LG Range Model LREL6323D
Purchased a LG washing machine on Nov. 17, 2016. Broke on Dec. 2. Had the repair man from LG out to fix it. Lasted 2 1/2 loads. Broke again. LG customer service gave me the runaround, but finally got the repairman out again. Replaced 3 parts. Machine failed again after 1 1/2 loads. Contacted LG. Got the runaround again, could not get LGs own repair man to come look at it. Finally have a 3rd appt. for Dec. 12. Dont have ANY confidence in LGs repair staff. Hoping after 3 fails they will replace the unit. Communication between customer service and their repair staff is TERRIBLE! Would I buy another LG machine? Probably not. All the their customer service can manage to do promptly and correctly is say Im sorry for your inconvenience. Even then, Im pretty sure they dont mean it.
Don’t buy an LG refrigerator in Anchorage, Alaska! No service company in Anchorage will do LG sealed system warranty work. When our 5.5 year old LG refrigerator (model LFX21976) stopped cooling and freezing, we called an Anchorage technician to come check it. He determined that it had a compressor failure which is a sealed system issue a warranty item. He called LG to establish a claim. The LG contact ran through a diagnostic and told our tech to first replace the inverter control (not a warranty item). Our tech refused, telling LG that he was not going to charge us for work that he knew was not the problem. He persuaded the LG contact to record our claim as a sealed system (compressor) issue. Our techs company refuses to do sealed system warranty work for LG.When we called LG to confirm the warranty repair and find out who would do LG warranty work, we were given 3 names. One was the company we originally contacted. The second advised that they too will not do LG sealed system warranty work. Only the third, located in Palmer, AK, would do the work. He charges a $35 travel fee for the hour drive to Anchorage. Having no choice, we made an appointment. He confirmed the sealed system compressor problem. Because we would be traveling, he took our refrigerator to his shop so he could work on it there when the part arrived. We expected the work to be completed when we returned. When he contacted LG to have the part shipped, he was told to replace the inverter board and main PCB not warranty items. He did this work without contacting us. He said he had to go with what LG said even though he and LG had both been told that the inverter board and main PCB were both functioning correctly. When we returned, the Palmer tech said, Good news. It wasn’t what he thought and it did not cost as much as the warranty work would have. It did cost $438.95. He brought our refrigerator back in a few days but advised not to plug it in until the next day so the fluids could settle. We plugged it in; it did not cool or freeze. The same problem we originally reported. When he came back several days later, he concluded that it really was a sealed system compressor problem. It then took more than two weeks to get the part. He did the repair. The refrigerator again works. But the warranty only covers the part, not the $450 labor. We were without use of our refrigerator for two months and paid for unnecessary work. A 5.5 year old refrigerator should not fail! Based on other reviews maybe we were lucky to have it work that long! But the lack of service companies willing to do LG warranty work is reason not to buy an LG refrigerator in Anchorage, Alaska.
Have had no problems with my LG Washer and Dryer that I purchased 1/2017. I am 5 ft. 7 1/2 inches tall and it is still hard to get all the clothes out of the washer as tub is so deep. Other then that, I have been well satisfied.
We purchased our LG washing machine 11/18 from Best Buy. We opted at the time to not get the extended warranty, since in our 50 yrs of marriage, this was only our 4th set... After washing clothes last weekend, I noticed that the agitator was not attached. I called my repairman, thinking that somehow the agitator had disengaged from the transmission, and it would be s simple fix. What he found was a broken transmission shaft... The broken part being the size of my little finger, completely broken in half! The cost to repair $300. We launder approx. 7 loads of clothes/ week, none of them being very large.. How did this happen!! CR gave this machine a good rating, I call it a piece of junk! This will be the last LG product that I will purchase.
LG french door refrigerator with bottom freezer - The unit is only 1 1/2 years old and one of the fans blowing from the freezer started sounding like a 747 on takeoff. I called LG, but was told it was out of warranty and tough luck. They even had the nerve to insist it was my fault for excess ice build up causing fan to fail. I wont waste any more money repairing this thing. I will get a different brand. Do not buy LG refrigerators! They will break your heart and bust your wallet.
I really loved this refrigerator (LMXS30776S), lots of space, extra drawer for drinks, and the black stainless steel. We bought it 5/22/16, and the compressor went out on 6/29/18... we bought the extended warranty (thru HH Gregg). They had someone out 7/3 who said they werent qualified to fix the compressor, and another company stood us up altogether. After hours spent on hold, and the warranty company saying its now in a diff department... I ended up live chatting with LG who gave me a list of their approved companies - out of 6 I finally have someone coming out to hopefully fix the compressor on 7/20. We paid $3461 (tax & warranty included) for this beautiful piece of worthless metal! I understand things break, but I think its strange that some companies refuse to work on LG refrigerators or arent qualified. I would never recommend this refrigerator.
April 1, 2016 I purchased an LG French Door Refrigerator from Topline Appliance with 5 yr extended warranty from New Leaf Svc Contractors. Within the first 2 yrs, the compressor died and we lost all our food. The Warranty co only replaced up to $200 for our food loss. The compressor was replaced and the refrigerator worked fine for a while. In Jan 2021 the display stopped working on the door panel. Contacted LG and together we got it working. On 2/19/21 the ice maker stopped working. After multiple attempts to troubleshoot via the manual, and with LG representative, I contacted Topline, they put me in touch with the warranty co for repair. I finally heard back from them on 2/25/21. The repairman, ED came out on 3/3/21 didnt have the right parts to fix it, so order multiple parts to be delivered. He came back a 2nd time on 3/11/21 and replaced the computer board along with other parts and it still didnt fix the ice maker. He put in a request for a replacement door or replacement refrigerator. I was told the door was on back order and should be delivered by 4/4/21. Never heard from anyone and the door never came. On 4/12/21 I called New Leaf because the display stopped working. Several troubleshooting attempts failed. On 4/27/21 Jordy at New Leaf stated it door could take up to 12 wks and that it would take care of the issue with the display as well. He told me he would contact LG & call me back, never got a response back. Multiple attempts to contact New Leaf (Jordy) & LG regarding the status of the door were ignored again. 5/7/21 after multiple holds, I finally spoke to Jessica, supervisor with New Leaf. She told me her hands are tied because the door cant be outsourced & has to be specially made by LG directly. She put me on hold while she contacted LG to get further information regarding the status of the door. After many inconsistencies with LG, she said she would look into it further and get back to me. Here it is 5/17/21 and still no word from LG or New Leaf. I blame LG & New Leaf for poor customer service as well as a product that does not live up to its supposed 20 yr life span or price tag of $2500. If I dont get a response from them or receive the door by 6/3/21, My next step will be the media & my attorney. I DO NOT recommend LG French Door Refrigerator! I do however, love the black stainless, and the large capacity it holds.
I have purchased an LG double door refrigerator about 2 years ago in 2010. Even not the full 2 years have passed, it has started giving cooling problem. Before two months ago I had made a complaint, though the technician has contacted me and visited my house within 48 hours. He said that it requires changing the gas pipe and refilling the gas and that could not be possibly done at home. The product will go to workshop of the company and after that, they have taken approximately a month just by saying the transport man is not there, so we are unable to meet your complaint. I have made calls for a hundred times to them. After it came from workshop, not even 25 days have passed, it has started giving the same problem. At this time when I had made a complaint, they are unable to say again if it is chargeable or not, no proper feedback. I am feeling like I have done a major mistake by purchasing an LG product.
We bought the top of the line LG Front Load Washing Machine 3 years ago. We had a repairman out 1 mo ago to service our LG dryer and while he was here he said our washing machine was about to go. He pointed out the loud noise we heard was from the drum that was about to disconnect from the machine. One month later, thats exactly what happened. When I called LG they said the drum was covered but the service was not. I called two of the recommended service repair people and the estimates I received were $695 and $800. I called LG back and asked if this was typical of a 3-year-old washer. I was told it was not their fault that I didnt buy the extended warranty! They do not stand behind their products!
I purchased a L.G. refrigerator model # LFXS29766S approximately 5 years ago. 2.5 years after purchase it completely failed and stopped working. We waited approximately 3 weeks for it to be prepared and life went on. Now 2 years later the same problem has occurred and my family is once again without a refrigerator. This time however dealing with the customer service department had been horrible. I have now been without a working refrigerator for 3 weeks and have not heard from L.G. once. I have spent several hours on hold on many days just trying to get some help. Completely disappointed with the products life span. You cant sell a product for nearly 3,000 dollars and have it not work. Based on the current situation I find it difficult to believe that I will EVER purchase a L.G. product again. Currently Ive been placed on infinite hold because I asked to speak with a supervisor. Thanks Shawn/Sean # ** for your amazing lack of help and waste of time.
I bought this 2 years ago and had problems from the first load. The bottom slide out rack CONSTANTLY goes off track and can take 5-6 times to get it back on. Not an easy task when you are bent over and it is full. Dishes are always spotty, have tried every cycle and lots of different detergents and rinses. Everything is spotty and has a slippery feel to it. I end up using the rinse cycle only after doing a load and then they dont dry. More times than not I just hand wash the dishes. QUICKER, MUCH MORE ENERGY EFFICIENT AND DONE RIGHT. DO NOT BUY THIS CRAP.
This machine (LG wt5480cw) has been nothing but trouble. The detergent draw stayed full of water after every load I purchased the extended warranty thru LG coverage until 2019. They sent out a repairman 4 times finally fixed it. Now the tub will not drain completely so I called for repair. This is their customer Julies reply. We have been out there 3 times under the warranty and I have used up the money on those other calls even though they were for the same problem. They kept opening a new claim number (which they should have not done it was the problem). Now we are going to buy out the service contract for $267.00 leaving me out in the cold when I thought I was safe until 2019.So what is the sense in buying extended warranty if they deduct the service calls from the original price of the washer until it surpasses it purchase price then youre screwed. I could have paid for the service call without their RIP OFF EXTENDED WARRANTY CRAP and been ahead. Now I have $267.00 to replace a $900 washer. Please do not buy the extended warranty or better yet DO NOT BUY ANY LG PRODUCTS.
Updated on 6/4/2020: They keep posting that they are here to help and I provided my number three times and no one calls!!!! I’ll be fair and retract post but so far I’ve received no call after a message to private message them. I was also supposed to get a call a week ago for food spoilage and nothing!!!!Original review: I am on my third LG counter depth fridge and the compressor went on all of them. 3 fridges in 6 months. Home Depot was willing to change our fridge and refund my money and that’s what I am doing. Do Not buy an LG fridge. Don’t. Just don’t...Oh and my 1000 dollar dishwasher needed a new control panel in a week. Sealed it out. Lg reviews that are good are usually people for most part that had their fridge for a couple months. Then if you need repair good luck trying to speak with someone that doesn’t sound like a robot and they don’t speak English. Just don’t do it!!!!
Our $ 2400 LG French door refrigerator and freezer was delivered on Feb 1, 2011. It died on 12/14/11. Its been 27 days since our ice maker stopped, then the freezer, then the refrigerator. Lost hundreds of $ worth of food and medicine. Customer service with the repair co. is a joke. Every day its a different reason why they cant get to us. LG is waiting for them to call or they are waiting for LG to OK the extended warranty. And we even have two service contracts, one with Home Depot and one with LG. I guess we are just at their mercy and have to wait.
Cheap Plastic part. I have a three year old LFXS29766S LG Refrigerator. About 90 days ago we scheduled a service call with LG to replace the water and ice dispenser assembly ACQ85430259 which had cracks and other damage to the plastic. This was not warranty, we paid for the part and the service. About a week and a half ago we noticed that some of the plastic had crumbled away again for no reason we know of. We are an older couple with no children or teenagers that might be destructive. We called the infamous LG support number and at first were told that the part would be covered by the warranty on the part, not the warranty on the refrigerator. Since then we have been getting the run around. Phone calls and explanation in each call. Three days ago we got a customer service rep in Ohio and not Bangladesh. She said she understood and would expedite the situation and someone would call us. Never happened. I called again and got Bangladesh again and after painful explanation she said the part was out of the 90 day warranty by 5 days so we would have to pay for the replacement. I explained that I would never pay for anything from LG again. Instead I will post pictures of the problem all over the internet to make people aware of doing business with LG.
I bought LG range LSE4611 costing me over $1400 dollars. Not even done paying payments on it. It melted away like plastic on fire. We had a pot of water on it. Somehow the heating element malfunctioned and melt the glass top. It seems as this range has no safeties. Don’t waste your money on this brand.
Three weeks ago, I discovered my LG refrigerator was failing to keep foods cold and frozen. A repairman from Stover, Evey, and Jackson came, brought a loaner, and took the model to diagnose the problem in their local shop. It is not repairable because the capillary tube is blocked and no part can be ordered from the company to complete the repair, per Bob, technician. This model has a 7 year sealed system warranty.I have tried to contact LG via email, with little success. The phone customer service is very poor and time consuming. A supervisor gave me a bad email address after calling us at 6am (no apology). Does anyone have any suggestions to remedy this problem? I would like them to repair the unit or replace it, or at least refund a portion of our purchase price.
Weve had an LG washer (model WT5170HV) for about two years. We are having our second major problem with this machine. This time it is not stopping! It will start with saying 52 minutes for the full washing cycle and take almost three hours to complete. Needless to say, the repairman is coming out. I do not recommend purchasing an LG washing machine. Repair calls are expensive. If this repair is more than a couple hundred dollars, were dumping this machine and buying something else.
I purchased the LG Dishwasher LSDS4821ST on Nov 30, 2008. I have only used it 3 times since 2008. The dishwasher left too much water in the machine after drying the dishes. The dishes also were not clean nor were they dry. I did call for service during the warranty period only to be told that the left over water is normal, and that the dishes were air dried with a new lg system. The few times that I used the washer I had to clean the excess water at the bottom of the inside of the machine. The dishes were also wet. The last straw was when the dish soap dispenser would not open. That was in 2013, and I have not used it since. The LG customer service gives you the run-around. I have an LG washer and dryer with plenty of problems. Do not buy LG anything, not even a phone.
After just 5 years my $2000 LG Refrigerator two drawer freezer died. LG customer service is a hair pulling joke. Repair service said they could replace the compressor but it would not last. So after 5 years my LG refrigerator will go to the landfill. I picture all these beautiful refrigerators lined up at the dump. DO NOT BUY AN LG REFRIGERATOR. Joined class action suit.
I purchased an LG refrigerator about 3 months ago. The first week I had it the door In door kept popping open. Weeks later the freezer would build up ice and I had difficulty opening and closing the freezer. I contacted LG and they sent a repairman who did not fix my problem. LG then sent a repairman to fix the freezer. The day he left the freezer stopped opening. I am now unable to access my freezer to get food for my kids. I’ve had to go grocery shopping just to have food. I have called customer service several times and been promised that I would be contacted to schedule a service call. To date no one has called me despite 4 calls to LG. I even spoke to a supervisor on Tuesday who promised me I would be contacted and still no phone call.
We bought a front loading washer and dryer. About three years later, the washer is shaking so hard it sounds as if it will tear down the walls and cave in our floor. The washer shakes so hard, it moves across the floor knocking into other items as well as the dryer. We called LG and were told it is no longer under warranty, but shaking was due to an unstable floor. I told her the floor has not changed, only the washing machines performance. The representative stated that all of the washers shake a little, this was to be expected. I asked if there was a part that could be replaced to stabilize the machine. She said no, there was no such part.A few days later, I looked up an appliance repair company that works on LG appliances in our area. The repairman told me LG had this problem and it just needed the struts replaced. So we had them replaced. It was better, but not as stable as before, not like any of the previous washers Id had throughout my life. I trusted LG to be an upgrade in quality. It was not. After only six months, it is as bad or worse than before the struts were replaced.Additionally, weve put heavy duty pads underneath. It just walks right off the pads, tipping over as if it will fall on its side. This washer is worse than the old wringer type with the incredible noise and the bouncing and moving. My husband and I have to restrain it or turn if off. And like some of the other owners, it does have a stinky, moldy smell. Mold is not normal in a machine designed to clean. Ive been leaving the door open after each wash, spraying inside the drum with Lysol or Windex.Cleaning clothes is an effort toward good hygiene. Moldy water defeats that purpose. Yes, standing water creates mold, but what is wrong with a design that causes mold to proliferate like this. Perhaps Maytag, Kenmore, or GE could teach the engineers at LG something about designing for public use. If this were normal, as the rep would have us believe, it would seem appropriate to include these features in the sales material - LG Front loading washer has a normal smell of mold in the machine which naturally transfer to your clothes. Another very normal feature that astounds LG consumers is the washers ability to mimic a wild bucking bronco, leaping and jumping out of its stall. It is a relatively expensive purchase. Consumers expect quality to equal cost to equate value. I dont want to feel like I have been duped and bought a piece of trash. LG has changed my opinion of its products - washer & dryer, refrigerator, microwave, internet TV - I cant trust them no more! We believed that your Life is Good motto included us, not just you.
Updated on 06/24/2021: A lot has happened behind the scenes since I made the first post. LG stepped in and offered to set the situation right, so I gave them the opportunity to do so. As you will read here, not only did they fail to make things right, they ended up making it worse. I warn you now, it is not a short read. March 30-Must have gotten someone’s attention. An unidentified person (this is a trend) PMed me via Consumer Affairs (CA) and offered to address the situation. They asked for some info, including billing address for the original purchase. I gave info and waited.April 2- Offer to repair machine at their expense is forwarded to me through CA by an unidentified person. I agree to offer. Sometime after this point, LG orders 2 replacement parts, a new main control board and a display board. I am not sure why the control board was ordered, as it was obvious the display board was the problem. The display board is the problem on every one of these machines.April 6-I get a notification by text from a random number (never identified) informing me that I recently scheduled service for my machine to be performed on April 8. Only problem is, I didn’t schedule service. Someone from LG (never identified) took it upon themselves to schedule this service without consulting me as to whether this was an acceptable time. The text number this was sent from could not receive return calls or texts, and no contact information was available to reach out about this scheduled appointment. After some digging around on the LG site, I figured out that the service was indeed scheduled, and also found out at this time that the above-mentioned parts had been ordered (one part was on backorder) and shipped to the billing address I originally gave on CA. Only problem with this is that the machine is not at the billing address, therefore both the parts and the service tech were heading to the wrong address. If someone had contacted me when the appointment was made, I could have given the correct address. If some useable contact information was made available to me, or if anyone in this process so far had identified themselves, I could have shared the situation with the incorrect address. But none of those things had happened. I share this latest update with the unidentified PM contact on CA.April 7- A box arrives from LG. I open it to find a new control board. Not the display (the part that is actually broken) but the other random part. Turns out that the display board is on national backorder. Not surprising since the OEM display boards have a 100% failure rate. With every single unit of this model needing this part replaced, demand is clearly high.April 8-Tech Visit #1. The service technician calls me to tell me he is 10 minutes away. I then tell him that he is 10 minutes away from the wrong address. He finally gets to the machine (I was able to be there), swaps out the mainboard, figures out mainboard is not the problem. I knew this already. So did the tech before even doing the job. Once he determined the main board was not the problem, he swapped the original board back into the machine and left, planning to return when the display board arrived. Since the mainboard did not appear bad, he returned the new mainboard to LG. This would prove to be a regretful decision.April 13- New display board arrives. I contact service tech and he schedules the next day to come install it. April 14-Tech shows up for Visit #2 (the fact I am giving numerical designations to tech visits should tell you something) and installs display board. I am not at the house this time, or much of the remaining catastrophe would likely have been avoided. According to my wife, he swapped out the board, hit the power button to see it power up, packed up his stuff and left. He did no function check or system diagnosis whatsoever, just looked for the lights to power up. He also went into the LG service system and reported the repair job complete. It was not, and the fact that he did report it as such would create problems down the road. After tech leaves, wife loads machine and tries to run it. After about a minute, it shut down and gave an error code indicating no water flow. I get home and check water supply to make sure that we didn’t have that turned off. I will also mention at this time that I have degrees in both electronic and mechanical engineering, and have been working as a design engineer and troubleshooting technician for electro-mechanical systems over 30 years. So I was able to deduce that we had sufficient water flow, but the electric water valve in the machine was not turning on. I contacted the tech, and he informed me he would come by the next day and check it out.April 15- Tech comes back for Visit #3. During this visit I learned the tech was a refrigeration expert, and had limited experience with dishwashers. He was competent, just not that experienced with LG dishwashers. He figures out that he had plugged something together incorrectly. I am not clear whether this mistake was made during Visit #1 and the incorrect connection was made at the mainboard, or during Visit #2 and the incorrect connection was made at the display board. I suspect it was #1 and the problem was at the mainboard because one of the connectors he attached incorrectly was to the main water valve, thus the valve did not work, as I had identified. Wherever the problem, he swapped the connectors around, ran a diagnostic, declared it good, and left again. When we powered up the machine I could hear the water valve now working, but after about a minute, the same error code and shutdown occurred.April 15 Part 2-The tech comes back that night for Visit #4 (told you we needed numbering). I am there, and we spend quite a bit of time checking out the machine. I teach him a few things about how the systems operate, and using some of my electronic testing equipment we figure out that the system is not seeing a signal from the water flow sensor. Hoping sensor might be bad, the tech ordered a replacement sensor.April 20-Tech got part, and stops by for Visit #5. Flow sensor not the problem. He spends over 2 hours of troubleshooting, including 2 calls to the service center for technical support. They go through everything, including checking the wiring harness. Nothing bad with wiring, but the mainboard is not supplying power to the sensor. It was never admitted to me, but I will bet a month’s pay that when he incorrectly connected the plugs in Visit #1 or #2, the sensor power supply on the mainboard was damaged. If he had not already sent back the new mainboard (remember I said this would be a regretful decision?) he could have swapped in the new board and likely fixed the problem. But he didn’t have the parts, and he was eventually told by the Service Center to stop attempting repair and RMA the machine.April 21- An unidentified person contacted me by text to inform me that the Alternate Resolution claim was started. But I should be prepared for it to be denied because the computer system says that all parts are functional. Remember the tech incorrectly reporting the machine repaired after Visit #2? An explanation by myself containing actual factual information and logic did nothing to change the response.April 23- I receive a phone call from LG asking about how I rated the service I had received in early April. Because the tech had reported he completed the repair, the gentleman calling me had no idea the job was botched, and he wanted to know how I rated my service experience on my freshly-repaired and perfectly-operating LG dishwasher. I don’t think he was very fond of my answers.May 1- Received voice mail from someone at LG telling me I was to be offered a bit over $500 for my permanently broken $1k machine. It further instructed me to contact Shakiah M about payout. May 5-When I talk to Shakiah, I’m told the actual number offered is even less. After several back and forth discussions on both text message and email, I agree to accept the offer, as long as there is no legally-binding contract included. I am assured there is not.Side note: It’s bad enough that almost no one from LG ever identifies themselves, but I am even more amazed by the amount of correspondence throughout this process done by text message on a cell phone. Is this what we call professional corporate behavior in 2021? Text messages? What are we, high-schoolers? May 28- Finally get a written offer. And that assurance there is no legally-binding component to the offer? Not true. I must waive off all rights to pursue further action if I accept this offer.Let’s recap: I started this process with a top-shelf machine with a single defective part. A $200 replacement part and 15 minutes of effort to install this part would have fixed my machine. But thanks to the mistake made by the service tech, I now have a junk machine. And what is the offer from LG after three months of hassle to fix all of this? Half what it will cost to replace it. Now I have a choice. LG is so in breach of contract here (not the warranty, BTW) that I will almost assuredly win in court. But small claims court is a hassle. I have tried to give LG the opportunity to make this right, and they continue to fail me, and will no longer even respond to me.30 day deadline to accept offer is June 27, three days from now. If LG really wants to make this right, then they need to do something better than half replacement cost for a machine THEY BROKE. If not, looks like I will see them in court. And I won’t be suing for just the cost of the machine. Punitive damages will be added on as well, and I have high confidence in my case and my ability to present it. I have been an expert witness in court proceedings several times, so court does not faze me. I don’t want the hassle of it, but I won’t be treated as a pushover either. This is LG’s mistake, LG needs to fix it with a reasonable offer.Original Review: We bought an LG LDP6797BD dishwasher in 2018, with the intentions of putting it in our house being remodeled. We used it in our rental home for about 8-10 months before removing it from service and putting it in storage. It never got installed in the house, so after sitting for 2 years, we pulled it out of storage and put it in another rental property where it has worked flawlessly for 5 months. Now after a total service life of 13-15 months, we walk in the kitchen one day to find it dead. Wont power up, wont light up, wont reset. Looking at a few videos, I picked up a line filter. Not the problem. In fact, once I had it apart to change the line filter, I could see the red LED lighting on the board. So clearly it has power. Then after some more research, I find the web full of similar complaints. The number of purchasers with failures occurring, conveniently almost immediately after the end of their one-year warranty, is simply staggering. The Amazon listing for this dishwasher has 100% 1-Star ratings. Let that sink in. 100% 1-star ratings, I have never seen that on ANYTHING in my life. And especially not on an item that costs $1000. This design clearly has a significant design flaw somewhere. The number of instances of identical failure occurring within a span of 12-16 months of service life is not a coincidence, and this statement is coming from a highly-experienced engineer with 3 decades of experience in design and manufacture of electro-mechanical systems. I know better than to believe that any manufacturer can take products to market and NEVER make a mistake in the design cycle. But what that manufacturer chooses to do about it when mistakes happen is what defines a company. This machine has a major design flaw, LG knows it, and apparently has chosen to do nothing about it. And I guess they have a right to not do anything about it. Well, I have a right to do something about it as well. If LG continues to leave customers like myself that spent quite a bit of money on a clearly defective product, then it will be the last of my money LG will ever see. And I will go out of my way, every chance I get, to encourage as many people as possible to also not ever spend THEIR money on an LG product. This is site number 2 for the day, I wonder how many more times I can tell this story before the weekend is over?If LG believes that not addressing this issue will save them money, I can assure you it will not. They will lose far more money from me alone than what it would cost them to make this right with me. Add to that lost revenue the amount of money they will lose with all the people I convince to not ever buy LG as well, and this will quickly become an expensive mistake many, many times over what it would take to fix it. If everyone else being screwed does the same, we can make a statement that LG simply will not be able to ignore. LG, the ball is in your court.
Ever since we bought our LG Model LFX31925ST in Nov. 2012, the ice maker is leaking on. You cant get ice from dispenser because all ice are frozen together and now the water is leaking from under the refrigerator and its not because of the water supply. Both ends of the water supply are dry. Now lets talk about the clothes dryer. We have the tech out 4 times because the tub was bent and they would not replace it until the manager came out and now its taking 2-3 hours to dry a normal load of clothes. We have a new LG gas stove and dishwasher still in the box new but were thinking on selling them and getting another brand because the LG line of appliance is not worth the money you spend for them and the quality is not there.
We bought a very expensive LG French door bottom freezer, with an ice maker in the door fridge. It has never worked right. The ice maker was repaired 4-5 times during warranty. The compressor failed within 4 years, and it never keeps the right temperature, constantly freezing food in the fridge. We set it at 45-47, it does 30-32. We’re throwing away lots of vegetables ruined by freezing. Even worse, when we needed repair for the compressor, under warranty, we contacted LG. Their repairman came out and said he would order the part, and then we never heard from him again. Only one local vendor would work on it. The rest said they refuse to work on LG, there’s no support in the US. NEVER BUY AN LG APPLIANCE. THEYRE ONLY GOOD FOR ELECTRONICS!!!
The LG microwave we purchased went out on us after we cooked the first potato. We had the LG microwave no longer than 2 weeks and had troubles. After working with LG for almost a month to have them fix the microwave LG blames A&E and A&E says there is nothing they can do without LGs approval. This went on numerous times and 3 appointments with the tech. so no microwave for Thanksgiving. Now No microwave for Christmas. Warning for whom is interested in this product that buyer beware! Our Sears Technician said that this microwave seems to go out quickly. I am a General contractor and have been building homes for over 19 years. This has been the worst experience I have ever had. Sincerely, Curt with Nail it Down Construction
This problem dates back to April 2019. My 1 yr old LG Refrigerator stopped working so I called LG and they dispatched a Tech from A&E repair (Sears). The tech told me it was compressor and evaporator and would be about 1000 to fix. I told him I would contact LG as it should be under warranty. So he charge me 119 dollars and left. I called LG. They said it was in fact under warranty and shouldnt have been charged. They dispatched the same repair people 1 weeks later. So it now been 2wks. with no Refrigerator. Repair guy came and had to order the parts (why couldn’t he see the first guys diagnostic).2 more weeks without Refrigerator. Guy showed up and fixed the problem. Fast forward to July 15th 2019 dead refrigerator again, So I called LG. They assured me this would be fixed in a timely manner! Well they promised by the 31st and A&E confirmed it but to no avail, A&E rescheduled it for the 9th of AUG. Well after hours on phone they said they will come here on the 7th which is today. The guy shows up and looks at it, takes the back off and says we have more issues not just the compressor but the evaporator and he will need to order parts. So now it’s been 3 weeks and he can’t be back here until the 26th.We have been living out of ice chest to keep our food cold. We are a family of 4 so wasting a lot of time and money for ice, I am a heart patient and need to eat a certain way, so I can’t rely on fast food. This has been a complete nightmare. I spent over 2000 dollars on a product I thought was quality. On another note I purchased a LG 60 inch TV and it died 14 months later just out of warranty--1000 dollars down the drain. So much for Lifes Good.
Purchased stove, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator on May 07 2017. On 8/16/2020 our refrigerator stop working. Check the owner manual to see if there something we can but nothing, call LG customer service and was told that they need 48 hour for the repair to be approved, call this morning and was told that they have available 08/25/2020. This is unacceptable due to the fact that is almost brand new, we lost most of the food and by the way our dishwasher is not working either. Call two months ago and we was told that we need to pay for the repair, when I was told the the motor has ten years warranty and the error code that is giving is the motor.
LG TOP LOADER WT4970CW. This set was $1200 on sale and should have just bought a cheap one. It took me literally from 7am to 5 to wash a load because of off balance issues. Then it still wasnt done, clothes smelled like mildew so I emptied the washer and boxed it back up and returned it. I dont have time to babysit. DO NOT BUY THIS! Bought from Menards in Columbus, Indiana. I called LG at the request of Menards, just to find out that these issues are not uncommon.
We bought an LG Dishwasher, Washer & Dryer - BIG MISTAKE, 3 pieces of JUNK!!! The washer always spins unbalanced. Cant fix it! Then the bleach dispenser stopped working a year later. The door got real tight and started leaking. Called LG. Repair guy shows up just to find out whats wrong and order parts. Orders a new door. 2 weeks later, he shows up with a RED door - our washer is white. He says, Guess I should of checked the box. Two more weeks go by and we finally get a white door. Bleach dispenser still doesnt work. It washes OK but we hate it anyway!
We recently bought this machine and Im still not sure about all those fancy settings. But one thing that bothers me is that its so deep I cannot take the washed clothes out. Im 5 feet tall, and even standing on a step ladder doesnt help. I need to develop long arms!! The powder detergent did not get dissolved in the special tray and most of it stayed there.
New LG LMX28994ST. The fridge starts to buzz load at least one a day. LG tech has looked at it but because it has not done it when they were here, they will not replace it. I have a video of it and they have seen it, but there is nothing they can do. I was told to stay away from LG, but I never listened. Never again.
After reading all of the reviews that I just read, wishing I had read them BEFORE I purchased this $2,300.00 piece of JUNK! I have had nothing but trouble with my LG french door fridge from day one. Icemaker not working, no cold water dispensing, broken drawers now freezer not working. Loud sound from freezer, thinking it was going to catch on fire. The worst of it all is their customer service SUCKS!!! Purchased at HH Gregg. They suck also!!! We even purchased extended warranty!! I get nothing but the run around, it has taken me 6 weeks to get anything acknowledged. Still not fixed, and just received a letter saying there is a lawsuit against LG for this model. Surprise, Surprise!!! Never Ever will I ever purchase anything LG EVER!!!!
My husband, who does all the research, said that LG was a good brand, and so we got their refrigerator. We like the double doors and the ice machine on it. However, within two hours after it was opened up, we got an error message. LG replaced it, so we ended up getting a second refrigerator.
Ive had this refrigerator (model LFC23760SW) French doors freezer on the bottom for about 4 years. I like the design of the fridge except for one reoccurring problem. I have had to replace the door gaskets 3 times in four years. Not only is this very annoying but it is costly. The issue is when the doors (left and right) come together to make a seal, the left door gasket pull away from the door and tears. This is the same issue over and over. Clearly this is a design flaw. I just recently (within 3 weeks) replaced the door gaskets and the door gasket on the left has already begin to pull away from the door. I know I cant be the only person having this issue and I was hoping the LG company has come up with a fix for this problem. Their reply to my inquiry was brief and simple, no fixes reported to customer care were available, have a nice day. I would highly suggest everyone stay away from this model and others like it. Im staying away from LG products, period.
My boyfriend and I ordered a LG fridge online on June 25th for $1804.13. It was to be delivered on June 30th. My boyfriend left work to meet LG at our house. Two men took the fridge off the truck and out of the box and the back was damaged all smashed. My boyfriend told them we did not want that one and they took it back. LG never contacted us to when a new one would be delivered. I called them (on hold too long) and they told me they could not get another one here until July 11th. I couldnt believe it, I asked why so long and LG said that is the next date a truck could get to my location. I thought since it was their mistake maybe they should go a little out of their way for a customer, but no, there was nothing they could or would do. So 12 days without a fridge. We had to use a cooler just for water, milk and half for our coffee, buying ice constantly. We went out to eat a lot, which is really expensive. It was a nightmare! I called LG again and complained to a Manager/Supervisor and had to go through about an hour on the phone explaining the story over and over until I finally could get them to connect me with a supervisor and he was not very helpful but he finally said once the fridge was delivered LG would send me a check for $100.00 for my troubles, but I had to call back once the fridge was delivered. I asked why I had to wait and he stated that is their policy. I think they want you to forget about it once you get your new fridge. Well I didnt. I called back and asked for the same Supervisor, I did write down his name, Jerold. After being on hold again and explaining my story again to 2 different employees, I finally talk to Jerold and he said they will send me a check in the mail. Now it is Sept 6th and no check came in the mail.I called back LG asked to speak to Jerome, they couldnt get me Jerome, said they have a lot of Supervisors located all over and I would have to speak to whoever picked up my call. I was on hold for 20 minutes. A woman answered. I asked if she was a Supervisor, she said yes then she asked me for my phone # and put me back on hold for 5 min. She came back on the phone and said she didnt see my order. I then told her the whole situation and said maybe she should have asked me what the issue was before she put me on hold so quickly. She told me that there was no Jerome that worked there. I said it was the same # that I previously called, twice. Then I told her that the order was under my boyfriends phone # and I have the order # and the model # and sku #. She wasnt really listening, but looked up my boyfriends # and asked for the model # and said she saw no order for us.I couldnt believe it. The new fridge is in our kitchen that they delivered. I yelled at her, I just couldnt get over the way they treat customers. So I went on the computer and had a live chat on their website. The woman on the computer found the order under my boyfriends phone #. Maybe they should find a better way to keep track of orders (maybe by the order #) but she said that she had spoke to the woman, Supervisor, that I just got off the phone with and there is nothing they could do for me. Then said that they do not have a Jerome that works there and they do not give back any type of reimbursement or refund for bad service or unhappy customers. It is not their policy. I guess it not their policy to keep customers happy. It was their fault I went without a fridge for as long as I did. It was their fault I had to spend a lot more than I should have on food for two weeks, after giving them One Thousand Eight Hundred dollars.I think LG Supervisors do it on purpose, tell you to call back once the fridge is delivered, wait for a check in the mail, all tactics to make you give up. Well I didnt give up and it got me nowhere. LG also tried to say it was a Home Depot issue. Well Home Depot connected me to them, and why did a Supervisor from LG, Jerome, say he would send a check in the mail. I called Home Depot and they said they wouldnt do that, they would have reimbursed some of our payment. I have never been this angry but we spent a lot of money and hassle over this, and it is not over $100.00. It is about the way I was treated.
LG Refrigerator Model #LFX25991ST/06 - After three years of use, my LG refrigerator had a compressor go out. The technician told me that this was common with LG refrigerators in the first 3-5 years. What made matters worse, although the compressor is still under warranty, its replacement will take 5 days (seven with weekends) for delivery. If in fact this has become a common problem, replacement parts should be far more available than 5 days-unbelievable. To make matters worse, my family will be without a refrigerator for 7-10 days (it took two to get a technician to my house) and all items that were in the unit when the refrigerator broke perished. Well be living out of drive thrus until then. I cant comment on the repair because Im now waiting for the compressor (today is day four).
I have an LG front loader. 6 yrs. old. Never had a problem. The quality is excellent. A few minor things I would change, like the short bursts of water when filling. Cleaning is very good and they spin so dry that it cuts down on drying time in the dryer.
I bought a slightly used LG Refrigerator model # LFXC24726S. Had it for 3 months, still under warranty. Lost all of its refrigerant, spoiled the food inside. LG would not warranty the fridge because I did not have the original receipt. Called for repair, unrepairable (internal leak). Ok I get it never buy something that you got a great deal on because if its too good to be true it is a piece of junk. After dealing with the LG customer service department in the Philippines for three weeks I finally gave up and went out and bought a North American made fridge. So pissed at myself and LG Canada for buying someone elses junk. Although I did learn something after researching LG appliances. Theyre all junk and they have you and your money when you purchase one. Ill take a used car salesman over a LG appliance salesman any day of the week. You suck Lg.
I purchased a new LG Microwave Nov, 2018. It stopped heating during the coronavirus. I went to LG who said they might be able to help, but nobody ever called or emailed. They said unplug it and plug it back in thru Facebook. I called their recommended service provider and they said it would be cheaper to just get a new one. I waited a couple of weeks, and still havent heard so we had to go buy a brand new microwave. DO NOT BUY LG. All they had to do was fix it or refund me. This is absolutely the worst time to go without a microwave and have terrible service on top of it.
So disappointed. I always wanted a modern fancy washer and dryer with the round windows. I thought this was something really special. I just bought a new home and decided to treat myself to the new LG washer, dryer, and mini washer. Model #s PRODUCT # WM3670HRA, PRODUCT # DLEX3370W, PRODUCT # WD100CV. Day One, I washed my first load. Put my clean sheets on my bed. While in bed noticed a rough patch like DRIED SOAP. Hmmm. So I washed it again the next day and this time watched through the ROUND WINDOW. Noticed there was NO WATER to speak of, just a little dirty puddle, not enough to wash one foot. And then the rinse cycle, if you can call it that, same dirty puddle not enough to rinse a foot. Call LG customer service. All my fault. Oh our washers are state of the art, scientifically superior to wash clothes with very little water. And the King has no clothes. Finally checked out REAL reviews and heard the same story I experienced OVER AND OVER AND OVER. So DAY NINE, after washing several loads, water left in washer and mini washer, 1 hour 15 minute to wash a load I WENT BACK TO HOME DEPOT AND RETURNED ALL OF IT. Purchased a real washing machine GE. Thanks but no thanks. Youve been warned. Purchase at your own risk!
We bought our brand new LG front load washing machine 2 years ago. It already has a bad bearing. LG will not warranty it because I dont have an extended warranty. This is clearly either cheap parts, or terrible quality assurance on LGs part. Bearings shouldnt go bad this fast. Car wheels have bearings that last up to 200,000 miles. The customer service department there expressed that it wasnt really their problem, and continued to ask me to pay a deposit on service for the unit. Will never buy an LG appliance again.
I purchased this mid 2016. The compressor just went out. I called LG and Sears. The part is covered and not the labor. They only warranty for 1 year. Compressor is still under warranty but tech wants $650 to install. It is a $1300 refrigerator. It should have lasted longer than this. I have a new baby and a diabetic in the house. I dont have the means to repair. I am forced to using a ice chest and hoping the insulin will be ok. I am still paying on this piece of worthless junk. This should not happen to a fairly new product. Very disappointing. What happen to appliances lasting years before something went out. Really bad quality control. I expected more from LG!
My mother who lives in LA got a high tech LG fridge about 4 years ago which 2 months ago its compressor stopped operating and from that time she has made 6 different appointments with LG customers service to fix it! Every time they go and have look at the fridge and they say well, its the compressor and we dont have it with us!!! Thats all they do. Then my mom has to call them again and book another appointment which usually takes 2 weeks for them to appear, and the same story goes on! Its such a shame that the summer is going to finish and my mom couldnt use her fridge for 2 months. I wonder if LGs customer service has any ideas about living without a fridge in the summer time at all??? Its while my mom paid about $4000 for an useless huge box to sit in her kitchen! Thats not acceptable, frustrating and were not only gonna stop buying LG products, but also well get a lawyer to fix this problem ASAP!!!!
I bought the washer and dryer three years ago. Six months after the purchase the hot water stopped going into the washer so I just washed with cold. I had two techs check out this machine. One couldnt figure out what was wrong and the second told me I need a whole control panel. That was to the tune of $400.00 plus service call. Now you are wondering why I didnt get this cared for during the first six months. Well I had brain surgery and even had to learn to walk again so that washer was not my priority at that time. Guess Ill continue with cold water. Never again!!!
Purchased this refrigerator with high hopes due to the design and features but thats where it stopped. We have had numerous service issues about cooling and freezing over past 2 years and now they cannot repair. After calling for supervisor he tells me 2-3 more weeks for an approval to replace...we have been without this appliance working for 11 weeks with 8 repair visits. I will never buy anything LG builds ever again, horrible experience.
We have a model lfxs29766s French door fridge. The linear compressor just broke after only fours years. Apparently LG is very aware of this and their solution is to charge you $350 for a new compressor. Tech that came to the house says he replaces 4-5 of these compressors a day. Incorporate that additional cost into your evaluation because I think you can get a better fridge for that additional money....and it will happen to you.
The knobs are not safe just brushing against them just as other reviewers have said and you have gas leaking into your home-no safety lock position. The oven warms up to 500 degrees no matter where you set the temperature, I have burnt everything I put into this oven as I cannot calibrate to get a correct 350 degree which is at where most baking is done! There must be some website or news outlet to alert the public of this piece of junk produced by LG. Will not be buying nor recommending any product made by LG. I will be putting this on our Nextdoor website as there are lots of homes here in upper $$ that are buying and replacing appliances in their homes!
The ice maker fail to produce ice just a few months after buying the refrigerator. Luckily it was under warranty and a technician came out a few days later and made a quick repair. I purchased the refrigerator in 2009, and I get things fails with age. But it is scary when start to find small and large pieces of plastic in your mouth after drinking a glass of your favorite drink. In fact I swallow a large piece and almost choke. This type of problem may cause serious injury or death to a small child and old person. Check your ice maker.
Seal around bottom between freezer and upper part of refrigerator is of poor quality. It doesnt seal well and doesnt keep insects out. Otherwise, the device looks good and performs ok.
I purchased an LG dishwasher for my newly renovated kitchen, it was professional installed the first of May right before the final acceptance of the renovation. The plumbers tested the dishwasher and all appeared ok, I never had a chance to even use it once. On May 9th I walked into the kitchen to find three inches of water in the kitchen and dining/living rooms, with water pouring out from the dishwasher. It was inspected by the factory rep from LG that a clip on one end of water hose was missing and determined this was a factory defect. Since there was extensive damage to three Persian rugs floating in water, furniture and areas behind the newly installed cabinets I filed a claim with LG and after 4 months they still have not made a reasonable offer to reimburse me for the damages their defective product caused. Very very poor customer service. Will never purchase another LG product and would not recommend their products to anyone.
I have had to replace the ice maker on my LG refrigerator 3 times. I write this review so others do not have to go through what I have had to go through with LG. The cost each time for the part to replace is $135
I chose to purchase an LG refrigerator over other brands because this brand had what I was looking for at the time. LG has met my expectations. I would still consider purchasing an LG brand, but I would consider getting a different style. The features that I like most about the refrigerator is that it has a built in freezer, as well as an ice dispenser and water dispenser. I like to be able to have my fridge produce ice rather than going to buy ice or having to make it with a tray. The features that I dislike about the refrigerator is that after a while, the freezer component becomes very noisy when you open it. Another feature that I dislike would be that the ice dispenser becomes very frozen and the ice gets stuck together and I have to break off the ice pieces individually.
If there was a way to give this LG True Balance Top-load Washer less than one star I would do it. I absolutely HATE HATE HATE this machine. There is no sized load, small or large, that goes thru a complete cycle without the unbalanced signal going on. This is NOT a washer you can leave alone for any length of time. I am constantly standing over it to readjust the clothing in the load to prevent yet another rinse and the washers attempt to even out the load before the spin. Unless there is a fix for this, I will NEVER buy another LG product.
My husband and I purchased this top loading LG washing machine on January 2, 2019. Mid February 2020, as I was doing laundry, I heard an extremely loud noise. The washer had jumped all over, dented our wall and the frame of the washing machine was bent outward. The top was also popped off. The warranty was only 12 months, therefore out of warranty. The process that LG gives us for filing a complaint is extremely difficult. We have been given standard email responses. As of today, they have not contacted us to discuss the matter and resolve it.
Cleans very nicely but is just starting to get noisy. Love the ease of use and the rinsing it spot free. Perfect for a family of 4 but I can see its going to be too large when kids go to college soon. Modern looking, looks up to date. Wish I had gone with the stainless steel finish but that was much more money. I love the dishwasher but sometimes its too large like when the kids go away for weekend with friends.
I liked the LG brand initially and the refrigerator was on sale. Adjustable temperatures for desired food storage. Roomy storage and easy to disassemble to clean. Lower power usage for reduced electricity bill. But the lifespan of the refrigerator is not as long as desired. It did not meet my expectations as my older refrigerator outlasted this one by about 20 years.
All 5 stove control knobs have melted and deformed because they are plastic and located directly above the oven. LG customer service instructed me to find the oven model number and after pulling the oven out they then advised me that some ranges do not have the model number on them so they could not help me replacing the knobs. I’ve used the oven once. Don’t buy LG appliances.
My refrigerator (LSXS22423) a side by side is 2 years and 3 months old. Wasnt making ice Sunday and by Monday everything in freezer was thawed. The compressor is shot!! Really... 2 years??? I was told by a person who SELLS LG refrigerators that he wouldnt recommend them to anyone. Their compressors are known to die after about 2 years... Really?? He said even if you wanted to repair it they would use the same compressor model that failed and since so many of them are failing we are looking at a 3 to 4 month wait-list... Really?? I bought a whole new LG kitchen 2 years ago. My fault I did not read the reviews first. Totally my fault, but when you pay $1700 for a fridge you expect more than two years out of it. I had a GE before and had it for 18 years. Still worked when I bought my precious LG. I am a senior who has to watch his money and this situation just makes me sick. I dont deserve this nor do any of the other LG customers who have been screwed. Where is the Quality Control?? It is a crime and you should be ashamed. 2 years... REALLY?? Yeah, really!!!
I bought LG washer/dryer from Best Buy and had the 5-year service protection plan. I have had leaking problem and had Best Buy out two times. Two weeks ago, the washer started leaking. I found plastic pieces in cleanout. I contacted LG, who referred me to A&E Factory Service (nationwide). I called and they returned my call on a Monday. I then made appointment for Thursday. They called that day sick, so I had to make another appointment a week later (earliest and now 10 days after speaking with them). I called LG, who referred me to a local company. They came out the following Monday (now over one week). They turned the washer on and said the lifetime warranty stainless steel drum is warped. I said it is hard to bend them, so was it an original problem? They said it caused damage to seal. After paying them for diagnostic trip, he said I have to pay for all labor and any other part, except wash drum. Okay, he approved using washer if I was okay with small leaking. Appointment was set for three days later. I used the washer and it turned into a gusher. He came back that evening and said that drum ripped front gasket. He will pay for that. Meantime, I called LG. They said that drum suddenly becoming warped is not likely, but it could happen. I said it has been this way since we had it. It has always been loud and it vibrated more than our old Maytag but we had to leave it at the old house on sale of house. They said they will cover drum, but nothing else. Tech came out on Thursday (this past) and opened up washer. (Finally, he actually opened to look at all of it.) The drum was so warped that it cut open (gouged) a hole in the outer plastic drum (front section). It had a circular gouge around the almost complete perimeter. He told me that part is no longer available because washer was over 7 years old. It was made in 2005 and I bought in 2006. He told me to buy a new washer. After he left, I called LG who said that part can be bought as an aftermarket part but they do not make the original part anymore. Swell. They gave me names of two parts suppliers. Part is $100 but has to be mailed at an oversize part ($50). I called service company to tell them it is available. They called and placed an order. On Friday, next day, part still was not shipped to them. I cancelled service (now estimated to be over $400) and bought a new Whirlpool set. LG refused to take ownership of problem that was caused by a lifetime part and they admitted that it was likely like that from beginning, but would not say 100%. Theyre out. They told me I should have noticed something not right, even though I had Best Buy out two times. I called Best Buy and they told me their service is a plan not a warranty. If there was a lifetime warranty issue, they would have had LG fix it, not them. Now my problem went on for two weeks with no conclusion, other than me cancelling service and throwing that piece of junk out. The company I called recommended the Whirlpool because it is US made. They said the biggest problem with LG is that it is all Korean or Chinese made and parts are difficult to come by. No kidding. Manufacturer is only obligated for 7 years per them and LG. If you want your machine to last more than 7 years and you paid big bucks for it, look for something other than LG. They will not back up their products in any way feasible. I understand warranties but when a lifetime-warrantied product is the culprit of a major problem, dont blame the customer for not knowing it was an issue, even though a service tech they recommend doesnt catch it either.
Since I purchased the Dryer, it has left many loads of clothes wet. LG service says, I need to clean the sensors by the front door. I did that and the problem still exists. They said I needed to reduce the load. What? I did that and the problem still exists. The electronic fixes did not work. This machine is clearly a LEMON and should never be purchased. LG is offering NO customer service. I just wanted a dryer to dry my clothes without have to clean and adjust things myself. They obviously put too many bells and whistles on this dryer to the detriment of its primary use - drying clothes!! Dont Buy LG Appliances.
Horrible, horrible, horrible! Bought my LMXC23746 French door refrigerator in 9/2015, It was scratched during delivery and had to wait nearly 4 month for another. 5/2016 it wasnt staying cold. LG rep walked me through some steps and it worked for about 10 months. Then it happened again, but this time the water also had leaked from the ice maker because it had defrosted and we were out of town. This time they told me to call a repairman and the rep gave me a phone number to call. Long story short, after two repairmen, a new main control board, a new compressor and about $600.00 later, it is now 9/2017 and yep, problem still exist. Will never buy LG again. I would sign up for a class action suit for sure if there is one.
Worst. Dishwasher. Ever. The tines collapse. The tines are too short and spaced poorly so the plates flop over and dont get clean. Dishes chip. The dishwasher rack derails because the rack is a little too narrow and the rollers arent wide enough to stay on the rail. It derails constantly. Then I have to try to lug a heavy rack back onto the rails and then it derails in the other direction. Detergent door doesnt click into place. Dishes often do not get clean. Purple plastic pieces holding the adjustable tines pop off and rows of tines fall into the dishwasher bottom. The pump has failed 4 or 5 times in 3 years, either blocked or defective. I made repeated, polite complaints to the company when problems persisted past the warranty period. LG DOESNT BACK THEIR PRODUCT! I paid $899 and Im replacing it with a Bosch that costs half of that. I hate this dishwasher! No, I really hate this dishwasher! (It gets one star because I cant give it negative 5 stars.)
We purchased the top loading LG washer a year ago and it worked well for about 6 months. Then it started showing UE code and stopping due to a supposed unbalanced load. Shifting the clothes around and restarting it several times is about the only way we have now to complete a cycle. It takes incredibly long now to run a load. This now occurs no matter what the load size is. This appears to be a design flaw in this machine with bad load sensor, I think. All we can say is, DO NOT BUY An LG! No one seems to know how to fix this, UGH!
I needed a platform to express my utter frustration with your company. I bought this LG fridge 3 1/2 yrs ago.. Apparently during my absence this summer, my compressor died and you can imagine how badly my fridge with its closed doors smelled after 4 months away. When I called LG, you knew about the compressors failure in this model, (which all owners should have been made aware of). Had it fixed, although the odor continues, even after using every available product. The problem that started after the repair was the NOISE, which is worse than the smell. Had it serviced again, but still the noise continued. Major issue is that the noise is not consistent. It comes and goes and therefore not always heard when repairs are being made. Called LG again and Travis from LG came to repair. He fiddled with the fridge for a few minutes and said it was fixed. Called him 10 minutes later and said the fridge was really noisy now and could he return so he could hear it and maybe even fix it correctly. He said he could not, but would return the next day. He never returned or called me. I have called customer service many, many times, even asking for a supervisor, (one actually hung up on me). Was finally told that the warranty doesnt cover noise. I explained that I never had the noise until you fixed the compressor, but that didnt seem to matter. You said that you would send another of your service people out for a 4th try, but I was done with this nonsense. Had no confidence in your ability to fix anything. My fridge was now a smelly, noisy lemon and I wanted a new fridge (which I said I would share in the cost). My fridge is in an open kitchen, living room and dining room that we cannot use when the fridge noise starts so we have to leave the room or blast the TV to drown out the fridge noise, which turned out to be a bad idea. Not a way to live. At times the fridge sounds like a subway rumbling into the station. This has become a quality of life issue and is no longer worth the aggravation. LGs Life is Good motto is a myth for us. Not only have we suffered for the last 3 weeks, we must now add insult to injury with the expense of buying a new refrigerator. You should all be ashamed of your customer service department and maybe try teaching your people some common sense. Received an email back from LG discussing my AIR CONDITIONER! Need I say anything else?
Used broiler one time. Noticed the knobs looked as if they were melting. Called customer service. I asked if there was a recall. They know, they said they were sending a set of new knobs at no charge. Called over a week later. They said it was denied. I did not receive a reject letter or call from LG. Filed a complaint with them on the phone. Receive a complaint number. Filed another complaint on line today and on this web site I agree there should be a recall for the stove knobs or a way of fixing the problem.
This dishwasher is so simple to use. The shelf racks fold down for big items. There are only 6 buttons to push. And one of them is the power button So youre not going to get confused with what to push. It is a very quiet cleaning process. The one thing I dont like is it runs from 1hour 30 min to 2 hours 15 min. Sometimes I just want a fast cycle for a few thing I instantly need. But I am getting used to starting the dishwasher before I go to work and at bedtime.
I purchase the LG High-Efficiency washer and Electric dryer in 2011. For the past several years the bleach dispenser has become increasingly rusted, and now it is to the point where the clothes washed when the bleach dispenser is used are coming out with rust stains. I thought it might help if I left the washer top open after each wash to allow it to dry out, but this has not helped, and the top is becoming so rusted it will soon be unusable. The dryer no longer completes a full cycle on most of the settings - it will begin and then shut down within a few minutes. I am very disappointed in this product and will not purchase another LG set again.
I agree with the reviewer who wrote that they are scamming you for money. Our fridge broke twice due to the compressor. The first time we paid for repairs $350 in labor. The second time, the repair people said to call LG to get labor covered. I called. First guy took information and said he would call back in an hour after talking to the supervisor. No call 3 hours later so I called again. This person gave me a completely different story and had me do completely different steps including sending in a picture of my receipt of purchase. I did and she said someone would contact me 3-5 business days later. 10 business days later I call to find out the claim had been rejected but theyd be happy to send someone out to fix it with us having to pay for both the compressor and the labor. I told them no thanks. We would be buying a new fridge that was NOT LG.
Purchased an LG microwave oven (over the range) model LMV1813S ...installed it 3 days before Thanksgiving 2014. On Christmas morning (1 month later) it stopped heating. Certified LG service repaired it yesterday with a brand new computer board and keypad (just to be safe). Worked once and then stopped again. LG will not send a new unit. Says the repair guy must come fix it again and again until he determines it is a lemon.....its brand new, 2 months old.
I purchased my new LG washer and dryer in Sept. of 2016. Several months later we noticed the dryer not heating well. It would not even dry a load in 2 hours. I got use to hanging the clothes, and put towels outside to dry. I had to call LG service 3 different times over a 5 month period. They did everything to avoid sending a repairman over. All they would do was tell me to try something different each time. 1) dont use energy saver 2) lint in dryer 3) coil on back of dryer was too long. Last week I spent over 45 minutes on the phone demanding a repairman. FINALLY one came out. It was the heating element. It was not working. This type of service is unacceptable. This may be a great product. We were just unlucky to receive a defect. Customers are not to be treated as though we are idiots.
This range has performed usually well. However, the burners on the stove dont really heat up to fit the pot that one would cook with. Meaning, that when you turn the burner on to fit a small pot, it still heats way above the pots diameter. The range stove top glass cracked early on. The other problem is that the stove had to be serviced to adjust the oven temperature and to have a new seal put on the oven door. It looks great and does the job, but I cant understand how the glass on the stove top cracked.
We bought an LG French door refrigerator in late 2017 and it worked without too many major issues, until October of 2020. In October, it suddenly stopped cooling. We called LG to have repairs made under the 3 year warranty. After many delays, they found a repair company in our area to come out to do the repair. They said it was the compressor, ordered a new one and replaced it. The refrigerator still doesnt work. We have been without a refrigerator now for over two months (for a four person household). I have called LG nearly every day, for the past 6 weeks. I have been elevated to the Executive Service response team. What a joke. I receive a different answer every time I call. After about a month of trying to find an authorized repair person to look at the refrigerator again, LG finally agreed to simply submit a claim for Alternate resolution; i.e. replacing the refrigerator. The claim has been submitted now at least 4 times; there is still no decision on whether or not they will honor our warranty. Every time I call (nearly every day now) I am provided with another excuse as to why there is no decision. This has been the worst consumer experience of my life.
The thermistor of my 3 years and 9-month old LG LFC25770st stainless, french door, $1799 fridge overheated and died. LG no longer makes this defective part. So instead of a $150 to repair, I will need $1100 to replace. I only need to spend $1100 to replace since they are generously pro-rating my fridge at $700. Did I also mention my matching LG stainless microwave died after less than three years? All my non-LG appliances that I got at the same time are still working fine, and so is the $37 countertop microwave we have been using as a replacement for the last year. Stay away from LG products.
The people who sold me it promised to come fix it if I ever needed it, they lied. My dryer sucks, I have to run it twice just to get my clothes dried. Worse thing ever. Absolutely awful. I will never buy an LG again.
Never will I buy LG products again! My 35 yr. old Fridge finally died. So I bought just what I wanted Door in Door stainless steel. In 11 mos I lost ice cream in my freezer, Logan Appliances installed a new computer board. Well it is April 11, 2020 and it’s done it again! I have NO confidence that this won’t happen again. I paid almost 2000.00 for a piece of junk... I intend on going on EVERY forum I can to get this resolved once & for all... This is Saturday but on Monday 4/13/2020 LG will be hearing from me! I have read the many reviews (bad) on LG. I am willing to take legal action, if they do not satisfy me once & for all.
My fruit and vegetables drawers of fridge dries out everything. My mushrooms become dried in 3 days. I had the technician call and got charged for it because he told me new fridges are like this now, you need to wet all fruit and veg and put in a plastic bag to keep them moist. But when I do this I now dont have dry celery I have rotten celery. These bins are just a waste of space. I wish I has never bought an LG fridge/freezer and will be telling my friends. I would NOT recommend them ever!
I bought my refrigerator in December of 2006. In Feb. of 2008, the light stayed on all night and warped the liner. There were burn marks under light cover which looked like it was melted. Thank God that my repairman, the Appliance Man, is smart and honest. He told me that LG was having a big problem with that refrigerator and that it was a design flaw - A defect in (on) the board and a known defect. He also told me to tell LG that it was unrepairable. Amanda ** from LG agreed to replace it.When they delivered the new one I was told that the new one would not be under warranty -??? It hasnt been a problem since although little teeny nailhead size dents appear out of nowhere. The drawers are cheaply made and all have one problem or another. I decided to write about my experience as many comments in the reviews sound as though they experienced my same problem. Thankfully I have a great repairman that knows his stuff!
My expensive LG side by side refrigerator isnt even 3 years old. We noticed melting ice and water on the floor. The freezer section was no longer getting cold at all. Everything inside thawed out. The refrigerator sounded like it was still running and the cold side is only slightly cool. I called Lowes this morning (Sunday, Thanksgiving weekend) and they told me that the parts were covered but I will have to pay for labor. The earliest repair appointment is for Tuesday. Im not sure how much the labor will cost, but there is definitely a pattern on the reviews that have been posted. When I purchased it LG had great reviews, but obviously they are now using cheap parts. I hope this review saves someone else time and money, because now I am stuck with this expensive but cheaply made refrigerator.
I bought an LG dryer two years ago. Model DLEX3570W. I have no problems with the dryer doing what its supposed to do -- dry my damn clothes. It does that job just fine. But after every load, I have to use a wet paper towel to wipe off the rubber gasket on the door because lint collects on it. This is a total pain in the butt and it isnt normal dryer behavior. So today I called the customer service number and spoke with a gentleman (very difficult to understand) who told me that this is normal and there is nothing I can do about it. Huh? Really? Dont buy this product.
The LG washer leaks water. Ive only had the washer for 2 month, and in that time I have made 7 calls and taken off work 4 times to meet the LG repairmen. Yet, the washer continues to leak. Upon contacting an LG supervisor, her response was a weak sorry. I would strongly urge anyone considering the purchase of a washing machine to never buy a LG washer. The LG machine is unreliable and LG service was hollow.
While recently reading a Consumer Reports article about recommended refrigerators, I noticed that LG got very high ratings. Given my experiences with an LG refrigerator, I was shocked. Six years ago, we were so pleased with our LG top-loading washer/dryer so decided to look at their refrigerators. I saw the one I wanted right away -- stainless, French door refrigerator with a huge amount of room inside and outer door ice and water dispenser. Loved the interior lighting, too. After looking at this one, I knew nothing else would make me happy so we plunked down $2500 for it, on sale no less! It ran fine the first year and I was the envy of anyone who came to our house and admired it.Skip to year 2 -- New Years Eve and we kept hearing this loud noise whenever the fan came on. An LG certified repair technician checked it a few days later and said it was a known design flaw; ice would build up around the fan and when the fan turned on, it would hit that ice. She was able to repair it and things were great again -- until the water/ice dispenser stopped working later that year. It had to be replaced but luckily, we had bought an extended warranty so we didnt have to pay for it. Shortly after that, one of the glides on a freezer drawer wasnt working correctly and it had to be replaced. This past December, the ice tray kept overfilling with water so when it froze, the tray couldnt empty; we kept hearing a loud clacking noise. I had to get out my blow dryer to thaw the ice enough that the tray could turn over and dump it. Of course, since the refrigerator is 6 years old, our extended warranty was up so it was on us to get it fixed. Luckily, my husband is a former Industrial Arts teacher and avid YouTube viewer, so he ordered a new ice maker and fixed it himself. It worked fine after that.2 months ago when I opened the refrigerator one night, I noticed quite a bit of water on the top of the freezer door. I thought maybe I had spilled water, though I couldnt imagine how I might have spilled that much, and after cleaning it up, I opened the freezer drawer. Soft ice cream, thawing meat, melting ice cubes did not bode well. Strangely, the freezer indicator on the outside of the refrigerator registered 0 degrees. I checked the refrigerator and the inside felt warmer than usual. When I stuck a thermometer inside, it registered 50 degrees. Thinking maybe the coils needed cleaning, we did that and moved all of the food to our 25 year old garage refrigerator and to our basement freezer. The next morning when we checked the temperature in the refrigerator, it was almost 70 degrees so time to call an LG certified technician. (Not easy to find, by the way) The first one who came to our house and checked our refrigerator announced that it needed a new condenser and two evaporators. He was qualified to fix them, but his company would no longer allow their technicians to work on the LG evaporators/condensers because theres a special valve inside that, if damaged during a repair, cant be fixed -- the whole refrigerator would be dead. His company didnt want to assume that responsibility, and I cant really blame them. The second LG certified tech said that even though the parts are still covered by the LG warranty, it would cost us about $700 plus a $100 service charge to fix it. Thats almost a third of what we paid for the refrigerator and would cover the cost of a new no-frills top freezer refrigerator! Oh, and only a 60 day guarantee. We said no thank you, so as we speak, theres what my husband likes to call a $2500 paperweight sitting in our kitchen. I sent an email to LG and the answer I got back sounded as if the girl who replied hadnt even read my email, or at least didnt understand it. Her suggestion was to contact an LG certified technician to fix it. (I guess she missed the part of my email where I said that we consulted TWO LG certified technicians!) Disgusted with that response, I sent a letter to both the President of LG and the Consumer Relations person to express my dissatisfaction with my refrigerator. Have I heard back? No. Will I hear back? Probably not. Given the number of complaints Ive seen over time, it appears that LG service leaves a lot to be desired. I think its a sad commentary when a $2500 less than 7 years old dies, while a 25+ Kenmore out in the garage is still working just fine.According to one of our repairmen and from what Ive read, the problem is that appliance companies today are manufacturing appliances to last only 5-10 years, and refrigerators are nearer the bottom of that estimate. Gone are the days of appliances that lasted 25 years or more (I had a Maytag washer/dryer set that lasted almost 30 years!) Most refrigerators, too, have only a one year warranty, so purchasing a longer warranty is pretty much a necessity. Searching for a new one over the past several weeks has been a real challenge, and so far, nothing has grabbed my attention like my LG did six years ago... maybe because Im going back to simple, top freezer fridge without an ice maker so well hopefully avoid a lot of repairs. Bottom line: If youre looking for a new refrigerator, please do your homework, and stay away from companies with poor service record reviews after the sale. Also, make sure you buy an extended warranty because chances are, youll eventually need it.
It looks great the stainless steel fridge, but I have bad experience as if I bought an old car which need fix every 1000mi. I bought this product from the factory floor, a year and half the ice maker fails and purchase the part and replace. Now it is three years old, and completely fail to keep cool anything within, is that not annoying, old model refrigerator wont have this after 10 years or more. This is 3 damn years and wont work right, what a BS is this. 3K is just throw in the dirt, do I trust the repairman do the good job last few more years, I dont think so. I would rather buying other brand and throw the trash. Whoever plan to purchase LG refrigerator be careful, dont trash your money. It looks good in the house kitchen floor but not working good.
To: The Manufacturers of Over-The-Range Microwaves. PLEASE, downsize. They keep getting bigger and bigger and bigger, to the point where I have to replace my beautiful expensive cabinets in order to accommodate the darn microwave. And from what Ive read on the internet, I am not the only one. It definitely looks like there is market for them that is NOT being fulfilled. Can one of the manufacturers please step up to the plate on this? Why is it that I can find a counter top microwave that is only 10-14 high, but when I look for an OTR its 16 and up.
WE bought an LG fridge about 3 years ago. It was pretty expensive so I assumed I would get quite a bit of life out of it. Well the compressor just went out and while looking up warranty it looks like my model only has a 1 year parts warranty. Had I known that I would have probably not bought LG. It looks like the compressor is almost 300 dollars and who knows how much the labor is going to cost. Im may be better off just buying a new fridge. It makes me sick to my stomach to pay almost 3000 dollars for a fridge and only be able to get 3 years out of it.
Words can not describe the joy I have when I use and even more appropriately when I clean up after my husband cooks. I never liked or would even consider electric cooking before, but this is an absolute dream. A pot boils over? No problem. Use a rag and wipe it up even when the pot is still cooking, it lowers the heat the minute you turn down the temperature and if you pick up the pan and walk away, the burner shuts itself off. I have considered an electric oven before but with the convection and induction features, I feel like I have died and gone to the great kitchen in the sky. I know that sounds a little extreme but after dealing with a messy stove top & an oven that I have to get down on my hands & knees to clean, this is really a God-send.I also got a great deal on my appliance from eBay. Even had a manufactures warranty. LG has been our go to brand for T.V.s, fridge and now my kitchen. The only draw back is trying to find pans that dont cost a fortune and are of good quality, also someone that can tell me why my cast iron griddle cracked in half when I tried to heat it up to cook a steak. Not a major problem. Just would like some answers.
Purchased LG refrigerator model LFXS24623S in March 2017. After 3 months, the ice maker would not work properly, (would not tumble ice into bin). Service man replaced ice maker. Waited 24 hrs, checked for ice, no ice! Called again, and same service man came, checked everything, replaced entire unit. Checked next day, still no ice. Same service guy came again, ( I knew him by name by now), said there was a problem with this particular serial number line, he had just received an update by email, replaced entire unit once again, you guessed it, still no ice in bin. Bill, (not his real name) said there was nothing he could do other than replace the fridge. Customer service called sometime later to confirm the replacement to be done at end of August. By 1st of August, freezer would not keep food frozen. Some stuff froze others didnt. By date of this posting, all food in freezer had thawed. We had to throw all the meat products out. We are now waiting for the replacement and hope this one actually does what its supposed to do. Im hoping we just got a lemon as can happen with any products. One other thing, the customer service rep we spoke with did not seem very sympathetic but seemed to treat our phone calls with total indifference.
Have had repairs over years and now its done. It stopped cooling - freezer then fridge. We had to buy a new one. Cheaper to buy new than to fix!
LSG4513ST.BSTELGA / Range danger for burn/natural gas leaking. This range has had issues since day one. Serviced one time by LG tech who said; Ive replaced the components with the updated parts; but that wont fix the problem. We the owners and guests have accidentally turned burners on and burned ourselves. An even bigger, more dangerous problem is the burners being on enough to leak gas and not light; or when on low; the flame will go out and continue to fill the home with natural gas until you notice. After several months of trying and finding out the LG factory repair person in the area; no longer works for LG; we have an appointment scheduled with an authorized service company. I would rather just have it replaced and preferably before a serious injury, fire or explosion takes place!
lg electric range mod # lsc5683ws - We have a f3 error code and have paid service techs to fix but have not. We have replaced oven sensor which was surely the problem but nope.
New unit purchased. The freezer did not work when it was delivered. A digital thermometer reported it didnt drop below 60 F. 4 days after delivery the refrigerator stopped cooling and it warmed up to room temperature. This is unacceptable in a new appliance.
I purchased an LG French-door refrigerator in November, 2010, from Home Depot for $1198. Earlier this week I came home to puddles of water in my kitchen as the refrigerator compressor died resulting in my losing about a couple hundred dollars-worth of food. I called LG customer service, gave my model number and was told by their representative that the compressor was under warranty and I would only have to pay for labor. I was then provided with the numbers of two LG approved repair services. I had one service come out today and charge me $95 to confirm it is the compressor that no longer works, and let me know that labor cost to repair would be $650. That is pretty high so I called LG customer service again because my friend had the same thing happen to her LG refrigerator 3 weeks ago (what a coincidence) and it cost her $250 in labor, a big difference from $450. Turns out LG can send out one of their repair technicians who can do the repair for a total of $375. I do not know why this wasnt offered from the beginning and why I was directed to an independent repair service that costs almost double, but that is a sub-issue. What was truly upsetting was that it was at this time that the customer service representative told me that my refrigerator is actually not under warranty and that I would have to pay for parts and labor. If I had been told this from the beginning then I would have not have had the repair person come out and waste $95. I would have just gone directly to buying a new refrigerator, which is what I am left to do now because the cost of labor and parts will be near $1,000. So in sum, I spent nearly $1,200 on an LG refrigerator to last me less than 8 years and, to add insult to injury, I then spent an additional $95 for a repair call on the bad information provided by the LG customer service center. I asked LG if they would reimburse me for this and they refused. What makes the whole situation even worse is that I see that there was a class action lawsuit over the LG compressor failures, so this is a known issue to LG. Obviously LG is not standing behind its products and its customer service is sub-par. I will not be purchasing LG items ever again and this includes not only appliances but also mobile devices, televisions, audio and computers. I wanted to share this by sharing this experience so others can avoid similar losses.
My biggest problem with this dishwasher is the racks are poorly designed. Whoever designed these racks couldnt possibly ever loaded a dishwasher. Glasses fall over unless the glass rack is full. Consequently, if you dont run the dishwasher every day, as you pull the rack out, any glasses previously placed on the rack, fall over causing broken glasses. The lower rack where one would usually place small plates or bowls is designed in such a way that the posts are staggered so the plates & bowls wont line up. If I ever buy another new dishwasher, Im taking dishes with me so I know they can be properly & efficiently placed.
I did not look up reviews before I purchased this refrigerator, I wish I did! On the upscale price of closer to the $3000 mark, I feel I got a lemon. I loved the look, style, features, and all the different slide out drawers and compartments. I was sold! This is everything I could want in a refrigerator. Then came the disappointment... In the first year, it was getting ice build up on the inside of the refrigerator. Repair said it some kind of software problem, wasnt programmed correctly or something. It is the second year I have it, it will be in November 2016 two years old. Not working again, repair tech says this time the compressor is SHOT!!! REALLY that is the heart of the unit, in two years. So it is under warranty for the part but not the labor. So it will cost $450 to fix. On Tuesday they were supposed to expedite the part. Its Saturday and Im still waiting. I thought expedite meant send it NOW! I wrote a few emails to LG, they responded, Were sorry for your troubles and inconvenience. We have sent your concerns to complaint dept. Blah blah blah. Wont ever buy another LG product.
LG refrigerators are not the same anymore, quality is not good, drawers break easily, it has cracks inside, Ive already repaired it once, and it is only 4 years old. Quality is not good. I spent $250 in repairs, the screen showing the temperature does not show correct numbers anymore, and the technician told me that we cannot repair that unless we pay big money for it which doesnt make sense on top of the $250 we already paid.
I bought a LG top loader at Conns and Im very unhappy. To wash I need to wait for my day-off because one load can take up all day. A load never stops rinsing even after spin cycle. I have to literally stand there and wait for spin cycle to stop before it takes more water and goes through rinse cycle all over again. This happens with small or full loads. Im getting ready to throw it away and get me another one.
My LG washer wt5001cw has got worse after two recall services. And LG cannot fix the problem and refused to recover it to the original state.
I purchased an LG Front Loader washing machine model WM3570HWA less than a year ago. It cost over $800.00. I hate this machine. It smells all the time. I leave the door open constantly. I have to leave the window open because of the smell. I have cleaned the tub several times according to the LG instructions. The cycle takes forever. Helps for a couple of days. I also dont find the clothes get that clean and fresh smelling when done. I would take back my old Whirlpool agitator machine in a heartbeat. I am going to get rid of this machine and eat my $800.00+. I will never buy an LG product again. I do not recommend this to anyone. I wish I would have read Consumer Affairs before purchasing this machine.
I purchased an LG front loader in the last quarter of 2012. In late 2013, the door gasket started leaking. I called several local repair shops who stated they would not work on them because LG did not stand behind their appliance replacement parts. I ordered the gasket and replaced it myself. Now in June of 2015, the door gasket is leaking again in the exact same spot. This is a poor design and I will never buy an LG product again.
I have been using LG WD-8015C frontload washer for last four years and worked well. A couple of weeks ago, the pre-wash option could not pump the water into drum. After a lot of research, I understood as I have to change the cold water inlet valve assembly and did that by spending NZD45. With the new valve, the pre-wash pump never shuts off. This appears funny to me. I dont know if the new part supplied to me is still a faulty one. Did this happen to anyone? Call out for repair is around NZD50 plus labor of NZD60 per hour. I dont know what to do and how to solve this problem. I appreciate if someone can help me on this issue.
