I purchased a Samsung refrigerator in 2016. I have since had to manually defrost the coil and fan three times and as I am writing this, the fan is running noisily and tomorrow I will have to pull off the back panel behind the shelves and defrost it yet again with a hairdryer because this build up keeps the refrigerator from cooling. I am a disabled man living mostly on a fixed income. The refrigerator cost roughly $3000 which took me a year to pay off. I called customer service and the rep told me that he could do nothing about it. I asked to speak to his supervisor to see what recourse I had if any and was met with extreme hostility. He outright refused to resolve my issue or offer anything helpful. Samsung needs to teach its people what professional customer service looks like. I did not appreciate the condescending tone of their customer support agents. I also work for the largest home goods and building material retailer in the United States and have actively informed customers not to purchase any Samsung appliance until they improve the quality of their product and customer support. I would suggest that others provide the same service to family and friends who need to spend their hard earned money on a new appliance. Recently, we needed a new dishwasher and purchased a GE which my wife and I are very pleased with. Presently, we will never buy any Samsung product whether it be a household appliance, phone, tablet, TV or anything else. After the “convenient” freezer door handle, being only supported through plastic, broke off for the second time and after having manually defrosted the fan, coil, and heating element for the third time in two weeks, I bit the bullet and bought a new fridge. It seems you have to purchase the entire freezer drawer to fix one plastic piece. By the way, the Whirlpool I purchased has performed great with all the features of the Samsung for about 40% less cost. I have just finished writing a rather lengthy letter to the consumer protection agency documenting the numerous issues and failed CS conversations. I advise anyone thinking of doing the same be sure to document all calls (i.e. date, time, rep name, etc.). Take pictures with your phone of all visible issues including the rust spots your stainless probably has because of its apparent poor quality. I am hopeful someone may read this who can help...

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator in November 2013. In the last 6 months water is accumulating in my produce drawers. I thought a hose was not connected correctly. Sad to say that was not the case. We spent 1200.00 on this fridge and after reading that others are having the same issues something needs to be done. CLASS ACTION SUIT. (Model # RF217ACRS).

I recently had problems with a 5 year old Samsung refrigerator. To my surprise, most repairman refuse to work on Samsung appliances. In fact the first three turned me down and the forth said unfortunately he works on them. After hearing all of them tell me about how bad they are and referred to them as money pits, I decided to cut my losses. I have never run across a product so berated by people in that industry. The sad thing is everyone still pushes them instead of standing up and refusing to sell.

Our beautiful and expensive Samsung fridge has locked up several times, requiring a hard defrost. This time it actually burnt up the fan, requiring an emergency overnight purchase of a new fan. And were not sure the new fan will work - the serial numbers on our fan show that its no longer available, and Samsung doesnt have replacements. We had to go with a third party and hope their best guess is right. In the meantime our food is in coolers for two days, and the ** of it is that Im pretty sure that the best case scenario is that this fan will fit, and in a few months it will all freeze solid and lock up and burn the fan out again.Im ready to throw in the towel, but we spent a couple of grand on this (considerable for a not-wealthy family) and my husband wants to keep trying. It would be so bad but apparently this has been going for almost a decade. Im pissed off at Samsung for still putting out this shoddy product, as well as Lowes for continuing to see it. Theyll be hearing from me too.

Model M/C FTQ353IWUX/XAA Caught on fire all by itself. We heard a loud pop (like a lightbulb breaking). My wife went into the kitchen and found flames coming from behind the clock. Stove was not in use and thankfully we were home when this happened or we may of lost our home. Called Samsung and after almost 2hrs on the phone we were met with your stove is out of warranty, we will pay for the technician but we would have to pay for the parts. The stove is a total loss. Other than smoke damage to our wall and microwave above it, we are ok. No more Samsung for us.

We have an ongoing problem with ice build up under the cooling drawer. We had previously owned a Samsung refrigerator with the same issue, which was due supposedly to a too short heating element at the bottom of the coil. When we purchased our current unit, we were assured that this design problem had been resolved. It has not. I encourage the government to force Samsung to recall these units. We will never purchase another Samsung appliance.

Purchased my Samsung electric range in January of 2015. It has been a year and a half, and the Samsung silver letters located right under the panel that contains the clock, baking settings, and so forth have peeled completely off, the white circles on top of the range that denote where to place the pan/pot are fading. I also noticed that the small black circles that indicate if it is, for example, front right or front left on the range are fading and the black lines around the knobs are fading as well. I was very excited to get this new appliance, and have tried to keep the stovetop as clean as possible. I have only used recommended cleaners for this kind of range, Needless to say, I now have permanent burn spots and I cannot get rid of them. When I clean now, I have to be extremely careful. Im afraid that the fading will continue and my range that is less than two years old will look like its 10 years old. Highly disappointed and will probably not buy a Samsung range again.

I bought Samsung refrigerator last June 20, 2009 (RF267ABBP/XAA). The ice dispenser started spitting out bits of hard white plastic (some nickel and dime size) with the ice. The problem has reemerged now with 1.5 x 2 piece of hard white plastic and dime size piece of styrofoam.

Samsung smh9187st - Building a new house and having an old Emerson counter microwave, I put in the Samsung consumer report highly rated at the time in to find out the Samsung company does not even stand behind its products. For three years after installing it I did not use it since my Emerson worked fine. After the birth of my twins I started using it (16 months ago). First the door latch broke, no problem. I just fixed it. Next dreaded SE code put card board in between ribbon. Okay back in service. Yesterday while heating water for warming of twins milk, thing dies completely. Thank you Emerson at least your product is still working after more than ten years. After reading all I have on this issue Samsung products will not be bought by me ever again.

We purchased a Samsung RF263 in 2011 side by side doors with bottom freezer
We purchased a Samsung RF263 in 2011 side by side doors with bottom freezer. Within a few months various parts of the interior began to crack, annoying for such an expensive refrigerator but not fatal. The real problems began when the ice maker began to malfunction. It got so bad that we had it repaired outside of the main warranty this past May and it worked fine for about 8 or 9 weeks and started to malfunction again. After speaking with Samsung today the contracted repair company said that I would have to pay for a new repair to the unit because it was 93 days since the original (outside the 90 day window). Samsung, when I called back were no help at all and of course hid behind their policies. I explained to them and to the repair company that I didnt feel it was fair to have to pay for a repair twice, when the original repair was obviously inadequate. I would recommend never buying a Samsung refrigerator as they are not well made for the price and their customer service is designed to give as little to the consumer as possible. Also, I would advise purchasing an extended warranty on a refrigerator that you pay over $1500 for as one repair costs more than the warranty itself.

Owned a RF28HFEDTSR Samsung French Door for about 2 years and suddenly the fan in the back of the fridge started making a horrid noise as if it was broken. Opened the back panel to find that the awful design allows for ice to build up back there and clogs the fan and element. I thawed it with a hairdryer, and it was fine again. This repeats every 2 months for about a year. Fan wakes up us in the middle of the night (yeah, that loud). Take out all the food, remove all the shelves, unscrew the frozen-solid screws on the back panel, break the cheaply-made Styrofoam case, sit holding a hairdryer for 45 minutes in the middle of the night. Rinse and repeat. Absolutely maddening. Repair guys cant do anything to remedy this. Then the top icemaker started frosting over constantly and had to have a similar treatment every month or so. After a year of this nonsense, the fridge just stopped cooling altogether. Threw it on the tip.

I bought a new dishwasher model DW80R2031 in Dec 2020. I HATE this dishwasher. The prongs on the racks are angled and so close together that I cannot fit my dishes in. On the top rack my glasses do not fit in the shall rows and need to sit over one or two of the prongs. Because of that they knock against each other during the wash cycle. I am surprised that none of them have broken yet. On the bottom rack the prongs are so close together that the platters and lids to my pans do not fit unless I bend the prongs. Because all of the prongs are angled juice pitchers and pans have to just balance on top and hope they dont move during the cycle. I have to wash lots of dishes by hand because I cant fit get them to fit in the dishwasher. If I could take it back I would. I will never buy another Samsung appliance again.

Purchased a Samsung from Home Depot April 14. I call Samsung about every four months for two issues. 1- the refrigerator is growling and making monster noises and 2 - another piece of the inside broke to pieces. Another shelf, drawer etc. cracked, broke or crumbled and has to be secured with flex tape or thrown in the garbage because it is unusable. See pictures. Its completely unbelievable!Hours on the phone with Home Depot (where we bought the additional warranty) and they send us to Samsung & Samsung sends us to National Factory Service for diagnostic and at a cost to us: $85. They heard. They came. They saw. They did nothing. Just head scratches and the words: PARTS OUT OF WARRANTY. When I call Samsung these days, they try to sell me an extended warranty for $129, which doesnt cover the parts. I mean have you ever? Its such a joke! There is a class action lawsuit against Samsung ~ apparently for the icemaker + and, yes, our icemaker gives us non stop issues.

Bought this item new in September and feel good if we get 3 washes out of 10 attempts. It constantly blinks in the heavy cycle and is basically stuck there. The unit will start up like its going to wash and gets stuck in a drain cycle. Theres no water in the tub - it just runs like its trying to drain. The problem is intermittent which drives me crazy as weve had service people out and the unit worked fine. 2 days later it was back to its old self - stuck in a drain cycle. Aside from this, it does not get the dishes dry and many times the soap dispenser doesnt open - therein the dishes only get rinsed. If I could only go back - I would buy the Bosch any day over this POC.

Bought the refrigerator (Samsung Model RS2556SH) on 10/15/2004 and, except for the ice maker and the fact that its a bit noisy, it has worked well ever since it was installed. We paid almost $700.00 for this dw80f600uts dishwasher, first trouble within 6 months of installation. We contacted Samsung. We basically got the run-around until the dishwasher was out of warranty. They told us they would send a technician but we were never contacted back. We have an extremely busy schedule and I cannot afford to take a day off work so someone can look at my dishwasher. This dishwasher was one of the more expensive dishwashers when we purchased it. We were told it was extremely high quality, better than BOSCH which was in the same price range. We had a Bosch at our old home. It lasted 6 years (may still be running today?) without a problem.

I purchased a new Samsung refrigerator, RS265TDWP, on 8/20/2012 from my local Best Buy and I did not purchase the extended warranty on it. It stopped cooling the refrigerator section on 3/10/2016, 3 years and 6 months old and in less than 24 hours box went from 34* to 54* causing me to scramble to save contents and make plans for service/repairs heading into the weekend. I called the phone number inside the refrigerator which stated it was for factory guaranteed repairs or accessories and did receive prompt response from whoever they were on the East Coast. However the local repair service they told me would be contacting me in 24-72 hours on the West Coast to perform repairs had a number of not so favorable reviews when I researched them online locally. Being out of warranty and with no extended warranty I knew I would be responsible for all repair cost. After thinking about the reviews for about 5-6 hours on a Friday afternoon I went another direction. I had another repair service person working on my refrigerator by 5:30 that evening and he told me the story of the notoriously lousy Samsung Refrigerator saga regarding this problem. His comment prior to starting, frozen evaporation fan, frozen coils, etc., etc. Findings once began work, evaporation fan motor frozen stuck, evaporation coils frozen over, insulation saturated (ruined), unit needs manual defrosting, back panel unit needs replacing. Because he sees this all the time, he stocked Samsung back panel in his service vehicle, good for me I guess, at least I did not have to wait another week for parts to come. He had job completed in about an hour and repairs totaled $411.09. Buyer Beware the internet is full of similar stories regarding Samsung refrigerators and this freezing over problem. Many have been a class action lawsuit filed against Samsung for this. My suggestion, do not buy Samsung Refrigerators without doing your homework and really investigating this issue.

I have spent hours on the phone talking to the call centers it was not until today that I finally was able to speak to supervisor who is going to have a technician come out again to look at the burner that still does not work. Key points to know when working with Samsung. 1) if they come out for a ticket once and you disagree with there findings they will not speak to you. 2)Email correspondence stop after they have told you their decision. 3) they will accept no responsibility. 4) they simply do not care! We purchased dishwasher. Sent in warranty card. The left side wall of stainless steel welding came loose so the unit tray would not move in and out to put or remove dishes. This part has a lifetime warranty. I have Samsung paperwork to prove it from their website. After two factory damaged replacement parts were sent to our home which were unable to be used to replace lifetime warranties part Samsung would not send any additional parts to my home. The repair service A&E confirms this part was manufactured in 2011 and the part has a lifetime warranty. They cannot help me further until Samsung sends a good repair part to my home. Which Samsung has not done. I assume they do not have a good repair drum to sent as a replacement. After more than 10 calls to Samsung about replacement and repair part, I called to resolve this issue but consumer department would no long take my complaint or send me to executive customer service. This started in April 2016 and my last call was on June 8, 2016. They stated they cannot help me further or escalate my call to anyone that could help. I am a senior citizen and just want Samsung to send me refund $813.00 for the warrantied part they cannot or do not have to repair the unit so we can replace the unit. Beautiful on the outside JUNK on the INSIDE - Just built by 4 year olds - NO QC - if you are Lucky might run for ever BUT most are not Lucky. Bought a Samsung RF18 for my RV - got it in and running - used it two weeks and turned it off. Next year (NOW OUT OF WARRANTY) only the freezer worked. Spent 10 hours with three different service Techs to determine there was a Short in the fan wiring that could not be Fixed! Out of Warranty and Not Serviceable - Did I mention it was JUNK. Do not Buy SAMSUNG - you have been warned! Wish I was.

A beautiful piece of junk! Pot scrubbing function is terrible, likewise dishwashing function is just as good as the low end GE, meaning awful, dishes actually, always came out worse than when we put them in. Only good thing I will say about Samsung is they told us to cut the cord, send them the picture of it with cord cut, and within 30 days they sent us a check.

Again. Bought a Samsung French door refrigerator #RF263BEAESR/AA and within the first year we had to have several service calls for the ice maker freezing up and dripping down the fridge into the crisper drawer and ruining all the food also causing bad smells. The serviceman even showed us the design flaws and how to melt the ice but it was always a temporary fix as it continues to happen. We do not even try to use the ice maker at this point. We always keep a bag of ice in the bottom freezer. We are currently living out of two coolers for our daily essential foods as now the fridge is not getting cold enough and the freezer is not working. This was not a cheap purchase. I cannot believe all the problems and now having to not have use of the fridge at all. We have filed with the class action suit but right now hoping to find out that there was a recall.

My Samsung dishwasher worked perfectly until one day it simply stopped work
My Samsung dishwasher worked perfectly until one day it simply stopped working -- no lights, nothing. I called Samsung and was told if it was the control board it would be a warranty repair, but if it was the front panel it would not be. The authorized service repair company came and --without running any diagnostics -- replaced the front panel, and charged me about $300. The unit worked for a week, and then the same problem reappeared. They came back to do the work. Samsung said would be a warranty repair -- replace the control board -- but then after the work was completed, charged me $140 for the board anyway! After many contacts with Samsung, which agreed repeatedly that the control board was a warranty repair, I was never able to get the money refunded and Samsung failed to follow through with numerous promised phone calls. I would never buy another Samsung product after this experience (which is particularly a shame since Ive been a loyal Samsung customer for years -- phones, TVs, memory cards, etc.).

My 3-year old refrigerator (Samsung rsg257aars) stops making ice every 3-4 weeks. I have to empty the ice bin because ice is frozen together, then I have to run the blow dryer on the ice maker to thaw it so it will begin making ice again. There is obviously a bigger problem with this machine but I dont know what it is. I have tried for 2 years to get Samsung to fix this for the thousands of folks who purchased this lemon to no avail. Samsung is not going to stand behind this product, so I will no longer be a Samsung consumer!

I bought a Samsung Microwave when remodeling my kitchen. Just after warranty ran out, I got an SE error and the microwave quit. I called customer service and was told to unplug and replug. It didnt work, so they gave me # to get it serviced with a $240 price tag before parts! That is ridiculous. Since then, I have been researching online and found this was a problem way over 2 years before I purchased mine and not only was Samsung aware of the defect, so does Lowes. This is fraud and those cheated should be given a full refund!

I have the same model as listed here. Ice maker started acting up about 16 months after purchase. Started with freeze up and no ice production. Best Buys Geek Squad repaired it and it worked OK for about four weeks and then it turned into a slush maker. Currently Geek Squad is in route with all new parts to rebuild it again. I really feel like its going to be a lemon of a refrigerator. Apparently all the new Samsung models the ice maker is now down in the freezer compartment. Anybody know how many repairs it takes before theres just a full one recall?

Purchased a Samsung Model ME21H706MQS microwave oven and stove in October 2017. The microwave replaced a (what I thought was junk) Whirlpool microwave that was nine years old. The Samsung was higher above the stove and met all Samsung installation requirements. Thanksgiving Day comes, cooking for family and friends and the bottom of the microwave and door melts! We contacted Samsung many times, each time speaking to different people and on several occasions receiving different ticket numbers. All in all, they have a Samsung service company come to my home, but only after providing a very short notice and stating we must be home or the service will be void. Service rep comes and claims that its physical damage and is not covered by Samsung. Well hello! It melted! In short, customer service is absolutely terrible, Samsung does not stand behind their products, their follow-up via service reps is pressing and inconvenient. Terrible experience and would not recommend a Samsung product, nor will another ever enter my home.

Purchased a Samsung French door refrigerator in Dec of 2011 from Best Buy for our winter home in Florida for $1670 plus tax. I did not purchase the extended warranty. Big mistake. The refrigerator worked great for 35 months. Loved the external water and ice maker and the wide refrigerator access. Upon our return to Florida for the 2014 winter season the refrigerator freezer was fine (We keep it running year round). The next day the ice maker stopped working and we realized neither the refrigerator nor the freezer were cooling. Called Samsung immediately. The phone contact gave me the name of their authorized service company in my area but told me that they had no service call appointments available for 7 days. She suggested I call the service company directly when I shared that I couldnt wait 7 days as I had just purchased a freezer full of food. I called the service company directly and was told I could not get an earlier appointment. Called Samsung again and asked for another authorized repair service in my area (Boca Raton, FL). She informed me they had no one else in my area. I told her I would have to call another repair service to get quicker service. (This was Friday morning). She said she understood and wished me luck. Another appliance serviceman in my area finally came Friday afternoon. He diagnosed the problem as a bad main board which he related was common for Samsung refrigerators. He said that we should have purchased an extended warranty from Best Buy because it was going to cost $650 for the replacement part and $150 for labor. He also suggested that it would probably break again in 2 years. He shared that he sees this problem in many Samsung refrigerators. We declined service and he graciously did not charge us for the service call. I called Samsung again. She informed me that they now could do nothing for me as I had an unauthorized (by Samsung) appliance repairman open the back of the refrigerator. When questioned, she explained that an authorized Samsung repair service (who wouldnt even come until the following Friday) could have SOLD me a new warranty which might have discounted the labor charges on the $850 repair. Now Samsung could not help me at all.I ran over to Lowes and purchased a brand new Whirlpool French refrigerator for $1499 plus a 5 year warranty for $150 that covers everything (including parts and spoiled food) from Lowes. They delivered it the next day. I have learned that you have to purchase an extended warranty from the store for all major appliances now.

They charged us $125. Just to come out to look at it and was here for only 20 minutes. It needs 2 parts (so they say). I will never purchase another Samsung appliance. Unfortunately for me, I didnt read reviews prior to making my purchase. We bought a 4-piece appliance group at a Black Friday event at a local retailer. I hadnt had an ice maker working in my previous fridge for 5-6 years on a 21 year old product. So, needless to say, I was tickled to finally have new appliances with a working ice maker! We had the appliances delivered and hooked up around the first of the year. Within a month and a half the ice maker quit working. We put in a service call and waited. Within about week and a half the technician arrived and swapped out the entire ice maker components. Working again! Apparently, the water line didnt line up right within the unit and the overspray of water iced up the unit eventually.About a month later, same thing happened. Put in a service call, complained about our unit being a lemon and needing to be replace. Sorry sir, we have to have at least 2 service calls before we consider replacing a unit. After waiting for almost a month, technician arrives, replaces all the ice unit components again. Working again! And, the technician said Ill be coming back as he was leaving. Hummm.About 3 months later, the unit completely stopped making ice. Once again, Ive called the customer service, complaining about my unit being a lemon needing to be replaced. Here I am two weeks after that call. No ice, no calls within 24-48 hours which is how everything happens at Samsung apparently. My case was given to a validation group, and Id be getting a call from an Executive in 24-48 hours.8 days later, I get a call this morning from an Executive. She wasnt there to soothe my concerns but rather to inform me that my issue had been sent to a review board. And, they would be contacting me in 48-72 hours... Oh crap! Also during this conversation I was informed that my 1-year warranty was NOT a product warranty but rather a SERVICE warranty, and that they will likely be sending a technician out again for another service and there was NO guarantee they would be considering the replacement of my product. Despite raising my blood pressure and me speaking my disapproval, she ups her attitude, and goes rude on me and we get nowhere. Im waiting the determination of the review board.I call up my retailer, and basically get the its not our problem routine. I ask, so, what happens when my warranty runs out? Oh, sir, you can purchase an extended warranty... And there my friends is the scam. Samsungs product is crap. Samsungs customer service is horrendous, unless you like banging your head on the wall and getting nowhere... In 24-48 hours.I should not have to Google up how to unfreeze a Samsung ice maker on a brand new unit! Be careful to read your warranty, its not a replacement warranty, its a service warranty... Service their way to the 1-year expiration, and wash their hand of you. Unless of course, you spend more money and buy an extended warranty. Do yourself a huge favor. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG APPLIANCE, product is crap and customer service is horrendous at best.

I have a Samsung Model RFG297HDPN French door refrigerator. Six weeks ago the ice maker stopped working. I removed the ice maker and brought it to a repair shop. They checked the ice maker and it was working properly. I contacted Samsung and they gave me the name of an authorized Samsung repair center. The service man came out, checked the ice maker and said it was fine. He then checked the water valve going to the ice maker and said it was bad. He tried ordering just the valve, but Samsung stopped selling just the valve due to water leaking problems occurring by just changing the valve. He had to order an entire valve assembly. The service man stated Samsung had upgraded the valve assembly four times in the past 3 to 4 years, due to problems. The new valve assembly arrived yesterday after being delayed for over 4 weeks. Eighteen hours after the new valve assembly was installed the ice maker has not produced one cube of ice. Contacted the service man again this morning and he is coming out on Monday and will try installing a new ice maker. Like so many other articles I read, Samsung does not stand by their products. There are page, after page, after page of complaints regarding Samsung refrigerators. A $3,000.00 refrigerator and the company has the worse service in the industry. Im now contacting my State government consumer affairs agency, and filing a complaint. Im also contacting law firms and hopefully will find one that will file a class action suit against Samsung.

I purchased an expensive french door Samsung refrigerator with bottom freezer from Lowes. When the refrigerator was less than a year old, I noticed the freezer was frosting up. But then the problem went away only to return a couple months later but this time the whole freezer iced up. Lowes said it was out of warranty so they gave me Samsungs number. A Samsung repairman came out and blamed the problem on not closing the door properly. He defrosted the freezer and after that, the freezer stopped working completely. A second call to Samsung and the same repairman showed up. This time he said to repair it, he would have to weld and refill the freon but that would cause a lot of smoke in the kitchen and there was some risk in bringing in canisters of flammable gas, etc. He wasnt too eager to do the repair and felt the refrigerator should be replaced by Samsung. Given his track record I wasnt confident about this repair. Samsung has refused to replace the refrigerator, pay for the labor to repair it, and send a different repairman. I will never purchase another Samsung product.

Samsung Refrigerator RS2530BBP - We purchased this refrigerator from Conn’s Appliance in March 2009. About 4 months ago, we noticed that the refrigerator compartment was not cooling. We researched the problem on the internet and found a lot of people had reported the same problem with this particular model. Following the suggestions on the internet, we removed the panel in the rear of the freezer compartment and found the evaporator core was completely covered in ice. We used a hair dryer and melted the ice. This resolved the problem, but only temporarily.Within 2 weeks, the refrigerator compartment was warming up again. We, again, took the panel off in the freezer and melted the ice. One of the suggestions we found was to replace the sensor on the evaporator core so we ordered a new sensor and replaced it. This did not resolve the problem. We called 4 different appliance repair companies and none would work on a Samsung refrigerator. We have resorted to thawing out the freezer every 2 weeks to keep the refrigerator cold enough to keep our food from spoiling. At this point, we are shopping for a new refrigerator and we are NOT looking at Samsung. We have Samsung TVs in our house and Samsung cell phones and have not had any problems with them but we will never again buy a Samsung refrigerator.

Your credibility is at stake as well as your after sales service. Your supervisor didnt even deign to call us back despite our several calls. If this the way you are treating your new customers? We purchased this french-door, two-drawer, refrigerator (Model # RF23M8090SR/AA) in late August, 2017. For the first year it worked flawlessly, then... the ice maker decided to go to hell-in-a-handbasket. As was noted (and perfectly photographed by Linda of Muskogee, OK. on March 15, 2019) ours began to do EXACTLY the same thing. The ice would begin to drop out of the freezer tray, get caught in big clump and freeze before dropping into the bin thereby jamming the bin INTO the compartment for the ice maker and making it impossible to remove without potentially damaging the bin itself.Upon contacting Samsung (today; I finally lost it and set up a service call demanding they fix this POS.), it is alleged that Im still under warranty and my service call is covered. However, after seeing the various reviews for THIS VERY PROBLEM, Im NOT OPTIMISTIC that anything positive will come from the service call. Not to be deterred and, like so many others, having paid good money for my fridge, Im thinking about contacting my State Attorney General and looking into some possible legal action against Samsung. Anyone like to jump on this bandwagon with me? Ive simply had enough and will not buy another refrigerator without compensation from Samsung, first! (And, certainly NOT anything made by Samsung!)

I bought a Samsung dishwasher at Home Depot last year. It was on sale, all stainless inside and seemed like a great deal. It worked a couple of times then quit... lights flashing and stinky water remaining in the basin. Home Depot responded quickly and sent someone out twice to repair it then finally sent me an email saying it was not fixable. They gave me a full refund. But, I am stubborn and was determined to fix it. Sometimes it worked thru a full cycle and sometimes it did not. I would have to push a couple of buttons to get it to drain afterward. After months of troubleshooting it finally works for me every time. The key is a balanced load. When you put a dinner plate on one side of the rack you must put the next dinner plate on the other side. Same with the top rack. Equal weight on both sides of the carriages is the trick. It sounds like a pain in the you-know-what but it works for me and I feel like a winner! :)

I believe Samsung on purpose! made an oven that does not allow you to put foil on the bottom of the oven to catch any spills. Knowing most people do put the foil on the bottom; this is the way they get more money from the consumer because the melting foil and the damage of the coating that came off is not covered by the warranty. I had 2 service people come out 4 months after purchase for another problem and neither of them said anything about the foil that was on the bottom of the oven. Your own service people are not educated about the products they are working on. Now I have an oven I can no longer use. Its less than a 1 year old. Purchased on 4/17/19.It says in the manual page 8, (But not in Bold) that the foil could cause electric shock or catch fire. That seems pretty important but you didnt bother to make that in Bold. Because you want people to use the foil/liner and ruin their ovens. You put stupid things in bold like, use care when toughing the cooktop. Like I need to be told that! Really Samsung, you have gone backwards in developing new products. Why would you design something that not every oven user will know what not to do unless they read your user manual. What about when you sell a house. Should the new owners automatically know that your oven could cause an electric shock or catch fire because they put a liner on the bottom of the oven. It seem like your lack of care for your customers really speaks volume of what kink of people you are! You set your customers up to fail, and that makes you a big failure! The oven already does not follow the California law of not having any cancer causing materials. Wow! Samsung, thanks again for caring so much about your buyer! You had a designer who was not educated on why the foil on the bottom of the oven is so important. And probably has never used an oven. Pay attention to your buyers! Get better designers who have experience in using the product! Just because they have a college degree does not mean they know anything about what they are designing! I will make sure I let everyone I know not to buy Samsung and why!

We purchased a top of the line Samsung Dishwasher Model DW80H995OU5/AA. After less than two days of use, it would no longer complete a wash cycle and the door would not stay closed. Upon further inspection we also discover the rear panel of the cabinet was severely bent. After a call to the local dealer, he called back the next day reporting that Samsung would not let him service the machine, but only a Samsung Service Center. Samsung wanted two business days to contact the center to set the appointment. After some discussion they agreed to contact the Local Authorized Service Center (Remedy Appliance Service and Repair) while I was on the line. The Samsung Customer rep. disconnected the line without the connection. I tracked the Authorized Service Center down and offered to pay them to look at the machine. An Authorized Service Representative looked at the machine, determined it was not repairable. He took pictures and told us Samsung would call in one to two business days. They did not. I called Samsung, talking to several service representatives. My request was to remove the machine and return my money, as the machine worked less than 24 hours. The washer cost $1,600. I have now been on the phone with four customer service representatives including executive customer service. I have been told after further extensive processing, I might have my money returned in 14 to 21 days, however the process they describe is about four days, requiring further extensive time on our part. Model Number : RSG257AARS/XAA. Serial Number : B11643ADC00137X. The ice maker flap keeps banging back and forth and no one can fix it. The fridge is out of warranty. I tried to one of their authorized repair people, by the time he got to me he was no longer associated with them. He said the problem was a short in the electrical wiring and he does not fix that.I went back to Samsung. They agreed to pay for any parts and sent me to another supposedly authorized repair person. That person said I still had to pay him shipping on parts. Samsung said that was not correct and after they talked to this person Samsung said he he not have even credit to do the work and they would find someone else.Today I got a call and email stating that Samsung would no longer help me because they have no authorized repair person available to help me. Basically I was told luck lady. Dont buy any Samsung products. They have a very bad warranty and it is impossible to find an authorized repair service. Their customer service lie again and again and again.

After all the repairs and fixes Samsung suggested including a new icemaker, icemaker tray, and the suggested special silicone repair around the inside of the icemaker compartment, this week my icemaker quit working all together! I will never trust Samsung again! We have fought this issue ever since we purchased this top-of-the-line French Door Refrigerator-Freezer. What a waste of almost $2000! We started having problems within a year of our purchase. Our date of purchase is June 2, 2017. Stay away from this manufacturers French Door Refrigerator Freezer!

We bought a bottom-freezer fridge in June. It worked fine at first (although we were on vacation for 3 weeks in July and August). In August, water appeared on our floor, and was traced to a slow drip from the water dispenser. Samsung sent the problem to a local service shop, who told us to run 2-3 gallons through the dispenser to purge air from the lines. This had been done by installer; we did it and the drip persisted. The tech came to our house and reduced the water pressure. Drip persisted. NOW Samsung tells us that future service calls are our responsibility, for a new unit still on warranty!!

We purchased the Samsung OTS microwave, Model No. SMH1713S around three years ago. Last month, the fan malfunctioned and will turn on when you open the door. Just last week, the microwave stopped working at all. We (unfortunately) have a Samsung washer and dryer, which has been serviced three times and we are about ready to replace it... Its three years old. We also have a Samsung refrigerator that has been serviced once and a glass-top stove, all purchased around the same time and all with issues! I cant believe how much money we have wasted on this company. They may make good TVs but they need to get out of the appliance business!!!

Samsung. We have a ton of Samsung products throughout our home, and our children use a lot of the same. We bought a Samsung refrigerator four years ago and in our opinion its a piece of crap!!! Weve had to have it serviced a few times in the last three months, with them charging $90 to show up, $75 an hour and parts. Our ice maker quit and are French door freezer started to quit. The tech came and changed the sensor and it cost over $170.They freeze our words, the ice maker to this day has never work again, and guess what, now the stinking freezer is broken again!!! Trying to get service to respond is horrible, It took us five calls over a 10 hour period to finally get someone to respond the next day. We were told the motherboard needs to be replaced and then the tech said the signal seemed to be OK to the sensor so he really didnt need to be replaced. The sensor controls the freezer. So we decided to toss out about these hours or more of frozen food. Now we have to go out and buy another refrigerator after four years!!! Wow!!! I want to go to Home Depot to check out refrigerators have asked want to good refrigerator was in one of two that was recommended was a Samsung!!! Are you combative were going to have to spend at least $2000 for a new refrigerator it wont be a Samsung unless they offered to work something with us. We bought this refrigerator as the result of the settlement of a complaint I filed with the state Attorney General against Sears for a crappy Amana refrigerator that broke six times in five years. Siri refuses to let us buy an extended warranty Surrey: we put extended warranties on everything we own. And this is one of a dozen of the websites where we will be publishing negative feedback on our horror story with our SAMSUNG refrigerator, which is a piece of crap in our opinion.Samsung Ticket #: **. This is the third time in less than 2 years that we have had to order replacement parts for what we thought was a fantastic product. First in 13 months after purchase the left vegetable drawer had to be replaced because a piece broke off, then 6 months later one of the door bins on the right refrigerator door cracked and broke. Today I have ordered hinges for both the left and right vegetable drawers which have cracked pieces. We are 2 senior citizens and do not abuse our refrigerator or have an overabundance of food in the drawers but I will NEVER buy another one of your products. They are cheaply made and I might add quite expensive.

We purchased a Samsung Gas range in 2014. The stove cooks perfectly and we are overall very pleased with it. However whenever we do a self clean following the manual instructions to a ‘T’, the bottom ignitor fails afterwards and I can no longer bake or roast. This has happened three times and we have had to replace the bottom igniter 3 times. Fortunately we have a gas technician friend who can replace the igniter for us. It’s costs us $80 a pop but would have cost $300 each time if we’d paid for a Samsung technician. I have sent an email with product serial number, etc. and photo of burnt out igniter and had an instant reply from customer service asking for more information. The strange thing is, when I try and reply to the email or try to send another email to Samsung, the emails are immediately blocked. I ended up doing an online chat with a service technician who informed me I had to pay a $5 refundable charge with all my credit card information in order to receive a reply (answering questions they had asked me for!!!). Total run around and obviously a deliberate action by Samsung in order to avoid dealing with a known fault with this particular gas range. One disgusted Customer.

Well, I read the manual and thought I fixed the problem. OH NO THATS BECAUSE THE BACK OF THE FRIDGE HAD COMPLETELY ICED OVER! Every month I have to take it apart, after I notice my food gets spoiled, to get the ice off the coils and flush the line again! NO RECALLS ON THIS CRAP!!?? French Door RF26VABPN repeat water leakage issue - Bought this appliance 10/08 & am recently encountering the 3rd problem since purchase which, according to other reviews, makes me one of the luckier owners having had it now close to 9 years. The 1st problem was continued water leakage with ice accumulating under both crisper drawers. I ended up calling a Samsung approved repair center that came out, evaluated the problem and ended up having to order a major part with total repair cost of $450. This occurred in 2014. Then the icemaker started making clicking noises periodically a year ago & finally stopped working. Tech charged $99 to come out but told me I could buy & replace the icemaker myself, which I ended up doing - Final cost $250. As of a month ago, the same problem is occurring with water accumulating under the crisper drawers & flowing out the front. Im not ready to spend another $450 so Im shopping for another refrigerator, anything except Samsung!!! The refrigerator before this model was a Whirlpool side-by-side that worked well over 20 years problem free. Refrigerator bought at Lowes, Gainesville, FL.

Im very disappointed with the product and upset at the lack of customer service and support. I purchased a refrigerator from Home Depot (22.5 cu ft food showcase french door, in stainless model # RF23HTEDBSR) and 110 days after purchase the unit failed. The first call to Samsung Service resulted in a technician coming out 5 days later and within minutes it was determined that the compressor and evaporator coil had failed. After 12 weeks, they failed. He was unable to repair and told me parts would be in next week.I found this unacceptable, that a nearly $3,000 unit would fail after 12 weeks and I would be without use of refrigeration for several weeks while waiting for repair. I had food that spoiled but more importantly for me and my family, had no use of fridge or freezer for weeks. I called Samsung service again to ask if something could be done and was told the system was down and could they call me back. I have yet to receive that callback. The transaction number is **. The unit was a lemon, I deserve a new unit or my funds returned. The inconvenience of this episode continues to rob me of time and has insured I will do my best to avoid Samsung products in the future. The poor customer service reflects poorly on the entire company.

4 Door Refrigerator: I bought Samsungs line of appliances when I redid my kitchen the summer of 2015. Ive had the ice maker repaired 2x since then and had to pay out of my pocket since the year warranty was up. Now for the second time the compressor went. The compressor has a 5 year warranty. The first time they put Freon because they couldnt find the leak. They came again and said it is not fixable that I should be getting a new refrigerator from Samsung. Went painstaking through the process to the point I was told they are locating my model. Once they do and its on the truck theyll call with the delivery date. Didnt hear anything for a week. Called back I and was told since the refrigerator is out of warranty they are not giving me a new one. I said the compressor is not fixable and has a 5 year warranty. I was told that doesnt matter because the refrigerator warranty is up and the compressor is not fixable. So why do you claim a 5 year warranty on compressor. If you cant fix or replace the compressor its my problem??? BTW the compressor is in a location they cannot reach, so they say. $3000 for a refrigerator that has had issues after 18 months. I asked to speak to a supervisor w/ 3 different calls. Finally got one, Ricky, and he swore hed get back to me in 3 hour. That was a week ago. The customer service is HORRIBLE. Theyve hung up on me 3x and never called back. And each call since 6/29/18 is an hour. You need to go through the whole story. After telling me I was getting a new refrigerator and waiting a week to find out, no, no refrigerator not one person from Samsung called to tell me they changed their minds. I am now going to get a lawyer.

Bought a microwave as part of a package at Home Depot. I never write reviews but frustration with the product and service has compelled me to warn others. Bought new in August of 18. The unit worked for a short period then started to shut off while heating of foods. Called customer service and they told us to unplug and wait 5 min. That happened often until we eventually called for a service call. We had to remove it from above stove as Samsung does not do this. Said it was a liability issue. Technician came out and attempted to fix. Did not have correct parts. Came out again and still did not have the correct parts. Waiting for 3rd appointment. Will see if this fixes problem. Major inconvenience to have to wait for service tech on 3 separate occasions. Quite unfair to consumers. I recommended they send out a new one after the 2nd visit. Would have been cheaper for Samsung. Home Depot recommended Samsung as a quality brand. I will never buy another Samsung appliance. Totally bad experience all around. Had I read the reviews before buying I would have bought another brand.

We bought a new Samsung convection microwave, Model MC17J8000CS, and a Samsung refrigerator, Model RF4287HARS/XAA, which was delivered Sept. 14, 2016. Microwave - Suddenly stopped in middle of heating vegetables 13 months after purchase (last night). Great! Refrigerator - Frequently, the middle drawer gets hung up and won’t close without a few tries. Just don’t open it too far and keep trying. You’ll get it; well, I always have. If you change from CRUSHED ice to CUBED ice, be ready for NO ice to drop into your glass. Open the door and you get your ice. Yes, it’s all over your feet and the floor but at least you know where it is. On the positive side, I think they’re attractive appliances. My husband thinks they spot too easily but I’m ok with that. In all fairness, he is the one who cleans them.

I purchased a New Samsung RS261 refrigerator and just out of warranty, the ice maker broke. I am pretty good at repairs and research so after two days with online Samsung support, they recommended to call for service. I could not find anything online to help myself take care of the problem, so I called a local company that I have used in the past. I could not use this company because you have to be a special Samsung repair service, which Samsung only gave me two companies to choose from. They sent out the email service request, which after days, I had no response so I called. I called on a Thursday to that company and received a message that they were closed for the next 5 days for Labor Day. I have never heard of a company that is service-orientated close that many days. I then called the second company, which came out the following Thursday. I had given the information for what was wrong and they brought out the wrong part and needed to order the new one. Two weeks later, they came out and fixed the problem with a total work time of 20 minutes combined for both stops and $230.00 later, which was a good portion for what I paid for the fridge. After I called Samsung and complained about the first company, they referred me to the second. I still received a call three weeks after the incident that a tech from the first company was at my door to look at the refrigerator. What? Needless to say, I will not purchase another Samsung knowing that I dont have a choice to go with a service center of my choosing. My opinion: choose a product that can be serviced by any appliance center of your choosing.

I started having odor issues with this dishwasher (Model DW80F600) not even a month after purchasing it on 5/25/14. Ive had 6 techs out to look at it and they recommend things like changing the detergent, running the hot water, using Jet Dry, etc. to re-plumbing through the garbage disposal. Ive complied with all of their suggestions. No parts were ever replaced on the unit and the one part that the 6th tech is saying should be replaced Samsung is stating that its a customer maintenance issue and claiming that Ive never cleaned the dishwasher and damaged it. To make a really long story short - its now 5/6/15 and Im being denied service on it because its in Samsungs system that Ive damaged it and its a customer maintenance issue. Never mind the fact that its been an ongoing issue for nearly a year.Ive provided Samsung with the bill of sale, all the receipts of service with tech notes on them, etc. The service notes that I received from Lowes were different than the physical receipts that I have. The techs are claiming to have replaced two parts on the unit & also making statements that are untrue - like Ive never cleaned it. I bought Dishwasher Magic on 12/24/14, which is in both my receipts & the notes I received from Lowes (who handled my first 5 service calls). Every time I talked to a Samsung rep its another story all with the same ending - they cant/wont help me.I received the technician notes (from Lowes) from the service requests that I starting in July 2014. I have attached those notes, along with the service receipts as well as a scanned image of the seal sump part & packing that it came in. This SHOULD be proof that either the technicians or someone at Samsung is LYING about what they have done to service our dishwasher. This is all due to a foul odor that has been going on beginning less than two months after purchase. I would like for Samsung to replace the bottom door gasket under warranty, replace the dishwasher (if its not fixable), OR at the very least authorize another service technician to come out, preferably a manager, to assess the dishwasher AGAIN under warranty. Samsung is claiming that Ive damaged my dishwasher & never cleaned it and therefore are unwilling to replace the bottom door gasket or allow for another service tech to come inspect our dishwasher. Here are the things that Id like to point out. The service appointment from Brand Source states that they put in parts. Id like to know what part they are claiming to have ordered and installed and ask how, since this is our first service, did they know to order that part and have it ready for installation? This is a complete lie - no part(s) were purchased or replaced on the dishwasher. I was told that we should re-plumb through the garbage disposal, try Jet Dry, and run it every couple days. Both of those suggestions were taken. We also ran the dishwasher empty with a cup of vinegar. Those suggestions and CLEANING from July (not 2 months into owning it) didnt work so we placed another service call. The initial tech from A&E came and decided that the tub/sump gasket needed to be replaced so he ordered the part. I have attached (Seal Sump) which is an actual scan of the packaging which was shipped 12/18/14 as well as the scanned image of the seal sump (product #DD62-00050A) still in the bag which I STILL have because it was never replaced as the tech notes are claiming to have replaced on 12/24/14 when in all actuality that tech (who was a different one than the one that ordered the part) said the gasket wasnt bad and that I should try Dishwasher Magic. I bought Dishwasher Magic and the tech put it in and ran started the dishwasher - therefore this was the second cleaning. It was recommended to us to try pod style detergent vs. liquid and to run the hot water in the sink, make sure its good-n-hot, then start the dishwasher. Both of those suggestions were taken and it still hasnt solved the issue. The last service on 4/8/14 performed by One Stop Appliance is completely off base. The tech notes (attached) stated that we need the bottom door gasket replaced and that he would get in touch with Samsung to order the part. I received a phone call from ** on 4/9/14 letting me know that Samsung wont authorize replacement of the part claiming its a customer maintenance issue. The tech notes indicate that I called Samsung and use the words food build up. How can the tech notes reflect something that hasnt even happened yet - my calling didnt occur until 4/9 - service was performed on 4/8. They also state that this is an issue due to never cleaning. Given that Ive provided at least 2 examples, one with a receipt, of times that Ive cleaned the dishwasher - this is just a false statement. In calling Samsung to try to get this issue resolved this has escalated from we have food particles in the dishwasher to we have damaged the dishwasher. The Samsung user manual states: CLEANING THE INTERIOR. Clean the interior of your dishwasher periodically to remove any dirt or food particles. Wipe the inside of the dishwasher and the inner part of the door with a wet dishcloth. We recommend filling the detergent dispenser with dish detergent, and then running the dishwasher empty periodically using either the Normal or Quick cycle with the sanitize option. This will keep your dishwasher clean. If white spots and odor are still present in your dishwasher, run the Normal cycle with the dishwasher empty and without detergent until it ushes. Then, interrupt the cycle and put an 8 ounce cup of white vinegar into the lower basket. Close the dishwasher and let the cycle finish. Do not remove the tub front seal (the long rubber seal enclosing the opening of the dishwasher).I HAVE performed periodic cleanings of the dishwasher and it still has a foul odor. I also rinse ALL my dishes before putting them in the dishwasher, and I wipe down excess water that gets on the door before closing it. This odor can begin within 24 hours of running a cleaning cycle. How is that a customer maintenance issue? Also, some of the phone reps have told me that notes indicate that there are food particles left in the dishwasher. If this is true then why? Shouldnt the dishwasher be rinsing, cleaning, and drying the dishes and therefore the tub? A particle is: From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: A particle is a minute fragment or quantity of matter. [1] In the physical sciences, the word is used to describe a small localized object to which can be ascribed several physical or chemical properties such as volume or mass; subatomic particles such as protons or neutrons; and other elementary particles. [2] The word is rather general in meaning, and is refined as needed by various scientific fields. Something that is composed of particles may be referred to as being particulate. [3] However, the term particulate is most frequently used to refer to pollutants in the Earths atmosphere, which are a suspension of unconnected particles, rather than a connected particle aggregation.IF I have food particles in the dishwasher how is a minute fragment causing such an odor that I have been calling for service on the dishwasher since 7/18/14? In addition if this were a customer maintenance issue then why has it been an issue since a month after the purchase date? And in performing all the technician suggestions it still hasnt resolved the issue? I have filed with the BBB and here is their second response after I contested their first response. Still clearly not paying attention to the facts and still not willing to help. Heres Samsungs official response: Ms. **, Thank you for providing the additional information regarding your claim. Samsungs product team has evaluated all new and existing documentation available on your claim. The warranty coverage remains unchanged. Although Samsung cannot pinpoint the cause, a few examples for the odor are: infrequent cleanings, excessive food residue, the drain hose is connect to the garbage disposer, from which food can get backup into the drain hose. What would not be contributing to the odor is mechanical or part failure and the Limited Warranty only covers product malfunction or defect. There is no such evidence.I understand there were was added concerns about the part that was order but not installed. This was noted but this part nor changing it would address the symptom. With our apologizes, warranty will not be covering the cost of any further repair requests to address the odor symptom. Thank you.

Problems from the start and are with both ovens either separate or together
Problems from the start and are with both ovens either separate or together in convection. After 4 visits and some part changes, there is no change. I did a few extensive digital and analog temperature tests to document that: 1) The initial at temperature beep is usually close but then over time, the temp drifts down to over 100 degrees F below where it should be. 2) When I restart the oven because its too cool, the oven display confirms the low temperature I measured. 3) As the oven restart, the convection fan or fans blow such hot air the food in the middle of the oven that the food is burnt to black while food not in the center or on different racks is not burnt. 4) The restart temperature once the beep sounds is accurate. 5) The convection fans are always blowing the hottest air straight out the middle. Not circulating the air around or reversing fan direction once and a while. So a blowtorch on food in the middle of the oven. From reading web forums, cnet in particular, seems like all of these Samsung ovens do pretty much the same thing. Seems like a programming problem in the firmware. Resolution is under review by Samsung. But do I even want another fix or a replacement? No. I want a refund and Ill buy a different brand.

My husband has been buying Samsung product for 20 years and since building our new home of course all of everything has to be Samsung...well either theyre under new management or they are getting too comfortable with their name, because we have had bad experience with the oven the 1st year. The door got stuck self cleaning and burned out the display panel and still cant see the numbers on it even after getting it fixed parts in all service paid $400. Microwave numbers seems to jam sometimes but still work. The Samsung vacuum cleaner has no adjustment, very hard to push and now 4 year later within the 5 year of our new home the refrigerator bottom freezer does not work.We YouTube fix it yourself and nothing has worked...top work but bottom doesnt and not to mention the dishwasher top rack will fall on one side off the track. We paid cash from Best Buy for all of our Samsung appliances and I am very disappointed and wait a minute our 50 tv all of a sudden had gotten a green line to appear in the left hand corner. Dont know how that happened...we are 50 year old. No kids to cause any of this damage nor do we have pets. We are very clean people and dont want to have to replace all these but looks like soon its gonna happen so this is our past experience with Samsung products

POTENTIAL SAFETY HAZARD: Samsung dw80f600uts Dishwasher - This has been the worst appliance experience ever. Dishwasher worked fine for about the first 18 months. Then, on occasion, it would give an error code (Smart Auto and Heavy would flash). If we stopped and restarted it, it would usually run through the cycle. We are a family of only 2 adults, so we are not hard on it, nor do we run it more than 1 to 2 times per week due to handwashing some dishes (as the dishwasher cycle is VERY LONG... like 3 hours)! This morning the dishwasher stopped and gave error message, I tried to stop and restart. No luck. Then, while I had the door open, it started on its own!! (ID CALL THIS A SAFETY HAZARD). With all the complaints about this unit, I would think that Samsung would do a recall, or an optional recall, so at least those with issues can get unit corrected on Samsungs dime. We are choosing not to pay to have it fixed, as the reviews show that most have had to have fixed multiple times. Would rather buy a different brand than invest more in this faulty model.

In reading recent posts, I realized that I am not alone in my dissatisfaction and anger over my relatively new Samsung refrigerator. First, upon purchase, it took over three months for delivery, despite the fact that I was told it was in stock at the time. After a year and a half, the ice maker broke. Then it started to warm up and then it sounded as if it was ready to explode. Repair service after repair service was called. Its been three months and Samsung is not delivering, not making part to repair. This has been the worst purchase I have ever made. Buyer beware, proceed with caution!

While baking Christmas cookies a buzz, pop, smoke, then fire broke out of the top rear behind the clock and program panel. Put it out with a fire extinguisher. Scorched the wall behind stove. The circuit board and connectors burned up. Luckily we were close by. Stove is completely inoperative and only four years old. Second Samsung appliance that failed in just a few years and had to be replaced. Fridge had to be replaced due to continued failure and expensive repair. I will never purchase Samsung products. Dangerous and fire hazards when it comes to electrical parts.

Will never buy a product made by Samsung ever again. Purchased a fridge 4 years ago and had problems 2 months outside the warranty period. Called Samsung customer service. Was told that we would have to bear the cost ourselves. They will notify the technician and he will call us the same day. 3 days later no contact. Spoke with Samsung again... useless. Fan iced up and fridge stopped being cooled so all food went bad. The technician (we found ourselves) that serviced it said it was a design flaw and he had seen a lot of these problems in Samsung fridges. Samsung have no idea of customer service. Today our fridge finally died - both fridge and freezer too warm. Went out today and had to buy another fridge/freezer..... WILL NEVER RECOMMEND OR EVER BUY SAMSUNG PRODUCTS AGAIN.

Model RF266AEPN, french door model. Purchased spring 2011. At four years old had to be serviced for the ice dam at the back of the refrigerator causing the fan attached to the evaporator to be compromised and sound as if the refrigerator was about to blow up. The repairman warned me that this was a common problem with Samsung and tried to sell me an extended warranty. I declined. Unfortunately I should have listened because six months later its the same old problem. Today after viewing loads of YouTube videos and reading the commentary I have no doubt this is a widespread problem with every type of Samsung refrigerator including side by side and bottom mount. The suspected causes for the malfunction range from the temperature sensor, to the heating tube around the evaporator coil, to clogged drain, to bad relay switches in the computer module, to poor software. Knowledgeable people seem to fix the problem only to have it occur again. Also made the mistake of buying a Samsung above the stove microwave that makes enough noise that I wonder if it too will blow up on me.

Terrible quality. Why? Poor construction, handle breaks easily, uneven, low powered heating, turntable malfunction. Bought it to match a Samsung stove. First mistake. As usual, Samsung has all the technologies but refuses to manufacture quality products that perform as good as they look i.e. all Samsung cell phones, the Ceran-top convection oven. Stay away from this brand. LG is much better in most instances.

My sister and I both bought this refrigerator for our new construction home in December 2015. Luckily hers hasnt done this. But 16 months later mine started making this loud noise coming from the upper back part of fridge. Its so loud. I Googled and found numerous people are having same problem. Ive tried the blow dryer. Didnt work. Tried defrosting only to return 1 week later. I sure dont want to start taking apart, nor should I have to. This fridge is heavy. Our washers were both recalled, in which only partial cost reimbursed. Now I am frustrated because feel no one should have issues with any product, especially after only 16 months. What am I suppose to do now. I thought Samsung would be a super brand. Now I hate it. What is being done about this company selling crap products. Ill go American from now on.

My refrigerator is 4 yrs old and I will never buy another Samsung. It is a documented problem with the overflow valve in the ice maker but they will not do anything about it, I can replace it for $950. No thank you! The fans in the back panel froze up due to the ice maker problem and I had to have a repairman replace them to the tune of $400. They may have fixed the newer models but where is the customer service for previous customers? An allowance or some type of prorated cost adjustment should be made!

Dishwasher Model# DW80F600UTS/A. S/N B00AG9MD914188D. 4th repair ticket # **. We purchased a complete kitchen suite from Home Depot In Canton Ohio on 11/20/2013. They were delivered on black Friday and in the 13 months of owning this pile of appliance chunk I have lost 6 days of work, almost 8. Those lost wages could have gone to the purchase of a new dishwasher, not to mention dealing with the inabilities of Samsung Customer Service that couldnt seem to remember me and the same error 4 times (flashing delicate light). Of course they replace the parts, chasing an error that isnt in their manual because its an error that proves this unit is a lemon and they know it but they string you along telling you to unplug the unit for a couple of minutes and then plugging it in. Now I used to be a tech manager for a computer chain and that is the trick to reset the computer board inside the computer. Yes this dishwasher has some sort of motherboard if you will that needed replace on day 1 with all the other parts that were changed on this pile after this was built. In other words some people may have all the upgraded parts to the same model and are not having any issues, for the rest of us, were stuck paying for the recall. I have a complete Kitchen full of this Samsung junk, hell the phone Im using to type this review is a Samsung, which I thought was quality and comparable to an I phone. I will no longer support Samsung in anything they do. I will replace each and every piece of Samsung garbage I own and I will devote my energy into providing consumers with the reality of what Samsung is. They are a corporation that spit shines items to provide the illusion of quality, something that YUGO never did. People bought the car because it was cheap, same as Chrysler did with the K car. Consumers bought knowing that they werent paying for the name but for the car. Samsung has decided to have you pay for name because people recognize the name from cell phones and tvs. Trust me when I say this. They should not be in the appliance business, people should stick with the products their ancestors bought. Maytag, Amana, Frigidaire, and even Kenmore. I apologize to my late grandparents for purchasing this junk in the first place.Oh, and to you Samsung! You have lost another customer for life with your poor customer service and inability to relate to the consumer. By the way, your call centers need some help. Just another smoke screen for everyone to navigate. Good bye.
