Samsung Dryer Model DV40J3000EW
We bought a bottom-freezer fridge in June. It worked fine at first (although we were on vacation for 3 weeks in July and August). In August, water appeared on our floor, and was traced to a slow drip from the water dispenser. Samsung sent the problem to a local service shop, who told us to run 2-3 gallons through the dispenser to purge air from the lines. This had been done by installer; we did it and the drip persisted. The tech came to our house and reduced the water pressure. Drip persisted. NOW Samsung tells us that future service calls are our responsibility, for a new unit still on warranty!!
Full disclosure, this is all on me. Now that Ive seen how poor their service is, Im looking at all these reviews, and thinking I should have done this prior to purchasing. But I digress, I bought $10k worth of their top of the line appliances in the new black stainless finish. Almost immediately, the ice maker is dripping water and quits making ice. Samsung sends a tech and first thing he says is that these units are garbage and that the $300 part that is broken after only a month will break every year, as long as I own it. Not exactly what I wanted to hear!So after months of back and forth with the worst customer service dept I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with, Samsung says they will replace the fridge. They send it via freight with delivery guys who have no idea how to install. So they tear the ** out of the old one, beat up my house, and ultimately cant get the new one in. So they leave me with the old one that is now beat up scratched all to hell, and not working. Samsung says no problem, well send another! What!?! What about the brand new one you already sent on the truck? And the brand new one you just trashed?? They couldnt care less.So I finally get Home Depot to replace the fridge, and then, while wiping the appliances down with a microfiber towel, a chunk of the finish comes off the range. So I call Samsung back and they tell me, No prob, well send a tech to fix. They set an appointment for the next week and I wait. Appointment time comes and goes and no tech. I call back, they say, We cancelled because youre out of warranty. Wait, these are only a few months old! Oh, yeah, I guess youre right... Ok, well send a tech. Cancelled.I get a supervisor on the line, and she says, It keeps getting cancelled because its cosmetic, and thats not covered under your warranty. So the paint can just fall off and thats not covered!?! So I get really pissed and she says, OK, well send a tech, but if there is any sign that you caused the paint to chip, then youre paying for it. Fine, agreed. Get an email the next day, Your service appointment has been cancelled. I am literally speechless...these appliances look great, but they are total garbage. But the company is worse. Save yourself a LOT of aggravation...avoid Samsung.
Sometimes I find items that are slightly frozen in the refrigerator and the air circulation could be better. But I still love Samsung Refrigerator.
I bought a French door refrigerator in Nov of 2013. In October of 2014 I notice a large amount of water accumulating under the vegetable drawers. I sopped it and didnt think too much about it. After 3 more months, not only was it under the drawers but in them. I called Samsung and they told me after a year, it had to be under an extended warranty. I have a home warranty which I called in April, was told the fan burned out. It took 9 weeks for the part to come in and another 3.5 to get the repairman back out. It is fixed BUT I was told the water problem will come back as Samsung has a running problem with this happening. I will NEVER buy another Samsung appliance and Im telling anyone that will listen what JUNK they are selling to us.
The first service call the technician installed a repair kit for the fan in the rear of the unit, a common problem Samsung recommended to stop the noise. Several days later it was making a different noise - it sounds like the compressor. The same technician came back and could not hear anything abnormal. Now, 3 weeks later the noise is louder. The service advisor I called advised me if the technician does not hear a noise I will be charged for the service call. This unit is 2 months old. Our previous refrigerator was 30 years old and was much quieter than this one.
I bought a new Samsung Stainless Steel Range in November 2011. I was away for 3 years and the stove was hardly used. Just got home and was cooking for about two months. It seems to have a problem heating the oven and cooking a small chicken takes much too long. Burned on the top and undercooked below. But the MAJOR issue was my exploding cooktop. I was sitting in the living room. I had just warmed my soup and had turned the cooktop off. I then heard a major explosion... like a gun going off in the kitchen. The cooktop had completely shattered. There was nothing on the stove thank goodness and no glass was projected into the room but it really scared me. I know from reading the other complaints I share customer experiences of poor quality and feeling afraid of your stove. I also know they will tell me the stove is past its warranty. I wont even try. It was defective with only 7 months of real use. Built in obsolescence is alive and well with Samsung.
Both caused the same problems after a year from purchase. I will never purchase a Samsung refrigerator even if price is better as repairs and aggravations outweigh money spent. Never buy!!! Just bought two new GE refrigerators which last forever.
I bought the dishwasher almost 6 years ago from Lowes and it has been repaired twice for the same issue! This time it is no longer under the purchased EXTENDED warranty and is costing me nearly $300 to repair! NOT happy!
I spoke to the customer service center on 3 occasions about the black stainless chipping off, nice then I have only used wet paper towels and the black stainless “appearance” has in places completely WIPED off! The range was over 2 grand and I was told there is nothing Samsung will do for a cosmetic issue. DO NOT TRUST THESE PRODUCTS! Completely shocked and dismayed!
Purchased a Samsung Family Hub refrigerator and a Flex Wash washer and dryer 8 months ago. Since then have had the refrigerator ice maker freeze up about every 2 weeks. The fridge has been repaired with ice maker replaced 4 times. Now the washing machine has an error code that Samsung cannot find anyone to fix. Samsung does not offer refunds even though their appliances are junk but does offer replacements. (Oh yay) Samsung guaranteed delivery/replacement in 10 days. This is day 12 with no communication from Samsung. Many hours spent on the phone with Samsung, 4 service trips for the ice maker and now a guaranteed time frame on a replacement that did not happen. Samsung does not care about its customers and sells expensive appliances they do not support. Stay away from these and all Samsung appliances!
I purchased a Samsung French Door freezer on the bottom refrigerator from hhgregg in April 2014. Heres a list of problems... Door handle didnt fit, had to get new doors. Ice maker cubes frost over. Come out cubes and crushed together, water works sporadically. Repairman been here twice, still not repaired. Water filter leaked, flooded kitchen floor. Apparently you have to move the refrigerator out and turn water off at back each time you change filter (never had another refrigerator that required that). Repairman could not roll out because the rollers on bottom of fridge have gone flat and will not roll so requires dolly to move each time you change filter. PIECE OF JUNK!!! Would not buy Samsung ever again!!!
I have a couple of Samsung products and all work well. I have just purchased a fridge, model: RB 29FWRNDSA last month, and is working well. If it gives any problems I will post on this format!
I spent over $2500 for a new Samsung counter depth refrigerator in mid 2015 after I remodel my kitchen. It works fine for about 1 1/2 year. After 1 1/2 year, I started to have problems. A year ago the freezer will not go down to the temperature I set. Even I set it to minor 8 degree F, it only went down 15 degree F. I was advised by some website to reset the refrigerator by turning off the power overnight. I did and it worked again. Six months ago, no ice came out from the ice maker. I open the ice maker and found it completely frozen. I turned the power off and blow some warm air to melt the ice. After I removed the ice, it worked again.A couple weeks ago, the freezer warmed up again. This time, I know resetting the refrigerator can only solve the problem for a few months so I called Samsung service center. A technical came, open the freezer and spent half an hours checking. He told me that defrost sensor went bad and the ice built up blocking the cold air from entering the freezer. Also the cover needed to be replaced. I ask him if the repair will take care of the ice maker frozen problem. He told me that it is a different problem and many people have the same problem due to design issue and Samsung offered to repair it free even warranty expired. I called Samsung but with no luck, Samsung refused to have it fixed. Repairing the ice maker will cost another $400.The technician left and 2 days later, another technician came with the parts. He did some more checking and told me that the cover did not need to be replaced but the control board did not send power to the heater. Unfortunately, the previous technician did not check the control board so he need to order the control board and will come back later. He told me that I should purchase extended warranty. I went to online chat with Samsungs Chat site and was told that I can purchase extend warranty even the refrigerator warranty expired. The gentlemen even told me that the I should get some discount for the current repair if I elected to purchase extended warranty. He gave me the number to call.I called Samsung extended warranty department and found out that extend warranty cost $550 a year and will be effective 30 days after all repairs were done and I needed to show them receipts of all repairs. There will be no discount to current repair either. I was surprised that extended warranty cost $550/year for a refrigerator. The conclusion was the refrigerator will experience problems very often, maybe an average of once a year because average repair cost will be 4 to 5 hundred dollar each time. This policy tells us to expect Samsung refrigerator to be repaired once a year. This morning, I found out that the water dispenser at the refrigerator started leaking. Oh boy, another problem I have to deal with. I did a quick estimate. It will cost me about $1450 to have everything repaired and spend $550 for a one year extended warranty. That is $2000. Should I buy a new one instead. My last refrigerator was a 20 years old GE. It is still in the garage working fine. The other one was a 35 years old Whirlpool. I gave it away when I purchased the Samsung. My GE and Whirlpool gave me a combined 55 years of trouble free service while the Samsung gave me 3 problems in 2 1/2 years.
I bought a Samsung dishwasher from Home Depot last year. Screws have fallen out so that it wobbles and leans forward when putting dishes in and out of the washer. I complained to the store when it was only 6 mo. old. They told me to call the Samsung. The company told me to call the installer which Home Depot supplied and could not tell me who it was. No one would take responsibility. So I paid approx $400.00 for a dishwasher that is always wobbling.
We remodeled our kitchen in 2011, bought all new appliances, all Samsung, stove, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher, on 12/18/2010. There are only the two of us, however I only use it when we have a full load. We rinse our dishes, therefore no smells and I keep it clean. However, it started not finishing the complete normal cycle giving me a s3 code. I had my repairman to look at it ($75). He also had a discussion with online help. We ordered the part ($50). He installed it ($100), still got the same thing and my repairman was told this may not fix it. Then we would have to order a pump, not knowing how much a pump is and $225.00 later and being told this could happen in another 2-4 years. We have bought a new dishwasher, and sure isnt a SAMSUNG. I do expect my appliances to last longer than 4 years.
This gas range fails within a year!!! PLUS it has been a total nightmare getting service for Samsung products. I finally realize from other reviews their products for the home are subpar. Only 1/2 the oven has worked the full oven has not. Now I have a brand new range with only a 1/2 oven!!! It is my understanding from reading other reviews if you use the self cleaning feature it MELTS the buttons and the circuit board. BEWARE OF THE short lived quality of the Samsung brand for this kind of product.
We bought a Samsung RF261BEAEBC refrigerator in February of 2013. In early November of 2013 the water dispenser cover broke. I was directed to Samsungs customer service number by the retailer and was told by Samsung that the warranty was from the date of manufacture and not from the consumer purchase date. I was floored and asked to talk to a supervisor. After being on the phone for over 45 minutes, they finally agreed to send a technician to replace the part (it snaps on and off - they could have just put one in the mail).
We were excited to buy our Samsung fridge. It looked nice, was spacious, LED lighting, and more. But we have had a lot of problems with the freezer, and so far, it has not been fully addressed. We have lost food, Samsung repair has been out 2 times, replaced 3 different parts, insulted us on the phone - and yet the freezer still has problems. When this first started, we did not realize the freezer was building up ice on the back of the drawer; this area is not visible. Ice was apparently also building up on the rails. So the freezer had trouble closing, and at some point it stayed open about 1/8 for a few days and we lost all our food. We had no idea this was happening. We had Samsung repair come out and they replaced 2 parts. It is a long story, but we were initially led to believe we would get reimbursed for our food loss; not only did Samsung refuse to do that, but a Samsung employee actually called us, and blamed us. Apparently that person was unaware that Samsungs own repair people had replaced two different parts. Blaming us is an attempt at intimidation, to avoid paying the reimbursement. We have this call recorded on voice mail as well. We had no freezer at all for a whole MONTH - for the Samsung repair process - but I do not get the feeling from anyone I have talked to that Samsung cares about this. And the repair did not fully work. Our problems continue, and we can hear ice dropping. A Samsung employee told us there were no complaints about our model at all, which is hard to believe because when we had Samsung repair come out again, the repairman said there was an actual Service Bulletin out on our model. He replaced another part, so that is 3 different parts replaced. Yet, after this 3rd part was replaced, our freezer continues to drop ice. From extensive observation, it seems likely to me that this is a design problem, for Samsung lower-drawer freezers that have ice cubes in the lower drawer. They overfill the container and fall out of the back. And this is not just my opinion - that the design is at fault - one of the repairmen also talked about this.So its been close to a year now that we have had freezer problems. The way Samsung has treated us - trying to blame us for this, and refusing for a long time to reimburse our food loss - has left us very unhappy with Samsung. They finally did reimburse us recently but only after we went to Twitter, LinkedIn, and other places. We are posting on social media (and on this website) because we want people to know what our experience is. Samsung did not have to treat us this way. I have even started a website also about this, and it has a blog too at: **. I suppose Samsung repair could come out yet again - but if its a defective design, then there is nothing that a repairman can do.Since Samsung seems unable (or unwilling) to help us get this resolved, we will at some point just sell this thing, at a big loss no doubt, and find some other brand of refrigerator. If you want to avoid what we have gone through, I recommend you do NOT buy a Samsung refrigerator - or any other Samsung products, if their customer service in other products is as bad as this!
Purchased my Samsung range from Lowes April 4, 2016. It was delivered on April 9, 2016 and installed that same day. April 9, 2017 - Exactly 1 year since install (but according to Samsung, out of warranty), I used the self-cleaning feature. Within 2 hrs (the cycle was set for 3), the front display panel went black, and oven stayed locked. After trying to submit a warranty claim, and finding out I was 5 days past the warranty, I called a repair company. The repairman told me never use the self-cleaning option as this happens all the time, it causes some temperature sensor to fail and can burn out control boards as well. Lucky for me he was able to disable the oven lock. Again something he says they cant always do and then the door has to be replaced as well.My previous range was a much more expensive DACOR and I used the self-cleaning feature all the time. The only reason I had to replace the range was because I dropped something on the glass top and the replacement glass was no longer available because the range was 16 YEARS old! According to the repairman its the way the newer ranges, like this Samsung, are now made and he told me again not to use this feature. Why buy a self-cleaning stove and cant use it??? I have had the repairman out twice (as he thought it may be the boards) and Im now waiting for the temperature sensor to come so he can install. I will never buy another Samsung product again (and should have learned when I replaced my Bosch dishwasher with a Samsung dishwasher and is also failed during the first year, replacing a 16-year-old dishwasher as well).
Purchased a new Samsung refrigerator when we purchased our home in 2011. Continued issues with the lights in the door. When you get ice, its almost impossible to stop it from spilling on the floor. Will never purchase Samsung again.
I have this fridge for 1.5 years. Love the size, but milk is always going sour before the expiry date; cheese molding; and leftovers didnt last. Rationalized all these things - must be leaving the milk out too long, must have dirty kids hands touching the cheese, etc. Because the digital temperature reading said it was 34 deg in the fridge, it must be accurate right? Wrong! Verification by 3 separate mercury and digital thermometers show that the fridge compartment temp runs 40-50 deg and thats in winter (wonder how warm it had been running last summer!). This is everywhere in the fridge compartment, top shelf, bottom shelf, door, right next to the ice maker, etc. I cannot find any place in the fridge that runs less than 40 degrees. In hindsight, no wonder food was spoiling! The fridge programming will not allow the temperature to be set any lower than 34F. Service technician has replaced the main control board and the digital touch screen assembly. Have not resolved the problem. I phoned Samsung customer support and was only told that since the factory warranty is expired, they can and will do nothing. Suspecting a design flaw that they are aware of. I will update if ever fixed. Freezer and flex-drawer hold reasonable to programmed temperature (generally 2-6 degrees above programmed temp, sometimes 10 degrees higher), but those compartments have larger programming range. Can program the freezer to -8 and the flex-drawer to 29, so even if they run higher than programmed, it is OK for food storage. But even with fridge set as low as it will go (34), it still is too warm for safe food storage.
BEWARE. Had problems from the first week. Leaks like crazy on the heavy wash cycle. After several service calls and repairs we gave up and stopped using that cycle as the issue could never be resolved. We only use the express cycle to avoid leakage. Worked that way for a year. Now we have a computer problem where the key pad just blinks but the dishwasher wont start. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt. Most expensive piece of garbage weve ever purchased. So sick of service calls. Going to trash this piece of junk and cut our VERY EXPENSIVE losses. This was supposed to be top of the line. Dont be fooled. Its garbage.
I purchased a new stove from H H Gregg in Myrtle Beach, SC. The controls in the stove area went out. I had them replaced by a Samsung repair man. Now there is a problem with the oven. I’ve been trying to get someone to listen to my problem and fix it. However, I am being told that is how my oven should work, because he has spoken to 40 other customers and the engineer at Samsung told him that is how my oven should work. I am not satisfied at all with the Samsung stove purchased at H H Gregg. I am unhappy with the run around from Samsung and their repair man. The repair man has not even looked at my oven. My stove top controls, yes.
We purchased a French door refrigerator with the top and bottom ice makers. After a year or so, we noticed a lot of frost build up in the freezer and the drawer was increasingly difficult to open. Shortly after that, large chunks of flat ice began falling on the floor. After a little investigation, it was discovered ice was building up on the bottom of the freezer door and continues to be a problem. We have to defrost every 2 months or so.
We purchased a Samsung kitchen bundle (microwave, refrigerator, oven and dishwasher) from Home Depot. A week after installation the microwave caught fire and created a burned hole on the inside of the microwave. Contacted Samsung and have been spinning for 2 weeks now as they will not replace this unit, only repair it. At this point we paid for a BRAND NEW unit, 2 weeks ago, and we have zero confidence in the reliability and safety of this unit being repaired. Samsung has been very unresponsive to our request. Cannot believe that big corporations can treat people in this way. Taking our hard earned money and not replacing like for like.
Bought a Samsung electric range (NE595R0ABSR) a little over 3 yrs ago and last week the circuit board caught on fire. Called Samsung about it and they told me that they would take care of the parts required, and all I had to do was pay for the installation from the contracted service repair. Now the third party service repair company told me that I had to pay for the parts and not the repair. The cost of parts a little over $430.00. Might as well buy a new stove and it will certainly not be a Samsung. Hopefully a class action lawsuit will come out against Samsung for their highly dangerous stove. I seen on a Canadian website that a few of them had the exact same problem. I will ensure that all Airmen under my command know what horrible customer service Samsung has and how dangerous their products are. I do not want any of them to have to worry about problems from their appliances when they are deployed.
Side by side fridge - Have had new over 2,000.00 fridge for 2 years. Bought at Lowes. Samsung has changed filter with no explanation. Have gone to Lowes for help but to no avail. Still trying to get help from someone to put this filter in that is suppose to fit. No trouble prior. They just changed it and will not help us. Do we have a chance of Samsung helping???
I purchased and Stove from you guys. Y’all offered me a refund because the parts are on back order and then rejected the refund but want service. It either only had the range for 7 to 8 months and they serviced it 4 times and still not working. At a lost right now. Feeling duped by your company. Vickie **.
Samsung’s refrigerators are nothing but disappointment. Their refrigerators are not cheap, so you would think you get what you pay for... but you’re paying for a fridge that doesn’t cool the food and when it is it is never the posted temperature. This fridge will not only cost you thousands to purchase, but then thousands in lost food due to spoilage and hundreds if not thousands in repairs. Samsung’s warranty and customer service are jokes, and neither can help in rectifying their wrongdoings! They have been selling the same faulty design in all their refrigerators since 2006 despite the class action suit against them for their faulty design. They will tell you it’s a rare issue... it is not. There is a service bulletin out about it. They’re aware. They just don’t care. Last week my Samsung “fridge” caused mold in my toddlers cup due to improper cooling, this is how I discovered (for the 3rd time) it stopped cooling once again... despite it reading a temperature of 38*... not cooling while displaying a temp that indicates it is, is causing unsafe food temps that have made people sick! They don’t care. There is a reason there is an FB group of over 25,000 asking for a recall on all Samsung refrigerators. If you make it through the warranty period without issues, rest assured your product will break in 1 months time. Don’t buy Samsung. It is nothing but pretty TRASH!
DMT300 Dishwasher - Low water level error. Over and over since the machine was just over a year old. Most problematic appliance I have ever owned. Can fix it by cleaning out the level switch assembly. I have done this 3 times. Had to pay for a manual to learn to press HEAVY, DELICATE, and POWER together to get into the diagnostic mode. The manual supplied with the dishwasher is pretty much useless.
Nothing has happened, thats the problem. We have had issues since we purchased it in March 2014. Almost immediately the popping and hissing noises started. The company said thats common but its cooling, right? If I wanted a noisy refrigerator I would have ask for one. Then during power outages it wont allow you to reset it for 24 hours. It reads as a freezer error and requires a technician to visit. So you have to wait 24 hours to find out if there is or isnt an issue to report. You cant reach anyone except online after 5 or on the weekends. So if your fridge goes down Friday at 5 you are at the mercy of a Tyler on the Samsung website who says the same thing every time...... this error needs a technician, here is a number or can an email. Then the wait. We are on the phone for the first time with a foreign speaking woman who is giving us the......a technician will call you in 24 hours. Meanwhile we have an airplane in our kitchen and no idea if our food will survive. The technician will call to set up a time within 24 hours. No idea when the actual guy will make it to our house. Worse experience I have ever had with a company. Never will I buy from them again.
Purchased my gas range 3 years ago. Paint on bottom of oven has blistered and starting to rust and also spider like cracks. Contacted Samsung and wont do anything saying its physical damage. Yeah like l did it. Haha. Dont purchase these expensive products. They are garbage and dont stand behind defective products. No wonder our landfills are full. Its due to companies like this who make products that dont last. I remember having appliances for over 25 years and only got rid of them because the color went out. And they didnt get dumped because they still worked and were passed onto the needy.
The refrigerator is 3 months out of warranty and I just started to have a freeze up problem on the coil and fan motor behind the rear interior wall. The service tech has been out 4 times over a short period of time and still cant fix the problem. I spent over $1000 just to be told this week from Samsung that the refrigerator cant be fixed because of a FLAW. I asked them for some type of credit and they refused. Thats it for Samsung. I am buying another brand and if there is a class action suit count me in.
Turned the oven on this evening. It wouldnt heat past 150. There appears to be no sound coming from the fan. I cant believe that a Samsung appliance would stop working this quickly. Called Samsung and they said Out of warranty. So sorry youre screwed. I absolutely will never buy another Samsung Appliance again.
Same experience as those described. Dishwasher does not clean dishes, smells and does not dry. Thought we had a problem with hard water but after reading reviews, looks like it is not the water. Purchased in May of 2013. Bought Samsung kitchen package and washer and dryer. Also having issues with dryer working properly. Only dries clothes on timed dry.
Samsung appliances are a joke. Samsung French door fridge icemaker freezes up constantly. Tech says he makes a living replacing them. But, it doesnt matter... it wont keep working. Samsung dishwasher cleans dishes IF theyve been washed first. Now, one burner on our expensive Samsung range does not light, but... it does spew out gas! Nice safety feature, huh? REALLY! DONT BUY SAMSUNG JUNK... They dont care... REALLY! They dont. Youve been warned!
My home burned in 2014. On purchasing a new home, I chose Samsung appliances, including the range - a 4 burner gas model with a grill in the center. It also has a food warmer. After 6 years of use, I have had no problems and very much enjoy cooking on this range.
Purchased a Samsung convection microwave oven for 299 Sing dollars and the very first day I wanted to bake muffins. Heavy smoke came out of the oven and filled the whole kitchen and spread to other rooms. I panicked and switched off and called the company. They said the technician can come only after two days. Then the technician arrived and said the coil has gone and replaced it. By then, the back of the oven looked all burned out. I wanted a replacement as it was on extended warranty, but the repair person said that it will not have any more issues. Tried to bake again, this time, the cake was not cooked in the middle, only the sides were cooked and it was all a mess. My previous oven was Sharp convection, used it for 9 years without any problem. I will never buy the Samsung oven again and will not recommend to anyone.
We bought a stainless steel side by side refrigerator in February 2013. In less than a month, we had problems with the ice maker not making ice. They came out and did some type of repair and in another month, we had to call them again. The refrigerator is only 18 months old and should not be having problems at all (We had one that lasted 20 years). We talked to the factory rep via phone and they just basically said, Sorry, but its out of warranty. Too bad. It will be the last Samsung fridge we ever buy. In fact, we will probably junk it and buy an LG which we really do like a lot. Just not right to have unsolved problems and have to pay out of our pockets for the repair.
Only a year old and the microwave just beeps when not in use and the exhaust fan goes crazy beeping.
I purchased this model in May of 2016. For the past 6 months it randomly works. The screen flashes 777s sometimes, sometimes nothing at all and currently has completely stopped working altogether and the screen shows C-FO. It was an expensive microwave purchased with 2 other black stainless Samsung products, one being a $2500 refrigerator that has quit producing ice. Ive contacted Samsung and they will not stand behind their products. Very dissatisfied and will never recommend any of their products.
I had purchased a Samsung Fridge double door of 325 ltr capacity during Jan 2011. The Fridge was not giving good response right from the date of purchase i.e. watering, freezer not working, frequent sensor and motherboard problems. I had complained to Samsung that you have delivered a faulty fridge, so replace a good Samsung Fridge or repay the amount. They did not lisen any one of my offer to satisfy the customer. They CHEATED ME and assured that we will rectify the issue and deliver you perfectly. They took the unit to service center and got repaired. Till date I am facing one or the other problem in every 4 months time and I require to pay for each service and even I have to pay to the technician for just inspecting the fridge where the reply from the technician was that the proper thermacol is not available for the top door fridges and they themselves say that all top door fridges will have the same problem and hence they same problem will continue even after repair. I had a single door 190 ltr Whirlpool fridge without problem for ten years except to defrosting.A fridge is an immovable item in a house and an amount hard earned money Rs.25000 is invested on a fridge of a reputed company and if it is giving frequent problems one or other and spending nearly one-fourth of cost of fridge for the past 6 yrs is really painful and it is great loss to the customer and giving mental agony hence I have been forced purchased an another fridge from Whirlpool for for Rs.22000/- which is an unwanted additional expenditure created by Samsung company. I came to a conclusion after 6 years since I lost faith on SAMSUNG company instead of keep on spending money for repairing the worst Samsung fridge, I have been forced to purchase my old brand from Whirlpool company. Further the service center at Guindy is also one of the worst service provider and the technicians are not properly qualified, since they are not experienced and charging for the same problems from the customer and the service center is disobedient to Samsung company. Even Samsung company says not to charge for the same problem the service center either do not listen to them or leave the job half baked or not responding further even after repeated phone calls. Hence, in view of the above I advise the public NOT TO PURCHASE SAMSUNG FRIDGE AT ANY COST since all module of SAMSUNG FRIDGE are VERY WORST FRIDGE.
In 2010 I purchased five Samsung appliances with a five-year extended warranty. Shortly after the first year every one of the appliances had issues. I emailed Samsung and they did not even have the courtesy to reply. The stove had so many replacement parts, it was practically a rebuilt and finally deemed a lemon by Samsung. The dishwasher never cleaned well from the start despite following all the guidelines, had major parts replaced and finally stopped working all together. It was deemed a lemon and replaced. The fridge had water pooling in and under a crisper. That problem was fixed after three service calls and now it is doing the same thing. The washer stopped dispensing hot water and had major parts replaced. The dryer element burned out right after one year and then the door started having trouble staying closed. The dryer was less than three years old and Samsung could not supply a replacement door. The dishwasher was finally replaced with a new one and is nowhere near the quality of the first model. It will be a year old in June and is already having cleaning issues. The stove and dryer were three years old on an extended warranty when Samsung offered a buy out. I assumed that meant they would be paying enough money to replace the appliances. After all, the warranty states they would fix or replace defective appliances. That was not the case. The buyout fell short of actually being able to replace the same items. Dont fall for that song and dance. I thought I was buying a good name and good quality with Samsung. I was not.
I love the size and the French doors on top and freezer drawer. But HATE the ice buildup under the crisper drawers that needs to be chopped out every few months, despite the humidity controls...
Two technicians from two separate repair places were sent by Samsung and each said the diagnostics were not showing a problem so the unit is working correctly and the company is not at fault. Well the dishes do not get clean, the dryer does not dry, the glasses break because they fall over, and the water glasses actually have food spattered and dried on them when they are removed from the unit. Shame on Samsung for producing a dishwasher that actually ultimately makes glasses dirtier than when they were placed in the machine!
Contacted Samsung customer service following discovery of many Samsung microwave SMH8165ST, faulty control panel. Customers who reported help from Samsung. Yet, they would not help me with the same problem. The error code SE came on and does not clear when microwave is unplugged. Samsung admitted to me the problem was epidemic when I called them. Because they do not have any authorized Samsung service providers near me, they will not help with repair costs. Therefore, I would not ever purchase a Samsung product again.
My dishwasher, another model Samsung (they all seem to have similar issues), worked great first 6-8 months. Then would shut off and need to be restarted every few loads. Then every load, eventually several times for each load. Dishes were not clean, but covered in tiny particles of crud. Started to smell, with black gunk around front seals. Had to remove spray arms and filter to clean them out which appeared to resolve the multiple starts issue, but even after cleaning the seals, not the dirty wet dog smell. Began pre-washing everything before loading, to the point that a dishwasher was somewhat redundant. Dishes came out dirtier than they went in, requiring rewashing. Handle grips on front of racks began degrading and uprights on racks started breaking off. Within three months the multiple starts per load started again, and quickly reached the point of not running at all. Dismantled again, also cleaning out float on side of machine under metal panel. Took off handle grips which were leaving a sticky residue on anything (including hands) that touched them. Crud stuck under there too. Job took over an hour. A repairman may have done it faster, but the only $ I will resentfully sink into this clunker now is the dump fee.Its not yet two years old, does not clean dishes, is falling apart, and smells disgusting. It needs about an hours work outside the cabinet every few months to clean out minor amounts of well rotted compost that it is incapable of disgorging on its own. And it still smells like a dirty wet dog. I think these machines might be a health hazard in addition to being utterly useless. Will never buy a Samsung appliance again. They should stick to phones.
As many of us do I bought my Samsung four door refrigerator on sale at Lowes. I paid $1,800 for a nearly $3,500 unit. I thought I was getting an awesome deal. Then the ice maker started acting up and I had to have it repaired about every 3 months until they deemed the unit defective but the repairman had told me several occasions that he come that he had prepared multitude of the exact same problem the ice maker in that exact same unit. So I tell Samsung that I really dont want to get the same unit and they you know I had been originally told that repair place it was something better. Better means more valuable and or a newer model or the exact same thing one. Now Im being told that I have to take the $1,800 that I paid for it which I cant replace it for because its not on sale right now and pretty much eat it even though I just bought two other matching Samsung appliances. I am pretty furious and I hope that this gets resolved.
Bought two fridges. Within 4 months water was accumulating on the bottom of the fridge compartment in one then the second one did same at six months... Replaced fridge fan on both since ice buildup damaged both units... Replaced heater elements on both as they both failed, replaced PC board main on both as well as PC inverter board. One is running. Other has died again with the user-control-and-display-board having failed along with freezer fan failure. Now has burnt insulation smell and no power to interior lights. Repairman was stumped. Considering using these appliances as anchors. Never had so much trouble and spent so much on two fridges. Worthless. Samsung should stick to making phones.
I have a less than 2 yr. old Samsung 4-door fridge. Two months after I got it the ice maker started dripping. It took 7 service calls to finally fix it by replacing the fan on the motor. Now it is only cooling to 50 degrees in the fridge part. Freezer is ok. I called Home Depot warranty dept. and they called a TV repair shop (???) to come look at it. The shop told me they wanted to order parts before looking at it. Ten days later they tell me the parts arent all in and they will try to make it out on Mon (this is Fri) if the parts come in. This is so unacceptable! I would think a fridge that cost over $3000 should not be breaking down in the first place. Samsung says since I didnt buy their warranty, tough luck. After reading all of the reviews, I have a really bad feeling about this whole mess. Whatever happened to good service???UPDATED ON 09/24/2015: In my review back in July I reported that my Samsung fridge was not cooling and that I was having difficulty getting someone to repair it. Since then, the TV repair place called and said the compressor was out and they couldnt fix it because it takes R600 refrigerant and they didnt deal with it. Since it was supposedly the compressor, it was covered by Samsung, who sent yet another guy out to look at it; he said it was not the compressor but the computer board, so Samsung wouldnt cover it. After many back and forth calls to Home Depot, they finally sent me a check for the full price of my fridge, plus $300 for lost food. They told me to dispose of the fridge however I wanted to. Long story short, my brother-in-law from Florida, who has done appliance repair for 40 years, came up. Within an hour, he had recharged the compressor with R134 refrigerant and told me it had a very minute leak that wouldnt give me problems for a very long time. That was Aug. 1. The fridge has ran perfectly ever since. Upon returning to FL, he found out that Samsung had, in fact, recalled this fridge on July 1. So, I dont know how long this fix will last, but so far, so good. Anyone else in this situation should press Samsung for a refund. Apparently there is a problem with using R600 in the States, which they should have known before they started selling them here. Guess they figured they could just sell you a new one when this one died. Go figure!
Samsung Refrigerator RF4287HA. I am so upset with my refrigerator. My husband and I had our LG refrigerator, which was purchased in 2010, replaced with the Samsung one after we noticed that the inside cabinet was cracking all across the unit. We reviewed the reviews at the time the Samsung fridge was considered... We found great reviews...however, our experience has been nothing but. Our ice maker sticks and has water dripping off of the back, causing it to freeze over, the left side freezer door keeps freezing over with water causing it not to stick to the unit upon closing. We have had the back freezer wall unit replaced, the freezer door rubber replaced, the ice maker parts replaced, and guess what? It is still experiencing the same issues. I am at my wits end right now. I am currently on the phone with Samsung again...waiting for customer service... Guess I will be waiting for another hour for someone to come to the line. I am frustrated because a unit this expensive should not have this many problems this soon. I thought Samsung was a good product but I may have to reconsider this thought. Repairmen are aggravated and so is my husband. Why are these units freezing up? I just dont understand this!!! Oh wait... I almost forgot... the snack drawer control panel had to be replaced right after I received the unit and the doors have not closed properly since about that same time as well. I called Samsung about this problem, and they said that it should close properly and that they could not tell me why it was not doing so. A repairman came out and said that screws were missing. Called them back to asked for the screws to be sent to me. They wanted to charge me and said shortly thereafter, that they could not tell me which screws were missing. I needed to tell them information so that they could find out from a third party manufacturer... and yes, I am still on hold for a representative to come on the line. I am beyond done with this company... first it was their phones, then their washers, now the refrigerators and after all this typing, they just hung up the phone on me... Go figure!
We bought our Samsung dishwasher thinking that all dishwashers were the same. This was just an upgraded appliance that would match our new refrigerator. Were we wrong! The LC code popped up one night after it drained out the water on our kitchen floor. No matter if I opened the door or closed it the dishwasher ran. I had to cut the power off to the dishwasher to get it to stop. Hours on the phone to Samsung only to be sent to some place for repairs that was over three hours away. Looked up reviews for this place and they were terrible. We ended up going back to Home Depot that night where we bought it from. No problem, they took it back and we purchased a KitchenAid for just $100 more. This was on a Sunday evening and we had our new dishwasher on Friday morning. Home Depot stepped up big time on this one. Apparently theres been a lot of this going on and they werent surprised but really couldnt say the words. When our installer came over he also couldnt say the words but did agree with the statement that Samsung dishwashers were the ones they replaced the most. Ill spend the time researching before our next appliance purchase. I guess appliances arent all about the looks and the fancy technology now. Experiences from actual consumers tell the real story. Needless to say we wont be buying any products from Samsung.
I bought a Samsung fridge (RFG296HDPN) from Lowes and the dispenser is not working right. It locks itself and then no matter how many times I try, it does not unlock, which means no cold water, crushed ice or whole ice. This panel will stay locked for a week or two and then unlock on its own. The lower drawer or crisper came cracked and one of the shelves where the ice maker is located has a thin line crack also. I work and have to take a full day for a repair and when I called them, they gave me a work order number. If they call back and I dont pick up, they cancel it, so I called in for another one. So I have two work orders, and they told me the repair person is waiting on parts. Now someone named Brittany says that its cosmetic and they do not do cosmetic. I asked to speak with a supervisor and they say I have to wait for an hour. A malfunctioning dispenser for me is not cosmetic, not on a $3,000 refrigerator that will be a year old in August. I have explained this over and over again when I called and when the technicians called now, they asked me if its locked, call then when it is. Well, I have on two occasions and they have not reacted. I wish they would put this on their refrigerators. If panel malfunctions, its cosmetic. I asked if there was a way to reset it and there is none but unplugging it which I have tried and it does not work. It will be two months that I have been trying to fix this. I will never buy another Samsung.
Purchased over $5,000 worth of Samsung appliances for my new house - BIG mistake. 2 years in and the ice maker on the refrigerator breaks - $325 to have it fixed. Samsung offered nothing - customer service was horrible. The fan in the oven was the next to go. Again horrible customer service and Samsung offered no help. DO NOT buy Samsung Appliances!!!
Price was over $300.00 and this appears to be a very common issue at around the 18th month of usage mark per the complaints online I have read. Of course, I called the company and they state, Too bad, it is out of warranty (12 months). The company needs to look at the business they are losing over what could be a small fix. I will no longer purchase any Samsung products. I was a dedicated Samsung customer because the quality was there in the past. In this economy, you would think that a company would value the customers they have and when they see a defect like this, they should address it, not just brush it off. Samsung needs to look at Tylenol for an example of going above and beyond for its customers. So with that said, I have a $350 microwave that lasted less than 2.5 years so maybe I will just purchase a cheap microwave every year. At least, I will get a new one each year and may be more cost effective,
10 months after purchase contacted Samsung 11 months after purchase. Convection fan quit working. Oven wont reach temperature set for oven for example set for 400 but real temperature is 310. Does not cook properly due to oven problem and when it does cook it cooks unevenly. Cooked a meal and turned off oven. Came back 1/2 hour later, glass top was so hot that I could not put my hand on the glass top. I opened the oven door to cool it off and heat pour out of the oven for about 10 minutes (in pulses) and had to switch off breaker in electrical panel. Every so often when temperatures are not working properly the breaker has to be switched off and then on again to reset everything. Call center people generally dont know what they are talking to. Went through them several times then finally got a repair man to visit us. Had to run him down about 3 weeks later and he didnt remember coming to our house and the parts were not ordered.Back to Call Center, general runaround again. Had to check progress a couple of times online. Got very stupid and uninformed answers from them. Finally bugged them long enough that The Presidents Office called and said they would replace the stove. When I asked approximately how long she couldnt tell me.... 10 days or 2 weeks. Would be couriered to our home from their warehouse.....4 hours away??? 10 days later did a follow up and got an e-mail back: This e-mail is to remind you to return your Samsung NE595R0ABWW/AC/ SN: J0WG7DCC - It has been over 7 days and we still have not received the product. If you already sent your defective unit, please disregard this e-mail. Please be sure to return your set as soon as possible to the following address with the prepaid shipping label we e-mailed you.Never received the e-mail the phantom e-mail with shipping label (Why would I ship the stove out without the replacement being here). I phoned the repair station to where I was suppose to send the stove, it was 1 1/2 hours away and it would go right by one of their other stores only 40 minutes from our home. Next e-mail gave me the 1-800 number to phone again, they would help me. And the circle of denial has begun again. There is no honor here because they have not honored their contract (warranty) with the consumer.
Samsung Dishwasher Model DW80F600UTS - From Day 1, it stunk up the house unless you ran it 4 days a week. I always rinse everything before putting it into the dishwasher. It developed a leak at the seal along the floor, leaving a small puddle of soapy water on the floor. When I reported it to retailer who installed it, it was
Recently bought a home that had fairly new Samsung appliances. Not thrilled with brand to begin with. After experiencing several service calls, I will NEVER EVER BUY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES. Fridge was leaking, tech came and cleaned lines. Thought it was resolved. Then we had problems with ice maker. Did some kind of service. Didnt resolve loud banging noise. (2 service calls) Had to buy brand new ice maker... another service call. Fridge started leaking again. My research concluded that the line behind back wall needs a clip. Wall has to be totally removed and line repaired... another $189. OR we can shut down fridge overnight and it will resolve. Well, that worked... for a month. Now I have the pooling of water under the produce shelf which ultimately leaks onto floor. Do I dare call the service tech again??? What else is lurking after this problem? Way too many problems with these expensive and newer appliances! Do you know if there is a class action suit regarding these appliances, and if so... Im IN!
This is a fair admonishing to buyer to not be fooled by the aesthetic sleek look of an Samsung Refrigerator. It does not stand the test of time and does not perform to support the high purchase price and its good luck. I had this awesome looking double french door and like everyone else it Sealed Cooling System start breaking down and of course Samsung favorite response like they give everyone else, I guess by now they are professional in running people in circle, Only time will tell as other consumer will catch up. They dont realize the power of negative advertising. I have already warn dozens of people to stay away from ever purchasing a Samsung. They have an unfair business practice where you can only use their service approved vendor to fix your fridge even when you are out of warrant because no one can get their replacement part. This is not fair business practice I will would hope that the attorney general or even congress is aware of this business practice. I will NEVER NEVER NEVER use my cash for anything Samsung again, I felt betrayed by their deceptive appearance and lousy performance in failing to stand by their product and make good with their consumer. We have a right and that is where we spent our money. Fool me once, that is good enough.
Works great and QUIET! Easy to load and the controls are simple to use. Looks good (black stainless steel). Seems to be energy efficient and the time to wash a load is comparable to other brands. The price is similar to other higher end dishwashers.
Wish I read these reviews before I bought. Will never buy any Samsung product again... We purchased a dw80j3020 dishwasher in Oct 2016 and it stopped draining water in late Nov 2016. After a call to Samsung, a tech was sent to repair it. He informed us that the pump looked used and needed to be replaced. This product was purchased new and no other work was done so the defected part had to come from the factory. Samsung has refused to replace or repair the product. I have called the office of the president and still the answer I got was a resounding no... Again stay away from all Samsung products.
Bought a microwave as part of a package at Home Depot. I never write reviews but frustration with the product and service has compelled me to warn others. Bought new in August of 18. The unit worked for a short period then started to shut off while heating of foods. Called customer service and they told us to unplug and wait 5 min. That happened often until we eventually called for a service call. We had to remove it from above stove as Samsung does not do this. Said it was a liability issue. Technician came out and attempted to fix. Did not have correct parts. Came out again and still did not have the correct parts. Waiting for 3rd appointment. Will see if this fixes problem. Major inconvenience to have to wait for service tech on 3 separate occasions. Quite unfair to consumers. I recommended they send out a new one after the 2nd visit. Would have been cheaper for Samsung. Home Depot recommended Samsung as a quality brand. I will never buy another Samsung appliance. Totally bad experience all around. Had I read the reviews before buying I would have bought another brand.
We have had nothing but issues with this refrigerator. Ice buildup on the back of the inside of the refrigerator. It gets so bad it hits the fan and the refrigerator gets warm. Also there is ice buildup on the floor of the freezer. The door won’t close properly because of the buildup and my husband has to defrost it every few months. The noise from the buildup is loud. Plus it leaks onto the floor which has ruined my laminate around it. The refrigerator wasn’t inexpensive so we deal with it but we will never purchase another Samsung appliance. Would love a refund but that’s not going to happen.
We acquired our refrigerator Model #RF4287HARS in late 2010. The representatives sold my wife and I on durability and long lasting performance. Since the purchase we have had less than adequate technicians out to work on the refrigerator. The freezer just stopped working, the ice maker stayed messed up and very aggravating to press buttons to change ice cube size. It just quit working. The freezer was never repaired after parts were ordered and placed on. Over $600.00 in costs to us. The refrigerator has been a total piece of junk at a purchase price of $2310.00. We bought parts and paid repairs, and the technicians did not get the right parts, then when correct parts came in they said it would be useless to put on because the freezer was not worth repairs. We were reimbursed $195.82! Ha.After all the stress and aggravation, needless to say the ruined food we stored in freezer - a great loss. We were so sickened by the fact that we thought we made the best choice in buying a Samsung appliance, but this has proven to be a very expensive and stressful experience. And we bought a dishwasher at the same time, but replaced it in 2 years for $650.00. It did not clean and didnt last. Just thought we made a mistake and bought a cheap one. The one we bought in late 2012 is working like a charm, but it is not a Samsung product.
Bought my Samsung French Door/Bottom Freezer Refrigerators at Sears In 2012 and I have had problem after problem. After about 6 months of owning it there was ice buildup. We did buy the extended warranty so that covered the fix but a year after that the same thing happened but this time the fridge was no longer cooling at all and it had ice. Once again they came out and fixed it. I got tired of calling for repairs so I started removing the ice from the back as needed the best I could. Also the ice machine went completely out so I just bought ice trays. About 2 years ago the freezer gave out completely. I called a repair person but it was going to be over $800 to fix. It was blocked with ice on the bottom once the ice was removed. Now it doesn’t cool down at all. This fridge is a $2,000 piece of junk. NEVER AGAIN. I should have went with a cheap basic fridge.
I have literally had a broken refrigerator, Samsung 4 door, broken down since July 5th. Today is Sept 12. When it went down, it was 14 months old. Samsung scheduled service for me with a big service company, Appliance Hospital, and after 6 trips to my home never fixed it. Samsung has indicated they would replace it with a new one. That was 2 weeks ago. As of today, No update, no phone call. Ive called Samsung, texted, cannot get an update. 2.5 MONTHS! I use a small beverage fridge and a cooler for produce. I spent $2,800 on that fridge. Unbelievable. Time for an attorney? Media? What am I supposed to do. I just want a refrigerator, that works. I want good service, good communication. $2,800 should have provided that. Samsung you have failed big time.
We bought a Samsung DMT300rfs/XAA dishwasher in May 2010. Had repairs in August 2012, September 2013, March 2014 and again, the SAME repair/part replaced in August 2014. Samsung will not consider this a lemon and our additional contract will expire in May 2015, after which WE will have to pay for that SAME part every few months. Samsung did offer us a diagnostic visit by THEIR recommended service tech (they no longer use Sears Repair) at an additional coast of $99.00 to us??All but the last repair left us with no dishwasher for about 2 weeks! Now, Sears is carrying that part on their truck. We only have to wait about a week! Its good that we purchased the extra warranty, but thats almost up. Side note: We also had to replace a Samsung microwave for the same reasons, bought at the same time! We did not purchase another Samsung.
I bought a Samsung refrigerator. The ice maker in the upper part of the refrigerator died. Samsung did not help and neither did Lowe’s. Not only that, no one works on Samsung refrigerators in the state capital of Montana. Just stay away from these refrigerators and dont buy from Lowes. They just blow you off when you have a complaint.
We purchased this range NX58J770SS/AS on the first week of November 2018. That week I worked late all week and didnt use the oven. The next week went on vacation. So back Thanksgiving week, cooked the Turkey and after that may have used the oven 3 or 4 times. So on Dec 18 I decided to bake croutons, top part of oven 400 degree, with about 3 tablespoon of oil on a baking sheet. After 10 min. thought they were done, shut the oven off. Then decided to put them in again for more crunch, turned the oven on. Turned around and in seconds the smoke alarms go off, and look in the oven and blazing flames coming from oven. Turned oven off and thank God my husband had a fire extinguisher out in the garage! Smoke was bad and now white stuff everywhere. Of course called service in the morning, and told them the same story. They sent a repairman Dec 24, took pictures and video for the technician people. I didnt get an answer from them by the end of that week, so I called them to see what their answer was. Their answer was is cosmetically injured. Ask them what that meant, there was oil on the back part of the oven. I said first it was cooked off. And 3 tablespoon of oil would of not caused a blazing flames. So now I have an oven that was told not to use by the repairman, and the people we purchased the oven from. The person I talked to said that was their decision, and end of that story. First I cook for a living and never saw a brand new oven cause that type of flame!
My elderly mother bought a Samsung refrigerator, microwave and stove and they worked well for at least the first year. Since then, the handles on both the microwave and freezer door of the refrigerator have both broken off (my mother is in her 70s and not very strong) and it has cost her literally hundreds of dollars to have servicemen come and fix them because the warranty was no longer valid. She has spent more money trying to fix them than they were worth when she bought them!!! She is now having trouble with her stove, a stove which offers a divider so that one doesnt have to heat up the entire stove just a small portion of it (given that she is generally only cooking for herself). Well, guess what, the stove blew and the only way to get it to work is to remove the divider (the very reason she bought that stove) and Samsung will do nothing about it. These are products that should last AT LEAST ten years before any problems occur. Worst customer service, worst products. Worst of all, I recommended them to my elderly mother! So infuriated!
If you are thinking about buying a Samsung refrigerator dont. This is the worse product ever and I regret buying it. I purchased the product in 2013 from Lowes, they were having a sale so I purchased the refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher. I have not had any problems with the stove but the dishwasher and refrigerator is a whole new ball game. First, there are the filters (which are not cheap) you have to buy every six months to a year for the refrigerator depending on how much you use the water dispenser. Secondly, the ice maker just one day stop making ice and this has been going on for about a year as I refuse to pay almost $500 to a repairman, that the Samsung customer service (who was rude) recommended, for a new ice maker for a refrigerator that I havent had for that long. I can purchase another refrigerator for that price (I mean its only been 3 years. My GE appliances lasted 10 years before I had problems with them). We even had a local repairman come out to take a look at it and he wouldnt touch it because he said that they are too difficult to work on and he also said that he has had several calls about Samsung refrigerators for one thing or another and that only a trained Samsung repair person would be able to fix it but they want too much money. And then there is the dishwasher that seem to always feel wet on the inside even when not in use and it has a smell that I cant describe. I am so disappointed in this product. The biggest regret of my life. So I am warning you Samsung may be good in the cell phone business but their appliances SUCK!!!! I should have just stuck with GE.
Broke down less than two years old. It’s defective and company knows it. Refrigerator doesn’t keep safe temperature. Back panel freezes up and fan cannot turn. There are numerous complaints about this refrigerator all over Facebook. Costs thousands of dollars and stops working.
Same experience as others. French door refrigerator 16 months old, and we are not here 6 months of the yr. Have Home appliance warranty but took a month to get fixed, Samsung parts are backlogged over a month. Icemaker makes 4 cubes then doesn’t work. Samsung refuses to do anything, many CS representative conversations. Would never buy another.
I posted a YouTube video I made about how I fixed my Samsung Microwave plagued with the dreaded 5E (SE) error. Like many other people, my Samsung Microwave started giving me an SE error a little after a year after I bought it. When I called Samsung, they told me the warranty was up and suggested I should call an appliance repair company. I followed their advice on this site and tried to repair the microwave myself by cleaning the display pad. The fix took me about 15 minutes and seems to have worked. Two weeks later, and the microwave is still working fine. Keep your fingers crossed. Some other commentators on this site have suggested that Samsung may now fix this error if you mention all the negative comments on this and similar sites. I will give Samsung another call and see if this approach works if the microwave fails again and once again I am plagued with an SE error.
I will likely never purchase Samsung home appliances as they have been unreliable, service technicians do not recommend, and my dealings with the manufacturer have been severely delayed, unresponsive, and unhelpful. I purchased my home 3 years ago in which the investor renovated inclusive of purchasing new home appliances. In 2020 my fridge went out, within the warranty timeframe. For 4 weeks, Samsung could not get a tech to come and service my refrigerator so they decided to provide me with a refund. I was never verbally informed by the manager to keep my fridge. I sent in my documentation and was told after my fridge was hauled away that I was supposed to keep the fridge. Customer support has been horrible, for months Ive tried resolving this issue. Samsung is not honoring the refund and I am out a grand as I replaced the appliance out of my personal funds. Ill never buy Samsung and will definitely tell my networks and other real estate constituents to stay away from these home appliances.
Purchased a 4 door Samsung refrigerator (#RF25HMEDBSR/AA) in 9/03/14. It took almost 6 weeks to receive it. About 6 months after we purchased, two problems occurred. One with the flex temperature control drawer and the other was the ice maker. The ice maker started leaking every time ice was dispensed and would freeze up. We called customer service and a service man came out only to tell us that the ice maker was leaking water due to the humidity, which was totally ridiculous! A part was replaced, but in a month or so, same thing happened. A couple of months same thing. Again it was looked at (nothing was replaced), then on the fourth time, same issue.By this time warranty is out and again same issues and we were told that we would be paying for parts and labor since it was. This made absolutely no sense since it was an ongoing issue. They finally told us that we would have to pay the diagnosis fee and the labor and this time Samsung would pay for the parts. That was in March of this year, when several parts were replaced, and this afternoon the ice maker had to be warmed up with the hair dryer again for the second time, since repairs, to melt the ice AGAIN! This is not an inexpensive refrigerator, so you would expect better service and a much better product! I am not happy that we had to pay for a service charge and labor since we had been having same issue almost from the beginning of purchase! Very, very disappointed in this product!
RF267ABRS - My experience leads me to believe that Samsung refrigerators are junk. They look nice but after a few years, you will have problems. It started with the lower part of the refrigerator filling with water that iced up and leaked onto the hardwoods. I kept having to get ice and water out of the fridge, then it stopped (for now). Next, my ice maker chamber stopped cooling. Theres nothing online about how to fix this (that I could find). I called Samsung but if the fridge is not under 1 year old then they tell me they can set me up with maintenance but I have to pay for it. I had to buy a new washer and dryer and decided it was time to stop giving loyalty to a company that in my opinion, makes things to break. Stick with Samsung TVs, skip the appliance.
Samsung refrigerator ice maker freezes up and has issues with temperature. This is a manufacturers defect, a design defect, and Samsung sold the refrigerator knowing that it has recurring issues. There are several service bulletins about this and Im aware of many complaints due to this defect. We have had issues with this fridge since purchasing due to this defective design flaw.
I bought a Samsung refrigerator RS263TDR from my local Lowes store. About 18 moths later ice would collect on the back wall & water at the bottom of the fridge department. I called Samsung customer service and they advised me to go to a local certified Samsung repair shop. After the first year, Samsung customer service told me that these parts are not under warranty, repair cost $275.00. Just a few months later the ice maker was defective and water level was out of adjustment and too much water would overflow over the existing ice cubes. The ice cubes would become just one big block of ice and a sensor was dangling in the ice maker area. So we shut the ice maker off. A few months later the entire refrigerator shut down and we could not restart it again. Samsung technician told us that the main electronic motherboard is burnt and this is a major part and shall be covered for at least 5 years. In my disbelieve Samsung does not cover it after just one year. It is not worth it to repair this unit again! Parts and labor over $850. I had to replace my Samsung side by side refrigerator RS263TDR just after 3 1/2 years!!!
I purchased a Samsung dishwasher a little over a year ago from Best Buy. Within the year, the dishwasher began having issues. It would stop running and had flashing lights displayed. After terrible customer service and multiple delays, Samsung set me up with a warranty service provider who fixed the issue. Within two months, the same issue is happening. In contacting Samsung, they are advising that since its past the 1 year warranty, there is nothing they can do. Even though its the same issue they already had fixed. Additionally, they offer terrible customer service. I spoke with three different departments (most out of the country) for over an hour in total, only to get no resolution. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT - BEWARE.
The more I try to cook on this stovetop the more I am convinced that the burners don’t heat correctly. I have bought several new nonstick skillets and they seem ruined after a few times cooking in them. I am not a chef but I am not a novice either. I’ve been cooking for over 30 years and this doesn’t seem right. I usually use the right front burner and go with the medium middle setting, never on high. And then I would turn it down to low and things still get burnt. I dont even want to address your Samsung customer service because I know how they give the runaround. My microwave was defective - I saw sparks flying from the inside and turned it off. They did end up refunding the money for it but I had paid to have someone to install it above the stove so I lost $200 there. Plus I had to jump through many hoops to get a refund.
I bought a $550 Samsung Stainless Steel Dishwasher and then due to delays in the remodel and a simultaneous divorce, only got around to installing the unit just a year and a few days after my date of purchase. The unit gave an error code - bad pump, and never actually worked. Samsung customer support is the most rude, terrible support ever and there is no warranty based on install date, just on purchase date. Appliance repair said the parts cost for the pump is $350 and Im better off throwing this unit away and buying a different brand. Have the same unit in a rental and it works but really doesnt clean well at all. Dont buy Samsung appliances.
Major repairs after one year. Then a year and a half later more major repairs. $90 diagnostic fee for a 5 minute visit. $100 case brake part plus another $60 for labor. Just purchased stove and microwave to match. Will return both and buy different brands! A new appliance should last more than 2 and a half years. Very disappointed. Will never purchase anything Samsung again!
Just like everybody else in the country, the ice maker freezing up! What a waste of money, barely had it a year, and contract Samsung they dont want to hear it at all, so please dont buy this refrigerator.
Horrible. Spent thousands on the refrigerator and now I see filter light on and learn I need to spend $45 every 6 months to replace water filter. Also, microwave filter needs to be replaced every 6 months as well- only $11 for that. Why didnt the Lowes salesman tell me I would need to spend additional money every 6 months and replace these filters? Also, when I called customer service I needed to ask him to spell out what he was saying because I could not understand a word. Not sure which country I reached but it sure wasnt the US. I will not even go into the fact that I also bought a Samsung electric oven/cooktop and needed to replace the cooktop after 3 months because it cracked. Samsung products are horrible. I will never purchase another Samsung appliance again.
I have had a Samsung range on order for 2 months. I ordered it through a local distributor who cannot get delivery info from Samsung. I have called numerous times myself without any success. Horrible!
I have a Samsung Range that broke down after only 2 months. I set the self clean for 3 hours. After 2 hours, the touch screen died, and the oven door has been locked ever since. I called Samsung for repair service that evening and was told I would be contacted the following morning for a service call either that afternoon or the following day. Neither happened, so I called Samsung back and got the royal run-around of scripted answers. This time I was told the repair person would contact me within 24 business hours to set up a repair time, and that the repair people are very busy. Well that is because Samsung sells inferior products! I asked for a supervisor, and was put on hold for 20 minutes, no answer, so I finally hung up. I went on the website and entered my reference number, only to find out that I am supposedly scheduled for repair on 11/12. That is 9 days after I called for repair! No one has contacted me to confirm this yet. I emailed the service person to request a sooner day, but I do not expect to hear back from them, nor do I expect them to even show up really. If I could throw this range away I would, but it is so new and I cannot afford to replace it. I will NEVER even consider buying anything Samsung during my lifetime again. They do not care about their products or the consumers who buy them. BEWARE!
I replaced 15-year old Sears Kenmore appliances with what I believed to be top of the line Samsung appliances. Boy, did I learn a lesson. Problem number 1: the oven dead shorted a heating element. We had a service man out for the repair. He didn’t have the parts. Evidently, Samsung replacement parts are not well stocked or easy to get. We made our own repairs. Problem number 2: the refrigerator ($2700 French door, freezer below) started leaking water under the deli tray and freezing. This appliance has a service plan and the service tech was contacted. It took two weeks to get the part, which was shipped in to our house from California. He made the repairs. The problem was solved for a while.Six months later there is water in the same location. Problem number 3: microwave door handle broke off at the mount. Cheap plastic connection between metal and plastic. Then the key pad started dead shorting and shutting down the breaker. The problem only occurs when you set time and run machine. It doesn’t occur when the preset buttons are utilized. Samsung appliances all less than 2 years old all have problems. The replacement parts are scarce to find except online. All the service techs I spoke with spoke very poorly about Samsung appliances in general. I am completely done with Samsung forever. I just had to replace our 15-year old Kenmore dishwasher. I didn’t even consider Samsung even though it would match our other appliances. I am only going to buy American made appliances in the future. They may not be as high tech or fancy looking, but they work and last and you can get replacement parts. 3 Samsung appliances, 3 bad experiences, 3 strikes--you’re out.
Our Samsung side-by-side with bottom freezer has stopped working for the second time in two years. The first failure was the freezer fan, repaired under warranty. After second year, same problem - noisy fan and temperature not holding. Same repairman said the motherboards go out, and he cant get a new OEM board from Samsung - they are back ordered until 2015! We bought one from Sears, refurbished, and it doesnt work. Repair company says nothing they can do. My 15-year-old garage fridge is now back in business. It is amazing to me that a world-wide branded company like Samsung would allow this to happen. Here is my response: I wont buy any other Samsung products. I need a new smartphone - Samsung? No way.
I brought my Samsung refrigerator cash in 2014 and buy the protection plan too then I notice water was dripping from the ice maker. I called Asurion which is the company who oversee the protection plan. They did send someone out to fix it but the same thing keep happening again and again, it’s eight times I have to call them for the same thing. Right now there are mold building up in there and when I tell them there are tell me it’s my responsibility. But if it’s wasnt for the water and the sweating inside there wouldn’t be any mold. Can somebody tell me what the next step I should take. I have pictures to show what am talking about.
Updated on 05/20/2019: I have already sent a note about them. They sent a technician to fix my refrigerator and he couldn’t. He said he was not trained to repair this product. This was the fourth repair person that has been here to try and fix my refrigerator. None of them could fix it. The dates were 3/2/ 18, 3/16/18, 3/30/18, & 5/18/19. This person states he wasn’t trained to do this type of repair. I was supposed to get an email stating that the events of Sat., 5/18/19 were unsuccessful. From Samsung. No email. I called them and they wanted to send yet a fifth repair person. I feel they’re trying to run the warranty out. I asked them to replace the refrigerator. I also asked is it fraud when you attempt to sell parts to a consumer that they don’t need, in the amount of $349.18. The technician I hired said “I am glad you didn’t buy those parts because you don’t need any of them.Original Review: I have had two of these refrigerators and they both broke in a short period of time. The first one stopped cooling Christmas time, about six or seven months after purchase. I bought it from hhgregg, who was absolutely unprofessional and didn’t know their product. I finally called Samsung after hhgregg gave me the runaround for two months. Samsung said they would have replaced it because the compressor, which went bad has a 10 (ten) year warranty. Hhgregg dissolves my five (5) year warranty to replace the refrigerator. Samsung sent repair people when the second one stopped cooling last Jan. 2018 - it took until March and three different repair persons, and they tried to charge me $350.00 to fix it and it was under warranty, nor did they replace the food I lost, $80.00. I just paid a repair men and found out the part they wanted me to pay for wasn’t needed and my fridge is still under warranty.Theyve finally taken responsibility to do a repair after someone not associated with them told the truth. It’s been leaking Freon for over a year and may need to be replaced but, theyre going to try and fix it. I am so sorry I ever spent $2600 for this item. They absolutely need to go back to the assembly line, and they know it. I would advise anyone who’s looking for a refrigerator to shop for a product that’s made in the U.S.A.
We bought a Samsung dishwasher (Model # DW80K705045) in March 2017 from Lowes, after 15 years with a Bosch. Looking back now we should have done our research. We would have seen all the bad reviews. Christmas Eve the dishwasher went into failure mode. “Leak in System”. Within a few days the dishwasher worked again but 3 days later the same thing happened. It took 12 days for a repairman to come and determine the problem. We were told it would be a huge job that required a full day, the dishwasher motor would have to be rebuilt on my kitchen floor, and no guarantees that the repair would work. This repair will require my husband to take a day off from work. Fast forward to 3/20 and we still do not have the part. According to Lowe’s the part has been in for 2 weeks now and we have not been able to schedule a repair. We are unable to use a different repair company because this is the one Lowe’s contracts out to. The dishwasher can only be run with few dishes and on short cycle. We don’t know when it will go out again. Numerous calls to Lowe’s and Samsung have gone nowhere. Neither company will back up the product. Samsung will not replace the dishwasher until 2 attempts to fix it have been made. Lowes won’t offer a refund because we have to go through Warranty service for the first year of owning the product. The Warranty is through Samsung. Totally disgusted and frustrated.
I bought my Samsung 4 door refrigerator in 2014 and extremely regretting my purchase. I paid over $2,000 for a refrigerator that started to make loud noises after one year of purchase which of course was the end date of my warranty through Samsung. I had spoke to Samsung several times about the issue and nothing was done. I had Home Service Plus which I felt was not their job to fix come out seven times deeming my refrigerator unfixable. I also had a Samsung washing machine that exploded in my basement. My house is full of Samsung products and I wish I could return them all. Very disappointed customer.:-(
2500.00 wasted. Samsung would not repair/replace our 3 year old refrigerator that had compressor failure due to what they call physical damage. Micro holes in the copper lines to the compressor caused the compressor to fail. Samsung claims the sulfur in the air of our house caused the failure. The warranty is 5 years parts and labor, 10 years parts. They charged us 100.00 to diagnose the problem. We talked them down from 200.00 because we already had a repair man confirm the compressor failed. He stated that the copper lines are really thin and cheap. Samsung had to have their own people check it. We do have well water but it is treated and we never hooked up the water to the refrigerator. Samsungs recommendation to us was to coat the lines with a good paint to protect them. We did not have any issues with the Whirlpool refrigerator we had prior to this Samsung. Has anyone else had a similar problem? We think the warranty should have mentioned an exclusion for sulfur in the air and we think they should honor the warranty. We will not purchase Samsung products ever again, poor customer service.
The knobs on this stove are easily turned on if you accidentally rub up on the knob. I have done it 3 times and my son has done it a couple of times as well. The knobs are located right at the front of the stove on an angle where if you accidentally rub or bump the knobs, it turns on. I have to make sure nothing is on the stove because it will burn the house down if we leave the house and the knobs are accidentally turned on. Very dangerous stove, shame on Samsung for making such a hazardous stove!
Still waiting over a year for glass part on top of the stove. Also the oven heated so slow and inconsistency. I set it up at 350 but it heated up to 200 so its not reliable. Regarding to the glass part, the tech guy said it is only 2 made in our USA. We are waiting so long and dont know whats going on. Even though we have extended warranty on it. Any questions, contact me as Im living in parents in law home. Their name is Melvin and Shirley Harvey. TIA.
Apparently I am not the only one that has had this problem. Im entirely appalled at the prospect of my 4-year old, my 7-year old, and I drinking ice water that has plastic and metal particles and pieces in it. At this point, I am not even sure how long we have been drinking contaminated product. My refrigerator is right around 3.5 years old, so it is not under parts warranty any longer, but I am confused as to why there hasnt been a recall on these icemakers? Another consumers review fits my situation exactly besides the timeline of events. I would also like to know the composition of the materials that were being sloughed off into our drinks. I just found this problem today and Samsung Customer Service is trying to make me buy new parts and pay for installation. My main concern is for my health and the health of other consumers, and in my opinion, there needs to be a recall for these ice makers and some sort of compensation due. Not just a, Well, your warranty is up, so here pay more money for some parts that probably wont fix the issue. No thank you. I have included my own photos of the plastic shaving and plastic/metal particles.
Only one year ago we purchased Samsung microwave, oven, dishwasher, and refrigerator. I was so excited for my new stainless steel appliances. Unfortunately, for as much as we paid for them, they must be cheaply made. Our microwave and refrigerator both make so much noise. Its so irritating. We can literally hear our refrigerator all the way from our bedroom at night. Never ever again would I buy anything from Samsung. Ever.
They have a known defect in their refrigerators and Ice makers and refuse to recall them. They’ve cost people time, money, home repairs, food poisoning, etc. When you call they act like they’ve never heard of it even though repair companies have received service bulletins from Samsung. That means they know there is a big big problem but won’t change the product to prevent it.
I have had a problem with water building up in my crisper drawers and on the floor of the refrigerator. I also had a build-up of 1” ice on the floor of the freezer. I have talked to other Samsung refrigerator owners and they have had similar issues.
