Dont be fooled ... as we were by salespeople who tell you that Samsung appliances are top of the line. We bought a front loader washer/dryer and French door refrigerator less than six years ago. All three appliances have been repaired at least once. The refrigerator, however, should be singled out as a LEMON -- we continue to have the same problem. We even went so far as to buy the extended warranty which (shockingly) expired last May. Samsung? Never again.

I have been using my Samsung DMS 600TIX dishwasher for 2 years (naturally just out of warranty). It looks beautiful and is stainless steel which gives the impression that it is a quality product. Far from it!! The springs on the doors need replacing on both sides (one snapped with a very loud bang when I opened the door). The catch which keeps the door shut is also broken. Very disappointed and will never buy Samsung again! I spoke to Tafelberg who sold it to me as well as Samsung and neither are the slightest bit interested.

This SAMSUNG refrigerator is less than two years old and its already had numerous service calls. 1) ice maker did not work. There is a class action suit for this, 2) handles easily break off due to ridiculously cheap plastic parts, 3) lower shelving is very difficult to clean, 4) poorly designed; retractable door guard (again) easily breaks, 5) poor customer service - average wait times are one hour so rely on callbacks from India and finally, this all means 6) poor value for your hard earned money. Unfortunately, some of the other models and brands arent much better. Save yourself the aggravation and avoid this model. Samsung should stick with making TVs and avoid making refrigerators. If you ignore this advice then at least consider an extended warranty. You will definitely be using it.

This is an awesome refrigerator. You have tons of storage space and is well designed to be flexible and easy to adapt to varying needs. The only thing bad about it is the ice/water dispenser. It takes forever for ice to come out and because the tray is so shallow and poorly designed it is constantly getting water all over the floor.

The story begins less than four years ago. We purchased an entire suite of Samsung kitchen appliances – range, refrigerator, dishwasher and over the range microwave. Since installation (less than 4 years ago) the range began turning on (by itself), a clearly dangerous situation. We found online that this has happened before with terrible consequences. We replaced this range with a Frigidaire range. So far, no issues. Now the dishwasher is not drying. I went through the manual and completed all recommended options to resolve this issue. I am now shopping for a new dishwasher, as nothing I have done seems to make the dishes dry. The refrigerators ice maker has always been an issue in that it does make ice but very inconsistently. The cubes are malformed and at times, it simply stops only to start again whenever it feels like it. I can say that the microwave has, so far, not given us any issues. I would like to warn anyone considering the purchase of any Samsung kitchen appliances to do your online research. I believe that if I had done so prior to investing thousands of dollars with Samsung appliance, I would have thought better.

Bought the Samsung French door refrigerator in 2014. In 2015, it stopped cooling twice. Had to be thawed at home since it is already out of warranty. Which is ridiculous. Samsung service is of no assistance. Just refer you to a local repair shop who refers you elsewhere because they refuse to service Samsungs products. If I had known about the short life of this refrigerator and the inability of it to perform its only job of cooling food, Id have definitely switched to another brand before the purchase of this $1,500 piece of pretty - looking junk. Samsung has been made aware of this design flaw for years, but due to selfishness and greed have refused to address the issue, fix / redesign the problem coils, or even recall their junk refrigerators. They have done a huge disservice to their consumers by allowing these pieces of junk to remain on the market without fixing the issues. I feel they should be made to recall the problem appliances. We lost over $300 in food and even the babys formula. Theres no excuse to sell high priced junk to consumers without standing behind your products. Bad business practices. Samsung should just stick with cell phones and computers. Their refrigerators are not worth the money or bad reviews. Just stay away!

I have been searching the net reading all the negative things said about my less than a year old fridge. Mine also freezes inside the back panel, makes so much noise I cant watch TV. So, once again in less than a week I have to defrost it. I wish I had seen these reviews first. I have a Samsung TV, fridge, dishwasher, gas range and microwave. None of them have been what I expected or hoped for. Glad I bought a GE washer and dryer!

I bought a microwave, dishwasher, and range in December 2011 and have had many problems with all three appliances. The range elements do not heat evenly. The dishwasher after 9 months of calls to Samsung, they finally refunded my money (pump issues). The microwave (model number SMH9187B) started flashing 5E code 1 month before the warranty was up. It took 6 months for them to replace the micro board and now the same problem. I called and was told they have had no complaints about the micro board being affected by moisture. After reading all the complaints here, I am calling again tomorrow. I will document every call and add it to the 6 pages of notes I have already accumulated. Dealing with Samsung customer service is a joke. I will update!

I purchased my Samsung French door refrigerator, model RF26HF, December of 2014. From the start the fridge was louder than my old one. Shortly after that the ice machine was producing ice at a very slow rate and is currently making ice when it wants too. We have also encountered a flap misalignment on one of the French doors. Currently, August 20, 2016, I found a pool of water at the base of my fridge, underneath the food storage bins. When I removed the storage bins I discovered a thick piece of ice the width of the base of the fridge. I also saw water dripping from the twin cooling back panel as well as coming out from the base of the door. As figured I was over my one year warranty and Samsung needed to charge me to look at the problem.Samsung did try to blame it on a filter issue and then a humidity issue, which is neither the problem. Samsung left me with no resolution and stated a technician needed to be called in to determine the exact issue. I was not given a price because that couldnt be determined until a ticket was created. After hearing this ridiculous news, I have had enough with Samsung. After reading many many poor and similar issues with this specific refrigerator Samsung needs to acknowledge a true manufacturing problem thats affecting many families. At this point with everyone having the same issue there should be a recall in place. I will never buy a Samsung product ever again!

Purchased this dishwasher (Model DW80F800UWS/AA) 11 months ago. During that time our kitchen was under an extensive remodel so dishwasher wasnt in service for 8 out of the 11 months weve owned it. Now that our kitchen is in working order we hooked our new dishwasher up. The past 3 weeks have been plagued with numerous error codes: oE, 9E and HE. Ive contacted Samsung and each time theyve sent out A&E repair service to address the problems. Although the reps from Samsung have arranged for repairs this is really becoming ridiculous to say the least. So far this machine has gone through 2 case assemblies, an ECS sensor, main control board and now needs a heater sump pump assembly. Essentially every working part, some of them twice. To say were frustrated is putting it mildly. Now the holidays are approaching and we need to wait another 2 weeks for parts. Our manufacturer warranty ends in 3 weeks. If this ever gets fixed were pulling it out and replacing it with another brand. We will never buy a Samsung appliance ever again or would feel confident to recommend their products.

I have had my Samsung French door Twin cooling Refrigerator for a little more than a month. When cleaning and polishing it I noticed pin size rust spots that are barely visible to the eye. However when I spoke with Samsung they said I should of noticed them when the fridge was deliver. We did look over the appliance for scratches, dents, and marks but these spots are the size of the point of a pin and can not be seen until you are up very close which I was today when I was polishing the doors. Since it is a Cosmetic problem Samsung will do nothing.Goemans Appliances where I purchase my Appliances for my new home said to try Stainless Steel Cleaner. I will do that, I sure hope it works. When I hung up the phone from Samsung I went to the internet to see what I could do. It is frightening what can happen with these tiny spots if you do not get them under control. My advice do not buy Samsung. They do not stand behind their products. Goemans Appliances do not service their products and most of all DO NOT BUY SS APPLIANCES. The companies are getting away with fraud.

Bought this refrigerator (RFG237) a year and a half ago. Had to replace an electronic component within the first 6 months, it was not cooling the frig part, but it was covered under warranty, no cost. Now the back of the frig is frozen, the interior shell is cracked and melted. I have to have the cover replace, the crack filled with something, and a thermostat replaced. Of course its out of warranty and will cost me $250 to fix. This has the making of a real lemon. I called Samsung and they gave me a run around. I will never buy another product of any kind from this company and I will tell all my friends of my experience.

This gas range fails within a year!!! PLUS it has been a total nightmare getting service for Samsung products. I finally realize from other reviews their products for the home are subpar. Only 1/2 the oven has worked the full oven has not. Now I have a brand new range with only a 1/2 oven!!! It is my understanding from reading other reviews if you use the self cleaning feature it MELTS the buttons and the circuit board. The response and service is very poor - that is saying kindly. I will not purchase another Samsung product ever again in my lifetime and will be telling as many other people to do the same. Canada should not allow any company to sell products to consumers in Canada who are not willing to have an office within Canada to assist those consumers. Shame on Samsung and all who work for this company. Should have bought from Sears, not Future shop. They are just as bad, or worse than Samsung because they are absolutely no help to anyone, unless you purchase insurance through them and then they pass it off on the insurance claims. The government is also not doing a very good job of protecting consumers from this sort of thing. I have read so many other stories from people who are facing the same troubles with Samsung products. On Feb 12th 2020, I had a new Samsung Microwave, Model # ME19R7041FS delivered and installed over my range. On May 11th, the microwave turned itself on. By the time I heard the fan running the oven was so hot I could not touch it. None of the controls worked to shut it off so I was forced to unplug it. The Microwave was hot both inside and the outside as well was so hot it not touchable. Fortunately I was home at the time of this incident and was able to unplug it. I cant imagine what might have happened if I had not been at home. I feel that a fire would easily have been the next step. I called Samsung and they said they would not replace the microwave that their technicians would be capable to fixing it. It is now supposedly fixed, however, I am not confident enough to leave it plugged in when I am not here. I unplug it when I am leaving the house. I feel Samsung should have replaced this unit as it was only 3 months old when it malfunctioned. I am seriously considering buying another brand microwave and replacing the Samsung one so that I feel safe.

Quality, Repair and Customer Service Problems with Samsung RF266 - Our frid
Quality, Repair and Customer Service Problems with Samsung RF266 - Our fridge stopped cooling 4 weeks ago. We called our home warranty for service. The authorized repair person was hired through Sears who showed up in week 2. The repair person notified us that the issue is with twin cooling system and it is a known issue. He added that to identify the leak, he needs to use a die test developed by Whirlpool. However, Samsung will not let them use this troubleshooting tool. If used, it would nullify Samsungs 5-year warranty on the twin cooling system. So $225 later, we were told to contact Samsung for repair. We ended up calling Samsung Customer Service three times. First time, they told us to call the same repair shop (A&E Factory Service). We said that A&E had already been on site. Then we were given the phone number for a second shop. That shop (Affordable Appliances) would not return our calls (5) or Samsungs (at a later time). Next time, we were told to call another repair shop which ends up being a Samsung TV authorized shop. On next call, we were told to wait for a call back from Executive Customer Service desk. The call came in many days later. They ensured us that they will work on identifying a repair shop. Couple of days later, Sammy rep called asking for a copy of purchase receipt. A copy was faxed the same day. We are still waiting for Samsung rep to call us back with a plan of action to fix this 3-year old fridge. Meanwhile, our home warranty team has been trying to find a repair shop who would work on Sammy fridge. They went through Sears to bring in a second tech. A second repair appointment was made to bring in a higher (supervisor) level tech. A week later, the same tech showed up. He advised us that he will do as his ticket instructs him. But without having Sammys authorization to use Whirlpool part to identify leak, he might not be able to help us. Two and half hours later, he left with no diagnosis (or fix).We directly hired another shop from a different town to repair the fridge. This tech came up with same conclusion that the problem must be Low/no coolant due to a possible leak. However, with Samsungs restrictions, he can easily identify the leak. So far, we have spent the following: $500 in spoiled food, $400 in tech visit, $500 in purchase of a utility fridge for garage, and more than a thousand for eating out every day. There is still no end in sight! Here is what we will do in our case: stay focus, keep calling Sammy to identify an authorized local repair shop, keep track of our communications with Sammy, and we will not give up on getting this unit repaired or replaced under warranty (from any party).I am a professional engineer with background in global product development and manufacturing with emphasis on quality. I have worked with (not for) Samsung in the past. Samsung is good, if not better than most companies in product development. Most other companies have outsourced their product design and/or manufacturing to 3rd tier companies in Asia. What we have here is a design related issue that surfaces any time between first and third year (based on all blogs). Samsung would not acknowledge the problem to avoid recall action. In situations like this, the legal team is in the driver seat to minimize the cost of recall and other associated expenses. In situations like this, the brand/company involved will try to drag the engagement as long as they can. This way, some of the customer will drop off and replace their units on their own. Some will pay to get their products fixed. Others will receive a full or partial payment from Brand/Company for repairs. Limited few might get some level of assistance with product replacement.

My Samsung refrigerator ice maker is leaking and icing up. I had an appliance repair company look at the problem and was informed that the repair would require the replacement of the ice maker, auger motor kit and clip pack. The parts totaled $497.39, plus $165 labor along with $39.07 tax, total $686.46. The repairman gave me all the part replacement information and recommended that I contact Samsung Customer service since the problem I am having is common for this model, RF28HMEDBSR/AA. The customer service rep looked up the serial number and said that the ref is three years old and that the ice maker is only under warranty for one year. I said, You mean that Samsung believes that the ice maker should only last one year plus and the ref and freezer should last five years. He stated that he could do nothing because that is the Samsung policy. My recommendation is DO NOT PURCHASE A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR!

As I tell all of my friends, stay away from Samsung appliances. They may make good phones but they should stick to just that! We bought a Samsung french door, freezer on the bottom refrigerator 4 years ago. The ice maker started freezing up and not working 6 months after we bought it. At times it makes so much noise it wakes us up. Now a new problem... the fridge just stops cooling even though the freezer is still working. Its an on again off again problem leaving us never knowing when our food might go bad. Yesterday it stopped working for hours so I ordered a Whirlpool (which I shouldnt have to replace a rather expensive 4 year old fridge) online from Lowes. Then about 10 pm it just started working again. I called a repairman only to find out that, between diagnostic and the fix, someone would have to be here about 2 to 3 hours. My husband and I are both high risk if we get Corona so I really dont want someone in my home. Now I dont know whether to trust it or go ahead and spend another $2000 (were on social security and cant really afford it) or just hope and pray that we dont get sick from eating spoiled food if it goes out and comes back on while we are sleeping. From what I see on this forum Samsung, you have caused so much stress and anxiety with your defective products, not to mention possible illness. You should (but Im sure youre not) be ashamed!

OMG! There are painful customer service stories on Samsung’s own refriger
OMG! There are painful customer service stories on Samsung’s own refrigerator site that are soul jarring. Samsung’s refrigerators don’t work: **. Samsung’s behavior is clearly a corporate recognition of a refrigerator failure problem and use of a purposefully painful customer service experience to suppress or even eliminate revenue loss from fixing their problems. They can build a TV, but boy the Samsung refrigerator division... no other way to say it... sucks. Remarkable that they go adversarial with people who bought their product. These people bought their product, they supported revenue for the company. They are not the bad guys and are not deserving the persecution articulated in these postings. We purchased our remodeled condo in St Pete recently and just this week discovered that our impressive looking 3 or 4 year old Samsnot (nickname I heard in conversations about this brand) refrigerator (RF24FSEDBSR/AA) is unable to prevent foods from spoiling or doing exactly what everyone on the Samsung site is complaining about, not staying cold.In addition to the cooling system failure in only 4 years, we found the Samsnot fridge to be poorly designed vis a vis: The doors dont close! Often, very often, we look over and see that the door we had swung closed and walked away from is open slightly. There is a short lived, tiny audio alarm to alert you, but you can barely hear it. If it was loud enough, the frequency of door open alarms would qualify as Abu Gahrib sound torture. They cant build a refrigerator that has dependably closing doors? I’m 72 and never had a fridge that didn’t allow its doors to close. As Jackie Mason would say... Refrigerators are not their line of work. The stainless finish is also a challenge to keep righteous. It always smears and you need to be wiping that stainless steel spray stuff on... All the time... to keep it moderately presentable. They actually engineered a high maintenance finish. And the ice maker! What a piece of annoying scree that contraption is. It has legions of people complaining about it. After reading the online complaints, we turn ours off just to make life easier. First it jams so that to remove it from inside the refrigerator, you need Dwayne Johnson to show up and then yank it free of its receptacle. Why remove the ice maker? Once Dwayne has pulled the rudimentary ice making device out for you, it is then necessary to go in and clean out the built up ice-frost in the ice maker compartment... you know... defrost it.We bought our condo with this piece of Samsnot junk already installed, so we are shaping our posture on this Samsnot mechanical travesty to be that we really didnt pay for it and that we can kind of justify going out and buying a new fridge. Given what is written on the Samsung refrig site, we dont even want to allow Sams the opportunity to defile us with their malevolent customer service. We are the second owners and well out of the 1 year warranty but still within the 5 year warranty for the cooling system, nevertheless we see that did not do any of the people on the site much good. Fridges were effortlessly built to last 15 to 25 years in the 60s. How can these Samsung people, from a culture oriented to excellence (think Honda/Toyota/Panasonic/Subaru/Sony), be so unskilled and then so combative when asked to make things right?I feel compelled to educate unsuspecting people to the reported hazards of this brand’s refrigerator failure plus my own experience with my under 5 year failure. My efforts will never impact their overall business, but given the bevy of refrigerator makers competing for the consumers refrigerator dollar any friction to their business will offer some measure of gratification. Samsung’s own site with lots of complaints, if you missed it before: **.

We bought this refrigerator new on 07/24/2011, and on 03/27/2012 while we were at home we heard water running all of a sudden. We went into the kitchen and water was flowing out of the ice maker. We quickly shut off the water to the house and then moved the unit out and turned off the water at the wall. Because we were there and heard this, we prevented $60k to $70k in water damages. Most of our downstairs flooring is wood. The refrigerator was fixed under warranty by a Samsung contracted service organization. Then again on 08/30/2013, the unit failed again. This time I woke up at 5am and heard the faint noise of water running. I immediately went down stairs and stepped into a LAKE. The entire downstairs of our home was flooded and all the flooring, walls up to 16 and cabinets that were built in were ruined. The bill for all this will definitely be well over $50k. NO one should ever buy a Samsung refrigerator with an ice maker. The new unit failed in 8 months and the Samsung repair only lasted 17 months. This is most definitely a product liability case.

We were so excited to have a beautiful fridge with room for everything. Well we got it home and experienced the ice maker not working well. Long story short, weve had a repair company out $500.00 to try and stop air leaks because the coils would freeze over. It still isnt fixed and over $200.00 for an ice maker, that too freezes solid and Samsung does not honor repairs. So no, I would not recommend it to anyone. It looks pretty but it is costly and no one knows how to repair it properly. Not even Samsung.

I bought my Samsung refrigerator from Lowes and bought the extended warranty with it. Ive had four service calls for the same issue - water leaking below the left crisper drawer. Im told the issue is well known and there is no fix. The answer was to defrost the refrigerator from time to time. Defrosting a refrigerator in this day and age? I called Samsung, and they wouldnt offer a solution to the problem. They said they werent aware of this issue. Id have to pay a service call to them to have a technician sent out to the house. This is totally unacceptable! I will NEVER buy another Samsung product again.

I purchase a double door refrigerator model digital inverter with 10 years warranty on 16-09-2013 but before 3 months (after purchasing approx 6 month) I noticed the fruit tray was cracked. I complaint to customer care but customer care representative said our company has not covered plastic part under warranty. He demanded rs. 2000/- to replace the tray. After some time I like a hairline crack in the plastic at the front of the tray above the vegetable and fruit drawers. Sir, I dont understand what is the problem in this fridge. I think this fault is from the company... Pls check your product. Before one year your plastic part was cracked automatically... but your staff said this is not covered by us... Pls tell me what I do... what is my fault? (purchasing your great company Refrigerator) Pls solve my matter.

Keep trying to clean glass in stove, and was told by a Samsung Technician to unscrew the door, and will be able to clean. Dont do that. Cant get the door back on. LOL! Now, the dishwasher is not working. Told me it was the disposal. Paid money for a plumber, and not the disposal! But, rather the not-working dishwasher. NOW, the washing machine, it doesnt spin. Just reached the 6th year of owning our Samsung Side by Side Refrigerator RM257ABSH which we paid nearly $3000. A&E (Sears) is the only repair option... I called every repair place and also asked for referrals to repair people they knew. The A&E repairman that found the leak in our coil was very knowledgeable, but the coil I paid for never came in. The appointment date came and went with no phone call. I called A&E, three or four times before I found out that their parts source no longer carries the coil and they had move my appoint from the 6th to the 20th of February. I called Samsung, since my fridge at this point has been down for 4 weeks and was given Customer Relations... after four business days of going back and forth between A&E and Samsung, I was told that the coil is no longer available and they would have to buy back my fridge. The A&E repairman during the service call told me coils are the most common problem with refrigerators... which means that when you buy an expensive refrigerator from Samsung, you cant count on them keeping parts past the 5 year warranty. The Customer Relations person told me it was past its 5 year warranty point that they carry parts. They offered me a buy back that is reduced by 10% per year. I could have fixed the fridge for $495, instead I trash a $3000 unit for a few hundred dollars... What a deal!!!!!The total repair cost by A&E was $495.00. I paid $185.00 down for parts and the service call. Now I am out of $1500-2500 for a new fridge and Samsung may give me a small buy back amount! My advice... Never, Never, Never buy a Samsung refrigerator because they may not carry your parts after the warranty. Their fix is to give you a few hundred bucks and send you on your way to your next purchase... which in my case will never be a Samsung!!!

Refrigerator, RF266AB, new on 7/7/09... January 13, 2014, home in evening with $166.00 of groceries; felt thawing freezer unit foods. Had to load perishable purchases. Checked temps. Fridge 54 degrees, freezer 38 degrees. Referred to manual and reset according to instruction. 6:30 next morning, far worse. Unplugged unit and re-tried temp settings. Removed ALL foods and dispersed to all friends and family. Called customer service (HA!) 1/14 a.m, could possibly come out on 1/17. Cust. rep. called and said no service till Tues., 1/21//14! ONE WEEK NOW WITHOUT MAJOR APPLIANCE! Lost most of our foods. EXPENSIVE! Very nice service rep. called and came Mon. eve. 1/20. Very knowledgeable and professional. Did testing. Probably compressor. Ordered immediately. Maybe due Fri., 1/24. TEN days now w/o fridge! I called Samsung. Laticia referred me to problem solving cust. resource. I FINALLY got to Deidre in ECR on 1/22. They were very reluctant to transfer me there. No expediting part delivery. Fri. eve 1/24 Tony spent four hrs.replacing compressor! (from 6p-10p)!! He advised us to call in a.m. on Saturday if any problem. Extremely proficient young man, overworked and tired.TEN days without a fridge is obscene in the 21st century!! Samsung should be ashamed of their ethics and standards. IF I had an infant requiring formula OR a necessary, perishable medication, I was told action might be sooner.... REALLY!? Somehow Im disillusioned with that thought! Maybe they would have sent a styrofoam cooler! Samsung NEEDS better customer response, action, & customer satisfaction. How about more technicians to serve the needs of their presumed good reputation? Deplorable is the best word I can use for their lack of compassion and delays. Oh, and how we imposed on our friends and neighbors! I sent flowers to thank them! This was a MAJOR disruption for ALL... except most of the Samsung staff who probably had cold refrigerators the whole while! For five years I loved and praised this appliance. Yes, verbally. Not so sure now. We own two Samsung TVs. I pray we never have to require service. OH, and by the way... IF we had another service person from anywhere come to our rescue... we would have voided our five year warranty on major parts. Makes one wonder if that was why we had to work so hard and long for the result. Two weeks now with cold circulating air. Pray for us that it lasts, and pray it doesnt happen to YOU!!

They know this is a defective microwave they are selling to thousands of people and they are doing nothing about it! Help! The ones carried by Lowes dont work in our fridge and cant get them anywhere else without ordering online and risking it being the wrong filter. We bought a Samsung stove 5 weeks ago, and purchased the 5 yr extended warranty. We were told this would ensure quick response on appliance issues. It has worked well for 5 weeks. Last week while baking @ 350, we heard something crackling and opened the oven to find the inside door glass had completely spider-cracked and glass fell everywhere the inside of the oven. Since the stove was only 5 weeks old and we had the 5 yr extended warranty, a simple door replacement would solve the issue.15 phone calls (store, 3rd-party service company, Samsung) and several days later we are frustrated. The first roadblock was getting someone to arrange a service call. After sending a copy of the store receipt, there was more delay while the 3rd party service company had Samsung validated the receipt - seriously? Finally they call to dispatch a tech, and was told they are coming to access and take a picture to evaluate the need. I offered to take the picture and email it, and again indicated that replacing the oven door would solve the issue. So today, the 3rd party company called saying Tech was on the way. Tech shows up (no part), takes a picture and notes yes, the door glass is defective and leaves. Its now 8 days and counting with no functioning oven, and no ETA. Ive reached out to the Lowes store Manager (who has been very helpful, but also hamstrung by the same bureaucracy with 3rd party maintenance company & Samsung procedures). While I like the 2 Samsung appliances I own, given this first customer service experience, I would not purchase another Samsung appliance. We all know Appliances will break - but if one cant get a NEW appliance serviced even with the 5 yr extended warranty... Purchase from a different brand that supports good warranty service.

13 months ago we bought a Samsung Dishwasher: DW80F800UWS. Within the first 4 months it stopped working, displaying an error code 1E and 3E. Samsung sent a repair service, they had to order a part, which was on backorder (as a number of these parts were in demand) and we waited 3 weeks to get our dishwasher fixed.m Last night it fails again. Same error codes. Samsung says it is off warranty so they wont fix it. The service company, Totem Appliances in Burnaby, BC, says they only warranty the parts for 90 days. They wont fix it either, unless I pay for it. Likely about $300. I purchased a Samsung washing machine and dryer and upon receipt of the appliances the washing machine would not power on so I had to have a service tech come out. Mind you this is brand new. Never ever operated so they had to repair the computer on the washing machine. I asked for a refund immediately or an exchange and they would not honor it so I was stuck with the product. Subsequently maybe a month or so later I had to have a repair on the washing machine drum. The plastic trim on the top that holds it in somehow became chewed up and in disrepair. They came out and repair that. Not much longer afterwards I had the same problem. They came out again and repair that. Weve had a little luck for a year or so but now were faced with the same exact problem again and theyre saying that were out of warranty. Mind you, this is the same exact reoccurring problem. Our beautiful and expensive Samsung fridge has locked up several times, requiring a hard defrost. This time it actually burnt up the fan, requiring an emergency overnight purchase of a new fan. And were not sure the new fan will work - the serial numbers on our fan show that its no longer available, and Samsung doesnt have replacements. We had to go with a third party and hope their best guess is right. In the meantime our food is in coolers for two days, and the ** of it is that Im pretty sure that the best case scenario is that this fan will fit, and in a few months it will all freeze solid and lock up and burn the fan out again.Im ready to throw in the towel, but we spent a couple of grand on this (considerable for a not-wealthy family) and my husband wants to keep trying. It would be so bad but apparently this has been going for almost a decade. Im pissed off at Samsung for still putting out this shoddy product, as well as Lowes for continuing to see it. I would never purchase or recommend a Samsung appliance again after our experience with our Samsung refrigerator that we purchased in Fall 2013. After owning the refrigerator for ~9 months, I began to notice water accumulating under the deli drawer. I thought it might just be normal and cleaned it up every month or so. Around 15 months after purchase, I noticed the water accumulating more often and to a greater degree. Water would spill out of the fridge when we opened the doors (sometimes sheets of ice). I called Samsung and the refrigerator was not under warranty any longer.Over a period of the next 9 months, Samsung sent out 3 different repair companies. None of the companies could fix the problem. Water and ice continued to accumulate, spilling all over the floor whenever the fridge was opened. Large amounts of mildew grew due to the moisture. The fridge had to be shop-vacuumed monthly to clean out all of the water. After Samsung telling us that there was nothing else that they could do, we finally purchased a new refrigerator from a different manufacturer. We moved the fridge to our garage and it is now going to have to be hauled away due to the continual growth of mildew due to the water accumulation problem. We are so frustrated that we spent $2000+ on this refrigerator and it cannot even be used in our garage!

I bought the Samsung french door refrigerator which was not inexpensive but I thought it would be worth the money. As soon as the warranty was out, it started to make a really loud noise. Apparently, frost builds up behind a panel that I cannot access and the circulation fan hits the ice. I have had a repairman out twice. Samsung says to unplug it for 5 hours and let the Ice melt. I purchased the Samsung DMT 300 dishwasher in May, picked up the unit in June, and moved into the house in October. I spent three months trying to get service from Samsung, and then gave up in frustration. Each time we called, we wound up with someone who could only read possible solutions from a list, and gave suggestions such as pre-wash the dishes in the sink first, use high-efficiency laundry detergent, all the new high-efficient washers have this problem. We could never get to anyone who could authorize a service call, or even give us the name of the nearest authorized service company. Once the washer switched into extended warranty mode, we were given the name of a local (50 miles) service company who has offered to come and take a look, but are doubtful that they can help. I will never be buying Samsung in future and if the problem gets fixed, we will be selling it ASAP.

I purchased my Samsung refrigerator in 2015 from Home Depot. I will never buy Samsung again nor an appliance from Home Depot. Approximately 6 months ago I noticed bubbling of the finish on the front with peeling. This includes the left door where the ice maker is located, the drawer and the freezer drawer. The surfaces are raised from the inside out which to me indicates rust. As I began my process to complain I began with Home Depot who informed me my extended warranty didnt cover cosmetic problems. From there directly to Samsung who has consistently refused to stand behind their product. Almost telling me it is my fault. Well what about quality of the product and consumer satisfaction? In the business we own, quality is our most important aspect. Without good quality and willingness to stand behind your products you are nothing. No more Samsung for this family. I found Samsung to be unprofessional in the way this was handled and have complained to the Office of the President without results. Stay away from Samsung.

We purchased a counter depth refrigerator back on 2012. We have had nothing but problems with the ice maker and switch to dispense ice since we had it. Not only did we spend a lot for this refrigerator, we have continued to have to sink money into it to keep it working. Then we bought the $500 over the range microwave. Bad move!!! After having for one year, the number buttons on the front became hard to work. Now we have 2 numbers that wont work at all. But of course they are telling me that they dont cover this under the warranty. What good it the microwave if you cannot program in the time to cook??We also bought the induction range. I hope this holds up. We will never ever buy from Samsung again and will also advise all family and friends of our bad experience. My sister also had same issues with her Samsung refrigerator. Samsung might make good TVs but their kitchen appliances are a piece of junk and they do not care how much you spend on them, they will not cover repairing a function like the number buttons! Unacceptable!!

Bought my refrigerator model rb195acbp/xaa about 3 yrs ago. When I got it the ice maker scare the soul out of us. Extremely loud. Recently it stopped cooling from freezer and regular fridge compartment. Lost about 120 worth in groceries. They sent in a tech to fix it. Worked for a week or less and lost again about 80 dollars worth of groceries. Called them again. They said I have to pay about 120 for a tech to stop by. I cant believe this. I was a Samsung buyer. Bought Samsung cell phones. I have bought about $5,000 worth on brand new tvs and now I get this. Looking at all these reviews I guess Im not the only one having issues. Really Samsung... Never buying a Samsung product again...

In approx May 2015 we purchased the Samsung RFF18HFENBSR French door refrig/bottom freezer from Home Depot. Our renovations got delayed so we did not start using it until August. I gave it one star because it looks and fits great but the following year (after the warranty was over) multiple things started happening. First no ice, then water in right crisper and water under both crispers freezing up. I went online and this has been a problem with Samsung refrigerators, many models, for years. I didnt call them because after researching they were not even returning calls to those that had warranties. All I can say to those shopping, absolutely do not purchase their refrigerators. This is a continuing problem. I have to call a repair guy but more annoying is it may possibly be a simple fix. There is a problem with the heating coil not keeping the water from freezing in a little hole. So their fix was a metal piece that doesnt quite reach the hole too short so it wasnt a fix after all. So water freezes in the hole, then no ice, water in right crisper and water under both crispers that freezes. It also creates frost in the freezer and food in the refrigerator freezing. But now I have to pay god knows how much money for a repair guy, empty everything out of my refrigerator again. Some repair guys are also saying you have to replace the thermostat piping or something like that. Dont buy this. I never do this but I have a refrigerator in my garage that is 12 years old and has never had a problem and Samsung although they were aware from previous models continued to just make it with the same problem knowing it still didnt fix it.

In the past two weeks my Samsung refrigerator has been producing ice underneath the freezer part and I have to defrost a refrigerator from the like the 1950s. My Samsung dishwasher went out and I had to replace it And my top loading Samsung washing machine went out. This is all taking place in the past two weeks and these appliances are less than three years old. To make matters worse my 55 inch plasma Samsung TV went out last night. Samsung needs to make appliances that will last you longer than three years. This is an absolute shame that you can sell your appliances to people and within three years they break down. Samsung needs to stand behind their products and make better products. I will NEVER recommend a Samsung again or buy another one of their products.

I am very unhappy with my samsung dishwasher. It was only three and half years old and the soap dispenser broke, the top rack wouldnt side out, because the cheap plastic piece that moves the rack in and out broke. Then the drain error and low water level starts flashing code symbols comes on, and the dishwasher just stops. I DID call the samsung eight hundred number, and the lady just mostly said sorry, its out of warranty. We cant help you. Call for repairs. Then try to find some one in the area that works on samsung. No one works on them. I had a maytag dishwasher that I replaced this one with, that was twenty years old (even dried the dishes, which this samsung doesnt dry the dishes, they are still wet) and it still worked, except the bottom was rusting out. So now I have been looking around for a replacement, and I am totally confused as to what to get. Can anyone help me?

I have had this dishwasher running now for a month. From the first load it has not washed my dishes properly. I always have food particles left on my dishes. I had a service tech come out and state, that is how Samsung dishwashers perform. You have to wash your dishes in order for it to wash the dishes. When I called Samsung to complain and verify what the tech stated, they initially told me that no pre-rinsing or pre-washing was required. But 5 minutes into the conversation, they tell me that the tech is correct, dishes must be pre-washed and pre-rinsed.The service tech had also told me that the Samsung dishwashers are notorious for leaking. He has to replace hoses and units all the time because the plastic tubing gets pin hole leaks from wear and tear off the hot water coming in and out of it. Buyer be aware! Now I go back to Home Depot and they will not return or exchange the product because it has been more than 48 hours since we have had it (but less than 90 days from purchase, and less than 30 from installation - and installation was paid for separately when we were ready to install as we were going through a kitchen renovation and needed more time for the cabinets to be completed). Reading on these Consumer Affair complaints, it looks like its time for a class action lawsuit.

Lets starts with the nice sturdy looking knobs. The inside is a piece of plastic that breaks within a month. The NX58H5600SS convection oven is worse than a normal oven and takes longer to cook food. 4 short months after the warranty was up, it starts randomly beeping and giving me a -SE- on the screen. Wont even show the time. None of the buttons work even after all the troubleshooting. Troubleshooting for this code is just push off button. Ok well the buttons dont work. So unplug for 30 seconds. Now that thats done it is still displaying the -SE-. Thanks Samsung as a service call will cost at least 300 to come fix it according to other reviews. What a piece of crap this oven is. Will never buy Samsung anything again. Not like they even care! My tv, all my phones, washers, dryers, nothing ever again! And the service call person sounded like she couldnt give 2 craps seeing as how she told me it was her Friday. Wasnt even concerned that I just spent $900 on a stove that ** the bed 16 months later!!! Bad Samsung! BAD!

I bought this range in November 2013. From the first day the temperatures of the oven were inconsistent and the convection setting was even worse than the regular oven. I had a Samsung service technician come for service twice and showed him pictures of the uneven results of my baking attempts. He said there was nothing wrong with the oven and finally replaced the thermostat to appease me. I really wish I returned this range at that time but decided to make do. Over the years its gotten progressively worse. The upper convection fan doesnt work so I cant even use the upper oven because it wont let you use the regular setting in the upper oven. When I use it as a full oven with the regular oven setting I have to rotate the food to try to get it to cook evenly. The oven makes terrible noise.

Upon moving into a new home, I purchased a 4-drawer Samsung refrigerator. Its beautiful and has a lot of cool features, but within 6 months the ice maker was frozen over. I contacted Samsung and they sent a repair person (theres only one in my area). He walked in and without even touching the refrigerator indicated that he could replace the parts, but Samsung hadnt done anything to truly fix the issues, so it would break in another 6 months. It didnt last that long! Within the next 8 months, it would break 3 more times. They finally agreed to replace it after the repair person refused the job the final time. They led me through a long process of providing documentation and then indicated that they couldnt find a replacement (even though they are in all of the big box stores near me), so they offered me a refund. I accepted it and they led me on an even longer documentation process -- requested paperwork piece-by-piece (first the bill of sale, then a picture of the warranty information, then a scan of the sticker on the inside of the door...), indicate they didnt receive what Id sent and ask for it to be sent again; send the wrong form and after I call, send me a new form, indicate they didnt receive it and ask for it again... This continued until I wrote an email to the Executive Vice President. I was assigned a designated contact, whose title indicated she was in the Presidents Office, who was no better than their original customer service representatives. She only assisted when I initiated the contact and what was supposed to take 5-7 days, took over 2 weeks. Upon getting my refund approval, my designated contact told that Id receive two emails -- one asking for all of the information (ignore it, she said) and a second that would request my bank information to get a direct deposit. Amazingly, Id receive the first email repeatedly, but never get the second one. I now have to wait for a check to be cut. I have already been in the process for two months and am now told that it will be an additional 2 weeks to get a check. As the check is too large to put through my banks app, I will have to drive over an hour to the nearest branch. At the time Im writing this, Florida has just entered a 30-day stay-at-home order; therefore, I will be unable to deposit it for a lengthy time. Buyer beware! While Samsung appliances look pretty (my dishwasher is also a disappointment!), they are poorly made and their warranty is painful and designed to discourage you from using it.

Subsequently, an engineer visited us promptly and the fridge was handed over to the representatives of Vision Cool Services, 2 New Taratalla Road, Kolkata -88 on Friday, 17th of December with the verbal assurance that my fridge would be returned on Tuesday, 21st of Dec. I had requested for a standby fridge as we are a working couple and a fridge is a necessity but I wasnt provided one. On the 21st, I was given an estimate which I confirmed again with the assurance of a delivery on the 23rd. I have taken leave today in order to take delivery of my fridge. After repeated calls routed through your customer care, I was informed that they do not have a delivery van at their disposal today. I have made the purchases of perishable non-vegetable items which will now be wasted. Such callous and irresponsible behavior is not acceptable. Samsung OTR microwave Model SMH9207st - Wow, where to begin! I believe I bought this microwave in August of 2013. I will explain later why I dont know the exact date. In December of last year I got the dreaded SE code. I called Samsung (after reading all the horrible reviews about my microwave) and told them I was getting the dreaded code. They said since my microwave was over a year old, the warranty had expired and there was nothing they could do. I asked to speak to superiors and went through four of them and they all told me there was nothing they could do. Sooo I threw away the receipt, the owners manual and the mounting screws. He took down the microwave and I told him to take the stupid thing to the dump. Luckily he hadnt done it yet because a couple days later I received an email from Samsung saying that they were going to pay for a one time parts and labor fix.A company called me and set up date and time to come out. The tech came out and noticed that my microwave had scratches in the bottom and said it was a fire hazard and he didnt know if they would fix or not. I have heard online about the glass plate wobbling so maybe that is how it got scratched. They called back and said they ordered a new door and I would have to pay for the coating paint to cover the scratches and also the mounting screws. Tech came out and the door had the wrong connections and wouldnt work. Had to reorder. Came out today, replaced the door in a couple minutes and told me he was through...everything was working...clock, light, etc. As he walked out the door I opened the door and closed it and it DIED! I called him back in and he made a phone call and said he would have to reorder another door! Going on almost three months so far and still no working microwave. Luckily a friend had an OLD $50 microwave that she let me use and it has worked wonderfully! I need to know how to join class action lawsuit. I just want a different microwave! FRUSTRATED!

Purchased Samsung Refrigerator in April of 2019, by Sept of 2019 freezer stopped working, a week later refrigerator stopped working. Called samsung and they sent out 2 different repair places, first one told us it was a sealed system and they did not work on those. Called Samsung back and asked them to replace the refrigerator they said they would have to try to repair first and unless there was a second problem that came up they would not replace it. Well that second problem was the refrigerator stopped cooling, I placed a thermometer that I purchased in refrigerator and took pictures, of temperature. The thermometer said 48 degrees while Samsung digital readout said it was 34 degrees. We lost over $400 dollars with of food and we see that Samsung will possibly reimburse up to $200 (maybe). Second repair person came out and said that he could not fix problem today that he would have to order parts which would take 3-5 days to get then schedule another appointment to do a temporary fix, he said he would recharge the system and then when we saw a temperature change of 10 degrees to call them and they would send a tech back out to attempt to find the leak. He stated that once they found the leak they would have to order parts and schedule another appointment to fix said it could take 2-3 weeks. All he did was take down serial number and model number never even checked out to see if he could find a problem. I called Samsung back and they did their Usual BS trying to get me to wait on repairs that could take another 2-3 weeks. I told her how about I come to your house and take your refrigerator away and you have nothing to store food in would that be an inconvenience. She said I understand your frustration but there is nothing I can do. I asked to speak to supervisor and she finally approved to replace the refrigerator said it would take approximately 7-14 days to get a replacement. Their Customer service Sucks. The refrigerator is a POS. I will never purchase any Samsung Products no matter what From here on out. Save yourself the headache and stress of having to deal with them and buy anything but Samsung. I bought a Samsung refrigerator 9 months ago. It worked for 4 months and stopped cooling. Then six repair calls, five repairmen, and several replacements of parts later, including the compressor, I was told that it was not repairable. Unable to reach Samsung, I contacted the California’s state attorney general’s office and they contacted Samsung within a week (complaints are not new to them). Someone from the office of the president called and was annoyed that I did not contact them first. I noted that they do not want to be contacted; otherwise, the number would be posted online. Instead, there is a bogus number with their corporate address. I was told that I would receive a full refund. They later indicated that full refund was only the price of the refrigerator, not the total purchase price (which included $158.00 in taxes). Ive refused to accept less than the full purchase price. I have no refrigeration for 5 months now and they do not care. Something should be done. Dont buy Samsung - you will regret it at some point.

My experience mirrors one submitted by James. Same model dw7933LRASR. Difference is I had terrible customer service and they managed to dawdle until warranty ran out and will do nothing now. The washer will NOT clean even a plate that has been well rinsed with no dried on residue, nor a glass that contained milk but has been rinsed out. It also will not dry dishes even on sanitize cycle and expensive rinse aides. Their solution for that was crack the door a bit as soon as cycle is complete. But that is a fairly moot point since half of contents have to be rewashed by hand. Ice maker wasnt sealed properly causing moisture inside fridge. I have had many issues with the ice maker and it was replaced three times. I thought mine was the only one. Come to find out there are so many others with the same issues. I contacted Samsung again once I knew there were ongoing issues and mine was not the only one. I explained that I had a failed back surgery with restrictions on lifting and these 20 lb bags of ice are not easily handled. We had our Samsung fridge for 3 years in July and the compressor decided to fail, with the warranty expiring after 2 years. However, Samsung organized a repair agent to attend at a cost of $130 for an onsite visit to tell me it was the compressor and that it would be covered under warranty as the compressor has a 5-year warranty on it. That was great so they organized an agent to attend again (Samsung Plaza) to pick up the fridge, so I waited all day and they never showed up. Then the following week, they finally picked it up. After a week of them repairing the fridge, they delivered it back. They delivered it in the pouring rain, it was windy and they were in a rush. In such a rush, the truck door smashed the side of my fridge. As they brought it into my house, they scratched and dented my door on my house. They broke the wheel underneath the fridge and pushed it along my floor boards. They have now made a mess of my floors by denting the floor boards from my door all the way to where the fridge is located. When they left, I went to shut the door and noticed pieces of the fridge on the floor and as I looked down, I noticed the door on my house was damaged and the massive dents in my floor. I then contacted them straight away to tell them because by this stage, the delivery guys had driven off. I had a 3-month-old baby in my hand at the time. Thats why I hadnt followed them out. When I reported it, they were great and shocked about what had happened and were making a case of it.After many, many calls since 9th August 2012, they finally decided to approve they would repair the damage. I have spent time getting quotes for the door and my floor to be fixed and forward them on. I then had the owner of Samsung Plaza come out to view the damage and she advised she would send me a check for the door to be repaired but had someone she knew who would fix my floor. Since then I have again made many, many calls and emails and really havent got anywhere. I was advised a repair guy would come 31 October and had a call in the morning to cancel. I then told her that I had the painter coming out to repair the door and needed the check for payment and she advised she would send it in the mail. This has never been seen. I have contacted her chasing the check and the repair guy and always am told, Ill call you back. I have been pretty patient and its wearing very thin now after almost months of this. I need help on getting to the bottom of this. In the meantime, I have another Samsung agent attend to pick up and repair the broken wheel on my fridge.

I bought a 5-year warranty from Home Depot, where I originally bought this refrigerator on 7/15/13; it arrived damaged out of the box; the 2nd refrigerator, which is sitting in my kitchen, wont make ice and the temp in the fridge doesnt get above 54.6 (so all food has spoiled!)* get my current fridge repaired -- TO NO AVAIL! I have called and spoken with 6 different Samsung reps -- one told me parts were on order from Via Appliance; another said well have to refund your money for the fridge but wont refund my $ for the 5-year warranty (I have to deal w/ Home Depot for that!), and yet another said they couldnt help me -- I have to contact their external affairs dept. but refused to give me a phone number. It seems the ONLY appliance repair company that Samsung has under contract in Northern Virginia is so backed up with Samsung refrigerator repairs from customers that theyre refusing to take new service requests from Samsung. There seem to be so many problems with these refrigerators that appliance repair shops are REFUSING to repair them -- even when NEW and even when THEYRE under contract with Samsung. Unbelievable!!! STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG REFRIGERATORS!!! Theyre not only a piece of junk, their customer service is non-existent!

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator 1 1/2 yrs ago for a significant amount of money. Had issues from day 1. Spent many hours on the phone with countless repairs. It was a very long battle with Samsung. In the end they do not stand Behind their products. I will never purchase another Samsung product. Poor customer service/poor product.

This series DW80F600 dishwasher showed signs of high temperature heating errors when it was only 10 months old. We called support and were told that it would cost a certain amount ($273.43 to be exact) to have someone come and look at the machine. Just look at it, not fix it! WE went ahead and had them look at the problem and of course, the part needed wasnt under any sort of warranty. Now just over a year old and we are are stuck with a $498.75 bill for a machine that still doesnt work. The error lights came back on the very next day! We could have purchased a brand new dishwasher for much less and gotten much better results. I am warning all who think purchasing this machine, to rethink that plan!! This is the worst dishwasher on the market.

Water constantly leaks and pools under vegetable drawers. We must chip ice away every few days so that food doesnt freeze. This fridge has the ice maker and water/ice dispenser on door. We turned off the ice maker and disconnected the water thinking it would stop the water leaking but it did not. Ice maker worked great but the water leak is ridiculous. We will never purchase another Samsung refrigerator again.

Bought French Door refrigerator (RF263AEBP) in 2011 from Lowes. Bought the 4 year extended warranty. In September 2013 the fridge coil froze. Tech came out and replaced fan and shroud. Now 2014 it is freezing again. Search reveals it is a common and known problem by Samsung and they have not fixed even after class action in 2010. They have not come out with a permanent fix. They should do a recall. My extended warranty runs out next year a month before this will probably happen again.
