We have had our front load LG washer and dryer for about 15 years and have only had minor problems over the years. They were warrantied for 10 years but have outlasted the warranty by at least 5 years. The only problems were easily fixed by our appliance repair people.

I purchased the LG washing machine WT1101C - top loading, glass top - in July 2013. I am very disappointed with this product. I have yet to wash a load that does not become unbalanced, and I have tried several different combinations of laundry items. The machine WILL rebalance the load - but it does this by jiggling and REfilling with water and spinning again. That process can be repeated as many times as necessary unless I intervene and redistribute the clothes myself. One day I left it alone to see what would happen and it washed for 2 hours! Energy Efficient?? No way - it uses too much water and takes too long even on the supposedly shortest cycles. Im going to donate it and get a brand I have had before and that has an agitator. The dryer works fine.

LG wt5480cw top load washer - We bought what we thought large cap. top load not cheap washer. We have had it for a year and cannot wash hardly any load-large bedding or just towels without it having a balance problem and it stopping and refilling and trying again. The loads can take several hours if you do not stand there and keep trying to re-shift clothes. We have an extended warranty which we are sorry to have as we are close to accepting our loss and getting a standard machine as our old Kenmore never had this problem for 15 yrs. What can we do?

Purchased LG 4 piece kitchen bundle - Black Stainless Steel; fridge (LMXC23746D), stove, micro and dishwasher. Ive noticed for the past few months that paint is peeling around the handles, borders/edges of the doors. I called LG for the fridge, I had to purchase extended warranty for 60 days for them to come out and check the fridge. Technician took pics, dont know what they going to do to repair, Im guessing Im going to have purchase extended warranty for micro, stove, they have same problem/issue. Anybody have problems or issues as me?Updated on 5/19/2017: Technician came out 5/8/17, took pictures of the refrigerator. Today I called them since they havent called regarding issue. I spoke to customer service. They said cosmetics issues is not covered. So my issue will not be fixed!!! Not only is the refrigerator, but the stove, microwave too! Call an attorney? Im still paying for this LG bundle!! Help!!! Confirmation # with LG - **.

Recalled for the off balance spin issue; repair took a week or two, then after software upgrade, was told I could not use the washer for washing some items that I need to wash in it - the reason I originally bought the machine in the first place. No apparent solution to this issue - only to purchase another machine. After this experience, would NOT purchase another LG washing machine...

Like others have mentioned, the lint filter on the dryer lifts up on the corner where the clothes land as they tumble. This causes clothes to catch on the corner of the filter and get destroyed. This also allows more lint to get through past the filter, causing lint to buildup inside the dryer and in the ducts leading outside your home. Weve lost countless articles of clothing. We have replaced the lint filter, but it still sticks out and catches clothes.

LG refrigerator compressor out & Home Depot protection plan - I’ve only had my LG refrigerator model#LFXC24726D FOR ABOUT 20 MONTHS. I was not expecting this to happen so soon. Luckily I have the Home Depot protection plan so it shouldn’t cost me anything out of pocket. But their service tech only comes through my area once a week and of course that was yesterday. They’re supposed to be finding someone else but have 48 hours to respond to me. I’m afraid it will be a week before anyone even comes out. It’s just extremely inconvenient to not have a refrigerator when you have teen boys and a family to feed. I’m already nervous about this happening again due to previous reviews of these LG refrigerators. We’ll see what happens.

We are an LG household. Washer, dryer, and refrigerators. Our main kitchen refrigerator, a 2016 model, stopped working in July 2019. First failure. LG send out their authorized repair technician who came and changed the compressor. It worked for about 2 weeks and died. That was the second failure. LG sent out another technician who said the previous technician had done an incomplete repair, he said he completed it, and left. The refrigerator worked for a few more days, then died again. That was the third failure. The fridge has now been non-functional for over a week, and the repairman is not scheduled to come for another week. It is not good to send repairmen who are unable to perform a satisfactory repair the first time around, not to speak of the extreme inconvenience of losing three refrigerators worth of food (from three failures in the span of a month). Looking back, I would have much preferred a replacement machine after the first machine failed, or a refund after the second failure. We are now on the third failure and not thinking good thoughts of the LG refrigerator company.

We purchased a top of the line LG refrigerator Model #LFX28978ST from Home Depot on July 4th, 2012. On December 23, 2012, it quit working. It is now January 21, 2013 and I am still without a refrigerator! I called the LG Hotline on December 23rd and was told that they could have their certified repairman out on the 28th of December. He came out and told me we needed a new compressor; he didnt carry this part on his truck so it would have to be ordered. The compressor would take a week to get here. On 1/3/2013, he returned with the compressor, installed it, added Freon to the refrigerator and stayed until he felt the unit started to cool. He told us to wait 24-48 hours. Being a little gun shy about losing all of my food the first time (I had the refrigerator stocked for the holidays), I waited a little longer to go out, purchase more food and sure enough on 1/7/13, the refrigerator stopped cooling again. I called LG and was told that the repairman that had been out before was off for two weeks, and that I needed to call a different authorized repair shop. I did and was told by the person at that repair shop that they did not work on compressors and would not come out. I called LG back again, spoke with a different person and was told that our original repair person could be out on 1/10/2013. He came back out and after trying different things, we were told that the refrigerator could not be fixed and that it would have to be replaced. He gave us a fax number to fax everything to LG, which I did the next morning. I received a call from the repair center the next day and was told by Barbara from LG Repair Center that I would need to email the paperwork to her. I told her that I had faxed everything the day before. She told me that was just a general fax number and to email everything to her at an email address that she would email to me. I tried a few times to email the paperwork to her only to get error messages; the email would not go through. I called Barbara back and she gave me her fax number, so I once again faxed all of the paperwork to her. I received a call from Barbara the next day to tell me that they would have to get a replacement refrigerator from their LG warehouse, and that it would take 7-10 business days before someone would contact me to set up a delivery date. I asked her where their warehouse was located, and she told me TX; I told her that I lived in TX! I asked why so long, and she told me that they have to tell everyone that it will be 7-10 business days for someone to contact me to set up delivery. I have been a month without a refrigerator. I have spent more money on eating out and buying ice this one month than what I spend in a year’s time. Not only does LG not care, they dont care!I will never buy another LG for as long as I live. I wish that I would have seen this blog before I bought this piece of crap. I will tell all of my friends and family about this. I am hoping that they tell all of their friends and family. Also, be aware that LG is making refrigerators for Kenmore - this is from the mouth of the LG repairman!

I have an LG French Door Refrigerator LFC25760SB with bottom drawer freezer. Today we discovered that the 2 light bulbs have been staying on even though the doors are closed and the plastic enclosure was extremely hot - both light bulbs blew out at the same time. Now I have read all about this and find out this has been going on in these refrigerators for years and a class action suit was filed and has been settled and closed. Yet we have never had a recall notice or a notice of the lawsuit even though I registered our purchase with LG - so we have no recourse and are stuck with a $1,700 refrigerator with no light inside - not to mention we had to have new tracks put in the freezer door in the first month we owned it and the door still doesnt go in and out smoothly. I would never buy an LG product again - they are complete junk!! And companies will do nothing for you!!

This machine does not move clothes from the top to bottom and there have been times I take clothes out and there are dry areas - water hasn’t even touched those areas. Whatever is on the top stays there - just shifts from side to side unlike the video. I’ve watched it. It defeats the purpose of HE to use the water plus feature - it’s the only way clothes have a chance to get fully wet. I had a front loader previously for 10 years and wanted to give this a chance. It’s awful and an agitator machine is better than this. Extremely disappointed in LG. Never again.

LG WT4870C Top Load Washer - I would like to give this washer zero stars. It has to be the worst washing machine I have ever owned. The cleaning process takes much longer than the timer indicates. The clothing is not clean. I still have underarm stains, pet hairs, make-up on my clothing after a wash. The IE error comes on after each and every wash making the process longer as I have to reset it to Spin Only in order to get the clothing wrung out. I will never buy this type of non agitating agitator machine again. I wish I could get my money back but I waited too long. I hated it after the first week. The knobs were broken. Originally, I thought it was just my stove. I have since found out that this is an enormous problem for LG. I returned home over Thanksgiving to smell gas. My elderly mother had made some tea while I was at the store. She was visiting for the holiday and was unfamiliar with the stove. She thought she had turned it off, but because the knobs were spinning on the posts, the stove only appeared to be off. It was in fact filling the room with gas. While I was opening the windows, my mother was apologizing while rushing to the stove to turn it off in her embarrassment. Knowing what was about to happen, I lurched across the room and grabbed her hand before she reached the stove.Of course, if she had turned the knob at that time, it would have passed the ignition point and exploded the gas that was filling the room. Instead, I left the gas on at its lowest setting while opening all the doors and windows. 10 minutes later, when I aired the kitchen, I crouched down and turned off the stove. I wrote LG six weeks ago and they have not responded. I think many people would do what my mother nearly did and exploded their house. This product is deadly. It is just a matter of time before it kills people. LG needs to proactively seek out every stove with this defect and fix it or recall the product.

Please avoid all LG kitchen appliances if possible. Our refrigerator and dishwasher (both only 2.5 years old) has given us nothing but problem. The fridge started making a loud humming and gurgling noise intermittently about 2 months ago. Then 3 weeks ago, the freezer gave out and the following day the whole thing stopped working. Its been 3.5 weeks and we still dont have a working fridge. Apparently, all parts are shipped from Korea which takes days to weeks to get. Our service provider who was referred by Home Warranty of America (also a horrible warranty company) ordered the wrong part which will take another 7-10 days to get the part. I am livid and fed up. Also, our fickle LG dishwasher has been giving us problems since the day we moved in. It turns on when it wants to. We have to constantly reset the breaker for it to function properly.

We purchased our LG Refrigerator on 04/25/2017 and we were excited to have the French doors, added space and the two freezer doors. Our previous refrigerator (GE) is still running strong and is well over 10 years old and has had no problems. Less than 3 years of owning our LG, the freezer can no longer reach 32 degrees and the temperature in the refrigerator is 40+ and the ice maker no longer makes ice. It’s disappointing that a refrigerator less than three years old, cost $2,000 and conveniently just recently became too old for warranty coverage is now breaking down. We are currently looking at repair options and have heard it’s likely the compressor and that fix could cost $1000. We will see. I am happy though that we are fortunate to still have our GE refrigerator running strong. Disappointed in the quality and durability of our LG refrigerator. I expected more.

I just remodeled my home. They started in November, and I got to the kitchen part of it in December, and I had to go and get a new refrigerator, stove, and a microwave, so I just bought the bundle. I was gonna go with Samsung, and the lady that was at Home Depot said that LG is better and that she could give me a deal on it. I just bought the bundle of refrigerator, microwave and oven. I havent had a problem with the microwave or oven, but the refrigerator is disappointing. It was the freezer part of the refrigerator that I have a problem with. At first, I picked out one that didnt have the icemaker, and it was sold out by the time I got back to purchase it. And so, the lady set me up with the refrigerator I have now. They put it in in December, and I started having trouble and noticed some things were going on in February. Then in May, it was really not freezing the bottom half, but I like the freezer part of it. My old refrigerator had the freezer on top, and I like the bottom freezer, but it just doesnt work. I do like the icemaker feature and when it was making ice. I also like the water part of it, and then the freezer thats in the bottom. Its a nice refrigerator. It was kinda top of the line, and then the lady gave me a little bit of a discount on it, so we have then paid for it.There was a technician out here who was checking it out. LG sent him out, and they figured out it was the temperature gauge, but he said in 2020 they are coming out with the new coolant for the refrigerator. So, I dont know if that would make a difference, but it isnt gonna help me because the reason they couldnt replace that is that they said they didnt have technicians to do it, so it might be something new. Also, I just got an email from Mat, and he said theyre still figuring out whether theyre give me the refund or a replacement. I know I took a little time. I didnt know how to take pictures of my papers and download them to him. I figured that out, and I finally got it to him yesterday. He replied back that he gave it to his boss, and theyre still looking it over.

Bought a LG Dryer and washer combo in April 2015 and I am so disappointed in myself in doing so. Since I bought it I am having issues with dryer. The clothes catching the lint filter since day 1 and it has ruined so many of my clothes. I have done small loads, big loads, using protective nets for bras and fine pieces of clothing and nothing helped so far, I have not complained yet and I just dealt with it and threw the twisted clothing pieces in the garbage, every time it happened but this morning when I woke up and found the entire load of my summer clothes twisted in a giant rope look a like this brought me to an edge. The dryer filter will not completely seal and it has caught clothing on the corner and it twisted it until every piece of clothing was ruined and even opened the door of the dryer on its own. I did not where to start to unwind the clothes, this is terrible. I will NEVER, EVER buy an LG product again EVER. I was so in shock and started unwinding clothes without thinking to take a picture of that terrible sight.

I bought my LG Dishwasher March 2018, within one month the bottom rack which folds the fingers down for large pots, snapped and broke. It took 6 phone calls and 2 months to get a replacement. I was shipped 2 racks which tells you how disorganized they are. Currently I now have a dishwasher which has NO POWER! It is January 2019, so I called and they set up a service call for next week. I just received a follow up call from an LG representative asking me all the same questions that were asked when I called in. I was so frustrated with her as I asked why they are calling me again with questions that were already asked? She then said, Thank you. Have a nice day. Good grief! So fingers crossed this wont take months to get fixed!

Last year in August I replaced my LG microwave oven with an identical one (38 Litre LG Microwave Rounded Cavity Interior - Two). I dont have the exact model number but it is something like LG MS 3842 and has a 38 liter capacity. I now have to replace the one replaced under warranty in August 2013 with yet another one. Both ceased heating as per specifications and emitted a strong smell of electronics and/or wiring overheating or burning. At no stage was the oven used in a manner other than to cook vegetables and rice, the main items prepared for eating in this appliance. I am now going to replace the model with one that claims to have 7 fold Aqua Block System as a safety feature. Good luck to me!

The knobs on the LG gas range will turn on just by reaching over the stove
The knobs on the LG gas range will turn on just by reaching over the stove to get something and turning to walk away. They turn past lite and fill your house with gas. You barely touch them and they do this. This is very dangerous. I have come home 3 times in the last year with my house filled with gas. My elderly mother took a pan off the stove to wash it and then went to the living room not noticing the smell. I came home and nearly passed out when I walked to the kitchen. I see that there are many reviews with this same issue. I have called LG and they keep trying to send a technician. I have explained its not a technical issue. Is a very poor design. They will have their safety team call me within 24 hours. I think something needs done about this. People are or probably already have been killed. They certainly have to be aware of this with all the reviews I have read. Next step is to go to the News and do a demonstration so people will be aware and not purchase from this company. Like I said it has happened 3 times in my home and its dangerous. Please do not buy LG gas ranges.

I have been loading home dishwashers for over sixty years and my LGF7774 is the worst, and I must say, nearly impossible to load effectively. Because it doesn’t seem to be designed for actual dishes, it takes longer to load, as I have to move things around constantly to get them where they will actually get clean. The top rack areas for glasses seems to be slanted wrong and are the wrong width. As a result the glasses often fall over and break as I’m closing the tray. The bottom rack is even more frustrating. Those prongs that flop down to accommodate (what?), pans perhaps, may have seemed like a good idea to some engineer, but in use they plop down whether you want them to or not. The bottom of the lower rack could also use some redesigning. I have many square dishes and have to be over-cautious about seeing that the corners don’t extend downward where they will interfere with the spray arm.The dishes washed appear to be clean, but don’t smell clean. I’m asking the world of manufacturers, “If the user has to rewash things, or wash them before using a machine, how much water and electricity is that saving? And if I cover the food-left-on smell with a scented rinse does that make the dishes cleaner?” In fairness I must add that I just discovered that it has an extra rinse cycle and am at the moment trying that one out.

I purchased a new LG Range 1/12/20 and about 60 days later I was cooking some fries in the oven. I turned it up to 400 and as I was walking away the inside glass shattered into a million pieces. After cleaning up the mess I contacted Best Buy who put me in touch with LG. My complaint is not necessarily against the range but the customer service at LG. After being on hold for 1 hour and 10 minutes I was finally able to give her the information needed to get a service representative to contact me for service. She said I would be hearing from them soon to get an appointment set up. After not hearing from them in over a week I started calling again just to be on hold for over an hour the run around again. If LG is out there please contact me. I would like to use my oven again.

I purchased a DLGX3471V dryer and I have to say, I so regret tossing my perfectly good Kenmore for this piece of junk. It never fails but EVERY load I dry comes out with ripped and torn clothing from catching on the lint tray that no longer fits into the door slot. The plastic breaks apart and catches on the clothes (especially bra straps and tank tops) making them unusable. I have lost a ton of pants and shirts being mangled and ripped by the broken pieces of plastic on the lint tray. I have ordered and replaced the screen twice since it was purchased (3 screens in 4 years). Avoid LG products - hopefully whomever came up with this design no longer works for the company!

I purchased a LG refrigerator model LFXS25623S/00 in 2017. Refrigerator & freezer stopped working end of May 2020. Have been battling with LG for over a month. Last week they sent out a repairman that said it’s the compressor but he can’t fix it because it is under warranty?!? I have been given 2 case numbers because I am being sent from dept to dept with no resolution. I am bedridden due to terminal illness, my caregivers are having to bring ice every day to keep some of my meds cool and are having to bring in my meals because I lost all of my meats and no refrigerator working now to replace lost food. I’m only asking for my refrigerator to be repaired but apparently that is too daunting of a task for LG.When I call in I am put on hold to be transferred and then the call drops. This has happened numerous times. I received an email saying my case is now being turned over to the Defective Returns Dept. It has been 5 days and still no word from that Dept. I purchased this refrigerator thinking I was getting a high quality refrigerator and paid the high quality price but I am definitely not getting high quality customer service. Obviously with all the compressor issues LG knows there is a problem and should be prepared to offer resolutions in a more timely manner.

I own a LG Electric Front load washer dryer. The biggest disappointment is the Dryer Drum. I have already replaced it once. And now it is cracked again, and it is $200 just for the part. The stainless steel used is almost paper thin and always cracks near the welded seam. This is a DEFECT! I am looking for a regular steel drum in my next one, (they never cracked on me) and find it hard to even look at LG products other than matching the washer better.

LG replaced them as it was within the warranty period. That was February 12, 2011. Less than one year later, 4 of 5 knobs are again bubbled and broken. I have not phoned LG to see their response yet but regardless, clearly the quality is incredibly poor.

In January 2019 we purchased four new top-of-the-line LG appliances from Home Depot: dishwasher, oven/range/microwave and refrigerator. Within two months we had problems with the dishwasher and LG did not have the needed parts. Within the next several months we had to call for service on the oven/range (twice), on the microwave, and this week on the refrigerator. LG was extremely uncooperative in scheduling a service appointment, even after the Home Depot telephone them on our behalf. They insisted on photographs of our receipts (we have neither smart phones or the ability to transmit photos) although we gave LG THE MODEL NUMBER, SERIAL NUMBER, RECEIPT NUMBER AND DATE AND THE TELEPHONE NUMBER OF THE Home Depot store. The LG representative was rude, and even hung up on my wife. Home Depot had a similar experience, and advised us to NEVER buy an LG appliance from Home Depot in the future. Not much chance of that! We were very upset initially with our expensive LG refrigerator breaking after 3 1/2 years which left us living out of coolers for a week, losing 80% of the items in our refrigerator and freezer due to spoilage. We were finally able to speak with an LG Representative on the phone within 24 hours to discuss the problem and LG came through and stood behind their product by conducting a repair with upgraded new parts and a software update to help eliminate future problems. We had an extended warranty through an authorized LG retailer we purchased from. LG took over the repair order, sent their internal LG Service Direct Technician to our home and conducted the repair. The technician was very professional and highly skilled. The repair only took 1 hour.We were very concerned about parts being ordered and having to wait an additional 1-2 weeks after diagnostic testing. Not the case! Repair was complete on 26 FEB 2020, 6 days after breakage. 5 hours after the repair completion, the ice maker was producing ice, freezer was working, and the refrigerator was cold. Seems like a good repair. I would like to thank LG for their support in this matter regarding our refrigerator repair. We look forward to enjoying our LG appliances now and in the future.

We have had this refrigerator for two years. The ice dispenser leaks water after every use. Our family uses a lot of ice, especially in the summer! Despite our best efforts to keep the area dry, moisture got up under the control panel. So far it has not affected the function, but I am scared it will eventually. We contacted LG about this and were told that it is merely a cosmetic problem that is not caused by the refrigerator itself and that cosmetic problems are not covered under warranty. We will never buy another LG product. We should have purchased the Samsung we were looking at!

Worst product, worst customer service Ever!! Will never buy again. My fridge is 3 years old. Over one week ago I woke up to water on our wood floor and our fridge all of a sudden no longer working. We called LG immediately to get it repaired and we were told that the first available appointment was over one week away. We scheduled it. I then went out and bought a brand new fridge so that my family can eat. We had to throw away a ton of food that we actually just bought the night before. Everything in our fridge was ruined. We spent the next week eating out of a mini fridge and eating out. Finally our repair date came and the REAPAIRMAN NEVER SHOWED UP! We were left again calling LG and getting no response because they were closed and have no after hours call center. I had to wake up the next morning at 6am to get on the phone to track down why my service did not take place and get so frustrated so that the repair service sent their best technician to smooth things over for LG. After multiple calls, all you get is a call center where NO ONE knows any information at all. They have to escalate through a portal to have someone call you back. I am still without a fridge. I leave on vacation tomorrow and nothing has been resolved because the technician could not fix our fridge, because the motherboard is broken on it. 3 years old! The compressor - BROKEN! The Freon - BROKEN!! A FILTER - BROKEN!!!. THE MOTHERBOARD - BROKEN. I asked the tech why, and he said LG is a BAD company, they always break. Now we have to wait for another shipment to arrive because LG couldnt get their act together in the first place. I have missed multiple days of work, purchased a new fridge. Lost hundreds and hundreds of dollars in food and condiments and purchases from around the world we had in our fridge. I am so pissed and frustrated that I cannot contain it and my head is exploding. I was told by a supervisor that my complaint was not able to processed because the tech didnt write it in the notes properly and that LG has policies. And all she kept on saying was, I understand!! DO you understand???? Do you come home every night to a fridge that is broken in your kitchen? Did you throw out trash bag after trash bag of food because your fridge suddenly stopped working? Did you miss multiple days of work so that you can sit at your house waiting for a repairman to come and never show up?? Did you go by a second fridge for your home? You understand how frustrating it is to sit on the phone for hours and repeat your story to new customer service rep who has NO POWER to do anything and then tell you at the end of it, I will escalate your request and I understand. You dont understand! LG is a terrible company, a terrible product with terrible follow through. I am still waiting for someone with authority to call me back and handle this properly and have some answers for me!! Do yourself a favor a never get an LG product. If I could rate you as a negative, I most definitely would!!!

After 4 1/2 years, after buying 4 matching stainless steel appliances for the new home, my refrigerator started making loud noises, like an airplane landing. We knew it was a problem, but didnt have a real sense of urgency because the fridge was still cooling; figured wed attend to it when we had time. Then it began cooling inconsistently. Then it finally crapped out. We called customer service and they had us contact the approved list of repair companies. I took the day off, had the repairman look at the fridge (and I do mean LOOK AT it, as he didnt have the parts on hand), and was told it was the compressor that failed and the work would cost over $1000! The part was covered under our 5 yr warranty, but the work was about the cost of a new fridge and wasnt covered. So, the $200-300 part is covered but the $1000 work to install isnt? Gee, thanks, LG!After looking at what a new comparable one would cost, we couldnt find one and came to the disappointing decision to just go with the repair. The repairman was very nice and said this isnt the first hes seen and doubts itll be the last. So VERY disappointed in LG for making such a flimsy, unreliable product! I was a big fan of LG previously - having had a TV, Blu-ray disc player, etc. - and had NO problems, so I thought that competency would apply to all their products. Very wrong and very disappointed.

We bought this LG refrigerator Jan 21, 2012. It is the biggest waste of a thousand dollars we have ever spent. Last Labor Day it stopped cooling. Had to wait a week for a repairman. One took pity on me and told me over the phone to remove the back and dry out with a blow dryer. It worked. So now this Labor Day it wouldnt cool again. And guess what, had to wait another week. We decided not to melt the ice since we had a warranty. The repairman came, took the back off and fiddled around, said it was good and left. The fridge, still four hours later wont go below 40. We called the repairman. He said it is ok to put some food in. So we did, really fast. Now it is 50 degrees. Clearly we will be going back to coolers and five bags of ice a day again. We are so fed up. PLEASE dont buy LG. Not only does it not work well, but it dents if you look at it, and the little humidity control on the veggie bins snapped off the first three days. Just hate it. But it was the largest fridge that would fit through our small doors. So we had to buy it. PLEASE PLEASE dont make the same mistake. Now cancelling cats surgeries to buy another fridge soon. Sigh.. Anyone know a brand that works?

LG fridge bought in Aug. 2017. Worked good for almost 2 years, and then the madness started in July 2019. As of today the compressor has been changed, then a 2nd trip to fix a leak supposedly, 2 weeks after that the ice maker quits working. Technician is now saying it is the flanges on the freezer doors not sealing properly. Technician orders parts and I get a call today from the parts department saying that parts are on backorder and they have no clue how long it may be. I will never buy an LG appliance again. $2000.00 just does not buy you what it used to. If LG would just own up and say they are selling a defective product and make it right, it might not be so bad. But all they keep doing is kicking the can down the road. I am officially, over it. If something is not done soon, I am to the point of trying to see if I can do anything legally. There has to be a lemon law or something like that on products like this.

I own an LG dryer (Model: DLG5988W) just over five years now. This past summer, I noticed a noise and the felt along the rim inside the drum was coming out. I notified the service company and they ridiculously removed the felt--had to scrape glue from the unit. This took about three hours--the service person was outside in heat applying the new glue and the new felt to the drum. Keep in the mind that the entire unit needs to be taken apart to do this. When he was finished, he said that they could have ordered an entirely new drum and not have to remove and reapply the felt--but they chose to do it this way.Three months later, I noticed some markings on my clothing, sheets, blankets, and white clothing. The felt is coming out again and the noise has returned. We have contacted the service company who says that our warranty was just up about two months ago. They originally charged us approximately $300+ and now, they say that the drum needs to be replaced and it would cost about $600+.We want it replaced and the original cost be deducted, since the problem was a temporary fix. Now, they wont even return our calls. So I continue to put aside all the ruined clothing, blankets, etc. I will never ever give LG my business. I also own the frontload washer, which, by the way, smells all the time. I remember growing up and the washer and dryer lasted 15+ years. LG sucks!

I bought a refrigerator with an LG compressor in it in September of 2016. Two days ago it stopped working. I looked at the warranty, parts are covered for 1 year and the compressor is covered for 10 years. After I had a tech out to look at the problem the total cost to repair the fridge was $850 which included a free compressor that was covered under the warranty. The issue was all of the other parts that were damaged by the oil leaking out of the faulty compressor are not covered under the parts warranty. This is a total scam by LG who made inferior products. The tech told me the replacement would be the compressor that just broke and I would be back in the same spot 2-3 years from now. Does LG think 2-3 year for a refrigerator is a normal life span??

I have an LG refrigerator that has the known compressor issue. It failed within 3 years. Customer service was difficult to deal with. They eventually shipped part & agreed partial payment for repairs. From The LG authorized repair list given nobody would come & repair it for months ahead. I finally found a repair service available. With the consent of LG customer services I did the repair for $650. Submitted a receipt & was only reimbursed $200. Yet LG in court said “labor covered for 5 years”. Now at 5.5 years the product failed again. I spoke with customer service. They stated as an “unauthorized repair service was used all warranty is void”. Yet they knew who I was going with for the repair, have a copy of the receipt on file & previously authorized a partial labor payment. What a slippery way to get out of liability for a known product design defect. Customer services then terminated the call. If this is the treatment you want if/when your product fails, which it most likely will if it has a Linear motor, you have been warned.

We bought the LG LFX25978ST French door refrigerator on 5-1-2013 from HH Gregg. Was working okay until Oct 5, 2013 (5 months) when it suddenly stopped making ice & freezer contents were mushy, soft. Called LG. They told me to reset the ice maker & it should be fine. Reset twice, still no ice. Called LG on Oct 6th again. They told me to get a new filter or bypass plug (which should have been left with me when they delivered) which I did on Oct 7th. Put the bypass plug in... still no ice & freezer not freezing. Called LG back. They said they would schedule a service tech to repair. After several calls from the repair people about the date of purchase, serial #, model # finally they said they would have to order a new ice maker & when the parts came in they would schedule the repair. Finally came out on Oct 17th!! 12 days with no ice & very little freezer. Had to buy ice & use ice trays in my garage freezer. When the repairman came out on Oct 17th, he had a new motherboard & a new ice maker.... Took him 2 hours to replace the ice maker in the door... Had to take it back out several times because the ice container was too tight. He said it would take 8 hours to make ice, to call him in the morning if it did not. Well... still no ice & worst now... no freezer. Lost about $80.00 of food... ice cream melted completely & all over the bottom. Called the repair service next day Oct 18th, told them no freezer, no ice. They told me they would send the tech out again but could not until Oct 21st. Also called LG about my defective refrigerator. They said it wasnt defective & they would not replace it until it was deemed unrepairable. Very unsympathetic & rude! They told me I must allow them to repair. Repairman came back out Oct 21st & was on the phone to LG Tech. Put thermometers in freezer & refrigerator was finally diagnosed as a bad compressor!! This refrigerator is only 5 months old!!! I had a Frigidaire before that was 16 yrs old & I never had a bad compressor. Called LG again & asked what they were going to do about my refrigerator. They told me that it was not unrepairable. That I had to allow them to replace the compressor or they would do nothing!!!! So after talking to HH Gregg a couple of times, with no help from them either, HH Gregg said I would have to allow them to do the repairs. You would think that HH Gregg would stand behind their products also. I had bought all 4 new appliances from HH Gregg but only the refrigerator was an LG. So as it stands now, I have a different service provider that LG sent an email to, not listing the replacements parts (I had to give them that info so they could order the compressor). They are scheduled to come out Nov 6th with the new compressor. But Saturday Nov 2nd, my refrigerator is not cooling!!! I bought a ref thermometer & the temp in the refrigerator is 55 degrees!!! I have no other refrigerator!!!I paid $2300 for this LG refrigerator on 5-1-2013. I have no refrigerator, no freezer & no ice. LG does not care!!! I am still trying to get either LG or HH Gregg to replace this defective refrigerator & I guarantee I will never purchase another LG product. You would think that there should be some help when a product you purchase does not meet even minimal standards.

I googled the problem and others were having the same problem. Any other appliance manufacturer would have stood behind their product, but not LG. The guy in customer service said I was the only one with this problem. I told him to do an internet search on this and see all the others with the same problem and he laughed at me and hung up. Yes, he actually laughed and hung up saying there was nothing they could do. This is clearly a manufacturers defect, plain and simple. Also, the plastic clip holding the filter in broke while I was changing a filter. Also, I will have to replace the light bulb covers every time they melt through as the plastic is burnt and cracked and can fall into food. The light bulbs blow quickly. Buying this product has been a disaster. I will never buy another LG product again, just based on the way I was treated by customer service alone.

I own an LG Clothes Washer, model WM0624HW/01. The direct drive motor supposedly had a 7-year warranty on it. The rotor has plastic (!) splines in it that attach to the drum shaft to wash and spin the clothes. It (of course, its plastic!) stripped out after three years of normal household use. I contacted LG to get a replacement (I have been repairing appliances for 20+ years professionally, I know what I am doing); they absolutely refused. They said, Thank you for contacting LG Electronics. I am delighted to hear from you as our valued customer and I will be glad to answer your concern. I apologize for the inconvenience youre having. Drum motor such as stator, rotor and hall sensor have a seven year warranty from the date of purchase. Yes, the motor is still in warranty as I checked based on the serial number you provided. The washer has a one year warranty for parts and labor from the date of purchase but has exclusion for warranty of other parts as stated in the warranty page in the owners manual. For the replacement of the said part, it should be done by one of our LG technicians or authorized service technicians. The technician will order the part for you as soon as the unit is checked upon technicians visit, or will install it for you if the part is available upon service visit. Let me provide our rates for the labor. For LG technicians: diagnosis - $89, minor repair - $150 + tax & parts, major repair - $225 + tax and parts. I apologize I dont have the information for the rate fee for our authorized service technician. They have different rate scheme than our own LG technicians. I hope I was able to help you with your concern. If you have other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us again either via email or by calling our customer service division at 800-243-0000 at your convenience. Thank you for choosing LG!I called Albert and told him I was a qualified appliance repair person, and it only took me 10 minutes to diagnose and remove the offending part and to please just send me the part. He absolutely refused. In order to get it replaced under warranty, I would have to spend $239 in labor. The part is available to me wholesale for $73.11 and it will take me 5 minutes to replace it. Of course, I will bite the bullet and buy the part myself. What gripes me is that the part is under warranty but I cannot get the part. LG has figured out a way to screw me out of the warranty they supposedly provide. Even worse, the replacement part is new and improved with metal splines in it, proving LG knew there was a problem and are refusing to do anything about it. Bottom line is I will never, ever buy anything from LG ever again. LG = Latest Garbage. This is not the first LG appliance I have had problems with, but it will be the last.

On 10/12/2015 we purchased a 46 LG 30 CF 4 DR Refrigerator from Sears. It was delivered and set up around the 21st of the same month. Once set up we noticed scratches in both doors and a couple weeks later were replaced. Because we were having things completed in kitchen, it was unplugged and not used till the beginning of January 2016 at which point everything was fine with this $3000.00 plus refrigerator. On September 1st we got home from work and opened the refrigerator and noticed that everything in there was hot. So being a holiday weekend, we waited till Monday to call Sears where it was purchased to have a repair person come to fix it. A week later the man came and said it was the compressor and he would have to order the parts. Sounds good until we are told it would be close to three weeks to get the parts. OK so we wait the night before the repair man is to come we call and ask him if he received the compressor as we had not. He calls the parts place and they are having trouble finding the parts and it will be another 3 to 4 weeks to get the part in if they even come in. At this point we have been without a working refrigerator for 3 weeks and have been told it could be another month. So we were so mad that we called LG directly and explained what had happened and was told by a customer service rep if we got our receipt showing when we purchased it they would replace it. Ok on the phone for hours getting everything they need the next day we scan everything to them and are told it is our problem and they will not help us. That was a 1 year and 10 month old item. We explained that it was not used until 4 months after we purchased it. However they did not care. LG has the rudest people that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. We also went back to Sears and was told they could not help us either as they have to wait on the parts and they are not sure when they will get them. Ok so you go out and purchase an appliance and it is not to last over 1 year? This is crazy. All the reviews that I have read also say that it is the compressor that is the problem so at this point no one can help any of us with this problem. This does not seem too fair. Also, the stores that are selling the LG products knowing that there are all of these complaints and service calls for the same thing. How can companies still sell these items that only work for a year or two and then tell you you’re on your own. LG is not standing by their products and this is very sad that they are allow to get away with this. If this was a car dealer there would be recalls and the problem would be fixed for free, why is LG allow to get away with this and do this to honest working people. We are asking for help from LG and would appreciate hearing from someone who cares about Customer Service not selling poor products and then telling us they can’t help.

I purchased the LG French door/bottom freezer refrigerator in December 2011
I purchased the LG French door/bottom freezer refrigerator in December 2011. May 2012 was my first call for repair. I found the freezer totally defrosted all my food and the refrigerator was hot. I called LG and got a customer service rep that couldnt care less that I lost a lot of food in a brand new $2600 refrigerator and the best they could do was send a repairman out in a couple of days. The repairman came out and replaced parts and boards. The problem has to do with the fan, I was told. Now its August 2012 and I awoke to a freshly stocked refrigerator once again hot and all frozen food defrosted. Once again I called LG and got a customer service rep (if you want to call him that) that was rude and non-empathetic about the situation. He proceeded to tell me that he sent a work order to the repair people and I will need to call them in half an hour to confirm they received the work order for repair. They call that customer service. LG knows there is a big problem with these refrigerators. I cant believe after reading all these complaints that nothing has been done about LG. I will never buy another LG product nor will I recommend their products to anyone.

I bought a LG refrigerator for $2500 from Best Buy on Route 1 Iselin, New Jersey. Within 5 years the refrigerator stopped working and the customer service provided a local LG Dealership numbers, where I had to call and schedule a service repair at my expense and the technician came in checked and advised that the compressor was broken, and I had replace the compressor at my OWN expense even though the compressor was still under warranty. LG did not take any responsibility for the warranty coverage they owed. Now, its been 4 years. Again the LG compressor is broken. Having such bad experience with LG, I am afraid to call the LG customer service again. Same story repeats again.... SHAME SHAME SHAME ON LG customer service... I would not even give one star if I has choice.

I purchased an LG Refrigerator and has had numerous problems with the product. LG trained technicians has visited my house at least twenty visits. I have lost food products countless number of times, lost time off and wages from work and I still have a product that has cost me $27,000 worth of frustrations and disappointments. No one has offered me a replacements, food lost or lost wages nor have anyone ever returned a single phone call. The customer service is simply terrible, the person on the other end of the phone talks to you with little or no respect. I had to tell a gentlemen on the other end, Dont talk to me in that tone of voice. They even told me I had to write a letter to the higher management to further complain for, which made no sense to me when they have my record of complaints in front of them. The refrigerator has had 3 compressors replacements, an ice maker, the entire Freon system w 5 lbs of Freon, the motherboard and God know what else. I can go on and on about my experience with this product but I dont know if it would benefit anyone or even if it will get posted. I can say I wont stop until someone has heard me. Another weekend without a refrigerator!!!

Within months of buying our LG refrigerator, the fake stainless steel finish started coming off the handles. Now the handles looked worn and shabby. I called a repairman and had them replaced with new handles. These lasted just about a year, and then the fake stainless finish started coming off again. They look terrible ...scratchy, peeling, shabby ... just makes the refrigerator look awful. Same thing is happening to the outside covering on the door ice dispenser. Not only that, the ice maker will suddenly stop producing ice. Then we just have to wait until it decides to start working again. Sometimes its a few days ...other times a week or two. I hate this refrigerator and will not ever buy LG again. We are in the process of replacing this refrigerator. While looking around, I see LG still has not upgraded their handles to real stainless steel. (At least, they should offer an upgrade, or free replacements.) The handles cost almost $200 each with tax. You will be sad and embarrassed by how this looks in your kitchen within a few months.

We purchased our washer 4 years ago. This was our first front loader so we went for the top of line (or so we thought). Clothes dont get thoroughly clean, get an awful smell even leaving the door open. The best part the bearings go bad. Sounds like a jet engine in my house. Will now be without a washing machine for several weeks while parts are ordered, then another appt to do the repair. Only to be told once its fixed it will probably only last another couple years. Will never buy LG or a front loader again. The machine is junk!

I purchased my washer 7/17/2014. On or about 3 weeks ago I noticed a little puddle of water on the floor. I didnt think much about it, then the next day I was washing a load of clothes, and the little puddle became a flood. I called Lowes, Moreno Valley, California where I purchased the machine, and told my salesperson what had happened. he stated, Lets just bring out a new one. That sounded like a good idea since the machine was less than 2 months old. Then I was told, We have to have a tech come out and see what the problem is, before we can do an exchange. Ok, well the tech was scheduled for the next week. I work, so I had to arrange for someone to be at my house for the tech. (in the meantime - Lowes did send out a loaner machine, I have to do laundry. So the tech came out, and because the machine was not hooked up, he said he couldnt do anything and Lowes would have to have someone come and put the washer back in the laundry room. I called and spoke with my salesperson. So now they are going to send another tech out and will have their people come and hook up the washer. The men that came out and took the loaner away and put my washer in the laundry room, managed to put a scratch on the front of my washer. The next day the tech arrives, he tells me there is a hole in the pump, and he will have to order the part. I call Lowes, and am once again told that they will send out a loaner until my washer can be repaired, so here it is Friday 3 weeks later, no washer, and told that Lowes will have someone come out and paint the scratch. First the manager said he would knock of 10% of what I paid for the machine. Is he crazy? I had a new machine, looks like a used one. My complaint is with both LG and Lowes. Both places have given me the runaround, and the worst customer service.

We bought all new LG appliances several months ago. Happy with all except dishwasher (LDS5540ST). I too am having issues with the dispenser door not opening or opening and the cube is still in the compartment. Have found the cube in the bottom of the dishwasher not totally dissolved. I too just bought the liquid detergent and the door opened on the dispenser and the liquid is in the bottom of the dishwasher. I have called the company on 2 occasions. She has given some information but nothing changes. I was told to make sure the dispenser was not being blocked by dishes. I monitored but that is not the issue. We went back yesterday to the company we bought from. Different salesman and he had not one positive word about any of the LG appliances. I will call the service rep to come look and if not help will take it back!!! Anyone have any suggestions?

I purchased an LG refrigerator 2 years ago. I listened to the guy at Home Depot and took his recommendation. Two weeks ago my refrigerator stopped cooling. A few days later an LG certified repair guy showed up and right away said he had to order a part in order to complete the repair. One week after the refrigerator stopped working the LG repairman serviced the unit unsuccessfully and LG executive department was unwilling to give any sort of credit for the labor portion of the bill. 10 days after the refrigerator stopped working the same LG repairman came to service the fridge again. This time it started to get a little cooler, approx 52-degree, but never got lower than that. Yesterday, over two weeks into the refrigerator not working the repairman did a third service on the refrigerator. Today I woke up to a 70-degree temperature inside my refrigerator.I contacted LG in hopes they would give me some sort of helpful resolution to this issue. The first guy I spoke with said after 3 unsuccessful repairs I might be eligible for compensation toward a new refrigerator. After 1 hour on the phone he transferred me to the executive department and the guy on the other end said no to a replacement, but that hed schedule another service...NEXT WEEK. Three weeks without a working refrigerator, three unsuccessful service calls, hundreds of dollars spend on labor, hundreds of dollars spend on food that went bad, hundreds of dollars spent on meals out (that would have normally been lower cost meals made at home), and very rude executive department. Needless to say, I will NEVER purchase an LG product again. Not just because of the product, but because their customer service STINKS! They have zero accountability and once you hit the executive department they are trained to say NO and treat you like garbage. If you try and ask for someone more senior they tell you to write a letter to a PO box in Huntsville Alabama. In this day and age where groceries can be delivered in an hour, parts can be shipped overnight, there is no reason someone should go without a working essential item like a refrigerator.

I bought this expensive refrigerator 4 years ago thinking that the more you spend the more reliable. However so untrue. Last year during thanksgiving It broke down. I bought an extra warranty but LG said the compressor was not warranted and I’d have to pay for it myself. I paid for it alright. Ever since the compressor went out I’ve had to pay for a repair man to come to fix it 4 times now. I came home yesterday and found water on the floor. For as much as I have paid on repairs I could have had a brand new refrigerator. So now I’m going to be wise and stay away from LG.

LG model LRG3081St gas oven preheats to 500 degrees when set on 350. Purchased this range from Lowes and they have been good to work with and have had their repairman to our home 2 times. The control board and temperature probe have been replaced but still over-preheats. In order to use oven I have to open door and try to manipulate the controls to keep at 350. The last repairman called LG Tech support and LG said that we will just have to wait 25-30 minutes to achieve the temp. of 350 as the oven has to settle into the right temp. Lowes appliance Dept. manager said that is ridiculous and I agree. I should not have to wait 30 minutes before using my oven. Still trying get LG to to respond--I want a refund my money. Also burners on stove top are always looking dirty and discolored.

On October 26th the oven of my LG range exploded. On Monday October 27 my husband call the office where we have the extended warranty from. They told us the technician would call us the next day. He did and came out and told us the range would have to be replace. He would hand in his report that day and we should hear something from the warranty office within 5 days. My husband has called the warranty office twice a week for the last 5 weeks, and still nothing as to when or if we will get a replacement range. Christmas is 3 weeks away and I have not been able to do any baking or anything. As for Christmas dinner, it appears we will be having bologna sandwiches instead of Turkey. I am so disgusted and upset. The store my husband bought the range from is The Brick in Kitchener Ontario, and they say they cant do anything until they hear from LG.. I think it is totally deplorable how an appliance company can get away with this crap. Yet Oprah thinks their appliances are so great. I have news for her. They arent.

Has been repaired but no longer on warranty and LG will not cover the cost. My microwave is mid range in cost approximately $500 and now it has cost me another $171. This is within 3 years. I bought an LG French door refrigerator 3 years ago and I wish I would have seen these reviews back then. Please DO NOT purchase an LG refrigerator! Listen to the people who wrote the bad reviews and do your homework. We all have the same reoccurring problem. The compressors fail by the most 3 years. Mine failed after 3 years and then again after 2 months. Twice in two months I lost my food. The first time in January of 2020 and then again in April 2020. They compensated me the first time for food loss but the second time they denied me because they said 12 months have to go by before they can compensate me again. Whoever thought this would happen again within 2 months. This time I lost more food cause I made sure I had enough food to last me for 3 weeks since we are in quarantine. It is very stressful during these times to try to stay safe while shopping. I had to wait one week for a repair man to come and worry about us staying safe and distant when he was repairing. I lost all my food and had to purchase a limit amount of food to fit in my cooler with ice. This imposed a tremendous inconvenience since I had to shop at least three times that week. I called customer service and all they could say was sorry about that maam. Are they really sorry? This was not my fault but a product failure and they should be responsible to accommodate their customers with their needs. I paid $4,000 for this fridge and I did not expect this to happen so soon. This must happen quite often so they implemented a rule about compensating after twelve months. Be careful. Life is not all Good with LG.

Purchased LG fridge couple years ago from Home Depot on clearance. Nice, big, spacious. The ice maker has a silly ice plus button to make more ice. First, the ice compartment is small so the ice plus button is really needed to be on all the time. Second, ice plus button turns off automatically. So if you use a lot ice dont buy one that has an ice plus button. LG should have an ice maker that does not need an ice plus button. Thirdly, the so called water filters you have to purchase from home depot are not oem filters. The OEM filters are high priced and need to be changed every three months to get the water to dispense like it did when it was new. I will not purchase another LG ice & water dispenser on a fridge. For future reference buy simple less headaches.

I was very excited and purchased all brand new LG appliances in late 2016 after purchasing a new home. The dishwasher has 3 racks and after 4 months the top brackets are supposed to be adjustable and do not stay upright. They are supposed to clip into brackets and have come apart. In addition, there are 6 spots on the upper and lower rack that have been burned and are completely falling apart. This was a very high end dishwasher and will not buy another LG. My brand new stainless French door refrigerator with 2 freezer drawers is also a disappointment. The side areas have broken apart and I have taped them together. We purchased the Lg fridge model # LSC26905TT Serial # 706MRBW15621 in March 2008 from Best Buy. In August 2013 we discovered that at some point the hose in the back of the fridge feeding water into the ice maker and water dispenser had been leaking. Our basement as well as items in our basement were soaked and some things were ruined as well as the floor under the fridge and the surrounding cabinets. I made several attempts to contact the company directly via e-mail, which was the only information I could seem to find, when we discovered that the hose wasnt just leaking but it had burst for no apparent reason. I got no response at the time and gave up, calling Best Buy Geek Squad to make the repairs, being told by the repair person that it was rather unusual that the hose had burst and seemed to be a defect in the materials. In the following year I had noticed a sticky substance oozing from around the front of the freezer causing extensive damage to the seal around the freezer. The edges around the front of the freezer become extremely hot. There was a very loud squealing coming from something off and on and most recently I heard a sound of dripping water and discovered upon removing the back of the unit that water was dripping from an unidentified area and pooling at the bottom. We cleaned this up and I called Best Buy Geek Squad to look at it for possible repairs. When explaining all of the issues they told us to call Lg directly and provided a customer service number and I was able to reach someone directly this time. On October 1st a repair man by the name of Maximo came to the house and said that he had never seen the problems we were having. He took pictures and live streamed them to the home office, telling us to call in 3 business days to check on the repair status. He also said that he had noticed singe marks near/around some of the coils and to stop using the fridge as it was a fire hazard. When I called (the next day, not 3 business days later) I was told they could not tell me what they are thinking of doing but they definitely could not make any repairs to the fridge. I was told they would decide to either replace the fridge or give us some sort of a refund check. I explained I have a toddler in the house and not having a fridge for an undetermined amount of time is difficult and the woman by the name of Angelica told me she would make a note to expedite the decision. Oct 6th was the third business day and I was still not told what they intended to do just that I needed to provide a receipt of purchase. Again I explained I have a small child and need to provide items such as milk for her and would like to know how long it would be and I was told only when we provide the receipt could they proceed with their decision. One day later, Oct 7th I was finally told by a woman named Barbara that when they receive the receipt they would determine a prorated refund to provide. She was very rude hanging up on me but not before speaking to me as though I was a child, when in fact I am an upset dissatisfied customer with a defective fridge that I thought just needed a bit of repairs and now I am being told they cannot fix it because they dont even know what is wrong with it yet we are responsible for purchasing a new fridge out of pocket. I did also speak with her supervisor by the name of Michael. He was very kind but not very helpful, again telling me it would be a prorated refund of most likely only about $200. This was a $1500 fridge that is only 6 years old that is broken due to manufacturer defect and I find that to be an unacceptable solution, especially considering the fridge was a fire hazard and could have set my house on fire at any time of the day or night putting my entire family at risk including my daughter who is not yet 2 years of age, and this is all due to manufacturer defect, not something the customer has done yet the customer is the one made to deal with all the consequences. I dont know of any other brand fridge that breaks after only 6 years of use and the company obviously doesnt stand behind their products seeing as they are not willing or able to fix the problem, and in researching Lg further I see there are hundreds of similar complaints against the quality of their products as well as their poor customer service. This consumer will never purchase Lg again.

The LG front loader leaks and its not a year old. It also has a bad odor... before you load your clothes you have to run empty washer with detergent or your items with stink - really bad. LG ice maker on refrigerator Jams every day. Its a pain in the butt... should have kept my Maytag appliances. They gave me no problems. I wanted to upgrade and remodel home... very bad idea. I hate these LG junk. Spent over 6 grand for all my upgrades... which in fact was a downgrade. Refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, over the range microwave, front loaders washer and dryers with pedestal. Dont waste your money on LG... Ugh.

Aesthetically, this LG French Door refrig is great looking; however, ice maker is quite poor. Ice freezes solid inside and the dispenser is useless. After 2 years the rubber piping on the right-hand side needed to be replaced. The plastic on the tray cracked as well as one of the bins. This despite the fact that we are all adults in the family.

This washer left flakes of filth on my clothes after less than a month of washing for a family of 2! Customer Service said to buy a product at Home Depot and run “tub clean”. I did this but the flakes come back every 2-3 weeks and I must run the tub clean cycle and use the product, then rewash my clothes! What a waste of time, money and water! After running tub clean, the tub still needs to be wiped out. At 5’1” I cannot reach the bottom of the tub. I use a step stool which throws off my center of gravity. I also fear that the pressure on my ribs may fracture them...I am 69 and have osteoporosis. I wish I’d never bought this washer.

Havent even had this microwave for 2 years and the clock is already broken, light stopped working inside and it was a expensive microwave to buy. Should have stuck with the one I originally had. Was cheap but never had an issue with it.

Purchased LG dryer in 2013. Stopped drying this week. Got nowhere with LG customer service. Totally useless. Required a $150 deposit just to initiate a service call then the cost went up from there. We do 1-2 loads of laundry a week for a 2 person household! The quality is so poor. Our OLD Kenmore lasted 19 years with no problems!!! Stay away from LG products!!!

At invitation via email from LG, I spent quite a long time writing a carefu
At invitation via email from LG, I spent quite a long time writing a careful, truthful evaluation of my fancy still-under-warranty LG washer WM3875HVCA, which has had about seven or eight service visits. Both computer panels have been changed out; the water valve has been replaced; the door latch has been replaced; and still, the thing locks when I try to open the door post-cycle. Also, water continues to leak into the drawer serviced by the water valves, and the supposed anti-wrinkle option, which an LG representative told me directly on the phone is supposed to be constant for the eight hours as indicated, appears to do nothing. It is never on, whenever I check on it after a cycle.I had written a grammatically correct, no swear words, truthful review, and picked only two starts out of five. Would anyone like to guess how LG responded? They denied allowing my review to be published on their site, supposedly claiming it did not meet their guidelines. Um, would those guidelines include singing only praises of their products (i.e.. if you give a negative review, they dont want to hear it, publish it, or know of it)?I am completely disgusted with this situation. LGs email denying my reviews acceptance told me to submit another review as if anything similarly negative would receive their approval for site-publication.As long as I dont rave about this washer, I suspect they are never going to allow anyone to see what my experience has been because then, prospective buyers would take a pause before considering a similar purchase. Indeed, the only reviews, which I read, on LGs site are all glowing about my washer. Ha.

My daughter loved her LG French Door refrigerator so much I bought the same model. Her refrigerator stopped working when it was 5 years old. The repairman told her it was not worth repairing because the compressor needed to be replaced as well as a few other repairs. My refrigerator stopped working 5 years and 3 weeks after purchase. I will never purchase another LG appliance.

Ive called. Ive waiting on hold. Ive sent in proof of purchase multiple times and I still cant get anyone to help me with the fact I havent had a working refrigerator since March. It wasnt even a year old and it stopped working. I came on here to see Im not the only one who is having these issues. Shame on LG for terrible customer service and not standing behind their product. Ive been told it was because of COVID at first that no one could come out, I was understanding. Now Im beyond upset. Buyer beware, the products look nice, however looking nice without function doesnt do me any good.
