This shows very irresponsible of LG Team as they were providing very worst services. As of now they are charging for inverter compressor as that have 10 year of warranty and refrigerator is only 1 year old. Means they are making fool to customers and their technicians are talking in attitude like if you want to take services from LG you have to pay for it. No options. Even such after taken multiple calls and mails with their officials not getting any positive response. Although they are delaying and showing irresponsible behaviour as only not getting revert on mail not getting any kind of support from them. They are totally making fool to customers. Request No. **. Product: LG Smart inverter compressor Refrigerator. Product No. GL-B201AHAW. Mobile No. **.

I love the styles LG has to offer and they have plenty of storage room. I also love the different color options provided with the LG brand. There is nothing I dislike about the LG brand. LG is a very reliable brand and if asked I would refer people to buy them a LG refrigerator. I will not stand a potential buyer wrong.

The LG Model LDE4413ST could have burned down my house! The knobs are way too sensitive, so whenever anyone brushes past them, even slightly and without the knob pushed in, the stove top turns on and you wouldnt even notice until its too late. Very dangerous. Someone else in my family has a gas LG range and this happens to them all the time as well, so I wouldnt be surprised if a lot of other people have this issue. We put in a complaint with LG with pictures of the damage. Tim, whom my husband spoke with on the phone, told us This wasnt your fault. Well take care of it. Now, LG is telling us our home insurance has to cover it and they wont do anything about it. I have reported LG to saferproducts.gov and Im looking into filing a class action suit.

I purchased a brand new LG refrigerator in December of 2015 from H. H. Gregg (who went bankrupt shortly after my purchase therefore making the extended warranty null and void). Sunday morning September 23, 2018 I woke up to find a puddle in front of the freezer compartment (its a side by side). I opened the freezer to find everything defrosting rapidly. I put everything in the refrigerator side (which seemed cold). Within the day I realized the refrigerator wasnt working either. The next day, September 24th (my birthday) my husband called an appliance service person (Coastal Appliance) who came within the hour. The technician, Mark said it was the linear compressor 134A that failed. He said morally he couldnt fix it because the failure rate on this part is too high and too expensive. After checking on his phone he said the parts and labor would cost approximately $1,000 and it would only fail again at some point. He suggested we purchase another refrigerator not an LG or Samsung as they both use the same compressor. I feel like I was scammed by the LG Refrigerator company. I paid thousands of dollars for this refrigerator and I should be getting more than 2 years and 10 months of service from it.

I purchased an LG oven as a gift for my sons family in February 2013. After 6 months the oven stopped working. My son called LG and had a repair person come to the house. He had to wait over 3 weeks for the appointment, even after offering to be home at any hour. He has small children and trying to make meals for the 3 weeks was a challenge. Once the oven was repaired we all thought it was good to go. In January 2014 the same problem occurred but this time LG said they cannot get the part (after my son and his family waited another 3 weeks for an appointment). My son and I have spoken to LG and they offered to pay us back for what we paid. Of course they refuse to replace it. It is not longer an item that they make and since we got it on sale so a new LG will cost much more than what they are offering to give us. Shame on you LG. When I purchased my oven, not an LG, and it did not work properly, not only was it replace but it was replaced the next day. I will never purchase anything made by LG again. Customer service says it all and LG does not have it. From a customer of anything but LG.

Think twice before buying a washing machine or any LG product!!! I got this
Think twice before buying a washing machine or any LG product!!! I got this machine back in the summer of 2011. It seemed to be a great product and you had the ability to washing extremely large loads of laundry at a time. But once something goes wrong then you are in trouble! The washing machine began throwing an error code nonstop during a laundry cycle which made doing a single load of laundry next to impossible. It would take me 3-4 hours to do ONE SINGLE LOAD due to the error code. It constantly kept refilling the tub with water and attempting to continue the cycle then it would knock itself off balance and start all over again. Finally I had enough and called LG to see what the issue was. Talk about an awful customer service. I could barely understand the person and finally was able to get that there was a recall which was a software update from what the person had said and that they would contact a technician around my area to come service the machine (do the software update). That was fine by me and so I waited around to hear from the technician. A few days later I got a call from the technician in my area and they said that LG had contacted them and once they received the part they would come out and fix it. How in the world I went from needing a software update to ordered a part when no one had even come and looked at the washer was beyond me but I simply said ok and went about my day. Here is when my nightmare with LG really began. The part apparently was on back order and they told me after going a month without being able to use the machine that the part would be in within the next few weeks. After the date they had given me was passed I decided to call them back to find out what in the world was going on which they would only reply saying that the part wouldnt be in until the end of the next month. Im sorry but I cant go without a washing machine for over a month and they wanted me to go without one for over 2 months?!! To make this story short after getting absolutely nowhere with their terrible customer service I ended up making a phone call to Sears who did have the part and sent it out to me that same day. I got the part and was able to get my washer fixed (hopefully for good fingers crossed). LG was not pleased that I got the part from another source and tried to convince me to cancel the order by stating that it could be the wrong part even though it was the same part that they claimed was the issue for the machine not working in the first place. Since I refused to cancel the order and wait on them to decide when they wanted to ship the part out, they refused to reimburse me for the part and were very rude. Please do some research before deciding on purchasing ANY PRODUCT from LG. I have dealt with plenty of customer service centers and this is by far the worst service center ever! The people you get connected to are nothing but rude and not one bit helpful if you have an issue with a product (especially washing machines!). They should really change their slogan from Lifes Good to Lifes Greedy because that is exactly what this company is! This washing machine is total junk and I ended up spending a lot of money (on top of the cost of the washing machine) to fix this piece of crap that is truly not all that old. The parts for this machine are apparently always on back order and next to impossible to get to fix these junky products. I have had multiple places tell me that they no longer service LG appliances because it is too difficult to get the parts to work on them and that LG is a difficult company to work with and I sure learned my lesson after having to deal with them multiple times! They do not care about their customers like they claim and have no problem making junky appliances and putting ridiculous price tags on them. I wish that I would have did even a quick search about the products before I had purchased this machine but I now know for future reference and will not be making the same mistake again. I recommend buying a different brand and staying away from LG!!! It will save you money and stress I promise!!!

I had purchased the above fridge and after 17 days its compressor was burnt. I insisted for its replacement but after full assurance by the companies repairing manager that any future complaint will be attended with immediate replacement, I gave my consent. To my utter disappointment, only after 3 days of its compressor being replaced, the same again, stopped working. Immediately I requested the repairing manager to provide a staff for its original repacking after which the same was delivered to authorized service center, viz. M/s S.R.Service Plot no 2.Raghunath **, Mahmoorganj, Varanasi, Uttar-Pradesh (INDIA) for replacement, but still after nearly two years, I have not received the replacement nor have my requests made by personal visit to your office been attended. Now, online complaints are also being directed to Branch Manager, Varanasi. On contacting her on mobile she had assured to revert yesterday but on several calls today, it was revealed that still they are checking their records. As a customer, I now request you to refund my money with interest and also compensate for the mental agony faced by me till date. Please, HELP ME GOD.

We bought an LG refrigerator because of the size. My wife wanted to go with GE. I convinced her to go with LG. We had multiple issues with the icemaker and then finally within 2 years, the motherboard went bad. It would have cost $500 to fix. We decided to buy a GE for $800 and had not had any issues. I contacted LG saying that their product required multiple repairs and they refused to cover the work. Lastly, we wrote a letter of complaint stating that not only were we disappointed with their product and response, but we have found mounting complaints that were tarnishing their image. Their response was Sorry for your difficulty, but one bad item does not reflect on their image. It does with us. Never buy an LG product. They are garbage.

My LG refrigerator was purchased in May 2009 and I had about 10 service calls. First, it wasnt cold enough to produce ice. Then it gets too cold now and my food turns frozen. Its out of warranty with LG, but still has extended warranty with Best Buy.Best Buy has been here already 4 times and put 2 parts in. Now theyre playing with the refrigerator temp on the door, trying to adjust the temperature and testing my milk with this temp gauge. Since they lower the temperature, my ice maker is not working right. I had enough with this refrigerator, and I wasnt even supposed to get an LG. I picked out a Maytag and Best Buy was unable to give me that, and after waiting a month they offered the LG instead.

I purchased a brand new house not even a year ago. I was beyond excited that NEW LG appliances will be included with the house. Little did I know. My first issue was that the ice machine did not make ice. Next my refrigerator started defrosting all my food in the freezer component. Thankfully I had a full warranty. I was wrong, no one in Customer Service nor executive services wanted to help. They pretty much left me to deal with this issue alone, 4 technicians later my fridge is still not fixed. LG is a horrible company and word has to get out!

LG LDG3036 ST Gas Range. I really like the double ovens and the design of this gas range, but I am completely dissatisfied with how the stove top burners work. The size of the flames around the burners vary considerably, so food will burn in one part of the pan and be barely simmering in another part, making it very, very difficult to cook food evenly. All 5 burners have the same problem. An LG technician came to fix it for the second time today with no improvement. I just got off the phone with customer services Executive Services and was told there was nothing more they could do, and that the stove was functioning according to the manufacturers standards and they will not replace or let me return it. So I paid $1300+ for a stove that doesnt cook any better than a primitive campfire. I have cooked on gas stoves for more than 30 years and have never had this problem. Cooks buy gas stoves so they have more heat control, not less. Id suggest LG needs to reconsider their manufacturing standards as their current one is unacceptable.

Initially the LG double oven and 5 burner stove top looked amazing. It did just what we wanted it to do during the holidays. The super boiler burner is great. The double oven did everything we needed for the holiday dinners. The only problem is the burners turn on (Gas) with the least amount of pressure on the knobs. Other reviews have express the same danger and LG does not have a fix according to other reviews. I went to my local hardware store and bought springs that I cut to length and placed them behind the knobs to provide the need for more pressure to activate the ignition. Its a matter of time before clothing or other items get caught on fire. Especially with the Super Boiler burner.

I bought this 2 years ago and had problems from the first load. The bottom slide out rack CONSTANTLY goes off track and can take 5-6 times to get it back on. Not an easy task when you are bent over and it is full. Dishes are always spotty, have tried every cycle and lots of different detergents and rinses. Everything is spotty and has a slippery feel to it. I end up using the rinse cycle only after doing a load and then they dont dry. More times than not I just hand wash the dishes. QUICKER, MUCH MORE ENERGY EFFICIENT AND DONE RIGHT. DO NOT BUY THIS CRAP.

LG is a well-known brand, and the unit we got was on sale and it was about the size we needed. Also, it is quieter than what we had. Options were priority #1 but cost vs options was a big consideration. Loved the steam dryer feature but wasnt a fan of the track record that front loading washers have with having to be cleaned regularly. However, thats been a minimal issue since we purchased them two years ago. Brand reputation and capacity is a plus as we have 2 kids and very busy schedules. Our need is to do large loads fast. So far thats been the result. Regular repair and low quality construction would be instant turn-offs for my wife and I. But we likely wouldnt look at anything that would fall into those categories anyway. We have the two red LG front loading washer and dryer set with the steam dry option. Were able to load the washer up with large amounts of clothes regularly and wash them quickly, and we actually saw a drop in our water bill after we brought them home. We opted against the pedestals, but were reconsidering that thought as they are a little short for a guy who is 63 and does his own washing. So far, not a single major issue.

We purchased our refrigerator in November of 2015. Customer no service is worse than terrible. Our refrigerator broke down in August of 2019. It is now February 2020. We have had a working refrigerator for 3 days. Since then repair is a nightmare. Only comes on their schedule (A&E) and only when they want. If you ask to speak to management they hang up on you or put you thru transferring you to all incorrect departments. When they hang up on you they block your number so you cannot call back. The 4th person that came out said the parts he was installing looked used. Gosh wonder why they didnt work. Last person out said defect in refrigerator design was the problem even if they order parts will not work. He called LG. They are sending parts to repair defective refrigerator. LG model #lmxs30776s.

I bought an LG dryer 4 years ago and have already had it repaired twice. Only once was it under warranty. Now, my dryer was making large clunky sounds as it turned. I called the repair company that was used under the warranty and they came out to look at it. They found the drum to be cracked at the weld. I looked that up on the internet and found several other complaints for the same problem. Well, I immediately called customer service and talked with them. The gentleman I talked to said that he would email me the paperwork so that I could make a claim. Well, the email came in without a claim number which I needed to attach the pictures and original purchase receipt. Well, the email came without a claim number. I emailed them back and was told I needed to call customer service. Two days later, I get a phone call telling me that they wouldn’t cover the cost of a new drum because I already had it replaced. Mind you, this was two weeks after the initial call. Well, needless to say, they refused to reimburse me because I didn’t want to wait for them to send one of their repair people out to look at it so they could charge me another $80.00 just to look at it on top of the $50.00 already paid to another company to find the problem. For supposed to be top-of-the-line appliances, they are nothing but problems. I would not recommend buying any LG appliances whatsoever.

I bought a top load LG washer in May of 2014, model WT1101CW, and was very pleased with it. I have three pets and we need to wash large comforters and blankets often; the washing machine did a great job and was easy to use. Then a freak accident occurred within just a couple of months of owning the machine. The washing machine pulled a sheet into the drain at the bottom of the tub and I had to call a technician. Since then, the machine has been operating well until all of a sudden, it stopped two weeks ago and gave me an error message PE. That means the water sensors arent working. I was leaving town and asked my adult daughter to please call and arrange a service call but she said she called the customer service number multiple times and wasnt able to get an appointment set. I called when I returned home and was told that 1) LG couldnt get in touch with four different companies that service their appliances, 2) there are no LG technicians available to help me, 3) that Id have to wait 3-5 days for someone to call me back. I called again today - same story. I told the operator that the wait time for a service call is unacceptable, especially since now were moving in to our third week without a washing machine. I would NOT purchase this machine again. Im sure there are other options out there that clean as well as this one does and are more reliable.

I bought an LG french door fridge with bottom freezer. After just under a year, the ice machine went and I had to have it replaced. This was covered under warranty. However, my fridge is not quite 3 years old yet and the Linear Compressor went. LG told me the part is under warranty, but labor is not. So, I waited a week for the technician to come out and have a look at the fridge. He told me that the part is only about $150 (but covered under warranty), but the labor would cost me about $900 plus to fix and he couldnt even guarantee that it would work after. He told me to just buy a new fridge. So I spent $2300 not even 3 years ago and have to buy a new fridge. LG will not replace it.

I turned in a Warranty Claim on my LG French Door Refrigerator which LG denied, their reason being that because when the serviceman came out he could not duplicate the problem. It was very obvious that the water had leaked underneath the refrigerator on the left side damaging my wood floor on my new home that I had just moved into on June 9, 2016, the refrigerator had been ordered online from Sears and hooked up by Sears servicemen. The water damaged wood under the refrigerator was found when the refrigerator had to be moved for some touchup painting behind the refrigerator. There is nowhere else the water could have come from except the refrigerator. There had been a rotten egg smell in the appliance for about 2 weeks, but there were was nothing rotten in the fridge, I even switched out the filter and put charcoal in the fridge... It finally dissipated after about 2 weeks. I told the repairman about this and he said a water line possibly got stopped up and then it released the water. The problem is he didnt put that on his report, he just put that problem could not be duplicated.

I bought an LG French door Refer with Bottom freezer (model # LFX25960ST). Interior light stayed on, melting the plastic cover. I woke at 06:00AM on 11/19/2011 to the odor of burning plastic. I am a firefighter for 30 years, so I knew what I was smelling. It would not have been much longer before flames would have appeared. I have working smoke detectors in the house, so it may not have been tragic, with regard to loss of life, though the fire damage could have been very costly. After reading so many common instances, I will do my best to spread awareness, starting with the 3,000 active and retired members of the Fire Department I work for. I will be looking for information on recall, or class action suit. Refrigerator is stocked with Thanksgiving food, purchased yesterday. Now, I can not trust the food, and must repurchase. Luckily, I caught this when I woke up this morning. It would not have been long before this started a fire.

We purchased an LG front load washer (LG WM2688HNM) and dryer in June 2007 from Best Buy. We had constant problems with the washer leaking. We had technicians out almost monthly to try and find the source of the leak without any success. After about five months of complaining to LG’s customer service, they did have Best Buy give us a replacement in June of 2008. Unfortunately, the new machine did the same thing, but not quite as often and more like every two or three months. Again, the technicians cannot find where the leak is occurring from. It does not seem to make any difference how much detergent or bleach one uses. About two years ago the machine started dancing across the floor and vibrating items off the shelves in the laundry room. The technician put pads under the washer that are supposed to keep it in place and reduce the vibrations, but to no avail. It just keeps moving from one side of the laundry room to the other side, so we have to put it back in place until the next load.Oh, by the way, the dryer does not work much better than the washer. It goes through the dry cycle (and it doesn’t seem to matter which one) and the clothes are still damp if not wet. It doesn’t seem to matter if one uses the wrinkle guard or not. One technician suggested that with LG, one needed to use normal if you were doing permanent press, clothes, etc., but they still don’t get fully dried. Based on our experience, I would have to say do not buy LG products. As it stands at this point, I don’t think I would take an LG product if they were to give it to me.

The control knobs turn to the on position very easily. Our unit has the controls on the front and would allow children, or someone leaning against the stove to turn the burners on. This stove control system is very, very dangerous!! We have already melted multiple plastic containers which had been sitting on the top of our stove when the burners were accidentally turned on. LG, please fix this problems before a house fire occurs and people die!!!

I bought an LG refrigerator and it was a horrible purchase. I had to have it fixed and I had to pay for a repair guy to come out six times. The last man to come out told me that the previous technician that came out didnt know what he was doing, and he was terminated because he was caught lying to customers. I was also promised by LG a voucher for thousands of dollars worth of food I had to throw out because of all the times my refrigerator broke down. I sent in the receipt and I have a copy of the email but I never heard from them again. I never received the voucher for the food. I am a single mom of four kids and for me to lose thousands of dollars worth of food is completely disgusting. I would never buy an LG product ever again. It was a fail on their part to do what they were supposed to do and its taking everything inside of me not to go to the Better Business Bureau or to contact my lawyer regarding this.

I wanted to be fair about my review so I waited until I had it a while. I bought this machine a yr ago and I am very disappointed. In any cycle, theres not enough water to get everything wet, say nothing about rubbing the clothes together. The repairman came out for a repair issue and stated the machine was made to wash ONE set of sheets not two. If I want anything really clean, I have to go to bulky to get enough water to make any soap suds. Most of the time, I can see the blue soap color on some of the clothes.. They dont get wet enough to get the soap off. I will not buy LG anything again.

This LG dishwasher cleans the dishes very nicely. Its quiet, offers a variety of cycles, looks good, etc. Of the ten or so dishwashers Ive owned over my lifetime, this one is my favorite. Things that I like about the LG dishwater: very quiet, thorough cleaning, looks attractive, lots of options inside for placement of dishes, drinkware and pots, and a pleasant little tune when each load is done.

I just purchased new LG appliances about 4 months ago. All are ok except the dishwasher. There are two main issues I continue to have. The bottom rack continues to come off track and it appears the design of the dishwasher does not have a large enough track to keep the wheels on track. I continue to have issues with the dishes not getting clean. If we do not pre-rinse the dishes completely, they will come out dirty with the residue dried on. I generally use the normal cycle, which takes 2 1/2 hours.I called customer service and was told that the normal cycle is designed to reach a temperature of 96 degrees and have a moderate spray intensity. The agent further explained that this is not a sufficient wash cycle to clean dishes unless they are completely pre-washed! She recommended using Power Scrub, a cycle that takes close to 3 hours, or adding in addition rinse cycles to The normal cycle. I am so disappointed that I spent over $700 on a dishwasher that is not designed to wash dishes! Please DO NOT make the same mistake.

I purchased the LG gas convection range in Aug 2016. Its been a learning curve getting used to the gas convection oven mode, I previously had a dual fuel range, using electric convection (worked great). One of the reasons for purchase was the angled and higher control knobs, which I thought would take care of turning the knobs on accidentally. My 12 year old Kenmore Elite range exploded inside while on self cleaning cycle (glad I was home & in the kitchen when it happened). I turned on the knobs accidentally on the Kenmore often, hated that. So got the LG. Well I was still able to turn on the knobs by brushing against them, like others have stated. Definitely a design hazard. So I quickly went to Target and got the childproof knobs covers. I placed them on the 2 outside knobs on the right and left side burners. This left the middle knob uncovered on each side. The covers fit perfectly and NO MORE accidental turning on knobs. I can use all the controls without difficulty. Now the Easy Clean is a joke. It worked two times initially, since then it does nothing except pool water in my oven. The program is 10 minutes per the manual and timer on the range. I now see it says 20 minutes on the website, Hmmmm. At any rate when the cycle is done, the oven isnt warm and the water is COLD. So Im using the self clean mode, well see if it does better. I dont use my oven much. Otherwise, I am fairly happy so far, paid $1600 for the LG. I loved my Kenmore Elite and had no problems until the elements blew up inside & damaged the oven, out of warranty. I hope I get 12 years on this one, glad I purchased extended warranty for 5 years.

I purchased an LG refrigerator from Best Buy and it is three years old. I live in Santa Fe New Mexico and it turns out there are no authorized service people here. I called LG directly and they referred me to people who said they would not even look at an LG refrigerator and wished me luck. After 7 phone calls they advised me to find a service person who would work on it and they would authorize them. I found someone and when they called to get the information LG would not give it to them. I called to get the information how to safely remove the ice and water dispenser to check the control board and they refused to give it to me. I then requested to speak to a supervisor and was told one would call me back the next day. A week has gone by and no call. I would say their customer service is the worst I have ever experienced and that is supported by talking to a half dozen repair people in Northern NM who refuse to work on any LG products because they are complicated and there is no support from LG. This is an expensive lesson. A $3000 refrigerator is on the way to the dump after 3 years.

I bought an LG double oven in February. As soon as I tried to preheat the oven, the oven filled my house up with gas. After many unsuccessful attempts to have LG have someone come out to fix the oven under its warranty, LG finally scheduled a company to come out to fix the oven. After the company attempted to fix the oven four times, the oven still leaks so much gas when I attempt to preheat the oven that I cant use it. Even though the service company has told LG that the oven is defective and they wont come attempt to repair it anymore, LG refuses to replace the oven or refund me for the cost of the oven. The experience with this washer in particular but also the dryer is among the worst We have made. Now that my four children have moved out I figured I would be doing less washing and drying. I’ve owned this product for two years. I’ve already spent close to $200 having somebody replace a drum. The washer in particular does not drain properly and I have to physically open the tube and sit there with a bowl draining water sometimes 5 to 7 times or the clothes will be soaked smelly and filled with filthy water along with the bottom of the washer. Sometimes water leaks out of the bottom. I couldn’t even begin to go through the litany of the defects. Glad I’m selling my house soon and will be sure to leave this here. Never will I buy another product from this company again. I can’t remember the last time I had to submit a review so negative.

Every time I called, I got a different explanation of what I had to do to get a resolution. I basically got lied to every time I called. I got from 2 days to 15 days. Then I got, “Oh, you must submit this and that.” Every one of them that I could understand said, “Oh, sorry for your problem. Ill note that and that is all I can do.” As well as, “System is down today, sorry.” I requested a senior advisor or someone and never got anything but, “All I can do is note that, so sorry. Anything else I can do?The cost from the spoiled food I have had to throw out over the years is astronomical. The fact that I havent gotten seriously sick from the food is miraculous. Every time I had a little food that didnt taste right, I threw it out. There were so many times my ranch salad dressing tasted so sour, but I ate some and served it. But then I replaced it. I and my guests are lucky we werent poisoned, though I have had some minor stomach bouts. And now think I know why.I have suffered with a horrible refrigerator from LG for almost 5 years. I purchased an extended warranty (worthless) from Assurant. It has malfunctioned since day 1. I made a few calls early on and gave up...Due to personal circumstances recently (divorce and unemployment), I needed to have my refrigerator working for my future sustenance. So before the warranty ran out, I started on this ridiculous journey of trying to get it fixed. It has turned into a nightmare. And from what I can gather, guess I am lucky my house didnt burn down from some defect LG knew about, as well as not to be dead from food poisoning.

The odor on my clothing and towels is absolutely offensive and I feel like everyone who comes close to me can notice it. I certainly hope that anyone who has a desire to purchase an LG front load washer reads all of these negative comments. I wiped out the inner rubber gasket. I could hardly get my finger inside of it and out came globs of black mold. I continue to run bleach through the machine as well as the fresheners that are recommended for front load washers. The odor still remains. I want my top load washer back, so I can return to Tide Mountain Spring detergent. My family was always complimented on how fresh our clothing smelled and I miss that! Shame on you, LG. You should be having a serious recall of all of these machines!

Our LG French door refrigerator stopped cooling as noticed on a Thursday evening. The next day, Friday, early in the morning, I tried to reach the LG call repair centre but I was put on hold. I waited holding the phone to my ear for about 10 minutes. Then I called Corbeil Appliances in Ottawa and I was told that I might have to wait on hold for at least a half hour. This is not acceptable. I did try calling the LG repair centre again throughout the morning but again I was put on hold. Then finally on that same Friday afternoon, someone answered at the LG call repair centre. I was then booked in for service the following Thursday which is about one week of waiting without a refrigerator to cool foods and medicines. This LG repair call centre and service is not acceptable. We have an extended warranty which fortunately was still in effect. The LG service technician was professional and repaired our LG refrigerator. He appreciated our frustration at trying to book an appointment to have our refrigerator repaired. In the future, I dont think I will consider buying another LG product as long as reviews re: booking a service repair, remain negative. I will also recommend to friends that they read the LG repair call centre reviews before they consider purchasing an LG product. Come on, LG product personnel, improve your LG repair call centre customer service!

Would you board an airplane knowing that when its electronics fail, there is no way the passenger door can be unlocked? This is exactly how the WT5070CW LG washer is engineered. Ours died a mere 4 years (!!!) after purchase - its electronic controller died in the middle of a wash cycle and left the brain dead machine with its door locked, with no manual way to unlock it, holding hostage a full load of wet laundry which has been rotting there for ten days, exuding a horrible smell! And, to add insult to injury, here is what happened when we ordered the part from LG (via Sears Parts Direct, order number **) and paid extra for expedited 2-day shipment: after 4 days we were informed that LG has not shipped yet, no reason given (the part should directly from their warehouse to home) and there is no guarantee when it will arrive. We purchased all new kitchen appliances just over 2 yrs ago in Dec 2013. 1st the microwave was delivered dented. They came in and ordered replacement parts which were delivered dented not once, not 2x, not 3x, but 4 times. Then the fridge/freezer stopped making ice, needed a part replaced. The range/oven door glass was developing uncleanable stains in between the front of the door and the inside of the door. Then the oven door started to have a weak seal causing the top of the door to become dangerously hot. My legs were burnt a couple of times when removing items from oven. The door was replaced. The dishwasher stopped working because of a clogged hose. After calling LG for help many times! They sent a tech. And the parts and labor were covered although out of warranty. 2 days later another part went on the dishwasher and again is not working. 1 day after the microwave is not working either!!! Seriously? I cant tell you how many phone calls it has taken to get some positive response from LG. Call after call there was always a reason why they could not help me at that moment and asked that I call back. The customer service is awful! I spoke with several hours, kept me on the phone from 15 to 20 min at a time and half the time they would not even record or take notes of the call! I have missed work and sleep over this and all they can say is we are sorry for the inconvenience. They have no clue. I want these appliances gone! And replaced with another brand. Why was my service declined? No one can say, but supposedly/hopefully the 2nd service center can accomplish what the 1st service center was unable to do - schedule a service appointment. Oh yea, I should receive a call back in 3-5 days from the 2nd service center. After 2 1/2 weeks of the runaround and lies from LG, I am done trying to have the dryer repaired under warranty. I am biting the bullet and calling a repair service to repair my 9-10 month old dryer out of my own pocket. I also would like to note that our case is not an isolated one. Within the first few months, the lettering on the face of the water dispenser had started to fade. By the end of the second year one of the plastic drawer covers had broken off (minimal use. No children in house.). Technician was back out the third year for icemaker. By February 2016 the fridge began making loud noises with on and off warm water, but was very minimum. With all the money already spent (did not purchase extended warranty as we had NEVER had problems with refrigerators in the past - other brand names), we had no energy left for this fridge. Then a couple days ago, no surprise, the entire thing quit with a loud bang. So heres the kicker. I called various service people on Monday. No one could come until Friday. Called LG and got hung up on once. Called back and after hold time, finally got to speak with someone who barely spoke English and was obviously reading from a script. He tried to troubleshoot with us over the phone then agreed that the fridge was dead. He provided 3 companies that they contract with to come out and look as the sealed system is under warranty for 7 years, some parts 10.So I proceeded to call these companies. One said he does not work on refrigerators, another said he will not touch this model number, and another kept hanging up on me. So I called another person I had initially spoken with. He still couldnt come out until Friday, but since the parts are under warranty, I would have to pay for labor which would be upwards of $400. And the best part of all is LGs policy as he explained - After the problem is diagnosed, I would have to call LG and get an authorization number, they would have to mail this to me for confirmation, then the parts would have to be ordered, then I would have to get on the schedule to have the repairs made. I am therefore without a fridge for close to a month. Debating to chuck it or go back to Whirlpool or KitchenAid. NEVER AGAIN will LG enter this house!

I bought LG refrigerator from Costco back in Feb 24 2016. It was 30 cubic feet and I paid almost $2700. Nightmare started couple of weeks ago and it is ongoing. Refrigerator stop cooling, I called lg. They told me to reset and wait for 8 hrs which I did. Nothing happened, called again. They said it suppose to be 24 hrs wait, I waited 24 hrs. Nothing happened, called back again. They send the lg technician. He said faulty compressor in that kind of fridge with tons of other complains. He said they will take 6 weeks or more to repair due to so many complaints and back order on compressor. We have a tiny refrigerator right now we are using as a backup, but it can only hold milk and butter, I called costco, explained my situation to Isaac one of the manager in Victorville store near my house, and ask him to make a exception returning it due to such a long time for repair and upcoming holidays, he consulted his superior and they declined to return, but he said he contacted lg and told them about the time frame for repair, lg told him they will try to find a repair shop which can repair it sooner.Oh by the way the lg technician told me that lg used plastic ring instead of metal in compressor to save few bucks. That ring melts quickly. Thats why they are having so many complaints, according to that lg technician compressor supposed to last for 10 years. I am still waiting the response from costco and lg. My advice to consumers not buy large appliances from costco due to their scam. 100% satisfaction guarantee policy which only cover for 90 day. It is ridiculous, also lg technical support is very unsupportive and their refrigerators are faulty, unless you would like to have a nightmare like I am going through.

My kitchen was filled with 2 LG appliances; a microwave, and a refrigerator
My kitchen was filled with 2 LG appliances; a microwave, and a refrigerator. I’ve had LG products in previous homes as well and although I’ve had to fix them from time to time they have been generally good products. So when it came time to purchase a dishwasher and a range oven I wanted to have a matching set so I went with the LG dishwasher and range oven.My refrigerator is 6 years old now and was not cooling down properly. I called your customer service line to see what could be done and they gave me the name and number of a local technician. I called and set up an appointment with Duncan Home Services. They diagnosed the problem as a faulty compressor. Although it was an inconvenience, I was pleased to remember there was a 10 year warranty on the linear compressors that were in my model of refrigerator (LFX28968ST/01). I called customer service on April 22nd of 2019 to see about getting the compressor replaced. 44 days later and 7 hours, 21 minutes and 42 seconds on the phone with customer support… I still do not have the correct replacement for my faulty compressor.I was given a case number of **. I will detail my dissatisfaction with your call support team later but here is a summation of the issue. In response to my request for a warranty replacement of the compressor, the Tech was sent a compressor with the model number of TCA35533604. This part was identified as a “backup replacement”. The Tech had installed one of these in another refrigerator they worked on just like mine and they knew it didn’t work. Therefore they would not install it and charge me the labor. They determined the correct part was TCA35893202. When they called to order that part they were told it is on backorder until early July.I don’t know if you’ve ever gone without a refrigerator for 2 months but when one is used to it being there, it is ridiculously inconvenient. The summation of what I determined from your customer support team was that I had 3 options that are policies that they say are set by you. 1: Wait another month for the part to come in. 2: I was offered 20% off a new LG refrigerator. 3: If I could produce the receipt then I could be given a new refrigerator. My problems with the above proposals are as follows: 1: I’ve already waited a month and cannot wait another month for a part that may or may not come in. I will be forced to purchase a new refrigerator from one of your competitors. 2: An equivalent replacement refrigerator will be another $2000 minimum. 20% of that is $400. I don’t have $1600 available to buy from a company that is doing a horrible job honoring their Warranty. As I said, I’d prefer to buy from someone else. 3: I know that the refrigerator was purchased at Lowes, I know that it was on or near Black Friday of 2013 but I do not have the original receipt from 6 years ago.I proposed 2 solutions to the problem, but the customer service supervisor said that she didn’t have authority to do either of the 2 options and only you did. I proposed the following: 1: Since the Tech determined that the compressor that LG sent was incorrect they would not Warranty their work. Since I have to pay labor for the installation as that is past the warranty period of 5 years, that is a problem. LG could warranty the work of their tech so I am not on the hook for when the part doesn’t work.2: The correct part (TCA35893202) is available through local appliance parts outlets and retails for around $279. LG could provide a voucher to the tech to purchase the part locally. This would be the quickest and most cost effective solution for all parties in my opinion. So if you could authorize my Option 2 promptly that would be fantastic. I am merely asking for a timely and correct replacement for a warrantied part. Now I spoke with at least 6 different supervisors. They are the 2nd tier of customer support. I have no issue with the first tier of support. They were all professional and as helpful as they could be and got me to the 2nd tier fairly quickly on seven of my ten calls. The 2nd tier of individuals however were the opposite. All I was given were first names so that is all I can provide. They were; Daniel, Brea, Jessie, Jem, Jessica, and Tyesha.Daniel: Daniel informed me that he would send an email to the parts guy Cyrus about the availability of TCA35893202 and he would call me back. That was early May and I never heard from him. Brea: She was generally pleasant but couldn’t help me any. She told me the tech would have to call the parts department to see if the correct compressor was available. (The tech did call and was told that the correct compressor was on backorder.) Jessie: Jessie appeared to be helpful and told me that he/she was going to send an email to Cyrus as well to see if the part was truly back-ordered. If it was, he/she could issue a replacement refrigerator (Which surprised me and I did not ask for.) He/she said I would get a phone call later… I did not, again. Jem: I’m not sure if I have the name right but she basically hung up on me and sent me back to the 1st tier people. They put me back through to the supervisors and I got Jessica. Jessica: I wasn’t particularly pleasant with Jessica as I was beyond frustration at this point. She responded by being extremely unhelpful and refused to walk through the notes of the previous 7 or 8 calls I had made. I told her what Jessie had said earlier about the replacement but she told me there was no Jessie in her office. She ended up telling me that TCA35893202 was NOT back-ordered and it was available but the tech had to order it. (The tech did call again to order it and was told that the part was still back-ordered.) I feel that I was blatantly lied to.Jessie: Imagine my surprise when I in fact got Jessie again despite Jessica telling me there was no Jessie. This time Jessie offered me the 20% off a replacement refrigerator. I told her that was not satisfactory, nor was the waiting until July for the part and that I could not produce a 6 year old receipt. She put me on hold… for a really long time until… Tyesha picked up the line and I got to re-explain everything to her. Tyesha: She just continually reiterated my 3 unsatisfactory options and told me there was nothing she could do and my only recourse was to write you a letter. So here I am. Should this situation not be remedied by my Option 2 listed above or a better idea you come up with yourself I will never be purchasing any LG product again. I will also never recommend an LG product to any family or friends. Although they are not particularly effective against your bottom line, these are my only options for recourse and I will pursue them endlessly. Thank you. Mark **

I called LG 4 times so far, its quite obvious they cannot fix it but they refuse to exchange it. Im at the point I just dont want it anymore, I just want my money back. What a waste of money. I purchased my LG Range in the hopes LG products would live up to the hype! In fact I bought all LG appliances. To my disappointment only the washer and dryer have lived up to my expectations. Anyways on to the range. My range was purchase in 2009 and the knobs became loose and wobbly by 2011. However, I kept using them until they completely broke off. After speaking with customer service and explaining the defect they reluctantly sent me out a brand new supposedly updated model of the knobs with the defect fix... WRONG!Fast forward to 2016 present day my knobs are loose, wobbly, and a couple have broken off. I called customer service and they tell me because they already sent out the updated knobs in 2014 they could no longer replace them. I explained it was a manufacturers defect and the knobs they sent out were the same defective knobs. The rep transferred me to Executive Services Corporate Office where I spoke to Jewel. She was very rude and short with me, continually stating Its our policy that we cant send out any more knobs and gave me the parts ordering department so I could pay for a set myself. She even went as far to blame me for the broken knobs saying that maybe I was using the oven wrong and she doesnt live in my house so she cant verify that Im telling the truth that the knobs are defective. She was cold and had no interest in hearing my side of the story. Basically she told me I need to eat the $150 cost of replacing the knobs every two years! Which clearly exceeds the cost of the range! She even hung up on me because I asked her questions she refused to answer because she knew it would expose LG as a fraudulent company that doesnt stand behind their product. I called back and spoke with Erica who was very nice and said she would forward the complaint. For now it looks like Ill have to eat the cost of the new set and repair the factory defect with a fix I found on YouTube which involves fitting a brass tube over the knob post. I hope we can win this battle against LG! Clearly the knob design is very poor engineering on LGs part or just too cheap to use aluminium instead of chrome plated plastic!

I purchased the LG washer in 2013 using recommendations from Consumer Reports. The washer ran constantly until I had to control the cycles. It reminded me of the wringer washer that my mother used in the 1950’s. I had to set a timer to remind me to reset the machine. I was not satisfied with the cleaning quality of the machine. Finally, in 2016, I gave up, gave the LG away and bought a Whirlpool, which has met my expectations for a quality machine.

Open till recently I was very happy with my LG refrigerator. Unit has always been great. Do you want to half years after me owning your own at the compressor went bad. I was very happy to hear that LG would replace it free of charge however I was not thrilled that it took so long to get a service appointment. I was almost a week without a refrigerator. Repair technicians came in. That’s where the real trouble started. The first time they said they didn’t have the right parts and it didn’t work so they left the refrigerator off for a number of days again while they were could get the right stuff to Complete the job. About a day after my refrigerator which finally running I called the repair company directly and told them that the unit was making load noise and vibrating. All my drinks were moving around on shelf but nonetheless I was happy to have a refrigerator again. Now it’s been 4 weeks with multiple phone calls to the repair company with no response to come out and rectify the issue. So now I turn back to LG to complain and to finally try to get someone out to fix this thing. An exceedingly long and painful process.

I purchased a model LFX8968 refrigerator from Home Depot. Within the first year I had to spend $170 to have a heating element put in the bottom of the unit so it would have frozen water build up in the freezer section (bottom drawer). For the last year and half, the French door which holds the ice maker leaks all over the floor, the ice reservoir melts all the ice cubes together and jams the ice dispenser. Home Depot will not stand behind the product and after hours with LG customer service, Ive given up. LG customer service has actually hung up on me three times and I was respectful - no yelling. Tell your friends and even your enemies not to buy a product with the label LG on it. Never have I been so disgusted and beaten down than working with Home Depot and LG.

It wont spin water out of the machine and my clothes were sopping wet. The replacement unit continued to have problems with spinning properly. Last week, I noticed that the rug in my basement (just outside laundry area) got completely soaked with water. After five days with fans constantly running, Ive started ripping up my carpet. LG Premium service - I called LG on my washer that was out of service warranty. The washer had flooded out of the front door seal. They transferred me to the department that dealt with out of warranty repairs. They dont mention you are not working with LG even though all correspondence has the LG logo on it. Silly me for thinking I was dealing with a reputable company. The one time service was simply wiping down the seal of the washer that eventually flooded the washroom a second time. I called and they returned with a new seal. Next day it flooded the room again. 2 days out of work and $300 for 2 more floods. I called and requested a refund for poorly executed services. Realizing my downtime out of work and paying for the service paid for a new washer. I received a reference number and was told I would receive a refund in 6 weeks or so. 2 months now, and 1 hour of calls, I was told that the case was reviewed and my services were delivered as contracted. No calls or notification that a ruling was made. 2 supervisors later today basically told me the same. Next call is to corporate. If you have been taken by Assurant, the number its 212-859-7000. Its not the $300 but the lack of customer service and QC by this company. DO NOT BUY A CONTRACT FROM THIS COMPANY!! I will never purchase an LG device or appliance if they associate with a company like this.

Placed 1/2 load of towels in washer, started machine, then went shopping. Upon return washer door was open, water was pouring out of the door, and the towels were all over the floor. Apparently, this happened soon after we left because the washroom was flooded, the hallway was flooded, the bedroom was flooded, and the basement had the equivalent of an inch of water everywhere, it had even streamed into the garage through the wall from the washroom. After calling LG we were told the machine was out of warranty and to call an LG repairman. He was not available for two weeks. After performing extensive diagnostics in conjunction with LG tech support, he was advised that the machine checked out in all respects, but that LG recommended replacing the main board and both inlet valves at a cost for parts of over $500 plus labor. We could use the machine, but recommended that we not leave the house. We have had a number of repairs to the machine for the door not locking and have expensive switches replaced. Over $500 in repairs in the first two years. Now the machine is 4 years old and they want more money (see above) for repairs. Consumer Reports currently rates LG as the top front loader. We cannot understand how this can be an honest report, because our experience with these products and with LG has been abysmal. We noticed that on searching for LG washer problems, we came across three other reports under Consumer Reviews describing exactly our problem. LG told its repairman they had no other reports of such a problem, which obviously was a direct lie since we found three on our first search. Our order number on this machine from Home Depot is ** It was paid for on 6/22/11, and delivered on 6/28/11.

Bought a Lg Refrigerator model #LMXS30776S. Production date 4-2015. Linear compressor failed and neither section will cool. All food went bad and I’m disabled on a fixed income. This is the second time this has failed on this exact refrigerator. Customer should not be responsible for any charges including labor because it is a flaw in the design and LG knows this and continues to manufacture “linear” compressors that they know have issues and have several lawsuits for. My refrigerator should be fixed free of any charges as it is their design flaw. I can not afford labor charges to fix this overpriced paperweight or sealed cupboard because that’s all it is good for now. Didn’t last more than 5 years with an already replaced compressor. Shame on LG not taking responsibility for their design flaws and putting the stress and costs on customers.

I purchased an LG electric range and refrigerator. An extended warranty was not purchased, as I didnt feel a $1400.00 range and $1700.00 refrigerator would require repairs in a 5-year period. The refrigerator has been problematic (leaks and broken plastic drawers), but it keeps the food cold. So well deal with the unsightly leaks and work to the best of our ability to keep our expensive wood floor dry. My current problem is my electric range. It quit working altogether, and by reading many complaints, the model is infamous for this breakdown. In speaking to LG customer service department, the only remedy she could offer is the name and number for the only repairman they have contracted in the Louisville area. An appointment was arranged with Universal Appliance, which was confirmed before I took 5 hours of unpaid time off from work. Needless to say, they did not show up. I was given an explanation and told they would be here before 10 am the following day (more unpaid time off work). It is 9:55 am and still no repairman. I am left with a non-working 2-year-old electric range and up to this point $150.00 pay deduction. I am disappointed in the sub-standard quality of my LG products and feel I have no recourse.

Purchased a LG 1.5 ft.³ smart inverter microwave oven in August 2019. Three weeks later the unit quit heating. I called LG customer support and was eventually told the magnetron was defective. I was told I could send the microwave back to LG and they would replace me with a brand new one. Not wanting to wait, I decided to return the microwave to Home Depot where it was purchased and was given a full refund. Because Home Depot‘s return policy includes a 90 day exchange or refund, I decided to purchase a different brand. The moral to this story is don’t wait on LG to refund, replace, or repair your appliance if it is newer than three months. Take it back to the store you bought it from instead. Far less stressful.

We loved this fridge for about the first 3 months. Then the optional second ice maker that we purchased would take a week to fill. We were told the air temp in AZ was too hot for the fridge to produce ice any faster!! Really, how stupid do you think we are? We have had at least 10 visits to repair this issue and now the upper part of the fridge is fluctuating from 30-42 degrees when set at 37. We are losing food to spoilage and freezing. We are paying for all the spoilage. The battle continues to have this fridge operate as it should. VERY VERY FRUSTRATING. I will not buy LG again.

I dont like the odor coming from the washer when you have the door closed too long, so I always leave it open when not in use. I look for capacity, energy efficiency, discounts, brand, quality. How fast they will come out and repair if it breaks down. I look for quality and price has to enter in on it. Most expensive is not always what I want. It may not have the features I want. We purchased a $3000 LG refrigerator in August of 2015, Model LFXS30726S, and it is a horrible design. It fails completely every 16 weeks. The fridge seems really nice, but 4 months later, it failed on Christmas Day. Frost builds up around the fan and doesnt properly defrost, causing it to fail. LG serviced the unit for the first 2 Failures, and now it has failed again. 3 times in 14 months. Lucky for LG, their warranty is for 1 year, and now they will not service or repair the defective unit. This design was flawed from day 1! It just takes 4 months for the fan to wear out. And each time we have to borrow a spare fridge, move all of our food, and wait for service. They even had a service bulletin regarding this issue, and so they replaced the back inside panel which was supposed to fix the problem. Guess what... it did not help at all. DO NOT BUY LG Refrigerators! THEY EITHER DONT KNOW HOW TO DESIGN PROPERLY, OR THEY DONT TEST THEM. I am filing a complaint with the Dept of Trade and Consumer Protection, under the grounds that the fridge did not live up to its intended purpose: Keeping food cold.

We are extremely dissatisfied with LGs customer service and lack of commitment to honoring its product warranty. We gave the experience a one star rating as it was the lowest option in order to continue this review, but we would assign a negative rating if that was an option. We bought an entire suite of LG kitchen appliances in 2013. The fridge stopped cooling at the beginning of May, 2019. Since that time, we have paid for service calls by two different repair companies and have made numerous phone calls to LG in an attempt to resolve this problem. LG has agreed that the parts are covered under warranty, but they no longer carry one of the parts (an evaporator). One of their representatives advised us that we could have them try and obtain the part from a third party or file an appeal for a defective unit. After determining that the part through the third party was on backorder and would take at least three weeks to obtain, with no guarantee as to an exact delivery date, we elected to file the appeal. At that point, we had been without a refrigerator for over a month, Several more weeks have gone by. Despite assurances from LG that we would be contacted, we had to call them multiple times for a status update and had to submit the appeal more than once. When we called a few days ago to once again to determine the status of our appeal, we were advised that it had been rejected the week prior (again, nobody from LG contacted us). They claim the appeal was rejected because the part is available through the third party (even though is is on backorder for at least another three weeks). We are fed up with this whole process! We never expected to have to replace a refrigerator that is just 6 1/2 years old - our prior refrigerators each lasted over 20 years. We were hoping that since LG no longer carries the parts necessary to honor their warranty, they would honor a defective unit appeal with at least some type of discounted price on a replacement refrigerator. In researching this issue on the internet, we have seen numerous complaints about LG refrigerators with faulty compressors and poor customer service from LG in attempting to get the problem resolved. Think twice before purchasing a product from LG... We will certainly never buy anything else manufactured by this company.

LG dishwasher stopped working after 6 weeks-refusing to replace. Purchased
LG dishwasher stopped working after 6 weeks-refusing to replace. Purchased dishwasher 7/1/21, delivered 8/10/21. Started leaking at top of door end of October. LG authorized service center made 3 visits between beginning of November and beginning of December. The unit was pulled out and re installed with each visit. Door gasket changed, door lock latch replaced. Unit then developed leak from bottom of door and AE leak code that makes unit beep until power is hit off at the electrical panel. LG then sent out their regional “expert.” He determined a crack in the door panel liner. He also scratched up the control panel during his repairs. He stated that when he finally got a new door liner, that 3 others had been sent to him with damage. They also sent the wrong control panel replacement. The tech, named Jude, called LG with me standing next to him and told them unit continues to leak and is unrepairable. He did a live video with the LG techs showing them the leak and another crack he found in the door. After many emails, texts, phone calls, LG is refusing to refund/replace saying damage was due to incorrect installation of unit. This determination was made after 6 service visits in which the dishwasher was taken in and out each time by an LG authorized service person. It was never noted or mentioned to me the consumer that there was an install issue at any of these service appointments. Nor did their expert say that to LG when he spoke to them In front of me. If it was truly damage caused by installation why did LG pay for 6 service calls? Wouldn’t that have been noted after the first visit ? I now have a new piece of junk that worked for 6 weeks and had been non functional since 10/30, when I made the call for service. LG has offered me 20% off a new dishwasher. Why would I buy another LG product after this experience? The least they could do is provide me a replacement unit if they won’t give a refund.

Update on 06/11/2020: It is now June 11th and there still is no resolve even though my original review states there is a resolution in process. It is true that LG reached out to me as shown below however, I responded to them and I have heard nothing back. As far as Im concerned, this reaching out with a form e-mail is just more of the same. If I could give LG zero stars I would.Original Review: I have a top of the line washer that is still under warranty that will not run. I called LG on 5/30 and it was determined by them someone needed to come to my home. I was assigned to a second rate authorized agent that operates out of his home. I called this agent on 6/2 because I never heard from them during the 24-48 business hour time frame. (It was at this point that I did some research on who they were and found bad reviews for them.) To make a very long story short I was promised on 6/2 that a reputable company I found would be assigned to me and it would be 24-48 hours before Id hear. I found this company on LGs website as an authorized service agent and when I called them directly, they informed me they were available to come out the next day if LG would assign it to them. As I said, LG promised this would be done. When I heard nothing, I called them once again on 6/4. I spoke with a very nice rep (her name was Jess) who transferred me to executive services and I was told by that lady that the company I requested had no availability. I informed her that I had been told they would be able to come out the following day if LG would assign it to them and this is what was supposed to be being done. When I asked her to hold for a minute, I placed a call to the company I requested and as I began leaving a message as to what I had been told by LG, the LG executive services lady hung up on me. She was able to hear me leaving this message as I was using a separate phone line. So, this morning I called the authorized agent and told them what I had been told (that they had no availability) and I was told that simply was not true. So, I called LG back and this time I was told by the authorized agent I spoke with didnt have an open contract with them and they couldnt be assigned to me. Finally, the truth! In other words, they didnt have a negotiated rate with LG, much like it is with HMO Insurance. At any rate, he contacted the authorized to see if they would agree to make my repair with just an order # and they agreed they would, however, LG has to send them the amount they are willing to pay and if the authorized agent agrees to it they will do the repair and if not, we are back to square one. So, they have till Monday (6/8) to get back with me however, they will only be contacting me if its a go. If not, I have to call them back and start all over. I have a feeling I will be calling them back to start at square one. LIFE certainly isnt GOOD! I purchased this machine based on Consumer Reports testing and we were just about to buy an LG Smart TV and soundbar because they also have a very high rating. But there is no way we are going to based solely on the fact that they have horrible customer service!

Like Nate of Duarte, CA wrote on March 26, 2014 -- by end of 2006 purchased LG LFC25760ST. Had the same issue with the light fixture housing in the refrigerator compartment header, not once but twice. My photos look exactly like his. Last service they replaced the entire electronic board and installed a new light fixture housing also recommending use of lower watt (40 watt) bulbs. This occurred Aug. 2012. At the time I stated I was concerned about possible impact whatever lies above the refrigerator header (refrigerant tubes?). It appeared the plastic header was melted completely through in at least 3 locations. Now I have refrigerant smell in the refrigerator. Service call is tomorrow, so well see what happens but suspect cost to address what I believe are issues with the refrigerant system may be so exorbitant that it may be more prudent to replace after a bit over 8 years than to repair. I dont understand how this fire hazard can be so prevalent for so many years and nothing appears to have been done. If there is a class action suit, I will gladly participate, as this refrigerator is in my opinion, a fire hazard at the very least.

I like that the features are easy to use. The refrigerator helps a lot. It does more than my last one did and is more stable. My whole family loves it and I dont know why I would do if I had the old one still til this day. All features are great and it was within my budget and we really needed it. The last one is just so old and is about to finally break on us but this one isnt and we will have it for at least 6 years. The LG brand is the best refrigerator. I also like Samsung but LG is more popular and has the better reviews and the most likes so I see why people recommend it and Im glad I got it for the family. It was the best decision I ever made for a the best price I could ever get it oils really awesome in my house.

Fridge stopped cooling so we called LG on July 23. They made an appt for their service contractor Lake Appliance on Friday July 26. I called Lake to inquire if they had parts and they said they have typical parts on the truck. When they arrived, Lakes service technician checked and confirmed it wasnt working, and that they needed a part which wouldnt be there until the following Friday Aug 2. On Aug 2 he installed the part and did some other work to clear out the cooling system, but 24 hrs later it was not cooling at all. Room temperature. He said that they would need to get a new evaporator coil which would take a week, so we would need to wait until Monday Aug 12. I called Lake to see what could be done, they said there was nothing they could do -- they need the part and to get the technician scheduled. Called LG next day (Sat) to see what could be done, they said nothing could be done. I asked the LG rep for a manager and they said the manager was in a meeting and would call me back in about 45 minutes. I finally called them 2.5 hrs later (they never called) and was informed that there is no manager working that day at all, they only work Mon-Fri. I told them that was odd, that there is no supervisor working that day at all, because earlier they told me the manager would call me back. So, here we are on Mon Aug 12 and Lakes technician called in sick. So I need to wait until Fri Aug 16 now. 3-1/2 weeks without a fridge, and I am not convinced that replacing the evap coil will fix the problem. Extremely disappointed in LG and their service company. First LG fridge I have purchased and expected better.

I purchased an LG Front Load Washer (model:WM2688HWM) on 8/19/06 from Best Buy, for $1,349.99, plus pedestal for $179, 2-pack of hoses for $26.99=$1,555.98 plus $101.14 for tax. My total payment was $1,657.12. In addition, we purchased the 5 year service plan from Best Buy for $199.99. Our total investment was $1,857.11. The unit was delivered on 9/15/06. Exactly 5 years and one month after delivery and 1st use in 2006, on 10/15/2011, our machine flashed tE on the display, and we could not use the machine, and we were out of warranty by 1 month. An authorized LG technician was called, and he came out, ordered a new thermostat, and replaced it on 10/24/11. 3 weeks later, on 11/18/11, the machine stopped, and again flashed tE on the display panel. The technician was not able to come out right away, so a new thermostat was installed on 12/3/11. On 1/31/2012, the machine flashed tE, is not working, and again I am waiting for the Authorized Technician to come. I called LG Customer Service this morning, (1-800-243-0000). The rep I spoke to was very nice, but could only give the answers he is trained to give. I then spoke to a very nice supervisor, who was also well trained to give non-helpful answers to the consumers. My first washer lasted 22 years, and it was not an LG. I never had a service call for a thermostat problem on that washer, but did replace it once on the dryer. At that time we were a family of 6. The children played sports. We did a lot of laundry, but the machine was made well, and I paid a fair price for a product that was predicted to last 20 years, but lasted longer. With all the laundry we did, I would have been thrilled had it lasted only 15. This LG has cost much more money. Our youngest was a senior in high school, and then left for college when we bought it, so basically I have done laundry for my husband and I, who dont get terribly dirty, and the machine was used 2 or 3 times a week. The repair man is now here, and the new thermostat he has installed is still flashing tE. He said he has spoken to the company, and was told that the problem could not possibly be the main board, that it has to be the thermostat. He is on the phone with them now. I will pay for another service call today, but as soon as I send this email, I am going to start researching and determine what washing machines have a better service record. I have been told that LG has such great technology, but what benefit is good technology, if it cannot be incorporated into a product that will work for a reasonable length of time?

We purchased an LG microwave in December 2012. We have had nothing but problems with said appliance. If you put negative comments on their website, they cut you off. We currently have no microwave because it stopped working again and the earliest someone can come is September 16, 2013. You can be assured that we will never purchase an LG appliance again.

We bought all new higher end LG appliances. Dishwasher, range, refrigerator, and microwave. Fridge had a catastrophic failure at just over one year, luckily we bought the extended warranty. Then the ice maker died at about year 4. The micro broke in the first year (under warranty) and again at about year 3, (I was able to fix). The dishwashers rack rusted out at about year 2, again warranty and then the dishwasher just died at year 5 and may be too expensive to repair. The range has been problem free. The entire line of appliances appears to be inferior with regular breakdowns. Now that we are out of warranty we will replacing with different brands as things continue to die. All in all we are very dissatisfied and will never buy LG again.

We have had this refrigerator for 5 years now. We have had no issues over that time. It does a decent job of keeping food cold in every section. It has a large bottom freezer that holds a large amount of food. The ice maker has been flawless as well.

Had the fridge for 2 years and apparently the inverter linear compressor has gone out on it. It is sitting in our living room getting ready to dismantle and throw out. It is outside the warranty and we cant even get our hands on purchasing a compressor to fix it ourselves. Waste of money. Its too bad that LG has gone downhill because we previously had an LG fridge that is over 13 years old and is still working just fine in our garage. LG never again.
