Another Samsung piece of junk. We have a Samsung side by side with bottom freezer and the ice maker has been freezing over ever since the warranty expired. We have to defrost it every week now and seems to be getting more often. We contacted a service rep and he says he cant even fix it because there is a hole inside the icemakers cabinet, which is covered with a piece of duct tape. Well we didnt put it there, thats how it came when we bought it. So I guess $90 just to know why we have been having issues with it.

I purchased a Samsung RF323TEDBSA three door refrigerator February 2013 and have had terrible issues with both ice makers and front door water dispenser and overall think the stainless finish is impossible to clean. The front door water dispenser always drips down the front of the refrigerator requiring constant cleaning and absolutely nothing cleans this poor quality of stainless. I have tried everything! The bottom freezer is not working at all and will not reset. The top freezer has to be defrosted monthly with a hairdryer and reset, to get any ice. Even after those bizarre behaviors, the ice is always wet, very slow to make and drop and always mixes at least 5 or so tablespoons of water in with the ice (and again drips down the front of the refrigerator). I actually bought two of the same refrigerators for two different homes and absolutely think both are just junk. What a joke... As I thought I was buying a higher end appliance! Just another comment, on the Samsung microwave I bought at the same time... Junk. I had to fixed the cracked plastic on the door hinge myself with a You Tube video and rubber band, just so the door would close so the appliance would work... After two years of use (mostly reheating food). I caution all appliance buyers to stay away from Samsung appliances, regardless of the model. Also, getting service without paying an arm and a leg is impossible.

Both suggest the repairs would be a hit or miss type repair and would be very costly. Both suggested buying a new refrigerator. I purchased Samsung fridge two months back and a week after delivery, I noticed a huge ice under the bottom of the drawer and water inside the bottom drawer. I removed the ice and saw the same thing the next day again and every day after that. I called the brick warranty department and they told me to unplug the fridge for 24hrs before a technician comes out to fix the problem. This surprised me as it seems they already know about the problem on fridge and I wonder why they dont fix it before it was sold. I asked them to send me a replacement fridge for the period as the fridge is still on warranty. I have small kids and a day without a fridge is a nightmare. The representative was rude and told me that cant happen and the fridge wont be fixed until I defrost it. Im still trying to solve this issue and I hope there is someone out here who can stop companies like Samsung from taking clients on a rollercoaster once they make a sale. My advice, dont buy Samsung. Period.

We purchased a Samsung fridge 5 years ago. It had issues with the ice maker a few times, which were repaired. Most recently, the fan was making a REALLY loud noise, Samsung came out and we were told there is now corrosion in the plug of the fan and it is not repairable. Upon contacting Samsung we have been told we need to buy a new fridge and they offered us a 20% discount. The fridge is only 5 years old, we paid over $2.5k for it and now have no option to repair it other than to replace it. I wanted to warn others, as we had choices when we were buying and chose Samsung - we are now paying for that decision, literally. Looking online and doing some research Ive now found that there is a class action for THE EXACT SAME THING in the US - the ice maker breaking causing the fan to make a loud noise and eventually stop working. Im in shock that Samsung find it acceptable to tell me to buy a new fridge after only 5 years and only give me a 25% discount... I will never buy another Samsung fridge again and I hope this warns others to do the same. So disappointed. Here is the link to some summary details of the class action: **.

We purchased our French Door Refrigerator (Model RF4267HABP) Dec./2011 from Lowes Home Improvement. Within the first year we started noticing rust on the front door near the ice maker and the door. The Lowes repairman told us since it was cosmetic it wasnt covered under warranty. We would have to pay a large amount to replace the front door panel. Why do this if they cant fix the problem that is causing the issue? The repairman basically told us to not use the crushed ice option. WHAT? Why own an ice maker if you cant use the crushed ice? They are now telling me that they havent seen this issue in the database so they dont think its an issue.

I bought a fancy computerized refrigerator in March of 2019, started to have problems freezing up and water running everywhere, tech came first then 2 weeks later repair guys came, very rough with the shelves and drawers. In fact broke one shelve, no apologies. Fridge acted up again so called service and they said I would get a refund even though it was no longer on warranty, because parts needed were no longer available. I was told a prorated amount for a refund. So I proceeded with what I was told to do, and then out of the blue I got a text saying my ticket was canceled because it was out of warranty??? Called again and nobody could give me a good answer. But the first guy was very nice and gave me a access number for the refund by Citibank. Well trying to get to the portal was not successful at all and then I get this cancellation **. Definitely not a happy Camper with Samsung. And I have everything Samsung!!!!

I noticed dripping from the ice maker on the Thursday before New Years weekend. We immediately called service. They said to do a reset by unplugging the fridge for 3 minutes. We did as instructed to no avail. They would not schedule a service call because they said to give it a chance.and check it in the morning. Needless to say, there was nothing cold in the morning. When we called again they refused to do anything before Tuesday. It was a Holiday weekend. This product is not one year old yet they refused any help. When we continued to ask for help we were told to send an email and wait for a response. That response came after 5 pm so it was too late to do anything. We have now been without refrigeration for 6 days. DONT BUY SAMSUNG!!!

I purchased the gas stove because it was Samsung & I knew of their reputation. The stove was in no way what I thought it would be. My food cooks uneven. Temperatures not consistent. Burners have uneven flames. Top of stove no matter how many times you wipe it looks dirty & easily scratches. This was purchased along with five other Samsung appliances. What a mistake. Does not live up to their reputation. If I had to repurchase these 6 appliances they would definitely not be Samsung. Be smart. Do your homework. Do not buy Samsung. Only their TVs or phones.

We purchased this refrigerator from Lowes in April 2013. In December 2013, we noticed that the ice cubes were smaller, and the water dispenser flow was much slower. I contacted the Samsung Help Center and was told to turn up the water pressure in my home, even though it was (properly) set at 60 pounds per square inch! I did turn it up to 90 pounds per square inch, and it seemed to be OK --not back to normal-- for a short while!Several months ago the ice cubes began to be much smaller, and the water flow reduced again. Ive tested the water supply to the unit, and it is just fine. I believe Samsung refrigerators have a basic engineering design flaw, one that Samsung will not admit nor own up to... Thus, my recommendation to NOT BUY a Samsung refrigerator! Coincidentally, we have a GE refrigerator purchased around the same time for our Florida house, and we have NEVER had a problem with it at all. Come on Samsung, own up to the problems with your design, and either FIX THEM, OR GIVE US OUR MONEY BACK!

I did that and it still wouldnt work. I was referred to another department that tried to sell me a service plan for almost $300. That I cannot afford. I cant believe a stove less than 2 years old has this many problems. All I can say is buyers beware. Dont spend your hard earned money on this product if you are not prepared to shell out more money 1+ year later. I had an old stove that was purchased in the 60s that was so reliable. We purchased a Samsung bundle from Home Depot a couple of summers ago. The black stainless finish is peeling off already but even worse, the stove continues to short out when we clean it. The motherboard has been replaced once but it seems as if we are losing another one now. After wiping the top with a soft washcloth with mild soapy water, its throwing the breaker again. Im pretty careful when I clean it and have never had this issue with a stove before. Im so disappointed. My husband and I saved for a long time to be able to replace our old appliances but Id take them back if I could. Things are just not built to last anymore and no company seems to care enough to make decent products. I cant believe our government doesnt hold these companies to a higher standard. There is lots of room to store food in it. The design of 4 doors with the option of making the third door a fridge rather than freezer space is good for large families. In addition the stainless steel does not show up finger or handprints and is easy to keep clean.

We have had problems w/ the Samsung DW80F60OUTS dishwasher from its installation from Home Depot to its operation. Previous problems involved Samsung not installing the proper electronics in the door - it had 2 different types of the electronic programs; the door seals leaked; it did not clean the dishes. The current problem is that the water entry or draining does not perform. The Smart Auto light is flashing. The soap dispenser does not open. Dishes from the last operation are dirty. Called the local SS authorized repair company which will come out and properly repair this poor excuse for a dishwasher. If it had not cost so much I would give it to the monthly large item pick up for the dump. Purchased in July 2015; we do not like it at all. Glad we bought the extra repair service contract which takes effect after the SS warranty. Should have bought a Whirlpool or GE dishwasher.

DW80F600UTS - Do not buy this dishwasher! I ignored the bad reviews thinking it would be okay... its not! Since day one it has been pathetic at washing dishes. Now barely one year into it, just past warranty, the leak sensor breaks (there is no leak). The dishwasher shuts itself down after a few minutes and the lights blink. I called Samsung several times to troubleshoot and they were no help. Sears repair came out and diagnosed a broken sensor that costs $120 and $145 to install. That is $270 for a practically new dishwasher. Please save your time and money and do not buy a Samsung dishwasher!

In November of 2015 we purchased a Samsung refrigerator French door BLK SS unit model number RF263BEAESG. In June of 2017 we started having trouble with the ice maker not working, and frosting up. On June 30th 2017 I contacted Samsung and they put a online service request ticket in for me. They told me I would be notified within 3 business days of when someone could come and repair the refrigerator. On July 10th I received another email from Samsung support and it said that my ticket had been cancelled the email read as follows your repair for service ticket has been cancelled. If you need service please contact us and it gave the phone number 1 800 Samsung. Thank you for your cooperation. Since then I tried to find someone in the local area that could come out and look at and or repair the unit. After several phone calls I was able to find someone that works on Samsung appliances. On July 18th a service tech came to my house and told me I had three issues the ice maker was going bad the fan in the freezer was going bad and at this point it was making a horrendous noise and then the fan in the refrigerator in the back that whole unit needed to be replaced. The total cost for these repairs are going to be about $800. At this point I have a really tough decision to make do I dump an additional $800 into this refrigerator and hope that it lasts, or do I bite the bullet and buy another refrigerator from a different manufacturer. I have responded to the emails from Samsung support I have gotten no further response from them. I do intend to let them know what is wrong with the refrigerator and what it is going to cost to repair it. While I understand it is out of warranty, it is not even 2 years old yet and should not be having these major issues.I will never buy another Samsung Appliance and I would never recommend to anyone that I know to buy one whether they are family friend or Foe. This has been such a disappointing experience for me. I can only hope that some attorney somewhere reads all of these complaints and puts together a class action lawsuit against Samsung. Someone needs to hold them accountable for making a product of such poor quality. People buy for the Samsung name because their Electronics have always been number one in the market. Their total lack of customer support has me wondering if I should even keep my Samsung smartphone. I find it hard to support a company that will not support its customers.

Here is our experience: 2 days before X-Mas 2014 our 3 month old fridge model RS22HDHPNSR stopped cooling properly 2 days later it stopped all together but the temperature readout did not indicate a problem and remained at the normal settings. 12-24-14 called Samsung customer service gave all of our info: Name address, phone #, e-mail address. Was instructed to reset thermostat, called back after a few hours to inform Samsung that unit was still not cooling. Advised that a repair service would come in 1 to 2 days to take care of problem. 12-27-14 After several hours working on our fridge repairman told us that the unit suffered a major failure and parts would need to be ordered. We contacted Samsung same day again had to repeat all of our personal info and we now requested a replacement for our 3 month old unit. Thats when the nightmare really began. We did not hear from Samsung and had to call daily for updates. Each time we received a new ticket # and were told our request was in review. On 1-2-2015 we were informed that our request for replacement was denied because replacement parts were in. On 1-7-2015 After 2 repairmen hammered and soldered for 3 hours on our fridge in the kitchen they could not fix it needed more parts. Again we called Samsung requesting a replacement and again never received any updates. On 1-9-2015 finally got through to a supervisor who than told us after speaking with another supervisor that our request for replacement had been denied a second time, because the additional parts are in. On 1-13-2015 after 3 more hours working and banging our fridge it was working. After a 3 week long ordeal of no refrigerator/freezer, uncounted hours spent on use less phone calls speaking to a total of 36 Samsung employees we have a rebuilt Samsung refrigerator. Samsung Excellence Customer Service??? You decide.

I purchase a double door refrigerator model digital inverter with 10 years warranty on 16-09-2013 but before 3 months (after purchasing approx 6 month) I noticed the fruit tray was cracked. I complaint to customer care but customer care representative said our company has not covered plastic part under warranty. He demanded rs. 2000/- to replace the tray. After some time I like a hairline crack in the plastic at the front of the tray above the vegetable and fruit drawers. Sir, I dont understand what is the problem in this fridge. I think this fault is from the company... Pls check your product. Before one year your plastic part was cracked automatically... but your staff said this is not covered by us... Pls tell me what I do... what is my fault? (purchasing your great company Refrigerator) Pls solve my matter.

Our new puppy likes to counter surf and has turned on the knobs several times but even before that we have done it ourselves by bumping into them. The most recent time caused a small fire. I am very upset. There are Zero safety devices that will fit this design knob. My only option is to remove the knobs when not cooking and its hard to get the whole family to comply with that. This product (Slide in electric range model NE58F9500SS) should be recalled. I cant believe there have been so many reports of this and there is no fix and Samsung has done nothing.

On Friday 4/14/17 my 1 1/2 year old Samsung refrigerator had iced up so I unplugged it and defrosted it. Upon start up the display and controls did not work so I called Samsung service. Samsung service supposedly set up a service appointment for the unit to be service Monday morning (they gave me a reference number). I took off work only to get a call from a repair company to set up an appointment. I asked to be transferred to Samsung. A Samsung employee answered and after I started telling her my problem she hung up. I called back and Jose answered this time. He spoke broken/heavily accented English and after being no help in getting a repair person out today, I asked to be forwarded to a manager. He put me on hold, came back after 5 minutes and said he was forwarding me to a manager. After waiting another 5 minutes on line Samsungs system cut me off. I called back a third time and the only thing they did for me was to contact a repair company to set up an appointment. I lost 4 hours of pay waiting on the service that never came. Samsung has poor products and even poorer service. I will never buy another Samsung product again.

I bought a new kitchen refrigerator, stove, dishwasher and over the oven microwave. All Samsung. Do not buy this brand. I wish I would have read the reviews first. The ice maker started freezing up in the first year. We are into our second year and it still has to be defrosted every week. What a waste of money. You would think that Samsung would make this right for all the customers that have had this problem. I have family members that have the same issues same brand. Ready to take a loss and get a different brand.

We purchased the Samsung French Door Refrigerator Model: RF25HMEDB6SA back in August of 2014 and started experiencing issues 18 months ago. Water was leaking from ice maker into crisper. Ice maker was also freezing up and required defrosting. Also, the refrigerator began making a churning noise so we finally contacted Samsung to get the appliance serviced. They sent a technician from their authorized repair company (HSN) on 6/1. The representative from the company said that it was a bad sensor that needed to be replaced and should not have any more issues. Within 10 days, the churning sound was worse than ever. Called them back, same technician fixed the issue again. Wrong!Long story short, Ive had several interactions with Samsung and their service company with no positive results. Even though I had $200 invested in the repair with Samsung/HSN, I decided to contact a reputable company to diagnose the issue. They informed me that the service company did not follow the service bulletins that Samsung published. The cost to deploy the fixes that Samsung recommended would be over $1K for an appliance that I paid $2400 for not even four years ago! We are now buying a new refrigerator and will NEVER buy another Samsung product. Terrible product and dishonest company.

My fridge looks great, is relatively easy to clean, has lots of space and only a few less-than-perfect attributes: you must NOT pack stuff around the air-flow at the back of the fridge; the gasket is NOT tough enough (already cracked after 3 yrs); the plastic cover for the deli-drawer cracked! Overall, I would buy the unit again despite the 3 deficiencies detailed above. It cools well, looks great, and has lots of room.

My Samsung refrigerator is five or six years old. Since the beginning, I have had problems with it. (Water accumulated underneath the vegetable and fruit drawers.) While under warranty, the refrigerator was repaired by Samsung without a problem. When the same problem recurred, the refrigerator was out of warranty. Since it was the same problem, I sought help from Samsung. The tirade I was exposed to from the manager of the support/repair department at Samsung was shameful and insulting. He was indignant that I should ask for a repair from Samsung and scolded me like I was a 5-year old. He said that a five or six year old refrigerator was already very old and then asked how long did I expect a refrigerator to work anyhow? He went on and on until I finally said Thank you and Good bye.Today I replaced that defective part myself and found that when it was repaired the first time, a used or refurbished part had been installed. This was obvious by the amount of duct tape and silver tape (used by heating duct installers) that held the part together on the side on the back, hidden from view. I was surprised the used part lasted as long as it did. I will NEVER recommend Samsung products to anyone. I am thoroughly disappointed in the refrigerator and the so-called manager without any managerial qualifications. I prefer to remain anonymous but if Consumer Affairs needs more verification, I will be happy to supply copies of whatever I have.

We purchased our Samsung RS261MDRS/XAA a Little less than 5 years ago. It has been a nightmare. The first week, we had to call the company because the refrigerator was not cooling properly. We had a technician come by to fix it. Perhaps it was a computer problem. The refrigerator would not cool properly, and the freezer would frost up. The very first years we had several people try to fix the freezing of the back panel problem. We have nursed it along, but less than 5 years of ownership, for the second or third time, we have had to move all of our food elsewhere to keep from losing it. The fan made a loud clatter, then nothing. Food kept getting warmer - who knows whats safe, so we had to throw it all away again! Samsung is over their head with refrigerators- cell phones, not so much. Buy at your own risk.

I bought this fridge in 2014 and one for my parents shortly after. For the first 2 years they both worked great. The last 2 years not so much. My parents unit ice machine has been replaced twice due to it freezing up and not working. I fortunately have not had that problem with the ice machine. The freezer and middle drawer of the fridge work great and maintain temperature without issue. The main section of the refrigerator does a very poor job of keep food cold. I discovered the fan that is supposed to circulate the air was not working. Samsung wanting to charge some crazy amount of money just to come troubleshoot it so I tore it apart myself. In the back of the fridge the cooling coil was frozen over and caused the fan to burn out. After thawing the fridge and replacing the fan it worked for a few months but subsequently froze again. Replacing this fan every few months seem very silly and now I regularly have to tear the fridge apart and thaw the coil to ensure it doesn’t burn out the motor. The last 6 months I have noticed that even when the fan is working the fridge does not stay cold anymore. The door reads 34 degrees but in the fridge it is anywhere from 40 to 60 degrees and any given time. It is a shame that 2 refrigerators that cost nearly $3000 dont work after less than 4 years. I will never buy a Samsung refrigerator again. Both units are nothing but JUNK now!!! Now we have to decide if we want to continue to throw items away when it decides it doesn’t want to keep food cold or buy another $3000 fridge. Very disappointed.

My fiancé and I left our home with our daughter at approximately 8 AM this morning for work. We had both spent significant time in the kitchen before leaving and the microwave (SMH9187ST) was properly functioning (displaying the time, no one had used it since the night before.) When we returned around 5:30 PM, there was an electrical smoke smell emanating in the house. My fiancé immediately followed the smell to the kitchen, where he saw our Samsung microwave was smoking and the clock was not displaying. Upon opening the microwave, we observed more smoke and the scorched insides of the microwave. The glass turn table had shattered and there was a charred hole in the rear of the interior. There was obvious scorching up the back of the unit as well as on the top. He immediately opened the cabinet above the over-the-range microwave and unplugged it. There was no one in the house during the day, except our dog and 2 cats. The unit appears to have spontaneously combusted. After researching this model, I cannot believe it has been allowed to remain in homes this long after so many reports of damage, fire, and potential disasters. We are seriously lucky our home did not burn down with our pets inside today. Our daughter turns 1 tomorrow and is usually home with the babysitter, luckily she was not home today. I dont even want to think about how badly this could have ended for me and my family.

We have the same problems as so many others! Water/ice under crisper drawers. Warranty has expired - OF COURSE. Unfortunately, we bought all new household appliances in 2012. EVERY SINGLE APPLIANCE has had problems, the fridge is only the latest. The washer....spitting water out from the dispenser tray and the drum seal leaking as well. Stove, fan, element, dishwasher quit working completely and had to be replaced and now the refrigerator. The only one covered by warranty was the dishwasher. I swear, they have timers in these things setting them to fail.

We have had the worst experience ever with our Samsung fridge. I was so excited to get it. It was really nice and had lots of room. But from the start it never made much ice. The ice maker kept going out and they sent repairmen out a few times to fix it. We eventually got a new fridge and had the exact same problem. We got this one “repaired” 5 times before they finally admitted it was unfixable and agreed to a refund. The refund process has been a nightmare and we have been dealing with it for 7 weeks now. We have been told different info from different agents. We have been put on hold to be transferred to supervisors and then hung up on. We have been told we would get emails with no contact. It’s been a joke. We were told 2 days ago that the refund was approved and we just need to wait for an email. I called back yesterday and got hung up on 3 different times. I called back today and was told it’s not approved yet and was given MORE excuses as to why. I don’t recommend anyone to EVER buy a Samsung appliance! If you ever have to deal with their customer service or refund department, you will go insane and it’s not worth it. Just don’t waste your money in the first place! I know I never will again.

We purchased a complete Samsung kitchen from HHGregg 4 years ago when we upgraded our kitchen. Weve had issues with the ice maker freezing up almost since day one, but have continued to manually defrost. Now, heres the horror story. We returned home from Thanksgiving holiday to find our house flooded! Yep, you guessed it. The refrigerator was the culprit. It malfunctioned, and the inside of the fridge was literally filled with water! We had all hardwood floors, and every one of them has to be replaced, in addition to other repairs.Well, Samsung was quick to set up repair service through a third party contractor. The authorized repair person doesnt have a clue what hes doing. And, like Samsung, their customer service is the worst. I spoke to a Samsung rep again today, and expressed I did not want this refrigerator, that I wanted a new one. I got what I perceive to be the standard answer, and thats your appliance is no longer warranted, and all we can do is to repair it for you. What kind of crap is that when you have thousands of complaints about your defective product? After reading the complaints here, I noticed a few persons recommending a class action lawsuit. Were in for sure. Im done with Samsung appliances and after $50,000 in damages and repairs I certainly feel Im justified!

Recently we converted our less than six month old our entire upgraded GE kitchen appliances to Samsung Black Stainless Steel at roughly $6,500. In spite of the cost we have always had success with the product brand including TVs, cell phones, tablets, appliances you name if Samsung makes it we buy it. However the dishwashers has been less than acceptable not to mention most disappointing. Besides being noisy theres always standing water after a complete cycle. If unattended the odor of spoiled or soiled smelling water its all but unbearable. No problem. We contacted the local Samsung authorized technician to make a house call and repairs or adjustment. After a half hour he said everything was in working order and the accumulation of the standing water was normal... I quote its needed to prime the pump... That of course is BS!First thing when you start the washer is WATER! Subsequently and after filing a complaint with customer service which I might add are nothing more than pimple face robots sitting in front of computers that reply from canned presentations. Eventually and after some persistence our complaint was sent to another department and after waiting three or so weeks we get a call back saying they are sending us a complete refund. Once again my faith is restored with Samsung; but its not to be! After a few more weeks the promised call back never came so we reached out to their customer service and once again we got a runaround with the pending refund. But today we get a call from the department that makes the final decision telling us it was a mistake and the problem is considered maintenance not covered under their normal warranty... Mind you we are talking about a product that was less than three weeks old. Their (CR) mannerism with a response was being read not communicated like in a normal conversation; most disappointing to say the least. The CR kept repeating the same verbiage word for word over and over several times. Before I wrote this review I did some research and discovered besides Samsung - Bosch and Whirlpool they share this common problem. Their recommendation is adding vinegar and lemon juice in the dishwasher or you can buy a cleaner/chemical specific for dishwashers to control odors; expect to pay around $12-$13. So Samsung potential dishwashers buyers beware!

When it finally did arrive, it arrived with a broken piece in one of the main water dispensers, so its impossible to use it. The very next day I called to make a replacement. I was told someone was going to call me within 48-72 hours while they processed the issue. I never got a call. So I kept calling back once or twice a week, and each time I voiced my problem, and that I had already called, and that I was waiting for a replacement. Every time it was a different representative, so I had to explain myself every single time. I let them know that I just want it replaced. They tell me I understand your frustration, Im trying to help you resolve this issue but its a lie, nothing gets done. Im now on week six of trying to STILL replace my brand new broken dishwasher.

The control panel went bad, and the unit (two years old, gently used) flashed an error message. Its a common display, from what I learned online. Samsung makes a microwave with oven lights and fan to fit over an oven but cant tolerate the heat and vapor that rises from the stove. Many, many of such units have suffered control panel failure. I called Samsung and outlined the problem. That was almost two weeks ago. The Samsung representative said I would receive a call within two days with information about who would repair the unit at no cost to me. The company would extend the warranty for this repair because of design flaws. Then, she said, I would receive a call within no more than two additional days from the repair company to set a date and time for the replacement. Ive received no calls from anybody about this problem. Im trying now to retrace my earlier call, and its frustrating. This French door fridge was bought 2 years ago. First 3 weeks the ice bucket was not properly closing. The ice keeps getting stuck inside thus it would not make any if this is not physically pried out. They replaced the bucket and it was fine. Last week the cooler compartment stopped cooling (loud noise for 3 days that goes away when you open the door then it comes back again once you close it). I woke up that morning. It was just not cold inside so I asked my sister to keep an eye on it (dont know what to think of it since I was rushing to go to work). By the time I came home the temp screen was blinking and my sister said it has been like that all day! I went online, tried to chat with the rep Rose and twice as she tries to give me the transaction number, she gets disconnected! Again, she was back after I went searching and gave me a link that wont open up! It was a technical difficulty she said? It seems like SAMSUNG has technical difficulties everywhere!!!Finally got a young lady on the phone. In short nobody can come until 4 days later so as it was the weekend and my fridge was stocked up with food. I rented another refrigerator from RAC Center. Paid $57.00 for 2 weeks rent in case... The technician came last Tuesday and we were told it was the fan, packed with ICE and that the SENSOR needed to be replaced. It will cost me $222.00 for the $13.56 sensor and the rest for labor fees!! I was told to call if I start to have food wastage but really thats not what I need! I need them to fix their act and by the reviews and complaints here, it seems that this has been going on with their refrigerators. SAMSUNG needs to pay back the customers who has to deal with this ridiculous product!!! I cannot afford a new refrigerator right now. And really, I had the GE one before this, the old conventional no-nonsense fridge that I gave to the men to haul away and boy, my husband blamed me for doing that. That GE had no issues for many years that we had it other than we just wanted a fridge with the ice maker/water dispenser!! Talk about wasting $1900.00 on a SAMSUNG crap!

Same problem, the back freezes up and the evaporator fan breaks. It is almost impossible to find a repairman who wants to work on them for two reasons: you cannot get the parts (each time they have to be ordered from Korea) and they take days to thaw out before you can even open them to do the repair! I have been in contact with the company only to be told there wasnt anything they could do. Samsung has a no refund no return policy and after the year they will do nothing unless you purchase their extended warranty. Every repairman has told me they should not even be sold! (Obviously it was not sealed properly... a manufacturers defect.) The water leaves unsightly stains on the refrigerator door that cannot be cleaned (because it is behind the plastic coating). It is embarrassing to have company over because the refrigerator looks filthy. Its frustrating that it is not cleanable. Samsung accepts no responsibility for this because they claim it is cosmetic in nature. Yes, my refrigerator still keeps the food cold... but it looks horrendous!Furthermore, Samsung has since changed the door. I was willing to pay $300 for a new door even though the issue was Samsungs fault. However, the replacement door does not match the other door. Samsung changed the look of the doors. (The new door is more squared off and less rounded, plus the handle is higher than the handle on the second door.) My only option is to replace BOTH doors at $600. Samsung claims no responsibility and will do nothing other than let me know its my problem to deal with. Never buy a Samsung refrigerator. Their customer service is poor and they accept responsibility for nothing! Im done with Samsung!

I purchased this fridge because it was the best looking fridge on display at Lowes. I know now dont buy something based on looks. We had problems before we ever got it on. The ice maker didnt work on it as soon as we got it moved in. It was still under warranty then so they sent out a repair man to install a whole new freeze door because the ice maker is in the door. Even the repair man said they have more calls on Samsung than any other fridge. FYI, he said that Whirlpool is the best one to buy. We bought the whole kitchen set; hopefully, the rest last a little longer than the fridge. Needless to say, I will never buy Samsung again. Horrible product.

DW80F600UTS/AS - Worst consumer experience in my life. Unit failed last month of warranty. Door latch defective, sensor controlling cycles defective. Did not go through cycle, dishes dirty and not dry. 3 visits from authorized repair, 2 after warranty expired. Repairman installed new improved sensor. Finally agreed to refund, but now claimed unit had to be depreciated. Then came the totally outrageous part: to get refund, consumer must cut power cord purchased separately with the unit (no refund for that), take a picture of cut cord. Then, consumer must remove decal attached to door, affix it to refund request, and send it to company. Decal could not be removed - took a photo of it next to cord. Not enough! Told to use a straight razor, no exceptions! It still doesnt come off. Imagine giving this advice to an 80 year old with a tremor? This company needs a major overhaul. Policies designed for maximum profit and will not honor warranty for defective product.

This induction range/oven (FTQ307NWGX/XAA) was very a very expensive piece of equipment. It looks beautiful and high end, but its a useless piece of junk now and ready for the landfill. Samsung has discontinued making two parts that we need to fix the induction cooktop. The circuit boards blew up and there are no replacement parts being made. Samsung doesnt stand behind their products. They simply told us sorry. Sorry?! That stove was over $2000 and cannot be fixed! How irresponsible of Samsung! Not only is this bad for the consumer, but its bad for the environment! I understand that things break, but the fact that there are no parts being manufactured to fix it is inexcusable. Samsung has lost a customer for life!

Our Samsung Microwave SMH9187S had to have its motherboard replaced twice now in less than 3 years due to SE error and while run a few seconds and stopping. According to their own technical repair specialist it is a design problem with moisture which occurs when cooking food on the stove below their over-the-range Samsung Microwave SMH9187S units (Very Expensive Issue to continually have to fix). See all the complaints with Samsung on the Internet regarding not fixing known design and potential safety issues with its products and discontinuing them once issues start to mount to avoid additional liability. They just say its out of warranty and not our problem, call a Samsung authorized service company to have repairs made. This will be the last Samsung product we ever buy again (that includes everything Samsung makes from refrigerators, oven, stoves washers, dryers, phones, tablets, TVs, laptops, electronics, etc. And especially microwaves). When a company knowing refuses to stand behind its product design defects the only course for consumers is to not trust or purchase any products from that company and warn all your friends and neighbors regarding of the companies business practices after the sale and they have got your money. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

This refrigerator has been nothing but a problem. After 3 years, we had to entirely replace the ice maker for over $200 in repairs (not covered by warranty). After 5 years, we had to repair the water dispenser. At exactly, 5 years and 4 months, the freezer died, 1 week later, the refrigerator died. It is out of warranty and Samsung does not provide any support. In our county, there is no longer a Samsung certified repair shop. No one will even touch it. Samsung finally referred us to A&E factory service, more than 40 miles away. They came out to do the diagnostic today (2 weeks after the freezer failed). The repairs for the broken evaporator are over $700. This was a $1,500 fridge purchased at Best Buy. Samsung has been very disappointing. They are not willing to cover anything or provide product support. Will not buy from them again.

Once the item is sold, Lowes refers all responsibility to their (I quote) We have contacted Service Advantage with this issue. A&E Factory Service is the service provider and will be contacting you for a resolution within 5-7 days. Today is the 7th day and no response. We have had 7-8 service calls on this refrigerator 7 for the same problem. When we called for service the second time, Lowes informed us that the Service technician would determine whether or not the service call is covered under the warranty, this made us hesitant to keep calling on the same problem. We still have no ice and only promises from Lowes that Service Advantage would contact us. (Isnt that similar to asking the fox to check the hen house to see if any chickens are missing?) We contacted Service Advantage 8 times, repairs made 8 times, nothing worked. We were told by Lowes store manager that after 7 calls on the same problem the item would be declared a lemon. Samsung Refrigerators are beautiful to look at, but are totally unreliable and everyone that you talk to that owns one says they have problems with the ice maker.

We have had this fridge for almost 18 months. We bought it from Best Buy along with a 5-year warranty. When Best Buy delivered it all 3 doors had massive dents in them. They brought new ones within a few days. The ice maker has spewed ice chips no matter what size/shape the glass you use or where you hold it under the dispenser, ice goes all over the floor. The ice maker makes so much noise in the process of making ice that it makes a crashing sound. The right side door doesnt stay open!!! The wonderful techs at Best Buy have been out at least 5 times to repair both, along with sending new parts, etc. and it is just the same as before they tried anything new. This is a defective appliance and NO ON CARES!!! The go through the motions to honor the warranty and now there is nothing they can do. Samsung is even more worthless. How can two large companies be allowed to continually rip people off with products and services that dont work properly? Are there longer morals and truth in business? We have had the Samsung DW80F600 for 2 years and it is not working. Called customer service and ended up in some foreign country with staff who had no idea what to do. The only solution was to call a technician which I did and awaiting for him to show up. I suspect that as with most posts here, the technician will tell us that the repair will cost a few hundred dollars in which case it will be cheaper to buy a new one. WE had a GE dishwasher for 20 years and never had a problem with it. Like their Samsung phones, I suspect they cannot produce good products. Many other good brands to choose from.Updated 9/21/2016 - Samsung has a con system going on. THEY KNOW THERE IS A QUALITY PROBLEM WITH THEIR DISHWASHERS AND THEY CHOOSE TO DO NOTHING TO FIX THE PROBLEM. Please read the rest of the post. I promised to let you know what happened with the fix of my dysfunctional Samsung DW80F600, 2 year-old dishwasher.I called the appliance repair company Totem Appliance that was recommended by Samsung and set up an appointment for September 21, 2016. I was told that they cannot tell me over the phone what the problem was until the technician had a chance to diagnose the problem. The fee for this diagnosis I was told is $115. The technician showed up and lo and behold was carrying a replacement part. I asked him what that part was and he told me that this is the part that needs to be replaced. The exact part is the Brake Case Assembly - I believe part # DD82-01111A (as shown on the package). I asked him how he knew what the problem was and his response was that Samsung fielded many such complaints and by now they know what the problem is. Reluctantly I told him to go ahead and fix the problem. The cost for this part is $400 (a new dishwasher costs $600). He pulled the dishwasher out and replaced the bracket case assembly. He turned the dishwasher on to test it and amazingly it did not work. The Smart Auto error was blinking. He said that the dishwasher senses water and we need to leave the dishwasher door open for 24 hours for the water inside to dry or alternatively, he can dry the water himself. I said he should dry the water rather than us wait for 24 hours (not knowing whether we are going to see this company again). He pulled out the dishwasher (again), flipped it over, and unscrewed the bottom panel. Lo and behold, no water to be found, meaning there was no water as he claimed. He then said he needs to look at the ecs sensor. He took it apart, cleaned it and screwed back the bottom panel. He turned the dishwasher on and my goodness, it did not work again. The Smart Auto light was blinking again. He then said he has to call head office. He did call head office and they told him he needs to replace the pcb which is the main control board. He told me that this part is warranted for 5 years. I wanted to know why did he not replace the pcb in the first place and he said that Samsung told them to replace all three parts, regardless of the problem and then charge for the ecs and bracket case assembly only. In other words, since the pcb is under warranty they want to give you the impression that you are getting a so called deal.Since he did not have the pcb on him, nor did he have a replacement ecs sensor, he said that he will return the next day (Thursday, September 22) with the parts and replace them. So what does this all mean - 1. This is one big CON; 2. Rather than first replace the warranty part, namely the pcb, they sell you the most expensive parts first and if the fix does not work, only then they offer a replacement pcb. This to me is cause for a class action lawsuit and perhaps inform the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) to trigger a recall. If you all agree with me then lets go for it. We all know by now the problems that Samsung is having with the Galaxy phone suggesting that quality is not part of the Samsung culture and secondly, they think their customers are stupid.

We bought a Samsung RF26J7500SR 3 door refrig eleven months ago. WHAT A POS. The refrig compartment fan system keeps freezing up (repairman said its an inherent design error! ), preventing it from staying cold. We threw out everything inside on Labor day as all the food spoiled waiting the 12 days for the repairman. Then I was told we had to reschedule since the refrig needed to be unplugged for 48 hours for all the internal ice covering the fan blades to melt. On the return visit days later parts were replaced and a factory anti-freezing kit installed. Now, two months later, the fridge is full of Thanksgiving leftovers and its warm inside again, seems like the same problem. Samsung customer service can only confirm its broken, gave me the number of a local repair guy that will fix it under warranty. I assume the repairman will give me an appointment 12 days from when they call me back, which was how long it took for them to come to the house for the first repair!!! Looks like we will throw out everything again. What a joke. I will have to take another vacation day to wait for the repairman. Anyone who buys a Samsung refrigerator needs their head examined!!! I will never ever buy another Samsung appliance of any kind.

Purchased RF217ACPN Samsung French Door Refrigerator from Best Buy on July 2011. Nice looking model and would have been great if it lived up to its advertising and promises. Little over a year, then after warranty of course, the refrigerator was not working right. Water accumulated in and under crisper bins. Then eventually loud rotating noise which found out later was the cooling fan. For an energy efficient appliance, I now spend 24 hrs defrosting, packing food in coolers, (still lose some foods) every two months. The WORSE refrigerator ever. I tell anyone I see looking at them in a store and hopefully stop them from wasting money. A class action law suit was filed back in 2011, yet they continue to sell these faulty designed refrigerators ripping off American citizens... Why is this still happening? When our Samsung refrigerator died after only 3 yrs., we thought it a fluke
When our Samsung refrigerator died after only 3 yrs., we thought it a fluke and for some unearthly reason we purchased another Samsung. This new refrigerator is so noisy that our guests have actually asked What is that noise? After many communications back and forth with Samsung (wherein Samsung acknowledged the noisiness), and with RC Willey, Samsung sent a technician to our home to inspect the refrigerator, he determined that although the refrigerator is properly working, the loudest noise had to do with the water running into the ice maker which occurs about every 90 minutes. It is a clunking sound followed by a tinny vibration and then another clunking sound. He acknowledged the noise and asked if either Samsung or RC Willey would help us and I responded No. We spent more than $2,100 on this refrigerator and, although the refrigerator is working, the noisiness is embarrassing and even makes me jump occasionally. I requested that we be able to exchange the refrigerator for another model but Samsung has refused. Never again would we purchase a Samsung product and we may also never shop at RC Willey again as they also did nothing to help us. They could have exchanged the refrigerator but also chose not to. I am thinking of filing a small claims as we never anticipated buying a new refrigerator with these problems.

I purchased it new 12/08, Model RB215LABP, from Lowes. We had problems with the unit maintaining temperature in both the refrigerator & freezer. It was apparently stemming from power surges. We bought a Samsung 2 door refrigerator in May of 2013. The guarantee was up in May of 2015. Nine months later, the flap control which seals the left side door broke and no longer stays open while the door is open. As a result, one must open the right hand door in order to close the left door. I called the number on the inside of the fridge to speak to a Samsung rep. Of course, despite the relatively short time we were over the warranty, there was nothing he could do. He was not even able to provide a line on a replacement part! Fortunately, we had purchased an extended warranty through Lowes, the store we bought the fridge from, and the matter should be resolved without cost. While speaking to the rep. at Lowes, I was informed that this was unfortunately a very common fault with these fridges. I have never had a major appliance break down like this before after such a short period of time. I should think Samsung would wish to protect their good name with a total recall on this issue and replace the flaps with a more durable part if, indeed it is a common occurrence. The rep. at Samsung seemed to know exactly what my problem was as I was trying to describe it. I would strongly suggest to anyone looking to buy a new fridge to steer clear of Samsung. They should stick to making TVs!

We bought this Samsung RF2HTED counter-depth refrigerator about 2 years ago
We bought this Samsung RF2HTED counter-depth refrigerator about 2 years ago from Lowes and initially were very satisfied with the features. Within a few weeks, however, the icemaker stopped dispensing ice. Tried all the troubleshooting steps in the manual, still no ice. I then removed the front of the icemaker (no small feat, see comments further on). The side of the icemaker was completely packed up with a large glob of ice. I defrosted this with a hairdryer and the icemaker again worked. Two weeks later, same problem, and get out the hairdryer. Every two weeks the icemaker packs up and has to be defrosted. We were in Lowes for a different matter but stopped by the appliance department and engaged the person who sold us the refrigerator on the issue with our Samsung. He said this was a common complaint with Samsungs in general and that Samsung had been working on a solution for a while. Seems the icemaking unit is poorly insulated from the refrigerator section in which its located, so humidity seeps in and causes the icemaker to freeze up. To date, according to the salesman, Samsung has yet to come up with a solution (another issue - if Lowes knew this to be the case, why did they not advise potential purchasers of this problem?). In addition to the freezing up issue, the front of the icemaker unit is almost impossible to remove, even using the removal method stated in the manual. The icemaker issue makes this refrigerator next to worthless, and since to my knowledge Samsung has yet to correct the problem, its a question of poor engineering foisted on an unsuspecting public. This refrigerator is a poorly designed piece of junk and so best avoided. Based on my experience with this product, I would never even consider buying another Samsung refrigerator.
