I bought the Samsung French door refrigerator from SEARS in May 2014. Bought the extended warranty. The compressor went out Sept 1 2014, lost my food, had out of town visitors, and a technician wouldnt be there for four days. After 4 days, compressor wont be replaced for another week. Sears wouldnt let me return it (policy is 30 days). Said I had to first suffer more than once then they would think about it; however, 5 employees I spoke with earlier told me I had a $250 food replacement and I would be able to return it because it was the compressor. Sears did not replace my food but gave me a $50 allowance for future food for each of the 2 weeks I am without a refrigerator. I had my last refrigerator - NOT a Samsung through SEARS - for 24 years. Not only has the quality of the appliance gone down but the service is horrendous and the training of employees is dishonest.

Weve called customer service for Samsung several times. They were not helpful and they did not support the customer need. Samsung knows of a faulty design on the icemakers of their refrigerators yet refuses to acknowledge and make it right for their customers. There is currently an open class action lawsuit for this problem, yet Samsung customer service wants to charge its customers to send technicians out to repair knowing that the icemaker will become faulty again. I am very dissatisfied with Samsung products and will not be purchasing or referring their product again.

Exactly a year after purchasing Samsung Microwave Serial 078G7WOKA04932A Model ME18H704SFS it stopped heating food. I wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing. I read a few of reviews with the same problem. There is a for sure definite problem with this microwave model and should be recalled. Samsung will not admit and take responsibility. Sorry for us suckers.

My Samsung refrigerators icemaker started having issues less than 2 years after I bought it new. I have had 8 service calls in less than a year and the icemaker has been replaced once. The serviceman has said that it cant be fixed. I have called 3 or 4 times to Samsung and have documented to them the service calls and the statement from the serviceman that it cant be fixed. Samsung basically says that they cant do anything because it is out of warranty. Dont ever buy Samsung Appliances! My washer was recalled in less than 6 months and the new one is giving me problems. Class action lawsuit on the refrigerators!

Stove info. Samsung 30” range. Model #NX58K9500WG/AA. Serial #0DQN7DDH600185N. Purchased from Lowe’s on 11/15/16 for $1424.05. Warranty period through Samsung Protection Plus 11/23/2017 to 11/23/22. I am hoping you can help me resolve a problem with Samsung Corporation. We purchased the above stove from Lowe’s in 2016. My husband and I had been noticing headaches and burning eyes for 2 or 3 days — more pronounced when using the oven. As one of our CO detectors beeped off and on, we called the fire department. They checked out the air quality in the house and found carbon monoxide levels 3 times safe levels in the bedrooms. They checked the gas furnace and gas water heater. Neither one was leaking carbon monoxide. The firemen called Alliant Energy because they said Alliant had equipment that more accurately measures deadly carbon monoxide levels. Alliant determined the leak was coming from the Samsung oven. Per the Alliant technician it was not leaking from the connection — it was from the oven itself. We have the written Caution Notice from Alliant Energy stating the defect is in the oven. We also have the run sheet from the fire department indicating CO three times safe levels. I contacted Samsung twice to get them to send a serviceman. The serviceman checked the oven on 12/18. He had no CO detector and did not turn the oven on. His work order said we had no warranty which is incorrect. It also listed “Operation/Smell/Smoke/Burning Smell.” The service was required because of CO leak reported by the Alliant Energy technician not the stated product symptoms. Samsung did not call me back to follow up concerning the repair. I called them requesting the disposition of this dangerous oven which we cannot safely use. I suggested they send another repairman to measure the CO2. The Samsung Pro said they were not going to waste additional time on this repair. A very poor customer service response especially considering the extent the default. I contacted Samsung again on 12/24 restating my complaint, concerns, feeling Samsung is responsible for resolving this dangerous appliance. I was told the situation is in fact very serious and dangerous and Samsung is very concerned about me safety — a script they all repeat. They said someone would contact us in 24 hours. As no one contacted me by 12/29, I contacted Samsung again. Same story, “this is a very serious situation.” The Samsung Pro said he would make a new ticket ASAP, correct the error in the stated repair needed and add the need for a CO measurement tool to confirm the Alliant Energy technician’s report. I offered to send them a copy of the Alliant Energy findings to save them the time and effort they were unwilling to expend in earlier communications. I have contacted Samsung 12/12, 12/17, 12/18, 12/24, 12/29, 1/4, and 1/6. Every time I have contacted Samsung the last line of their communication is “do not use the oven.” It confuses me that Samsung contends the range does not need repair but always note DO NOT TURN THE OVEN ON.We have not been able to use our oven safely (and have been advised by Samsung NOT to turn it on) since 12/11. We have contacted Samsung 8 times — all on my initiation, not their followup. I understand these ranges go down a manufacturing line and errors can happen. What I do NOT understand is why Samsung cares so little about their customer service when their product is clearly and dangerously defective. This defect is not a leaky ice maker — it a poisonous gas-producing range. It is appalling that Samsung is so unwilling to correct an error they created which could cause death to the consumer whose only mistake was purchasing a Samsung product. My latest 2-hour phone conversation today with 3 transfers that resulted in disconnects. The result of the last conversation was in order to resolve these defective stove situation we need a second opinion. Samsung has only one service center and their serviceman checked on our stove with a ticket that had the incorrect problem listed. There is no other Samsung serviceman in this area other than UTech. A second opinion from the the same service company that gave you the first one is like getting a second opinion from your doctor’s partner. Now we cannot move forward because Samsung doesn’t have another service center — how is that our fault. I have a written copy of the service ticket from Alliant Energy to verify their finding. It is difficult for me to understand why we are the people without an oven for almost a month, the people making repeated calls and being on hold for 30-45 minutes, and having to worry about having to settle for a stove in our house that has been repaired by the same company who built the defective one. How reassuring is any of that? Why doesn’t Samsung want to do the right thing? None of this is our fault but we are the frustrated consumer who Samsung does care about. Again, this is not a leaky ice maker — it is a carbon monoxide-producing range. We have no reason to make this up this mess as this is only causing us fear and frustration and Samsung Corporation is not helping at all.

During a heat wave mid January 2014 Victoria Australia this appliance decided to switch itself off. LED lighting on front panel showed no indication of this but the huge puddle on the floor sure did. All of the food in both refrigerator and freezer had to be thrown out. Repair people called, also call to Samsung who told me to try resetting the fridge, long story short. I followed their instructions to the letter, even cancelling the repairman.. What about all my food? Sent me forms, I sent back with photos of some of food on my tiled floor. On repeated phone calls was asked for receipts of food that was spoiled. Well slap me dead, please! Who keeps receipts on food, esp when frozen things could be 3 plus months ago.I was offered $100.00 compensation. I said that was not good enough. Do you know how expensive meat is? Anyway contacted consumer affairs here in Australia. They could do nothing except of advise to contact another govt organization and lodge a claim with them, VCAT, not to mention there is a cost involved with that. Three months on, no contact, no cheque and this last time I or my family will buy anything associated with Samsung.

Updated on 05/05/2020: Sumsung does not stand by their appliances. Two weeks ago, my Samsung microwave - 4-1/2 yrs.old - turned itself on. Didnt hear it running until the fan came on. By that time, it had melted a splatter cover to the turntable. We had to unplug it to get it to stop. The unit was red hot. If we werent home, there could have been a serious fire. Samsungs response - a free service call to diagnose the problem. We would have to pay for the part ($121) plus labor. They assume no responsibility for a potentially dangerous situation. Weve already replaced the Samsung French door refrigerator because of a defective ice maker that would cost $500+ to repair (there is a class action lawsuit concerning this) as well as a potential $300 fan repair. We have had to replace the control panel on the Samsung range 5 months ago. All the Samsung appliances were bought new and delivered Jan. 29, 2015. My advice to anyone considering Samsung appliances - find another brand. Regardless of what Consumer Reports says (which we consulted before making the purchase), buy ANYTHING but Samsung. Thanks for letting me vent.Original Review: We have a Samsung microwave purchased on 2014. Today, the microwave evidently turned itself on without the fan. By the time the fan turned on and I heard it running, it had melted a plastic splatter cover to the turntable. We were unable to turn it off and had to go to the breaker to shut it off. If we werent home at the time, there could have been a fire in our kitchen. This is a very dangerous situation. This is the second Samsung appliance causing issues. We just replaced a Samsung refrigerator also purchased in 2014 that had weekly ice maker jams (we understand there is a class action suit against Samsung for this issue). All I can say is it is very fortunate we were home when the microwave malfunctioned. I intend to replace the microwave and report this issue directly to Samsung. Im sure there is no recourse except to repair or replace the unit. At this point, I have lost all faith in any Samsung appliance and will never purchase this brand again.

From the time we purchase the refrigerator, there were problems with non-functioning icemaker, leaking water that froze at the bottom of the inside compartment, and worst of all, a refrigerator that when set on 44 degrees would freeze down below 32 degrees! Go ahead and buy a hairdryer if you own a Samsung refrigerator, it will be your new best friend. Same problems as everyone else, freeze ups on evaporator fan and coils, water leaking out of the bottom, spoiled food, loud irregular noises, and the ice maker doesnt function properly. Just two years of ownership has convinced me that Samsung is incompetent at building a reliable refrigerator. I regret ever purchasing this unit and will NEVER buy or recommend that ANYONE buy their products. Samsung YOU SUCK!!!! This thing is junk and I want my money back so I can buy a reliable brand!!! If I had the money I would ship this useless hunk of junk back to Samsung headquarters with a note to the president of the company.Direct your complaints here: officeofthepresident@sea.samsung.com. Within a few months had issues with the brand new dishwasher. First off it wouldnt latch right, so it wouldnt start. Repairman even said in the future to get a model with a latch you turn and lock yourself. It was under warranty, guy came out about four days later and fixed that. When he left and we ran a cycle, suddenly it wouldnt drain. Guy came out again a few days later, took a look and said it needed a new computer board. They mailed it to my house. Took over a week. After not being able to get the guy to the house, he missed an appointment then showed up the next day while I was at work, we put it in ourselves (Almost 3 weeks, over 2 weeks with water in the bottom of the dishwasher that even with baking soda etc, was starting to stink up the kitchen!). Worked ok for about 8 months. Now it seems like it needs another computer board because it isnt drying the dishes. Its only 18 months old!

I bought this refrigerator because of the high tech features. For weeks I tried to sync my calendar from my phone to the refrigerator screen with no success. I admit I am not that savvy on tech, but I had two people who are and they gave up. I had the box for less than a year. The lock on the water/ice control comes on and you have to go through the screen to find the lock and unlock it. For the second time, the dispenser will not toggle from ice to water. The entire part was replace less than a month ago and I am having the same problem. I love the idea of high tech and the integration but clearly, if you cant get a Samsung phone to sync with the Samsung refrigerator there is a problem. This was NOT a cheap unit so I am frustrated to pay so much and have nothing but problems. The customer service is terrible. They always tell you to reboot the computer or turn off the refrigerator and refresh it by plugging it back in after a minute. Easier said than done. The refrigerator is in a cabinet and I have to roll it out and squeeze in to unplug it and plug it in again. I had a Kenmore for 15 years and never had to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to work. I am very dissatisfied with this appliance.

I bought this refrigerator/freezer, Model # RF26XAEPN43FE4BZ100091T, in latter part of March or early April 2010. The refrigerator stopped cooling on Thanksgiving evening. I had to rent a refrigerator to store all of my leftover food. Plus the other items I had in the refrigerator. It was under warranty. The repairman didnt come until the next week. It was frozen in the back. It was repaired and two other times the same thing happened. When the warranty ran out, I gave up on having it fixed. It began to freeze all of vegetables and fruits. Also, anything liquid. I called Samsung Tuesday 5/02/2017. I was told that I would have to have a technician come out and assess the problem. I called again on 5/03/2017. Silly me I thought that they were going to cover the $125.00 for the tech. I proceeded to question the person that I was talking to. He kept putting me on hold, because he could not answer my questions.I finally asked if I could send a letter or speak to someone who could authorize payment for the tech and the repairs. I was told that my appliance was out of warranty. I already knew that. The phone person told me someone higher up will contact me. The odds of that happening are less than one out of a trillion. My icemaker does not work. The door freezes; I stopped messing with it. I just wanted to vent my frustration, so now I have. I will never buy another Samsung product. I have been unable to locate my receipt; I bought the product at Lowes in Newport News, VA.

We bought the over-the-range oven, Samsung model# SMH9187ST in May 2010. In June 2011, the error code - SE - appeared on the display. Tried to unplug/restart. That worked for a couple of times. Called to Samsung customer service, that told me that nothing can be done, since the 1 year of warranty has expired, but we can pay out of pocket to get it serviced. Naturally, we refused, since it would make more financial sense to buy a new oven, than to service an old one that would get broken in another year or so. Samsung doesnt stand for its products. Its a fairly simple kitchen appliance to be broken after 1 year of use. Would be very reluctant to buy another Samsung product, again. For the past 2 years, its been used as the over-the-range night light.

We strongly feel that Samsung should stick to making cell phones. We bought our refrigerator (as well as a Samsung d/w) from Sears about three years ago and we are already at the point of having to replace the fridge. We are not AT ALL happy about having to cough up the money again after spending $1600 the first time on what turns out to be a piece of junk that has given us nothing but problems. The last repair person who came out to fix it through our home warranty program (because Samsungs warranty expired the week before we had our first major issue with the appliance) said that he worked almost exclusively on Samsungs because they are what the vast majority of his service calls are about. That was eye opening!

We bought new home and furnished with new Samsung kitchen appliances. Within the first four weeks, my wife start to notice tiny rust spots inside sheet metal tub of dishwasher. We called Lowes where we had purchased the appliances. The Lowes sales associate called Samsung dealer support customer service and they scheduled an in-home technician visit. The technician cancelled the appointment 2 hours before showing up and re-scheduled again. I took time off from work during week day for the technician visit. When technician showed up, he assessed that it is in fact rusting. He has seen parts corroded before but never this fast on the sheet metal. He said he can fix/repair things but with rust he cannot do anything. The unit needs to be exchanged. I asked him to take pictures for his documentation which he was not thinking off so he did. I waited a week but did not hear anything. So, I called and put on hold for half hour because Samsung customer service said they cannot locate any information on technician visit and they are now tracking him down. After half hour gone, I asked the agent to sort this internal between Samsung departments and get back to me. Another week gone by, no one followed up so I called again. This time was exact repeat of week before, put on hold again for half hour and still no information available from technicians visit. Like the week before, the agent asked me of the name of technician who visited our house. At this point, I was extremely frustrated and told the agent that this is something Samsung should know why customer has to call each week to sort out Samsung internal process. As a customer, I expect resolution of my problem not to help Samsung of their back office issues. I expect someone to take ownership of the issue, follow-up with whomever and get back. I ended called after half hour when agent could not locate the technician or any details of his visit. Later in the evening, I called again to see if the agent was able to find technician or find any information, the result was same. However, agent promised that someone call me next business day without me calling them back.I received a call from Samsung executive customer service that they now have the findings of the technician and indeed there dishwasher is getting rust. However, the cannot offer any exchange because the rust is cosmetic issue and they cannot offer any exchange. They cannot offer any other option and suggested to consult with the retailer. When I asked who is going to reimburse for installation cost of the dishwasher, I was told that Samsung will not reimburse. When I asked, who will reimburse for my time including time off from work for in-home technician visit and subsequent calls over three week dealing with this lemon? The answer was sorry we dont offer anything. I asked to speak to senior leadership; I was told there is no one that the agent can forward the call to.At this point, I have decided to work with Lowes to see if I can return all Samsung appliances worth over $5000 including front loading washer and dryer, large French door fridge and off course this defective dishwasher. I cannot trust the quality and workmanship of Samsung products. Period! What a shame, a company continues to make defective products. This is not the first time I have this experience, back in 2009 when I bought 55 high-end LCD TV, its LCD panel went out after first year and when they replaced the new LCD panel, six months later, it malfunctioned again resulting in swapping to a LED TV in working with their executive customer service.

I bought Samsung model RF30HBEDBSR 2 years ago. The French door, fridge on top, and freezer double drawer on the bottom with a bonus drawer between that can vary the temp/use. On the one yr anniversary the ice maker made mushy, crushed-only ice. Samsung customer service sent me the door part free and scheduled a repair guy of their choosing. NOOO. Over twice the going rate. I hired someone else. Six months later the ice maker itself (cleverly placed IN THE REFRIGERATOR) froze over. I defrosted it with my blow dryer occasionally for the next 6 months. I tried to hire someone to evaluate/fix it and was told by the first 6 that they either dont fix Samsung fridges or never the ice maker. Huh? Finally someone let me in on a poorly kept secret (except by Samsung who believe they walk on water), their ice makers are overly complicated pieces of junk, frequently unfixable. We replaced the entire ice maker body (part ordered through Sears) and after spending almost 2 hours melting enough ice to be able to remove the original part, put the new one in in 15 minutes. I was told that this is almost always a failure in the computer chip in this part, resulting in water continuing to flow after the tray is full... Ice build-up-hell. Cost me $154 plus the part Id bought and weeks of 7/11 ice. Supposedly these fail between 2 months and 2 years. And all the replacement parts are just the same as the original! Rinse, repeat. OMG! I spent $1,500 at Best Buy plus over $400 in the 1st 2 years already. I have never had to have any prior fridge need repair in 30 years! I replaced them every 10 or so years for newer better models. Until now... I will never ever buy a product from Samsung as long as I live. I even hated the one phone of theirs. I didnt mention the HOURS I spent trying to deal with customer service.

It is now time for me to replace both appliances as they are falling apart and do not work properly. I have called Samsung customer service several different occasions. They are not helpful. Youre on hold for 20 minutes to be told you need to call another number. I feel as though they should stick to making stereos and televisions. Thats all theyre good for. I will never the rest of my life purchase another Samsung product period!

Samsung 4-door fridges ice maker is junk. $2,000 Samsung fridge breaks after 2-1/2 years! I had a Maytag for 22 years and it never was serviced and was still running fine when I retired it for peace of mind. Enter Samsung - so much for peace of mind. Ice maker began leaking before a year was up. Kept removing ice buildup. But at 2-1/2 years, the ice maker quit working. Motor was bad. Water sprayed around tray from supply hose encased in ice. Locked ice tray in place, so couldnt remove. Stopped producing ice. Service rep was good (no complaint), but cost quoted at $300 for service call and new motor. Water supply hose issue cant be resolved. Obviously, lots of ice maker issues posted here. Shame on Samsung. Cant make ice; cant make phones.

Like many, didnt read reviews... bought $2000+ fridge in 2014. The ice maker stops working within first year! Repair person said it was the drawer. Fixed for a month or so and then back to ice buildup on the tray which jams the ice maker! We are constantly chipping ice out of the ice maker and de-thawing it with a hair dryer! One thing I am going to check is the 2% back level that the fridge is supposed to be leveled to. A previous post brought this up. From the sounds of the reviews, I am in for many more problems! We bought a new set of Samsung for the house (wash/dryer, refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher). No issues with them except for the dishwasher. The DMT800 is the most expensive Samsung dishwasher, and seems to have a lot of issues in my research. After only three days old, we got Error Code 5E (or SE): blocked line. Then we reset the breakers, unplugged it...made sure no vent line was pinched... Then it worked for three days, before we got Error Code PE.We called Pacific Sales (the retail store), and they will NOT return a dishwasher... NO return policy (after only a week since purchase). They scheduled a repairman in two weeks, and told us to call Samsung to try to get an earlier appointment.Spent a total of 2.5 hours going back and forth with Samsung and Pacific Sales, as you are required by Samsung to perform various steps to resolve the issue (like resetting circuit breaker, unplugging it for 20 minutes, running it empty, running it in sanitize mode...).We were told by the retailer, Pacific Sales, that Samsung repairs are behind schedule (maybe because of their bad dishwashers) and that the earliest appointment is in two weeks! They said to call Samsung directly to try to get them to come out earlier. After over three hours of calls...we are to wait another two days to see when the Earlier Possible appointment may be. The dishwasher went down five days ago, and now we may go two weeks (washing by hand like we did as kids... oh fun!).TIP: Not sure what the cost is for the Extended Warranty, but saw many websites with reviews that it may be worth getting, as you will have guaranteed issues over the first 1.5 years.TIP: Also, does installing yourself void the warranty? They charge $95 for installs... After the first repairman comes, we will only let the repair guys touch it to maintain the warranty.TIP: A common problem is with the racks breaking (top one specifically), so call Samsung immediately if it happens, as you may need to do it a few times before warranty is up.

We purchased our Samsung RF 4287HARS in 2011 and began using it in 2012. The ice dispenser has stopped working because of a broken plastic switch inside the dispenser module. The ice maker is producing ice but it cannot be dispensed from the dispenser. Based on a little investigating we have found this is not an uncommon problem. We contacted Samsung on several occasions to correct this apparent product defect. Trying to get someone on the telephone has been challenging and extremely time consuming. At this point, we have not received a favorable response. It appears that the product (see attached picture) is defective and poorly designed but Samsung is not responding to our requests for assistance. We remain hopeful that Samsung will agree to correct this apparent design flaw and show us that they are willing to stand behind their highly taunted refrigerator.

RF263BEAESR/AA - We bought this fridge less than two years ago. I agree with the other reviews that it is a bit noisy but thats not the worst problem we have. The ice maker is awful! The ice remains in the chute (in the door) and then melts and leaks out of the dispenser! We end up with water dripping down the front as well as inside the fridge, in the door shelves and under the produce drawer. We have to keep a folded paper towel under the dispenser constantly! We also have to open the door and reach inside the ice chute with a small spoon to scoop out whatever left over ice remains there or else it will melt and leak everywhere! HOW can we all start a class action suit?

I have bought 3 major appliances from Samsung and I must say Im sorry I did so. My refrigerator had 3 problems the 1st year and 30 days after the fix, it died again only to hear Samsung say, Too bad, so sad. My washing machine just after warranty died. Too bad, so sad. And now my $2,000 60 Plasma after 2 years went bad. Too bad, so sad. I have literally wasted hours and hours on the phone with the support groups and the customer satisfaction groups. The best that they offered was a one-time visit for parts only by the tech to repair the problem. So, if I get a new tech or one that doesnt care and a 2nd visit is necessary, I pay for the labor and parts on the visit. Again, I pay labor and diagnosis the 1st visit they pay for parts, but when asked if the tech needs to come back, will they pay for parts? Their reply is, You can call us and we will see. Translation: Screw you. I have spent over $5,000 in the last 3 years with them and I wont ever buy another SAMSUNG PRODUCT again. EVER! General Motors did the same thing to me at 42K miles when the head gasket let loose and blew the motor on my car. I now own Toyotas & Hondas. Koreans build crap as do the Chinese. If you want quality, stick to Sony, Hitachi, or Toshiba. I am now on a campaign to spread the word about Samsungs quality issues. $5,000 gone for 3 products that were crap within the warranty period or just after. Beware America. Dont ever buy any Korean-made products at all. That includes Hyundai/Kia. This was a Samsung Plasma TV model # PN60E7000FFXZA.

The dishwasher is one year old and from day one smelled like football locker room, even when it was empty. It was installed by Home Depot. I re-routed the drain hose higher to keep water from the disposal from back-flowing into the dishwasher, which I assume has no back flow prevention valve, given the amount of water left in the sump after running. No change. Ive owned and installed many, many dishwashers and never had an odor problem, even when they were full of dirty dishes. We bought a second home home with brand new Samsung appliances. A Stove, Microwave, Dishwasher, refrigerator, washer and dryer. We have issues with every one of them! Poor design and poor engineering is consistent throughout the entire line. I wouldnt even recommend them to my worst enemy! The seller paid $500 for a transferable extended warranty. It took him 3 months of constantly calling Samsung and hours of arguing to finally get the warranty transferred! So, if you have an issue with a Samsung appliance, well, good luck.In addition to the constant horrible smell, the dish racks are very poorly laid out and waste a lot of space. Good luck trying to fit 12 place settings into this. It does a poor job of removing coffee stains from cups. The upper rack has only 2 height settings. On the higher one even small saucers hit the very useless top cutlery rack. On the lower setting you run the risk of the washer arm hitting any moderately tall dishes or pans, which causes food to stick to the dishes.I am speculating that the smell is caused by incomplete draining. There is filter that needs constant cleaning, but even keeping it clean doesnt prevent the smell. There is a sump under the filter where water pools, but that should be clean water? But many other dishwashers leave some water in the bottom and do not have this horrible smell. And, at this price point, the dishwasher should have a food grinder instead of a filter that needs constant cleaning! Again, poor design and engineering! The dishwasher is very quiet, and if you set it up within the confines of the poor design and engineering, it will usually get things fairly clean. But you can find many, many other dishwashers for much less money that will do a much better job every time, and smell fine even with a load of dirty dishes. Dont fall in love with the pretty face! Buy something that works!!!!

Again. Bought a Samsung French door refrigerator #RF263BEAESR/AA and within the first year we had to have several service calls for the ice maker freezing up and dripping down the fridge into the crisper drawer and ruining all the food also causing bad smells. The serviceman even showed us the design flaws and how to melt the ice but it was always a temporary fix as it continues to happen. We do not even try to use the ice maker at this point. We always keep a bag of ice in the bottom freezer. We are currently living out of two coolers for our daily essential foods as now the fridge is not getting cold enough and the freezer is not working. This was not a cheap purchase. I just moved into a new house late last year and it had a fairly new Samsung Over-the-Range Microwave Oven installed. This was working fine for the last few months until one day, it started giving us an SE error on the display and none of the other buttons would work. Initially, this would go off on its own but would then come back and until one day, it came back and just wouldnt go off. We browsed the internet and found that there was a whole sea of people that have reported this issue and turns out that it is a quite common problem. The microwave has just passed its warranty and Samsung now expects us to pay for the service and parts if they fix it. Considering this is a common problem faced by so many people, I think they should do a recall and get these fixed for everyone. The model I have is SMH9207ST. I am following up on my last post on this appliance. I was promised a callback yesterday in regards to my freezer not working in my 7-month-old Samsung (4-door). I called today and was told by Alicia at Samsungs executive customer relations line that they will not honor my request for reimbursement for the food I lost. She said because the freezer started freezing again, there is nothing wrong with it and it doesnt need a service call. She said that if they sent someone to service it, they would have reimbursed me for the food. I told her to send someone as appliances are not self-healing and there has to be a problem for this to happen in the first place and I am afraid to put anything else in the freezer. She told me I must have pushed a button, such as the child lock button for this to have happened. I have never touched this panel. It is exactly as it was when it was installed. I also wonder why if the child lock button had been pushed, would all the food thaw out? She said they could do nothing for me. No service call, no reimbursement.

My microwave that I purchased in April 2011 has been giving me issues months after I purchased. The panel has been replaced about 4 or 5 times and continued to have issues like beeping for no reason, lights on and off without being touched and going out for weeks and returning back to life after weeks of not working. I have made plenty of phone calls about 40 between Samsung and their technicians with little luck. At times they closed my file just because and i would have to start the process all over again. Since my microwave has completely stopped working in August 2014 they said they would fix and came out 3 times to diagnose the same issue but never fixed it. I was told by tech he was going to order parts and be back to fix, and never did. It was a lie. They called me 3 other times after that because they wanted to diagnose it again. That makes no sense, but they claim that is the process. I complained with BBB, and Samsung now wants the original purchase receipt that I had already showed the technician in 2012. Since I dont have it they want to partially reimburse me for owning it all this time. Whos fault is that? Not mine. If Samsung would have accepted my product was defective from the beginning I would not have owned it for so long. How can the people put an end to this defective product. They should get sued or make them recall their product. I am tired of Samsung and they should be held accountable for selling faulty products.

Nice fridge; but really, how much money does an average person need to fix repairs? I was going to try and tackle project by myself but will it work or continue the hair dryer every couple of months thawing it out and putting up with dings on the front panel deciding what it wants to do? Any suggestions? Obviously not after reading the reviews. Would never recommend Samsung to anyone. Bad, bad choice I am just fed up with this problem. Thanks Samsung for the Lemon.

We purchased a Samsung side-by-side refrigerator in 2010 and since buying it, we have had problems with the ice maker spilling ice all over my floor every time you use the ice maker. The ice maker bin is too small and does not fit a family of 4 at all. My recent encounter is now, it doesnt defrost so I have to take it apart and use my hair dryer to melt the ice. We found that you have to take it off energy saver mode so that it will defrost. Samsung suggests we dont pack it very much. Amazing! Why did I buy it in the first place? I wanted energy saver, enough space to handle my large family but this is by design. Im very disappointed not to have read reviews first.

We purchased the Samsung dishwasher in 2010, within 6 months the clear glass items were coming out etched, dishes were not getting clean, so we used vinegar to help - it worked for awhile. Have had to use the heavy cycle to get dished cleaned the entire time we have owned the machine. Last week it started leaking in at the bottom of the door, but now looking at our hardwood floor it appears to have been happening for awhile without us noticing.About 2 months ago I noticed the digital #s were losing characters, so some of the time was not showing or the numbers were cut off, so when you thought it was a 7, it was showing as a 1. Now today it has a code error 11 flashing and we cannot figure out why. Havent called a repair person as yet, might be worth just replacing than fixing.

I moved into a new house on Jan 7 2015. The house came with stainless steel appliances (Brand new). I peeled the stickers from the Samsung stove myself... So I know I was the first user. Used it 4 times, smelled a funny smell but the documents said that its OK to have this smell in the first few times, so I didnt pay much attention.Then... short and I had to reset the breaker. Since then the oven wont pre-heat. Call Samsung and they sent out a nice guy that didnt know what to do. He then called Samsung and had been transferred 2 times to speak to 2 different Samsung reps. The 3rd guy asked him to check behind the stove and look for burned wires. My cool tech told him its a brand new stove. Samsung guy asked him to check... Well... bad wiring almost cost me my sons life, my life, my house and everything I have. My tech got an authorization number from Samsung and said that Samsung will call me within 24-48 hours to schedule a pickup and replacement. So... I waited.4 days later I called Samsung, gave them that number and they transferred me to a different department. The lady told me that she cannot help me without a receipt. I told her that I got the stove with the house and its not about a piece of paper. Its about Samsung selling a faulty equipment, a fire hazard in a shape of an oven.No go... Tried to leave a message on their FB page... the guy told me that he is sorry for my inconvenience (its a gas stove, that burned itself and can kill me... they know about it but still selling it... its not an inconvenience, its simply dangerous to let this company sell products!) - but... I need to get him a receipt for him to ask Samsung to take responsibility for its faulty product. Is there any federal commission that can take my oven and investigate it? Maybe cross it with houses that burned? Its like that GM recall... They KNOW about it but wont do a thing until someone will die, even then they maybe try to cover up before taking real action. My advice to you - Stay away from Samsung products! (Cell Phones, Computers, TVs.. anything). Also, Ive seen some other complaints here. Im going to buy a new stove next week. But if theres a class action going on I would like to be a part of it. If theres none, Im interested in filing one and would like to contact other people who had a similar experience. So, please contact me if you can.

We bought a model NE58H9950WS chefs collection slide in range in early 2015. It belongs in a museum, not a kitchen because it looks beautiful but is useless. Preheat the oven to 425*, put a tray of cold food in and an hour later food is still uncooked and temperature is down to 300*. Tried to cook a frozen lasagna that was supposed to take 1 hour at 350 and after 2.5 hours was still cold in the middle. If you cook something like cookies or a pizza it is OK because they have so little mass they dont soak up the heat but anything that weighs more than a couple of pounds simply overwhelms the ovens ability to reheat.Samsung made 2 service calls under warranty and the replaced everything but the problem persists to this day. I noticed they have discontinued this model and taken down all of the negative reviews but the issue of their ovens not holding temperature is not limited just to this model. There are countless other reviews mentioning the exact same issue. Samsung even tries to disclaim the warranty of merchantability in their paperwork, which is a joke since it basically says they can make an oven that doesnt work and theres nothing you can do about it.I would urge anyone to avoid SAMSUNG products. There is a reason they are rated 23rd out of 23 brands on this site for ranges and stoves. It is because their products are junk. I have filed suit in small claims court (fortunately my state has limits on the warranty disclaimers which invalidate it) and will be getting my money back one way or another. Then I will buy another brand of range. This one costs $2500 and doesnt cook food!

Our beautiful and expensive Samsung fridge has locked up several times, requiring a hard defrost. This time it actually burnt up the fan, requiring an emergency overnight purchase of a new fan. And were not sure the new fan will work - the serial numbers on our fan show that its no longer available, and Samsung doesnt have replacements. We had to go with a third party and hope their best guess is right. In the meantime our food is in coolers for two days, and the ** of it is that Im pretty sure that the best case scenario is that this fan will fit, and in a few months it will all freeze solid and lock up and burn the fan out again.Im ready to throw in the towel, but we spent a couple of grand on this (considerable for a not-wealthy family) and my husband wants to keep trying. It would be so bad but apparently this has been going for almost a decade. Im pissed off at Samsung for still putting out this shoddy product, as well as Lowes for continuing to see it. Theyll be hearing from me too.

I bought a Samsung dishwasher Model# DW80F600UTS/AA about 6 months ago. Its no good and did not work out of the box. I was getting an error code that it would not drain on start-up. I had to call for service, explained the problem and a tech was scheduled to come and repair it in a week. Tech came, replace faulty part and it finally ran for the first time. Sure it ran but it has never cleaned the dishes very well and it always leaves a powdery residue on everything. The insides of the dishwasher has a build up of powdery residue in certain areas as well, especially on the bottom. Also I have noticed that it smells when I open the door even with no new dirty dishes in it. You would think that from a place where you pull clean dishes from that it wouldnt have a musty odor coming from it. It just makes me sick to know I have a new expensive dishwasher and I wind up cleaning more dishes by hand than I put in my dishwasher. I also bought Samsung microwave oven and stove but have not had a problem yet except that the clocks have to be reset every 30 months because one run fast and the other runs slow. From what I have been reading I am bracing myself for the other appliances to give me problems. I have not bought the fridge yet and I guarantee it wont be a Samsung! Best of luck to all of those who do not heed the warnings of myself and the others who have posted here.

Buyer beware of purchasing any Samsung home appliance. I purchased a complete stainless steel kitchen set, fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, in July, 2017. They look beautiful, but dont work. Repairmen have been to my home eight times in 4 months. Only the microwave has been problem free. The ice maker has been replaced three times and still makes slushy ice. The dishwasher was delivered with multiple problems, which Samsung claimed were not their fault. Begging with Home Depot got me a replacement from them, not Samsung. Now the finish is coming off in black globs. The stove had an oven door that did not close properly. Multiple trips by Samsung repairman finally resulted in having to have the oven door replaced. That only occurred after long conversations with Samsung customer service, and a request for the address of their administrative office. They said they were doing it for me as a one time courtesy. Their repair service (Lake Electronics in our area) matches Samsung in their incompetence and customer disservice. Be smart and invest your hard earned money in a company whose products are worthwhile.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator 400 LTR from Vaishali, **. From the start, the problem was that the upper portion of the fridge is ice-deposited and the lower portion is warm and the vegetable, etc. gets spoiled. When I complained, the person guided me on phone, around six months back, and said that if I switch off the refrigerator for one night, it will be okay, and this worked. But time and again this problem arises. It is the defect of the Samsung technology and why should I suffer> When I complained, they say that the engineer will come and charge 400 Rs for visit, in my view the basic defect should be removed by Samsung free of charges, or they place my fridge with a new one . I purchased it around 20 months back.

My complaint no. **. Samsung refrigerator broke down after just 1.5 years in service. When you call the customer care they happily say that your warranty has expired and inform that you have to pay INR 400 for the service engineer to visit and analyze the fault first. And imagine the pain when you have to hear one service engineer tells you that the coil is spoilt and gas is leaking, and that you have to pay INR 4000 to rectify these, for a product you paid INR 14000 just 1.5 years back. Over and above this, they say they have no backup spares and it will take 6 days to get it from Delhi (!) in India in a hot and humid climate. Imagine how to manage food without cooling options at home? The call centre is pathetic... Pls. dont buy Samsung home appliances. That customer care execs are sweet spoken, and will speak a lot of Hindi and English but are unable to provide a solution. In spite of making daily calls and telling them that I cannot afford to wait for 6 days, they will make empty promises that they will resolve this as soon as possible but its just a formality and they make no attempts to solve your problems... Your product fails within 1.5 years of purchase. It takes 6 to 7 days for spares to be available. It costs 30% of the product basic price to repair your product just within 1.5 years of purchase. Over and above imagine the pain and agony customer has to go through because there is no cooling option for food at home. At this rate I could have easily purchased a fridge from a roadside vendor who would have given better services than Samsung at half the rate. Give me 1 reason why should customer buy Samsung product for double the rate for such pathetic services. Now you know why Samsung’s mobile phone business is suffering. I am pretty confident their appliances division will be meet the same fate…

Whenever we were in the market to replace our appliances, I always looked to Samsung first. We have 4 Samsung TVs, a refrigerator, 4 smartphones, Blu-Ray player and a washing machine and we love them all. That was until I had the misfortune of purchasing an over the range microwave. Here youve read all the stories about these microwaves and their failure on sensor errors just after the warranty expires. Its a poorly designed product that fails due to the humidity created when cooking on the stove. The only thing worse than the design of the product is Samsungs support for this inferior product.I havent replaced the unit yet because Im afraid the next unit I purchase (Hint: not a Samsung product) will encounter the same problems. I have a countertop microwave someone gave me so I dont really need an over the range model. But when I do the kitchen remodel, Im not sure what to put in its place. Obviously I need some sort of vent so thats where my research now takes me.

A little more than 2 years ago, I bought a Samsung refrigerator (Model RFG295ARRS) at Lowes. This refrigerator has been leaking from day one since. Due to the fact that my house and business were under construction, my appliances from Lowes were not delivered until 9 or 10 months later, and besides this situation, I was not able to occupy my house and business until the City of Lansing granted me permission to occupy. It took about another 3 or four months for me to do that. Due to the fact that my residence and business are in the same building, I ended paying about $2600 for my refrigerator (I do not recall very well, but I still have my receipt). When Samsung technicians came to my house on June 30th, 2012 and July 21, 2012, they told me that my refrigerator is not repairable. I am trying to get back my $328.94 that they charged me to repair it the first time (June 30th). This refrigerator came defective from the manufacturer, that is what one of the technicians told me the first time and he said that the manufacturer knows that but they had kept quiet due to a recall or that they have to recall all the refrigerators. At the same time, this technician told me that he was aware of the problem and that they had fixed before, but they did not do that with mine and that is why I want my money back. Because they lied to me. Samsung is bad, bad product, bad reputation. I will ask my children to put this in Facebook and everywhere so people are aware of this problem. Now I know there are hundreds of complaints.

I was heart-sick when I read all the horrible reviews for the Samsung refrigerators. I have only had model RS265TDRS for 6 months and it quit cooling 2 days ago. Tried the OnLineChat and was sent by the agent to a Samsung link that extolled how you should NEVER put a thermometer in the refrigerator to see what temp it is. I couldnt believe it. Then I put in a work ticket... and heard NOTHING. As I purchased the extended warranty through Conns the appliance store, they do warranty service as well, and when I heard nothing from Samsung.. I called them. They came out within 48 hours and told me the problem was the plastic cover over the coils, and it would take 3 to 5 business days to get the part. I nearly died. I explained this is my only refrigerator and they didnt seem to care. I agreed and after we plugged up the open spaces around the coils with small strips of quilt batting he left. The cooling element does seem to be working... as the vegetable drawers are 42 degrees... but up on the top shelf it is 60 degrees. How do I know??? I left the horrible thermometer they wanted me to immediately take out... in the unit. Now.... the door is telling me that the refrigerator is 34 degrees... but it is not. I FINALLY got the local service company contact information from them... however... the online chat lady said I had to file a work report with them first and then I could call the repair company directly and give them the work order. So! Lets start a lawsuit.... This is insane... to that poor couple who had been using a cooler for over 30 days... I went online and purchased a small GE fridge that I will keep in the garage... or get one sized for a dorm room... to keep your meds in... I am ready to fight them on this one...

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher in 2013 from Lowes. Initially it worked fairly well, however, just like everyone else that has purchased this model, error codes such as E9 started in less than 6 months of use. I watched the videos online and can now take it apart like a professional. Now it is broken again, in a new and inventive way. The rubber parts inside have become soft and need to be replaced. We had the absolute worst experience with Samsung. We called because our freezer was 2.5 years old and both ice makers broken in addition to the freezer. Our freezer wasnt staying at the correct temperature. I called to see what, if anything they can do. They advised me that there is no warranty. I requested the information for an authorized Samsung repairer (they did not offer). I was told that I would need to call and set up the appointment since I was no longer under warranty. I expressed how disappointed I was that our refrigerator was broken and was under 3 years old. He continued to reminded me there is no warranty so that was the end of that. I then called the number provided by the Samsung representative and did not speak with anyone. I chatted with a representative over the internet and explained that I could not get in contact with them and explained that I am loyal customer of Samsung for over 10 years and am in need of assistance. He could not do anything other than tell me that my warranty has expired and that I should call the number provided. I called a total of 4 times and left 2 voice messages. I then contacted via chat to beg for help and he then provided a number to Samsung Emergency Help. However at this exact time my husband was at the house with an unauthorized repair company because we have now been 4 days without a refrigerator and have a house of 6 to provide for. The emergency repair representative said that they cannot help because an unauthorized has touched our appliance. The unauthorized repair man confirmed we had a freon leak which was the reason our temperature was not right in both the refrigerator and freezer compartments in addition to having broken ice makers. The Freon had a 5 year warranty and when a supervisor called me back she said I should have looked at the manual and that that was my responsibility. I reminded her that I told the rep I spoke with everything and I am not too savvy when it comes to diagnosing issues with my refrigerator so I did not know it was the freon, I clearly communicated that the freezer and refrigerator temps where not right and the original rep I communicated that too agreed but still told me I have no warranty so I believed I had no warranty.I was repeatedly blamed for not arguing with the rep about the freon and warranty issue. They blamed me for getting a unauthorized repair man, They said I should have kept calling them when I got no response from their authorized repair facility. The chat rep disconnected/hung up on me (still had questions), when I asked to speak with the supervisor - she stated, You actually spoke with my supervisor already, and went on to explain that her supervisor passed it to her to handle when I requested a supervisor and that I could not speak to anyone else. The supervisor blamed me for not setting an appointment up through them (even after I told her I was clearly told that I have to do it). I did not raise my voice nor did I at anytime use vulgarities or insult anyone that I spoke with.I reminded them that I was a loyal customer with over 14 Samsung products that includes appliances, phones, media equipment, and tables and it meant nothing. I suggested they at least give me a coupon to purchase something else and all was denied. I cannot and will not patronize a company that has such bad service. I talked to Samsung 3 times by phone when I called, 2 time when a supervisor called me, and 2 times by chat and I did not have an acceptable experience. I feel as if the product was defective if everything broke within a week of each other and it was only 2.5 years old. Terrible Service, no I am purchasing a new refrigerator and will not consider a Samsung product again.

Samsung charges more for this black vinyl coating yet they will not cover peeling or flaking of the coating in their warranty even if it occurs in the 1st year. They claim their warranty does not cover aesthetics. It is true, shiny stainless steel blotches on your otherwise nice looking range is ugly but does not affect the functioning of the stove which has been good. Samsung offers no remedy for this problem except that you can replace the peeling panels for hundreds of dollars. Apparently all brands of black stainless steel are this way except for Bosch appliances. Stay away from black stainless steel until they make a product that works and the manufacturers back it up with a warranty.

We are having the repairman in on Monday because for the second time in 2 year our Samsung fridge is freezing lettuce and cheese. Yogurt is turning moldy even though there is still 3 weeks left till expiry. When the fridge works it’s great. When this happens it makes me nervous. We do not have an ice maker and I often wonder if it thinks there is one because it makes this strange clunky noises. Last time this happened we had to unplug the fridge so it could thaw out so they could change a part. I sure hope we don’t have to do this again. We only have 1 fridge so it does cause a bit of an inconvenience. My main problem is that we are losing food. This should not happen.

At first the ice maker was the only problem. That happen about 6 months after we bought it. And the noise of the ice dropping (when it did finally drop, most of the time it was just stuck and tapping loudly) it sounded like a crash in the house. Next the repairman ordered a part that would fix it. It did not. When we called him back he said Samsung does not provide a repair manual and not many people have luck getting the ice maker to function properly. Then the whole control panel went out. I can not find a repair man to even come out to work on it. The food in the refrig. is freezing and the food in the freezer has so much frost on the food we can not eat it. I have read many complaints of the same issues. IS ANYONE INTERESTED IN STARTING A CLASS ACTION SUIT? I believe we have lots of people with these issues and the only solution is to replace the refrigerator. I CANT AFFORD TO WASTE THAT MUCH MONEY. HOW ABOUT YOU?

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator 9 months ago from the Sears home appliance store. Just over 3 weeks ago, I noticed the freezer wasnt cooling. When I called Sears, they informed me that a technician would not be able to come out for 10 days. If I wanted someone sooner, I would have to call Samsung. Samsung sent out a tech within 3 days who said there was a leak and more than likely it would break down again until they can find the source of the leak. Just over a week ago, the freezer stopped cooling again. I called Samsung and they told me that I had to get in touch with someone to repair and I would be compensated, but they had to be certified to work on Samsung. I called the same company that came out before, who, as of 2 days ago, no longer deals with Samsung and 2 other companies who wont work on Samsung at all. Im stuck with a $3000 refrigerator that was purchased less than a year ago with an extended warranty that no one, including Sears or Samsung, is willing to fix!!

I launched a complaint against my refrigerator which I purchased in July 2011. When we start the refrigerator, it is shaking and sounds so high. But after sometime, it will become okay again. After sometime, it creates the same problem. I complained to the dealer and he sent a person. But he cant solve the problem, again after 4 or 5 days. I will come and I will try to solve. But 17 days had passed and there’s no information, nothing. I think this is such a renowned company showing their negligence.

In late 2012, I upgraded my white GE kitchen appliances with stainless stee
In late 2012, I upgraded my white GE kitchen appliances with stainless steel appliances. So I purchased a Samsung stainless steel gas stove and microwave and a Whirlpool fridge from Lowes. The stove and fridge continues to operate smoothly. The microwave worked well the first year then begin to malfunction. The power would cut off in the middle of heating a meal. I would unplug the power cord then plug it back in the outlet after 10 secs to turn the power back on. I thought that it could be an issue with the power outlet or breaker. My electrician confirmed both sources were working properly. So this malfunction occurred often until recently the microwave goes out after 5 secs of running. Then I repeat the plugging and unplugging every 5 to 10 secs until the food warms up. This is frustrating because I always have to drag the tall bar stool and use it as a stepping stool to reach the power outlet inside the rear of the cabinet. Sometimes I get so fed up that I just use the oven or stove to heat up my food. I called Samsung service center today and the rep was very polite, took my model number and zip code and provided me the telephone number of the nearest service technician. I called the number and it was not in service. I called Samsung back and this time I reached a rep who was really nice but we struggled to understand each other because of our accents. I explained to him about my earlier call and that the telephone number wasnt in service. He checked and confirmed that was the only service tech listed in my area. I asked whats the alternative. I was advised that since my microwave was out of warranty that I would need to find my own repairer. I asked what is the lifespan of this model because Ive had it 3 yrs and its been malfunction most of the time. My last microwave came with the home in 2001 and still worked fine over 10 yrs later. This is unacceptable.
