SAMSUNG DOUBLE OVEN CONVECTION RANGE NE59J7850WS - After a kitchen remodel
SAMSUNG DOUBLE OVEN CONVECTION RANGE NE59J7850WS - After a kitchen remodel last year I updated my appliances and since we have such fantastic folks at our local Lowes store, that is where I went to buy them. First time in 20 years. I am sick that I had to do so now that I have had to experience complete failure in my new products. I went through 5 new stoves and returned them for one reason or another. Lowes was amazing in their desire to be sure I was satisfied. I eventually settled for the Samsung because I thought the small oven and the convection feature would be good.I am 62 years old and started cooking when I was 8. I have never in my entire life burned as many things as I have burned with this cook top in the past 4 months of ownership. I cannot control the temperature so I have to cook absolutely everything on the lowest setting and stand over the stove while it is cooking. The ovens just completely stopped working today and I have no idea why. Before the ovens quit working, the fans blew in my oven and overcooked half of the food I would bake and under cook the other side of it. I NEVER EVER get the stove top clean, EVER. I use the products made just for the smooth top and all it does is smudge. I am way too frustrated after 5 stoves and then spending what I consider a fortune on this stove to even consider calling service people if I will not be able to understand them. Unplugging and plugging back in did not work for me. Waiting for that class action suit for sure.

In 2013 purchased a Samsung Side-by-side SS Refrigerator Model RS26TDR from Lowes. Worked good for about 8-9 months; came home & found the temperature in refrigerator was 60+ degrees; lost all food - called repairman to fix it & filed a loss on homeowners insurance [I had a rider to cover refrigerator loss]; worked great for about 7 more months; came home & found the same thing. This time in addition to losing food we lost at least $1,000 in **. Called repairman & filed a loss on insurance--has a $500 limit less $100 deductible so I didnt really get anything for the drug loss. Went & purchased a new Whirlpool French Door to replace it & moved it into laundry room to use for drugs which take up at least 1/4 of the space. Was working ok as far as I knew & last week came home & found the same problem 60+ degrees in refrigerator & around 0 in freezer.Cleaned everything out & called a repairman--will not work on Samsung appliances; called every repairman in our area - no one would come. Was told I would have to call a Nationwide Repair Company & gave me a phone number. When I called the minimum trip & diagnosis would be around $200 - then there would be labor & parts charged for repair. Also could not come for at least a week. I had to have a refrigerator to store ** & other drugs requiring refrigeration. Called insurance & cannot file a 3rd claim on same appliance so Im out another refrigerator of food & hoping it was caught early enough not to damage the **. I went out & spent $250 on a used refrigerator for the drugs. Have been researching online & found out that Samsung knew they had this problem, did not do a recall & ended up getting the class action suit against them cancelled. I will never ever buy anything Samsung again.

We were excited to buy our Samsung fridge. It looked nice, was spacious, LED lighting, and more. But we have had a lot of problems with the freezer, and so far, it has not been fully addressed. We have lost food, Samsung repair has been out 2 times, replaced 3 different parts, insulted us on the phone - and yet the freezer still has problems. When this first started, we did not realize the freezer was building up ice on the back of the drawer; this area is not visible. Ice was apparently also building up on the rails. So the freezer had trouble closing, and at some point it stayed open about 1/8 for a few days and we lost all our food. We had no idea this was happening. We had Samsung repair come out and they replaced 2 parts. It is a long story, but we were initially led to believe we would get reimbursed for our food loss; not only did Samsung refuse to do that, but a Samsung employee actually called us, and blamed us. Apparently that person was unaware that Samsungs own repair people had replaced two different parts. Blaming us is an attempt at intimidation, to avoid paying the reimbursement. We have this call recorded on voice mail as well. We had no freezer at all for a whole MONTH - for the Samsung repair process - but I do not get the feeling from anyone I have talked to that Samsung cares about this. And the repair did not fully work. Our problems continue, and we can hear ice dropping. A Samsung employee told us there were no complaints about our model at all, which is hard to believe because when we had Samsung repair come out again, the repairman said there was an actual Service Bulletin out on our model. He replaced another part, so that is 3 different parts replaced. Yet, after this 3rd part was replaced, our freezer continues to drop ice. From extensive observation, it seems likely to me that this is a design problem, for Samsung lower-drawer freezers that have ice cubes in the lower drawer. They overfill the container and fall out of the back. And this is not just my opinion - that the design is at fault - one of the repairmen also talked about this.So its been close to a year now that we have had freezer problems. The way Samsung has treated us - trying to blame us for this, and refusing for a long time to reimburse our food loss - has left us very unhappy with Samsung. They finally did reimburse us recently but only after we went to Twitter, LinkedIn, and other places. We are posting on social media (and on this website) because we want people to know what our experience is. Samsung did not have to treat us this way. I have even started a website also about this, and it has a blog too at: **. I suppose Samsung repair could come out yet again - but if its a defective design, then there is nothing that a repairman can do.Since Samsung seems unable (or unwilling) to help us get this resolved, we will at some point just sell this thing, at a big loss no doubt, and find some other brand of refrigerator. If you want to avoid what we have gone through, I recommend you do NOT buy a Samsung refrigerator - or any other Samsung products, if their customer service in other products is as bad as this!

I bought the new Waterwall dishwasher in July 2014. It worked well for one week. The door wouldnt stay shut. When it was shut steam came out the top and damaged my counter tops. We have had it repaired 4 times. Last night after investigating a moldy smell under the sink, we found black mold and wet wood. It appears the dishwasher has been leaking and we never knew it. I already have a claim with Samsung to replace my counter tops and now we may have to leave the house because of the mold. I called my insurance company who is sending someone out today to inspect. I wish I never bought this dishwasher. Samsung is the worst.

SMH9187b microwave - SE error code appeared on this two-year-old unit. I followed the troubleshooting instructions with no results. I had their authorized service tech come out, cost $85, to the house. He said we needed a new control panel, $280. I said, Thats too expensive. Whoops, he found a loose wire. It worked fine for two days then the SE code reappeared. Were seniors so this thing is not abused. Looking online, it seems this unit has many other unhappy owners. It seems to me this may be related to the prior recall.

We purchased this dishwasher (DMT800 series) from Lowes and thought we were getting a good product. It did not take long to see we were wrong. This appliance has been nothing but trouble since it was installed (by professional, I might add, to keep warranty in effect). Besides not cleaning well, the heating element seems to never fully turn off - no explanation for that. I will say it is quiet when running, but that is about the only good thing I can say. Now, after approximately 17 months of use (one load daily on the most part), it now will come on and not proceed to go through the cycle to wash. Customer service people ask all kinds of questions that are better answered by service personnel and the extended warranty picks a company to provide service who will contact you in two to four business days! What kind of service is that? Pathetic product and undependable repair service - I will never buy another Samsung appliance again.

We bought a refrigerator May 31 2011. The fridge made weird noises, kind of like an electrical surge. We had someone check it out because we didnt want a fire. We were told everything was fine. Sometime later, I started seeing water in my drawers and not thinking to much about it, cleaned it up. All the time wondering and curious where it could be coming from. My problem just spiraled out of control. One day I went to open my fridge drawer and was not able to open either one of them. They were frozen to the bottom of the frig, with at least 21/2 inches if SOLID ICE. I then had to take a chef knife and try to break the ice apart. It was unbelievable. I took some pictures because I couldnt believe it (Unfortunately, they were lost when my phone broke). I cleaned the mess up.This happened I couldnt tell you how many times. Or how much food had to be thrown out. Then I noticed the freezer was frosting up like one out of the 1970s. I had to unplug my fridge to clean out the freezer. Everything in it was covered with ice. More food ruined. Mind you, this is a frost-free freezer. Right. I have nothing but expense (food), aggravation, and no satisfaction at all. As of today 5/16/2014 my refrigerator is reading 57 degrees. I unplugged my fridge today, completely cleaned it out top to bottom. Threw out 2 garbage bags of food and thats where I am as of today. We paid right around 11010100 for this poor excuse for a fridge and not sure where to go from here. We will never buy another Samsung!!!

Do not use the self-clean feature on your Samsung ovens. Google Samsung stove door won’t open and you’ll find 100s of complaints for the same issue. Door locks (will no longer open) and the control panel fries 30-45 minutes into the cycle due to high heat melting the thermostat. Samsung advises you it’s out of warranty, and will provide you with a phone number to an authorized service tech in your area to call and set up a repair at your expense of course.

2 years ago my refrigerator went out on a Friday night. Because I needed a fridge right away, I ended up buying a Stainless Steel Samsung, French door with bottom freezer at Home Depot. It was the worst decision I have ever made. In the summer I have to buy ice because it does make enough. The handle on the freezer broke and to fix it, it would cost 600$ because they would have to replace the entire door. Then the cheap plastic pull out drawers cracked. Now the freezer has stopped working. I will probably end up having to buy another new refrigerator.

Within a couple of months of purchasing my refrigerator, the ice maker started leaking causing it to freeze up. I contacted Samsung and they sent out a repairman to fix it under warranty. Less than a year later it started leaking and freezing up again. At this time the customer service representative assured me that Samsung would make good on the problem and they now have a repair kit to solve the issue. She also informed that if the kit did not fix the problem Samsung would replace my refrigerator at no cost to me. The kit did not fix the problem and now Samsung is not honoring their word and has refused to replace my refrigerator.

The ice maker in our refrigerator initially leaked. A repair tech changed the seal to the outer door and suggested not using crushed ice. The ice maker then starting building up a lot of frozen water and the ice cubes jammed when they went to drop. A repair tech applied silicone sealant around the exterior of the ice box. The ice maker continued to jam. A repair tech replaced the electrical board that would help the ice maker defrost and not build up ice. The ice maker then quit making ice cubes. A repair tech said the ice box should be changed. This could not be done because no part number could be made. Another repair tech said the ice maker needed replacement, but he could not remove the ice box because of the sealant. Another repair tech replaced the ice maker by removing one screw and not touching the ice box. The ice maker is making ice but now the ice will not come out of the ice maker. For a $3000 refrigerator this is a terrible ice maker and even worse instructions for repair technicians. Samsung will not stand behind making repairs beyond the first year. The extended warranty company has done everything they can to make it difficult to accomplish repairs.

I bought a new Samsung French Door model RF197ACWP refrigerator on July 24, 2013. The day after delivery, I discovered the freezer was freezing everything rock solid including my ice cream and it was showing frost on the drawer front. I called Customer Service and their response was to more or less slam the freezer door a few times. On the fourth day, I called again requesting a service rep to come out. I contacted the suggested repair service and they came out the next day only to have the rep say that there was nothing wrong with the unit. That it was set up to the Samsung specs. The ice maker then overflowed, so the ice maker has to be shut off every 4 to 5 days.

This is the first dishwasher I have ever had with stainless steel inside. Is this the reason Im having problem with mold growing on my dishes? All other dishwashers I have had, left dishes in longer not rinsed that good. Never had mold grow on them. It made me so sick to see this the first time, every dish had mold growing. Good thing there wasnt that many in there. Took them out soaked in bleach. I read my book it said run it once a week, I have been. Run the dishwasher with bleach, then run it again with dishwasher detergent, without dishes. I thought it wouldnt happen again but it did. So disappointed in this dishwasher. Has anyone else had this problem? After the first time I told my husband to be sure to rinse them good. Well it did happen. Bought this dishwasher Jan. 2016, only 8 months old.

Terrible design on water dispenser. It actually dispenses back at an angle, making it impossible to fill water bottles, but worse causes a constant drip of water that did not make it into any container. There is no reservoir for overflow, so once the shallow holding area is full, water gets all over the floor, when opening the door. Dont have the model number, but it is the model sold at Lowes in 2012, with French doors, bottom freezer, and dual ice makers.

Samsung NE59K3310 Electric Range - Just bought it brand new from Lowes and the oven never gets up to the set temperature. When the beeps ring out that it is at set temp we only get 200 degrees and wait for over 15 minutes to get to 335 degrees. We bought an oven temperature gauge to test it. I followed the factory adjustment procedure and increased it by 15 degrees. Now the oven takes 30min to get to 350 degrees but drops to under 300 degrees within five minutes and doesnt come back up. Before I called to get it fixed I googled Samsung ovens and find so many defective units. Its mind boggling. I have decided to return it to Lowes and buy a GE, Whirlpool, Maytag or ANYTHING else. The other problem is the amount of pressure it takes to activate the controls. Being male with no fingernails makes it easier, but my darling has to use her knuckle to press to get enough pressure to activate the controls.

We bought this double range in 2014. On Jan of 2017 we were moving the range to have a new floor put in. When the floor was done we moved the range back to where it was and plugged it in. When we did this it blew the breaker. We then shut off the electric and checked the range. We could smell smoke from the back of the range. We took the back of the power cover off and found the black plastic clamp that holds the wire to the power cord let go and the wires hit the cover and shorted out the range. I was told that there was nothing that could be done. I feel this is a serious safety issue and it could cause serious problems or fire. Will not buy another.

She transferred me to a more senior representative who made the same claim. This is ridiculous!!! The same for anything at the very front. An expensive, $3,000, piece of junk. What can stop this fraud perpetrated on the public, especially when consumer advocate groups rate this product so highly? I bought the Samsung Refrigerator in 5/14 from Best Buy (I will not go to Best Buy for anything). I started having problems with the ice maker not making ice in a few months and continue for over 3 years. My neighbor was nice enough to explain to me that the frig wont make ice if the frig is not level. Call someone out to level it. The installer and the repairmen should know that. It still would quit making ice, but I was able to knock the ice off the ice maker and it would start making ice again. The last 2 weeks, I am not able to get the frig to make ice.Back in April, the frig sounded like it was in the 500 road race. I called a repairman out and said it needed a evaporator cool kit. It 2 months for him to get it. He installed it and 2 weeks the terrible noise again was back. Called the same guy and he said he could install another kit, but it would continue to have problems. He said that Samsung does not allow the repairmen to know much more about the frig. He said that the refrigerator will eventually quit running. I needed to contact Samsung. I did that and he couldn’t find any repairman in my area. What a bunch of crap. The service is terrible. The frig is awful. I did write the CEO and President Tim Baxter and I didnt get an answer. The stove and fridge continues to operate smoothly. The microwave worked well the first year then begin to malfunction. The power would cut off in the middle of heating a meal. I would unplug the power cord then plug it back in the outlet after 10 secs to turn the power back on. I thought that it could be an issue with the power outlet or breaker. My electrician confirmed both sources were working properly. So this malfunction occurred often until recently the microwave goes out after 5 secs of running. Then I repeat the plugging and unplugging every 5 to 10 secs until the food warms up. This is frustrating because I always have to drag the tall bar stool and use it as a stepping stool to reach the power outlet inside the rear of the cabinet. Sometimes I get so fed up that I just use the oven or stove to heat up my food. I called Samsung service center today and the rep was very polite, took my model number and zip code and provided me the telephone number of the nearest service technician. I called the number and it was not in service. I called Samsung back and this time I reached a rep who was really nice but we struggled to understand each other because of our accents. I explained to him about my earlier call and that the telephone number wasnt in service. He checked and confirmed that was the only service tech listed in my area. I asked whats the alternative. I was advised that since my microwave was out of warranty that I would need to find my own repairer. I asked what is the lifespan of this model because Ive had it 3 yrs and its been malfunction most of the time. My last microwave came with the home in 2001 and still worked fine over 10 yrs later. This is unacceptable.

Just before a year of having the Samsung Glass top stove NE595R0ABSR/AA, the enamel in the bottom of the stove started to crack. I didnt notice at first but the cracks were getting larger and showing in different areas of the bottom of the stove. When I purchased my home, I purchased almost all Samsung appliances... After this, I will never buy anything made by Samsung... not even a phone nor TV. Clearly the service rep that came out and agreed that this issue is a defect. I attempted to address the issue with Samsung, but days after sending pictures and receipts, they stated the stove was not under warranty and they would not cover it. To make things worse, I have extended warranty through Asurion (Home Depot warranty) and they stated its something that should be covered by the manufacturer. So, I have a $700 stove where no one want to own up to being the responsible party for coverage.

I started having odor issues with this dishwasher (Model DW80F600) not even
I started having odor issues with this dishwasher (Model DW80F600) not even a month after purchasing it on 5/25/14. Ive had 6 techs out to look at it and they recommend things like changing the detergent, running the hot water, using Jet Dry, etc. to re-plumbing through the garbage disposal. Ive complied with all of their suggestions. No parts were ever replaced on the unit and the one part that the 6th tech is saying should be replaced Samsung is stating that its a customer maintenance issue and claiming that Ive never cleaned the dishwasher and damaged it. To make a really long story short - its now 5/6/15 and Im being denied service on it because its in Samsungs system that Ive damaged it and its a customer maintenance issue. Never mind the fact that its been an ongoing issue for nearly a year.Ive provided Samsung with the bill of sale, all the receipts of service with tech notes on them, etc. The service notes that I received from Lowes were different than the physical receipts that I have. The techs are claiming to have replaced two parts on the unit & also making statements that are untrue - like Ive never cleaned it. I bought Dishwasher Magic on 12/24/14, which is in both my receipts & the notes I received from Lowes (who handled my first 5 service calls). Every time I talked to a Samsung rep its another story all with the same ending - they cant/wont help me.I received the technician notes (from Lowes) from the service requests that I starting in July 2014. I have attached those notes, along with the service receipts as well as a scanned image of the seal sump part & packing that it came in. This SHOULD be proof that either the technicians or someone at Samsung is LYING about what they have done to service our dishwasher. This is all due to a foul odor that has been going on beginning less than two months after purchase. I would like for Samsung to replace the bottom door gasket under warranty, replace the dishwasher (if its not fixable), OR at the very least authorize another service technician to come out, preferably a manager, to assess the dishwasher AGAIN under warranty. Samsung is claiming that Ive damaged my dishwasher & never cleaned it and therefore are unwilling to replace the bottom door gasket or allow for another service tech to come inspect our dishwasher. Here are the things that Id like to point out. The service appointment from Brand Source states that they put in parts. Id like to know what part they are claiming to have ordered and installed and ask how, since this is our first service, did they know to order that part and have it ready for installation? This is a complete lie - no part(s) were purchased or replaced on the dishwasher. I was told that we should re-plumb through the garbage disposal, try Jet Dry, and run it every couple days. Both of those suggestions were taken. We also ran the dishwasher empty with a cup of vinegar. Those suggestions and CLEANING from July (not 2 months into owning it) didnt work so we placed another service call. The initial tech from A&E came and decided that the tub/sump gasket needed to be replaced so he ordered the part. I have attached (Seal Sump) which is an actual scan of the packaging which was shipped 12/18/14 as well as the scanned image of the seal sump (product #DD62-00050A) still in the bag which I STILL have because it was never replaced as the tech notes are claiming to have replaced on 12/24/14 when in all actuality that tech (who was a different one than the one that ordered the part) said the gasket wasnt bad and that I should try Dishwasher Magic. I bought Dishwasher Magic and the tech put it in and ran started the dishwasher - therefore this was the second cleaning. It was recommended to us to try pod style detergent vs. liquid and to run the hot water in the sink, make sure its good-n-hot, then start the dishwasher. Both of those suggestions were taken and it still hasnt solved the issue. The last service on 4/8/14 performed by One Stop Appliance is completely off base. The tech notes (attached) stated that we need the bottom door gasket replaced and that he would get in touch with Samsung to order the part. I received a phone call from ** on 4/9/14 letting me know that Samsung wont authorize replacement of the part claiming its a customer maintenance issue. The tech notes indicate that I called Samsung and use the words food build up. How can the tech notes reflect something that hasnt even happened yet - my calling didnt occur until 4/9 - service was performed on 4/8. They also state that this is an issue due to never cleaning. Given that Ive provided at least 2 examples, one with a receipt, of times that Ive cleaned the dishwasher - this is just a false statement. In calling Samsung to try to get this issue resolved this has escalated from we have food particles in the dishwasher to we have damaged the dishwasher. The Samsung user manual states: CLEANING THE INTERIOR. Clean the interior of your dishwasher periodically to remove any dirt or food particles. Wipe the inside of the dishwasher and the inner part of the door with a wet dishcloth. We recommend filling the detergent dispenser with dish detergent, and then running the dishwasher empty periodically using either the Normal or Quick cycle with the sanitize option. This will keep your dishwasher clean. If white spots and odor are still present in your dishwasher, run the Normal cycle with the dishwasher empty and without detergent until it ushes. Then, interrupt the cycle and put an 8 ounce cup of white vinegar into the lower basket. Close the dishwasher and let the cycle finish. Do not remove the tub front seal (the long rubber seal enclosing the opening of the dishwasher).I HAVE performed periodic cleanings of the dishwasher and it still has a foul odor. I also rinse ALL my dishes before putting them in the dishwasher, and I wipe down excess water that gets on the door before closing it. This odor can begin within 24 hours of running a cleaning cycle. How is that a customer maintenance issue? Also, some of the phone reps have told me that notes indicate that there are food particles left in the dishwasher. If this is true then why? Shouldnt the dishwasher be rinsing, cleaning, and drying the dishes and therefore the tub? A particle is: From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: A particle is a minute fragment or quantity of matter. [1] In the physical sciences, the word is used to describe a small localized object to which can be ascribed several physical or chemical properties such as volume or mass; subatomic particles such as protons or neutrons; and other elementary particles. [2] The word is rather general in meaning, and is refined as needed by various scientific fields. Something that is composed of particles may be referred to as being particulate. [3] However, the term particulate is most frequently used to refer to pollutants in the Earths atmosphere, which are a suspension of unconnected particles, rather than a connected particle aggregation.IF I have food particles in the dishwasher how is a minute fragment causing such an odor that I have been calling for service on the dishwasher since 7/18/14? In addition if this were a customer maintenance issue then why has it been an issue since a month after the purchase date? And in performing all the technician suggestions it still hasnt resolved the issue? I have filed with the BBB and here is their second response after I contested their first response. Still clearly not paying attention to the facts and still not willing to help. Heres Samsungs official response: Ms. **, Thank you for providing the additional information regarding your claim. Samsungs product team has evaluated all new and existing documentation available on your claim. The warranty coverage remains unchanged. Although Samsung cannot pinpoint the cause, a few examples for the odor are: infrequent cleanings, excessive food residue, the drain hose is connect to the garbage disposer, from which food can get backup into the drain hose. What would not be contributing to the odor is mechanical or part failure and the Limited Warranty only covers product malfunction or defect. There is no such evidence.I understand there were was added concerns about the part that was order but not installed. This was noted but this part nor changing it would address the symptom. With our apologizes, warranty will not be covering the cost of any further repair requests to address the odor symptom. Thank you.

I purchased a full kitchen suite in June of 2018 and my gas range oven just quit working yesterday. I have received no help whatsoever from Samsung and have spoken with 3 different representatives. I mentioned to all 3 that I researched the problem and Samsung knows full well that they have a defective part that causes this to happen yet has not recalled the models or the part itself despite the fact that there is a pending class action lawsuit against them. I would hate to see anyone waste their hard earned money on appliances that cant even last a few years. Samsung should be ashamed of themselves. Appliances should easily last longer than 2 1/2 years. Hopefully my reviews will help someone else from wasting their hard earned money.

Samsung French Door Refrigerator Model RF4287HARS Stainless - Whatever you do, purchase the extended warranty. I did and am happy about spending the extra 90.00 for a 3 year warranty. I feel electricity and hear a buzzing when I touch the handle on the side where the ice maker is on. Service Repair is coming out to look at it for free. Ive tried looking online for any recalls or class action cases, and for some reason Im not having much luck. It was purchased at Home Depot, but that may not make a difference. It hurts at first to spend an extra 90.00 for a 3 year warranty but think after spending 2,000 for the darn thing! I would advise a warranty for at least 5 years. I believe it will be a good investment.

Purchased a Samsung refrigerator, Model # RF217ACBP in July 2012. Within 6 months, the ice maker broke and there would be huge amounts of water sitting in the produce bins. Had the ice maker replaced by the Sears tech and just emptied water from bins. Then, 1 month after warranty expired, the fridge started making a loud noise and would not ever stop. The 6 cooling vents in the refrigerator ice up and the temp is about 50 degrees causing all the food to spoil. I have unplugged it and defrosted it numerous times but within a week or two, it ices up again and all food is lost. I contacted Sears, where we purchased it and asked why they carry and sell a product that is obviously defective. They gave me a number to call for Samsung. Called them and they said that it was covered by them for 5 years but I would have to pay for the first service call but everything after that was covered. In reading ALL of the complaints online, I learned that to fix the problem was approx $500 and that only lasts for a short time until the problem returns. This Samsung product should be recalled since there are thousands of complaints regarding the same issue. We dont have a lot of money and a refrigerator that is less than 2 years old should not have a problem that is obviously a design flaw that does not have a permanent fix or repair. I have called local repairmen and none of them want to work on it because they know it cant be fixed and do not want to pit their reputation on the line. How can something like this with the magnitude of complaints not be addressed?

Had dishwasher 2 years. My contractor handled first 3 service calls in time right after bought. He had family issues as well as me. Washer works intermittently long cycle > 4 hours then stops altogether not to mention water pools in bottom. I usually add bleach when I smell it. So I call because its Xmas and I cannot use washer other than as dish drying rack. Buy extended warranty. Call. Guy comes out. He can get it working, needed part. Comes back, puts new part in. Said normal 4 hr cycle. Mind you washer is 6-8 feet from Insta hot water heater. In California should be banned. No Appliance running water should run this long. Now its Easter and I have a dishwasher that runs hours! On normal cycle sold as energy efficient. Ha! Maybe if you add rage the times it does not work with the long cycle. And this is normal.

$700 dishwasher started acting up 9 months after purchase. Kept shutting down before going through full cycle. Dishes were very dirty. We called for repair since they would also be there for the second repair on the microwave (bought at the same time). A circuit board was replaced and lasted 4 months before breaking down right before July 4th barbecue with 80 people. I spent the next couple weeks talking with various people. 3 times made it to their executive customer relations level. Was sent two emails confirming a one-time repair as we were now out of warranty. Received a final call informing me they have no one to service the machine, I was out of warranty and they would not service, despite previous agreement to service. So what happens when they sell extended warranties at the point of purchase, if they have no one to service the product? I called an independent service company. They advised me not to have it serviced. States Samsung has chronic problems with their circuit boards. To quote, They make great phones, they should quit there. I will never purchase another Samsung appliance. I spec products for kitchen renovations. You can be sure they will NEVER be on my list!

We purchased the Samsung 24CF counter-depth side-by-side refrigerator in December of 2013 from Pacific Sales in Chatsworth, CA. The unit cost $3149 before tax and we paid an additional $350 for an extended 5 year warranty. Within 6 months, several of the side shelves, which theyd demonstrated as being intended to hold gallons of milk, had cracked or were broken to the point they hung of the door. This was true even of the shelves we used only to hold condiments and smaller, lighter items. Within 13 months, every single door shelf was cracked or broken and the plastic surrounds on the main shelves had cracked as well. The warranty company said the shelves were not covered and Samsungs customer service department said they could not do anything as it was over 12 months since purchase. All they would do was provide me with a number to call so that I could pay for the new interior shelves myself. Given the price of this refrigerator, the quality is really inferior. We had our previous Kitchen Aid refrigerator for over 18 years and nothing inside was broken or cracked when we replaced it. DONT BUY A SAMSUNG.

Samsung SMH9187ST Microwave SE Error - I now have this issue and the microwave has been serviced twice before since 2010. In response to an earlier post, the board is available and can be found easily on the net. What is not available anymore is the entire assembly of the control panel, touchpad, bracket and PCB board. I will attempt to repair this myself by replacing the most likely component of the touchpad for $30.00 or less. I had the unit apart and attempted to clean the sensors. This worked for about 3 hours only to have the error recur. There are a couple of repair videos on YouTube that show you how simple the repair is for the DIYers out there... Im dissatisfied overall, but going forward Ill turn the fan on when cooking where steam rolls upward to the unit and probably use the left front burner area to reduce the hot steam from being right underneath the control panel assembly... Maybe this will reduce the frequency probability in the future.

Bought July 2016. Now 3 1/2 years old. Called because freezer was not freezing while refrigerator still worked. Day before tech came found ice on inside wall of refrigerator. Tech said two problems. Ice on the wall is a little problem. Freezer is big problem. I would have to pay for the little problem and warranty would cover freezer. GREAT worth fixing. Freezer had a Freon leak. Suppose to be covered. After working on and discussing with manager he said they wont warranty it, there are many leaks in copper tubing and corrosion on compression. Said it was due to environmental reasons maybe humidity. Crazy we built our house 30 years ago and put in a Sears Kenmore refrigerator. It lasted 27 years without any repairs, replaced because of color. No leaks. No corrosion. Was still working. My house has copper tubing plumbing. I havent had a leak in 30 years. Other appliances replaced washing machine 1 time during the 30 years and I am on 3rd dishwasher (once to update color once because I tripped and fell on door bending the hinges). In fact I bought the dishwasher around same time as Samsung refrigerator and it is still going. Only the Samsung refrigerator rotted out in 3 years. Not one p problem two problems on this Samsung in 3 years. Search sealant leaks, Freon leaks. You will find it is not uncommon for relatively new Samsung refrigerators.

On Feb 12th 2020, I had a new Samsung Microwave, Model # ME19R7041FS delivered and installed over my range. On May 11th, the microwave turned itself on. By the time I heard the fan running the oven was so hot I could not touch it. None of the controls worked to shut it off so I was forced to unplug it. The Microwave was hot both inside and the outside as well was so hot it not touchable. Fortunately I was home at the time of this incident and was able to unplug it. I cant imagine what might have happened if I had not been at home. I feel that a fire would easily have been the next step. I called Samsung and they said they would not replace the microwave that their technicians would be capable to fixing it. It is now supposedly fixed, however, I am not confident enough to leave it plugged in when I am not here. I unplug it when I am leaving the house. I feel Samsung should have replaced this unit as it was only 3 months old when it malfunctioned. I am seriously considering buying another brand microwave and replacing the Samsung one so that I feel safe.

Bought all new Samsung appliances when we built our house. Stove worked well at first. Liked the rapid boil burner. Right after the extended Lowes warranty expired, the rapid boil burner would go crazy. It was insanely hot no matter what temp you set it on. Burned everything youd try to cook on it. Found the problem, replaced the part. Less than a year later both front burners are doing the same thing. Also used the self-clean oven, enamel came off very badly. Its so damaged I couldnt use it. Top and bottom of the oven look like someone took a grinder to it. Deep gashes. Flaking off. Since its on the top it falls into your food. Noticed today as we were pulling it out to replace with a new range, oven actually has a hole in the bottom. Very expensive Samsung fridge is already starting to freeze items in the back of the fridge. Will never purchase another Samsung appliance. Great TVs, horrible appliances.

I wish I had read these reviews before I purchased my Samsung DMT 400 that the appliance company told me was state of the art. I too have suffered the smell, the failure to drain, and the 50-50 chance that the soap would not dispense. I guess I just tolerated it until the lights started blinking. The company tells me based on the sequence of lights that I have a Low Level Water Error. Of course because the machine is more than a year old, the repair is on me. Even though they can diagnose the problem over the phone, no authorized Samsung repair shop will even give me a rough estimate as to the cost of repair, the cost for a different brand of machine new is about $400...the cost of the service call is $99. Sounds like a no brainer, but I guess this little repair will cost me a couple of hundred dollars and likely the dishes will still stink. No more Samsung appliances ever, its clearly not their core competency.

We purchased our Samsung French door refrigerator (Model #RF263BEAESR) in March of 2013. What a piece of junk and to add insult to injury... poor customer service from Samsung. The unit does not defrost properly on its own. We have been experiencing ice build up behind the back interior panel of the fridge compartment. The ice builds up to such an amount that the fan blades can be heard scraping the ice build up, which is an unpleasant sound along with the motor groaning at times. In addition, we have been dealing with water leaking from the back panel onto the shelves and inside the bins.Contacted Samsung and they arranged for the only authorized service repair company in our area (40 miles away) to contact me. Set up an appointment with them. On the afternoon of the appointment (while Im sitting at home waiting for them during the time block they arranged) they call to cancel. Then when I try to reschedule they keep offering only morning times which I told them I could not do. I got so frustrated with the whole ordeal I simply told them to forget it. Then when I email Samsung with my frustrations they reply with bunch of B.S. that did nothing to correct the problem or stand behind their product. Now after only being 3 years old, I am replacing this giant piece of crap with a new refrigerator because I am so disgusted with Samsung.Go to YouTube and you will see how to videos on how to attempt to fix Samsung refrigerators with the exact same issues we are having. And there are countless horror stories on ConsumerAffairs.com of people having the same issues with their Samsung fridges. Not to mention in 2010 there was a class action lawsuit against Samsung for the exact same issues with some of their fridges. But yet Samsung has the audacity to tell me they are not aware of any such issues with their refrigerators. Funny how the appliance place we purchased our replacement fridge from no longer carries Samsung. Do yourself a favor, steer clear of Samsung for appliances... Period. They are a piece of junk and the company is horrible to deal with.

We bought a Samsung side by side 25.6 CU FT refrigerator on 5-6-10 (serial # JJ5Z4GBZ400545J; model # RS261MDBP). We didnt have it a full year when he had to call for a repair service man to come out because the unit wasnt cooling and all the lights on the panel were all lit up. Something in the panel went out and had to be ordered. Then the last week in December we were having a birthday party and we had a house full of guests and had to buy 6 coolers for the party food as well as all the food we already had and I was never so embarrassed in my life as all my guest had to keep going out in the cold to the coolers for their drinks because the unit wasnt cooling and the freezer wasnt freezing. So I called service department again on January 3rd. After two service appointments, it was determined the mother board had to be replaced. So on 1-17-12 it was replaced and as of 1-21-12 the unit is still not working. I have another service appointment for 1-23-12. I have lost $300.00 in groceries because of this and have to buy ice and use a cooler in January in the winter no less and I have to go to the store daily to buy dinner, which is very costly not to mention very time consuming. I have two elderly and 5 babies under the age of 5 and that is so inconveniencing them as well as the rest of the family members and very costly. This is the absolute worse experience we have ever had. I will never again purchase any Samsung products and will tell everyone about this horrible, embarrassing, very costly experience.

I bought the Samsung French 4 door refrigerator October 29, 2015 but it was not delivered until November 21, 2016. None in stock at Jetsons Appliance Center. In November 4, 2016 I called to question the ice cube maker not making cubed ice and having water come out with the ice. I did what they suggested but no help. Then started the paper and date trail. They did send someone to fix it in Dec. and said that it was out of warranty but would accommodate. The service company has been here 4 times and they are sending them out a 5th time but now say that the warranty starts from purchase date so even though I started this within the year it was in my possession this was the best they can do. Do they really only warranty from purchase date, why pay for their product until installed then?

I brought the Samsung french door refrigerator in 2016. Not even a year later, the ice maker froze up and started making noises. Lowes came and fix it and told us that its not going to have any more problems. Unfortunately, it had the same problem five more times in three years. When I call Lowes to complain, the supervisor was so rude and told me to buy bags of ice to solve my problem. I paid more than $3,000 for this refrigerator and I am really frustrated that this issue has not been recalled. I will never buy another Samsung product again and I am still dealing with this.

I called and Samsung said the warranty has run out so I would have to pay for the repair. I feel the control panel is a faulty design and since the problem reoccurs there is no sense in replacing it. We purchased a Samsung refrigerator two years ago. French doors with a lower freezer drawer and a refrigerator drawer. A week ago, the refrigerator door handle became dislodged with no way to reattach it. We had to call a service rep to fix. Only he cannot. The screws that bolt unto the draw and handle are unique to the Samsung product. Using a standard bolt that is longer wont work. Somehow the threads within the draw have dropped back into the draw itself and there is no way to attach the handles. So, we now have to purchase a whole new draw for nearly $500 including servicing. We will never purchase a Samsung again.

I purchased this Samsung Convection Electric Stove approximately 4 years ago as Samsung received good reports for its electronics and appliances. After about a year of owning it, the rear burners no longer worked on low, the oven light blinked on and off, the oven shuts on and off and the convection fan was working intermittently. Sometimes, there is a ticking noise when I turn the oven on. I called Samsung in the beginning of the malfunctioning and was told my oven was no longer under warranty. This was the 2nd time my Thanksgiving turkey took 7 hours to cook. This product is defective in so many ways and should not be sold by retailers until they remedy all of the complaints appearing on sites such as ConsumerAffairs is remedied.

I, too, am in possession of a Samsung refrigerator with a corroding door. The fridge is 3+ years old and the area below the ice maker is corroding. The refrigerator is black and the spot where it is starting to corrode is very noticeable and is embarrassing to say the least. Obviously it was a really bad design and the door should be replaced. The warranty does not cover the cosmetic issue but I feel this is a workmanship issue that should be covered and is a product that is deficient and Samsung should provide new doors. I have called Samsung twice who told me that I should call the retailer who I purchased the extended warranty from and the retailer told me to call the manufacturer. About 2 years after the purchase, I noticed water collecting and then freezing underneath the large pantry drawer, to the point you cant open that drawer. I have to eventually take that whole drawer out and remove the ice buildup. Samsung wanted to charge me $450 for a service call, and they denied being aware of any problem like this. I purchased a French door refrigerator from Lowes about 15 months ago and I purchased a 5 year extended warranty in case something went wrong with the appliance. After about 14 months the refrigerator went bad and started popping the CGFI plug in the house. After contacting Lowes to request help in support of this issue and try to use the extended warranty I was told that the warranty company refused to help saying that it was our fault the refrigerator was not working. I contacted Samsung to ask for help, they said they can send someone to diagnose the issue but it would cost me additional $165.00 for labor.I agreed to this but the person who was supposed to perform the diagnoses was not even qualified to work on refrigerator and Im sure he was not certified by Samsung to work on their appliances. He blamed us like the Lowes supposed qualified technician that it was our fault that the refrigerator was not working. I have contact both Samsung and Lowes many time without any progress. I have decided not to ever buy anything from Samsung or Lowes. I hope you can learn from my mistake in dealing with well known companies. I can provide receipts if I feel this is going somewhere. I purchased our Samsung French Door Refrigerator from Lowe’s under 2 years ago. Approximately 6 months ago I noticed what looked like possible spaghetti sauce splatter on the front of the fridge and when I went to wipe it off realized it was rust. At the time the refrigerator was approximately 1.4 years old, had been kept inside the entire time and we cleaned as instructed by the Lowe’s employee when it was purchased. We did not purchase the extended warranty but I called the Samsung Helpline thinking they might offer to replace the doors as rusting doors seems like a clear manufacturers defect in my opinion. I was told that this fell under cosmetic issues and therefore there was nothing they could do for us except offer to send a technician to look at it. So, I still have a rusting fridge in my kitchen. Then 3 weeks ago I came down to our kitchen to leave for work to find our kitchen floor absolutely flooded. The ice maker valve had apparently broken causing our water supply to kick water out of the fridge into the kitchen while we slept. The first technician (suggested by Samsung Helpline) could not identify the problem but said he would replace the inlet valve, ice maker and mother board for approximately $450.00. Not to mention we had to pay him $45 simply to come inspect the refrigerator. We chose not to have him touch the fridge since his shotgun approach to the problem did not make sense to us but were out the $45.00. The second technician identified the valve as the problem and between part/labor we paid about $240.00. So far no more floods and the ice maker is still working. We purchased this refrigerator because of its nice appearance and based on our understanding of Samsung’s reputation which I thought would translate to a reliable product - a decision I clearly regret. Im clearly disappointed in Samsung as I had faith their product would be more reliable and/or their service more professional. Im also disappointed in myself because the refrigerator I purchased 15 years from a different company and havent had to put a cent into is purring right along in my garage and regret not showing more loyalty to that company.

We bought a Samsung refrigerator - French doors with freezer drawer on bottom model #RF217ACWP-XAA - in July 2012. What a MISTAKE! It was not even one year old, and the fridge wasnt cooling, the freezer was defrosting, over one inch of water was accumulating in both crisper drawers, and the ice maker stopped working. The fan built up with ice and would make a loud noise until it would freeze up solid. This is happening again for the FOURTH time since 2013! Three different repairmen have been here to fix the problems, and each one found low freon due to leakage. The last repairman who was here said the leaks are due to manufacturer defects, as there were faulty welds in the solder joints in the back of the sealed systems unit. Samsung has not been willing to replace the fridge or refund our purchase price. They refuse to acknowledge that they are selling defective merchandise to consumers. After checking to see that the outlet was hot, I attempted to reset the microwave by leaving it unplugged. Plugged it back in with no results, unless you count nothing happening as a result. This microwave replaced an earlier one from Samsung with the dreaded SE error code that wed had for about 2 years. We got another Samsung because our experiences with 4 Samsung televisions, refrigerator and washing machine had all been good. Bad decision. Ill be replacing this one with a Whirlpool. Im fairly certain that quality has probably been compromised over the past 20+ years, but there was a 3 year old Whirlpool microwave in the house when we bought the house and it didnt get replaced for another 18-19 years. I cant remember, but it may have been replaced because of its outdated styling, not because of any problems. Well see how a 2014 generation Whirlpool microwave holds up.

We purchased a Samsung RF263 in 2011 side by side doors with bottom freezer. Within a few months various parts of the interior began to crack, annoying for such an expensive refrigerator but not fatal. The real problems began when the ice maker began to malfunction. It got so bad that we had it repaired outside of the main warranty this past May and it worked fine for about 8 or 9 weeks and started to malfunction again. After speaking with Samsung today the contracted repair company said that I would have to pay for a new repair to the unit because it was 93 days since the original (outside the 90 day window). Samsung, when I called back were no help at all and of course hid behind their policies. I explained to them and to the repair company that I didnt feel it was fair to have to pay for a repair twice, when the original repair was obviously inadequate. I would recommend never buying a Samsung refrigerator as they are not well made for the price and their customer service is designed to give as little to the consumer as possible. Also, I would advise purchasing an extended warranty on a refrigerator that you pay over $1500 for as one repair costs more than the warranty itself.

I purchased and a 2 door stainless steel refrigerator assembly and in 3 to 5 months we had to replace the ice maker - since then we are on our 4th ice maker. I have had many contacts with Samsung corp, and customer service and now that the unit is out of warranty they now tell me that the repairs will be at my cost - I simply requested a replacement unit for the one that I have. With saying that I have to add that I also have the microwave, oven, smart tv and dishwasher.I have been on the phones with Samsung tech support for hours going over what we are experiencing with their product - they just keep saying now that the unit is out of warranty and that I didnt purchase an extended warranty my request for a replacement unit is and I quote not an option. My question to them is that this problem was existing during the warranty period and 2 ice makers have been replaced during that time. I would think they would have taken that into consideration for it is obvious this problem was pre-existing prior to purchase. I guess their business is stronger than the consumers of their products. They stated to me the only thing they will offer is a one time free repair to the unit and that was the best they could do. I then asked if we have the repair done and 3-5 months again down the road this happens again then what? They said they could say at this time.In other words you just ** out of luck and $1500.00. I wasnt asking for restitution on any type. I just asked for a replacement unit and that was no longer an option because the unit was out of warranty. In closing, I must say I can no longer support the Samsung product. And in closing a message to the Samsung corporation - the definition of great company service is not defined when things are going right. It is defined when things are going wrong!!!!

There are two plastic pieces: one black in the top next to the hinge, another white in the bottom next to the hinges. These parts have the function of toggle-close the doors and unfortunately are not of the right quality. They are each attached to the door with one Phillips screw. If any of them breaks, you get the crack sound. I just removed the one on the bottom right and the problem went away. Your technicians answering the phone should be trained on that and even if the refrigerator was bought more than one year ago, send customers these parts for free. Probably the postage will be more expensive than the parts.

I am very dissatisfied with the range. The burners will not change from fast boil to simmer. Two technicians checked the range stating that there is nothing wrong with the burners. I was told that In order to change temperatures, I must turn the range OFF after using fast boil then turn range BACK ON to simmer! Also the black top is very difficult to keep clean. My previous Whirlpool was not a problem. I regret having purchased the 4-piece package. Even the dishwasher basket is not satisfactory. The microwave enamel chipped after 3 months use. I am very careful with my appliances. After saving for a few years to purchase I am disappointed...
