Samsung Dryer Model DVE50A8600E Error Codes

CODE: do
PROBLEM: Door open
FIX: Begin by cleaning the door switch/lock to remove any lint or residue that is keeping it from closing properly. Use a bit of rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab to clean the connectors. They must make complete contact for the dryer to operate.

CODE: dF
PROBLEM: Door circuit failure
FIX: Unplug the dryer and check for loose or damaged wiring connections in the door/lock switch circuit. Reconnect the wires or replace the wires if they look burned or damaged.

CODE: Od
PROBLEM: Excessive drying time
FIX: Clean the moisture sensor inside the dryer drum with a bit of rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab. If you use dryer sheets, they coat the sensor with residue and extend drying time by tricking the sensor into thinking that moisture is still present.

CODE: FE
PROBLEM: Problem with power supply
FIX: You can test the voltage the dryer is getting with a voltage meter. If the dryer is getting the 60 Hz power it requires, the electronic control board is faulty and must be replaced. This requires a professional. An electrician or your electrical power supplier should check the frequency of your electrical power supply when they come for the repair appointment.

CODE: tS or tO
PROBLEM: Defective temperature sensor (electrically shorted or electrically open)
FIX: Unplug the dryer and use a volt/ohm meter to test the resistance of the temperature sensor or thermistor. If the resistance is more than 40,000 ohms, replace the thermistor.

CODE: hE or HE
PROBLEM: Gas dryer heating error
FIX: Unplug the dryer and reconnect any loose wiring connections on the gas valve coils or replace the wire harness if damaged.

CODE: hE or HE
PROBLEM: Electric dryer heating error
FIX: First, check the circuit breakers in your home's electrical box to see if they have tripped. Reset if they have tripped.

CODE: bE
PROBLEM: Stuck button on the control panel
FIX: Press all the buttons on the control panel to free the stuck button. If the stuck button cannot be freed, replace the user interface control.

CODE: Et
PROBLEM: Control board failure
FIX: Start by unplugging the dryer for five minutes to reset the control board. If the code appears again after you restore power to the dryer, the electronic control board will need to be replaced.

We bought a beautiful looking RF30HBEDBSSR/AA and had nothing but trouble with the ice maker. Samsung will not come up with a solution or stand behind their product. We thought about replacing the ice maker but Samsung has not corrected the problem, so buying a new one will not solve the problem! We have to defrost the freezer the old fashion way, with hot water. We are tired of doing this process because we have to keep the refrigerator doors cracked open so it wont start freezing again. By doing this we have lost perishable goods. We have replaced our Washer and Dryer with a different brand because Samsung wont fix the problem and now we are replacing our refrigerator even though its not that old! Next well replace our range. We started replacing our TVs also. NO MORE SAMSUNG!!!!

Samsung refrigerator RF26X Series Model # RF26XAERS. My wife and I purchased a 26 cu ft Samsung refrigerator french door freezer on the bottom on October 12, 2011. We spent over $3,000 on Friday December 16th, 2016 the freezer & ice maker quit working at the same time. I contacted Samsung about the matter and I was informed that my warranty was expired, the refrigerator came with a 12 month warranty then we added a five-year warranty on top of that. Question is how can it be expired? Its only been 5 years total including the original 12 months that came with the purchase. I would like a full refund. Please dont buy anything from Samsung. Youve been warned.

Ever since we bought the fridge it does not COOL properly, especially during the summer. We purchased the fridge in 2013. We’ve replaced several parts since then. Its hard to get a hold of someone from customer service. We are extremely upset because we spent $2,000 for a fridge that doesnt work & for that price we expect it to work properly. We also bought a used fridge for $175 & it works better than the darn Samsung. (>﹏

I too am experiencing the same problems with my refrigerator as other consumers. I purchased this model in 2012 for $2000 and have had 3 problems so far. First, the water dispenser cracked when I tried getting a glass of water - took Sears 2 months to get the correct part from Samsung. Next, one of the shelves on the door cracked (I live alone so there are no reckless kids in the house). Now I am having my third issue with this 2-year-old refrigerator. Water leaks into the drawers and collects on the floor if I dont get to it right away. It starting making a noise like a train was coming through my kitchen - the dreaded fan problem others have complained about. Had to defrost mine twice already and was told by a representative that this is caused by a poor seal within the doors, and I should remove the seals and reinstall them. I was also told they would supply parts if a service call was made but I have to pay the labor! Isnt that the most expensive part of a repair? What a ripoff - these refrigerators should all be recalled. I think the next step calls for a class action suit against Samsung!

We bought our dishwasher (Samsung stainless DMT610RHS) less than two years
We bought our dishwasher (Samsung stainless DMT610RHS) less than two years ago, in November 2012. Since we bought it, it has leaked (just a small puddle), it often smells, it stopped cleaning the dishes well (the spinner or impeller was blocked) and now the display only shows part of the numbers and the pump doesnt seem to be working. The bottom spinner doesnt spin or have water come out of it- so the dishes dont get clean. The leaking stopped after I cleaned around the seals, or maybe I just moved them as there wasnt really anything there to clean off. We took the spinner out and unblocked it. And just tonight we unscrewed everything at the bottom and cleaned it out. Guess what we found? A plastic part (from the cheap cutlery holders) lodged in the bottom impeller. Now it seems to be working but it is leaking again. And the display still looks funny. Only parts of the numbers light up. I was hesitant to buy Samsung, but my boyfriend paid for it and convinced me that it would be fine. I will never buy anything from Samsung again!! I have been looking for a new oven and always tell the sales person NOT SAMSUNG. Lowes and Samsung both told us that it is past the warranty so we would have to get it serviced. I cant believe they dont stand by their product. I bought a Kitchen Aid dishwasher on craigslist for $50 for my tenants and it is way better than this $600 one.

Had problems since purchase of not cleaning well and premature stopping since purchase 1 1/2 years ago. Now Smart and normal light on washer on, unit doesnt drain or work at all. Tried reset of power. Called Samsung. Talked with multiple people at Samsung. Waste of time. I also purchased Samsung washer, dryer, refrigerator, and stove. All appliances had multiple problems. Bottom line will never buy Samsung product again.

7, yes, 7 Samsung fridges since May 2011 and not one has lasted. Tried side by sides and moved all the way up to 4 high-end French door models on sale for half price due to holidays. I can see why they can sell these lemons for so cheap, because they are junk. Nothing but major issue after major issue. Samsung could care less. My retailer was good, but even they kept saying “no way you could get so many defective fridges.” Oh, yes, I can and did. I have the service records to prove it; not that that means much considering every technician was clueless with no idea how to fix it. So they just try one or two things and when it doesn’t fix anything, they just say: “Defective, can’t be fixed.” And of course that’s only if they actually show up for the scheduled service call. Personally, I think Samsung should pull every model fridge they sell off of store shelves and should not be allowed to sell these obvious lemons to the public unless they learn how to make a fridge that works and one that can be fixed if something goes wrong. Why won’t the govt step in and stop Samsung immediately? Makes no sense that our governing bodies will not or have not yet, stepped in to the picture and make Samsung recall all fridges until they prove they can make a reliable fridge. Samsung’s are lemons, plain and simple, and should not be allowed to be sold to consumers in the U.S. If other countries want Samsung lemons, then that is their choice; but here in the USA, no way should they be allowed to sell these inferior lemons! Never will I ever go near any Samsung product ever again. Was actually looking at a new Samsung HD TV, but no way will I support Samsung or give them another penny of my money ever!

My Samsung range is perfect. Easy to use & clean. If Samsung made vehicles we would probably have one of those too. I like that it has a convection for baking & roasting. I like the self cleaning oven. The only thing I would change is the oven light shutting off every time I open it to check on whats cooking. I could look through the door, but not only am I old, Im old fashioned and prefer opening the door to see if whats cooking is done. Plus sometimes a toothpick, or knife test must be done to check to see if the food is done.

Samsung OTR microwave Model SMH9207st - Wow, where to begin! I believe I bought this microwave in August of 2013. I will explain later why I dont know the exact date. In December of last year I got the dreaded SE code. I called Samsung (after reading all the horrible reviews about my microwave) and told them I was getting the dreaded code. They said since my microwave was over a year old, the warranty had expired and there was nothing they could do. I asked to speak to superiors and went through four of them and they all told me there was nothing they could do. Sooo I threw away the receipt, the owners manual and the mounting screws. He took down the microwave and I told him to take the stupid thing to the dump. Luckily he hadnt done it yet because a couple days later I received an email from Samsung saying that they were going to pay for a one time parts and labor fix.A company called me and set up date and time to come out. The tech came out and noticed that my microwave had scratches in the bottom and said it was a fire hazard and he didnt know if they would fix or not. I have heard online about the glass plate wobbling so maybe that is how it got scratched. They called back and said they ordered a new door and I would have to pay for the coating paint to cover the scratches and also the mounting screws. Tech came out and the door had the wrong connections and wouldnt work. Had to reorder. Came out today, replaced the door in a couple minutes and told me he was through...everything was working...clock, light, etc. As he walked out the door I opened the door and closed it and it DIED! I called him back in and he made a phone call and said he would have to reorder another door! Going on almost three months so far and still no working microwave. Luckily a friend had an OLD $50 microwave that she let me use and it has worked wonderfully! I need to know how to join class action lawsuit. I just want a different microwave! FRUSTRATED!

Samsung fridge has had a problem. Repaired twice for frosting up to 1 on the back wall in the first 3 years of use. Unfortunately I didnt learn my lesson and purchased a Samsung over the stove Microwave from Costco.ca 9 months ago and now it has what seems to be a common problem of not wanting to shut off when the timer is done. Its great that Costco has such a good return policy and I will be returning it and buying another brand. I will never buy another Samsung product again! My Maytag Nautilus washer and dryer are 14 years old with not one problem and a lot of the time used by 2 families. When buying appliances again Ill check to make sure that theyre Made in the USA.

Ever since I got the Samsung dishwasher its been a complete nightmare. The dishes dont clean well at all. My old dishwasher that is over 15 years old that cleans way better. It sucks completely. I called in and all they did is a reboot. It didnt do nothing at all. It still kept cleaning terribly. Then a couple weeks later it stopped working and start making weird sounds. I put in a request to have them look at it since I was still underneath the one-year warranty and they said I would give a call back in 24 hours. I never heard anything for about 72 hours and when I call back to find out why I have not got a call they said somebody cancelled my order? Wow. I was so pissed off. Ive been waiting this whole time to find out that some rep has cancel my order. Then they told me that I can call the number if Id like but I still have to wait another 24 hours for someone to call me again. Its been a nightmare. I doubt theyre going to do anything because its been already a terrible experience.

Purchased Samsung FTQ307 in 2012, extended warranty. After 3 years of wonderful use it burns out the inverter and power control board. Contacted Lowes for warranty and they stipulate its out of warranty. I make the purchase to replace burned out cards. It worked for 4 days and burns out in the same fashion. Contacted Lowes again to verify warranty information and then it was under warranty when it originally broke but is not anymore. Contacted Samsung. The glass-top and internals under the glass-top are cover under a 5 year parts warranty. They honored said warranty and added in the labor too since it originally failed under the extended warranty. Technician came out to repair but did not have all the parts. They were on back order. Samsung placed paperwork in to reimburse cost of parts that I installed and began the process of doing a buy back. A few days later Samsung said they never said they were going to reimburse parts cost and that they were would never offer a buy back. Repair guy came out and repaired the stove. 2 hours later it burned out again. Samsung and the repair company have a 30 day labor and 60 day parts warranty. Samsung has now voided all warranty to everything. All my major appliances are Samsung. I will be selling them all with a different company and will not ever own a Samsung device again. In the whole process of dealing with Samsung, they would say and/or offer one thing and the next day take it back or say it never happened. And with the actual repair company Samsung stated that the technician said it was because it was repaired by my hand that I caused the issue, when in fact they did not say that.

The absolute worst dishwasher I have ever used. Wish I had never bought it! No matter how the dishes are arranged they never all come clean. At least 1 out 4 are still dirty. I now have to soak all the dishes prior to putting them in. Soaking the dishes does not guarantee that they will come out clean. Additionally you will have to clean the area where the water drains each time you use it to prevent Black Mold from growing. If there is a Samsung product in the next home we purchase we will ask for an appliance credit and tell them to take the crap with them. NEVER BUY THIS DISHWASHER!!

We have the same problem that a lot of the consumers had. Our fridge makes this grinding sound that just kept getting louder to the point where it would freak out my dog. We shut it off to defrost whatever ice was built up on the fan and when I yanked the bottom drawer (which by the way is always stuck by the ice built up) a sheet of ice about an inch thick fell on my foot causing a gash on it. Luckily my little Yorkie jumped out of the way otherwise shed be dead. So please be careful when defrosting the damn fridge.

The first thing to go was the defrosting fan made from plastic too small to handle the big refrig French doors, that cost me $254.00. The next was the ice maker, another piece of plastic broke, another $254 to get that fixed. Now the refrig is building up ice again which means I will be defrosting my refrig with my hair dryer. I will not purchase a product made by Samsung again. One of the components went in the microwave, I only use it for defrosting and heating water, another wonderful product by Samsung. I understand from the repairman that many parts are being used in many refrigerators. I also own a stove made by Samsung. Im waiting for it to break. Add me to the list of very unhappy Samsung microwave customers. I had the same problem as everyone else in the same time frame. After just 2 years, the Samsung Microwave SMH9187b started beeping and flashing the SE error code. Samsung was no help, telling us to turn off the breaker. It never reset itself. Then they said they would cover the repair if it was the display but not if it was the box (brain) of the microwave. When I asked how we would know which it was, they said you wont until the repair people came out. Calling repair, they said it would be a minimum of $70 visit fee and $90 for the part. So that would be at least $160. Repair also said it is not the display, that the SE code means more than that. Im very disappointed with Samsung and am now looking for a new microwave. Anyone has any recommendations?

Bought Samsung french door fridge August 2014. Have had nothing but problems with the ice maker. Repairman has been out numerous times. The last time Sears sent one, he said my ice maker was working as it was suppose to! I am going to call them again and have them come out. It drops ice once every 4 or 5 hours, I dont think that is right. The ice container has never been full and I am the only one using ice and I am gone 9 hours a day! I still buy a bag of ice every 3 or 4 days to fill the ice maker. I am sorry I bought this appliance. Because they obviously are not going to do anything to fix it properly.

I bought a Samsung SMH9187 microwave in November 2010 and on 9/2/12, it spontaneously beeped and showed the dreaded SE code that so many have written about. I tried to cycle it per the instructions by unplugging the unit with no result. The keypad was dead. I called Samsung service who were less than helpful. They could not find an authorized repairman anywhere nearby and I live in a major metropolitan area. After spending about 4 hours trying to find a local repair person who works on Samsung with no luck, I called Samsung again and pressed very hard for a repairmans name in my area. They finally found only one. He, fortunately, was quite helpful over the phone, but so far away that he would not do the repair. He told me that the part number is DE94-02001C and is available for about $52 at Sears Parts Direct and mentioned that anyone handy with computers could make the repair. I was about to go that route when I found these posts and tried the quick fix of holding the Stop/Clear and Start buttons together - and so far, so good. Meanwhile, I would advise anyone considering a purchase of this unit to be sure there is a Samsung repairman nearby before purchasing. The microwave is clearly not reliable based on the number of keypad failures mentioned here within the first 15-36 months. Planned obsolescence and poor service to boot.

We purchased this Samsung Refrigerator at Sears. It was one of the more expensive refrigerators in the store. We paid about $2500. Its junk from day one. Noisy. And the ice maker clogs and jams. And ice forms on the back and gets so noisy we cant stay in the same room as the machine. And when the Sears repair people come to fix it all they can say is that they are not very good machines, and they dont make them liked they used to. The junk will be off the warranty soon. I think its criminal that they dont recall the machine. Samsung stole $2500 from us and cost of many hours of not being able to use our house and having to stay home for the doctor to come, only to say its a chronic & terminal condition. I have nothing good to say about Samsung.

On March 10, 2012, we purchased a French door black counter depth refrigerator 17.8 cu ft model rf197acbp. About a month ago, we noticed water in the bottom of the fridge - I thought maybe someone spilled something. I cleaned it out with 4 bath towels, and now it’s filling up again. I called Samsung and was treated with “what do you want me to do about it” attitude - you’re two or 3 months past warranty - it’s your problem. I asked him if he heard anything about this problem before and he said, never, I was the first. But I was horrified when looking at this site. Come on. Are there not laws protecting us from 1-year appliances? The last refrigerator was 22 years old, cheap and an Amana. The government should be forcing a class action lawsuit for a product they know is bad and still selling them every day. The worst thing is, they dont seem to have a fix - to me, that is lemon law. The government should step in and force a recall or stop the import!!

They are the worse company to deal with and their service company is even worse. They keep you online forever and hang up on you. I bought model RF28JBEDBSG less than 2 and a half years ago. For paying over $2000, you would think its going to be an excellent appliance. Since day one, we hated the ice maker. Barely makes any ice. But little by little the ice maker freezes up and the ice blocked up. So we started buying bagged ice. So to fix it, we unload the refrigerator and let the ice melt so we can get into the ice machine to remove the ice. This has happened multiple times even Christmas eve dinner. So I researched the problem and realized there are thousands of people with the same problem along with a class action lawsuit for the same issue Im having. Then someone mentioned the temperature not regulating properly. So I got a thermometer and seen that I have it set for 34 degrees and the temp inside was 20 to 44 degrees that I have seen with my own eyes. Over 40 degrees is unsafe for food. They are giving some people a horrible time getting a fix or even a refund. DONT BUY!!!!

Range NX58H5600SS: Bad experience with this range. I was smelling gas and I call my gas company, I have warranty with them. I was so mad because its been over 3 weeks trying to resolve this problem, I spent like $800 on this range. They told me Samsung dont make this part any long or its on back order. Now I think I have to buy a new stove. I will not be buying this brand. Customer service is horrible. I have this stove less than 2 years. I had another old stove which lasted over 20 years and no problems. I am very frustrated. Why would they discontinue a parts and the stove is still selling in stores.

I never take time to write a review so please take the following seriously. This is the worst purchase I have made. The ice machine constantly freezes and creates an ice dam making it impossible to operate. The customer service is non-existent. The warranty is worthless. If you value your time and your money look elsewhere, do not be tempted by pricing. Not only would I not purchase another Samsung product, I wouldnt take one if it was given to me for free. I bought a Samsung RF217ACRS refrigerator in Sept of 2010. In short it was a lemon from the day we bought it. The ice maker immediately had to be repaired, then shortly after that replaced. We were also experiencing water leaking into our crisping drawers spoiling our vegetables as it pooled up to 1/2. The repair person that came to replace the ice maker made a guess as to what was happening and did a nonstandard repair in the back panel where the water runs down to fill the ice trays. He fixed it temporarily. The last time our ice maker was replaced was February of 2012 and here we are once again with a broken ice maker and water pooling in our crisping drawers 1.5 years later and Samsung will do nothing for us. I am an interior designer and have been specifying appliances for homes for over 20 years, and will never recommend nor purchase from Samsung again.

This is an update to my previous post on my 3 and 1/2 year old fridge that quit working. I filled out a form from the Samsung site on the issue with the fridge and got a stock *received* form type letter back on the 18th. There was no mention of repairs, how to handle the problem, or if they were going to do anything. When I was on their website, it said the fridge was out of warranty and when I searched for appliance repair dealers, I got 0 results back. After reading pages of complaints all over the web with the same issues (bad ice makers, and the cooling issue), we decided we would not throw good money after bad in trying to fix it. We bought a new top rated GE (which will be delivered next month as we wanted a very specific model) and on 12-23, Lowes hauled the broken Samsung off (to the dump I guess). After the fridge was gone, later that evening, we get a UPS delivery of an envelope with a generic return address. We have no idea who sent it, instructions, nothing but a part; a temperature sensor that plugged into something. So I google the address and find its a Sears warehouse. I call them and they look up the order number and say its a Samsung part. So, I get a temp sensor, no idea it was even being sent from Samsung who when I look at my account online with my complaint, says the action was cancelled by **me** on 12-18. To say this whole thing has been frustrating is a big understatement. In fact, I am not sure a new sensor would have even fixed the problem from what I have been reading all over the internet.

The knobs on this stove are easily turned on if you accidentally rub up on the knob. I have done it 3 times and my son has done it a couple of times as well. The knobs are located right at the front of the stove on an angle where if you accidentally rub or bump the knobs, it turns on. I have to make sure nothing is on the stove because it will burn the house down if we leave the house and the knobs are accidentally turned on. Very dangerous stove, shame on Samsung for making such a hazardous stove!

I have had my Samsung French door Twin cooling Refrigerator for a little more than a month. When cleaning and polishing it I noticed pin size rust spots that are barely visible to the eye. However when I spoke with Samsung they said I should of noticed them when the fridge was deliver. We did look over the appliance for scratches, dents, and marks but these spots are the size of the point of a pin and can not be seen until you are up very close which I was today when I was polishing the doors. Since it is a Cosmetic problem Samsung will do nothing.Goemans Appliances where I purchase my Appliances for my new home said to try Stainless Steel Cleaner. I will do that, I sure hope it works. When I hung up the phone from Samsung I went to the internet to see what I could do. It is frightening what can happen with these tiny spots if you do not get them under control. My advice do not buy Samsung. They do not stand behind their products. Goemans Appliances do not service their products and most of all DO NOT BUY SS APPLIANCES. We bought a Samsung stove - Model #NX58H5600SS and a microwave model #ME18H704SFS in May 2015. The stove overnight started beeping and now showing an error code SE. The Microwave has been making a weird buzzing sound for over a year (seems like something is broken inside). After the stove issue we decided to call Samsung and they basically told us our warranty for the stove is for one year and microwave if it’s magnetic issue then the warranty is for 10 years but you have to pay for labor in order to fix the issue. However, we have no idea what the issue is. I can’t believe that after having these items for less than 3 years we already have issues. I’m very disappointed that we purchased these products and would tell anyone not to buy it since they are crap products! Before remodeling our kitchen we had a stove that lasted years not just for three years. Ridiculous!!!! So now I have to get a service person to come and fix it. Stop selling crap products.

February 24, 2016 - Purchased Samsung Microwave OTR Oven ME18H704SF. March 9, 2016 (Approx) Hung on wall and attached Microwave to newly install Kitchen Cabinet. March 15, 2016 - We were using the microwave for the 3rd time when it malfunctioned. The Internal electrical magnetron mechanism behind display overheated and cut a hole on the right side of the cooking box and started a fire. At the time this happened my wife was cooking a package of microwaveable veggies on the turntable. Cooking instructions were to microwave for 5 minutes on High. When there was about 1 minute left in the cycle my wife noticed a small fire on the inside of the unit. She opened the door and put out the fire. I opened the cabinet above the microwave and unplugged the unit from the wall.March 15, 2016 - Sent email to Samsung through their website with my info, Microwave info and the information above and below: We can no longer trust this unit in our home. Please send appropriate individual to pick up unit. Please send check for purchase price of unit in the amount of $263.74 to the following address. (Home). The Unit can also be picked up at the same address.March 18, 2016 4:50 PM. We received voicemail from Samsung-Canada notifying me that a serviceman will be out to fix Microwave on March 23, 2016. March 18, 2016 6:30 PM. I called Samsung-Canada and told them again that we do not want a service call. They should pick up unit and refund the purchase price to us. [Transferred to 2nd Customer Service individual, Carlton] I told him again that we do not want a service call. Samsung should pick up unit and refund the purchase price to us. He said he noted that in my report and someone will call me on the weekend or Monday 3/21/2016. March 20, 2016 12:00 PM. Received call from Samsung-Canada [Andre] from Executive Customer Relations Department I told him again that this unit is a Out-of-Box failure. We do not want it repaired. We will no longer have a microwave in our house. Pick up unit and refund purchased price. Andre said a serviceman needs to evaluate unit and determine that if it is repairable or defective. I told him, It started a fire, its defective. March 22, 2016 - Samsung sent a Technician from Local Appliance Service to evaluated. He said it was the magnetron and the unit should be junked. Unit was taken to shop for complete review & evaluation. April 4, 2016 - Called Local Appliance Service to request status on Microwave. Lady said she believed it was finished and that she would call me back. Received call back and set up delivery for Wednesday April 6, 2016. (Samsung decided to repair unit).April 4, 2016 - Received call from Samsung-Los Angeles 310-669-4261, she asked about a schedule change to Saturday. I told her that Local Appliance Service called me with a delivery date and I changed it from Tuesday to Wednesday. Then I told her we would not be using the Microwave Oven and I would search out other avenues for getting rid of this defective product. (She did not like what I was telling her and quickly ended the call.) April 6, 2016 - Local Appliance Service delivered Samsung Microwave with new Magnetron, Controller & Capacitor. Magnetron overheated and turned into an out-of-control Laser Gun packing 3,000-5,000 VDC with each Punch. CONCLUSION OF MY ESSAY: My wife and I never want this unit to be installed into any home. Reason being I know that the replacement parts were the same part numbers as the parts in the original unit and have an excellent chance of repeating history.

My Samsung microwave oven was purchased about 4 years before a move across several counties and lasted there about 6 more years. The oven was dark, rated about 1000 watts, and always cooked at an even pace. A bag of popcorn at 3.5 Oz. was usually cooked at 2 minutes, any more scorching the bag. My family used the dinner dish recook setting often. Some dinner plates were frozen while others were not, but the oven cooked them to a nice & hot serving temperature. The oven worked well daily until that final day when it quit for good. We replaced it with another Samsung microwave oven.

We recently purchased a group of samsung appliances at lowes. In new lenox illinois. Within one week the dishwasher flooded our kitchen with water. The lowes corporate claims office approved a company paul davis to tear out the damaged kitchen. They did that and dried out the kitchen after waiting three weeks. The lowes corporate claims handler jill ** approved this work. Then after all was torn out and dried she called us and told us lowes is not covering our damage. This is truly a scam. She said they found a piece of glass in the drain hose. Remember this machine only ran a few times in a week. Well needless to say they will not fix my kitchen. They offered to pay for the litigation and the deductible but I need to use my own insurance! Can anyone help me on how to proceed? Very upset and will never tell anyone to use lowes or Samsung again! If anyone can help please let me know. Thanks.

Within months of purchasing my RF23J9011SR counter depth 4 door fridge...ice maker stopped working. I defrosted it several times and it did work but you can hear the gear (auger) clicking. Then 1.5 yr later, it completely stopped working. I believe the design is flawed as the ice maker sits in the refrigerator section and not the freezer area. Having different temperatures, plastic gears, etc...are probably the root cause. We purchased a complete package of Samsung appliance for our new home on October 2013 and they got installed by end of November 2013. Thinking that Samsung had a good reputation for other electronics the decision was made without hesitation. Well that was a mistake. First the refrigerator ice maker started to make continuous noises, and the middle drawer got stuck every time you try to closed. Both issues where fixed under warranty. Then, surprise it was the dishwasher turn to break. It started to not dry and show an error s5, which meant that was not draining properly. I called Samsung and they say that it was out of warranty. I was a month too late meaning it only lasted 13 months. An appliance that gets used maybe 3 times a week and cost over 550.00 plus tax, however they did offer a extended warranty for an additional cost, Of course. My thoughts about this, I will not pay extended warranty. I will not repair the Samsung dishwasher, since I know it will break again and I will not buy a Samsung product again. Maybe we need to start buying American again (At Least The Name). Lets make sure that the word gets around that Samsung is not what they seem to be. They know that the dishwasher they make have a lots of problems and complaints and they do nothing.

Samsung Counter Depth Smart French Door Refrigerator - We purchased our refrigerator in February of 2017. The icemaker performs terribly. This is definitely not a family refrigerator. The icemaker does not even produce enough ice for just the two of us. Sometimes it does not produce any ice at all for no apparent reason. There are other times when it is just slow. It is simply not consistent. The best way to make sure you have ice with this refrigerator is to use ice trays. I can have 16 cubes of ice per tray in 30 minutes as opposed to waiting hours if I depend on the ice maker. I would not purchase this refrigerator again if I could go back and do this all over again.

It stopped cooling 7 days ago and my wife and I have been taken on a journey of phone calls and multiple transfers to Samsung executive support staff all resulting in a cowardly This service ticket has been cancelled email that came through last night. We paid for an Samsung authorized repair technician to troubleshooting the unit. I was hoping the issue would be something simple and they could fix it. The service tech stated that the issue was with the compressor and would cost around $800-1200 in labor to repair. But, great! That part (and labor to repair) is still under warranty so we call up Samsung and spend a total of 12 hours over the course of 3 days on various phone calls, speaking to support reps. There are 3 authorized Samsung service centers in our area. The one that came out, refuses to perform the repair work because they are overbooked. The second refuses to come out because another repair provider has already looked at the unit. The third does not have someone that can perform closed system compressor work. So in the end, no one will fix our Refrigerator and Samsung just closed the ticket and left me a voicemail stating the ticket is closed. The end. This whole process feels extremely shady. I think they are trying to force us to just give up and go buy a new fridge. Dont buy Samsung products. If you have, good luck with warranty repairs.

I bought my Samsung fridge (# RS261MDWP) new March 2011, from Sears. I have had to have the LED light replaced last year. I ordered the part myself and had a repairman put it in. I did not buy an extended warranty and reading all the other comments, makes me think I made a fair decision. I see neither Samsung nor Sears are standing by their product. Now the fan (which moves the cold air from the freezer to the fridge) is making a terrible noise. I called the same repairman and he said I needed to replace the fan, and ordered the part. It will cost $250 approx. to do the repairs. Since I made that call, my neighbor told me the fan will stop making noise intermittently. It is in the quiet phase now. I did not call the repairman back to replace the fan, as I think he wants to make a fast buck. If I end up having to replace the fan, I may as well buy a new fridge, as other comments lead me to believe I am on the cusp of more repairs needed. I understand there is a civil lawsuit pending? Please help me find where I can add my name to the list of dissatisfied owners. Thank You.

We bought an Appliance package last October from Bill Smith Appliances. I am very dissatisfied with the Electric range. It has serious safety issues. The knobs that turn off the range top, turn very easily as when someone walks by it, or if I reach up and brush the knob, the stovetop goes on and heats up the glass. I have done it many times. Recently, the stovetop went on, without turning it on, and burned a plastic bowl that sat on the top of the stove. Im afraid that it will cause a fire, or burn someone not knowing it was on. I am very unhappy with the Samsung products and would not recommend them to anyone. Very dangerous! There was also a promotion for buying the appliance for $350 off the total cost. RF26 French Door Fridge - Purchased at Home Depot for my rental house and I
RF26 French Door Fridge - Purchased at Home Depot for my rental house and I took delivery on August 2015. The price was right but a previous experience with a Samsung fridge (since replaced with GE model) made me buy a 5 year extended warranty for this unit. Glad I did, but in the end the result will be the same. I eventually gave my first 2012 problem counter-depth fridge (RF19) away as I could not in good conscience sell it with THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM I AM HAVING WITH THIS NEWER MODEL!!! A sheet of ice forms under both crisper drawers. I know Im an idiot for taking a chance on Samsung again. Why you may ask... Call me foolish, I wanted to believe they had 5 years to improved their obvious design flaws. Why wouldnt they with so many of these same complaints?? First time shame on Samsung, this time shame on me!! (And maybe Home Depot.) Ill call Asurion and start the process of disappointment. I know what to tell the tech guy when he arrives. There will be no talk of ordering thermostats or other expensive parts or any of that nonsense. Just like I learned on a YouTube video following the first incident. Ill instruct the tech to carefully remove the cover of the twin cooling tower they call it. Then detach the cable harness and swing it out of the way. I wont actually do the work cause that would void my extended warranty. Ill just help with the hair dryer to defrost the frozen water in the center of the drain tray at the bottom of the heater (defroster) elements. The tiny hole the water is supposed to be able to escape thru is no bigger than the diameter of an ink pen refill. The solution is take a scrap piece of copper wire, say 14 gauge and wrap it several times around the heater bar and send it down the center of the tiny hole. This wire then helps transfer the heat directly to that point that freezes up. Reassemble and good to go. At least it worked on that fridge for over 1 year, then the problem came back. Like the guy on YouTube said, it works for while, then repeat as often as necessary. By this time I had learned a trick on how to keep the dripping water out of the food drawers and ruining my veggies (stand a sponge upright behind the drawers). That way all I had to do was check for the ice sheet under the drawers ever week or two, and chuck that ice in the sink. I was willing to put up with no loss of food as an improvement in my situation, resigning myself to the fact that I would not be replacing my home unit with any model of Samsung, even if it were FREE. Samsung was no help at all with the first fridge problems. Reading these comments here, it would seem that that hasnt changed at all. So my lesson learned is similar to others here, I will NEVER EVER purchase ANY Samsung appliance in the future. Also, what I will do different this time is I will file a complaint with the BBB against Home Depot, I wish all the commenters here that say class action this, or the government should do that would take a similar approach. I think this formal complaint action is one that may eventually lead to consumer protection laws being invoked against these thieves who refuse to stand behind their products.

We purchased our Samsung refrigerator model # RFG297AAPN, the really large, 2 door bottom freezer. We had ice maker problems right away. The ice comes out and sprays as the shoot is very large and the ice seems to build up somewhere and when you ask for ice you get quite a bit of water. Samsung sent out a repair tech who replaced the ice maker. It still does the same thing. We have had water build up and freeze under the bins. We have a home warranty that covers the refrigerator but not the ice maker. They fixed the leak but the ice maker still gives water with ice. It is a large refrigerator which is great but customer service at Samsung is hard to deal with.

This dishwasher is awful. It needs to be repaired once a year. It really doesnt wash the dishes very well. You have to wash everything before it goes into the dishwasher. It has many features but it runs way too long (3 hrs.) & you cant turn off the dry cycle. Regular size dishwasher. Its stainless steel & very attractive, but it doesnt wash well so who cares how nice it looks. Fortunately I have an extended warranty. If I didnt, I would have replaced this dishwasher by now.

I did a kitchen remodel in December 2013. I bought all new appliances and was really impressed with the Samsung Dishwasher DW80F600UTS/AA model. In just over a year of having it installed, the dishwasher would stop after about 20 minutes and the delicate light would flash. I called Samsung and they said it was my drain line. I had someone come out and check my drain line, but that was not the problem. I called Samsung again and explained my situation. I was told that if I used their service center and if it was deemed Samsungs fault it would be repaired. I agreed and paid $110 for the service company to come to my house. He told me that the motherboard has gone out in all of these models but usually within the year. Since I am a single person and dont wash dishes as much as most families it just took it a little longer.I called Samsung again after they received his report and basically was offered to buy a extended warranty. When I refused, I was offered for the part to be paid for but not the installation. Customer Service is horrible. Every time I called they said I would get a phone call regarding their customer service but as of today there has been no phone call - guess they really dont care. Its a shame that they dont stand behind their product - if the motherboard had been replaced in this model I should have received something within the year of buying it stating there was a problem and they were willing to replace it. Car manufacturers recall their product when they see a problem and is willing to repair/replace product.

I contacted Samsung immediately, they informed me that a repairman would be in touch soon. Two days later Samsung contacted me to say they did not have any repair people to assist us, but that they would refund our refrigerator and also for our food loss. It took months to get out refund we also never received food compensation loss. Customer service was incompetent and not knowledgeable of our situation. Stay away from Samsung products because when they stop working for whatever reason the company will not help you. Trust me this has been a horrible experience.

Samsung stove burners are defective!!! Once burners are utilized on high, you cannot turn down burner to low to keep food warm - you must remove pan from burner, turn burner completely off and wait for heat to dissipate before putting back on low and returning pan to burner. You cant walk away for any length of time as pans burn on high!! I am buying a coil burner to cook on as All stoves are built this way. Make sure if you are buying new to get a coil or old fashion stove rather than glass top - although they look great and clean easy, they SUCK!!!

After dealing with Samsung for 4 weeks on the phone (could not hear us -- they keep hanging up and they keep saying the wrong email address, and no one spoke English) they claim that our 1 1/2 old stove is not covered for labor only parts. This is clearly a manufacturer defect and no one will help us. I have all Samsung in our home, everything from phones to the washer and dryer. I will never, ever buy Samsung again. Again like many of you who have Samsung french door bottom freezers, mine is now 2 year old and my freezer door will not shut properly because of the accumulation of ice in the bottom floor of freezer. So now in the fall and winter every several months I have to take out the top tray of the freezer and crack the ice behind it, wait till it falls on the floor and then clean it up, then the drawer will close. I have done everything they have told me to try and resolve this problem. Now I guess the next step is to call a repair facility to correct a design flaw of Samsung. I wonder if there is a class action lawsuit out there against Samsung. I would like to get in on it! I have already told many people not to purchase Samsung.

I have owned a Samsung French door, bottom freezer, model RF197ACWP for a year and a half and have had pooling of water under and inside the crispers and a layer of ice forming in the bottom of the freezer. This is apparently a common problem with this model, a manufacturing defect. I have never experienced any issues with any refrigerators I have owned in such a short period of time. The last refrigerator I owned lasted 15 years without problems and the one before that 20 years! Also, just after a year with this inferior product, the white door handles started to peel, exposing polished chrome or steel. I thought the cosmetic damage was the worst of my complaints! Little did I know. I will not consider buying Samsung products again, as its customer service is unresponsive in addressing complaints.

The top basket looked like it had been jammed into the bracket during the manufacturing process; the left side metal arm that the roller sat on was bent so it didnt fit onto the bracket and the other roller was broken. I called Samsung and they told me I had to purchase another roller even though I explained to them it was brand new. I had heard about their poor customer service thru a friend of mine that had purchased a refrigerator for her retired parents. It took Samsung over a month and a half to repair that brand new refrigerator (which in the meantime meant they had to rent a replacement at their expense). In good faith we purchased a Samsung refrigerator in June 2013 from Home Depot. We purchased the extended warranty - we have had use this warranty for repairs over 10 times in under 5 years. On May 5 2018 the entire cooling system failed. I lost a ton of food and had to eat out every day. The repair guy fixed / replaced the cooling system on May 14 2018. Just for the cooling system to fail again on June 1 2018 less than 2 weeks after the fix / repair - this has left me with no freezer and no refrigerator - this unit is now deemed irreparable (it is a sitting duck not working) and I am now left with no way to keep anything cold or frozen while your process takes its sweet time. I have lost over $1000 worth of food and this is not even taking into account the food I need to buy each day for my family just to live, as I cannot keep anything cool or frozen!I was told I need to wait 10-12 days before an RMA is issued from June 5th 2018 - how long after that will it take to get an actual unit! This means I am now 2 months without any way to keep fresh food. I am beyond frustrated. I called today your company on 6/12/2018 just to be told I will receive a refurbished one. Well isnt my new one that was repaired on May 14 2018 considered refurbished? I do not want a refurbished unit. This is so unacceptable as we are suffering not the paper pushers and the approvers. Why does this process take so long? We are out $100 and $100 of dollars in food that we dont have the money to spend so that just means we are going into debt for this hassle. I feel I am being held hostage by your company and slowness to respond. This has been a horrible year with family deaths and now I have to deal with this situation. I have a medical dog who can only eat fresh food due to kidney failure as kibble is too drying for her. So the stress of keeping her alive without cooling is horrid.

Even if the price is higher than average, the quality and convenience add a lot of attractiveness. Microwave parts (like the plate, for example) are replaceable across different models. Samsung microwaves usually don't require reading the documentation - the interface is intuitive. I can make an emphasis the quality: reliability and quality of materials - I never experienced any issues like rusty parts over the long usage, etc. Warranty (even if I never used it) from Samsung adds some confidence in product quality. So far, I had no issues with the products of this company. Highly recommended Samsung microwaves and other kitchenware!

Called Samsung technician to repair leaking refrigerator. Every time it went into defrost mode it would leak water, a little when I first purchased it, then much worse. Refrigerator is nearly two yrs old, so is out of warranty. I am a retired Engineer, so did some reading and found the problem to be a smaller than required heat sink (Samsung calls it a drain clip). This heat sink is suppose to keep the defrost drain from frosting up. Took technician 30 minutes to replace this part with the correct size. Per tech, he gets a lot of this work. Here is my problem, should a company like Samsung be charging the consumer for their design flaw? The cost was $173, part cost was $10 dollars.Called Samsung ECR (Executive Customer Rep), explained that this was not a repair or a fix, but a correction to a design flaw. I thought Samsung would want to stand behind their product, but all she would say was that it was out of warranty. The model # RF263BEAESP/AA. There must be thousands of these out there with this known design flaw. I hope this review helps someone if they are looking for a new refrigerator. Needless to say, I wont be buying any Samsung products in near future.

UPDATED: 3/31/2021: I purchased a condo 8/8/2020 in Pasadena that had been remodeled by the seller with brand new Samsung appliances all purchased 1/30/20. Delivered 2/01/2020. I called Samsung warranty Nov and Dec 2020 about the ice maker making horrible noises. They told me I was under warranty and that the ice maker had been recalled for RF24R7201SR/AA, payment of 1979.99 from Best Buy with receipts in hand. It took Samsung three service visits, months later to not be able to remedy the extreme noises while replacing the entire ice dispenser. They then informed me that now I was out of warranty and they would only offer me 1800.00 and for me to remove my warranty sticker to send to them. They informed me that Best Buy would now not swap the unit out because I was a few months off warranty but I was under warranty when I called and it was first serviced with this issue. I then reached a gentleman at Samsung March 25th at 10:05 am, call was recorded, and I was told that they changed their minds and that they have these refrigerators on hand through Samsung despite Best Buy not being able to help me. I asked him if he was sure because the previous calls insisted on sending me money for a devalued amount at 1800.00. He assured me that the call was sincere. I then called back 3/29/2020 and of course was told that that deal didnt exist for me and again only to take the 1800.00 offer. Calling them is like calling another planet of incompetent employees who hardly speak English at all and have no clue whats really going on. It is the worst company that I have ever dealt with in my life and my whole home is filled with Samsung appliances. Soon to be replaced with LGs when these stop working because Samsung has horrible customer service and treat their high paying clients like garbage.ORIGINAL REVIEW: The worst experience ever! Calling Samsung’s 800 number for warranty issues is like calling another planet of people so unqualified and unhelpful. I purchased a 2500 refrigerator 1/2020. Delivered by Best Buy in 2/12/2020 and the ice maker was making horrible sounds 9/2020, 10/2020, 11/2020. I called while it was under warranty and they promised I caught it in time. After they attempted to resolve the issue and couldn’t we entered into 2021 year and they changed their minds telling me they could no longer swap it out with Best Buy because it was out of the year 2020 timeframe. Despite telling me while I called in 2020 that I was protected as long as I presented the purchased receipts that I did! They are only offering me a low prorated amount of 1800 and to remove the warranty sticker. That’s just insane customer service when my whole home has Samsung products. I can’t even believe this company and I will never buy another Samsung again.

In 2015 I purchased a new Samsung electric range, dishwasher, fridge, washer & dryer from HHGREGG. I decided, because it was a large purchase, to opt in for the 5 year warranty on the oven, washer, and fridge which was through WarranTech. During the 4 years we had the oven I needed to be repaired 3 times. All separate issues. The last repair needed was due to the broiler element basically exploding, catching fire, and melting. We called the service plan and they had a repairman come out. He said he would order the new part and someone would contact me to schedule a repair. No one called after a week. I contacted WarranTech and was told they were reimbursing me for the current value minus the repair costs, so like $350. What!!!The washing machine was recalled due to the top becoming loose and possibly detaching. I was reimbursed the full purchase price. The fridge had countless issues with the ice maker which eventually was not repairable. I was reimbursed the current value minus the repair costs. I find it ridiculous that I spent thousands of dollars for appliances that became useless within 2-4 years. My $2000 fridge and $1000 oven are junk and yes I was reimbursed some money but I still paid a lot for essentially a broken appliances. It’s horrible and I would hate for anyone else to have to deal with this headache.
