Even though it says dont rinse the dishes, just scrape them, this DW doesnt get the job done. Ive tried all kinds of soaps and rinses and I often have to hand scrape food off the plates and from inside glasses. I had a Sears Kenmore for its lifespan and they dont make anything like it. Disappointed, wont buy LG again.

I loved our LG French Door refrigerator with the indoor ice maker. Some friends of ours even purchased the same model after seeing ours. Earlier this week, the ice maker stopped working. After trying the suggestions in the model, we called for a repair. Within minutes of looking at the ice maker, the technician informed us that we needed a new ice maker. The total cost for the repair--$390! This refrigerator is only a little over 3 years old. I am deeply disappointed with the quality of our LG refrigerator and will think twice before buying another LG appliance.

Dishes do not completely dry, especially on the quick cycle. Water is left standing on the bottom of glasses. Even running full cycle, they do not dry completely. The silverware rack does a good job, but had to get a separate basket for odd items. Dishes must be put in the lower rack up front, due to folding tines in the back, will not stay up with dishes, glasses covering the times works well.

Updated 09/04/2020: Every single review here on this website, there is a response from LG promising to look into the problem, its been two weeks since I sent them my information that they asked for and have heard nothing. Since then Ive had my electric range repaired. On my credit card statement they charged me $135 just for the diagnostic and $150.50 for the replacement of a Rotary Switch. It took the repair technician 45 minutes to take my stove apart and test each component. He couldnt determine what was wrong with the stove at this point. Then he went to the visitor parking lot where his truck was parked and brought in the box of parts, why didnt he bring them in when he came in, (the clock is ticking at $65 for 15 minutes)? He opened the box and took out a rotary switch, thats the plug on the knob that turns your stove on and off. He replaced it and that was what the problem was, problem solved. The time that it took him replacing the very first part that he tested without taking the range apart was like two minutes. He should have done that to begin with. Summary: it took the Technician 50 minutes to take the whole stove apart and test everything without a diagnosis and less than 5 minutes to replace the first part that he tested without having to take the whole stove apart. I was charged an additional $150.50 for that on top of the $135 for the diagnostic fee. I disputed this charge with a supervisor after calling them and havent heard anything since 8/27/20 for their review of my complaint.Original review: I purchased the $1,100 electric range 2 years ago. I use it three, four times a month maximum and already after 2 years the front right burner doesnt work. I called customer service to inquire about it and they informed me the warranty had expired after a year. I said I was very disappointed after having a stove for only 2 years that already I need to have a burner replaced. I was told that the supervisor could review the matter and that I would hear back 3 to 5 days. I heard back after about eight days with a denial and that I have to pay for the repair. Im stunned that I paid $1,100 for the stove and already and it needs to be repaired???

Bought an LG washer under the Kenmore brand, which worked beautifully until the warranty expired. Now it repeatedly shuts off before rinse cycle and also shuts off on spin cycle. Planned obsolescence. Was the most expensive on the market at the time. Waste of money.

Worst. Dishwasher. Ever. The tines collapse. The tines are too short and spaced poorly so the plates flop over and dont get clean. Dishes chip. The dishwasher rack derails because the rack is a little too narrow and the rollers arent wide enough to stay on the rail. It derails constantly. Then I have to try to lug a heavy rack back onto the rails and then it derails in the other direction. Detergent door doesnt click into place. Dishes often do not get clean. Purple plastic pieces holding the adjustable tines pop off and rows of tines fall into the dishwasher bottom. The pump has failed 4 or 5 times in 3 years, either blocked or defective. I made repeated, polite complaints to the company when problems persisted past the warranty period. LG DOESNT BACK THEIR PRODUCT! I paid $899 and Im replacing it with a Bosch that costs half of that. I hate this dishwasher! No, I really hate this dishwasher! (It gets one star because I cant give it negative 5 stars.)

Purchased a LG Refrigerator from Home Depot in July of 2012. Within probably a month, I had to call the company and have them come and service the freezer as it was completely frosted up. I did not find the person on the phone to be polite at all and pretty much implied that I had done something to make the freezer frost up. That problem was fixed and I have not had any further issues with the freezer. However, the plastic shelves are pretty much all broken as well as the plastic drawers. I called the company on two occasions to complain about this and once again I felt that the phone staff were very rude. I told them that all the shelves were broken so they sent me one shelf. Doesnt do me much good as they are all broken and some of the support for the shelves to sit on are also broken. I would never, ever, ever purchase a LG product again. Their support staff not very polite or helpful and the product is horrible.

I bought the LG Model DLEX3370W in May 2019. Exactly 2 years later the dryer died. The circuit board died and it will not power on. I went to a local repair/refurbished shop and asked them if it was possible to repair the dryer. They told me it would cost the same amount to repair the dryer as replacing it. The dryer works very well when it has power but after about a year we noticed it would intermittently not power on. In most cases we would unplug it and plug it back in and it worked. This last time it is completely dead.

This expensive refrigerator (MODEL LFX25778ST) was one of the worst purchases ever! The ice maker - only makes about 20 ice cubes on a good day. The ice maker itself breaks after 2 years and then it costs a fortune to fix. May as well buy another fridge. The Customer Service from LG was even worse than the product itself. Truly a horrible experience. I would caution anyone from buying LG. I have had to make several large purchases since this fridge and vowed to never buy LG again. I will never and will encourage anyone I know and influence to not buy LG. Not normally this type of person but when the consumer is being taken advantage of by such a big corporation its time to stop supporting that corporation.

We bought the LG WT1701C washer and matching dryer for a new house. I started to notice the clothes werent getting clean, even on the Hot setting. I felt the water, and the in the Hot setting, the water was barely tepid. A service tech came to look at it and informed me that most of the new washer brands have a top temperature of 100 degrees. I was shocked to find this out. He did inform me that selecting a different wash cycle than Normal, like Bright Whites or Oxi Sanitize, will give you water thats hotter but those cycle times are longer. Also, in the Normal cycle, it seems that the washer takes more time to sense the size of the load than it does to wash it. Although I saw that it had no center agitator, I assumed the washer action would be similar to the old agitators. But I have watched laundry loads that swish back and forth but sometimes the laundry on top doesnt get down to the tub that does the washing. The agitation doesnt seem to be very strong. Again, selecting a different setting like Heavy soil, will create a stronger agitation. If youre shorter than 5 6, youll need a stool to reach the bottom of the tub. And be careful about inadvertently pushing buttons once your load has started. While reaching in the washer, I inadvertently hit a button that changed the setting. I could not go back or resume and had to start over. I was 2/3 through the cycle so it was very inefficient in water and electric. So far the dryer seems to work well. Although its a nice looking set, I would not buy it again. Even with some concerns about the smell in front loaders, I would choose a front loader to make sure that the clothes tumble enough to get clean. I believe this model has been discontinued but there are newer models with similar model numbers that I believe will have the same issues.

Let me start by saying that their linear compressor is garbage and warrantied for 10 years after purchase date! I purchased my refrigerator in April of 2012. July 26, 2017 refrigerator stopping cooling. The compressor has died after 4 years and their approved service technicians have yet to get a compressor to run in my refrigerator. 1st company has come out 4 times to install the said compressor. I paid $350 to get it serviced to no avail. Not once has the compressor been operational after 20 minutes. It shuts done as the technician drive away. 1st company said it is junk and is all done. The 2nd company that came out that LG sent. Said the compressor needs to be replaced, he cant do it because he said, he wasnt certified. So we waited an extra week so a certified tech was to come out (today Sept 6, 2017, the date they stated) we called and they are not coming, stating that the refrigerator was junk. LGs response was that they provided the part and that’s it. I guess it doesnt need to be operational. Ive been without a refrigerator for over 6 weeks, thinking and waiting for that customer support that does not exist with LG. LG people were more than rude and unhelpful with every call. Buyer beware LG doesnt back their warranty. LG gave us a case number and made us think they would have help in some way but today’s response was priceless. They are done because they provided the part. Make the part operational. They should back their products and not get away with taking advantage of consumers. They (LG) should be acceptable!! $3000 plus $350 repair, down the drain!!

We purchased a top load LG washer from Home Depot. We were told how energy efficient it was, saving water and time, spinning the clothing so dry it would take less drying time, and that all washers would soon be made without agitators. They were on sale, so we purchased one. Big mistake! I have to run all loads on heavy duty and extra rinse just to get enough water in the machine to get the clothes clean and get most of the detergent out (No, I dont put in too much detergent). This takes 76 minutes, no matter the size of load, which most are small to medium to be sure the clothes get clean. It has also started knocking and getting off balance. I cant wait to get rid of this washer and would never recommend this type to anyone.

My late husband thought he was treating me to a beautiful machine. It has been nothing but trouble since day one. Water twice all over floor ruining carpets, unbalanced loads, shaking when spinning. It is mainly the water dumping that is getting to me. I was running Tub Clean with a semi-bleach product recommended for HE machines, and I heard drip drip drip once again. Shut machine off and have to pay for a same day visit as same day is not covered by service contract. I was told last time by someone from LG, Its a 2 year old machine. Really? I had another make for 30 years in NY and it never did anything like this! And its always the LG hoses that fail! Nothing I am doing. Wish I had ordered a different brand!

I bought this model (LSXS26326S) back in 2015, yes this come with 1 year warranty. June 2017, with no clue its just stop being refrigerator, ice not produce, not cool only one thing works is lighting. Called customer service right away, they question me if I have warranty? Yes 1 year warranty. If this case happens 10-20 years later it means this refrigerator already do their jobs, but only 2 years? Dont you think it something wrong might happen with their production? Its not like you bought a car, which is depending on how fast you drive, how aggressive you drive, care taking. But refrigerator what I only do is put food into refrigerator thats it. This refrigerator cost 1.5 k not some hundred dollar. I made a decision to purchase LG brands because I think that I could TRUST them. LG team gave me time to fix this on July 29th which is I could not accept this. I would like to get a same new working refrigerator or higher immediately or full refund so I can buy a refrigerator to keep my food cold and because I feel like I pay too much for this refrigerator that only working for 2 years. LG CASE NO. : **. They put me on Live Chat and waiting about 30 minutes and end up with screen was refreshing by itself and back to beginning again. Buy another brand.

I purchased this range in April, 2017 when the contractor that was installing flooring damaged my Whirlpool range that I had and dearly loved. In speaking to the salesperson she spoke very highly of LG products and talked me into purchasing a model with the convection oven (LRE3061BD). In August, 2017 the fan in the oven started making a screeching noise. Since then the fan has quit completely. I called LG and they sent a new fan, motor and electric board. I have had 5 different appts for the repair company to come out and fix the oven; however, no one has ever shown up. Each time when I call customer service I get the same answer, We will have to locate a service company and they will give you a call in 48 to 72 hours to set up an appt to repair. I have taken off work 2 of these 5 times and no one showed up. When I called the service company they stated that LG told them I had cancelled the appointment. I will never purchase another LG product because they dont stand behind the product and their customer service is horrible. I work in a very culturally diversified company and I can understand dialect and accents very well; however, it is very difficult to understand the customer service representatives and they are very rude. They will not listen and talk over you. I have spoke to a Jeannie, Rodney and Donald and all of them have the same answer... I will have a service rep call you within 48 to 72 hours. Im just hoping that my annual Thanksgiving dinner for my 16 guests turns out decent, if not it may be Pizza Hut!!!

I spent weeks researching the best W/D to purchase. We purchased top-of-the-line LG washer and dryer in July 2012. Now 8 months after purchase, the dryer stopped heating. We have a technician coming tomorrow but LG representative was sure to make clear that it could be our fault and therefore the repair may not be covered under warranty. Now I have found that many people have had the same problem. It is apparent that LG is aware of a defect. Honestly! We were planning on buying an LG W/D for our 2nd house but not now! Im on Day 5 without a refrigerator. It started with one of the two ice makers quitting. Service Call to LG difficult to understand, but we shook the freezer and would wait 24 hours to see if that worked. Threw out a lot of food. I requested a service call but was denied. After 24 hours, the entire refrigerator stopped working. Call #2, and throw out the rest of the food. We were told to pull the refrigerator from the wall and unplug it, and run a phone check through their system. Advised to wait 24 hours because it seemed to the operator that it was fixed. Woke up to water all over the floor. The machine is humming but its not cooling. 75 degrees on interior thermometer. This was the third call and a service call was placed on our behalf. Finally, request for service call was authorized. Wait wait wait. Holiday week-end. Service called Tuesday and appeared Tues. Reported the compressor and panel needed to be replaced. Wait for two more days while the parts are obtained. THIS IS A NIGHTMARE! Why did I think LG was the best there was? I will get this repaired and forget about buying the other kitchen appliances to match it. Good point $300 food reimbursement will be provided because I have a service plan. A drop in the bucket and 7 days to resolve a refrigerator issue is crazy. My dad had heart bypass and was working fine within 5 days... If I owned LG, I would have brought me a new refrigerator the first day I called.

On 5.11.2013 I have bought LG Eco Hybrid dryer model RC8055APZ, warranty 2 years, price 1,049.00€, with discount 944.10€. In October 2014 water flow from under the washing machine and the dryer didnt dry. The dryer had alarm that filter is not clean, or it has finished the drying cycle after few minutes and laundry was still wet. They have changed the filter with another model. They have cleaned the system. I was told also that the motherboard was replaced with a new one And the machine was tested But it is not written on report that the motherboard was changed. Now, after 10 months the same troubles appeared. The washing machine they have changed the back tub, shock absorbers, sensor of vibration, POB. They also told me they have replaced the motherboard, but that is not written on the report, and they have tested the machine. So now after 10 months it seem that same mistakes are appeared. I bought an LG refrigerator in May 2017. After 1 year of owning it, it was communicated to me that LG is known for faulty compressors in 2-3 years after purchase. My LG compressor stopped working in June 2020. The compressor is under warranty but the labor and other items not involved with compressor, such as Freon are not. It cost me $700 to fix the fridge. I have had nothing but trouble with the LG Dryer #DLGX3571 which I purchased in August of 2015. Weve already had service on it once before and now are in need of service again due to no heat in the dryer. My husband notified LG of the problem, the fact that we have an LG Premium Care extended warranty and that the problem was that the ignition was not working. My husband was told that the earliest day for service was today which is 6 days later. Today the technician arrived and confirmed that the problem was the ignition but DID NOT HAVE THE PART!!! Worse still, the part cannot be obtained until next week and then we will have to schedule ANOTHER SERVICE DATE! So we will be without the dryer for at least two weeks. I find this unreasonable and unacceptable. In addition to the present problem, I have found that only two of the dryer settings are useful - the manual setting and the air dry setting. On the steam cycle settings, clothes finish in the same condition or even more wrinkled than they are using the manual setting. The cycles do absolutely nothing in terms of removing wrinkles. In fact, in my experience, clothes are more wrinkled at the end of the steam fresh cycle than they were at the beginning. This dryer is expensive and I could have bought a simple dryer without the cycles (which do not work as claimed) that would have been much less expensive, provided the same drying quality and probably would have been broken less often. I am convinced that if you purchase this product you will be greatly disappointed in its performance.

Got this LG top of the line unit October 2015. Within a month the water began filling through the detergent AND softener trays simultaneously. Did the digital wifi help thing dozens of times with my cellphone, they said nothing wrong, clean your inlet filters. What??? By December the tub failed to fill with enough water at all to wash anything, regardless which tray side was filling from. A load of Pure Colors came out literally with dry spots in the clothing! Add to that, the balancer within the direct drive unit was slipping badly, somewhat similar to a bad car clutch, and any size load on any cycle was being violently bashed against the inside frame. Sounded like my front door was being kicked in. So, to sum up, I have $878 worth of scrap in my house that will not fill properly, wash properly or spin properly. I still have 7 more months on the financial contract, and Im sick about it.LG finally hooked me up with an in house service guy --- he never replied to the 2 service calls that were set up --- and closed out both tickets saying customer reported solved. Really? By the way, the name of this place was Als TV and Model Railroad so that about sums up the quality of LG service!!! My lawyer is requesting certified copies of LGs warranty, the financial contract, and my phone and web interactions. I dont want to feel as if my only option is legal action, but I will if LG leaves me no other option.

My 4.5 yr old side by side LG stopped cooling sometime Sunday. I had purchased an extended warranty. (Customer service is not what it used to be.) Called the warranty company and left a message Sunday night. Waited all day Monday for a call back. Can you hear the crickets. Short story, didnt get anyone on the phone till Tuesday and was told an appt. was set for Wednesday morning. But I should call the service provider to confirm. Three phone calls and an email later I get a response. Tech arrived Wednesday afternoon. Then tells me, after checking my fridge that I need a new compressor. And that the reason he was late is because he just replaced a compressor on another LG fridge. I thought he might have one in his truck, but no. I would have to be ordered and another appt. would have to be made. I have owned 2 other brands in the past and only replaced them after 15 or more years and I have never had a compressor replaced. Now that the kids are long gone and we decide to buy more expensive appliances, we find that expensive is not synonymous with reliable. BTW LG dishwasher repaired twice in 5 years.Going back to the old yet faithful brands.

Our LG washer/dryer is less than 5 years old. We bought these top of the line machines since we are getting older and wanted to be trouble-free for the foreseeable future. This year, we had to replace both circuit boards on the dryer. Then after that, the drum would not turn and the motor just buzzed. So we had to replace the motor too. A little reading on the internet and it seems that many people have had the same problem with the centrifugal switch on the motor, circuit boards needing replacement is common as well. Now, the washing machine has started to make a loud, squeaking sound when it runs. My old washer/dryer combo was purchased in 1986 and was still working perfectly in 2007 when we bought the LG units. We paid a premium for a top of the line, but we sure didnt get a top of the line reliability.

Have had the fridge about 15 years. During that time it required 3 repairs. Last issue was fridge compartment freezing. Technician was unable to identify or fix the source of the problem. Some plastic parts like vegetable drawers were flimsy and broke easily. Otherwise it was a stylish and good, quiet unit.

I am quite disappointed that my french door fridge stopped working with having it less than 4 years. The repairman knew exactly what the problem was when he saw the make/model. He said he has repaired oodles of them. Even though the parts are covered for 10 years the cost for labor is $550. I read online that there was a class action suit but the one I was looking at was dropped. If anyone else knows of a current one I could join please let me know. I dont know that I would feel comfortable every purchasing another LG product.

I love the side by side with the see thru door for drinks. Just knock 2xs on the window and it lights up so you can see in the door before opening to get a drink. It has sensors so if you dont close the doors completely they go off. Ice maker inside freezer, didnt want water on the door, last one leaked and never could fix it. Once and roomy and nice shelves and easy to clean, plenty of freezer space. Nice veg bins and meat bin. Stainless, love it.

Last year in August I replaced my LG microwave oven with an identical one (38 Litre LG Microwave Rounded Cavity Interior - Two). I dont have the exact model number but it is something like LG MS 3842 and has a 38 liter capacity. I now have to replace the one replaced under warranty in August 2013 with yet another one. Both ceased heating as per specifications and emitted a strong smell of electronics and/or wiring overheating or burning. At no stage was the oven used in a manner other than to cook vegetables and rice, the main items prepared for eating in this appliance. I am now going to replace the model with one that claims to have 7 fold Aqua Block System as a safety feature. Good luck to me!

Purchased appliances 4 years ago and since have had several issues which are no longer covered by the 1 year warranty. Refrigerator: The rubber that goes around the refrigerator doors ripped several years after purchase. Gas Range LRG30357ST: plastic covering on the inserts of the burner knobs are faulty. You cannot purchase the plastic insert and each knob is $63.60. Initially, my husband kept switching knobs, and now three of them are broken. Reading the other postings, I realize I am not alone in my complaint. I contacted LG service department and was told no recalls. Sounds like this is a consistent issue which LG is choosing to ignore. I am very dissatisfied and this will be my last LG purchases!!!

LG refrigerator (French door/expensive) had to have compressor replaced at 2 yrs, $800+ in labor, parts took 3 weeks to arrive from Korea so without a ref for all that time. Now a couple years later it went out again, compressor, evaporator and other parts replaced. It doesnt cool and is deemed unrepairable. Have spent another $905 in labor. Asking LG to at least reimburse for labor but not getting good support. Product is not good quality apparently and parts take an unreasonable amount of time to arrive. Warranty support inadequate under the circumstances.

I purchased my refrigerator in November of 2014. I began to have performance issues with the cooling fan within two weeks of operation. After a remote diagnosis I was told that the cooling fan was freezing up; when I asked about repairs I was told to just insure that all doors and draws were tightly close and to check all seals were air tight, bad advice. Between November 2014 and April 2016 the same issue continued to occur. After a series of calls and two more visits, LG would no longer return with pay; this was an ongoing issue. With no further help from LG the repairs were completed in 2017 through use of my home appliances insurance.

Our LG gas dryer quit drying. The motor would run and the drum would turn. Also, air came out the vent but no heat. We called Sears Service and they came out. The technician took the dryer apart and after a few minutes discovered that close to the burner is a resettable thermostat all hidden underneath and of course, nothing in the manual mentioning a resettable part. Good design would have made that something the owner could find and reset. (Were not all idiots.) The manual, which is best described as poor pidgin English. We have had a great deal of trouble getting clothes completely dry. I am disappointed in the quality of a machine which was very expensive.

Like many reviewers before me, my 2.5 year old LG fridge stopped cooling yesterday. I called LG and spoke to CS who instructed me to change the temperature settings from Celsius to Fahrenheit and wait 2 hours, then call back if the fridge isnt cooling. I asked what changing the settings had to do with diagnosing my fridge, and the rep kept instructing me how to change the setting. After much persistence, I finally got the rep to tell me about the Smart ThinQ app ( to diagnose the problem). We downloaded the app, tried the program... only for the answer of the fridge door has been open longer than normal over the last 24 hours... yes of course! Everything is melting, I was transferring my food to coolers! I called again and asked to be transferred to Tech Support... I was put on hold to nowhere. I called a third time and spoke to another rep who found some equipment on the floor that could diagnose the problem. While the fridge did make a tune that the CS rep listened to, the final answer lead to sending out a technician. Now we were faced with: do we pay $299 for a One Rate fix, which guarantees a complete fix for the one rate, or do we pay $80 for a house call and then a variably increasing rate depending on the complexity of the fix. To pay anything for fixing a compressor that has a 10 year warranty is absurd! The fridge is going to the dump today, and my 20 year old KitchenAid which we replaced with the LG is coming back up from the basement! NEVER AGAIN will I purchase ANY LG product! If you havent bought an LG fridge yet, DONT!

After several attempts of replacing the seal, I finally had the door replaced. Just yesterday, I found a crack in the drum of the dryer. After speaking with LG, and discussing the number of complaints registered about the drum problems, I was told it would be an $89.00 service call with a possible $250.00 replacement fee plus tax. This is a beautiful, very large washer. Had great reviews and ratings in consumer magazines, etc. For 10 months or so it functioned well, handling large quantities of laundry, including towels and bedding. Then nearing the 1 year mark, the UE symbol, meaning it cant spin out the water from your clothing was a regular occurrence. I was told to use the tub clean cycle. It may have helped it balance for a few uneventful loads. But it was short lived. If you like standing over the top of a washer watching to see if it will spin, etc., but seeing it add 20 or more minutes over and over, then this is the one for you. A big disappointment.Updated on 1/23/2017: Whenever I have called LG about the frequent (Out of balance) issue they always say run the tub clean cycle, which I suppose tries to re-balance or reset without any clothes in it. It even get off balance empty!! Why does this washer get such good reviews in consumer reports, etc.

Within 2 years of purchasing our top-load (no center agitator) washer/dryer set, the metal around the bleach dispenser in the washer began to rust. We lifted the top of the washer and the entire bottom was rusted. It looks as if the underside of the washer top was not sealed properly from water damage. We found many other similar complaints online and contacted LG, only to be told that the rust is cosmetic. Soon our bleach dispenser will be unusable. During a normal cycle, water runs through the bleach dispenser, so even if I stop using it for bleach, the rusty water will still enter the washer drum. There is no reality in which rust running into the washer should be considered cosmetic.

I bought this LG gas range last November at Home Depot. (And they knew nothing at all about the flaws in the range.) To begin, there was a problem with the gas not turning on quickly enough, causing some gas to leak out, and a repairman came and fixed it. It required a part that had to be ordered, and I couldn’t use the range for a few days. But there are two other big problems I have had. First, the easy clean feature. It doesn’t work. At all. And it is a pain to use anyway—filling the indented compartment in the bottom of the oven! Doesn’t do anything, and then you have to extract the water by hand from the oven floor. They say not to use oven cleaners, etc. as it can ruin the oven walls. Which leaves no real choices. A man who came to put in a new dishwasher told me I could use something like Soft Scrub. I haven’t tried it yet. I am 73 years old, and I am too old to have to get on my hands and knees and clean an oven.Second problem: when the oven is on, air blows out from the oven, but instead of coming out the front, it comes out the back. The air flow is directed toward the burners and usually blows them out. If you don’t stay right with it, you have a major gas leak problem. I have had to put up barriers in front of the air flow vents to keep this from happening. I would never walk away from the stove if I use the oven and cook on the burners at the same time. This might be the worst appliance I have ever purchased. I would never ever buy another lg appliance. The leaking gas is a major safety concern. The company had to know the easy clean feature doesn’t work. And when I told the repairman this, he said maybe I should have done better research before I purchased it. Wonderful customer service. I would like to give no stars...

I am very upset and very frustrated! I bought a full suite of LG kitchen appliances just over 2 years ago from HHGregg and invested in a 5 year (HHGregg premium) warranty to cover all of the appliances. In just 2 short years I am having trouble with all of my appliances and am currently waiting on a service call from HHGregg (whom I will never buy appliances from ever again). Found out today that the HHGregg warranty is not as good as the paper on which it is written! One complaint is the LG microwave oven. It stopped working (the plate will no longer rotate and will not heat up). Apparently, there is a default in the design of the LG microwave ovens that fit over the stove. The heat from the stove causes the microwave system to stop working. LG and HHGregg should replace my malfunctioned microwave oven with one without this flaw! No LG told me to contact HHGregg! HHGregg offered me only a 200.00 store credit! This cost does not replace my microwave! I feel robbed by LG and by HHGregg! Shame on both these companies!!!

Overall this is a great washing machine and works as expected. I purchased this washer 12/16. The plastic housing has developed cracks on the inside where the wash drum is, more of a structural thing and not mechanical. Contacted LG and they stated only the Direct Drive Motor was under any warranty, 10 yr warranty. I explained that if the washer housing was falling apart around the drive motor what use would the motor be. They offered a one time warranty that would have to be reviewed by their underwriters. I received a call several days later stating it would not be replaced. Just want to let others know to look for these cracks/flaws after a few years of use. Weak plastic housing and poor quality control. I will not be replacing or purchasing any LG products in the future.

I bought an LG Refrigerator in 5/2011. Three months out of warranty and I spent $533.00 today to fix 3 parts. Now fridges are supposed to last 10-12 years. There’s only one person in the house so it is not abused. I called and of course outsourcing. I spoke to the executive complaint department. If I didnt have the repairman fixing it, they would consider possibly helping out. Since my repairman was repairing the flawed parts, and the refrigerator was warm, how much longer should I wait for their technician to come out? Someone needs to start a class action lawsuit against LG since so many people have complaints about their product. The parts are cheap, they break. 7/17/2017 purchased a Sears Elite Stainless Steel side-by-side Grab and Go refrigerator model 51863. The product had the Sears brand but found it was made by LG for Sears. 8/8/2019 freezer and refrigerator sides were warm and melting. A Sears and a none Sears serviceman (2) came and diagnosed the problem to be the linear compressor which was made by LG had gone out. This was a new beautiful looking refrigerator just over over 2 years old. Paid $1751 for it and it would cost $1000.00 to repair. Wrote Sears Vice President of Customer Experience. Received a phone call from their Executive Complaint Department and spoke with a Debra (or Deborah) who after lengthy conversations told me that since I did not have an extended warranty, there was nothing they could do.I was livid. Researched and found hundreds of customers who has had this problem and also found there is a class action law suit pending awaiting to see if the courts would approve it. After the poor treatment from Sears, and after having read that some replaced compressors went out again, I opted to buy a none LG brand refrigerator. Spent total of $3000.00 here.3/9/2017 purchased an LG 65 smart TV from Sams Club. Model: 65UH615A for $1000.00. I have 4 other TVs, none of which are LG brands. The oldest TV is over 12 years old and I watch it the most and have had no problems with it or any of the others. 4/25/2020 the LG model went out. Yes, the TV that I have had just over 3 years! I get a black screen. Researched online and it appears the motherboard is shot. Have a call in to a repair person. WHAT is UP with these LG products? How disappointing is this. I really thought that LG was a good brand but my experience dictates otherwise. 2018 purchased an LG Stylo 4 from Sprint and am now having problem with this phone when I log it up. I bought the double oven stove and unfortunately I did not use the stove until 9 months after the purchase. The stove is awful. It will burn you if you try to even come near the back of the stove top. It is very hard to clean, and that means the entire unit. The knobs are actually paper/tin which cracks and peels after just a little wear. The oven has never baked right. It burns everything on the bottom. Nothing I did corrected any of the problems.I have told everyone I know not to purchase this brand of stove, and will continue to tell the public about this lemon. To produce something so inferior and sell it to the public just shows that this company has no regard for customers and will sell junk. For me it was way too late to send this piece of junk back as by the time I used it warranty had passed. I tried to call this company and was told there was nothing they could do. Machine sounded as if it was gearing up for take off. LG ran a smart diagnosis over the phone and said everything was normal. I then ran a spin cycle and had the service tech listen over the phone and he said No way was that sound normal. As we live farther than 20 miles from an authorized repair service, our case had to be evaluated for repair or replacement. They replaced it and it sounds much different and improved. With the new machine, the liquid HE soap is not totally dispensing leaving gummy residue in the tray. The manual is not very clear on how much to use for what size load. I was told to use 1 Tablespoon for medium and 2 Tablespoons for bulky loads and that a small amount of water remaining after the load finishes is normal and to wipe it out of the dispenser trays after each load. We have an LG refrigerator that is 2 years old. The ice maker stopped working in early April 2020. The compressor & fridge cooling ability stopped on 4/24. We have received nothing but the runaround. 1 certified repair place did a COVID diagnosis by phone & confirmed that it was the compressor, but said they would not come out until I had approval codes directly from LG. Jumped thru lots of good including uploading receipts to prove purchase date, amount paid, etc. Waited 12 days for the only repair service for warranty work & the guy showed up in my home with my elderly Mother & my Grandson with no mask or gloves for COVID precautions & did diagnosis only to confirm what our approval codes said. But, he doesnt travel with parts. Ordered them expedited to ship to our house & he said to call 800# if they came in early as first open appointment was another 11 days away. They came the next day, but when I called they said I had earliest time already. 2 days before the appointment, I got a text notifying me that I had a new appointment on 6/3 instead of 5/16. I purchased an LG washer and dryer from Home Depot about 18 months ago. I got their top model at the time top loading. After about 15 months I noticed the paint around bleach dispenser beginning to bubble up and so I removed the blue tray only to find machine has been rusting. I thought perhaps its because when pouring bleach we sometimes get it between the plastic and machine. Then when looking under, I noticed the entire machine has massive rust buildup to where its flaking and falling on the plastic edges of the drum. After contacting LG about this issue they pretty much said Im out of warranty and oh well. At the rate of the rust Im guessing another 2 years and metal clips / screws will pretty much break during a spin cycle and nothing I can do about it except share this troubling issue to save someone else thousands of dollars on LGs poorly protected product against moisture. That 10 year warranty sticker is such a gimmick since these wont make it past 5 years with the crazy rust buildup. I did some research online and found that many other users have gone through the same frustration. I hope all the negative reviews will get LG to better insulate metal surfaces in their machines. Even my car comes with 10 year 100,000 mile warranty against rust yet washer has no rust warranty?

I bought my refrigerator in November of 2012. It worked fine until it broke down a couple of weeks ago. I call LG the parts is under warranty and they referred me to one of their service tech. Long story short the tech wanted to charge 850.00 labor, LG had said 200 to 250 for labor on their website. I call back LG and told them about the misleading information on their website. 850.00 on a 4 years old refrigerator I can get a new and better brand for 1300.00. I hate LG.

Our refrigerator is less than 2 years old and the compressor went out. Our freezer MELTED and the compressor got so hot that it could have started a FIRE! We have been living out of an ICE CHEST for 7 days and we are getting the run-around by customer service and subcontractors. I understand that there was a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT against LG for defective compressors. I wish I had researched a bit more before purchasing an LG product. I give up. We are buying a new fridge today. It will NOT be an LG EVER. I will never buy another LG product again. I am disgusted by how we have been treated by LG. Their business model for maximizing profit is to wait you out. Well you win LG.

I am very disappointed at the integrity of the knobs. They look and feel like good quality, but I am disappointed to find that inside the knob hole is plastic (not good quality). After just over a year (warranty expired, of course), two of the knobs cracked inside the holes and will no longer turn the burners on correctly. Within the first year of owning a new LG gas range, the 5-burner control knobs were breaking where the knob slides onto the shaft of the gas control mechanism. I tried repairing it myself and it worked for a while, but now they are so bad they need replacing. Why can it not be made of metal? This simple solution would solve the problem. While searching various parts replacement sites, the knobs are over $70.00 each to replace, 5 x 70 = $350.00 for knobs? Is this customer service and support after the sale? I am so disappointed in the quality of these knobs and the expense to replace them that I may replace the whole range on principle and never purchase an LG product again, of any type. What happens when I put the new knobs on and they crack and break? Another $350.00 in todays dollars for knobs? I dont think so. I have checked around and there are no replacement knobs of better quality available. LG needs to get their act together. After almost one and a half year only, now all the 5 valves and burners are bad and thank God I bought the extended warranty which is covering that problem. The only reason I bought this stove was the look and then I assumed that since it is an expensive stove, it must be good. But beware everybody, do not buy this product! I will keep on saying that until they fix my stove either by replacing it for once and for all. But at least I found a nice rep who promised to send me 5 new knobs as they have upgraded those knobs with metal inserts. Lets see if theyll work or not!

I liked our LG appliances just fine, until something went wrong. Luckily we purchased the extended warranty from Home Depot for our side-by-side refrigerator. Exactly three years later it isnt cooling and I called to have it repaired. It is going to be TWO WEEKS before someone can come and look at it. I called Home Depot to complain and they informed me that LG will no longer allow anyone except LG service people to make service calls, so their hands are tied. TWO WEEKS before and even sending anyone out. In my opinion this is horrible customer service from LG and I wish someone at Home Depot would have informed me of the repair issues prior to selling me the Extended Warranty.

Well my washer (LG wt5001cw) started making a grinding and whining noise after owning if for 2 and half years and come to find out my repairman tells me it cant be fixed and its time for a new one. Really it is not fixable? So if your washer has these issues and its this model number good luck. I also have emailed LG a letter and let them know I wont be spending anymore of my hard earned money on their products. At least they dont make any life saving devices I hope. Please do not buy their products. My repairman said that this is common with their products and they are only made to last about 3 years. He sees it everyday.

Please steer clear of this product. It is a nightmare to do laundry. Continually says its uneven and runs more and more water to try and balance itself. Unless you have hours to devote to one load of laundry, get another brand. I personally cannot understand the people I call at LG help desk; definite language barrier. This washer apparently is ultra sensitive to a sock or some other small item being on the edge and Im constantly rearranging clothes to try and get it to finish. Worst appliance Ive ever owned and Im in my sixties.

Actually, most of it goes into the chamber that has to be cleaned often with a special vacuum cleaner wand! This is by far the most worst and most expensive dryer that Ive ever bought! Ive had problems with all the LG appliances that Ive bought, and WILL NEVER buy any of their products again! Can’t even give this one star. I won’t rehash in detail the previous reviews about this miserable washing machine. I have had the same problems: won’t fill with enough water, starts wash cycle with some clothes not even wet, goes out a balance, and it leaks. My first service call was after one month of operation. The technicians put in a new computer board and said that would fix the low water and out of balance issue. It didn’t. I then bought a service insurance policy and glad I did. I’ve had at least four additional service calls to fix the above issues. The rust water leak has stained my travertine tile and the water has warped my baseboards. Still leaks. This has been such a unpleasant experience. I will never again buy an LG product. For the rest of you consumers, stay away from this washing machine.

We bought our LG washer and dryer in 2006. You can take any of the complaints/descriptions from the others and put our name under it as our problems are the same as theirs. The problem with smell and extreme mold buildup started immediately and continues to this day. We clean it weekly with washing machine cleaners, bleach and dishwasher detergent to no avail. The washer door stays open when not in use. LG customer service? It does not exist. We will never buy an LG product ever--not even an alarm clock! I would give it zero stars if I could. We have a smelly washer filled with mold and mildew. We are going to buy a new washer today. Good riddance, LG!

My 1st review 10/2020 was not acknowledged... My issues with LG was with my dryer shortly after I purchased my combo from Sears in 2004. Over the last year or so our washing machine has been leaking more and more. The mysterious thing is that it’s intermittently. Well, it finally decided to go all the way crazy & water was spewing from the bottom of the washing machine from somewhere. By the time we noticed it our washing area and hallway was completely flooded upstairs and water was leaking all through our house downstairs. It was horrible! I’m now stuck with a washer we don’t want anymore out of fear of flooding & knowledge the manufacturing company will be no help. After researching I see I’m not alone, but nothing has yet to be done by LG. Life’s not Good LG!

Awful. This dishwasher has the same problem that I keep seeing from others. Namely that it wont cycle and starts beeping. I clean the filter, rearrange dishes, change the cycle and it doesnt matter. With a very small load it will sometimes fully cycle but with a full load this dishwasher NEVER cycles. This was fairly expensive model and that investment has been flushed away. It was part of a full LG appliance buy and now I have to replace with a different brand. Very disappointing and Ill never buy another LG appliance again of any kind.

On September 7th, 2018, Home Depot Canada delivered an LG LFXC24726S refrigerator I had purchased on August 30th. I had researched refrigerators prior to going to Home Depot and relied on the salesman’s recommendation for either the LG or Samsung 3 door French style with external water and ice. Periodically during the first 9 months the defrost cycle seemed to run too long and things would be warm in both the refrigerator and freezer. On July 28th the unit stopped cooling completely. 4 hours later it started cooling again. Late afternoon on July 29th it stopped cooling again and I lost the contents of the refrigerator and the freezer that night. After repeated calls to LG on the morning of July 30th and having to send pictures of my invoice from Home Depot I was finally put through to the appliance repair service that handles their warranty repairs as a “priority”. The earliest anyone could come to look at it was 2 days later on August 1st. On July 31st the unit started cooling again. The technician could not determine what the problem was on August 1st so he decided to order a new main board. Cooling was intermittent after his visit and then the unit started freezing items in the refrigerator. On August 8th the part arrived and the repair service set up to replace the board on August 15th. The same technician did the repair and he was done in 20 minutes. The refrigerator worked fine for the 15th and the 16th but sometime in the early morning hours of August 17th it stopped cooling again completely and for the second time in less than a month I have lost hundreds of dollars of food. LG uses a repair service which does not work on the weekends and does not provide any emergency service. After more than an hour on the phone and on hold with LG’s Canadian customer service in Panama, I had to start over from scratch and send pictures of my purchase invoice AGAIN. Disgusting customer service and I am left with no refrigerator, garbage bags full of spoiled food and nothing more than an email sent to the same repair company with instructions for me to call them on Monday and book a service appointment. LG is aware of the issues with their sealed systems and linear inverters and there currently is a class-action lawsuit on behalf of consumers. How disappointing that they have not done anything to correct the problems and consumers are left with a useless piece of junk in their kitchen. Also very disturbing that Consumers Reports continues to recommend these defective refrigerators. I have subscribed for years to Consumers Reports magazine and believed their testing results but no more. DON’T BUY LG!

During the summer of 2010, my wife and I made a decision to remodel the kit
During the summer of 2010, my wife and I made a decision to remodel the kitchen after having extension plumbing work done to our home. As part of that, we wanted new appliance and bought the LG refrigerator because it was the size we need to fill the space. A couple of years after we purchased it, it stopped cooling. I called LG and a customer service person told me to unplug it for at least six hours and plug it back in. I did and that seemed to fix the problem. It also had some type of water leak with the ice maker that would allow a large sheet of ice to build up to the point in the bottom the door would no longer close. I was able to remove it without much difficulty, but this happened continuously until the water line to the unit froze and burst and I turned off the line completely. In August of 2015, our refrigerator quit cooling and we contacted the company to see if it was still under warranty and we were told the compressor and sealed system was covered for seven years. This is a parts only warranty. They gave me the name of four repair companies and I contacted the one closest to me. The first tech looked at it and said they would have to send someone else out. I paid him for the call $75 and he left. The next tech came a few days later and quoted me a price of $275 to replace the compressor and the evaporator, but told me LG refrigerators had a history of leaking in the tubing in the walls and if that was in fact the problem, it could not be fixed. He told me to contact LG and begin the process of getting the parts. This began a two month struggle of phone calls back and forth between myself, LG and the repairman. No matter who I called, they said I needed to talk to the other one. The repairman eventually stopped taking my calls and after weeks of trying to get help, an LG customer service representative told me he informed the company he would no longer work on their products, a lie on someones part because he fixed my boss refrigerator a few weeks after that. They told me to contact another person on the list, so I went to the next closest person to my town, who refused to touch it because someone else had already looked at it. It was October 27 before LG was able to get A&E to get a repairman out. They told me I would not have to pay for the call because of the inconvenience it had created. He replaced the dryer in the back and the next day, I was once again able to put food back into it.Around December 14, my wife noticed the refrigerator was again not cooling. I contacted LG and they contact A&E, who couldnt get anyone out until January 12. The repairman didnt show up on the 12th and when I called, they didnt have the appointment in the system. They rescheduled for the next week. When the repair technician arrived, he called his supervisor to say it looked like the wrong type of dryer (dye dryers help them diagnose where leaks may be) had been put on the unit. They suggested he hook a freon tank to the unit and heat it with a welding torch and listen for the leak. He didnt hear anything and suggested replacing the compressor and evaporator. He was told not to do anything to the unit because they wanted another technician to come out and look at the unit to try and find the leak. (The company never noted any of this in their system and the tech says he doesnt remember the call.) He apologized to me and told me he felt the leak was in the walls of the refrigerator and couldnt be fixed. A few days later, two techs arrived at the house and my frustration level had reached a boiling point. He asked me what had happened with the previous visit, I told him and he called his supervisor. That was when we found out no notes were taken on the previous call. He then suggested replacing the compressor and evaporator and I took my frustration out on him.He was the tech who came in October and defended the fact he put in the right evaporator. He said if there was no visible sign of a leak during the last visit, then the leak was in the walls of the unit and could not be fixed. He advised me to call LG and felt they needed to honor their warranty, which I did. The customer service representative said they couldnt do anything until the tech filed his report. She never gave me any impression the problem might not fall under their warranty. I left the tech a message and he talked to a supervisor who said they would come out and replace the compressor and evaporator, but it would be the last visit made to my home on this issue. He told me to call LG and get the compressor and evaporator shipped to my home. I did and they promptly connected me to A&E to set up the service call. (I never received the replacement parts.)When the tech arrived a few days later, he called a supervisor and they told him to hook up the sealed system and check gauge readings. There was talk about a blockage in the lines. After several minutes, the tech disconnected the gauges, the call ended and he told me if the line was blocked it was in the walls of the unit and was not repairable. At this point, I contacted LG and was connected to the executive services office in Huntsville, Alabama. I spoke with a woman there who was pleasant at first, but then informed me the lines in the wall are not part of the sealed system. I told her there was no way to repair them because they were literally sealed in the wall. She then proceeded to tell me it was my fault for not reading the warranty information on the unit completely. I have owned LG Cell phones and other electronic products and was always pleased with how they worked. As a home appliance company, they are terrible. I paid more than two-weeks pay to buy this refrigerator. My last refrigerator I paid $350 for and it lasted nearly 15 years. If LG is the only company to make refrigerators in the future, I will search antique stores and look for an old fashioned ice chest and become friends with the ice man before I put another one of their products in my home.

Compressor failure on a 18 month old $3800 LG refrigerator. We purchased what we thought was a top of the line highly rated refrigerator. After less than 18 months the compressor failed. LG gave me an authorization and local authorized service centers, each one telling me that the compressor (10 year warranty) must come from LG and there is a 4 month backorder and they wouldnt want to do it, because LG doesnt pay them for their time. I found the LG indicated upgrade compressor online and a service tech, $900+ out of pocket for parts and labor. LG offered $650 for parts, labor and food loss and then called me and rudely reneged. Purchased an LG side by side refrigerator in October 2016 with an extended warranty. Last week 7/20/20 I noticed a warm freezer and warm refrigerator temp. I called LG to schedule a service call and was told August 4 was the next availability. Also was told that was the best they could do. I researched area authorized LG repair and found Sears appliance repair. When I called they had told me July 28 was their next available date. I called LG back to let them know, I was told that dispatch could not be changed even after I found the earliest available date from a factory authorized repair center. Sears told me that warranty would have to be submitted directly to LG by me after repair and bill was taken care of. Sears was great. They came earlier than expected, had the parts on the truck and all was fixed in a couple of hours. We paid the bill and contacted LG for warranty claim. Not only was my wife put on hold for hours when asking for a supervisor, but when a supervisor finally connected we were vehemently denied any warranty. The reasoning was that the company they dispatched did not do the repair. When I explained the situation I was told I should have received a repair work order authorization number by the dispatcher for Sears which I never received or was told about. I also suggested that I pay for labor and asked if LG would at least pay for parts (which I still have) and again was denied. Roughly $550 in parts, $450 in labor and it looks like I will be handling the full amount with no resolution. I do not understand why LG did not help better in this situation. I found that these linear compressors have a high failure rate, have multiple class action lawsuits working against LG and poor customer service help from the start to help me rectify this problem. I just do not understand.

Steam washer Model #WM2688 - My son gave me an LG Tromm washer and dryer set for a Mother’s Day/Birthday present in 2008 and I was thrilled! In the beginning it was so quiet I wasnt sure it was running! About 6 months ago I noticed it was getting a bit noisier. Then it suddenly started rocking during the spin cycle. My husband checked it for level and it was perfect. We manually changed the spin cycle to Medium in hopes it would no rock during the spin cycle. It got progressively louder as time went on. I want to add that there are only two of us and we do 4-5 loads of laundry per week. This machine was not working hard for us. It finally began making a different sound and was getting even louder. I called for a repairman. He tried out a couple of cycles and said, Your bearings are going out. I asked if that was normal, for a 7 yr. old washer and he said, “I see it all the time. Sometimes at 5 yrs. and sometimes at 10 yrs. When I asked what it would cost to repair he said he would write out an estimate for me. When he handed it to me I thought hed made a mistake. $829.22! Its a $900.00 machine new! He then said he wanted to look and see if anything was under warranted. The stainless steel drum had a lifetime warranty so my bill dropped to $531.20. What kind of a company sells a machine that much to repair? Repairman told me that he sees this all the time and rarely does anyone pay to have them fixed. I dont consider a $900.00 washing machine exactly a throwaway! I am thoroughly disgusted with a company that continues to build a product with a known problem leaving its consumers to pay for it! I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER LG PRODUCT. I will also make sure that no one that I know doesnt either.

Purchased this machine in 2010 for over $800. I was told it was fabulous. It was - for a few months. But then we noticed that our clothes were no longer smelling clean. In fact they come out smelling worse than when they went in dirty. There is just nothing that can prepare you for getting out of the shower, grabbing a clean towel and experiencing a smell so sour and disgusting, that you feel as though you need to shower again. They told us that we need to maintain our machine every month. What??? Is this a joke? The energy efficient uses less water machine they bragged about - we are now being told we should run 1 to 3 cleaning cycles, with special, expensive chemicals, EVERY month. EVERY MONTH for the life of the machine. I must do this in order to have clean laundry. Am I the only person who finds this absolutely insane??? I now have to take more effort and money every month to maintain my machine, then it actually took to do my laundry with my old machine. If doing my laundry with an LG washer is going to take this much effort... I might as well drag my laundry down to the creek and scrub it on some rocks. That would actually be quicker and more cost effective and, work better!!! I have called customer service (a bunch of foreign speaking people) numerous times. This last time was the last straw. They do not care for your opinion. They speak to you as though you are the problem. When I explained to the guy that the entire area around my bleach cup has completely rusted - guess what - thats right - it is my fault, and no one else on the planet has had this problem. I called knowing that my warranty is long gone but I told him I just wanted to give them feedback from a consumer about how I felt about their product. But, as you already know he doesnt care. He kept telling me to wash out my machine, and that I dont understand how to maintain my machine. I guess judging from the 100s of 1- star reviews, and similar complaints no one else on Earth knows how to do that either. So here is the bottom line. I own a business cleaning resort units. I have dealt with every machine known to man. I have only ever seen one other machine as junkie as this. I will NEVER buy another LG washer. I will go back to old school, agitator... where my clothes are actually coming out clean, and I never, ever, ever had to wash my machine to keep my laundry coming out the way it is suppose to. PS - you will want to avoid the Whirlpool/Maytag (both the same company now) top loaders as well. They are just as big of a nightmare!!

We bought all new higher end LG appliances. Dishwasher, range, refrigerator, and microwave. Fridge had a catastrophic failure at just over one year, luckily we bought the extended warranty. Then the ice maker died at about year 4. The micro broke in the first year (under warranty) and again at about year 3, (I was able to fix). The dishwashers rack rusted out at about year 2, again warranty and then the dishwasher just died at year 5 and may be too expensive to repair. The range has been problem free. The entire line of appliances appears to be inferior with regular breakdowns. Now that we are out of warranty we will replacing with different brands as things continue to die. All in all we are very dissatisfied and will never buy LG again.

I bought a home last year which came with the LG TruBalance top load washer
I bought a home last year which came with the LG TruBalance top load washer. I began having issues immediately with the “UE” code. It did not matter how large or small the load was, this code would come up every time I used the machine. I was constantly having to babysit the machine, re-distributing the clothes over & over again just to finally get one load done, taking close to 2 hours sometimes longer just to do one load. A lot of times I could see dry spots on the clothing, or I could see that the clothing was not clean. I had a repairman come who told me the issue was the computer software & that it would be better for me to replace this part rather than buying a whole new machine. I purchased the part & for a month I had no issues. Then the machine began to leak water from underneath, soaking my floor & also my dryer. Also, the dreaded “UE” code made a comeback, causing the machine to continue to refill with water repeatedly, start to spin, then flash the error code. I am so fed up with this machine that I have ordered a new Whirlpool with agitator just like I used to have. This LG is by far the worst machine I have ever owned, & I will not be buying any other LG appliances in the future.

Updated on 08/23/2019: After almost two month of not having a working refrigerator, today, finally, LG provided me with a solution. Which I do not satisfied at all. They disregard all the factors that because of their poor product quality, how much time and money I have wasted. It sounds that they were doing me a favor, and I should be appreciated. Again, they do not respect their customers. They do not care if they are going to lose a customer. They are so arrogant and not considerate. Their customer service is the worst of the all. Be careful if you decided to buy a LG product.Original review: Bought a not cheap LG refrigerator 2 years ago, it stopped working after two years. I called customer service, they came to fix it pretty fast. But two weeks later, my refrigerator stopped working again. I called customer service again, but this time, the technician never show up on time, and cancel the appointment without telling me. I still have a not working refrigerator at home as of right now. I tried to contact LG representative again, they cut my chat in the middle of our talking. Im extremely disappointed for LG product and services.

LG Direct Drive Balance Washing Machine is the Pits! I purchased my washer
LG Direct Drive Balance Washing Machine is the Pits! I purchased my washer and dryer in the Spring of 2015. Here it is the Summer of 2016 and I am having problems with the washer. It takes me a week to finish a load of laundry. I keep getting a UL code. The clothes do not come out clean. They come out more wrinkled after the washer. Not very pleased. Real waste of $3000.00. Customer service could care less. Says washer is out of warranty. Evidently there is a problem because of all the complaints. If you buy this machine you better get a really good extended warranty. Never again.

I bought the LG dryer and a front load LG washer a few years ago. I have had many problems with both and when I have called lg customer service I have been treated horribly. I could barely understand the person as they clearly didnt speak English as their first language. I even told them that I would be filing complaints against them only to be told to go right ahead!! They could care less about their customer service ratings! I have also had a difficult time finding a repairman that works on LG and the same goes for trying to find parts locally. I was told that they didnt carry LG PARTS and it would take a very, very long time to get the LG PART in stock!OWNING THE ABOVE LG APPLIANCES HAS BEEN AN ONGOING NIGHTMARE!! All of the lettering on the washer rubbed right off right away as if the letters were erasable! I called their customer service only to spend 45 minutes and getting absolutely nowhere!! I was told to not touch the few letters were left as the warranty had expired! I asked if they could send me replacement letters that I would apply myself. As this was a defect and the warranty expiring shouldnt even be factored in! NOT a warranty issue! Its a product defect!! Typical LG customer service... they didnt care that it was a product defect! Was told I could purchase the letters from them!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!! I had hoped to be an isolated case?? Only to learn of many more cases like my experiences!!! (on multiple websites like this site!!) However, on a positive note... We have 4 LG flat screen tvs and knock on wood, theyve been awesome!!?!? JUST SAY NO TO LG APPLIANCES!!!

Water dispenser for drinking water, ice cube dispenser and french door with temperature indicators with touch screen monitor to change settings depending on my need. I am very much satisfied with the refrigerator except that I need to change the filter every 6 months. Other than that it is very much fulfilling my needs. Price was reasonable when compared to others and availability when I needed and also in the physical store so that I could have a look before buying.

In 2008 we bought an LG range. On the first cleaning, soot went into the oven door window. The same thing happened with the replacement range. LG then gave us a better range at no additional charge with the understanding that we could make no further claims. We havent, but the third range had the same problem. Additionally, the whole back of the range moves when you try to turn something on. Now theres a crack there caused by the mere force of turning on a burner. Those burners take a long time to do small kitchen tasks like boil water. I bought an electric kettle for that. The range takes a full 10 minutes to get to 420. This is an extremely disappointing product.

I have owned this washing machine for three years, It has been reliable and I have not had any issues and would repurchase as well as recommend the product to my family and friends. It is also easy enough to understand that I have been able to teach my 11 year old daughter on how to use it!
