In reading all of the problems with Samsung microwaves catching fire I am not sure a call to Samsung will be worth the hassle. I am just thankful I was in front of the microwave and saw the flames. I will buy a new one and IT WILL NOT BE SAMSUNG. Live and learn I guess. I also bought a refrigerator and stove. Really worried about those now too. Its a good thing that the average consumer is made of money. Shame on you Samsung.

I like this fridge except the ice maker has become very slow. There have been 3 repair calls over the last 4 years all related to the noisy freezer, broken ice maker and now leaking ice buildup. Also the black metal skin dents very easy and is pocketed with small dents. We have Samsung Model RS25J500BC.

I bought a Samsung french door refrigerator two months ago on 5-22-2015. I noticed yesterday that the SAMSUNG letters on the front of the refrigerator were beginning to peel off. I emailed a complaint and got a call from customer service today. They claim this is physical damage and not covered by the warranty. I explained to the representative that I have been using a 3M stainless steel appliance cleaner with a microfiber cloth and there had not been any abuse to cause this to happen. She transferred me to a more senior representative who made the same claim. This is ridiculous!!! I have a Samsung stove and microwave that Ive had close to a year with no problems with the same lettering. Ive been a loyal Samsung customer owning Samsung TV, (2) Galaxy 6 phones, a microwave, and stove/oven. I was in the market for a Samsung dishwasher, washer and dryer but they have lost me as a customer.

This company is the worst company to deal with as to warranty issues. Absolutely the worst company in the appliance business to deal with if you have a problem. They only say no. Do yourself a favor. Buy a different brand. You cant speak to the same person twice. They transfer your calls all over the world. They lose the documentation you send them, tell you one thing then renege. The glass top ranges develop cracks then they tell you its cosmetic. I had a GE glass top range 15 years and the top was still perfect when I got rid of it. Run from this company!!!

I purchased the Samsung OTC Microwave SMH9087ST from Sears in 11-2010. The microwave started having problems. About 6 months later, it was showing SE error on the display and nothing would work. I got the troubleshooting info offline and it told how to flip the circuit breaker and reset it. I did that and once in a while, it worked but would always go back to SE error. In 12-2011, it began to randomly turn itself off and on in the middle of the night, and throughout the day. The light would kick on. The fan would turn on and off. It starts beeping. It has gotten so frightening we keep it unplugged now and it wont reset at all now. Sears says it is beyond the warranty when I called in Dec. 2011. I have seen tons of complaints posted on them but no one will do anything. Samsung is in denial and Sears is worthless. I have a Samsung oven that I purchased at the same time and we love it, but I wont be buying any Samsung appliances anymore after the way they have mishandled this.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator; model RFG293HAWP/XAA, in November of 2011. The wide open cool select pantry draw opened and closed properly for a few months and now it jams on a regular basis. When I called service, they told me I was overloading the draw and not balancing the contents properly. Why design a large draw that you are supposed to leave half empty? And why did it not have a warning sign displayed in the showroom model with the above instructions? I certainly would not have purchased the product if I was correctly informed. Customer Service left me with an Oh well, live with it reply.

OTR Samsung Microwave model SMH9207ST - I purchased first microwave in 2012 at Lowes and within the first year the plastic latch on the door handle broke off and the door would not close. Fortunately I was able to replace it at the store with same model. So now after a little over 2 years the panel in bottom right side that has the buttons for light and vent started sticking. After spraying with WD40 they started working again. But last night that ended when all of the buttons just pushed completely in behind the panel. So now it looks bad and I cant turn the vent off or use the light buttons. Like many others, I spent more on this model ($450) because of its stylish looks and because I thought I was getting a quality product... not so!

I bought a Samsung RF28HMEDBSR French door refrigerator 12/11/15 and it is not working correctly. I called an authorized repairman and they have replaced the ice maker, ice bin, auger for ice maker, some kind of filter on the back and it is still the same. They now say I need 2 defroster 1 for the top and 1 for the freezer. I have already spent a lot of money on this sorry refrigerator. The ice maker is still freezing up, dripping water and not keeping proper temperature. I am very unhappy with all this on a 1 1/2 year old refrigerator. My repairman wont even answer my calls now.

I bought a home where former owner installed a Model DMR577XXX Samsung Dishwasher. From day one, food particles were all over the glasses and dishes. Running it again or on Heavy does not help. I had it serviced for replacement of upper spray arm, but no improvement. Im ditching it and buying a new one after reading all of these reviews from owners with the identical complaint. It is humiliating for a guest to see those specks of food all over the glasses and dishes. I always scrub my dishes down - the food specks are coming from the water in the dishwasher somehow. DO NOT LET YOUR WORST ENEMY buy one of these pieces of junk. OH, and the cycles run FOREVER - Plan on letting it run all afternoon before your dishes are ready so you can use them for dinner!!

Another Samsung piece of junk. We have a Samsung side by side with bottom freezer and the ice maker has been freezing over ever since the warranty expired. We have to defrost it every week now and seems to be getting more often. We contacted a service rep and he says he cant even fix it because there is a hole inside the icemakers cabinet, which is covered with a piece of duct tape. Well we didnt put it there, thats how it came when we bought it. So I guess $90 just to know why we have been having issues with it.

On May 12, 2016 my Samsung side-by-side refrigerator (model RSG257AAWP) that I purchased on April 14, 2012 stopped cooling. It has been an absolute nightmare trying to work with Samsung to have someone come out to diagnose the problem. It is now May 23, 2016 and I am still calling Samsung trying to find resolution. I was assigned to a repair service (Home Service Network) on May 14th. On May 16th they informed me that they dont have any technicians that could work on my refrigerator. I called Samsung back and my ticket was reassigned to another repair service (Priceless Appliance Services). I was told that companies are to respond in 1-2 business days. I waited. Nothing! I called Samsung again. My ticket was reassigned again (Mr. Appliance of Central Maryland) and again I did not receive a call from this service repair company. When I called Samsung once more, today May 23rd, my ticket is showing that its assigned to Priceless and not even the last company that I was given so it appears that my ticket was not even reassigned. Now Im starting to think that the Samsung warranty policy is a sham. If they refer a customers ticket to enough non-responsive repair companies, at some point, especially with such an essential appliance as a refrigerator, the customer will become totally frustrated and seek to resolve the issue with a non Samsung repair service. This deems your appliance out of warranty even if you only have someone diagnose but not fix the product that you have so desperately tried to seek help for from Samsung. BE AWARE! BE CAUTIOUS! Its probably best to NEVER, EVER purchase Samsung appliances. In the future, I will only purchase appliances made in the USA.

We spent $3000 on this model fridge in 2016. By all accounts based on what Ive read about this issue, Samsung has known about the ice maker issue this model has since 2015 and did nothing to stop the sale of the fridges. The first time it happened, it being that the ice maker frosting over and water leaking out from the ice maker opening, it was two years after purchase and out of warranty, so we called a local technician. He charged us $370 to fix the issue. He said it was a very common issue with Samsung fridges and it had been going on for years. Two months after he left of course the issue came right back. Samsung is now changing its tune and is stating that they will pay for the ice maker itself and help us find a technician to come out and replace the ice maker. It will cost us another $250 to have the ice maker replaced and there is no guarantee that the new ice maker is any different than the one its replacing. My sister-in-law has the same fridge and has the same issue. My good friend has had other Samsung appliances lately and they have been terrible in terms of reliability. I am telling everyone I know to never buy a Samsung product again.

My icemaker failed a month ago and I have only encountered more issues. After the first few service calls, the repair center fixed the icemaker; however, now the fridge compartment freezes everything. Samsung now wants a sixth service appointment to look into the issue deeper. Samsung warranty support has been a nightmare and I have made no progress with the Executive Relations Team. Additionally, I completed an online forum regarding my experience and nobody has followed up. I cannot afford to take any additional time off work to be present for service calls and need a working fridge. The lack of follow-up and ownership of my issue is concerning. I am very quickly becoming a detractor and am having difficulty finding anything good to say in my product reviews.

Samsung Microwave Model SMH9207ST - I purchased the microwave in October of
Samsung Microwave Model SMH9207ST - I purchased the microwave in October of 2011 from Lowes as part of our total kitchen remodeling. Lowes installed the microwave but I was not satisfied with the looks of it as it there were several paint repairs on the inside white frame. I went to the store and explained my concern to the manager. He sent out a new microwave and prior to installing it, I noticed that there were also visible white paint repairs but not as many as the first one. We agreed to accept the replacement. Post installation, my husband and I did extensive traveling. Given the time we were gone, I would say the microwave was used approximately 1 year. Yesterday, the microwave quit working. Approximately 2 hours later, I checked it again only to notice that it was very, very warm. I unplugged it and then plugged it in again. The lights went back on the panel but it was very noisy. Within 15 seconds, all lights went off again and it did not work again. I opened the door and realized that the glass plate was very hot. We thankfully took an extended warranty on all our new kitchen appliances but I can honestly say that after reading all the negative reviews on this model, I do not feel safe with it. I will definitely unplug it when we leave our residence for extended lengths of time. I would not recommend this model to anyone. Too bad there isnt a Lemon Law for appliances like there is for autos.

4 Door Refrigerator Model RF25HMEDBWW/AA - Soon after receiving our new refrigerator we advised Samsung and they dispatched a service Tech from a highly regarded service provider. Samsung had sent a replacement front and auger, which they installed. The quality of the ice was not improved, and still many cubes were broken. We were away for the winter, and ice maker was turned off. Recently we had three successive issues with dairy products going sour prematurely, and loss of some beautiful steaks. The front panel assured me that temperature was 37. On the evening of June 5, 2016 I used two different digital thermometers and confirmed that problem was the main cooling (Upper) was registering 55 degrees F. I used a Taylor remote oven thermometer plus a fast (but not instant) digital cooking thermometer with 0.1 degree gradient. The following AM, June 6, as I was leaving the house for the day, I asked my wife to call Samsung and report the problem. That evening my wife informed me that the Samsung person asked her to unplug and then re-plug the power cord. The delivery team for our retailer had damaged the legs on the bottom of the unit, making it very difficult to move and access the power outlet. They have been slow in responding, and I will use this document to re-light a fire under them, as I am certain they will not be pleased to read their name here. I called Samsung that evening and advised that a technician was needed. They informed me that it would take several days before I heard from their agents. On the third evening past my call, I again called Samsung and was advised that there was no record of my prior call.On the 16th, the tech arrived and advised that this was a common issue caused by freeze-up of the evaporator coil in the upper refrigerator, and some new parts would also fix the ice problem. I called Samsung in an attempt to get the parts expedited, and when I requested to speak with the Samsung Service Manager I was advised that the person I was speaking with could not arrange a communication with a Samsung higher up and that absolutely nobody at Samsung would have a knife sharp enough to cut through the accumulated Samsung constipation. It is very clear that their telephone answering people have all submitted to a lobotomy before beginning work there and all they are allowed to do is read what appears on their computer screen.Due to the scheduling procedure, I was not able, until approximately 10:15, to learn if and in what time frame to anticipate the techs arrival! The tech WITH THE PARTS arrived just before 1PM on the 23rd of June. He spent several hours replacing parts, and I thought and hoped the problems were over. Ice is no better and temperatures are still warm. So today when I called, I immediately advised the computer that I would only speak with a service executive. After a 33 minute wait I got somebody in their Executive Service department. After a 15 minute conversation with him, I realized that he did not have any idea how a refrigerator worked and he placed me on A SHORT HOLD, to immediately transfer me to somebody in Refrigeration. At 1 hour and three minutes I was connected with somebody in the Dominican Republic that likely could not tell the difference between a digital thermometer and a rectal, EVEN if the digital device was inserted in his rectum. Do not ask about his comprehension of a refrigerator. He got me a reference number for the new service call at 1 hour and 20 minutes and indicated that I would hear from somebody that understood refrigeration in a day or two. THE PRECEDING WAS COMPOSED ON MONDAY EVENING, JUNE 27.Beginning on the second Tuesday of next week, I am going to begin holding my breath until Samsung discovers the concept that I invented: I have called it responsibility and service. Today, June 28, I heard from service company and learned that they will have a tech here on July 14. We are going to look for a phone number for Enterprise Refrigerator Rental, to get a loaner until somebody at Samsung elects to have our not quite one year old refrigerator deliver on its promise, keeping dairy and meat from souring prematurely, and making good ice.My 15 year old Amana did it quite well, seldom ran short and never failed to properly cool! It did not offer crushing or dispensing thru the door, but if Samsung cannot get those features right for 3 or 4 times the cost, maybe their future is in composting. I would love to discover the name and address of a responsible executive at Samsung and arrange for a second year med school student, with an interest in Proctology, to park this POS in an appropriate orifice! Is there a class action suit in process? IF SO, PLEASE SUPPLY DATA SO I CAN JOIN.

Warning! Do not waste your money purchasing this colossal pile of garbage (5.8 cu. ft. Slide-In Induction Chef Collection Range NE58H9970WS). It rarely bakes/cooks evenly and it will frequently and rapidly overheat causing your food to burn and ultimately fry the electrical panel. Upon calling Samsung the only assistance they were able to provide was how to spend more of my money on their faulty product. Samsung takes zero responsibility for what is clearly a common issue with these oven ranges. As it stands my options are to spend $$ on a new electrical panel and the cost incurred on its installation and the additional fix-it repair to stop the oven from constantly overheating, or throw the darn thing away. Im going with the latter of the two. I will never purchase anything from Samsung again. If I could give is NEGATIVE STARS I would.

The Samsung fridge was selected because a counter-depth was required. After much research on issues with refrigerators it was clear that an in-door ice/water dispenser causes significant service calls, so we wanted to avoid that feature. In addition to a counter-depth our space would also only allow for a 33 inch wide appliance which means the cubic feet is reduced which is fine as we dont have a need for a huge machine. The drawback with this new fridge is the internal ice-bucket design. It is very difficult to remove the bucket and not spill ice.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator, (Model #RS22HDHPNBC), June 16th, 2017 from Home Depot. The purchase price at that time was $2059.74. This was the second purchase of the same Samsung model which indicates that I was moderately pleased with the first refrigerator. Exactly one year and twenty days from the purchase date, July 6th, 2018, both the freezer and refrigerator stopped functioning. On July 6th, 2018 I contacted Samsung Customer Care to report the problem. I received an email from Customer Care notifying me of the assigned ticket number and an authorized service center. On July 11th the service center, Lakes Electronics, made the first service call to address the problem. It was determined the u/v dryer should be replaced and said part was ordered. On July 13th the repairman returned to replace the u/v dryer and recharge the system. On Tuesday, July 17th I noticed neither the refrigerator or freezer sections were adequately cooling. On July 19th the Lakes Electronics repairman returned and determined the evaporator should be replaced. He ordered the part and indicated it should be in the following week. He advised us that he would be on vacation and we chose to wait on his return for installation since he was familiar with all that had previously transpired. He was to return the week of July 30th. On July 20th the repairman texted me and informed me he had spoken to his office about ordering the evaporator and all should be ready for installation upon his return. On Monday, July 30th I was informed that Lakes Electronics did not have the part. Wednesday, August 1st I was told the evaporator would be delivered to the service center by Thursday the 2nd of August in the afternoon. On Saturday, August 4th the Lakes representative came to install the evaporator. He discovered the wrong part had been shipped from the Samsung warehouse and it would be necessary to reorder the part. Wednesday, August 8th the part was delivered to Lakes Electronics warehouse in Gainesville at 10:57 AM. On Thursday, August 9th the repairman returned to my home to install the reordered evaporator. On Friday, August 10th I noticed the unit was not sufficiently cooling or freezing and notified the repairman. On Tuesday, August 14th the repairman made another service call to conduct additional tests. He then determined the refrigerator was not repairable and furnished me with an exchange number, (**), furnished by Samsung. Wednesday, August 15th I called the Customer Care department and spoke to Linda. I was told I had no recourse since the refrigerator was just over one year old even though the sealed refrigeration system has a five (5) year warranty by Samsung. If the unit is deemed to be not repairable by your authorized service representative I would argue that it should be replaced or a refund issued under the coverage specified by the warranty on the sealed refrigeration system.I am extremely disappointed in Samsungs lack of concern and failure to stand behind their warranty. I have not even mentioned that I was without use of a refrigerator for 38 days due to the inefficiency of the staff or the service center. I can assure you that Samsung has lost a customer, (three major Samsung products), and I will no longer recommend any of Samsung products to anyone.

The drawer designs are complex and poor that food particles get lodged into the crevices between the various plastic parts and it is very hard to clean and if you try to remove them the plastic parts start to crack. Did not expect this from Samsung products. Poorly designed for cleaning and defrost system is pathetic. Even my grandmother fridge did not have this water leaking problem.

Bought in August 2014 with an extended warranty. Have had electronics replaced. Now it leaks. Samsung does not want to repair the unit but for ME to return it to the store for a credit or get another machine and take it home and install myself. This I cannot do. After 1 1/2 hrs on the phone, 2 representatives of Samsung hanging up on me, I have gotten one of them to agree to honoring the warranty and repairing my dishwasher. The condition is that I have to photograph my receipt and e-mail it to them. Now I have to figure out how to do that.

The ice maker failed at 18 months and has been replaced 3 times and still does not work. The door dispenser drips water all day and runs down the front of the lower 2 doors. Often the refrigerator is only 45 degrees but the door temp says everything is ok at 34! There is no customer service! All they do is deny the defect that is well documented in their service bulletins from 2007.

We just repaired the product this February 2012. Today, we had to service the refrigerator, which will cost us almost $400. Lowes stated we were unable to buy another plan. I feel the product is a lemon. We are seniors. This is above our cost of living.

I bought the Samsung slide in range because of its sleek look. However, the knobs and buttons on the front are extremely sensitive and the oven and range turned on accidentally all the time. One night while sleeping, the smoke detector went off. A towel lying on the range had caught fire and flames were everywhere. Trying to get the towel into the sink so my house didnt burn, I knocked a bottle off the counter that shattered the glass on the oven door. A technician for Samsung came to assess damage. He suggested I contact Samsung customer service. After multiple calls, I contacted them through their chat line. I was assured the situation would be taken care of, the existing ticket was escalated, and I was to be sent transcript of call. No transcript, nothing taken care of because product was not defective. The design certainly is defective and this product is not safe. Samsung is irresponsible. I had this stove 3 weeks.

We love our Samsung Smart French Door refrigerator! It is counter-depth, with the black fingerprint resistant finish. Beautiful appliance that really looks fantastic in our kitchen. This refrigerator has a surprisingly large food capacity. It has the 4-zone drawer, adjustable shelves, ice maker and water in the door. One of my absolutely favorite feature of this refrigerator though is the built-in pitcher inside of the door. It can be used as a fruit infusion pitcher and it automatically refills itself! The bottom freezer has two drawers with separations and makes organization easy.

I purchased 3 appliances on February 6, 2015. They totaled over $5000. Today, 6 days out of warranty, the water dispenser stopped working on the refrigerator. We have done everything that needs to be done - according to the manual - and it still is not working. I called customer support and 3 times was disconnected. I finally reached someone and felt I had to speak fast or there would be another disconnect. Each person had my phone number and no one called me back. I went through all of the same things I had done before the phone call. When they realized I was 6 days out of warranty, they tried to sell me an extended warranty for $400 +. I said that was absurd so they said since I was a good long term customer, they would send me to their executive support department (or some similar name). I am now sitting with a very expensive refrigerator that does NOT dispense water. I have spent the last 2 hours trying to fix this and am very fed up with Samsung. I will NEVER purchase another product from this company again and I have been a long term customer. Another thing, it is very difficult to understand most of your customer service people. There is a disconnect for sure. I was NEVER given a confirmation number, NOTHING.

The complaint was done on the 4th of June and this is the 8th of June today, and still the problem is not solved. Today we called the service center for four times. Every time we are told that your problem is on priority and will be solved soon... In the evening, a senior executive told us that it is 7 oclock and this time no one can come... and we are told to wait till the coming Monday that is the 10th of June... So we are so disappointed with their services and we found ourselves helpless in this condition. We think that we should not buy any more products from Samsung.

Water is pooling under the deli tray then freezing. This is an ongoing problem. Husband has tried fixing this and cant find an issue. I have found several other reviews that indicate this is a design issue. Of course, my Samsung is out of warranty now. So I cannot get it fixed now that I see it is a real problem. We bought the stainless steel, french door model, with a bottom freezer. It was quite expensive, just under $2700 with tax. The big lure for us was that it has two ice makers, one up top where the ice comes out through the door, and one inside the bottom freezer where it just falls into a bin. Well, shortly after the warranty expired, the bottom icemaker stopped working. We called in a Samsung approved repairman and the cost to fix the icemaker was $448! WOW! We did not have it repaired, because we thought the cost of the repair was outrageous. Also, the remaining working icemaker (the top one), when set to dispense cubed ice, spits out some cubes and a LOT of bits & pieces of ice. Note: We do NOT go back and forth between cubed and crushed on the ice selection; it stays at cubed all the time. We probably will not ever buy Samsung appliances again.

We bought our counter depth refrigerator in May of 2015. After six months the ice maker stopped working. We had a Samsung service person come out to fix it. He informed us that he had numerous calls about this type of ice maker and it is one of the worse design he has seen. I have tried contacting Samsung many times about this ice maker for this model and never heard anything back. I wrote several more times and received nothing back. Now with all their phone issues I tried again and of course got a blah blah blah letter that was completely useless. I wrote back stating that Ive done everything on their list. This letter wants me to use their Samsung people to have it serviced. Ive already purchased Geek Squad from Best Buy extended warranty. Now the ice maker has completely stopped working. Also if anyone has suggestions on what to do about this issue please respond. If anyone is having similar problems could you please write about it here. I would like to get a list going so that as a group we may get something done to help all of us. Also if considering a Samsung appliance do not buy!!!

Purchased this dishwasher in March 2013, within 6 months the heavy light sensor starts flashing, and the dishwasher stopped working. I called Samsung immediately and a technician was scheduled to visit on Oct 22, 2013. The morning of the appointment, I called A&E the company that was scheduled to get a window for repair. I was told Samsung cancelled my appointment, I got back on the phone with Samsung. The customer service department states they never cancelled it, but they could reschedule, wish they did for Oct 28. When this day arrived the dishwasher had reset itself, due to the water leakage had time to dry under the dishwasher. The Tech said there was nothing he could do and DID not even pull the dishwasher out to check for leakage. He stated maybe it is the circuit board, and used that as an excuse, so I wouldnt LOOK crazy! March of 2014 same issues started again. On the phone again with Samsung, they state sorry no warranty left. Really, by 3 days. So after disputing this argument, they scheduled another tech to return with the same original company A & E. When this tech arrived he states a leakage and possible tub issues, sump assembly issue. They could definitely see and feel water, but could not exactly determine where it was coming from. They tech ordered a sump pump and returned to replace that part on March 25,2014. Now here it is July 2014 with the same issues, and Samsung would not send out a technician unless I would agree to pay the service call. I told them this was unacceptable, because this is an ongoing issues since purchase in March 2013.They would not give in. I finally agreed to pay a service call only just to get the repairs done so I could hopefully be free of this nightmare. March 23 2014, the tech arrived and diagnosed the dishwasher and knew immediately that it was a manufacturer defect that caused the actual tub itself to leak and is NOT repairable. A replacement would be recommended (stated on the final paperwork), and he relayed this information to Samsung through the Samsung Tech line. The technician issued me the return authorization number# to start the process. When originally starting the process, I thought I would be getting a replacement, but how convenient the dishwasher has no manufacturer defects, and this model no longer available. So not they put me under the BUY BACK PROGRAM which Is a program where they depreciate the original price you pay by a certain percentage depending on length of time you have had the dishwasher, however the warranty states printed in the owners manual - if any issues is a leakage in stainless steel door or tub it has lifetime warranty!

I had a 7 year old Samsung refrigerator that froze up completely in the back which stops the fan and then the refrigerator does not cool. Had it repaired 3 times in a month. Problem kept happening and I pretty much didn’t have a working refrigerator for 5 weeks. Finally the repairman told me the whole cooling system had to be replaced. The cost would be at least 1200.00. I wasn’t going to put that much money into a refrigerator that was over 7 years old. I thought this was just bad luck and went out and bought another Samsung refrigerator. 2 years later the exact same thing is happening and I’m going through the same thing with the Samsung Repairman who keeps coming in to fix it and two weeks later it happens again. Now I find out doing my research that this is a common problem for Samsung refrigerators and there are two class action lawsuits against them. Because the refrigerator is less than 5 years old the main cooling system is still under warranty, but Samsung doesn’t want to admit that that’s the problem and replace it. Customer service is not helpful at all and they really don’t care how long you have to go without a refrigerator. Besides this problem the inside of these refrigerators are made like crap. All the shelves on the doors have cracks in them and all the wheels on the drawers have snapped off. I will never buy another Samsung product again, unfortunately it was a very expensive lesson to learn.

This SAMSUNG refrigerator is less than two years old and its already had numerous service calls. 1) ice maker did not work. There is a class action suit for this, 2) handles easily break off due to ridiculously cheap plastic parts, 3) lower shelving is very difficult to clean, 4) poorly designed; retractable door guard (again) easily breaks, 5) poor customer service - average wait times are one hour so rely on callbacks from India and finally, this all means 6) poor value for your hard earned money. Unfortunately, some of the other models and brands arent much better. Save yourself the aggravation and avoid this model. Samsung should stick with making TVs and avoid making refrigerators. If you ignore this advice then at least consider an extended warranty. You will definitely be using it.

We purchased a Model DW80J3020US Dishwasher from Lowes December 30, 2015. This dishwasher did not clean the dishes as well as our old Kenmore which was 11 years old. On May 8, 2016 the dishwasher quit working completely (no power on light). I telephoned Samsung support and was advised that a local repair shop would contact us within 24 - 48 hrs. We did not receive any contact and when I called Samsung back on May 11, 2016 they informed me that a company known as Precision Television at 800 603-2433 would set an appointment for repair. I phoned Precision Television and they informed me that they DID NOT SERVICE SAMSUNG DISHWASHERS. I telephoned Samsung again and was told that Precision Television (aka Precision Services) was the company that was going to service our dishwasher. Another contact to Precision Television proved useless and they again informed me that they had no technician for service calls and did not service Samsung dishwashers! Two more calls to Samsung (the last call was May 13, 2016) resulted in the representative telling me that another repair service, Lehmans Appliance would take care of the service. It has been 5 days since the service order was referred to Lehmans Appliance and they have not called me and have not answered 6 messages that I left. I have to assume that Samsung does not honor their warranty.

This Samsung Dishwasher model DMT300RFW never worked properly. Purchased in 2011, used less than 15 times during 4 years because made dishes dirtier instead of cleaner by spitting dark grease over them. Adjusted hot water temp as suggested, no improvement. This past year, stopped working. Grinding sound when turned on. Appliance repair person said problem was connected to the drainage pump with estimated cost of $200-250 to repair. Since the DW cost slightly over $300 on sale at Best Buy (tho my Worst Buy, ever--now I know why it was marked down to such a great sale price) I opted not to have it repaired. I couldnt even find anyone to take this almost new DW for free. Unfortunately, I still own a Samsung microwave & stove. (The repair guy cautioned me about boiling large pots of water on the stovetop under the microwave because rising steam is the major cause of the electronics of the microwave keypad ceasing to function.)What a major mistake not taking time to first research reviews, being swayed by great sale prices & a supposedly dependable name in technology. Samsungs technology expertise does not transfer over to their appliances. Also beware that some Kenmore appliances are now Samsung made. Ive just purchased a new GE DW from a small, been around for decades, reputable dealer because GE still has a good reputation. I will from now on stay clear of Samsung, or any brand, such as Kenmore, which may be Samsung in disguise.

Samsung French Door refrigerator (and Samsung dishwasher) - We bought both of these appliances when we built our new house in 2011. The dishwasher lasted 18 months and the integrated pump (they use one pump for both inlet and drain) failed. Spent about $300 on the new pump that failed again after 6 months. Last month the refrigerator just quit -- no refrigeration no freezer. After waiting 4 weeks for Samsungs contract repair service (A&E) and their rescheduling we bought a new GE refrigerator. For $3,500, you would think you would not have to defrost the area of the ice maker. It works like the cheapest brand in the store. Bought a new samsung side by side new at Lowes. It is 11 months old and still under warranty and extended warranty. Started making ticking noise like the fan is hitting against something 3 months ago. Samsungs response is that it is overloaded/over packed and I should unload and defrost. This works for a couple of weeks, then it is the same. I do not load this any more full than my previous Whirlpool side by side or GE before that. Neither previous unit quit working, just moved to larger unit and this time to a stainless. Went with Samsung because it was on sale for same price as Whirlpool but I got a Energy star rebate because of its energy efficiency. If I had read reviews first I would not have bought it. Now I read that Samsung is exiting the American market because we expect them to last too long. A counterpart at work had same issue with identical unit he bought 3 months earlier at Best Buy. He had to threaten Best Buy with legal action before they finally replaced it with more expensive unit (he paid difference). I will never again buy a Samsung product. I will call Lowes tonight and they have always backed their products well for me.

I am so utterly disappointed and frustrated with Samsung. We have a few Samsung items in my home. TV, Washer and Dryer and French Door Refrigerator with freezer on the bottom. We have hard water in my home and wonder if this could be the issue. Almost one year from our delivery of our brand new refrigerator from HOME DEPOT, the ice maker stopped making ice. When we investigated further, we noticed that ice wasnt dropping and there was frost and freeze everywhere. We began the regular ritual of using my hairdryer to defrost the ice maker. I called Samsung. Our unit was out of warranty for 3 days. They would not make accommodations and would not bend, even a bit. Nope. Nothing. I was livid. CUSTOMER SERVICE is not alive and well in SAMSUNG. They flip the consumer off with a hand gesture and send you on your way, after all, they already have my money. NO SAMSUNG IN MY HOUSE, ever again. I will pay more for something else. Im so happy to see the debacle unfolding with their line of tablets, phones, etc... Sorry for the consumer, dont get me wrong. I hate that company.

Purchased a Samsung washer, dryer and refrigerator approx. 1 month ago. On 9-29 fridge and freezer stopped working while at work, thawed out and spoiled food. Fridge and freezer will not cool. Washer is also now listed as defective due to safety hazard. Frequent phone calls to Samsung has resulted in no resolution to this issue. I am constantly being told I have to wait 24-48 hours to hear from different departments. Today, I was told I have to wait another 24-48 hours to hear from someone in Refunds and Exchanges via telephone. I asked to contact them directly but was told they have no phone number because they are a back office department. I expressed my displeasure and asked for my call to be elevated past Executive Customer Relations and was told thats not possible, they are the highest level of customer service.I then asked to speak to a supervisor and was told I would have to be put on an list and someone would contact me back in 24-48 hours. 2 days to speak to a supervisor? I was informed that if an exchange of the refrigerator is decided on, it would be another 15 days for delivery. This is totally unacceptable. Not only the frequent waiting for 24-48 hours to be contacted by Samsung but I was denied the opportunity to speak to a higher level of customer service. On the day I purchased these major appliances I spent $3000 total and now 2 out of the 3 appliances are defective. I am unhappy with the customer service I have received up to this point. They are not receptive to the issues. The time frame that Samsung is putting me on is unacceptable. It shouldnt take 48 hours to make a decision for a customer that has invested thousands of dollars in Samsung. In the meantime, I have a dead $3000 refrigerator in my kitchen with no resolution and nowhere to turn as far as customer service. This was my BBB complaint. After filing a BBB complaint, I was contacted by a rep from the Office of President. She acknowledged my current problem with the refrigerator. She explained that she will now be handling my case and I can contact her directly. She explained she is still waiting to see the result of my issue from the refunds and exchange office and she will contact me the next day. The next day arrived and I had to call them to find out the results. I was told the request to exchange the fridge was kicked back (declined) because there are no service programs in the area. I am now stuck with a refund.I expressed my concern for this due to the fact that I purchased the fridge on sale, and its listed on Samsungs website for $2999. I paid approx $1800 and will be losing the value of the fridge by receiving a refund. After back and forth explanations, she explained how I would be receiving a call from the refunds and exchange office... in another 24-48 hours. Today is October 6th. She said I would be receiving a call either tomorrow or Monday the 10th of October. The refunds and exchange office has already seen my case several times and even took action on it, why do they need another 48 hours to review it? So we head into the weekend once again with definitive solution. When I hear from them on Monday, how many more phone calls will need to be waited for and how long till I actually see the refund? Once again I was told there is no higher level of CS, shes following procedures and protocols and there is no way she can expedite the call from refunds and exchanges. After expressing my overwhelming dissatisfaction with Samsung, its customer service and its policies and procedures I inquired how does Samsung go about getting the defective fridge from me. She informed that I am responsible for disposal of the fridge and will not be reimbursed for any money spent from doing so.Once again, this is totally unacceptable customer service from a company of this magnitude. There is no difference between what a standard CS rep can accomplish and what rep from the Office of the President can accomplish. I still wish to pursue my complaint and speak to someone higher in this company. Customers should not be treated like this. I will no longer be doing business with Samsung and will advise friends and family of my experience as well.

In Dec 2014, we had to call the Samsung repair service company (A & E Factory Service Thornton, CO) to make the ice maker work. The service company told us the Ice maker needed to be replaced. It is costing me $466 to get a new ice maker installed. This has never happened to me before with a refrigerator. I think the quality of the refrigerator is inferior and I will not recommend it at all.

AVOID SAMSUNG FRIDGE... Purchased my fridge 3.5 yrs ago. I did purchase the extended warranty from Home Depot for 3 yrs. The fridge failed four times in each of those three years due to multiple part failures. Lost all food every time. Now at 3.5 years the ice maker and twin cooling fan failed due to known problems of this freezing up. Ice make jambs in the back and freezes. Cooling fan has ice buildup around it and stops pushing air into the fridge to keep food cooled. Have to take apart and melt ice manually every 3-6 weeks. Temp on outside of door still shows its cold inside but it is not. Buy a separate fridge thermometer for inside. I dont know why Samsung has not been sued. Need a class action lawsuit against this manufacturer. Fed up and going to sell this fridge and buy another brand.

My new dishwasher does not dry dishes. They are drippy wet and the two different service companies sent to the house both confirm that this model is known for not drying and there’s nothing that can be done to fix it. Funny, the sales person never mentioned this. Do not expect any customer service from the Appliance Factory/Brand Source. They do not return calls and they do not stand behind the products they sell. There were hidden charges upon delivery, which is not free. I can only hope that other consumers do not make my mistake in going with this small guy store. I will stick to the big box stores from now on since they at least offer responsive customer service. The appliances were not cheaper at Brand Source and they lied about actual delivery charges. If you’re satisfied with only having your dishwasher wash your dishes and do not mind drying them yourself, then this WaterWall Samsung Dishwasher is for you. If you expect a call back from the President’s Hotline of The Appliance Factory, you will be disappointed too. And apparently they are not rated by the BBB. BEWARE!!!

BUYER BEWARE: From the day I received the refrigerator, the bottom load freezer never worked. Within a six week period; I made multiple calls to SAMSUNG; was sent two local techs, who was in contact with the samsung; Samsung cancelled the third tech with no explanation and the freezer is still not working. Dealing with the SAMSUNG SERVICE DEPT. has been one long nightmare. They have an 800 number so you do not get to speak to the same person; they are located all over the USA and Dominican Republic. I was given misinformation, hung up on, transferred to other agents multiple times and had to re-explain the reason for my call over and over again. The agents read off a script about their service policy I cannot get a replacement refrigerator until a part has been replaced twice AND THEIR service tech deems it unrepairable; I cannot receive reimbursement for lost food until the refrigerator has been fixed. The problem with my appliance is that there was a factory defect with the freezer drawer, the techs were telling me, but not communicating this information to the SAMSUNG TECh. I was assigned a case worker after the initial conversation about the problem, I never heard from them again.

We purchased a set of Samsung appliance four years ago. After two years our ice maker was out of order. Beside that several interior components of our fridge are cracked, chipped and glued and zip tied due to how FRAGILE it is. After that the mother board of our range was out of order too. Called for service and $200 later was up and running. But not too long after the largest electric burner stopped working. As of today our dishwasher is COMPLETELY broken. To anyone reading this, please dont assume our family was rough with our appliance leading to this kind of issues. We always took good care of them and not only that but my wife and I both work in the food industry and know how to handle kitchen appliance commercial/residential. Weve warning anyone we know to not commit the same mistake we committed. Hope you would do the same. Good luck with your choice.

After many calls to Samsung, they said they would fix it if it was the SE problem again but we would need to pay the technician if it was anything else. Ive been without a microwave for over 3 months trying to resolve this. Is there a class action suit filed yet?

Please research carefully Samsungs refrigerator before you buy. The french model that we got has ice under the drawer and behind the back panel (a year after we bought the fridge). Samsung said it is not a common problem but research the internet and found many Samsung fridge has the same issues. Basically you need to open the back panel and add some sort of heating wire to make sure the little drain hole behind the back panel doesnt clog. We choose to unplug our fridge every 2 weeks and the hassle to remove all our food to our small fridge and freezer until we have money to replace this nice looking and useless fridge. I was heart-sick when I read all the horrible reviews for the Samsung refrigerators. I have only had model RS265TDRS for 6 months and it quit cooling 2 days ago. Tried the OnLineChat and was sent by the agent to a Samsung link that extolled how you should NEVER put a thermometer in the refrigerator to see what temp it is. I couldnt believe it. Then I put in a work ticket... and heard NOTHING. As I purchased the extended warranty through Conns the appliance store, they do warranty service as well, and when I heard nothing from Samsung.. I called them. They came out within 48 hours and told me the problem was the plastic cover over the coils, and it would take 3 to 5 business days to get the part. I nearly died. I explained this is my only refrigerator and they didnt seem to care. I agreed and after we plugged up the open spaces around the coils with small strips of quilt batting he left. The cooling element does seem to be working... as the vegetable drawers are 42 degrees... but up on the top shelf it is 60 degrees. How do I know??? I left the horrible thermometer they wanted me to immediately take out... in the unit. Now.... the door is telling me that the refrigerator is 34 degrees... but it is not. I FINALLY got the local service company contact information from them... however... the online chat lady said I had to file a work report with them first and then I could call the repair company directly and give them the work order. So! Lets start a lawsuit.... This is insane... to that poor couple who had been using a cooler for over 30 days... I went online and purchased a small GE fridge that I will keep in the garage... or get one sized for a dorm room... to keep your meds in... I am ready to fight them on this one...

I have a Samsung Refrigerator side by side unit that I purchased from Lowes along with a four year extended service warranty. The Refrigerator unit stopped cooling the first week of August 2014. Via the Appliance Repair company sent by Lowes took a week to come and then had to order parts. The parts ordered from Samsung took two weeks to deliver and were the wrong parts. Today, a month later, the second set of parts ordered were also wrong and I was told that Samsung shipped the wrong parts once again. Samsung cant be contacted nor expedite the parts. The service provider indicated that Samsung has a poor parts department and is not responsive to the consumers need to quickly obtain parts to repair its products. The part needed is now on order once again and I am not optimistic that Samsung is capable of delivering the proper part for its product. I was told that Samsung has many victims experiencing this same issue and simply doesnt care about the consumer.

We thought this manufacturer had a trustworthy reputation, thus we bought their brand name. Unfortunately, problems abound with our refrigerator & microwave. The microwave required servicing as did the refrigerator. The freezer is cold but refrigerator is warm. Calls to the service department have been frustrating. We purchased Samsung appliances at HHGregg in Dec 2013 and installed them in Jan 2014. The stove was delivered damaged and had to be reordered. It came a little while later and I installed it. They all worked good until about 2 weeks ago and the oven quit working. My wife called Samsung only to be told the warranty had expired Nov 2013, and the stove was not registered to our phone number or address. That was not possible because we received it in Jan 2014. She took our information and a person from Samsung called back in a few days and said they were going to replace the stove. They just needed a copy of the receipt. The person would not give a full name or phone number. Just the first name. My wife emailed the receipt and we waited for 5-6 days and no one contacted us. My wife called Samsung again and this time she was talking to a woman who was very rude and said they did not get a receipt. She asked to send the info again to a different place and she waited on the line and said she got it and a repair man would be out Friday. When asked about replacing the range, she said something like why should we. When asked for a written copy of what our warranty is and when it is good to, she refused and refused to give an address to write a letter to, and refused to let my wife talk to a manager. We dont trust them now and think it could be possible we didnt get a new stove. What can we do to make this right?

After discovering food in freezer thawed and no ice, had to discard contents. Samsung sent repair man and he replaced parts and left. It was not fixed. Called back for second visit for repair and did not have needed parts. Came back 3rd time and replaced motherboard on January 20th. 3 weeks later, same problem. Discard food, called Samsung and insisted on replacement and was told technician would come out and deem it unrepairable. I agreed but said will not allow another repair. Tech came out with more parts to fix it. I refused repair, just asked him to determine that the same issue had occurred. That was yesterday. Today on multiple calls with Samsung customer support and was told it would have to be fixed again, refused to replace this obviously defective unit. I am looking for a solution, but dont think it will come from Samsung. Contacted Lowes where I purchased it and was told it would have to go through manufacturer (Samsung). what ever happened to backing up your products? Never, ever will I buy ANY SAMSUNG product again. I purchased this beautiful refrigerator RF4287HA. After 13 months, an error code showed up on the display. I called Samsung and they sent out a repair service. When this particular one was made, the assembly line forgot to put the protective plastic cover over one of the sensors which allowed the sensor to drop down and be cut off by the smaller plastic drawer in the freezer. Repairman said we should get our money back for the service repair since this was a defect when this one was made (even though it was about 5 weeks over the 1-year warranty).Basically, somebody did not do their job when our refrigerator was made. After 4 calls to Samsung, they told us to send a statement from the repairman and they would refund our service call fee. After 2 months, a message was left that it was not going to be refunded. When our refrigerator quit after 24 years, I was excited to receive our new Samsung refrigerator. The unit was on sale, but my particular unit had been mislabeled in the store, so the salesman gave me the listed price. Perfect! Well, less than 8 months later, the ice maker just quit - on the day of our Thanksgiving dinner. I read all the literature and watched the videos via the QR Codes. My husband and I both reset the ice maker and waited 24 hours. We changed the water filter, even though no indicator light suggested it needed changing. My first call to Samsung left me beyond frustrated. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told no one was available. This technician (I use this word loosely) had me repeat everything that I had already done. Then she finally told me to turn the ice maker off on the door panel and wait 90 minutes for it to start making ice again. When I asked how it would possibly make ice when its off, she just kept repeating her instructions. What did I do? I turned the ice maker off. I wondered if this was some hard reset that wasnt listed in any material. Then came call number 2. I turned the ice maker on and gave it a little time. Nothing. I told the second Samsung person what the first person had me do. He said, Well, your ice maker wont work if its turned off. You think? He started asking me to do everything again...checking filter, resetting machine. He then asked me the temp settings. I told him -2 for freezer and 36 for the fridge. He said I needed to change the fridge to 37. When I asked him why setting my fridge one degree warmer would help, he had no answer. He then told me to wait 2-3 hours and call them back if it was not working. I said, Look, Ive been doing the same procedures for over 24 hours now. Cant you schedule someone to come fix this? He then informed me that it was procedure.Call number 3. When the third technician started to ask me questions, I cut her off. I explained that I wasnt going to repeat everything again for a third person, especially when my husband and I had already performed the same steps the day before. She apologized and told me that someone would be in my area on Friday, but the service department would call and confirm. I received a call from their service department. It was an automated message, asking me to wait. When nothing happened after several minutes, I hung up. On the second call, I decided to put my phone on speaker and go about my tasks. After 30 minutes, no one had picked up! I then called them back. After a few calls, I finally reached someone. I was told that they did not have me down for service for Friday and that the next available day would be the next Thursday. So, we are now waiting to see if someone will actually show for Thursdays appointment. I cant believe that something is broken in such little time. I usually read reviews before purchasing any big ticket items. I didnt with this purchase. When your fridge goes out, you simply go out and get one, preferably one that can be delivered quickly. I wont make this mistake again, and I definitely will not be purchasing a Samsung! I dont see how this company is going to stay in business with poor quality and poor service.
