Purchased a new Samsung refrigerator about 2 years ago and now the glass shelf that holds the crisper drawers is broken on the corner and the rail that the crisper drawer runs on is broken where the screw hole is broken where a worker had screwed it in too tight. The rubber gaskets are coming apart as well....This refrigerator cost was over $2000.00. Called customer service and they said TOO BAD out of warranty ....Model # RF267AEBP. Someone needs to get a class action lawsuit going on this and let all of us know...

I purchased a Samsung Dishwasher (Model #DW80H9930US) from Tasco, on the advice of Tascos salesman. It was installed in November 2014. I had also purchased a 5 year warranty. By June 2015 my dishwasher was no longer working. I went into Tasco who told me I had to contact my warranty provider, who in turn advised that Samsung held the initial warranty for the first year. I contacted Samsung at the beginning of July and was told a technician would call. I never received a call. Two weeks later I contacted them again and as everyone has previously mentioned, the wait times are approximately 30 minutes to speak with someone at the first level customer service. A woman finally booked a date to have a technician come out. I waited all day and got a call from someone to then set up another date that was approximately 3 weeks later. The technician came to my home and I advised him that the soap dispenser was not opening. He attached his computer to my dishwasher and told me the waterfall technology was not working and my motor was defective, which in turn was why the soap was not opening. He advised they would be ordering a new motor and I would get a call within 2 weeks to set up another appt. He also told me off the record this dishwasher consistently breaks down and is not a good buy. I had to remove my baseboard for that visit noting the dishwasher is built in. He never left the name of his company or anything with me. 3 weeks later I still had not heard from anyone. I contacted Samsung again to speak with someone and they told me they would be in touch. I called again 3 days later and after 30 min and going through the story each time -- got disconnected. In August I finally called and was put through to the Executive department because I was told I could not speak to management. I spoke with a Brian representative ** who was extremely rude and just flat out told me that they would not even consider replacing the unit, even noting the issues wrong with it so early on and the reviews I had read. He gave me an email address sdr.seca@samsung.com to send through a complaint as there never seems to be a manager consumers can speak with. I sent an email with my issues on August 12 and then a follow up on August 18th, 2015, and have never received a response from Samsung. I called 2 more times and was still unable to get a technician or call back. In October I went back to Tasco for help and was told I should have contacted them for service. I contacted Tasco who then in turn left me hanging until the end of November. On Thursday, November 26, I received a call from a Peter ** at Samsung and was told the delay of 6 months was because I did not call the technician back to let him know the baseboard had been removed. That the dishwasher was not properly diagnosed and they dont even know what is wrong with it. He was reading very different information than anyone else I had spoken to and basically told me I was lying that it was the motor. He was so rude, condescending, and when I asked for his managers phone number, he gave me a wrong number. At this point I have a dishwasher that has not worked for 5 months and cannot get Samsung to help me at all. At this time, I would like the dishwasher replaced and it is now out of warranty. At this time I do plan to take Samsung and Tasco to small claims court if I have to, noting I have a dishwasher that does not work and now its out of the manufacturers warranty. I will never purchase or recommend a Samsung appliance to anyone and will deter anyone from them. I would not want anyone to have to endure the stress and frustration I have had to deal with and still have not had the problem rectified. So disappointing.

We bought a Samsung side by side 25.6 CU FT refrigerator on 5-6-10 (serial # JJ5Z4GBZ400545J; model # RS261MDBP). We didnt have it a full year when he had to call for a repair service man to come out because the unit wasnt cooling and all the lights on the panel were all lit up. Something in the panel went out and had to be ordered. Then the last week in December we were having a birthday party and we had a house full of guests and had to buy 6 coolers for the party food as well as all the food we already had and I was never so embarrassed in my life as all my guest had to keep going out in the cold to the coolers for their drinks because the unit wasnt cooling and the freezer wasnt freezing. So I called service department again on January 3rd. After two service appointments, it was determined the mother board had to be replaced. So on 1-17-12 it was replaced and as of 1-21-12 the unit is still not working. I have another service appointment for 1-23-12. I have lost $300.00 in groceries because of this and have to buy ice and use a cooler in January in the winter no less and I have to go to the store daily to buy dinner, which is very costly not to mention very time consuming. I have two elderly and 5 babies under the age of 5 and that is so inconveniencing them as well as the rest of the family members and very costly. This is the absolute worse experience we have ever had. I will never again purchase any Samsung products and will tell everyone about this horrible, embarrassing, very costly experience.

I was so happy to be able to afford to finally be able to buy this refrigerator for my family (model RF323TEDBSR). Mine was manufactured Apr 2012, but we did not buy it until Feb 2013. I used to drool over the commercials of the big, happy family that was loading their shiny refrigerator with lots of groceries and pine for the day where I could actually afford that refrigerator for my family. We have 8 children, 6 who are still home full time, and this was touted as a big refrigerator for big families.Initially, I was very happy with my purchase. It definitely lives up to all the space. The first grocery trip that I was able to fit everything into our new fridge prompted me to put pictures on social media. I was so tickled with it. Unfortunately, the honeymoon was a short one and my relationship with this refrigerator quickly soured. I had issues with a code that kept alarming that was repaired under warranty. The lower ice maker quit working altogether, but it was also repaired. That is all well and good, but its harder than you think to find an appliance repairman who works on Samsung products at all, but especially the refrigerator. Its apparently even harder to actually get parts for the poor thing. As of today, my fridge is a total piece of junk that is a daily reminder of how I was ripped off for over $2500 (and I got a huge discount by being a smart shopper and combining discounts and a coupon). As of today, I am missing 4 of the door bins. All of the bigger ones on the right side where there should be lots of space for condiments, milk and more, they are broken and unusable. I have not been able to obtain any replacements for them at all. Even when narrowing them down on Samsungs website (do you know how many different door bins there are?!), I could not possibly spend the exorbitant prices they are asking... Keep in mind, its still under extended warranty, but the warranty does not cover such things. There is no handle on the freezer. The replacement one fell off, too. I usually have to open a fridge door to open the freezer. The bin inside the freezer has cracked and one has been pulled out because it was not staying in place anymore. The pantry door is gone. It was replaced once, but the second cracked in the same manner and it has not been replaced. The pantry drawer itself is also damaged and comes off the track much too easily. The upper ice maker is completely dead. It stopped making ice awhile ago, though the water still worked. The water used to be fun to try and see if it wanted to work that day. Some days youd push the dispenser down, the light would come on and nothing would happen for awhile. It eventually stopped dispensing water at all. So now no ice or water up top. The repairman fixed it once, but its now broken again. And yes, the filter has been replaced with a genuine Samsung filter. When it was fixed, the entire apparatus that holds the filter was replaced. But again, no ice up top and no water. There is a crack on the white plastic on one shelf portion over the crisper on one side and a larger chunk cracked out on the other, to the point the glass shelf edge is partially exposed. So much for humidity control.More recently, the fridge seems to be running warmer and my produce is dying off at an alarming rate. I am now looking at replacing a 2.5 year old fridge (which is still under an extended warranty!) that I feel totally duped into believing was actually meant for a family. I used to love this thing, now I hate it, and that makes me sad.

I like the technology and the layout of the refrigerator but I am a little concerned with the reliability of certain aspects of my model, like the icemaker. I have owned the refrigerator for about five years and for the last 3 years the icemaker has not operated properly. It tends to freeze up after about a week or two and it gets jammed up with ice cube being dumped over the sides.

We bought this Samsung French Door Refrigerator RF26VABBP 5 years ago. We thought that a Samsung Refrigerator would be reliable. The opposite was true; it needed constant repair. We are replacing it w/another brand today. Heres why: 1. Door seal closing mechanism broke during 1st year (covered under 1 year warranty, but expensive if you have to pay, exceeding $125). 2. Evaporator fan quit 3 years after purchase $233. 3. Ice machine needed replacement 4.5 years after purchase $240. 4. Evaporator fan quit again, less than 5 years after purchase. We are not paying another $240 for this LEMON of a refrigerator~~replacing w/ a competitors brand today. 5. Ice water dispenser doesnt drain well (minor issue).TOTAL REPAIR COSTS in 1st 5 years of ownership: $706 + $125. The 5 year warranty only covers SEALED parts. None of the above qualified. I have never known of a refrigerator to fail so completely. Look for a more reliable brand. SAMSUNG FRENCH DOOR REFRIGERATOR was a costly MISTAKE!

In 2014 we bought a Samsung dishwasher at Lowes. We had always bought Bosch but the deal being offered by Lowes/Samsung was too hard to pass up, I wish we had. I wont bother with the model number because after reading the reviews here it is obvious it doesnt matter, they all have problems. I am pretty good at fixing things myself and our dishwasher is still running, but I have better things to do in my retirement than fix a dishwasher! If you go to Youtube you will find many videos showing you how to fix your Samsung. My advice is DO NOT BUY a Samsung dishwasher! If you own one, make sure you put a cup of vinegar in AFTER the wash cycle starts, (this is particularly important if you are on a well and not public water). If you do it before you start the dishwasher, it will pump the vinegar down the drain upon startup. Also after each wash, clean the door gasket at the bottom of door where it attaches to the dishwasher. Black gunk/mold builds up there, pretty disgusting. Based on reading other reviews, if you are out of warranty and cant do your own repair, take your loss, and put your hard earned money into purchasing another dishwasher.

Purchased model #Rs2677TDRS side by side, new, August 2012. The ice-maker didnt work. They replaced every part of fridge before they figured out it was a wire in the door. Last week I just lost all the food in my fridge because it no longer cools. Not only is the number on the Samsung site wrong but their supposed live chat is never available. I held for 45 minutes, lost the call. Called back and said they would have someone call me back within 2 hours... It never happened!! Why would anyone purchase a Samsung product??? Worst service and product ever!!

Bought a Samsung electric range (NE595R0ABSR) a little over 3 yrs ago and last week the circuit board caught on fire. Called Samsung about it and they told me that they would take care of the parts required, and all I had to do was pay for the installation from the contracted service repair. Now the third party service repair company told me that I had to pay for the parts and not the repair. The cost of parts a little over $430.00. Might as well buy a new stove and it will certainly not be a Samsung. Hopefully a class action lawsuit will come out against Samsung for their highly dangerous stove. I seen on a Canadian website that a few of them had the exact same problem. I will ensure that all Airmen under my command know what horrible customer service Samsung has and how dangerous their products are. I do not want any of them to have to worry about problems from their appliances when they are deployed.

The dishwasher smells rancid even after they came back and fixed it, it is starting to rust despite being Stainless Steel, The range turns off every so often for no apparent reason and now the ice maker for our refrigerator has stopped working. Samsung support is terrible. The appliances are less than 1 year old. I will never purchase another Samsung appliance ever again. They are poor quality and have given us nothing but problems.

My DMR78AHS Samsung Dishwasher was purchased Feb 2011. It needed its first repair in March 2012 (one month after the warranty was up) to the tune of $158 due to the tabs breaking on the upper rack and getting down in the motor. Last Friday (Feb 2014) the exact same thing happened but this time the repairman said it was going to cost me $375 plus tax for new gaskets and pump plus labor. I said no way and he still charged me $109.15 for the service call, etc. I spoke with Samsung this morning and they put me through to SEVEN different people. The last one said I will hear the answer from upper management in 24 to 48 hours. I am disabled and on disability from work (60-years-old) and cannot afford all of this happening to me! I still was saving for the fridge and stove - forget that now!! This model should have been recalled! The net is FULL of people all having the same problem with the 5E error flash due to the tabs breaking off. I am so upset!!!!! :( Is there a class action suit for this problem in Canada?

I bought Samsung refrigerator two years ago. The door shelf broke three times so far. The first two times refrigerator was under warranty so Samsung provided free replacements. This is side by side refrigerator and it has water dispenser. The water is constantly dripping from the water dispenser. Also it has a very slow flow. It also has ice maker, however, whenever you try to get ice, it just spills all over the place because the opening is too wide. Very poor design and quality. Samsung tried to sell extended warranty. I told them when this refrigerator dies I am towing it to landfill and I will never ever buy anything Samsung. This is an extremely low quality refrigerator that was selling for $1800. I also have Samsung microwave. Do I need to tell you that the microwave door broke in less than two years? It was the plastic hinges that are again very brittle. $200 to fix (50% of the original purchase cost). Shame on you Samsung for being cheap and using cheap brittle plastic parts.

We bought Samsung side by around May 2012. It has had several issues beginning almost immediately. The front panel went out twice and during the second time all the food spoiled. The technician had the nerve to say it was our fault because someone had to hold the buttons on the panel for it to go off. When I told him we were sleeping and woke up to this issue, he called us liars. Then a few months later this crappy appliance began making a horrible noise. This time a motor had to be replaced. So for two days we had to defrost it, so no food in our house for 4 days (2 to defrost/ 2 to get cold enough for food). So today, not even 3 years later, a tech came out and said the entire rear panel of the freezer and all components behind it need to be replaced. When is enough, enough? We are so angry they just wont replace this crappy Samsung refrigerator. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG APPLIANCE!!!

I cant say enough how horrible our experience has been with these products. Refrigerator doesnt get cold enough, ss finish is terrible, microwave fogs up on glass in door and told thats normal. Range has been a nightmare. Electric stove top is terrible, uneven heat, burns, no heat, burns, no heat. Info panel sometimes lights up half, meat probe does not work, oven door locks on its own. Called for repair. Replaced info panel. Now burners turn on by themselves to high heat! Had to pull stove out and unplug as it would not turn off. One side of panel gets burning hot. Too long of a list to go on.Customer service is a joke. On hold an average of 1 hour with a continual loop of telling you to get on website to schedule repair. Website is no help. Get on live chat, 45 minutes waiting for response. Nothing. Call back, one hour wait on hold. Finally to be told, someone will call me in 1 or 2 days. I cannot have their phone no. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH EVERYTHING. JUST HORRIBLE. Plan on taking days off of work to schedule and to have repaired. Appts are a joke. Someone will call in morning to tell you about when they may be there. HORRIBLE.

Samsung microwave SMH9187 - As others describe, the microwave started to beep and the -SE- error code appears. This signifies a display panel issue. Some have had success disconnecting power source for ~15 seconds. Others had success by simultaneously holding the stop/clear and enter/start buttons for 20 seconds. Someone else recommended disconnecting the display panel. This is easy. It is easy to remove the plugs and on my model, only the two white and blue plugs at the bottom could be incorrectly swapped but the blue plug connection has the word blue clearly shown. I had disassembled and am trying to use fans to remove moisture. This malfunction occurred after a nearly two inch rainstorm, so there might be some moisture causing the failure. Samsung said they would extend the parts warranty even though I am outside the 1 year warranty, so I would need to pay for a serviceman. If it is just the display panel and if I can get the part for no cost, this is an easy install.

I purchased. Samsung refrigerator in 2017, and had to have it repaired three times, finally gutting all cooling apparatus and replacing it to make it work. Even so, I purchased a Samsung range in 2018 on the advice of my local repairman. This stove was two weeks old when the black stainless steel coating began to peel away from the door of the stove after being cared for as the directions indicated: soft cloth and water. Home Depot and Samsung claim that this is not a mechanical issue and therefore not covered in any way. Then, a few months later, in November 2018, the cooking grates began to shed flakes of coating, right near my food, and rising was occurring and visible. They replaced them after a few months (March, 2019) more and several calls. My one year warranty was up in May 2019, the new cooking grates began peeling and flaking again in August. After much talking and being patient but firm, they have agreed to send me new grates, but why bother? They will peel again in a few months! I am so frustrated, how is this company allowed to make substandard appliances that are a danger to people and not even held accountable? I am really concerned about this flaking coating so near my food. I really want this stove out of my kitchen!

If I knew then what I know now about the poor workmanship on this unit I would have not purchased a Samsung. Of all the refrigerators I have purchased over the years this one is the worst. Ice maker constantly freezing up, water leaks under the crispy drawer and freezes up to a point where we can’t open drawer. Need to remove drawer and chip away the ice to free the drawer temporary until the need to break away the ice again, about once every 3 to 4 weeks. Totally disappointed with my Samsung refrigerator and would not recommend any of my friends or family members to purchased one.

There is a known problem with the French door model freezer seal. It leaks and then builds up ice behind the drawer. The frost free freezer must then be defrosted. This happens about every 9 months. Replacing the seal will work for some time but the defect returns.

Bought this fridge in April 2016 had ice maker replaced November 2016. Ice maker sheet if ice could not use was replaced. Now April 2017 ice maker iced over. Call again for service was told my warranty was expired but they would give me extension to have it replaced again. I called April 17 for service. They set the appointment for 4-28. They text me the name of company ticket number and phone number. Well of course no one showed up or called. I called Samsung repair service, was told the service center cancelled my appointment after I took the day off work. Well anyone that has dealt with Samsung knows they make you so mad you end up hanging up on them. So now to file a complaint with the BBB. As Ive seen all the complaints they cant do anything about it. Samsung should not be allowed to sell this junk.

My husband and I purchased a LG French Door Fridge when they first came out
My husband and I purchased a LG French Door Fridge when they first came out. It lasted 3 years, the motherboard died. After much research we purchased a Samsung French Door Fridge model RF266AEWP. As of right now, the noise from the fan in the fridge hitting the accumulated ice is pretty loud. Loud enough that I cannot hear a conversation in the next room. My husband called Samsung in regards to this (after we had defrosted the fridge 4 times since June of 2015) and they said that we would have to have a repair person come in and fix it to the tune of $140.00. Samsung has been aware of this defect since 2005 and has done nothing to rectify the situation. Needless to say I have now joined the thousands of other consumers in a class action lawsuit against Samsung. Now onto the Samsung stove we purchased. We purchased a Samsung stove, had it installed. I did the self-clean cycle on the stove one night and opened it to wipe out the soot that was inside and noticed that on the bottom panel of the stove, the paint had melted. My husband called Samsung and was told to shut the stove off and shut the gas off to it as there was a defect and the house could blow up. HMMMMMM just a little scary. We called Best Buy (where we had purchased the stove) and they were very gracious with us. They told us to come in and pick out another stove. We picked out the 5-burner stove with the large capacity oven and a warming drawer. It was originally $2500 when we first saw it but was on sale for $1500. I guess we should have seen the red flag when the price was reduced by $1000. But we bought that one to replace the defective Samsung stove. Well about 8 months ago we kept getting an error of E08. I googled the error and Samsung advised you to shut off the circuit breaker or unplug the stove. So now every time we get the error, I have to pull the stove out from the wall and unplug the stove. Needless to say, in the future we will NOT be purchasing any more Samsung products. I cannot understand why they are rated so high.

Samsung RB194ACW/XAC - I purchased this stylish, freezer on the bottom, Samsung refrigerator in mid-2010. After two weeks, the digital temperature display panel on the front was showing errors in the shape of the numbers and some bars of color were missing. The fridge seemed to be operating okay, but a year and 2 days after purchase, the refrigerator portion of the device began to stop cooling. The temperature readings on the front were whacky-looking and the inside of the fridge was clearly warm and foods began to spoil. The fridge was on and running, but there was no cooling effect. This started on Thanksgiving weekend, with a large family meal on. The freezer (on the bottom of the unit) was still working. A call to Samsung Canada was very unsatisfactory. I was told, curtly, that the refrigerator was past its warranty and they would not help me. The warranty was two days expired. I called the store that sold it to me. No help there either. I paid a private appliance repair company $340.00 to have the sensor repaired and a new temperature digital panel installed. It took 2.5 months for the parts to come in and three visits by a repairperson. The first two digital panels arrived in the wrong color. Today, less than two weeks following the repair, the fridge is again not cooling. The digital panel says it is 4 degrees in the fridge, but its very warm in the fridge and food has again begun to go off. The freezer still works. I removed the back protective panel and found the fridge coils completely iced up and the tiny plastic fan that is supposed to move air over the coils is encased in ice and inoperable.I guess Ive been dealt a lemon. I will not have this fridge repaired again. After reading many identical complaints on this and other sites, I realized that Samsung has produced a refrigerator system that has known functional defects - which they continue to market and sell to unsuspecting customers like me. Ignoring customer complaints and providing no follow-up or interest in customer satisfaction is the Samsung way when it comes to their flawed refrigerator design. I will never purchase another Samsung product as a result.

Purchased in December of 2011 and we have had trouble with this refrigerator (model RS263TDBP) from the beginning!! We had to replace the ice container within six months because it cracked. The ice falls out of the ice maker on a daily basis. Within the last few days, the fan started making a ticking sound and today the refrigerator side has stopped cooling. I called the help line at Samsung and was hung up on four times. I have contacted Sears, but no one has called me back. I am very disturbed by Samsungs lack of care attitude! I think a major appliance should last longer than three years!!! We should be able to file a class action lawsuit against them! They need to stand behind their products!!

I purchased a Black Samsung bottom freezer RB215ACBP and last year noticed the loud noise and the water in the veggie drawers as well. I also noticed the freezing under the drawers if it’s not frozen, it’s a ton of water. I called last year and customer service SUCKS!!! They were no help and told me to have someone come out and told me the motor was still under warranty. BUT if it’s not the motor, I would have to pay for the service call. Are you kidding me!? I was very displeased and to see all the complaints, I am very dissatisfied. And you would think Samsung would do something about this knowing there are so many complaints. I am not happy at all about this and if there is a class action suit, I am willing to get on the bandwagon because this is a 3-year-old fridge, and now this year (summer) seems to do it the most. And the noise is back, very loud like the motor is going bad, and the leaking water is back as well. And I should NOT have to defrost my 3-year fridge. Umm, don’t think so. I paid good money for this appliance and it’s doing these things. Umm, not good... Thank goodness for sites like these. Thank you.

Bought the Samsung DMT800RHS dishwasher from Lowes and installed it. After about 6 months of use, I noticed the top rack was sagging and not very sturdy. I noticed the adjustment clips were broken off the rack and I found 3 of them in the bottom of the dishwasher. I thought it was strange because we had never used the adjusters to raise or lower the rack. I called Samsung and described the problem so they looked up the date of purchase and said they would send out new adjusters to replace them. I got the parts and installed them. After about 4 months I noticed that 2 had broken off again - I knew it was a design flaw. I checked another model at Lowes and noticed they had a different design on that dishwasher for the upper rack. One morning after running the dishwasher the night before, I opened the door and began removing dishes - they were still dirty and there was liquid soap running down the door inside that had not dissolved. I reloaded the dirty dishes and turned it on. It filled with water, but the motor did not run and there was no washing. After checking out the control board (okay) and talking with Samsung, I tackled the problem myself. I removed the wash arm, unscrewed the filter module, removed the housing and found one of the broken clips wedged in the pump motor. After removing the piece and reassembling the module, it filled up with water and started washing. Samsung needs to provide a retrofit for the rack adjusters and send to all of their customers. I am considering making a clamp to wrap around the adjuster and the rack to keep it from falling below. Put my name on the list of dissatisfied consumers and contact me for a retrofit when available.

I tried to warm up some leftovers and the Samsung microwave model SMH9187ST just stopped. I reset the time and tried again only to have the thing display X and 0 and then went dead. I checked the circuit breakers and all were fine. I checked the manual and unplugged the unit, waited a minute and plugged it in but no luck - still dead. I called customer relations and Gerardo informed me that the unit was out of warranty and he could schedule a repair at my cost. I informed him that this was our first Samsung appliance and having it break just over 2 years when we only warm up leftovers is not acceptable. I told him that we had a LItton counter top microwave which we had for over 20 years without any problems and sold it when we purchased this unit. He checked for any recalls and said that there were no issues similar to mine and I would have to have it repaired. I told him this would be the first and last Samsung product I will ever buy and I will tell my friend and relatives not to buy this crap. I, too, checked Consumer Reports prior to buying this unit just like one of the posters here and bought it because they gave it a good rating. I will not trust them anymore.

Bought this French door Samsung fridge model rf263 brand new 3 years ago. At first it was awesome, love the roomy space and design of it. But within first year it started making a really loud grinding sound. And eventually one day fridge part totally quit cooling. Ruining lots of food. Luckily we unplugged it and I researched online and found out due to defective design this fridge tends to fill up with ice in back where air flows between compartments and when it’s making its grumbling noise its ice rubbing on the fan. Only cure is to let the fridge completely defrost for 48 hours. There is no way to get to the coils to clean this fridge out either. So I defrosted it for 1 day at first, moving all food to ice chest and deep freeze is a pain in the rear. That wasn’t long enough had to do it again for 48 hours. Then it worked fine until next time it started making the noise again. Now it is freezing up every 3 months or so and today it is doing it yet again. It is NOT a reliable fridge, because when the fridge starts not cooling it doesnt notify you until it reaches about 60 degrees. Yesterday I cooked 50 dollars’ worth of barbecue meat and this morning it turns out the fridge was not cooling. The temp display was flashing 38 degrees but when I put thermometer in there the actual temp was 65. Do not buy this fridge, all the good reviews for this fridge are from new owners. The problems show up with it well after 6 months of use.

I am not sure if I got a lemon or if this is a widespread problem, but we bought the Samsung Fridge (model RF4287HARS/XAA) in November 2011. The middle shelf on the left door, as you face the open fridge, which is adjacent to the ice maker, cracked after a few months. The crack was minor but spread over time. We barely used the shelf and could not figure out how it happened. We ordered a replacement shelf (under warranty) in Sept. 2012. It had been a problem for months, but that is when we got around to it. The problem recurred very soon after getting the replacement shelf.Again, it was small to start, and we did not notice it for a while. As we were busy with kids and the holidays, we did not contact Samsung until 2013. The warranty was up, but Samsung agreed that the shelf should not have formed a crack and sent us a second replacement in early June 2013. We put in the replacement shelf, and this time, we did not even put anything on the shelf, and it cracked again... the third time, within a few days. Each time, the crack has started where the shelf touches the door at the ice maker. At this point, it is clear that the crack is being created by the ice maker. Samsung is sending a third replacement shelf but will not acknowledge that there is actually a problem with the fridge that is causing the shelf to crack. I am not certain if it is a unique defect with our fridge or more widespread. I started typing this as I approached one hour of time on hold for their customer service supervisor. I had asked to escalate things to the Executive Customer Relations team but was told that no one could take the call, or a message due to high demand. I finally abandoned my call after this long hold time.

We have an extended warranty (thank heavens) but so far, the repair people have not done anything to fix the problem. The tech replaced the fan (the one he had didnt really fit so he used tin snips to make it fit...a bad sign!) After his visit, the freezer quit freezing correctly and now we are waiting on someone to come on Monday. I hope he is more prepared than the original guy and can fix it. I really like this unit. We purchased a 3 door Samsung refrigerator Jan, 4 2016. The ice maker drips water through the ice dispenser and several times ice has lodged in the maker preventing new ice to drop and consequently build up ice. The repairman says this is a common complaint and we can either replace the ice maker ($500), shut the entire refrigerator down for 48 hours to let everything thaw or use a hair dryer to try to help the thawing process. He says it is an engineering flaw involving the air flow. Of course once you melt the ice it will happen again. I paid $3000 for this appliance and based on the amount of bad reviews I just now read regarding Samsung refrigerators, Samsung should for pay for this consistent problem to be repaired.

Our user manual was not up to date and did not show where the “reset” button was located. We called Samsung to complain, were told it was beyond the warranty. They scheduled a service company in our area. We later found out that no service company will touch it in our area due to the problems with the ice maker. The bottom line: We have no ice available in our Samsung french door refrigerator. The ice maker is overly complex, and not user friendly. There are too many ways for this unit to fail. Purchased a Samsung RF25HMEDBSR/AA new a few years ago. Since it was new, the fridge has had an issue where it builds ice blocks up the coils until it freezes the fan in place. The frozen fan and coils results in the fridge failing and food spoiling. Approximately once every three months since this fridge was purchased I have had to take it apart and manually de-ice everything.I reported the issue to Samsung and was set up with a date a service provider was supposed to show up. They never came so I contacted Samsung again and was informed that due to where I live there are no authorized Samsung repair shops. They cancelled my open ticket and told me if I wanted it fixed Id have to contact someone on my own and front the bill. Lessons learned: Do not buy this fridge, it has serious issues with being able to defrost (I should note- I live in northern WI, not an hot and humid climate). Full disclosure, this is all on me. Now that Ive seen how poor their service is, Im looking at all these reviews, and thinking I should have done this prior to purchasing. But I digress, I bought $10k worth of their top of the line appliances in the new black stainless finish. Almost immediately, the ice maker is dripping water and quits making ice. Samsung sends a tech and first thing he says is that these units are garbage and that the $300 part that is broken after only a month will break every year, as long as I own it. Not exactly what I wanted to hear!So after months of back and forth with the worst customer service dept I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with, Samsung says they will replace the fridge. They send it via freight with delivery guys who have no idea how to install. So they tear the ** out of the old one, beat up my house, and ultimately cant get the new one in. So they leave me with the old one that is now beat up scratched all to hell, and not working. Samsung says no problem, well send another! What!?! What about the brand new one you already sent on the truck? And the brand new one you just trashed?? They couldnt care less.So I finally get Home Depot to replace the fridge, and then, while wiping the appliances down with a microfiber towel, a chunk of the finish comes off the range. So I call Samsung back and they tell me, No prob, well send a tech to fix. They set an appointment for the next week and I wait. Appointment time comes and goes and no tech. I call back, they say, We cancelled because youre out of warranty. Wait, these are only a few months old! Oh, yeah, I guess youre right... Ok, well send a tech. Cancelled.I get a supervisor on the line, and she says, It keeps getting cancelled because its cosmetic, and thats not covered under your warranty. So the paint can just fall off and thats not covered!?! So I get really pissed and she says, OK, well send a tech, but if there is any sign that you caused the paint to chip, then youre paying for it. Fine, agreed. Get an email the next day, Your service appointment has been cancelled. I am literally speechless...these appliances look great, but they are total garbage. But the company is worse. Save yourself a LOT of aggravation...avoid Samsung.

Samsung slide in electric ranges have a design flaw which makes them fire/burn hazard. If you just bump the burner controls they immediately go to high heat. Unnoticed it causes fires and personal injury. We had a fire. I contacted Samsung several times and they will do nothing. Please read other reviews on Best Buy site regarding Samsung slide in electric ranges. They will support my claim. I bought my range from Home Depot and they will not let me return it.

The first service call the technician installed a repair kit for the fan in the rear of the unit, a common problem Samsung recommended to stop the noise. Several days later it was making a different noise - it sounds like the compressor. The same technician came back and could not hear anything abnormal. Now, 3 weeks later the noise is louder. The service advisor I called advised me if the technician does not hear a noise I will be charged for the service call. This unit is 2 months old. Our previous refrigerator was 30 years old and was much quieter than this one.

We have had our fridge for less than 3 years and our ice maker has had to be repaired 3 times. It broke again and now they say that it is irreparable. The back fan system broke and they offered to pay for parts so we had a tech come out and for some reason, still not sure why, they said they arent going to pay for it. So we bought a $1600 fridge less than 3 years ago, have spent over $800 in repairs. I will NEVER EVER buy a Samsung fridge again. I say RUN from them cause their refrigerators sure dont RUN. I purchased a Samsung Model #RF30HBEDBSR/AA on 9/12/2015, it was delivered to my home 9/13/2015. The first issue I encountered was the second week of April (4/10/2016). I returned home from a 3-day family vacation and realized that my refrigerator and freezer were both not functioning. I called 1-800-726-7864 and spoke with Zakiya (Ticket #**). I informed her that my refrigerator & freezer both werent functioning and that Id discovered this when I returned home after a few days. On 4/11/16 at 2:45 CST I spoke to Cori & her supervisor, Hannah. I documented & reported to her that the food in my freezer was spoiled and I had a significant amount of food lost due to the refrigerator/freezer not working properly. Hannah told me to send my receipt for the food purchased that I was reporting as spoiled.Fast forward a few days to 4/14/2016 I spoke to representative Chin (Ticket #**). I asked how and where to send receipt for spoiled food. The address I was given Samsung Electronics of America, Inc. 85 Challenger Road Ridgefield Park, NJ 07660. On 6/29/16 I spoke to Madylin (Employee # **). I was kept on hold for 45 minutes when Madylin returned I asked for a supervisor. I spoke to Supervisor Torie (Employee #**... this conversation was said to be recorded on their end). Torie told me that I was misinformed when I spoke to Hannah back on 4/11/16... My spoiled food WOULD NOT be covered. Tories tone was very condescending and not what I would expect from someone from a supervisory position. This has been an ongoing nightmare with terrible customer service from the supervisor(s) down to the customer service agents.

We purchased this range in the Fall of 2016, Model #NE58K9430, with digital dials. There are several things that are disappointing. It is very hard to keep the glass top clean (this is not my first glass top range). Cannot use pot or pan that is not smooth on the bottom as it will scratch the surface. Consequently, I had to purchase new cookware. If you get too close to the digital panel, even your clothes will make it come on. If you get too close, the lock will come on and the only way to get it off is to flip the fuse box!!! I am short and reaching over to clean the top, the timer button will come on, the warmer button will come on, the self clean button will come on, and that is with only clothing touching. I am at the point of throwing this in the garbage dump. No wonder Lowes had it on sale, which even at $1000 it was no deal. Cannot find order info, but was purchased at Lowes Hardware, N. I really like this fridge because of the price point. Although I do have a couple of issues. First being I hate that no matter what temp you put the fridge on you will have to eventually manually Defrost because there is no option to do it by itself. Second even after googling how to defrost it you have to basically take it apart and do it yourself no matter what. Thirdly I wish there was a way to either turn off the door open alarm or adjust the time. Overall, I’m pretty happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend as a good starter fridge.

I like the fact that that you can have two separate oven space with two different temperature settings or one large one. On top of the range are 5 burners & each one is a different size. The middle long burner is nice for a griddle. It would be nice if one of the smaller burners was up front. The large burner is a real power house & I seldom use it. When I do use it, the low setting is plenty & sometimes still too much. The oven door window is large enough to see in either top or bottom oven. The black top is hard to keep clean & with any stove the front knobs get splattered with grease but they come off for easier cleaning.

We bought an Appliance package last October from Bill Smith Appliances. I am very dissatisfied with the Electric range. It has serious safety issues. The knobs that turn off the range top, turn very easily as when someone walks by it, or if I reach up and brush the knob, the stovetop goes on and heats up the glass. I have done it many times. Recently, the stovetop went on, without turning it on, and burned a plastic bowl that sat on the top of the stove. Im afraid that it will cause a fire, or burn someone not knowing it was on. I am very unhappy with the Samsung products and would not recommend them to anyone. Very dangerous! There was also a promotion for buying the appliance for $350 off the total cost. I have contacted Samsung, support@samsungpromo.zendesk.com and Bill Smith, phone #239-275-5555, because we still havent received our rebate.

We bought our Samsung dishwasher thinking that all dishwashers were the same. This was just an upgraded appliance that would match our new refrigerator. Were we wrong! The LC code popped up one night after it drained out the water on our kitchen floor. No matter if I opened the door or closed it the dishwasher ran. I had to cut the power off to the dishwasher to get it to stop. Hours on the phone to Samsung only to be sent to some place for repairs that was over three hours away. Looked up reviews for this place and they were terrible. We ended up going back to Home Depot that night where we bought it from. No problem, they took it back and we purchased a KitchenAid for just $100 more. This was on a Sunday evening and we had our new dishwasher on Friday morning. Home Depot stepped up big time on this one. Apparently theres been a lot of this going on and they werent surprised but really couldnt say the words. When our installer came over he also couldnt say the words but did agree with the statement that Samsung dishwashers were the ones they replaced the most. Ill spend the time researching before our next appliance purchase. I guess appliances arent all about the looks and the fancy technology now. Experiences from actual consumers tell the real story. Been in contact with Samsung for days who are still reviewing the case and whether it will be approved to send out a service guy to repair my burnt up microwave. Our refrigerator model number RF260BEAEWW and freezer stopped cooling on February 24. We called Samsung and a diagnostic repairman came to our home on February 27. It was determined that the compressor went out and someone else would need to come and replace the compressor. After a few follow up calls and being told they were waiting on the part the repairman came on March 14th. He replaced the compressor and the final test determined the unit was not holding pressure. The repairman called Samsung while at our home. The repairman told Samsung that the unit was not repairable. After the 30 minute call we were informed by the repairman that we would receive a replacement refrigerator. We were given an exchange number ** and to expect a call from Samsung in the next day or so. We did not hear anything from Samsung so we called on March 18. At that time we were told the exchange process takes 12 business days and we would just have to wait. We explained to the representative on March 18th how difficult it is to go without a refrigerator for 3 weeks especially with 3 children. It is very expensive to buy meals (dinner and breakfast) daily. Plus, we had already had to throw away the contents of the freezer and refrigerator. The week prior we spent over 300.00 on groceries (including meat and seafood). Which if we could find the receipt we would submit to Samsung for reimbursement. But the receipt was nowhere to be found. March 23rd we called to follow up with the exchange process. We were told that we needed to supply a bill of sale for the exchange process. This was the first time we were told this. April 11th we followed up on the bill of sale. We were told that since we purchased the unit at an appliance outlet store the unit was damaged and Samsung would not do anything for us. STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG REFRIGERATORS.

We have had a recurring problem with water that turns to ice in our crisper drawers. In the past month we have had 5 technicians come out all say the same thing, the drain line gets clogged and frozen causing water to overflow into and below the crisper drawers. The fix according to Samsung was replacing the back panel of the fridge, the evaporator panel I believe. We replaced that, in less than two weeks, we had water back in the drawers. Luckily we bought the extended warranty through Lowes but had spoken to a representative at the store that suggest we call Samsung directly. I tried that tonight, after two hours on the phone, I was asked what I expected them to do. Our unit was out of warranty (its three years old), and according to them this is not a known problem whatsoever. In fact, they even told me that there was NO record of this being reported to them at all. Even after explaining to them that I had found multiple reports of the same issue, and even on their own website have found consumers asking why they are having this exact problem was still told there was nothing they could do but CHARGE me for a service call to come and take a look at the unit. After this experience, I will no longer be purchasing any Samsung Appliances and will strongly influence any family and friends from doing so as well. Their customer service is not up to par and it’s apparent that they don’t really stand behind their product or the consumer that purchases their product! The Model Number that I have purchased is RF217ACRS which is now listed as a support product on the Samsung website which I am assuming means they are no longer selling this particular product! Buyer Beware when purchasing a Samsung Refrigerator!!!

We bought the Samsung french door with lower pull out door freezer. We had trouble from the beginning getting it to maintain the correct temperature in the freezer portion of the refrigerator. We purchased the appliance through Home Depot and they sent the approved tech who replaced the digital sensors and panels. Still, the refrigerator did not get down to nor maintain the required temp.We had the repairman out again; they replace more items. We removed the ice maker altogether and no difference ensued. My husband went back to Home Depot yesterday asking that they replace this fairly expensive appliance and we were told that since the warranty had run out that they would not be replacing it. What does this mean? If we had not bought the warranty and just had them out over and over would it have forced a replacement? These digital display and sensor units are just not engineered well! We will not ever buy another and are thinking of looking for older refrigerators at vintage repair places. Apparently the idea is to get us used to expecting **, buying warranties and subsidizing the industry! !

We purchased a Samsung RF G298HD in 2011, which has run quite well. We have not had an issue with either ice maker. The large drawer needed to be replaced under warranty due to not opening easily. Our issue with this unit is all the plastic trim work is either cracking or just falling off. With a purchase price of over $2300, I would expect better quality. We replaced all of our kitchen appliances (Refrigerator, dishwasher, gas range, microwave) with Samsung appliances in Dec 2016. We reviewed the CR book and thought we picked a good one. Should have looked on here first. The ice maker froze up on Christmas Eve and then again in mid-January. We bought the 28 cu ft french door with bottom freezer. The ice maker is inside the refrigerator. The water leaks down behind the ice bucket and freezes around the mechanisms. It wont dispense ice and makes a loud knocking noise. The ice bucket is also nearly impossible to get out when this happens. We called Samsung for support and all 3 (yes 3) calls were handled horribly. They dont support their products or have a care in the world about providing customer service. The only way to resolve the issue... remove everything from the freezer and refrigerator and defrost it. This appears to be an ongoing issue and I am not looking forward to owning this refrigerator for the years I expected to. I understand appliances sometimes have issues and my 1-star rating of the appliance is largely geared towards the awful customer service provided by Samsung. This is an expensive item that I ensured had a warranty when I purchased it. I expect it to work and if it doesnt work properly and is under warranty I expect it to be repaired. Buyer beware.

So I bought a whole new appliance package when we had our house built and I bought all Samsung. We took possession of the house March 7, 2014 and a few days over the one year mark when I opened the microwave door it lost power. I tried resetting the breaker, and unplugging and plugging the microwave back in. Finally when I was about to give up I opened and close microwave door a couple of times and the power came back on. I tried contacting my rep who I purchased my appliances through but he didnt get back to me for a couple of weeks because he was out of town. When he got back I was told to contact Samsung directly. When I contacted them they said because I was over the one year mark my warranty was out of date and there was nothing they could do. When I talked to the repair company they said it sounded like a faulty door switch and it happens with Samsung quite often, so now I have to pay $100 out of pocket to pay for them to adjust the switch/wire in the door. Its more than a little frustrating that Samsung can get away with selling these microwaves with faulty door switches and wont stand behind their products.

Im sorry, its not like me to even write something negative. However, my family has been poisoned because of Samsungs malfunctioning refrigerator. The digital readout is not accurate in displaying the actual temperature of the refrigerator. Bacteria starts to grow on perishables at any temperature above 40 degrees. Upon me serving food, it read 34. This was while it was under-warranty and all you did was pay for the Parts ha. Since then, this refrigerator has not worked by freezing up once a month at least for the long 6 years Ive owned it. I firmly intend on continuing to get word out regarding this as I am a very experienced enterprise digital marketer. Dont worry, Ill keep the audience within the United States. You poisoned my family, put a band-aid on a broken fridge and it never ever worked properly. Nice job Samsung. Maybe, fridges arent your thing. If you drop that product line, Samsung may even see a spike in revenue as many people and families have been poisoned in the same way and the unanimous audience of Samsung Refrigerator owners will all feel relieved.

One of the worst appliances I ever bought. Samsung over the range w/ hood model SMH1816S. First microwave in 30 years I ever had to have repaired. And customer support on an issue with it was horrendous, and then non-existent. I recommend anyone considering this unit to finish off their kitchen matched set of other Samsung products forgo aesthetics and get something else. First, as others have stated on other review sites, the control panel is awful. It is hard to read and the buttons are set in such a way (presumable to keep someone from pushing a button unintended with cleaning the panel) that you have to press very hard in exactly the right spot. No feel and go with this unit. The food, in spite of the revolving turntable, does not heat evenly. The stainless steel, for some odd reason, is difficult to clean (exterior). We have had other stainless steel appliances from other companies that cleaned easily. Then, a short time after warranty expired, the unit failed to work. It turns out some of the factory work was not done well on the circuit board and a loose connection caused a short and burned out the primary microwave making unit. The dealer told us it was out of warranty, (barely) so we had it repaired, then one of their repair people said it was a defect, not a warranty issue and I should contact Samsung. Samsung used every excuse in the book, and finally said something along the lines of policy does not allow us to ever pay out of pocket expense, regardless of the cause or situation. End of story, end of Samsung. Later, a salesperson told me they have had numerous complaints about the unit. Samsung TVs are great. We thought the refrig, range, dishwasher, microwave would be good, too. Not happy with the other units, but at least they work. But I will never own another Samsung appliances!

My dishwasher has a lot of features with options that come in handy. A heavy scrub at high temperature is very good with greasy pans. A regular wash is also very good for just dishes, glasses and flatware. So far I have no complaints, it seems to do the job well.

We have a new GAS Samsung slide in range. After we did self cleaning the range stopped working, dead, no lights and the burners would not light and door locked. Tech came out, replaced all items, still did not fix the range. He stated it is not repairable and from the number of calls, I have had no help from Samsung and no customer service. They do not want to help the consumer. We still have the non working range and have not been contacted by Samsung. Never buy one of their product or you will be in the same mess, out the $$$ and with a dead unit that still need to be replace. 5,000.00 in the hole.

Just installed this less than a week ago! Ice works but the cubes are cloudy and small. Water wont work AT ALL! Tried all the trouble shooting, took out filter, checked lines (ice works so cant be that) cant turn pressure up any higher. Pissed off! This is nearly a $4000 fridge! Getting someone on the phone is a nightmare! Wheres the class action lawsuit?

I purchased a Samsung Bottom Freezer #RB215LABP in May 2009. Within a year, I noticed underneath the fresh produced bins there was accumulated water underneath both bins and semi-frozen. I cleaned it up and thought nothing of it. Consulted the owners manual but it failed to mention that. I adjusted the temperature but did not notice any other on-going issues.Fall 2013, I noticed the ice maker stopped working and my frozen foods were no longer frozen. Just my luck, I realized my warranty expired 4 months ago. Out of pocket payment to local service guy who informed me that its a manufacturer’s defect. The computer board for the freezer is defective. There are also issues with a loss of freon, compressor is blocked and defrost issue. Despite all of these problems, there is nothing wrong with the ice maker - it just cant make ice due to the other issues. This was my dream refrigerator and Im so disappointed that in less than 5 five years, I must purchase/replace a major appliance. Who has that kind of money? BUYER BEWARE.

We bought model #RF266AWP produced in Dec. 2011 in February of 2012. Within the first 3 months we had appliance repairmen out and FINALLY an official Samsung repairman about the DEAFENING RACKET the freezer makes when it seals. This happened EVERY TIME the freezer is opened. Sometimes louder than others... sometimes you have to stop a conversation and wait, or turn the TV up. Bottom line--Samsung says we have to live with it! Its the way it seals tightly and they are sure thats what we want, to protect our food. DONT BUY A SAMSUNG FRENCH DOOR REFRIGERATOR!

Samsung Model RF28HMEDBSR. Worst ice maker I have ever had. The cubes come out like large crushed ice. The ice maker had to be replaced, about 6 months ago, now it is doing the same thing freezing up and has to be manually defrosted to work again (about every 2 weeks). The refrigerator is nosier than most - I can handle that - but I like my ice. I would not recommend this refrigerator to anyone that like their ice.Updated on 03/23/2018: Well I am back to the repair mode--ice maker worked for a while. I have had to defrost it twice this month and today when the tech came out, it was frozen up so bad that he had trouble removing the ice bin. Sigh! -They are going to replace the icemaker AGAIN. Thank God for the extended warranty.

I really enjoyed my Samsung except I do believe that part of my issue is its a side-by-side with a French door and I dont have that much room on the side by side part. The freezer down below works great and the extra drawer I love. One big issue Ive had is with the ice maker. It does not seem to make ice well and when it does make ice theyre small.

There is a class action lawsuit against Samsung. All their refrigerators have a problem with freezing up. It is very dangerous for your kids or the elderly because the fridge will run about 40-50 degrees but will say 38 on the temp. So your food could be going bad and you wouldnt know. Im surprised that no one has gotten sick and/or died and taken them to court for the culpability. They clearly know that they have a design flaw. If you look up Samsung refrigerator problems, you will find thousands and thousands of reports. It is a worldwide design flaw. I am surprised that they are not providing a fix to customers. They wanted $200 to fix it. They are a bunch of dishonest crooks. I wont buy another Samsung product in my lifetime.

We renovated our kitchen over a year ago and bought new appliances (fridge and range/ oven) at Lowe’s from Samsung. I thought we would be getting a quality product because the LCDs and monitors Ive purchased in the past have all been quality. We rarely used the oven at home but noticed that it would take an hour or longer to heat up. You would just hear it cut off and on the whole time. When I contacted them they said that I had to pay for the repair because it had been one month out of warranty even though Ive seen numerous posts about this issue from other Samsung range oven owners model number FTQ353IWUX. The fridge has the change filter warning that randomly goes off and the ice maker gets ice all over the fridge door. I will never purchase another Samsung product in my life and will deter anyone from buying their subpar overpriced products.
