We noticed, when using the washer, that several items of clothing came out with small holes in them. At first I thought it might be due to the clothing. But it has gotten worse. Now items like new jeans, t-shirts and pants are experiencing holes. So I felt all around the drum and didnt see any sharp items that would snag the clothes. But then I looked at the drum design. The drum is supported by three brackets. Each of these brackets have small drain holes about 1/8 high and 3/4 long on each side. Two of these brackets are located not near the dimpled holes in the drum. But the third bracket is located about 1/4 from the dimples. In looking at the cutouts in the brackets, I noted that they had sharp edges. I wet a heavy cloth and pushed it in between the dimples and the slot, simulating centrifugal force of a rotating drum. At times the cloth was snagged by the bracket. Therefore, I believe that there is a design deficiency. I checked the newer models at Sears and the slot on the brackets have been relocated away from the drum dimples. Please advise how do I get LG to correct this situation and compensate for lost clothes.

My door in door refrigerator ice maker makes very little ice since day 1 and stopped working 2 weeks ago and then noticed my food in freezer was thawing out. Had to trash some of it. I called LG since it is only 5 months old. Got the runaround like they did not want to come out. Technician comes out today and says compressor is bad and tells me it will be another 3 or 4 days before he can return to replace part. So I spend $1500 on a fridge and 5 months later they cannot immediately fix it!!! I should be able to claim lemon on this and now I find out LG and Samsung are not good refrigerators to buy.

The reefer we bought is a clone of the French door bottom freezer machine that we have had at another house for several years. We especially like the ice maker built into the door and not using volume in the reefer box. We purchased the floor model from the Kona Lowes. The day after our kids left Kona, I noticed that my Cheerios milk was not quite as cold as it should be. There was a heavy frost build up in the refrigerated section and that section would only get to about 42F. The freezer and ice maker were working just fine. The folks at the warranty call center are polite and on the surface appear to be helpful, but after we hung up I feel like my issue dropped into a Black Hole. It sounds like that they could be located on the sub continent. At first they told me the machine was not in warranty because it was manufactured several years earlier. A copy of my receipt cleared that up.It seems that LG only has 1 authorized repair dude on The Big Island and when I called in the first week of August he was in AL for reefer school. Upon his return, I tried to contact him by phone and text to set up an appointment to have hands laid on our machine. With daily attempts on my part, sometimes several times a day, he only responded twice. I went back to LG customer service with my tales of woe and they located a repair dude in Kona and I contacted him. Several days later, he laid hands and then he contacted LG for the warranty parts. However, when LG put him on my job, they did not provide him with a Repair Authorization number. Without a RA#, he could not order the warranty parts. Since he is a one man shop and had other business to handle, I took up the battle to get the RA# to him. It appears that the Customer and Warranty service desks at LG are not connected electronically to the folks that issue RA#s. When I started my quest for the RA#, I was told that one would be issued in 24 to 48 hours. After 48 hours and no RA#, I called again and was told that they would have to walk to the back room to check on the progress. After their trip to the back room, I was told that another 24 to 48 hours would be needed. I then asked for the supervisor, and was connected to a lady that sounded like she could be in AL, where LG America is located. A RA# was sent to my Kona dude and he immediately ordered up the part, but he informed me that LG was notoriously slow in shipping parts. He was correct. I think that they walked the part to Kona rather than using a USPS flat rate box that gets things from MD to HI in 4 days or less. The part arrived, an appointment was set and the part was installed in less than 20 minutes. This was 2 months and 2 days after my first contact with LG. During this time, we could keep some stuff in the reefer, but not milk. Me not having Cheerios 5 days a week did not make me a cheery person... About mid way through my phone marathon with LG, I went to their Contact Us link on their web page and sent them a message listing my woes and displeasure with their Customer Service. They replied and asked if I would like to participate in a forum. I said, Sure, and was immediately informed that the forum was not longer available. There has yet to be a follow up to the Contact Us issue. I was expecting a post repair message asking to rate their service. It has now been almost 2 months since the service and the only thing in my Inbox for LG are notes telling me that they want to sell me an extended warranty... As nice as their machinery features and pricing are, their Customer Service has turned us off to looking towards LG for future appliances. I hope that you never have to call that 800 number that ends in 0000.

Bought a LG top load washer in 2013 and I hate it. Its a constant battle with the machine flashing messages and being unbalanced and constantly refilling with water and not wanting to spin. Totally wastes tons of water which we have to pay for living with a cistern and ironically I bought it because it was supposed to use less water, what a joke. I have never had to stand and watch a washing machine until I bought this evil machine. Oh why do I have to watch it so it doesnt waste all our water when it starts flashing the unbalanced code so then I have to stop it and try to move the wet clothes around so the stupid thing will continue on. I wouldnt wish this machine on anyone even if they were my enemy, its horrible. Im going back to a top loading Kenmore with a normal agitator that actually cleans the clothes. The only positive is that I bought the LG dryer at the same time and Ive actually had no problems with that.

Or you will get a error message...by this time the oven is well past 600 degrees. Wow, I can not believe someone has not been injured due to this poor design.

I bought a new washer dryer set from Home Depot 70 days ago (a little over 2 months). The bulb in the dryer wasnt working, ignored it for a while then decided to call LG service to have it fixed. It was a buck but what the heck, its a new dryer everything should work right. LG says the bulb isnt covered by warranty and that I can purchase it from them. WHAT? A brand new Washer Dryer for $1800 has a $1 busted bulb which they claims isnt covered under warranty. I ask why not and the answer I get is that the bulb is a consumable. A consumable, like a detergent or lint paper? To get to this bulb I have to unhinge the door, unscrew the cover inside the dryer and then replace. I thought consumables are something you use all the time, not have to open a screw and unhinge stuff to get to. So essentially they expect bulbs (and I wonder what else? belts? heating element? motor?) to keep failing in their dryer and they get away by saying its a consumable. LG has the WORST customer service ever and NEVER believe their warranty. BTW it took me 8 tries to get someone to Review the case thats 2 hours of effort to get someone to review an active warranty. Would you ever want to spend $1800 and be told the warranty is useless?

Updated on 08/02/2019: LG is blatantly cheating its customers in the name of Customer Service. They drilled my refrigerator without my knowledge and finally declared that the unit is not repairable after 30 days and 5 tries. The technician drilled my refrigerator without informing me. Now they are not ready to replace my unit as I do not have the purchase receipt, is this JUSTICE? What is the use of Serial Number on the unit. Am sure LG can extract all the details based on Serial number but they want to cheat the customers and humiliate them. Please stay away from LG, my young family suffered a lot due to LG.Original Review: We bought LG Refrigerator and it stopped cooling after 4 years. We called LG and they sent a service technician after 2 days, he did the repair and the refrigerator stopped cooling again after 3 days. Now the horror story starts. I called LG and they said that a service agent will call me back to schedule an appointment and it never happened. I called continuously for 4 days and each time its a 45 minutes wait but they just treat customers like garbage. I will never ever buy or endorse LG product in my life. LG does not value its customers, I felt humiliated and I am writing this review with a lot of pain.

Two years ago, my wife and I purchased an LG 7957295 French Door refrigerator. Its now 2020 and the compressor is shot. Sears wants $1000 to repair it or will give me a %50 discount if I pay $50 ($600 per year) for an appliance (all) warranty. I could have purchased a $3000 refrigerator for that amount of money. I checked and sure enough the LGs are having problems with their linear compressors I am told. The reviews say it and the repairmen are saying it. Yet, LG continues to sell them. Last, we have had numerous problems with this refrigerator from the start, loud auger sound in back, dents if you look at it, fingerprint resistant is anything but. I am heading out to buy a new refrigerator since I dont want any more problems with this item.

Center shelves on refrigerator cracked. Drawers broken. I am at loss as what to make of this substandard refrigerator. I imagine circuit board or sensor broken. Unsuccessful in obtaining any data to move my internal fridge to work, not even taking in consideration the substandard condition of the inside of refrigerator.

I have a 2 year old LG French door, bottom freezer LG stainless steel refrigerator. The refrigerator portion has stopped working. I have contacted 3 appliance repair companies that are LG certified. The air duct assembly that pushes the air to the refrigerator from the freezer is not available through LG. It is stating a 3 month back order. Appliance repair advisers stated that most often LG just discontinues parts if they have been on back order for a period of time. I have a 2 year old $2000 refrigerator that LG is unable to service. Every repairman that I have spoke to has stated never to buy from this company as they do not back their products or provide parts for repairs that are accessible in a timely manner. WARNING!!! DO NOT BUY LG APPLIANCES. They are unable to provide adequate service and repair. SAVE YOURSELF $1000S OF DOLLARS. BUY AMERICAN.

We purchased the LG Model # LDF7774WW just a few months ago and from the very first wash we noticed that it would not clean the dishes properly, even though I am in the habit of rinsing off the dishes under running water with a dish scrub brush before putting them in the dishwasher. Also, there is a setting for heated water on the panel. It clearly shows the temperature of 160 degrees. However, after suspecting this claim, I tested the water mid-wash with two distinctly different thermometers, one electronic, the other mechanical. Both thermometers showed readings of between 110 degrees and 109.4 degrees. This washer is simply designed to be inferior. Our past GE dishwasher would superheat the water to the point where you could get a mild burn if you were not careful removing metal items from the washer at the end of the cycle. With LG, the dishes feel a little warmer than room temp at the end of the cycle. Avoid this brand and especially this model. It is garbage.

I had the LG Refrigerator for little over 4 years. Replaced the compressor twice and paid $250 on both occasions. One was 2 years ago and just had my compressor replaced yesterday. The LG customer service is very unpleasant. They put me on hold over 11 minutes and hung up on me. So, I had to call in again, the rep. didnt seem like she wanted to be there and just wanted to collect a paycheck. My wife and I invested $5k in the refrigerator, washer and dryer. We will never again purchase their products. I am going back to GE.

Worst and Cheating Service from LG. Issue Started from Deepavali. I had complained regarding TV service before 40 to 50 days but still, the status is the same.My TV Model No. LG-LED/42LA6620 got a problem as the TV was not turning ON, regarding this I had complained and an executive told that they will come and diagnose the issue. After couple of days, he came and saw that there is a problem in it and told he will return in a couple of days and went. But later he did not return at all. He did not even receive our calls and we were in search of help, but nothing happened. Later I called to customer care and you people told that it will be done on chargeable basis. Even visiting charges should be beared by the customer. I agreed for that and requested for the executive at my place. And you people struggled a lot to arrange a person to my place but you people failed to do that. But we are the person who is suffering and ultimately our situation is like Wait or Go and as we got an expensive TV from you and fortunately or unfortunately I have got all LG brands in my house (TV, FRIDGE, WASHING MACHINE etc.,) and I am a promoter for LG product. But now am just afraid that how about future of the products I got. How the support and services for these products, am panicked. And after struggling a lot we didnt get any help from LG but we at the receiver end have to get our TV repaired and took that TV personally and went to the other city that is Hospet from Gangavathi for getting it serviced. After submitting that TV they told that it has to be diagnose and it will take a couple of days and we left our TV there and returned. After couple of days, they told that there is a motherboard issue and it will charge you around 7k to 9k.I told them to go ahead and service it. I want the TV to be Fixed. But trust me I have doubt on those technicians over there, I am having an impression that I am in safe hands or someone trying to loot us. But still, I told them to go ahead and service it. Later after a couple of days, I get a call saying that it will take a month to replace it. I told, Okay. Fix it as soon as possible. And later I get one more story that, We need bill sir as this motherboard is not available as of now, if you provide bill then we will look for depreciation and you can go for another model. Now am really frustrated and just cant control myself for simple issue, I am okay with taking TV personally to the service center, I am okay with replacing a motherboard, I am okay with money, I am okay with time. Now its a new phase. They are asking me to go for depreciation. But I managed my self to get the bill and submitted to them but until today am in the same situation and TV is in the same condition. Today 23/12/2017 morning when I called to the customer care, I get these type of responses ie., Sir you need to visit the dealer where you have submitted your TV, and, We cant help you in this, what the hell is this response from LG customer care, I made him realise that he is working for LG then he told that he will arrange call back. Later I called once again and narrated all the story to that lady, she told she will arrange a call back. Thank God that I got a call from LG but now they started with new story which clearly shows that they are cheating openly to the people. When I called in the morning and asked regarding the status of my TV, LG customer care people they told part is not available so it will take some more time. But after an hour I get a call saying that sir your LCD has problem as we are testing on your TV but there is problem in display. Now here we can see clearly, that from main office they are saying part is pending, and from Hospet dealer they are telling that, Sir motherboard we received and testing on it but there is a problem in LCD and it will be fixed with a charge of Rs: 24,000/- extra. If they tell us that its going to cost you more in which we can go for other options by dropping the idea of getting this tv repaired. This is so cheap activity done by you people to grab money or to drop the issue. If you people really need money/dont want to support then try to get it by earning with trust but not by cheating the innocent people, its our hard-earned money we spend on buy expensive gadgets by trusting giant companies. Now I am requesting you again to the experienced/some qualified engineer to look into the issue and solve it. Really LG is stepping back from giving services. Its really gonna affect the brand. I was promoter for the company but you people are making me to go for worst condition... If this is condition for few more customers then soon it is gonna be in helpless situation. I dont know what kind of engineers LG is hiring not capable to repair a simple issue then what for they hire a so-called qualified developers.

We purchased an LG dishwasher last year. Since it has been installed, the performance of this product has been terrible. The washing and drying cycle is terrible. I contacted LG, and they sent a repair service 3 times and it is not working better. Now that the warranty is not good anymore, they dont even want to consider a replacement. But it never worked well. It is the worst purchase I ever did and the worst experience ever. I still have many error codes and it is not even drying anymore. Ever since we bought our LG Model LFX31925ST in Nov. 2012, the ice maker is leaking on. You cant get ice from dispenser because all ice are frozen together and now the water is leaking from under the refrigerator and its not because of the water supply. I have purchased a LG Microwave Oven model MS4266OBS from Good Guys in 2018. The following statement is printed on the glass door of the MW oven: Smart Inverter Magnetron 10-year Warranty - Please see the picture attached. It doesnt say either Part only warranty or Limited Warranty. My LG MW oven does not heat after 4 years. LG Customer support asked me to perform a quick test and they determined that the Magnetron is faulty and need to replace. They also told me that they do provide the part free of charge but I have to pay for the labour. When I mentioned what is printed on the glass door of the MW oven, they said I need to refer to the operations a manual that comes with the MW oven to get full details of the 10-year warranty and its my faulty as I have not read the operations manual before making the purchase. As per the advice received from the LG Australia Customer Services, LG EXPECTS ALL CUSTOMERS TO READ THE OPERATIONS MANUAL OF ANY LG APPLIANCE prior to buying them as what is written in the operations manual could be a clear contradiction of what is printed on the appliance. This is misleading the customers who trust whats written on the appliance to be accurate as per how it is written on the appliance. BE CAREFUL with this dodgy company, their dodgy products and customer service! It is not possible for anyone to read the operations manual of a product at a shop before you purchase it. I am not sure how these companies were allowed to operate in this kind of dodgy manner.

Bought the washer all expecting a long lasting machine - 3 years into the proud ownership - the rear tub bearings went bad, I called over 25 people who work on washers. Found 4 that worked on LG, the bearing in the rear of the tub is worn out - don’t sound too bad, can’t get the parts - can’t get the tub rear assy either. So here I sit with a washer ornament in my basement out $2200 in the washer with the stands and no parts are available! This is a ripoff! The company should be made to repair these washers for this money. This is serious funds out. Not to mention the repair to this is $390 for the rear tub assy and the labor of $400. Almost $900 in this washer!

I have had four repairmen come out to work on this refrigerator. It has had a new computer board and compressor installed---and STILL does not cool like a refrigerator should. After the most recent install of those components, the LED light stopped working in the refrigerator. I started to look for the part to replace it--but did a diagnostic test on the refrigerator. Sure enough, the light came on again? A day later, the light went off. Did another diagnostic reset, and the light works again. Long story short, this refrigerator has become a nuisance. It is supposed to be a NEWER refrigerator that simply WORKS. It is supposed to keep your food cold. It is supposed to not be a hassle. LG has a long way to go when it comes to making a solid nuts and bolts refrigerator. If you buy an LG refrigerator, be sure to have a second one on hand in case your food spoils.

Our refrigerator went out about 3 weeks ago. We had one repair technician come out who said the compressor and motherboard needed to be replaced. He ordered the part and 4 days later came to do the repair. Upon disconnecting the compressor, he said there was something else wrong with the refrigerator as there was no Freon in the system. He indicated that either the evaporator was bad or there was a leak in the line. He said there should have been Freon in the system when he disconnected the compressor, but there was none. He indicated we needed to contact LG to have them send out one of their service technicians to complete the repair. That is when all the problems arose. LG issued a repair order and a new technician called us. When he learned that another technician had opened the refrigerator to change the compressor, he said he would not touch the refrigerator. We call LG back and requested the work order be directed back to the original technician at our request, but to our dismay, the technician said he did not have the equipment to do the repair. Since then we have been trying to get in touch with LGs executive services and they saying they will call us back if we get disconnected. Sure enough, when they attempt to connect us to their Executive Service group (about 2 or 3 times), we get disconnected and have not received a call back.We contacted several companies that LG has referred us to call and found one that said they would come out and evaluate the refrigerator, but we needed to get a work order from LG assigned specifically to them for them to come out and work on the refrigerator. We are still waiting on LG for that work order. What else can we do?

So excited to renovate kitchen. Never had LG appliance but heard great things so invested in ALL LG appliances: French door fridge, gas range, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer. Fridge: Linear compressor went out at 9 months. 20 phone calls and runaround before I could get LG to agree to service. Now, 6 months later, FF and E code seemingly freezer fan motor is defective. LG service tells me to unplug it for 8 hours and let it defrost all over My hardwood floors and “just put down towels.” And... If that doesn’t work, you need a new motor. BTW: The fridge to the floor is about 1/2 inch so no room for a towel.Gas’s range: Buyer beware. The knobs to light the stove will ignite if you lean on them and then slight turn. People with small kids are taking the knobs off. That is how easy it is to ignite the stove. Just last night my guest almost caught her sleeve on fire from leaning on a knob when talking to another friend. This stove needs recalled. I have tried but fell to deaf ears. Someone is going to be seriously burned, just a matter of time.Stove: Front started rusting 3 months after I got it. Of course they claimed user error. At that time only had used it about 10 times. Inside looked liked it had never been used. Got some of it off but still can see it. Washer: If you don’t clean the rubber gasket EVERY time you use the washer, water will run out the front. So far, knock on wood, love the dishwasher, microwave and dryer.Have had many defective things before and the difference is the service; standing behind products, great customer service, no hassle. That’s what keeps my business. I understand not everything is perfect, but take care of it and you will keep my business. LG FAILS in ALL OF THE ABOVE. Try to get ahold of them and when you finally do, it turns into us vs. them. Sooo disappointed and sick to my stomach knowing I now have another fail code on my fridge to deal with. I’m going back to Samsung. Much better quality and service.

We bought a front loading LG washer and dryer. We thought we were buying the best. It has turned out to be the worst. Our towels have a horrible odor. No matter what we do, the towels stink. I have used the correct soap. Cleaned the tub, but nothing helps. I dont smell it on our other clothes, just the towels. It stinks up the whole house.

I purchased an LG LRE30451 In 2006. No problems until recently. The stove would not turn off. You had to either be able to 1. Pull the electrical cord from the wall or 2. Turn off the circuit breaker to get it to turn off. At that time I was not aware of the recall on the stove. The next day, you would get burners that would not come on or you could not control the temperature. I found that there is a factory recall for these ranges for this very problem and that they are a fire hazard. I contacted LG and they told me that it would be 3 to 5 business days for them to get back to me. (Meanwhile you can not to use the stove because of the fire hazard). On the 5th day afternoon, still no contact so I called them. I was told that there were no notes in my file and that they would get someone on it immediately. After numerous calls back and forth I was told they made me an appointment for repair. This was 2 weeks out. They did not even check to see if I was available or not and could not give me time. I asked for the number for the repair facility they made the appointment with and after several calls back to LG they gave me a good number. This repair facility A & E Factory Service stated that they only do service in my area on Thursday and Friday. Someone had to be home from 8 am to 5 pm. Do they not realize people have to work? When I told them no one would be home, they suggested I contact LG to get someone else. Thus yet another call to LG. I was told they could do nothing else that this was the only repair facility in my area. I told them this was unacceptable and I wanted to speak to a supervisor.Well they put a guy named Cortell on the phone. This was as useless as the last bunch I spoke with. He proceeds to tell me that basically it was not his problem I was not available and that they could start the whole process over looking for a different repair facility. Now, I was already told, This was the only repair facility in my area. When I advised him of what I was told prior he stated that I was told incorrect information. I asked how long it would take and he said just to locate a facility was another 3 to 5 days. You’re kidding right. Remember, cannot use the stove due to the fire hazard... When I asked him if LG was going to pay for my husband and I to eat out he stated no. When I told him I would continue to use the stove and if my house burns down it will be LGs problem. He then told me if I continued to use the stove knowing it is defective, it would be on me not them. Needless to say, they expect me to go approximately 1 month without cooking! When I told him they could just replace the stove he stated, We are not going to do that, your model is from 2006. Now just like other people stated you normally have a stove that lasts 20 years before it goes bad. LG products do not last and when you do have an issue their customer service is horrible and they do not care! I am still waiting for the second round to start.

I purchased an LG refrigerator which is six years old, however, the parts are still under warranty. The freezer portion of the unit no longer gets cold enough to freeze. I called for service and there are only two service centers that service my (highly populated) area. I cant get an appointment for weeks with one of the centers and the other came only after a few days, however, they did not fix the issue. My food is now lost! I called the service center again to provide them another opportunity to fix the issue but I am unable to contact them and their mailbox is full. I called LG and asked for their assistance and they were very clear that I had no option but to work through the service center. They seem unsympathetic to my problem and offered no assistance to resolve my issue. They are basically forcing me to go weeks without a freezer or to purchase a new unit. I am very disappointed in the customer service and would never purchase another product from this company.

Updated on 05/02/2021: This is my second review on the same LG electric range. This range has not worked correctly since the first month or two after we bought it! The temperature is NEVER at the correct temperature, the fan never stops blowing even though it’s in regular bake so that every baked good comes out too dark, and the cleaning feature has NEVER worked correctly. I have contacted LG and after them blowing me off the first time, I came here to warn people away from this garbage LG range. LG finally, after contacting me because of my first review, had two different repair companies come to my house. The first company had made seven appointments to attempt to see what was wrong. Four different repairmen came and each one gave us a different story and ordered the wrong parts, resulting in them having to order something else and come at a later date. The second company sent one repairman and he replaced some parts also and it seemed ok, but it’s still all over the place temperature wise and the fan never goes off, still!I do not use the convection setting, the fan should not be burning the tops of my food. This supposed attempt at LG repairing their defective appliance has been going on (this time) since November 2020. As soon as I can afford it, I’m buying a new range and rolling this one down the driveway for the garbage man. People, stay away from LG’s electric ranges, especially this model.Original Review: My LG electric range is only about 18 months old and I really think I wasted my money. I’ve cleaned it a few times a year and all it does is blow all of the dirty stuff onto the door and I always have a layer of black burnt on mess that I have to soak off. The gasket around the door is severely stained from the black gunk that just gets baked on as the oven cleans. I called LG about a year ago and they argued with me and told me to clean the gasket myself when the owner’s manual states not to. When I told the person which page to go to in the manual, they put me on hold forever. When they came back they said they would send out a new gasket that I could install myself. The gasket has yet to arrive, and the promised call-back from a supervisor never happened.Today, I cleaned my oven again and, yep, I’m soaking of the black layer with baking soda and water, the gasket is even more stained now. The oven fan seems to run non-stop, as if it is on convection not regular bake. I’m so disappointed and embarrassed that I proudly announced that I had just bought an LG range in the beginning. How can companies keep their business with such an inadequate level of customer service and defective products? I guess I’ll just be one of the crowd that I didn’t know existed until I searched for possible answers to this defective range’s issues. Never, never, never, again, LG! Keep your junk. My $1000 Whirlpool Gold could run laps around this piece of garbage, I wish I’d never replaced it.

LG Washer WT5001C - This washer was recommended by Home Depot. I had no idea it was a Korean made machine. I was told it was a GE brand that had great reviews. Shame on me for not checking. Luckily I purchased the 4 year extended warranty. It is by far the WORST machine I have ever had. I have had repeated service because it is never in balance and ALWAYS take over 90 minutes to do a simple load. I have been told, I put too few items in the machine. Next service call told I put too many clothes in the machine, next service call I was told I didnt know how to load a machine. Seriously I have been washing clothes for over 35 years! Finally a good local service company was assigned to come out and they replaced the Core control board and the Display board. NO CHANGE. Finally called again for warranty service only to find out there is a major part recall on many of the models so if you havent checked you might want to. Of course finding someone authorized by LG to come out is the next joke. Their service departments are as bad as their washers. This is simply a poorly built product that should be totally recalled and no longer sold. Major retailers should be ashamed selling this to consumers. There is no doubt I will be donating this machine as soon as I get close to the expiration of the extended warranty. I would gladly participate in a class action against this company.

2 yr old LG French door LMX31985ST/0. Repaired at 16 months (defrost grill in freezer) $300. Repaired at 28 months 4x still not working (1/4/16 to today 2/12/16) error code F ds. LGs response to us was reset the fridge using the breaker from the electrical service box). We did and have had to do for 6 weeks. Repair company replaced at our expense: freezer defrost sensor $175 parts/labor. Main board parts and labor $175. Sensor for fridge $300 parts and labor. So after paying $950 in repairs over the course of 1 year and 1 month the fridge today was dripping water on the floor from the ice maker which we find is NOT WORKING now. No error code even on the fridge!! The fridge is not cooling, the ice maker is not working, and the freezer has thawed everything overnight (so the defrost is stuck on??) So 4 repairs and it is still not working, in fact it is ON but NOT WORKING! LG will do NOTHING like this has never happened before??? So after spending $950 for repairs and $3300 for the fridge in (Oct 2013) we have a piece of junk!

Soooo got back from deployment and this $2500 paperweight had tripped the circuit breaker! That issue started within about 2 years after purchase. Its now been 3 years. They put in a new compressor which obviously solved nothing and refuse to repair the issue. If a fridge cant run by simply plugging it in, its useless! Worst. Dishwasher. Ever. The tines collapse. The tines are too short and spaced poorly so the plates flop over and dont get clean. Dishes chip. The dishwasher rack derails because the rack is a little too narrow and the rollers arent wide enough to stay on the rail. It derails constantly. Then I have to try to lug a heavy rack back onto the rails and then it derails in the other direction. Detergent door doesnt click into place. Dishes often do not get clean. Purple plastic pieces holding the adjustable tines pop off and rows of tines fall into the dishwasher bottom. The pump has failed 4 or 5 times in 3 years, either blocked or defective. I made repeated, polite complaints to the company when problems persisted past the warranty period. LG DOESNT BACK THEIR PRODUCT! I paid $899 and Im replacing it with a Bosch that costs half of that. I hate this dishwasher! No, I really hate this dishwasher! (It gets one star because I cant give it negative 5 stars.)

Updated on 09/09/2021: Earlier this week, I submitted a review about my 2015 LG electric dryer. Today, after 25 minutes of trying screw extractors and the rubber band trick, an LG approved appliance repairman was able remove the front panel to determine the cause of non-heating heat element. Turns out that that there was an electric wire fire near back left side of dryer. A green wire which allows power to the heating element melted, sparked, and melted part of the neutral white wire next to it and there is black soot on the dryer lid. This could have burned down my home with my family in it! Now, have to have an electrician cut off the burnt part of the wire. But, this could happen again.Original Review: In 2015, I purchased a new washer front loading set, only to have to exchange the dryer for top loading model because front load models silicone collar would stink after each load even though I disinfected it after every load. The dryer has been great, but the heating element or thermostat died this August 2021. Worst of all, the dryer cannot be serviced because the factory installed door panel screws were over tightened. The screw heads cannot be drilled into to remove the screws to replace early expired parts. The dryer is now a nothing but a huge paper weight! Do not buy LG dryers. Contacting residential customer support almost impossible. I will be contacting the media should LG not make this right.

We purchased the top of the line LG refrigerator in 2015. It broke down with a HUGE $1250 compressor issue in June of 2020. There is a lawsuit on them for SHOTTY compressors. Our refrigerators model was in the lawsuit. LG **ed us for 6 months, telling us they would send out a technician to fix it. THEY NEVER DID. And then had the audacity to tell us they’d only give $800 in a depreciated value. THAT DOESNT FIX SAID REFRIGERATOR OR GET US A SAME MODEL DIFFERENT ONE. Even a 2015 would STILL be $1600. Purchased a set of Washer and Dryer from Home Depot. Just over the one-year warranty period, the dryer stopped heating. The service repairman was so rude I sent him away. I ordered a new heating unit online and fixed it myself and appears to be working ok now. The washer model #WT5101H top loading washer has never worked right since new. It continues to go out of balance when spinning and displays a UE error code. Then the washer will refill and swish clothes around for a while to redistribute the clothes and try to re-spin only to go out of balance again. It will do this a number of times and then just shut down. After doing some research, I found this machine was a part of a recall. I promptly called LG and got set up for a service person to come out and fix it. The fix was to replace the control circuit board. He replaced the circuit board and left only to find that the fix did not fix anything. It is still just as bad as ever. I called LG again and I ran a diagnostic on it with the phone and they said the circuit board is now just fine and their obligation of repair under the recall is completed but there is another problem with the machine. I would have to call for another service repairman to come out to fix it. My questions are this to LG appliance: 1) How can they possibly call this machine energy star qualified after running through so many spin cycles? Surely this is wasting a lot more energy than it could possibly be saving. 2) All this refilling and spinning is undoubtedly overburdening my septic drain field and wasting so much water that it is unbelievable. 3) With all the problems with these machines particularly with the spin cycle, it would seem to me that LG has a responsibility to provide a fix that works after all this machine cost over a $1K and it doesnt work and has never worked properly. I think my only recourse is to contact my attorney and see what legal remedies are available. Perhaps a class action lawsuit by all could convince LG to make the necessary repairs to make the machines to work right!! The only reason they get one star is that there is nothing lower! You could not get me to run fast enough away from LG appliances or any LG products in the future.

In 2013 I purchased a set of LG large capacity washer and dryer. I was excited when I got my new machines. At first I was amazed, as it did not seem my clothes had been washed so clean and dried so efficiently in years, compared to my old washer and dryer. After a few months, it seemed the washer would stop itself more and more often, with a UE flashing on the screen and required opening the machine and rearrange heavy wet clothing until it would spin through. About that time I received a notice of a recall that affected my machine. I called the recall hotline number and a technician was sent to replace the faulty parts. This solved the problem with balance and wash cycle, but left the washer with few choices for temperature. You have the choice of warm/warm, regardless of the setting other than tap cold. Cold/cold runs warm/warm. At least the machine was operating and cleaning the clothes. I was told it may happen again and that, if it did, to keep the number for the recall hotline. I have always made a special point of taking large blankets or anything other than regular clothing or bedding/towels, to a public laundry.Recently, once again, the machine has been throwing the clothing to the side and refusing to complete the load without the struggle of reaching in and rearranging the load, reading unbalanced several times before the load would finish. The last load I did was two regular bed sheets and a few wash clothes and it stopped twice before completed the cycle.I called the recall hotline from my paperwork and a tech was sent to our home, today. I was at work, so my husband greeted the repair technician. After trying the machine on its cycle, running on empty, he called me at work to tell me it tested normal. I assured him it was far from normal. The technician proceeded to tell me it is very important with this delicate machine, to only wash light loads of the same clothing, such as sheets only, towels only, light cotton with like size and fabric and jeans or heavier clothing, with only a few at a time and no other clothing. He stated he wanted to run a load of laundry to test the machine. My husband started putting clothes into the washer when the technician stopped him and told him to select only a few items of like size and fabric. The technician ran the load and called to inform me the machine had no problems and he was closing the ticket on the repair. I told the repairman to go home and ask his wife if she would be satisfied to do her laundry under the specifications he was informing me, this delicate machine (large capacity, supposed high power) requires. All of this to say, LG does not stand behind their product, the parts are sub quality and the massive recall on this machine only served to put a band-aid on a major problem. The machines should have been replaced and the customer should have been satisfied, instead of spending $850 on a machine that has lasted a total of 3 years. Do not buy LG, unless you have money to burn.

Totally unacceptable! I will NEVER purchase another LG product again as they are not supported by the company once you get them in your home. I purchased a new LG TrueBalance washer. I hate it. Example: I just tried to do a short wash with two pairs of slacks, a mens shirt, and a tee-top. After 1 hour of having the washer stop due to off balance signal 5 times, repositioning contents each time, and restarting cycle and still not getting any further along -- I pulled the clothes out and am now trying to get the washer to finish cycle empty. This was not a unique experience. Unless I jam the washer full so that nothing can virtually move -- it takes me an entire day (at minimum 12 hours) to do 6 loads of clothes. I would never ever again purchase a washer without a center agitator, the ability to fill washer and leave for overnight soaking (which I cant now), and get rid of all of this computer bologna! UPDATE: The off balance signal just went off again with the washer empty! If you are shopping for a washer -- do not get blinded by all the new/many bells and whistles.

The 1st service was replacing the sensor, 2nd was motherboard and next appt. will be all circuits/fuses on top of the washer which needs replaced from a continuous leak for long time that has caused rust and the serviceman was shocked when touched the unit. I have missed work for each visit, which thought would take care of the problem and be able to use the washer, month plus later.. Im still waiting for this unit to be fixed. LG is a name brand and it should be out of service this long without getting the washer replaced. I can understand if it were couple years old but this unit is barely over a year old. With all these problems this washer was a lemon from the get go and has never worked properly. When I purchased my first BRAND new washer, I did research and bought top of the line or so I thought I did. This has been huge disappointment and LG service center has been disappointment as well. This should have been replaced with a new one. As a single mother and live from pay to pay, this was a big purchase for me. I have 2 kids and laundry mat is the last place I wish to be spending my time and money considered my washer purchase was over 600 and only year old!!! Time and money and loss work time is VERY FRUSTRATING AND UPSETTING! I wish to buy the matching dryer but now Im considering different brand! LG make this right or I spread the word all over the internet media. VERY POOR RATING!!!UPDATE... 2 months later still broke. Will not replace or respond to my 20+ emails to resolutions@lge.com; lg.care@lge.com and website chat was absolutely worthless conversation and would not help me at all! Basically they are live chat with no phone or contact w/lg outside of chat room. So, not sure of their purpose??? ANYWAYS... LG does not care about the consumer. They will not reply! SMH!

We purchased a refrigerator from a chain, product arrived to our home in good shape. While install, installers dropped door and smashed ice maker. Had to take fridge back and it took two months to receive new fridge. When new one arrived they had to take doors off. Upon reinstalling the doors the door with ice in it, it was uneven with other door. When we asked about this they said that once ice was in door it would settle. It didn’t. We called store. They said we had to contact manufacturer. We called them and waited to receive a callback. Never received call. We called back and LG told us they would have installers back out to fix refrigerator. Company never showed. Called LG again and never received a callback again. We called back again and was told that company no longer does work for them. They told us that they would send someone else out, never showed. We call but it takes a while to receive calls back. We are now told that it has been too long and we would need to pay someone to come out and fix it. It has never been right since purchase and we can not get the store or the manufacturer to make this right. We continue to just get promises until it has been too long for any help.

Purchased the complete LG black stainless kitchen set up for our newly cons
Purchased the complete LG black stainless kitchen set up for our newly constructed home. Appliances were purchased at Sears and delivered by them to our new home. Microwave was badly damaged off the truck so it was reordered (Sears fault). Dishwasher, Refrigerator, and Double oven were not damaged as we examined the boxes for exterior crushing or creases. The dishwasher leaked like a sieve the first time we used it!! My husband checked to make sure all hoses were attached properly and all fittings were tight. We could not use the dishwasher at all as it leaked so badly it was ruining our new flooring and leaking into our basement.I took a video as we pulled out the unit and ran it and it was obvious that the leak was coming from the back of the unit. LG repair came over and determined that it was damaged at delivery! I still had the box. No damage to the unit during delivery. LG refused after months and months and pic after pic sent to their US offices and their South Korean offices. This unit was dropped and creased across the back during manufacturing and they kept telling me that it was Sears fault. I could not, in good conscience, blame Sears as I had personally examined the box when it arrived at our home. After 10 mos. of arguing with LG, I went to the local Sears store where we had purchased not just the 4 LG appliances, but a beer fridge, for the basement and a freezer for the basement as well totaling more than $11,000 in one purchase. We had also purchased appliances from them in the past. The new store manager, upon hearing my story from the saleswoman from whom we purchased our appliance, made it right. I told him that I never relented on the story that it was not Sears fault but a manufacturers defect. He appreciated my honesty with LG and replaced the dishwasher.Moving on now to the microwave. After finally receiving the new microwave 3 months after the other appliances were delivered. It was only 5 mos. before the digital display started acting wacky. Then the microwave worked intermittently. Again, I called LG. They assured me that they do not have manufacturing defects as their quality control is above reproach. I said, Great sent me a repairman as it is under warranty. Scott, from LG, ordered a new door which contained all the inner workings of the unit but it was the wrong color. He reordered, came by and replaced it only to find it didnt work either as a week later it was acting like the door he just replaced. Finally Scott was able to get the right door and it works. That process took 2 months.Just before Thanksgiving, 2017, we noticed just under the handle of our new refrigerator, the paint was peeling off of the black stainless finish. It is not an area of the door that we touch regularly or even at all except to wipe down. After the holiday, I sucked it up and called LG once again. LG in South Korea told us the warranty was up on the refrigerator and there was nothing they could do. I told her to take a look at the history on our previous appliance issues and that it may be time for us to possibly file suit with the company as now its 3 out of 4 of their garbage products that have caused us no end of grief and that Sears has documentation and I have pictures and other paperwork accumulated over the year from hell since we made the purchase of their products. She put me on hold!Scott came into our lives once again and ordered a new door and installed as we decorated our Christmas tree! I thanked him and told him that our oven would probably go afoul soon and we may see him again. He answered questions I had about the knobs on the front of our LG stove that when bumped, turn on without you knowing and have emitted gas. My worry is that I will bump a knob and be on my way out rather than the 3 times it happened while we were home and smelled the gas fumes. Scott said there was some kind of kit we could get to prevent the problem. Why didnt LG tell us that at some point. I will order it as soon as I finish this post to assure the safety of our home and family. Please do not purchase appliances from LG! They are dishonest in their dealings and lied to us over and over and I have it documented. Some of their local repair affiliates are hand in hand with them and lie for them without doing their work. They walk in and determine it was someone elses fault and tell you to go after them. Sears in North Olmsted, OH made the situation with the dishwasher they sold us right. I cannot thank them enough. Sears has a contract with LG and other manufacturers that says that Sears repair may not touch LG products that are under warranty. They are not allowed to look at your appliance if it is under LGs warranty or the warranty becomes null and void. The consumer is at the mercy of the manufacturer as we were and the manufacturer, LG, is dishonest in their dealings.

I purchased a French door/double freezer drawer refrigerator in 2011 from Home Depot. I renovated my kitchen in white appliances and cabinets. The control panel/water dispenser, as well as the tops of the drawers and doors have turned a very noticeable yellow. They are made of plastic and no longer match the white of the refrigerator. My house is air conditioned with an automatic dehumidifier. Not that it should matter but I cannot think of any reason this should happen except the parts were made from an inferior plastic. Its made my new expensive refrigerator look old and has ruined my all white kitchen. The ice dispenser is always clogged and difficult to get ice from. My main problem is the look of my refrigerator in my kitchen. I called LG customer service and of course they said its not covered under warranty and there was nothing they would do.

I have had nothing but trouble with my LG fridge (model LFC2525765ST). Ive had the same problem over and over since purchasing it in 2011. Well sort of, it started off with a blown bulb in the fridge. Then...well. They come out, fix it, then something else. The temperature keeps dropping and I keep losing my food. LG will not replace the fridge and I keep losing food. Their $250.00 check does not replace all that I have lost or what I have to spend on take-out while they diagnose the same problem again and again and then have to wait for them to order new parts, then set up a new date to come in and fix it. What is my relief when this company comes in to (seemingly) rebuild my fridge? Shouldnt they have to replace it when they have to keep repairing a 3-year-old fridge? I have a warranty and believe me, Ive needed it practically every year Ive had it. Somebody please help me with this, Im tired of losing my food. Im tired of wondering if I will have something to eat when I open the fridge door. With this current incident, its been going on since the beginning of January 2015. And the problem still hasnt been resolved. They put in a new part and the repair charge (not to me) was $335.32. It started working then it stopped and that weekend, so called the company again but cancelled because it started working again. A repairman called me and said give it 24 to 48 hrs to regulate itself (this was a Monday, I called on that Friday before but cancelled on I believe that Sunday). Then it happened again on a Thursday (Thursday seems to be the day of breakdowns). I called for repair service on Friday and as usual, had to wait until Monday for service to be set up. They always end the call with,We are here for you 24/7, but how? Since they cant do anything on a weekend. And I was told they would put in an emergency call for me. I expected someone to come on Monday but no, they called to set up an appointment on Monday. So had to wait again. Who knows what the next part will cost that is coming in on 2/16/15. Oh yeah, this is the same problem from January. This is the third time Ive had to shop, but I buy a little at a time now because I lost all my food from the last two shopping trips thinking the problem had been resolved (silly me). I had already sent in a food loss form. Dont think Ill be reimbursed for the last two mistakes I made buying food. I asked for another food loss form but still waiting. And Im waiting to hear about the one I already turned in. Wow... Oh, by the way, the first time they delivered my fridge, they had to take it back and bring another one because it was defective. Should have taken a hint then. It was purchased from HHGregg BRANDYWINE PKWY 19803 on 11/08/2011.

On 10/2008, I purchased an LG LRE30453ST/01 ceramic glass top electric rang
On 10/2008, I purchased an LG LRE30453ST/01 ceramic glass top electric range from Home Depot. On 7/2009, my husband instructed my oldest son to turn on the stove in preparation of us being 5 minutes away. He placed a pot on the stove on the largest eye and set the stove for 3.5 with a little grease inside the pan. My son said that as soon as he did what was instructed and sat down on the couch when he noticed immediate smoke coming from the pot. He looked inside the pan and noticed a ring of fire inside the pan that began to escalate fairly quickly and evacuated himself and my youngest daughter out of the home for their protection. Within five minutes of giving him these instructions we received a call back from him stating that the kitchen was on fire. Fire department came but the fire self-extinguished itself before they were able to take action. The fire caused 8k worth of damage with us paying a 1K deductible. It damaged the cabinets above the stove, the microwave above the stone, and the stove itself which sustained the most damage. The pot was actually not destroyed, but the stove was. The insurance company had no clue how this escalated so quickly so therefore the pot had masked the true natural cause of the fire which was the stove itself. The stove was replaced with the exact same model stove in 2009 and in 4/2014, while I was cooking on the largest eye once again with a cast iron skillet, the bottom of the skillet began to smoke from underneath set with a temperature of 3.5. I noticed the extreme heat coming from the largest eye and attempted to turn it off with no response from the stove to reduce the heat even though the stove read H5 which means a warm status. The heat was so extreme that the other eyes started to read as H5 and they werent even on. The extreme heat from the largest eye also prompted the microwave vent to come on by itself. My kids and myself started to get nervous and tried to power down the stove by turning off the circuit breaker with no response so we had to unplug the stove from the wall. We waited about 5 minutes and attempted to replug the stove and the largest eye came on immediately, flashing red several times, sending out extreme heat so we decided to keep it unplugged. I called LG the next day to find out that a recall was issued in 2012 for my model number. I was completely taken back. The recall stated The burners on the electric ranges can fail to turn off after being switched off or the temperature setting can increase unexpectedly during use, posing burn and fire hazards to consumers. What else do you need? I asked why I was not notified and they said it was on TV and because I did not register the product, I didnt get notified by mail. Im a working professional mom of three, really! I cant believe they said that. They offered to repair the stove I currently have in my home and offered apologies for the fire in 2009. Is there no recourse or responsibility of the manufacturer for damages that occurred to homeowners before the recall. How can this be right. LG is claiming statute of limitations is 3 years but what about the fact that a recall was not issued until 2012. How was my insurance supposed to know that their product was defective when there was no recall in place. How is the consumer supposed to be protected in a case like this. Im not asking for the 8k that my insurance paid out but at least take responsibility for the deductible I had to pay for your fire hazardous product I placed in my home that nearly killed my kids. How can the statute of limitations be set for 3 years when the defect is not found until the recall is issued? PS: I have documentation of everything.

My husband and I bought this dishwasher last May 2015 NEW with the fridge and stove. This dishwasher is probably the worst dishwasher ever!! Its the model with the 3rd rack, sounds convenient right? Wrong!!! It sucks, yes I can put knives and silverware on the top row but it leaves very little space for your glasses. So any glass taller than 6 inches does not fit!! Which means they have to take up space on the bottom rack or Im forced to hand wash! Now the bottom row... The lines that are suppose to hold the dishes do not stay standing up. The silverware basket is in three sections that is suppose to lock to together, it falls apart if you just put a fork in it. The large bottom rolling basket is constantly coming off the tracks! It takes 2 1/2 hours to run a normal load and an hour to run a quick load. The quick load does do a good job and usually have to rewash items. I hate this dishwasher and the only place it belongs is in the trash dump! WARNING DO NOT BUY IT!!!

I bought an LG 18 months ago when we moved to Dallas. Whatever I try adjusting the feet (no easy task, let me tell you), making sure the machine is stable by pushing the dryer up against it, wedging it against the sink, or adjusting and re-adjusting the load (because the machine stops and tells you to), it doesnt work. I had a Maytag for 13 years with not an ounce of bother, but this machine has been a headache. I usually have to wash the clothes twice because it doesnt spin well; not only due to the balance error message on the front panel, but also because it just doesnt spin fast or very hard the way the Maytag did. Sears have sent technicians out, time and again, but who wants to spend half the day waiting at home for a service call? Not me. Isnt that defeating the objective of a world that wants less time spent in the laundry room? Im going to suffer through the rest of its years and feeling annoyed at it. I will then replace it with my favorite: a Maytag. Sigh. Now, Im about to go reset it so that it will attempt a spin cycle with my quilt, but I know that bed cover will come out of the machine too wet for my liking, and Ill have to put it out in the sun for some time before I can even attempt to dry it. Dont buy LG.

We were building a new house and when we were asking around for recommendations on refrigerators, LG was the brand people were recommending. We did have a washer and dryer that was LG, and we had a good experience with those. The refrigerator came with a counter depth feature. We had an awkward space we had to fit it into and I liked that it fit there and I havent had to worry about it. I had to make two warranty claims and both times, it was pretty easy to go through that process. I appreciated the service people that came and worked on the appliances cause they were professional and did a good job. I also didnt have to wait a super long time for somebody to come and help out. I would recommend LG.

LG dishwasher stopped working after 6 weeks-refusing to replace. Purchased
LG dishwasher stopped working after 6 weeks-refusing to replace. Purchased dishwasher 7/1/21, delivered 8/10/21. Started leaking at top of door end of October. LG authorized service center made 3 visits between beginning of November and beginning of December. The unit was pulled out and re installed with each visit. Door gasket changed, door lock latch replaced. Unit then developed leak from bottom of door and AE leak code that makes unit beep until power is hit off at the electrical panel. LG then sent out their regional “expert.” He determined a crack in the door panel liner. He also scratched up the control panel during his repairs. He stated that when he finally got a new door liner, that 3 others had been sent to him with damage. They also sent the wrong control panel replacement. The tech, named Jude, called LG with me standing next to him and told them unit continues to leak and is unrepairable. He did a live video with the LG techs showing them the leak and another crack he found in the door. After many emails, texts, phone calls, LG is refusing to refund/replace saying damage was due to incorrect installation of unit. This determination was made after 6 service visits in which the dishwasher was taken in and out each time by an LG authorized service person. It was never noted or mentioned to me the consumer that there was an install issue at any of these service appointments. Nor did their expert say that to LG when he spoke to them In front of me. If it was truly damage caused by installation why did LG pay for 6 service calls? Wouldn’t that have been noted after the first visit ? I now have a new piece of junk that worked for 6 weeks and had been non functional since 10/30, when I made the call for service. LG has offered me 20% off a new dishwasher. Why would I buy another LG product after this experience? The least they could do is provide me a replacement unit if they won’t give a refund.

LG Refrigerators have a known problem with their compressors and they die within three years. Although the product is still under warranty, it takes weeks to get parts and still the fridge doesnt work. Their customer service is horrible and they state they wont replace a unit unless theyve come out four times. There is a pending class action suit against the company and the company should recall these products and refund the consumers money. Save yourself the aggravation and buy another product. We purchased an LG Tromm Washer in 2005. Shortly after purchasing, we noticed a moldy smell in clothes and on towels. The whites get marks on them as well. As I cleaned around inside, I noticed (over time) a nasty, moldy, slime buildup inside of gasket and output valve would drain nasty sewer water. I have very 3 sensitive children that have allergies and I have asthma as well. This is harming, not helping out health! Also, the detergent dispenser drawer somehow gets stuck a number of times. In order to release it, you have to slide washer away from wall, unscrew the top and pivot it up and slide until you view the drawer then release it. I called customer service and they blame me, telling me I am not cleaning it well enough or just change the subject or ignore completely!

We purchased a top load True Balance model WT4870CW early July 2013. No need for repair just yet but I cannot imagine we will remain unscathed. Countless UE warnings and subsequent UE shutdowns despite manually redistributing load and sorting by evenly weighed items. Water hammer on our plumbing from rapid cycle solenoid function when not experiencing uneven load. We will continue to hope for best while querying the web for updates and solutions (yeah... sure). Its crazy to hope for and experience elation just because the machine occasionally runs back to back loads trouble free. Our Whirlpool washing machine which this LG replaced gave us 19 years trouble free.

I am not stupid to pay LG to fix 6 yrs old washer where I can easily replace something for little more money and if I add few more dollars I should be able to buy latest technology washer. Update on 06/11/2020: It is now June 11th and there still is no resolve even though my original review states there is a resolution in process. It is true that LG reached out to me as shown below however, I responded to them and I have heard nothing back. As far as Im concerned, this reaching out with a form e-mail is just more of the same. If I could give LG zero stars I would.Original Review: I have a top of the line washer that is still under warranty that will not run. I called LG on 5/30 and it was determined by them someone needed to come to my home. I was assigned to a second rate authorized agent that operates out of his home. I called this agent on 6/2 because I never heard from them during the 24-48 business hour time frame. (It was at this point that I did some research on who they were and found bad reviews for them.) To make a very long story short I was promised on 6/2 that a reputable company I found would be assigned to me and it would be 24-48 hours before Id hear. I found this company on LGs website as an authorized service agent and when I called them directly, they informed me they were available to come out the next day if LG would assign it to them. As I said, LG promised this would be done. When I heard nothing, I called them once again on 6/4. I spoke with a very nice rep (her name was Jess) who transferred me to executive services and I was told by that lady that the company I requested had no availability. I informed her that I had been told they would be able to come out the following day if LG would assign it to them and this is what was supposed to be being done. When I asked her to hold for a minute, I placed a call to the company I requested and as I began leaving a message as to what I had been told by LG, the LG executive services lady hung up on me. She was able to hear me leaving this message as I was using a separate phone line. So, this morning I called the authorized agent and told them what I had been told (that they had no availability) and I was told that simply was not true. So, I called LG back and this time I was told by the authorized agent I spoke with didnt have an open contract with them and they couldnt be assigned to me. Finally, the truth! In other words, they didnt have a negotiated rate with LG, much like it is with HMO Insurance. At any rate, he contacted the authorized to see if they would agree to make my repair with just an order # and they agreed they would, however, LG has to send them the amount they are willing to pay and if the authorized agent agrees to it they will do the repair and if not, we are back to square one. So, they have till Monday (6/8) to get back with me however, they will only be contacting me if its a go. If not, I have to call them back and start all over. I have a feeling I will be calling them back to start at square one. LIFE certainly isnt GOOD! I purchased this machine based on Consumer Reports testing and we were just about to buy an LG Smart TV and soundbar because they also have a very high rating. But there is no way we are going to based solely on the fact that they have horrible customer service!

I bought an LG Refrigerator #LFC25770 in November 2008. I paid over $1,500.00 for the French door style with bottom drawer freezer. The compressor keeps coming on and then clicks right off. The freezer thawed and the refrigerator no longer cooled. After doing research online, find that the cause might be the starter relay. I tried to order the part and it is no longer available. You now have to replace the relay, thermostat and compressor; should have been a warning that LG has had this issue before. I called LG customer service since the sealed system was still under warranty for parts. They gave me several contacts that did the warranty service for them. However, no one comes out to my location. I called LG back and they gave me several more names. I called all and once again either they dont service LG or they dont come to my area. Again, I called LG who gave me more names and numbers. Did I mention the time I was wasting and the cost of long distance calls? I was told it was my problem since nobody would come out. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was hung up on. I called back and asked for a supervisor and was transferred and explained the issues with LG and he said he would make the calls and try to find someone. To say I am not happy with LG would be putting it mildly. The products and the service suck.

I spoke with LG customer service, and they gave me a local repair center. They came out and said it was either the control board or a bad valve. He said he would order both parts and just replace both parts. I was notified today that the valve is on back order until Nov 29th! Unacceptable! This washer is only 2 months old, and now they are telling me I cannot get my part for another month? I told them I want a replacement or the part in the next day. They said sorry. I will never ever, ever buy an LG product again! My clothes do not get clean and the washer was defective since day one! I have filed a complaint with the BBB and want to get the word out to people to never buy an LG product. They do not stand behind their product!

We had a terrible experience from start to end. Took a month to fix the refrigerator/freezer. LG did not follow through several times during the process. Life is Good for LG. Not it’s customers. Put in a food loss claim over a month ago, still waiting for the check.

Purchased an LG LMV1813ST/02 microwave on 26 June 2013 for about $250. This over the stove model stopped heating on 9 Nov 2015. The warranty was 1 year, except magnetron that was 10 years. Contacted LG and went through steps to restart MV. Was then told it needed a tech to repair it. I was given two local authorized LG shops. One did not work on microwaves, and the other wanted a bench charge of $95 plus parts and labor to fix it even though I dismounted it and brought it to their facility! It is almost cheaper to buy another microwave. I equipped my home with all LG products. I hope they did a better job on the washer, dryer, dishwasher, and stove. I am sorry I went with LG.

This is a 5 months old washer. Its been noisy since week one. Lowes installers couldnt completely fix it. Lately, it is been excessively noisy and vibrating during its spinning, even at low speeds. LG support is very nice at talking. However, they dont actually send any information.

Wish I could leave a rating of zero stars as a more accurate rating. LG Refrigerator model LFX25974ST /04 less than one year old under full warranty compressor failed. Informed item was on back order and will not receive for 3+ weeks. We have already waited for one week for service. Numerous calls to customer service has done nothing but bring frustration and hours of wasted time. Horrible product and horrific customer service. A month without a refrigerator and hundreds of dollars in spoiled food. A family of four with two small children cannot be without a functioning refrigerator. We will never purchase another LG product, EVER.

If you purchase this piece of trash, count on its breaking down in less than five years - as ours did. And good luck getting warranty service, much less emergency service. One other suggestion: be certain to ensure your freezer food. This company should be shut down.

Bought this stove to replace another LG range model that had a recall on for burners that would not turn off but LG refused to do anything. With hesitation I decided to buy another LG range because it matched my other appliances and 11 months later I am again without a functioning stove. The motherboard has to be replaced as the right burners will not turn on unless you turn on the left burners in addition to the oven not turning off sporadically. While they have agreed to replace the part, I have no guarantee beyond that. Having paid $1800 to replace my previous range in addition to a LG tv in the last year, I have lost all confidence in the LG brand and will ensure to share my experiences both with the products and lack of empathy by the customer service employees. Customers do not want to hear that appliances break down and other responses like how would me putting myself in your shoes right now help you? or when commenting about the condition of my previous White Westinghouse range reliability making statements such as you replaced it for a reason though didnt you? The reason at the time was purely updating my kitchen. While LG products are aesthetically pleasing, they are simply unreliable and a safety concern.

I purchased my front load LG washer in 2013. I have to clean it constantly because it smells like mold all the time. Half the time I’m not sure if my clothes are actually being washed. But this last issue was just the icing on the cake. I put in a load of towels, walked out on my porch to put my dogs out and my roommate came home to find water all over my front stoop, all over the laundry room floor, the bathroom, the hallway and the two bedrooms on the hallway. It was at least 20 to 30 gallons of water all over. LG had the audacity to tell me I could pay for a tech to come out and diagnose the problem and then I could pay for them to fix it. I have about $20,000 in damage I have to take care of. I’m not paying for their machines mechanical breakdown too. So then they said if I send them my original receipt they will open a case and see if they can send me a tech out to repair my machine but they can’t help me with the damage it has caused. Something in this machine is defective and now I have to pay for it. I would never buy anything from LG again and would not recommend anyone purchasing from them either.

I have gotten very little usage from this LG dishwasher since I purchased it a few years ago. It has been one problem after another. I had not used it for approximately 8 months. When I DID try to use it, it gave me the oe code (Again). When the repairman came out, it was clogged up, he really DID not believe that I had not been using the dishwasher. Also, now the rubber and the sides that should be welded down is now coming loose. It cannot be repaired!!!!

HATE this machine. I have never done a load of wash where the error light didnt come on for unbalanced load. It even comes on when doing the tub cleaning with no clothing in the tub. To get a load done it takes hours cause when I go to check the error is light up, so rearrange, start again.......This happens two to three times. Ive tried loading the wash around the edges, in the middle, etc. NO luck. Wish I never purchased this machine. I feel Im stuck now cause it wasnt cheap.

I just saw a lot of my relatives and friends own an LG refrigerator so I decided I might as well get one too. Its more because its popular and my local store had one on sale that I found very appealing. I really enjoy how slick and modern the design appears. Modern design is what I can really appreciate especially since it saves energy. But I realized that it comes with a lot of technology features that I really enjoy and find tremendously helpful. Honestly there is nothing I donit like about this refrigerator, very cool and very efficient at what it does, its technology is top-notch with a touch screen and the ability to save power, theres no reason not to love it.

Purchased an LG fridge model LFX29945ST from our local Home Depot. Weve had this fridge for almost 2 yrs now but we have had a number of issues after the first year of owning this POS. First issue is the annoying high pitch noise that comes from the compressor at times. Called Tech support and was told that our Fridge was not leveled and was most likely the cause of the issue. Our fridge is perfectly leveled and our house is only 2 yrs old with a perfectly leveled floor. Second issue is the lower freezer door will not close all the way at times due to ice building up on the tracks for the Freezer Door not allowing the door to seal the Freezer completely. I occasionally have to chip the ice away so the freezer door will close all the way so our food does not thaw out in the freezer. The last and final issue that weve had with this fridge, is at the bottom of the control panel next to the water and ice dispenser one day just started discoloring and peeling and now our fridge looks worse than our previous fridge that was 6 yrs old. I expected better quality for the price and wish I never bought this Fridge at all. DO NOT BUY!!

The 10 year warranty LG highlights on their compressor is misleading. We spent $2300 on an LG French door refrigerator in late November 2015, it stopped cooling in February 2018 (26 months). Two techs found the compressor failed. While the part is covered, the $600-$800 in labor is not. After reading other nightmares, we opted to buy a new fridge (NOT an LG) and contact an attorney. I would not recommend LG refrigerators nor will I ever buy an LG product again.

Refrigerator started making horrible noise on July 3, 2016. Model LMX25964 purchased Nov. 22, 2010. Woke up July 4 no ice and all freezer contents thawing out. Could not call for any help until Tuesday July 5, technician came out on July 7 to tell me my French doors refrigerator had a seal system problem was under warranty and he was not an LG-certified technician. By the way while checking out the refrigerator he did tell me the LG is one of the worst refrigerators, all plastic and lots of mechanical problems, that is why he would not become an authorized LG technician.Called LG, got someone I could not even understand, finally got a certified technician phone number called and he comes tomorrow, he will probably need to order parts so thats more to time. Customer service stinks as well as the refrigerator. I will never ever buy an LG item again. I did lose all my food, around 250.00 and the company acted like I was out of my mind for asking. The supervisor said our warranty ran out after 12 months. I advised her that the problem that caused my problem was under warranty and she flat out said, We do not reimburse. I hate them.

Ive cleaned houses for 14 years and use a lot of different appliances, vacuums, cleaning equipment and supplies. This particular microwave has broken twice. I spray the outside very lightly to clean the stainless and wipe down to a shine. The moisture somehow gets into the panel on the bottom of the oven and it stops working. So frustrating! Not a good design. LG MODEL NUMBER LMVM2055ST.

Model: LMV1680DW. Dont buy LG - just dont do it.... You WILL regret it. I know, every company has failures, and you can find a person who hates any company. But, LG is horrid. This is the second microwave from them that failed with the same problem - in the original warranty period! After months of fighting with them, they finally replaced the original unit, and now the new one is dead! Called them up and they start giving excuses for not replacing the second one. I will buy a new microwave - I just dont have the energy to fight them anymore and even if I win, cant go another 3 months without a microwave...It doesnt matter how cheap LG are, there is a reason they are cheap... Dont fool your self - youll spend less if pay more.

The knobs are not safe just brushing against them just as other reviewers have said and you have gas leaking into your home-no safety lock position. The oven warms up to 500 degrees no matter where you set the temperature, I have burnt everything I put into this oven as I cannot calibrate to get a correct 350 degree which is at where most baking is done! There must be some website or news outlet to alert the public of this piece of junk produced by LG. Will not be buying nor recommending any product made by LG. I will be putting this on our Nextdoor website as there are lots of homes here in upper $$ that are buying and replacing appliances in their homes!

We purchased the fridge in 2012 because of the design, and we paid a lot for this fridge. It stopped working on June 10. After spending hours on the phone with LG customer service rep and have them diagnose our fridge via phone, I was given 3 phone numbers. I called these numbers and was told that the compressor is under warranty but I have to pay $499 for cost to install and tax on the compressor. We will never buy anything LG again!
