I paid $900 for a top loading LG washer. Within the first 6 months the main board failed and had to be replaced. It took LG A MONTH TO FIX IT. It continued to require service and the repair company that LG uses is in no hurry to help. One service call was only a repair guy taking a picture of the model number. THATS IT. THATS ALL HE DID. They already had the model number anyway before coming to my house so this was a waste of my time, which I had to miss work for. This machine is total junk. Nothing works on it and the Energy efficient claim is a lie. It will double your electric and water bill.

DEAR LG I REGRET TO INFORM YOU THAT SAMSUNG IS BETTER THAN LG, I HAVE WORST EXPERIENCE FROM YOUR COMPANY OR SERVICE... If anyone wants to buy fridge or any product from LG so I request you THINK before purchase, otherwise go to another company but never purchase LG product.. Their service was too much bad, actually we are buy one double door fridge from Nov. 2017, and Nov 2021 cooling problems and they come or take a charge for gas refueling 2800, and after 15 days same problems again and not again its again and again. Then they decided to take that fridge take to lg service center in the middle of Jan 2022, and whenever we call to service center they said only two words, We will inform you within 2 days. But never we got update... And again we call March 11 and they call back us and said, Your fridge was not working. Some cooling issues, and immediately we asked now what, AND THEY SAID, WE WILL CUT OFF 75% AMOUNT AND WE REFUND 25%. And my fridge was arounds 28,000 price when we purchase... Now Im asking to LG My fridge was now 4 years only then how said and where you got this rules 75% cut off the amount, Shame on you LG, SAMSUNG WAS BETTER THAN YOU FROM THE SERVICE....

I bought these appliances a 1 1/2 years ago. The upper dishwasher rack is full of rust and peeling. I called LG service to complain and they promised to send me a new rack... That was 3 months ago..Still waiting! The electric range is also junk. When the burners are turned on they immediately go off, so you have to stand there and push the knob in again and again to get it to cook anything. These stainless steel appliances were not cheap. Anyone thinking of buying LG appliances should rethink the purchase. I will never buy another LG product.

Thank God we got extended warranty. Freezer not defrosting, so much frost it stops ice maker, and completely stopped cooling. Repairman blamed us for not shutting it tight and opening too often. I dont believe he is right. This is our first LG. But Not our first freezer on bottom. Would not buy LG ever again.

We bought an LG refrigerator and the doors quit closing. Because we had a warranty they fixed that. Since we bought the refrigerator the ice maker will not spit out ice. We bought an OTR LG microwave which cost $650. It is not user-friendly because no matter how many times you push a button you have to push it JUST right for it to work. We bought a LG double oven. Within the warranty period the plastic glass broke on the control panel. We have been waiting for months on a new part. They finally sent the new part and it was the wrong one. I think we are done with LG products.

I am writing to complain about the product quality of our appliances. We have had all of our appliances for less than 2 years (refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, microwave) and in those 2 years we have had 3 significant issues. The dishwasher was repaired a few months ago because of a major mechanical problem causing the buttons to glitch. Our oven reeks like gasoline every time it is turned on (service request entered to be told it is out of warranty. Cannot be fixed without a $125 fee) And most recently - our brand new microwave just STOPPED working today out of nowhere. It won’t power on even though there is power to the outlet. I was told we had to pay for a service request with no guarantee on product replacement and out of pocket cost. We can’t do that again, and will be forced to buy a new microwave (not LG).The quality of our appliances is completely unacceptable. We bought new appliances and were excited to have them as part of our first home, and their quality and function have been extremely disappointing and unreliable. There is absolutely zero reason why an appliance that costs thousands of dollars should fail like these have. To add, the warranty is outdated and a sham. To give people a year warranty on crappy devices is unfair and not right. They break right outside of the warranty, forcing customers to spend hundreds on parts and labor to repairmen. I will never ever buy another LG product and will make sure I tell my friends and family the same.

On 3/5/16 while cooking a potato in my microwave, the unit started on fire. The microwave shut off and I needed to wait for the fire to burn out before opening the door. It was obvious the unit was irreparable. I contacted LG Customer Service in 3/7/16. At first, they tried to tell me I was to blame. Misuse of an appliance because I placed the potato on a paper towel. The manual states a paper towel, paper napkin, paper plate are ALL acceptable. The CSR refused to believe me until she read it herself. Finally, she agreed I was NOT at fault and told me someone would be in touch with me within the next 10 business days. I uploaded photos of the damage as requested. 10 days later a rep from LG Property and Liability contacted me. Please upload more photos, which I did. Was there any other damage? No. Any loss of life due to the fire? No. Okay, well theres nothing I can do. Youll have to go back to Customer Service. Now Im back to where I started again facing questions about misuse because of the paper towel. I was advised I would need to pay for an LG technician to come to my house to determine if it was repairable or a total loss. I didnt think I should be expected to pay for the technician since I already knew its a total loss and the photos support that. I asked for a manager. Theresa got on the line and told me the same thing except she said I would need the microwave receipt to show the technician. I explained this microwave along with a refrigerator and stove were purchased by the former homeowner just prior to my purchasing the home 3 years ago, so I did not have the receipt. Well, there is NOTHING I can do for you. Youre not the original owner. So after their appliance starts a fire, and 3 weeks of answering their questions, uploading photos, waiting for their assistance, I was advised Im on my own. They will do nothing for me.

Not worth a damn on the inside! Three failures after warranty. Ice Maker which I replaced. Board failure which a small appliance company replaced. Now the compressor is no longer pumping. And guess what, its only a year and a half old. Last failure date - 6/29/17 just before the fourth of July weekend. So now we have to scramble to get some refrigeration. We spend $500.00 on a basic GE to get us buy until I decide what to do with the piece of crap LG that looms in our computer room like some piece of artwork! What I feel like doing is putting a rope around it dragging it down to Lowes to leave it at their front door. NEVER AGAIN!

My 10 month old french door refrigerators fan starting making a loud noise.
My 10 month old french door refrigerators fan starting making a loud noise. I looked up my problem on the internet and found that my unit has a know frost buildup issue. I called LG since it was still under warranty. They diagnosed the unit over the phone and scheduled a service appointment for me. A new control panel was mailed out to me. The tech was supposed to be at my home between 8 am and noon yesterday. I received a phone call the night before confirming him for between 10 and noon. The tech did not show up until 1:05. He then proceeded to empty out my fridge, remove all of the shelves and the bins. The vent behind the veggie bin was encrusted with ice which he melted and chiseled away. Then the back panel inside was removed which revealed the entire coil frozen and encrusted with ice. It took until after 3 PM for him to melt all of the ice which resulted in my having towels both wet and dry all over the kitchen, a bucket for the excess water, not to mention my food, bins and shelves strewn about. The tech pulled out the fridge and replaced the control panel on the back. Then came the process of putting everything back together and putting all of the food back in. I then had to wash a load of towels and clean the fingerprints and streaks off of the stainless steel fridge. Well the first thing that I noticed was the once firm and solid bin holder now wobbles. But that is not the worse part, the worse part is that today, one day later, the fridge has begun to make the same sound and the ice is already forming around the vent. I was assured the control panel (brain) would fix the problem. Well it seems to me that this is not the case and I know have to go through this again not knowing if the LG tech can figure out what actually is wrong. I called for another appointment and was told that as of now none is available for Monday or Tuesday so I have to call back on Monday to see when the next available appointment will be. Why should a new appliance have these issues? Why shouldnt an LG tech be able to diagnose and fix the problem on the first business? Why shouldnt I be able to get an immediate appointment for a return visit to rectify the problem? Im regretting my decision to go with LG. I should have purchased a Samsung refrigerator. I own an LG Phone, an LG smart TV and this refrigerator. I will never purchase another LG product again. Am I expected to miss another day of work to be available for service, suffer the mess and inconvenience of the repair process and then not know if after the second visit if it will be fixed or not?

We purchased our first and last LG appliance and 30 days after the one year
We purchased our first and last LG appliance and 30 days after the one year warranty had expired the fridge and freezer totally broke down. The unit was just over a year old, brand new. Well I called LG and because it was over the year they said for a tech to come out to my house would cost a lot of money and only the compressor would be covered and I would have to pay for the tech to come to the house. I contacted Direct Energy and they sent a tech with their program they have. I lost over $1,000 worth of food. I was without a fridge freezer for over 21 days.LG is very selective about their parts who they give them to, but to wait 21 days with 2 small kids and no fridge freezer its crazy. Well finally everything was fixed for 30 days and the fridge freezer broke down again and the ice maker ice melted all over the floor. Once again called a tech, I had just restocked my fridge and freezer again and lost everything. Apparently the rule bet membrane around the freezer is loose, the ice maker has to be replaced and the fridge stopped working. The unit I purchased from LG was over $3,800.00. What a wasted of money LG products are. Do not waste your money or time. We will see if it ever gets fixed.

Woke up to a non-functioning fridge/freezer on Saturday 07/11/20, tried going through all the steps I found to check it out before calling in to LGs customer service to report a non-functioning unit. I had to remove everything from the unit and find places to put it or throw away good food. My experience with LG customer service was great, they took my info and sent the info out to the 3rd party warranty service company. This is where it goes downhill.@ Your Service (3rd party company) sent me a text on 07/13/20 that they have scheduled me for 07/24/20!!!! I sent a text back that I need service sooner than that since my unit is down. I got a reply that they will contact me when an earlier appointment is available. Here it is 07/20/20 and I still have a broken fridge/freezer. I have had to go out and buy a new mini-fridge in the mean time. Why does LG allow this 3rd party service company to keep doing this? Look up their reviews and see just how bad their customer service is. I will update when @ Your Service finally shows up and hopefully fixes my expensive side by side refrigerator. I bought the unit during Black Friday 2017, it made it a little over 2.5 years. Model: LSXS26366D.ASBCNA0.

Updated on 01/03/2020: This is an update to my review from 12/26/2019. LG responded asking for my model # phone number etc and they would get in touch with me. They did, and told me the repairs would be covered. Great, I thought. Unfortunately the LG certified repair tech verified the parts are still not available to repair my fridge and they do not make the parts so there is no way he can repair my fridge. I have now been without a fridge for over a month without LG standing behind their 10 year compressor warranty. I have now spoken with over 8 different people in 3 different departments and nobody in LG customer service knows how to proceed.Original Review: The compressor went out on my LG French door refrigerator. LG sent a tech to fix it, and the tech stated LG no longer makes the parts for my unit even though the compressor is still under the 10 year warranty. I have spent 3 weeks without a fridge and about 6 phone calls with LG and they are not standing behind their compressor warranty. Im not sure how JD power rated LG so high with their know issues of failing compressors.

Weve had this washer for about 2 years now and it is a terrible machine (the model is WM2050CW). When I wash shirts (4 or 5), I get soap stains on the shirts. The shirts have developed little pills (I do small loads at a time). If we dont keep the door open at all times we get a smell from the washer. It uses such little water I cant see how clothes could possibly be clean. We bought this at a Sears Outlet store. The washer and dryer were returned by a customer and we know now why. These were issues with the washer right from the start, but its just getting worse (and more and more frustrating). I wish wed bought a cheap top load washer. It takes forever to do a load of laundry and while it uses less water, it takes twice as much electricity. I thought it only fair to alert you to our dissatisfaction before we start to share with others. We had only heard good things about LG, but we will never buy another LG product, and we will urge anyone that will listen not to either.

I bought my LG French Door Refrigerator in December of 2014. It cost over $3000 and I was told by the salesman at Home Depot how GREAT the linear Compressor is. I noticed on Sunday that the ice was melted and the temperature was rising. I found my LG information and called Customer service. I was told the earliest they could come out was 4 days later. They also told me that he could not uninstall the fridge. It had to be moved out of its slot so he could access it, and it had to be unplugged. I was also told that the compressor was under warranty, but the replacement would be 375-425 PLUS state tax. Well, after 4 days, I had to throw away all the food that was inside. Probably another $200/300. The guy came out and told me that he would order the parts, but my cell service was bad so he couldnt tell me if they even had the compressor in stock. He told me they would come out the next day, unless the part isnt available. Which, reading the forum, looks like its 5 weeks out. Terrible product. The Sad thing is, that Im a Realtor. I have caused at least 5 or 6 clients and friends to buy an LG fridge because, the compressor has a 10 year warranty... as if that does any good. Im a single Mom, and I feel like I have to earn my money twice. Once to kill it and bring it home, and again to make sure it doesnt fly out the window. Im angry, Frustrated, and defeated.

Sleek and modern. Quiet. No freezer burn. Easy to wipe down interior. Energy saving. Good size. Goes well with overall style of my kitchen and house never had any service issues. Good price for quality. It met my expectations and exceeded them. It felt like a luxury purchase and I wanted to upgrade from my Maytag side by side model that I had owned for 8 years. But the refrigerator really should have and needs more shelf depth. The drawers are a little smaller than I would like. The fridge is a little expensive. The freezer space smaller than I would like. Fingerprints hard to wipe off of the surface.

My wife and I purchased an LG refrigerator a couple of month ago (model: LFXS28968). Roughly, two weeks ago we got a code on the digital display screen indicating dH (Freezer) and F (refrigerator). I called in a repair request to your service department (the unit was still under warranty) and sent the service department both a sales receipt and a purchase order from the stored it was bought. They scheduled a service technician to come out to look at the unit. He never came to look at the unit but said he would order the part due to the nature of the display screen read out. He also told me that if the service department did not call me within three days I would be entitled to a new unit (I guess beyond that time the food would begin to spoil). After not hearing from anyone for the past three days I tried to get in touch with the technician at least five times by both cell phone and text messaging. Absolutely no response. Then, I called the service department which was no help at all. They could not get in touch with the technician nor could they trace the part which they claimed they ordered. They said they would look into it and get back in touch with me. Guess what? they never got back in touch with me. Then I had to get in touch with a supervisor who still could not reach the technician nor trace the supposed part. The next day I spoke to a different supervisor who again could not get in touch with the technician nor located the part. The next day I called and wanted to speak to a manager from the LG Corporation. Instead I spoke to another supervisor who indicated the part was ordered from Korean and was on its way.I asked her what kind of compensation would I receive for all of spoiled food (both the refrigerator and freezer). I received a mere $150.00. Instead LG could have resolved the problem by supplying me with a new unit within the three day time frame. They decided to prolong the problem and that stretched into two weeks. This has been one of the most frustrating situations I have ever been involved in. The level of incompetence, and lack of empathy towards their customers is incomprehensible. Seldom do I write reviews but this is an exception. I hope anyone who may be thinking of purchasing a LG refrigerator will do their homework on the LG brand. I will never purchase another LG product nor will I recommend this product to any of my friends.

We bought this LG refrigerator Jan 21, 2012. It is the biggest waste of a thousand dollars we have ever spent. Last Labor Day it stopped cooling. Had to wait a week for a repairman. One took pity on me and told me over the phone to remove the back and dry out with a blow dryer. It worked. So now this Labor Day it wouldnt cool again. And guess what, had to wait another week. We decided not to melt the ice since we had a warranty. The repairman came, took the back off and fiddled around, said it was good and left. The fridge, still four hours later wont go below 40. We called the repairman. He said it is ok to put some food in. So we did, really fast. Now it is 50 degrees. Clearly we will be going back to coolers and five bags of ice a day again. We are so fed up. PLEASE dont buy LG. Not only does it not work well, but it dents if you look at it, and the little humidity control on the veggie bins snapped off the first three days. Just hate it. But it was the largest fridge that would fit through our small doors. So we had to buy it. PLEASE PLEASE dont make the same mistake. Now cancelling cats surgeries to buy another fridge soon. Sigh.. Anyone know a brand that works?

They also do not come out to repair right away, you have to do various checks on the washer for them to actually come out. They want to know whats wrong or what did you do? My LG Fridge Model # LFX28977ST caught on fire. We purchased it 8+ years ago and stopped using the ice maker and water dispenser 3 years ago. It stopped working 3 times and we had it repaired twice but by the third time we turned the ice maker off and shut off the water valve. 3 nights ago it make a noise and my kitchen filled with smoke. We opened the door and found the ice maker black and melted from the fire. All my food was contaminated. I was on the phone with LG to find out it’s not under warranty, no recall is on this model and was offer a technician to come and see if it’s repairable if I pay $125 upfront. I said, No thanks. They opened a ticket with their safety department and said someone will contact me in 24 to 48 hours. It’s been 2 days. No one called. I expect appliances to break down and stop working but not to catch fire and blow up. My stove is right next to the fridge, we are lucky the fire was contained. This fridge needs to be pulled off market.

The features I liked about the LG refrigerator was my double side by side doors and the ice maker and water dispenser were the best part of it all. I would get it again if I needed another one anytime soon. The Only thing I didnt like was I think there could have been more shelves and storage room inside it. Overall it has been a really good refrigerator though, so I really cant complain about it too much. I never really had any issues. The reason I purchased the LG refrigerator when I did Is due to a sale they had going on at the time and I liked the style of the fridge. I chose this brand over other brands because I have purchased LG in the past and never had any issues with them at all.

Cant believe this company can keep running this way. Service department unhelpful!! Washer barely 5 mo. old. Called a week ago for appointment was told scheduling would have to call back it would take 3-5 business days. NO call. Called Saturday was told A&E could come & repair on 26th. Said No way. They are awful and have to keep coming back somehow. Out of that conversation they made the appointment with A&E. Really. So called today to get more runaround. Waited on hold for 20 min. to talk to a supervisor who was EXTREMLY RUDE!!! Only to be told we made that appointment with A&E even when I told him we never did. He ignored me so much for customer being right. Then he put me on hold for 20 more min. to cancel that appointment and put me on a list for a scheduler to call me back for an appointment another 3-5 business days. But now they are not giving me runaround according to the supervisor!!! But lo behold today they called me with an appointment for Saturday AM. I am overjoyed. We will see what Saturday brings but LG customer service is the worst I have EVER experienced!!!

For the past 40+ years, we have purchased all but 2 of all major appliances from Sears. The single-door Kenmore fridge with freezer on bottom was working well, but no ice and water in door. So, after using it for 5 years, we decided to purchase a new fridge with the missing extras. Sears had a great sale going in Oct. 2007, but single-doors werent available anymore. The LG LFX25950W was very attractive. Within 11 months, the icemaker needed replacing under warranty. It has since died again and were still using the icemaker in the old Kenmore. In 2010, I discovered that there was a recall on the energy star rating that had been posted 4 months after my purchase. I filled out the application on the LG website. Six months went by and a nagging voice in my head reminded me that I hadnt heard anything. I went back online and filled out the application again. This time I was acknowledged and was soon contacted by Allen & Sons. The fix was to replace the motherboard. LG was to send a check to make up for the additional cost of operation for the time we had owned the fridge, plus an annual check for the operation costs. The motherboard was fixed within 2 weeks and the annual check amounts to $3.95. I havent had the nightmare problems of other models, but this one is nowhere close to being of the quality I expected. From the beginning of the recall work, the panel has displayed error code Er IF, which indicated a problem with the freezer fan. When the motherboard was first replaced, the error code went away. When it came back, they came back and the serviceman called LC engineering and it was decided that another motherboard was needed. The funny thing is that if the fridge is unplugged and then plugged back in, the display panel works fine for about 30 seconds and then the error code returns. Luckily, the temps, drawers and lights are all fine, but we have to pay labor for the repairs, so far only $135. If youre in southern California, call Allen & Sons in Canoga Park. They are efficient and travel.

I purchased a brand new LG refrigerator on 4/17/2017. On 8/20/2020 the unit stopped cooling. I contacted LG on 8/21/2020 and they confirmed the unit was under warranty and dispatched a local technician to come on 8/27/2020. Technician came as scheduled and basically said LG is known for making faulty compressors and he had about 40 other homes waiting for compressors. I followed up weekly but the parts were on backorder. On 9/11/2020 I received a call stating they could return to fix the unit on 9/17/2020. On 9/17/2020 technician arrived and stated the issue was not the compressor but the tank which holds the coolant. He said he should have the part in 2-3 days. After 5 days of not hearing from them I spoke to LG headquarters who confirmed the local technician did not know the issue so they dispatched a different local technician to arrive on 9/25/2020. The technician did not arrive on 9/25/2020 so I called LG HQ again and they stated the technician cancelled the appointment but did not know why I was not made known of this. They stated corporate approved a defective return number for my home also known as a DNR number but I had to call 888-412-8357 to follow-up. I called that number and waited 2 hours but nobody ever came to the phone. I tried again today, and no luck. I would stay away from LG appliances in all as this has been a nightmare for my family.

I purchased a new LG Range 1/12/20 and about 60 days later I was cooking some fries in the oven. I turned it up to 400 and as I was walking away the inside glass shattered into a million pieces. After cleaning up the mess I contacted Best Buy who put me in touch with LG. My complaint is not necessarily against the range but the customer service at LG. After being on hold for 1 hour and 10 minutes I was finally able to give her the information needed to get a service representative to contact me for service. She said I would be hearing from them soon to get an appointment set up. After not hearing from them in over a week I started calling again just to be on hold for over an hour the run around again. If LG is out there please contact me. I would like to use my oven again.

I actually LOVE my LG Tromm Washer and Dryer and have had very good luck with the company. Im responding because Ive seen numerous complaints about clothes and towels smelly moldy. I too had this problem with bath towels. Its not the fault of the washer, but rather it is using too much detergent and/or not using HE detergent.Heres what you need to do to get rid of the smell, but it will require two cycles: 1) Wash items with 1 cup of vinegar and no detergent. Add vinegar directly to load not the dispenser; and 2) Wash items again using 1 cup of baking soda and no detergent adding it to the load not dispenser. Wash items on the hottest setting possible. The moldy smell should be gone. From here on out ensure that youre using HE detergent and use the absolute bare minimum as HE detergent is highly concentrated. Any residue left on clothing or towels will act as a binding agent, hence the moldy smells. Good luck!

The washer/dryer are quite stylish, work well. The washer is very versatile and can clean small or large loads. There are a myriad of cycles, many I do not use. There are only two adults in the household. The dryer works well and does not over dry the clothes. My only complaint is that the washer takes way too long on the normal cycle. Thus I use the quick cycle on most loads.

LG has met my initial expectations. Price was the first reason for purchasing this refrigerator. We loved the fact that the shelving was movable. Lots of space, very nicely organized. Well built. Satisfied my growing family. Great color choices. Nicely constructed. Very happy with the service we received. More freezer space needed though. For a growing family its difficult to place frozen foods of different sizes into such a small area such as the freezer. Maybe put more shelving options in the refrigerator.

Our direct drive, load self-balancing, year and a half old machine has been exhibiting all the unbalanced load problems frequently mentioned in reviews that I found after my wife told me that she keeps getting EU code indicating an unbalanced load which she redistributes by hand, followed by standing over the machine and holding it as steady as possible in order to finish the loads. When I tried to change the spin speed to low, the machine spun as fast as ever. After reading the other reviewers experience with LGs customer relations I intend to go out tomorrow and buy a non-LG washing machine and try to support any class action lawsuits that are inevitable (I hope). Maybe after their exploding cell phone problems are over, they will take care of their appliance customers. As one of the other reviewers mentioned, it seems as if LG didnt do their due diligence when it comes to product testing prior to bringing to market.

We have only had this LG French door refrigerator since February and we have run into the same problem with the fan freezing twice this year. To make matters worse, we went through both LG and HHgregg - it was a hassle from hell. Going between two services for repair is long and painful. The tech guy came and had it working for 4 hours. We have tried everything. We are not happy with this product, but it seems like they want us to wait until theres a third problem that occurs. Right now it has, so now we wait. Bottom line: They need to give us a new fridge!

In late June 2012, we got an LG/Kenmore french door refrigerator. On 9-6-12, the error code FF appeared on the display. After calling Sears, I was told the freezer fan needed to be replaced and it would take 7-10 days for the part to arrive at my house. In the meantime, the ice maker doesnt work. This was unacceptable and we decided to return the refrigerator rather than wait for a part on a less than three-month-old appliance. After checking online, it appears that other people are having the same error code with LG and Samsung refrigerators. Consumer Reports rates them high, but I will not be buying another LG or Samsung.

In November 2014, purchased a LG Double door with a bottom freezer drawer for nearly 3000.00. Had repair company to come out to address issue with ice maker only dispensing crushed ice. New assembly was ordered and necessary repairs made. Next, I noticed in a certain angle approaching the refrigerator there appeared what looked like a dent in the door. Upon examining more closely, the problem is a imperfection in the metal which gives such an appearance. Extremely annoying. Service Tech once again dispatched and saw what I saw and said the door would be replaced for there was a imperfection in the metal giving the appearance of a dent. Yesterday he calls and says LG would not be replacing the door for this was cosmetic. They said I could buy a replacement door. What a joke! LG has lost a loyal customer as a result of such a care less concern.

Do not buy LG Washer WT4801CW! I bought an LG washer and dryer from the Home Depot this past March 3, 2012 with my tax money, thinking that I was getting a top-of-the-line. Well, I was wrong. Within 30 days of my purchase, it just stopped in a middle of a cycle. My clothes got locked in and I immediately called LG. Their response was that was a common known problem that those washers had and I couldnt get a replacement since they had the parts to fix it. So, I had fix-it parts on a brand new washer. So, after five days passed with my clothes still inside the washer, finally, a technician came out. My childrens clothes got damaged. It worked fine. I thought the nightmare was over until again, less than a month that the technician came out, it happened again on 5/4/12. This time, they knew who I was and just sent me to a supervisor. All she could say again was that if they had the parts to fix it, thats what they would do. I am very upset. I have to wait another five days to wash again and till then go to the Laundromat again. I dont know what to do; they will not replace this defective two-month old washing machine.

I purchased an LG top load washer in the summer of 2014. This machine has been the cause of so many headaches and so much frustration. My daughter texts me every time she uses the machine to tell me how much she hates it. I have had the technician to the house three times in the past year and a half. They have replaced the motherboard, motor, rotor, power cord and on and on... and it still does not work. It gives UE, OE and IE messages with every load. I have read the manual. Made sure everything was level, all water filters are clean and clear of debris and have researched these problems on the Internet. There is no solution. The machine is a lemon, a piece of junk. It has been since Day 1. It is the single biggest waste of money in the 20 years I have owned a home! LG has permanently lost this customer FOR LIFE! If I could leave zero stars, I would.

As soon as the warranty (1 YR) was over... Problems started. Unit started icing inside and water inside as well, after several (self do it yourself) defrosting, problem continued. Called LG again and they said they could not take care of it, that I needed to make appointment with them to have it fixed. I told them I would take the frig/unit and drop it in front of the store explaining to everyone what was wrong with it and worthless it was. They got connected online and reset it and it worked fine for a while. Now its doing it again. All of their units are worthless even their cell V10 & V20, their dishwasher its also another piece of crap. NEVER AGAIN will I ever buy LG. So far stove/oven and microwave works... but give it time. BTW, units are less than three years old and Im hardly ever home to use them, so it should only be about 6 months worth of use. Thank God I didnt buy the washer and dryer from them.

I have top load LG smart drum - worst washer ever. UE ERROR CODE unbalanced load. Takes all day to do 2 loads because machine has to be babysat - it continually fills with water to balance load. Also it does not clean clothes well. The technician said it does not clean clothes well because I have well water (it is filtered and very clean water) and said that this washer would not work unless I did very large loads. He said 5 towels at one time not enough. Also LG will not do anything about it unless it is deemed un-repairable. Their technicians are trained with a list of excuses not to deem un-repairable as you can see above. I offer LG the machine back for free if they put it in a LG executives home - to see if they could use it properly. They said no.

We purchased a new LG French Door refrigerator on 02/09/2017 from RC Willy in Rocklin, California. Since that time, we have had a new compressor replaced twice and are now waiting for another service call. During our last compressor replacement on 02/03/2020, the service technician asked us why are you having this replaced since its just going to break again? He said this is a continuing problem and will never be reliable/fixed. Well, its happened again and we are now waiting for another service appointment. Interesting, though, that when my husband mentioned to the LG service representative what our last service technician had said, we now have a different company coming and we live in a smaller community. When we called the LG phone number at 800/243-000, they stressed the Covid-19 situation and keeping their employees safe. What about their customers who are staying home with now rotted food? Because of the three failed compressors, we have lost a large amount of food equalling $$$$. When we asked about LG replacing our unit with a new unit that will keep our food cold, we were told that they can only send out a service technician and have it repaired (again and again and again). Run, dont walk, away from LG REFRIGERATORS!!!

Almost every load we do whether its a big load or small, light stuff or bulky, the UE error light comes on. Sometimes it is on while the machine is still filling or rinsing. Sometimes it is on and the machine has come to a stop. You can never predict when a load or which load this is going to happen to. The bottom line is it can take a whole day to finish a couple of loads. Today we did two load. Total time from start to finish was a little over five hours!! Supposedly, you can pause the cycle and redistribute the load manually and that will cure the problem. Yeah, it will for about 5 minutes until the UE comes on again! Knowing what we know now and having suffered with this for two years, we would NEVER buy another LG HE washing machine. If the damn thing wasnt so expensive, we would have gotten rid of it a long time ago. Its so bad now though that we are probably going to do just that - get rid of the thing.

This is a beautiful, very large washer. Had great reviews and ratings in consumer magazines, etc. For 10 months or so it functioned well, handling large quantities of laundry, including towels and bedding. Then nearing the 1 year mark, the UE symbol, meaning it cant spin out the water from your clothing was a regular occurrence. I was told to use the tub clean cycle. It may have helped it balance for a few uneventful loads. But it was short lived. If you like standing over the top of a washer watching to see if it will spin, etc., but seeing it add 20 or more minutes over and over, then this is the one for you. A big disappointment.Updated on 1/23/2017: Whenever I have called LG about the frequent (Out of balance) issue they always say run the tub clean cycle, which I suppose tries to re-balance or reset without any clothes in it. I purchased an LG refrigerator, double oven, dishwasher, cooktop, and built-in microwave from Home Depot in September 2010 (Along with all new cabinets, total spending was $30K; LG appliance spending was $5k.) After six months, the icemaker stopped producing ice; we called LG, and they replaced the icemaker promptly and at no additional cost. Six months later, the ice cube production started to slow; another six months passed, and ice production stopped. We called LG who directed us to an authorized service provider. The service provider came to the house, checked a few items, lowered the temperature, and turned off the energy saver button. I was charged $127.00. A month later, the service provider came back because the problem wasnt resolved and installed a new icemaker and circuit board. Problem is still not resolved. I called LG to make them aware of the continued failures of the service provider, and they set up a service call for me with their guy. Turns out, he wasnt their guy, and he wanted another $60.00. The problem had not been resolved, and I refused to pay. So, I called LG again while their guy was here (5th call in 2 months). I was once again told by LG it wasnt their problem, that I needed to pay the new service provider, and if I had any continued problems, contact either service provider (neither of which seems to be able to resolve the problem) and deal with them. I have a 2-1/2 year old LG french door, bottom freezer refrigerator that I purchased from Sears for $3,000. While on vacation, the entire unit stopped cooling. Called Sears to service. Because it was a sealed system issue, LG covered parts but not labor. 4 visits, $480 later, and 4 WEEKS WITHOUT A WORKING REFRIGERATOR, the unit is still not working. The compressor was replaced, the evaporator was replaced, the dryer value was replaced, as well as 2 valve assemblies.I call LG and they tell me I need another repair company to look at it. I pay another $100 for them to tell me they think it needs another compressor which will cost me another $300 and there is no guarantee that will fix the problem. Unit still isnt cooling, freon is low, and you can hear the freon now gurgling loudly through the unit. I have called LG at least a dozen times. Lucky if you can get someone who speaks English that is understandable. My question to them was, will they deem it a lemon and offer me a buyout or replacement if compressor doesnt fix the problem. They cannot give me an answer. So now I paid $3,000 for this refrigerator, close to $600 already in labor charges trying to fix it and it still does not work and LG will continue to allow this nightmare to continue until God knows when. I called them today, since nobody contacted me. I was told that my claim was rejected because there was not enough documentation from the technician and the technician did not state that the dishwasher is not reparable! I said that he did not say that. I was standing next to him when he called LG and was told that there was a recall on the dishwasher and he received TCC number which I also wrote down. (And I was told later by LG that they cannot find that number in their system) This is a technician from LG. This is not mine technician. I do not really know or care what paperwork they need to exchange. I am trying to have working dishwasher for 6 months now! I do not know why LG is not standing behind their product and cannot resolve this problem in 6 month. I have ordered this in June 2020. I do not care if the dishwasher is repaired, replaced, but I just need to have functional dishwasher.Original Review: In June 2020 I have ordered LG dishwasher from Home Depot for one of rental units I manage. Because of shortage of appliances it came 2 months later. This is one of many dishwashers I bought, but all others were Samsung. When tenant moved in this unit, they called me that there is a rubbery smell and smoke coming from the dishwasher after about 30 min of washing. I called LG, LG said the tenant has to call because they will take them through different steps. Tenant was told that they have to keep running it that it is normal that the dishwasher is new. But smell did not go away. Technician came in, but said that he cannot stay for the whole cycle and they should keep running it. Then I called LG and was told that they will call another technician and got another appointment. (4 months has passed already.) My tenant moved out because they could not use the dishwasher. Another technician came and spent a lot of time examining the dishwasher then he called LG and found out there was a recall on this dishwasher and gave me TCC number which LG gave him. I was told I will just call LG and give them the number and they will exchange the dishwasher. I called LG that I am calling because there was a recall on the dishwasher and gave them the TCC number. LG told me that they do not have the number in their system and they will call the repair company (which LG sent) and they will call me back. Nobody called me nor they called the repair company! I tried the next day and was told that the recall department will call me back... Again nobody called me. It has been 5 months since I have reported problem for the first time. Nobody can still wash dishes and my apartment is vacant since I cannot place new tenant in till I have dishwasher. LG is a nightmare to deal with. I do not understand how they can stay in business. I will never buy any LG product because of the customer service they provide. There is nobody who takes ownership and resolves an issue. My tenant was so upset they wrote to VP of LG. Tenant is in the process of building a home and they make sure none of their new appliances are LG.

Worst company ever. Worst company ever. DO NOT BUY!!!! We bought a refrigerator that cost around 3500 new. And it only a year old. We have had to have it repaired 5 times now. I have fought and fought with corporate headquarters to get a new refrigerator. I dont want my money back just a replaced fridge. They make you jump through a a bunch of pot holes and then say they will not replace the fridge but give you a pro rated refund meaning less than you paid for it. How hard is it to replace a refrigerator when you are in the business of making refrigerators. Especially when you grossed over 322,000,000 last year. This corporate company needs to be knocked down a step. You can not forget that your customers made you and you are where you are thanks to them.

I have an LG all-in-one washer/dryer at my wifes salon for washing towels - it has broken down twice now in a year. I bought an extended commercial warranty for it as the regular LG warranty does not cover usage in a salon. First, both drain pumps broke down - covered by the warranty so we were just inconvenienced by having to go to the local Laundromat for a couple of weeks (dont want to wash the towels at home as you never know what kind of foot fungus the customers might have). Next, one drain pump broke down and the repair guy said the drain hose underneath the machine had cracked and was leaking. My bet is that he broke the hose as it is underneath the machine and there is no way otherwise it could have been broken. The pump replacement was covered but not the hose, so we wound up spending $250 for parts and labor plus the inconvenience of having to use the local Laundromat for another 2 weeks.Last summer, my LG TROMM steam washer (which has always had the moldy, stinky rubber gasket problem requiring frequent cleaning) started giving the LE error signal which according to the book means the motor is overheating. Its 5 yrs old now and out of warranty of course. I unplugged the machine and let it sit for 30 minutes and it started working again. Same problem 2 months later, same fix. Ditto for the next 8 months. This morning again, the LE error symbol and no matter how long I let it sit, no workee. No more LG products for me! While LG is better than the typical made-in-China junk flooding our stores, it is not that much better to justify the high price.

We bought a brand new refrigerator from LG in 2013. No issues for 5 years.
We bought a brand new refrigerator from LG in 2013. No issues for 5 years. Around October 2018, the refrigerator stopped working and the refrigerator leaked water and damaged our floors. We called LG for repair and they said that the compressor is under warranty and we will need to only pay labor, which was around 350. So on October 31, 2018 the compressor was repaired and full service was done my a LG technician. The refrigerator again stopped working on Feb 23, 2019 with a compressor issue. LG gives a 90 day warranty on repairs. So I contacted LG and requested if they can waive any fees related to this repair as I was just 20 days over the 90 day warranty. I got a rude response from LG after multiple attempts to follow up. They essentially said: RULES ARE IMPORTANT THAN CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I was shocked. It was bad enough that a replacement compressor broke and on top of this I had to face this from them. Anyways I got a licensed LG technician to come out and take a look at it.The scheduling of tech visit is another story. 2 different people called me from LG, one saying the tech will arrive on Friday evening and the other saying Saturday morning. The tech himself called and he said Friday evening. I didn’t know who to believe. Finally the guy showed up on a Friday. He looked at fridge, said it’s a bad compressor and said there is a lot of dust, so he cannot repair the fridge. Now am I supposed to open the back of the fridge and clean the compressor? Apparently that’s what this tech expected. He said clean it and then call me. I will not touch it unless someone cleans it.Please note that the same fridge was repaired by another LG tech some 100 days back. After this experience I said I had enough. I just got a used GE fridge. Some 12 days after, LG called to inquire the status. I told them I took their product to a dump, they said OK and were happy that they did not have to fix it. They didn’t even think once to apologize for this or give any compensation for the 2 times I lost weeks of grocery in a full refrigerator. LG sucks !! If you buy LG, life’s gone!!!

The LG microwave (MW MC7688) was purchased by me on 30.11.2008. On 21.08.2012, we went for AMC, which is from 21.08.2012 to 20.08.2013. Some of the parts were not functioning so we lodged the following complaints: RNA ** dated 19.01.2013, RNA ** dated 23.01.2013, and RNA ** dated 31.01.2013. The service technician visited and verified the oven. He confirmed that one part is to be replaced, but that part is not available as the company has stopped manufacturing that model. Subsequently, Mr. ** called on 09.02.2013, and confirmed that the model is out of stock, and that the company will pay back 15% of the purchase cost. Then we spoke to Mr. Manish ** on **. He conveyed point blank and asked us to do whatever we want, but we will get only 15% of the purchase price. The purchase price was Rs. 8,499/- and 15% comes to Rs.1,275/-; whereas, we have already paid Rs. 815/- for the AMC cost.Is it our problem that the company has stopped production? If that is the case, then why was AMC taken? We need the part to be replaced or a replacement of a new oven.

I have the smell issues with my LG front-loading washer and Im sure, after seeing the pictures from another case, I will be dismantling my machine this weekend (with pictures inside and out including the moldy drawer that is supposed to clean my clothing) to get rid of black mold that is most definitely making my family and me sick. I will be using extreme care to sanitize the unit and my home from this negligent company that cares nothing for its grievous mistakes that so many have had to endure. Shame on you, LG for being so big and creating a problem you clearly knew about and do nothing for the customers who made you who you are! I hope that some lawyer who owns one will see this forum and take you on. Ill be glad to display my findings with 1080p HQ video and 18 gig pictures with a bag full of what I find growing in my $2,000 fungus-growing washer that you built. P.S. I forgot to mention the fact that I have to flip the breaker each and every time I wash a load of clothes for my washer to power up! Thanks for nothing, grrr!

With the holiday, they said that they couldnt get someone here until Tuesday, so we made an appointment for Tuesday between 8 & noon. When no one showed up we called again and they said that they were having problems and couldnt get someone here until Wednesday pm. When we asked for a refund of our $300 charge on our credit card they said we had to go through some complicated BS and it would probably take 3 days for the credit to process! Purchased this new LG LFX31925ST for $3500 from BestBuy July 2013 and now 14 months later the freezer and fridge compartments are warm and the unit sounds like a garbage disposal. Called BestBuy. They said they have no Geek Squad service in my area 15 mile from both Bestbuy locations in my upstate NY location. So contacted LG customer service several times to get a repair for this unit. Unplugged the Refrigerator for 12 hours, plug back in and it was quiet and cooling till 10 hours later when the noise is back but seems to be still cooling. Did a bunch of troubleshooting over the phone with no definitive solution. Called back this morning to LG to explain to them the current situation and requested a service call. Mentioned to them that the service center listed on their repair website did not return any of my 3 phone calls yesterday. So they gave me another service center that they were going to electronically dispatch. This was several hours ago now and no contact from them. Dont buy LG Appliances!

I bought it in 11-20-2010 and the freezer or ice make dont work but it runs constantly. So I have unplugged it after 6 days of straight running because I was afraid it would get too hot and catch on fire. Can someone tell me what I have to do to get it back since it has not been fixed and run so much? It is a Double-Door LG refrigerator and I have talked to LG customer service for a whole week and still cant get nothing done. I even contacted Home Depot where I bought it and an extended warranty, but they can do nothing because it is still under manufacturer warranty. Needless to say, I probably will never buy another LG product but I would like mine replaced or refunded for it!

My LG LRE3083ST Electric Range worked flawlessly for the first year. Then the controls quit functioning properly. It was intermittent at first. Sometimes I had to reset the circuit breaker to turn off the oven. Then the stove top controls failed. I could turn on only the rear burners. I contacted LG customer service thru their website. The reporting process was cumbersome, but LG agreed to send a repairman out to fix it. The repair seemed to be good. The oven and stovetop both worked. That was 6 weeks ago. This past weekend the stove top controls failed again. Today I contacted LG. This time by phone. The customer service person was friendly, but after conferring with others there, she politely told me that any future repairs would be on me. I have been an LG television and appliance owner for over 10 years. I have never had an LG appliance fail so miserably. This problem is likely a quality control problem, but LG does not acknowledge that. The control boards that the repairman installed in January failed before the end of February. The boards must be defective. My respect for LG just took a big hit. I will no longer recommend the products and will consider other alternatives when I replace my 15-month-old range. I will not pay to repair it because it will probably fail again.

I did buy warranty, but before it expired I called to tell them about the rust. Conns said that is a manufacture problem, they only repair. So I didnt renew it. Now the tub makes horrible noise when washing rinsing. And clothes comes out soggy. I called LG yesterday, I thought maybe they could do the Smart Diagnostic and let me know what machine needs. They said if they did the diagnostic it would mess up the machine?? For them to send a Tech out it will cost $414 with one year maintenance or $302 for 60 day warranty. So disappointed, I might as well go buy a new one.

Have a LG refrigerator that is 2 1/2 years old. Warranty for parts is ten years. It stopped working 9 days ago. Called LG and they referred me to A&E Factory Service. Called and made an appointment. Looked at Google reviews and 580 reviews and a 1.1 rating. Worst was do not let them in your house. They came out, ordered three parts, had to set another 4 hour window for an appointment. After 5 1/2 hours yesterday, he said it is working and left. Checked this morning and is still warm and now vibrates loudly. So now another five hours stuck at home tomorrow while they attempt to fix it. This company is who LG uses so when not if yours breaks but when this is who you will be dealing with. This will be a total of 15 hours waiting on them and over one hour on the phone with LG.This is an independent repair company who said almost all their calls are on LG refrigerators. LG has been a total waste of time dealing with. They truly could care less about me not having a refrigerator now for two weeks even if it is fixed tomorrow which there is ZERO chance of that happening. Talking to retailers because I am buying another refrigerator and certainly not LG. Salespeople confirm this is a common situation. Was referred to LG Executive Services who will not call me back. You have been warned. The repair company did state because of their known issues with repairs that I would get a one time free repair meaning would not have to pay for labor. If that is not a red flag.

LG fridge model #LFXS24623S went down over the weekend. Not cooling in fridge or freezer. Lost all food in both areas and I am not happy at all the way I see this company dealing with this inferior product. This cost me 2,500.00 dollars and is only 3 years old. There must be a LAWSUIT filed against this company to give customers a full refund. Not try to put a band-aid on it with replacing it with the same exact compressor that still continues to FAIL. I had my fridge technician come out and confirm what I already knew that it is shot. This is happening to hundreds if not thousands of customers with this fridge and they must be held liable for this mess. We all must stick together on this matter and file a lawsuit against this company. They cannot and will not get away with this. I am LIVID to say the least.

Within 45 days of purchasing our brand new LG front loading washing machine, it began to leak water all over my floor. A few repair people came out and told me that the machine was over-sudsing and to use less detergent. They advised no more than a tablespoon of detergent - the machine still over-suds and drains out onto the floor. I have made several phone calls to LG and had several repair people out and they keep telling me the same thing - use less soap. There is no point in washing clothes and towels if you can only use 1 teaspoon of soap, the laundry does not smell good. I had a Whirlpool Duet, front loader, for 10 years and it NEVER leaked. Same laundry, water, soap, location, etc., the only thing that changed was the HUGE MISTAKE OF NOT BUYING ANOTHER WHIRLPOOL!

I bought a top load LG washer in May of 2014, model WT1101CW, and was very pleased with it. I have three pets and we need to wash large comforters and blankets often; the washing machine did a great job and was easy to use. Then a freak accident occurred within just a couple of months of owning the machine. The washing machine pulled a sheet into the drain at the bottom of the tub and I had to call a technician. Since then, the machine has been operating well until all of a sudden, it stopped two weeks ago and gave me an error message PE. That means the water sensors arent working. I was leaving town and asked my adult daughter to please call and arrange a service call but she said she called the customer service number multiple times and wasnt able to get an appointment set. I called when I returned home and was told that 1) LG couldnt get in touch with four different companies that service their appliances, 2) there are no LG technicians available to help me, 3) that Id have to wait 3-5 days for someone to call me back. I called again today - same story. I told the operator that the wait time for a service call is unacceptable, especially since now were moving in to our third week without a washing machine. I had my LG microwave for three years or so and my wife was cleaning it gently with Windex (to get the grease off of it since it was also a range hood), when it stopped working completely. Be aware, LG and other uncool companies are making products that cannot be cleaned. Its sort of like buying a car that cant be waxed. It pretty much makes you never want to give their lousy company a dime again. I then bought a touch strip from an appliance repair site for cheap and repaired it myself. We now keep it in the garage (its huge!), but at least we didnt lose the whole $1000 investment. There are videos on YouTube that will help you do that. Do NOT buy any NEW Washing machine with a Load Sensor! It senses the weight
Do NOT buy any NEW Washing machine with a Load Sensor! It senses the weight of the load and determines what amount of water to add to wash the clothes. Since the Government has to be involved with every aspect of our lives to save energy & conserve water, this device is crap! There is never enough water to wash the clothes and the clothes do NOT come clean. This mandate has sent us back to the early 1900s way of doing laundry with an old wash tub, scrub board & old soap that actually cleans the clothes!!! I cant afford to buy new clothes every month & refuse to wear dirty clothes! Only way around it.... Luckily I have a wash sink next to my washer. As I put clothes into the tub, I run the faucet hose over to the washer & wet the clothes as I put them in the washer. This creates a heavy load & as the sensor weighs the load, it is heavier and adds the right amount of water to wash the clothes!!! I have a glass lid so I can stand there & watch the water level. Unbelievable that the Government tells the Manufacturers how to build a washer with devices we dont need or want!!! Doing laundry for over 45 years, I am bright enough to know a small, medium or large load and able to determine my own water level for the appropriate washing cycle. If you dont have a wash sink, you will have to wash your clothes TWICE! So much for saving water. What morons we have running the United States of America!!

So excited to renovate kitchen. Never had LG appliance but heard great thin
So excited to renovate kitchen. Never had LG appliance but heard great things so invested in ALL LG appliances: French door fridge, gas range, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer. Fridge: Linear compressor went out at 9 months. 20 phone calls and runaround before I could get LG to agree to service. Now, 6 months later, FF and E code seemingly freezer fan motor is defective. LG service tells me to unplug it for 8 hours and let it defrost all over My hardwood floors and “just put down towels.” And... If that doesn’t work, you need a new motor. BTW: The fridge to the floor is about 1/2 inch so no room for a towel.Gas’s range: Buyer beware. The knobs to light the stove will ignite if you lean on them and then slight turn. People with small kids are taking the knobs off. That is how easy it is to ignite the stove. Just last night my guest almost caught her sleeve on fire from leaning on a knob when talking to another friend. This stove needs recalled. I have tried but fell to deaf ears. Someone is going to be seriously burned, just a matter of time.Stove: Front started rusting 3 months after I got it. Of course they claimed user error. At that time only had used it about 10 times. Inside looked liked it had never been used. Got some of it off but still can see it. Washer: If you don’t clean the rubber gasket EVERY time you use the washer, water will run out the front. So far, knock on wood, love the dishwasher, microwave and dryer.Have had many defective things before and the difference is the service; standing behind products, great customer service, no hassle. That’s what keeps my business. I understand not everything is perfect, but take care of it and you will keep my business. LG FAILS in ALL OF THE ABOVE. Try to get ahold of them and when you finally do, it turns into us vs. them. Sooo disappointed and sick to my stomach knowing I now have another fail code on my fridge to deal with. I’m going back to Samsung. Much better quality and service.

It was always short on water but my clothes appeared clean. I no longer sure about that because it wont even melt a pod. Had service come - its made that way - cant change. No more LG, or front loader.

Piece of crap top loading washer Model WT1701CW does not work! This washer, I was told by the salesman at Conns, with which I am no longer doing business, was programmed by a woman. It ought to make her and her environmentalist friends happy, because it saves water. But if you want your clothes washed, youre out of luck, because they will not be submerged below the water level of only a few inches! LG is no help at all, refusing to do anything. No software upgrade, no repair, no reprogramming, NOTHING! Wash day at my house involves using a BUCKET to fill the machine to a level adequate to wash, then repeating the bucket brigade for rinsing, EVERY LOAD, EVERY TIME! Do not buy LG products. I also have an expensive Plasma TV that failed after only 12 years. What a rip off!

The compressor went out. We were gone and lost everything in the refrigerator and freezer. Fridge was only 3 years old. Checked reviews at this point and found it is a known issue. The repair people have had my refrigerator for 4 weeks. They have replaced not only compressor but numerous other parts. I am afraid to get it back.

I bought washer and dryers LG (Model WM3170CW and DLE3170W) in Sept 2015. Since that date I made 8 service calls. We had trouble with seal, door, water dripping, UE error code. Due to water dripping with poor seal, we have spot on both machines. We had to wrestling with the customer services. It is the WORST machine we bought in our life. AVOID LG!

The easy clean oven feature is useless even if used weekly! Would advise everyone to save their money and avoid purchasing this appliance. I am so sorry I didn’t read reviews prior to my purchase. Surfaces especially on the sides of the oven are not cleaned. Even the scraper does not help because difficult to use on sides of oven where racks are. Can’t use easy off to help because of cleaning instructions. Just a terrible purchase.

Thought LG would be a superior product and good warranty. 2 yrs and the compressor is out. Told by tech guy that it is a thing with LG and they have only last about 2 yrs and will have to replace again. We have scheduled service and have been canceled 3 times. Going on 3 weeks without a fridge. Had to throw out food. Have missed 3 days of work. The people on the phone have no idea what they are doing and transfer you around and have to tell your problem again and again to each person. They say what you want to hear to get you off phone but then do not follow through. Again supposed to be here today and got a call that they are overbooked and rescheduled AGAIN. Do not be fooled by this company. Do not buy LG appliances. Their warranty is for crap and you will wait and wait and have to call a dozen times.

Installed for less than two weeks, my $2500 refrigerator is nothing more than a kitchen interloper. Came home from work to discover water pouring from the water/ice compartment in the door. Customer service was a joke. The first rep told me he had scheduled my appointment for the following day but when the email arrived it was for a day Id told him I was not home. I insisted on talking to a manager next and she made excuses. Said there were no appointments available but she would email the repair company to call me first thing to try to fit me in. Called the repair company twice the next day and no email from LG. May be sending this one back and getting a Samsung.

We have had to replace our LG French door refrigerator for the third time.
We have had to replace our LG French door refrigerator for the third time. We had experienced failures of the water line, ice maker, fridge gaskets (now redesigned) and freezer gaskets. LG refused to honor their warranty. They stated that with replacements, only the original warranty counts. Fortunately, Best Buy did honor their extended warranty, but each time it took a full day off of work to wait for the delivery to unload the bad refrigerator/freezer, get the new one in and the old one out, and reload whatever food had not spoiled. LG denied my poor review of their product, and the CEO has not replied to the certified letter he received over a month ago. LG simply doesnt care. Every Consumer Complaint website has multiple entries noting problems with LG.

Im writing this letter in regards to my refrigerator. Ive been having problems with my refrigerator since last October after several repairs done to the refrigerator. I had contacted the LG company regarding the fault that I have with my refrigerator. A technician came to check the refrigerator and placed the monitor, and because that they had already replaced the part in the refrigerator previously, they said there was no fault found. So, I asked for a copy of the report, and they refused to send me a copy. They sent me another technician to install another monitor, and the technician was so ore gent man. He said to me I must have bad luck to have the same problem with the refrigerator. I said, Do not say that. Dont mix my luck with a faulty LG product.I called LG and Jackson company. I told them about what the technician said to me and told them I dont appreciate any one, no matter who you are, to come to my house and accuse me of having a bad luck. So, they told me that the manager is away to make the final decision. I kept calling LG, and they said the manager was on holiday that went for a couple of months. Then finally, when I called back in May, they said the manager was back and there were no faults found and that your warranty has expired; you have to get your own technician. When I was going back and forward with LG, I was dealing with Rod. I had mentioned to him if there were no fault found, if I could get a second opinion and compare the results with their report. He refused, and he said, If you get any one to check the refrigerator, it will be no longer covered by warranty. Finally, I called last 14/8/2012 and complained how its not fair that I have been treated like it. It is not my fault for having a faulty LG refrigerator. Im still waiting for Jackson to call me again, going through what we have been through for the past almost 10 months. Thank you for your time.
