I bought a fridge 1 year ago and it has been repaired 3 times for the same reason. I contacted LG and each time, it was fixed. Obviously, its a bad fridge. I contacted Home Depot where I purchased it and they told me that after 3 events for the same reason, it should be replaced. I contacted LG, they told me that that’s not the case, that it is up to the technician to tell LG that it cant be fixed. What? Dont buy LG. Customer service sucks and they will do nothing except to keep passing you on to someone else and tell you sad, sorry with no action.

I purchased a brand new house not even a year ago. I was beyond excited that NEW LG appliances will be included with the house. Little did I know. My first issue was that the ice machine did not make ice. Next my refrigerator started defrosting all my food in the freezer component. Thankfully I had a full warranty. I was wrong, no one in Customer Service nor executive services wanted to help. They pretty much left me to deal with this issue alone, 4 technicians later my fridge is still not fixed. LG is a horrible company and word has to get out!

I bought an LG refrigerator in Sept 2016, it failed April 2019. I have been without a working refrigerator for over 4 months. They have attempted to replace the compressor 3 times, 2 of these times they also replaced the motherboard, each time its failed. LG told me that they would attempt to repair 3 times before a replacement would be issued. On the day of the 3rd failed attempt I called and was told that they were submitting the approval for a replacement. After not hearing back I called and Im now being told that each of those repairs fell into the same type of repair and that they will be sending a technician to try something different. Not until today was I offered a $150 credit towards a mini- refrigerator. Im being given quite the run-around, a different story each time I call it seems and Im at the end of my rope. How much time am I supposed to take off work to meet repair men, will they attempt this new type of repair 3 more times, then will they try something new? How long will this go on - a year? A refrigerator should last longer than 2.5 years, PERIOD. They are aware they are selling defective refrigerators. There are class action lawsuits about these compressors. Enough is enough. Send me a new unit or give me my money back.

After many years of being professionals in the working world, we have hit on the WORST product and service from an appliance manufacturer. Our washer was just over 12 months old when we began to experience relentless problems such as continuous UE signals, subsequential refilling of the washer tub, prolonged run times up to 4 hours, and soaking wet clothes even after the spin cycle was completed. We called LG Customer Service and were told in so many words---too bad but it is your problem. We have been Honda car owners for 30 years and cannot say enough good about their customer service and working WITH us when any problems occurred. As a result, we have told many others to buy Honda and they will NEVER be disappointed. We were just told by a repairman that the control panel is bad and needs to be replaced to the tune of $234.00. This on a washer that is now about 15 months old. Quality control must not be existent at LG. In this case, we WILL tell all those we know NEVER to buy a LG product of any sort.

We purchased our refrigerator on July 8, 2018. We were remodeling our home and did not actually plug it in until Dec. 2018. Mid May, 2019 *or there about* we experienced warm food and thawing frozen foods. We called the service center (1-800-905-9505) and told them of the problem - and technician took 2 weeks to come diagnose & repair --- replacing the compressor (Work was done on June 1, 2019). July 11th the refrigerator stopped cooling once again. Food lost and frozen food lost. Technician came the next day (12th) repaired.... and following morning (13th) the refrigerator STOPPED COOLING! Called service center on Saturday the 13th - and am still waiting for a call back from LG to set up service call ASAP. We are thoroughly disappointed with the LG refrigerator we purchased for full price - and will NEVER purchase another LG appliance again. Once we get this refrigerator running again we will donate it and have to spend money again on a new refrigerator. Customer service at LG consists of ALL foreigners - barely speaking English and expressing zero ability to satisfy customers. Sincerely,Steffany

It’s tempting to say buying this product was the worst mistake I’ve ever made, but that, of course, would be an exaggeration. However, this washer is terrible!!! Just like the rest of you, uneven load is the norm, LG basically doesn’t give a crap, and we paid pretty good money for this hunk. Our water bill - hahaha - efficient??? Absolutely the opposite because it takes like 6 runs to get through a load. My husband has tried to throw the washer through the window, straining his back and causing medical problems. Plus we have to go to marriage counseling now because this piece of “machinery” has caused so much stress. Dirty clothes are mounting regularly, our clothes are never fully clean... I wouldn’t be surprised if I get fired from my job for not smelling good! All joking aside, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I wish we had an old school washer.

My experience with LG has not been great considering that it took a month to get my French-door refrigerator fixed this summer. I got this unit because I liked the design. Its compressor went out and I called the warranty company Asurion and they kept telling me that it had to be LG alone to fix it. It took two weeks to finally get somebody to get here. The first person who came out was here for four and a half hours and he did things incorrectly. The first compressor that they put in ended up being broken itself too. So then, they had to order a whole another compressor and dryer again. Then, even though it was delivered to my house within five days, it was two weeks before I got the second technician to come and fix what the first tech did. So, not very happy at all. The techs were friendly and courteous, though. Also, whenever I called LG a couple of weeks ago when the unit was acting up, they got on it very quickly and was able to call a different company to come and work on it. So, I was happy with that. Still, since the repair the refrigerator has been off and on. I have to keep hitting my breaker and resetting my refrigerator from time to time. The panel board will lock up for no reason at all. We dont know why it does that. Also, the ice maker will stop working for a couple of days at a time and it makes noises. Then it will fix itself and go back to working. I wont buy another one.

I have been loading home dishwashers for over sixty years and my LGF7774 is the worst, and I must say, nearly impossible to load effectively. Because it doesn’t seem to be designed for actual dishes, it takes longer to load, as I have to move things around constantly to get them where they will actually get clean. The top rack areas for glasses seems to be slanted wrong and are the wrong width. As a result the glasses often fall over and break as I’m closing the tray. The bottom rack is even more frustrating. Those prongs that flop down to accommodate (what?), pans perhaps, may have seemed like a good idea to some engineer, but in use they plop down whether you want them to or not. The bottom of the lower rack could also use some redesigning. I have many square dishes and have to be over-cautious about seeing that the corners don’t extend downward where they will interfere with the spray arm.The dishes washed appear to be clean, but don’t smell clean. I’m asking the world of manufacturers, “If the user has to rewash things, or wash them before using a machine, how much water and electricity is that saving? And if I cover the food-left-on smell with a scented rinse does that make the dishes cleaner?” In fairness I must add that I just discovered that it has an extra rinse cycle and am at the moment trying that one out.

We bought the LG Dishwasher a few years ago, partly because it was considered one of the most quiet (the kitchen is open to the family room and the builder supplied dishwasher was so loud, it was impossible to do anything social during a wash cycle). But we also were sold on the purported quality and features. We got it and installed it. It was quiet as claimed. But it didn’t clean anything. Often, the soap dispenser wouldn’t open. It filled the inside with hardened calcified soap. We called LG, to no avail. They told us it must be our water pressure (we are on city water and the pressure is just fine). They also said that even though we had a warranty, that issue wasn’t covered and if they sent someone out and it was confirmed that the issue wasn’t warranted, we’d be charged $150 as a minimum visit. We already paid a lot for the appliance and didn’t want to get stuck with another bill. So we managed, mostly precleaning the dishes, washing them again when the soap didn’t dispense, and dealing with the calcified buildup in the inside. The drain hose leaked under the cabinet, and we were able to use drain hose tape to get by. Well finally, the water poured into our finished basement during a drain cycle late last night, right before we were all going to bed. We pulled the machine and found several leaks in the drain line. Thinking we could get a universal hose, we went to Home Depot where we originally bought it and discovered that we need to get the first part of the drain hose from LG and that could take weeks. That was it. We bought a Frigidaire Galaxy series for half the price and it arrives next week. We hope this will do what it’s supposed to do-wash dishes.

We have had our LG Electric Range (LSE4613) since September of 2017. Within this two month period, we have had quite a few incidents when the burners were turned on without us realizing they were on. This last time, we were seconds from significant fire damage to our home. As many others have noted, because the LG stovetops can be turned on by the slightest touch, brush or bump, it is a huge safety hazard. LG needs to develop a fix for this dangerous problem before there is a major recall or lawsuit. There is a lock feature, but its not possible to have it on at all times. The self cleaning feature also seems dangerous. While cleaning, the tile and surrounding granite became too hot to touch, so we turned it off within one hour.

After two fires and repeated calls to the LG company, I finally found someone who was able to point out that many LG ranges can be locked when not in use to prevent easy turn on on the elements. Page 24 of the owners manual says to press and hold the CLOCK button for 3 seconds to lock. If you have children or a tall dog (my dog has turned the stove on twice) it is a MUST to lock it.

I have an LG washer stainless steel drum that I paid $900.00 for! The washer is out of the warranty and started banging. I contacted LG with my problem and I got no response! My boyfriend, who works in tool and die, and my dad took it apart. The bearings were rusted into the drum. I am not happy! How could the bearings rust into a stainless steel drum? I tried calling to order parts and the answer that I keep getting from repair places is good luck getting parts from LG! This is ridiculous! I will never recommend or buy anything LG again!

We got this washing machine just over 4 years ago. The door lock sticks now and I have to turn it off and back on 30 times before the door will unlock so I can get my clothes out. I don’t have time for that. And yesterday, I went to switch my clothes out and the door was locked of course so I just turned the whole machine off and went back to it today when I had time to mess with it. I still had to tap the frame of the door where the lock is about 3-4 times while turning it off and back on. Then when I finally was able to open it, my clothes were still soaked. So I put it on a spin only cycle. 17 min by default then after it judged the weight and distribution, it went to 10 min.I came back a few min later, the number of min was on 7 and it was full of water, rinsing. The spin light was flashing, indicating it was spinning and it was on a spin only cycle. We’re going to have to replace it as soon as we can afford to because they only guarantee their products for a year. I was told by the manufacturer that they’d have to charge me to have a maintenance guy from LG come to my house, evaluate the problem and fix it. Had I known they believed in their products this little, I’d have gone with a different brand. We will not be purchasing LG again.

We purchased our LG Wave Force top loader model number WT5001CW about 4 1/2
We purchased our LG Wave Force top loader model number WT5001CW about 4 1/2 years ago at my local Home Depot for $850. The biggest mistake of our lives. First, the issue with washing blankets, towels etc. The code I think IU or EU pops up and you have to reorganize the blankets and make sure the machine doesnt continue to fill the tub. Sometimes it would take 4 hours to wash my blankets or comforters. Second, the bleach dispenser (I use non-chlorine bleach) seems to always be filled with water. We think the tube is clogged but we are dealing with a more serious issue right now which is my final issue. The third and final issue having dirty clothes come out of my washer after you are supposed to have clean clothes. The delicate cycle does not allow you use to use a lot water so your clothes are not completely covered in water. Then I take out my clothes and find these pieces of dirt and pebbles. Changed all the hoses. Didnt help. Have to shake my clothes of these dirt/pebble pieces then vacuum out my washer to do my next load. We tried to take the bottom plate off and just took off the bolt but the plate is stuck. We did find A LOT of icky stuff on the bolt so we know under the plate is the real issue. Most likely there is build up and needs to be cleaned out. My husband tried to bang it with a mallet to loosen it up and filled it with fabric softer but nothing happens. This washing machine is such a headache and I wish someone would just take it. I dislike it so much. Plus with the recall you cant wash waterproof items, haha. I had the repairman in here about 2 years ago to do what? Not really sure. Please save yourself the headaches and your money. Plus there is a lot plastic components which equals cheap to me.

I have a twin door LG refrigerator. The small bar that opens and closes between the two doors has a small torsion spring that broke. They will not sell the spring but will sell the entire new piece for $80. So they want me to spend $80 for a $.50 part. This is the second door part that has failed, the first was a closer latch which they did carry. I guess I should have read the reviews on LG before I bought it. I will never any LG product again. We have a 25 cubic foot stainless steel side by side refrigerator, 3 1/2 years old. On the 8th we noticed the freezer wasnt freezing (thought we had left the door open), but on the 9th we noticed water on the floor from the ice melting, called Sears where we purchased it and got the name of 2 service techs. The next day he came out and said the compressor had gone out (he mentioned that LG is known for this, and GOOD LUCK with service from them), he gave us a quote to fix it, said for what it would cost it would be better to get a new one. The next day we went to Sears to look for a new one, found out through them that the refrigerator was 100% warranty from LG on parts and labor, so we went home and called LG the next day. By this time we have lost hundreds of dollars in meat and other items out of the fridge and freezer. After contacting LG and talking with an agent, and letting them know we had a compressor go out (let me tell you, every time I talk with a new one, and every time the language barrier makes the communication hard), anyway they said they would get a service call right out. That was on Monday the 13th, I did not hear from them so I called back, and again no service scheduled, the agent said they would expedite and get a service request. On Thursday the 15th, I got an email that we would have a service call on Friday. Friday morning I called A&E service to verify the service and time, they had NO record of a service call. So I called LG and they told me to call A &E myself to schedule, so I did, well A & E says they cant set it up because its under warranty and I have to go through LG, so I call LG back again. I was on the phone for 51 minutes (mostly on hold) with a Michael, results, they will expedite, give them 2-3 business days.On 4-21 called LG to see where we were, was told that A & E has scheduling issues, give them 2-3 business days. Called LG on 4-24, same thing, give them 2-3 days, but this time they offered to pay up to $200.00 for a refrigerator rental. I declined, one, doubt this would pay for a rental for as long as this is taking, and two, we lost everything when it went, so basically living on the basics to get by, NEVER thought it would take this long. I asked for corporate phone number, but forgot this was suppose to be a manager I was talking with, so I was given a phone number and it was the 1st number I ever called for the service, this person hung up on me.Called the corporate number back 256-612-5359. Talked with Rads, while on the phone with me he called A& E and told me that A & E accepted a work order for the repair, but have no record of it, so HE IS GOING TO EXPEDITE THIS TO CORPORATE OFFICE,, GIVE THEM ANOTHER 2-3 DAYS to get a response. However he did offer because of my issues they would authorize a local service repair and pay for the parts, we pay the service and labor and they would reimburse us up to $450.00. I passed on that option, if they reimburse as fast as they get service I may never see the money, and at this point in all of this, I do not trust them. I feel all I have got is a run around and a way of them hoping we will go buy a new refrigerator and drop the repair claim. Not gonna happen.P.S. when we were looking at Sears in the beginning, was looking at a Kenmore Elite, however now that I know it is made by LG, there is no way I would buy it. Our original local service man that we had, told us good luck with LG, obviously this is their normal customer service. We have become a disposable society, and nothing last like it use to, but when you spend $1500.00 on a refrigerator it should last more than 3 1/2 years, and if it still is covered under warranty, you shouldnt have to go through what I have. I would not recommend anything LG, if this is how they take care of their customers.

This is the absolute worst washing machine ever!!! It never gets through a cycle without numerous error messages. The place we bought it refused to take it back within a week of purchasing it. We recently purchased an LG gas range. We paid more and got the higher-end model. Like other people have reviewed is very dangerous. You bump into the knobs and the gas leaks out you dont know it happens unless you smell it or you hear the clicking. LG needs to do something about this Dangerous gas oven.I turn the oven on with my pocketbook. I reach up into the microwave. The oven turns on. Its crazy. If you have little children around its very dangerous and you have to remove the knobs. That looks great. Not when you have spent close to $1,500 on the oven. Yesterday I baked cookies with the grandchildren and the cookies in the front were not as cooked as the ones in the back. Thats another problem. I added a photo with three of the knobs off, doesnt that look like **.

Horrendous Experience! On 7/13 I reported that twenty expensive Brooks Brothers non-iron shirts were destroyed due to the fault of the lint filter of this dryer. The shape of the filter was not manufactured properly and did not remain in place. As a result, pockets, sleeves, button holes and collars of twenty shirts in a load were ruined. I immediately contacted LG customer service and spoke to someone about this event. They offered to mail a new lint catch and then said that I would have to complete a full report of the incident. A follow up email arrived to me with a claim form that I submitted on 7/20.I completed the form in full and also took detailed photos of every shirt and the damage caused. I had heard nothing back at all for two months until on 9/3 when I began to submit daily written complaints via the LG website complaint portal. Finally on 10/5, another representative contacted me via e-mail and asked me to once again forward my claim for and all of the photos of the damage. After review, the representative said that the most they would offer was a reimbursement of $250.00. I sent examples of the current value from the Brooks Brothers website, segregated the shirts for physical inspection and was informed that I would need the original receipt for each one in order for the reimbursement to be reconsidered.A collection of twenty shirts bought over a series of time that were not defective prior to their placement in this dryer would have had no reason to have receipts available. I offered to have them viewed in person and made between 3-4 photos of each shirt as described, showing their tags and damage! Brooks Brothers shirts are quality and time tested to last because they are made properly; quite unlike this dryer! I have yet to get any response to my dissatisfaction for this companys resolution. I did, however, receive this e-mail from 12/21 that had the gall to offer me $500.00 for having completed this survey. My loss of value due to the shirt damage was in excess of $2800.00!! This company has a terrible amount of nerve and complete lack of concern for the customer experience as a whole. This dryer is an abomination and I am sorry that I ever decided to purchase it. Your company should be ashamed of itself for all of the aggravation that I have been put through for this incident...never mind the financial loss!

Hi! I love my LG refrigerator! It is the best refrigerator I have ever owned! The temperature in the whole refrigerator is pretty much consistent. The drawers are a nice size. Easy to find things. The freezer makes ice cubes well. The setup inside the freezer area is nice. The overall look of the refrigerator is nice! I have the French doors and many years later, the doors still line up well!! The stainless appearance is a nice color and has held up nicely! And never had anything wrong or to be fixed.

Called LG and was told to call a service company. Was given the number. Called the company and was told by them they have not did service for LG over 5 years and told LG to take them off the list. Called back to LG. Got the same number. Explained to them they do not service LG anymore. Was the told they cannot find anyone in our area. After two days of phone calls was given a number to someone called. He came out. Had never worked on LG before. Didnt know how he was getting paid. Call LG to help walk him through the repair. They told us it was a fan and will order it 4 days later. Still no word. Called LG. Was told the part will ship today. Refrigerator is still down. Will have to wait until next week to see if it gets repaired. I will never buy appliance or any big ticket item again from Lowes or LG or anything LG sells. Will stay with Kenmore or with a company that offers local service.

I purchased this expensive front loading washer/dryer set from Sears 3 years ago. I bought the extended warranty! And within 6 months, the washer (which smelled terribly moldy inside) would not drain. I read the manual, opened the little door at the bottom left, pulled out the hose and drained the machine. It took a long time! It happened several more times over the years. I would call for service under warranty and the repairman would do the same thing I did, but never really FIXED the problem, which SHOULD NOT HAPPEN over and over. Is there a recall of this machine or permanent fix of this problem? Has anyone else had this happen? I’ve had it with LG products!! What to do?

We have an LG refrigerator. Now on 3rd compressor in 8 months! 4 the compressor in total. 4/22/20 repair man came out, instead of replacing compressor like he should have he injected it with coolant or something..he wouldnt say. Yesterday we lost all of our food for the 2nd time...since owning this fridge. I called 5 times yesterday trying to get tech back out before we lost our food, and trying to get a return phone call. Worst products and even worse customer service. I think a class action lawsuit needs to be considered for them selling junk refrigerators.

Purchased an LG front load wash machine July 2013. Unless the wash machine is running the door is left open. We are having terrible mold issues. I can clean the mold off of the rubber seal where it is visible but there is a lot of mold where the seal meets the drum and the rubber does not fold back. I have tried cleaning it with a toothbrush and bleach since my finger barely fits in the space but the smell is still horrible and there is no way to wipe the mold out of the small space. I know the problem isnt detergent because I only use one pod per load and dont use fabric softener. I would definitely not recommend an LG front load washer!!!

We bought a LG LDF7561ST dishwasher just over a year ago, started having issues with it not draining. Had the tech come out - said the hose was clogged, worked for one load. Second load did the same thing. He came out again. He said its the pump, replaced it when the part came in. Again worked for one load and second load wont drain. Then he replaced the control board still doing the same thing. Now he says he doesnt really know whats wrong so now hes blaming the problem on our plumbing in the house. My house is 12 years old, never a problem with anywhere else and the kitchen sink drains perfectly fine. Still not fixed, had a Maytag in there for 11 years and never a problem. DO NOT BUY LG DISHWASHERS!

I purchased my LG dryer model DLEX4270 and immediately I noticed the lint screen didnt fit the slot perfectly. I went ahead and dried clothes in it anyway. Some of the clothes became wrapped around the corner of the screen and caused them to stretch out to a point that they arent wearable. I contacted LG to send a new screen and was informed that I would have to pay for it. Now the screen has actually cracked and smells like its going to catch on fire. So, I ordered a new 1 and the same thing has happened again. Really poor design!!

Bought April 2013. Drying fault reported November 2013. Machine blew up/imploded February 2013. After 3 engineer visits that took 2 months to complete the machine was deemed repaired (engineer 1 guessed the fault wrong, engineer 2 guessed the fault right but instead of logging it he marked the job as complete, engineer 3 brought the right part and recommissioned the machine).Soon after during a fast spin cycle the machine exploded. By that I mean that it spun out of control at 1400 RPM, a bracket broke, the motor is broken, the drum is broken and in all I have a ruined appliance - what would have happened if my terrified wife had not been there to hit the power supply off (not to mention what could have happened to her)? The machine did not cut itself out. The 4th engineer found essential fixing screws were not where they should be ... did engineer 3 fail to correctly put the machine back together, or did LG supply a dangerously defective machine?I would be able to answer these questions if LG showed any interest at all in handling my complaints. After being escalated numerous times to supervisors we have never heard from a supervisor. We have never received an apology. We are forced to accept the same sub-contracted repair company to tinker with this appliance. I have told the supplier that I am not accepting anymore repairs and I am demanding a refund. This is spiraling into a court case. This machine cost 600. It is meant to be the best. Instead, it broke down within the first year and the after sales warranty service has been appalling. Their telephone number costs money to ring, it inevitably means a lengthy wait and discussion, the person at their end has no authority other than to follow a script, their supervisors make no attempt to communicate to us, their repair service is awful (4 engineers!!! and after the 3rd the machine exploded!).I rang their head office and the abrupt receptionist repeatedly told me to speak to customer service about my problem and that they do not give out names ... the senior managers are ring fenced in hiding from customers who are thoroughly fed up with their service. I tried publicly shaming them into giving me what they legal have to. Their Facebook team ignored me and their Twitter team gave me the link to their website. Seriously, this is a company that shows no interest in customer service. If they did, then I would not be in this situation.(And for info, the initial fault is a drying fault. The machine vents the steam during the drying cycle via the water waste pipe. Before it gets there it passes through an internal chamber and takes with it all the lint, hair and other debris collected in a drying cycle. However, that muck instead of being discharged settles on the inside of this chamber. It builds up and then blocks the chamber. This then means the machine can NOT remove the steam generated during a drying cycle so the clothes just become so hot that they will burn skin - proof being when my wife burnt herself on the machine. Now, being a simple customer I of course cant state the obvious that this is a fundamental design flaw. I have to PAY for a qualified engineer to inspect the machine and they have to write a report to state this. 1 - I have to PAY! 2 - What independent engineer is going to do that against a mega corporation?)I will never buy LG again and their level of customer service has pushed me to channel my anger into putting an objective and correct review of them on any review site I can find. Not to mention an exponential Facebook network. They just do not care.

I was fairly happy with my LG washing machine for one year. Then it that stopped working. It wasnt the typical problem Im told (e.g. pump) and seems to be electrical. Its been 10+ weeks of calls, messages, visits. They have the wrong part listed in their manual so they dont know how to identify the part on my machine they needs to replace (fail). And they wont authorize a replacement of the machine (fail). No resolution, or hope for one, and no one to speak with that can actually help.

Bought a top of the line LG washer. Washes regular loads of clothing well -- HOWEVER -- do NOT plan to wash sheets or mattress pads! No matter how I balanced the load, the machine cannot get through the spin cycle. This morning, I have taken some out (that didnt help) -- added the removed blanket back (that didnt work - no matter how I repositioned the items) -- put the first piece back and added additional sheets, hoping that would enable the machine to spin (nope - still wont spin!) I replaced my older Maytag front loader with this LG one and am SOOOO sorry we did! Please pay attention to the other reviewers advising against purchasing one of these LG washing machines! They are not exaggerating! This is a nightmare! LG serviceman could not help -- told me to only place items that fill the washer 2/3s full. Doing with this with bedding only makes the unbalance worse. Not sure what Im going to do with the wet mess I have in my laundry room at this point! YOUVE BEEN WARNED!

Both this product and customer service were awful. Bought fridge brand new, and the Ice machine never worked. Customer service sent two different technicians with over 5 different parts plus a new fridge door, in a span of five service calls and could not fix the problem. After the hassle of trying to get a replacement, they denied it to me and are just reimbursing me the money, not taking into consideration that I paid on a credit card, accumulated interest AND had paid extra for installment. Both this product and LG were of very poor quality. NEVER using their services or products again.

I have raised a complaint on my recently bought LG washing machine direct drive on 24th December. LG service had come on 26th and said the panel has to be replaced and they have to get the panel from Cochin. Next day I called them due to lack of response and they said it has to arrive from Noida. Today we called and they said that part is no longer available. I trusted LG and purchased this product. Now I regret it. I suggest if LG has no commitment at making quality products then give me a temporary washing machine until the repair is over. I had a useless customer care experience. Only fake promises and nothing else. I have had same experiences with LG Refrigerator and Microwave oven which too have repair issues. I quit LG.

My LG french door is only 2 years old and the refrigerator section stopped cooling. The freezer compartment continues to keep my food cold and frozen. We contacted customer service and had a very challenging time explaining the customer service rep what the problem was. Finally, he said he would have a repair company contact us. The repair company that contacted us is 4 hours away!!! And only service the area I live in once a week. They did work on the refrigerator and determined that a part had to be ordered for it. The repair company said they would contact us as soon as the part arrived. We are now in our 4th week without refrigeration!!! Yes, we had to go through the holidays using coolers and have lost so much costly food! My husband just contacted the repair company again and was again told that they would call us as soon as the part came in. I WILL NEVER BUY AN LG REFRIGERATOR AGAIN.

Ever since we purchased the machine (a birthday present that was supposed to make life easier) we have suffered from clothes that stink, even right out of the washer. We tried changing detergents. No good. We purchased cleaning solvents from the store and ran cleaning cycles, good for one wash. Then the stink is back. The company says to leave the door open and wipe the inside rubber gasket dry after each use. Leaving the door open is not really an option and it blocks the hallway. I read that there are multiple complaints concerning the rubber gasket and stink from LG, and their overall response is the same as what they told me. I am more than willing to group together and go after the company for these machines. What a hunk of junk.

We bought the LFX31925ST 3 years ago, meaning its out of warranty. Last week, error dH showed up. We did research, learned that it means the defrost heater is not working well and had the unit reset by unplugging for a few minutes. It worked for 2 days. This morning, the freezer at the bottom is totally watery. The freezer has gone out!!! The thought of having to call for service on top of our daily responsibilities, not to mention the cost to fix, just bothers us. We had been Whirlpool fans for over 30 years, never any problems with fridge nor washing/drying machines. They worked until we want a new look for our house. We changed to this LG fridge for their large capacity of 31 cubic feet, but...lesson learned...we will never buy LG again. We will also make sure our friends and families learn from our experience with the low quality of this LG brand. We were a lot smarter when we continued to buy Sony TV brand over Samsung. Our brother is having big problem with his Samsung TV!!! Household appliances should bring comfort, not trouble like this. I realize now that there are others who have similar with LG brand products. LG needs to improve the quality of their product or at least, go out of their way to offer service for their fast-failing products, or they will go out of business soon, which we wont be surprised! Whirlpool, Frigidaire, Maytag, Sony, and other long time name brands are the way to go. I hope this wont happen to anyone else.

My refrigerator stopped working on July 5th. I contacted LG the next day and the soonest they could have one of their certified repair vendors out was July 8th. At that time they determined it was the compressor which was still covered by warranty. They ordered the part and we were given the runaround. One day the part is being shipped, the next days its on back-order. After 2 weeks and too many phone calls to count we are told that that part is discontinued and they would have to research to see what to do. WHY DO YOU DISCONTINUE A PART ON A REFRIGERATOR THAT IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY???2 weeks ago they said the part was being shipped and should be in on July 30th. Today is August 8th and we are told today the part should be in by the end of the week - August 12th. As of now I have been without a refrigerator for 5 WEEKS!!! We looked into the part ourselves and found out that we could order the part online and get it installed tomorrow but LG refuses to reimburse us for the part which is the warranty item. We asked them why they couldnt order from this company and they said they dont do that. They offered no pro-rated refund on my fridge as they initially discussed so Im stuck with either sitting another week without a refrigerator in the middle of the summer or I have to buy the part myself and pay for the WHOLE THING or go out and buy an entirely new refrigerator. How would they feel if their family didnt have a refrigerator for over 5 weeks. Thank God I have a wonderful neighbor who is letting me use her garage refrigerator. I am also out several hundred $$ in food that I have had to throw out because there was nowhere for me to store it and keep it cold for this extended period of time. NEVER EVER BUY AN LG APPLIANCE!!!

Loved the look of this range but told salesman I wanted self clean. He said look it has Easy Clean. Not the same I found out 2 months later. Also my service book states I get grill pan for top of stove and small cleaning kit which I found out months later and was told not for my model... But the worst is my oven is chipping enamel - golf ball size chip. Also told not under warranty. This is a defect not warranty problem. So now it’s my problem to replace this part on bottom of oven. Is about $180.00 and grill pan is about 60.00 plus cleaning kit about $10.00 so I need to spend about 250.00 to get my range back to new. Remember this range is only 18 months old... My husband wanted a GE but I like how this looked. Wished I listened but won’t have this range long at this rate because it’s hard to get parts from overseas and customer service sucks and so does the company. Be WARNED!!!!!

I bought a LG Refrigerator with Linear compressor on 2015 and last May 12th it stop cooling, I called LG service support and they told me one Technician will be checking the unit on May 25th, I had to be off from my job 1/2 day and the guy never came, I called LG again asking what happens with the tech and they has no explanation why the tech never went to check the unit, they asked me again to wait 3 to 4 more days so they can try to find another repair shop locally and suggested if I can get one close to my area they will pay for the parts and labor.I found one repair shop with a open appointment for the next day and after I called LG to confirm the appointment they denied the Sears shop because they has to pay an additional amount for their first visit, I had to wait 4 days and today called again and they says I have to wait 3 more days because one of their shops rejected the order??? This is ridiculous. Why customers has to be dealing with this kind of incompetence, 2 weeks without a refrigerator with children at home and with this pandemic forcing us to go to the stores every day is not what I was expecting from the LG company. 2 weeks later and still I have no solution for repair this refrigerator.

Then was told I needed a control board which was on backorder. Part was coming from Korea and no one knew when it would be arriving. How can LG sell products and cant supply parts? The model range that I have is still actively being sold in the stores. How can they sell products without being able to obtain parts? I gave away my old stove which never broke down. They dont make products like they used to. It was hard to go thru the holidays without a range. I will never buy an LG product again. All of our appliances and most of our TVs are LG products. They will all be replaced with another brand when the time comes. The Linear Compressor in the french door refrigerators are known defects. Good news is that a class action lawsuit was filed against LG. I had mine diagnosed by a local repairman. He says he sees at least (2) of them every week and sometimes several more. Unfortunately, he was not an LG contractor so he could not get the compressor directly. I would have to contact LG and get authorization letter he can use to order the part and I would have to pay him for labor on installation. I didnt want to have to deal with LG (customer service sucks!!). I called their helpline and explained that I needed someone to replace the compressor that was covered under parts warranty. They said I would have to pay another diagnostic fee. The the tech could schedule the repair. A 2500 refrigerator that lasted (5) years and now I am paying to have it fixed. The Kenmore in my garage is over 20 years old and I have never had an issue with it. Fool me once, shame on you - fool me twice, shame on me. I will not buy an LG appliance again. I bought LG refrigerator from Costco back in Feb 24 2016. It was 30 cubic feet and I paid almost $2700. Nightmare started couple of weeks ago and it is ongoing. Refrigerator stop cooling, I called lg. They told me to reset and wait for 8 hrs which I did. Nothing happened, called again. They said it suppose to be 24 hrs wait, I waited 24 hrs. Nothing happened, called back again. They send the lg technician. He said faulty compressor in that kind of fridge with tons of other complains. He said they will take 6 weeks or more to repair due to so many complaints and back order on compressor. We have a tiny refrigerator right now we are using as a backup, but it can only hold milk and butter, I called costco, explained my situation to Isaac one of the manager in Victorville store near my house, and ask him to make a exception returning it due to such a long time for repair and upcoming holidays, he consulted his superior and they declined to return, but he said he contacted lg and told them about the time frame for repair, lg told him they will try to find a repair shop which can repair it sooner.Oh by the way the lg technician told me that lg used plastic ring instead of metal in compressor to save few bucks. That ring melts quickly. Thats why they are having so many complaints, according to that lg technician compressor supposed to last for 10 years. I am still waiting the response from costco and lg. My advice to consumers not buy large appliances from costco due to their scam. 100% satisfaction guarantee policy which only cover for 90 day. Since the machine was about a year old we contacted LG. Within days they sent out a technician, who took pictures of the damage and forwarded them to LG. He also unplugged the machine and locked it so we could not use it. For the next month and a half we contact LG on what they would do. After about 10 phone calls with questions about what is the serial #, which the tech sent them the first day, to where did you buy it and do you have a receipt. Again all info they track as the manufacturer. They did refer us to a Mr. ** who did respond to emails, But it wasnt his department. We finally contacted the Presidents Office and that got a response now they are offering a free repair or a discount on a new unit. Nothing about the $300 worth of damage to our wall or the extensive damage to the dryer unit. The whole process seems to be designed to have you stay on hold until you give up and dealing with people with a poor understanding of English, to pointing you to the wrong people. We are 45 days later and now the President is involved. Hopefully we will get our repairs soon.

I bought my LG washer, model #WM2016CW, on 5/17/2008. I have noticed all along that the clothes have this odor to them and then it transfers to the dryer but I kept doing the cleaning cycle and it worked for about a week then back to that smell. I tried every HE detergent I could find but the same results. But today was a whole new problem. I put the laundry in and went about doing my cleaning. I went down to the laundry room to change the clothes into the dryer and there was a mess on the floor; it was glass. I thought maybe a light broke but this was thick clear glass. I could not believe what I saw. The glass front of the washer burst into pieces and I had chunks of glass everywhere. The strange thing is that the washer had finished its cycle and the clothes were all done so this must have happened after the clothes finished. There was not a drop of water anywhere. I am still in shock that this happened but with LG anything can happen. I am told I will have to pay for a service man plus parts and LG will not give me any answers. They told me to call Sears, the place where I purchased it, and go through them. Sears gave me the runaround also. They told me that I would have to pay $75 just for a person to come out to look at it and then it could cost up to $350 depending on the cause. The whole door may have to be replaced and they have to try to find the cause which it sounds like they dont have a clue. So the washer is sitting in the laundry room and I am out looking for a new washer. I do not trust this washer at all after the explosion. I am writing my Attorney General and letting him know about this and many other things about LG products. I also own an LG gas stove. It is almost two years old and I have had LG people replacing the glass window. This has been ongoing since I bought the stove. There is a leak in the glass oven door and it just keeps fogging up and food particles get in between the glass door and oven door. What a piece of junk that cost me $1100. LG refuses to do anything about it so my husband and I keep taking the glass off and cleaning it and it is not an easy thing to do. I will never buy another LG product and I will tell everyone I know not to buy LG. They sent one guy over and he put the glass back wrong. All I can say is that LG is getting a bad reputation and if they dont get it right, then they will soon be out of business. I just finished reading 800 reviews of LG ovens and they were not good at all; most of them real bad. What is wrong with the LG company? Are they that stupid not to see what people are saying about their product? I will try to find a new washer made in the good old USA.

Not satisfied with my LG Refrigerator #LFX25991ST. I purchased this refrigerator in February 17, 2013 and now the freezer/and main food compartment doesnt cool or freeze. However, the interior light does work. Called LG and they advised me that a Tech would be out in two days to check it out. So we bought ice. The Tech did arrive in two days, checked it out and found that the compressor had failed. My Fridge is still under warranty and should not have a problem getting it fixed, but its new. I kind of look at the fridge as buying a car, turns bad there is a lemon law that protects the customer. The compressor is like the engine of a car going bad. Well, the Tech did call in to Atlanta, Georgia to request a new compressor and should arrive in two days. He said it would take three (3) hours to replace. We will see this Thursday, Jul 25, 2013, if he is correct or even shows up.

I got my LG washer in 08/09. Its now 3 to 4 years old. I had paid good money for this thing. It started banging and we thought it was the bearings. We tested it to check if it was the bearings that seemed to be the problem. We ordered the parts costing to some $80. My husband and son, who do small engine repair work, took everything apart to install them. Well, once the bucket was removed we found out that the T-bracket that is attached to the drum was also completely rotted. Seriously, they gave warranty for the bucket but not for the bracket. So even though it says, Stainless steel bucket and warranted, the bracket is not. Avoid LG at all costs! Waste of my money!

I bought the machine two months ago and noticed my white clothing was coming out gray. I changed the soap and the settings (chose hot and heavily soiled), and it’s the same thing. I opened the machine during the wash cycle, and the water was consistently cold while the water in the sink by the machine is very hot. The technician from the store where I purchased the machine came out and found it working correctly; however, he also agreed that the water would not get hot. I called LG and discovered that the CW in the model number stands for cold water. In other words, this machine is designed to use lukewarm or cold water. That’s strange! I thought hot water was helpful in the washing process. I am now doing battle to exchange this ridiculously designed machine for one that will actually clean my clothing, and I wont give up until I have a replacement. No one in the appliance store understood what CW meant. They thought the W was for white in color. Good grief! By the way, the dryer isnt wonderful either.

We purchased this refrigerator on 05/24/18 (paid over $2000 for it) and on 07/23/18, it stopped dispensing water, the ice melted, it stopped cooling, and cost us over $250 of spoiled groceries. We contacted LG and they sent out a technician who perform a reset and stated that it will start working in about a week. We contacted LG again to request a loner fridge until ours starts working again. Jovy from LG told us that they cant do anything about it and we just have to wait until they fix it. Very poor customer service from LG. We also submitted a request for a refund for $250 of spoiled food. They told us that all managers were busy and would call us back later in the day. They never called us back. We havent had this refrigerator 90 days and its already giving us problems and costing us money.

My husband and I purchased an LG appliance package from Best Buy (about $5k) when we bought our new house in May 2018. It included a refrigerator, stove, microwave and dishwasher. In March 2020 while self-isolating during the Coronavirus pandemic our refrigerator compressor went out, resulting in the loss of around $250 worth of food. This is bad enough, but it happened with a food shortage going on because of the Coronavirus panic-buying that is happening everywhere. We had to wait 3 days before we could get a repairman out to us. Thankfully he had a compressor; it was under warranty, and was successfully replaced. The fact that LG KNEW that they had faulty compressors in their refrigerators, and that neither Best Buy nor LG contacted us to notify us of this defect is really a problem. We are out the $150 that it cost for the repairman, as well as the cost of the food we lost. I will never buy another LG product since it appears that they dont care about the consumers, only about their bottom line. If youre thinking about buying an LG appliance, DO YOUR RESEARCH FIRST and read reviews.

I bought LG fridge in Nov. 2014. It was dead by the end of June. Im not sure because the reading temp. at the door is still at 37/-2 degrees. I found out it was not working when all my food are rotten in the bottom freezer and smelly in the fridge. I called customer service on 7/10 who gave 2 repair service phone numbers. I contacted them and both didnt have any opening til next month. I called LG again, they gave me another 2 names. I asked if I can call any service that will offer earliest service. She said no because the service need to be LG authorized. I then called 1 of them. The tech came on 7/12 and found the compressor is ineffective. He charged $100 for trip/diagnose. If I have him repaired the fridge he will deduct this charge into the total labor which is $485.I called the customer service again to see if they can reimburse me for the cost of the compressor so I can buy a new fridge instead of paying that much for repair. They said no and at this time they offer me the flat rate repair of $362 for one-time service 60-day warranty or $485/1 year. I asked them if I can use the tech who diagnosed the problem before, they said no because he is not authorized by LG. Thats such a lie (They give me the referral). I asked why not offer me this at first. He said he didnt know. Anyway, I ordered the $362 repair and they charged up front. A confirmed email was sent and schedule for repair on7/17 between 8-12 pm. I took a day off to wait for them. Nobody showed up nor called. I called customer service. After being on hold for awhile, she said the service tech was behind so he couldnt make it.Being asked what will they do to correct it, she said she will send email to higher department to find another service for me. She didnt offer refund nor feel sorry about the situation. I asked to talk to the manager (direct number was requested). I called only to talk to a rep. again, go through all issues again. He put me on hold for over 20 still no response. After reading all complaints about LG. I found out that all issues lead to one result that LG just tried to drive customer around and postponing the solution. I have tried several times to call the supervisor just to wait for 20+. I tried to live chat, after being transferred to repair service dept., I waited there for 30 nobody responded. I emailed them only to get sorry for your inconvenience, we will take your input to improve our service. No problem was solved. Now I dont know what they plan to do on my repair order. No phone call nor email. I think Im going to call the federal trade and general state attorney to report this issue. My first tech told me that dont be tricked by the long term warranty. LG and Samsung parts are very hard to find and easy to break. This is the worst appliance brand and customer service I have ever seen. Im so upset that I spent that much money to buy this crap for over 2 years. I wonder why they still exist on the market. If I can give 0 star, I would.

Purchased LG washer/dryer set 18 months ago and it has to be the worst ever!! Washer: clothes come out partially dry, with new spots that it didnt have going in, lint from some unknown origin, still soiled. Steam dryer: turns off after 2 minutes and clothes still wet so we have to use timed drying. And dont use steam function because clothes come out soaked, yes, from the d-r-y-e-r. We thought we were getting the top of the line water efficient appliance and ended up getting nothing but frustration. Nothing efficient when you have to wash everything on bulky/heavy soil just to get it somewhat clean and then to add the need to wash several times to get them clean only adds insult to injury. Never again will I purchase another LG washer/dryer and wondering why they are not being held accountable for such a lousy product!!!

Less than 4 year old refrigerator died on 5/24. Took FOREVER to get techs to take the situation seriously and get repair tech scheduled. After 2 failed attempts, an independent non-LG tech finally diagnosed compressor failure. LG phone techs may be trained to downplay the situation, because the repair tech said he diagnoses 5 and replaces at least 3 of these a day. They cannot keep up with the work and LG wont hire more repairmen. Took another 5 days for parts to arrive and then schedule a repair day. Meanwhile I am living with NO FRIDGE and now LG says they will NOT reimburse me for the mini fridge we had to buy (not to mention all the bagged ice Ive had to purchase too!) The best we can do is send you a check for $100 for food reimbursement. I spent $1500 on a refrigerator from you and thats the best you can do???Compressor was finally replaced today and repairman said, I dont trust the new compressor either, so dont put any food in it for at least 48 hours till youre sure its operating correctly. Yikes. This has been such a disillusioning experience, I have praised LG products to anyone asking for recommendations, but I will not anymore due to the TERRIBLE customer service I received!! Refrigerators, and appliances in general, are designed these days to break and NOT be repaired. If thats the case, then the price should reflect a disposable product, not the thousands they do cost. LG is not standing behind their product, but rather hiding behind untrained techs who speak so politely, yet do not disseminate truthful information to frustrated customers looking for help from the company they trusted with their hard-earned money. You have lost a long-time loyal customer with many LG products in our home, shame on you...

I purchased the LG French door/bottom freezer refrigerator in December 2011. May 2012 was my first call for repair. I found the freezer totally defrosted all my food and the refrigerator was hot. I called LG and got a customer service rep that couldnt care less that I lost a lot of food in a brand new $2600 refrigerator and the best they could do was send a repairman out in a couple of days. The repairman came out and replaced parts and boards. The problem has to do with the fan, I was told. Now its August 2012 and I awoke to a freshly stocked refrigerator once again hot and all frozen food defrosted. Once again I called LG and got a customer service rep (if you want to call him that) that was rude and non-empathetic about the situation. He proceeded to tell me that he sent a work order to the repair people and I will need to call them in half an hour to confirm they received the work order for repair. They call that customer service. LG knows there is a big problem with these refrigerators. I cant believe after reading all these complaints that nothing has been done about LG. Will NEVER, ever buy any LG product ever AGAIN. LG stands for Lousy Garbage. Bought it from Sears 2 years ago with a 5 year extended warranty. Broke down 2 years to the day from when I took delivery. There were ongoing problems with UE (Unbalanced Load) errors. Loads took 2-plus hours to run and fabric was left coated with soap. Parts required for the repair were not available and then a part was back-ordered from the manufacturer. The repair is going to be a 2 man job. Sears couldnt do anything because it was extended warranty even though the repairman showed up in a Sears truck. I demanded a replacement washer and was told only the technician can authorize it. They refused to give me contact information for the technician. Nothing but platitudes and the runaround from Customer Dis-service.Total time without a working LG washer: 5 weeks. Unacceptable. Bought a Huebsch Commercial washer. Loads are done with 2 rinses in 35 minutes. It cost extra but this thing is built like a tank. Comes with a 15 year warranty on the transmission, 5 year warranty on the motor and 3 year total warranty. LG is only 1 year. This washer will probably be good for 20-25 years.

I purchased the range in August 2013. In October 2014 after the 1 year warranty was over, it stopped working. I have a home warranty which covers appliances so I called them and a technician came out. The mother board needed replacing and was ordered by the technician. After 2 weeks it was replaced. 1 monthafter replacing it stopped again and this time I called the technician because it was 30 days after installation. He tells me I need an electrician because the switch in my electrical box needs to be replaced, its loose. The electrician comes and checks and says it does not need replacing because he now has the stove working after. Now this week I have another issue. Left the oven light on overnight and nothing is working except the clock. Waiting for a technician. In all fairness to LG, I own two other LG appliances, a refrigerator and dishwasher and Im praying they are better quality than the stove. I am very disappointed and will not purchase another LG product. Wish I had read these reviews before purchasing.

I had to put makeshift knob type stops on burner knobs. A small bump turns them on. I cant believe there is not a recall based on this serious safety flaw! Also the upper oven does not cook evenly, the back side burns food.

LED lighting, touchable black stainless steel, the layout of the shelving and 10 year limited warranty. I have used LG products before and have always been satisfied. The refrigerator was also on sale for a great price. I would recommend this product to friends and family. It had most of the features I was looking for. I have been very happy with all the features of this product and cannot think of any thing that I would change or add. LG products are very well made. I looked at several other brands and styles and choose the LG. I really liked the sleek look. The shelving layout was better than what I was looking for and the price was great. I was very happy with this product. I would say all my expectations and then some were met.

Purchased this refrigerator with high hopes due to the design and features
Purchased this refrigerator with high hopes due to the design and features but thats where it stopped. We have had numerous service issues about cooling and freezing over past 2 years and now they cannot repair. After calling for supervisor he tells me 2-3 more weeks for an approval to replace...we have been without this appliance working for 11 weeks with 8 repair visits. I will never buy anything LG builds ever again, horrible experience.

Do not buy an LG washer. We bought a high end LG front load washer and dry
Do not buy an LG washer. We bought a high end LG front load washer and dryer in December 2009. We were getting LE Error Codes after about 2 years. The washer fills up and would not drain. We did troubleshoot the washer according to the manual but it didnt solve the problem. We even tried to find a repair man in Calgary but none of them worked on LG washers.Trail Appliances, where we bought the unit, is going to charge $90 for a serviceman to come out. Then $85 per hour to assess the problem. This is before we even pay for the repair! It will be cheaper to just replace the unit than repair it.Avoid LG if you want to avoid headaches and costly repairs.
