Just installed this Model ME21H706MQS/AC microwave. Turned it on started on fire. Luckily we were right there and caught it. Samsung should be ashamed of themselves for manufacturing such product. We just bought all new Samsung appliances including stove, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer. All top of the line items. It kinda makes you wonder what sort of crap they are making. Very concerned with their quality control. Bought at Home Depot Peterborough Canada.

When I bought my Samsung self-cleaning range with convection oven and glass
When I bought my Samsung self-cleaning range with convection oven and glass door it never occurred to me that dirt could get between the double glass on the oven door. I have had ranges from other manufacturers with see-thru doors before and have never experienced a problem. The Samsung, however, manages to collect dust so that after three years I cant even see the interior of the oven. I had a Samsung repair specialist look at it and he said theres no way to clean it.After three years the self-cleaning process no longer cleans and burners have hot spots. Ive stopped using the convection feature because theres no difference between that and the regular oven as far as performance is concerned. I am very unhappy with the Samsung range and am looking forward to replacing it soon. I would not recommend a Samsung product to my worse enemy if I had one. Suggest if you are thinking of buying Samsung you run as fast as you can in another direction.

POTENTIAL SAFETY HAZARD: Samsung dw80f600uts Dishwasher - This has been the worst appliance experience ever. Dishwasher worked fine for about the first 18 months. Then, on occasion, it would give an error code (Smart Auto and Heavy would flash). If we stopped and restarted it, it would usually run through the cycle. We are a family of only 2 adults, so we are not hard on it, nor do we run it more than 1 to 2 times per week due to handwashing some dishes (as the dishwasher cycle is VERY LONG... like 3 hours)! This morning the dishwasher stopped and gave error message, I tried to stop and restart. No luck. Then, while I had the door open, it started on its own!! (ID CALL THIS A SAFETY HAZARD). With all the complaints about this unit, I would think that Samsung would do a recall, or an optional recall, so at least those with issues can get unit corrected on Samsungs dime. We are choosing not to pay to have it fixed, as the reviews show that most have had to have fixed multiple times. Would rather buy a different brand than invest more in this faulty model.

On 8/29/16 we purchased the 25 cu ft French Door with External Water & Ice Dispenser, Model Number: RF263BEAESG/AA Refrigerator in the Black Stainless finish. Delivered 9/3/16. We purchased this high end very pricey fridge, a high end matching gas range and dishwasher so we spent a pretty decent amount of money. The set was ordered from a local appliance store and was NOT a scratch & dent product. While from a distance the fridge looks fantastic, dont look too close. Under the factory packaging (plastic protective packaging & cardboard was not damaged at all) there were numerous scratches and a small dent in the upper left door. I would expect a new expensive appliance such as this would not arrive in this condition. The appliance store is closing and unable to order a new refrigerator or even just a new door. I dont need an entire new fridge, just an undamaged door.Samsung feels it is our problem and refused to do anything about it. While waiting on hold the recorded message spoke of their commitment to customer service. Well we didnt get that, in fact just the opposite. Interesting is that we really like Samsung and have always promoted their products. This is the first issue weve had and they failed us. I would not recommend this product due to how fragile it seems to be and Samsung will not make it right. I have a beautiful new kitchen with very nice high end Samsung appliances, except for the scratched and dented fridge. Is this really what I waited for all these years? Extremely disappointed. How hard would it be to replace my door? Any other appliance store would have sent it back to Samsung and requested a replacement from Samsung. Why cant Samsung just do that for me?Thanks alot Samsung. Also, I submitted this same review on Samsungs site and guess what? They wont post it.

Our over the range stainless steel MWO was installed professionally on 12/28/12. On March 2, 2015 the little plastic piece inside the stainless steel handle (now theres construction for you) to which the handle is attached to the door cracked and fell out. The small 50 cent piece cannot be purchased of course, a full handle assembly to the tune of $56 is required for this fix. No sooner does the handle arrive in the mail, that the hook-clasp spring inside the door stops functioning and now the door wont even stay shut. This model has the electronics in the door, so replacement is about half the cost of the microwave.A phone call to Samsung this morning (3/18/2015) yielded nothing but frustration. I feel like I am a pretty good Samsung customer with the Samsung Range, Samsung Refrigerator, Samsung 10 tablet, 2 Samsung smart phones and 2 Samsung Smart TVs (40 & 50) and 2 Samsung DVD Players. I would think that level of customer would command a certain amount of loyalty from the company. After climbing up to the 1st level of supervisor, my frustration wouldnt allow me chase it further, since they both did the same search for recalls or problems and essentially used the same word tracks. So now I walk the walk of how much to spend on repairs: The MWO is available at Lowes for $449. Installation/delivery is $125. Repairs: $56 for the new handle; $75 Repairman Trip; a new door costs $200. Refrigerator: The door shelf has had to be replaced to the tune of $80. Samsung looks pretty but seems to lack good construction and durability. I never had any issues with any of my GE appliances; nor those that we sold when I was in remodel construction. Guess Ill go back to GE.

Samsung is horrible! I purchased a Samsung Bottom Mount Freezer in April of 2010 from Sears. I was told that it was rated five stars by Consumer Reports. Best fridge out there for my price range, according to the sales guy. In August of 2011, my freezer section was heating up. To make a long story short, Samsung told me to deal with it since it has a one year warranty and they dont know how long their appliances last. I called every repair man in my area but no one will work on Samsung because they are so hard to deal with and get parts for.I ended up with Sears Home Appliance Repair. They are the only ones willing to work on this product. Three weeks later and $500.00 worth of meat spoiled, I get the guy to my house only to find out that my condenser and compressor are broken and heating up. Did I mention that I was also getting water in the fridge part under the cold cut drawer, which apparently was caused by a clogged drain line? Really. How does all this happen to a brand new fridge? It takes two weeks to get my parts only to find out that they were already broken when I received them.Another two weeks later, my fridge parts come in. Get this. The freezer section caught on fire as soon as the parts were put in by their certified technician. He soldered through my firewall and burnt out the whole bottom of my freezer. I am told that Samsung and/or Sears will replace the unit for free and that the fridge section is okay to use since the repairman took out all the bad parts. Two days later, the fridge caught on fire again. Luckily, I was home to throw it out my front door at 8 oclock on a Sunday night. My house smells like smoke, all my food is destroyed, and the service woman on the phone had the ** to tell me that I should be grateful that I was offered $500.00 in a voucher to Sears towards a new appliance since their service man did not want to do the job anyway. It took me six days of nonstop phone calls to customer service to get my money back--a full refund. If I did not take three hours a day out of my life to hound every person, I would still be waiting for those people to review my case. All I expect is a product that works longer than one year, is that so bad? And if, for some reason, beyond my control, that appliance stops working, is it wrong to ask for a fair treatment and a full refund to replace it? I had to work hard to get these Customer Service people to treat me like I was a customer. My advice is do not give up. Make them see that they cant keep doing this and get away with it.I am done with any Samsung appliance and I am done with shopping at Sears. They are unfair, rude and thieves. I am happy to get my money back so I can go buy a Frigidaire. They cost a little more but they work. I was fooled by the fancy lights and options. Now, I am going back to simple clean and reliable. Dont buy Samsung. If I wasnt home, what would have happened to my house when the fridge caught on fire? Buyers, beware! They dont care about you; they care about your money!

I am very unhappy with this Samsung Oven No#:(0D1NFDAH900088B), that I purchased in November of 2016, at Best Buy. I do homemade cakes for family and friends, each one I try to bake in this oven falls flat. It has been tested by Best Buys technicians, and I still have the same problem. I have to go to my sisters house, because I cant bake a cake in my own oven. Not one cake that I tried to bake has risen properly in this oven. The oven is peeling and rusting on the inside and there is stains on the glass doors that will not come out. I WILL NEVER BUY A SAMSUNG APPLIANCE AGAIN!!! UNHAPPY CUSTOMER IN DALLAS.

Very disappointed with this model (Samsung OTR Microwave model SMH2117S). Turn table stopped working within year of purchase. This year 2017. Not 3 years past Manufactured date of March 2014. The darn thing would not work. Sometimes if we slammed the door we could get it to turn on. Did online searches and found that we should check the door latch and the door switches. Test reviewed they were good. The wiring in the left hand top of the door - seemed to be faulty. The light in the microwave and the lights on the display would go off before you even closed the door. Opened the door and jiggled the wires. It is now working. It is scary the reviews that I have read about fires for Samsung microwaves. Not recommending Samsung microwaves.

We purchased the Samsung Electric Range Model NE595R0ABSR Oct. 2014. The convection fan in the oven stopped working. This also causes the oven temp. to drop. Contacted Samsung Consumer Support. I was told the item is out of warranty. They will not provide a part number or allow you to purchase the items to repair the issue. They do have preferred service companies aka sub-contractors. Samsung can not or will not provide an estimate on what the repair may cost. Im in my 40s and remember appliances of my parents and grandparents lasting 20 plus years. I will NEVER purchase or recommend ANY Samsung appliance!

So sad. Built a beautiful home almost 2 years ago (June 2015). Was so excited to have a nice kitchen. We decided on a Samsung suite for the kitchen. The problems started with our dishwasher. Didnt clean the dishes and smelled of garbage every time you opened it. Had numerous tech calls to fix never was. My last straw was when they didnt show up for another appointment after taking an afternoon off from work. We replaced it with a Bosch after only 8 months. My microwave doesnt turn. It used to but we discovered (after warranty was up) that the plate feet were too big for the part on bottom of microwave to turn it. So the refrigerator. Small issue but the bottom deli tray cover comes off every single time you open the drawer. It is too small for the drawer.Called Samsung and they sent us another one. Same issue. Go into Best Buy and look at the floor model and it works and fits perfectly. Not sure why ours does that. Last month noticed that the same drawer was stuck. Pulled it out and there is a buildup of ice on bottom. Cleaned it all up and has happened again. I am sitting here with two coolers, a dorm refrigerator and my RV refrigerator filled and my Samsung unplugged and empty. I have read that this is an issue. Almost to point of just wanting a new refrigerator. I wish I had the money to replace right now. Dont want to deal with Samsung products again. (Also have a 55 Samsung flat screen and the picture turns off randomly and you have to shut it all down and restart).

HHgregg sent out a few repairmen (no report), did nothing, said it cant be fixed. I called Samsung they sent out 2 repairmen. No info and no work. In Feb 2013 I was taken to St. Lucie Medical center as I was violently ill. DX Bacteria in my lung. I spent the month of Feb in the hospital as I almost died and almost a year rehabilitating. I cannot open the dishwasher for fear of another attack. My daughter holds her breath and we over clean the unit. The repairman that was here today said to me, It needs to be replaced.

Purchased Samsung refrigerator 3 years ago. Ice maker has not been working
Purchased Samsung refrigerator 3 years ago. Ice maker has not been working properly for several months. After researching this problem, I find it is very common. It has been reported that there was a design change made to the current model to address this. Spoke to a Samsung customer support person as well as a manager. They will not assist with the cost of the service call in any way. I received estimates of $400-$500 dollars. The refrigerator cost $2000. So in three years I am incurring a repair cost equal to 1/4 the price of the refrigerator. We are remodeling our kitchen in several month. It looks like it will be LG for us in the future.

Holy **! You spend nearly $3,000 on a refrigerator, and 2 months outside of the standard 12-month warranty, the display goes out. 2 months? Really. The fact that they dont have enough faith in their own products to warranty a $2,800 unit for 24 months is ludicrous. I wish I would have read these comments beforehand. I bought a $550 Samsung Stainless Steel Dishwasher and then due to delays in the remodel and a simultaneous divorce, only got around to installing the unit just a year and a few days after my date of purchase. The unit gave an error code - bad pump, and never actually worked. Samsung customer support is the most rude, terrible support ever and there is no warranty based on install date, just on purchase date. Appliance repair said the parts cost for the pump is $350 and Im better off throwing this unit away and buying a different brand. Have the same unit in a rental and it works but really doesnt clean well at all. Dont buy Samsung appliances.

Updated on 05/05/2020: Sumsung does not stand by their appliances. Two week
Updated on 05/05/2020: Sumsung does not stand by their appliances. Two weeks ago, my Samsung microwave - 4-1/2 yrs.old - turned itself on. Didnt hear it running until the fan came on. By that time, it had melted a splatter cover to the turntable. We had to unplug it to get it to stop. The unit was red hot. If we werent home, there could have been a serious fire. Samsungs response - a free service call to diagnose the problem. We would have to pay for the part ($121) plus labor. They assume no responsibility for a potentially dangerous situation. Weve already replaced the Samsung French door refrigerator because of a defective ice maker that would cost $500+ to repair (there is a class action lawsuit concerning this) as well as a potential $300 fan repair. We have had to replace the control panel on the Samsung range 5 months ago. All the Samsung appliances were bought new and delivered Jan. 29, 2015. My advice to anyone considering Samsung appliances - find another brand. Regardless of what Consumer Reports says (which we consulted before making the purchase), buy ANYTHING but Samsung. Thanks for letting me vent.Original Review: We have a Samsung microwave purchased on 2014. Today, the microwave evidently turned itself on without the fan. By the time the fan turned on and I heard it running, it had melted a plastic splatter cover to the turntable. We were unable to turn it off and had to go to the breaker to shut it off. If we werent home at the time, there could have been a fire in our kitchen. This is a very dangerous situation. This is the second Samsung appliance causing issues. We just replaced a Samsung refrigerator also purchased in 2014 that had weekly ice maker jams (we understand there is a class action suit against Samsung for this issue). All I can say is it is very fortunate we were home when the microwave malfunctioned. I intend to replace the microwave and report this issue directly to Samsung. Im sure there is no recourse except to repair or replace the unit. At this point, I have lost all faith in any Samsung appliance and will never purchase this brand again.

Oven not heating - I have a Samsung FER300SX stove and when we bake something and set it on 350 it heats up to about 225 and what is so bad about it I have had the elements checked the board checked the temp sensor checked and still will not heat up. I have calibrated it time and time again still same problem. I guess they think if we sell junk people will keep buying junk. My first and last Samsung. There should be some kind of lemon law. I know back in the 70s if you bought a car and if you took it back for the same repair more than 3 times you could make them buy it back by the lemon law. My husband purchased the whole kitchen group less the dishwasher from HH Gregg before they went belly up in 6/2017 with a 5 year warranty ($500) EXTRA! The icemaker stopped producing ice in Oct 2017. Called warranty dept. They sent out tech and he thawed out the underneath of the icemaker. Stated there was no replacement at the time. We could deal with it and hoped it fixed it. In 2018, it started the same thing, NO ICE and frozen up again. The warranty dept sent techs out on 3 different occasions that year, still NOT WORKING properly. The warranty dept said there was nothing else they could do and we would be getting a refund check in the mail.We received a check for $1400 from Samsung this year, called and asked why not a full refund, were told the techs that had been sent the 4 trips to REPAIR totaled the balance of the total cost of $2500 we originally paid for the refrigerator. This is a beautiful Black Stainless 4 door. I totally loved it from the start but I HATE IT NOW AND WILL NOT BE PURCHASING ANOTHER SAMSUNG ITEM! So we lost out on over $1000 and still have a broken refrigerator!

The ice maker in our refrigerator initially leaked. A repair tech changed the seal to the outer door and suggested not using crushed ice. The ice maker then starting building up a lot of frozen water and the ice cubes jammed when they went to drop. A repair tech applied silicone sealant around the exterior of the ice box. The ice maker continued to jam. A repair tech replaced the electrical board that would help the ice maker defrost and not build up ice. The ice maker then quit making ice cubes. A repair tech said the ice box should be changed. This could not be done because no part number could be made. Another repair tech said the ice maker needed replacement, but he could not remove the ice box because of the sealant. Another repair tech replaced the ice maker by removing one screw and not touching the ice box. The ice maker is making ice but now the ice will not come out of the ice maker. For a $3000 refrigerator this is a terrible ice maker and even worse instructions for repair technicians. Samsung will not stand behind making repairs beyond the first year. The extended warranty company has done everything they can to make it difficult to accomplish repairs.

I got this stove in 2012 and had purchased extended warranty for 3 years. The stove was okay performance wise but scratched too easily. I had other glass cooktops that looked better even after 8, 9 years while this one got all scratched up. And three weeks back the glass top just burst when I was cooking. Thankfully the shards of glass held intact and did not fall in. As per my manual the glass top was covered for 5 years. I call extended warranty that had expired and found out that this was common occurrence with samsung stoves. I register a complaint with Samsung customer service and as per the guy who spoke he will send a service tech to inspect cause as it was still under warranty. I was asked to email pictures which I promptly did. After living 1 week without stove I follow up and was transferred to Executive customer service and the lady who spoke was really rude. She checked my email as I am on phone after asking for date and case # etc and right away says that claim is rejected because it is physical damage and after repeated questioning too could not explain physical damage and proceeded to say it was my fault. I said Ill sue them and she goes on to say I could and send me the response in email as I asked that for legal purposes. She cuts me off and emails that it is my fault hence not covered. I call again and fight my way through the same BS Executive customer service and convince other guy to open new case and send pictures from different angles. After dealing with them for 3 weeks an hour each time on phone they say they cannot honour the warranty and say it is cosmetic scratches that caused the break. How can something that you yourself call cosmetic cause a shattered glass. I will never buy anything samsung ever again. Dont waste your money buying anything made of samsung. Apparently drain has problem with freezing over, told by repair company that it would not happen again. May 2015 - same problem, this time 450.00 to repair. Wrote to Samsung and they denied any responsibility. Apparently this is a common problem and the fix is not adequate - would not recommend Samsung refrigerators to anyone. After reading Consumers Report Magazine and choosing the top rated products, we went to Best Buy and purchased all three appliances at once. The Oven started smoking (first time used), filled the house with toxic smoke, burnt my ladys face. The microwave exhaust fan never turned on. All this happened within the first time we used the oven. The side by side refrigerator started leaking water and wont stop leaking (water dispenser). Samsung sent out repairman for the range-oven, ordered parts then came back out to finish repairs, tried to use oven again, oven went up in smoke again. SoCalGas Co. came out and RED-tagged the Range-Oven. So far Samsung has blamed us for all the problems. We had to hire an attorney to handle this mess. Samsung has problems with their phones, washing machines, ranges, microwaves, and refrigerators. I wonder whats next?

Bought Samsung range, refrigerator and microwave at the beginning of 2013. The microwave died after 2 days and the Lowes representative let us return it. He said he had seen a lot of problems, so we got a GE instead. The touch pad on the range never worked properly and have had techs out here 6 times. They can never fix it in one call. They have to diagnose, then order parts. It is now broken again and we are due to have a tech come out on September 1st. Every time they come, I have to miss 1/2 a day of work. No weekend appointments available. The handle on the refrigerator broke off and they repaired that. Now the plastic shelves are breaking. These products are very cheaply made. DO NOT PURCHASE!!!

We replace our outdated refrigerator with a Samsung french door type unit. Almost immediately we noticed a strong, very strong odor when opening the door for use. Over time the odor was stronger. I had a technician out and we pulled the unit apart, every part was cleaned and sanitized. Even before we returned the food to the unit it began to smell again!!

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator in August of 2013, Model #RF31FMEDBSR/AA. It worked fine for a couple of years, then in March of this year the freezer part stopped freezing. A Sears tech came out on March 31st, ordered a compressor, evaporator and dryer, came following week and replaced. Took freezer 3 days to start freezing properly, worked a few days and started having the same problem. Called tech service back, came out on April 22 did a recover/recharge. Worked a couple of weeks, same problem again. On May 16 came out again repeated the recover/recharge procedure. Within the next two weeks had to call again with same problem. Tech came out on May 31 replaced Thermo BIM part, worked for about a month. Now same problem with freezer and temps in the refrigerator part of unit is also failing. All Samsung wants to do is send me a certified Samsung tech and charge me a bill... The last Sears Tech has worked on refrigerators for 30 years. Yes this is a lemon, and yes Ill let everyone know about Samsungs customer service. No I wont purchase another Samsung product. This is a LEMON!

I am a 73 yo Veteran and have had a dishwasher all my life. This Samsung dishwasher (Model #AA3JAG9MC&05835Y) is the worst I have ever owned starting with the dumb design of the dish racks that make your glasses fall over and dished roll when the rack is pulled out or pushed in. The worst problem is that it does not clean the dishes, I have been embarrassed several times when guests poured a drink and then dumped it when they saw the glass was not clean. I wash the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher and still have to put a lot back in the dishwasher when they come out dirty. Ran the dishwasher twice yesterday and the dishes and glasses still come out dirty. Samsung wants me to spend my money to have their reps come out to fix the problem. Not going to happen, will throw out the Samsung and buy another brand that does what it is supposed to do.Also having problems with my Samsung Grand Prime cell phone. Friends are cursing me for not answering my phone only to find out that the ringer has changed from sound to vibrate or do not disturb WITHOUT my knowledge. Samsung can correct by a simple LOCK function on settings but after numerous calls and requests Samsung did nothing to correct the problem. Solution to my problems: TRASH MY SAMSUNG PRODUCTS AND GET ANOTHER BRAND THAT WORKS.

I bought a Samsung four door refrigerator type back in June 2013 at Lowes. A year after, the ice maker started to slow down making cube ice and then completely stopped producing it for just approximately 1 year and 3 months, not to mention on the countless reset I have done just to have ice. It will cost me $200-$300 for the repair and replacement of the unit as what I have been informed by their customer service. I was even told that I should have taken the extended warranty ;-(.... June 2019, the unit completely shutdown as both fridge and freezer were not cooling off anymore. Just 6 years and there goes my hard earned money down the drain. I thought Samsung was supposed to be a good long term household appliance, but turned out to be a BIG disappointment. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR YALL BUYING THIS SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR!!!

I spent over $2500 for a new Samsung counter depth refrigerator in mid 2015
I spent over $2500 for a new Samsung counter depth refrigerator in mid 2015 after I remodel my kitchen. It works fine for about 1 1/2 year. After 1 1/2 year, I started to have problems. A year ago the freezer will not go down to the temperature I set. Even I set it to minor 8 degree F, it only went down 15 degree F. I was advised by some website to reset the refrigerator by turning off the power overnight. I did and it worked again. Six months ago, no ice came out from the ice maker. I open the ice maker and found it completely frozen. I turned the power off and blow some warm air to melt the ice. After I removed the ice, it worked again.A couple weeks ago, the freezer warmed up again. This time, I know resetting the refrigerator can only solve the problem for a few months so I called Samsung service center. A technical came, open the freezer and spent half an hours checking. He told me that defrost sensor went bad and the ice built up blocking the cold air from entering the freezer. Also the cover needed to be replaced. I ask him if the repair will take care of the ice maker frozen problem. He told me that it is a different problem and many people have the same problem due to design issue and Samsung offered to repair it free even warranty expired. I called Samsung but with no luck, Samsung refused to have it fixed. Repairing the ice maker will cost another $400.The technician left and 2 days later, another technician came with the parts. He did some more checking and told me that the cover did not need to be replaced but the control board did not send power to the heater. Unfortunately, the previous technician did not check the control board so he need to order the control board and will come back later. He told me that I should purchase extended warranty. I went to online chat with Samsungs Chat site and was told that I can purchase extend warranty even the refrigerator warranty expired. The gentlemen even told me that the I should get some discount for the current repair if I elected to purchase extended warranty. He gave me the number to call.I called Samsung extended warranty department and found out that extend warranty cost $550 a year and will be effective 30 days after all repairs were done and I needed to show them receipts of all repairs. There will be no discount to current repair either. I was surprised that extended warranty cost $550/year for a refrigerator. The conclusion was the refrigerator will experience problems very often, maybe an average of once a year because average repair cost will be 4 to 5 hundred dollar each time. This policy tells us to expect Samsung refrigerator to be repaired once a year. This morning, I found out that the water dispenser at the refrigerator started leaking. Oh boy, another problem I have to deal with. I did a quick estimate. It will cost me about $1450 to have everything repaired and spend $550 for a one year extended warranty. That is $2000. Should I buy a new one instead. My last refrigerator was a 20 years old GE. It is still in the garage working fine. The other one was a 35 years old Whirlpool. I gave it away when I purchased the Samsung. My GE and Whirlpool gave me a combined 55 years of trouble free service while the Samsung gave me 3 problems in 2 1/2 years.

Smart auto and Heavy code on DW80F600UTS. I purchased this dishwasher in late 2013 because it was on sale. It was a year later when the Smart Auto and Heavy lights started blinking. I didnt purchase the extended warranty which was a mistake. The dishwasher became something for looks for awhile until I had time to fix it. Once I started fixing it recently, I found many posts on all the possible fixes. I replaced the case break and it still does not work. I see others say to replace the ECS and main boards. I must have pulled out the dishwasher a half a dozen times already trying to fix it. What a waste of time and money. Never buy a Samsung. I think I will also trade my Galaxy S5 for an iPhone just out of principle.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator RF263AEBP in 7/2010 from PC Richards. The extend warranty I purchased has ended and the rubber sealant on my doors is just peeling off. I called Samsung to let them know that is not common for a 3 year old refrigerator and was told that the manufacture warranty of one year was over. I told them this is a workmanship issue. You would not expect the rubber sealant to be peeling off for no reason on both my french doors and my freezer. I escalated my call to the Executive Relationship Department and was basically told it was my problem and they could schedule me for an out of warranty appointment that I would have to pay for or I could purchase a Samsung Protection Plus warranty plan that would then cover the repair. I am disgusted with the reply from Samsung. A basically new refrigerator not even four years old should not be coming apart like that especially when its not an exposed area. Im writing this review because I suspect that I am not the only one with this issue.

In December 2015, I purchased a Samsung built-in dishwasher model DW80F600UTS/AA. I finally got it installed around July 2016. By November 2017, the dishwasher stopped working. The pump was running even though there was no water in it. I opened the door and the pump does not stop. The heavy LED was flashing even though I never selected heavy cycle. I try to turn off the dishwasher using the power button, it turns off for 2-3 seconds then it comes back automatically and the pump is just keep going. The only way to shut it off is by flipping the circuit breaker. I tried every recommended method, which included keeping power off for a while and then reapply, but nothing worked. As soon as power was applied, the pump started running and wouldnt shut off using front panel controls. An appliance repair technician came to my house in December 2017, but the regular warranty had expired. Fortunately, I had purchased a 3 year extended warranty. The technician diagnosed a bad control panel and sump pump assembly. It took 3 months for the parts to arrive. Once the new parts were installed (March 2018), it worked great; for approximately 3 months and then broke again (June 2018) with the exact same problem. A repair technician came out and replaced the sump motor again. The dishwasher worked until the end of August 2018 and quit working again with the exact same symptoms as the previous two times. A repair technician came out on 4 September 2018, diagnosed a bad sump motor and placed it on order. Around 4 November 2018, I called for status on when I could expect my dishwasher to be repaired. I was informed the motor had to be ordered from Korea and they had no idea when it would be shipped. I canceled the service request and am going to trash the dishwasher. I will never buy another Samsung appliance again.

Refrigerator temp is not keeping things cold enough - We purchased a refrigerator (rsg257aars) in Dec 2011. From the beginning, I noticed food smells when I opened the refrigerator door. I adjusted the temp all the way to 34 degrees to see if that would help. Finally, I put a digital thermometer in the fridge to see what temp it registered and it was between 42 and 43 . We put two more thermometers to double check and they also read 43. We called for repair and he told me I cant use analog thermometers to check. I asked him to check himself and he only had a laser one and he warned me that it would register 15 or 20 degrees higher. However, he assured me that my refrigerator was working fine.I called Samsung and told them, I need another repairman; do not send me the same person. On 2/28/12, I was speaking with Steve, who told me he was my personal service advocate and he would make sure he sent someone else and he said it was going to work. So while we were having dinner, the repairman rang the bell and lo and behold, it was the exact same person. This time, my husband spoke to him and tried to explain the problem. The repairman could not figure out the problem. Of course I called for a third time and that repairman called Samsung and between the two of them on the speaker phone, they decided it was the sensor. We had to wait a week for the sensor to be delivered and after the sensor was installed, I asked if he had to check if it worked and he said no, it is working and he left. About a half hour later, when I checked the temp, it hadnt improved. I called Steve and left a message and he never called me. Then a woman left her number to verify if the repair work was done and I called her and there hasnt been a callback.Bottom line is, my refrigerator is not working and my next step is to blog or do a YouTube on how poor the service of Samsung is. I called to speak to a supervisor today and they said there wasnt a supervisor available, so they will request a callback. Something has to be done!

Although my Samsung Refrigerator (Model RF217ACRS) looks great and worked fine for a while, the fridge is a lemon. Do not buy a Samsung fridge. Even though I have had two visits from a professional and had one part replaced, the fridge suffers from major ice buildup problems. At first it was ice and water in the bottom of the fridge. Later it was ice buildup that cut off the flow of cold air. The machine needs to be unplugged and defrosted on a regular basis which is extremely annoying. It just turned 5 years and of course warranty expired. Just one month after the warranty expired the fridge part stopped working. Keep in mind I have dual ice makers. Only one works at any given time. Other. In 4 years I needed 4 new ice makers. Luckily I had purchased Lowes extended warranty. Thats a problem in itself as youll wait weeks for service and even longer for parts. I had them come out for one service call for the broken ice maker and the technician ordered a new part and I was told to wait for the part. Took almost a month with me calling every week to finally get the part and told they ordered the wrong part. Waited months for a replacement part which never came. They stated I would have to pay $175.00 for a service call for the tech to verify my ice maker was broke and then installation cost. I asked for them to just send me the replacement and I would have installed myself. No such luck. So my ice maker has a warranty which is useless unless Samsung gets paid for bogus charges. Seems this is a very problematic model from all the complaints listed. There should be a recall or class action lawsuit.

Bought a new samsung side by side new at Lowes. It is 11 months old and still under warranty and extended warranty. Started making ticking noise like the fan is hitting against something 3 months ago. Samsungs response is that it is overloaded/over packed and I should unload and defrost. This works for a couple of weeks, then it is the same. I do not load this any more full than my previous Whirlpool side by side or GE before that. Neither previous unit quit working, just moved to larger unit and this time to a stainless. Went with Samsung because it was on sale for same price as Whirlpool but I got a Energy star rebate because of its energy efficiency. If I had read reviews first I would not have bought it. Now I read that Samsung is exiting the American market because we expect them to last too long. A counterpart at work had same issue with identical unit he bought 3 months earlier at Best Buy. He had to threaten Best Buy with legal action before they finally replaced it with more expensive unit (he paid difference). I will never again buy a Samsung product. While during the warranty period, the lower icemaker never worked properly or regularly. Samsung sent out a repairman who replaced the icemaker at no charge (under warranty). The replacement was of equal poor quality as it operated for a month or so before problems started. Water would overfill and spill into the ice bin... Finally, we decided to shut off the lower icemaker. The warranty had expired and I was not going to pay for a service call because I was beginning to see more problems on the horizon. The upper icemaker would produce ice at a much slower pace, but we survived. Then the water leaking into the meat/cheese drawer began. Puddles of clean water that you could splash in the drawer... I started keeping a hand towel at the back to absorb the water and every few days I would replace the water soaked towel with a dry one. Sometimes the wet towel is frozen stiff. Then, a layer of ice was developing under the meat drawer! Water was dripping under it and freezing up. If the layer built up enough over a weeks time, you would have difficulty sliding the drawer in and out and closing the drawer. As a new maintenance routine I take contents from the drawer, pull the drawer completely out of the refrigerator, scrape out the ice on the bottom of the refrigerator cabinet, then put the drawer back in. Can you believe this? Many of my fresh vegetables are freezing (ruining) in the refrigerated section... not in the drawers but sitting on the shelf. At least once a week I have to go through the de-icing routine, maybe more often depending on the ice build up. As of yesterday, the door dispenser of ice and water has stopped operating. Nothing comes out of the dispenser. Zero.Like everyone else on ConsumerAffairs, I called Samsung who referred me to their service center. I do not care to put anymore money into this lousy lemon. I would feel so guilty to sell this second hand to anyone else! But I dont want it anymore! I have never, never, never had such a terrible appliance. When we spent several thousand dollars to buy this Samsung refrigerator, I had waited a long time to buy something that would last a while and be maintenance free. This has been anything but what I had hoped for. Wheres some help from our government to act upon the company that is stealing from consumers???

About four years ago we bought a SAMSUNG STOVE (with one induction) and convection oven from Sears when we renovated our kitchen. It was good the first year when we still have the warranty. But on the third year the problems came up - fast & hard. First the induction burnt out - we have to order (calling center is in Asia) and order was screwed up a few times - and of course we had to pay a couple of hundred CAD dollars! Now close to Thanksgiving - the oven is emitting black smoke!!! Our old stove/oven was almost 30 yrs old when we decided to replace it with this Samsung!!! HELP!

My husband has been buying Samsung product for 20 years and since building our new home of course all of everything has to be Samsung...well either theyre under new management or they are getting too comfortable with their name, because we have had bad experience with the oven the 1st year. The door got stuck self cleaning and burned out the display panel and still cant see the numbers on it even after getting it fixed parts in all service paid $400. Microwave numbers seems to jam sometimes but still work. The Samsung vacuum cleaner has no adjustment, very hard to push and now 4 year later within the 5 year of our new home the refrigerator bottom freezer does not work.We YouTube fix it yourself and nothing has worked...top work but bottom doesnt and not to mention the dishwasher top rack will fall on one side off the track. We paid cash from Best Buy for all of our Samsung appliances and I am very disappointed and wait a minute our 50 tv all of a sudden had gotten a green line to appear in the left hand corner. Dont know how that happened...we are 50 year old. No kids to cause any of this damage nor do we have pets. We are very clean people and dont want to have to replace all these but looks like soon its gonna happen so this is our past experience with Samsung products

New kitchen engineered professionally. Sent model and serial # to Kitchen contractor. Built the shell for fridge to Samsungs specs. Refrigerator door would not open to access crisper. SAMSUNG HAD NO RESPONSE! Contractor wants $1500 to reconfigure cabinet? Samsung says SORRY. Fridge wont make ice. Samsung said no repairman in the area. So one year warranty no good if Samsung doesnt have repairman in your area??? NEVER AGAIN!

We purchased this range NX58J770SS/AS on the first week of November 2018. That week I worked late all week and didnt use the oven. The next week went on vacation. So back Thanksgiving week, cooked the Turkey and after that may have used the oven 3 or 4 times. So on Dec 18 I decided to bake croutons, top part of oven 400 degree, with about 3 tablespoon of oil on a baking sheet. After 10 min. thought they were done, shut the oven off. Then decided to put them in again for more crunch, turned the oven on. Turned around and in seconds the smoke alarms go off, and look in the oven and blazing flames coming from oven. Turned oven off and thank God my husband had a fire extinguisher out in the garage! Smoke was bad and now white stuff everywhere. Of course called service in the morning, and told them the same story. They sent a repairman Dec 24, took pictures and video for the technician people. I didnt get an answer from them by the end of that week, so I called them to see what their answer was. Their answer was is cosmetically injured. Ask them what that meant, there was oil on the back part of the oven. I said first it was cooked off. And 3 tablespoon of oil would of not caused a blazing flames. So now I have an oven that was told not to use by the repairman, and the people we purchased the oven from. The person I talked to said that was their decision, and end of that story. First I cook for a living and never saw a brand new oven cause that type of flame!

I have a 3 month old Samsung DW80M2020 dishwasher. The flashing light on Normal was the reason called for service as that is a signal something is wrong. I troubleshoot everything that was possible for me to check, service was dispatched from a company name of Nisi. I was told machine was out of balance and that they corrected the problem. Wrong. The problem still exists. Dispatched another young man on Friday and he noted on my ticket that he adjusted drain hose and that I should have no more problem. Wrong. The light was still blinking. I called again and they gave me a repair ticket number and the phone number for the same company that was out 2 times already and they told me they would not come out because it was not installed properly, How did it work great for 2 months if it had not been installed properly. Customer service is non existing at Samsung in my opinion.

SAMSUNG.... SAMSUNG.... Remember that name and do not buy a refrigerator from them... TWICE in the last week they made an offer to buy back our fridge. The second offer was $150 more than the first... gave me ticket numbers both time and the second time said a acceptance package was in the mail... Then out of the blue some little girl from their C/S office called tonight and reneged on the offer... said it had been denied and then could not let me talk to a Manager, Supervisor or Team Lead. She was all that was working tonight... Wish we had checked all the online reviews before we ever spent $2500 dollars on a fridge that has caused $8000 dollars worth of damage to my floors. The refrigerator is new and has been working very well. We purchased this refrigerator on sale and it was delivered and set up. It has an ice maker that makes chipped and cubed ice, and makes more ice than you can use. It has filtered water in the door. It has a bottom freezer drawer that holds a bin for the ice cubes and a lot of frozen items. It has separate drawers in the interior of the refrigerator that are separately cooled. So you can keep your beer at a certain temperature while you watch the super bowl. It is a charcoal color and looks nice. The only thing I dont like is the lights of the control panel are blue behind a black panel and makes it hard to see when you are trying to order water or ice.

The only good thing I will say about this piece of junk is that it is a nice looking microwave. I bought it in April 2016 and have had numerous problems. In November 2017 while using the convection oven the door glass shattered out of nowhere. Before that happened it had shut off completely on three occasions and would turn back on in the morning when it cooled down. I have a Geek Squad warranty so they fixed the door in November and since then the cavity TCO has failed twice and burnt the wires along with it. Before I bought this piece of junk I had a GE Advantium that lasted 15 years without a problem before it died. I guess you get what you pay for with the $400 piece of Samsung garbage. Do yourself a favor if you are reading this and do not buy a Samsung.

Since then, we have had a service call on the ice maker (which was not screwed into the mounting and fell so you couldnt open/close the freezer door). Today, the food was melted and the refrigerator warm. Lights and temp gauges showed it was working properly. Spent 45 minutes on the phone with Samsung to get authorization of warranty to call a local appliance man. Now they will not even give me a date when it might be fixed. They will call me when they are available to come to my home. Best guess is four days away as the soonest!!!The appliance is not worth the money, and the service and warranty are definitely not customer oriented! I am really scared with the previous reviews. I bought from Sears a Samsung microwave model SMH187S. Then we got the SE message and the constant sequences of 5 annoying beeps. I took the power off even for days hoping the computer will reset... negative. I went to internet where some people claimed cleaning the terminals will do it… negative. This is absurd, a microwave less than 3 years. I have to bring back from my garage a Whirlpool microwave, a very basic and inexpensive model that I have used for more than 10 years and it works well. I am upset with myself letting the Sears salesman convince me that Samsung was the best choice. Where is the government? Where is the customer protection of other times? Where is the respect? It should be an official recall. I will start talking to Samsung and if they ignore me, I will start a movement for a class action against Samsung. The biggest class actions always have started with one person. Arrogant companies that believed were invincible like Blockbuster, Pan Am, Motorola, AOL, Sears went down or are just going out of business. Samsung… beware.

We purchased a Samsung (Mod RF267AB) French door refrigerator, and within 18 months, we had issues with water pooling in the pan under the deli pullout drawer. Since we had an extended warranty through Lowes, we had it fixed. Since that time, the same problem has been fixed two more times with no success. (Each visit has been a different repair guy, so no commonality there.) The last time, the technician also adjusted the level and tilted the fridge back saying that may help it drain! Starting yesterday, the upper cooling fan has begun growling. I need to call Lowes service to get them out again, and of course, it’s also not draining again. When we originally researched the unit, we consulted the leading consumer products reporting magazines article on refrigerators at the time where it was a top rated model along with the GE model we looked at, which apparently was the same one manufactured by Samsung for GE. Im very disappointed by this experience and also by the ratings assigned by the consumer magazine.

After repeatedly trying to contact On-Time-Repair, I was informed since the machine is over 1 year old they had to get a confirmation from Samsung that the part is covered. I even told them Let me know how much it will cost if it is not covered but I have not received any response. It has been more than a month now. Bottom Line: Do not buy a Samsung Dishwasher. We bought the Samsung french door with lower pull out door freezer. We had trouble from the beginning getting it to maintain the correct temperature in the freezer portion of the refrigerator. We purchased the appliance through Home Depot and they sent the approved tech who replaced the digital sensors and panels. Still, the refrigerator did not get down to nor maintain the required temp.We had the repairman out again; they replace more items. We removed the ice maker altogether and no difference ensued. My husband went back to Home Depot yesterday asking that they replace this fairly expensive appliance and we were told that since the warranty had run out that they would not be replacing it. What does this mean? If we had not bought the warranty and just had them out over and over would it have forced a replacement? These digital display and sensor units are just not engineered well! We will not ever buy another and are thinking of looking for older refrigerators at vintage repair places. Apparently the idea is to get us used to expecting **, buying warranties and subsidizing the industry! !

My Samsung 24-inch dishwasher model DMT300RFS is less than three years old.
My Samsung 24-inch dishwasher model DMT300RFS is less than three years old. We have had problems with the dishes coming out of the dishwasher with ground-up food on them since day one. Recently we have been getting an error code for clogged drain also. I pulled the dishwasher into the middle of the kitchen floor, checked all plumbing and drain hose and found them clear. I ran the machine and found it was only discharging a small amount of water during the drain cycle. I removed the filter in the tub - clear. I removed the drain pump - clear. I checked the rubber check-valve upstream of the pump and found it cocked and stuck sideways. I freed it with my finger (it is in the molded plastic comprising the bottom of the tub). I reassembled the unit and operated it and it pumped like a banshee during the drain cycle. After running the machine a couple of times it started pumping only a trickle again. The check valve had become cocked and stuck again. What is happening is the check valve sticks open and when it hits the drain cycle, the drain pump pumps dirty water back into the dishwasher and only a trickle gets pumped to the sink drain. Dirty water stays in the tub and debris gets deposited back on the dishes during the rinse cycle. Because it takes so long to drain the tub, the machine thinks the drain is plugged and shuts down with a clogged drain issue. The part with the check valve in it is very expensive and (for me) would require a service technician to replace it, adding to the cost. To me, I will be better off replacing the unit. There are review after review on the internet complaining of these same problems (dirty dishes and error codes). It is my opinion that this problem is a design error as it is not possible to provide maintenance to the check valve. It is deep in the large plastic piece comprising the bottom of the tub.I hope this post helps others understand what is wrong with their machine.

We ordered a new Samsung dishwasher from AJ Madison. We ordered it, received it on 11/28/12. My husband installed it that night. The next evening, I loaded it, ran it and opened it. Soap was never released. I ran it again, and it was the same thing. The little door never popped open to release soap. I called the next morning. The girl from Samsung didnt really know why but theres a sensor & if its blocked, maybe it would not be released (she couldnt tell me where sensor was located). Now, its Sunday, 12/2/12. I ran it again, making sure there was nothing too tall or blocking - same thing. I called & a service call must be set up. This lady said the other person lied - there is no sensor, only for water level. She gave me the name of the service company & number. They would call the next day. The guy left his name & number. I tried several times to call him & the service company (the phone rings continuously & I cant leave voice mail). I called Samsung again - a lengthy call. It turns out its not that company. Its a different one. Dont you think I should be told this? They have my number, & I was told I should call them to set it up. We set up for Saturday. AJ Madison called & said they dont have a repair company that works on Saturdays & I had one for Monday. No one told me about that. Monday was not good for me. We called Samsung up . Well, we had to argue, of course, but some nice guy came on Saturday, 12/8/12, and said, The part is broken; it needs to be ordered & replaced (he doesnt have it in truck). When the part comes in, someone will come back & replace it. I ordered a new dishwasher - not a floor model, clearance center, or scratch & dent. Many, many, many phone calls to both Samsung (who is giving us the runaround) and AJ Madison (who is giving us the runaround) have left us with a broken new Samsung dishwasher which has only been used 3x and is broken from the start. I ordered this & think I should have some right to getting one that works the first time correctly (not broken). Im still washing by hand. Furthermore, we have offered AJ Madison to take it back & we are willing to spend more money w/ them & get something else (my husband is even willing to bring it to them). They will not do that if it can be repaired again. I ordered a new dishwasher - not a floor model or scratch & dent. We are extremely dissatisfied w/ both companies. I should have some right to get a properly working appliance for my money. We have been greatly affected by Hurricane Sandy with 4 & 1/2 ft water in our home. Now we have to argue & call daily for something that was defective. Give us a break.

2016 Samsung Black Stainless Steel Refrigerator - Let me be honest, I love the look and paid the extra money for it. What I dont like is listening to my fridge. Especially a repetitive extremely Loud POP noise throughout the night. Called Samsung, first they came and leveled the fridge - did not fix the problem! Called again then they sent a tech, showed me the fine print stating that the inner linings expand and contract during temperature changes creating this loud noise. My last fridge was half the price and didnt make any noise. This noise is not from the ice maker and not the ice dropping into the container that is reasonable and understandable. Let me put it in simple terms, If you were to take claw hammer and smack your hardwood floor with a good blow thats what it sounds like. What is really bad is you get to hear it throughout the day and worst in the middle of the night! You dont know if someone is breaking into your home or what. Very disturbing. We spent a lot of money for this. If I knew this model did this as nice as it looks I would have not bought it.To be fair to Samsung I own their Washer and dryer 3400.00 also a 1000.00 dishwasher and 1200.00 microwave and stove that we are very happy with. So now I have a great looking fridge that makes loud pop noises all day and all night about every hour. Its hard to believe this problem got through any quality control testing from Samsung before selling to the unknowing public. Its just not right and I hope this can be resolved. Help!

Not sure how they continue to sell consumer products with such pitiful follow up.

I have owned my refrigerator for less than a month. When it was delivered I noticed a small dent in it which the store compensated me $70 for. A week or so later I saw a small chip on the same door. This is a black stainless steel refrigerator that retails for about $1800 (RF261BDAESG). I went to the store and they told me to contact Samsung. I spoke with Samsung and they said they would send a technician out and gave me the company name. I was contacted by that company and told that if they came out and decided it was physical damage I would have to pay for the service call, $200. Also said that if I wanted it fixed it would cost up to $400. I have no intention of paying for any repair for an appliance thats less than a month old.First whats physical damage? If they mean that it was done by me how can that be determined? Whos to say it wasnt caused at the same time as the dent was made? Why would they sell a product that can seemingly be damaged so easily? I spent about 30 minutes on the phone after speaking with their service center trying to resolve this, as long as I dont pay. Im pretty sure they would say its my fault just to save Samsung money. My main concern is the lack of customer service from Samsung because I bought an entire kitchen suite. I purchased Samsung because I had always heard positive things about them but I can guarantee that I will do my best to dissuade anyone from purchasing any Samsung product.

Purchased a Samsung Model ME21H706MQS microwave oven and stove in October 2017. The microwave replaced a (what I thought was junk) Whirlpool microwave that was nine years old. The Samsung was higher above the stove and met all Samsung installation requirements. Thanksgiving Day comes, cooking for family and friends and the bottom of the microwave and door melts! We contacted Samsung many times, each time speaking to different people and on several occasions receiving different ticket numbers. All in all, they have a Samsung service company come to my home, but only after providing a very short notice and stating we must be home or the service will be void. Service rep comes and claims that its physical damage and is not covered by Samsung. Well hello! It melted! In short, customer service is absolutely terrible, Samsung does not stand behind their products, their follow-up via service reps is pressing and inconvenient. Terrible experience and would not recommend a Samsung product, nor will another ever enter my home.

Our family purchased a Samsung French Door refrigerator (RFF266-AEPN) in fall 2016. It was about $1,600 and looks nice. In February 2018 (after 12 months - when the warranty expired), we heard random beeping noises in the afternoon and evenings with the freezer temperature panel fluctuating wildly from -8F to 2F. I had a bad feeling when two high-quality appliance repair companies both refused to diagnose or fix ANY Samsung refrigerators. The Sears Appliance Service Company said the freezer fan was broken and that the replacement part was $650 in addition to a service installation fee ($150). So, now Im stuck with purchasing a brand new refrigerator in less than 2 years! Beware if you purchase a Samsung refrigerator. Im never going to buy a Samsung-brand refrigerator again.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator in May of 2015. We had it 2 days and it wasnt cooling, so Best Buy brought out a new refrigerator. That worked for 2 weeks and then the freezer was not cooling. Everything melted and we lost the food. Samsung did repair it. Now the refrigerator is 2 months beyond a year of purchase and the icemaker has failed. We have had a tech here twice, he did not know how to repair it. Finally Samsung sent a tech of their own. Multiple design problems with the icemaker confirmed by the tech. We are going to have to pay for the motor in the icemaker. I dont know the cost yet as he is working on it now but he said it is not cheap. Samsung refuses to stand behind this piece of junk refrigerator. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG!
