In my opinion, LG is a brand that incline as far as technology. I trust them to use the most up to date equipment when putting their products together. But in my opinion the initial cost of the refrigerator was a bit pricey. Over 700 dollars was a bit out of my price range for what came with the product. There was no ice machine. And the space made for the freezer was considerably small for the price. To me it should have at least came with a ice maker. Even though a bit pricey, I am overall satisfied with my purchase. My last refrigerator was a complete joy. It worked extremely well and never gave me any electrical issues. All food stored were kept at the proper temperature and never spoiled. I would definitely recommend.

To: The Manufacturers of Over-The-Range Microwaves. PLEASE, downsize. They keep getting bigger and bigger and bigger, to the point where I have to replace my beautiful expensive cabinets in order to accommodate the darn microwave. And from what Ive read on the internet, I am not the only one. It definitely looks like there is market for them that is NOT being fulfilled. Can one of the manufacturers please step up to the plate on this? Why is it that I can find a counter top microwave that is only 10-14 high, but when I look for an OTR its 16 and up.

We got our LG refrigerator at Costco two years ago. Then we started having problems with our ice maker. We called it in and LG sent somebody out here to replace it about three times already. They have replaced everything that they could possibly replace for the ice maker and its still not making ice. Its inconvenient for us. But the technicians have been good and theyve helped us with all the questions weve had.

We purchased an LG refrigerator with ice maker about 4 years ago. We have had several issues with this unit because the ice maker would continually overfill and flood the back of the unit. We have had numerous issues with flooding and ice all over the floor and with the unit not keeping food cold enough. We contacted LG for service, only to realize that it would take two weeks to install a new compressor and worrying if that would hold. I had just purchased food from BJs and lost over $200.00 in food. Not willing to re-experience this again, we ran out to Lowes and purchased a Samsung refrigerator which will be delivered tomorrow. I will never buy another LG product again. Made in Korea, and you must wait to replace parts.

This refrigerator is made with weak plastic parts and cheap plastic mechanisms that crack and break after a few months, including the hinge mechanism for the door. I spend over $100 on replacement parts; one of the spare parts that I got in the mail was defective. I have never ever owned a refrigerator that required repair work for the shelves and drawers or any other component. Do not buy LG refrigerator. They are poorly designed and are costly to repair. Additionally, this refrigerator does not hold the temperature well and is not good for storing meat, especially chicken or fish.

Another 3 years to the day just shut down, stopped cooling!! We had the extended warranty. 5 days to get a repairman...was told it was compressor. They would submit for a claim. Work was denied by warranty, too expensive. So they tried to get a local repairman and he said he does not work on LG refrigerators. They are not fixable, SOOO we are out 3,600 for a 3-year-old fridge. Oh warranty wanted money upfront to order part from Korea that would take weeks!!! No LG, never again!!!

I just purchased a new LG dishwasher. It stopped working within 30 days of operation. When trying to arrange for warranty repair, the techs are not showing up to fix it. The claim is that parts are on order, and when I call for a status update, customer service puts me on hold until the line auto disconnects. Avoid purchase of this brand.

I like the capacity of this particular refrigerator. Its a nice size with great features that I use all the time. I like the fact it has an ice maker. I like choosing different kinds of ice. It also has cold water that tastes like bottle. I love it and wouldnt change anything. I like LG in general. I think the brand is underrated and reasonably priced. Other brands were too expensive and didnt offer the same features.

I purchased 2 sets of LG appliances. Both of the dryers have sensor drying that has never worked properly. I have called people out who tell me it is the vents that need cleared. After having that done, it still takes hours, literally to dry things. Sometimes I just give up and hang things in my bathtub to dry. I do not recommend this brand. Model DLG3744W. I have a 3 year old washer and dryer, which is nothing but pure junk! Fortunately, I have the 5-year bumper to bumper warranty. I replaced the drum in the dryer 3 times (split twice), and they are coming again to try to correct the heating problem. It takes more than 90 minutes to dry a normal load. I too made the mistake of buying LG appliances. My dishwasher motor has seized. Never felt the dishwasher worked correctly. 1/2 time soaking wet and 1/2 time dry. The utensil basket pieces broken out on the bottom. The machine is very loud. Takes a ridiculous long cycle of two hours to wash dishes. My wash machine is also now acting up and I am getting frequent error signs. If you want appliances to last longer than 4 years look elsewhere. Foreign call center with little to no customer service.

I have an LG refrigerator (model LFX25974, less than 2 years old) that after 3 hours of diagnostics probably needs a new compressor. Working with the service representatives who are located in the Philippines is a nightmare. You cannot reply to any e-mails and so you never know if your problem has been totally solved. Mine was not for three weeks and then to find out the labor charge will probably be more than a new refrigerator. Please DO NOT BUY AN LG REFRIGERATOR. If you do, be sure to get the extended warranty because you will surely be needing it.

I registered a complaint at customer care (complaint number **) on 20-02-2012. As per the call center executive, somebody will call me within 24 hours and attend the problem within 72 hours. None of these happened even after 100 (one hundred) hours. I called customer care on 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 24th. Every time they said they will send a reminder. They gave me the contact number of service center in Alwaye and customer care officer. After trying for more than one hour (20-30 calls) both these numbers are not reachable/not answering.

From day one, our 1+ year old LG WF487OCW top loading washer has stopped mid cycle with the UE error message. The start cycle that assesses the load size is a joke. It fails most often when I try to do a delicate cycle with a small load. I might have to rearrange that load 2-3 times or more to complete a cycle. But it can happen with any size load. With my laundry in the basement, I can never assume that the load I put in is done. Very frustrating to have to repeatedly rearrange the load. The machine will actually go into a violent series of moves before stopping. Washing machines typically last us many years. After reading other reviews, we find ourselves wishing that we had picked another brand. We actually chose this one based on good reviews from Consumer Reports! Sounds like we would only be facing additional frustrations if we tried to reach LG for customer service.

We purchased our LG front loading washing machine in November of 2006. Within a few months, we also started having the clothes smelling badly, especially dark colored clothing. One week ago, the washer stopped spinning. We replaced the part. This week, the washer wont even turn on. I called the company for the second time. They chose to offer me a phone number of the closest repairperson (like I cant find that myself). I asked to file a complaint. As of today, I have had no one email or call me back. I emailed the company. Still, I heard nothing. These appliances are very expensive and should be lasting a lot longer than 5 years. The last washing machine we had was an inexpensive top loader that we purchased in 1983, and lasted until 2006. This is ridiculous! We also purchased an LG flat screen TV a couple of years ago. I had to replace a part in it already. Its definitely not a good life for anyone, but Lifes Good for the company!

I am quite disappointed that my french door fridge stopped working with having it less than 4 years. The repairman knew exactly what the problem was when he saw the make/model. He said he has repaired oodles of them. Even though the parts are covered for 10 years the cost for labor is $550. After using LG washer WM4270HWA several months, the ink writing is coming off from the washers front panel and front panel buttons. Please look at the attached picture. The panel was not cleaned using any cleaners. The only explanation is there can be some detergent residue on the fingers after loading the detergent (coming from the detergent bottle or cup). It will dissolve the ink. This is the design problem since it has to be assumed that you are dealing with detergent and LG could cover the front panel writing with transparent plastic or film as they actually do on Power and Start/Pause buttons, proving that they are fully aware of the problem. They could use other inks or just glue the stickers that can be replaced later. Unfortunately, they didnt think much about it and went with the cheapest solution, and this is not the cheapest washer model. Finally, they refused to replace the panel saying it is a cosmetic damage. However when all letters will be gone how to select the washing options? It will be a functional issue. Having extended warranty is not helping either, Home Depot, where the washer was bought, is saying the same. One of their suggestions is to take a marker and write on the panel. Ridiculous nonsense. Be aware.

5 years ago, I bought an LG Washer and Dryer set for $1700 at Lowes. After a year and a half, I started getting the uneven load message occasionally. At this point, it does it on every single load, even if its empty. My water bill is outrageous because it just keeps refilling with water. Ive resorted to hand ringing each item washed in order to put the clothes in the dryer. LG will do nothing about it because its been 5 years since I bought it even though I started calling about the problem after 2 years. I refuse to pay $300 for them to come out to check the problem, then additional cost to fix it, since its a well known issue with their washers. It is a manufacturer design issue and cant be fixed. The only reason they are still in business is probably because of maintenance costs to continue to repair their horrible products. Model #WT4870C.

We recently purchased a new home and with it came an LG washer. After a service call to LG, followed by a maintenance call from a local repair company we are STILL completely dissatisfied with this washer. I have never in all my years of doing laundry (4 children) have ever had to sort clothes based on weight. Even with doing so, the load can take up to two hours to do. The spin cycle is awful and continues to repeat itself. It is quicker to dry a load of towels versus doing a load of wash with the LG. I have read many of the same complaints on this board. LG, you need to do something about this. I would never, ever recommend an LG product to anyone based on my experience with this one product. It is the absolute worst.

We purchased an LG refrigerator model #LFXS30766S from Lowes for around $2400.00 a little over three years ago. Recently that refrigerator just died and we lost all of our food and had a water mess to clean up. We contacted Lowes and of course the extended warranty expired just a few months prior and they could do nothing for us short of selling us a new refrigerator. We contacted LG and they agreed that it was probably a bad compressor which they warranty for ten years. They sent a new compressor and associated parts directly to our house and contacted a local appliance repair company to come and do the repairs. Thats when the nightmare really began. The repair company scheduled us 8 days out and when the repairman showed up he said he couldnt fix it then because it was a three hour job and he needed more parts. We were rescheduled for another 11 days out. The day before that appointment it was canceled for unknown reasons. The next scheduled appointment was a week away. This time a different repairman showed up and he had no idea that someone had already been there previous and that the compressor and parts were at the house. He left to go get refrigerant and we never heard from him again. That was day 26 without a refrigerator. I finally just contacted a recommended local appliance repairman and he came and replaced the compressor the next day. What a nightmare! Well never buy another LG appliance EVER, and will warn everyone we know to avoid them also.

We purchased this LG French Door Refrigerator model LFXS29626 November 5,2015 from Home Depot, noticed the ice cream and pizzas were not staying frozen, later unit not making ice. Called LG customer support line, which is totally a waste of time, since the first call out of the three millions thereafter, I still have a non working refrigerator. No service center wants to work on LG products, the most recorded reason is LG never wants to sent the part and if by some miracle they do it had taken months to receive. I have never experienced this kind of customer service on anything I have ever purchased nor have I ever wrote a review. Updated on 11/08/2019: Have had an ongoing problem with a compressor on an LG refrigerator that is 5 years old and no it out. When the service tech came out on 10/24, the unit was eligible to be fixed free of charge, (which they told me would cost hundreds of dollars). When I complained to LG via ConsumerAffairs, they posted this response on 11/07. When I called them today to inquire about getting it fixed free, they said that now that is was November, we no longer qualified since it was now more than 5 years old, (by 7 days since it was manufactured in October of 2014). Why would they tell me this and then recant it? See screenshot below.... Beware of LG Refrigerators and LG in total, I have two of these refrigerators and their TVs.Original Review: The compressor on our LG refrigerator went out after just 5 years, although its under warranty, it doesnt cover Labor which turn out is several hundred dollars. In addition, it takes weeks to get the parts, not fun when your fridge is down for several weeks. I have two LG refrigerators that we spent more than $2,000 for each....terrible investment. Beware of LG refrigerators.

My newly purchased LG refrigerator had a continuous leak/drip from the water dispenser immediately after installation. After six attempts to fix it, LG decided to deem it normal rather than fixing the problem. A few weeks after owning this refrigerator, water started dripping from the water filter inside the refrigerator. LG refused to fix this issue and told me that I would have to pay for the repair. In my interactions with LG, the customer service supervisor was demeaning, condescending, rude, and unhelpful. I wrote LG corporate headquarters to notify them of my horrible experience with LG and to ensure that they knew that I was unhappy with their product and their customer service. Their response was that the refrigerator was working as designed. They never apologized for my experience. After owning this refrigerator for less than 3 months and it never working right, I decided to call the place that I purchased to exchange to a different brand. I will never purchase any LG product again and I would recommend that you look at a different brand like KitchenAid or Kenmore.

I purchased 4 brand new LG appliances for our daughter when they moved into their new home. She immediately noticed a problem with the range. The knobs on this model are along the front of the stove and they can be turned on very easily. I was there one day and walked past and barely brushed against a knob and turned the element on.This has happened several times. Even the family dog has turned it on. So far there have been two fires as a result of this issue. One caused damage to their LG range hood/microwave and upper cabinets. This stove is dangerous and they should not be allowed to sell it. We have contacted LG several times. They had scheduled an in-home visit to see the issue but never showed up. We have still not received a satisfactory response. The latest response was to keep the children out of the kitchen. The children are the only ones that havent accidentally turned it on.

I found someone to look at the refrigerator and was told it is a compressor issue. I paid over 3000 for a refrigerator that didnt last 3 years. Im very dissatisfied with this product and customer service. I will never buy another LG product. They know these refrigerators have this issue and they are doing nothing to fix it. Same type of compressor is being used to fix the problem which may occur again.

I just purchased my brand new LG washer & dryer about 6 months ago. So far, so good with the dryer, but the washing machine is terrible. Its a fridge, it had the basic features I needed. I bought it because I trust the brand and needed an affordable fridge. As long as it was a reputable brand with the basic functions of a fridge, I was sold. It was the cheapest high quality fridge I could find. It did everything I needed it to do. Yes, it met my expectations. Actually exceeded my expectations. LG is a well known reputable brand. Its a great fridge.

Purchased six years ago. We had to change the motor after three years of very moderate use... then we had to get new springs kit for the door. Now, the water inlet valve is in trouble. We had a KitchenAid pour close to 20 years with only one call to the repair shop... This LG dishwasher is going to cost more in repair bills than we paid for it. The worse dishwasher we ever had. We also got trouble with our LG fridge (door gasket to be change every 2 years) and now the microwave touchpad (control panel) is out of order.

This product I paid $854.99 plus taxes and is upsetting to know this washer is done forever. I purchased on May 3, 2012 at Best Buy. I contact Best Buy they cant do anything about it because I dont have the protection plan. Really for a new washer, my grandmas washer is 15 years old and works fine. My husband contact LG they cant do anything about it because the warranty expired within one year of the date of purchase. So we contact Sears for $200. They came over to do the diagnostic so basically the top computer is outdated, running on the wrong setting, needs to be updated and we need to buy the top setting which is $500.00 plus labor work!!! So if we do this means we basically expending $800.00 if you do the math. DONT BUY LG.

I purchased an LG refrigerator on 5/19/13, model # LFX3194ST, and purchased the 4-year warranty. On 8/14/15 the freezer and then the fridge began to thaw and re-freeze. I called the warranty service and had an appointment scheduled for 8/18/15 between 8-12. The repair technician showed up at 1:30, and after doing diagnostics, said I needed a new compressor (on a refrigerator 2 years old). He ordered the compressor and said it would be delivered on 8/19/15 (and I am sure it is likely a refurbished compressor), and it did arrive, and is still sitting on a bench where I left it in boxes. The technician, Hugo **, then scheduled a 12-4 appointment to replace the compressor on 8/20/15. On 8/20/15, Hugo called at 3:30, and said he had an emergency and needed to reschedule. He rescheduled with me to arrive between 11-12 on 8/21/15. At 2:00 pm on 8/21/15, I called him, and he said he would be over in about one hour. I called him again at 3:15 pm, and he again said it would be about an hour. I had an emergency of my own arise, and called to see where he was at around 4:15 pm, and he said he could be by in 15-20 minutes. I asked if he could wait and come at 5:00. He agreed, but said the visit would take 2-3 hours, which I find to be a long estimate of time when the part is already available. He was angling to reschedule, so I asked when he could. He said he could be over the next morning at 9:00 am, so I decided to allow the reschedule. He never showed or called.I called the warranty department through Lowes to complain. I was told I needed to deal with this technician and take a slot on Monday from 8-12, or I could start over with a new company. They also said the company that was supposed to come has one technician, Hugo, and that he does not work on the weekend, so the warranty rep said, he lied. The next appointment for another company (only other company offered) was 8/28/15. If I started with a new company, the compressor at my home could not be used. So my choice is to take the appointment (like I really believe he will show) or start over. I did work out that I could call another company, but I would also need to start over and bill Lowes. I was also told I could get a rental refrigerator and bill Lowes. Highly doubt I would ever see the $, and the hassle factor would be very high. They have you coming and going.I will NEVER buy anything LG again, and will likely never shop at Lowes again. This warranty is sold by Lowes and they should be bending over backwards at this point due to their poor choice of vendors. No bending noted, so no future business from me. Steer clear of LG and Lowes as far as I am concerned. I included the warranty program # below.

My LG refrigerator, Model Number LFXC24726S/00, has been inoperable since August 2015 (it is now September 23rd). It froze up and took 3 days to thaw out. LG Customer Service says they do not have the part to repair it. It must be shipped from South Korea. They have made two (2) commitments, the last one to contact me September 21st to schedule the repair. They did not call or email. I wrote them last week and they did not respond. This is the second microwave of this model. The first one worked fine for a year - until a few days after the warranty ran out. It was cheaper to buy a new one than to have it repaired, so we bought a new one because it matched the rest of our LG appliances. This one lasted less than 3 months. Home Depot requires 3 repair attempts before they wil take it back (even though we have the extended service plan on this one), so we got in touch with LG again. The same repair man came out and took it apart and put it back together again, saying he couldnt find what the problem was. It worked after that - for 1 day. When I called the repair company again, the tech said he would contact LG for us and get it taken care of. He did contact them, but we have only heard from them once to request more paperwork. Still waiting for the follow-up call a week later to get a refund. I will never buy another LG microwave. Very disappointed in their customer service.

I wish I could give LG a big fat ZERO because that’s what they deserve. I purchased a side by side LG refrigerator two years ago. Six months ago, the ice maker stopped working. Then it started working again four weeks ago, but only for a couple of days. Then the freezer stopped freezing. All my food thawed out and ended up in the trash. Then a few days later, the fridge itself stopped working with the exception of the water. Called LG customer service. They sent someone out five days later (after all the food in the unit ended up in the trash). The tech said he changed the compressor. The following day, the unit is still not working AND now the water isn’t working either. Tech came back out. Said the water line got tangled but now it’s fixed. Over the next five days, the unit worked for a few hours, then stopped. More food spoiled. LG sent the tech out a third time. This time he claims it was the Freon and possibly the motherboard. He left saying it should work now. It didn’t. Now it’s been another five days, more spoiled food. LG scheduled an appointment for yesterday. No one showed up. Called them. They apologized for the confusion and said someone would be here today. No one showed up again. Called them again. Now they said someone will be here tomorrow. Their products stink and so does their customer service. I will never buy another one of their products again!

10 year motor warranty is useless to me/read the fine print. I have an expensive top load direct drive LG washer that was 3 years old when the machine broke. I called LG and they gave me the name of a company to do a diagnostic. That company came out and determined that the motor shaft was broken. The tech estimated that it would cost close to $900 to fix. (Could buy a new washer for that) Thinking that being absurd, I called LG back and they told me that the part was covered but not the labor. The labor is covered for only a YEAR.They further told me that the guy that they recommended price was way too high. They gave me another number and I called that number only to find out that the company will only service items underparts and labor! Heres the ridiculous part. I cant find anyone willing to do a service call when just the part is under warranty. So after 3 years with an expensive washer it is looking like my only choice is to buy a new washer. LG has been of zero help. I will NEVER buy another LG washer again. It is a total joke dealing with their unknowledgeable customer service.

I purchased the worst appliance of my life - an LG refrigerator. It is absolute junk, and I regret ever trusting this company with such a large expenditure for their flagship refrigerator. The fridge never - from day one - held a proper temperature, and the compressor failed within the first year. I tried contacting LG to get warranty service on what was offered as a 10 year compressor warranty, and LG customer service denied their obligations through what happens to be the worst customer experience I have ever had in my life. I am so incredibly angry with them. Just writing this review infuriates me. LG refuses to honor to do the repair, but tries to scam me even further by trying to sell me yet one more level of warranty through my Consumer Protection office, just to honor the warranty that I already have through the original purchase. And then they come back at me and say that they will honor just providing the part on the compressor, if I buy one more extended warranty and sign a waiver to release them from the remaining 8 years left on my already existing 10 year compressor warranty. My fridge has been sitting dead - DEAD - in my kitchen for the last 18 months. I filed a complaint with my Consumer Protection Branch, and they have been fighting with LG for nearly 18 months now, where LG refuses to acknowledge needing to honor any repairs, or to acknowledge my situation. My fridge, completely dead and with the protective plastic wrap (from factory) still on the doors, is landfill junk. So much for that $3,400 retail price for a bunch of landfill crap. I hate this company. I hate this company with a passion. I hate them so much, that as my fridge sits dead for the past 18 months, I get so angry that I cant keep food in my house after spending so much money on the initial purchase. The only time I can even try to keep food is over the winter months when my garage is cold from the winter outdoors. I cant believe that I spent an entire winter (this past winter, and the last) going out to the shelf in my unheated garage, and being forced to eat the food there for me and my family, and questioning whether the food that was ate each and every day would make me sick, or whether it would kill me (from food poisoning). I hate this company so much that I will never - EVER - purchase another LG product in my life. I pray this company goes into bankruptcy. Im in the process of proceeding on a lawsuit with this company, and Im going to go after them for every last penny. My lawsuit is fueled by my hatred for LG, so if you want to feel like I do (the rage) you should go out and buy their garbage and experience this overwhelming anger. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They are scammers, building absolute junk, with horrible products made not to even last a year. My sister just bought an LG phone, and its the worst piece of garbage she said she has ever bought. Shes taking the non functioning phone back to her phone company, because it doesnt work, and has never worked properly. If you want to get an idea about what other LG customers think about LG products, look no further than the 1 star (out of a possible 5 stars) that LG refrigerators are rated at, at ConsumerAffairs. This company fails at everything they do. Did I say I hate this company, passionately? I have never - EVER - in my life hated anything more than LG!!! Do not buy LG products unless you have a passion for being angry, and enjoy feeling hate. I hate you, LG. You are the worst experience of my life, and I wish you and your scam into bankruptcy. Your products dont deserve to be in the world. LGs bankruptcy would make my life so much better. (I hate LG that much!!!) Stay away.

Bought stove in October of 2016. Didnt have gas line installed until Dec, but noticed when we reached up to use microwave we were accidentally turning one or both burners on. Called J. C. Penney about problem but were told that no gas would be released until the knob was turned far enough to light the burner and we would hear the clicking and would have time to turn it off. When we had gas installed to stove we found that wasnt the case. Just a small bump would allow gas to release without warning. Very dangerous situation. At 64 years old we should not have to worry about such a problem. Spoke to J. C. Penney about the problem and were told if we had bought their warranty they could look into it. We were told to contact LG but are put in hold for literally an hour or more until I get frustrated and hang up. Wanting to know what consumer protection agency we can contact about the dangers of this stove. Havent used the oven enough to say if there are problems with that. Sounds like this should be a class action.

Im not too happy with my LG refrigerator after looking into a lot of information and a lot of reviews. Apparently, theres been a lot of problems with their compressors. And it doesnt seem like LG is proactive about going and fixing them because I finally had a problem with my compressor this year. The unit wasnt getting cold at all and we had noticed periodically where it felt like it wasnt cooling enough. We just chalked it up in the air whether it was too hot of a day or too cold of a day, and maybe we didnt have that, we had the house too hot and left it at that. And then, all of a sudden, within three days, it just stopped working.Trying to get LG to come out and fix the issue was like pulling teeth. Apparently though, LG was aware of what the issue was. They didnt give me any problems as far as getting it fixed. But there was a lot of miscommunication internally at LG because they gave me one company that they were gonna have fix the situation, and when I finally contacted them because I hadnt heard from them, they said, We dont work with LG anymore, and I had to call LG and tell them what the company said. So, we were gonna use this other company. It was the same thing. LG gave me the information for that company and I called them immediately. They said some of the same thing. Then finally, the third company was the one that still worked with LG. And then, that had taken almost two weeks to get my refrigerator fixed. At this point, it seems to be running properly. It seems to be making a little bit of noise. So, Im gonna contact the repair people and ask them to come check it out because it makes humming noise that it didnt make before.I have mentioned it to other people and as good friends of mine, they just bought the same refrigerator, and they experienced a similar problem to what we had. And we were told initially, Oh, its probably its seal, it didnt close right. But that was the way our problem started. And six months later, all of a sudden, the refrigerator went bad. But its a known problem with LG. My friends now are keeping a close eye on it.

I wish I could give a negative rating! We have been working with LG customer service since October (over 2 months now). We are extremely disappointed and feel like we have been led on like they would possibly stand behind their product. I can hardly believe we have went this long without a full size fridge and freezer. If LG customer service would have just told us over two months ago that they would not stand behind a less than 3 year old fridge we could have thrown it in a landfill and went and bought another brand. Not only do we NOT need to spend so much money every couple of years on a major appliance, but we really don’t need to fill up our landfills with these things. LG, if you cannot make a large major appliance last longer than 2 years, PLEASE STOP MAKING THEM! Do it not only for customers like me, but for the WORLD!

The refrigerator is still under factory warranty and, I have additional extended warranty. I have spent the last month since July 24th trying to get a replacement/reimbursement for my refrigerator because the service technician they sent out deemed my refrigerator a BioHazard due to the food decomp in the freezer that was kept at room temperature for the compressor fail date until we returned on the 24th.Claims has tried to force a settlement for me to take. That is more of an insult than an offer. Less than half of what was paid for it. All of their units are worthless even their cell V10 & V20, their dishwasher its also another piece of crap. NEVER AGAIN will I ever buy LG. So far stove/oven and microwave works... but give it time. I purchased an LG dryer in March 2015 due to the great ratings and owning a lot of LG products. Within a year I started having trouble with my dryer: no heat. I called several times and customer service said it wasnt their unit. They said it was my venting system or electrical. Had someone come out. Nothing wrong with electrical. Tore dryer apart. If I could give warning signs or negative stars I would! Bought my first machine about a year ago. I havent had a working washing machine since. The machine didnt work from day one. My husband called the company and got the run around for 3 weeks. I contacted Home depot and they got an LG authorized repairman to look at it. Needed a water pump (so they say). Mind you it has only been used twice. They also warned me of the special low-sudsing soap needed (another excuse). Home depot replaced it. However, the second one was just as bad as the first and had the exact same problems. As far as the soap, I ran it with no soap and had the same issues. My last two machines lasted about 10 years each with one service visit between them and they used any kind of soap! They werent top of the line expensive machines either. Im ready to eat the purchase and chuck this piece of junk. The company should give free service to everyone who bought their junk products for 3 years or be sued for selling substandard lemons. No way were they unaware that their product was junk. Two machines in a month and neither work. I will never, never buy an LG product ever again.

Called service at LG and they gave me a company who will fix. Four days later they called and said they do not service the area. Then LG gave me another company very far away and they didnt answer as they were on vacation. Finally after about 8 days, LG sent out someone who worked directly for them and he only fixed the filter and said everything else was fine. The temperature (noted by two new thermometers I have bought) inside was 42, despite the thermostat being set at 34! This man said it was the food that was supposed to be 34 not the air temperature! He said we needed to get a special thermometer to test the food temperature. That was crazy. The food was slowly going bad again. I have moved food in and out of he fridge because I have been told it needs to be empty for fixing and then told I could put food back in after it was fixed (it wasnt). This has happened three times. It is now three weeks later and while the water is no longer leaking, the fridge part is still not cooling properly. Their repair man says it is fixed. Very interesting that the warranty is going to be up in a few weeks. LG says someone will come out in three days. Why is it that they have no contract with fixer companies in my urban area (DC)? That is because the companies say LG pays very little to these companies and they dont want to work for them doing free warranty work. This is unacceptable.I have lost 100s of dollars of food over Christmas and New Year. I want all of us to file a class action lawsuit. I am truly fed up.

LG customer service is the worst ever. Ive been dealing with them for almost a week and as of yet no one has called me back. They either have me on hold for three hours or they disconnect me. They that they understand and they or that they are sorry. I have a child with special needs and a special diet and they dont even care. My refrigerator its on its third repair. I just want a new replacement or financial reimbursement. I would never buy an LG appliance and I advise anyone who is thinking of purchasing an LG refrigerator to stay away and purchase another brand.

Bought the dishwasher 4 years ago. Rack system collapses when you load plates - had to jerry rig something to prevent from happening, the hose discharging the water leaked after 3 years of normal use (very thin, cheap hose I had to replace), had numerous occasions where it would not pump water out so had to manually remove the water and it would then worked again until now when it is not longer pumping. I think I am going to start buying disposable appliances - the kind that cost less you dont feel bad throwing away after a few years of use cause they did not cost a fortune...

Sears should of replaced on the 3rd time washer broke down and I should of given a new washer with a better brand for washer? Defect with time? Im a customer over 45 years and I shouldnt have been taken care of.

LG washing machine WT4870CW. What a piece of junk this machine is, $727.99
LG washing machine WT4870CW. What a piece of junk this machine is, $727.99 and less than two years old. This machine sometimes has a smell to it, take forever to do a load of wash and puts pulls in my clothing and now it leaks water out over the tub. (A computer problem with the amount of water being put into the machine.) When I originally took it apart to check where the water was coming from I was shocked at how cheap it was built. They advertise stainless steel DRUM but they dont tell you is the outside tub which holds the water is plastic, look like a big water cooler jug, you can see right thru it. They also make a big deal out of the ten year warranty on the direct drive motor because they know the machine wont last that long. Called customer service for help with my problem, what a joke, had some guy with an accent reading from a book and so much noise in the background I could hardly hear him. He gave me the number for the local repair place in my area and told me I would have to pay for labor but the parts were free. I called them and nothing was free and they didnt even like working on them because they have problems getting parts, most times they have to order them for Korea and they take a very long time to get. In fact the company who repairs them doesnt even sell them because they have so many problems. (They dont like Samsung either, both made in the same country.) I decided I wasnt putting more good money into a bad product so Im just going to take my loss. I bought a new Speed Queen with an agitator and all manual controls, I dont need a computer operated washing machine, I have ten good fingers and can turn three dials, and hit one switch. (Top rated machine on the market, fewest repairs.) I will never buy anything made by LG again, Im keeping my paper work on the old machine in case they ever have a class action suit against them. I hope everyone who has problems with this machine tells all their friends to stay away from LG.

I bought my LG French door refrigerator in 2011 and its pretty much dead now. The ice maker was always flakey but we lived with it. The gasket doors started hanging up and we lived through it. Then ice maker stopped making ice. Ordered new ice maker but found out that it was not making ice because it was not cold enough. Cleaned the coils and it just slowly got worse. Ordered a temp sensor and the main pcb. Tried those parts but still not cooling properly. Called LG. I figured it was the compressor because I read that LG was using bad compressors. Paid a certified LG service provider 600.00 in labor to replace compressor.Called Friday and by Tuesday they were replacing the compressor, wow Im feeling good about now. Two guys 4 or 5 hrs later and calls to LG and they were told they needed the main pcb. I gave them the new pcb I had ordered and the same problem persisted. The compressor shuts down after 15 minutes. They said they would have to order another one from LG and come back. After not hearing for a couple of days I called them and ask them What was up? They said that they ordered but because LG was having so many problems with these compressors they were back ordered and they had no idea when a new compressor would arrive. They said not their fault call LG and ask them.Call LG but they were useless. They said they were not having any issues with bad compressors and dont believe anything you read on the internet. I asked What about the service provider? Is he lying to me? LG responds that it does not take much to become a warranty service provider just ask to be one. No training. Wow! LG pretty much said 7 years is the lifespan of their products and then they become legacy and put at back of the bus. They will provide parts if they can get them. I own a LG55 inch tv that fail after about 5 years, found a main board out of Nova Scotia and was able to repair that. If it wasnt for that it would in the trash. So here is the problem I paid the service provider to replace the compressor and LG provided the part but if they have to come back to do it again who pays for that? LG can send another compressor but theyre not paying for the service. The service provider had two guys for about 4 to 5 hrs. Why would the service provider work for free? I can see this evolving into cant get parts from LG and LG saying they have no issues supplying good parts forever and never repairing my fridge. Thank god I did not but an LG exploding phone. It took them forever to recall those phones!

Purchased LG fridge (LFX25991st) in December 2013 for $2,500. December 2015 evaporator fan & control board went out. Cost $500. July 2017 the exact same issue. This time Sears repair parts & labor $800. Sears tech. informed us that this was a documented service alert and that there was a design defect in the air-flow cover assembly which has been corrected. Now, three weeks after the $800 repair ice maker is no longer working and the freezer is not working. There should be a lemon law for appliances. LG is a zero on customer service. I never thought I had to read the manual to run this... but one day realized that the filter was really greasy and there was water standing in the drain. Then I found a quick guide with my papers that actually said to clean this filter every time you wash! The water never drains out which creates moisture even if you put a paper towel in it each time you use it! Really... Does a manufacturer expect you to clean the filter each time? Plus we dont ever put dirty dishes in it to begin with! Pricey item And LG wont back this up because I am beyond my warranty. Who has time for this!? Forget this product.

Buyer beware!!! LG Appliances are horrible!!! I recently remodeled my whole kitchen and liked the way the black stainless steel appliances looked. I’m usually a Maytag fan but they didn’t carry the black stainless steel so I went with LG. HUGE mistake!!! The dishwasher is junk in less than 3 months. The dishwasher needed a whole new power board. After dealing with customer service and getting the runaround I finally had my dishwasher fixed after 3 weeks of non use. Now here it is 6 months later I’m having the same problem. This time customer service is worse. They sent the work order to 3 different places that don’t come to my area, spent hours on the phone and I’m already 2 weeks without a dishwasher and still dealing with this problem. This is a thousand dollar hunk of junk! That’s not the only problem the 3rd rack is useless, it doesn’t dry your dishes, it takes 2 hours to complete a load and everything is still wet, the tines are flimsy and always fall over causing you to break dishes at times, it’s always humid inside the dishwasher that creates an odor all the time and I pre rinse my dishes and clean the trap regularly. I have nothing nice to say about it except that it’s nice to look at and it’s quiet. Especially now because it doesn’t work! If you value the opinion of others and the reviews you read do not buy LG! I’m already Experiencing problems with my stove and my fridge has dents in it from just regular use. It’s like it’s made out of putty you look at it and it dents. LG should stick to making TVs. I’m highly disappointed and can’t wait to replace all of my appliances with Maytag!

We just purchased an LG kitchen package including the glass top electric LG range with knobs on the front (LSE4613/LSE4611) and had it delivered on 7/11/20. We have had it in our home for one week and weve accidentally turned the front knobs on multiple times by reaching into the microwave, cleaning the back splash, or reaching above into a cabinet. The knobs should not be that easy to turn. They are a push and turn style knob. We went back to the store to begin an exchange process for a model with the knobs in the back, but we are very disappointed because we like the appearance of this style much better. We are shocked by how easy it is to turn these knobs and really dont want to have to resort to ugly child proofing on our brand new appliances. Is there a better option?

I have been loading home dishwashers for over sixty years and my LGF7774 is the worst, and I must say, nearly impossible to load effectively. Because it doesn’t seem to be designed for actual dishes, it takes longer to load, as I have to move things around constantly to get them where they will actually get clean. The top rack areas for glasses seems to be slanted wrong and are the wrong width. As a result the glasses often fall over and break as I’m closing the tray. The bottom rack is even more frustrating. Those prongs that flop down to accommodate (what?), pans perhaps, may have seemed like a good idea to some engineer, but in use they plop down whether you want them to or not. The bottom of the lower rack could also use some redesigning. I have many square dishes and have to be over-cautious about seeing that the corners don’t extend downward where they will interfere with the spray arm.The dishes washed appear to be clean, but don’t smell clean. I’m asking the world of manufacturers, “If the user has to rewash things, or wash them before using a machine, how much water and electricity is that saving? And if I cover the food-left-on smell with a scented rinse does that make the dishes cleaner?” In fairness I must add that I just discovered that it has an extra rinse cycle and am at the moment trying that one out.

We bought our top loading washer from Home Depot about 4 years ago. Thank goodness we invested in the extended warranty at the urging of the Home Depot salesman. I am sure he had heard many complaints about this brand. We had the washer less than a year and the drum broke. It took more than 11 days to get the washer fixed. I have 6 kids. Think of the laundry! Nightmare! The customer service could care less that having a broken washer was a huge inconvenience. Also, what does that say that MANY people were having issues with their machine and the wait list for service took 2 weeks?Fast forward 1 year and now we are dealing with a broken pump and the washer will not drain. We are on day 14 with a broken washer. The part has been ordered but LG did not rush it so we are literally at the mercy of freight shipping. We still have those 6 children. Laundry = Nightmare! Aside from the mechanical failures, the washer does not get our clothes as clean as our old, top loading washer that we had for 18 years. We often have dark brown mold splotched streaked across our clothes, sheets and towels. I bleach a lot and the musty mold is still an issue. I am continually cleaning the mold from the rubber seal. This is an awful appliance. Very disappointing! It is an expensive piece of junk. I do not recommend anyone purchase an LG washer unless you are a glutton for punishment.

We purchased an LG French door stainless refrigerator in September of 2016
We purchased an LG French door stainless refrigerator in September of 2016 (did not take delivery until mid October). On September 19, 2018 we woke up to a defrosting freezer and non-functioning refrigerator, in under two full years of use. LG customer service told me the part is covered under the sealed system warranty, but labor is not. They offered to cover labor “as a courtesy,” but they did not have a technician available. They gave me the phone number of an authorized repair center and an “APN” number, but when I called I was told they are not currently taking repairs for LG because they have a 3 WEEK backlog.I called LG back and they gave me the only 3 other authorized repair centers in the state of Colorado. Two don’t actually work on refrigerators and the third offered to come out in a week. Took the appointment but called LG back and was told I could call try to find someone to fix it sooner, but they would only cover labor through their providers. When I told them I can’t afford refrigerator repair on a product I bought in good faith that has failed in under two years, I was told “that’s not on LG.”I kept the appointment, sat home all day yesterday (9/25/18) waiting for my 1-3PM repair window, expecting a working fridge by dinner time. At 3:30 the provider arrived, looked at the fridge, said “yep, your compressor is shot. It’ll take 3 days to get the part, then we’ll get you on the schedule for repair. Just understand we’re very busy and seeing a ton of these, so we’re trying to get at least one repaired daily.” So I have no idea how long it’s going to take. My family of 7 is living out of a dorm sized (Whirlpool) fridge. I’m going to the store up to 3 times a day to get food I can make immediately and a half gallon of milk at a time for my 5 kids. We bought an entire kitchen suite of LG appliances at the same time and are now terrified they’re all going to fail and it won’t be “on LG.” As I’m sharing with friends, at least 3 have had the same issue, one within the month and her fridge was newer than mine.

We purchased the LPXS30866D Refrigerator as part of a complete set from Costco when we were remodeling a home. The refrigerator is just 4 years old when we woke up one morning to have everything thawed. We were told the compressor went out and to set up a repair through LG Support. We did that and were told we would be contacted in 3 to 5 days. A few days went by and we hadnt heard anything so I called again, they said I should hear something in a few days. Once again when I didnt get any calls I called again and was told my first submission was cancelled! So, I had to start the whole process again with waiting the 3 to 5 days just to hear from someone to even schedule and appointment. Finally got an appointment scheduled for the repair but when the day of the appointment came the LG liaison showed up but the repairman did not. The LG liaison apologized and told us he would get back with us on another date. 10 days later we were scheduled again for the repair this time both showed up BUT, then the repairman realized what the repair was and he refused to do it and left! The LG liaison doesnt actually work for LG and had been very nice. He said his boss would be calling us but later in the day when we hadnt heard from him we texted him. He told us he totally apologized and understood our frustration. He said his best suggestion is for us to contact LG!!! So were back to square one! Its been 4 weeks without a refrigerator and were beyond frustrated. There is a serious problem with LG repair services!
