LG Customer care is a big hogwash. They are fooling consumers. They simply phone and hung up. This problem has been continuing since December 2020. Despite owning LG machine which is under warranty, washing clothes by hand as new machine is underperforming. Pls be careful before purchasing the product. Defective product profile.

We bought our first LG refrigerator three years ago after studying online reviews (not customer reviews, quality reviews) that convinced us LG was making the best appliances available. Those reviews were dead wrong. Our refrigerator made very loud vibrating noise immediately. We had a service person come out within the first two weeks. He ordered a replacement part and came out again several weeks later to install. That “fix” failed. It became increasingly difficult to get LG to respond to our concerns. After a year of complaining pointlessly to LG we went back to the retailer whose immediately agreed to replace the refrigerator, to our pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, we made the mistake of accepting a new LG refrigerator on the assumption that our first LG was merely an unaccountable lemon.Wrong. The second LG has been nearly as loud as the first albeit the noise did not start immediately. The vibration built up over time and is now every bit as loud as the first. In reading the customer reviews now, it is apparent that our experience is similar to many others. Poor quality components, extremely poor service, no follow-up. I will never buy another LG appliance and will likely replace this one before we experience some of the leaking and lack of cooling that others have experience. Very disappointed.

Buyer beware!!! LG Appliances are horrible!!! I recently remodeled my whole kitchen and liked the way the black stainless steel appliances looked. I’m usually a Maytag fan but they didn’t carry the black stainless steel so I went with LG. HUGE mistake!!! The dishwasher is junk in less than 3 months. The dishwasher needed a whole new power board. After dealing with customer service and getting the runaround I finally had my dishwasher fixed after 3 weeks of non use. Now here it is 6 months later I’m having the same problem. This time customer service is worse. They sent the work order to 3 different places that don’t come to my area, spent hours on the phone and I’m already 2 weeks without a dishwasher and still dealing with this problem. This is a thousand dollar hunk of junk! That’s not the only problem the 3rd rack is useless, it doesn’t dry your dishes, it takes 2 hours to complete a load and everything is still wet, the tines are flimsy and always fall over causing you to break dishes at times, it’s always humid inside the dishwasher that creates an odor all the time and I pre rinse my dishes and clean the trap regularly. I have nothing nice to say about it except that it’s nice to look at and it’s quiet. Especially now because it doesn’t work! If you value the opinion of others and the reviews you read do not buy LG! I’m already Experiencing problems with my stove and my fridge has dents in it from just regular use. It’s like it’s made out of putty you look at it and it dents. LG should stick to making TVs. I’m highly disappointed and can’t wait to replace all of my appliances with Maytag!

7 years ago (nov 2007) we bought a top of the line LG front loading washer
7 years ago (nov 2007) we bought a top of the line LG front loading washer dryer pair on sale for $2936.40 (TROMM STEAM HM2688HWM).. Though never really happy with the cleaning performance -- especially on towels and bedding we finally compromised on using bleach and oxy clean on everything to increase the cleaning efficiency, always used steam, and sent everything else out. Our laundry bill is about $200 a month for a family of three. Additionally we have had to cut back on load size as it doesnt do a good job cleaning if loaded up to anywhere near capacity.Like disappointed we also did a lot of research different brands and found LG was very highly-rated. Obviously they dont include the total life cycle reviews as the feedback on LG would be enough to scare you off ever buying one. LG has failed to take notice of and correct some serious design flaws with their washer and now we have a machine that cannot be fixed because the aluminum door hinges (attached with steel screws to the steel frame) are so corroded from leakage from the additive drawer that after 4 hours the service guy was unable to remove the 6 screws using hand tools, rust sprays, and impact drivers. He just left after letting us know its un-repairable”. The response from LG-- THEY will send an LG technician -- sorry LG wouldnt provide us a contact number -- so no idea what firm -- if its different than the licensed guys they sent last time? To re-assess the licensed LG service guys finding -- at the cost of another $89 USD payable once again by me. After which if he is unable to remove the door hinges we will get a review from second level (see comments disappointed and others on successful outcome from second level -- e.g. slim and None). As an Engineer and vintage car guy, I could potentially drill out the corroded screws holding the door hinges in place and then use larger metal screws with an LG replacement hinge but that is a big job and may not succeed using OEM equipment. The root cause of the corrosion is clearly due to the gap between the additive tray housing and the front plastic cover allowing leakage from the tray to pour down on the hinges, and sheet metal causing rust, corrosion and other issues like Mould/ Mold and mildew in areas you cant really get in to clean or dry out. Frankly its a poor design and has been for some time, the 2014 units have the same flaw. The service folks I polled said the best fix would be to run a bead of silicon on the gap between tray housing and front panel.. would have been good to know 6 years ago. Actually what they said was never buy LG washers as they are prone to problems -- though the service manager said it keep them very busy. How LG CANNOT notice is a mystery. This problem and other design issues for LG washers have been covered on so many blogs and complaint bulletin boards. Perhaps the design team in Korea ignores English postings or is so worried about their war with Samsung that they cant be bothered about consumers and life cycle reliability or even simple fixes like the silicon in the gap. .Be warned when measuring cleaning, these Review labs use much different yardsticks than the rest of us... this is power per cycle with little real world understanding of what clean means to consumers. When you have to wash things twice or more, triple the chemical additives, and use smaller than typical loads to get things clean and avoid mildewy smells in fresh towels there isnt really any savings. Wonder if there is a back door arrangement with the guys (Proctor Gamble others) who make washing additives, as it certainly requires much more additives than any top loader I have had all in the name of HE-High efficiency.Who wants to be flooded out of their second floor laundry room by door leaks. Now I know why in Europe they always had the washer in the bathroom -- oh yeah a floor drain!! Foolishly I thought that sold in America they would have fixed some of the hereditary issues from Europe.. Not really! If you dont mind giving your clothes two washings loaded up with chemicals, having to introduce scent additives in both washer and dryer with sheets and tablets, and the inevitable quadruple maintenance and cleaning, then looks like LG front loaders are for you! Though for my mind all the savings in electricity go out the window when compared to redundant cycles, massive chemical and additive costs, and excessive maintenance.. HE seems a little more like HYPED (false) ECONOMY than high efficiency..WE WILL SEE IF LG REPLACE THE MACHINE AS SUGGESTED BY THE LADY FROM MANILA THAT ANSWERS THE 24 HOUR SERVICE LINE. . BUT LIKE DISAPPOINTED IM NOT EXPECTING MUCH. Nor should you!

Purchased and LG LFXS32726S a year and a half ago. 6 months after the warranty expiration (of course) it breaks down. Refrigerator stopped cooling but the freezer still works. If I paid for an extended service plan, ($500 or so per year) I could have a tech come out the next day. I called a local repair company who came out and said that the compressor had a small leak and that I should call LG since the part would still be under warranty. I contacted LG who then scheduled an appointment for 4 days later even though with a service plan I could of gotten service the next day. Service tech texted he was on his way, my daughter was home and did not hear him knocking. He never texted me to state he was outside. Just left. I texted him numerous times to see what his progress of arrival was and no response, I called various times and left messages and no response.I contacted LG customer service who said my ticket was still open (at 10:00 am, tech we found out had come over at 8:34 in the morning). Waited longer and then was told at noon that the call was cancelled because he could not reach me. Funny his first text came in just fine to let me know he was on his way and when I had not heard from him and contacted him numerous times there were only crickets to be heard. Called LG customer service and was given the runaround. First I was given a number to follow up with that was supposed to be where the LG tech was being dispatched from. Called the company, this was a one man show with no employees who did not have a work order sent to him for our repair. Waste of time and aggravation there. Then with 20+ minute wait times on additional calls to customer service to just be told, call this company and see if they can help, we have no appointments available this week to reschedule you and when I asked for a supervisor... 40 minutes later I finally got one. My daughter in the mean time Contacted LG on Twitter and was given phone numbers of repair companies to call. Great customer service right? Here we are a week later with no diagnosis still and now as I am reading many more people are having the same problems. Finally got the repairman to contact me after speaking to the supervisor which was promising and he apologized and stated it must of been a problem with his phone and that he would be there first thing before 8:00 am the next morning. I personally waited for him and called him when he was late. He returned the call after 9:00 am to state he had family problems but was on his way.He then shows up just to tell me that the fan was frozen and we needed to disconnect the refrigerator and let it defrost. Hmmm when I checked online someone had the same errors and mentioned that it was a refrigerator fan that needed to be replaced so I spoke to my husband and daughter who had by then made a secondary appointment with another LG tech because we were not sure this one was going to show up after yesterdays fiasco. Lo and behold we got a third opinion, they agree with our diagnosis and changed the fan and now it is working again. One week and $429.63 out of pocket later so far (btw found fan only cost $80.00 online but we did not know how to install) hopefully this fan will last another year and a half so we can get money to buy a new NON LG refrigerator to replace this one! NEVER again will we purchase an LG product. I really thought I was getting quality and value for my money and now we have learned to do even more research before buying pricey appliances like this in our future.

Think twice before buying a washing machine or any LG product!!! I got this
Think twice before buying a washing machine or any LG product!!! I got this machine back in the summer of 2011. It seemed to be a great product and you had the ability to washing extremely large loads of laundry at a time. But once something goes wrong then you are in trouble! The washing machine began throwing an error code nonstop during a laundry cycle which made doing a single load of laundry next to impossible. It would take me 3-4 hours to do ONE SINGLE LOAD due to the error code. It constantly kept refilling the tub with water and attempting to continue the cycle then it would knock itself off balance and start all over again. Finally I had enough and called LG to see what the issue was. Talk about an awful customer service. I could barely understand the person and finally was able to get that there was a recall which was a software update from what the person had said and that they would contact a technician around my area to come service the machine (do the software update). That was fine by me and so I waited around to hear from the technician. A few days later I got a call from the technician in my area and they said that LG had contacted them and once they received the part they would come out and fix it. How in the world I went from needing a software update to ordered a part when no one had even come and looked at the washer was beyond me but I simply said ok and went about my day. Here is when my nightmare with LG really began. The part apparently was on back order and they told me after going a month without being able to use the machine that the part would be in within the next few weeks. After the date they had given me was passed I decided to call them back to find out what in the world was going on which they would only reply saying that the part wouldnt be in until the end of the next month. Im sorry but I cant go without a washing machine for over a month and they wanted me to go without one for over 2 months?!! To make this story short after getting absolutely nowhere with their terrible customer service I ended up making a phone call to Sears who did have the part and sent it out to me that same day. I got the part and was able to get my washer fixed (hopefully for good fingers crossed). LG was not pleased that I got the part from another source and tried to convince me to cancel the order by stating that it could be the wrong part even though it was the same part that they claimed was the issue for the machine not working in the first place. Since I refused to cancel the order and wait on them to decide when they wanted to ship the part out, they refused to reimburse me for the part and were very rude. Please do some research before deciding on purchasing ANY PRODUCT from LG. I have dealt with plenty of customer service centers and this is by far the worst service center ever! The people you get connected to are nothing but rude and not one bit helpful if you have an issue with a product (especially washing machines!). They should really change their slogan from Lifes Good to Lifes Greedy because that is exactly what this company is! This washing machine is total junk and I ended up spending a lot of money (on top of the cost of the washing machine) to fix this piece of crap that is truly not all that old. The parts for this machine are apparently always on back order and next to impossible to get to fix these junky products. I have had multiple places tell me that they no longer service LG appliances because it is too difficult to get the parts to work on them and that LG is a difficult company to work with and I sure learned my lesson after having to deal with them multiple times! They do not care about their customers like they claim and have no problem making junky appliances and putting ridiculous price tags on them. I wish that I would have did even a quick search about the products before I had purchased this machine but I now know for future reference and will not be making the same mistake again. I recommend buying a different brand and staying away from LG!!! It will save you money and stress I promise!!!

LG TOP LOADER WT4970CW. This set was $1200 on sale and should have just bought a cheap one. It took me literally from 7am to 5 to wash a load because of off balance issues. Then it still wasnt done, clothes smelled like mildew so I emptied the washer and boxed it back up and returned it. I dont have time to babysit. DO NOT BUY THIS! Bought from Menards in Columbus, Indiana. I called LG at the request of Menards, just to find out that these issues are not uncommon.

We bought this washing machine from Pacific Sales in March of 2011. I leave the door opened after washing. I dry the inside after each wash! I clean the filter at least once a week. The water coming from the filter is rancid. There is mold continually growing on the inside of the rim of the tank. The machine smells like mold, even a week after using the sanitize function with vinegar. I have called LG so many times I cant even keep track anymore. Each time they say have you called before? Are you kidding? They know my name and number from the number I dial from but dont know that I have called before? This is the worst service I have ever received. Bottom line.. I will never buy anything from LG ever again.

When we built a custom home two years ago we thought we researched for the best front load washer available for our laundry room at the time. My wife and I decided that Consumer Report would be the best reference point. DO NOT GET LED DOWN THIS PATH. We purchased the Front Load LG WM8000HVA. After a year our clothes started to smell so we ran some cycles with bleach, then vinegar, then AFFRESH. Nothing helped... NOTHING.Just go online and see thousands of reviews for front load washers. I dont think it is just the LG. I think it is a problem for all front loads. My wife has a great nose and with that comes a lot of complaining. The solution was difficult but easy: I bought a new $1200 LG WT7600KKA yesterday from Best Buys in Louisville, KY. Giving our current front load to charity.

This machine rarely gets my clothes clean. It does not seem to have enough water to really clean. The worst part is the mold and mildew on the rubber seal and drum that is impossible to clean. I do use the tub clean, vinegar, and bleach but still have brown slime covering my clothes and bedding. I think it has made my husband and I sick from the mold and mildew that we cannot get to and clean. We are told to leave the door open so it can dry! Why would a machine be made that you have to leave the door open (which we do) and have to constantly clean. It still does not help. I would not recommend the LG front loader.

We bought an LG Refrigerator LFX31925ST/05 about 1 1/2 years ago for about $2300 and it has been a nightmare. A few weeks after we bought it we started having problems with the ice maker/dispenser. The ice would thaw then freeze in the storage compartment in the door. So ice would not come out the dispenser. We continued to have the problem so had an LG recommended repairman come try to fix it. The first repair did not work. A few calls later and a different repairman and we find out there is a class action lawsuit for the ice maker and we eventually got it replaced. Now, at the age of 1-1/2 years we had the air circulating fan go out. Error code ER rf. Not covered under the 1-yr. warranty. It took the LG recommended repair man 10 days to replace the motor since it was on back order. We agreed to pay him once we were sure it was working. He left angrily. A half hour after he left, the error code was up again and the fan was not running! After we called and complained, the repair man figured it must be the circuit board. A week later, with a refrigerator that is warm on top and freezes on the bottom, we still have not yet had the board replaced. Maybe we can wait for another class action lawsuit. LG refuses to extend common courtesy and replace the parts without charge. We are looking at about $350 of labor and parts for a fridge that is 1 1/2 years old! On top of that, the stainless steel scratches very easily so be careful. Worst appliance Ive ever purchased!

We bought an LG front loading high efficiency washer a few years ago and it has been nothing but trouble. The maintenance required for routine use is more than one would expect for an appliance such as a washing machine. The machine routinely soils and streaks clothes and has ruined countless garments despite the suggested tub cleaning, wiping down, and costly extra tub cleaner. Additionally, the washer often leaks soapy water into the floor despite the use of HE detergent, meticulous measuring of detergent so as not to overfill. Now I must wash only small loads to keep leakage to a minimum--one of the big selling points was the ability to efficiently do large loads. Over recent days, I have had consistent leaking. I suspect we may have water damage below the floor, but no visible staining of the lower ceiling as of yet. I am constantly washing towels that I have to use to clean up the mess from routine use of the appliance. This product is a lemon. There should be some sort of buy back or trade in for some other, more useful washing machine.

Called the service immediately, however they were not willing to come, advised to try a couple of weeks. As the problem continued called the service again (March 15, booked an appointment for the 19th, sent the requested photos of the model and also included the picture of unbaked food. Called on 18th to confirm the date for next day, to my surprise service was not booked at all. They booked it again for the 20th and followed with the confirmation email with the phone # off the technician. I took day off and am waiting, called at noon to inquire when the tech is coming to discover that service not booked at all. Called the LG CS to be told that they did not have available technician in my area for today.

We purchased the LG French Door Refrigerator a few years ago and honestly has been nothing but problems and issues since the purchase. From the beginning, several parts (plastic door holders) starting falling off and breaking. We have had repair people out multiple times in the past few years (including again today). The refrigerator often freezes items and the freezer does not freeze (yes this is somewhat ironic). The freezer door is currently broken and ice maker is hanging down. Also, LG customer has been very difficult to work with, one of the most difficult appliance and customer service experiences I have ever had. If given another opportunity, we would not buy another LG fridge. I hope this is helpful and saves future buyers the challenging experience we have had with this fridge.

I have never written a review before but this issue has me so angry I felt
I have never written a review before but this issue has me so angry I felt the need. Our fridge is 2 years old. We wanted the best for our brand new kitchen... So sadly ALL MY APPLIANCES (WASHER AND DRYER INCLUDED) ARE LG!!! I wish I had my money back. I started talking to LG about my issues in mid-July. I was given two service people in my area to work on my fridge, which was at that time freezing all the crispers to the point I can keep nothing there. The fridge is 60m degrees, crispers at 20, chilling drawer at 20-30, depending on its mood that day and the freezer is holding at 0. One repairman came, talked to tech services and was told then there was a service bulletin on this model. He followed the techs advice and order a new board and a seal. (Customer service lied to me and said there was no service bulletin... told them my husband saw it and read it so they were lying about that!!!)Waited a week for the part. He installed and left. That evening the same error showed up in the screen... E rF... again! Tech support had told him this meant a fan error. He comes back to then tell me TS wants me to shut down the fridge for 24 hours so it can reset, which means you are really without a unit for 48 hours as it takes 24 for it to reach correct cooling temp. So we follow their request and start life out of a cooler. That seems like a very long time ago... Needless to say, the shutdown did not work. The error returned, servicemen refused to come back so I called the other name given to me. He flat out refused to come, stating he had one just like it in his shop that LG (the largest appliance company in the world), could not tell him how to fix, and he wasnt going to get stiffed by them for his effort.I have spoken to LG several times and am currently without a fridge, have a $341 bill for the misplaced efforts on repair attempt, and am waiting another 7-10 days until they decide to let me know if they will fix or replace. I can only assume from what I have learned that LG has a product with such a problem in multiple systems that they have NO IDEA how to fix and can only hope we will give up and just go spend another $3000-$4000 on a new one!!! I have lost hundreds of $$$ in food and expense of eating out because of this. I do not plan on giving up... I plan on turning them over to the Better Business Bureau and contacting a Lemon Law lawyer. I can totally understand that at times things dont work as designed but to tell customers they dont know what you expect is not acceptable to me. They have lost a very good customer over this whole issue. Add up in your heads, LG management, how much your top of the line appliances cost for a new kitchen and laundry room and tell me how many customers you can tick off before you wake up!!!

It was new and we needed a new one and the other one wasnt keeping the food cold. This led us to buy another one. However, we had to shop around to find the right prince and the right features. It wasnt an easy task. Simple things like the space and the defrost feature make the fridge helpful and low maintenance. Its easy to clean as well. Mostly, it was an affordable option for our current situation and we were able to purchase the warranty as well. But I dont like how short the shelves are and the fact that the butter falls out when I open the door. The shelves arent. The shelves also have limitations as to how deep they are and how far they go back. This makes it hard to shop for foods that come in different packaging all enough to accommodate the drinks.

We bought an LG freezer on the bottom french door refrigerator a couple of years ago. One year later, the computer board went out. It wasnt in the warranty. We had to pay for a new computer board. We had to spend a great deal of money for ice in the ice chest to keep things from spoiling. That went on for 3 weeks until the new board arrived. The LG stopped working again soon after. We had to buy a new one, this time, a Maytag. It was bought Oct. 28 and today, the freezer stopped working. Now it has started up again. Very strange. We had given our 15 year old Whirlpool refrigerator to our daughter when we bought the LG and that old Whirlpool is still working like a charm. Thats because it has no computer board on the back! Why on earth do name brand companies compromise their name by manufacturing these inferior products now and use a computer board? They take no pride in their name. Their refrigerators are made in Korea, not the US, and are made to be disposable. Never mind the expense to the consumer. Can anyone tell me why there has to be computer boards to run a refrigerator? They are never reliable. I would love to bring a class action lawsuit to manufacturers of these appliances and computer boards, but dont know where to start. I am sure everything is made in Korea. Shame on all those manufacturers!

LG TrueBalance top loading washer - The machine is a headache. It shakes violently, UE is a constant, the area around the bleach portal is rusted and I dont even use bleach! Like the other reviews before me, unless I am sitting by the machine, it takes 3 hours + to do one load of wash. We did call LG and they basically said, The warranty was up and you are on your own. Miserable piece of machinery... never again.

I have had a horrible experience with LG and will never buy another LG product. About 8 months ago I bought as beautiful electric range with the purple/blue oven that self cleans at a low temperature. The stove is still working great but I noticed that the enamel in the oven is just flaking off and where the racks are the enamel failed and popped off.I called LG since the oven is still under warranty and was told that this defect is cosmetic and that I would have to pay for parts and labor to have it repaired. Enamel serves a function in an oven, it protects the metal from oxidizing and protects the oven from heat and food that would be absorbed without enamel. I explained to the agent that this is a functional defect and not cosmetic and got nowhere with LG. They just dont care about their customers at all. I am a manager for a call center and could not believe the response I received on this issue and the attitude of the agent. I was fuming after this experience and wrote an e-mail to corporate explaining what happened and explained that if I do not receive a reply within a reasonable amount of time I will escalate or take action in another manner.I never did get a response so I spoke with the manager of Home Depot and showed them pictures and explained the bad experience that I had. This the manager picked up the phone and called LG and Explained the issue and added that the popping porcelain is also a health issue and being a convection oven is getting blown around. She got the same crap from them that I did. Other employees came over to see what was going on as this manager was fuming and stating that they have never ever seen a situation like this before. The manager then said that we will take care of you and get you a new stove and again stated that this was ridiculous. The manager was still angry over the situation and told me that she is making some calls to pull other managers together Monday for a conference call to LG Dealer support and said that she is going the climb the corporate ladder on this one.I see a ton of lawsuits against LG and a huge number of complaints, it seems that they do not care or respond to their customers and end up in a lawsuit. I was contemplating on a lawsuit but came up with a better idea. I am going to work closely with Home Depot management and get data on whatever they need and work to have Depot drop all LG product lines. I think I have Home Depots attention on this and just have to follow the process. I have always had positive experiences with Home Depot and I dont want to see any more of their customers go through this experience and lack of accountability on LGs part. If everything is successful and LG products are pulled from Home Depot this will be a huge revenue loss for LG which is well deserved. This will hold them accountable for their actions and is far easier than a lawsuit and there is a ton of data on poor customer service and product support.

I like the dual doors and the freezer bottom drawer which has four compartments. One for bottle of waters - thats what I use it for, a pull out shelf useful for those items you want to freeze laying down; then two deep sections. One section holds a 15lb whole turkey and several pounds of different meats, chicken and veggies. The other separate section holds fish, seafood and assorted other things. I dont need to buy a separate freezer to keep an ample supply of food on hand.

LG HE takes less time to dry clothes. Uses less hot water. I like the front-loading washer and dryer better than top-loading ones. They were somewhat on the expensive side, but worth it. LG has an innovative motor that will last longer because theres less motion involved. I like the pedestals as well. Ive had absolutely NO problems with either the washer or the dryer, and no missing socks! Mine are full-size side-by-side units. There are many cycle options for each: water temperature for wash and rinse, type of material, intensity of spin cycle; the dryer allows for both timed and sensor drying.

Read out on the door panel now says Er1 and 5 degrees F. I cant afford a new refrigerator, but Im afraid this one is going to burn up. Puddles on the floor when the icemaker was working. Of course now, no more puddles, no more ice, no water in the door. Junk!

We purchased a brand new LG french door refrigerator (bottom drawer freezer and 2 door refrigerator with ice and water in the door). We purchased it through Home Depot for $2200 in April 2016. We researched and shopped around and felt good about the purchase. Didnt buy extended warranty - why would we... its a brand new fridge with manufacturers warranty and solid company right?? WRONG!!!I NEVER write online reviews. This experience is so shockingly horrible I had to submit a review. The ice in the door constantly melts and refreezes. When it refreezes it bonds the giant chunk of ice from the ice maker to the door. You need an icepick or a crowbar to then remove the ice maker from the door. Of course, as soon as you pry it apart, the entire bin of ice and melted water drops onto the floor and all around your feet. The melted ice block fills every nook 6 inches deep into the ice maker. Again, using an icepick you can chop up the ice and use your vacuum or spoons to extract all the ice.Home Depot wont touch this. Refer you to LG Customer Service. Took multiple calls and LG over the phone told us it was our fault and we must be leaving refrigerator door open too long and were melting the ice. They told us to open the refrigerator door NO MORE THAN 1-2 TIMES PER DAY??? Finally, they sent a technician. The technician reviewed the fridge and told me LG is terrible and he sees this all the time. However, his report back to LG indicated he found no issues. LG issued report to us that we need to TURN OFF THE ICEMAKER every night before bed and empty the bin. In the morning we can turn the ice maker back on but that we MUST USE ALL THE ICE EACH DAY OR TURN IT OFF. They claim the ice maker is so efficient and meant to make more ice than we can use because they were getting complaints it wouldnt make enough ice. So weve been turning the ice maker on and off each day - which makes us open the refrigerator doors twice a day by the way. And the problem is still there. Thanks LG!! What a waste of $2200. A waste of many peoples time in your games and a ridiculous strategy. Buyers are savvy and expect more than stupid answers. A very unsatisfied customer who is also a realtor and refers people to buy new appliances all the time! Will make sure people dont buy LG for sure!

I trust the LG brand and when it came to looking for a quality fridge that would also quench our thirst as we go through a lot of water as a family...this brand was the best choice for not only our family but the space we needed it for. The LG refrigerator I used was spacious enough for us and I loved the fact that it was from a brand I trust and love. I loved the ice maker and water dispenser on it. The water from it was some of the best water. The fridge itself had tons of room and fit the space perfectly. The fridge we used had a bottom drawer freezer. I wasnt a huge fan seeing that it sometimes would catch if food shifted. The fridge had a lot of room...sometimes I felt too much room lol. So the spaciousness was a pro and con...mainly because I am short.

I have never been more appalled and disgusted with a company and customer service in my life. Last night while doing laundry, my LG electric dryer of the last 4 year, the cord connecting in the back of the dryer caught fire and melted. Thank goodness we were home and the dryer shut off with no further damage to the house other than the wire and casing in the back of the dryer completely melting. I called the customer service line to let them know what happened and the lady sounding like she was reading from a manual telling me that I had to set up a service call which I understood. Then she tells me that I have to pay over $275 upfront for repairs before they will send anyone out. I told her that the malfunction was not my fault that there is a defect in the product and she said unfortunately unless I pay upfront they can not send anyone out. I told her to send someone out and if the repairman somehow found us at fault we would pay then, but before he came out to look at it. How do you charge someone for a repair that they havent even seen yet to know what needs to be fixed. How do you charge someone upfront for a repair that was a manufacturers defect? A defect that could have burnt my house down or worse killed my entire family had we been sleeping. For safety measures I had an electrician come out to the house the very next day to ensure it wasnt an electrical issue on my end and he even said its wasnt anything from the house end, that it was an internal issue with the dryer.

I bought this machine because it was oversized to be able to fit in large loads of clothes and bedding. Every year I have had it, it has progressively had more problems than the last. The last three visits were about the water coming out of the drum and they did adjustments. First they told me I could use the top speed to get water out. The next breakdown they readjusted it and said I could not wash waterproof clothing or water resistant clothing and that it would break the machine. WTF? I bought it to wash my clothes not just some of my clothes, however I followed their advice washing winter coats and gloves and bedding protection outside my house. Now its broken again same issue. I had a regular size load of jeans in it. STUPID machine!!!! It failed just a few months past 5 years.Estimate for the repairs were over $1200. If I can give LG less than one star I most definitely would. I purchased the LG French door/bottom freezer refrigerator in December 2011
I purchased the LG French door/bottom freezer refrigerator in December 2011. May 2012 was my first call for repair. I found the freezer totally defrosted all my food and the refrigerator was hot. I called LG and got a customer service rep that couldnt care less that I lost a lot of food in a brand new $2600 refrigerator and the best they could do was send a repairman out in a couple of days. The repairman came out and replaced parts and boards. The problem has to do with the fan, I was told. Now its August 2012 and I awoke to a freshly stocked refrigerator once again hot and all frozen food defrosted. Once again I called LG and got a customer service rep (if you want to call him that) that was rude and non-empathetic about the situation. He proceeded to tell me that he sent a work order to the repair people and I will need to call them in half an hour to confirm they received the work order for repair. They call that customer service. LG knows there is a big problem with these refrigerators. I cant believe after reading all these complaints that nothing has been done about LG. I will never buy another LG product nor will I recommend their products to anyone.

Let me start by saying I will never buy another LG product and will warn others to stay away from this manufacturer. I purchased a French Door Refrigerator Model LFX25978 and after approximately 3 years the compressor failed. Although the refrigerator was under a one year warranty, the compressor had a ten year warranty which is one of the reasons I decided to purchase it so I had a glimmer of hope that this repair would be covered by LG. NOT EVEN CLOSE. After very frustrating discussions with customer service I was told that I would have to have an authorized service center diagnose the problem at a cost of approximately $175 and upon their verification, they would send a compressor directly to my home free of charge but I would have to pay for the repair. My total cost was around $800. When all was said and done. HERE IS THE REAL KICKER. Fast forward just short of another 3 years to now and the compressor failed for the second time. Obviously there is a problem with this part that the company is unwilling to address. When I called to see if the company would make some type of accommodation, I was treated very unprofessionally and they would not offer the slightest relief. NEVER AGAIN. POOR QUALITY COUPLED WITH POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS A VERY BAD COMBINATION.

Bought a LG Top loading washing machine WT5270CW and the motherboard failed in 2 1/2 months. The failure caused the washing machine to continue filling up with water and overflowing onto the floor. It flooded out our garage and fortunately was discovered before it flooded the entire home. LG warranty service is horrible. They have you troubleshoot it, so they can save the cost of a repairman coming out. Their LG repairmen never call you nor show up for schedule appointments. LG, themselves, when you question what is going on, admit they dont have the parts on hand to fix it. Come to find out, my parts are on back order for 7-10 days. In June of 2014 I bought a new French door LG fridge ($2199) for our new home from Sears Canada. From the minute it was plugged in it squealed randomly and has a constant humming/vibrating noise that is well above just annoying. As a point of reference, we have an almost identical LG at the cottage and it is basically noise free. I have been quite patient about getting the noise corrected as it seems to function well except for how noisy it is. The authorized LG repair tech was there today for the second time and had the gall to tell me it seems not bad, I asked him to leave and go have another drink as the alcohol coming off him would serve a college fraternity well.Almost one year later I still have an annoying buzz coming from my new LG refrigerator and zero satisfaction in getting this remedied. At this point I fully expect LG to delay this until the one year warranty is up and say sorry, nothing we can do. Fortunately, I have lawyers in my family and this matter is far from over. As many others have said, THIS WILL BE MY LAST LG PRODUCT regardless of the ultimate outcome. There is no need in this day and age to put up with this level of customer service.

I purchased this fridge 2 years ago; it had good reviews and I was assured by the 10 yr compressor warranty. Turns out that you are just buying an ongoing problem! How can LG sell a known defective product? The refrigerator we replaced worked well for 27 years. Our warranty was voided because we tried to have it fixed first by a non-accredited LG tech, but it is the compressor that went out and LG has abandoned us in a technicality. And if we had it repaired, in all likelihood it would go out again in 2 years. I love the design and look, but not worth the $3k problem. We have tried all the front-loading washing machine cleaners we can find and have used bleach in the tub clean as per the owners manual. One of the worst smelling items is our wonderful towels. After showering, we have to remember not to breathe deeply while drying our faces! And I just noticed the paint is peeling off the front of the machine, near one of the “seams”. Update 08/21/2019:After posting this review LG was quick to respond with to a private exchange to stand behind their product. We had several exchanges concluding with me sending them the details and invoice from the LG certified repair company we had used to assess the unit. Unfortunately after this exchange we have received no further communication from LG. They had stated they would stand behind the quality of their product however after more than 2 weeks of silence and a not functioning refrigerator I am losing confidence. I am disappointed that they set the expectation that they would help and then have failed to respond. Not only because I would like their help but I need to decide if I need to buy a new refrigerator. Ironically the short term solve has been to use a 20 year old Amana unit in the garage which has never needed any repairs. Maybe we should go back to a more reliable brand. Original review:We bought an LG refrigerator when we purchased a new home. 5 year and 2 months later the board has gone out, the fan motor isnt working, and our repair man says the defrost is also not working. To fix it will cost more than $1000 with parts and labor. Very disappointed to be needing a new unit after just 5 years.

They refuse to do anything about it, but its not over!!!I will continue to post how bad their customer service and appliances are, until they at least replace or repair it... The spin cycle is violent and shakes the house so bad it sounds like it will explode. Customer service did not want to hear it from the very start. Lowes where we purchased the unit refer me back to LG and LG referred back to Lowes. Just a game they play to stall everything. From the very first day it was totally inadequate - dirty dishes, soap dispenser not opening, etc. LG should be ashamed to market this type of machine. This is the reason why companies like this will not have long term success.

In August 2009, I purchased $5000 worth of house appliances (refrigerator, range, washer and dryer) with extended warranties from Best Buy. The LG refrigerator, LSC26905SB, has not operated properly since day one. Best Buy came out once every three months with an inoperable ice maker. After the first year, Best Buy informed me there was no extended warranty on the refrigerator. I called Best Buy corporation and explained that the online customer service representative forgot to give me an extended warranty on the refrigerator. They told there was nothing they could do. Fast forward to 2012, I am replacing the ice maker chute which is $289 and the ice maker tray drips which is another $200. I believe Best Buy intentionally left the warranty off of the refrigerator because it is a piece of garbage. Of course, I requested a copy of my receipt and Best Buy stated they dont have a copy.

I purchased a new LG washer WT1201CW and dryer DLEY1201W when we moved to a new home recently. In all my 50 years washing clothes, I have never had such a poorly designed machine. The washer is so deep that I have to half hang inside the machine to reach the clothes at the bottom (I am 54). The machine doesnt fill with enough water to sufficiently clean the clothes and I end up with spots and streaks. The dryer also performs poorly, not fluffing the clothes and bunching them so they end up wrinkled. I am very dissatisfied and will never purchase anything from LG again.Updated on 05/25/2016: I received a reply with only a portion of my complaint answered and the answer was ridiculous. I am posting this to warn others, dont purchase a top loading washer and matching dryer from LG. I am a grandmother and have washed clothes for many years, this is the worst appliances I have ever owned.

LG is great brand. Love their unique features. Great company. I know the brand and I am familiar with the brand. It is always great whether it is a tv or a microwave. I love the brand so I thought it was a much better choice. I like how the refrigerator gives ice and it is great. Love the color and the spacing in the freezer. Love the white color on the inside. And it looks great on my wall. Love how it is built to last and hope it does. But I dont like how much space is taking and there should be more light. It could be much better color. It is not too heavy and love the electrical and it is okay. Could be way better.

I purchased my range in 2009. Near the end of the warranty, my oven stopped working. I called to have it repaired and it was repaired under the warranty. February of 2013, the oven stopped working again! I bake a lot so was upset I had to get it repaired again. We live in a small town and it is hard to get repairs done. After phoning around, I found out that the range had a recall on it in 2012! Why were letters not sent out? It took three months to finally get it repaired. Yesterday, November 6th, the oven doesnt work again! I called the recall line and had to fax the bill of sale to them. As of now, I havent heard back. I told them I would just like to get a new range so I dont keep having problems with this range because I bake a lot. The person I talked with said I probably wouldnt get the full value for the range, if they dont repair it again. I cant go without an oven for another 3 months. After the third breakdown, they should just replace the stove.

A few months after purchase the filter compartment started to leak so we had water pooling on the top shelf. Got it repaired. Then the ice maker had a leak in the back so large sheets of ice would get stuck behind & prevent us from taking out the ice tray/compartment. Got it repaired. Then the filter compartment started leaking again. Got it repaired. And the biggest problem of all, the compressor died and it took a week to have it repaired. Lost a lot of food & homemade prepared meals in the freezer not to mention being a week without a fridge!!! Got it repaired. 5 days after the repair, the new compressor died again!!! The day after I went to Costco to restock the fridge & freezer!!! Im still waiting for the warranty people to call me to set up a service! I just might lose my mind! There is no way on earth a fridge costing nearly $3K should give this much trouble so early on in its life!

We purchased our LG Refrigerator in October 2016. It is a French door with dual ice makers. We did love it but like so many others... our compressor broke and our food was ruined. No small expense. Because there is such a demand for replacement compressors I was told there was a back order on them and it took 10 days to get it fixed. Additionally, we cannot get the right fruit/vegetable bin (when facing the refrigerator) out to clean it without breaking it. The gentleman who repaired did get it out and broke it in the process. If anyone would care to shed light on this I would greatly appreciate it. I did read the manual and when you follow the directions, it jams against the door. Also, there in a clear plastic easy access door inside the main french door that catches and pulls open each time you open the main door. Our solution to this was to tape it shut. Lastly, the handle has a button to push to open to access milk and other beverages and apparently it is painted plastic not stainless steel like the rest of the handle because the paint wore off the first year... Looks pretty bad for a high end fridge.

I have an LG front load. It does not have an option to add more water and there is never any extra water in it other than what is on the clothes. As a result I have to wet the clothes down before I start the cycle and do a “rinse and spin” at the end of a full wash as the “extra rinse” does not utilize enough water to justify the electricity being used but the rinse and spin seems to have residual water in the drum. Even with minimal soap and fabric softener or using vinegar in the mid cycle the clothes still come out with a chemical smell to them. Yes I clean the machine regularly as it also has a problem with getting smelly quickly. Had to replace the sensor that creates the spin at year 6 but DIY as this is such a common problem and instructions found easily on the internet.

Our two month old LG Microwave Oven Model LCS1112ST bit the dust yesterday and I immediately contacted LG Customer Support. After jumping through all the hoops sending them a receipt, proof of damage, etc., I was expecting my $ back since it had a one year warranty. I received an e-mail saying in order to process my claim, I had to buy another LG microwave before they would consider any refund. Completely unsatisfied with this nonsense, I called and spoke to a gentleman that passed me on to supposedly the supervisor. She said that we were to send a letter explaining why we bought a GE microwave instead of an LG microwave along with additional documentation. Why would I buy another LG product? LG does not stand behind their warranty! DO NOT buy any LG product! They simply want your $ and they do not care about customer satisfaction!!!

So disappointed in this product and customer service! My husband and I built a house in 2017. Bought all of our appliances range, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator all in a bundle from Lowe’s in Bedford, IN. So elated about having a new house with all new appliances! My elation quickly turned in to total frustration! Only after 14 months of use the compressor went out. Let me repeat that AFTER 14 MONTHS! After several phone calls to the store, the customer info center the Lowe’s Extended Protection number. No one I spoke with could give us the same answers to any of our questions. It took weeks to get a service rep to even look at it and when he finally arrives and determined the compressor was bad he had no replacement with him. Had to be ordered which took awhile to arrive, a few more weeks before they could come back to install the new one. Only after cancelling and having to reschedule that appointment in which I had to miss work to be available to let him in to service the refrigerator. A loaner was offered at one point in time but I was told that could take a week to deliver not knowing that the replacement part would not be available on the first visit I declined. Was also told by one representative that we could just replace the refrigerator then only to be told by another that was not the case. I wrote down all the names of every one I spoke with and even had each one send me our dictated conversation in e-mail. They would not stand by their word. Never could I get a manager on the phone. Was always told that Customer Service does not have one. Most call centers operate off of a 3 tier system so I found it hard to believe that one. It took a total of 12 weeks to have the issue fixed Missed days at work, food loss, all the phone calls and time spent talking on the phone and getting no real answers. Was told at one point we could use a local repair man and the Extended Protection Plan that we purchased would cover the cost only to be told by someone else that it would NOT and if we chose that route it would void the EPP all together. Could had it fixed in 2 days as opposed to 12 weeks. The whole reason I am writing this review today is because after going through all of this our freezer isn’t defrosting correctly and therefore the ice maker isn’t working, the food in the freezer is barely frozen. The temp is set on minus 4 but the thermometer has placed on the inside barely reads 32 degrees. Here we go again!!!! So disheartening to spend so much money that you work so hard for on a product and to be so disappointed by it and the customer service that you have to deal with. We just got this machine in last Friday. After doing a few loads over the weekend, I was wondering if there was something wrong. The black control panel is very hard to read! It has gray lettering on a black background. I called LG to see if there was a backlight that wasnt working, and was told that there is no backlight. Seems to me that LG has mad a very basic design error with the panel. It should have white lettering, as do most other machines with this type of panel. I actually made myself a vinyl overlay with white lettering to make it more usable for myself. Something that LG needs to address ASAP!

For the past hour I have been reading about unsatisfied customers with the same problems with the linear compressor. Since 2011, we also have lost numerous total food items, ice maker freezing up and plugging the chute, water dripping from the dispensers and the control panel peeling as well as the load and vibrating compressor noise. I eventually removed the little tray in the dispenser so I could monitor excess water leakage to immediately clean up. Also with the control panel peeling with possible water seepage, now some of the functions on the control panel no longer work. Two other family member also purchased this same model at the same time not knowing all these eventful problems. We all have experience the same problems. Removing all the food contents and unplugging the refrigerator 2-3 times a year seems ridiculous and also trying to remove the frozen water buildup that plugs up the ice dispenser is a pain.I see the same over and over form response from LG which tells customers to contact them, but I have not read if any of these hundreds (maybe thousands) have had any resolution. I know there was a Class Action Suit and Settlement Clark v. LG Electronics USA, Inc. Case No:3:13-cv-0485-JMJMA for models sold before January 2014. Why hasnt LG been made responsible to rectify this compressor problem. I too will never buy nor recommend an LG Refrigerator to anyone.

I regret purchasing this LG refrigerator - its louder than the GE we had before. Reminds me of my grandmothers noisy Kelvinator in 1959. After diligently researching washers, including consulting Consumer Reports
After diligently researching washers, including consulting Consumer Reports, I decided to purchase an LG Tromm washer. Approximately 6.5 years after the purchase, the washer broke, specifically the metal spindle completely cracked from the metal drum. I called an LG endorsed repairman who ordered a new metal drum. Three weeks later, the drum came in but was damaged. He returned it and ordered another one. Two weeks later, the wrong drum was received. Again, he called and verified the part and this time, it took four weeks to arrive. When he went to replace the drum, it wouldnt fit and when he called the company (tech support), they verified that the drum was not the original piece. They also told him (and this was in front of me) that the specific type is no longer manufactured and that my washer would need to be retrofitted to accommodate the new drum type. This would cost more than the washer! I called customer support at LG and was told that they do not accept complaints. I asked what was done when one was sent in and was told that they just collected the complaints. So now, I am left with a broken washer, a pedestal that only fits LG front loaders and no venue to voice my displeasure. I will never purchase from LG again!

It will run quietly for maybe a day then will start humming loudly, everything in the doors vibrate, and makes really weird noises!! Called customer service and was told I need to manually defrost! I purchased a home which included appliances including my LG bottom freezer refrigerator (model number LRDC22744TT) this time last year and moved in in August. An internal leak developed in the refrigerator compartment, which was discovered to be a broken reservoir that feeds the water dispenser in the door. The reservoir was replaced by a local serviceman. First time I have ever felt compelled to write a review but after reading through so many here and having the worst experience Ive ever had with a Customer Service group I really need to. For the reviewer who said they took a day off to be home for a confirmed (via email) service appointment that was a no-show cancellation because LG never actually had a repair person confirmed - the exact same thing happened to me two weeks ago today... I even called that morning 3 hours into my 4 hour window to verify and was told someone was en route only to find out when I called 90 minutes later I was only then told that the appointment was canceled. I later spoke with the repair facility and they told me they had declined the job because they didnt have availability!Seems Im luckier than most that my LG fridge has gone 8 years without incident. 16 days ago my wife opened it in the morning and it was totally dead. No lights, no compressor, just no power. The outlet tested fine but the lack of lights pointed to it being electrical. I called the toll free number for LG on the inside of fridge and the person seemed helpful enough; Said it probably needed a new motherboard, but because it was out of warranty he would need my credit card details and for $361 we could get this fixed. Thats cheaper than a new fridge so I gave him what I needed and they were certainly very expedient in putting the charge on my credit card! I started to look around on the internet to see if any other reports of this issue and if the fridge could in fact be saved and learned that this whole issue likely stemmed from a small, blown 15 amp fuse... A part that LG soldered into the motherboard rather than put in a easily bracket for easy replacement that could be purchased for about 25 cents. After the no-show appointment, LG Customer Service said they would give the job to another repair facility. They put me on hold, came back a few minutes later and told me they had left them a voicemail and they gave me the phone number and told me that I was free to reach out to them too. I phoned, and left a voicemail around midday that Friday and never received a callback. Over the weekend I phoned and left another voicemail to give them my cell # as well as Id be back at work on Monday and that would be the best number to reach me. By midday on Monday I still had not gotten a call. I did call the number through from the email confirmation the previous week and got a speaking person who gave me the true story on the canceled appointment and told me they could see me on Wednesday afternoon. Confirmed it with them and asked them to contact LG and that I would do the same to let them know that their other company doesnt appear to exist and they need to reassign it to the original technician they schedule. I called LG and was on the phone on hold for most of the time for almost an hour. After an hour and 20 minutes I was disconnected and nobody called me back (all this time Im at work and doing LGs work for them!). I called LG back on my way home and the told me all was good to go.Repairman comes on Wednesday (approximately 1 week since no fridge/contacting LG) after I take a half day to be home and the diagnosis is a blown fuse. Great, but despite it being known from the onset that the motherboard needs to be replaced he doesnt have the part, but they do have 2 in their warehouse and will work with the warranty company on the formalities to try and replace by Friday. No appointment gets made, Repair Service says theyre waiting on LG to approve. I call LG and they tell me another Department cant make the appointment as the Repair Services schedule isnt available online. I call the Repair Service and they tell me nonsense, theyre getting scheduling confirmations from them right now. I call LG back, they tell me theyre now waiting on the Claims Department to approve the part, a process that can take up to 3 business days (this despite charging me almost $400 to replace the part over a week ago).Monday this week comes and I have no phone call, and no appointment. I call LG back and again more being put on hold but now the explanation is were waiting on the part to come in. They couldnt answer me when their Claims Dept approved this so we arrived to this step, nor why we couldnt have had the repair facility (a LG contracted provider!) use one of theirs. They have in stock but Im starting to feel this whole thing is shady. They told me refrigerator repairs are given priority status (a joke!) and that my simple repair was being given a priority to be remedied this week.I called LG back 2 days later (Wednesday, 2 weeks of no fridge and first contact with LG) having not heard back from them and was told that the system shows that I was told that I would be contacted by Friday at the latest if the part had not arrived. I lost my patience at that point and told them I was not told the part coming in would take a full week and that I was instead told that my repair would be a priority to be completed this week and how could we be waiting on a part we knew it needed from the onset, that is readily available to purchase online at a fraction of what Im being charged, and that their repair service was in possession of 2 of them. I told them that rather than trying to bilk a few extra dollars of profit on this 5 minute repair job by using the cheapest available board they can assign in their system they really need to make this a customer resolution case as its been 2 weeks and I need to speak with someone who can look at this absurd situation and make an actual decision to get it fixed. They tell me they will try to forward me to a supervisor to see if they can help. After 10+ minutes on hold the person I was speaking with comes back online and tells me the repair appointment has been made for between 8 AM and 12 PM tomorrow. I thought someone in charge realized and was acting in customer-retention mode until they told me it was not the repairman who had seen me a week ago that would be coming but the one who never returned my 2 voicemails. I asked to confirm for certain hes bringing the board and fully prepared for the appointment to make the repair and am told is the case.I take another half day from work, and the repairman shows up early and when I let him in my house I half-jokingly say to him, Please tell me you have the board and he looks at me with no clue and says he didnt bring anything, the work-order he got only said LG Refrigerator - not cooling. Hes almost as angry as I am that he wasnt told the fridge was totally dead of electric and that another technician had already been here and made the diagnosis. I felt bad for him as he came from a good distance away in the teeth of rush hour having been told to make my call a priority but a total waste of his time and mine. At this point I called LG and just lost it with them and essentially told them their Out of Warranty purchase had to be some kind of scam bordering on criminality as there is no way a real business enterprise could be this incompetent! I was told my account was being escalated to their real Resolution people (i.e. the ones tasked with explaining the inexcusable) and it would take 24 to 48 business hours for one of them to contact me and no doubt the buffer is in hopes that Im much calmer.I have a family of 4 thats been living out of a cooler on my kitchen floor the last 16 days and running out every other night for a new 16 LBS bag of ice. I had to invest in a chest freezer for my garage so that we had some kind of food for my kids on-hand. Ive burned 2 full days off from work and have easily spent more than 3 hours on the phone during business hours on hold with LG. And my fridge is still not fixed, and no appointment in sight for someone to come here and essentially unplug 5 little plugs and then plug the 5 little plugs into the new board. And they charged me almost $400 for this level of service when I could have gotten a new board for $120 and done this myself.I think LG right now on the service front is trying to milk the last nickel of profit on these out of warranty purchases on the assumption it will be the last nickel they see from these customers. Perhaps a self-fulfilling prophecy experiences like this will make a reality. Maybe the US market isnt working out for LG Appliance as it doesnt seem like their heart is in it for the long-haul.

2017 FH4U2VCN Front load washing machine - Quite the most unreliable machine I have purchased in 60 years. Constantly stops at the rinse/spin stage with uneven load flagged. After 6 months of this I had LG engineer call and make the usual excuses too much load, too little load, wrong type of mix. What a load of tosh. To placate me he replaced the motor and housing to what seems no improvement whatsoever. It is now 12 months old and unless it is fixed once and for all it will go back to Currys and legal action will follow. The machine fails to complete on average three out of every five washes. At this point Currys is not in the picture as servicing has to go through LGs totally abysmal website where they cant even manage to email you that your complaint has been received - just warning you only to sent report once! What the blazes is that about?

Finally on June 15th I spoke with a case manager at LG who assured me she was the one dealing with my case and would have it taken care of in 7-10 business days.On June 29th I received a text message asking for yet another picture of the product tag located inside. Which I immediately returned.. I lost over $500 dollars in food and was refunded $200 for that.. Now here we are July 9th. I called today to see what was going on, the rep would NOT give me her name, she called me a liar and hung up on me, when I called back to ask for a supervisor I was told there were NONE available and it would take 72 hours for one to get in contact with me. At this point I will be contacting a lawyer to see what the next steps are that can be taken, this has been the worst experience EVER. We cannot afford to pay for any more plumbing problems due to this still erratic washer banging problem. Our other unit we had worked the same way. This unit does & it never gave us this disturbing problem. Sincerely!!!!!

I have a LG HE front load washer and dryer Model #WM2350HWC and DLE2350W. I bought the pair at HHGREGG in 2011 or 2012. They have been a great asset to my laundry needs. They live up to their name, Lifes Good (LG). I havent had any problems with either one of them and they keep your clothes looking brand new. :)

Purchased this microwave February 2015. Have had several electrical problems. Circuit board shorted out, micron blew out, the sliding door for the exhaust fan broke and had to be repaired. It takes forever to receive replacement parts. Will never buy another LG microwave.

Initially I thought this machine (LG F4J8JH2W Washer Dryer in White) to be quite good. The dryer worked very efficiently - the clothes sometimes came out hot.4 months after I purchased it however, we notice quite a lot of smoke coming out from the drum. Luckily we were in the kitchen so switched off the power immediately before the smoke could develop further. LG response - was to send an engineer to investigate, not to get it out of the house. Not good.

LG Waveforce True Balance Washer large capacity - You CAN fit huge amounts
LG Waveforce True Balance Washer large capacity - You CAN fit huge amounts of clothes in the washer. This is the only good thing. The BAD - no matter whether you wash one thing or a giant load, it will wash and wash and wash because the load becomes uneven and it is trying to even out the load. Eventually, almost every load, you will have to stand over the load to keep re-positioning the load manually until it finishes washing. If you have time to spend at least 20 minutes watching and monitoring almost every load so you can make it even, then this washer is for you.

I used to own a front load LG washer. It was great and served our needs very well for years. The only problem with it was it sprung a leak and we could not get a repair man out to fix it in our area! I decided it was time to replace this machine and bought another LG washer, this time a top load. What a mistake! This washer is a nightmare. It has wrecked our sheets. They are permanently stained a blotchy grey color. They have large bleach stains as well. This is not where it stops either. Our towels are all bleach stains, as well as socks and other items a person would use bleach for. This washer wrecked many of our belongings! I just hate it! It got moisture in the control panel a few weeks after owning it. I phoned to Lowes and they told me to call LG. LG told me to call a service company who would not come out until LG called them for fear of not being paid. I have never had any result! WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY I PERSONALLY SAVED TO PURCHASE THIS DETRIMENT TO MY HOUSEHOLD!

In 2008 we bought an LG range. On the first cleaning, soot went into the oven door window. The same thing happened with the replacement range. LG then gave us a better range at no additional charge with the understanding that we could make no further claims. We havent, but the third range had the same problem. Additionally, the whole back of the range moves when you try to turn something on. Now theres a crack there caused by the mere force of turning on a burner. Those burners take a long time to do small kitchen tasks like boil water. I bought an electric kettle for that. The range takes a full 10 minutes to get to 420. This is an extremely disappointing product.

Cools food well, ice maker made a lot of ice quickly, matches my kitchen, easy open door. Easy temperature settings. Plenty of storage space on the door. Easy to open drawers. Need a big freezer though. I have a large family and was never able to store enough meat. Still, it was a good price and fit in my kitchen well. Love the drawers and the door shelves.

Brand new LG top freezer refrigerator was replaced twice. None of the freezers could maintain a zero or lower temp - sometimes getting up to as much as 15. LG told me theyd send someone out but since the problem is random, if it isnt above zero, they will charge me for the call. INSTEAD of researching what LG has done in the past to fix this problem and just doing that repair, they insist I have to wait until the fridge constantly fails. Which is may or may not. Meanwhile, I cant protect food from freezer burn and spoilage. I called LG. Was disconnected. Called again. was put on hold 15 minutes and was disconnected. Called again. Was told someone would call me back. No one did. Emailed asking what the fix was for this issue and was told to read the owners manual and that I had to call their 800 number to talk to a person. The email contained a link to a chat which told me I was not authorized to use. So I have a new refrigerator with a useless freezer and no help from LG. All they need to do is tell me how the problem has been fixed for others. Instead, they not only lost a customer, I will caution others not to deal with LG.

LRFC22750ST - Bought new and 2 months later, the plastic tabs that hold French doors break so they have to replace both upper door assemblies because they dont sell the $2 part. Oops! The new doors dont match so now they have to order the bottom freezer door because they dont carry that style of door anymore. Sold fridge with house. Done? Nope! New house has same fridge, with broken tabs! Then the door switch fails and the lights stay on and cooks the food on the top shelf, slags the temp control unit and lens. Since you cant buy parts, I temporarily solved problem by replacing bulbs with LED ones (they dont generate much heat). Everyone Ive spoken to has similar issues as others here have listed. Bad business LG! Very short term thinking! You are creating an army of anti-LG activists.

LG customer service is HORRIBLE. It has been a nightmare dealing with them. I own 3 LG TVs and a LG Dryer (had washer but it broke and went to Samsung). I just had my kitchen re-modeled and bought all new appliances. EVERYONE told me to stay away from LG due to their customer service. Product ok but service would be bad if I ever needed them. I was told to go with Samsung. I decided to stick with LG and bought $4K LG Refrigerator. In addition, I also purchases a new LG Stove, LG Microwave and LG Dishwasher. What a mistake! After only 5 months, my LG refrigerator broke! I called LG customer service. That, in itself, was frustrating. They sent someone out to fix it. After it being serviced it was still not working. I contacted them again and they sent the same service tech out. The service tech advised them and noted it on the paper he left me that it was broken and he could not fix it. I contacted LG to get replacement. They said they needed to send yet another tech. I took off another day of work and the tech never showed up!! When I contacted them, the same women picked up and we got disconnected 2 times. I called and got someone else and the phone seemed fine with no disconnection. It has been 3 weeks. I still have no refrigerator and LG still has not confirmed when we would have a service tech come out again. I have a family of 6 with no refrigerator!! After spending thousands of dollars on all new LG Appliances, I would NEVER recommend purchasing LG and will note the same for any potential future purchases. Next call.... Better Business Bureau.

I bought a LG Electric Range, Model # LSE4611ST in Feb. 2020. I have just used the self-clean option and it did not clean the oven completely. I used an oven cleaner and now I have white blotches all over the oven. I have never owned an oven that could not handle oven cleaners. I would like to know how to fix this issue in my $1600 range. Very upset this happened to my fairly new range!

The first time we had a problem with things in the freezer not staying frozen, the fan in the back of the freezer had to be replaced. Cheap little fan motor for such a big unit. Now we are having the compressor replaced, everything melted in the freezer and the refrigerator section was up to 50 degrees where it should be 33 degrees. The unit is a French Door unit and we purchased it May of 2013. I feel it should have lasted much longer than it did. It seems to me they dont make any thing to last these days, and the price is out of sight.

The LFX25973D/00 FRENCH DOOR refrigerator obviously has problems with its linear compressor. Almost every person who bought one of these, has the problem that it stops cooling after 2 years. I have read this over and over and over and over. If you replace the compressor-it breaks again in 2 years. It is ridiculous that I read reviews saying this is a great product when a class action lawsuit was opened up over this defect? Why can’t LG in S Korea manufacture a replacement compressor that isnt defective so everyone with this product can just put the new compressor in and everything is good? Instead 10’s of 1000’s of these are being left at city dumps. WHAT A WASTE. :-( It is very indicative of what type of company LG is when they do absolutely nothing about it and keep selling the product anyway. I will never ever buy an LG product ever again and I will tell every person I can to do the same.

Since I bought the unit in October of 2015 I have had nothing but issues with it. After installation the convection fan was hitting the unit causing a loud scratching noise. LG sent me a different blade which wasnt even the right one. Had to wait another week to get a new blade sent. Now the machine will not preheat. Does not show an error message. It just shuts off and sings a nice happy tune to let me know the unit is a piece of crap. I would not recommend this stove to anyone. If I could return it I would. Customer care is anxious to help you out by charging you $380.00 and a wait of 2 weeks to repair. I have a family of 4 and without a stove its hard to cook food. They didnt seem to care just offered me another option for 265.00 with the same waiting period.

The LG Warranty Dept is pathetic to put it bluntly. We purchased the extended warranty from Lowes Canada on a 3 Appliance Extended Warranty Package. But trying to get warranty service on an LG LFX25778ST French Door Fridge has been ridiculous. Of course, the call center is in the Philippines and they read off of a script. They said there are 2 service providers in my area. I spoke to the first company and they would decline compressor calls from LG? The second company said they are not accepting calls from LG because of past issues??? The CSR in the Philippines had no solution as it was not on his script. What a joke!!! So now Im left scrambling trying to get a repair of the fridge.LG you should be ashamed of yourselves and I warn everyone out there to look at other manufacturers. As well, Im not done with LG and Lowes as of yet. One of these two companies will be reimbursing me for this sham/scam and paying me back for all monies owed. Be it product, the so-called extended warranty charge and all legal fees. I hope everyone reading this heeds the warning. Thanks.
