Purchased it 6 months ago in black stainless steel. Very quiet and have noticed a somewhat smaller water bill. Adjustable baskets are great as well as the third cutlery basket/tray at the very top maximize the space. The turbo zone works wonders on difficult sticky dishes.

We bought this 3 1/2 yrs ago. After the first year we had to replace the flap on the door. $350. Last month we had to replace the circuit panel, $350. Now we need to replace the ice maker. $120 plus service call. Very disappointing. This refrigerator cost over $2200, you would think they could make a good product.

We purchased a our Samsung refrigerator in 2014. Had an issue with the ice make about 8 months after purchase. Had to go through a 30 minute call to get a service person out. Notified us the ice maker was known to have issues. About 2 years later we have the same issue with the ice maker. Go through the 30 minute call again. Tech comes out and tells us this is a known problem and Samsung is replacing the units for some due to the issue. I called and of course ours was too old. Same problem and same ice maker but they wont honor any known issues with their product. Had issues with a Samsung dishwasher too. Samsungs appliances are junk and folks should avoid purchasing.

My story is similar to Eli from Vancouver. Bought this d/w in 2014. Was good for 4 months--lights started blinking. Called Samsung, they said needed a new computer board which they did replace. That was good for another 4 months. Then the d/w wasnt drying and draining properly. I have read that book so many times I could take a test and get a 100%. It would be faster to wash the dishes by hand. Then there is the smell. I have to run baking soda and vinegar in it every two weeks to keep it under control. Now I have more flashing lights--I am done. I am taking my loss and buying a Bosch. This was the worst experience ever. Life is complicated in the 21st century. We depend on these luxuries to make things a little easier. I do not need this stupid stress. I bought the stove and refrigerator too. Stove so far okay. Refrigerator not great either but I wont go on about that right now. The dishwasher is a big BUST!!! Avoid the stress. I wish I had the time because judging from the amount of entries on this site, the dishwashers are a real mess and a class action suit would make sense. Besides, by time it would be settled, I would be dead.

It only takes one bad experience. With that said I will never ever buy another Samsung product again after this last experience. For the last two weeks Ive been dealing with Samsung and the most awful, horrible, unprofessional customer service in 2015. They refuse to just take care of a customer as a priority. My $3600 refrigerator that is less than two years old and all I get is Maam we will get back to you. Maam you will have to wait 24 to 48 hours. Maam you will have to wait 24 to 72 hours. Maam its being processed now. No maam you cannot speak to supervisor. I heard what you said maam. I will not let you speak to supervisor!! Oh and Maam you will just have to wait for your refund. We dont know when that will be. Most disgusted by the Samsung Company.

I paid well over $2000 for a Samsung French Door refrigerator just about 4 years ago, and it has given me nothing but problems. I had issue with the door, seals around the freezer, the ice maker, finally the motor that cools the refrigerator. I am making a promise to myself that I will never ever buy another piece of appliance from Samsung, and will convince any of my family and friends to not buy that brand either. I hope they go out of business soon. They should not be allowed to sell their kinks to consumers and scamming thousands of dollars from families.

We purchased an expensive Samsung refrigerator (model # RFG297AAWP). If any water from the water dispenser does not make it into the cup, it leaks behind the clear protective plastic coating on the refrigerator door. (Obviously it was not sealed properly... a manufacturers defect.) The water leaves unsightly stains on the refrigerator door that cannot be cleaned (because it is behind the plastic coating). It is embarrassing to have company over because the refrigerator looks filthy. Its frustrating that it is not cleanable. Samsung accepts no responsibility for this because they claim it is cosmetic in nature. Yes, my refrigerator still keeps the food cold... but it looks horrendous!Furthermore, Samsung has since changed the door. I was willing to pay $300 for a new door even though the issue was Samsungs fault. However, the replacement door does not match the other door. Samsung changed the look of the doors. (The new door is more squared off and less rounded, plus the handle is higher than the handle on the second door.) My only option is to replace BOTH doors at $600. Samsung claims no responsibility and will do nothing other than let me know its my problem to deal with. Never buy a Samsung refrigerator. Their customer service is poor and they accept responsibility for nothing! Im done with Samsung!

The problem with water in the drawers and on floor of refrigerator section
The problem with water in the drawers and on floor of refrigerator section is quite common. The drain tube gets iced up. You need to replace the evaporator cover in the refrigerator section. You also need to add a drain probe to carry heat from the defrost heater into the drain tube. Before you can remove the cover, you must defrost ref for 24 hours with doors open, unplugged. To remove rear cover in ref section remove 2 screws along bottom edge and then remove plug in center near top and remove screw under it. Start prying from each side from the bottom. Release 2 plugs at top left. Make sure drain hole in tray under evaporator is clear of ice by pouring hot water down it. Install new probe and install new cover. I think that if you go to searsparts.com and enter your model number you should be able find the correct parts.

Ok, this is a very honest review of an expensive Samsung Refrigerator, the purpose of this review is to ensure that people do not face the same harassment and cheat at the hands of Samsung and fault prodicts that we did. If you dont want to read the review, just know that never buy Samsung Refrigerators which are high end Models as they dont have the support team or the resources to sort out any problem, remember its more a warning to the discerning buyers rather than a review. So to cut the story short, we bought a Samsung french door refrigerator with Ice Maker in September 2017. Towards the end of 2018 the Ice maker stopped working and sadly after 7 complaints and paying almost close to INR 12000.00, we are still sitting with the same problem and no one now responds as they dont know what is the problem. We have knocked on all doors but to no avail and still no one bothers to understand the problem. Sir, we have escalated the problem to the highest level, is the standard response is basically inaction post that.Guys, the quality for a high end refrigerator is really bad, there are a number of recurring problems which are magnified by the fact Samsung has no support or product training for its field service personnel for high end models so please refrain. Hope this saves people from the agony we are facing after spending a fortune on a refrigerator!

Unfortunately for me, I didnt read reviews prior to making my purchase. We bought a 4-piece appliance group at a Black Friday event at a local retailer. I hadnt had an ice maker working in my previous fridge for 5-6 years on a 21 year old product. So, needless to say, I was tickled to finally have new appliances with a working ice maker! We had the appliances delivered and hooked up around the first of the year. Within a month and a half the ice maker quit working. We put in a service call and waited. Within about week and a half the technician arrived and swapped out the entire ice maker components. Working again! Apparently, the water line didnt line up right within the unit and the overspray of water iced up the unit eventually.About a month later, same thing happened. Put in a service call, complained about our unit being a lemon and needing to be replace. Sorry sir, we have to have at least 2 service calls before we consider replacing a unit. After waiting for almost a month, technician arrives, replaces all the ice unit components again. Working again! And, the technician said Ill be coming back as he was leaving. Hummm.About 3 months later, the unit completely stopped making ice. Once again, Ive called the customer service, complaining about my unit being a lemon needing to be replaced. Here I am two weeks after that call. No ice, no calls within 24-48 hours which is how everything happens at Samsung apparently. My case was given to a validation group, and Id be getting a call from an Executive in 24-48 hours.8 days later, I get a call this morning from an Executive. She wasnt there to soothe my concerns but rather to inform me that my issue had been sent to a review board. And, they would be contacting me in 48-72 hours... Oh crap! Also during this conversation I was informed that my 1-year warranty was NOT a product warranty but rather a SERVICE warranty, and that they will likely be sending a technician out again for another service and there was NO guarantee they would be considering the replacement of my product. Despite raising my blood pressure and me speaking my disapproval, she ups her attitude, and goes rude on me and we get nowhere. Im waiting the determination of the review board.I call up my retailer, and basically get the its not our problem routine. I ask, so, what happens when my warranty runs out? Oh, sir, you can purchase an extended warranty... And there my friends is the scam. Samsungs product is crap. Samsungs customer service is horrendous, unless you like banging your head on the wall and getting nowhere... In 24-48 hours.I should not have to Google up how to unfreeze a Samsung ice maker on a brand new unit! Be careful to read your warranty, its not a replacement warranty, its a service warranty... Service their way to the 1-year expiration, and wash their hand of you. Unless of course, you spend more money and buy an extended warranty. Do yourself a huge favor. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG APPLIANCE, product is crap and customer service is horrendous at best.

Four years ago we built a new home and bought all Samsung appliances. Our side-by-side refrigerator model #RS265TDBP has had repeated problems with ice building up on the coils behind the panel in back of the fridge. You can tell its happening because the evaporator fan motor makes rhythmic scraping sounds as it tries to spin to circulate the air. It does this for several days before it quits working and then the fridge stops cooling. You have to remove all the food, unplug the fridge, remove all the shelves, remove the back panel, disconnect the lights, and change out the evaporator fan motor (over $50 for the part plus significant amount of labor). Then you have to wait for many hours for all of the ice to melt, or try to use a hair dryer to melt it more quickly without damaging anything else. It has failed three times in the last 2.5 years and Im absolutely sick of it. Its a defective design and Samsung clearly has no interest in fixing it.

I would like to prevent others from going through the same disappointment (anger) of trying to obtain service on a Samsung refrigerator. When I bought the refrigerator 6 years ago at Lowes, I was told I would have service. After one week of many phone calls to Lowes and Samsung (a loss of all food in the freezer), I have a message on my phone today that they do not have a repair person in my area and I am to find my own person to repair my unit! Not to mention that a 6-year old refrigerator with minimal use is broken. I will never buy another Samsung product.

We purchased a 3 door refrigerator from Sears in January 2013. We purchased the 5 year extended warranty. The Sears repairman has been here 4 or 5 times. He replaced the icemaker once. Came back to fix the icemaker, which kept freezing up and leaking onto the dispenser tray. This leak caused our STAINLESS STEEL door to rust. It is still leaking and rusting more. We have talked to Samsung customer reps who told us it was cosmetic and not covered under our warranty. The repairman even told them it was not our fault. But, this did not help our plight. Will not buy anything Samsung ever again. We asked to have them replace our rusty door. Of course this did not happen.

Just reviewing to save people heartache and time. Do not buy Samsung refrigerators. Amazing that they get away with manufacturing junk, basically. And they charge a lot for it. We’ve had our Samsung model RF28HMEDBSR/AA for 4 years. The ice makers freezes up constantly. The fans freeze. I’m forever using a hairdryer to fix the problem. Insane. The fans get full of ice and make a loud disruptive noise. Get the hairdryer again! Will probably cut out losses and buy a new refrigerator. This Samsung isn’t worth the headaches. Do not buy Samsung. My sister bought a similar model and has similar problems.

Again. Bought a Samsung French door refrigerator #RF263BEAESR/AA and within the first year we had to have several service calls for the ice maker freezing up and dripping down the fridge into the crisper drawer and ruining all the food also causing bad smells. The serviceman even showed us the design flaws and how to melt the ice but it was always a temporary fix as it continues to happen. We do not even try to use the ice maker at this point. We always keep a bag of ice in the bottom freezer. We are currently living out of two coolers for our daily essential foods as now the fridge is not getting cold enough and the freezer is not working. This was not a cheap purchase. I cannot believe all the problems and now having to not have use of the fridge at all. We have filed with the class action suit but right now hoping to find out that there was a recall.

Last night we heated a piece of pizza in our SMH9187 Over the Stove Microwave (about 25 seconds). The microwave got extremely hot and wires started smoldering. The control panel went completely dead and the internal sides were very hot (as well as the glass rotating plate in the microwave). We had to unplug the unit. Fortunately, there was no fire, but the microwave is dead. The unit is three years old. I cant believe that this happened to a relatively new microwave. Samsung should place a recall on all these models and reimburse people for their purchases. What an inferior product!

I purchased a new Samsung side by side refrigerator freezer with ice maker in 2016. I have had a service technician come out to fix it 3 times. The first time the freezer wouldnt work. Come to find out it was frozen up. A temp control issue. After that got fixed a few months later the ice maker stopped working, now last but most definitely not least I found out today that the compressor is bad and I paid extra money for it good product and boy was I mistaken. I purchased the Samsung French Door RF26V Series Refrigerator at Lowes. Approximately 15 months afterwards the refrigerator was not cooling properly and I noticed back wall inside was frozen. I was forced to purchase a used refrigerator and put in my garage because it was unsafe to store food at 45 deg. Repairman told me to unplug it for 3 days and let it defrost or thaw out and try to restart, and if that doesnt work he will come look at it. Also the ice maker just keeps pushing ice out the top of the bin causing it to break the bin - $99 for replacement. I paid $2500.00 for this appliance and I am very disappointed with the Samsung product. I will never purchase another Samsung appliance nor will I recommend the product to friends or family. This is day 2 of defrost, I feel like Im in the olden days of having to defrost the refrigerator. I am a widow raising a teenager and cannot afford to buy a new one. Thank you.

Samsung refrigerator model #RS275ACWP purchased in December 2008: By 2012 it developed a leak at the freezers backplane. The leak caused the bottom drawer to seize up. Samsung recommended solution was to replace the backplane at a cost of hundreds of dollars. A handyman resealed the original backplane at a considerably lower cost. By 2013 the ice maker failed by producing too much ice. The ice box became locked up and water spilled into the interior, causing still more ice on the freezer shelves. The water even dribbles out of the ice shoot. The Samsung authorized technician stated that three parts need to be replaced at a cost of $450.

My Samsung refrigerator is a a few years old and has had the same problems. I had problems with the leak/icing up under the drink pull out tray also. Now, the power went off in our neighborhood and when it came back on, the control panel only shows 86 88 and it doesnt respond to touch. The door has started to rust below the ice dispenser due to moisture from the small catch tray. This is not my first Samsung appliance either. I threw away a washer & dryer set I bought that had multiple problems after one year. I too will not purchase any appliances from Samsung. The TVs seem to be working fine. I have two Samsung flat panels. I replaced all of my appliances with Maytag and eliminated all my problems.

I purchased this range/oven about 4 months ago. I’ve had several smooth top ranges before and I could always get marks and food off with ceramic stovetop cleaner….But not with this one! I purchased new cookware to start with a clean slate and I’m so careful with the stovetop. I’m really frustrated with trying to keep it “new” like all my previous ones. There are marks all over it and dull places where I cleaned with a scratch proof pad and ceramic stove top cleaner. The mirrored black shows every smear and smudge. I literally have to buff it with a clean towel every time. That being said, one reason I purchased this stove is for the low temp presets on the oven. I make bread and it’s hard to find an oven that will go below 170°. I’ve enjoyed this feature very much. The air fry feature, not so much. It has to be set above 450° to get good results and it takes way too long vs a countertop air fryer. Overall, the range/oven operates fine. I just wish the smooth top was a little better quality and more resistant to marks, residue and smears. None of my previous smooth tops had this issue.

The stove is great and the heating element works well. The range dials and oven buttons have a nice click when depressed, which I prefer compared to my old stove that didnt have much feedback when using. The oven also has a convection feature that I greatly appreciate as well. My only complaint on my stove is that for some reason the oven light blows quickly regardless of how often you use it. I would never purchase or recommend a Samsung appliance again after our experience with our Samsung refrigerator that we purchased in Fall 2013. After owning the refrigerator for ~9 months, I began to notice water accumulating under the deli drawer. I thought it might just be normal and cleaned it up every month or so. Around 15 months after purchase, I noticed the water accumulating more often and to a greater degree. Water would spill out of the fridge when we opened the doors (sometimes sheets of ice). I called Samsung and the refrigerator was not under warranty any longer.Over a period of the next 9 months, Samsung sent out 3 different repair companies. None of the companies could fix the problem. Water and ice continued to accumulate, spilling all over the floor whenever the fridge was opened. Large amounts of mildew grew due to the moisture. The fridge had to be shop-vacuumed monthly to clean out all of the water. After Samsung telling us that there was nothing else that they could do, we finally purchased a new refrigerator from a different manufacturer. We moved the fridge to our garage and it is now going to have to be hauled away due to the continual growth of mildew due to the water accumulation problem. We are so frustrated that we spent $2000+ on this refrigerator and it cannot even be used in our garage!

My French door refrigerator, purchased four years ago, needed new rear panel and defrost sensor/water build up under deli drawer. This is a common problem we find out. This cost us $185.50 in repair. Front loading washer, purchased three years ago, needed new bellow with repair cost of $137.21. Im very disappointed in Samsung products. I would like someone from Samsung to contact me if there is something they can do to help absorb some of these costs. Do you stand behind your product? I will be building a new home in the near future and will not be considering Samsung appliances.

My husband and I purchased a side by side refrigerator from this company less than 4 years ago. The Motherboard has went on this refrigerator twice, we had it replace less than 7 months ago and now it has to be replaced again. This refrigerator is the biggest piece of junk ever. If you buy a product from this company dont expect them to stand behind their products whatsoever. They offer no help or solutions. I will never, ever buy a Samsung product again in my lifetime. If any of you out there are thinking about it please do not purchase their products. Shame on them for making this kind of a product and not standing behind it. It will now be my mission in life to make sure everyone knows about this company. I am not just starting here, I will be going much further with all of this. This company does not care at all about its customers and I think everyone should know this before purchasing anything from them again.

The fan began making loud noises and I called a repair man assuming that it was an interior problem and would be covered by the 5 year warranty. The Samsung refrigerator model RF263BEASR is slightly over two years old. It turns out that the fan must be replaced plus the fan cover. The Samsung person said that it wasnt under warranty so I am stuck with a $390 bill. I have had Sub Zeros that have lasted years without a problem. This is a huge disappointment and I would definitely not buy another Samsung appliance.

Price was over $300.00 and this appears to be a very common issue at around the 18th month of usage mark per the complaints online I have read. Of course, I called the company and they state, Too bad, it is out of warranty (12 months). The company needs to look at the business they are losing over what could be a small fix. I will no longer purchase any Samsung products. I was a dedicated Samsung customer because the quality was there in the past. In this economy, you would think that a company would value the customers they have and when they see a defect like this, they should address it, not just brush it off. Samsung needs to look at Tylenol for an example of going above and beyond for its customers. So with that said, I have a $350 microwave that lasted less than 2.5 years so maybe I will just purchase a cheap microwave every year. At least, I will get a new one each year and may be more cost effective,

Full disclosure, this is all on me. Now that Ive seen how poor their service is, Im looking at all these reviews, and thinking I should have done this prior to purchasing. But I digress, I bought $10k worth of their top of the line appliances in the new black stainless finish. Almost immediately, the ice maker is dripping water and quits making ice. Samsung sends a tech and first thing he says is that these units are garbage and that the $300 part that is broken after only a month will break every year, as long as I own it. Not exactly what I wanted to hear!So after months of back and forth with the worst customer service dept I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with, Samsung says they will replace the fridge. They send it via freight with delivery guys who have no idea how to install. So they tear the ** out of the old one, beat up my house, and ultimately cant get the new one in. So they leave me with the old one that is now beat up scratched all to hell, and not working. Samsung says no problem, well send another! What!?! What about the brand new one you already sent on the truck? And the brand new one you just trashed?? They couldnt care less.So I finally get Home Depot to replace the fridge, and then, while wiping the appliances down with a microfiber towel, a chunk of the finish comes off the range. So I call Samsung back and they tell me, No prob, well send a tech to fix. They set an appointment for the next week and I wait. Appointment time comes and goes and no tech. I call back, they say, We cancelled because youre out of warranty. Wait, these are only a few months old! Oh, yeah, I guess youre right... Ok, well send a tech. Cancelled.I get a supervisor on the line, and she says, It keeps getting cancelled because its cosmetic, and thats not covered under your warranty. So the paint can just fall off and thats not covered!?! So I get really pissed and she says, OK, well send a tech, but if there is any sign that you caused the paint to chip, then youre paying for it. Fine, agreed. Get an email the next day, Your service appointment has been cancelled. I am literally speechless...these appliances look great, but they are total garbage. But the company is worse. Save yourself a LOT of aggravation...avoid Samsung.

He shows up & states I need a new ice maker and had to order it. No ** Sherlock! Fixed it on second service call. Now 12 months and Dishwasher makes a loud bang then stops, making only a loud electrical hum. You know that hum, the on that says the pump/motor just crapped its pants. I wish I could be here to write a good review about SAMSUNG, but this is not the case. I am totally disappointed with the Customer Service Department and also with the product!!!! My parents are 87 & 86 years of age, their refrigerator broke on July 31, 2021 and had not been a year that they had delivered the refrigerator. They came out, they shipped the wrong part. They ordered the new part, got lost. Finally they said they would replace the refrigerator. That they would be contacting us from 3 to 5 business days. That was on August 16th 2021. So today August 23, 2021 I called today! It being the 7th day and no call. After spending the whole morning and afternoon on hold with 5 different people to tell me that THEY made a mistake on the ticket would not tell me what?? and it will take 7 to 14 days more??? How unprofessional on both companies. We will never buy a Samsung product again. I will never ever recommend a Samsung to anybody!! The worst experience I have ever had with a company. I want to speak to someone in charge someone that can help my elderly parents. But no one calls back ever or they can not transfer you... All around a horrible experience. Super stressful.

When we built our new house we decided to buy Samsung products at Sears. The first Samsung Fridge that we bought quit on the first day. This should have spoken volumes to us but we were too excited. The fridge was promptly replaced. We have had nothing but trouble with the fridge. Every 3 weeks we have to remove a significant amount of water from underneath the deli tray. Our ice maker will occasionally work and we cannot up or lower temperatures as the temp controls no longer work. Our strong recommendation if you are in the market for new appliances, especially a fridge, DONT buy Samsung. Youre simply buying JUNK that will be nothing but a headache for you!

We bought the 345 Ltr RT 35 refrigerator in May 2010 in Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India. It was working well till May 2015. After which the lower door was not getting closed properly and defrost was not functional. After noting the problem, it was reported to the concerned authority and customer care number provided by Samsung in month of June. We were told to change the position, restart the refrigerator, which did not help. After persistent problem, it was again reported to customer care on 19th Sept. Again the executive told us to lift the lower door, but nobody visited our place. After repeated complaints, one of the technical person came to our place, changed the IC and told us that Your defrosting problem is solved, but door problem cannot be solved as the refrigerator purchase date is more than 5 years old. After pursuing the problem with customer care, we were told that the parts are not available and nothing can be done as company has stopped the production of said model. We have made several calls to customer care but the only answer we could get was, Sorry, we dont have the parts. Had it been before 5 years of date of purchase, we would have got the parts and not now after 5 years and 1 month; and now another version has come up from local dealer saying, It was the last piece of the lot. It was not told to us during purchase and now we are facing problems with the refrigerator, which are still unsolved and may not get solved considering the answers we are getting from customer care. Pathetic way of solving problems for a common man, who may have to put large part of his fortune into buying another refrigerator, which wont be Samsung anymore.

January 3, 2015 I purchased a scratch and dent Samsung french door refrigerator with ice maker in the freezer unit. It came with a 1yr. warranty from Samsung and I purchased a 5yr. warranty from Lowes. It was delivered and installed by Lowes on January 6, 2015. It started to produce ice and it produced half a gallon bag of ice and then quit. We went through the manual which gave us no direction. I turned off the ice maker so that it would not burn up. I called Samsung January 9, 2015. They walked me through the troubleshooting and told me that because the ice maker was turned off, I had to wait 48 hrs. for service. They called me back on January 12, 2015 and again a different associate walked me through the same trouble shooting process but added a twist, which was the rollers where touching the floor and therefore Lowes had to come back out and give the refrigerator a 2 inch tilt. That seems ridiculous however we jumped through the hoops. I went on live chat with Samsung January 15,2015 and again that associate was going through the same trouble shooting process. Really, does anyone do service anymore? I let him know that it is unacceptable to have a refrigerator only one week old. With full warranty and not be able to get it serviced. Very unhappy with Samsung and will never buy another appliance from them.

I bought a Samsung Refrigerator in 2007. Nothing but problems. 4 Ice maker installed at almost $400.00 a piece. I call Best Buy. They were no help. No one in the town that I live will do repair work. They said they would not repair. Was not worth fixing. I found one repair place in the next state. They charge me $95.00 just to come to my house. I called Samsung after this problem persisted. I thought they would show a little sympathy, not a chance. That equals to an ice maker every 2 years I have owned this piece of junk. I have bought 2 Samsung tablets, a phone, a refrigerator and a range. You would think that consumer loyalty would matter but it doesnt. This fridge cost me $2415.00 plus $1600.00 for ice makers that is a total of $4015.00. This is a bad joke. The kicker is Samsung also makes the ice makers. They get your money every way you turn. I bought a Whirlpool fridge 28 years ago. It is still working and so is the ice maker. I should have known better, stick with what works. My Samsung dishwasher worked perfectly until one day it simply stopped working -- no lights, nothing. I called Samsung and was told if it was the control board it would be a warranty repair, but if it was the front panel it would not be. The authorized service repair company came and --without running any diagnostics -- replaced the front panel, and charged me about $300. The unit worked for a week, and then the same problem reappeared. They came back to do the work. Samsung said would be a warranty repair -- replace the control board -- but then after the work was completed, charged me $140 for the board anyway! After many contacts with Samsung, which agreed repeatedly that the control board was a warranty repair, I was never able to get the money refunded and Samsung failed to follow through with numerous promised phone calls. I would never buy another Samsung product after this experience (which is particularly a shame since Ive been a loyal Samsung customer for years -- phones, TVs, memory cards, etc.).

Electric fire with Samsung range-top microwave, model SMH1713S - Purchased from Lowes Cerritos Town Center, Long Beach, CA, approximate price $300+/-. Normal use for less than one year, now producing smoke indicative of an electric short/fire in the mechanism. Also, failure of the main microwave generator as evidenced by lack of heating of material placed in the oven chamber. We love the microwave when its working properly. Its only 4 years old and has failed three times. Each repair was easy and cheap once diagnosed. 1) Heard beeps during the night. Eventually beeped more often and left the dreaded SE error code. Called Samsung support and they suggested unplugging the unit and plug back in after a few minutes. Effectively they were telling me to reboot it. That didnt work. Found YouTube video with the fix for this problem. The ribbon cable connecting to the touchpad goes over a sharp metal edge frame of the control panel and vibration from fan operation eventually rubs through the cable causing a short. The fix was simple and only took about 20 minutes. I put a piece of electrical tape on the sharp metal edge and voila, no more beeping and no more SE error code. Samsung should have put a piece of slit PVC tubing on the sharp edge and this would never happen. Design problem! Cost to fix = price of two inch strip of electrical tape. 2) Door would not stay closed when shut. Found another YouTube about this. Tiny plastic tang which one end of door latch tension spring attaches to broke off. Replaced it with a tiny #4 sheet metal screw. Took 15 minutes. Cost to fix one small screw already on hand.3) Microwave would not turn on. Online search implied could be faulty door microswitch. Testing with cheap VOM showed which of three microswitches was faulty but suspected the one that no longer clicked and rebounded when activated by finger pressure. Found exact factory replacement online for $5 with free shipping. Took less than a week to arrive. 20 minutes to diagnose and replace. Doubt that many homeowners would have attempted doing all these repairs on their own. Three service calls even with almost no parts cost would more than pay for a new microwave, most likely not Samsung LOL.

My $500 microwave is broken. It makes a horrific noise when I try to microwave. Its not heating up and is emitting a scary electrical smell. I had an old microwave when I was in college. Paid $20 for it from someones garage sale. It lasted more than 10 years. I did a kitchen remodel and bought this fancy looking Samsung and had it mounted over my stove. Its total junk. How can a $20 microwave last 10 plus years and a $500 microwave make it only 2 years? My advice - NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM SAMSUNG. Period...

We have bought Samsung electronics for many years. In 2011 we bought all new kitchen appliances, top of the line Samsung. It is now 5 years later 2016 and we have a dishwasher that needs a new motor, the most expensive part approx $600.00. Now our fridge has leaked from the water dispenser and flooded our kitchen twice. It just starts pouring by itself. Of course this happened while we were not home and then again during the night. We thought the first time may have been a fluke but it was not. The electronics on the door stopped working. The replacement part at $400.00 did not work. We also have a leak inside from one of the vents in the back that leaks down the back and pools under the crispers. The tech at this point is not sure what is wrong with it. He now suspects the motherboard. The leak inside will require the whole inside back of the fridge being replaced. These repairs are going to make it not worth fixing. Of course Samsung says Im sorry there is only a 1 year warranty. They will do NOTHING. The appliances are barely 5 years old. How can they possibly not stand behind their products with problems such as this? We all know appliances last many many years with no problems. The tech we are using used to be a Samsung tech and reported how hard they make it to be a tech. The techs even complain about Samsung. I gave 1 star because you have to put something there but I feel less than zero. We will never buy Samsung appliances again. We also will question any further Samsung electronics. We spend so much money on Samsung from cell phones, tablets, tvs, etc. you would think they would do something to help us out. This is the thanks we get for being loyal customers for many years. We now have to buy a new fridge that will be around $2k if we are lucky. The dishwasher will have to be replaced. We have not had trouble out of the range or microwave yet, we hope we dont! What a way to have to spend your hard earned money. Again, we will never buy Samsung appliances again. Be careful because we have a Kenmore washing machine that is made by Samsung. Kenmore is not Kenmore any more. All you have to do is ask Sears, they will tell you. The appliance brands today are not what they say, you have to ask what company made the appliance. I have a beach property that I have recently bought a dishwasher, range, hot water heater and AC. The company I purchased the different items from say that there are a few manufacturers and then a name goes on the same thing with a few differences. Buyer beware!

Bought this fridge brand new 13 months ago from Lowes. We are not very happy with this design as the french doors close somewhat difficult and often get stuck. That is minor compared to parts breaking so quickly. One of the shelves in the door (door bin) fell out of the fridge last week and the contents shattered on our kitchen floor. Minor damage to our floor also occurred. When I called Samsung, they stated the fridge was long out of warranty. I checked the tags and sure enough the fridge was 3 years old. I have a Samsung side by side, four drawer refrigerator bought in July 2013 and have had trouble with the ice maker since then. The ice maker freezes up every couple weeks. I use a hair dryer to melt the ice from the mechanism. I have problems with the ice getting clogged up and will not dispense. Another problem is that it does not matter which setting the dispenser is on, crushed or cubed I only get crushed ice. I do love the refrigerator with the fourth drawer temperature adjustment. I keep drinks in the drawer and the grandkids do not have to open the doors. Otherwise the refrigerator is just a refrigerator.

I have the bottom freezer, split door fridge model. I bought it solely because the GE Profile I had for over 10 years finally needed replacement (due to some cosmetic damage - no issues involving its functioning) and the Samsung was literally the only model that would fit into the custom space in my kitchen. Within the first months I noticed a lot of water pooling in the bottom below the crisper drawers and then in the crispers themselves. I stopped using them all together and then about a month after the 1 year mark (when the warranty ran out), the left door stopped closing appropriately. In fact, the only way to close it is to manually manipulate the fold and then close the opposite door. I finally got a service appointment, took a day off from work to wait and was told that the part has to be ordered and it will cost me $320!!! What an absolute piece of garbage.

Samsung 217ABP refrigerator purchased for a property which was not occupied for a year. When used, the vegetable bins filled with water. Samsung sent non-English speaking technicians TWICE to pretend to fix it. Problem comes back. Contact Samsung Office of President requesting exchange. Response was no exchange as it was repaired twice. Wrote again since they missed the point. There is no repair.... its poorly designed. Waiting for reply. When is the Class Action happening?

I bought a Samsung fridge in December 2013. Three months ago, the vegetable drawer had a lot of water. I called customer service to report the problem. They sent someone to fix it. After a week later, the same problem happened. The repair man changed some parts. Two weeks later, I found same problem. I told them to exchange a new one. They said they always try to fix, but never get fixed. Today is my 7th time to call them to fix the same problem. They still refused to exchange me a new one since they never be able to fix. I promise, Samsung is the worst product and service Ive ever got. I really dont know what should I do next. I promise myself I would never ever buy Samsung products from now on.

I have had my Samsung stove in my house for 9 weeks and have had two different service requests during that time. After a month the entire top stopped working. No burners. It was repaired and I was thankful. 7 weeks into the use of my stove, I turned on the oven and after 5 or so minutes smoke started billowing from it and a terrible burning smell filled the air. There was nothing in my oven at the time and the smoke was actually coming from the back. With the assistance of my husband I pulled the stove away from the wall to see flames pouring out the back of my stove. We got it unplugged and the flames out. Had I not been in the room at the time, my kitchen would have gone up in flames. It has been two weeks since that incident and I still do not have stove. Samsung came across as caring at the beginning and sent a service technician, but they will not respond to me anymore. The service technician recommended a replacement of my stove but Samsung issued a repair order. Samsung connected me to someone in management via email, but they won’t acknowledge my concerns or even respond to my emails. It is an absolutely terrible product, and terrible customer service. This was my first and last Samsung appliance purchase. Do not buy this stove.

I purchased a refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and stove from Lowes in Baton Rouge Millerville location. The fridge had hole in water line to ice maker. The stove made noises. The rollers on top tray of dishwasher fell off. When I say junk its harsh but that is exactly what it is. Lowes sent another fridge and its making noises. On top of their products being junk they had a promotion going on at the time I bought the appliance which I purchased all four at once. Thirty-two hundred dollars worth to mail in recipes and we would receive a free 32 inch Samsung tv. I received a letter back stating that we did not meet the criteria to receive the television. Wow not surprised. I contacted Lowes for their help and reached dead end after dead end. I can truly say this, Their appliances are junk and I will never buy any of their products.

I purchased a set of 4 Samsung kitchen appliance in August. Shortly we found out that the food in the refrigerator freezes and the freezer’s ice maker stopped dispensing ice. Since it was 2 weeks since we bought it, I went to the Home Depot where we bought them to exchange it, but they stated that they will only return or exchange on the first three days and that we have to contact Samsung to repair it which it didn’t make me happy to hear that knowing that they don’t stand behind the products they sell. The manager said if Samsung attempts to fix it three times and the issue still not fixed then they will change it. So, I called Samsung and they started a ticket. Since then, it has been 2 months and several trips by the Samsung’s repairman, they were able to fix the ice maker, but the fridge still freezes the food and now when opening and closing the door the whole fridge makes a loud squeaking sound. On the last trip, the repairman contacted Samsung and stated that they have changed all parts they could, and the issue is still there. Samsung viewed the temperature difference and frozen food through a video conference with the repairman. They stated that it is the way that fridge is designed and do not put food in the back of refrigerator. I could not believe what I heard, and the repairman stated that he has done what he could. He wrote the report and left. In disbelief, I called Samsung customer service. The person helping me could not even access the ticket number to see the history and kept on trying to schedule a repair. When I asked to speak to a manager, somehow, she found a way to view the repair history and stated that she is noting the issue and a manager from the refund and exchange will contact me on Monday. So far no one has contacted me. We have been a Samsung family so far from our phones to TV, appliance etc. but starting to look into other manufacturers as the product quality and service is not there anymore. I hope they resolve this issue soon as possible as I cannot use my brand-new refrigerator. I try not to put food in it, because I have to through them away after a day.

In July 2016, I purchased a Samsung bundle which consisted of a refrigerator Model #RF28HMEDBBC, stove #NX58K3310SB/AA, microwave #ME16K3000AB & dishwasher #DW80J3020UB from Best Buy. I am totally happy with the services that I have received from Best Buy & the Geek Squad, however, I am so dissatisfied with the Samsung appliances. In 7/2018, the ice maker went out (Samsung provides no services!!!). I was told that the ice maker was not properly sealed & the Geek Squad replaced the ice maker. Then 10/2018, brown rust started to form on the bottom corners of the water shoot. The Geek Squad had to replace the entire door. 12/2018, the trim at the base of the oven door (which was glued on) came apart & the Geek Squad had to come back out & reattach it. And now, 12/18/18, as I was cooking dinner & steam was coming from the pot with vegetables (which is a normal thing) in it on the back burn, the stove’s back (oven, timer, & clock is located) started to discolor (my appliances are black!!). So now I have this spot on my stove. I was going to purchase the black Samsung washer & dryer, but after what I’ve experience with the kitchen appliances, there’s no way under the sun I’m going to purchase their washer & dryer. So dissatisfied with my Samsung appliances!

My microwave suddenly began beeping and displayed a SE code. Upon reviewing internet comments, I realized it is a common problem amongst owners and there were various experiences in getting a repair. After spending 45 minutes on the chat line, I was referred to the customer service line. I called and was greeted by a very friendly representative. Unfortunately, I called Samsung US and was referred to Samsung CA. The ticket number he provided was not recognized in Canada so I had to go through the whole story again. They were willing to send a technician out but I need to provide a receipt. In my opinion, a Samsung product is a Samsung product. Nonetheless, a few hoops to go through in order to get a technician out so will update later.

Horrible. Everything people are saying here rings true. I had trouble with the electronics panel from Day 1. The timer would not turn off properly, and Samsung did finally send a tech, who did nothing. A year in, I was baking and was unable to shut down the oven because the control panel wouldnt work. I had to throw the circuit breaker to get the oven to stop broiling! I believe I figured that the problem is that the panel gets nuts when it gets too hot since it was ok after the oven cooled down in 15 minutes. Some oven --- aaaaargh!

My fridge did the same thing as been reported about these type refrigerators, the back panel freezes in fridge side and stops cooling fridge. After multiple times pulling back panel off and defrosting with a hair dryer, I did all my research online in forums and here was what I did to solve problem. I found out it was a fairly inexpensive defroster type electrical thing that clipped onto the defrost line behind the panel where the fridge side cooled, so I replaced it. When the fridge goes into defrost mode is when the pooling water problem happens, because the drain hole is frozen but if you take a piece of clothes hangar and wrap one end around the defrost line and allow the other end to drop into drain hole, it will heat up and keep drain hole from freezing. It has been working for about 4 years now without any problem, except only produces crushed ice.

I purchased a brand new refrigerator from Lowes September of 2016. A couple weeks later the ice machine stopped giving ice. I called Samsung and first they told me to reset the ice machine and wait 24 hours. I did that and that didnt work. So I called back and they told me that my 1 year warranty was over and I would have to pay them for service. I DONT KNOW HOW A 1 YEAR WARRANTY CAN EXPIRE IN TWO MONTHS. It is December of 2016 that I am typing this review and I barely purchased my refrigerator in September of 2016. Either Samsung doesnt know how to count or the employees are high on drugs. This is so wrong. So I had to send my receipt to EFAX@sea.samsung.com and wait 24 to 48 hours. Well after a week of waiting I called back and they said that they never received my email. They are just trying to kill time for the warranty to really expire. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING SAMSUNG!!!

19 days without a fridge is not acceptable. Over 13 phone calls to Samsung and being hung up on 4 different times only to have to call back to get resolution, that I have not gotten. I am now told it will be another 3-5 business days before I will be contacted to receive a replacement fridge. 24-29 days and no fridge is completely unacceptable. Someone has dropped the ball and no one wants to take ownership. They only want to say they are sorry. I asked if their CEOs fridge went out if he would have waited this long to have his/her fridge replaced. I bet the answer to this is absolutely not. They probably would have had it replaced within the week.I now am resorted to living out of a cooler with ice so my kids can have milk and cheese, and eating out because it is so wasteful to buy a meal to prep only to have the items spoil because there is no freezer to put my stuff in or a large fridge to put these daily staples in. Who wants to pay for my spoiled food? Not Samsung. Who wants to reimburse me for the need to eat out? Not Samsung. Who wants to replace my fridge in a timely manner? Not Samsung. Who wants to pay for my gas to have drive into town daily to get food? Not Samsung. Who is going to pay for all my wasted hours spent dealing with this debacle? Not Samsung! What recourse of action do I have aside of contacting BBB and filing a complaint? Help!

Bought a Samsung over-the-range microwave from Sears. It came damaged with some dents. We figured it wasnt a big deal, we had waited months and went through a lost order hassle with Sears just to get the microwave, so we accepted what we got and installed it. Within a week of using the microwave, it started making a loud, screeching noise whenever we used it. We contacted Sears and were routed over to Samsung.Samsung said they cant replace/refund the microwave because you have to report damage within 48 hours of receiving the microwave. Good to know for the future, but I wont be buying from them ever again. This has been an almost 4 month back-and-forth between me, Sears, and Samsung. They are willing to send out a repairman to try and fix the loud sound, but they wont do anything about the exterior damage to the microwave. They gave me a service order number for the repair service and advised I call them to make an appointment so they can see about fixing the noise. I called the repair service and found out... oh, they dont service microwaves anymore. So now I have to call back Samsung and start the process all over again. I will never again buy a Samsung, not a fridge, not a microwave, not a TV or a phone. Never again. Same goes for Sears. At this point Im considering eating the cost of the microwave and throwing it out just so I dont have to deal with them anymore.

Had a technician come out because my ice maker was not producing ice and asked him about the odor. He could smell it too. He checked the drain, coils & compressor and found nothing wrong. I cleaned it out again and still have the odor. The technician said it smelled like celery. Agreed, but no celery in my fridge. Purchased a Samsung Model ME21H706MQS microwave oven and stove in October 2017. The microwave replaced a (what I thought was junk) Whirlpool microwave that was nine years old. The Samsung was higher above the stove and met all Samsung installation requirements. Thanksgiving Day comes, cooking for family and friends and the bottom of the microwave and door melts! We contacted Samsung many times, each time speaking to different people and on several occasions receiving different ticket numbers. All in all, they have a Samsung service company come to my home, but only after providing a very short notice and stating we must be home or the service will be void. Service rep comes and claims that its physical damage and is not covered by Samsung. Well hello! It melted! In short, customer service is absolutely terrible, Samsung does not stand behind their products, their follow-up via service reps is pressing and inconvenient. Terrible experience and would not recommend a Samsung product, nor will another ever enter my home.

I cant say enough how horrible our experience has been with these products. Refrigerator doesnt get cold enough, ss finish is terrible, microwave fogs up on glass in door and told thats normal. Range has been a nightmare. Electric stove top is terrible, uneven heat, burns, no heat, burns, no heat. Info panel sometimes lights up half, meat probe does not work, oven door locks on its own. Called for repair. Replaced info panel. Now burners turn on by themselves to high heat! Had to pull stove out and unplug as it would not turn off. One side of panel gets burning hot. Too long of a list to go on.Customer service is a joke. On hold an average of 1 hour with a continual loop of telling you to get on website to schedule repair. Website is no help. Get on live chat, 45 minutes waiting for response. Nothing. Call back, one hour wait on hold. Finally to be told, someone will call me in 1 or 2 days. I cannot have their phone no. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH EVERYTHING. JUST HORRIBLE. Plan on taking days off of work to schedule and to have repaired. Appts are a joke. Someone will call in morning to tell you about when they may be there. HORRIBLE.
