Back in 2012, I purchased $8000 worth of LG appliances for my kitchen and laundry. Long story short I have replaced the dishwasher, it could not be repaired. In September of this year, the microwave exhaust had a mind of its own. It would come on and off by itself. To use the it I would plug it in and unplug it. The part to repair it was more than half the price of a new one. In September I purchased the model LMH2235ST. A short time later the exhaust fan stopped working. I called customer service more than a dozen times. They gave me a case number and said they will call when to set up a date to come and repair. After many calls to them they kept saying they would expedite it. I have heard that several times more. I have asked them to send another to my home with a return label, but they said they could not do that. I called customer service just now December first, now I dont even get to speak to anyone, the recording says to go online. So thank you LG for nothing!!

Our LG washing machine is terrible. It constantly gives a UE message even though the machine is level and we have done all the tricks that others have suggested. It is currently taking over 3 hours to do a 35 minute load. You cant leave the house for fear that your clothes will be sitting in a pool of water. It is the worst machine ever. I will never buy another LG product because of it.

We purchased this refrigerator in December 2016. The first issue was the very typical water tube leak which caused cascading icicles in the freezer (LOWES was very helpful with this problem). A couple of days ago, the right top hinge came loose, causing the door to hit me in the chest. I had to support the door to prevent it falling completely off. We were able to reattach the hinge pin and duct tape it to prevent a recurrence. This could have had catastrophic results. Prior to the hinge pin coming out, the door had been difficult to close properly, but we could not see what was causing the problem. I will not purchase any more LG products.

I purchased a top load LG washer. I purchased the extended warranty for a total of 3 years. After 3 years and 2 months started having problems. The washer would be out of balance on every use. The only thing I could do is unplug and start over every load. Finally started doing some research online and found my model had two known problems. The balancing rods are not strong enough and circuit board problems. Paid over $700 for the washer. When I called LG even though it is a known production and design problem caused by them, they said I would have to pay for a service call and parts. DO NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING LG.

Top of the line LG purchased in Spring 2018. Was expensive. Control panel uses touchpads on hard plastic service which also serves as the door handle. We bought a 2 year extended warranty. The new vertical cracks cover the control touch pads, and will eventually render the dishwasher inoperative. Of course, it is considered normal wear and tear, and not covered by warranty. But, for $240 plus $250 flat rate service charge, I can get it replaced. How long before it cracks again? What a piece of junk. Do not ever buy a dishwasher that has flimsy handles which house the controls....

I own an LG washer, model wm2050cw, and it is a piece of junk. I bought it for $598.00 from Home Depot on 3-15-10. After 8 months, it started to leak. Its not just a small leak, it filled the whole laundry room floor not once but 3 times. The repairman LG sent blamed it on me. He said I was using too much detergent and told me to only use 1 tsp. I did and the thing still leaked and my clothes were not clean. The repairman eventually replaced a mushroom shaped gasket that he admitted was a design flaw and that LG had no intention of fixing. Now, the machine is 18 months old. And everything comes out smelling awful, especially towels and washcloths. I have done everything LG says to do - leaving the door open, pulling out the detergent tray, running the clean cycle, using less detergent, etc. but nothing helps. I now have to buy another washer because I cant stand it any longer. My previous washer was a plain GE front load and it never gave me one problem. I sold it because it was old. I wish I had it back. LG needs to be run out of town!

I bought a LG Over the oven Microwave about two years ago. It just suddenly died on me after gentle use. I went to heat up a small meal and realized the thing was totally dead. It did not show the time, the inside light was not on - nothing. I checked my house power outlet to make sure it was ok and it was. So, it was the microwave that was not working. I will never buy another LG product. And I will also tell everyone not to buy their products.

They sell the LG product where my wife works and we purchased a refrigerator from there. But when it was delivered, it was damaged by the people that delivered it. I was trying to get it repaired and it was a complete nightmare dealing with LG. They w were absolutely horrible and pathetic. I’ve been dealing with an issue since March and it just got completed last week. That’s how long I’ve been dealing with this. Also, those people don’t even know what the part numbers are for their own product. They tell you they’re gonna call you back, but they never do. If I don’t initiate a phone call, I never hear from them. Then they tell you they’re gonna follow up, but they never follow up. Aside from that, I paid for a part to come to me and when it came, it was the wrong part. They’re liars over there and they tell you what you wanna hear. But once you hang up with them, they’re done with you. The only good thing about LG was the service tech that they sent out here last Thursday and everything’s working fine since he’s been out. Still, I’m never buying another LG product and Id never recommend it.

We bought a LG side by side refrigerator 7/22/2015. It is now 7/3/2019 and the freezer and refrigerator are dead. Based on all the reviews I have read it is the compressor and it might take LG 10 days to 2 weeks to have someone come and check it out and then another 2 weeks waiting on parts. The product came highly recommended. Motherboard went in first 3 months of owning it. Had to call many times and had to wait to be serviced for almost a week. Service man ended coming at midnight to service. Not even a year after the refrigeration/freezer sensor is gone. Called and given a date 11 days later for repair due to having the wrong postal code in their system! Now 10 days later after repeated calls to many different departments telling us they might not have the part, fridge totally not working, food spoiled and no remorse. We want the fridge taken away, money refunded. NEVER will buy LG again!

I purchased a new LG WaveForce washing machine at a Best Buy. It has never worked right since purchased. I called Best Buy, they told me to contact LG. I have been contacting them for over a year. They want a service person to come over and over to replace the brain of it. This changes nothing when it is built to work that way. Its not broken, it just doesnt function right from the start. Ive sent pictures of the loads that come out in big knots! The machine is high efficiency so it should be economical, but when it goes UE all the time, you can never leave it alone to do a load. It will keep draining and filling up to try to even itself. Its very wasteful of water! This is not a floor leveling problem at all. Its the machines problem. Some loads just all float to the top and never get pulled down through the water, which leaves spots on clothing and not overall good cleaning. Its just a lemon! I want my money back! Neither place will give it to me. I paid cash, I have receipt. I took pics of how my loads come out, but keep getting the runaround. All I want is my money back! Ive been married for 32 years and this is my third washer, so I do not abuse them. There is just no help coming anywhere for me! No company should get by with this kind of customer treatment.

Purchased an LG fridge about 6 months ago. Over two weeks ago it began not cooling well and progressively got worse, soupy ice cream, rotting veggies etc... Called the place we bought it from Goedekers online. They forwarded us to LG since it was under a year old. Goedekers made some calls but even the President Steve Goedeker said he cant do much. Unbelievable, these companies are happy to take your money but have no problem leaving you and your family high and dry.LG has been a nightmare to deal with, the first week was wasted speaking to representatives that barely understood English. Finally request someone to come out on their website hoping that will get someone to come out and help us... After many phone calls, many lies, many conversations of no one caring (we are a family with a son under 2 years old etc... in a rural area) its over two weeks now and not even a phone call or servicer has been sent out to even diagnose our fridge. I even found a tech willing to come out and provided LG all the info - found out later through another source that spoke to their dealer department that they denied him because they didnt want to pay him standard rates. They spoke to another servicer in our area and they didnt approve his rates either and kept trying to talk him down as well. They have chosen to not help us and keep our family waiting to try to pay low rates to local service repair men. Youd think theyve spent at least that much paying their employees to make so many calls trying to negotiate ridiculously low rates. Why not just do the right thing and service the customer??? They have put us off, delayed and delayed any kind of progress just to pinch pennies and negotiate with service repairmen to see who will take their low negotiated rates. SO WRONG. My advice NEVER EVER EVER buy LG, our fridge was a $2700 fridge and it is not working in 6 months. They could not care less. Dont buy from online places, buy at your local appliance Ma and Pa place. Someone who will actually care, and hold true to some values.

Im wondering if anyone else has had this problem with an LG washer. Both the service tech and the LG customer support techs said theyve never heard of it. I just discovered a few days ago that the machine does not add any water during the rinse cycle!!! Who knows how long Ive been wearing clothes and using towels that havent been rinsed. The tech replaced both circuit boards but it still does not work. LG insists that because the tech said that it does add a small amount of water there is nothing wrong.I tried to explain that a cup of water at the very end of the rinse cycle, which does not ever agitate and immediately drains out is NOT how its supposed to work. The tech said he doesnt know how much water is supposed to flow into the machine for the rinse cycle, but as long as something goes in, it means its working fine. Seriously? Im done being angry... just going to throw it out, but Im wondering if anyone else has had the no rinse water problem and if you were able to get it fixed. Thanks.

After considerable review, we (in hindsight, unfortunately) purchased a Suite of LG products last year (2019), the FRENCH DOOR LFXC22526S being the refrigerator leg of it. From the day we literally plugged it in, it has been, and continues to be, a disappointment. For a company with a footprint of LG, were appalled at both their lack of engineering and Customer Support. Our issue became noticeable day 1 when the appliance was not cooling properly. The first indicator was the milk, (which was stored on the refrigerator door rack to accommodate a gallon size, was WARM. My wife proceeded to purchase a thermostat to monitor the temperatures within the cavity of the unit. For the limited cubic space it has, the temperatures varied considerably. We proceeded to contact Customer Service, and for a unit right out of the box, we immediately encountered additional challenges. 1- Our first contact was with a Customer Service Representative in the Philippines who spoke Very broken (if any) English. (Follow up calls were just a bad.) For such global company you would expect them to have better matched resources to offer its customers. 2- To have a Technician visit the situation, they would potentially charge a $50 Service Call. (Again, the unit is not even a week old. That policy took some arm wrestling, but it led to being waived.) 3- Fast forward, a Technician did arrive at the house to physically and wirelessly confirm the settings. NO PROBLEM. At this juncture, my wife was getting a bit perturbed and stated a temperature measuring 40 degrees is not only a problem, its a health hazard. The Technicians solution was to recommend we rearrange the contents where items as mustard, pickles, salad dressings, butter.... should only be on the door racks. Items as milk, even though the door has a rack to accommodate a gallon container, should go on a shelf. (Its noteworthy to mention; weve stored milk on the refrigerator door for the last 40 years with no temperature problems!) When we proceeded to challenge that rationale, his final cure all was the straw that broke the camels back... we just havent adapted to it yet. Those remedies are very shallow for a unit that costs ~$2,000 with supposedly state of the art engineering. We cant fathom how a major entity as LG can be so deficient in some basic engineering features compounded further by their shallow offerings for customer satisfaction. We did not proceed with the Extended Warranty they offered primarily due to its cost. Layered on top of that, the manner they addressed the above circumstance further discouraged us as I have strong reason to believe we would likely get the same run with any service calls. That, and reading other reviews, causes me to proceed ahead with fingers crossed on both hands. For their sake, I hope LG reviews these posted complaints as they are legitimate issues they should take some ownership of. I (and others) will have serious second thoughts about purchasing ANY of their products with an LG name plate.

Like thousands of other LG Refrigerator victims my new LG model LSXS26366S died. I had to throw out over $200.00 worth of fresh food, spent another $1000 on repairs. I called LG speaking to call centers overseas trained to kill you with kindness as they provide no help. Then had to pay a local company to look at it, the technicians said I hate to tell you youre screwed sir, a sealed system failure. Compressor. Then LG on the 4th day arranged a company that showed up in the 1970 tiny pickup truck, they do not accept credit cards cash only- yup sealed system failure that will be another $89.00 bucks. $1,100 to fix it. The Federal Trade Commission is allowing LG Electronics USA to continue to rip-off Americans. LG is aware of their defective compressors & systems. I was told they are back ordered in Korea, could be 2 months before parts become available. A Class Action Lawsuit must be filed to protect Honest Americans from this company. Furthermore - If your large retail chain store is selling LG appliances - YOU ARE RIPPING OFF Your customers.

I have an LG LFX21960ST French door bottom freezer refrigerator that I paid a pretty penny for in July 2007. I had it a couple of months and had to replace the ice maker which was under warranty. However, it cost me $60 to find out it was broken and another $125 to have it installed. In December 2010, I had to replace the compressor - it was under warranty so it only cost me $70 to find this out and another $400 to have it installed. Well, now we are up to $655 so far. Fridge now making clicking sounds and there is occasional thawing in freezer. Repairman left yesterday, charged me $70 to tell me I need another compressor - now five months out of warranty and this will cost me $770 for part/installation. Now we are up to $1,495 for my cost of repairs. I called LG since this - counting the original - means this $2,300 fridge has had THREE compressors. I talked to LG about seeing if I could be afforded an extension on warranty since I wondered if this fridge could be a LEMON. They said no even though it was only five months past warranty. This has been a terrible inconvenience. Putting food in coolers outside, not to mention the almost $1500 it has cost me out of pocket for repairs. I always thought LG stood by their products and that is the reason I have their TVs, fridge and had their phone, but I might have to do some rethinking in the near future. Went on LG Facebook page and they told me to private message. Did so - no help. LG told me there are options for after warranty and did as they asked and again private messages them to no avail - and NOW LG HAS BLOCKED ME FROM THEIR FACEBOOK PAGE - some customer service!

Even it works, it is not enough ice for a single person let alone a family. Our new LG model 6323S electric range needed gating used to. Something to consider, LG designers didnt think of the 220 connection at the rear of the range. Unlike my old range, the back cover did not go all the way to the floor, leaving twelve inches clear and unobstructed access to the underside from the rear of the range, this allowed plenty of room for the electrical connection and allowed the heavy wiring to slide under the rear of the appliance and further allowing the range to go all the way back flush against the wall. With this new range, the full rear back cover completely prevent access to the void under the range, there is no room allowing clearance for the connection and storage for the excess heavy wiring, causing the range to stick out from the wall over three inches looking out of place and giving room for items to fall behind the stove. Im strongly contemplating getting rid of this LG range. When purchasing a new range, who would think of such an issue? Wont do the same mistake again.

I have had a horrible experience with LG and will never buy another LG product. About 8 months ago I bought as beautiful electric range with the purple/blue oven that self cleans at a low temperature. The stove is still working great but I noticed that the enamel in the oven is just flaking off and where the racks are the enamel failed and popped off.I called LG since the oven is still under warranty and was told that this defect is cosmetic and that I would have to pay for parts and labor to have it repaired. Enamel serves a function in an oven, it protects the metal from oxidizing and protects the oven from heat and food that would be absorbed without enamel. I explained to the agent that this is a functional defect and not cosmetic and got nowhere with LG. They just dont care about their customers at all. I am a manager for a call center and could not believe the response I received on this issue and the attitude of the agent. I was fuming after this experience and wrote an e-mail to corporate explaining what happened and explained that if I do not receive a reply within a reasonable amount of time I will escalate or take action in another manner.I never did get a response so I spoke with the manager of Home Depot and showed them pictures and explained the bad experience that I had. This the manager picked up the phone and called LG and Explained the issue and added that the popping porcelain is also a health issue and being a convection oven is getting blown around. She got the same crap from them that I did. Other employees came over to see what was going on as this manager was fuming and stating that they have never ever seen a situation like this before. The manager then said that we will take care of you and get you a new stove and again stated that this was ridiculous. The manager was still angry over the situation and told me that she is making some calls to pull other managers together Monday for a conference call to LG Dealer support and said that she is going the climb the corporate ladder on this one.I see a ton of lawsuits against LG and a huge number of complaints, it seems that they do not care or respond to their customers and end up in a lawsuit. I was contemplating on a lawsuit but came up with a better idea. I am going to work closely with Home Depot management and get data on whatever they need and work to have Depot drop all LG product lines. I think I have Home Depots attention on this and just have to follow the process. I have always had positive experiences with Home Depot and I dont want to see any more of their customers go through this experience and lack of accountability on LGs part. If everything is successful and LG products are pulled from Home Depot this will be a huge revenue loss for LG which is well deserved. This will hold them accountable for their actions and is far easier than a lawsuit and there is a ton of data on poor customer service and product support.

Our current problem is that the freezer stopped cooling and now the refrigerator isn’t able to keep a normal temperature. Of course, this happened shortly after we took an expensive Covid-style trip to the grocery store, so we are slowly losing hundreds of dollars in food. We suspect it’s the compressor. We’ve struggled with this fridge since we bought it. For the first year, we had issues with it making unusually loud noises. After hours and hours of service visits and calls, they replaced the compressor. Now it seems like the “new” compressor is failing after about 18 months. The size and physical design of the fridge is great, but not worth the headaches.

Less than 4 year old refrigerator died on 5/24. Took FOREVER to get techs to take the situation seriously and get repair tech scheduled. After 2 failed attempts, an independent non-LG tech finally diagnosed compressor failure. LG phone techs may be trained to downplay the situation, because the repair tech said he diagnoses 5 and replaces at least 3 of these a day. They cannot keep up with the work and LG wont hire more repairmen. Took another 5 days for parts to arrive and then schedule a repair day. Meanwhile I am living with NO FRIDGE and now LG says they will NOT reimburse me for the mini fridge we had to buy (not to mention all the bagged ice Ive had to purchase too!) The best we can do is send you a check for $100 for food reimbursement. I spent $1500 on a refrigerator from you and thats the best you can do???Compressor was finally replaced today and repairman said, I dont trust the new compressor either, so dont put any food in it for at least 48 hours till youre sure its operating correctly. Yikes. This has been such a disillusioning experience, I have praised LG products to anyone asking for recommendations, but I will not anymore due to the TERRIBLE customer service I received!! Refrigerators, and appliances in general, are designed these days to break and NOT be repaired. If thats the case, then the price should reflect a disposable product, not the thousands they do cost. LG is not standing behind their product, but rather hiding behind untrained techs who speak so politely, yet do not disseminate truthful information to frustrated customers looking for help from the company they trusted with their hard-earned money. You have lost a long-time loyal customer with many LG products in our home, shame on you...

Bought an LG refrigerator in 11/2017 with the linear inverter compressor. It quit working in 6/2021. Even though the compressor is covered with a 10 year warranty, I fear that it will be replaced with another faulty defective compressor. We have an LG technician coming soon and I will provide an update on the repair status. I give the refrigerator one star because a failed compressor in just 3.5 years is a bad sign coupled with a class action lawsuit against LG for producing a defective refrigerator.

We are joining the rest of duped LG purchasers. We purchased a French Door refrigerator LFX28968SB in 2015 and on 9-19-18 we had to throw food out and are now using a cooler with ice to keep essentials. The refrigerator and freezer stopped cooling. We contacted the store where we bought it and a service tech came out on 9/20/18 and said there was nothing he could do. It ** the bed. I called customer service (which the rep was rude) and she stated we needed to have a certified LG tech look at it and they need to submit the repair request. She gave the one, which there seemed not to be more than 1 in RI. Contacted Certified Service Co. and they seemed to be having issues with doing work on LG and said I would have to have parts sent to me if they were under warranty. I agreed. Now after reading all the reviews Im cancelling the service call and going to buy new refrigerator and it will not be a LG for sure. I think a lawsuit against this company needs to be revisited. There are way too many lemons out there and they were not cheap. Not to mention the loss of food and tons of aggravation!

The fuse blew in my fridge. Unfortunately, it is soldered to the motherboard. I called LG and they refused to give me a part number to replace the motherboard. They said only a qualified tech could order the part, which means BIG $$$ for the part and BIG $$$ for service and repair. All this for one inexpensive little fuse!!! I will NEVER buy LG again!!! Nothing!!! There are LG motherboards on eBay but I am unable to purchase one because they refused to give me the part number!

Machine was working and stopped, quit. No power whatsoever in the middle of the load!! When your LG washing machine quits working, as it will and locks the door with water in it with your nice clothes that will smell bad if you do not get them out. Here is how you can unlock the door without any power source to the machine.Step 1: First get soft flat kitchen spatula and use it between top of washer and front panel, on each side or corner there is a latch or tab that will allow you to get the complete top up and have access to the lid or door and also the drum.Step 2: There should be a red string on the side of the latch underneath the door or lid, pull on string on right side of lock and push up on lid or door and this should release your lid.Step 3 You will need a shop vac wet/dry or a sump pump to get the bad smelling water out so your house does not stink for the next week or two before the repair person shows up.This worked for us, when we could not find any site that told you how to do this so we wanted to tell anybody that may need help. We were told it would be a week or more before repairman would be here and did not want to throw away all of our clothes to mold and stink water. Hope this helps!!

We noticed, when using the washer, that several items of clothing came out with small holes in them. At first I thought it might be due to the clothing. But it has gotten worse. Now items like new jeans, t-shirts and pants are experiencing holes. So I felt all around the drum and didnt see any sharp items that would snag the clothes. But then I looked at the drum design. The drum is supported by three brackets. Each of these brackets have small drain holes about 1/8 high and 3/4 long on each side. Two of these brackets are located not near the dimpled holes in the drum. But the third bracket is located about 1/4 from the dimples. In looking at the cutouts in the brackets, I noted that they had sharp edges. I wet a heavy cloth and pushed it in between the dimples and the slot, simulating centrifugal force of a rotating drum. At times the cloth was snagged by the bracket. Therefore, I believe that there is a design deficiency. I checked the newer models at Sears and the slot on the brackets have been relocated away from the drum dimples. Please advise how do I get LG to correct this situation and compensate for lost clothes.

Purchased our LG LFX28968ST French Door Fridge (SS) and spent over $2K to have the compressor stop working and we lost hundreds of dollars in food and condiments. I tried to call the authorized repair person in my area who they gave me and never received a callback. I guess I am lucky I have tile floors and did not have water damage like some people have experienced. So now that I have cleaned out my fridge I am sitting on hold with LG customer service for about 15 minutes already and they still do not have any answers. Telling me that someone will call me back in 24-48 hours, meanwhile I am sitting with an empty fridge and the closest store is 12 miles from our house to get ice (not to mention the time). So now they are sending me a form and said to send in my proof of purchase for the Fridge (which I have and will do) but they said they will extend the warranty to cover the parts and labor. Lets see if this is honored.

My husband purchased an LG front load washer dryer set about a year ago. The washer has been fine so far but the dryer has been a nightmare. Theres the usual problem of the lint trap sticking up so it grabs your strappy things and rips them apart. I cant put any camisoles, bras, etc in the washer. Also I washed a load of all my summer skirts this spring and my daughter didnt know the dryer is hell bent on destroying everything I love and put the whole load in it. Needless to say I lost every last one of them. They came out in a twisted torn up knot with drawstrings ripped off and holes in all the light material. Not one was salvageable.Theres another major design flaw with the lint filter though and thats had the holes in it are too big. Theyre the perfect size for catching big zippers and things and ripping them off. My husband and I both wear Carhartt coveralls in the winter and have multiple pairs. The latch on the front of the coveralls gets caught in the lint filter and ripped off. The zipper on BOTH my Carhartt coats has been destroyed and I have one pair of coveralls left that havent been in that dryer. 4 coveralls, 2 coats, multiple bras, camisoles, nightgowns, skirts, all ruined.Every time I load that dryer from hell I feel compelled to stand and watch the entire time with one finger on the pause button and one hand on the door to try and catch it when it starts to eat my clothes. Sometimes I can catch it, other times its too fast for me. I literally stood there and watched it devour my favorite and newest pair of overalls before I could get the door open. I have a thousand dollar dryer that Im afraid to use and a clothes line in my laundry room. This was a huge mistake, Ill never buy lg anything ever again.

In March 2009 I purchased an LG TROMM washer model WM2487HWM. I loved the washer and dryer. Until October 2012, the washer suddenly without any prior dripping warnings, developed a gushing leak when filling. I had a waterfall in my finished basement, the ceiling destroyed and furnishings soaked. The first floor where the washer was the hardwood flooring buckled a couple days later. I took it with a grain of salt, just clean it up and fix it. The part cost less than $10.00. There are YouTube videos to show you how to replace it. The hardest part of changing it was getting the heavy washer moved out to access the back to remove the cover. Part replaced, washer working fine, I am happy. Now just clean up the damage it caused. December 13, 2015, the same thing happened again. I am not taking this mess very well a second time. I should have realized by all the videos this was not just a fluke, but a reoccurring problem. I would not recommend a LG washer to anyone unless you have a damage proof place to put it.

It’s tempting to say buying this product was the worst mistake I’ve ever made, but that, of course, would be an exaggeration. However, this washer is terrible!!! Just like the rest of you, uneven load is the norm, LG basically doesn’t give a crap, and we paid pretty good money for this hunk. Our water bill - hahaha - efficient??? Absolutely the opposite because it takes like 6 runs to get through a load. My husband has tried to throw the washer through the window, straining his back and causing medical problems. Plus we have to go to marriage counseling now because this piece of “machinery” has caused so much stress. Dirty clothes are mounting regularly, our clothes are never fully clean... I wouldn’t be surprised if I get fired from my job for not smelling good! All joking aside, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I wish we had an old school washer.

It has a 10 year warranty. They say I need to call an LG technician. I didn’t buy the extended warranty because it was too expensive. So, I need to pay the labor. So it not worth it. After 5 years of normal use, the oven in my LG LRE30955ST electric range stopped working (cut off during use). I paid the LG technician $260 in March 2013 to fix it. After 1 month, it started to malfunction, but the malfunction was sporadic. Two months after the repair, the oven started running up to maximum temperature during use and burning whatever was in the oven. I called LG and they sent out the same technician. He changed all control boards and relay boards. He tested the oven and said it now works. I tried to use the oven a couple of days later and it would not turn on. I did a reset. This happened a few times so I did not trust to use the oven. Then on July 4th, I cooked ribs on the grill and turned the oven to warm to keep the ribs warm. The oven ran out of control, but I discovered the smoking oven before the ribs were ruined. I called LG and they argued with me for 1 hour before agreeing to send a technician out to look at the problem. They wanted to troubleshoot it over the phone... You know, the normal BS... is it plugged in, are the oven racks properly placed, did you turn it on properly, etc. The kind of things that makes you angry. LG has a recall on this model, but they say my problem is not related to the recall. They will have to charge me again for fixing the problem. Anyway, long story short... dont buy LG appliances. They are poorly designed and they are poorly supported. The tech is coming out again, but I doubt that it will be properly fixed. I expect that I will toss my 5-year-old, $1,500 range in the trash and buy a different brand.

I was told to put food in coolers. Most was trashed. I was told they could send a repair person in 2 weeks!!! I did the best I could with food in coolers but lost it all. LG was not helpful.A repair person came out earlier than quoted and it seemed to be working (known compressor failure) yet now temp is plummeting again. At this point I just want a full refund to buy a new non LG fridge. I’m hoping temp increases, yet I just emptied ice so hopefully if it fails it won’t ruin my new floor. I have had the LG HE machine for approximately 2 years. When I first got it, I called LG because the machine wasnt getting all of my clothes wet and certainly not clean. They smelled dirty when they came out. The repairman said that the machine was working properly and proceeded to completely fill the tub to prove it to me. I have since found that the only way to get a full tub of water to cover my large loads is to run the washer on Bulky Bedding with Heavy Soil Level. (Nice trick for the repairman to use). How much longer will LG (I dont know about other so called HE makers) be allowed to dupe the public into buying these machines? I bought it to save energy and water. On September 24, 2007 I purchased an LG refrigerator (model # LRSC26923TT), dishwasher and microwave at Gabowitz Appliances, East Brunswick, New Jersey. At that time I purchased an extended warranty for the refrigerator. The refrigerator needed to have the icemaker replaced within the year. The repairman told me it was a defective part and since then, it has had to be replaced four times for the same reason. The icemaker melts and becomes deformed. LG keeps replacing the defective part with another defective part as they have not fixed the defect. My extended warranty expires in September, 2012 and from hereon in, I will have to pay approximately $350.00--the price the repairman said it will cost--when it again needs a repair since it was again replaced with a part that is the same as the defective part (as per the repairman). When I wrote to LG they just answered that it is out of the manufacturer’s warranty and they have no obligations.

We have a two year old LG fridge, model number LFX33975ST that stopped cooling completely three weeks ago. We contacted LG customer service and they gave us three companies that were LG certified repair centers. We made an appointment (had a horrible time with them) and after three weeks they told us the fridge needed to be replaced and they would work with LG warranties to get that done. LG warranties will not work with them and have forced us to use another service tech. We have the live chats from LG customer service proving set appointment times. Of which nobody showed. We have proof from the service company LG told us to use that our two year old fridge should be replaced and LG wont work with the service company they told us to use. LG says they will not replace our fridge, only the parts even though their service tech said the fridge should be replaced and that the seal system should not go bad in a 2-year old refrigerator. They also said that if LG says they will fix it to let them know this is the type of warranty problem that will go bad every year and we will have to replace the seal system every year. LG still refuses to replace - the manager at LG customer service told us they will never replace only repair. HORRIBLE!

I have a front-load washer that has made me and my family very sick. Before I bought the front-load washer, I called LG customer service to get details on how to not have smell/mold problems in my machine. I was very diligent in cleaning it. I cleaned around the rubber area in the door, I drained the old water, cleaned the filter, cleaned inside the soap area and the took the soap dispenser out and cleaned that too, as well as running the tub clean cycle - using afresh, running it with bleach, running it with vinegar, leaving the door open, using HE soap, etc. I called LG to see what they could do because the smell was in my clean clothes. An LG tech came out to look at the machine regarding the smell and found that I did everything humanly possible to keep it clean. He called LG and they told him to take the tub to a car wash and spray it down (ridiculous). The tech went further, because he knew this would do nothing, and got approval to replace some parts (the back part of the tub had been discontinued???). In cleaning the machine, I watched as black mold and bacteria came out of the hoses and it was on the back of the tub. I took this information to the corporate level and I was told immediately that it was maintenance. I was shocked as to how Tish could tell me that it was my fault immediately without talking to the tech. It was only after I told her that the tech said that it was going to come back again, that she called him. After being left on hold for 15 mins., she got back on the phone and said that she spoke to the tech, his manager, and her manager, and that they were going to review my case.Well 1 week later I called back; Tish told me that they werent going to do anything. She said after talking to their legal department they decided that it was a maintenance issue. They said I misused the washing machine...HUH?? I have had allergic conjunctivitis so bad that my eye doctor and my specialist have told me to go 2 hrs. away to UVA because after 2-3 years of misery and steroid eye drops, dermatologist testing, allergy testing and numerous visits to doctors, they dont know what is wrong with me. Funny how now that the tub in my washer has been replaced and many parts steam cleaned, I dont have the zombie look anymore. It is still in the clothes and the sheets that we sleep in, but it has improved. Bottom line, LG corporate is programmed to blame the consumer, even if they have a defective product. They dont stand behind their name at all. BUY A SAMSUNG!!!

Had issues with knobs - almost got burned. Very expensive stove. Cannot bake in oven. LG company is joke. Called over a two year period - get the runaround. Terrible to deal with. Now we have a stove I cannot use. Paid almost two thousand dollars for it. When we call it’s at least one hour on phone!!! No results. Wish someone could help us. We cannot afford to buy another stove. Don’t buy from LG.

I bought an LG over the stove exhaust hood microwave in September 2009. Less than a year later, the door cracked along the frame. This hood was covered under warranty. Again, in 9 months, the second door did the same thing. I was referred to Warner Stellians headquarters customer service. Susan ** dealt with LG, who said too much time had lapsed since the original warranty expired. She then contacted their sales rep who came back with the same response. Therefore, Warners Stellian will do nothing about the door. I think the second door should have been under warranty because it was a new door. Otherwise, the microwave should be replaced. The plastic construction of the microwave door is defective; its failed twice, both times within 9 months of installation.

Updated on 06/25/2020: I posted here on June 6 about my less than 2 year old LG French door refrigerator compressor failure. LG responded that they would resolve the issue with me. After much back and forth, they did not send me the promised email for resolution. I hope that by posting this, someone will respond and help me resolve my issue.Original Review: Bought this fancy LG in May 2018 for 2500.00 from Lowe’s. In March 2020 compressor goes out. I am still waiting for the compressor to arrive and today is June 6. I am on my fourth month with no refrigerator. Do not buy an LG refrigerator. I wish I never did!

As many others have stated, if I could provide zero stars I would!!! Do not buy even if other reviews are good. Its not if its when your product will default. Weve had our LG refrigerator for less than 3 years, and bought the extended warranty. Unfortunately, its been nothing but trouble. We are currently out of a refrigerator and LG still has yet to come up with a solution or a reliable repair company. The first issue was the fan in the freezer compartment which was fixed and covered under warranty. Now its the compressor, which for anyone thats not aware does have a 5-year manufacturer warranty that we would not have known until someone told us and it wasnt LG. The company that LG contracted out came to repair (the company actually had horrible reviews online) but guess what folks our refrigerator still is not working and we are at 4 weeks. I would like to add for anyone experiencing issues to file a complaint with the BBB which I just finished. Its too soon to determine if this will help mitigate the process but its worth pursuing. We spend entirely way too much for a product that does not work.

Purchased LG French Door M/N LMXS30776S/03 during Best Buy Labor Day sale September 2016. Purchased Geek Squad coverage, because, hey $4k fridge, that would suck. Immediately noticed $5/month drop in electric bill. Great start! March 2017 I start hearing noises that werent there for the 1st 6 months. Call up Geek Squad, they send someone out immediately. They diagnose problem as compressor, which they are not allowed to touch. Call up LG. It takes me 5 calls over 2 weeks to get a technician to come out. April 2017 tech diagnoses that the noise is within normal range, no fix available. Early August my daughter starts complaining about warm cheese in her sandwiches. No one else complains in the house. Late August I learn that I had sent my daughter to school with spoiled milk (I informed her before she drank it). Thought maybe it might have been older milk, but I was pretty sure it was fresh. 2nd Monday Sept. I touch a Gatorade that had been frozen and moved to fridge door and it is warm to touch. I take an instant read thermometer and plunge it into various food and drink and measure temperatures of 57, 57, and 51 (drawer) deg. F. Call LG. Am told it will be 3-5 days before I am recontacted by an LG tech. Sept 12. Call Geek Squad and the next day I have someone out who diagnoses that the compressor is not working. Buy ice cream because I thought the freezer was working as it frozen some leftovers on Monday. Alas, the ice cream is pretty much just below melting point. Sept. 13, 2017: Waiting to hear back from both LG and Geek Squad to see what path to take. Geek Squad has been incredibly responsive. LG, not so much.

Zero stars would be more like it! I have had an LG Steam Dryer for 2.5 years. It has never worked. I fortunately did purchase the Extended Service Plan from Home Depot. I have had it repaired 6 times and thats 12 service calls. It will heat a little for a few weeks and then stop working all together. The 6th repair, it didnt even heat the day the repair was done. Since then, Ive called numerous times and Assurant (the provided for Home Depots service plan) wont get back to me, wont send anyone to fix it, wont start a claim. I see it falls into the Lemon Law but if they can drag their feet for another month, one of the repairs falls off and then it isnt the Lemon Law any more. They refuse to do anything to help. Ive called Home Depot Corporate to see if they would do anything to help and was told no, you need to work with Assurant. I have also called the Gas Company to look at it to make sure it was hooked up correctly to begin with. It is hooked up correctly but they said the flame is so huge that its a total fire hazard and is now completely unhooked. So Im left with a $1200+ piece of junk and no way to dry any clothes. I will never shop at Home Depot nor will I buy LG anything again. Dont believe reviews that say LG is in the top for dryers because believe me, they are all junk!

We purchased the front load washer and dryer in December 2010. The pretty red ones! What a mistake! Actually, no problems with the dryer, except it doesnt seem to dry as well as it did in the beginning. I always have to add a click or two to the automatic dry time. The washer broke this June 2011. We had Geek Squad come out, it took four weeks for them to get back to replace the drum and three other pieces that attach to the drum. Four weeks! Then it broke again six weeks later. Same thing, we tried to get Geek Squad out again and they are so hard to work with to schedule a time. They should realize people have jobs! I called Best Buy to get help and they gave me LGs direct line. She was very helpful and friendly. But then the service tech called and his first words were, Do you agree to pay for this service call? and told us it was not the drum, it was a shock absorber. He hadnt even been to the house! He just told us this by the description. He wasnt coming out until we agreed on the phone to pay for the service call. Forget it. We are going to buy a new washer tonight. It will not be an LG. Such a hassle and disappointment, $1000.00 wasted. Pretty red machine...too bad it is a piece of crap!

We move a lot and this is our 4th LG Washer and Dryer set. However the new machines, neither fill properly with water or agitate like the older models and therefore clothes, towels, sheets do not come clean. We were told by LG to use the permanent press cycle as it uses the most water. In addition, select prewash, extra rinse and heavy duty (for amount of soil). All this take over 1.5 hours. It does use a bit more water and clothing is much cleaner but not 100%. All our whites have slowly greyed after using this washer for 6 months. Yes they can advertise that they use less water but they sure cannot advertise that the washer does its job.

Purchased model #LFX25991ST January 2012. Within weeks the technician was out to fix the icemaker. He returned at least 2 times within the first year for the same problem. Within the first few months, the lettering on the face of the water dispenser had started to fade. By the end of the second year one of the plastic drawer covers had broken off (minimal use. No children in house.). Technician was back out the third year for icemaker. By February 2016 the fridge began making loud noises with on and off warm water, but was very minimum. With all the money already spent (did not purchase extended warranty as we had NEVER had problems with refrigerators in the past - other brand names), we had no energy left for this fridge. Then a couple days ago, no surprise, the entire thing quit with a loud bang. So heres the kicker. I called various service people on Monday. No one could come until Friday. Called LG and got hung up on once. Called back and after hold time, finally got to speak with someone who barely spoke English and was obviously reading from a script. He tried to troubleshoot with us over the phone then agreed that the fridge was dead. He provided 3 companies that they contract with to come out and look as the sealed system is under warranty for 7 years, some parts 10.So I proceeded to call these companies. One said he does not work on refrigerators, another said he will not touch this model number, and another kept hanging up on me. So I called another person I had initially spoken with. He still couldnt come out until Friday, but since the parts are under warranty, I would have to pay for labor which would be upwards of $400. And the best part of all is LGs policy as he explained - After the problem is diagnosed, I would have to call LG and get an authorization number, they would have to mail this to me for confirmation, then the parts would have to be ordered, then I would have to get on the schedule to have the repairs made. I am therefore without a fridge for close to a month. Debating to chuck it or go back to Whirlpool or KitchenAid. NEVER AGAIN will LG enter this house!

We purchased a LG dishwasher from hhgregg Feb 2014. May 2015, the dishwasher gave out. We thought LG products were good. We paid over $800 for the LG dishwasher. The technician who came to assessed the LG dishwasher was improperly installed. In reading the reviews 279 owners of LG dishwashers felt the LG dishwasher was a joke, poorly designed. We replaced a Magic Chef dishwasher, that was over 27 years old, and still was in working order. The stainless LG dishwasher looks smart, but in reality the dishwasher is crap. LG corporate office said they will not repair the 14 months old LG dishwasher and if we were not satisfied sue them in court. I will.

Do not buy a washing machine from LG. You will regret it. I have seen nothing, but issues. After 2 years of owning one we started to have issues. 2 years! UE and OE messages would pop up and stop the cycle. Wasting tons of water and costing us a lot of time. Took me twice as long to wash things. I was able to make it work for about 2 years. Only washing things at night after work. Now the machine cant make it 5 mins without stopping the cycle. The LG site bounces you around and makes it very hard to try and request a repair. Their call line does the same thing. Came to this site and saw that many people have experienced the same issues. Very frustrating. I will never buy another LG product again.

We could not take the machine back nor get our money back. We had the update and now I regret purchasing this machine. Some days I feel like the machine will still blow. I dont like how it bangs against the sides. It tends to keep running. What was a water saver is not a water saver no more. We are doing a kitchen remodel, I purchased an LG refrigerator (dented), oven, and microwave. The microwave also had a dent so J.C. Penney discounted it. We installed it and the door scrapes horribly when it opens and closes. We called J.C. Penney whose automated service directed us to LG tech support, after about 1.5 hrs phone time they set a service call. The service tech arrived and determined the unit was irreparable, structural damage. I called LG for follow up, the operator couldnt figure out the notes, I had him read them back to me and stopped him where it stated, not repairable. I had to send pictures and a copy of the receipt that were already sent by the repair tech. After multiple hours on the phone I finally got a CNN number For a defective return. They said they will call me to arrange delivery.A week goes by and nothing. I called back and spoke with Alexander, he re-reviewed, Sorry, nothing we can do. I escalated to his supervisor, Willie who made it clear that I was bothering him and stated, I will not cover anything on this unit, go back to J.C. Penney. Now the unit is not heating correctly, waiting for the repair tech again. What a BAD!, experience. I will NEVER! buy another LG product.

It does wash the dishes clean, but is noisy and slow. I like that I can pick a bottom or a top wash or both. Its white, so can go with any kitchen, but is getting a bit long in the tooth. It cannot take really good water pressure as it causes it to make a high pitched sound and water has to be turned back to a trickle. The door did not last long - I am going to call it. The hydraulics of the door have given way and is very heavy - does not affect the wash but is not a good thing to have happened. Other than those things it pretty good.

Let me start by saying that their linear compressor is garbage and warrantied for 10 years after purchase date! I purchased my refrigerator in April of 2012. July 26, 2017 refrigerator stopping cooling. The compressor has died after 4 years and their approved service technicians have yet to get a compressor to run in my refrigerator. 1st company has come out 4 times to install the said compressor. I paid $350 to get it serviced to no avail. Not once has the compressor been operational after 20 minutes. It shuts done as the technician drive away. 1st company said it is junk and is all done. The 2nd company that came out that LG sent. Said the compressor needs to be replaced, he cant do it because he said, he wasnt certified. So we waited an extra week so a certified tech was to come out (today Sept 6, 2017, the date they stated) we called and they are not coming, stating that the refrigerator was junk. LGs response was that they provided the part and that’s it. I guess it doesnt need to be operational. Ive been without a refrigerator for over 6 weeks, thinking and waiting for that customer support that does not exist with LG. LG people were more than rude and unhelpful with every call. Buyer beware LG doesnt back their warranty. LG gave us a case number and made us think they would have help in some way but today’s response was priceless. They are done because they provided the part. Make the part operational. They should back their products and not get away with taking advantage of consumers. They (LG) should be acceptable!! $3000 plus $350 repair, down the drain!!

We bought this LG fridge in 2015. By 2019, the compressor had to be replaced as we got the “FF” error. Apparently this means “Freezer Fan” but LG never replaced the fan. Now in 2021, I fought in vain for LG to pay for the freezer fan failure which happened again. They should have changed the fan in 2019 itself when the unit was under warranty. Having paid for the freezer fan mused and losing all my food, now the compressor has failed again. The executive department of LG - no one is even answering the phone. Voice of the customer/ office of the President is a joke. They don’t care about customer sentiment and bulldoze you. I complained to Texas Attorney General earlier in 2021 During the freezer fan fiasco. Then LG offered to pay $275 which I denied as it didn’t cover the cost of repairing the fan. Now the compressor from 2019 is broke again. No one to talk to at LG! Pathetic.

Love my LG washer and dryer. The steam function on both has been a great way of taking care of wrinkles and freshness. The quick wash function is exactly that - super quick. I am pleased with how well it cleans all types of fabrics. My only criticism would be the sensor function on the dryer. It is the same complaint I have regarding all sensor type dryers though - they really don’t do a great job and you often come down to find the dryer off and the clothing still damp. The time dry function and personalized functions are very good though.

The machine was part of a stacked set purchased from Sears in Toronto with extended warranty in late 2012. It was very reliable until 2019 when it was 6 years and 6 months old. It then developed a leak and need a new gasket which was provided by LG under their One Price service (about $280, I recall). Last month it developed a further leak. My wife read the manual and looked for possible causes. She cleaned out the soap dispenser - this resulted in a flood when we turned the machine on.We called LG - we were no longer eligible for their full price service. They despatched a local company, European Appliance Repair. They charged $300 Canadian plus tax (extra because they needed two men for a stacked unit). My wife told them the full story - an initial leak, and then a flood. They replaced a small part. The next day there was a small leak - we were unsure if there was residue from the flood, but immediately contacted LG. We said we would wait a few days to see if the leak persisted. It became evident that it would occur on the spin cycle whenever there was a full load. We rang up and made an appointment for June 22nd. The appointment was then postponed to the 23rd in a message received on June 16.On June 19 at close of business we got a message saying our appointment was cancelled or postponed. It was impossible to get clarification till the new week began. On June 21 at 9.00 we rang and were informed that someone would come that day, and that the cancellation message was an error. However, nobody could come that day, because European Appliance Repair did not recall they had to send two people out. An appointment was made for 3 to 5 on the 23rd, but the same two repairmen appeared at 8 p.m. They announced after 35 minutes that we would need a gasket. We would have to pay for the part and additional labour. They denied that we had told them that we had a leak before my wife cleaned the soap dispenser. We have no idea whether they did not hear what my wife had said or were telling an untruth. It was clear to us that they were in a hurry on both occasions, probably overworked because of the pandemic. We noted that a gasket had been replaced the previous year. Gaskets, we were told, could never be guaranteed because customers often put sharp objects in machines. We spoke to an LG rep. on the phone. He insisted that no further charge would be levied, and that, if we did not get satisfaction, LG would give us an allowance toward a new machine. Two days later we spoke to a woman at European Appliance Repair. They proposed to treat the repair as a separate problem and charge 250 labor plus tax plus the cost of the part (plus, of course, $620 Canadian we had paid for April, 2019 and May, 2020 leaks). They had clearly heard nothing from LG.After this we spoke with three LG reps. (we had difficulty communicating with the first two). The third person with whom we spoke said that a gasket would not normally tear because a few coins had gone through the machine (we do not keep sharp objects in our pockets). Furthermore, he agreed to escalate the issue and get back to us the next day. He warned that the replacement model that succeeded ours might not be stackable with the old dryer, should we decide on replacement by LG. We do not have room to house the units in another way.Naturally enough, nobody from LG did get back to us in 24 hours about our “escalated issue. Today we decided to buy a stackable set made by another manufacturer. We are surrendering a perfectly good dryer - but there appears to be no alternative. On the basis of this experience I would not advise anybody to buy an LG washer or dryer, unless you expect to replace your machine every six years, and to be particularly careful when selecting stackable units.

I was so excited about getting the French door, two drawer model. I have two complaints. First one is the shelves. I have more tall bottles than the fridge accommodates, then there is a short space behind that I can set something in but you have to remove the tall bottles to get to it. The main complaint is the icemaker. The ice balls come out great, it makes 3 a day, however the crushed and cubed work for about a week then nothing for a week then suddenly its working again. We called customer service they referred us to the local technician who apparently hates his job. He would not even come out to look at the problem. He said he would order a new icemaker. At this time the fridge was only 3 weeks old. We had to keep calling him back to check on the new part. Then he never came out with the part until after the 3rd time he said he would come. Then he wouldnt speak to us. After about a month the icemaker quit for a week then started up again and so on. I ordered ice trays on Amazon. No way we will deal with that repairman again. And when he did come out we were really nice and friendly I even told him a few jokes and he totally ignored me. We bought it through Costco.

I have exhausted every option to resolve this matter regarding our LG washer/dryer. Purchased at Home Depot (approx. 2010) with the additional warranty. Upon numerous issues with delivery, installation, drainage, mold, mildew, build up, seals, etc.. Home Depot hires an outside source/third party vendor for service. Just the phone calls alone feel like theyve taken years off my life! The call center that handles the calls is obviously outsourced and makes for major language barriers. We had numerous repairmen assist with the issues. Not one time was there any resolution. We have a family of five and Im blessed as the Laundry Goddess. LG fridge bought in Aug. 2017. Worked good for almost 2 years, and then the madness started in July 2019. As of today the compressor has been changed, then a 2nd trip to fix a leak supposedly, 2 weeks after that the ice maker quits working. Technician is now saying it is the flanges on the freezer doors not sealing properly. Technician orders parts and I get a call today from the parts department saying that parts are on backorder and they have no clue how long it may be. I will never buy an LG appliance again. $2000.00 just does not buy you what it used to. If LG would just own up and say they are selling a defective product and make it right, it might not be so bad. But all they keep doing is kicking the can down the road. I am officially, over it. If something is not done soon, I am to the point of trying to see if I can do anything legally. After couple of days, he came and saw that there is a problem in it and told he will return in a couple of days and went. But later he did not return at all. He did not even receive our calls and we were in search of help, but nothing happened. Later I called to customer care and you people told that it will be done on chargeable basis. Even visiting charges should be beared by the customer. I agreed for that and requested for the executive at my place. And you people struggled a lot to arrange a person to my place but you people failed to do that. But we are the person who is suffering and ultimately our situation is like Wait or Go and as we got an expensive TV from you and fortunately or unfortunately I have got all LG brands in my house (TV, FRIDGE, WASHING MACHINE etc.,) and I am a promoter for LG product. But now am just afraid that how about future of the products I got. How the support and services for these products, am panicked. After submitting that TV they told that it has to be diagnose and it will take a couple of days and we left our TV there and returned. After couple of days, they told that there is a motherboard issue and it will charge you around 7k to 9k.I told them to go ahead and service it. I want the TV to be Fixed. But trust me I have doubt on those technicians over there, I am having an impression that I am in safe hands or someone trying to loot us. But still, I told them to go ahead and service it. Later after a couple of days, I get a call saying that it will take a month to replace it. I told, Okay. Fix it as soon as possible. And later I get one more story that, We need bill sir as this motherboard is not available as of now, if you provide bill then we will look for depreciation and you can go for another model. Now am really frustrated and just cant control myself for simple issue, I am okay with taking TV personally to the service center, I am okay with replacing a motherboard, I am okay with money, I am okay with time. Now its a new phase. They are asking me to go for depreciation. But I managed my self to get the bill and submitted to them but until today am in the same situation and TV is in the same condition. Today 23/12/2017 morning when I called to the customer care, I get these type of responses ie., Sir you need to visit the dealer where you have submitted your TV, and, We cant help you in this, what the hell is this response from LG customer care, I made him realise that he is working for LG then he told that he will arrange call back. Later I called once again and narrated all the story to that lady, she told she will arrange a call back. Thank God that I got a call from LG but now they started with new story which clearly shows that they are cheating openly to the people. When I called in the morning and asked regarding the status of my TV, LG customer care people they told part is not available so it will take some more time. But after an hour I get a call saying that sir your LCD has problem as we are testing on your TV but there is problem in display. Now here we can see clearly, that from main office they are saying part is pending, and from Hospet dealer they are telling that, Sir motherboard we received and testing on it but there is a problem in LCD and it will be fixed with a charge of Rs: 24,000/- extra. If they tell us that its going to cost you more in which we can go for other options by dropping the idea of getting this tv repaired. This is so cheap activity done by you people to grab money or to drop the issue. If you people really need money/dont want to support then try to get it by earning with trust but not by cheating the innocent people, its our hard-earned money we spend on buy expensive gadgets by trusting giant companies. Now I am requesting you again to the experienced/some qualified engineer to look into the issue and solve it. Really LG is stepping back from giving services. Its really gonna affect the brand. I was promoter for the company but you people are making me to go for worst condition... If this is condition for few more customers then soon it is gonna be in helpless situation. I dont know what kind of engineers LG is hiring not capable to repair a simple issue then what for they hire a so-called qualified developers.

Love my big LG with the freezer in the pullout bottom door. Very handy but it can be troublesome. I dont use the ice maker so I know that’s not the problem. If someone doesnt entirely close the freezer door, frost forms quickly. Once closed, defrosting builds up ice in the bottom and the door becomes almost impossible to close properly and water drips onto the floor in front. The solution is fairly easy. Take out the freezer basket from the main drawer and unplug the fridge. Within about 15 minutes you can pry up at the corner of the ice chunk and lift it out in one big chunk. Put the stuff back together and make sure the door seals properly. Turn it back on and put a note on the door to make sure people close it properly after use.

We just took our LG fridge to the dumps. Within the first year we were having problems with the ice maker and were advised to thaw it out and make sure the ice maker didnt freeze up. Then the compressor had went out after less than 4 years. The authorized service shop for northern Utah is Mark-A-Newt. They will not work on a LG fridge anymore. They said that in the last year they have only been paid once for the work they have done for LG, and they dont know of anyone who will work on them. They advised us not to buy another one. I plan on telling everyone I know about LG.

I bought an LG Refrigerator #LFC25770 in November 2008. I paid over $1,500.00 for the French door style with bottom drawer freezer. The compressor keeps coming on and then clicks right off. The freezer thawed and the refrigerator no longer cooled. After doing research online, find that the cause might be the starter relay. I tried to order the part and it is no longer available. You now have to replace the relay, thermostat and compressor; should have been a warning that LG has had this issue before. I called LG customer service since the sealed system was still under warranty for parts. They gave me several contacts that did the warranty service for them. However, no one comes out to my location. I called LG back and they gave me several more names. I called all and once again either they dont service LG or they dont come to my area. Again, I called LG who gave me more names and numbers. Did I mention the time I was wasting and the cost of long distance calls? I was told it was my problem since nobody would come out. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was hung up on. I called back and asked for a supervisor and was transferred and explained the issues with LG and he said he would make the calls and try to find someone. To say I am not happy with LG would be putting it mildly. The products and the service suck.

LG 4 door French Door Refridge. I purchased a Refrigerator in December 2016
LG 4 door French Door Refridge. I purchased a Refrigerator in December 2016 which makes it 3 years old, in April 2019 I had to have a new compressor installed already, now both the freezers are creating snow and ice and I cant open the drawers. I called and they told me that I had to defrost the entire refrigerator/freezer first and wait 8 hours. Not only did I do that I waited two days to make sure everything was dry, once I determined that it was, I plugged the unit back in, overnight it started to create ice and snow again. I called back, after 45 minutes on the phone with someone I could hardly understand, giving them every number possible and all the info, they pass me to the scheduling dept to have someone come out to look at it, they charged me $125 up front service fee just to have tech come out to my home, that does not include the repair or parts, really! This is only a three year old appliance, that has had problems already, what piece of junk. I am 55 years old and for once in my life I was able to afford a better product, well that was what I thought I was getting, paying a heavy price for the refrigerator, I thought LG was supposed to be a great product, well WRONG, they truly dont care about us, they want us to do all this troubleshooting first, I dont pretend to be an engineer, they should be sending out a tech for free especially for a three year old unit. I am so disgusted with LG. I will never purchase any of their products again. I am sure this refrigerator will cause me so much grief and money that I will have to get rid of it. And furthermore, I have a 20 year old GE refrigerator in my garage that I have never had to have any service on and it stills works great, just a little rust on it, so I moved it to the garage, It beats LG for sure. BUY AMERICAN FOLKS!

LG refrigerator Mod.# LMXS30776S/01 - As many other buyers have pointed out, these refrigerators are garbage. Mine quit within 18 months of purchase, I had a local repairman who replaced compressor and still does not work. I can get no-one to help me at LG, and they have no service personnel within 100 miles of my area. Several people have suggested a class action lawsuit, and I would be a willing participant. I will never, ever, buy another LG product.
