The best thing you can do is stay away from any Samsung Refrigerator. I did my research and Samsung was one of the top brands - big mistake. They have several problems that seem to be across all their refrigerator models. Ice makers leak or freeze up, motherboards go bad, valves malfunction, the list goes on. It wasnt until I started having all these problems - after 5 years - and I googled them to find out these problems are very common. I now have a 5 yr. old refrigerator that I paid $2500.00 for and is in need of over $1,200.00 of repairs. Samsung will not help. They say get the repairs done - and you have to use their service department - and then they will see if they can help. No, not going to do it. Buying a different brand and will never buy a Samsung again. Fair warning.

We will NEVER buy Samsung again! We purchased a Samsung refrigerator (RF261BEAEWW) in December 2016 and the unit stopped working in April 2018. Samsung initially informed us that the refrigerator was not repairable and asked for us to submit our receipt for replacement or refund. After submitting our receipt we were then informed Samsung needed more pictures of the refrigerator. They told us that the damage was corroded lines due to sulfur in the air. We have never had a problem with sulfur in our home. They said this is an environmental issue and not covered under warranty. The repair company even said that it is unusual to see this corrosion so soon and in our direct area. The lines on the refrigerator should have never corroded that bad in 15 months. We have never had a problem with corrosion on things we have had for years. Even with this information Samsung said they are standing by their claim and will do nothing to help us. We now have a 15 month old piece of junk Samsung refrigerator.

RF25HM FREEZER DOES NOT FREEZE! We purchased a Samsung in July 2015. In March of this year the drawer freezer stopped working, as did the ice maker. Set up an appointment for them to come out to diagnose the problem. The service tech was here yesterday and did an excellent job of troubleshooting the problem. He thought it would be a simple part replacement (circuit board). As it turned out, it was a sealed unit problem and it would be very expensive. The refrigerator still cools, just not the freezer. He explained that the freezer and refer share the same compressor, the part that operates the freezer was clogged or not functioning properly. I assume there is a valve of sorts that changes from refer to freezer when necessary. In essence, I am saying that Samsung is junk. DO NOT BUY! They should stick to cell phones and tablets. We have a Samsung Smart TV that we wish we hadnt purchased too! The frustrating part is that it was just over the warranty period. I am certain that I am not alone in this, when you pay over $2000 for a refrigerator it should last longer than just under 4 years!

Samsung’s refrigerators are nothing but disappointment. Their refrigerators are not cheap, so you would think you get what you pay for... but you’re paying for a fridge that doesn’t cool the food and when it is it is never the posted temperature. This fridge will not only cost you thousands to purchase, but then thousands in lost food due to spoilage and hundreds if not thousands in repairs. Samsung’s warranty and customer service are jokes, and neither can help in rectifying their wrongdoings! They have been selling the same faulty design in all their refrigerators since 2006 despite the class action suit against them for their faulty design. They will tell you it’s a rare issue... it is not. There is a service bulletin out about it. They’re aware. They just don’t care. Last week my Samsung “fridge” caused mold in my toddlers cup due to improper cooling, this is how I discovered (for the 3rd time) it stopped cooling once again... despite it reading a temperature of 38*... not cooling while displaying a temp that indicates it is, is causing unsafe food temps that have made people sick! They don’t care. There is a reason there is an FB group of over 25,000 asking for a recall on all Samsung refrigerators. If you make it through the warranty period without issues, rest assured your product will break in 1 months time. Don’t buy Samsung. It is nothing but pretty TRASH!

We purchased a beautiful French door with a cooler drawer fridge in Jan of 2019 from Best Buy. I absolutely loved it. Feb. 19, 2019 (1 month later) we woke up to our kitchen, dining room, living room and entryway flooded. We had Best Buy come out (Geek Squad) to evaluate it and were told it was a defective part behind the removable filter. We had to have our entire kitchen, built in dining room and living room built ins removed. The walls were all removed 2 feet up from the floor and all tile removed. Our insurance co. paid $170,00 to replace and house us. We were displace for 10 months. Samsung now is fighting with our insurance company and refuses to take responsibility. This company is awful.

Bought a $1800.00 Samsung range (NX58H900WS) 1.5 years ago. Within the first year I tried to use the self-clean function and the electronics blanked out - Unusable stove. They sent a repairman who fixed it. Just tried to use the self-clean again and the same thing happened. Looked online and this seems to be a common problem - but there is no recall. They only will stand behind the fix for 90 days. I am totally out of luck - customer service useless. Stove useless. Literally the worst product I have ever bought. Will NEVER purchase a Samsung product again. A company that does not stand behind its products and fix design flaws is not a good company to deal with.

The fridge never really worked well to begin with. It kept freezing the eggs and just about everything else. The ice maker stopped working within months. Microwave and dishwasher stopped working next. Every time we called Samsung maintenance to come and fix everything, it would get fixed temporarily and we would have to call again. When we called again, they would have an excuse as to why it won’t work. We did this about 4-5 times. They wouldn’t even get us a new appliance because at this point we have gone over a year without a microwave and dishwasher. Maintenance is terrible, appliances are terrible. We do not recommend this at all.

We bought a Samsung RT72SBSM about 2 years ago and it just stopped cooling one day. After checking, the compressor is found busted and they would charge me USD150 for labor and for fixing the gas, which are not under warranty. When I queried Samsung about why their fridge died only after 2 years, instead of apologizing, the Samsung person retorted, we dont know the lifetime of our fridges. They should know. Its their product. They should have some sort of indication that this is a faulty fridge and they are doing what they can to rectify it. Saying they dont know simply takes them away from being accountable to make good products. Samsung is a horrible horrible brand, with absolutely, incredibly lousy customer service. Avoid all Samsung products at all cost, please!

We purchased our Samsung Microwave (SMH1816S) for our kitchen remodel and had it installed in April 2014. The microwave died on 3/30/15, getting the dreaded error code of 5E. We called Samsung (800-726-7864) on 3/30/15. Having read these reviews, we were prepared for the worst, and that is exactly what we got. DENIAL, DENIAL, DENIAL. We were told our warranty no longer existed. Even worse, they told us our Model number and Serial number didnt even come up! They consistently told me they could give me the number of their service center, but that we would have to pay for the repairs. I argued for 45 minutes with ** explaining to her that we would in NO way pay for the repair of a defective product… something that Samsung is FULLY aware, yet continues to deny. She then said she would have the Tech. Dept. call me the next day. No one got back with me so I called back on 4/2/15 and spoke with ** which got me nowhere, so demanded to speak with a Supervisor. I then spoke with ** of Executive Customer Relations. He, again, tried to deny that Samsung has a serious problem with their microwaves. I cited the over 300 complaints on Consumer Affairs. After 45 minutes of arguing, he finally relented and said they would send a repair tech out at no cost but that the only part they would cover would be the control panel as this is the part that seemed to be the cause of our complaint based upon our error code. Today, 4/10/15, the repairman came out and replaced the control panel. And, not surprisingly, the microwave is still dead! He claimed it must be the main board that needs replacing as the new control panel did not solve the problem. As he only brought a new control panel, he said he would send in our repair results and that someone would contact me. I asked him what a new main board would run and he said he had no idea what the cost of parts ran as only the Joplin, MO. office would know.At this point, I am totally disgusted with Samsung. Seems to me that if it is not the control panel, then it is something else. Bottom line is these microwaves are crap and whats more frustrating is that Samsung is fully aware of it, yet will not take appropriate action… such as recall them. All I know is that when I am contacted, I am ready to fight once again for this worthless item to be fixed BY Samsung at no cost to us. We have not even used this microwave for 1 year and for it to die on us, is absurd! Would love to hear about anyone elses similar experience with failure of the main board. I can only reiterate what everyone else seems to feel… why has a Class Action Lawsuit not been put in action? I know this is a long standing complaint and is extremely common. Is there not an attorney in the house who has experienced this problem with Samsung Microwaves? I will be the first to sign the petition if the challenge is created. I will write more about our travails once Samsung calls me. And if they fail to do so, I will be calling them! NO ONE SHOULD PUT UP WITH SAMSUNGS DENIAL FOR REPAIR! If you dont get what you want, fight for what is right! It has worked for me thus far. They simply cannot keep denying these claims.Updated on May 5, 2015: This is a continuation of a previous review published 4/10/15. It is vital that every Samsung consumer read this tip. We went through the same agony as everyone in dealing with Samsung and their refusal to acknowledge or assist in the repair of these defective microwaves. We spent hours on the phone with several Samsung employees.. most in the management dept. Each phone call got us the usual response... we can provide you with the number of a service repair company but the cost is up to you. Just so you understand, I do not put up with lies nor do I put up with injustices. I do not let them go. It was not until after I finally demanded to speak with someone in their LEGAL DEPARTMENT that I got any satisfactory response. I was told that the only thing they could give me was the email address for their legal dept. So, I wrote the Legal Dept.. ** on 4/16/15. I expressed my disgust with Samsung and urged them to read the reviews on ConsumerAffairs.com. I pointed out to them that they were completely unethical in their handling of the hundreds (actually probably thousands if you take into account those who just did not write a review on ConsumerAffairs) of complaints as to the dreaded defective microwaves. I warned them that a Class Action Lawsuit seemed to be encouraged by most. On 4/17/15, I received an email from the Legal Dept. (I will not give the name as it seems the names are bleeped out). The email approved the cost of repair for our microwave. We, too, had the common 5E/SE error code. The technician came out on 4/21/15 to make the repair. Turns out we had to have the motherboard replaced (having already replaced the control panel) before the oven worked properly. We do not feel the headaches are over. It seems as if many of these issues arise again after a few months of use. We will not be surprised when/if this happens again. Bottom line, these microwaves need to be recalled or a Class Action Lawsuit should prevail. Samsung is only putting a temporary fix on these defects. Since the Legal Dept. acted as if my complaint was new to them, I can only encourage everyone to write the Legal Dept. of Samsung to voice their complaint and to get appropriate action. Hopefully this helps all of you who are getting nowhere with Samsung.

I purchased a refrigerator for my daughters first home. A little pricey, but due to the Samsung name, I made the investment. 2 weeks after it was received, it was no longer cooling or freezing. There was over $300 in groceries that went to waste, and it took us 3 days just to get someone on the phone to schedule a service call. When someone came out to service, they said there is a new cooling system in the refrigerator and no one at their company is trained to fix it. After contacting Samsung again, they stated there is, in fact, no one in the entire geographic area who can fix it. After 2 hours on hold, they agreed to exchange, which they state is a process, and that process will take up to 5 business days. Then, we have to wait on shipment and set up. So, they have nearly $2000 for a refrigerator that has sat idle more than it has worked, and we are out an additional $300 in food. When I asked for a more immediate resolution- like a refund- I was told they could not resolve the issue today due to their process. I requested to speak with someone who COULD resolve my issue today and waited on hold another 1/2 hour. I was told the manager would call me back within 24 hours. I doubt it.... Moving on to the AG and BBB.

I brought the Samsung french door refrigerator in 2016. Not even a year later, the ice maker froze up and started making noises. Lowes came and fix it and told us that its not going to have any more problems. Unfortunately, it had the same problem five more times in three years. When I call Lowes to complain, the supervisor was so rude and told me to buy bags of ice to solve my problem. I paid more than $3,000 for this refrigerator and I am really frustrated that this issue has not been recalled. I will never buy another Samsung product again and I am still dealing with this.

This microwave (model SMH1816S) started by itself yesterday, and the entire unit was too hot to touch within 2-3 minutes. I pressed every on/off button, plus all the other buttons, and nothing turned it off. Since this is an over-the-range unit, the only way I could stop it was to turn off the circuit breaker. Im positive this would have started a fire in my kitchen, which could have burned down my entire 8-unit condo building. Fortunately I was at home. I called Samsung repair this morning, but since the machine is out of warranty, the only thing they will do is send an authorized repair representative - at my expense. The machine is six years old, so Im not going to pay for even a service call. My old microwave was more than ten years old and still worked when I bought what I thought was a good microwave. Never again will I buy a Samsung appliance.

It was the worst decision I have ever made. In the summer I have to buy ice because it does make enough. The handle on the freezer broke and to fix it, it would cost 600$ because they would have to replace the entire door. Then the cheap plastic pull out drawers cracked. Now the freezer has stopped working. I will probably end up having to buy another new refrigerator.

The machine comes on and then you can hear the water going to the washer and then you hear it pumping out. Then the lights come on indicating low water level. According to the owner manual the first it happen it was still in warranty. The repairman came out and replaces a sensor box on the side of the washer. The second time it happen about a year later my husband took the sensor box off and replaced it. It wasnt under warranty. We cant afford to call the repairman. The last time I took everything from the washer and ran a couple cups of vinegar through a cycle and it has worked fine until this time I tried to run the washer again with vinegar but it didnt work. I will never get another Samsung appliance again. We also have a refrigerator that has some problems but thank the Good Lord it still works. The model # for the dishwasher is DMT 400RHSAAX. They dont realize the power of negative advertising. I have already warn dozens of people to stay away from ever purchasing a Samsung. They have an unfair business practice where you can only use their service approved vendor to fix your fridge even when you are out of warrant because no one can get their replacement part. This is not fair business practice I will would hope that the attorney general or even congress is aware of this business practice. I will NEVER NEVER NEVER use my cash for anything Samsung again, I felt betrayed by their deceptive appearance and lousy performance in failing to stand by their product and make good with their consumer. Just got through using a hair dryer to defrost the ice maker again, every 4-6 weeks. Seems to be a common problem with no solution from the blogs. Really got nowhere with Samsung, just a scripted response. It appears that this is still a major issue with their re-design, maybe this design should be included in a class action lawsuit. Horrible!!! DO NOT buy a Samsung dishwashers!!! We bought a Samsung dishwasher in October of 2016 (model # DW80F600UTS). Almost immediately we noticed a putrid smell coming from inside the dishwasher. We tried every kind of cleaner from vinegar, store brand cleaners, lemon flavored Kool-Aid... you name it, we tried it. Called Samsung (can hardly understand a word theyre saying) and they told me to keep the door open when not using it!? Seriously!?? Who does that??? Next we started noticing rusty spots on our silverware. Then within 6-8 months of getting it, it stopped working completely! After going through a big hassle with customer service and having to prove to them we only had it for a couple of months, they sent someone to repair it, only to have it break down again a few months later!! But this time it was no longer covered under their 1 year warranty, so it cost us $147 to have a serviceman come out to tell us we needed a new part! So then Samsung calls (again can barely understand them) and says they will replace our dishwasher. GREAT we think They are FINALLY doing the right thing! After all we have been without a working dishwasher now for over a month. BUT... the case will need to be reviewed first!? OK??? Well 3 weeks later, we get an e-mail saying it has been approved. So I call them to see what steps I need to take to get our new dishwasher. After being put on hold for at least 30 min. I am told they are unable to replace it because they no longer have our model in stock! WHAT!?! I was just told less than an hour ago it was approved!! What the heck!!! So I asked to speak to a supervisor who is absolutely NO help. She just says all they will do is refund us the cost of our piece of crap dishwasher. So almost 2 months later we still do not have a working dishwasher and are out $147 for a repairman to tell us we have a piece of crap dishwasher! Samsung does NOT stand behind their products, and they certainly do NOT care about their customers!!!

Samsung refrigerator RF263AEBP - I have had this refrigerator for about 4 years now and it has had problems from a little after its first year. It would defrost everything for a couple of days and then start working again. This went on for months and I just figured it was a weird glitch. Then it started this loud grinding sound from the refrigerator section and it acted like it finally died. I called a repairman and he looked inside and said it was the fan but he couldnt work on it because the fan was frozen solid. He told me to leave it open for a few days while he ordered the part. I lost all of my groceries I had just bought. The repairman never seemed to get the part and after a month of no refrigerator, I plugged it back it and it worked perfectly fine for awhile. So this has been going on every few months until yesterday. The refrigerator wont cool now -- its at 66 -- and the freezer is working perfect. I have had it with this refrigerator!

Samsung model rs265tdbp - We purchased this side by side from Lowes in July 2013. Have had service calls 5 times for constant broken ice maker. Have been told we need to purchase a extended warranty to cover it because were out of warranty. Its a lemon and I wish I had never bought a Samsung and I will never own another Samsung, anything. Horrible customer service!

I purchased a Samsung RF323TEDBSA three door refrigerator February 2013 and have had terrible issues with both ice makers and front door water dispenser and overall think the stainless finish is impossible to clean. The front door water dispenser always drips down the front of the refrigerator requiring constant cleaning and absolutely nothing cleans this poor quality of stainless. I have tried everything! The bottom freezer is not working at all and will not reset. The top freezer has to be defrosted monthly with a hairdryer and reset, to get any ice. Even after those bizarre behaviors, the ice is always wet, very slow to make and drop and always mixes at least 5 or so tablespoons of water in with the ice (and again drips down the front of the refrigerator). I actually bought two of the same refrigerators for two different homes and absolutely think both are just junk. What a joke... As I thought I was buying a higher end appliance! Just another comment, on the Samsung microwave I bought at the same time... Junk. I had to fixed the cracked plastic on the door hinge myself with a You Tube video and rubber band, just so the door would close so the appliance would work... After two years of use (mostly reheating food). I caution all appliance buyers to stay away from Samsung appliances, regardless of the model. Also, getting service without paying an arm and a leg is impossible.

The crisper drawers in a $2000.00 Samsung refrigerator are two pieces assembled at factory. There is an overlap of plastic in which food and water gets trap and there is no way to remove the front of the drawer to clean out rotting food and sitting liquids. Customer support confirms this when I called. There is no way to seperate them, there is no way to clean it. No solution. Rotting food and stale liquid must remain trapped. They do not offer any solution or different parts to resolute the problem.

I have bought Samsung French door refrigerator RF260BEAEWW in 2013.. It came defective since the freezer compartment never started freezing. The store took it back and delivered a new one. I had purchased 5 years warranty on it. And guess what, it is 5 years and 7 months and it broke down. The freezer quit freezing and refrigerator compartment doesnt keep cool temperatures well either. It did work 5 years that they guaranteed, but I would expect this big and expensive items should work longer and not break down right after warranty was over. My older refrigerator is 15 y.o and working just fine without a blip.I called Samsung and created a repair case. I decided to endure the repair cost than to buy a new one. I was too optimistic. Three days later Samsung called back saying that they are closing my case because ‘they don’t have repair technicians’ in my area!!! Just like that.. ‘It’s out of warranty, it’s in the area we don’t serve – so we are closing the case’, and it’s your problem now. I will never buy a Samsung refrigerator ever again.

Samsung microwave, Model: SMH1816S purchased about three years from Best Buy based on their review. A few days ago, the microwave started making humming/buzzing sound even though it was not in use. I also noticed that it was heating up but nothing was showing on the panel so I immediately unplugged and the following day, I called Samsung customer service. The lady I talked to seemed very nice and stated that she is going to create a Liability ticket -which I thought it was kind of bizarre considering that I was just calling to diagnose the issue. She proceeded to tell me that she was referring my ticket to their executive support team (sounds fancy) and that someone will contact me within two hours. Days passed and several calls from me and still have not heard from them. I am thinking about starting a Dont Buy Samsung Crap Page on Facebook, maybe thatll get their attention.Incidentally, their junk of so called products is not limited to microwaves. I have a Samsung laptop (Model NP-NF310) that had the keyboard stopped working 4 months after purchasing it. I called Samsung about it and the guy told me that it was out of warranty and replacing the keyboard would have cost almost as much as the computer itself. I should have learned my lesson from that experience before buying the microwave, but the Best Buy salesman was very convincing (fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me). Samsung - you outdo yourself in producing crappy junk time and again but NEVER AGAIN, will I buy a Samsung.

Our recently remodeled kitchen (less than 2 years) has all higher end Samsung appliances. Our $1,800.00 glass top range top has cracked without any explanation. Pictures were taken and sent in for evaluation and it was determined by the manufacturer that we had personally caused the damage. I asked the customer affairs person as to how they determined this and he had no explanation other than it was his word against mine (He was saying I am a liar, and just wanted a free replacement). Conclusion, pay $500.00 to have a new top installed with no guarantee that it just would happen again!

So much so, in fact, that even though its only 2 years old, rather than repairing the stove... which blew something during a self-cleaning cycle, shut down and remains locked even after 3 days. We are trashing it and buying ANYTHING BUT Samsung. Even the repair service, when calling to confirm our appt. and advised by me that we were buying rather than repairing, advised that that was the way to go when dealing with a Samsung product. I would never recommend Samsung products and the customer service is completely lame. I have a Samsung washing machine that had a recall because the drum wobbled so much. It wobbled so much that it loosened a hose and poured water all over my house…. My laundry is on my second level and I have a cat walk that water poured down into my living room and hallway on my first level and ran through my ceiling on my first level and through my walls down to my basement…leaving water spots on my first level ceiling and damaging several ceiling tiles in my finished basement. I didn’t notice all of the damage and the damaged tiles in the basement until months later when I had another issue with the washing machine and Samsung sent a third-party service company out here to repair it. They repaired the machine and left. Unfortunately, the service company called, Unique Repair (who I would never recommend, as they do not stand behind their work) managed to forget to connect the hose, which led to another incident of water pouring from my second level down my first level and through my walls to the basement. Fortunately, I was able to get the service techs back quickly to stop the machine and drain it, although the damage had already been done. We went into the basement; the service tech also taking his own photos. This second time around the water even damaged more basement ceiling tiles and left stains on my first level ceiling. Both companies, the service company and Samsung are trying to put the blame on each other. How lame of Samsung, since it is Samsung’s faulty washing machine, under warranty and Samsung sent the third party out here to represent them. The first time it happened it was solely on Samsung. The second time on the repair company. Either way, somebody should be responsible for the damage caused in my house. I have suggested to both companies that they split it, but they do not respond and or communicate with each other. Samsung does not stand behind their products. I am an innocent consumer that has been extremely inconvenienced twice by this Samsung washing machine and damage caused to my home, and Samsung support has been completely lame. Nonresponsive and not willing to provide any resolution. I would never recommend purchasing from Samsung. The last I spoke to Samsung customer support she was closing my case, I had no previous knowledge that my case was being closed, because it had been two weeks and she wanted me to provide quotes for the repair. During the world crisis going on it was difficult to get someone out here to quote me on the repair. Actually, It was against the law at the time, as nonessential workers would be fined if working during that time. I finally provided her with one quote and waiting to get another, so she would reopen the case, and she has not responded to me. I’ve reached out multiple times with no response. Seriously, what kind of company operates like this? I am a business owner myself and I would never treat my clients/customers this way. I stand behind my work. I’ve had to spend numerous hours dealing with both companies and getting nowhere. When I did nothing to cause this situation. I’m sure they are hoping to wear me down.

The absolute worst dishwasher I have ever used. Wish I had never bought it! No matter how the dishes are arranged they never all come clean. At least 1 out 4 are still dirty. I now have to soak all the dishes prior to putting them in. Soaking the dishes does not guarantee that they will come out clean. Additionally you will have to clean the area where the water drains each time you use it to prevent Black Mold from growing. Despite getting a Samsung technician and having it repaired twice still the problem is persisting. I even paid Rs 300-400 both times for the repair even though it is under warranty. I even offered to ship it at my own cost back to Samsung and forget about it and would like to buy another refrigerator from another company that is more reliable and responsive. The Lowes repairman told us since it was cosmetic it wasnt covered under warranty. We would have to pay a large amount to replace the front door panel. Why do this if they cant fix the problem that is causing the issue? The repairman basically told us to not use the crushed ice option. WHAT? Why own an ice maker if you cant use the crushed ice? They are now telling me that they havent seen this issue in the database so they dont think its an issue.

Refrigerator, RF266AB, new on 7/7/09... January 13, 2014, home in evening with $166.00 of groceries; felt thawing freezer unit foods. Had to load perishable purchases. Checked temps. Fridge 54 degrees, freezer 38 degrees. Referred to manual and reset according to instruction. 6:30 next morning, far worse. Unplugged unit and re-tried temp settings. Removed ALL foods and dispersed to all friends and family. Called customer service (HA!) 1/14 a.m, could possibly come out on 1/17. Cust. rep. called and said no service till Tues., 1/21//14! ONE WEEK NOW WITHOUT MAJOR APPLIANCE! Lost most of our foods. EXPENSIVE! Very nice service rep. called and came Mon. eve. 1/20. Very knowledgeable and professional. Did testing. Probably compressor. Ordered immediately. Maybe due Fri., 1/24. TEN days now w/o fridge! I called Samsung. Laticia referred me to problem solving cust. resource. I FINALLY got to Deidre in ECR on 1/22. They were very reluctant to transfer me there. No expediting part delivery. Fri. eve 1/24 Tony spent four hrs.replacing compressor! (from 6p-10p)!! He advised us to call in a.m. on Saturday if any problem. Extremely proficient young man, overworked and tired.TEN days without a fridge is obscene in the 21st century!! Samsung should be ashamed of their ethics and standards. IF I had an infant requiring formula OR a necessary, perishable medication, I was told action might be sooner.... REALLY!? Somehow Im disillusioned with that thought! Maybe they would have sent a styrofoam cooler! Samsung NEEDS better customer response, action, & customer satisfaction. How about more technicians to serve the needs of their presumed good reputation? Deplorable is the best word I can use for their lack of compassion and delays. Oh, and how we imposed on our friends and neighbors! I sent flowers to thank them! This was a MAJOR disruption for ALL... except most of the Samsung staff who probably had cold refrigerators the whole while! For five years I loved and praised this appliance. Yes, verbally. Not so sure now. We own two Samsung TVs. I pray we never have to require service. OH, and by the way... IF we had another service person from anywhere come to our rescue... we would have voided our five year warranty on major parts. Makes one wonder if that was why we had to work so hard and long for the result. Two weeks now with cold circulating air. Pray for us that it lasts, and pray it doesnt happen to YOU!!

Once I started fixing it recently, I found many posts on all the possible fixes. I replaced the case break and it still does not work. I see others say to replace the ECS and main boards. My Samsung French Door Refrigerator, model # RF32FMQDBSR/AA quit cooling after 12.5 months of use. It took two months and two visits from the technician to determine that the problem was with the sealed refrigeration system. The first trip the technician replace a circuit board and left immediately. This did not fix the problem. Communication with the Samsung provided service technician was very poor. At first the technician has excuses for not coming back then he just did not respond to calls. I called Samsung and requested another service company. They referred me back to the same guy. After each call I was would be called within 24 to 48 hours. Never happened. He did eventually come back (it has now been two months) and changed the temperature sensor. This did not fix the problem. He said the problem was in the sealed refrigeration system and could not be repaired. So I Called Samsung to ask how this would be handled. The sealed refrigeration system has a five year warranty. First, I was told that they would exchange the unit and would be contacted within 24 to 48 hours. Nothing! So I called back and they said they wanted a second opinion from a second technician and would be contacted within 24 to 48 hours. Again no response. So I called again and They had referred me back to the same company as before. When I told them that this is the same company as before they said they would look for another company and would be contacted within 24 to 48 hours. Again I had to call them to get a status. They said that they did not have a second company in the area to get the second opinion; therefore, they could not exchange the unit, and that I would be getting a refund instead. Every time I call it just gets worse. They say I will only get a partial refund. So I asked if the unit has a five year warranty on the sealed system how come I cannot get an exchange or get it repaired. Samsung customer executive care said the warranty is not valid because there is no service available in my area to fix the sealed system. You think they would replace it. Nope! It has now been over three months and I am waiting on the emails with the instructions on how I am to proceed.

We bought a Samsung dishwasher model DMR78 in October 2010. We selected a Samsung model that was fairly expensive thinking that it would be more reliable and would last longer than conventional models. That was a mistake. After about 2 years it started to make a grinding noise. Since Samsung had no local service center we had to call an independent repair company. The diagnostic was that all the plastic brackets supporting the dishes trays were broken and little loose parts blocked the drain pump. We had to replace the pump. The repair cost was 258$. A year after we had again a grinding noise and we had to call for service again. This time the problem could not be located as it just suddenly disappear after being checked by the service men.About 6 months after we started having error codes #9E. This indicate a clogged level switch that I was able to fix myself by using instructions found on Youtube. It still means that I have to pull out the dishwasher and open it to fix it. This repair takes about 2 hours. That code started showing up again after 6 months and we are seriously thinking to replace the dishwasher after less than 5 years of usage! I would definitely not recommend buying a Samsung dishwasher.

This fridge worked fine for about 2 years then something went haywire. It took Sears five trips to finally send a repair tech who was competent to properly diagnose the problem. The first tech diagnosed the (wrong) problem and charged me $357. That didnt fix it, so a new tech showed up and made a new diagnosis, and ordered another part. It was the wrong part, so another part had to be ordered. In the meantime, I dont have a working refrigerator so bought a 30-year-old $85 beater that does work. Luckily there was room to set it up in the dining area. Sears sent a third tech who said the initial diagnosis was wrong so ordered a new part -- but this tech then said he wouldnt plug the fridge back in because the outlet wasnt grounded. I called an electrician who charged me $75 to say yes it is grounded (which I was pretty sure was the case). Finally a tech showed up and properly diagnosed the problem, at the cost of $272. The tech said Sears would credit my credit card $85 for the difference between the right and wrong parts. Sears has not billed me for the $272 but they also have not refunded me the $85 for the overcharge. I have called them also asking to be reimbursed for these items: the $85 fridge I was forced to buy due to their technicians continued incompetence, $75 for the unneeded electrician service call, $100 that I felt obliged to offer the tenants living in the house to take off their rent because this entire process took two months to find a competent Sears service tech. I will never again buy an appliance from Sears and sure as heck wont call them to service this fridge the next time it has a problem (and Im keeping the $85 beater in the garage just in case).

I bought Samsung refrigerator two years ago. The door shelf broke three times so far. The first two times refrigerator was under warranty so Samsung provided free replacements. This is side by side refrigerator and it has water dispenser. The water is constantly dripping from the water dispenser. Also it has a very slow flow. It also has ice maker, however, whenever you try to get ice, it just spills all over the place because the opening is too wide. Very poor design and quality. Samsung tried to sell extended warranty. I told them when this refrigerator dies I am towing it to landfill and I will never ever buy anything Samsung. This is an extremely low quality refrigerator that was selling for $1800. I also have Samsung microwave. Do I need to tell you that the microwave door broke in less than two years? It was the plastic hinges that are again very brittle. $200 to fix (50% of the original purchase cost). Shame on you Samsung for being cheap and using cheap brittle plastic parts.

Our Samsung Refrigerator was purchased from Lowes and was highly recommended by Lowes and another appliance center in the area. Our refrigerator has broken down 3 times in 4 years which is a horrible record. I have a cheap Kirkland 2nd refrigerator that I have had for almost 20 years and never had broken down one time. Expensive is not always better! Samsung sent us a repair company which then goes out of business and will not recommend and now gives us a 2nd repair company. That repair company tech only knew how to take out screws of a cover and had to be on phone being stepped through how to do diagnostics on refrigerator, only to tell me a 2nd time that power circuit board needs replaced and will be another week. The circuit board is obviously is defective and not covered under 5-year warranty by Samsung. I will not buy anymore Samsung products. Samsung refrigerator (RF4267HARS) with middle drawer and then the bottom freezer compartment has been excellent and I am coming up to the five year mark owning it. The only frustration with the appliance is dispensing ice. When the glass is placed up against the paddle and pressed towards the fridge you can hear the ice auger turning but no ice is coming down the ice chute into your glass. Odd you would think. Then I would open up the fridge double doors and absolutely every time I would be greeted by ice cubes falling down all over the fridge ledge and all over my kitchen floor. No matter how many times I have told Samsung operators that the problem is the size of the ice cubes. The ice cubes get jammed up in the ice chute preventing other ice cubes from falling down the chute into the homeowners glass. A family member purchased an identical fridge six months ago and guess what the ice cubes are half the size. No issues ever with their fridge. A technician replaced the ice cube machine a week ago and the exact same sized ice cubes are being made and the jamming still occurs. This morning I opened up the fridge doors and ice started dropping out of the fridge onto my kitchen floor again. Warranty runs out at the end of 2018 and I cannot wait to sell this fridge. I will no longer purchase a fridge with a ice dispenser.

We purchase this Fridge for our RV which was screaming for a full sized Fridge. It is lightweight, perfect in size, very quiet, doesnt create excessive heat and most importantly has a low power draw. We have owned it two years and remains issue free and takes the abuse we RVers tend to put on a fridge. Highly recommend.

My dishwasher looks nice. It does a good job of cleaning but runs a long time. The size is good but seems very dark inside. We had a problem with it the first year and Samsung did fix it but a year later the same problem. They paid for the parts but we had to pay for the repair. This was the same problem that we had with it the first time. Wish I had bought another KitchenAid.

We bought new home and furnished with new Samsung kitchen appliances. Within the first four weeks, my wife start to notice tiny rust spots inside sheet metal tub of dishwasher. We called Lowes where we had purchased the appliances. The Lowes sales associate called Samsung dealer support customer service and they scheduled an in-home technician visit. The technician cancelled the appointment 2 hours before showing up and re-scheduled again. I took time off from work during week day for the technician visit. When technician showed up, he assessed that it is in fact rusting. He has seen parts corroded before but never this fast on the sheet metal. He said he can fix/repair things but with rust he cannot do anything. The unit needs to be exchanged. I asked him to take pictures for his documentation which he was not thinking off so he did. I waited a week but did not hear anything. So, I called and put on hold for half hour because Samsung customer service said they cannot locate any information on technician visit and they are now tracking him down. After half hour gone, I asked the agent to sort this internal between Samsung departments and get back to me. Another week gone by, no one followed up so I called again. This time was exact repeat of week before, put on hold again for half hour and still no information available from technicians visit. Like the week before, the agent asked me of the name of technician who visited our house. At this point, I was extremely frustrated and told the agent that this is something Samsung should know why customer has to call each week to sort out Samsung internal process. As a customer, I expect resolution of my problem not to help Samsung of their back office issues. I expect someone to take ownership of the issue, follow-up with whomever and get back. I ended called after half hour when agent could not locate the technician or any details of his visit. Later in the evening, I called again to see if the agent was able to find technician or find any information, the result was same. However, agent promised that someone call me next business day without me calling them back.I received a call from Samsung executive customer service that they now have the findings of the technician and indeed there dishwasher is getting rust. However, the cannot offer any exchange because the rust is cosmetic issue and they cannot offer any exchange. They cannot offer any other option and suggested to consult with the retailer. When I asked who is going to reimburse for installation cost of the dishwasher, I was told that Samsung will not reimburse. When I asked, who will reimburse for my time including time off from work for in-home technician visit and subsequent calls over three week dealing with this lemon? The answer was sorry we dont offer anything. I asked to speak to senior leadership; I was told there is no one that the agent can forward the call to.At this point, I have decided to work with Lowes to see if I can return all Samsung appliances worth over $5000 including front loading washer and dryer, large French door fridge and off course this defective dishwasher. I cannot trust the quality and workmanship of Samsung products. Period! What a shame, a company continues to make defective products. This is not the first time I have this experience, back in 2009 when I bought 55 high-end LCD TV, its LCD panel went out after first year and when they replaced the new LCD panel, six months later, it malfunctioned again resulting in swapping to a LED TV in working with their executive customer service.

I built my house in 2008 and purchased all Samsung kitchen appliances. All of my items were purchased from Lowes and their customer service was great. To start with the dishwasher never worked at all. An error code flashed from the moment it was installed so Lowes replaced it with the upgraded model. After 2 months it started flashing a code that meant it detected a water leak. I had repair guys come out 3 times to inspect it, replace sensors and other various parts and it still continues to periodically stop working and flash that code. Samsung is even stumped at why it continues to do this. Next is the above range microwave which has been replaced after only having it 3 years. It was repaired twice and under the warranty was replaced. The new one had is own issues too. Sometimes after closing the door it will automatically turn on and you have to lift up on the handle to get it to stop. Next is the stove. Its a glass top and one of the heating elements went bad after 4 years. The oven light is also glitchy. Sometimes it will flicker on and off when Im baking something. Last but not least is the refrigerator. Its a french door bottom freezer with ice maker and water dispenser. I am so angry with this appliance. It had been repaired the most (5 times under warranty) and still has the same issues. It has the famous leaking water that accumulates in and under the crisper drawers. The ice maker has quit working twice and now dumps ice on the floor randomly. Also, it stopped cooling on one occasion. Im so disgusted with these products and Samsung has very poor customer service. They make the customer feel like they did something to make their product not function properly. Never again will I purchase one of these appliances.

We bought a Samsung French door refrigerator on June 28, 2012. Only a few days after purchase, spots began showing on the stainless steel doors. I called Samsung and read their suggestions online, which was to use a stainless steel cleaner as well as WD 40, but nothing removed the spots. They grew worse until the entire door was covered. I have been completing service requests with Samsung for three months now. Samsung canceled the first two requests and finally sent a Samsung service company to look at our fridge. The service company said they have never seen it before, and that it was most likely a finish defect. Instead of taking care of the issue, Samsung is refusing to replace the doors, stating that it was a cosmetic issue. As you can see by the picture, it is a serious issue on this $2600 piece of crap that Samsung refuses to repair. I own four Samsung TVs and other items, but I will never buy another Samsung product. Who else has this issue?

I bought a Samsung Refrigerator model RFG298HD from Lowes (French Doors) around $3,000.00. We had our first flood from the ice maker at 3:00 in the morning (How much fun is that?). To have a company come out and dry me out, it took them a few days to get someone out for the repair. It was like pulling a teeth to get reimbursed (with pictures). They replaced my ice maker. It was shot and less than one year and 4 months later, on 9/7/12 it flooded my house again. We called and they claimed that someone will call us, but still no luck until 9/11/12 at 10:30 at night. I guess they want to replace my floor and fridge. If anyone is looking to start up a class action, count me in. The customer service sucks!

Our Samsung Microwave SMH9187S had to have its motherboard replaced twice now in less than 3 years due to SE error and while run a few seconds and stopping. According to their own technical repair specialist it is a design problem with moisture which occurs when cooking food on the stove below their over-the-range Samsung Microwave SMH9187S units (Very Expensive Issue to continually have to fix). See all the complaints with Samsung on the Internet regarding not fixing known design and potential safety issues with its products and discontinuing them once issues start to mount to avoid additional liability. They just say its out of warranty and not our problem, call a Samsung authorized service company to have repairs made. This will be the last Samsung product we ever buy again (that includes everything Samsung makes from refrigerators, oven, stoves washers, dryers, phones, tablets, TVs, laptops, electronics, etc. And especially microwaves). When a company knowing refuses to stand behind its product design defects the only course for consumers is to not trust or purchase any products from that company and warn all your friends and neighbors regarding of the companies business practices after the sale and they have got your money. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

My husband and I bought all new Samsung appliances for our first home: refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, washer, and dryer. Each product has had to be repaired in the less than 4-year period we have owned the home. The most infuriating by far has been the refrigerator which now freezes over on a monthly, well, lets be real here, weekly, basis. A block of 3 builds up near the fan due to its poor design flaw which means we have the joy of unloading the entire contents of the refrigerator and freezer only to carry them out to the 1980 GE refrigerator in the garage. The sole job of the refrigerator is to keep food cool, yet this product cannot do it. Im angry that this issue has not been resolved and a recall has not been issued. It may sound crazy, but spending my monthly midnight Oh no, its done it again...time to relocate all of the food hours of fun isnt a tradition Id like to continue. I just want my money back so I can put it towards a new refrigerator that will not convert itself into a titanic sized iceberg that, although an iceberg, cannot keep my food chilled.

I have had my Samsung French door refrigerator for 2 years last September. Thankfully we purchased extended warranty on the appliances. First the defroster had to be upgraded because ice was building up under the deli tray. When they came out to fix that they found out the sensor panel was broken and the ice maker needed upgrades. The ice maker has now had six different upgrades and it still quits working every three months. Samsung says its over a year old so they dont care. The extended warranty company says they didnt come out enough times to consider it a lemon so no exchanges for a refrigerator without an ice maker. Very disappointed and will never buy another Samsung product.

$500 Ice Maker Repair on 2.5-Year-Old Unit - We purchased a French-door refrigerator in July 2010. The ice maker stopped working about two weeks ago. The circuit control board for the ice maker and the ice maker need to be replaced. The repairman said this was a known issue. I contacted Samsung. I was treated nicely and transferred to an expert. But, they said there was nothing they could do - not even offer us the replacement parts - since the warranty was only one year. We paid just under $1,400 for this item. We definitely will not purchase a Samsung anything in the future. Crappy products and no customer service. Maybe they should understand that losing a customer is more costly than sending a replacement part.

Then after four five days later we call him again but he started ignoring our calls and he did not pick up the call then we once again started complaining to Samsung customer care but till date there is no solution. Electric fire with Samsung range-top microwave, model SMH1713S - Purchased from Lowes Cerritos Town Center, Long Beach, CA, approximate price $300+/-. Normal use for less than one year, now producing smoke indicative of an electric short/fire in the mechanism. Also, failure of the main microwave generator as evidenced by lack of heating of material placed in the oven chamber. Major fire hazard, should be the subject of a recall from Samsung, but I do not see any indication that they have taken this type of action. Do not purchase Samsung microwave ovens. Ive had 4 service calls to fix problem and each technician visit had a different story as to why it occurs. However it reoccurs in less than a year. This makes no sense at all since our house is on a full-house water softener and filtration system. Now Samsung will not admit or take ownership of the fact their this model is faulty. The cooling function in the fridge section keeps failing, after two repairs while it was under warranty (which was extremely difficult to get, despite the fact that the fridge maintained 19 degree celsius even when programmed to cool to 1 degree), and multiple repairs after the warranty expired it still will randomly fail. I have done everything advised - I even bought a separate freezer unit because some people suggested the freezer was too full. I keep the fridge minimally packed, but still the fridge refuses to cool. Now it has begun resetting every time the door is open, and sometimes makes a loud grinding noise (we have disabled the ice maker multiple times to try and stop that). Do yourself a favor and do not buy this very expensive fridge. Its garbage.

Samsung Refrigerator, bottom Freezer, refrigerator defrost stopped working, refrigerator completely frosted and refrigerator no longer worked. I defrosted, retried and within 2 weeks same again. I called a local so-called service person, Greg ** and he came and checked it. It had totally frosted over again. He defrosted and said he had to order the part. What he ordered was probably the most expensive part, the computer module. He returned and installed the new module at a cost of $423.73. 2 weeks later, same thing all over. He returned, rechecked and said it appeared to be functioning and there was nothing further he could do with it. At that time I went online and looked up the problem which was also a problem for others. Since it was the defrost that was not working I guessed that it must be the defrost coil or the temperature sensor. I contacted Samsung and ordered an Evaporator Assy, Refrig SMG for $123.28 and a Sensor, Temp F PX-41C TD at a price of $13.82 (all plus taxes and shipping). I did not know in advance that the Evaporator Assy included a temp sensor. I replaced both the Evaporator Assy and the Temp sensor in Aug 2014 and the refrigerator has been working fine ever since. Had I known in advance I would have only purchased the temp sensor first at a cost of $13.82, that may have solved the problem. My biggest complaint is that Greg **, so called service person, chose to replace the most expensive item first, especially since he admitted it was only trial and error and that he could not know exactly what the problem was. He charged $423.73 for something that he did not fix and I later had to fix it myself. I am not a service person and I was able to get the refrigerator working!

They finally sent out someone and they confirmed. They were supposed to come back in two weeks to install the new part. We have called over 20 times and Samsung does not return phone calls and claim they will help and then do not respond. They have horrible customer service. We purchased a very expensive/nice Samsung refrigerator two years ago. Recently we smelled a burning smell and then woke up to find that the entire refrigerator had gone out. The handy dandy electronic panel on the front complete with wifi/music/weather was still working perfectly saying that the fridge was cooling. IT WAS NOT! After, transferring the entire fridge/freezer to multiple coolers on a Sunday we proceeded to call to get a repairman on Monday morning. Well, come to find out not many people can repair these fridges! So, we talked to Samsung customer service who promised to send someone out. A day later, we hear from someone who is coming the next day. Mind you it has now been three days without refrigeration. They finally show up, after we were talked into purchasing a protection plan for another year since ours had expired. After looking at the refrigerator for ten minutes it is decided that the entire compressor is out. They put the fridge right back in place and said they would be in touch. They have to ORDER the compressor (which takes two weeks at least) after they call to get it covered by Samsung. Apparently the compressor is covered for 5 years which means we didnt need to buy the other coverage for $300. I will NEVER buy another Samsung anything and I just want to let everyone else know to steer clear!!!! I hope Samsung will read this and someone up the line at Corporate will take a look at their customer service department!

Just a note to say that it is beyond me how a giant company like Samsung can sell such sub par products and allow themselves to disappoint millions of customers with their extremely horrible customer service. I cant even count how many bad reviews there are out there about numerous Samsung Refrigerator models, not to mention all the other product issues as well. We too purchased a terrible fridge model RF267 and have been dealing with the ice maker freeze up and water leaking among other things for years. Its appalling to me that Samsung can let this go on and on for years on end. If a company refuses to build a good product and refuses to be held accountable for their lack of knowledge in engineering and complete disregard for customer satisfaction, they should no longer be in business. Bye bye Samsung... The electronic world is far too competitive. Its only a matter of time before what you have dished out comes back to you.

Samsung Refrigerator RF32FMQDBSR problems - After a year I noticed the ice maker bin getting harder and harder to remove and finally it froze up so solid it took 4 hours to thaw and remove the ice bin. It did this again within a month. After some researching I find this is a problem others are having also. Since that second thaw I have been removing ice build up under the ice bin weekly to keep it from freezing up again but its getting worse. It does this whether the ice maker is on or off. After watching this appliance for the last couple of months, I have concluded the drain line for the ice maker defrost has frozen up stopping the drain path of the ice maker defrost melt, which now overflows to under the ice bin and refreezes. This is an obvious bad design with no clear fix in sight. If I were to clear this drain line (dont know how) it will do it again in a year from buildup of ice. The other issue is that ice maker cannot dispense cubed ice, again poor design.

When I tried to register the product at the Samsung site, it kept kicking me out to correct non-existent errors, giving me the suspicion they didnt want to accept my information or to honor the warranty. I got them on the phone and they cheerfully set-up an appt. with the only Samsung service available in a 75 mile radius, and I live just outside Chicago! Not sure what had happened to my brand new dishwasher, I decided to call the service outlet 12 miles from my home to inquire about the possibility of it being due to bad electric service. They informed me that the visit alone would be $138! I since realized it was Samsungs fault because I have 4 other electronic appliances that have been around for 5 years, trouble-free.But I also decided to Google trouble with this dishwasher and immediately found a website called: Consumer Complaints & Reviews. Apparently, I wasnt the only one who discovered too late, that the most important part of selling me a Samsung dishwasher is getting me to purchase it... Of the top 125 complaints, there are about 20-30 Best Buy customers. The typical breakdown concerns the Chinese electronic control panel which is what my problem is, according to the trouble code. The dishwasher will recover after about 4-8 hours, begins a new wash cycle and then a few minutes later, stops and blinks the LEDs.Ive had it for 6 months and used it 10 times. I have the original box of Powerball tablets recommended by Samsung. I live alone and usually wash a lot by hand instead of wasting energy, soap, etc. Im presently at home with a back injury and no dishwasher! I can only stand for about 2 to 4 minutes and Im still paying for the broken Samsung. So far, the cost is $50.00 per wash load!I called Best Buy for help. I wanted to trade this for a new dishwasher of a different brand and they offered to take the unit away for me, while there, delivering my new purchase! I got angry and said, I couldnt find out it was defective before your time limit. I dont have that many dishes. They asked me if Id bought the extended service plan and I got more angry. I said: Once you get it out the door, it’s next customer? What happened to standing by your product? Youre in this business, obviously, you know this is junk, why is it on your floor to sell to me?According to these bad reviews at Consumer Complaints & Reviews, Samsung had denied, blamed and dragged their feet at the customers expense for months at a time in many cases. So my worst fears about trying to clean my dishes with my injury are coming true! WHY Samsung? WHY Best Buy? I hope you have the decency to allow this review to be posted here, for the sake of your remaining customers, because Ive taken myself off your mailing list and cutting up your so-called: Elite membership! Just in case you censor this review, Ill be posting it all over the internet, everywhere I can, until my undeserved punishment is repealed by you or Samsung.

Model Number : RSG257AARS/XAA. Serial Number : B11643ADC00137X. The ice maker flap keeps banging back and forth and no one can fix it. The fridge is out of warranty. I tried to one of their authorized repair people, by the time he got to me he was no longer associated with them. He said the problem was a short in the electrical wiring and he does not fix that.I went back to Samsung. They agreed to pay for any parts and sent me to another supposedly authorized repair person. That person said I still had to pay him shipping on parts. Samsung said that was not correct and after they talked to this person Samsung said he he not have even credit to do the work and they would find someone else.Today I got a call and email stating that Samsung would no longer help me because they have no authorized repair person available to help me. Basically I was told luck lady. Dont buy any Samsung products. They have a very bad warranty and it is impossible to find an authorized repair service. Their customer service lie again and again and again.

Refrigerator works fine. Water filter cartridge needs to be changed every 6 months. Thats okay too. But SAMSUNG refuses to provide information on what to do to recycle the used filter cartridge. I dont want to reuse it; I just dont want to add more plastic to landfills. Some other refrigerator manufacturers tell you how to empty used cartridges and recycle the plastic. SAMSUNG wont. I tried online search: no usable results. I tried online chat: they connected me to a Printer Expert for crying out loud! I called: they told me the cartridge cannot be recycled and they cannot reveal what plastic it is made of. If you care about the environment, do not buy SAMSUNG until they change this policy.

Problem: Water dispenser began leaking immediately upon installation. Purged system of air but leak continued. Then within a week or so of use, the water dispenser began making a vibrating noise. The noise was in the area where the water line leads into the back of the refrigerator. Solution: After repair service made three attempts, one by replacing the water valve. This eliminated the vibrating noise for a day. The vibrating noise was continuous. The third service call was removing the water filter. There was no vibration or leaking when the filter was not in the refrigerator. The service repairman suggested leaving the filter out for a day then install a new filter. We installed a new filter the next day. It worked. We have been leak free and noise free for several days. So, if you have either of these problems or both, I suggest you remove the filter and install a new one before calling service. By the way, our service company informed us we would be getting a new filter from Samsung since the 6-month period had not been up on the filter.

I love my fridge and the screen on the front where I can leave notes to the family. Only thing I cant figure is why make such a big refrigerator with a tiny ice container. We fill 3 or 4 glasses and ice is gone. Not big enough for a family. And its a big fridge but not a lot of space. All I can say is make a bigger ice maker and tray.

I cannot believe our expensive French door refrigerator (purchased from Home Depot in November 2014) has disappointed me so much. In common with so many of the reviews, we have no ice maker. It took over a month to get an official Samsung repair person to come and his verdict is that he knew exactly what the problem was, had seen it in so many other of the same model refrigerators and quoted me $800 to repair, and said I might as well get to know him, because it would break again. The back of the unit is frozen and the fans cannot work properly. I thought this was a reputable company with quality products. I will never buy a Samsung again. Save yourself much time and frustration and stay away from this product!

In 2015, we purchased a $1200.00 Samsung Dishwasher, model DW80J755 Series, and started having problems in April of 2018 with an error code LC. The repair was made under warranty and also was found that the dishwasher had faulty installation of the waterline, which was crimped. The same error code LC, was again present on the dishwasher of June 2019. Once again, a repair was done to rectify this problem and it was under warranty. Forward to November 2020, and for the third time in as many years, the error code LC came up. The dishwasher is no longer under warranty by 3 weeks. A call to the appliance store we bought it from, said they would send an estimator out for $175.00 just for an estimate which didn’t cover repair, labor or parts! A call to Samsung’s Customer Service on Nov. 23rd, had the gentleman tell me because this has been an ongoing problem for the last 3 years, we qualify for a new dishwasher. The process was to give me a ticket # (**), send it for approval and someone would call & email me within 3-5 business days. As of today, Dec. 3rd, no one has contacted us and so I called Samsung to get an update only to be told that it is still being reviewed. Then I was told that they couldn’t accommodate us with repairs or a new dishwasher. Then they put me over to their Exchange & Refund team where Chris pretended, he didn’t hear me talking after saying Hello, Hello, Hello, 3 times, and he hung up on me. So, here we are with a $1200.00, 5-year-old dishwasher that has had the same error code 3 years in a row and have gotten no satisfaction from the manufacturer and no use of the dishwasher for almost 2 weeks!
