Samsung Microwave Model MC11K7035CG
On Feb.16, 2009, we purchased a 30 Samsung electric stove AND a 5 year warranty. Almost immediately, we knew we had a problem. We spent the entire 5 years of warranty, having repairmen from A & E Factory Service (Sears) come put bandaids on this very expensive stove ($1508 without the warranty cost). When the extended warranty ran out in February of 2014 the stove had all the same problems it had as a new stove. Since then, I always set the temperature too high (because it never reaches the temperature I set it at). I bought a good oven thermometer to put in the oven which I watch by shining a flashlight through the glass in the oven door, adjusting the temperature throughout the baking period. You see, I cant trust the oven to go to the temperature I need. The beeper that is supposed to tell you when the oven is hot enough to bake your food beeps when the oven is at least 100 degrees lower than I have set it for. This oven has ruined so many things I have tried to bake, including a ham that I served partly raw without realizing it. NEVER BUY SAMSUNG PRODUCTS!! I seriously cringe when I see full page ads for Samsung appliances. I will NEVER buy another one. But think of all those poor people who WILL! (We purchased the stove from a store in Loveland Colorado called Ji and Daves Appliance, Inc. which is no longer in business).
I have owned the double French door Refrig for just over 3 years and Ice maker goes out. 2 appointments to repair and over $300 in P & L. Ice maker now dispenses crushed and cube together while on cube program, this issue never happened before Ice maker went out. Their Separate service company says it needs a new part to correct new problem and costs an additional fee! Samsung unwilling to send new part at their cost. I am considering after reading reviews and how many there are a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT against Samsung and its service company! I would like to know who would be open for such a Suit?
The microwave fan and over the range light go on randomly at all hours of the day. Samsung came and replaced the control panel and it worked for a while, then the same thing is happening. I called and Samsung said the warranty has run out so I would have to pay for the repair. I feel the control panel is a faulty design and since the problem reoccurs there is no sense in replacing it. The TV sound bar shuts off two times a day at random times.
We bought new home in September 2014, had Home Warranty. We have had someone out to look at our dishwasher 5 times. They keep fixing things on it and just today they brought a new part and now says it needs another. We had a cooktop stove also that needed fixed. The appliances are only a couple years old if that. I will never recommend Samsung to anyone. We also have the fridge, nothing wrong with it yet! We will out buying a new dishwasher, NOT SAMSUNG!
RF197ACWP - Water leaks into the crisper drawers and under the drawers. The refrigerator is 18 months old. I took out a warranty from PC Richards. I have had them out three times. And it has happened again. I have to take a day off from work, empty out the refrigerator and freezer the day before service call. From the reviews I see that it is a constant problem with Samsung. How is the Samsung company allowed to get away with this? Why have they not been ordered to take this off the market until they can right this wrong. When there is a problem with cars they have a recall. Why not appliances? Can anyone answer this.
We purchased a Samsung stove 2 years ago. The other day we started the oven and blue sparks. Oven would not work after that. Called a repairman who came and checked. Said element was burnt out and would order a new one. 3 weeks later repairman calls to tell me that Samsung had discontinued this burner. Discontinued a stove burner and a 2 year old stove.
Samsung otr microwave smh9207st is very dangerous and should be recalled. It had the door replaced twice and almost every holiday while I was cooking on the stove the steam rose and if the microwave was turned on it died like it isnt sealed properly. I think it was the third time it actually caught on fire and the magnetron and numerous parts were replaced free of charge with the promise if it failed again it would be replaced with no problems. When it died again they did not replace it - they repaired it again. When it died again they admitted they had it on record it was supposed to be replaced but refused to. They would pay for the magnetron but that was it. I would be responsible for the labor and any other parts. The repair service visit for the fire the repairman had just left a place not 20 miles from me for the same microwave catching on fire. I wanted to share my experience because I believe someone might truly get hurt by this product. I will not repair this again for the fear of burning my house down. I will never buy one of their products again because I have found they do not care if it is dangerous. They should recall and discontinue making it.
Purchased this dishwasher 2 years ago, nothing but trouble. Doesnt dry properly, the LED control started to fail, now it starts then drains and shuts down. These units do not run past 2 years. Samsung wont help you with anything once out of the 1 year warranty. Nothing but a piece of junk. Just like the other comments these electronics do not stand up. These units should be priced out at $100 rather than $1000. There should be a class action suit placed on this manufacturer for selling poor quality products.
Defective Samsung Refrigerator Model RF267AERS - We first experienced an issue with the evaporator tube freezing up and water running out of the refrigerator on to the hardwood floors, 2 months out of warranty. A service technician came to the house to repair it. Here we are, a few months later (May 2012), with the same reoccurring problem. This time, they want us to pay for the same repetitive issue. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Samsung refrigerators. Update - Here we are in August of 2012 with the same problem. The refrigerator is once again a spring generating a stream of water on to our hardwood floors. What a lemon of a refrigerator. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Samsung Refrigerators. Beware, they do make refrigerators for other manufacturers.
SE display on control panel - Model SMH9207ST - 2 years and 8 months after installation, the SE display started to appear. Turning power off-on, sometimes would start it going again for only a few days. Unfortunately, this action is not working any longer. Have contacted Samsung and according to them, there are no complaints on this model (I found numerous) and since its over one year old, well have to pay for any repair. Since this is an over the range model, built in my remodeled kitchen, Im stuck with this piece of crap! To make matters worse, we are also experiencing problems with their refrigerator (purchased at the same time as the microwave) and their Smart TV, purchased in July 2012. DEFINITELY NO MORE SAMSUNG PRODUCTS IN MY HOME!
Do not purchase a Samsung any type refrigerator!! We bought a side by side in July of 2013. In less than a year we had to have the ice machine completely replaced and now at just 17 months into ownership we have had a nightmare of a time with this piece of crap machine!!! The control panel completely froze and they replaced that didnt work, they then replaced the mother board again didnt work and now they are replacing the freezer door and the fan in the freezer!! What a colossal waste of money!!! Buyer Beware!!!!!
I bought this piece of crap dishwasher a year and half ago from Home Depot and it has been total garbage, does not dry dishes and poorly cleans them and worse of all it leaks from the front door which I cant seem to stop. I would love to have my money back but thats not gonna happen so good bye to Samsung products FOREVER!
Our experience with a Samsung fridge (less than 2 years old) similar to everyone elses. Started with the ice maker not working to now the main fridge compartment not working. Had it repaired but was told by the repairman that he couldnt say for certain that the fix was permanent. He was right. This product is an expensive piece of junk!
We bought a Samsung dishwasher (Model # DW80K705045) in March 2017 from Lowes, after 15 years with a Bosch. Looking back now we should have done our research. We would have seen all the bad reviews. Christmas Eve the dishwasher went into failure mode. “Leak in System”. Within a few days the dishwasher worked again but 3 days later the same thing happened. It took 12 days for a repairman to come and determine the problem. We were told it would be a huge job that required a full day, the dishwasher motor would have to be rebuilt on my kitchen floor, and no guarantees that the repair would work. This repair will require my husband to take a day off from work. Fast forward to 3/20 and we still do not have the part. According to Lowe’s the part has been in for 2 weeks now and we have not been able to schedule a repair. We are unable to use a different repair company because this is the one Lowe’s contracts out to. The dishwasher can only be run with few dishes and on short cycle. We don’t know when it will go out again. Numerous calls to Lowe’s and Samsung have gone nowhere. Neither company will back up the product. Samsung will not replace the dishwasher until 2 attempts to fix it have been made. Lowes won’t offer a refund because we have to go through Warranty service for the first year of owning the product. The Warranty is through Samsung. Totally disgusted and frustrated.
Bought a new Samsung refrig 1 1/2 yrs ago from Home Depot. We took out the extended 5 yr. warranty. It (compressor) quit cooling right after a Mothers Day party with fridge jammed with food. Hours and hours on the phone with Depot and Samsung and now they cant find anyone in our area that works on them. I want a refund.
I purchased the French door model RF217 under two years ago and for the last year, the veggie bins have continuously filled with water. Water also collects under the bins. It is really quite a pain.
Purchased Samsung RFG237 AARS in 2011. It stopped working completely in Aug, 2019. It needed $850 worth of repairs including a new compressor. Before this we had $650 in repairs for the freezer, draining, misc items. I was expecting this to last more than 8 years. The spare fridge in my garage is 34 years old and has not required any repairs.
Did not make ice as it should. Then the ice sticks together. Went on vacation. Came back 5 days later and ice maker basket will not release. Is stuck in freezer. Cannot unload stuck ice.
I purchased this refrigerator almost a year and a half ago. It suddenly started playing up. Now it’s neither cooling fridge nor freezer compartment. I live in a town almost 200 km away from Jeddah from where I bought it from. I contacted the dealer and he straightaway refused to help. I asked him for the contact number of Samsung Jeddahs main dealer, but he told me, “If anything goes wrong with your appliances, it is just your bad luck and we cant help you.” So I called one refrigeration engineer at my own expense and he diagnosed that the problem lies in the motherboard unit and my refrigerator is non-repairable.Everyone knows how hot the weather is in Saudi Arabia and the pain I suffered because this world class brand is really awful. I would not recommend anyone to go for this ** brand Samsung ever owing to their awful reliability and customer service track.
I purchased the entire black stainless kitchen set Refrigerator, Stove, Dishwasher, and Microwave. After 3 week of use on the stove my wife made corn on the cob, she did her normal way of making the corn of a large pot to boil the corn in. Well some of the water boiled over which is a normal thing that happens when cooking. We didnt think too much of it since we have been cooking on a glass top stove for over ten years with our old Ignis Stove. My wife went to clean the top the next morn and she found where the water boiled over the glass pitted or pop little holes in the top.Samsung is denying our claim say it is do to Wear and Tear. Are you kidding me!!! Wear and Tear. When the appliances came in we found that the freezer pull out door has a small crease in it and had to have this order from the company we purchased the appliances from. Well five weeks later still no replacement door. It is really sad because I have always enjoyed using my other Samsung products and have been buy Samsung for over 36 years now. Well they (Samsung) just lost one of their best customers!!!
There are thousands of complaints about the ice maker freezing-up/jamming. Samsung refuses to admit there are similar complaints and issue a recall on and fix on all these parts. Ive talk to customer service many times and they stick to their script and will not escalate this extremely common occurrence.
I bought a new kitchen refrigerator, stove, dishwasher and over the oven microwave. All Samsung. Do not buy this brand. I wish I would have read the reviews first. The ice maker started freezing up in the first year. We are into our second year and it still has to be defrosted every week. What a waste of money. You would think that Samsung would make this right for all the customers that have had this problem. I have family members that have the same issues same brand. Ready to take a loss and get a different brand.
I purchased a Samsung 5.9 cu. ft. electric range from Sears outlet (certified). After 90 days, the range wouldnt turn on, all functions stopped. The computer board is defective. Samsung didnt honor the warranty as it was out of the box. Sears, even though has a warranty for a year on all products purchased in their store, required that we buy additional warranty contract. With that, they ordered the part from overseas, and we have been waiting for 7 weeks with no range. Samsung does not provide parts to their range. For the range to fail within 90 days is a major defect. Sears outlet dont honor their warranty.
We bought our Samsung dishwasher two years ago and have had problems ever since. The dishwasher stops working and error lights start to flash. We have had it fixed a couple of times and it keep doing the same thing. This product is a piece of junk and not worth the money at all. I would honestly give it -5 stars if that was allowed. Do not buy this product. You would be wasting your money.
Ceramic cooktop model# NE59J342*SS - Cooking sausage on 3-month-old stove (about the 3rd or 4th time using the burner). After cooking then cleaned stove top and noticed a very small crack on burner! I had no idea where it came from. Noticed there was a small crack about 3/8 in long. I called with complaint and received call from Starkey Williams for repair, was told to take photo. Photo was sent to Samsung. The person from customer service said it was not covered because the warranty does not cover physical damage and said something was dropped on it and broke it. Drop damage??? I never dropped anything on it. Samsung refused to cover it stating physical damage not covered under warranty. Samsung refused to consider this could be manufactured defect stating it was physical damage. There is no indications that anything was dropped on it. Executive customer relations put me on hold for 45 min and then I was disconnected twice after waiting to speak to supervisor. Then finally was able to reach supervisor voice mail (what a surprise!), left message to return call and hopefully I will hear something soon. But will probably be told the same thing not covered under warranty, still not happy. Stove was recommended by Lowes rep! Samsung is the worst company I have ever dealt with!! Still fighting to see what someone can do.UPDATED ON 09/02/2015: Update to my complaint about Ceramic cook top model# NE59J342*SS. After several calls to Samsung and from Starkey Williams with no solution except for me to pay out of pocket for the cost of parts, labor and repair of range (approximately $300.00 for new cooktop and $175.00 for service call). Since I had purchased this range less than three months ago, I became very frustrated and decided to contact Lowes with my problem. I informed them of the complaint and was told I should have come to them first. I then quoted to Lowes the electrical safety warning statement from page 6 of the Samsung user manual. If your appliance malfunctions or if fractures, cracks or splits appear, switch off all cooking zones, unplug the range from the AC wall outlet and contact your local service center. (That sounds like this is not a new complaint, may have happen to someone else?) I didnt know who the local service center was, so I contacted Samsung with no help. Lowes instructed me to contact Lowes Advantage warranty service. I did and again no help as their warranty only covers what Samsung warranty covers, and does not cover physical damage. So, now what? I looked on back of sales receipt for Lowes return policy and found at Lowes, customer satisfaction is their goal. So, I hoped they might be able to repair or replace the item since it was purchased less than 90 days ago. Second trip to Lowes and discussion with appliance sales person and manager I was granted a solution and that was to replace the damaged range with another same model range. Im happy Lowes was able to help me and hope that I dont have any problems with this range. The delivery person said he was surprised of problem with Samsung range as he felt Samsung was a good company and made good products. I hope hes right. Thank you Lowes for your support in this issue.
Samsung very good but not great. Ice maker is problematic, water filter replacing can be messy, water lines can back up and freeze. I suspect these are the same type of issues with any 2 door, front water accessible refrigerator.
In November 2015 we purchased a Samsung Electric Range with Black Stainless finish. The model number is NE59J7630SG, recently we have noticed that the paint is flaking off around the oven door. Your hands do not come in contact with this area. We contacted Samsung and they told us it was too bad but they call it a cosmetic issue, so it is not covered under any warranty. The Best Buy protection policy does not cover it as well. After viewing many complaints about Samsungs Black stainless issues on the internet, both ranges and refrigerators we decided to push the issue. Samsung said they would send a repair person out but if the issue was deemed cosmetic we would have to pay the $200.00 service call. We have sent pictures and done everything they wanted and they will not back the product. It is my (and many others) opinion that appliances should not have paint peeling off of them after 2 1/2 years.
Microwave SMH9207ST spontaneously turns on when not in use. Walked in to a small fire burning in the microwave while running which spontaneously started while we were out. Entire walls of microwave were melted with some damage from heat to surrounding cabinetry. My guess is we were 15 minutes early to a full on house fire. Not expecting Samsung to accommodate.
I bought a Samsung Range NE59J3420SS/AA from Sears November 23, 2015 the day before Thanksgiving. Since then I have had problems with the product. First the discoloration of the cooktop is awful. I called Samsung and was told that was normal and that the range was fine. Well the steam cleaning feature will not work and I called Sears. They refused to fix it nor service it - 1800-726-7864. They had a more hands off and referred me to 1800-726-7864. The CSR that I spoke with implied that I was unintelligent and could not read, and I could not follow simple directions. I told her that I followed the directions given in the manual and that I wanted a technician and to speak to her supervisor. Well he got on the line and hung up on me.I ended up going online to get a service call done and a ticket # and also be informed that the service call will cost me for the tech to come out. Currently I was purchasing a new refrigerator from Conns. I will calling in a few minutes and putting that on hold and changing that product. I also have a lot of Samsung products in my home - washer, dryer, televisions, and three cell phones and I am dreading if something else breaks. IF you are considering any appliances from Samsung I am telling you their service department is awful, rude, obnoxious and callous. Beware of the products you purchase from them be sure that the merchant tells you about the warranty and if they offer additional in house warranty seems to me the best bet.
When we bought our stainless steel fridge 2 years ago I couldnt believe it. We had saved for months finally can redo our kitchen. We should of looked on the complaints. Everyone was right. 4x we had our icemaker replaced and our fridge doesnt get any colder than 38 degrees. I hate this piece of **. We had our other fridge for 20 years without one problem. Why is it products made now are junk. Will never ever buy another thing from Samsung. Shame on you Samsung.
I have a model RB195BSSB/XAA, serial # **, date of manufacture January 2006. As you read on, you’ll realize problems with Samsung refrigerators do not necessarily depends on their age or on the model. Issues with ice build up both in the refrigerator compartment and in the freezer started almost two years ago, presumably in the spring of 2017 if not sooner. First intervention by a local technician took place in July of 2017. They replaced the drains (after a complete defrost). The problem gradually came back in the matter of few months, and between January and May of this year technicians from another service firm came for a total of five times. They replaced the motherboard, the outside display, the temperature sensor, and cleaned the rear drains one more time. Although ice would not form any longer in the freezer compartment, it started building up again behind the back panel, causing it to bulge (to the point I had to remove one shelf from the door, or it couldn’t close), and under the vegetable/crispers drawer, requiring frequent manual removal. This would happen even after disconnecting completely the water line to the ice maker (which had stopped working). In addition, the lower compartments of the refrigerator would cool too much, slightly below 30 F (around -1 to -2 °C), causing produce to freeze, despite setting the outside display at 40. The freezer temperature is also too low, despite setting it at 4. This after squandering a total of roughly $1,200 for the multiple visits or the various repairmen. Both technicians have given up attempting any further repairs, and they also notified me that their firms have stopped servicing Samsung refrigerators because of unresolvable issues like these. When I recently called the Samsung customer service, at first I was put on the line with a clueless representative; upon insisting to talk with a supervisor, I was referred to a service company, A&E Factory Service, that has abysmal customer ratings on online reviews (I decided not even calling them). Needless to say, I’m mad for having wasted so much money trying to resolve a problem that no one seems to know anything about. Had I known, I would have replaced the refrigerator right away.
7 month old refrigerator had an issue with the refrigerator door. The ice flap was opening and closing constantly. After leaving us for 12 days without a working refrigerator and 3 cancelled service calls someone showed up to replace the door that was sent to them directly by Samsung. It is not the correct door and now they are refusing to replace with the correct door. The customer service is terrible and the product is defective. Do your research and avoid these appliances.
Samsung refrigerator model # RS25H5111BC - We have had our refrigerator two years and the freezer is working but the refrigerator part is not cooling!!! It makes horrible noises when it is running. Aggravating!
4 Years ago I upgraded 4 of my appliances, 2 of them Samsung fridge and microwave. Fridge broke in 2013. Microwave broke this month. Called Samsung informed them its not working and gave burning smell and they recommended to have microwave evaluated by tech which I refused (reason written below between they told me after 1 year no warranty). Went to Best Buy and bought GE microwave. Hopefully it will last long. Our TV from Samsung already broke of course. Last year when my fridge broke, I called Samsung. In short they recommended CERTIFIED technician who came and couldnt pinpoint issue (FREEZER SIDE WAS NOT WORKING, MELTING EVERYTHING). He told me it could be one of many reason and recommended to change 3-4 expensive parts plus his labor cost. I could buy new fridge comparing parts and labor cost. My opinion Samsung products dont last long. If you have money to throw, do buy them.
We have a two year old french door model. The ice maker dispenser mechanism seems to get frosted up and stops dispensing cubes. When cubes are selected it wont allow the cubes to drop. It just drops small chunks, you can hear it grinding away. The crushed side works fine. We remove and empty the bin and allow the mechanism to dry out. After reinstalling the mechanism it frosts up within a couple of days. This just started about 4-5 months ago. There are no other frosting in the freezer. Ive read many other ice maker complaints with Samsung.
Nov. 2009 we bought a new fridge. After 2 days the water quit dispensing. The fridge was replaced. 2 days later the new fridge wouldnt dispense water. Next tech put in a heater to keep the reservoir for the water from freezing. Next the space saver ice maker quit. It got replaced. Next event was the control panel went out. It was replaced Sept. 2012. Now Jan. 2015 the control panel is out again. Weve called several service companies, including Sears Blue Crew, but no one services our area; they used to. This fridge has had service every year. Now out of warranty Samsung says they cant do anything to help us, not even find us service for the fridge. I know well never, ever, buy one of Samsungs appliances again.
Samsung Dishwasher Model DW80J3020OUS. OMG Do Not Buy this Dishwasher!!! I thought Id update my kitchen with all Samsung appliances. Let me tell you besides the refrigerator a HUGE MISTAKE!!! I will do other write-ups on the Microwave and stove issues, but this one will focus on the dishwasher. I had it for about a week when I started realizing dishes were not getting clean, only the very first run did but none after that. Then I saw that the soap dispenser was only dispensing the soap after I opened the door when all cycles were completed, so soap was not dispensing. So after about three resets of dishwasher and 6 times of no soap dispensing I called Samsung service line only to be belittled by the customer service rep who insisted the dishwasher must be installed incorrectly. Im like no it has power check, it also has a water supply check, water goes into and comes out of dishwasher but soap dispenser is not working. She then said are you sure the dishwasher is level, and I was like yes, and did you reset it, yes. Well, she said, we can gladly send out a technician but if they determine you did something wrong with install we will bill you for their time. I am like forget it I bought it from Best Buy and its not even 2 months old so I called Best Buy and they are swapping it out for a real dishwasher a Whirlpool. Samsung service person told me that maybe the water going into the unit wasnt hot enough and that my unit didnt have a heating element, which I found out is untrue, but it is a very small heating element and is used more to maintain water temp rather than actually heat the water. So she tells me maybe I should just run hot water in the kitchen sink until it feels hot, then run the dishwasher, REALLY!!! No, I did not pay $400 to run my hot water first. Also this unit does not actually dry the dishes. It blows a little fan for about 20 minutes then says its done. Well actually it has no indicator its done other than no lights are on. But that leads to another issue of my kids not knowing if dishes are clean or dirty so tech suggested I get a magnet for that purpose, AGAIN NO!! I had a Maytag for 22 year and it never had an issue. The unit was only replaced because it was white... I should have kept it.So in short this dishwasher though looks nice and is quiet, does not heat water efficiently, does not dispense soap consistently, does not dry your dishes completely, and when it is working does not do a great job getting griming dishes clean. ALSO this unit somehow has broken 2 glasses that were on the top shelf, not sure how, but very crazy, and Samsung support, from my perspective, REALLY SUCKS!! If you call them expect to be blamed for using your product wrong or having it installed incorrectly and generally talked down to. So much for friendly customer service. Come on Samsung I have all your phone, tablets, and laptops about to go away if you cannot handle my appliance needs!!! Stay away from this Dishwasher!!!
Dishwasher works ok, not great, just ok. Been trying forever 2 months to get 4 screws for this dishwasher, yet they are unable to send them to me? WTF?? Almost $900 for a dishwasher and they cant send mounting screws?
I wish I had read these reviews before I purchased my Samsung DMT 400 that the appliance company told me was state of the art. I too have suffered the smell, the failure to drain, and the 50-50 chance that the soap would not dispense. I guess I just tolerated it until the lights started blinking. The company tells me based on the sequence of lights that I have a Low Level Water Error. Of course because the machine is more than a year old, the repair is on me. Even though they can diagnose the problem over the phone, no authorized Samsung repair shop will even give me a rough estimate as to the cost of repair, the cost for a different brand of machine new is about $400...the cost of the service call is $99. Sounds like a no brainer, but I guess this little repair will cost me a couple of hundred dollars and likely the dishes will still stink. No more Samsung appliances ever, its clearly not their core competency.
Dec 2014 when I bought my two-door SAMSUNG inverter refrigerator with 1 yr warranty of service and 10 years warranty of compressor. Im a bit happy of the long term compressor warranty without thinking the possible reasons why they are giving warranty that long. After two years, the compressor had to replaced since its not functioning. Since it has warranty so its free but I still spent around 6k for the labor and other parts needed. So, after the repair the equipment is again functioning very well, but just recently exactly after two years after the repair same problem encountered - the compressor is not functioning and what shocked me about is the estimated cost I have to spend. I need 9k excluding the compressor since its free. OMG. Why do I spend that much when I can use said amount to buy new one. BUT NO TO SAMSUNG! NEVER. The first ref I had lasted for 19 years (other brand)-without any repair. I just disposed it since I wanted new one.
I purchased a Samsung refrigerator 3 years ago - the ice maker quit working 2 months ago. Tough finding repair men but the cost will be 400.00 and Samsung will not provide a remedy. Apparently there is a class action suit against them for this very issue.
I purchased all Samsung Appliances for my new home to include Refrigerator, Dishwasher, Oven and Front Load Washer and Dryer. The Refrigerator (Model RF253BEAESR) came in with dents and I have tried numerous times to get Samsung to repair and they have refused my requests. They sent someone to verify the dents and the repairman did confirm my complaint but Samsung still refuses to repair. Samsung does not stand by their product and I will never purchase Samsung products again.
Our Samsung Range NE59J7651WS has staining/streaking on the oven door glass that seems to be between the glass panes we purchased. The dealer says it is not on warranty. We purchased it 6 months with a 3 year warranty.
We purchased our Samsung Fridge 5 years ago. Not even a year later ice formed on the inside back of the fridge. They replaced the thermostat and not long after that it happened again! Of course now that its not on warranty, we must have to take the water and ice constantly out from underneath of the deli drawer. I will NEVER purchase any appliance from Samsung again! I HATE My 26 cu ft Samsung french Door Fridge!!!!!!I also have a dishwasher by Samsung and within a couple of months the writing wore off the front! I had to put a dot on it to know where the power is to turn it on and off! Between the two appliances I paid over $3000.00 for Junk! Look up the Samsung class action suit, they knew about this problem and didnt do a thing to fix it!
Please anyone that has had problems with their Samsung Product - no matter what the product, contact me. I am trying to get a class action suit started against Samsung and their customer service department. I have had problems with my Samsung dishwasher from day one and now it is Oct of another year. Samsung thinks that they can run the warranties out on their products and people will eat it and buy something else. If your product has not been replaced or repaired, it is still under warranty and we need to get together and make sure these big companies dont think they can get away with that. My dishwasher has been sitting here since June of this year(2014) with water in it. Has been repaired many times and the last time the repairman didnt even get down the road before it broke again. Having trouble with Samsung wanting to repair again, well under the lemon law with is a law it has to be replaced. They are hoping like a lot of people I will just let it drop, no such chance, its the principle of the matter now. Big companies need to pay for their mistakes so please contact me with your information **. If I get enough I can proceed with a class action suit against Samsung. Thank you.
Firstly, I wish I had read these Samsung stove reviews prior to my purchase. :( This stove got 4.5 stars on PC Richards site which is one of the reasons that I bought it. I purchased the Samsung NX58M6650W Gas Range in November of 2017. I purchased this stove solely for the price and way it looked as I am not a person that cooks a lot and barely do I use an oven. I was upgrading my kitchen and looking for a stainless steel stove to replace my old one. Its a very nice looking stove but obviously looks can be deceiving. After my 4th time using the oven, which was all day on Thanksgiving Day 2018, I noticed that the control panel was warped almost looking like it had melted. I called Samsung for repair and they gave me a courtesy extension my warranty (2 weeks out of warranty) and offered a free repair. In my eyes a barely used stove should not have any issues in just over 12 mos, but thats just me. I had my rinky Hotpoint Stove for 17 years and not ONE need for repair. Anyway the repairman came and fixed the stove. He replaced the old control panel which means removing around 20 screws un-wiring/detaching and re-wiring a new control panel. Also needs to be mentioned, the control panel on the stove is made of plastic! Now that can be a problem if your stove gets hot. Repair seemed successful but two days later, the timer isnt working. For reference, the timer is in the same place on the panel that warped after using the oven for several hours. Needless to say I am furious. Samsung insists on sending out another repairman, but I want this stove replaced (not with a Samsung if thats possible). If you read the reviews, you have no doubt that this stove is problematic in its design. I watched the repair, and with all the fine wiring on a plastic panel, how will there not be problems? Samsung has been giving me somewhat of a runaround and does not seem to stand behind their product. Im sure problems will continue to occur based on all of the reviews and research Ive done. I have been on the phone with them 5 times. I have another appointment for repair since they say that this is the best that they can do since I am now out of warranty. Im with the other reviewer that says Class Action. I will try to update this review after my next repair visit, but in the interim, this stove is sorely disappointing. Stay away from this stove.
RF217ACPN - Just shortly after the refrigerator went out of warranty a continuous water build up started in the crisper drawer. The repairman explained that there is a small part that is faulty in the drainage of many Samsung models - replacement cost me $150.
Bought the refrigerator brand new. It worked great for about a year then one day it wouldnt keep items cold. Turn out the freezer was too full. It was a large capacity freezer that did not actually accommodate a large amount of food.
We purchased a 3 door Samsung refrigerator Jan, 4 2016. The ice maker drips water through the ice dispenser and several times ice has lodged in the maker preventing new ice to drop and consequently build up ice. The repairman says this is a common complaint and we can either replace the ice maker ($500), shut the entire refrigerator down for 48 hours to let everything thaw or use a hair dryer to try to help the thawing process. He says it is an engineering flaw involving the air flow. Of course once you melt the ice it will happen again. I paid $3000 for this appliance and based on the amount of bad reviews I just now read regarding Samsung refrigerators, Samsung should for pay for this consistent problem to be repaired.
As a great salesman once told me, It just works! This is what one wants when you purchase a microwave oven. We take it for granted, but its awesome that we get so much value from a product that doesnt cost much. It has given us trouble-free performance every day of the year for several years now. Wish I could say that about everything else weve bought.
Our Samsung FE-R300SX is 3 years old and we heard a loud pop and saw flames and smoke shooting out the back of the range. The circuit board caught fire. Samsung will not cover any of the expenses. Thankfully we saw it right away and our kitchen did not catch fire. This range should be recalled for safety. My husband and I were headed out the door when we heard the loud pop and saw the flames. We were baking Tater Tots and had the oven timer on. Our son was in his room playing video games and was going to turn off the oven when the timer went off. Our kitchen would have been on fire before he would have noticed a problem. We paid almost $700 for this range on sale and it is only 3 years old. We are very unhappy customers and will never buy anything Samsung again. They didnt even call me back about the problem. They sent an email to say they were sorry it caught fire, but they set me up for an out of warranty repair that I will have to pay for. I called them back and was told that I had no recourse and they would not cover the repair. Even thought there is a 5-year parts warranty, it does not cover the circuit board which caught fire.
We bought this fridge in 10/2008 when we remodeled our kitchen. The valve has been leaking a while according to the insurance adjuster who denied our claim because of the length of time it leaked and because the valve is defective we are now looking at having to replace valve, floor 2 cabinets and some subfloor. We bought this appliance knowing it would be great. We have many Samsung items and like the quality. But we are disappointed that this happened. We are struggling with life as it is my husband was diagnosed with Arachnoiditis in 2014 and had to go on disability. In June 2016 he had a brain stem stroke and I had to quit work to care for him 24/7. So coming up with the money to repair this while leaving off of disability will be rough. But I dont want my fridge to fall thru the floor. Help is needed, requested and prayed for.
Samsung refuses to honor warranty. 4 door refrigerator RF23J9011SG/AA. [ New ] As a loyal user of Samsung products from 3 tvs, 3 phones, and 2 refrigerators I expected when I purchased my beautiful 4 door refrigerator that I would enjoy the same top quality that I have always had with Samsung products. After less than two years of service, my 4 door refrigerator, that cost over $3,000 has developed an issue. The bottom (Freezer section) is working fine but the top (fridge) section is now hot. Since the warranty on the compressor and associated parts is 5 years I thought that, although anything can have an issue, Samsung would honor the warranty to repair the unit. They did agree to send a technician out to look at the refrigerator so I was pleased that they would honor their warranty. The interesting part is that the technician only removed the inside panel at the back of the fridge to inspect the coil and fan area. The only test that he did was to unplug a temp sensor and plug one in that he brought to see if the compressor would kick on, which it did not. He also took some pictures of the inside of the fridge and sent them in, he said, to a Samsung technician who, in turn from some unknown location determined that the problem is Environmental because of a small section of copper tubing at the top of the coil has some green corrosion on it (Not the Coil itself). I was confused because this is what copper does when exposed to moisture (inside the fridge) and air. The technician told me that he was not sure but that is what Samsung said. He then removed the panels covering the electronics on the back of the fridge, tested absolutely nothing other than seeing if the LED lights were on and then told me there was nothing that he could do because it is from an environmental problem. The problem with this theory is, #1 copper turns green when exposed to air and moisture, very common and expected. Secondly, if it were an environmental issue then the copper lines on the back of the unit leading to the compressors (there are 2, one for freezer, one for fridge) would be corroded since they are ACTUALLY exposed to the Environment and off course, they are not corroded but look absolutely new. Fast forward today, one week later, and I paid Mr. Appliance to come out and actually diagnose the fridge issue. The problem is that there is an issue with the compressor. And, as I expected, they told me that the idea of environmental issues causing this is absolutely ridiculous. They did, however kindly offer me an estimate of almost $1,000 to repair it. Very disappointed with Samsungs handling of this situation, by the attitude of the tech they sent out, it almost seems as though they intended to find any reason possible not to honor their own warranty.
Dishwasher DW80F600 Series Serial # B00AG9MF106456D - We purchased this dishwasher 13 months ago for $800 at Lowes. It stopped draining the water last August, so we had it repaired under warranty. The technician they sent out installed all new parts on the machine. It worked well until last night when the problem reoccurred. When I pulled the machine out to find the serial number, I noticed that the frame was badly cracked on both sides. The cracks emanated from holes that were drilled in the bottom front of the frame. Having studied metallurgy, this is called stress crack corrosion, and is normally caused by a vibration. I called technical support and they told us that since the machine was one month out of warranty that they could send out a technician to repair it for $309.00 (including tax), and that they would also extend the warranty for another year at this price. After reading the reviews on this series, we opted to discard it and purchase a model that was not a Samsung.
Dishwasher doesnt clean dishes. Also had fridge. Over $2000 freezer froze so bad it wouldnt open anymore. Finally recd voucher for new fridge. Bought a Frigidaire. Works great. Refund after buying fridge: $900. They need to stick to electronics.
I have had my Samsung French door Twin cooling Refrigerator for a little more than a month. When cleaning and polishing it I noticed pin size rust spots that are barely visible to the eye. However when I spoke with Samsung they said I should of noticed them when the fridge was deliver. We did look over the appliance for scratches, dents, and marks but these spots are the size of the point of a pin and can not be seen until you are up very close which I was today when I was polishing the doors. Since it is a Cosmetic problem Samsung will do nothing.Goemans Appliances where I purchase my Appliances for my new home said to try Stainless Steel Cleaner. I will do that, I sure hope it works. When I hung up the phone from Samsung I went to the internet to see what I could do. It is frightening what can happen with these tiny spots if you do not get them under control. My advice do not buy Samsung. They do not stand behind their products. Goemans Appliances do not service their products and most of all DO NOT BUY SS APPLIANCES. The companies are getting away with fraud.
My compressor went bad after 3 months after purchase. They will not replace, only fix. Already it has been 1 week with no refrigerator and lost money with spoiled food. It took a service tech 1 week to come out and see whats wrong with it. This is frustrating, to spend so much money for a product and for it to break so fast. I know things happen but do the right thing. Now to replace the compressor it will take 3 hours to do and another week for a service tech to come. FRUSTRATING.
I never write reviews but I came on this site to see if I was the only one who had a problem with this stove. ALAS, I was NOT. We had the same problem with the temperature controls as many other reviewers did. Luckily my husband was able to change a part and fixed the issue. After several ruined meals since I couldnt figure out what was wrong initially. However, my glass top has broken twice in the last year. I had an old GE range prior to this and it lasted forever! It was easily 15-20 years old. I bought this Samsung smooth glass top range when we remodeled our KItchen. (MAybe 3-4 years ago) Loved it! Im not hard at all on appliances. I turned my teapot on to boil water for tea the first time and I heard a loud crack. TUrned around and the entire top had shattered. We had the glass top replaced, which was a costly repair but we liked the stove. The other morning, I had a small skillet on the stovetop making eggs, I turned around and heard another loud CRACK! This time it cracked underneath the skillet and into about four large pieces. SO, I am guessing from what I see here, no reason to call Samsung. We can replace the glass top again but honestly, the money we spent to fix these issues were as much, if not more than, the stove itself. I would recommend another brand glass top stove/oven if youre looking for one.
We purchased a Samsung fridge freezer from eBay, which we were very happy with. It seemed a great bargain... One day I realized I had given the kids sour milk on their cereal as the fridge had stopped working. We called out the service technician who defrosted the back with a hair dryer as it was completely frozen and the fan was locked solid with ice. When the fridge stopped again a few months later, we thought wed save the call out fee, etc., and do it ourselves. A couple of months later, and again. Do we have to pull the fridge apart for a couple of days every month or so?
So we purchased our Samsung oven in Dec. of 2016 and did not have it delivered due to construction until May 31st 2017 and not installed until June, (was told by Best Buy salesman that warranty did not start until the delivery date, which was a lie) so two days ago when going to cook something for lunch the oven would not heat. Nothing. Nada!!! It hasnt been hooked up a year yet. Called Samsung and no help. Nothing. We are stuck having to pay to have it repaired or try to do it ourselves. Bought over 2000 dollars worth of Samsung appliances that day and no help from Best Buy or Samsung whatsoever. So mad!!! How can a stove go out that fast? Its not even used daily. Never again and I will tell everyone I know not to buy Samsung appliances. Just waiting for the Fridge to go next!!!
We thought we were buying a top-of-the-line refrigerator when we bought our Samsung fridge 2 years ago. Model RF263BEAEBC. French doors, bottom freezer, ice and water dispenser in the door. From the beginning, the ice/water dispenser was a problem. It leaked and water ran down the left front and over to the left side of the unit, puddling in the floor. If I selected ice cubes, I got ice cubes and crushed ice, with a bit of water thrown in for good measure. Since day 1 it has never worked as it should. We have tolerated it all this time because everything else was fine. Now, we have no ice and have discovered there is (were thinking) no water getting to the ice maker in spite of the cutoff valve being wide open and undisturbed since installation. I have recently noticed water gathering in one of the fridge drawers. I am SO disgusted with this fridge!!! I cannot and will not recommend this brand to anyone!
My experience with our Samsung dishwasher is similar to the other experiences listed here. Dishwasher began having error codes after 14-15 months of normal use. After dealing with it working and not working for a few months we set up a service call through Samsung. A call to Samsung customer service led to nothing and they do not stand behind this product at all. Do yourself a favor and do not buy this product. You will be disappointed and left with a non-working DW in 13-15 months. No wonder the warranty is only 1 year. Samsung has a great scam going on here, but it will eventually lead to loss of customers in all areas of their business.
BEWARE. Had problems from the first week. Leaks like crazy on the heavy wash cycle. After several service calls and repairs we gave up and stopped using that cycle as the issue could never be resolved. We only use the express cycle to avoid leakage. Worked that way for a year. Now we have a computer problem where the key pad just blinks but the dishwasher wont start. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt. Most expensive piece of garbage weve ever purchased. So sick of service calls. Going to trash this piece of junk and cut our VERY EXPENSIVE losses. This was supposed to be top of the line. Dont be fooled. Its garbage.
Purchased 3 samsung appliances in 2013 and within 1 year the refrigerator has needed to be defrosted every 2 weeks as it freezes up and the water pools under the crispers. Was 2 days past warranty so therefore I needed to find a repairman to fix and absorb the expenses. Tried calling several appliance repair companies and none were willing to work on samsung products. Still am defrosting every 2 weeks. Have ordered parts online for it and replaced but nothing seems to solve the problems. Just recently the washer that I purchased has been put on a recall and samsung has not responded to me since registering on the site. Went to the samsung site and tried the chat and again nothing, referred to the customer service line. I called this customer service number a couple of days before doing the chat thing and the representative I spoke with told me that if I registered on the site he couldnt help me. I would have to be patient. Running laundry on the delicate cycle makes the drying time 4 times as long and why should I have to put up with kitchen & laundry appliances that say they are energy efficient and carry the samsung name.
Love the stove, it fits the bill for everything! I want to do. If I have any complaint at all it would be that when you cook in the upper oven you have to take care you do not burn the product. The water boiling feature is great! Oven heats up very fast as well as being able see what the temperature is as it is getting to the programmed temperature. The surface of the range does need to be cleaned after each use or it shows!
I purchased a stove from Home Depot on 10/15/2014, today is 01/13/15. As of today I have been denied a claim for the glass top that chipped and the inner glass that broke while I was cleaning the oven. So to my surprise I called for service and replacement of glass top and inner glass and was told that it was denied for personal damage. Its amazing how you can spend $700 on a stove that didnt last for 3 months. My other stove which was a Kitchenaid was 10 years old before the inner glass broke meanwhile the glass top never broke and it still works perfectly. I will never purchase a samsung stove again.
We bought Samsung appliances after Hurricane Sandy. The dishwasher doesnt dry dishes properly. I always have to dry with a towel. Range knobs all broke and are loose. Refrigerator has seams in the drawers that you cannot clean under. I will never buy Samsung appliances again. They should stick to electronics. Also the Samsung name is half off from the stove because they are only stick-on letters. The stove knobs are also plastics and melt and are loose. The appliances look attractive but the above items are what I have an issue with. I recommend to stick with a company that has a good reputation for kitchen appliances. We have to live with our mistake. These appliances are 3 years old.
I tried to warm up some leftovers and the Samsung microwave model SMH9187ST just stopped. I reset the time and tried again only to have the thing display X and 0 and then went dead. I checked the circuit breakers and all were fine. I checked the manual and unplugged the unit, waited a minute and plugged it in but no luck - still dead. I called customer relations and Gerardo informed me that the unit was out of warranty and he could schedule a repair at my cost. I informed him that this was our first Samsung appliance and having it break just over 2 years when we only warm up leftovers is not acceptable. I told him that we had a LItton counter top microwave which we had for over 20 years without any problems and sold it when we purchased this unit. He checked for any recalls and said that there were no issues similar to mine and I would have to have it repaired. I told him this would be the first and last Samsung product I will ever buy and I will tell my friend and relatives not to buy this crap. I, too, checked Consumer Reports prior to buying this unit just like one of the posters here and bought it because they gave it a good rating. I will not trust them anymore.
We just bought (September 2019 ) a 23 cu ft Samsung Model RF23R6201. The freezer operates at 15 degrees Fahrenheit higher temperature than it should! It is supposed to be at minus 5 degrees Fahrenheit but it is actually at plus 10 degrees Fahrenheit (I have verified this with two Refrigerator Thermometers). A Samsung repairman came by a couple of days ago (after a one week delay!) and supposedly fixed the problem with a software update which did not improve the performance of the Refrigerator at all! Needless to say, the ice maker does not work either! Furthermore the Refrigerator (deceptively?) indicates an inaccurate value for the freezer temperature. STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG REFRIGERATORS! (I doubt I will ever buy any SAMSUNG product.)
We bought a model NE58H9950WS chefs collection slide in range in early 2015. It belongs in a museum, not a kitchen because it looks beautiful but is useless. Preheat the oven to 425*, put a tray of cold food in and an hour later food is still uncooked and temperature is down to 300*. Tried to cook a frozen lasagna that was supposed to take 1 hour at 350 and after 2.5 hours was still cold in the middle. If you cook something like cookies or a pizza it is OK because they have so little mass they dont soak up the heat but anything that weighs more than a couple of pounds simply overwhelms the ovens ability to reheat.Samsung made 2 service calls under warranty and the replaced everything but the problem persists to this day. I noticed they have discontinued this model and taken down all of the negative reviews but the issue of their ovens not holding temperature is not limited just to this model. There are countless other reviews mentioning the exact same issue. Samsung even tries to disclaim the warranty of merchantability in their paperwork, which is a joke since it basically says they can make an oven that doesnt work and theres nothing you can do about it.I would urge anyone to avoid SAMSUNG products. There is a reason they are rated 23rd out of 23 brands on this site for ranges and stoves. It is because their products are junk. I have filed suit in small claims court (fortunately my state has limits on the warranty disclaimers which invalidate it) and will be getting my money back one way or another. Then I will buy another brand of range. This one costs $2500 and doesnt cook food!
Refrigerator started having problems 6 months after purchase. Water dispenser and filter started leaking. 2.5 years later it stopped cooling completely. The compressor went bad. Over the last 3 months I have had continuous problems with maintaining the temperature. The service guy came out again today (4th time in 3 months). Said the new compressor just replaced 3 months ago is bad. I have lost so much food and time. I want compensation and a new refrigerator.
This fridge was a replacement under warranty. We paid an extra $700 for it in September 2018. So far so good. Only time will tell.
I have had issues with my products after the first year! How does this happen after spending so much on the products. I have called several times for repairs to be made, they are fixed, but before the month is out, I am calling for something totally different. I would like my refrigerator replaced as I have had the most problems with that. What can I do, as I have a warranty until November 2019 but the company where I purchased the products are out of business, HHGREGG?
This was the first time I purchased an appliance online without actually seeing the product. It will also be the last. I was disappointed with the inside organization of this fridge. There could have been much better use of the door spaces. They are underutilized. The size of the auto fill pitcher is deceiving, the freezer is small. I looked at the distentions prior to purchase but they sure do look smaller in person. The size of this refrigerator is larger than the one it replaced but it holds far less because of the design. Very disappointed.
Refrigerator purchased November 2011 (Model: RS263TDRS/XAA). Had 1 year warranty that ended Nov 2012. Noticed that refrigerator was not freezing. Had to discard all perishable items (eggs, milk, yogurt, etc). Thought that refrigerator was working, restocked items but found out it was not cooling when milk was sour in 24 hours. Called Samsung and spoke with customer service rep who told me that they could not do anything because warranty had expired. Called home warranty company who identified that block of ice forming within the wall of refrigerator. They attempted to remove the panel to get to back of the refrigerator but panel was frozen solid. I had the repairman to speak with Samsung rep, was told that based on what that actual found as the cause, Samsung would cover the cost. I am still awaiting parts since 6/25/14. Would never buy another Samsung appliance. I have 3 TVs and have had no problems. Refrigerators appears to be designed to fail after 2-3 years.
We purchased the Samsung 24 Stormwash dishwasher in August 2020. After the first time I ran a full cycle, I got an error code OC. I looked it up and the manual said to contact the manufacturer. I tried using another cycle to see if that would work, it didnt. So I tried several other cycles and it finally completed a cycle. But I immediately noticed it didnt wash the dishes at all. Dishes that didnt even have grease on them before, were greasy with debris on it. Mind you, I rinse the majority of the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. So I called Home Depot to tell them it wasnt working and they informed me at that moment that it was purchased from the manufacturer so I would have to contact them. Soooo, I called them and I have had the run around from the very beginning. They arranged with a local company to send a tech out to look at it. That is whole story in itself (and not a good one). He FINALLY came out, said it needed a part, ordered it and came back to install it a week later. After he left, I tried a cycle and it worked. And then I ran another cycle and it barely got about 2 to 5 minutes into the cycle and it stopped. I called Samsung again, and after speaking to the lady (a rather rude lady at that), she finally escalated it for me to get a refund or replacement because they couldnt get in contact with the company that supposedly fixed my unit. They were supposed to call me back within 24 to 48 hours. A WEEK later, I called them because I never got a phone call back and they had the nerve to tell me I didnt qualify for a replacement or refund. They sent a defective unit that cost $1052.85 and now I have to jump through hoops just to get the unit fixed. The rep has been rude and dismissive. The unit is horrible! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. We have everything else Samsung, but we will NEVER buy from them again!
We purchased this french door refrigerator from Best Buy 3 years ago. We purchased the extended warranty and didnt need to use it. As soon as the 2 year extended warranty ended the refrigerator started: the temperature at the top started saying numbers that meant it was cold enough. Then the ice maker quit working & broke. The freezer door wouldnt close correctly. We called Sears Repair since Samsung gave us the run around. Sears came 4 times. We paid for new gaskets, new hinges, new ice maker, new mother board. Ice maker doesnt work nor has it since the guy left after putting it in. Water flows into the crisper drawer & floods our kitchen every so many days. UNREAL for a $2000 cost put extended warranty! I wouldnt buy Samsung again. We also have a plasma tv & sound board neither work correctly!
I bought the refrigerator from Lowes a few years ago. The model is RFG297. It froze the foods inside the refrigerator. The cold water flow is not working. Ice will be built up in bottom of refrigerator. It is the worst refrigerator which I have ever had. How can I fix it?
I bought a Samsung dishwasher DW80H9930US/AC in Feb 2015. First problem within a few months was it wouldnt drain, a new pump was installed by a service company. 2nd problem was the door leaked, 4 service calls later, a new seal and latch, the door leaks the same. Samsung 800 service center said they would send a tech out again to fix. 2 weeks and 2 calls to the 800 and no response from anyone. I am now using a clamp on each side of the top of the door to prevent the door from leaking and so I can still use it. It has also leaked on my hardwood floor causing damage. The D/W is junk.
Purchased Samsung Oven (flex), Washer, Dryer, and Dishwasher. 11/24/2017. Washer completely died last March - unable to fix, wiring harness issue. This week Oven has taken on a life of its own - no matter what you push (including warming drawer) the broiler comes on. You’ll get a C21 overheat warning and door locks. Customer Service gave me the number of a phone repair company to call for repairs. I can promise you I will never purchase anything in future with Samsung on it - absolutely no quality.
I bought this fridge as part of a whole kitchen package when I remodeled 2 years ago. Im not sure it ever cooled as cold as previous fridges, but this one is different. The controls are different, very different. Gone is the dial that goes from off to high cool. A panel of buttons and lights, hold this button down for three seconds for this, 5 seconds for that, hold down both at the same time for 5 seconds for that, this is on when that light is off. If it stops cooling it might have gone back to show room mode etc.The fridge might run fine but I am unable to find the right variation of buttons and lights to push for how long at the right time. The manual and online is no help at all. There doesnt seem to be a Samsung rep to call, Ive decided to have it hauled off and buy something with an on and off switch. The fins might be clogged up but they are inaccessible for home owners. Repair people want $200 just to show up and that does not apply to repair. Extra to diagnose. It would be very easy to pay more for repair than I paid for the fridge. They seem to deny there is a warranty or it would apply to my issue.
I have owned a Samsung French door, bottom freezer, model RF197ACWP for a year and a half and have had pooling of water under and inside the crispers and a layer of ice forming in the bottom of the freezer. This is apparently a common problem with this model, a manufacturing defect. I have never experienced any issues with any refrigerators I have owned in such a short period of time. The last refrigerator I owned lasted 15 years without problems and the one before that 20 years! Also, just after a year with this inferior product, the white door handles started to peel, exposing polished chrome or steel. I thought the cosmetic damage was the worst of my complaints! Little did I know. I will not consider buying Samsung products again, as its customer service is unresponsive in addressing complaints.
Model 9187, Samsung Microwave SE code - On 6/19/13, I found several complaints and videos of how to fix the SE code on-line. I dreaded a fight, but finally called Samsung on 6/11 and talked with Amanda who could not have been nicer. She acknowledged the issue, said theyd fix it, no charge (my micro was purchased 3/21/11 - no extended warranty) and told me someone from Quality Appliance in Houston would call. Audra from Quality called a couple of hours later, again, very pleasant and professional. They followed up, gave me an ETA and Michael came a little while ago and replaced the touch panel. Its all fine now. I really like my microwave and had missed it. The entire experience was most impressive. Gee, I love dealing with actual human beings rather than machines and even better, folks who speak English. Thanks, Samsung and Quality!
Im now just starting to deal with Samsung and what a disappointment. My icemaker is not making ice very fast and never has filled the container. I get about a half sandwich Ziploc bag full after 3 days. The fridge is only 4 months old and I have spent almost a month of that running test that they are having me do to try to fix it. Now it looks like they want me to send a part from my freezer to them to look at on my dime. That isnt going to happen. As far as Im concerned they can come and fix it. I dont have the means or even know if Im sending the proper part to them to fix, Not to mention, Im not going to take a chance on breaking something taking it apart.I purchased this from Home Depot and shame on them. They should be held somewhat responsible as they sell this product to their customers and have been for years and Im sure knowing full well the problems Samsung has with their fridges. I asked before I purchased it if there were any problems with this brand, and the answer I got was not a one, it is one of the best fridges they sell. I would not recommend buying a Samsung fridge to anyone and I would definitely be interested taking part in a class action lawsuit.
We bought a Samsung Dishwasher Model DMT800RHS in 2011. Repaired it several times due to rack clips breaking off and getting stuck in the impeller. Samsung did not fix the faulty design on those clips and just sent replacement parts. Guess what, they broke again. In 2014.08.05 the dishwasher would not power up at all. Repair person attended and cost $500.00 for the repair! The machine cost me $859.90. In 2014.10.15 the machine broke again, no power at all. The Tech re-attended but now out of the 90 day warranty. He did get it working for 1 day and claimed he did not know what the issue could be but dont call him back as now out of warranty. Great. Next day, machine broke and has been ever since. Called Samsung. Wont help as machine out of warranty. This is clearly a manufacturer defect with the electronics. My only option is to take Samsung to court! Do not buy Samsung dishwashers!!
We bought the Samsung over-the-counter microwave brand new in 2010. It worked very well and looked great. But it hasnt even lasted FIVE YEARS. 6 months ago the door latch broke; we repaired it ourselves with $75+ in parts. A month ago this started happening: when we open the microwave door, the unit turns ON and runs; only way to not cook my hand is to unplug it. Its headed to the recycle bin. There is no excuse for a product this expensive (retail $349 at Lowes) to last less than 5 years. No warranty that long is available. Will not *ever* look at Samsung brand for kitchen appliances again.
All I can say is that I wish I had read reviews on Samsung refrigerators before I purchased mine. Ive owned Samsung TVs and smart phones that are all exceptional and I thought the same would be true with Samsung appliances but I was dead wrong. Brand new refrigerator model # RF263BEAESG - only 6 months old - started leaking water out of the left side top where electrical wires are coming out of the top of refrigerator. Contacted Samsung. They created a repair ticket. After five days and no one showed up I called the service company only to go to voice mail. Call Samsung back and they give the service ticket to another service company... same thing 2nd time - service company wouldnt come to my house. After three weeks into the ordeal, Samsung said they would refund the purchase price of my refrigerator. To get my money back I had to provide the original sales receipt, sign a contract saying I would dispose of the old refrigerator and not continue to use it, send the labels inside the refrigerator to Samsung showing model & serial # and cut the electrical cord. After complying with Samsungs request I then get an email two weeks later saying they dont have the serial # and we cannot move forward even though they had the serial # from my initial call for service. After several days of fighting this battle I get a call from Samsung saying they found the serial # but before they can process the claim now I need to go out and purchase a new refrigerator and show them the receipt for the new purchase. In addition, I need to show them a receipt from a haul away company that disposed of my refrigerator with the leaking ice maker.Refrigerator was purchased from Home Depot. I have contacted the manager of the particular Home Depot store but so far they havent offered much help. I Home Depot manager that given my experience and experiences Ive read about from other consumers that if I were him I will completely discontinue selling Samsung appliances. Ive owned many appliances over my 72 year life span and NEVER have I EVER experienced such an horrific experience. Given the runaround Ive received from Samsung I doubt very seriously Ill ever receive a refund for my refrigerator. Stay away from Samsung appliances, particularly their refrigerators.
Bought Samsung side by side refrigerator, dishwasher, and range. Ice maker overfills and drops the cubes frozen into one slab. Causes sugar to jam and busts ice bin. Replaced 3 times while still under warranty. Requested Samsung send a tech to fix problem but was told they could not do that, best they could do was mail an ice bin. Fan started making noise that got louder & louder. Eventually realized ice was building up behind the wall. I was still denied service. Have to manually defrost every few months! Now out of warranty and bin busted again. Not paying $160 for a bin that will just bust. Have a plastic box to catch the ice and dont use the dispenser. Dishwasher is also a piece of junk! Doesnt drain properly and smells awful! Stove is the only thing that hasnt given problems yet!
I purchased direct cool Samsung refrigerator model RR2115 TABRK/TL in May 2012. In six year of span two time I have got it repair for poor cooling and not freezing the ice. So it is non reliable product to recommend.
All of the negative reviews are true. This ice build up problem is real. I’ve had it fixed twice in 3 years since I bought it. Our washing machine has been shaking and making weird noises as well as the dryer. The dishwasher started leaking right before I started this review which led me to write it to warn people not to buy Samsung appliances. 3 years and nothing but headaches. I have a 20 year old Frigidaire refrigerator in my basement and it works better than my new one. Shame on you Samsung for not helping your consumers. I will never buy Samsung again.
Samsung slide-in, glass cooktop over oven, Model NE58F9710WS - We have been using the range for approximately one year and are generally satisfied with its performance. However, it poses a SERIOUS FIRE and BURN HAZARD. The burner controls are on the front, only 33 inches above the floor, and are easily and OFTEN turned on simply by brushing against them. If there were children in our household, I would have to replace the Samsung with a safer range. We are very careful to not leave anything on the stovetop. Recently though, I was on my knees cleaning the oven when I felt heat coming from the cooking surface. I had momentarily placed the oven partition there and it was now fused to the cooktop. Unknowingly, I had accidentally bumped a control knob with my shoulder. When I lifted the (smoking) partition, it took a dime-sized divot out of the glass top. I accept responsibility for the damage, but this would not have happened if the controls were not as exposed and so easily activated. Now we must shell out several hundred dollars for a repair! Theres an electronic lock-out for the oven controls, why not something similar for the cooktop?
Since the freezer is on the bottom I feel it creates water to form or ice depending on the temp at the base of the refrigerator. But the freezer is large enough, has 2 drawers, plenty of space.
We purchased a top of the line Samsung Dishwasher Model DW80H995OU5/AA. After less than two days of use, it would no longer complete a wash cycle and the door would not stay closed. Upon further inspection we also discover the rear panel of the cabinet was severely bent. After a call to the local dealer, he called back the next day reporting that Samsung would not let him service the machine, but only a Samsung Service Center. Samsung wanted two business days to contact the center to set the appointment. After some discussion they agreed to contact the Local Authorized Service Center (Remedy Appliance Service and Repair) while I was on the line. The Samsung Customer rep. disconnected the line without the connection. I tracked the Authorized Service Center down and offered to pay them to look at the machine. An Authorized Service Representative looked at the machine, determined it was not repairable. He took pictures and told us Samsung would call in one to two business days. They did not. I called Samsung, talking to several service representatives. My request was to remove the machine and return my money, as the machine worked less than 24 hours. The washer cost $1,600. I have now been on the phone with four customer service representatives including executive customer service. I have been told after further extensive processing, I might have my money returned in 14 to 21 days, however the process they describe is about four days, requiring further extensive time on our part. Just horrible service.
Double convection electric range bought for our new home in Nov 2014. Attempted self-cleaning, only my 3rd time in 2 years. Half way thru the control panel died. Cant even open door as it is still in lock mode. Was told to turn breaker off then on. Nothing. The repair number Samsung gave me doesnt ever answer phone. Waiting now for Sears technician. Would not buy Samsung again.
Bought a Samsung refrigerator less than two years ago at Sears and it just started leaking water into the bottom drawers. Called service and were told nothing could be done, that this is a common problem with the SAMSUNG refrigerators. The ice maker will not stop making ice. In order to make it stop we have to do it manually. DONT BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR. We will make an effort to communicate to as many thousands people as possible (how about making a viral video to show on social media?) that SAMSUNG does not care about customers problems...
I purchased a Samsung Conventional Oven from Best Buy in August 2011. The stove worked great until now. I was preheating the oven to bake lasagna and could smell burning plastic. I looked in the oven to make sure there was nothing burning inside and there was nothing. As I closed the door and stepped back, sparks started shooting out of the stove top and smoke was everywhere. I had my two month old son and my three dogs with me in the kitchen. Luckily none of them were injured. The ash from the blowout was all over my kitchen. The breaker blew (thank god) and I immediately unplugged the stove. I could not see an obvious signs of a problem until I really looked at the back of the stove. Where the plug is connected was covered in black ash. I removed the panel to find that the area where the plug connects was completely melted.I have had this stove for almost four years now. THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED!! Im still scared to death that this could have caused a house fire or an injury to my son, myself or my dogs. I will be contacting Samsung to see what can be done. I have read horror stories about their customer support but I have my receipt and pictures to back me. This is UNACCEPTABLE!
Purchased a Samsung dishwasher 8/29/13. Big mistake! The main problem is the unit stopping 5-10 min. into the cycle. Samsung should absolutely recall this product and reimburse the consumer for THEIR error. Its terribly frustrating!!
Bought two fridges. Within 4 months water was accumulating on the bottom of the fridge compartment in one then the second one did same at six months... Replaced fridge fan on both since ice buildup damaged both units... Replaced heater elements on both as they both failed, replaced PC board main on both as well as PC inverter board. One is running. Other has died again with the user-control-and-display-board having failed along with freezer fan failure. Now has burnt insulation smell and no power to interior lights. Repairman was stumped. Considering using these appliances as anchors. Never had so much trouble and spent so much on two fridges. Worthless. Samsung should stick to making phones.
We bought this in Sears on 12/30/2013 and it was delivered in January of 2014. We did not buy the extended warranty. Weve had nothing but problems with it. It doesnt clean well, shuts down mid cycle and the sensor touch buttons are ridiculous. This dishwasher isnt two years old and again its showing the sensor light and shutting down.
Samsung refrigerator RF217ACBPXAA - I purchased a Samsung refrigerator less than 2 years ago. Water accumulated in the vegetable and fruit bins. A repairman came and fixed the problem. One month later, it happened again. A repairman came and fixed it, but said he couldnt say that it wouldnt happen again. Freezing occurs and clogs the water from making ice, therefore backing up and coming into the bins. Less than 2 weeks later, it happened again. Samsung says that the repairman has to state that it cannot be repaired for them to take another course of action. I searched online and found this to be a problem with many. I am considering a class action suit. Please advise.
