom freezer was the style. I hate it for many reasons. You cant put boxes in without them jamming; even ice cream containers. I freeze meat & chicken in air tight bags in order to fit more in. I am now looking for a top freezer instead.

I called 2 services and both of them will not even come out to work on it. I had another man come out today and said I need a mother board and he told me they no longer make them??? He said it could be the Thermistor and the part cost $40. Funny, I went online and the cost is $7.00. I have taken the machine apart myself and I am willing to put in my own thermistor but I cannot locate it or find someone at LG to help me. I have been told its in the front which I cannot reach and also told its on the top??? No one will even guarantee they can fix it. LG wants $125 just to come out and service it and there is no guarantee they will fix it. Never again will I purchase a LG.

Had nothing but problems from this machine, and with the service provided. Pump broke after 3 months, took 6 weeks to get someone over to fix it. Said they had no service in my area. Took 3 weeks to make an appointment, said computer would not accept, and to call back later. Finally talked to a service man on the phone, told him that I thought it was the pump, he said he thought so to. Shows up next day, yep it’s the pump. (Why not bring one with you)! Got to order one. Be back next week. Pump took 2 weeks to get here. Then another week to get them out to fix it. (Somewhere in the process. I went out and bought a cheaper washer, just to please the wife). The old pump had a straight pin in it, shut it down. Ok, now, after having the washer for over a year, the washer will never just wash the cloths, it stops with a UE error about every time. Took the wife 8 hrs to wash 1 load the other day. Got my service man on the way to try to fix this problem. Let you know how it turns out.

I purchased a brand new house not even a year ago. I was beyond excited that NEW LG appliances will be included with the house. Little did I know. My first issue was that the ice machine did not make ice. Next my refrigerator started defrosting all my food in the freezer component. Thankfully I had a full warranty. I was wrong, no one in Customer Service nor executive services wanted to help. They pretty much left me to deal with this issue alone, 4 technicians later my fridge is still not fixed. LG DLEC855R dryer - front loading - freestanding - 24 - wild cherry red stopped working all of sudden. Called LG service department to schedule an appointment for repair. They said $125 to come in to give estimate. The technician showed up, did nothing and gave an estimate of $1528 plus tax. He wrote down on paper and excuse me if I am spelling wrong. Tub assembly beaming $856.00. PCB/Main - $422.00. Labor - $250.00. Total cost with tax is $1628.00. I should have trusted the reviews and purchased new dryer rather setting up the appointment to lose $125.00. Luckily I realized after seeing the reviews and didnt go for service. I am purchasing new dryer with cost of $750.00 which includes tax, delivery and installation. The bottom line is dont buy LG products and no local service company will fix it either. When looking for a new stove the salespeople at Lowes raved about LG. We looked for reviews and they were all positive. I bought this stove in September 2017. It has multiple times turned the gas on with no flame. The knob must have been bumped. The last time the gas had run so long that we had to open windows and doors for hours in the winter to get rid of the smell. Im afraid that my family is going to die from carbon monoxide poisoning! How can this not be recalled by the government must less LG themselves. Are they waiting for someone to die in a fire or from poisoning??? I am SOOO disappointed with my LG experience. We have a refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, washer and dryer. We have had problems with ALL of them, but the worst with the fridge and oven. We even have trouble with our LG Tv and Blu-ray player! I thought we made a smart decision with choosing LG 7 years ago, because they were the latest technology and trend. My best friend had bought all LG the year before and was happy with it. But then the problems start (even with her). I have way too much to say if I speak of all the products, so I will focus on the fridge. The fridge stopped cooling with no warning whatsoever when it was 4 years old. We had to scramble to get a couple coolers with ice to save all our groceries.I called LG but they wanted to charge an outrageous amount just for the service call, about $80 and they said that doesnt include fixing it. So if their estimate would be too high and I would want to go with someone else, they still get $80. So I called a local company who specializes in LG. Their service fee was only $25. They came out and said it was either the compressor or a relay. If it is the compressor, it would be about $800, which is half the price of my $1600 fridge. Thankfully it was the relay, which was $125. But they can only guarantee the part for one year. Worst of all, they didnt have the part on hand and had to order it. We lived with no fridge, out of a cooler, for 3 weeks!Sure enough, 2 years later, same thing happens right when we return from vacation. Thank God it didnt happen while we were away! So once again, everything is melting and we have to scramble to save the food. This time they put a stronger relay, so it was $150, plus the $25 service fee, and they happened to have it, so the silver lining was we only lived out of a cooler for two days. But the tech said the compressor is extremely weak and I am lucky if I get another year or two max out of the fridge before it dies. At that point the fridge was only 6 and a half years old!! I simply dont have the energy to fight with LG because of all the bad reviews I see on the customer service. So I want to warn all the consumers out there to prevent this from happening to them. Choose another brand. On a side note, my stove/oven stopped working 6 weeks after the fridge went out the first time. Great timing lol. The digital panel stopped working after the numbers started fading months before. Well, because its digital, you cant turn anything on. I wish I still had the old school one with the knobs because the digital panel cost $250! Thats half the price of the oven. And of course only one year guarantee on the part. Thankfully, its been almost three years and so far so good. But if it happens again, I dont want to invest that much again into this piece of junk. How can LG be okay with doing business this way?! And of course this stuff happens once its out of warranty. We live paycheck to paycheck, so when this stuff happens, it really hurts us. We thought investing in high end products would pay off in the end, but we worked hard to pay off over $5,000 over a few years and got screwed :-(. I did not get extended warranties because I believe if the company makes good products I shouldnt need to. What happened to products lasting?? I sound like my mother lol but they really dont make things with pride, like they used to. Her 20 year old fridge is still going strong! If LG sees this, they should offer me some kind of credit out of good faith, but I have low expectations. At least I can warn the innocent consumers who work hard for their money.

Purchased the largest 110v LG Window Air Conditioner at Home Depot on January 9th 2013. On May 26th the Unit started freezing up. Contacted LG, it took 16 days to get a technician out to diagnose, then 4 days to wait for a new Condenser. 2 weeks later the unit froze up again. Called LG whom sent out the same Technician the next day and he stated it was low on refrigerant. This is a sealed unit that was ice cold on the day of the first repair, but he stated it was not fully charged, so he charged it. Three weeks later the unit froze again. LG stated they would send the same Technician the next day for a third attempt, and that if it could not be resolved they would then replace the unit. I was told the appointment time would be between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. but after having left work early my wife waited there all day for nothing. The technician never called or showed. At 6:05 p.m. I called LG who stated not to worry he would be there some time that night. At 8:15 he showed up. I was there for this visit. I am a 30 year GM Technician and hold both ASE, Robin Aire, IMACA and GM A/C certifications. I watched the technician hook a gauge to the unit and the readings with the unit on was 60psi on the low side. They do not use a high side. The needle never waivered, yet the evaporator was frozen as were the lines leading toward the compressor. He claimed that the evaporator must be clogged. I replied it had been professionally cleaned the first time it froze up in May even though it was only 5 months old. He was adamant the unit could not breathe, so we took the unit outside and with a flashlight removed the evaporator and flushed the unit with a hose and found no debris, no mold, no dirt, nothing restricting the cooling fins. The water was clear and went straight through front to back and top to bottom. This stumped and confused the technician who claimed he did not know what was wrong. We reinstalled the unit and turned it back on and watched it start to freeze again the exact same way. I stated that where the freeze point ended had to be the point of an internal restriction debris, etc. and he stated that it must be a free floating internal restriction but had no idea how to fix it. So he wrote a note saying the system was fully charged and cleaned and he found nothing wrong. I was left with an A/C unit that still does not cool and freezes up. I called LG today, they had previously told me that after three repair attempts they would replace the unit. However today, they stated they would send a different technician who could give a different opinion, then they would consider replacing the unit. I was extremely upset and was beside myself with anger. First I was lied to about the time of the appointment, then I was lied to about third time repair attempt and they would replace my unit. Now I am expected to lose more time at work to be there for another repair attempt when they have failed in the last three to make a repair. There must be another way to resolve this short of buying another unit. I have a three year replacement plan with Home Depot but it does not start until after the year is up and that is still 4 months away, and in the heat of Florida I will not last 4 months with out A/C. This is unacceptable and should not be the way a company treats their customers. I will never buy another LG product and will pursue this until I get some type of resolution, I am just not sure what or when that may be.

One has yet to call me back. I called a reputable but non-LG-authorized repair service who said it would cost $1,200 for a new compressor and I would have to deal with LG myself (I think to buy the compressor). Given the reviews about back ordered parts, and lack of authorized techs, Im left to wonder how long I wait for the other technician to call me back, argue in vain with LG or just buy a new refrigerator. Very open to joining a class action lawsuit. I certainly dont make enough money to replace expensive items every two years. Reading up on refrigerators, old fashioned top freezer refrigerators are a whole lot cheaper and fail less often.

LG Tromm Washing Machine (Model WM2455H) - I constantly get some sort of sludge from this machine on my clothes even though I regularly clean the filter out at the bottom of the machine. The machine always smells like sewer water and/ or moldy. It has been this way for the entire 6 years I have owned the machine. I have never experienced this with any other machine. I hate it!

Purchased LG LFXS29626 refrigerator in mid-2015, the people at Home Depot were swamped with calls today. “It’s been like this for 4 months” she said. The Samsung and LG fridges made from 2013-2016 are all failing at an alarming rate, and any retailer that carried these disasters are feeling the backlash. The compressor on mine failed at 3yrs and 2 days exactly. I had purchased a 3 yr warranty, which including the 1 year from the manufacturer but doesn’t mean 4 years total. It’s still 3 yrs total. The first line of customer service with Home Depot refused to help with anything, but as most of us have done recently, we had to escalate to her supervisor. Credit where credit is due, Sup honored the extra few days and bailed us out of an $1,100.00 repair.Your mileage may vary but my compressor (the “New” Linear Compressor, guaranteed to last at least 2 years) failed along with the start switch block and a micro leak somewhere in their new closed-loop Freon system. But here’s where the issues started piling up: there’s no compressors in stock anywhere in the US. They’ve been failing at such an alarming rate they can’t be found. And to make matters worse there is no evidence whatsoever that LG’s engineering team has made any changes to the awful design of this piece. Their materials are pitifully weak and often just pot metal, their quality control/fit is ridiculously sloppy, and their whole concept of parts design is a disaster. My neighbor has one, purchased in January of 2015. His failed around last Christmas so we were biting our nails wondering when ours was going to let go. You can set your watch to it. We have 7 people in the family, and nobody is geared up to help us. The failures are just too chaotic. Home Depot has a 10 cu. Ft. loaner (a very small 3’ college dorm size), but it stays lent out due to the recent crises. I threatened to just buy another large fridge, this time one that would last like a Whirlpool - then return it. But they’re wise to that one. The new policy for fridge returns is 48 hours. Same for Lowe’s, Best Buy etc. After all, why should HD have to pay and compensate customers for sloppy Chinese imports that we keep gobbling up at a fever pitch?A call to LG revealed there’s nothing they can do for me even if case is escalated, so it’s living out of a cooler chest for the next 3 weeks. The service tech that came to the house noted that it would indeed fail again. He was working 10 calls that day, and 7 were either Samsung or LG refrigerators. And all of those were the compressor. He knew what my problem was before he walked in, but verified it anyhow to make it official. He and I discussed the “good” fridges for future reference: 1) Whirlpool (said he rarely has issues with those), 2) Some Kitchen Aids (watch out because LG makes some of those) and 3) Kenmore (watch out again because sometimes Samsung makes certain models). 4-**) SubZero and all the high-end units, but they still fail through the complexity of design. He’s been doing this for 7 years, so he knows. But we Americans are such suckers for flashy stuff. Like $7,000.00 internet refrigerators, a 20” LED color display, LED lighting with 4 doors, 2 icemakers, shiny black finish, two freezer doors, doors within doors for the fridge portion, stereo speakers, cameras inside the fridge to see what’s inside while you’re at the store with the cell phone app. And we love to impress our friends with a huge shiny expensive fridge. The kind that are designed to break in 3 year cycles. We rotated food to an old Kenmore circa 1982 that’s still running like a champ since we bought it 40 years ago. Not too big but it helped. Shelves are broken and doors squeak, but it still gets ice cold. No people, they don’t make them like they used to. And certainly no one cares one way or the other. It’s like buying a Mercedes; you’ll get little sympathy from anyone when it breaks down on the interstate. Especially the dealer. I’ve heard more ramblings of a class action against LG and Samsung of late than any time before. I’d keep your eyes peeled.

My washer thinks it is out of balance when it is not. It does not post codes to indicate it is out of balance. It just keeps adding water and setting back the time. It does not get up to speed on the final spin. We did sprat diagnosis and all they said was that it does not get up to speed. The authorized technician verified that the machine was not out of balance, but could not find the problem. When he put so parts back together it worked, but he could not say why. It worked for 4 loads and then we had the same problem. The machine is only 2 1/2 yrs. old. I am not happy.

After 20 months my LG fridge with an inverter linear compressor failed. LG customer service is terrible, as I have to wait 7 days for a tech to look at the fridge to determine the failure.... it’s the compressor... No cooling in both freezer and fridge compartments, all fans are running. I’m one of many unsatisfied customers! Had I known the reliability of the inverter compressor was this low I would have purchased the fridge! I hope there are some lawyers out there with similar failure of their fridge and consider a class action law suit against LG Electronics. The inverter compress design is faulty and all customers should be given the choice of having it fixed (only to fail again in 18 months) or a total refund of our purchase. STAY AWAY FROM LG INVERTER COMPRESSORS OR LG!

We purchased a new LG French Door Refrigerator from Home Depot in May 2015.
We purchased a new LG French Door Refrigerator from Home Depot in May 2015. In May 2016, June 2017, and June 2019, the refrigerator has stopped working completely, resulting in a total loss of the contents of both the fridge and freezer. We are a family of 5, so we have lost a significant amount of groceries each time. I called LG customer service yesterday (6/27) and was told that they could not help me, as we had purchased a (now-expired) 3-year warranty through Home Depot. After much back and forth, the rep finally agreed to schedule a service appointment. The first available appointment is for Monday, 7/1.We will be without a refrigerator for 5 days in the middle of a Texas summer, provided the issue is fixable. However, as the same issue has already been fixed twice, Im not confident that this will be a lasting solution. We spent $2800 on a refrigerator that has completely stopped functioning 3 times in 4 years. We were also informed yesterday that we may need to pay for the repairs, if they determine it is not a warranty item. We will never buy another LG appliance again.

Bought my LG REFRIGERATOR on November 18th, 2015. Right away it had a noise coming from it. The first of December 2018, woke up to a puddle of water in front of the refrigerator. Opened the door and the freezer was warm. Called LG, they sent a technician out, he had to replace the compressor and the circuit board, waited 1 week for parts to come in. Technician came and replace the parts. 2 days later, something happened AGAIN, waiting for another week for him to come out (because he was busy doing other repairs), he added Freon, that lasted for 2 days, then the day before Christmas eve 2018, he came out and put more Freon in it. The Technician CANT FIND THE PROBLEM. Now, its December 29th 2018, still not fixed. We been on the phone with LG for the last 4 weeks. All they keep saying is that they will send the repair guy out. Now mind you, I had to throw out over 500.00 worth of food in the beginning. They are going to refund us a check for 150.00 and the Technician already got paid for the job, 250.00. Hes been out 3 times so far, each time for at least 4-5 each time. All LG WANTS TO IS KEEP TRYING TO FIX IT. It seems to me with all of these problems that all of us consumers are having, that they would just replace them... Im still without a refrigerator and have 2 little kids. THEY DONT CARE. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER LG REFRIGERATOR. FROM NORTHEAST OHIO.

Lg has a reputable service and quality and that is why I picked it as a brand for my fridge and Im looking to get other products with LG brand because I trust it. It is big and provides a lot of room for sodas and other tall containers. I have plenty of room to hold food and not worry about the food falling or busting on other containers. It also has plenty of room for fruits and vegetables. I would like to improve the way the refrigerator is divided among the shelfs inside, even though its roomy but it could use better build up because we need support there.

Our just under 3 year old $2700 LG French Door fridge stopped cooling. This one was the type with only the door ice maker that has always sucked and only made enough ice for one large glass a day. LG sent out a tech for $275 (I had to pay in advance) that did nothing and said the coils were dirty and needed to be cleaned and left. I cleaned them and it still is not working. I also did the over the phone diagnostic with the India call center (customer disservice) which was completely useless. I will be doing a dispute on my credit card for the BS service call and hope I can get a real tech to fix it. I also have the 10 year warranty sticker on my door, total scam. Bought Sears Kenmore Model 795*77319600 (During troubleshooting I discovered this unit was made by LG for Sears!) in Oct 2007. Sequence of failure(s): 1st) Nov 2007 Upper freezer drawer basket rail bracket tabs crack - I used nylon zip ties to hold basket in place. 2nd) Apr 2008: Lower freezer drawer bin divider cracked at top edge. - Lived with defect, hoping it would hold. Repaired crack by splicing it with a plastic reinforcement plate in Aug 2014. 3rd) June 2010: Refrigerator lights fail, no plastic melted, nor food spoilage - I researched and found numerous similar customer complaints and LG recommended fix. I removed light cover lens, and both light bulbs, and used fridge w/o light! 4th) July 2014: Freezer no longer makes ice, progressively temperature gets warmer, then refrigerator starts to stay warm - Decided not to involve Sears Customer Service for repair, but rather do it myself. $1200 fridge/freezer should not die @ 7 years! I did some research, found a similar model service manual online, did some troubleshooting of the cooling/freezing system - sensor(s), and defrost timer. Found R134a to be too low. Fixed it myself for $35. Maybe I can get 7 more years @ $5 per year out of this LG piece of junk! I sympathize with my fellow Americans. Consumer trust has declined due to cheap poorly designed products... Whats the reason? Greed, Lack of Pride, Lack of Accountability. Make junk so we can buy more sooner? What would our ancestors think?

This stainless steel dishwasher is only 2 1/2 years old and must be replaced. I have struggled with dirty glasses and dishes the entire time. The washer sweats after cycle finishes and leaves a gritty film and smell. The inside has developed a nasty clouded surface that must be wiped out with each use. The rinse aid helps only a little and I have also used vinegar and CLR to clean it out. Nothing works. A repairman ($75) said the arms were hopeless clogged and recommended buying a new washer. This one cost over $750!!!

After several calls to LG customer service (first call answered from Philippines) without answers. Today I call LG parts. They transfer me to east coast parts authorized store (NOT LG) and they gave me the 12-31-16 date. When I ask why take too long she said because the refrigerator is old and they do not stock parts from discontinued models. Sears sold 750 of this failing fans. That means they have a quality problem with the product and should have stock to resolve the inconvenience. Recommendation STAY AWAY FROM LG PRODUCTS.

Bought this in 2014. Had never washed worth a darn. I paid over $900 on this piece of junk. The fact that I have to start out on the bulky setting till it fills up, then turn it off, restarting it on power cleanse to get the clothes to move around makes it not so energy efficient! If not used in this manner, the lack of water causes the clothing to rub against each other causing pilling of the material. Doesnt clean properly either. You have to pre treat, and wash 4 times to get any kind of stain out. Im buying a new machine this year and it wont be an LG. What a waste of hard earned money! Im so frustrated!

Received letter in May 2013 about recall of LG washer that I purchased about 18 months previously. Called the number listed and set up appointment for replacement of motherboard. That is when the problems started. There were numerous problems and it involved many calls to the company. Six months and eight technician visits later I finally got through to a company supervisor who agreed to replace the recalled machine. Delivered on November 27th, 2014. The very first time I used it the machine shut down completely while full of water. Put cycle on drain and spin and it solved that problem. In the following four months there have been a number of other problems including very low water fill, even for smaller loads. Extremely frustrating because I have to keep pressing the button for extra water and it only puts in a small amount. After the fourth press, it fills to the very top which is too much water. There is no happy medium. Also, there is a button for warm water but it always fills with cold water. As with all the other complaints I have read, there is also a balance problem with this machine. I have placed several calls to the supervisor I spoke with in November but they have been ignored. The machine that I had before the LG was a Maytag and I used it hard (we were a family of three children and three adults) and it went strong for 23 years. The only replacement on it was a belt. If my calls to the company are not returned, I intend to fill out a complaint with the BBB.

They are currently under a class action lawsuit for front load washers with this same issue for those that were purchased between 2000-2006 but since mine was purchased 2012 it doesnt apply. Our dryer failed during a run, and would not power back on. I checked the circuit breaker and the plug, and unable to restart the unit, I placed a service request with LG. Over the past month I have experienced nothing but frustration and disappointment from LG customer service. I have been given inaccurate information, been repeatedly told to expect a call back or email about service status, but the only communication I have had with LG is when I have initiated contact. Please note that because I have two children, one of whom is still out of school because of the pandemic, the only times I can call when the 800 number is operating is on W and F when I am commuting to/from onsite days at my job. Below is a detailed timeline of my experience:Th 4/15. Dryer breaks during run. Test fuse, power line, reset per manufacturer’s instructions. Fr 4/16. Submit ticket through LG website describing problem. Sa 4/17. Receive email response from website instructing me to do the troubleshooting I had already completed prior to submitting ticket to website. Call LG 800 number to request repair. Told that I would hear back within 24-48h about getting an LG service technician. Tu 4/20. Call LG because I received no call back. Am informed that they could not find a local technician, and my request was being escalated to the regional services team. Fr 4/23. Call LG for a status update. Rep informs me that they have 5 business days to find local authorized technician, but that if they cannot within 5 days, I can get a replacement authorization. W 4/28. Call LG again, to request replacement authorization. Am told I need to wait an additional 48h for update.F 4/30. Call for status update. Rep tells me that information I received on 4/23 about replacement is incorrect, and that regional services is still looking for repair. Request transfer to executive services. Call gets cutoff partway through. Attempt to call back, but service line is closed for the day. Particularly disappointed that the executive services person I was speaking with did not call me back, because the first thing he asked for was my phone number, in case we got disconnected.W 5/5. Call LG; request immediate transfer to executive services. Rep curtly informs me that they have hundreds of thousands of technicians, just none in our area. Furthermore, that LG has 30 days from my initial call to locate repair services, so I am not yet entitled to a replacement dryer. However, she does provide me with contact info for an authorized service provider in American Canyon. I contact said service provider, Linet Electronics. Technician at Linet tells me that yes, they do service our model of dryer, and they do service our town (35 miles away), and yes he does have availability. He advises against booking him directly for warranty repairs, because then I will need to work request reimbursement from LG for the repair.W 5/12. Call LG; request they contract with Linet Electronics to service our dryer. I provide phone number, but the rep insists that I need to provide email and postal address, too. They should have this information, since I got the phone number from their authorized service system, which is infuriating. I call back once I have the email and post address. The new rep calls Linet, but Linet wants an extra $225 to do the service call, and so LG will not authorize service (this strikes me as absurd, since replacing the unit outright, or providing me a refund, will undoubtedly cost more than the service call with a surcharge). I am told that regional service has 2 chances to find someone in our area before we qualify for replacement, but apparently hasn’t done anything since my first escalation on 4/20 (15 business days ago). Rep promises that I will get a call back within 24-48h about warranty replacement. I tell him I am highly doubtful about that, since I have not received any updates, by phone or email, at any point so far. That my only contact with LG has been contact that I initiated. Th 5/13. Much to my surprise, Jacob, the rep I spoke with on 5/12, calls me back to let me know there has been no action on my replacement request yet. He promises to call me back in 24h. F 5/14. No call back from Jacob. Monday will be 30 days since my dryer broke. Back in about June of 2017 my husband and I purchased a new stove, dishwasher, refrigerator and microwave. As of today, August 14th, 2020, we have had to purchase a new dishwasher, which we waited about 6 months for the so-called part to come in, which ultimately did not fix the problem. By that time we were so fed up with LG, we said forget and purchased a different brand. Next is our stove, ha! The stainless steel has scratches and the black flat top is terrible looking, oh and the self cleaner is a joke! On to the refrigerator. We have had a technician out 5 times to troubleshoot the ice maker. Today, realized the compressor is now bad and are waiting for a new one to come in. Lastly, the microwave lights stopped working almost immediately. We thought at first it was some kind of energy saver since they would go off and on periodically. Unfortunately, it was yet another defect in our LG bundle of crap. We will NEVER purchase LG products again.

We bought our LG fridge LMXS30776S 2 Door, 2 Drawer POS in Jan. 2015, It is a beautiful appliance, but beauty is only skin deep here, we paid $3200 bucks for this supposedly long term goods. First year had to replace ice maker and PCB board, and got no satisfaction from LG warranty, we went back to where we purchased it and they were able to get somebody to repair it for free, THANK YOU HOME DEPOT! 2nd year roller rack in bottom freezer drawer broke, again LG did nothing to help, this time they said, Oh sorry out of warranty. Thank you for buying LG products. Now it completely died but lights still worked, all the ice cream in freezer melted and of course the shrimp and salmon and our other frozen stuff went bad. Fortunately I have a 30 year old Amana 27cu ft side by side out in the garage (never been repaired since new). We were able to save most of the refrigerated items and just a few of the semi-thawed frozen items. Here we go again!!! Called customer service and they said in broken English like Chinese or something Asian and told me call an authorized LG service tech in my area. I contacted a local repairman, they came next day after waiting over a week for LG customer service to respond (Pitiful). He diagnosed the problem as the compressor was bad. $75!! Really? 2 years old and the fridge dies? I asked him candidly if this was an ongoing problem, his response was he does about 3 per week and keeps LG replacement compressors in stock... Wow. The repairman came back next morning with new compressor in the box and cut out the old one and soldered in the new one, did a very nice clean job too. No charge for compressor but $275 installation fee for a total of $350 bucks to fix a 2 year old top of the line fridge. I sure hope there is a class action suit brewing soon, its not right to have a new product repaired 4 times in 2 years with one of the repairs being a new heart for the fridge... A seriously flawed design in this new type of compressor called Linear, I also lost confidence in the other LG stuff I bought, new Dishwasher, new Range, over the stove Microwave, Washer, Dryer. This company has me nervous now thats for sure. I should have stuck with my old favorite Whirlpool, but to us its a $9,000 mistake I wont make again on any LG product no matter what it is. Caveat Emptor.

I have an LG front load. It does not have an option to add more water and there is never any extra water in it other than what is on the clothes. As a result I have to wet the clothes down before I start the cycle and do a “rinse and spin” at the end of a full wash as the “extra rinse” does not utilize enough water to justify the electricity being used but the rinse and spin seems to have residual water in the drum. Even with minimal soap and fabric softener or using vinegar in the mid cycle the clothes still come out with a chemical smell to them. Yes I clean the machine regularly as it also has a problem with getting smelly quickly. Had to replace the sensor that creates the spin at year 6 but DIY as this is such a common problem and instructions found easily on the internet.

We live in Westchester County in NY. I spent $3,000 on a counter-depth french door with linear compressor, the model number was LFXC24726S. Well, it only lasted two and half years, then suddenly one day it stopped cooling. Contacted LG directly and they told me to call a local authorized repair shop for a checkup. It took days for the local shop to answer my phone call and then another few days for a appointment. The technician told me the linear compressor was gone and needed to be replaced. Also the circuit board was faulty, it resulted in lower voltage than normal. Although the compressor was covered under the warranty, its value was only $360. It is the labor to replace it my friend that is expensive, about $1100. Even if I had it fixed, its not guaranteed to last another year. So I just decided to buy a new one. This time its not going to be LG.

I have owned my stove for two years. Food has to be turned because it heats in the back too much. The water cleaning system is a joke. This has put me back sixty years. I am trying to clean by hand which is almost impossible because of the porcelain interior.

I purchased an LG refrigerator March 16 2019. The fridge makes a lot of noise, sounds like an owl and lots of banging. Freezer stopped working and I had the repairman here on Tuesday and he said it is fixed and that the fan was plugged. 2 days later the freezer and fridge are not working and I have thrown out all my food twice as I replaced it after the first service call. Now I have to wait again for a repairman. I called Home Depot where I purchased it from and they said I have to deal with LG. I am not a happy customer and I think LG should be replacing my fridge and refunding my food costs. I am now a week w b mg sf banging.

My first impression with LG was when they promised to have the refrigerator
My first impression with LG was when they promised to have the refrigerator at my house within two weeks but it took more than six weeks for delivery. I did have some issues with the freezer frosting up. Called customer service. They referred me to a higher department and they seem to be able to rectify my concern. Thank you.Currently whenever the refrigerator compressor goes on the vibration sound is very high. Have checked inside the cabin and all the contents to make sure they were not vibrating it is not it’s the compressor vibrating. I called for a repair and they recommended me to appliance repair in Poughkeepsie New York. I then checked on their ratings. All of the reviews were a one star except for three that were five stars. It also showed that there was two complaints to the Better Business Bureau in the previous six months. I canceled the appointment and spoke to LG about using such a horribly reviewed service. I told them I did not want that repair service in my home.

My 2-yr old LG fridge broke, LG authorized A&E to for the repair. I called A&E, took me 3 days to make an appointment. It was 2nd week of June, the appointment was 1st week of July. The repairman told me parts need to be replaced, they re-scheduled me for July 29. July 29 came and I got a phone call at 8 am telling me that the technician couldnt make it and told me to call A&E to reschedule. The earliest is August 24. I took a day off just to be home for the technician, and now this is my situation.

We purchased LG French Door refrigerator 2012. Every year we have had service. I keep paying a fortune for the extended warranty increasing the cost to over $3000.00 now. Now the compressor went last Monday, and a week later, they cannot even tell me when the part will be in, it is on back order. I explained to several people that this is our only refrigerator. We lost everything in the freezer and refrigerator with the exception of some items that fit in our outdoor camp size refrigerator. We have been buying ice, for the cooler to keep milk in the house. Today they still cannot give me an ETA on the part. This is offensive, that you pay good money to purchase the product, good money to insure the product, and then you wait and I was told it take weeks. No loaner, no replacement. I WOULD TELL EVERYONE LOOKING AT REVIEWS, do your homework, do not purchase LG.

The LG refrigerator I purchased in October 2017 failed to freeze or cool on
The LG refrigerator I purchased in October 2017 failed to freeze or cool on August 8, 2020. I called Appliance Service Center USA, waited online for 20 min and asked for service. They offered ASAP, I said yes, they said the soonest would be August 18! ASCUSA said I could buy a countertop refrigerator or rent one and they would decide if they would pay for it! The tech arrived and looked at the unit for 5 min. and said the compressor failed. He said he does not know why he was sent because he didnt work on that repair. He asked for a new service date and said they would call me. New service date would be August 24! The unit was repaired with a new compressor but who knows how long this one will last. Two things here, dont purchase an LG refrigerator and if you make that mistake, plan on no repair service for weeks. Who needs a working refrigerator anyway!! What a disaster....
