We purchased our French Door Refrigerator (Model RF4267HABP) Dec./2011 from Lowes Home Improvement. Within the first year we started noticing rust on the front door near the ice maker and the door. The Lowes repairman told us since it was cosmetic it wasnt covered under warranty. We would have to pay a large amount to replace the front door panel. Why do this if they cant fix the problem that is causing the issue? The repairman basically told us to not use the crushed ice option. WHAT? Why own an ice maker if you cant use the crushed ice? They are now telling me that they havent seen this issue in the database so they dont think its an issue.

My previous refrigerators lasted 15 years without one problem. This Samsung lasted less than 2 years before we had to pay for a new defrost timer. Now, less than another 2 years has past and it is broken again. We do not even live in a hot area! We live high in the mountains... what a piece of crap. Never buy Samsung refrigerators. They are junk. They should stick to TVs. My TV has been flawless for 10 years.

I had the vent fan working on my microwave (which is an above range microwave) because I had a stew pot cooking on the range. Supposedly this will help keep condensation down. When I went to check my pot on the range the fan on the microwave had quit and I was getting a code 5 E on the display. I have since learned code 5 E means the keyboard on the microwave has quit due to condensation in the wiring of the microwave. My question to Samsung is...why didnt you take care of this problem before selling me an above range microwave? Did you think through the problem of condensation? Very disappointed in SAMSUNG.

Love the convection oven, but the glass cook top is horrible. You can not regulate the heat. Its always very hot and the knobs turn on super easy. If you barely bump one then you end up melting something or getting burned because you dont realize it came on. Very hard to clean the top and cannot get stains or heat marks off of it.

Samsung otr microwave smh9207st is very dangerous and should be recalled. It had the door replaced twice and almost every holiday while I was cooking on the stove the steam rose and if the microwave was turned on it died like it isnt sealed properly. I think it was the third time it actually caught on fire and the magnetron and numerous parts were replaced free of charge with the promise if it failed again it would be replaced with no problems. When it died again they did not replace it - they repaired it again. When it died again they admitted they had it on record it was supposed to be replaced but refused to. They would pay for the magnetron but that was it. I would be responsible for the labor and any other parts. The repair service visit for the fire the repairman had just left a place not 20 miles from me for the same microwave catching on fire. I wanted to share my experience because I believe someone might truly get hurt by this product. I will not repair this again for the fear of burning my house down. I will never buy one of their products again because I have found they do not care if it is dangerous. They should recall and discontinue making it.

French door refrigerator. The worst hunk of junk second fridge in 5 years. First ice maker fan was replaced twice. Then the icing started in ice maker has to be cleaned every 2 weeks. Then behind panel in fridge loud fan noise. Service man came out 4 times to clean ice build up and replace heat element in drain. Well can you believe it did not work. So now I get to empty the fridge every 3 weeks, take the panel off to clean all the ice out around the fan and build up on the lines. The sad part is they know all about these problems and do nothing. Would never buy another Samsung again. Thank you Samsung for giving me some extra work to do every month.

The display on our electric range started to flicker. Sure Samsung offers a repair and warranty program, but who in the HELL cant wait for 4 months until a service technician shows up? Steer clear. Also bought above the range microwave and a matching dishwasher. All have had similar issues. I will never purchase another Samsung appliance. I would rather build a fire outside to cook on than purchasing a new range from them!!!!

Purchased a Samsung refrigerator, Model # RF217ACBP in July 2012. Within 6 months, the ice maker broke and there would be huge amounts of water sitting in the produce bins. Had the ice maker replaced by the Sears tech and just emptied water from bins. Then, 1 month after warranty expired, the fridge started making a loud noise and would not ever stop. The 6 cooling vents in the refrigerator ice up and the temp is about 50 degrees causing all the food to spoil. I have unplugged it and defrosted it numerous times but within a week or two, it ices up again and all food is lost. I contacted Sears, where we purchased it and asked why they carry and sell a product that is obviously defective. They gave me a number to call for Samsung. Called them and they said that it was covered by them for 5 years but I would have to pay for the first service call but everything after that was covered. In reading ALL of the complaints online, I learned that to fix the problem was approx $500 and that only lasts for a short time until the problem returns. This Samsung product should be recalled since there are thousands of complaints regarding the same issue. We dont have a lot of money and a refrigerator that is less than 2 years old should not have a problem that is obviously a design flaw that does not have a permanent fix or repair. I have called local repairmen and none of them want to work on it because they know it cant be fixed and do not want to pit their reputation on the line. How can something like this with the magnitude of complaints not be addressed?

Warning! Do not waste your money purchasing this colossal pile of garbage (5.8 cu. ft. Slide-In Induction Chef Collection Range NE58H9970WS). It rarely bakes/cooks evenly and it will frequently and rapidly overheat causing your food to burn and ultimately fry the electrical panel. Upon calling Samsung the only assistance they were able to provide was how to spend more of my money on their faulty product. Samsung takes zero responsibility for what is clearly a common issue with these oven ranges. As it stands my options are to spend $$ on a new electrical panel and the cost incurred on its installation and the additional fix-it repair to stop the oven from constantly overheating, or throw the darn thing away. Im going with the latter of the two. I will never purchase anything from Samsung again. If I could give is NEGATIVE STARS I would.

After leaving us for 12 days without a working refrigerator and 3 cancelled service calls someone showed up to replace the door that was sent to them directly by Samsung. Quit cooling. The back of the refrigerator ices up and leaks unsanitary water down into crisper, meat bin, the ice maker, and freezer drawers. Cannot find water filter to replace it. The filter replacement light has been on for years. I looked at the back of fridge and in front. The water filter is impossible to find and no help with the manual. Won’t cool. Fruit spoils in a day or two. Had to buy mini fridge for meats and dairy. Leave in milk and it sours after a couple of days. Won’t cool below 60 degrees. Paid almost $2500 dollars for a heavy, useless piece of junk that gets my family sick with food poisoning. Stick to traditional brands when purchasing a refrigerator. Samsung is just shiny junk.

I am not one to write product reviews but am so disappointed with my Samsung refrigerator. We bought our French Door Samsung refrigerator 2 years ago from Home Depot when we built our home. I loved it!!! Then about 3 months ago the refrigerator showed problems with cooling and the lowest temp we could maintain was 44 degrees and often cooled at 46. We had a Samsung certified tech come out and work on the refrigerator and he found coolant leaking. After a call to Samsung, Samsung told the tech the refrigerator could not be fixed. Now we are waiting Samsungs final decision as to what will be done. With Thanksgiving next week looks like I will be out buying a new refrigerator and it will NOT NOT NOT be a Samsung.

After 2 years, ice maker quit working and started freezing over and leaking water. 2 attempts to repair have failed by a certified Samsung repair specialist. I have read all the reviews with some of the same problems. I think a class action law suit is warranted especially since these are design defects from the start. Samsung is a HORRIBLE company must be made in North Korea!! I experienced the same POOR customer service from Samsung as everyone. Now our repair person has not been able to get a freezer part for weeks as it is out of stock and on back order. This is a $2200 purchase made 12/18/12, that is the worst appliance that I have ever purchased. We bought this DMT800RHW unit because we were satisfied with their refrigerator. This is a top of the line unit. Too bad we didnt see all these negative reviews. From the start, we had problems. First, a small plastic wheel on the bottom rack was missing when it arrived. I called to ask them to just send a wheel I could snap on in 10 seconds... Nope. They had to send out a technician. Then those wheels were rubbing on the lower right side of the door gasket, and eventually dislodge the stainless steel grip in that area that went around the whole door to hold the rubber gasket. It was tack welded on, so they said the dishwasher was a loss. They would not repair it. They decided to refund out money, but not installation, which was the good news and policy by Samsung. To do that, I had to rip off the identity label, cut the power cord off and take a picture of all that to send into Samsung. This was not too easy to do, but we are fairly assertive with Samsung. Since Im handy with mechanical and electrical systems, I put it back together. I also screwed in the stainless steel gasket holder and had a new dishwasher for free.... or so I thought. A couple months later, I started getting error codes 0E and 9E which mean low water level and high water level. When this happens, the cycle just stops. This increased in frequency over a year. Unplugging the unit then plugging it back in would seem to fix it for a while. At this point, the unit constantly gives these errors and seems useless. When it is turned on, the unit will fill with water and empty itself about three or four times without actually starting to spray water inside - like it is in some self-cleaning cycle. Then one of these error codes comes up, but the water is not low or too high. The design of the bottom of the dishwasher is really very simple and easy to take apart (Phillips screwdriver tip only), so I did that and cleaned it out thoroughly in first attempt. There seemed to be some debris blocking one channel. After this attempt, the same thing happens... three or four fill/empty cycles then one of the two error codes. I would like to take it apart further, but am not sure what to do as it may be a sensor or circuit board error. On other matters, I have noticed how the internal plastic parts seem to be deteriorating from the dishwashing process. From all these posts in this forum, clearly Samsung has engineered a unit that is defective in so many ways. I am disgusted by Samsung as well, but at least I didnt have to pay for my dishwasher!

I called Lowes after we had opened everything that was delivered with our new Samsung oven/range to say the griddle was missing. They said the griddle in their display was scratched and to call Samsung. I called Samsung and ended up texting our receipt to verify purchase. I was told it had gone through and the griddle would be delivered with 15 business days, this was on Aug. 26th. On Sept. 27th I called to find out why I hadnt received it yet and was apologized to and told there was no explanation as to why it didnt ship, but she assured me it would go out that day. Oct. 15th I call once again and now am told it does not come with a griddle, of course I asked why it was shown to come with the griddle at Lowes and both times I had called Samsung they never said it didnt. I asked to speak to a manager who on again repeated it didnt come with it. There was o explanation as to the fact 3 other people said it DID come with it. I was left with No. We are NOT going to honor this. My manual doesnt show it on that model, again no explanation as to why it was displayed with one and 2 previous Samsung representatives said it did come with it. All of my appliances were replaced with Samsung when we moved into our home 2 months ago, they dont really care, so Ill never buy another Samsung anything. For a part that probably didnt even cost that much, they didnt care that Ive just purchased these Samsung appliances: gas stove, electric microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, washer and dryer.

I am having problems with the oven temperature in my brand new Samsung gas range purchased less than a month ago. When the preheat feature arrives at 350 degrees, it is not that hot in the oven. I have placed an oven thermometer in my oven because of the uneven temperatures and untrue displayed temperatures. When I called the Samsung phone number, the tech told me how to adjust or as he called it recalibrate the temperature. I did try this, however, It still appears that it takes 20 minutes or longer to reach the required temperature. In my previous 30-year-old gas range, the temperature reached the requirement in ten minutes. After reading the comments on this site (I wish I had known about it before purchasing my Samsung gas range), I would have chosen another brand. Now, I am afraid to even try the self cleaning feature.

First off, I would like to say I never take the time to write out a review
First off, I would like to say I never take the time to write out a review regarding a item. This just shows how unsatisfied I am with my purchase. I would definitely not recommend this product to anyone. Do not buy any SAMSUNG product. The customer service reps do not offer any customer service. They do not know how to treat customers even after the crap their company has released in the recent years. Lets not forget about the blowing up of the cell phones and laundry machines. My complaint is about their refrigerators and how I have spent over $600 trying to fix the ice dispenser. The ice dispenser freezes up and does not slide out. It seems like the fridge is leaking water and causing the entire tray to freeze. The ice cubes are not in proper ice cube form. The ice cubes look like slushy. I complained to the customer service rep and their answer regarding my complaint was Sorry your item has passed the 1 year warranty for parts. I told the rep there are over 2000 complaints about this ice dispenser on the internet. I previously owned a GE profile refrigerator for over 17 years and never had one issue with it! The customer rep told me they do not go by the complaints on the internet for their products. I asked if they had any other solution and the rep told me once again Sorry the product has passed the one year warranty for the replacement items. If the company cannot offer a solution for their defective products, I will not ever in my life purchase a Samsung product. I will make sure I make this clear to all of my family members and friends. I have had this refrigerator for only a little over 2 years. Samsung teach your service reps how to resolve issues and test your products before releasing them. You shouldnt be telling your customers to fix a problem and have them pay $300 to get it fixed. Even your crappy service reps dont have a solution for your defective products. I am a very unsatisfied customer. I will have to go buy a new refrigerator since this issue is not being resolved.

I purchased my Samsung electric range Model NE597R0ABSR in September of 201
I purchased my Samsung electric range Model NE597R0ABSR in September of 2014 from Nebraska Furniture Mart in Kansas City, Kansas. Last week on 08/10/2017 the oven suddenly caught on fire when I turned the oven on. Nothing in the oven. The control panel read that the temperature of the oven was only 275 degrees. I just heard a clicking noise and then a small boom and I could see my oven was on fire through the glass. Smoke alarm went off, and I got the fire out without getting hurt. The heating element in the oven had caught fire on its left side and was melted. The lens around the light was also scorched and then there was all the damage to the walls of the oven being scorched, the oven door glass was also scorched and damaged. I was very lucky that I was still in my kitchen when it caught fire or else I imagine more damage would have occurred to my kitchen and home. Of course being 3 years old it was no longer under warranty, but from the number of complaints on this same issue with Samsung ranges which not only includes my model number but other Samsung models it appears to be a manufacturing defect. I called Samsung customer service 1-800-726-7864 and told them what happened and they said it was no longer under warranty. I said to them that it looked like a manufacturing defect and was told well manufacturing defects were only covered for 1 year (ridiculous). The stove is a fire hazard. I unplugged the stove after I got the fire out. Then the Samsung customer service rep I talked to the 3rd time finally said that they would sent an authorized repair service to my home to evaluate the damage. Samsung would pay for the service evaluation and the labor to replace the parts, BUT NOT THE PARTS. Turned out that when the tech took the back off of the stove, it was the wiring harness that had been on fire also, plus the circuit board was damaged and that was just what he could see without taking it apart any further. Turned out the circuit board, the wiring harness and oven heating element parts would be a whopping $420.00. That was just the beginning, then there would be another $60 charge for the tech to come back. I told the repair service I was not paying for any parts and would not be having the stove repaired and it was ridiculous for me to have to pay anything at all for Samsungs negligence in manufacturing a stove with so many defects. An electric stove should never just catch on fire because the oven was turned on, and the wiring harness shouldnt have caught fire ever. That $1000.00 stove should have lasted more than 3 years. Samsung obviously does not care about their customers, or their well being, and I will never buy another Samsung product. So many of their appliances have exploded, caught on fire that it is ridiculous that these same products continue to be sold to the unsuspecting US public.

Two years ago we remodeled our kitchen. The new Samsung over the stove microwave matches the new Samsung stove and has some nice features and I do like it, but it is starting to make a grinding noise. It seems to have caught something from its big brother, the stove. This stove has all the bells & whistles..Looks like a cooks delight... Thats a disguise. The stove really sucks. It cooks everything to hot and the smooth top is a ** to clean compared to my old Whirlpool smooth top. The top burners on the Samsung take eons to come up, and when they do it mimics Kilauea. It will not do a simmer but slow boils. I end up cooking everything on the small burner rings, including big pots. I had to drop the oven temperature down 25 degrees to get the right results. I called the Samsung repair service. The guy told me there is nothing wrong with the stove. He must be a Democrat.Recently, when I use the oven, the convection fan started making noise... It is now making a racket. I checked with an appliance guy and he said that he has seen Samsung stove fans junk out before and eventually seize on a regular basis... the cost to replace the fan assembly would be about $300-$375 bucks. I went on the Internet and found videos on how-to replace the fan. I found an appliance parts website. My husband looked at the YouTube videos and is going to fix the stove himself. Never a Samsung product again. I understand their TVs are not very good either.

I bought the NE58K9500SG, slide in range in Nov., I would like to report a safety issue. The knobs on the front are too easy to turn. My husband and I are constantly turning the stove top on by accident with our body while reaching to the back burners or the cabinet above the stove or the microwave. We have young grandchildren in the house from time to time and I am worried about it. While we were hanging a backsplash the stove top came on and we werent aware of it. I bought a Samsung dishwasher Model# DW80F600UTS/AA about 6 months ago. Its no good and did not work out of the box. I was getting an error code that it would not drain on start-up. I had to call for service, explained the problem and a tech was scheduled to come and repair it in a week. Tech came, replace faulty part and it finally ran for the first time. Sure it ran but it has never cleaned the dishes very well and it always leaves a powdery residue on everything. The insides of the dishwasher has a build up of powdery residue in certain areas as well, especially on the bottom. Also I have noticed that it smells when I open the door even with no new dirty dishes in it. You would think that from a place where you pull clean dishes from that it wouldnt have a musty odor coming from it. It just makes me sick to know I have a new expensive dishwasher and I wind up cleaning more dishes by hand than I put in my dishwasher. I also bought Samsung microwave oven and stove but have not had a problem yet except that the clocks have to be reset every 30 months because one run fast and the other runs slow. From what I have been reading I am bracing myself for the other appliances to give me problems. I have not bought the fridge yet and I guarantee it wont be a Samsung! Best of luck to all of those who do not heed the warnings of myself and the others who have posted here.

We bought a Samsung refrigerator from Home Depot to replace an old refrigerator that had developed a Freon leak. When the new refrigerator was delivered and plugged it, it immediately tripped the GFI breaker. The Home Depot delivery crew said there must be a problem with the electrical circuit. Lamps and other test units plugged in to the outlet worked, but plugging in the refrigerator immediately tripped the circuit. We paid for an electrician to come out. He said that the circuit tested OK but recommended that we replace the GFI breaker. He installed a new GFI breaker and outlet for the refrigerator. The circuit tripped immediately when the refrigerator was plugged in. The electrician tested and diagnosed the problem as an internal short in the refrigerator. Electrician cost $296. We contacted Home Depot about the problem, and our call was routed to Samsung. After about 15 minutes answering questions with the Samsung representative, we were told that a local Samsung service contractor would contact us within 48 to 72 business hours. We received a call from Central Electronics Services saying that the soonest the could have a technician come out to diagnose the problem would be two weeks later - nothing could be done to advance the service schedule. We went in to Home Depot who expressed concern about the problem and said that it is not uncommon to experience problems in getting manufacturer warranty service from Samsung. We are still awaiting the Central Electronics/Samsung service technician to arrive. Hopefully the defective refrigerator will be replaced with a properly functioning unit without undue. In the interim, we warn others considering purchase of a Samsung major appliance about the poor service from Samsung. Buyer beware!

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator in 2016. I have since had to manually defrost the coil and fan three times and as I am writing this, the fan is running noisily and tomorrow I will have to pull off the back panel behind the shelves and defrost it yet again with a hairdryer because this build up keeps the refrigerator from cooling. I am a disabled man living mostly on a fixed income. The refrigerator cost roughly $3000 which took me a year to pay off. I called customer service and the rep told me that he could do nothing about it. I asked to speak to his supervisor to see what recourse I had if any and was met with extreme hostility. He outright refused to resolve my issue or offer anything helpful. Samsung needs to teach its people what professional customer service looks like. I did not appreciate the condescending tone of their customer support agents. I also work for the largest home goods and building material retailer in the United States and have actively informed customers not to purchase any Samsung appliance until they improve the quality of their product and customer support. I would suggest that others provide the same service to family and friends who need to spend their hard earned money on a new appliance. Recently, we needed a new dishwasher and purchased a GE which my wife and I are very pleased with. Presently, we will never buy any Samsung product whether it be a household appliance, phone, tablet, TV or anything else. After the “convenient” freezer door handle, being only supported through plastic, broke off for the second time and after having manually defrosted the fan, coil, and heating element for the third time in two weeks, I bit the bullet and bought a new fridge. It seems you have to purchase the entire freezer drawer to fix one plastic piece. By the way, the Whirlpool I purchased has performed great with all the features of the Samsung for about 40% less cost. I have just finished writing a rather lengthy letter to the consumer protection agency documenting the numerous issues and failed CS conversations. I advise anyone thinking of doing the same be sure to document all calls (i.e. date, time, rep name, etc.). Take pictures with your phone of all visible issues including the rust spots your stainless probably has because of its apparent poor quality. I am hopeful someone may read this who can help...

We purchased this product on July 27 2017. Months after we purchased it the ice maker started icing up and water started dripping inside the fridge. When you would hit the ice button you would first get water then ice would drop. The ice would not be totally frozen. Then water would drip out after you were finished. Three different times they have replaced the whole ice maker. On Nov 8 2018 they told our repair man they were going to do an exchange. Then on Nov 29 they had another company come in and fix it (3 time). On Jan 24 it started doing the same thing. When we contacted Samsung they told us it is now our problem. They are not going to fix it again. They totally lied to us about exchanging it. This fridge is nothing but junk and headaches. We ended up going to Sams Club and purchased an ice maker. You spend nearly $3000.00 for a refrigerator and you cant even have it make ice. Buy from a different company. They know they have problems with this refrigerator and they wont stand behind them. We will never have another Samsung in our house. Read other reviews on this. I know others have the same issue. We read them but we thought they had the issues resolved. Boy did we find out the hard way.

Samsung has continued to produce a defective ice maker for more than 10 years. The unit clogs up with frost & ice that prevents the unit from working. The plastic components including the ice bin and auger are very thin and developed cracks soon after use. Repeated calls to Samsung customer service do not solve the problem, they will charge you for a service call, but the expensive repairs do not fix the problem. A class action lawsuit remains open and unresolved. In the meantime user have to use a hair dryer between once a week to once a month to melt out the ice jam in the top of the unit. Samsung refuses to stand behind their product, and even worse continues to manufacture it.

The ice maker stopped working within a few days after owning the refrigerator. It freezes up requiring the ice maker to be removed and thawed out. This has to be a common problem with this refrigerator as it works for a few days then the problem repeats. I would not recommend buying any item from Samsung as I think they are just interested in ripping people off and not standing by their products. They got caught with the cell phones but appliances are harder to claim damages even if the damages are clear design problems.

Have had 2 repairs but they just melted the ice so it freezes every 2 to 4 weeks. Shame on Samsung for not doing a recall. Its a very well known issue; the fan gets hot, melts the ice then it freezes back up again. The home I bought came with a french door Samsung fridge model number RF263AEBP. About 3 days after moving in the fridge stopped cooling. Luckily our home came with a home warranty so we filed a claim. There is a known defect with this model Samsung fridge and Samsung is doing nothing to resolve the issue. A family in NJ had to file a class action lawsuit to try getting help from Samsung. The fridge stops cooling and water forms under the fridge. Ice covers the coils therefore the fan stops working. The fridge then goes into defrost mode. This has been an absolute headache for us.We have forked out money on short term repairs and have lost money spent on food that has gone bad. This fridge is easily worth $3000.00. Samsung should be ashamed! I feel there should be a recall on their faulty product. I WILL NEVER buy another Samsung product after seeing how Samsung treats their customers. Im now trying to decide if we should put more money into this fridge or go out and buy a new one. In 2011, we bought a Samsung dishwasher and French door refrigerator. The dishwasher had problems from the first month, with basket clips breaking, and jamming the jets. They knew this was a widespread problem, but wouldnt switch out our unit. I left negative feedback on their site, which they removed (it was all factual), and sent me a warning email that they would ban me from commenting again. I switched it for an LG (no problems at all). Now, the fridge isnt working. It started making a loud rattling noise this afternoon, and a quick online search showed me that there is a class action lawsuit against them because the twin cooling system freezes over, and your fridge/freezer no longer cool/freeze. On the advice of a salesman at Lowes we purchased a Samsung side by side (model RF197ACWP). He did tell me that there had been some problems with the icemaker so I tried to buy one without an icemaker. Not possible. Im very handy; when it arrived, I thought it would be a simple matter to remove. Not so; when you try and remove it, the refrigerator doesnt work. I managed to figure out the wiring and bypassed the icemaker and removed it. Worked for one year, four months before the problems began--pools of water and icing under the vegetable and meat bins; paint began coming off the handles.I found a Youtube that told me how to deal with the pools of water under the vegetable and meat bins--a 30-40 minute operation that has to be done every two or three months. Repainted the handles with epoxy paint. (Fortunately they were white). Then the vegetable drawer began freezing lettuce, vegetables, etc. Tried recommended fixes--nothing worked. Replaced sensor. No improvement. At that point, I called a local repair service--the tech laughed and said that Samsung was helping him with his retirement. His best guess was that it was the mother board (hes replaced several). Repair would be about $250. But he went on to say that, if the refrigerator were his, he would head straight to the county dump and leave it there. What a piece of crap.

We had the absolute worst experience with Samsung. We called because our freezer was 2.5 years old and both ice makers broken in addition to the freezer. Our freezer wasnt staying at the correct temperature. I called to see what, if anything they can do. They advised me that there is no warranty. I requested the information for an authorized Samsung repairer (they did not offer). I was told that I would need to call and set up the appointment since I was no longer under warranty. I expressed how disappointed I was that our refrigerator was broken and was under 3 years old. He continued to reminded me there is no warranty so that was the end of that. I then called the number provided by the Samsung representative and did not speak with anyone. I chatted with a representative over the internet and explained that I could not get in contact with them and explained that I am loyal customer of Samsung for over 10 years and am in need of assistance. He could not do anything other than tell me that my warranty has expired and that I should call the number provided. I called a total of 4 times and left 2 voice messages. I then contacted via chat to beg for help and he then provided a number to Samsung Emergency Help. However at this exact time my husband was at the house with an unauthorized repair company because we have now been 4 days without a refrigerator and have a house of 6 to provide for. The emergency repair representative said that they cannot help because an unauthorized has touched our appliance. The unauthorized repair man confirmed we had a freon leak which was the reason our temperature was not right in both the refrigerator and freezer compartments in addition to having broken ice makers. The Freon had a 5 year warranty and when a supervisor called me back she said I should have looked at the manual and that that was my responsibility. I reminded her that I told the rep I spoke with everything and I am not too savvy when it comes to diagnosing issues with my refrigerator so I did not know it was the freon, I clearly communicated that the freezer and refrigerator temps where not right and the original rep I communicated that too agreed but still told me I have no warranty so I believed I had no warranty.I was repeatedly blamed for not arguing with the rep about the freon and warranty issue. They blamed me for getting a unauthorized repair man, They said I should have kept calling them when I got no response from their authorized repair facility. The chat rep disconnected/hung up on me (still had questions), when I asked to speak with the supervisor - she stated, You actually spoke with my supervisor already, and went on to explain that her supervisor passed it to her to handle when I requested a supervisor and that I could not speak to anyone else. The supervisor blamed me for not setting an appointment up through them (even after I told her I was clearly told that I have to do it). I did not raise my voice nor did I at anytime use vulgarities or insult anyone that I spoke with.I reminded them that I was a loyal customer with over 14 Samsung products that includes appliances, phones, media equipment, and tables and it meant nothing. I suggested they at least give me a coupon to purchase something else and all was denied. I cannot and will not patronize a company that has such bad service. I talked to Samsung 3 times by phone when I called, 2 time when a supervisor called me, and 2 times by chat and I did not have an acceptable experience. I feel as if the product was defective if everything broke within a week of each other and it was only 2.5 years old. Terrible Service, no I am purchasing a new refrigerator and will not consider a Samsung product again.

Ive had the refrigerator (RF260BEAESR French door) about 4 years and it works ok. I like the size and especially like the bottom freezer. My complaint is with the finish which is supposed to be stainless steel. I have cleaned it as instructed, taken good care of it. No kids or any influences which would damage the finish. No matter how well we cared for it - it still has spots and streaks and I can see where the finish is worn off so it is spotty and discolored in areas. Its a cheap finish, and if it was really stainless steel it wouldnt stain - but it does. Not happy about that! Samsung used to be a good products but not anymore. My Samsung Refrigerator was a gift from my husband. I was so excited and looking forward to having a new refrigerator. Unfortunately, it has turned out to be a nightmare. The refrigerator was purchased in 2014 along with an extended warranty. Within 6 months the ice maker went out. It took 3 trips to repair it. Within 2 weeks it was out again. It took 4 visits to get it fixed this time and we learned it was a design flaw that Samsung knew about, but refused to correct the problem. Instead Samsung sent out a list of things the technicians could do to try and make the ice makers work longer. Again, it failed and a New Ice Maker was put in. That lasted about 6 months, however it leaked the whole time. Once again the ice maker went out. Same issues as before. Here I sit with the ice maker out yet again with Technicians coming out this week. All the while I am having to purchase Ice, make arrangements to be here for the technicians and listen to the excuses of which NONE are satisfactory. Home Depot and Samsung will not replace the refrigerator, because of an ice maker issue. What is worse now is the water leaking from the ice maker is dripping on the electrical components on the drawer below, which could cause a short or electrical issue. This is a VERY POOR appliance and I do not recommend it to anyone.

This Samsung range takes 60 minutes to reach 475 degrees. If you open the oven door, the temperature quickly drops. Broil function won’t work. This range has been used about 6 times in the last 3 years. We bought this for our vacation home 3 years ago. It was part of a package deal refrigerator, range microwave, and dishwasher for $5200. 9 months ago the repair service changed the master board for $300. Please google Samsung range lawsuit to substantiate my complaint.

We purchased a package deal on 4 Samsung appliances in the summer of 2016. It was suggested that to update our kitchen for potentially selling it that new appliances are a must. The units that we purchased from HHGregg are VERY disappointing. The dishwasher DW80J3020US is very quiet, which is nice, but since there is no latch to lock the door, occasionally we open it mid-cycle forgetting it is on. There is no way to continue the cycle; it has to start completely over. We contacted customer service asking about this and they confirmed this. That is poor design. For the microwave model ME16H702SEB, you cant cook something and use the timer at the same time. It may seem like a small thing, but it is very inconvenient. Again, poor design. We are extremely disappointed in the quality of these units and the lack of attention to detail. They are cheaply designed. Stay away from them.

The white finish on our 2 1/2 yr old refridge started blistering near the ice/water dispenser. It has been dry there the whole time. This has now been going on for several months. Now there are black spots in the blistering. I have taken photos and emailed them to Samsung. Samsung has refused to pay the approx $600 for a new door. They claim its cosmetic. When this same machine was less than a year, the panel on the dispenser went out and was replaced under warranty. All in all, were very unhappy with the fridge and even more unhappy with Samsungs response. I would never recommend Samsung and would never buy another product from them. Attached is one of the early photos. Its worse now.

The fan began making loud noises and I called a repair man assuming that it was an interior problem and would be covered by the 5 year warranty. The Samsung refrigerator model RF263BEASR is slightly over two years old. It turns out that the fan must be replaced plus the fan cover. The Samsung person said that it wasnt under warranty so I am stuck with a $390 bill. I have had Sub Zeros that have lasted years without a problem. This is a huge disappointment and I would definitely not buy another Samsung appliance.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator with freezer on bottom and double upper doors. It is 5 years old and every year we get water under the pull out tray. Yesterday I soaked up three large beach towels worth of water. Chilled out 1/2 ice that covered about 25% of space under drawer. The water gets so bad that it runs down on hard wood and warps it. Seems too happy when humidity is bad... Summer months. No repairman likes to work on Samsung. Great, but they should not be selling refrigerators. My friend has same frig and same thing happens to her.

Long going problem with the refrigerator building ice and the drain system clogged. I wrote a complain back in September 2014. Every two weeks I have to melt the ice with my wifes Blower and drain hot water to the draining system. I cant do this any longer Im sick of it. I didnt buy a New refrigerator to be a SLAVE of it. It was supposed to service me. Not the other way around. My question to Consumer Affairs is why hasnt the U.S. Government taken action against Samsung? Many other complaints as the same as mine.

Bought new at Lowe’s had to have repairman out three times before it was 4 months old. Then again just before one yr warranty was up. Declined the extended warranty and have had trouble ever since. Contacted Samsung and they informed me that there was nothing they could do for me as I hadnt purchased the extended warranty. We have had this fridge for a year and a half and it is still not working and leaking water. We have already spent close to $500.00 in repairman costs and still no help. Do not buy any Samsung appliance unless you have money to burn. This isnt right. My husband and I are considering contacting an attorney in this matter. We didnt spend the money for this fridge to have to buy it twice.

Bought in April of 2010. The display broke and had to be replaced. Two of the adjustable milk holders had to be replaced. They cracked and filled with moisture. Then this year, it started making loud humming and grinding noises. The Samsung repairman was here twice and said he couldnt open the drain. So water keeps accumulating under the drawer and leaks down on the fans and they hum and grind. It is so loud it wakes us up at night. I cant even have company without having to go outside. OK, when the ice maker drops ice, that may be a little louder. My last refrigerator was a Westinghouse and it was over 13 years old and still worked. Boy did I make a mistake with this one.

We bought all new kitchen appliances (4) from Home Depot and they were delivered Feb. 2014 to our winter home in Florida. The dishwasher has been used under a couple of dozen times (only 2 of us) as we did not use the place much since then due to our schedules. Arrived in Florida this week and first time we tried, it failed. We got the HEAVY & the Smart Auto indications on it and nothing worked. Searching online we find that this issue is well-known and well-reported by a lot of folks and reading their comments makes us regret buying anything from Samsung. Contacting Samsung was beyond ridiculous.Justin ** | Samsung Electronics America | Social Media Support & Executive Customer Relations made these comments: ...there is no known issues with this particular model. Despite all sorts of homeowners and technical people knowing all about it? Really? And also, ...we would be unable to offer any accommodations. Nothing? That is all you got to say and all you wish to do? Really?I even sent this guy links to various review sites all describing their exact same pain and you are totally unaware? Really? Perhaps lift your head out of the sand might help? We could pay to fix it as some have, but as so many stated the repairs failed again and in some case again & again I feel the best action is to throw Samsung in the garbage pile where they belong and purchase a better and more reliable dishwasher. And now I fear the future as the range, the fridge and the microwave are also Samsung appliances. Why oh why did I buy Samsung? ARGH!!!

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher for my new home and I purchased it 3 months before my house was finished. When the contractor was ready I bought the dishwasher in the box to the new house so they can install it. We moved in the house Oct. 1, 2019. Two weeks ago I called Samsung about the dishwasher wasnt working and explained to the customer service rep that I havent been in my home a year yet. I was advised that the dishwasher is out of warranty and that I can pay someone to come out and check it out. They said the warranty expired at the end of last month. Stupid me I purchased a Samsung microwave, Samsung dishwasher, and a Samsung refrigerator. Im disappointed one because I got less than a year of service out of the dishwasher and two the level of customer service you get when you spend the extra money to get a product that suppose to be good. I will purchase a new dishwasher but it wont be samsung.

I bought this French door Samsung refrigerator cause the one that came with the house I bought had died. After looking at both Home Depot, H. H. Gregg, Lowe’s and Best Buy - I settled on this model RF268ABWP at Lowe’s in white. A little background - I went to culinary institute of America at Greystone and have been a professional chef for over 30 years - I know my way around a kitchen and appliances. This Samsung is the worst - there’s just not hardly any storage room in freezer and it continually ices up to the point the drawer/door is open and water/ ice melts on to the kitchen floor. The door at several places has started to rust, underneath the coolselect crisper drawer in the main body of fridge also continually ices up and the drawer starts to be pushed out. Have to thaw ice jam and remove ice sheet and then dry out fridge bottom and freezer drawer bottom. Complete pain in the **. Called Lowe’s customer service and nothing, also called Samsung and nothing no help. After reading and digging around on internet found that it’s a design flaw and company knew about it but refuses to fix. If I could fit on my boat it would be at the bottom of some lake. Complete junk and a waste of over 1400 bucks - my advice to anyone buying a new or used fridge - stay away from Samsung.

Our 2 year old Samsung refrigerator went out a week ago. After spending several hours on chat with Samsung and 1-1/2 hours on hold I was given a service company in our Des Moines market of 500K people (they have only one). I called them and was told it would be 2 weeks before they can get there. So I called around Des Mioines to get someone to fix the unit and no one would service a Samsung. I called Lowes where I bought the unit and they were able to have someone out in two days. The evaporator had gone bad so it is under the 5 year warranty but we are now waiting 10 more days to get someone out to install it. Samsung Counter Depth Smart French Door Refrigerator - We purchased our refrigerator in February of 2017. The icemaker performs terribly. This is definitely not a family refrigerator. The icemaker does not even produce enough ice for just the two of us. Sometimes it does not produce any ice at all for no apparent reason. There are other times when it is just slow. It is simply not consistent. The best way to make sure you have ice with this refrigerator is to use ice trays. I can have 16 cubes of ice per tray in 30 minutes as opposed to waiting hours if I depend on the ice maker. I would not purchase this refrigerator again if I could go back and do this all over again.

Purchased the Samsung french door refrigerator RF263BEAEWW/AA at Home Depot
Purchased the Samsung french door refrigerator RF263BEAEWW/AA at Home Depot, I also purchased for $150 through Asurion with their extended 3 year warranty on 11/2/14. Beginning on 7/29/16 the ice maker began freezing up thus it would not make ice. I called Home Depot’s Claim number to begin the first of many claims through Asurion. They sent out Ben F. Login & Sons for the repair on 7/29/17. They replaced I think the Auger, they did not leave me any invoice. Then on 12/26/16 the ice maker stopped making ice again. On 12/28/16 A Plus Appliance was sent out and they replaced the ice maker motor and Auger. The Ice Maker stopped making ice again on 1/30/17, so MD Appliance came out on 2/2/17, to repair it by using caulking around the ice maker and proceeded to defrost the ice build-up with a blow dryer then left. Then the Ice Maker stopped making ice again on 4/1/17, so Residential Tech Services Inc. came out on 4/3/17 to verify this fact as per Asurions Lemon Law policy. Which states clearly the fact: After Three (3) service repairs have been completed on and individual product for the same breakdown or component and that product requires a fourth (4) repair for the same breakdown or component, as determined by us, we will replace it at our discretion. Residential Tech did not conduct any repair. Then I called the manager on 4/3/17 of Asurion because I read about all the complaints on these defective Samsung Refrigerators only to be told that this ice maker had to break down 4 times with the same exact problem before they would consider replacement as per their Lemon Law Policy. I argued that I have had 4 repairs done. This Manager claims that the Decembers repair had a defective part thus this repair was combined with Januarys repair not counting towards the so-called 4th time as per their Lemon Law Policy! Then I proceeded to make yet another appointment on 4/14/17, and Tekniton came out to replace the Ice Maker and Auger Motor. He found that on the back of this refrigerator was full of water and leaking inside to the bottom inside the deli drawer and icing up. I then had to schedule yet another repair which took place 4/24/17. Tekniton came out again to replace the Stelian replaced ice maker and auger motor, also repaired water leak, defrost sensor and assy cover evap-ref; Aw1-12 angle-shelf. This tech. found the ice maker was starting to freeze up again but it is still making ice.I called the Insurance company Asurion and spoke with the service manager who told me that on the 4th time, and it must be the same issue that they would send out yet another tech to verify that is indeed the same issue as before and they would consider a refund, replace etc. He lied and told me that each part is under warranty for 60-days. Meaning if this issue happens again within that 60-day time frame it doesnt count towards the 4th time. This is not stated in their policy. He claimed that the December repair had a defective part so that was not counted towards the 4th time. Im still stuck with this defective refrigerator and each tech that has come out have all said the same thing. The ice makers are a manufacturing defect and cant be repaired. This refrigerator due to its constant leaking is a potential fire hazard! If I end up having food spoilage or a fire because of this I will sue! Never Ever buy any appliance through Home Depot as they use Asurion as their extended warranty company and they are liars and horrible to deal with. Despite the fact that you should never ever buy anything Samsung Appliances as they are all nicely designed but have known defects and they continue to sell those defective appliances to the public! I have a horrible feeling that Home Depot or Asurion will make me be stuck with this crappy refrigerator after I spent $2,300 on it!

I bought a Samsung RF217ACRS refrigerator in Sept of 2010. In short it was a lemon from the day we bought it. The ice maker immediately had to be repaired, then shortly after that replaced. We were also experiencing water leaking into our crisping drawers spoiling our vegetables as it pooled up to 1/2. The repair person that came to replace the ice maker made a guess as to what was happening and did a nonstandard repair in the back panel where the water runs down to fill the ice trays. He fixed it temporarily. The last time our ice maker was replaced was February of 2012 and here we are once again with a broken ice maker and water pooling in our crisping drawers 1.5 years later and Samsung will do nothing for us. I am an interior designer and have been specifying appliances for homes for over 20 years, and will never recommend nor purchase from Samsung again.

WE HATE THIS FRIDGE! Samsung should be ashamed! This is the side by side model # rs25h5111sr. Its 2015 & with the tech we have now, there shouldnt be these issues. I have over 5 major complaints about this fridge! 1st the noise! When we open the freezer door & then shut it, it sounds like the haunted mansion over @ Diz! It expands & creaks like the walls in the haunted mansion. It was so comical, I invited neighbors over to witness it! They think its hysterical, we do not! When we also open the freezer door & shut it, theres a knocking sound like someone with a hammer is banging for about 3 or 4 times! The thing pops & cracks but not just little pops or cracks. Its so loud it awakens us in the middle of the night! Sounds like someone breaking into our home. The motor is also noisy... why? Did Samsung forget to put needed insulation in this fridge or did they just make it cheaply? After realizing the drawers were cheap slide in & out, we have decided Samsung made everything CHEAPLY! The ice machine sounds like a fire hose when it fills the ice tray. Weve adjusted the water pressure & still sounds the same! We were going to return it the 1st wk. We called Samsung & were told that the fridge needs to adjust & the plastic is new... yada, yada, yada. We also didnt return it due to it works its just SUPER NOISY & getting it in & out of the house is a total fiasco! Samsungs engineers need to go back to school & learn what fridges In the US are supposed to sound like, which is quiet! The other issues we do not care for are: The drawer placement, along with no wheels on the drawers & the unusual light they decided to put in the back of the fridge. The light isnt a good kind of light. Its eerie which goes along w/ the haunted like noise that comes from it! Dont buy this fridge if you want peace & quiet!
