We purchased this refrigerator because it was a very good looking refrigerator and Samsung usually has good products. First thing we had the problem was the LED light on front of refrigerator stopped working. Next problem we had was so does freezing and other things freezing in the refrigerator. Next problem we had with this refrigerator is refrigerator and freezer both quit working. And after this was fixed the next problem is the refrigerator will not get cold. Keeps going from 60 degrees down to 40 and back up again. The best way we could find to solve the problem was to get rid of this piece of junk.

We have bought Samsung electronics for many years. In 2011 we bought all new kitchen appliances, top of the line Samsung. It is now 5 years later 2016 and we have a dishwasher that needs a new motor, the most expensive part approx $600.00. Now our fridge has leaked from the water dispenser and flooded our kitchen twice. It just starts pouring by itself. Of course this happened while we were not home and then again during the night. We thought the first time may have been a fluke but it was not. The electronics on the door stopped working. The replacement part at $400.00 did not work. We also have a leak inside from one of the vents in the back that leaks down the back and pools under the crispers. The tech at this point is not sure what is wrong with it. He now suspects the motherboard. The leak inside will require the whole inside back of the fridge being replaced. These repairs are going to make it not worth fixing. Of course Samsung says Im sorry there is only a 1 year warranty. They will do NOTHING. The appliances are barely 5 years old. How can they possibly not stand behind their products with problems such as this? We all know appliances last many many years with no problems. The tech we are using used to be a Samsung tech and reported how hard they make it to be a tech. The techs even complain about Samsung. I gave 1 star because you have to put something there but I feel less than zero. We will never buy Samsung appliances again. We also will question any further Samsung electronics. We spend so much money on Samsung from cell phones, tablets, tvs, etc. you would think they would do something to help us out. This is the thanks we get for being loyal customers for many years. We now have to buy a new fridge that will be around $2k if we are lucky. The dishwasher will have to be replaced. We have not had trouble out of the range or microwave yet, we hope we dont! What a way to have to spend your hard earned money. Again, we will never buy Samsung appliances again. Be careful because we have a Kenmore washing machine that is made by Samsung. Kenmore is not Kenmore any more. All you have to do is ask Sears, they will tell you. The appliance brands today are not what they say, you have to ask what company made the appliance. I have a beach property that I have recently bought a dishwasher, range, hot water heater and AC. The company I purchased the different items from say that there are a few manufacturers and then a name goes on the same thing with a few differences. Buyer beware!

Mine has a dial, should have gotten a keypad. Spinning a dial is a lot slower and less accurate. I do not have an instant setting either so I cant just push a button for 60 seconds. It is convenient having it mounted above the stove and saves a lot of space.

In 2010, we finally upgraded our appliances that we had for over fifteen years. Of course, the Samsung appliances came highly recommended. I did three months of research, even though there were many red flags and negative reviews about Samsung appliances. Thanksgiving 2011, the refrigerator began making a loud noise. Of course, the warranty has expired, but we have purchased extended warranty. So no problem, right? Wrong. The tech could not come until one week later. To make the story short, the issue was finally resolved in Christmas week. May, it’s the same problem. And now there’s an SE error code on the microwave, but no warranty. Samsung contacted a technician and he said it would cost $202.82, about the amount we spent on microwave. Needless to say, I would never buy another Samsung product again and will make sure to let anyone I know of the poor quality products they sell to us Americans who work hard for their money. I do, finally, have a question: if Samsung knows of the problems, why not resolve it before it becomes a class action suit?

I purchased a Samsung side by side refrigerator in August 2014, Model RF217ACPHN/XAA. In April 2016, the inside iced over and began making clunking noises. I called an appliance tech who replaced a burned out coil. In less than two months, the back of the refrigerator iced over again, and the tech made another house call to de-ice. In the meantime, the ice maker stopped working. The icing has become a problem again, and the tech says he needs a main control, which he has been unable to order. I contacted Customer Service at Samsung to inquire about purchasing the part, but have received no answer. I am now defrosting the appliance and should know tomorrow whether I need to replace it or not. If I do, you can be assured it will not be another Samsung product! NO MORE SAMSUNG FOR ME!

Samsung Model RF31FMEDBSR - Worst fridge ever. Icemaker has always frozen up. It definitely does not make the 10 pounds a day that they advertised and now the whole fridge is freezing up and not keeping our food properly cooled. I am very confident we have eaten spoiled or bad food because of the temp problems. The door says one thing but the actual temperature is much warmer. Customer service at Samsung was asking if the door was closed and other time-wasting questions.

Garbage. Ice maker never worked correctly. Shelves break. Door flapper broke. Freezer drawer slides blew out. Never cold enough. Freezer door handle pulled completely off. Freezer fills with 4 of ice on bottom and leaks water constantly. Ruined my floor. Threw away broken freezer sliding drawer. Always had to pull out and unplug to reset frozen electronic controls. Wasted plenty of food. Wish I had a bomber to drop it through factory roof. Just a complete waste of raw materials and food. Such junk and a waste of money. The only good thing about it is the arched front design which makes your reflective figure look better, while standing on a puddle smelling rotten food. Will bad mouth this company until the day I die. My Samsung tv sucks too.

If a 0 was available for rating I would rate Samsung with a 0... Never again will they have my business. I purchased my Range glasstop NE59J3420SS at Home Depot on April 2016. Not even a week I was cooking and heard a loud pop noise and removed my pot and saw that the glass was cracked. I immediately called Samsung and the conversation started nicely and was under the impression that they would fix it since the agent told me they would. I send pictures of the damage and of receipt of purchase. They told me they would call me... Never received a call from them. So I called a week later to see what was going on and they had closed my case because no pictures were received they said, which is bs. New agent created a new case number and had to resent everything. She said I had to wait for 3 days and they would call me with an appt sent up for a technician to come and look at it. Again never received a call so called them... They gave me the appt for the technician to come and thought he was gonna fix it. Instead he left with no answers to my questions so called Samsung back and they kept saying they would fix it. Waited and waited and waited and nothing from them. Called again to see what was going on and said again they would send a new technician to look at it. Dont know why. They already seen pictures. But the new technician that came was checking our oven which our oven was working and told him it was the cracked top not the oven and again left with no answers. I called them and said they would call me back. Again they never did. After weeks of waiting for their call I called them back and said it was physical damage and would not be covered. Wtf... Not even a ** week with it and still fully under warranty and they wouldnt fix it. This company is really a ** joke. I was calling them constantly for over 5 months to get this fixed for them to tell me at last that they would not fix it. Very disappointed and frustrated process to go thru with this company. Never ever again will be buying from them. And to make it worst Im still paying Home Depot for this???? PLEASE BE AWARE!!!

I would not recommend this refrigerator. The water dispenser leaked from day 1. I am constantly wiping the dispenser, refrigerator, and the floor. The water has stained the refrigerator. I am always stepping in a puddle. Now it is making a very loud noise and I think it has something to do with the ice maker. The long drawer in the refrigerator keeps coming off track. It is difficult to get back on track. Very annoying. The refrigerator is nice looking but definitely not worth the hassle.

I purchased 4 Samsung kitchen appliances August 1, 2014 when I moved into my retirement home. Since that time - within the first 18 months, my microwave had 4 service calls. Gratefully, I maintained my Home Warranty protection that was provided for the home and have renewed that warranty annually. The home warranty company ORHP - sent appliance technicians out and a Samsung certified technician who could not repair the microwave. Eventually, after 3 weeks they replaced the microwave with a Samsung upgraded unit. It is still working 2 years later. Now the refrigerator icemaker freezes up and I have to use a hair dryer monthly to defrost the ice build up in the icemaker box. The refrigerator is a French door model that has a flipper on the left door which locks in place that door when closing. It also broke. After reviewing some online videos, I ordered a small tension spring for $8 + shipping, popped the flipper bar apart, replaced the tension spring, and fixed the issue. Now, in September 2018, my dishwasher has broke not allowing the door to close and lock. The repair part is available and easily replaced so I had the home warranty company send out a tech who replaced the part on 9/12/18. On 9/23/18 after loading dishwasher after a BBQ with friends, the same problem re-appeared. To top that off, I recorded the dishwasher while in the rinsing and drying cycle so the tech can hear hit. I re-played the recording for my wife and daughter who thought I went to an airport and recorded a jet taking off or landing...the noise decibel level is high...My Samsung 5 burner stove - I find that the grates are not really safe and worry when the grandkids are at the home. When you put a frying pan or pot on the grates - they wobble until you position them just right. They are not made with enough cross members to support smaller pots or frying pans. On more than one occasion, I put an 8 frying pan on the grate to fry eggs and the pan just flops downward until the handle touches the stove or countertop. You need to counterbalance the pan with the eggs and position carefully. I am negotiating selling my 4 appliances to a relative to place into one of her rental homes and buying a completely different brand.

After only 15 months, the touch pad quit working. The #3 would not work but I thought I could live with the default setting. However, two days later, the oven will heat to temp then shut off. I have complained many times to Samsung about my expensive dishwasher which will not clean dishes. The first service call was because I had to keep flipping the breaker. The service man knew exactly what to replace when I told him about the breaker. He said it was a defect in this Samsung dishwasher. I have called numerous times concerning dirty dishes and they have a lousy excuse about aluminum causing it or phosphate being removed from detergents. I now have a dishwasher 3 months out of warranty that impellers do not spin and spray, fills and drains okay. Now I dont know what to do. Should I request an expensive service call? Or buy another dishwasher that has been recommended as great to clean dishes?

I purchased the stainless steel, refrigerator with french doors, bottom freezer, and ice maker. What a $1300.00 mistake!!! The ice maker has no regulator; so, it only stops making ice cubes when the container is so full that the cubes are spilling behind the freezer. Every time we open the freezer ice cubes slide out from under the door and spill all over kitchen floor. We are constantly wiping up melting cubes and there are always wet areas on the floor. I called Customer Service; I was told it was a design flaw and they are aware of it. Unfortunately, there is nothing they can do about it. Seems like an unacceptable answer doesnt it! I certainly wish I had known about this design flaw before making this purchase. Now I am stuck wiping ice cubes and water up every time I open my freezer. Thinking about buying a Samsung refrigerator think again, Question is - What is Samsung doing about the frozen drain line issue? Do you think that a customer wants a defective product? I dont want to defrost my system every so-often, plus with the Samsung name youd think they would do something. Im almost 4 hours in working basically for Samsung... BS! Contacted Samsung customer service and get what I expected, nowhere.. The customer service rep said this is a unknown issue, https://www.samsung.com/in/support/home-appliances/resolving-drainage-issues-in-samsung-refrigerators/. So, I sent that link to customer service rep... Then was told its out of warranty. Yea, I know I only have it for 1 1/2 year and have learned that I will be repeating this process about every 1-2 years. Luckily, I am a handy person and do not need a service call. If you have a Samsung refrigerator plan on a defrost cycle every couple years when water pools up under the tray thats a good sign to start eating up the food.. Then plan a weekend to shut it down.... What I learned is to stay to the basics. A simple refrigerator without all the crap, ice trays work fine, the sink for water and 2 doors. Oh and that smug free door. Yeah, wanna see a picture it aint smug free and its dame hard to clean it off too.. Venting over!

Stove #NX58H5600S - Purchased the range In January of 2016. Recently noticed that the oven floor had corrosion spots (rusting) as well as cracks in the enamel of the oven floor. I was quite disappointed since I mostly use the cooktop rather than the oven. It has not had a lot of use. I felt that the oven floor was defective. I contacted Samsung and was told to send pictures, so that the situation could be evaluated. I was then told to contact a service center in another state to have the oven evaluated at my cost. The service manager, after viewing the photos, (did not actually see the rust and cracking) stated that the problem was not a defect but cosmetic and physical damage. Since the stove was out of warranty, I would have to pay for the repair myself. Samsung does not stand behind their products. I would never buy one of their products again or recommend them to anyone.

I am sitting here one week after having our new Samsung dishwasher delivered and unable to install it because of a couple of brackets and screws that were not shipped with the unit. Upon delivery, the delivery company opened the box and we inspected for damage...none. That was great. We set it aside for installation later in the week, (after a new kitchen floor was to be installed.) When I proceeded to install today discovered that the included parts other than the kick plate were nowhere to be seen. Contacted Samsung... They directed me to the Samsung/Home Depot centre. Their answer “Sorry, not reported within 24 - 48 hours.” Are you kidding me? For the lack of a few parts costing less than $5 they would rather have me return it to Home Depot! I contacted the place of purchase and they replaced the range with the same model. I dont cook much and within a couple of weeks, I was once again trying to get rid of the marks on the range top. I used the cleaning product recommended, but it didnt do anything as far as making the top cleaner looking. I contacted the purchaser who couldnt do anything because it was more than 30 days after the purchase date. It was suggested that I contact Samsung. I did and was on the phone with them for over 60 minutes trying to get the range returned and replaced with a new model. Samsung transferred me 3 times. Bottom line is it is a cosmetic issue and they will service it but not replace the defective range. The range is listed as a single product and doesnt advertise it as the best cosmetic range, but the BEST stainless steel electric range. I ran into 2 other customers who had the same problem. Do you think there is a problem with the way the smooth top is manufactured? I would NEVER recommend a Samsung product to anyone. Apparently Samsung is not worried about customer satisfaction. Was told if it was something about customer education I would have to pay the service call. I dont think so.

I have a 2 year old Samsung French Door Refrigerator which leaks and when we pulled out the bottom drawer, the entire bottom of the refrigerator was full of moldy water. We contacted 1800SAMSUNG. They said the fridge is out of warranty and it is our problem. We tried to find a service rep in our area and it kept resetting. I just want to speak with someone who knows about the product so that my husband can fix it. We are retired and cannot afford to have someone come out.

I brought a Samsung side-by-side refrigerator from Lowes in NY and my evaporator fan start making a noise, then stopped working. It took 2 weeks before a Dial Appliance technician came to repair it. It is still not cooling properly and I cannot hear the fan working. When I called them, they say this is normal. Do they think that I am stupid? How could the unit not work the way it was when I bought it and they say it is normal. Calls to both Dial Appliance (718-368-1512) and Lowes (516-837-4057) say they will call me back but never do. What is Samsung doing about this? If they cannot make it work like before, they should replace it asap.

My dad, my brother, my father-in-law, and my brother-in-law told me not to go with Samsung, but I didnt listen. Now, Im paying the price. In less than 8mo Ive had 5 technician visits to attempt to fix my dishwasher. After 5 visits I finally got frustrated, and decided to call samsung to see if they would replace my dishwasher since its obviously defective. In short, their answer was no! First time the dishwasher broke was about 4mo after I purchased it. It would stop mid cycle with an error code which meant that it got too hot. That took 2 visits and as many weeks to repair. At the 7mo mark (July 1st), it stopped washing the dishes in the bottom rack properly. I contacted Samsung July 3rd. It’s July 24th and the dishwasher is still not repaired. Technician came out and said that he had to replace two parts, the bottom spray rail and the control panel. He had to order them. That was visit #3. Visit #4 was when he came to replace the parts. After a couple of hours of work the dishwasher was still not repaired. He said that there was another part broken, the motor that moves the rail. He’s suppose to come back Wednesday, July 29th. In the past 8mo, according to my count, 4 different parts have broken on Samsung’s “top of the line” dishwasher. I hope my review keeps someone from making the same mistake I made. moral of the story: listen to advice...do not buy samsung appliances. Theyre inferior quality. They look nice on the outside, but theyre garbage on the inside.

Originally posted earlier this month. Followed Samsungs advice and defrosted refrigerator for 36 hours, with fan blowing on it. Checked to make sure all ice buildup had cleared. Turned on, ran fine, icemaker even working again. Now several days later, ice maker is stopping and probably means another complete defrost. Do not buy Samsung Refrigerators, ITS ALL OVER THE INTERNET ABOUT HOW PEOPLE ARE HAVING SAME PROBLEM WITH ICING UP AND NOISE. They dont seem to have a fix. Terrible, 5 years old $2000+ refrigerator and nothing but problems.Updated on 06/16/2018: I have contacted Samsung and searched the web. My 5 yr old refrigerator keeps freezing up and the fan starts making a loud noise. Only resolution Samsung has offered is to defrost the refrigerator. Really, its a self defrosting, yet now we have to unload and let it thaw out 2-3 times a year. This problem with their refrigerators is noted by numerous people on the internet, yet Samsung offers no remedy and it appears this problem occurs with many of their refrigerators going back several years. This company is selling numerous refrigerators and should fix the problem or offer real solution.

I built a new house a little over two years ago. Between the kitchen and laundry appliances, I spent around $6500. Before the one-year warranty was up, the ice maker in the fridge crapped out. I had to get Best Buy to replace the unit as the Samsung repair people didnt want to travel out to where Im located (only about 35 miles). Then after the warranties expired, the washer has an issue - not too bad - a wire fell off the motor. Cost me $159. Now the dishwasher pump burn up - $440 to fix this. Repair guy told me that the pods I have been using, the plastic shell pieces apparently do not melt and pieces collect in a screen that the water goes through that cools the pump. The screen is apparently fine than most units. Sound like a design flaw. After buying all these appliances and having three issues already, one would think the manufacturer would stand behind their products. Nope, no help at all. No more Samsung products for me.

Recently we smelled smoke in our house, traced to refrigerator. When pulled out, a square scorched mark was left on floor and refrigerator was not operating. After several calls to Samsung, spoke to friendly women whose only response was, Your refrigerator is out of warranty, I can send a service person at your cost. If we were not home at the time, our home could have burned down, and their response is, Were sorry but you are out of warranty. When asked if they would like to see photos of scorched floor, her response was You can send them if you like. Very disappointed since we have all Samsung kitchen appliances and TV.

The Samsung French doors, freezer on bottom refrigerator sometimes keeps things cold, and sometimes doesnt. The temperature read-out always, always says 37 degrees F, but thats not true. The compressor overheats causing ice build-up in the vents, causing the temperature to rise even though it still says 37 degrees! Food must be removed and the fridge thawed. This has happened multiple times over the course of three years! This is not just a one in a million lemon. This is a DEFECT that others have experienced, and Samsung is aware of it. Do not buy a Samsung refrigerator. You will regret it. The fridge was purchased in 2014 for a little more than $2,000. Waste of money.

I bought a Samsung Refrigerator model #RF263BEAESR 2.5 years ago. It was over $2,500.00. It has had very light use and out of the blue the freezer stopped working. Called Samsung and they sent technician to diagnose. Cost $125 for them to tell me the compressor has stopped working. After many emails back and forth and telephone calls to Samsung - most can hardly speak English, Samsung will pay for the part but NOT the labour. The labour costs are estimated at $900 to install the compressor. Really Samsung. Thats how you back your products? No one expects a fridge to only last 2.5 years. Never will I buy Samsung again. Its just a scam. These new appliances from Samsung just dont last and when a part goes unexpectedly they do not back up their product. They want you to buy a new one because in the end its probably cheaper. Well I may be buying a new fridge but it wont be a Samsung.

We bought Samsung side by around May 2012. It has had several issues beginning almost immediately. The front panel went out twice and during the second time all the food spoiled. The technician had the nerve to say it was our fault because someone had to hold the buttons on the panel for it to go off. When I told him we were sleeping and woke up to this issue, he called us liars. Then a few months later this crappy appliance began making a horrible noise. This time a motor had to be replaced. So for two days we had to defrost it, so no food in our house for 4 days (2 to defrost/ 2 to get cold enough for food). So today, not even 3 years later, a tech came out and said the entire rear panel of the freezer and all components behind it need to be replaced. When is enough, enough? We are so angry they just wont replace this crappy Samsung refrigerator. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG APPLIANCE!!!

I cant say enough how horrible our experience has been with these products. Refrigerator doesnt get cold enough, ss finish is terrible, microwave fogs up on glass in door and told thats normal. Range has been a nightmare. Electric stove top is terrible, uneven heat, burns, no heat, burns, no heat. Info panel sometimes lights up half, meat probe does not work, oven door locks on its own. Called for repair. Replaced info panel. Now burners turn on by themselves to high heat! Had to pull stove out and unplug as it would not turn off. One side of panel gets burning hot. Too long of a list to go on.Customer service is a joke. On hold an average of 1 hour with a continual loop of telling you to get on website to schedule repair. Website is no help. Get on live chat, 45 minutes waiting for response. Nothing. Call back, one hour wait on hold. Finally to be told, someone will call me in 1 or 2 days. I cannot have their phone no. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH EVERYTHING. JUST HORRIBLE. Plan on taking days off of work to schedule and to have repaired. Appts are a joke. Someone will call in morning to tell you about when they may be there. HORRIBLE.

We bought this dishwasher February 1 of last year and it failed February 3rd of this year - two days after the warranty expired. I am absolutely furious in part because it barely lasted 1 year and that I just mailed my last payment. Samsung support was absolutely no help other than to contact a local repair person. The repair people graciously offered me a price of $150.00 to diagnose this POS plus parts. Japanese companies used to be committed to quality but obviously not when it comes to appliances. Id love to send this unit to their corporate headquarters with a letter telling them exactly how I feel about their product. We also purchased a refrigerator at the same time and as you can imagine, Im praying its made better than their dishwashers. I now have a beautiful piece of junk. Ill be looking for a different manufacturer and will NEVER buy anything Samsung again. This is my first and LAST purchase of their products. I have the Samsung RF267AEBP purchased from Sears ($2,100+) 01/02/2011. Shortly after the basic 1-year warranty ran out, the unit began routinely freezing up due to the known failure of the defrost cycle and/or heating coils and sensors malfunctioning. When the ice builds up over time, it locks up the fan motor from the glacier of ice (sounds horrible like a screech owl). Like others on this post and all over the Internet, I have to force the RF267AEBP into a manual defrost; when the ice melts, it fills the space under the Deli/Crisper drawer with water. The first time this happened, we did not realize that the ice could not drain normally due to a defective drain (Note: The defrost water drain has been reported to be too short to drain properly after the refrigerator goes through a defrost cycle). So, after turning the unit back on, the backed up water that pools under the Deli/Crisper drawer freezes into a solid two feet by one inch sheet of ice! Not knowing what was going on, we could not get the Deli/Crisper opened without pulling very hard on it and that brought the entire sheet of ice out and onto the kitchen floor, creating one big dangerous mess! Now, the ice maker is making loud clicking and banging sounds, and the ice maker has malfunctioned too with inconsistent delivery of odd sized ice cubes (more like chunks of ice) and it, too, now freezes up. We have regularly replaced the filter (@ $30+ each) that does basically nothing but filter water for the ice maker and the water dispenser. This has been the most frustrating and expensive major appliance ownership experience I have ever had with a major appliance in over 40+ years of home ownership.Samsung, you should provide us customers that have suffered through the purchase and repair of this known defective refrigerator full refunds for these known manufacturer defective refrigerators and/or provide a totally brand new replacement of equal value regardless of the customer’s choice. This is an expensive major appliance and we should not be having these problems that are clearly a quality control problem of widespread proportions. If I am not contacted by your warranty and customer relations department with a satisfactory resolution, I will be forced to sign on to the class action suit and add my model to the long and growing list of models already posted on the website. I will also have my day in small claims court for not just the cost of the defective refrigerator, but also for the spoiled food cost of replacement, labor and repair cost, and my lost work/wages due to having to take off work to deal with the overall malfunctioning of your Samsung RF267AEBP.By the way, my paperwork from Samsung that came with my refrigerator clearly states, Your Satisfaction is Samsungs # 1 Priority - Do not return to store. Well, Samsung, here is your opportunity to step up and simply do the right thing, especially since you are on record claiming that my satisfaction is Samsungs #1 priority.

4 door Samsung Refrigerator Samsung RF23J9011 - Bought this fridge in July 2016 brand new from HH Gregg. A year and half later (Dec. 2017) the refrigerator portion of the fridge stopped working. It was 2 weeks before someone could come look at it. Samsung used a company called MetroTech. I had to pay 90.00 for an assessment and wait another 2 weeks for a part. The problem was with the seal which was covered under warranty as a defect. 2 weeks turned into 3 and the part was installed but it did not fix the problem. So Metrotech advised Samsung to replace the unit which they refused until Metrotech put in another part. Another 2 weeks of waiting and Metrotech put in the part. Upon doing so the inside panel of the fridge was damaged. Plus this did not fix the problem. The 4th time Samsung sent Metrotech out, Metrotech advised Samsung to replace the unit. A unit Exchange process was put in. When I called Samsung they told me they needed a certificate of ownership. I do not have this as it was still being paid for however, the account was in my deceased spouses name financed through Synchrony bank. HH Greg went out of business. Synchrony bank will not let me pay for the fridge because they filed a claim against the remaining balance in probate - even though I tried to pay for it. Probate will not end until sometime in May. Samsung will not replace the defective fridge without it showing the fridge is paid for. I do not know what to do? I think this is horrible and will never buy another Samsung product. EVER.

Samsung Refrigerator RF28HFEDBBC/AA- This refrigerator has problems with the ice maker. Ice builds up on the interior of the ice maker and has to be cleared at least once a month. The ice comes out wet and the dispenser in the door leaks water continuously. There is also a problem with water leaking into the bottom of the refrigerator and then freezing so you cannot easily pull out your meat drawer. Samsung claims no issues with the unit but from what I see on the internet that is not accurate.Attached is their response: Thank you for contacting Samsung. I see that the ice maker is not freezing, and ice builds up at the top of the unit and cubes come out wet. Also, the water is leaking and filling the reservoir in the door. I know how bothering this issue could be. Samsung does strive to produce quality products and provide best service. However, your experience doesnt reflect this. Samsung products are designed by dedicated and skilled engineers after extensive technical research. We dont have any reported issues with this refrigerator model. Its disheartening to know that you are experiencing these issues. We dont like to see our customers unhappy or inconvenienced; however, Samsung provides 12 months of warranty from the date of purchase. If your refrigerator is out of warranty, you have to pay for the service.A service request was filed for this issue and it was cancelled, as there was no service center available in your area. Since your refrigerator is out of warranty, you may get it repaired locally at your discretion. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. This is what I received from them. Interesting fact I already had the ice maker looked at during warranty and there is a service center in my area. So they dont support the product and dont know who they have in the area to repair the product. Do not buy Samsung refrigerators. No support.

This fridge worked fine for about 2 years then something went haywire. It took Sears five trips to finally send a repair tech who was competent to properly diagnose the problem. The first tech diagnosed the (wrong) problem and charged me $357. That didnt fix it, so a new tech showed up and made a new diagnosis, and ordered another part. It was the wrong part, so another part had to be ordered. In the meantime, I dont have a working refrigerator so bought a 30-year-old $85 beater that does work. Luckily there was room to set it up in the dining area. Sears sent a third tech who said the initial diagnosis was wrong so ordered a new part -- but this tech then said he wouldnt plug the fridge back in because the outlet wasnt grounded. I called an electrician who charged me $75 to say yes it is grounded (which I was pretty sure was the case). Finally a tech showed up and properly diagnosed the problem, at the cost of $272. The tech said Sears would credit my credit card $85 for the difference between the right and wrong parts. Sears has not billed me for the $272 but they also have not refunded me the $85 for the overcharge. I have called them also asking to be reimbursed for these items: the $85 fridge I was forced to buy due to their technicians continued incompetence, $75 for the unneeded electrician service call, $100 that I felt obliged to offer the tenants living in the house to take off their rent because this entire process took two months to find a competent Sears service tech. I will never again buy an appliance from Sears and sure as heck wont call them to service this fridge the next time it has a problem (and Im keeping the $85 beater in the garage just in case).

Purchased a Samsung French Door Refrigerator in May of 2009. I did not purchase the extended warranty. In 2010 the motor and the entire back of the frig froze up causing the frig to stop working. The repairmen replaced the motor and charged $500. Then in 2012 it did the same thing. They came out, repaired it and said it was because the door was not closed properly. Repaired it again for $289. Last week it happened again. The repairman came out and said there were 3 errors. Replaced the board and overnight the board fried and the frig stopped working again. Another $300. We paid $1756.26 when we purchased it and have spent over $1000 for repairs putting a non working frig in the almost $3000 range. I will Never purchase another Samsung refrigerator again as it appears there are thousands of people who have the same problem and never gets rectified. I will be reporting this to Consumer reports. Letting them know that Samsung does not hold up to keeping their customers happy. I will be receiving a copy of my receipt from Lowes in approximately 1 Month to add to the verified buyer format. Also, the placement of the ice maker is a poor choice.

Samsung RF266 side by side fridge from Sears. The fridge also made a horrible sound in the back of the fridge. The motherboard had to be replaced 3 times. Warranty was over after the 1st panel was replaced. Samsung said theyd cover the parts but we have to pay for the labor to fix something that was already fixed by them under warranty thats broken. Horrible, horrible product. Consumers DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. Expect to be ripped off. A small plastic bracket that supports the upper ice maker in my french door
A small plastic bracket that supports the upper ice maker in my french door refrigerator (RF 323TEDBSR) broke. I have spent more than two months with Samsungs official parts department, J & J International, Inc. trying to obtain the part. Initially they told me that the part I needed was the assembly case and auger motor. I couldnt believe it but they swore it was an integrated part. I ordered it to the tune of $175. When it arrived I took it out and it was immediately clear that it was the wrong part. So I called and received a Return Authorization number. I was told that I would receive a shipping label by email. After a week, I called again and was told that it hadnt come to me because they only make these labels up on Wednesdays! I was instructed to wait a few more days. I did, no label. I called again and was told that they had misspelled my email address and would send it again within the hour. I waited two days and contacted on-line customer service. They also told me that my email was misspelled (what, again?) that they had spelled office with two Is instead of two fs. Customer service told me that they had alerted the proper person to the problem. When I asked for that persons information, I was told that it doesnt speak to the public. Nice!Oh, the reason they authorized the return is that the bracket, which is held in place by three small screws is a non-serviceable part because it was installed before the case was foamed in for insulation. They might as well have told me that there was no such part in my refrigerator. They think that they can give you an stupid excuse. Actually, it is a piece of plastic, the size of my hand, that weighs about two ounces. Worth two dollars at most but Id gladly pay $20 because, without it, I have no upper ice maker. I have been in touch with Samsungs Executive Offices to no avail. A company that doesnt support its own products should be forced out of business. I bought this refrigerator from Lowes. I think they should consider the effect on their customers by continuing to advertise and sell this garbage. No more for me.

Hoping to get a different brand. Samsung stoves are complete garbage.

I purchased a Samsung Dishwasher at Lowes less than 4 months ago. Started having problems. Called my very unhelpful Samsung warranty people. All I got was the runaround. The part that holds the seal in place has come off and it leaks on the floor. They told me that they would send a repairman out and told me that I would have to pay for the service call and that the part was a cosmetic issue and that it is not covered by their so-called warranty that is not worth blowing my nose on it. If there is anyone wanting to do a class action lawsuit I am in. I will never buy a Samsung product as long as I live. Lowes Home Improvement was not any help. I will never spend any of my hard earned money at Lowes ever again.

I bought a beautiful Samsung refrigerator in July. It has water/ice on the door and a second climate drawer. Laid out perfectly - plenty of storage. In August, we noticed it was leaking water under the filter so we replaced the filter and it didnt improve. We turned off the water to the fridge and the leak continued. We called a repairman, through Samsung, and waited a couple of days for him to come. He diagnosed a broken valve and had to order a replacement part that he thought would take 8-10 days. When I hadnt heard back in 3 weeks, I called the repair company and they said the part was back ordered. They suggested I contact Samsung to get an estimated delivery time. Thus began 6 weeks of me contacting Samsung, spending hours on the phone, asking the same question, repeating the same story to every person I spoke with. Finally, I could stand it no longer and begged to be escalated. I finally found out there was no estimated time - no one knew if this part would ever be available. In the meantime, I have to daily mop up the water that comes out and floods under the produce bins; the second drawer is not usable because the water fills it and freezes. It ruins any food packaging. The water also spills out the drawers onto the floors and my hardwood floors are now damaged. I was escalated to Jaz. What a disappointment. She ignored my calls for days and only finally tried to speak with me when I hit 0 from her voice mail and begged another rep to help me. This lady definitely needs additional training in handling angry customers. She ultimately offered to swap the fridge, a frustrating process because we have a small opening and in your newer model of this fridge, youve added side vents that arent included in the specs and wont fit the opening. We finally came to a solution on October 31 and she 100% guaranteed that the new fridge would arrive on November 14 at the latest. On November 17th, I called at the end of the day to say I still hadnt received the fridge, not that I was surprised at this point. She committed to getting back to me once she found out where it was. She left me a message at noon the following day to say that the fridge was with a local delivery company and she would call back when she had a time estimate. I called again today, November 19, and left another message. Its been almost 3 months since I could use my fridge properly. I still have to mop up the leaking water and theres a whole section of the fridge I cant even put food in, not to mention no ice or water. She did offer me $150 as repayment for food spoilage, but I have not seen hide nor hair of that either. This is the WORST experience Ive ever had with an electronics manufacturer and I still have no idea when it will be resolved.

I required 3 repairs but naturally excuses were made as to why it wasnt covered under the warranty. I now have another leakage error, as usual, which is not covered. I get approximately 2 months after each repair before it breaks down again. Also the stainless steel face rusted after less than 6 months which is not covered as it is cosmetic. We purchased the Samsung induction range 4 years ago. Thankfully we bought the extended warranty as weve used it no less than 5 times so far. Weve basically had the entire stove rebuilt as the oven temperature doesnt hold well owing to issues with (1) the fans; (2) the sensors; (3) the motherboard/control panel. Most recently the top of our range cracked as well. This is an incredibly low quality company both in terms of their products and their service. I would NEVER buy another samsung appliance and would caution anyone about buying one if youre seeking to have it last more than 1-2 years. If youre intent on buying one, buy any and all extended warranties available as you will absolutely need them.

I bought this for my 2yr old Rottweiler, Tika. She loves watching Animal Planet, but I don't feel comfortable sharing the one located in our grand cinema room anymore since she growled at me aggressively when I tried to change the channel last time. They say compromise is the secret to any relationship ( including your pets), so the solution was actually really really simple: purchase the same TV again for her room. As a satisfied customer, I can now safely watch my football and my dog can continue to discover her true roots, and how humankind has bread her species over generations into a docile commodity you can put a leash on and assign a name to. Overall, it's a great TV. I was seriously considering a Christie projector at first, but the cost of ownership was a little too high for me (e.g. bulbs and maintenance).

We purchased Samsung Model RS277AC April 2010 for $1500.00. July 2014 the bottom freezer drawer was hard to pull out and we realized it was stuck by a build up of ice under it. Kept getting more and more ice so we called Samsung they recommended we call Consolidated Electronics on September 24, 2014. Service man told us he knew what the problem was when we told him about the bottom drawer frozen to bottom. Charged $149.00 for a 5 minute visit. He would have to order the heater element and it would cost $30. He said that the heater element touches the inside of the back panel and this will happen again because of a design flaw with the back panel and Samsung has corrected it on the new models! Came back with the heater and said did not need it and defrosted the freezer, put it back together and charged us another $45.00 and within three hours there was a build up of ice in the bottom of the freezer so we cannot use the drawer for storage. NEVER purchase a Samsung appliance!

Another technician came this time but instead of fixing it, he blamed on the height adjustment screw removal and thats why the washer was leaking. What kind of ridiculous excuse is that because its not even related!? Bought a Samsung over-the-range microwave from Sears. It came damaged with some dents. We figured it wasnt a big deal, we had waited months and went through a lost order hassle with Sears just to get the microwave, so we accepted what we got and installed it. Within a week of using the microwave, it started making a loud, screeching noise whenever we used it. We contacted Sears and were routed over to Samsung.Samsung said they cant replace/refund the microwave because you have to report damage within 48 hours of receiving the microwave. Good to know for the future, but I wont be buying from them ever again. This has been an almost 4 month back-and-forth between me, Sears, and Samsung. They are willing to send out a repairman to try and fix the loud sound, but they wont do anything about the exterior damage to the microwave. They gave me a service order number for the repair service and advised I call them to make an appointment so they can see about fixing the noise. I called the repair service and found out... oh, they dont service microwaves anymore. So now I have to call back Samsung and start the process all over again. I will never again buy a Samsung, not a fridge, not a microwave, not a TV or a phone. Never again. Same goes for Sears. At this point Im considering eating the cost of the microwave and throwing it out just so I dont have to deal with them anymore.

Two delivered within 30 days, and both had a computer issue: I purchased the 25.6 cubic foot French door Samsung refrigerator in November 2012. I had been told by salesmen at two different stores that Samsung was the best refrigerator you could buy. I took their word for it and stopped looking at any other brands. When my fridge was delivered and set up, the delivery man said he was pushing the power freeze button to cool it off quickly so I could put my food back in. He mentioned that it would go off on its own once it had cooled down. I noticed that it stayed on -8 degrees for day. I kept thinking there was a problem with the freezer temperature setting. Finally, I called Samsung and was told that if I unplugged it and plugged it back it, that would take care of the problem. Instead, it plummeted to -8 again, although the freezer was set on 0. I finally figured out that the power freeze button was not turning itself off like it should. Samsung says it should stay on approximately 1 1/2 hour then shut off. Feeling like I had purchased a lemon, I requested a different one. The store very graciously brought out another new refrigerator. After the delivery men left, the first thing I did was push power freeze to see what happened. Would you believe that it also never went off? Wondering if other people had experienced the same thing, I searched on the internet and found this forum. I am so grateful to have found out the problems that exist with Samsung refrigerators before my 30 days are up. I now have 5 days left to request it to be picked up and my money returned. I have also talked with a few servicemen who have told me that they would never own a Samsung. I will say that the look and feel of the Samsung is wonderful. I dont think it will be possible to find any other brand that I like better as far as the inside set up, durable feeling of the shelves and bins; but looking pretty isnt worth anything if it isnt reliable.

We purchased our Samsung French door refrigerator from Lowe’s. I thought I had done research. Every single piece of plastic in this refrigerator is cracking or has already broken. We are not rough on our appliances. Despite the care that we use, every door been has been replaced twice. I currently have no door bins to use. Any indication that there is too much weight in the Dawbin is undermined by the fact that they are “designed to hold a gallon of milk“. I cannot even keep condiments in the door bins without cracking. The freezer bins have cracked at the joints. The refrigerator is also designed that is difficult to take apart to clean should there be a spill. This is a the worst product I have ever purchased.

Bought brand new on 8/9/2013, within the first 6 months the ice maker quit working and we could not open the ice maker. Samsung said it was due to a defective motherboard. Fridge was under warranty, they fixed it no problem. New this last week 10/5/2016 the fridge will not stay cold. It stays about 52 degrees. The freezer works fine, but the fridge not so much. Tried resetting the fridge like they said, power cooled it for 24 hours and its still not cold. Called Best Buy because thats where we bought it and they are usually pretty quick to repair, they said that THIS fridge has a reported compressor issue. If the compressor is bad, it can NOT be fixed and the whole unit will have to be replaced. I have to wait until tomorrow to contact Samsung Repair. Has anyone else had this issue? I am thoroughly irritated that this is the 2nd issue for this fridge, which is just now 3 years and 2 months old. Ridiculous! For the amount of money spent on the unit, this is not acceptable.

I do not typically do product reviews but after seeing a rash of Samsung refrigerator ads on TV I felt compelled to respond. We needed a new refrigerator after our 15 year old GE started having problems. We found a nice looking french door style Samsung with a middle drawer for refrigerated items, freezer drawer at the bottom, water and ice dispenser, all the whistles and bells - in fact more whistles and bells than we had ever seen before. We have four Samsung TVs that all work great so we decided to give Samsung refrigerators a try - VERY BAD DECISION. The ice/water dispenser stopped working and none of our local repair people knew how to repair Samsung refrigeration products. Entering the model and serial number into the Samsung website in order to locate a Samsung repair person proved very difficult - not user friendly. We finally got the ice maker repaired but ice cubes still get stuck coming out of the dispenser and we have to completely empty the freezer about every four month and chip out the ice buildup in the bottom of the freezer, otherwise it gets increasingly difficult to open and shut the freezer door. About every two months the handle literally comes loose from the freezer drawer and I have to find the correct size Allen wrench to reattach the handle. Finally, the bottom of the middle plastic drawer for refrigerated items cracked. I dont think we every loaded it with anything unduly heavy - it just appears to be very thin plastic and it cracked. My next refrigerator will not be a Samsung.

We purchased a package deal at hhgregg in November 2015 including a Microwave Oven, Refrigerator, Dishwasher, and Gas Range. We are not at all satisfied with the range. We had the range service twice in August 2016 due to inaccurate temperature control. Each time they replaced the thermostat, and the also the control board on the second visit.Believing this was an anomaly and no need purchase an extended warranty, we let the warranty expire in November. In February 2017, we began to experience the same issues. The temperature would not stay within the prescribed/published range, the oven would not light when following the proper use methods, and despite following the directions in the manual, the problem persisted. We contact the service department and they sent a tech on March 2, 2017. He had never seen the problem we were experiencing before, contacted tech support and they told him to replace the control board. So now I must wait another week for the board to arrive and be installed. The warranty is expired and despite my protest that they replace the board in August, and it correct failure should be covered, they refuse to do so. Now it cost me $90 for the assessment and another $90 for the next installation service call plus the $150-$200 for the board. When I contacted Samsung they said sorry, nothing they could do. So my message to Samsung, Go to hell. I will bad mouth your product line until I take my last breath. Planned obsolescence is no way to build a future in the U.S. market. We are not fools.

The angering part is that it took the very nice repairman about 15 to 20 minutes total to switch out the part and correct the issue. The total cost of the part was $33.61. I was charged $135 plus tax for about 20 minutes of labor. This seems like a common error and since this is the case, why doesnt Samsung provide some sort of discount since their product is defective? Samsung should stand behind their products and offer customers experiencing the SE error some sort of discount or no charge for 20 minutes of labor!

I remodeled my entire kitchen and wanted the best appliances. Samsung came highly recommended at the time. I purchased the stainless steel refrigerator, range, dishwasher and microwave. I purchased an additional warranty on everything except the microwave because I have had cheap microwaves in the past that last more than 15 years. Who would have known, 16 months later, the microwave would be the first to give me problems. I started receiving this error code SE and the manual states to unplug it and plug it back in. Well, I tried that several times and it did not resolve the issue. Finally, I called Samsung and was told that a service repair person would need to come out. Never once told I would have to pay for someone to come out and check it. When I received my call back, I was told there is a $90+ charge just for someone to come out and if parts are needed, I would have to pay for the parts and repair. I am so frustrated right now for a microwave, not just any microwave but a Samsung microwave to break down after just 16 months. Well, when I asked approximately how much would it cost to repair the microwave, I was told it depends on if they had to order a part and if so, what part. I am sure that this is not the first time anyone received this error code and surely someone from Samsung (the maker) can tell me what the problem is and approximate cost, right? I feel it is very unfair to pay and have someone come out to tell you that it will cost hundreds to repair, potentially paying more than I paid for the microwave. All I want to know is for other repairs related to this error code, what is the approximate cost and I will never refer anyone to purchase a Samsung appliance.
