I have had an SE error code for 3 years and also lighting and fan would come on at random while we were sitting on the couch and got so bad we had to unplug it before we left the house. I called Samsung and they sent out a repairman who said it was under a recall and replaced the touch pad which didnt fix it and left with a new keypad installed and doing the same EXACT thing! They came out again to replace the touch pad and he said it was not the touch pad on mine causing the SE error and other problems, it was the circuit main board that they unscrew and reuse on the new keypad. The repairman wanted over $200 to order and come back out and replace to fix the SE error code and lighting and fan issue. I declined the repair because I wasnt sinking another $200 in a $400 Microwave and immediately called Samsung and informed them that the keypad was NOT the part going bad from stove top grease on ALL microwaves, that it is also the circuit board. And the Supervisor said that Samsung would not cover that part because only the keypad is covered. Look folks, I worked at a name brand new car dealership as a technician and I will tell you.... ANY part that is causing the problem with the recall is covered so that the check engine light, etc is resolved and the customer goes away happy. Samsung told me when I told them they were about to lose a customer over this that they are sorry to lose me but they wont fix the recall unless its the EXACT part that lets say 10,000 microwaves have over 100 microwaves have being this electronic main board! I am very very upset over this and do not understand why they will install a part in someones microwave that wont fix the recall. Now the microwave stays on when you open the door so I guess a lawsuit is going to be coming from someone over this.

We purchased this dishwasher Model # DW80H9930US/AA on the recommendation of the HHGregg Sales Representative based on reliability. We have had nothing but problems since December 2014 when we purchased it, with 3 service orders to date. The last one is a repeat for the issue that we had less than a month ago. On top of that, Samsung uses servicing dealers that do not have parts in stock. Thus, they are allowed to order the parts based on the repair order making the customer wait the additional time for the repair. Of course, if there is another issue, you need to start all over again with a service request where they try to get you to repair it yourself using their manuals. I will never buy another Samsung appliance again!

More of the same. I brought the refrigerator RS261MDWP on 11-21-2011 at Best Buy. The freezer froze up and did not drain as designed. I took out the fan that cools the refrigerator side. I called for a repair. The repair company is CE in CT, rated F with the Better Business. I am now playing games with CE to come out to repair it. Now the freezers side is not working and the controller on the front of the unit is dead. It is plainly a piece of crap. I am now playing games with both Samsung and CE. Do not buy this refrigerator for even a dollar. You will be sorry. Looks like a lawsuit is the only way to correct the problem.

In Nov the wife and I bought a new fridge from Warners Stellian... The old one was getting a bit worn. So we settled on a Samsung bottom freezer model that has an internal ice maker and filtered water dispenser. We got it delivered, set up, and running no problem. It took about 3 days of running water through the system to get it tasting like decent water to start with. One week to the day after delivery, the water dispenser stopped working. We called Warner Stellian and they scheduled a tech to come out in just over a week. The tech looked at it, couldnt figure out why the part wasnt working the way it should be, and said hed order a new one. A week later we get a call from them and they told us that the part wasnt in and due to Samsung redesigning the part we would be getting a brand new fridge. I scheduled a tech from both Warner Stellian and Samsung to come look at it. The guy from Samsung was supposed to be here before the other guy so I was happy. The morning the tech was supposed to come out from Samsung, he was going to call me before 9 to tell me what time he would be here. At 9:30 I texted them and told them I hadnt gotten a call. SHe texted me back and said she would reach out to him. Three hours later I still hadnt heard anything, so I texted again. She texted me back and said Oh Im sorry. The tech called in sick today and we didnt find out about it till a short time ago. WTF???? Three weeks later we finally get the new one. Before they left after delivering it I made sure it worked the way it should. One week to the day after getting it delivered and set up, the water dispenser stopped working. Turns out the redesign wasnt actually a redesign. The work-around the company put out wasnt done on this particular model. The tech puts in a stopgap to at least allow the water to work until they can get the right part in. A week and a half later, they get the part and schedule the tech to come out. He replaces the part and its working again. The fridge worked great for about 3 weeks until last Sunday. We noticed the freezer wasnt working right, then realized the fridge wasnt cooling either. So the tech comes out yesterday, and says he cant figure out exactly what it is. EIther the compressor or the main board. So they have ordered both parts. The parts will arrive in 3-5 business days and then who knows how long it will take for the tech to come out and actually replace the part. Carissa and my grandson are here this week, they arrived last Thursday. So now what food I was able to save is down in the garage in boxes or our chest freezer. My warranty has a provision that allows us to claim $250 worth of groceries but that is a drop in the bucket. Its daily trips to the store because we dont want to keep anything for too long. The food we would have replaced isnt yet because I dont have a place to put it. Warners Stellian says the company has to ok a return of the item and they said since its a new fridge, they will fix it. Their customer support tells me Im sorry for your inconvenience, I hope it can be fixed very soon, or My apologies for this experience.

We bought a Samsung dishwasher in Sept 2014 and it broke in Jan 2015 only after a use of five months. The customer service took so long to come. Finally they came and replaced a part. The only thing happened was the change of error. It didnt fix the machine. Then after a long effort they came and took the dishwasher and never came back. Its already more than three weeks and people around me are telling me its never coming back. It was a complete waste of money. Its still under warranty.

I bought a microwave, dishwasher, and range in December 2011 and have had many problems with all three appliances. The range elements do not heat evenly. The dishwasher after 9 months of calls to Samsung, they finally refunded my money (pump issues). The microwave (model number SMH9187B) started flashing 5E code 1 month before the warranty was up. It took 6 months for them to replace the micro board and now the same problem. I called and was told they have had no complaints about the micro board being affected by moisture. After reading all the complaints here, I am calling again tomorrow. I will document every call and add it to the 6 pages of notes I have already accumulated. Dealing with Samsung customer service is a joke. I will update!

Purchase this Samsung dishwasher for my new addition at the end of 2017. It has never been a good product. It does not clean well at all and in fact the first time I had a repair person out all they told me to do was to push every single button feature on the dishwasher and make sure that my water was already hot before I used it. It is a total piece of garbage. Now today I had to have another repair person come at the cost of $120. I was informed that the main power unit has gone out and just for the part is $450. Needless to say, I have to purchase a new one and it sure as hell will not be a Samsung. This is the worst dishwasher I have ever seen.

Nightmare... Purchased the dishwasher June of 2014, 2 years later water wall error 7E, which is an expensive fix. It involves two motors and a sensor. Called several service technicians in our area, they all stated that there are several service bulletins and TSIs posted for Samsung service technicians in regard to this issue so it would be best if I called Samsung because Samsung should fix for free because it is a product defect that is warranted. I called Samsung at 1.800. Samsung and spoke with William in customer service. He agreed that this is a defective issue with this Samsung dishwasher and that they would offer me a one-time extended service agreement and would set up an authorized Samsung service company to come out and fix it.The next day I received a call from the Authorized Service Company, Quick Fix and they said that I would have to pay for the service because it was out of warranty, I stated what William had told me. They said, “Well, in addition to this not being written in the notes, we no longer service your area so Samsung will have to provide another authorized service company for your unit.” So I called Samsung back and spoke with supervisor Tyler (employee number- **) and Layla (employee number **). They stated that William had not written it in the notes for the extended service warranty and that Samsung does not even have an authorized service company in our area, so they wouldnt be able to help us. We have asked them to review the recorded service call with William as they stated that they couldnt honor because it was not in the notes.I went back to my warranty. It states that Samsung will cover all parts and labor if it is deemed to be a defect issue. We went back to Best Buy to receive assistance with the issue as we had purchased the DW80H9930US from Best Buy. The sales reps, Chris, tried to call Samsung and get help with the issue as they had a list of authorized Samsung service repair in SWFL. Samsung also told Best Buy that they did not have authorized Samsung repair service in SWFL. Best Buy started giving them the list. They said that Best Buy would need to contact Samsung’s ECR service. Best Buy did state that this is always an issue with Samsung and that they have poor customer support and that there are a lot of issues with Samsung appliances.ECR was closed, so Best Buy passed my complaint to Vanessa, she called ECR the following week. Samsung’s customer service agent told Vanessa that Samsung would be giving me a full refund on my dishwasher as they know that there is a severe issue with the water wall on these dishwashers. Samsung had Vanessa fax my receipt and other documentation to a fax number. They were supposed to send fax her back with a refund letter so that I could purchase a new dishwasher from Best Buy. A couple of days went by with no word, so Vanessa called Samsung back. Samsung stated that they had no record of Vanessa ever calling and that no refund would be issued. Vanessa stated that Best Buy would not be able to help me any further. Why are Samsung and Best Buy still selling these dishwashers if they know that there are severe issues with the product and that neither one of them will stand behind the product, so the customer is left with an overpriced appliance that does not work. Both companies have failed in providing customer service and support. Neither one stands behind the warranty. Hoping that all appliance companies will read this and stop selling Samsung appliances! Customers stop buying from Samsung and Best Buy!

My husband and I bought a Samsung refrigerator in 2009. We bought a service plan for 2 years. The product has been serviced 3 times for the same singular reasons. We just repaired the product this February 2012. Today, we had to service the refrigerator, which will cost us almost $400. Lowes stated we were unable to buy another plan. I feel the product is a lemon. We are seniors. This is above our cost of living.

Where do I start? We purchased this refrigerator (4 Door Model RF23J9011SR)
Where do I start? We purchased this refrigerator (4 Door Model RF23J9011SR) at the end of Dec. 2016. Within 7 months we had problems with the ice maker inside the refrigerator. No ice would dispense, all frozen up inside. Samsung replaced all of the ice maker parts except the cube box. Well it worked long enough to get past its warranty, then it failed again. The second time I could not even pull the ice maker drawer out. As it turns out the parts they replace were the old style original ones that were defective. He replaced all of the parts with the new Samsung updated parts, at a cost of 328 dollars to me. I paid then called Samsung. After almost an hour on the phone they agreed to give me a one time warranty extension. While the second tech was here I told him that the refrigerator seemed warm, and the thermometer I had in it said 48 degrees... Clearly not 34 like stated on the door display. He tried to tell me that my new refrigerator thermometer was not accurate (brand new, only days old) and that I had a tear in the door seal. I would call it a small slice. He said it wasn’t cooling because the tear (less than 3/8 of an inch) was letting warm air in. It needed a new door seal, Ok. I said, Replace it. Then he said he had to order it and come out in a couple days. Came out, put the new seal on the refrigerator, still was at 48-50 degrees. It wasn’t the problem. Called again for service. Tech came out, spent almost two hours here trying to figure out why the top refrigerator wasnt getting cold. Turned out the compressor and all of the Freon lines are bad, they all needed replacing. He informed me it was a 3 hour job and that another tech would be out in 2 days.I still have no upper refrigerator. The whole process has reached week three. I called Samsung and demanded a new refrigerator replacement...they said no (no surprise) and that I had to have the tech do the compressor and Freon line repairs. Because the parts had been ordered, the guy just left 10 mins. ago. Keep in mind that my refrigerator isn’t even two years old... Wow I sure am excited about its future and what I can expect. In closing...DONT EVER BUY ANY SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR!! It’s like an Edsel. It looked good but wasn’t all that great of a car. What you read online is true, they are JUNK!!! Samsung customer service is a joke all yes and good and feel real sorry for you. They have heard it all before and could really care less once the great one warranty has expired. One year warranty on a almost 3,000 dollar counter depth refrigerator. SHAME ON YOU SAMSUNG!

I have a four-year-old refrigerator. I stopped using the icemaker and water after two years. Now the back of the refrigerator freezes up and ice comes out of the back of the refrigerator. Samsung DMT300RFW/XAA Dishwasher - A little over two years old and I am getting ready to cart this piece of junk out to the street for the trash collector! The unit never performed at the levels promised. Dishes were left dirty and spotted if used in the normal mode. Per Samsung techs, we were told to use the high energy sanitize mode (so much for the low energy use sales pitch)! Last night, the dishwasher started making electrical sparking noises and producing an electrical smell. We contacted a half dozen reputable local repair companies and nobody is authorized to work on Samsung. The closest authorized place is a TV repair company 30 miles away! We have a million people in South Orange County and not one authorized repair company? Were never going to buy another Samsung product!

I bought this refrigerator/freezer, Model # RF26XAEPN43FE4BZ100091T, in latter part of March or early April 2010. The refrigerator stopped cooling on Thanksgiving evening. I had to rent a refrigerator to store all of my leftover food. Plus the other items I had in the refrigerator. It was under warranty. The repairman didnt come until the next week. It was frozen in the back. It was repaired and two other times the same thing happened. When the warranty ran out, I gave up on having it fixed. It began to freeze all of vegetables and fruits. Also, anything liquid. I called Samsung Tuesday 5/02/2017. I was told that I would have to have a technician come out and assess the problem. I called again on 5/03/2017. Silly me I thought that they were going to cover the $125.00 for the tech. I proceeded to question the person that I was talking to. He kept putting me on hold, because he could not answer my questions.I finally asked if I could send a letter or speak to someone who could authorize payment for the tech and the repairs. I was told that my appliance was out of warranty. I already knew that. The phone person told me someone higher up will contact me. The odds of that happening are less than one out of a trillion. My icemaker does not work. The door freezes; I stopped messing with it. I just wanted to vent my frustration, so now I have. I will never buy another Samsung product. I have been unable to locate my receipt; I bought the product at Lowes in Newport News, VA.

Have owned my Samsung appliances for 2 years, 6 months. The dishwasher leak
Have owned my Samsung appliances for 2 years, 6 months. The dishwasher leaks from the front just like described by many others. I have found that when loading the dishwasher the last time before running the cycle, I physically push the front gasket all the way around the opening (just run my finger around it) and it lessens or stops the leaking experience. This of course is not acceptable performance but it may help others until they replace their Samsung Dishwasher with another brand as I will do soon rather than spending any more money on this poor performing product. I will say, I LOVE my other Samsung appliances - Refrigerator, Stove/Oven, and/or Microwave - they all work GREAT and would definitely buy again.

Samsung Model RF28HMEDBSR. Worst ice maker I have ever had. The cubes come out like large crushed ice. The ice maker had to be replaced, about 6 months ago, now it is doing the same thing freezing up and has to be manually defrosted to work again (about every 2 weeks). The refrigerator is nosier than most - I can handle that - but I like my ice. I would not recommend this refrigerator to anyone that like their ice.Updated on 03/23/2018: Well I am back to the repair mode--ice maker worked for a while. I have had to defrost it twice this month and today when the tech came out, it was frozen up so bad that he had trouble removing the ice bin. Sigh! -They are going to replace the icemaker AGAIN. Thank God for the extended warranty.

Warning! My dishwasher broke within a year, under warranty. Its been 10 weeks, six technician visits, 25 hours of phone calls and dozens of emails and I still dont have a functional dishwasher. Plus, one of the technicians uninstalled it and didnt reinstall it, so its not even attached to the counter anymore. In addition to all that, the cycle is nearly 4 hours long! Example of lies I have been told by this disgusting company after they replaced the motherboard, water wall and motor: 1. Once a technician comes out twice, we deem it defective and give you a refund. Its been six times so far. 2. Technician needs to come out three times before we can deem it defective. See above. 3. It doesnt work because you arent running the sanitize feature. Okay, still doesnt work. 4. It doesnt work because you are using regular Cascade pods, not Platinum pods. Okay, still doesnt work. 5. It doesnt work because you are using pods, not liquid detergent. Not according to Cascade, but okay, still doesnt work. 6. It works. I dont remember having you over for dinner and you offering to clean up, Samsung, so how would you know that? It leaks, doesnt even get some dishes wet and doesnt dissolve the detergent, liquid or pod. Model DW80J7550UG. Garbage product from garbage company. I have a Samsung model RF28HDEDBSR/AA, serial #06EC43AFB01664x purchased from Best Buy. It has nothing to do with them though. Samsung is the problem... We just finished paying the darn refrigerator off... THANK GOD I have a service contract with a home warranty company since the ice maker is poorly designed! So far we have had 4 repairs, 2 replacements of the ice maker unit, special sealant added all around the unit and STILL, the ice comes out slushy and the unit leaks water constantly. I contacted Samsung and, much like all the other complaints I have read, I was told how sorry they were, but that since my unit is over their warranty, nothing could be done. She was willing to contact a repair person though everything is on me from there. Again, THANK GOD I have the home warranty...The Samsung representative stated they had no recalls nor were aware of any issues... I wonder if they check sites like this! We LOVE the unit since it is 28 cubic feet of great space. The fatal flaw is the ice-maker and I would tell anyone looking to not buy it unless you dont mind constant pulling of the ice machine unit to remove ice build-up or put up with constant calls for repairs...

The ice maker failed at 18 months and has been replaced 3 times and still does not work. The door dispenser drips water all day and runs down the front of the lower 2 doors. Often the refrigerator is only 45 degrees but the door temp says everything is ok at 34! There is no customer service! All they do is deny the defect that is well documented in their service bulletins from 2007.

We purchased a package deal on 4 Samsung appliances in the summer of 2016. It was suggested that to update our kitchen for potentially selling it that new appliances are a must. The units that we purchased from HHGregg are VERY disappointing. The dishwasher DW80J3020US is very quiet, which is nice, but since there is no latch to lock the door, occasionally we open it mid-cycle forgetting it is on. There is no way to continue the cycle; it has to start completely over. We contacted customer service asking about this and they confirmed this. That is poor design. For the microwave model ME16H702SEB, you cant cook something and use the timer at the same time. It may seem like a small thing, but it is very inconvenient. Again, poor design. We are extremely disappointed in the quality of these units and the lack of attention to detail. They are cheaply designed. Stay away from them.

We bought a package deal at Best Buy in December 2016 - a Samsung dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave and slide in double oven. In one years time, 3 of the 4 appliances have broken and need expensive parts. However, the gas slide in range is by far the worst product (NX58K9850). After using the self cleaning feature for the first time, the oven over-heated and door locked. We have to pay $400 to replace the control board to get it to work again. After seeing so many similar complaints, I cant believe there isnt a recall on this oven. We will NEVER buy a Samsung appliance again. Wish I had seen this site Before I made my purchase!

I purchased a Samsung double door refrigerator about 2 yrs back. From day 1 of purchase it is not working well - does not cool, there is water puddle formation in front of the refrigerator (it is supposed to refrost type). Despite getting a Samsung technician and having it repaired twice still the problem is persisting. I even paid Rs 300-400 both times for the repair even though it is under warranty. I even offered to ship it at my own cost back to Samsung and forget about it and would like to buy another refrigerator from another company that is more reliable and responsive. I suggest to all Indians never to buy a Samsung product in their lifetime. Samsung is most cheating company I came across.

Bought this new side by side bottom freezer Samsung refrigerator 2 years ago and it has been nothing but headaches ever since. Ice maker has quit and been replaced three times, water leaks into the bottom of refrigerator. Ice maker freezes up. Have called for service while under warranty and got nowhere, told me the temp was not low enough or door left open which neither ever happened. I got all excuses until my warranty was up. I bought my Samsung Stove oven range from HHGregg and bought 5 years warranty with it. Within 1 month of usage (cooking for 2) started noticing the blackish superficial layer peeling off from the glass top. Called HHgregg and was directed to Samsung. Third party repair personnel after inspecting said it is common occurrence and to use razor as suggested to peel of the layer by scrubbing it in a certain way. Before 12 months end I saw the crack on the cook top and a bulge on the glass top. After complaining to customer service it took 30 days with 3 guys from different company and taking pictures of the stove to tell me that it is wear and tear. I need to pay 250$ for cook top and 250$ for the labor to repair it. I cant afford to repair it or replace it as it is the brand new stove which I paid 1200$. Bad customer service. Was told by the electrical company that the engineers at Samsung will see pictures and determine if it was wear and tear. My old cooking range was from whirlpool survived 10 years. I recently purchased a Samsung gas stove. When I received it the bottom interior panel was defective. There were lines in the finish. I used the oven three times and the finish started to peel off of the stove. I put in a warranty claim and the claim was found to be physical damage and not covered. I paid $3600 for this stove. The defect is not physical damage. Even if it was the finish should not be peeling and flaking off after three uses or not at all! Samsung refuses to send another technician out to document the damage properly. The first technician could not take a decent picture to show the defect or the peeling. I could have taken a better picture myself. I would like Samsung to come back out and properly document and resubmit the claim. Three oven uses and the finish is peeling off! I thought Samsung was a good name. Apparently its not. The smell of the finish burning off the bottom panel cannot be good to be breathing in.

We bought a Samsung over the range microwave and paid nearly $500 for it. It worked well for a couple of years and then all of the sudden started turning on by itself. Not just the light or the turntable, but it was actually heating as well! Thankfully we were home when it started happening so we were able to prevent what Im sure would have been a major fire. Checked Samsung support site and apparently this is a known and rather common problem with their microwaves, with the only apparent fix being unplug the unit immediately and pay for someone (from your own pocket) to come and fix it. Unfortunately companies as large as Samsung have no interest in dealing with issues like this until someone dies, so recommend NOT buying a Samsung microwave unless you have fire insurance and are hardly ever home.

We purchased the 4 door Samsung French Door refrigerator with the Flex Zone drawer 2 years ago. Just before the 2 year mark the ice maker stopped working. We had someone come out to replace the ice maker, but found out it wasnt really the ice maker. There was a hole in the Freon line which caused the ice maker to stop working. Once the ice maker was defrosted all the Freon ran out smelling up our house & making the whole refrigerator useless. Every day for 6 weeks I called the customer service at Samsung. Not ONE person cared about us having no refrigerator. They didnt apologize or express sympathy. It was the most frustrating experience. Finally after 4 weeks they agreed verbally to give us a full refund. They wouldnt put the $ amount in writing & it took another 2 weeks for us to receive the check. We were told by a repairman to not buy Samsung appliances & we took that advice & purchased a Whirlpool. So far so good!

Bought 2 of these Samsung RF263BEAESR refrigerators for my sons. A few months later we realized they were both running practically all the time. On investigation we found that when the right door is closed last, it blows the left door open about 1/4 inch which exposes the interior of the refrigerator to outside air, rendering the insulation ineffective. However, its not enough to set off the door alarm so you wont know it. Samsungs warranty servicer for my area says its normal for this model and Samsung will not warranty this problem. In 2014 we bought a Samsung dishwasher at Lowes. We had always bought Bosch but the deal being offered by Lowes/Samsung was too hard to pass up, I wish we had. I wont bother with the model number because after reading the reviews here it is obvious it doesnt matter, they all have problems. I am pretty good at fixing things myself and our dishwasher is still running, but I have better things to do in my retirement than fix a dishwasher! If you go to Youtube you will find many videos showing you how to fix your Samsung. My advice is DO NOT BUY a Samsung dishwasher! If you own one, make sure you put a cup of vinegar in AFTER the wash cycle starts, (this is particularly important if you are on a well and not public water). If you do it before you start the dishwasher, it will pump the vinegar down the drain upon startup. Also after each wash, clean the door gasket at the bottom of door where it attaches to the dishwasher. Black gunk/mold builds up there, pretty disgusting. Based on reading other reviews, if you are out of warranty and cant do your own repair, take your loss, and put your hard earned money into purchasing another dishwasher.

I purchased a Samsung Microwave Model SMH8187STG from Costco on 19 MAR, 2011. The other day, I went to close the door, heard a snap and it wouldnt close. The plastic latch was loose. I called Samsung (even though warranty was over) to inquire about what to do, and was passed on to their Canadian parts department, where I ordered a new plastic latch piece for $2.99, assuming thats what the problem was. It would be sent to the dealer nearest to our town where I could pick it up at that price, or mailed to me for $12.99 (I chose the pick up). The parts person also helped by directing me to a website as to how to take the door apart to get at the broken latch. I discovered many other sites where people had had problems with Samsung door latches failing, SE problems, etc.Anyway, when I took the door apart and got the latch out, there were a couple of other broken plastic pieces also. I picked up the new piece yesterday, brought it home, and discovered from looking at some other websites that some people had to glue broken plastic bits back on the door in order to get everything to work (they apparently hadnt ordered a new part). My new part didnt include the other plastic pieces, as they had been part of the inside of the door! They were very small, and very thin, and were part of the guides for the latch, and one of them appeared to be the piece that would anchor the spring that would attach to the latch. Crazy glue or epoxy wasnt going to fix that piece well enough to allow a spring to re-anchor for the stress on the latch. My wife and I do not slam the microwave door, and at our age (mid-60s), we realize were now living in a throw-away society, but this is ridiculous! It looks like well need a new door, as the whole internal part of the current door contains these tiny plastic anchors. Samsung knew or ought to have known that these pieces would not stand up to repeated use over more than a few years before the stress on them would cause them to fail. Why would they not have used reasonably strong metal anchors? While Im not a lawyer, one would think that those of us that have had this problem would have a decent case in small claims court or in a class action suit, even though the warranty is over. Does anyone agree? Anyway, after reading the other horror stories and our experience, its the first/last Samsung for us! P.S. So far, we havent had the SE problem, but from the looks of it, we probably will. However, we bought ours at Costco, as mentioned, and they are very good at taking things back from dissatisfied customers.

We are not paying another $240 for this LEMON of a refrigerator~~replacing w/ a competitors brand today. 5. Ice water dispenser doesnt drain well (minor issue).TOTAL REPAIR COSTS in 1st 5 years of ownership: $706 + $125. The 5 year warranty only covers SEALED parts. None of the above qualified. I have had the Samsung SMH8165ST microwave for just over 3 years now. Approximately 1 month ago, microwave started beeping, wouldnt shut off. I got the SE error code. Tried unplugging and recycling which did not work to clear the code. I checked online and found out it is a very common problem with these microwaves due to moisture. An over the stove microwave should be designed to handle being over the stove. I called Samsung regarding the issue. Initially they told me that I would have to pay for the repair and labor. I informed them of the hundreds of complaints online. They finally agreed to change out the control panel, saying they KNEW it was a problem, and that there was an extended warranty, should have said that upfront. They set me up with a service repair company. Of course they tell you they will call you the day of the appointment and let you know when they would be coming, took over a week. I took the day off from work not knowing what time the tech would arrive. Tech arrived to install the panel, they had ordered the wrong panel/part!!! No apology, nothing, like my time is of no value. Waited an additional week to have them return, same story with will call you the day of for the time of the appointment. Tech installed the panel, microwave worked for approximately one day, went to use last night, started, then went totally dead, no power, nothing!! I called Samsung and told them what had happened, they were of no assistance. Said because it is not indicating an SE error, that I will now have to pay for the parts and labor! Unbelievable! I own Samsung TVs and washer and dryer. Pray that they dont have a problem. I will NEVER purchase a Samsung product again. And I will never recommend a Samsung product to anyone!

4 Door Refrigerator: I bought Samsungs line of appliances when I redid my kitchen the summer of 2015. Ive had the ice maker repaired 2x since then and had to pay out of my pocket since the year warranty was up. Now for the second time the compressor went. The compressor has a 5 year warranty. The first time they put Freon because they couldnt find the leak. They came again and said it is not fixable that I should be getting a new refrigerator from Samsung. Went painstaking through the process to the point I was told they are locating my model. Once they do and its on the truck theyll call with the delivery date. Didnt hear anything for a week. Called back I and was told since the refrigerator is out of warranty they are not giving me a new one. I said the compressor is not fixable and has a 5 year warranty. I was told that doesnt matter because the refrigerator warranty is up and the compressor is not fixable. So why do you claim a 5 year warranty on compressor. If you cant fix or replace the compressor its my problem??? BTW the compressor is in a location they cannot reach, so they say. $3000 for a refrigerator that has had issues after 18 months. I asked to speak to a supervisor w/ 3 different calls. Finally got one, Ricky, and he swore hed get back to me in 3 hour. That was a week ago. The customer service is HORRIBLE. Theyve hung up on me 3x and never called back. And each call since 6/29/18 is an hour. You need to go through the whole story. After telling me I was getting a new refrigerator and waiting a week to find out, no, no refrigerator not one person from Samsung called to tell me they changed their minds. I am now going to get a lawyer.

Purchased this Samsung refrigerator two yrs ago. At 3 months old the motherboard went out and fridge was out for two weeks. Ice maker had to be repaired in the first three months as well as the seal and a broken glass shelf. The refrigerator has numerous dings throughout and looks terrible. The current issue is a broken ice maker, lots of water pooling in the refrigerator, and icing throughout the inside vents of the refrigerator. Horrible product. Samsung has not been very helpful throughout these issues. Now to contact them about the recent trouble.

I bought a house with Samsung appliances and and wish I had asked for new ones from a different brand. Pure junk. The stove burners didnt work properly, the oven heat varied all over the oven when baking. The fridge door drawers all cracked and cost too much to bother replacing. The door flap was broke and fridge didnt cool properly. Food spoiled. Now for the junk of a washer that would take half a day to do a load of wash because when it would go to the spin mode, it would unbalance and kick out only to take another twenty mins to finish or do it again and back to twenty mins again. I would recommend to not buy these from this company. They need to stick to cellphones. By the way, the house was seven years old and the dryer was a different make, assuming it died already. Costly replacing all of this because they make crap.

Add my 2-year old Samsung french door model #RF23HCEDBWW to the countless refrigerators whose ice makers freeze up and become inoperable. Customer service at Samsung was useless as my refrigerator is out of warranty AND their customer service rep had no knowledge of any freezer ice-up issues. I referred her to Samsungs own website and its 17 pages of complaints. ONLY recourse scheduling repair service and having to pay out of pocket for a chronic, well documented, flaw in this product. Unacceptable!

Once I bought a Samsung fridge Its handles shiny bright With a French door And pullout drawer,It seemed to me just right. Samsung gave a warranty That lasted one whole year But it was the handles That shone like candlesThat made my fridge so dear. A food – filled year had come and gone Passed right before my eyes. But while I was snacking, And the handles were cracking,I was no more the wise. The warranty just out – of –date Handles and doors misalign. The quintessence? Planned obsolescence.Deterioration by design. And so I called the Samsung folks With nary a reply. The store was gruff Said it’s my toughYou’re warranty’s gone by. Repairs cost three hundred bucks. And yes, I sure am pissed. If you asked this guy What appliance to buySamsung’s not on the list.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator in 2010. I incorrectly thought this would mean quality. We plunked down $3K. Now that it does not work, No repair person will touch it because they cannot obtain replacement parts. You can only use their service center. The original Samsung service center that was recommended is now scheduling appointments for more than a month out. When I complained, they told me they would send me an email to get in touch with a different service center. The young lady that answered was trying her best, but without support from higher ups or Samsung what good is it? This service center has only has one technician Really??? I dont have a refrigerator, dont know if they can fix it or if the parts will be on the service person’s truck, or backordered, or... Still waiting... SAMSUNG WANTS TO SELL BUT DOESNT CARE ABOUT YOU AFTER THEY SELL, then they hold you captive with only their service center and availability of parts.

WE HATE THIS FRIDGE! Samsung should be ashamed! This is the side by side model # rs25h5111sr. Its 2015 & with the tech we have now, there shouldnt be these issues. I have over 5 major complaints about this fridge! 1st the noise! When we open the freezer door & then shut it, it sounds like the haunted mansion over @ Diz! It expands & creaks like the walls in the haunted mansion. It was so comical, I invited neighbors over to witness it! They think its hysterical, we do not! When we also open the freezer door & shut it, theres a knocking sound like someone with a hammer is banging for about 3 or 4 times! The thing pops & cracks but not just little pops or cracks. Its so loud it awakens us in the middle of the night! Sounds like someone breaking into our home. The motor is also noisy... why? Did Samsung forget to put needed insulation in this fridge or did they just make it cheaply? After realizing the drawers were cheap slide in & out, we have decided Samsung made everything CHEAPLY! The ice machine sounds like a fire hose when it fills the ice tray. Weve adjusted the water pressure & still sounds the same! We were going to return it the 1st wk. We called Samsung & were told that the fridge needs to adjust & the plastic is new... yada, yada, yada. We also didnt return it due to it works its just SUPER NOISY & getting it in & out of the house is a total fiasco! Samsungs engineers need to go back to school & learn what fridges In the US are supposed to sound like, which is quiet! The other issues we do not care for are: The drawer placement, along with no wheels on the drawers & the unusual light they decided to put in the back of the fridge. The light isnt a good kind of light. Its eerie which goes along w/ the haunted like noise that comes from it! Dont buy this fridge if you want peace & quiet!

We bought a high-end stainless steel double door with freezer drawer. In less than two years we began to hear a noise coming from the fan. We called Samsung and got transferred to five different people. In this lengthy process, we found out that our refrigerator was made in Canada. We bought the refrigerator from Lowe’s in Honolulu. Shortly after we called for a repair appointment, the fan stopped working and hundreds of dollars worth of food got ruined. Refrigerators are supposed to be made to last, at least, ten years. Samsung is an embarrassment to its country a should be ashamed. I will never buy another Samsung appliance and will be wary of buying their electronic products as well. Shame on Samsung for making an inferior product.

I bought a Samsung refrigerator 9 months ago. It worked for 4 months and stopped cooling. Then six repair calls, five repairmen, and several replacements of parts later, including the compressor, I was told that it was not repairable. Unable to reach Samsung, I contacted the California’s state attorney general’s office and they contacted Samsung within a week (complaints are not new to them). Someone from the office of the president called and was annoyed that I did not contact them first. I noted that they do not want to be contacted; otherwise, the number would be posted online. Instead, there is a bogus number with their corporate address. I was told that I would receive a full refund. They later indicated that full refund was only the price of the refrigerator, not the total purchase price (which included $158.00 in taxes). Ive refused to accept less than the full purchase price. I have no refrigeration for 5 months now and they do not care. Something should be done. Dont buy Samsung - you will regret it at some point.

Bought Samsung side by side refrigerator, dishwasher, and range. Ice maker overfills and drops the cubes frozen into one slab. Causes sugar to jam and busts ice bin. Replaced 3 times while still under warranty. Requested Samsung send a tech to fix problem but was told they could not do that, best they could do was mail an ice bin. Fan started making noise that got louder & louder. Eventually realized ice was building up behind the wall. I was still denied service. Have to manually defrost every few months! Now out of warranty and bin busted again. Not paying $160 for a bin that will just bust. Have a plastic box to catch the ice and dont use the dispenser. Dishwasher is also a piece of junk! Doesnt drain properly and smells awful! Stove is the only thing that hasnt given problems yet!

First the ice maker froze up and then just quit working and I had to pay over $200 to replace it. Then the shelves on the French door began to break into many pieces... just exploded and dumped everything on the floor. I had to replace two of them. Now less than 1 month later one of the replacement shelves has broken into pieces again. Also, the plastic on the vegetable drawer has now decayed into pieces.

Repairman told me the ice maker issue is due to insulation in the wall of the refrigerator sometimes “slumps” or slips down. Design flaw. I learned this when I was buying a heating element to replace in my 3 year old Samsung dryer. It sits right next to my 2 year old Samsung washer with a broken lid. Contacted Samsung corporate USA. I bought Samsung SMH9207ST microwave 17 months ago and like the design. After 1 yr & 1 wk, the buttons push into the panel and I didnt care to call Samsung because its out of warranty. But now the SE error came on, I contact Samsung CS and they said they can set up a technician to call me in 2 days but is not free. I told him that so many people has these problem and it should be free of charges. He said he cant do anything about it. I am very upset with them because I own 4 more appliances from Samsung (cross my fingers that they wont die because its been 16 months old). I cant believe such a big company cant promise a reliable product. The last GE microwave that I had for 4 yrs was still good that I threw away because I change all to Samsung. Microwave is literally 16 days old and it smokes and sparks! So today we started the process of returning this microwave that is a fire hazard. The call process is ridiculous! The first representative who we called said, “Sure return the microwave” and told us to go to the website. Well that wasnt correct as nothing was there so called back second person said we cant return it transferred us to another dept. as the order # isnt there and cant find us. They hung up during the transfer, go figure...call back and they said, “Will give you a person to contact so you can have it looked at, a shop person technician”...Sooo we called the technician office, they said we’re not in the system 18 mins later and they will start a warranty claim. Whatever that means. Here we sit waiting for the technician office to call to set up an appt. We literally just bought this junk and received it on the 16th of August 2018. Weve been in another state for a funeral so we missed the cutoff, go figure. This $200 piece of junk sparks and smokes when you use it. We will now have to drive this junk to a shop to have it looked at because they refuse to return it after 15 days. And I refuse to have this crap plugged into my house to blow up. Then we will hope that the person there doesnt blow up and is component enough to fix it. So bottom line you will need to set a day off to call many departments waiting for someone to call you back but they will refuse to return your product after 15 days even though its defected. Note: there is a place you can call if the item is defected. They will return it for money back at 30 days but only if it was damaged in transit. Dont do what we did. Stay away far away!

Samsung refrigerator model RB217ACRS/XAA is simply a terrible appliance. Firstly, it is so loud! Every time the ice maker comes on, it sounds like an earthquake (I live in California). On several occasions, my guests have actually gasped. If its ice time, you have to turn up the TV. Its so loud, its ridiculous! Secondly, the handle on the freezer routinely snaps off.And then, at 16 months post purchase, the ice maker, the freezer and the control pad on the front of the door stopped working. The repairman told me, with a straight face, that I wasnt closing the door properly. Im 54, I have a masters degree and I raised two children; I know how to close the door. Thankfully I had an extended warranty. It’s the only one I have ever purchased. I should have known when the salesperson was so adamant that I really needed one for this refrigerator. I just thought they were being pushy, now I know. The repair was made, and I was reimbursed for lost food. But now, well, this 18 month old Samsung continues to frost-over on the top shelf (of the freezer) and not be cold enough on the bottom shelf. Yes, I have tried changing the settings; Ive tried everything. I can only use the very bottom shelf of the freezer, because the top shelf is frozen over. However, on the bottom shelf where the cardboard boxes (like the one where frozen entrées are in) are wet and disgusting. As for the ridiculously loud ice maker, I have to dump the ice every other day or it turns into one big rock. I thought I was being so smart and cool when I bought this Samsung refrigerator - it was rated so highly! Well, learn from me; dont do it. It’s the worst appliance I have ever encountered. They make good TVs, but leave it at that!

We bought this condo in October. The first time I tried to use the oven (to cook a turkey) I set the oven temperature to 350. Hours later the turkey was barely cooked. I raised the temperature to about 400 and eventually it cooked. I then bought an oven thermometer and used it the next time I wanted to cook something in the oven. To get to 350 degrees I have to set the temperature to 425. To get to 375 I set it to 450 or so. The indicator light indicates the temperature to which Ive set it but the oven doesnt heat up to where Ive set it. Since the range is out of warranty Samsung wants me to call a service technician. What Ive read about this problem online suggests its either the sensor or thermostat thats at fault. Ive asked for the part number for the sensor and thermostat for my model - and they cant even give me that. I dont want to pay for a service call only to be charged labor and an inflated price for the part since my husband is an electrician and can likely do the repair himself at a much lower cost.By the way, this condo came with a Samsung dishwasher and over-the-range microwave oven. The first time we used the dishwasher it didnt work, so we called the only service tech around who deals with Samsung appliances and $115 later he said the repairs would cost about $360 (he admitted the problem here is quite common with the Samsung dishwashers). For about $400 I bought a new Frigidaire dishwasher and have had no problems since. The Samsung microwave oven works but sometimes the same amount of water heats to hot and sometimes just to very warm when set to the same cooking time.My conclusion: Samsung kitchen appliances are absolutely worthless. Stay away from them!

Bought the Samsung Waterwall Dishwasher in Black Stainless Steel in July. It was not delivered on time, Lowes claimed that Samsung sends it when they feel like it and doesnt adhere to the deadlines they themselves create. My refrigerator wasnt delivered until late August! We had our first dishwasher leak in August, had to replace the kitchen floor! The dishwasher has had many problems with cleaning, Ive been told its due to the distance between the washer and sink. So I basically use it as a sanitizer. Started leaking again, called Samsung, they sent the information to a contractor in town. Contractor ordered parts, 7-10 business days to get the part!!! Are you kidding me??? An emergency plumber could come take care of this today!!!Ive been on the phone with them for hours today, there is nothing they can do to speed up this process. The best they can do is turn my water off so it doesnt ruin my floor again! Thats wonderful with a house full of people and Thanksgiving at my house. I bought brand new so I didnt have to deal with this. I guess Samsung just doesnt mean quality anymore.

We were in immediate need of a new refrigerator when we moved into our new home back in 2015. I regret not reading reviews, but I assumed that Samsung was a reputable company, and weve been pleased with our Samsung televisions (we have 6) so I purchased this $3000 refrigerator based on how it looked. The icemaker was problematic from the beginning. At first it just took a long time for ice to dispense and cubed ice never really came out cubed. Then I started noticing ice build-up underneath the crisper drawers. Then the icemaker stopped working because it froze up.I called Samsung and they asked if I had an extended warranty. Basically, they did not offer any remedies although they acknowledged that this is a known problem. So repair would be at my cost although this is a manufacturer defect. We planned to replace all our appliances with Samsung units, but I will never purchase another Samsung appliance because they obviously do not stand behind their products. Im very disappointed.
