I purchased an LG refrigerator on 5/19/13, model # LFX3194ST, and purchased the 4-year warranty. On 8/14/15 the freezer and then the fridge began to thaw and re-freeze. I called the warranty service and had an appointment scheduled for 8/18/15 between 8-12. The repair technician showed up at 1:30, and after doing diagnostics, said I needed a new compressor (on a refrigerator 2 years old). He ordered the compressor and said it would be delivered on 8/19/15 (and I am sure it is likely a refurbished compressor), and it did arrive, and is still sitting on a bench where I left it in boxes. The technician, Hugo **, then scheduled a 12-4 appointment to replace the compressor on 8/20/15. On 8/20/15, Hugo called at 3:30, and said he had an emergency and needed to reschedule. He rescheduled with me to arrive between 11-12 on 8/21/15. At 2:00 pm on 8/21/15, I called him, and he said he would be over in about one hour. I called him again at 3:15 pm, and he again said it would be about an hour. I had an emergency of my own arise, and called to see where he was at around 4:15 pm, and he said he could be by in 15-20 minutes. I asked if he could wait and come at 5:00. He agreed, but said the visit would take 2-3 hours, which I find to be a long estimate of time when the part is already available. He was angling to reschedule, so I asked when he could. He said he could be over the next morning at 9:00 am, so I decided to allow the reschedule. He never showed or called.I called the warranty department through Lowes to complain. I was told I needed to deal with this technician and take a slot on Monday from 8-12, or I could start over with a new company. They also said the company that was supposed to come has one technician, Hugo, and that he does not work on the weekend, so the warranty rep said, he lied. The next appointment for another company (only other company offered) was 8/28/15. If I started with a new company, the compressor at my home could not be used. So my choice is to take the appointment (like I really believe he will show) or start over. I did work out that I could call another company, but I would also need to start over and bill Lowes. I was also told I could get a rental refrigerator and bill Lowes. Highly doubt I would ever see the $, and the hassle factor would be very high. They have you coming and going.I will NEVER buy anything LG again, and will likely never shop at Lowes again. This warranty is sold by Lowes and they should be bending over backwards at this point due to their poor choice of vendors. No bending noted, so no future business from me. Steer clear of LG and Lowes as far as I am concerned. I included the warranty program # below.

I purchased an LG ref side by side less than 2 years ago and the ice maker went out. Two weeks later the service man came out and said it was the board and not covered. A week later and the board was in and the ice maker still didnt work right. Then everything quit. So two weeks the service man came out and said the compressor was gone but the parts were covered not labor. Two weeks the parts came in and two men worked all day and it still didnt work but I was still charged. The repair man said it may have been a bad board and ordered another one. It came in but he ordered the wrong one. Now another two weeks and it is to be installed tomorrow. The service dept at Freds said they will sell me another one at their cost. BFD just cant get anyone to show some responsibility. LG service is a joke and the people I spoke to were rude and told me too bad there is nothing I can do. Anyone want to start a lawsuit?

Absolute junk. Has not worked right since day one. Cooling problems and error codes since new. 2014 by the way. More than a half dozen repair calls and still not fixed. Now out of warranty and last service technician says its the main wire harness. Called LG service. Horrible. Besides arguing that the fridge is out of warranty. Then tells me the wiring cant be replaced anyway. Now stuck with a shiny $2700 lawn ornament. Stay away from LG. Back to using my 15 year old Frigidaire apartment fridge until I can afford to buy a new one. There will never be another LG or LG-affiliated product in my house again.

I am buyer of fht1409zwl model, paid 38k INR. Biggest drawback is washing quality. (Reviewing after 15 day use) When I compare with my old top load washing machine it not even near by it. Second drum size for 9 kg are same as 7 and 8 kg. When I ask same thing from their representative they say their inner motor is differ, motherboard is different. Practically you cant put 9 kg cloths in one run. Waste of money for 9 kg. I am not writing this because of 7, 8 and 9 kg drum issues, but due to washing quality. I use other products of LG. They are extremely good, but not in case of WM. I dont need this product anymore. I love to use old one. BTW I am using other LG product like TV, refrigerator and they are working awesome. Not posting because of any hate feeling but my genuine problem.

I bought an LG Tromm washer and dryer (WM2077CW) from Home Depot. The dryer has been excellent but the washer is another story. My white clothes are dull gray-looking even with the use of Oxy-Clean and/or bleach. I clean the door seals and use the cleaner recommended by LG and still my clothes stink and appear dirty. The washer now doesnt wash. The machine will come on but will not wash. This is the second time I have to fix this machine. I will never ever buy another. I have contacted LG with no response. I will probably trash this machine, because I wouldnt even sell it to my worst enemy. Note to all consumers, dont buy LG.

This dryer has ruined our clothing. I get so upset every time I use it, the damage it does is upsetting and ruins my day. The clothing gets stuck on the stupid lint filter because it will not go in completely, it sticks up on both ends just enough to damage clothing by twisting it until it breaks. I will never buy another LG product again, and I will be sure to spread the word. This dryer was expensive, I bought it because I expected it to dry our clothing without damage. I am so disgusted with the flaw in the lint filter.

LG Fridge Compressor dead 5 years after purchase, just after warranty expired. Contact LG support and only get a text link that doesnt work with Android phone..when enter description, which is mandatory, the Submit and Back button disappear, so cant send message. No way to speak to a human. Local repair companies wont work on this model fridge and if they do, it is cheaper to buy a new one. LG phone that is 2-3 years old is also no longer functioning correctly, battery dead after 30 minutes of surfing, blacks out, and freezes up daily. Im in IT at work so am careful with all electronics. Need a new fridge and phone. Not buying LG anymore! Out over $2,500.00 this month on LG and no customer service seems to be available to speak to. After all repairs, I still have problems with the plastic inter parts breaking. Whats with LG product?

My wife and I had higher expectations on the model and make. We thought that being a LG model and the new concept of front loading that the clothes would come out cleaner. As far as water consumption no complaints and the company is in the right direction on that topic. But for tumbling of the clothes to get them clean, I think that we need to get back to the drawing board. And as for the quietness of the machine no complaints, either very quiet especially for a washer.

It looks nice. I dont ever use convection. The blue color inside oven is pretty but I can’t put foil on it for unknown reason. When I put foil on the bottom rack to prevent drips from falling to the oven surface I think it interferes with the bottom of pizza or bread getting browned. I use a cooktop cleaner everyday on the glass top. The settings are digital. The light on the stove is blue and the matching microwave light is green. I wish that they were both blue.

Bought new bottom freezer french door refrigerator in February 2011, now in December 2011 fridge wont fully cool and water is leaking at the back left and from the bottom of the fridge. Called service at LG and they gave me a company who will fix. Four days later they called and said they do not service the area. Then LG gave me another company very far away and they didnt answer as they were on vacation. Finally after about 8 days, LG sent out someone who worked directly for them and he only fixed the filter and said everything else was fine. The temperature (noted by two new thermometers I have bought) inside was 42, despite the thermostat being set at 34! This man said it was the food that was supposed to be 34 not the air temperature! He said we needed to get a special thermometer to test the food temperature. That was crazy. The food was slowly going bad again. I have moved food in and out of he fridge because I have been told it needs to be empty for fixing and then told I could put food back in after it was fixed (it wasnt). This has happened three times. It is now three weeks later and while the water is no longer leaking, the fridge part is still not cooling properly. Their repair man says it is fixed. Very interesting that the warranty is going to be up in a few weeks. LG says someone will come out in three days. Why is it that they have no contract with fixer companies in my urban area (DC)? That is because the companies say LG pays very little to these companies and they dont want to work for them doing free warranty work. This is unacceptable.I have lost 100s of dollars of food over Christmas and New Year. I want all of us to file a class action lawsuit. I am truly fed up.

This WT5075CW washer is completely useless. I am going to have to replace it, and I have only had it a little over a year, but I cant take it anymore. It gets unbalanced on the spin cycle for no apparent reason. I only was like weight and size clothes together. I rearrange the clothes when it gets unbalanced and then restart. It starts filling with water again and stops unbalanced again. I try the Spin Only cycle. Same thing. I was the same loads every week and it is completely random as to which load will have this problem. Last week, it was the delicates – how can they cause an unbalance???!!! I am left with an entire load of sopping wet clothes that I have to drain over the top of the washer, hang out on the patio until the dripping stops and then dry in the dryer for over an hour. I called my BrandsMart extended warranty repair team out and they said that is how the washer was designed and charged me $60.

Nearly 2 months later the freezer is inoperable as well as the ice maker. The refrigerator is semi-warm. I have asked for an exchange, and the service companies believe we have a lemon. I bought an LG gas range in 2008! From the beginning, I have had nothing but problems with it. To get anything done about it, you have to spend hours on the phone and literally fight for something to be taken care of. Now, in 2013, I have peeling knobs on the range. The plastic on the stainless steel knobs is warped, cracked and coming off. My goal for a stainless range was to look nice and professional; now it looks **! I called thinking they would help me. Guess what? Nope! They will do nothing, but they will sell me new knobs at about $70 a pop. Yes, for one knob! Can you believe the insanity and the nerve? We own a restaurant, and I can get a commercial knob for my range for $10. This company is awful. I told the customer service representative I spoke with that I buy a lot of equipment for rental properties and I will never, never buy an LG appliance again. She didnt really care!

Updated on 12/25/2020: DO NOT BUY LG UNTIL YOU READ THIS. 2ND COMPLAINT. LG has not followed up on resolving issue with our LG refrigerator as Promised. They have not responded to emails and only way to contact is through Consumer Affairs. We used unit 53 days and broke down. LG says not repairable and have to Reorder a New unit 11/20/2020, with a delivery date 1/25/2021. Louis, webmaster for LG, assured within 10 business days it would be resolved. I filed complaint 12/5/20, called 12/23/20 because LG has not contacted me. Ashley at LG stated that Claim and Case WAS NOT Submitted nor processed and have to resubmit and wait another 10 business days for their response, if any. LG wants us to follow up if they dont contact us after 1/3/2021. UNBELIEVABLE! We have not used our LG Refrigerator since 10/28/2020, look how long LG has Procrastinated in resolving issue. LG will not contact us, follow up or make our case a PRIORITY as Louis stated it was. When LG states on 12/23/2020 they have to resubmit claim because of their error and we have to follow up ourselves is disturbing. I am sorry to write a 2nd review, but again, LG will not contact us accept through this site. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE RESOLUTION PROCESS. All we want is our LG Refrigerator that we bought and paid for. Is this asking to much from LG?Original Review: Terrible Customer Service and Quality of 2020 LG Counter Depth French. Received on 9/3/2020. Broke down, No power at unit, on 10/28/2020. It took LG 19 days to inspect after missing 3 LG scheduled repairs appointments that LG set up for us. LG opened 5 Customer Concern Reports and Three Different Repair Orders. Refrigerator not repairable and none in stock through Home Depot. We had to Reorder another LG unit and paid extra for an ESP plan to protect ourselves, $195.00 dollars for an ESP plan to Protect ourselves. LG promised delivery 1/25/2021, UNBLIEVEABLE. Home Depot tried to elevate our New Order, 11/20/2020, but with no help from LG. Home Depot would rather upset an American Customer than upset LG, a South Korean Company, who lacks American Values, Culture, Empathy and Ethics. LG should provide FREE 5 year ESP plan with units to Prove that LG has Trust and Confidence in their Products.

LG Refrigerator model number LFXS30766S/02 - Retail Cost $3,799. topped working on 6/11/2017. It was Purchased on 7/9/2015. The unit was only 23 Months old. Compressor is Defective and there seem to be another issue with it. As an Engineer, I tested the Refrigerator myself and determined Compressor has completely failed. I called LG Service department to let them know that the Compressor is bad and it needs to be replaced. The Compressor is under 10 Year warranty. I was notified that a technician needed to come out and verify this. I was given 2 options: 1. I needed to pay Approximately $345 (I do not remember the exact amount, but it was this high) to come out just to look at it and fix the issue, but this will be a one-shot deal. Or Option 2. $459 to come out and verify, Fix the issue and then have it covered again under warranty for another year.I do not understand why I need to pay these amounts for something that is covered in warranty. Especially when I am reading all over the internet that this particular Compressor, Ice trays and circuit boards are Failing at an extremely high rate. I ended up having to pay $459 to have a technician come out to say that I was correct and they needed to order a new one. Its now 3 Months later and I do not have a refrigerator. We have given up on LG. Never again. Pass the word around. Do not wait on them to do the right thing. We ended up purchasing a Kenmore Refrigerator for the family. For the cost we paid for the LG, you would expect a quality product. But it seems like LG is using the US Market as a dumping ground for their defective items.

We purchased our refrigerator in August 2016. In February 2019 it stopped freezing and cooling. I called LG and the customer service (800 243 0000) and was scheduled for a service call the following morning. Based on the description of the problem the customer service rep advised there would be no charge for the service call or repair. (She didnt advise why, I didnt ask because I was thrilled after reading the other horror stories on this site.) The technician, Bryan ** called me about 15 minutes after the call to confirm our appointment the following morning and ask me about the problem so that he could ensure he had what he needed on the truck to make the repair. The next morning Bryan called when he was on his way to my house. (Within the time window that was scheduled. Another thing that doesnt happen that often that people actually show up in the time frame they are supposed to.) He began working at 10AM and finished by just after 11AM. He would courteous and very competent in making the repair. It turned out to be a failed/faulty compressor which was replaced with a new one. I already loved the fridge, I am extremely pleased with the customer care by all three LG employees I worked with in this transaction. Thanks!!!

Ive posted on this site regarding my Maytag stackable washer and dryer. Now Im posting regarding my BRAND NEW LG stackable washer and dryer. After much researching online regarding stackable washers and dryers, I finally went with the LG brand. My Maytag washer went dysfunctional after 6 months. For the following 8 months, I had Maytag repair guys at my home, every two weeks, to fix the same exact problem. I had an error code that flashed on the machine. It was THE same code each and every time. Every part that was replaceable on the machine had been replaced, yet the problem continued. Maytag customer service is HORRIBLE.Now LG. The washer, when pumping water into the machine, caused a loud thumping in my walls. The vibration of the washer caused a rubbing and squelching noise from the dryer stacked on top. The company is well aware of the dryer problem and told me, There is nothing we can do about it. They are selling a machine they KNOW has a problem. The washer problem was an electrical problem, also not fixable. And when a certified LG technician comes to your home and tells you in all honesty that he has nothing good to say about his company, then THIS IS A MAJOR problem. The machines are 2 DAYS OLD AND DO NOT WORK. Customer service is HORRENDOUS. I literally spent an entire day talking with customer service. It was only when I was speaking with the 8TH representative that a repair appointment was finally made. One representative actually asked me this, Can you describe the noise? Can you better describe the noise? Can you give different words to describe the noise? Who knew there were so many ways to ask the same exact question repeatedly? I also had to repeat answers to other questions as well.Needless to say, the machines will be returned and I am on the hunt for a different brand. The problem is, when you go to research the variety of brands, all of them have complaints. And what I have noticed is that for the majority of brands, their machines become dysfunctional at the two year mark. This is pretty shabby, considering you are spending close to $1000 or more per machine. I just dont have thousands of dollars every year to spend on appliances because the companies out there, cant seem to make durable products anymore. My parents have Kenmore appliances. Theyve had the same appliances for YEARS and no problems. What happened to decent machines? And what the heck happened to great customer service?? If there was a 10 star option for the worst service and machines imaginable, I would choose that.

Not even a month after we purchased the matching LG front load steam washer and dryer we started having issues. The washer started leaking water from the door when it was running. Maintenance guy came out and basically told us it was our fault. Now a year later, when we open the dryer it literally smells like we have farm animals living in the dryer. Maintenance guy comes out and once again its our fault. These machines are high maintenance and require a complete wipe down after every use. Wipe down the gaskets the doors and leave them open to air out (we have a toddler yeah thats safe) Dryer had to be semi disassembled and the amount of lint the bypasses the filter is INSANE! Why even have a filter it doesnt look like it catches anything! Them wiped down with bleach and sprayed with white vinegar. This is ridiculous and we will never go with another LG appliance ever again.

I paid approximately $400 in flat fees for LG to fix my broken dishwasher (2 visits by their representatives STEIN Appliances starting November 2014). Neither of their solutions worked, the dishwasher will still not operate properly and they have yet to refund my money. Instead, they provided me with a credit towards a new one of approx. $450. This in effect will cost me, when you account for the new machine, delivery, installation, taxes approx $1135. I advised them I would accept their offer IF they returned the approx. $400 I paid for repairs the failed to make. In spite of 2 emails, I have not received a response (approx. 20 businessdays).

We have an LG TV and it was a decent TV so when we decided to buy a new refrigerator, we looked at Costco and decided that LG was what we wanted to go with. I purchased it with Amazon and purchasing from them is always good so I had no problems there. But the quality of the refrigerator itself is bad. It was faulty and broken. I returned it immediately. I did not wanna risk the same thing because the repair guy who came out from A&E said that even though that wasn’t the problem with most LG refrigerators, the compression unit was definitely something that went out within the first 18 months. The repair guy would actually recommend GE over LG any day of the week. And customer service was terrible as well. I had several issues, especially since the LG product leaked water uncontrollably out of the ice compartment. There was nothing that we were pushing either. It was just dripping. We ended up having some water damage to our wood floors and Im still trying to get LG to pay for that. It’s been over a month.

On 2/18, we purchased an LG refrigerator, oven, microwave and dishwasher. After installing all of the listed appliances, everything appears to be working fine except for the dishwasher. The rinse cycle contains to display an LE error code. We contacted LG immediately after receiving the code and we were told that the LE code indicates that we need a new motor. I am really unclear as to how a brand new machine that has never been used needs a new motor! LG has been awful with responding to our repair needs. As of today, we still have not received the motor repair that we have asked for. They keep stating that they are going to send someone out, but no one has come out as of yet. Please help!

French door, bottom freezer. Freezer space very good & easy to use with drawer providing better access. Door for milk and other items reduces times opening refrigerator. Would prefer two larger veggie drawers instead of three. Has larger meat drawer at bottom which allows for many shaped items. Just check local area for repair centers just in case something may need to be repaired for any brand appliance purchased.

This machine (LG wt5480cw) has been nothing but trouble. The detergent draw stayed full of water after every load I purchased the extended warranty thru LG coverage until 2019. They sent out a repairman 4 times finally fixed it. Now the tub will not drain completely so I called for repair. This is their customer Julies reply. We have been out there 3 times under the warranty and I have used up the money on those other calls even though they were for the same problem. They kept opening a new claim number (which they should have not done it was the problem). Now we are going to buy out the service contract for $267.00 leaving me out in the cold when I thought I was safe until 2019.So what is the sense in buying extended warranty if they deduct the service calls from the original price of the washer until it surpasses it purchase price then youre screwed. I could have paid for the service call without their RIP OFF EXTENDED WARRANTY CRAP and been ahead. Now I have $267.00 to replace a $900 washer. Please do not buy the extended warranty or better yet DO NOT BUY ANY LG PRODUCTS.

I purchased this LG Top Loader washer in October 2010 along with the extended service agreement. From the beginning I had nothing but problems, I got the UE code often, it would run the rinse cycle over and over, clothes ended up in a knot, etc. The service company checked it, said the legs needed balancing and it was fine, NOT FINE! Finally the recall happened and after fixing it, everything was WORSE. Every load was UE, the timer wouldnt advance, all the issues I have read about here. The service agreement sent someone out who was here 1 minute and said this was an LG issue and they would call me back. No call back, numerous calls to LG who opened a case at my insistence at a replacement. LG said they would get back with me in 7 to 10 days, which didnt happen. Set up another appointment with service contract, took the morning off work, and guess what a NO SHOW!!! I suggest everyone with these problems call Consumer Affairs (the government agency listed on our recall letters), I lodged a complaint there and was seriously considering joining one of the class action lawsuits about this fiasco! Service company said I had to have one more service call before they would consider the machine a LEMON, so I insisted it NOT be a third party vendor, but an actual LG repair person. This person called me to let me know when he would be here, had a LG shirt on, and after one minute said the recall fixer only did half the job, not to worry he could fix it. He said some of the vendors LG hired to do the recalls only replaced the software and then didnt do the proper programming. He proceeded to replace the rotors, the motor and finished programming the software. It did work! Not perfect as my clothes are more wet than I would like, so I have to run an extra spin cycle sometimes, but I am not getting the UE error codes, and able to use spin only cycle without water dumping in! He said dont use the cotton/normal setting, use casual and if washing towels wash 4, not only 2, and better to do bigger loads than small. The machine has a hard time sensing light small loads. I still would never purchase an LG large appliance again, or certainly this big fancy machine if I knew small light loads would be an issue, and certainly will not purchase an extended service agreement! So, moral of the story... INSIST on an actual LG repair person, even when dealing with the extended service company.

This LG manufacturer has to be the worst experience of customer service I have ever had in my life. I have been trying to contact customer service, the supervisor of LG and all they kept doing is lying to me and promised me a courtesy refrigerator bin and told me I would get a call from the supervisor. In 3 days they havent called. I called them back and told them what happened. They gave me confirmation numbers 3 times and kept me on hold for 40 minutes just to get through a supervisor, the customer service agent told me she will just email me a order # to my email. I checked my email and there is no email from LG. I called again and told me, We cannot send you the bin cause your warranty expired. There you go more lies from LG.Thats after they told me they had no problem sending me one courtesy bin to my home. Still nothing. They wasted my time on the phone and lying to me. Some of their product are cheap. They are plastic and break so easily and are very fragile. They treat their customers bad and they really dont care from the way their employees treat the consumers. From my experience do not buy from LG. They treat you horribly and they lie to their customers. They are people you wouldnt want to do service with and they need to improve their products. I am serious!!! Stay away from my horrible experience with LG!

Bought this stove to replace another LG range model that had a recall on for burners that would not turn off but LG refused to do anything. With hesitation I decided to buy another LG range because it matched my other appliances and 11 months later I am again without a functioning stove. The motherboard has to be replaced as the right burners will not turn on unless you turn on the left burners in addition to the oven not turning off sporadically. While they have agreed to replace the part, I have no guarantee beyond that. Having paid $1800 to replace my previous range in addition to a LG tv in the last year, I have lost all confidence in the LG brand and will ensure to share my experiences both with the products and lack of empathy by the customer service employees. Customers do not want to hear that appliances break down and other responses like how would me putting myself in your shoes right now help you? or when commenting about the condition of my previous White Westinghouse range reliability making statements such as you replaced it for a reason though didnt you? The reason at the time was purely updating my kitchen. While LG products are aesthetically pleasing, they are simply unreliable and a safety concern.

Advised to replace unit after it failed again after warranty. Fridge plastic rakes broke. Replaced on warranty. Cheaply made poor design. Broke again after warranty. Last night the light/control unit caught fire and melted the inside top of unit. Temp was very hot and filled with smoke. Found out from former service company that there is a call back due to fire hazard. They service all major appliances. They will not service LG. Called LG. They did not offer much until I raised the service bulletin. Range: electronic board fried and was replaced on warranty. Now off warranty, two elements are burned out. Called LG and asked for parts. The rubber case around the door has black mold around it, which would cause dirty black stain on cotton shirts/bed sheets. If this is obviously a darn bad engineer or defect, why cant we do anything but cry and watch LGs executives getting richer with their Life is good slogan? Does anyone here work in the law department that can help everybody out? All I can do now is to go around and give this link to all websites that carry LG washers so that everybody has a chance to read reviews from the actual users, not paid writers who claim to be experts.

Purchased a $1500 5 burner range (gas) late Nov 2013. Was delivered and installed December 2013. Used the cook top, but not the oven until Christmas. Christmas day dinner was ruined due to oven not functioning properly. Took twice the time to cook as it should have, nothing browns, everything looks anemic. Called Home Depot and got LG certified tech information. First visit January 2014, next 2 visits included 2 new sensors and a control board. Still does not work properly. Multiple calls to LG, and was promised that after 3 visits and 3 parts replaced it was deemed a lemon and would be exchanged for new range. Never happened. 10 months and 8 tech visits later, and I still dont qualify for exchange/replacement. Executive services is useless. Adrienne (the supervisor of all supervisors) asked for receipt and invoice to be faxed for the resolution team. Faxed immediately after conversation and one week later was told I STILL dont qualify for exchange or refund. When I asked her what does qualify she said, as an LG customer you are on a need-to-know basis. She refused to tell me! I have not encountered ONE LG person who has been helpful or even nice. I will soon be replacing all 5 major LG appliances with Samsung. NEVER WILL I BUY LG AGAIN. Luckily Home Depot has facilitated this interaction and I am now getting my money back. Home Depot customer service is AMAZING.

I like so many others, purchased my French Door LG refrigerator on 11/13/2015. Almost four weeks ago I walked into the kitchen and discovered a puddle of water on the floor. Called a local repair service and they came over and said it was the board. They ordered a new one, which took two weeks to get. Installed it and guess what, that wasnt the problem. Its the compressor! I has to call a certified LG repair service and they have ordered the new part, said it will take 7-10 days to get. So hopefully by the end of next week it will arrive. In the meantime after reading all of these complaints I have called NBC News Better Get Bacquero and am also filing a complaint with the District Attorney in NYS. I suggest that everyone who has these issues (there seem to be over 1900 of us) do the same thing. By the way, if you check out the complaints re: the Kenmore refrigerators also made by LG there are a total of over 4000 complaints. Something needs to be done!!

After two years, our LG dishwasher stopped pumping out the water after washing. Upon calling LG customer service, after having to pre-pay an expensive repair bill, they sent a technician to our home to repair the machine. We are now on our fifth visit and the machine is still not repaired. The repair person just took the new parts, put them in the machine, slid the machine back into the cabinet and left, never to return to complete the job.The machines quality is poor, parts difficult to get, and service totally incompetent. Avoid this companys products at all costs. They are over priced, do not last, and are difficult to get repaired. We also own an LG refrigerator and after one year, the ice maker/water dispenser system totally failed. We are talking about a two thousand five hundred dollar refrigerator. Again, avoid LG appliances, they are junk! Their repair service is just as bad, if not worse.

I called LG and they said they wont take Sears word and documentation, and I have to get an LG repairman to come and look at it. The LG guy showed up and told me yep, thats it. Just having my dog walk by and bump a knob with his tail turns the burners on. The biggest issue Im now facing is that my right hand burners will not turn on unless the left hand burners are also on and even then they only produce high heat. I tried to get my issues addressed while the appliance was still under warranty but LG is horrible to deal with. They requested a copy of my receipt which I provided but unfortunately they dont have people smart enough their to read the receipt where my range is clearly listed. I purchased LG washing machine model #WT5101HW on 6-26-2011. In December, I realized that the hot/cold cycle was not hot. The water was really not even warm. I called LG and after speaking to numerous people, they agreed to send a tech out. On December 20, 2011, the tech arrived only to inform me that it was an ongoing problem and there was nothing he could do. It was the way LG designed the machine. On the hot cycle, it adds both hot and cold water so that is why it is not hot. I was furious! I called LG and they informed me that if I wanted to wash my clothes in hot water to use the sanitary cycle which is a 3 hour cycle or the bright whites cycle. My washing machine has an internal heater that is supposed to heat the water to 122 degrees on bright whites and 158 on sanitary. On my bright whites, it is only 90 degrees and not sure what it is on sanitary. LG is advertising that they have a hot cycle when in fact it is not hot and it makes no sense to add cold water to perfectly good hot water and then heat it back up! How is this energy efficient? I called LG again today and now I am being informed that the heater only works on sanitary and if I want hotter water on my cycles, I need to turn up my hot water heater. On page 7 on the instruction manual, it clearly says, the heater increases water temperature and provides better cleaning for sanitary and bright whites.” So, even LG is admitting hotter water cleans better! This machine is a complete joke. LG should not be able to advertise that this machine has a hot cycle when it fact it does not.

After trying for 6 months to fix the washer using steps outlined by LG, the problem has only gotten worse. LG offered to send a repair service out to fix the washer for nearly $500, which is almost as much as the washer cost. When I mentioned that the problem seems widespread online and that LG was offering no-cost service calls to others experiencing the same problem (it appears to be a consistent and easy fix of replacing the board and stator), they refused to offer the same service and insisted the repair would include a hefty fee. We bought 5 LG appliances in April of 2010 and had them installed in August same year. So far we have had to have the wall oven repaired twice after only 3 years. After the first repair it broke down again within 7 months and we were told the warranty for the new part was only 6 months! Trying to get a second repair took over a month of angry phone calls just to try to get a LG certified repair shop to even book an appointment! When contacting customer service they will not let you speak with any sort of management/supervisory personnel and there is no way to receive an address for a letter of complaint. Our convection microwave also stopped working after less than 3 years and had to be replaced at the same time as the second oven repair. Should have been done with the first oven repair but could not get the part from LG in time and they were going to charge for another service call!Side by side double drawer bottom mount freezer refrigerator hasnt had the water dispenser work for a couple years. Their top of the line dishwasher has been having grinding sounds for over a year and this week is now on a continual run cycle no matter which cycle you request, just does not stop as well as having the loud grinding sound the whole time it runs whether 2 minutes or 20 hours! Just waiting for our induction cooktop to be the last of the appliances to quit, should be coming any time now! It astounds me that consumers can pay top dollar for products and get lower than average results with the products and customer service. Trying to speak to anyone within the customer service center is a lesson in how not to conduct business, and not being able to have a contact address or email or phone number for customer complaint is infuriating.

It was a very big refrigerant. Very spacious. Very cold. It had big shelves. Large ice maker that was very big. Stayed cold all time. Everyone should have one. If I can get another one I would. It was over my expectations. I love LG appliances. I think everyone should own them. But since they cost so much not everyone can own them and its too bad save on energy. I always save hundreds when I switch to LG. I havent had to call him her repairman not once because you dont have after your warranty. We had LG appliances 2010.

I have an LG fridge model LTC223505ST that has been a problem since the year after I bought it. I have had LG repairmen come out 4 times, twice in the last two months and there is still ice build up under the crisper and in the freezer. My husband slipped and almost fell in the kitchen because water had leaked from the fridge all over the floor. Ive told customer service that I have a lemon but they dont seem to care. And I hear that LG doesnt like to replace their models that dont work. They are the worst appliance company and I will never buy another LG. Customers matter, too bad they dont know it.

We bought an LG refrigerator in October of 2015 when we moved into our house and had no issues with it for the first 4 years and now it has been nothing but problems! The refrigerator continues to go through periods of not keeping foods cold in the freezer. The issue has now moved into the refrigerator as we awoke this morning to our ice machine which had melted all over our hardwood floor. I have called technicians in the past and they have been unable to help and now when I call no one is willing to service the refrigerator as it is becoming a common occurrence and unable to fix! I would not recommend LG unless they find a way to fix this.

The Model No.GL-D372RLJM has a very serious design defect: it possesses an irreparable heater plate which is a crucial part of the defrosting system. Once this heater plate cracks, cooling of the lower section of the fridge stops and the whole fridge must be trashed. Our fridge developed this problem when it was only 5 years old. After a lengthy wait, LG made an exchange offer, in which the worth of this fridge was deemed just 15% of the original purchase price. A fridge having a life span of 5 years is ridiculous. Equally insane is the policy of making the customer pay for LG’s own design defect.

Bought a new white side by side LG refrigerator about 1 1/2 years ago from a local big box retailer. The plastic trim pieces around the electronic controls/water dispenser/ice dispenser have turned yellow. The refrigerator is bright white and the large bezel and drain plate is now a disgusting yellow. I first tried to resolve the matter with an online chat representative who was absolutely clueless. She couldnt even figure out what parts they were on her schematic. She finally gave up and had me complete an online upload form with pictures that I had to take. She said she would call me back after I uploaded the form. I uploaded the form with pictures and after two days no response. So I did another online chat with another agent. I gave her my case number and all she said is Sorry its out of warranty. She gave me the phone number of their parts distributor for the Eastern USA and the girl who answered the phone instantly put me on hold and never came back. This is ridiculous! The trim pieces are about $180.00. So, dont ever buy a white LG refrigerator and if you would like customer assistance on their product - Dont buy an LG Refrigerator.

My refrigerator is 6 years old. The ice maker needed to be replaced when it was six months old then the ice maker does not adequately produce enough ice. The door spring just broke two months ago. The drawer is broken. The plastic on the shelves have fallen off and the ice maker lever fell off a year ago. It is not a quality refrigerator for the price of $2200.00 made by LG. I also purchased the LG dishwasher at the same time and had to have service on it 5 times. It never cleaned the dishes very well and I tried to talk to customer service at LG and not only were they rude, the woman in customer service was threatening and nasty to me on the phone. I went two months at one time without a dishwasher when the dishwasher was fairly new. The customer service did not want to hear from me or help me in any way. This dishwasher cost $700. I had it for 5 years and had to get rid of it. Needless to say, I will never purchase LG appliances again.

Yesterday I stepped into a puddle of water at 5:00 am, thinking it was my puppy that had an accident. I turned on the light to find that my refrigerator had stopped working, and I had a lot of water all over the floor. It is a 2 year old refrigerator, and never expected this kind of trouble with a newer and expensive unit. Either way, dealing with LG, has been a nightmare!! Nothing but excuses, as to why they can’t come out to repair it!!! We not only don’t have a working fridge, but also keep dealing with inept employees that are useless, and scrambling to salvage our groceries!!! Even after an appointment gets scheduled, some other repair place, calls and reschedules it. We will never buy another LG product, this is terrible customer service!!!!

I have model LSSE3026ST (LG Studio electric range). As others have reported, the stovetop turns on with the slightest bump of a knob. We have had dinner guests help in the kitchen and accidentally turn on the stove. My husband and I have accidentally turned the stove on numerous times as we reach into a cabinet or the microwave. I have to check the stove each time I leave the house because I am terrified that somebody in our house may have accidentally bumped a knob and turned the stove on. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE!!! LG refuses to acknowledge or correct the problem, despite numerous consumers having the same exact complaint. They have denied my request for a fix. I check recalls every week just expecting to find this range on the list, but not yet. I hope it doesn’t take a serious incident for this to be addressed.

I bought an LG Dishwasher in October of 2017. In March of 2019 (less than a year and a half later), the electrical control panel stopped working so I was unable to use the product. Since it was 5 months past the warranty, I was charged $135.31 for a technician to come out and diagnose the problem. I was informed that I would then have to pay for the repair and labor after the technician ordered the new part. When the technician arrived, he had a new electronic control panel (so he already knew what the problem was before even looking at the dishwasher) and told me that I would not be charged for the repair or labor because this was such a common problem - that they had the NEW MODIFIED electrical control panels in stock. He said that in the NEW MODIFIED control panels, they have added a moisture barrier because in the old version, moisture from steam would get into the control panel and ruin the electrical system. I asked him why there hasnt been a recall on this product since it was so common, and he said that he didnt know why but there has been a Service Bulletin released regarding this same issue. I then called customer service to get a refund of the $135.31 that I already paid, and they would not give a refund even after being escalated to a supervisor. I asked to be escalated again and was informed that he could not do that. I tried to call the President of the company and got no answer and no way of leaving a VM or email. Considering this is a COMMON DEFECT in the product and a modified control panel has been created for this issue, there should be a recall and all expenses paid. I want my refund of $135.31 since this was LGs defective product and not anything that I could control! A complaint with the BBB has been filed and I will continue to let people know that they should stay away from LG products.

When I purchased my LG Washer I was so excited! I researched washers and chose this particular company because I read reviews that discussed the quality & quantity capabilities of this particular brand. I spent more than I had planned on this purchase because I wanted a quality washer. I loved this washer, it was the one thing in the house that I told my family I truly enjoyed using. I recommended it to my friends who were looking to purchase a new washer... It was the best appliance I had EVER owned...THEN IT HAPPENED! The intake valve on the washer messed up and needed repair. That was okay, everything has to have maintenance. So I called MULTIPLE appliance repair shops (11 to be exact), and was told time after time, Maam we dont work on LG appliances, it is impossible to get parts for them. So I called Lowes (where I had purchased the appliance), they no longer take care of parts but instead give you the number of the place to order parts for the products they sale. My husband called the number, ordered the part (which he paid for so it could be shipped to our door)... He was told the part would arrive in 7-10 days. We watch a video on how to install the part and wait for it to arrive... That was in OCTOBER!!! Todays date is December 27!!!After two weeks we called and was told it was on back order but should arrive in another two weeks. Second call was told it was still on back order may be two more weeks. Today when we called we were told the part can be found NOWHERE IN THE USA. He said they were trying to get one from Korea, and would try to let us know something in the next 24 hours about how many more weeks it would be... Listen, I am generally a calm patient person, I grew up in a house with 14 people, I understand waiting your turn. However, I also own a company and I know that your product is only as good as your customer service & support! It doesnt matter how great the product is... If you cannot repair it when it is broken... IT IS JUNK!I will NEVER buy a LG Product again... NEVER! I am trying to save someone else from the same heartache of walking past a brilliant, expensive product on your way out the door to the laundry mat. If you are part of the LG team please learn from this review... You have a great product, but unless you improve your customer service, and parts availability... You will not last long. I will most likely have to purchase another washer, and move forward from this mess. IT WILL NOT BE AN LG APPLIANCE.

The looks are appealing. Its function has been great. Everything in its design is functional and the movable shelves are really nice as to cleaning I can remove the glass and clean any spills that occur. It has the spill proof shelves when there is a spill its so easy to clean up. Its quiet when running as we have an open concept room so that doesnt interfere. I love the bottom freezer and will always opt for that as there is so much storage and the convenience of two drawers to pull out what I need. I can also pull that out and clean when needed.

I am not a wealthy woman so when I bought the LG fridge I thought it would last a long time (Only replaced because my 14 yr. old fridge died). It is 2.5 years old and it quit on December 24, 2017 (our Christmas dinner sitting in that fridge was ruined). I called their customer service dept., was hung up on the first call; the girl I spoke with last did the smartphone diagnosis which truly is a joke. Said freezer door was open. It wasnt and hadnt been. All the food inside was lost, so we are now trying to make do with a small cooler to keep a few things. Dont know when or if it will be fixed. Bought at Home Depot and Ill tell you neither LG nor Home Depot is going to do anything. I dont know what Im going to do. I dont have the money to replace all the food lost. Its so very frustrating. Ive heard so many complaints since this happened. Wish there was a group lawsuit; Id join in. If you go on Home Depot site, the new customers just love them. Hope they wont have this happen but Im sure now that most will. Wish I could warn anyone whos going to buy one and I hope this helps.

We purchased new LG front load top of the line largest capacity washing machine (and Dryer) through Best Buy less than 1 month ago. The first time we used it with a large load of clothes it shook so bad it was bumping against the wall. We called for service and two very young men came as a team, looked at it for two minutes and said it was installed too close to the wall and that was why it was vibrating so bad. They moved it 3 away from wall and left without testing it.Next day, another load of clothes and no change, it sounds like a machine gun and a thrashing machine all in one. Another call to LG and they scheduled the LG expert to come out. He takes the washer apart and discovers one of the shock absorbers is missing the connecting pin and was never hooked up. He orders the part and returns a week later to make the repair. While he was here we complained about the second problem with this washing machine which is the water valves that open and close to allow hot and cold water to fill the washer do so in such an abrupt manner that our plumbing pipes bang all the way up to the second floor. His answers is we need to call a plumber to have our pipes fixed. Now we had two other washing machines in this exact location connected to the exact same pipes and never once heard our pipes bang. He also said we could google some third party suppliers of some sort of aftermarket connector that helps with this sort of problem. We should buy them at our expense. Ok we spent $1,200 for this top of the line washing machine and need to buy after market parts to make it work. Round 3 - we called to speak to the LG rep again and explain that the washing machine is still banging our pipes and when it goes into spin mode it shakes, uncontrollably and makes noises that sound like it is coming apart. They are sending another expert Monday. I will not be satisfied until they remove this piece of junk from our home and give us a full refund. I do not know what happened to this companys quality control. We previously owned top of the line LG washing machine and dryer that lasted for 10 years without a service call. WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT BUY THIS WASHING MACHINE. Pictures attached for make and model.

Bought a LG Top load washer less than 3 years ago for $720. Its constantly going out of balance several times every load you wash. Now the drive shaft broke and took out the wash plate as well. Despite the fact that the front of the washer has a 10 year warranty sticker plastered on the front of it LG refused to authorize the repair center to cover the parts under warranty, the cost of which is approx. $400-450. I called LG directly and they and talked to a technician first and she just kept telling me it was not her department and that she was only authorized to talk to the service repair company and not me.I had to beg to talk to a supervisor and had to wait forever to talk, for her to get on the line only to tell me that the 10 year warranty only covers the rotor and stator, not the drive shaft and basically told me I was SOL. Eight years ago, I purchased an LG Tromm washer and dryer. I have been very satisfied with my purchase until 9 days ago when the thermal coupler went bad in the dryer, and I have now been waiting for 6 days to have that part replaced. I cannot fault the repair service I am using in my area. They are as frustrated as I am. They, too, are waiting on the part. So here is what I learned...I have had the dryer for 8 years and it performed well and I am pleased with the product; however, what I am not pleased with is that when a repair is needed, there are not any US parts manufacturers for LG. So if the part is not available in the US warehouse, you must wait for them to get the part in, which is the situation I am in at this time. Buyer, beware. The LG appliances are top end and perform well, however, if they need service, you might be better off to buy an American made product by Samsung (i.e. Whirlpool). At least, when those popped together plastic parts break, they are manufactured in the US and you wont have to wait for 7 days! I also own an LG refrigerator, dishwasher, stove and as I said, a washer...Because of my experience with my dryer, I have added to my nightly prayers that they dont need repair because this is past ridiculous. If I would have known that the appliances couldnt be repaired in a timely manner, I would have probably purchased a less well made and certainly cheaper appliance!

I like side by side doors with the freezer on the bottom. The special compartments in the side door are also a good feature that I didnt know I needed but now wouldnt want to be without. We purchased an LG refrigerator model #LFXS30766S from Lowes for around $2400.00 a little over three years ago. Recently that refrigerator just died and we lost all of our food and had a water mess to clean up. We contacted Lowes and of course the extended warranty expired just a few months prior and they could do nothing for us short of selling us a new refrigerator. We contacted LG and they agreed that it was probably a bad compressor which they warranty for ten years. They sent a new compressor and associated parts directly to our house and contacted a local appliance repair company to come and do the repairs. Thats when the nightmare really began. The repair company scheduled us 8 days out and when the repairman showed up he said he couldnt fix it then because it was a three hour job and he needed more parts. We were rescheduled for another 11 days out. The day before that appointment it was canceled for unknown reasons. The next scheduled appointment was a week away. This time a different repairman showed up and he had no idea that someone had already been there previous and that the compressor and parts were at the house. He left to go get refrigerant and we never heard from him again. That was day 26 without a refrigerator. I finally just contacted a recommended local appliance repairman and he came and replaced the compressor the next day. What a nightmare! Well never buy another LG appliance EVER, and will warn everyone we know to avoid them also.

LG French Door Refrigerator was moved to new address and wouldn’t come on at all. I figured it was the cord, got pulled or something of that matter. I called to inquire on warranty and set appointment for repair. The place it was purchased gave me the number of the repairmen and the repairman showed and said he was not certified to work on LG, call Sears. So, I called Sears and they offered a warranty that would cover all repairs and services for $274, actually $300.00 after tax. They set a 2nd appointment, they show and tell me that $900+ in repairs and I only have $500.00 worth of coverage. I questioned the repairman that warranty was to cover all repairs/pans underneath and the ice maker, which is funny because it is not hooked up to water for ice. I guess he has some spirit that will tell him and guess what, it needs a new cord. I had Sears email the so called extended warranty. It only covers $500.00 toward repairs, or $500 credit at Sears, or I can have my $300.00 back. Wow, this is service that says to the consumer, I will sell a warranty that sounds great but the actual warranty covers LG for selling a $2,000.00+ fridge that is only worth $500.00 maybe and that is only when it is under 2 years old.

I recently purchased all new LG appliances in the new black stainless. Love the door in door fridge, enjoy the stove/oven and microwave, but the dishwasher is impossible. The rack design for glasses will not hold any size glass. Glasses continually fall and turn over during cleaning. Often the very top new utensil basket gets caught on the glasses and the racks will not close without being pushed aggressively. The bottom rack has collapsible sections that fall down without force and plates become scattered and stuck together during the clean cycle. The overall cleaning, look and quietness of the dishwasher is good. BUT you will become easily frustrated with the basket configuration. Wish I could return this impossible appliance!!!

My daughter and I bought a house with new appliances, (LG) the refrigerator worked for 9 months but it was three months old when we started using it. When it failed, we called LG and they said it is out of warranty, you can hire an independent technician or hire us to diagnose the appliance. We hired someone who said it had a defective piece from fabrication. We called back to LG, they said they will repair for $400 where they will include the defective piece. I paid ($400) and they sent their technician who came and in a 5 minutes visit he said he came just to learn what was the problem, he would be back (one month already in this process). The next days we received a phone call from LG saying they wouldnt repair it because someone already put their hands on it and that we can expect $200 hundred refund (from my $400 I just paid) because the visit costs $200.How sad, how unfair, with my daughter a young person struggling to pay her bills receiving a treatment like this one. Now she has been more than a month with no refrigerator, lost the money she paid for the first technician and again the same amount by having LG putting their hands into her account in such a way. Their only suggestion is to buy a new one. Can I expect a little of justice for my daughter? I m planning to write a letter to the CEO but I know the chances for him to never read it are higher that the opposite. I hope you can do something about it.

The LG customer service is by far the worst that I have come across and I have worked in sales for god sake! The refrigerator we have had has broken about 4 times in the last two months with the repair people only being able to come in two weeks after the incident and saying that they cant replace the compressor until they have someone else come in and review the situation a week later making the first house visit a complete waste of time and not even necessary in the first place. On top of this upon calling the company themselves you will put you on hold for up to four hours while you hear the staff laughing in the back because they didnt even mute your end of the line properly with them telling you that theres not point in transferring the call to speak to someone else because they know what they are going to tell you already and this is coming from the staff themselves. Their products do not work properly as advertised so while the fridge wont give you any indicator that says that the temperatures are not adequate enough to store the food or cool it properly causes many health concerns that the staff did not seem to care about one bit. Due to the inability for this company to have some sense of product quality control I got very severe food poisoning to which I have a doctors note for and was told that I was lucky that it didnt result in death if I had eaten enough but unfortunately we dont all get so lucky. A couple of days ago we had to put my cat down due to sicknesses she received from her food not being cooled to the proper temperature and suffered greatly to the point she threw up so much bile that her insides became so inflamed that it made her unable to walk or even put pressure on herself to which I again have a Veterinarians note for and the staff not thinking it is a big deal because apparently it was just a cat and not a human even though I could have suffered the same fate as her to which they probably would not have blinked an eye too. After being put on hold and trying to solve this for the fourth time I was told someone would come in today that was sent by the company (11/29/2019) to which no one has came and they are not responding to my calls further proving that you will get the runaround. After all thats happened I just wanted to have a good thanksgiving or would have even settled for a thanksgiving at all but the food has been spoiled for almost three weeks now with my family being unable to refrigerate anything and still having to wait for a second review from the company themselves on the 6th which makes you question why the first person came in to look at the fridge in the first place. I was frustrated before not being able to eat properly but after four hours on hold and the head of their technology department saying that someone would be here today I had thought the problem was closer to getting fixed but im guessing that the no show for the promise that someone would come in today and the fact that they are not responding is their way of telling me that they dont really care and just said anything they could to get me off the phone. These products are not only unreliable but also unsafe and if you have a family or little kids should take into account that you are putting their lives at risk by using their products as well as your own with you being lucky if they take any accountability or even respond to your calls to do so. All in all I am not mad but just incredibly disappointed as I sit here waiting on the same problem to be fixed and not being able to feel the fur of my cat/hear her little footsteps around the house anymore as I am constantly reminded of it by the death trap that sits in my kitchen. If this can happen to me I am sure that it can and probably has happened to someone else and since I see that there are responses from the company on this website, I would also like the same with the hopes that this problem will be resolved because everyday that I wait is resulting in further irritation and if not responded to am prepared to take more extreme measures considering the loss of life that has occurred and negligence of this company/their staff. Also on a further note, keeping your customers on hold and then not even muting them properly while you take the time to joke and laugh about the loss of their pet is very unprofessional and needless to say not the way to do business especially if you dont know how to properly mute them so that they at least cant hear you while you mock them because they deserve that much at least. I will be awaiting a response on this matter and will reply with the best way to contact me/whatever information is needed to resolve this issue that has gone on longer than it should have and am hoping that you take into consideration how this could and probably has been affecting the others that trusted you enough to use your products/expose their families and loved ones to them. Thank you.

My LG Tromm washing machine has been one problem after another from Day 1.
My LG Tromm washing machine has been one problem after another from Day 1. It shakes so much that the floor vibrates and shakes the walls and has done this since I did my very first load of laundry in it. I have had 3 technicians come out to try to level the machine or fix the problem with no success. Secondly, the mildew smell that I have on my clothes will not go away. I leave my door open after every wash, clean the tub and rubber seals with bleach daily, and the odor is still very apparent. I purchased my washer and dryer in 2005, and I have hated it every single day I have used it. Whats even worse, I paid nearly $4000 for the machines and the pedestals. What a joke! Class action lawsuit all the way!
