CODE: do
PROBLEM: Door open
FIX: Begin by cleaning the door switch/lock to remove any lint or residue that is keeping it from closing properly. Use a bit of rubbing alcohol on a cotton swab to clean the connectors. They must make complete contact for the dryer to operate.

CODE: dF
PROBLEM: Door circuit failure
FIX: Unplug the dryer and check for loose or damaged wiring connections in the door/lock switch circuit. Reconnect the wires or replace the wires if they look burned or damaged.

CODE: Od
PROBLEM: Excessive drying time
FIX: Clean the moisture sensor inside the dryer drum with a bit of rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab. If you use dryer sheets, they coat the sensor with residue and extend drying time by tricking the sensor into thinking that moisture is still present.

CODE: FE
PROBLEM: Problem with power supply
FIX: You can test the voltage the dryer is getting with a voltage meter. If the dryer is getting the 60 Hz power it requires, the electronic control board is faulty and must be replaced. This requires a professional. An electrician or your electrical power supplier should check the frequency of your electrical power supply when they come for the repair appointment.

CODE: tS or tO
PROBLEM: Defective temperature sensor (electrically shorted or electrically open)

PROBLEM: Stuck button on the control panel
FIX: Press all the buttons on the control panel to free the stuck button. If the stuck button cannot be freed, replace the user interface control.

CODE: Et
PROBLEM: Control board failure
FIX: Start by unplugging the dryer for five minutes to reset the control board. If the code appears again after you restore power to the dryer, the electronic control board will need to be replaced.

I purchased Model number RF263AEWP and we have been dealing with ice in the fridge under the crisper drawers. Samsung has not fixed this issue and it appears to be affecting a larger number of their refrigerator. I am disappointed in that I thought I was purchasing from a reputable company, but in viewing the number of complaints and the large number of models affect, I will no longer purchase Samsung products!

I bought My dishwasher last April but I received it in June. It was working good for few months till 1st week of Jan 2022. It showed code PC and stopped working. I called Samsung because I was still in company guarantee. The Tech came 3 weeks later. Its been more than 3 months. They send the Tech to my house to change one part each time. I send them letter and call them, They never call you. I was told they can just repair and they cant exchange or refund. I dont need to tell them I need functional dishwasher. They know but they dont care. I am working and I can accept the Tech in my house just on Saturday. I am waiting quiet every Saturday for Tech, till now they changed more than 5 parts. Do not buy their product.

In approx May 2015 we purchased the Samsung RFF18HFENBSR French door refrig/bottom freezer from Home Depot. Our renovations got delayed so we did not start using it until August. I gave it one star because it looks and fits great but the following year (after the warranty was over) multiple things started happening. First no ice, then water in right crisper and water under both crispers freezing up. I went online and this has been a problem with Samsung refrigerators, many models, for years. I didnt call them because after researching they were not even returning calls to those that had warranties. All I can say to those shopping, absolutely do not purchase their refrigerators. This is a continuing problem. I have to call a repair guy but more annoying is it may possibly be a simple fix. There is a problem with the heating coil not keeping the water from freezing in a little hole. So their fix was a metal piece that doesnt quite reach the hole too short so it wasnt a fix after all. So water freezes in the hole, then no ice, water in right crisper and water under both crispers that freezes. It also creates frost in the freezer and food in the refrigerator freezing. But now I have to pay god knows how much money for a repair guy, empty everything out of my refrigerator again. Some repair guys are also saying you have to replace the thermostat piping or something like that. Dont buy this. I never do this but I have a refrigerator in my garage that is 12 years old and has never had a problem and Samsung although they were aware from previous models continued to just make it with the same problem knowing it still didnt fix it.

Recently we smelled smoke in our house, traced to refrigerator. When pulled out, a square scorched mark was left on floor and refrigerator was not operating. After several calls to Samsung, spoke to friendly women whose only response was, Your refrigerator is out of warranty, I can send a service person at your cost. If we were not home at the time, our home could have burned down, and their response is, Were sorry but you are out of warranty. When asked if they would like to see photos of scorched floor, her response was You can send them if you like. Very disappointed since we have all Samsung kitchen appliances and TV.

Samsung Refrigerator problems model RF217ACPN. For the last several months my produce bins have been accumulating water and then water below the bins freezes into a sheet of ice. I tried to contact Samsung and they said perhaps I spilled something. I told them that the problem was repetitive and that I did not store water in the refrigerator. They wanted to send out a technician but I asked them to give me some troubleshooting ideas first. They said they didnt have any because they havent had complaints about this. When I log into this site I see that I am not alone in this problem.

We purchased a Samsung elec. range (FTQ353IWUX) in 2009/2010 from Best Buy with an extended warranty. Within the first year, the oven would initially come up to temp. but not hold that temp. and actually begin to fall off. Best Buy had a Geek Squad rep come out. He changed $400 in parts without fixing the problem. When, at my recommendation, he finally began to do some troubleshooting, we found that one of the wires to the baking element had burned off. He cut back the wire and installed a new terminal lug. As of this week, the same old problem surfaced. Being that the unit is now out of warranty, and me being a retired industrial electrician, I shut off the supply power and opened up the back of the range. I found that not only had the same wire burned off its terminal lug but additionally, the two power wires that feed the broiler element had burned up as well.I called Samsung today. I was told that since it is out of warranty, it is basically my problem even though this very same issue occurred while it was under warranty. They offered to have a service co. come out and look at the unit, at my cost. Right. Thank you so much Samsung, for nothing. I explained to the Samsung rep that with these wires being burned up, there were only a limited number of possibilities as to the cause including undersized wiring, undersized terminal lugs, and/or poor crimp connections. Her response was only that it was out of warranty. I expressed my concern that this was a safety issue but that too seemed to fall on deaf ears. Wow. This company really sucks!!

Since purchasing in 2012 this refrigerator has been a constant problem. We have had to defrost the freezer 6 times due to ice buildup. And now for the second time the refrigerator is not working. The back panel freezes. The fan then breaks due to the ice buildup which causes the motor to stop. This has happened twice at a $500 cost to fix. Now in addition to the refrigerator not working there is ice building the size of a large melon in the lower right hand interior panel. We have been told this is due to bad insulation and is a product defect. We contacted customer service and they told us the repair company is not Samsung authorized. The Samsung authorized service did not return our calls for service. We have tried them again and they ask we wait 5 days before a serviceman can conduct a home visit. So we have non-working refrigerator. It has been classified as a product defect. We cannot get service. Samsung help desk is not giving us support. A Lemon!!!

My husband and I purchased a Samsung 4 door model refrigerator Model RF2339
My husband and I purchased a Samsung 4 door model refrigerator Model RF2339011SR/AA from our local store in November 2016 at a cost of well over $2,000. We paid a premium price because of the unique styling and because we have several other Samsung appliances in our home and because we’ve had no issues with them. This has certainly not been the case with this refrigerator.I. Several months after our purchase we called Samsung regarding a leveling leg for the front of the refrigerator that had broken and some additional plastic door adjustment snap rings so that we could level one door that was slightly lower than its mate. This simple request took multiple calls with us being passed from person after person and department to department and being told, ridiculously, that a technician would have to come to our home install the leveling foot and snap rings. This was finally resolved however, and we were sent the parts. II. About 2 ½ years after our purchase, We contacted Samsung because of an ongoing problem we were experiencing with the ice maker – ice freezing up in and around the tray and blocking the entire ice maker unit up with ice. After 2 weeks of multiple calls and disconnected phone calls, Samsung agreed to a one time “warranty extension” as long as we could find a local repair person and pay him in advance after which Samsung would reimburse us. We did this and we still have an ice maker that freezes up. We have to keep it turned off and only turn it on when we need to refill a bag of ice. This is the number of people we had to speak to in that instance, and the names they gave: Samantha Julisa Juan Roy Andelo Shamia Stacy Christina Kimberly Maria Natasha Alexis Louise TayahanaThat’s 14 different people and again, the icemaker still freezes up.III. Now we have a new problem. On December 22, 2020, we called Samsung regarding the clear finish, or fingerprint coating, separating from the stainless material on the bottom left freezer door. It is very noticeable and looks like a stain on the door. We spoke with someone named Garrett, who, after a 45 minute conversation finally said that he would escalate the issue and asked that we send photographs to efax@sea.samsung.com with the ticket number of ** noted in the subject line, which we did. We were told that we would hear back from Samsung in 3 to 5 days. Not hearing from Samsung, we called on December 31, 6 business days later, and spoke with Hassie who again “could do nothing” but would transfer us to a supervisor, but the wait time was 1 ½ hours. We opted for a callback which happened about an hour later. We spoke with Delson this time, a “case manager” he said. Despite my insistence that this was an obvious manufacturing defect that caused the finish to separate from the substrate, the only point he could relay was that it was “Cosmetic Damage” which was not covered by warranty and that he “could do nothing to help us”. We asked to speak to a supervisor and were told that one would call us within 48 hours. Of course by this time we didn’t really expect that to happen, but we waited until January 8, 2021 to call Samsung yet again and this time spoke with someone named Damascus who again said he would try to get our claim escalated to manager level. After he tried to contact one for 8 to 10 minutes, he informed us that the wait time would be 2 hours and 10 minutes and we would get a call back, which we did, this time from Pamala who was insistent that nothing could be done.Taking a break in the narrative here, please understand that all along we have only been requesting that Samsung replace the defective door which I was more than willing to install. You only had to send a door, which I expect would have been less than $100.00 your cost, to alleviate the defect and make the customer happy. At every phone call we had to go over the entire situation again wasting anywhere from 10 to 45 minutes per call, not including wait times, to actually speak to a person. It continues, on January 15, 2021 we called again and spoke to someone named Wisvert, same thing all over again, a case manager would call us next week with answer. Nothing. On January 22 not hearing from Samsung, we called again, this time speaking with Kendra who forwarded us to Selanda. We thought we were getting somewhere now. She told us we would have to pay a technician to come to the home to determine that it was a manufacturing defect and then Samsung would replace the part only, not the labor. When I reminded her that we had sent pictures that Samsung technicians could look at to determine that it was a manufacturing defect, she said there were no pictures. That was upsetting to us after the time and effort we went through to provide them as requested. When I asked her to put in writing via email that Samsung would replace the part if a repair technician found that it was a manufacturing defect we were strangely and abruptly disconnected! No call back either, On January 24, a Sunday morning, we were surprised to receive a call from Samsung Electronics Exchange and Refund Department, a Marcos, who called to inform us that there were no options and that they could not take care of this defect. Please note that this defect of the finish separating from the substrate is not due to any harsh treatment from us and that we offered to install the door only asking Samsung to provide the replacement part. The terrible service that we have received from Samsung’s “customer service” is beyond belief. The repeated passing from person to another person, the long wait times, the limited language skills making it hard to communicate, and the continuous offers to call back that don’t happen, all appear to be a tactic on Samsung’s part to discourage customers from pursuing remedies to problems with its products. It turns out that our experience is not unusual for Samsung. According to the Better Business Bureau as of this date, it has fielded 20,375 complaints in 3 years and over 1000 reviewers have rated Samsung a 1.02 out of a 5 stat rating. What a shameful record for a company. You have lost us, a valuable repeat customer, over this lack of customer service, we will advise friends and family not to expect any customer service from Samsung if they purchase a Samsung product and we will be placing our comments and this narrative regarding these issues everywhere applicable online. Please, in the spirit of truthfulness, delete all claims of the importance of customer service from your advertising and phone messages as we have never experienced any caring customer service from your representatives. We’ve never been so disappointed in a company.

French Door Counter Depth Refrigerator with Deli Drawer RF24FSED - Like tho
French Door Counter Depth Refrigerator with Deli Drawer RF24FSED - Like those before me, I am hoping others can benefit from my mistake. My Samsung refrigerator is less than two years old and the ice maker doesnt work. We have done all the recommended fixes several times. Both Best Buy and Samsung will not do anything to help. Reliable appliance repairmen wont work on Samsung appliances and say they cant even get parts. Also the interior design isnt very good. The door shelves have an extra metal trim and there is space between it and the plastic wall. If something spills and gets between the metal and the plastic wall it is a nightmare to clean. I also find removing the plastic vegetable bins to clean a big hassle. I will never purchase a Samsung product again.

I bought a Samsung French Door refrigerator (model #: R-260B EAEBC) back in Jan of 2015. It keeps leaking water under the large vegetable drawer and down onto my floor through the freezer. My ice maker is totally inconsistent and when it does drop ice, its very noisy. Samsung insists that it is NOT a manufacturing issue and refused to cover the cost of having anyone sent out to service it. Im furious with them, considering how much I paid for that refrigerator. I finally submitted a class action law suit against them.

SAMSUNG BUYER BEWARE - Do not buy a Samsung refrigerator!! We have had nothing but trouble since we bought ours (model #RF263BEAESR) a few years ago. Usually people that right good reviews have only had their refrigerator for a month or two. Ours worked well for the first year and then the trouble began. The icemaker broke first (it costs four to five hundred dollars to replace it) and then the defrost sensor broke (two hundred and fifty dollars to replace it). Now they say maybe its the fan - its never ending. Its a very pretty refrigerator but thats about it. There is a class action lawsuit on the ice maker and the fan and defrost sensor will soon follow. We have had Samsung certified repairmen out six times and one of the repairmen said that there is a design flaw on the refrigerator and that we should expect to keep having someone out to put a band aide on the problem.Samsung knows there is a design problem and they will do nothing to fix it. When we call Samsung they go through their written script and are worthless. We have escalated the matter and they always tell us that they will review our claims and get back to us in three to five days. They never call back. When we call them back they conveniently disconnect our call or they tell us that they cant hear us and they hang up. The Samsung call center is in the Dominican Republic. I felt I had to warn others before they made the same mistake we did in buying this horrible refrigerator. Do not buy a Samsung refrigerator, you will regret it if you do!

I purchased Samsung French Door Counter Depth Refrigerator in November 2016
I purchased Samsung French Door Counter Depth Refrigerator in November 2016 and had problems with the freezer drawer almost immediately. The drawer would not open completely unless you tugged on it multiple times so I contacted Samsung and was summarily dismissed by the first person with whom I came in contact. I was told by this person that the drawer only opens a few inches and that I would basically have to live with the situation. The second person I called tried to get me to be the service technician and suggested numerous things that I could do to try and remedy the problem. I told him that I did not have the time nor the inclination to play service technician and that since the unit was new I expected Samsung to send a technician to take care of the issue. They sent someone from Service Quick who decided the drawer gasket was bad and it was allowing air into the freezer causing frost to build up on the rails thus preventing the drawer from opening completely. The gasket was replaced and the next day the drawer was just as bad as it had been prior to the service call. I made another call to Samsung and the second time two technicians arrived and they decided the rails were bad and replaced both rails. The following day the drawer was even worse than before and it was difficult to open and close. The third and final service call two technicians arrived and one tested the gasket for air leaks and the other used a steamer on just one of the rails (why only one I do not know). These idiots told me there were no air leaks but I needed to wipe the door gasket off at least once or twice a week! Finally I contacted Samsung again and they wanted to send another technician from another company to assess the situation and I refused. I told them that since the refrigerator was new and they could not resolve the issue after three tries I wanted them to consider another way to resolve the matter. Samsung decided they would refund my money, however it has been two weeks since I provided them with the information they requested in order to process the refund and I have yet to get a response to my e-mail inquiring about the status of the matter. I decided to call the Samsung refund and exchanges department and was placed on hold for 45 minutes. While I was on hold 6 PM rolled around and due to the fact that department closes at 6 PM a recorded message came on and said they could not take my call and that I should call back during regular business hours. We have many Samsung products in our household and, fortunately have never needed service on any of them, until the refrigerator. Now I have experienced the abysmal service from Samsung I will never recommend nor will I ever purchase another Samsung product! Samsung cares nothing about the customer as evidenced by the dismal service they provide. My recommendation is to boycott Samsung and buy products from companies that will service what they sell and respond to the customer in a timely and efficient manner!

The salesperson raved about this dishwasher. We were told it was the top of the line. In fact, it was on back order and we waited three months for it to be delivered. The warranty was for 12 months. The dishwasher began to have trouble one day after the warranty and Samsung would not send a technician. It would run for about 5 minutes and then stop. It wasnt draining. In the two years we have had the dishwasher it has been fixed four times. A month ago it stopped working completely. The motor is toast. We decided after putting $400 into repairs that we werent willing to put any more money into it. Today we purchased a new dishwasher and its safe to say its not a Samsung. Im completely disappointed.

I just purchased all new Samsung kitchen appliances. The dishwasher was broken. It ran, but would not turn off even when I opened the door. I had to turn off circuit breaker. Called Lowes, and they replaced with a new one. They were great about it as I said I did not intend on having to pay my contractor a second time to install it, they completed the installation. Now it runs, but does not dry dishes. I purchased the rinse agent as I was advised, used it, still does not dry dishes. Today I used the sanitize option which was suggested in manual to get dishes dry...still not dry. I also have a very bad smell coming from dishwasher when there are no dirty dishes in it. It smells like garbage. So today I called Lowes and spoke to my salesman. I am NOT going to re-purchase a Samsung. He is going to have his department manager call me tomorrow. Again, I dont want to pay installation, but either way I am so disappointed. So far I am happy with refrigerator, stove, and microwave, but have only had them two weeks.

We purchased our Samsung stainless steel french door fridge 1 yr 4 months ago. (FModel # RF261B EAESR). Yesterday I noticed the right door was slightly lower than left door by looking at the top. The same day I went to open the door and it came crashing down on the floor!! Thankfully my 3 year old son and my little dog were not around and no one was hurt. Upon inspection the upper right door hinge broke that anchors the door. I think its a horrible design flaw in the part. Although the door hinge plate is metal the male end of the hinge is plastic! That part is what failed. The fall did cause one of the removable door shelves to crack. Im writing this complaint because Im big on safety and hope Samsung reads this so no one gets hurt in the future.

I had a bad experience with one of those Samsung single/double compartment ovens, the spaces are too small. They contained too much moisture when roasting joints of meat, they wouldnt listen to my complaints. It was only until the bottom of the oven went rusty that l got my money back. The condensation from the moisture in the meat, was actually hot steam, so after sealing the meat the steam would then tighten the meat so the only way to get it tender would be to cook low and slow. I might have well just thrown the lamb leg into a pot of boiling water.

Side by Side Refrigerator RS265TDRS is approx. 3 yrs old. Problems with ice maker freezing up and not making ice since I have owned it. Ice maker replaced one time during warranty, but I continue to have the same problem. Now the refrigerator will not cool, found that the back of the fridge was frozen and the evaporator fan motor will not work. Had to defrost refrigerator with hair dryer. Just read all the reviews with the same complaints. Wish I had read the reviews before buying, but I will not make the same mistake of buying from Samsung twice. I am ready for the class action lawsuit.

Ceramic cooktop model# NE59J342*SS - Cooking sausage on 3-month-old stove (about the 3rd or 4th time using the burner). After cooking then cleaned stove top and noticed a very small crack on burner! I had no idea where it came from. Noticed there was a small crack about 3/8 in long. I called with complaint and received call from Starkey Williams for repair, was told to take photo. Photo was sent to Samsung. The person from customer service said it was not covered because the warranty does not cover physical damage and said something was dropped on it and broke it. Drop damage??? I never dropped anything on it. Samsung refused to cover it stating physical damage not covered under warranty. Samsung refused to consider this could be manufactured defect stating it was physical damage. There is no indications that anything was dropped on it. Executive customer relations put me on hold for 45 min and then I was disconnected twice after waiting to speak to supervisor. Then finally was able to reach supervisor voice mail (what a surprise!), left message to return call and hopefully I will hear something soon. But will probably be told the same thing not covered under warranty, still not happy. Stove was recommended by Lowes rep! Samsung is the worst company I have ever dealt with!! Still fighting to see what someone can do.UPDATED ON 09/02/2015: Update to my complaint about Ceramic cook top model# NE59J342*SS. After several calls to Samsung and from Starkey Williams with no solution except for me to pay out of pocket for the cost of parts, labor and repair of range (approximately $300.00 for new cooktop and $175.00 for service call). Since I had purchased this range less than three months ago, I became very frustrated and decided to contact Lowes with my problem. I informed them of the complaint and was told I should have come to them first. I then quoted to Lowes the electrical safety warning statement from page 6 of the Samsung user manual. If your appliance malfunctions or if fractures, cracks or splits appear, switch off all cooking zones, unplug the range from the AC wall outlet and contact your local service center. (That sounds like this is not a new complaint, may have happen to someone else?) I didnt know who the local service center was, so I contacted Samsung with no help. Lowes instructed me to contact Lowes Advantage warranty service. I did and again no help as their warranty only covers what Samsung warranty covers, and does not cover physical damage. So, now what? I looked on back of sales receipt for Lowes return policy and found at Lowes, customer satisfaction is their goal. So, I hoped they might be able to repair or replace the item since it was purchased less than 90 days ago. Second trip to Lowes and discussion with appliance sales person and manager I was granted a solution and that was to replace the damaged range with another same model range. Im happy Lowes was able to help me and hope that I dont have any problems with this range. The delivery person said he was surprised of problem with Samsung range as he felt Samsung was a good company and made good products. I hope hes right. Thank you Lowes for your support in this issue.

We purchased this product on July 27 2017. Months after we purchased it the ice maker started icing up and water started dripping inside the fridge. When you would hit the ice button you would first get water then ice would drop. The ice would not be totally frozen. Then water would drip out after you were finished. Three different times they have replaced the whole ice maker. On Nov 8 2018 they told our repair man they were going to do an exchange. Then on Nov 29 they had another company come in and fix it (3 time). On Jan 24 it started doing the same thing. When we contacted Samsung they told us it is now our problem. They are not going to fix it again. They totally lied to us about exchanging it. This fridge is nothing but junk and headaches. We ended up going to Sams Club and purchased an ice maker. You spend nearly $3000.00 for a refrigerator and you cant even have it make ice. Buy from a different company. They know they have problems with this refrigerator and they wont stand behind them. We will never have another Samsung in our house. Read other reviews on this. I know others have the same issue. We read them but we thought they had the issues resolved. Boy did we find out the hard way.

I cant describe how horrible experience I have with Samsung product, lets begin, in 2013 I bought Samsung French door refrigerator ( RFG297HDRS/XAA) from Best Buy and I paid extra for extended warranty (which I found out it is not extended warranty. It is duplicated warranty). Now in 2016 it is broke down. I talked to Samsung few times. There is no authorized repair center close by and they had to talk to Sears Service but make long story short the estimate of repair is around $600 maybe even more for replacing control board. I recommend to stay with common brand like Whirlpool or Kenmore, Amman instead of paying more for some foreign brand which it cost a lot to repair plus they have very short life.

The ice maker is poorly engineered as it stopped working within 3 years. (Froze up and jammed). We had a refrigerator repairman from a local reputable appliance store come to our home. It was $400 to replace the ice maker plus labor; we didn’t do it because the repairman said there was no guarantee the new one would work for long. Next the alcove where the drinking water station is located was not lined with stainless steel, so we have rust stains on the front of our white refrigerator!! Lastly, after calling Samsung customer service several times, they just said, “Sorry. Your warranty is up.” The refrigerator was $2,300.

I have a Samsung Range that broke down after only 2 months. I set the self clean for 3 hours. After 2 hours, the touch screen died, and the oven door has been locked ever since. I called Samsung for repair service that evening and was told I would be contacted the following morning for a service call either that afternoon or the following day. Neither happened, so I called Samsung back and got the royal run-around of scripted answers. This time I was told the repair person would contact me within 24 business hours to set up a repair time, and that the repair people are very busy. Well that is because Samsung sells inferior products! I asked for a supervisor, and was put on hold for 20 minutes, no answer, so I finally hung up. I went on the website and entered my reference number, only to find out that I am supposedly scheduled for repair on 11/12. That is 9 days after I called for repair! No one has contacted me to confirm this yet. I emailed the service person to request a sooner day, but I do not expect to hear back from them, nor do I expect them to even show up really. If I could throw this range away I would, but it is so new and I cannot afford to replace it. I will NEVER even consider buying anything Samsung during my lifetime again. I have had the Samsung SMH9187ST microwave for just over 3 years now. Yesterday I got the SE error code. Tried unplugging and recycling which did not work to clear the code. We purchased Samsung appliances at HHGregg in Dec 2013 and installed them in Jan 2014. The stove was delivered damaged and had to be reordered. It came a little while later and I installed it. They all worked good until about 2 weeks ago and the oven quit working. My wife called Samsung only to be told the warranty had expired Nov 2013, and the stove was not registered to our phone number or address. That was not possible because we received it in Jan 2014. She took our information and a person from Samsung called back in a few days and said they were going to replace the stove. They just needed a copy of the receipt. The person would not give a full name or phone number. Just the first name. My wife emailed the receipt and we waited for 5-6 days and no one contacted us. My wife called Samsung again and this time she was talking to a woman who was very rude and said they did not get a receipt. She asked to send the info again to a different place and she waited on the line and said she got it and a repair man would be out Friday. When asked about replacing the range, she said something like why should we. When asked for a written copy of what our warranty is and when it is good to, she refused and refused to give an address to write a letter to, and refused to let my wife talk to a manager. We dont trust them now and think it could be possible we didnt get a new stove. What can we do to make this right?

Price was over $300.00 and this appears to be a very common issue at around the 18th month of usage mark per the complaints online I have read. Of course, I called the company and they state, Too bad, it is out of warranty (12 months). The company needs to look at the business they are losing over what could be a small fix. I will no longer purchase any Samsung products. I was a dedicated Samsung customer because the quality was there in the past. In this economy, you would think that a company would value the customers they have and when they see a defect like this, they should address it, not just brush it off. Samsung needs to look at Tylenol for an example of going above and beyond for its customers. So with that said, I have a $350 microwave that lasted less than 2.5 years so maybe I will just purchase a cheap microwave every year. At least, I will get a new one each year and may be more cost effective,

As the previous 150 purchasers of the OTC Samsung SMH9187SW Microwave, I purchased mine 12/2011, and it has stopped working 2/2013. Since it is out of warranty, I didnt even bother to contact Samsung because Ive had mine for 26 months and knew that if I wanted a Samsung certified repair person, it would cost more than the original price. I live in the San Francisco Bay area so I found a repairman with 135 5 STAR reviews. I told him my problem and he said he stopped working on microwaves because it was cheaper for customers to replace them. He also said he did not know of anyone that he could honestly recommend. So I found this site and followed the advice of the few people that were able to get theirs up and running. Unfortunately, none of the suggestions helped; I tried unplugging the unit, pushing clear and start simultaneously and finally unplugging and resetting the blue and white plugs on the control panel.I had thought of buying a different microwave except for the fact there is not one single microwave under $1,000 with a customer rating above 2 stars. Even the Best Buy rated microwaves in Consumer Reports, Epinions, Amazon, etc. didnt receive positive reviews from the actual consumers. So now I am going to order the control panel (not from Samsung directly) and install it myself. I dont see any other option since I dont want the expense of another microwave plus installation and then worry that another problem will occur no matter what brand I buy. My 1st OTC microwave lasted 20 years, the 2nd for 10 years and now 2 years! I most definitely would like to be involved in a class action suit. One interesting side note: Consumer Reports still list Samsung in the top 4. From now on, Im going to the actual user reviews listed at the bottom of the rating page!

And ice forms on the back and gets so noisy we cant stay in the same room as the machine. And when the Sears repair people come to fix it all they can say is that they are not very good machines, and they dont make them liked they used to. The junk will be off the warranty soon. I think its criminal that they dont recall the machine. Not only are the parts cheaply made but almost a $1000 in warranty calls with Lowes has been spent on trying to fix the ice maker. It is a vicious cycle. The entire thing freezes over, we have to defrost it then wait for the entire unit to reset. There is a sensor to defrost the fridge and send the water created down a drain for evaporation. This sensor fails to work causing water to pool inside either under the crisper drawers or the cool select pantry. If the water is not noticed, it will ultimately flow from the unit onto the floor. Sometimes this sensor will also cause freezing of the fan that keeps air circulating in the refrigerator. Personally, I had this problem repaired on 4/3/12 and today, 10/29/12, I have called Samsung to report that it is happening again. Their customer service stated that the repair is not covered, is out of warranty and they will not pay to replace/repair. I decided to do a little research via the web and after typing in various forms of the following question: water leaks in bottom of fridge, water under food drawer, water leaking from fridge, etc, I have come across over 2,000 inquiries to this question just from the Samsung website. When I visited other sites, i.e. AppliancePartsPros.com and ConsumerAffairs.com, I saw another 500 plus complaints. So how do we get Samsung to admit this is a defective part and correct the problem for all of us? I slipped on my tile floor because of the water and now have my ankle in a brace. Other folks have complained about flooring becoming damaged, food loss, all sorts of problems because of this defect. I cant afford to keep calling a serviceman out for the same problem and probably lots of others feel the same. Thank you for looking into this matter.

I remodeled my entire kitchen and wanted the best appliances. Samsung came highly recommended at the time. I purchased the stainless steel refrigerator, range, dishwasher and microwave. I purchased an additional warranty on everything except the microwave because I have had cheap microwaves in the past that last more than 15 years. Who would have known, 16 months later, the microwave would be the first to give me problems. I started receiving this error code SE and the manual states to unplug it and plug it back in. Well, I tried that several times and it did not resolve the issue. Finally, I called Samsung and was told that a service repair person would need to come out. Never once told I would have to pay for someone to come out and check it. When I received my call back, I was told there is a $90+ charge just for someone to come out and if parts are needed, I would have to pay for the parts and repair. I am so frustrated right now for a microwave, not just any microwave but a Samsung microwave to break down after just 16 months. Well, when I asked approximately how much would it cost to repair the microwave, I was told it depends on if they had to order a part and if so, what part. I am sure that this is not the first time anyone received this error code and surely someone from Samsung (the maker) can tell me what the problem is and approximate cost, right? I feel it is very unfair to pay and have someone come out to tell you that it will cost hundreds to repair, potentially paying more than I paid for the microwave. All I want to know is for other repairs related to this error code, what is the approximate cost and I will never refer anyone to purchase a Samsung appliance.

Phoned Samsung and followed their instructions as to taking photos of the damage and when speaking with them we got the impression that everything would be repaired. I bought a Samsung Refrigerator and stove in 2017 after we flooded with Harvey. So far I am pleased with the stove. The Refrigerator is another story. The icemaker makes very little ice, and it freezes up! When you first push the ice button, water squirts out first, getting all over. Ill take my old 15 year refrigerator over this new Samsung any day. Never going Samsung again.

We purchased the Samsung RF28HDEDBSR/AA. One of the reasons we purchased this refrigerator is because of the great rating on Consumer Guide. The ice maker has a problem with water leaking into the maker and then freezing so it completely stops the making process, I had to pull out the maker & chip away at the frozen ice (think before self defrosting freezers), not a fun time. The ice maker when working dispensed the ice horribly. I had a tech here & he said they see this problem all the time and would never recommend a Samsung fridge because of the huge design flaw in the ice maker, there is no way to repair/fix the problem. He recommended LG or GE, We purchased an LG, and no problems, I have the Samsung in the garage as a 2nd fridge (no water to it). I have a friend I visited a month ago, she has the same problem! Now she is having frost in her bottom freezer, the tech told her to use a hair dryer. What a joke this refrigerator is, for the money it should work!!

Months of frustration with a ridiculous repair process. We purchased a Samsung electric range as part of a package of appliances from Lowes for our home in Florida in July of 2016. We soon learned that the temperature in the oven was not being maintained properly. We found out that Lowes would not replace and that we needed to go through Samsung for repairs. We have now have had repair people visit 7 times and have had all electrical components replaced three times. Meantime we do not have an oven that works and have wasted all that time dealing with repair people and service technicians at Samsung that do not have a clue. Hundreds of reviews have been written regarding the same issue with these ovens. I am ready to take part in a class action suit/massive recall effort to force the miserably incompetent people at Samsung (think Galaxy Seven Smart Phone) to take appropriate action. In related items we separately purchased a Samsung TV that randomly failed after just two weeks while no one was in the room. Thankfully, Best Buy (unlike Lowes) took a stand and replaced the unit free of charge. Lastly, a craftsman was working at our house and overheard a conversation that I was having with Samsung one day. He told me that he had been a Samsung repair person for four years and finally quit his position because the processes and information that Samsung uses were so bad he was embarrassed. Im not sure if Dr. Oh-Hyun Kwon is still the CEO of Samsung, but he should be the most embarrassed of anyone. Under his leadership a once honored company is now an incompetent laughing stock. What a horrible legacy!

She said it smelled like smoldering plastic and from the other reviews, this microwave is a piece of junk and should be recalled by Samsung. I will purchase a different brand, because I do not want to take a chance of endangering my family with this junk. This is my second Samsung appliance - first and last!

I havent had my Samsung model RF195 refrigerator two years and water and ice are forming under the vegetable drawers. I was told the drain is plug and it could cost up to $150 to fix. I will have to unplug my refrigerator for 2 days and they will have to put in a new improved part in the drain that is deeper and replace another part along with it. The company I purchased it from who is also my repairman stated he just repaired another one the previous week. It sounds to me like this is a huge issue with Samsung refrigerators. I am not happy about putting $150 in a less than 2-year old fridge. Samsung needs to step up, take credit for the mistake, and offer some type of resolution to the solution!

Bought a Samsung dishwasher, model 80F600UTS. I have had nothing but trouble with it. The first thing was a sensor for hot water that broke. The repairman knew what was wrong but had to go through the Samsung hoops before he was allowed to order the correct part. This was several weeks and six repair visits later. I was fortunate it was still under warranty. It broke again, it is about one and a half years old. The same sensor board broke, but for water level. O, that was replaced, now out of warranty. Today, about a month from the last repair, it has broke again. The same lights are flashing so I can only assume it is the same board again. The repairman is on his way again. I am thinking of scrapping the dishwasher and getting a different one, NOT SAMSUNG. The repairs are now almost as much as the dishwasher cost. Bad experience, piece of junk dishwasher and Samsung has not really cared. The warranty is up and they are not responsible. BEWARE.

We bought the RF263AEWP model on August 30, 2011 from Lowes. About a year later, the fan was making a noise. It was blocked by ice build up. We got rid of the food, and defrosted it, with the help of hairdryer, etc. It was fine for a while, then it happened again. We called an authorized Samsung Repair person. He said it would cost over $700 to fix it. We found reviews where other people had this problem and they spent $$ on repairs, only to have the problem come back. So, we didnt pay for the repair person. We defrosted again... Its now freezing up again. Food in the freezer is soft. We are shopping for another refrigerator. If there is a class action lawsuit, we want to be a part of it.

According to the repairman its the way its made and was told not to use this feature. How silly is that? Why buy a self cleaning stove and cant use it??? I tested it again while still under warranty and it did it again for a second time. I am calling Samsung for a full refund. Either way I will surely be running the self cleaning feature more times before the warranty runs out. They will be paying the repair people as much as it takes until warranty is out.

They, after contacting them repeatedly for days, issued a new service ticket. Today, two weeks after first contacting, the service finally comes. He has to send pictures of the top to Samsung and they refuse to fix it. The service tech doesn’t understand why and tells us to contact Samsung. I do and they tell me that the pictures show prior damage and they won’t warrant it. I ask what damage they are talking about as it had no damage other the crack that happened while the water was boiling. I was told that there were scratches on the top and a hole. First, we use our every day and there are small scratches where pots and pans sit on the burners and get moved. That’s called normal use. Second I informed them that there is no hole in the the top now, the past or ever. I was told the pictures showed a hole caused by the crack. They actually said I had a hole in my glass top caused by the defective top cracking. Wow. But since there are a few scratches and a made up hole in the top it voids the warranty.

We made the ultimate mistake by purchasing this Samsung Storm Wash dishwash
We made the ultimate mistake by purchasing this Samsung Storm Wash dishwasher. The dishwasher smells and constantly traps mold in the dishwasher & on the dishes. After less than 1 year the dishwasher hardly cleans at all, the glasses look worse after being washed in dishwasher than before. There is a gross film left on all dishes despite using rinse agent religiously. Silverware has to be rewashed before using. I hand wash more dishes than the dishwasher washes! So frustrating & Im stuck with this piece of junk till I can afford a new one. Very disheartening. Samsung has no care despite emails sent to them. They refuse to help & refuse to take product back. I was willing to trade for another Samsung dishwasher. Shame on any company that doesnt stand behind their product! My daughter got an Mac Pro recently that began to split apart after a month; Apple immediately took care of this. Samsung could learn a thing or two!

I was advised that the damage was not under warranty and would require a service call. The repair company advised that there would be a $110 fee to come look at the damage, Not only that but the only way to repair would be to order new doors. I purchased and installed this Samsung SMH9187st Over-the-Range Microwave Oven in May 2010. It operated with no problems until May of 2014 when, after a short period of use, the oven would lose all power - as if the plug had been pulled. Power would restore itself after several minutes, or sometimes several hours. This continued intermittently for a couple of weeks until I had a chance to investigate further.I disassembled the microwave. (Plastic parts in this oven are very thin and cheaply made. Although I was going slowly and carefully, I cracked the top grill in several places when removing it and had to glue it back together.) With the control panel removed, I observed two thermal cut-off switches on the bottom of the unit. One of them had what appeared to be burn marks on the plastic wire insulator. I started the microwave (with the control panel moved to the side but still connected) and noted that shortly after the timer finished and the oven shut down normally, a small spark occurred at the location of the burned insulator, and all power to the oven was lost. Additional sparks were seen at 10 to 30 second intervals until I unplugged the unit. Upon disconnecting the wire where the spark was occurring I noticed that it had been improperly installed. The metal connector at the end of the wire (inside of the plastic insulator) had not been clipped onto the metal lug of the thermal cut-off switch. Instead, it had been wedged between the wire connector and the plastic insulator, resulting in a poor electrical connection, arcing and overheating. I reattached the wire connector to the metal lug of the thermal switch, firmly pushing it into place so it was attached just like the other wire connection on the switch (see attached picture). That seemed to fix the problem. The bad connection must have occurred at the factory since the oven had never been repaired or disassembled since I originally purchased and installed it. After four years the plastic insulator deformed and melted enough so that the already weak electrical connection overheated enough to trip the thermal cut-off.I checked other connectors in the oven and found a couple of others with the same problem, so I fixed those as well. So, here it is two years later and the microwave has stopped working again. I opened it up and quickly saw that yet another wire has completely burned through and is hanging loose. Its going in the trash. I cant risk having this appliance burn down my house.

Purchased a Samsung fridge RF217ACBP in June 2011 and have the same complaint I am reading over and over. I have had 3 service calls for the same problem, water in the veggie/fruit bins, thick ice under the bins. This time the fan was very noisy and would consistently run. Called Xmas eve and the service guy came out on 12/29, the back panel was completely frozen, had to shut off for 24 hrs, and parts were ordered. When I called on Saturday they were nice, but no help. You need to have 4 repair calls in 1 year to even be considered for a new fridge. I have already told many people not to purchase a Samsung fridge or anything and will never get another one myself. I think they should stick to phones & tablets. Let’s hope what was fixed today will last, but once my master protection plan expires in 2016 (glad I have it) the fridge will be gone. Samsung needs to get their act together and maybe if enough people stop purchasing product they will get the message. NO MORE SAMSUNG APPLIANCES FOR ME!!!!!!

DO NOT BUY! DO NOT BUY! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DO NOT BUY THIS DISHWASHER! My wife and I purchased this dishwasher in February 2014. It lured us in with its beautiful looks and promise of quiet operation. For nine months this dishwasher worked flawlessly. It cleaned our dishes well and you could never tell this thing was in operation when it was running. During the first week of November we got an LE code and the dishwasher shut down. The manual told us to cut the power to it and call Samsung for service. It took two weeks to get a technician to our house and he had to order a new control module and a new leak sensor. Apparently LE is the fault code for leak. When the Technician replaced these items the machine started working again. Two days before Thanksgiving the dishwasher stopped working again and was flashing the LE code again. This time it took almost a month for the Technician to get to our house and he couldnt find the leak so he ordered an entire Sump Assembly since Samsung told him this is the only other thing that could be wrong. Christmas Eve, the technician came out and replaced the Sump Assembly and got the machine running again. On New years day, a week after the repair, our dishwasher stopped working again and was displaying this dreaded LE code again. I immediate called Samsung and they scheduled the repair man to arrive for another repair today but the machine started working again yesterday (assuming the water leak dried up) and the repair tech called Samsung to explain to them the situation. Samsung told the repair tech since he couldnt recreate the problem theyre not going to recognize there was a problem and they were not going to pay for the service call. Even the repairman was disgusted with this and called his supervisor to explain the situation and jumped through hoops to find a way to keep us from paying for the service call. He even called the store we bought the machine from and explained the situation to them which lead to the store telling me to bring this piece of junk in to them tomorrow and theyll give me a new machine of equal value and different brand name.I went online and entered the model number of this dishwasher in google and I am in shock from the amount of complaints I see about this dishwasher and theyre all the same complaint. That LE code and the inability to get it fixed and Samsung refusing to do anything more than toss new parts at it. This dishwasher is in need to be recalled but Samsung will not acknowledge it. PEOPLE PLEASE!!! DO NOT BUY THIS DISHWASHER! There needs to be a class action lawsuit brought up against this company. Also everyone that has been ripped off by this company needs to simply contact the Federal Trade Commission and make them aware of this Samsung sponsored con game being ran on American consumers.

We called again and again, got another idiot reading off another card that could not give any usable information, and the best they could do is set us up with a generic all-brand appliance repair private contractor whom, after checking the c/os against him, sounded shady.I cancelled the call and took a bullet with Sears $275 plus tax $294 on top of the ton of money this hunk of Asian crap cost me (the contractor grade American fridge I got with the townhouse was working fine for 28 years until I unplugged it the day this crap came into my house). So much for Asian technology, and do not expect any red carpet treatment from Samsung CSRs!!!!! I am so sorry I bought this!!! And will never call Samsung again. I built my new home in September of 2020. I purchased new appliances the Samsung hub refrigerator as well as the black stainless steel gas duo smart oven. After having and using the stove for about 11 months I notice that there were areas where the appliance was peeling. I was confused as to why stainless steel was peeling only to find out that the black stainless steel is a layer of paint. I reached out to Samsung as well as Best Buy because I did purchase the extended warranties only to be told that this was a cosmetic issue and there was nothing that they could do about it. After being told this from both parties I was devastated. I have spent 7k on these appliances and theyre starting to look like crap. It has come to my knowledge that this is a common problem and there are a ton of consumers in the same boat as me. Samsung should be ashamed of its business practices. It is obvious that the craftsmanship of their black stainless steel is not up to par. As a consumer that works hard for my money what makes you think that I would pay so much for a product that starts to peel within a year of having it. As a consumer there was no disclosure of any indication that that could/would be the case. Otherwise I would have just opted for the regular stainless steel and not the black stainless steel. It is mind-boggling that Samsung treats their consumers this way after we send our hard-earned money to only end up with defective products that they are not willing to replace.

I have spoken to your representative on numerous occasions regarding the quoted fridge (Samsung Fridge RS2530BWP) purchased Dec. 2/07. Again this unit has stopped working. Now my food is all spoiled. I was told by the repair company that it is the motherboard once again. This fridge has been a problem since just after the first year of purchase and you may check the log of my calls. My fridge was purchased in 2007. I purchased an extended warranty and this service co has now serviced my fridge 4 times. This warranty is now off also and now the fridge has quit completely leaving me to deal with an outside service company who say that it’s the motherboard again. The part has to be ordered and it takes 8-10 days or I can have it expressed at an extra $40 and it will be delivered 4-5 days.Awesome service for an essential appliance, wouldnt you agree? The fan has stopped working 2 times, a motherboard replaced one all just after the Samsung warranty was off, of course. Plus there are several large cracks in the plastic of the interior which Im told are merely cosmetic and there is no coverage for that. It was a very noisy fridge, banging and waking me up at night. To say Im not a satisfied Samsung customer is an understatement.Plus Ive again lost 3 fridges full of food which have to be replaced. I hope all of you will read these reviews and refuse to purchase a Samsung appliance ever. Im now forced to look for a new fridge and believe me, I will not ever purchase Samsung again.

Telling me they cant do anything, yet I have 10 year concierge warranty and if they get someone else out I have to pay? Bought a Samsung dual electric range and French door freezer on the bottom fridge as well as extended warranty! Multiple breakdowns of fridge with over 4 call outs! Stove smells of electrical burn when using the oven. The stove top receptive plug has had a short since day one. They claim they have a no lemon clause, but these were both lemons. Didnt last 5 years! Will never buy Samsung again and am now wondering about their phones etc. Loyalty begins with quality products and service. Samsung appliances and service are sorely lacking. Dont waste your money or your time and dont trust the companies that sell their products under the assurance that they are a quality product... anyone who sells junk is not to be trusted!

I should have listened to myself and only buy made with pride in the U.S. products UGH! We bought a SAMSUNG model RS265TDRS for an apartment that we use only on weekends. With 2 people, I hardly think that fridge gets much use but I do stock it with meats and other frozen food. I happen to notice my dog was licking something at the floor at the bottom of the fridge and that is when I noticed the leak was coming from the fridge. I open the freezer and refrigerator and everything is melting. I thought I maybe left the door ajar earlier ? NO, I did not! Who is going to pay for the spoilage now? Is Samsung going to reimburse me for all the food that got wasted? I also got Samsung TVs , Range, Microwave, Dishwasher, the whole works! Am I going to expect those to break down anytime soon?

My freezer would not freeze the contents and I called a repair company. They have been back 5 TIMES so far and the problem still exists! They have informed me that Samsung (unlike other manufacturers) do not have a technical support group to help identify problems for their refrigerator products. This really sucks and I will never ever buy another SAMSUNG product that does not offer tech support for the product I am purchasing. I have now been without a working freezer for nearly the entire summer. Shame on you Samsung! If you cant support your products with tech support, dont try and sell them to us in the public sector. I am extremely angry and will share this with everyone that I can.
