Samsung Washer Model OBX WA44A3405AV Error Codes

CODE: LO or FL
PROBLEM: Door lock error
FIX: Check the wiring connections to the door lock/switch, and tighten if needed. Forcing the door open might damage the door lock / switch, which is often made of plastic. However, it is simple to replace and much less expensive than calling a technician.

CODE: ds
PROBLEM: Door is not locked
FIX: If the washer won't start, the ds code might appear, signaling that the washer door is open and the lock is malfunctioning. Use the diagnostic test mode to check the door lock / switch assembly. If that shows the lock is defective, replace it.

CODE: dc
PROBLEM: Unbalanced load
FIX: The dc code means the load has been detected as unbalanced during the final spin. Cancel the cycle, or just let it end. Redistribute the load, and re spin.

CODE: Sud (F70)
PROBLEM: Too many suds
FIX: Allow the suds to settle, and move to the spin cycle. Rewash the clothes using no detergent, and then clean your washer.

CODE: lE
PROBLEM: Water level sensor failure
FIX: First, unplug the washer, and check the wire harness connections between the water level sensor and the main control board. If the IE code still appears after plugging the washer back in, the water level pressure sensor should be replaced.

CODE: nF
PROBLEM: Water fill problem
FIX: Check that the water supply faucets behind the washer are fully open and kink free. The lines can also freeze if the washer is exposed to low temperatures. The code might also appear if the water inlet fill valves are defective and need replacement.

CODE: LE
PROBLEM: Low water level during cycles
FIX: Water level drops can be caused by leaks in the washer tub or an improperly installed drain line, which can siphon water out of the washer. Reinstall the drain line, and try filling again.

CODE: OE
PROBLEM: Overflow or too high water levels
FIX: A washer that is overfilled is usually caused by water inlet valves that are not shutting off the water flow properly. Replace the water inlet valve assembly.

CODE: nF1
PROBLEM: Hot and cold water lines are reversed
FIX: Connect the hot and cold water fill hoses correctly on the back of the washer.

CODE: tE
PROBLEM: Water temperature is either too high or too low
FIX: Run the diagnostic test mode to check the water temperature that the control board is sensing. If the actual temperature is significantly different, the temperature sensor or thermistor should be replaced.

CODE: nd
PROBLEM: Water will not drain
FIX: If the washer fails to drain within fifteen minutes, check the washer drain filter and drain hose for a clog or restriction. If the drain pump is defective or damaged, replace it.

CODE: E2
PROBLEM: Stuck key on control board
FIX: Try to free the key by gentle force. If you can't free the key, replace the user interface control board (also called the sub PCB control board).

CODE: 3E
PROBLEM: No signal from the drive motor tachometer
FIX: Unplug the washer. Check the wire harness connections on the drive motor and the electronic control board. If the wiring connections are sound, the drive motor or the tachometer usually needs to be replaced.

CODE: 2E
PROBLEM: Internal control board failure
FIX: Unplug the washer for five minutes to reset the electronic control board. Plug the washer back in. If the code returns, replace the electronic control board.

CODE: AE
PROBLEM: Communication error between the main PCB and sub PCB in the control panel
FIX: Check the wire harness connections between the PCB control boards in the control panel. If the wiring connections are sound, replace one or both of the control boards.

CODE: SF
PROBLEM: Main PCB error
FIX: Unplug the washer for five minutes to reset the electronic control board. Plug the washer back in. If the code returns, replace the electronic control board.

CODE: Hr
PROBLEM: Heater relay failure
FIX: The heater relay is a component on the main PCB control board. Unplug the washer for five minutes to reset the main PCB control board. Plug the washer back in. If the code returns, replace the main PCB control board.

I purchased all new appliances for my kitchen about 5 years ago and chose Samsung. That was a huge mistake. I had to replace the microwave after about 3 years. The refrigerator is now the thorn in my side. About every 60 to 90 days I am having to turn it off and completely defrost it due to freezing around the fan. This has been a horrible experience and I will never buy another Samsung appliance. Reading all the reviews online it appears this is a huge problem nationwide. There should be a recall on all of these refrigerators. I am very unhappy customer.

We got a Samsung Convection Range less than two years ago. It blistered on the bottom and the paint peeled off. It looks horrible. They won’t stand behind it saying it’s cosmetic. That is minor compared to the burning smell and smoke that goes through my kitchen and house when I use the oven. I can’t use the oven anymore for fear of a fire. They will not stand behind their faulty product!

Where are the attorneys? We need a class action lawsuit. Samsung fridges have a huge number of engineering flaws and instead of fixing them like a good company should do, Samsung is making the consumer pay for a repairman to fix the engineering flaws. It is time to kick Samsung out of the USA. They are doing business third world style. Git your attorney and sue the ** out of them. Show them the wrath of the American consumer and why we dont tolerate cheap crap in this country!!!

This refrigerator was purchased late April 2015. Since purchasing this product, the upper ice maker has been faulty. It constantly freezes over and does not produce ice. Numerous occasions we have defrosted it and it remedies the problem for approximately 2 to 3 weeks. As of the last week, the refrigerator is making a very loud noise when the doors are shut. Upon doing much research, there are numerous complaints of very similar issues. The customer service reps I talked to on two separate occasions offered me no remedy to this problem other than me paying a service company $100 to come look at my refrigerator plus any cost of parts and repairs. For a $2000 refrigerator from a big brand name company, this response is unacceptable. The good part of this fridge is it looks very nice but. I love the design inside. If you buy this make sure you take the 5 year warranty. You will need it. I bought this fridge 2/17 to replace a Kenmore I had for 20 years. The ice maker froze you all the time, right from the beginning. I had to get a hair dryer to melt the ice build up. In 11/19 the circulating fan started making noise for about a week then finally stopped. I lost all the food that I had. I called where I had warranty and they said fan went out and had to order a new one which took a week, now Im without a fridge. I got it repaid and thought things happen, no problem. Now 4/20, 4 months later same problem. The fan went out again.. Im 71 years old I had 3 weeks of food in the fridge I had delivered because of Covid 19 virus. I lost $250.00 worth of food. I cant go out because of quarantine. I have no way of keep anything cold.. I called where I have warranty. They came out next day and had to order the part. Its been 10 days and still no part and no fridge and no food!!!I went online just to see if maybe there was a recall on this fridge and found out there is a class action suit against Samsung for this exact unit.. I called Samsung and explained the problem. Not sure what to do. I called W.A.M.G channel 6 news to the reporter that did a story about this unit on 11/19 and how it was plagued with problems.. They want to come out to interview me and do a story on this fridge but with Covid-19 they cant at this time and told me to call Samsung. At this time Samsung has done nothing. Im still without a fridge and food. On Social Security, 71 years old and totally frustrated with this unit.. I would not recommend this fridge. Buy another brand.

We have now just received an email telling us it will be another 21 working days from today before we can expect to receive a replacement! We purchased a Samsung over-the-range unit and we too got the error code, unplugged the microwave and it worked well. That is for a while. I heard a ping noise and the springs for the latch broke. I had complained about this since day one, since we got it. It was even checked several times under warranty and was told it was fine. This is what I get and Samsung will do nothing about it. Count me in for a lawsuit. Never buy Samsung again.

Whenever we were in the market to replace our appliances, I always looked to Samsung first. We have 4 Samsung TVs, a refrigerator, 4 smartphones, Blu-Ray player and a washing machine and we love them all. That was until I had the misfortune of purchasing an over the range microwave. Here youve read all the stories about these microwaves and their failure on sensor errors just after the warranty expires. Its a poorly designed product that fails due to the humidity created when cooking on the stove. The only thing worse than the design of the product is Samsungs support for this inferior product.I havent replaced the unit yet because Im afraid the next unit I purchase (Hint: not a Samsung product) will encounter the same problems. I have a countertop microwave someone gave me so I dont really need an over the range model. But when I do the kitchen remodel, Im not sure what to put in its place. Obviously I need some sort of vent so thats where my research now takes me.

This an update on my trouble getting my Samsung refrigerator fixed. Its been going on for 6 weeks now. Granted we have been out of town for 2 of those weeks. First attempt to fix it was to replace the computer board ($375). This took almost 2 weeks due delay in getting first one that was on backorder and was defective so another had to be order. This didnt work. The repair people came back out and decided that it was the cooling fan BUT the fan is manufactures discontinued, so we have to buy the whole cooling panel of $180. The repair people and Lowes advised that the repair people write a letter stating the problems and what they have had to do and cost of fixing this problem and submit to Samsung for a possible credit for a new one. Fortunately we have the beer and watermelon refrigerator in the garage, which ironically is the one we replace with the high tech Samsung. I only wish I could sue them for forcing me to live with an unhappy wife for this long.

Major problems with Samsung range model NE59J7750WS/AC Duo-Flex - If this r
Major problems with Samsung range model NE59J7750WS/AC Duo-Flex - If this range is working up to the specifications of the manufacturers design then that design is flawed. One flaw is that there are no vent openings in the bottom of the oven to allow for heat transfer. Vents that would mean the oven could come up to temperature in 10 minutes rather than the 30 to 45 minutes this lemon takes. Other brands that we have since been looking at have these vent slits. It may be more convenient for Ms Consumer to clean a range with a hidden bottom element but if by hiding it you restrict the heat flow, what good is it?Another flaw is that the sensor tells the temperature display 365 and beeps to say it is ready to bake when the oven is only at 225, 365 is still 30 to 45 minutes away. Why was this range designed to do this? To impress the EnerGuide inspector with how quickly it reaches temperature? Can you say Volkswagen?? A third flaw is that there is no consistency in the final temperature reached. Set it for 365 and it may only go up to 345, next time it might go to 385 (as it did when Sears repairman Ken was here. He said he could fix that problem, I said why bother, last time it only went to 345, if you drop it by 20 it could just go to 325.)A fourth flaw is the variation of oven temperature within one baking session. The last time we baked (was the LAST time as we wont try again) it took 38 minutes to get up to 365. We put in a sheet of cookies and 12 minutes later they were done to perfection (the two on the right). The second sheet of the same cookie batch went in just as the first was taken out, when checked 8 minutes later they were already burnt. Usually, when you open the oven door to take something out and then put something in the temperature drops, in this case it must have risen substantially to burn the cookies in 8 minutes. There is no rhyme nor reason for the temperature variations with this thing. You say There is no repair solution that can be attempted by our technicians as after multiple visits we have not detected any fault with the unit. That is not true. Your guy Ken can attest to the fact that it took 45 minutes to get up to temperature and that the final temperature was 20 degrees higher than the setting. He wasnt here when it only went to 345, he hasnt been here when the wild fluctuations have occurred. Have him spend a day here checking it out, hell tell you whats what. Better yet have him take it home and make HIS wife try to use it! We arent going to anymore! For more than 45 years we have put our faith in Sears and Sears products. Now, at the first instance of a problem Sears has failed us. Well see if a media investigative reporter will be interested in this matter as we have had no luck getting Samsung or Sears to see reason. CBC, CTV & Global for a start.

They may make good TVs but their refrigerators leave a lot to be desired. Our unit is a double front door with bottom freezer. The unit was over $2000 and worked good until the warranty went out. The first problem was the panel where the water/ice dispenses. That unit went out and was quite expensive to get repaired. Since then, the ice maker has quit and now the front of the unit is rusting and looks terrible. See the best effort photo. People come into our house and when they go in the kitchen they ask about the Samsung refrigerator. Then they take one look at the rust on the front and quickly change the subject. I will never buy another and feel like I paid too much for an inferior product.

Samsung microwave hood combo ME21706MQS/AC. Purchased an entire kitchen package from Sears Nov 2015 which included a Samsung microwave oven. We are a retired couple so use microwave to heat food and drinks. The microwave would not heat August 2017. Contacted Sears who sent a repairman. Estimate is to replace magnetron $133.96; diode $9.99; transformer $143.46 LABOUR $189.00. Total is $476.41 and I paid $599.99 plus get for the oven. Repairman recommended not to repair as it would not work in less than a year! In other words a piece of crap! I would never purchase or recommend a Samsung appliance again after our experience with our Samsung refrigerator that we purchased in Fall 2013. After owning the refrigerator for ~9 months, I began to notice water accumulating under the deli drawer. I thought it might just be normal and cleaned it up every month or so. Around 15 months after purchase, I noticed the water accumulating more often and to a greater degree. Water would spill out of the fridge when we opened the doors (sometimes sheets of ice). I called Samsung and the refrigerator was not under warranty any longer.Over a period of the next 9 months, Samsung sent out 3 different repair companies. None of the companies could fix the problem. Water and ice continued to accumulate, spilling all over the floor whenever the fridge was opened. Large amounts of mildew grew due to the moisture. The fridge had to be shop-vacuumed monthly to clean out all of the water. After Samsung telling us that there was nothing else that they could do, we finally purchased a new refrigerator from a different manufacturer. We moved the fridge to our garage and it is now going to have to be hauled away due to the continual growth of mildew due to the water accumulation problem. We are so frustrated that we spent $2000+ on this refrigerator and it cannot even be used in our garage!

My husband & I are recent retirees. We remodeled our home & bought a new Samsung french door refrigerator. We recently noticed a bubble on the door just below the water dispenser. Weeks later we noticed the stainless steel application starting to peel, showing the metal underneath. I called Samsung and had my problem escalated to Executive Customer Relations. After spending several hours on the phone with them, they advised it is a cosmetic problem and not covered under any warranty. I tried to convince them that it is defective workmanship, but with no luck. We are now stuck with this terrible sight, and no recourse. Do Not Buy Samsung.

We constructed a new home and purchased a full set of appliances made by Samsung and have had major regret with the decision. We purchased extended warranty and have had to use the services on most of them. We have now had to change to a different manufacturer of dishwasher that the warranty has just ended. Now the fridge door needs to be replaced as the lower shelf mount has broken and the mount is part of the entire door which has all the electronics integrated. The shelf above that one is broken as well. We just called Samsung support to ask for support prior to filing a complaint and they offer none, only a toll free number for parts. As a result of our experience we will never purchase another Samsung product. Completely dissatisfied.

HORRIBLE!!!! I bought a fridge on the week of Black Friday 2014, the day of the delivery they called me saying it was damaged, and I would get a new one in 3 days, I let 2 weeks pass and I still havent received a new fridge. I went to Home Depot and they called Samsung and said that my delivery address always changed to Arcadia (I live in Palmdale), we fixed the delivery address after Samsung has said I changed it, which I didnt! And they would deliver it the first week of January, a whole month after I initially ordered it. When the day of the delivery came, the fridge was damaged for a SECOND time, and not to mention the unprofessionalism from the 2 delivery associates. They urged us to keep the damaged one, we declined. We had to wait again for another fridge. We called for compensation they promised us 200$ dollars that would take 6 weeks to process. Its been 3 months and I called them today and they said they denied my compensation. SAMSUNG is horrible, I will definitely never recommend Samsung to anybody and I will make sure corporate hears about this!

I spent nearly $6,000 on new refrigerator, range, dishwasher and microwave less than one year ago and also bought the extended warranty. The first dishwasher they delivered did not work at all and they had to bring a new one. The stainless steel refrigerator was replaced twice after several service attempts to fix ice maker that makes only crushed ice. The unit still only makes crushed ice because it is a design flaw and with every glass of cubed ice you get about 30% of crushed ice. I bought the biggest and best unit on the market.. and we are very disappointed.. The wording ice and water rubbed off within the first couple months and was unreadable. Today, I had problems with the microwave. The numbers are beginning to wear off the front panel. When I called Samsung service they indicate that is a cosmetic issue and not covered by the warranty. I would never ever consider buying Samsung appliances for my kitchen.

The front door water dispenser always drips down the front of the refrigerator requiring constant cleaning and absolutely nothing cleans this poor quality of stainless. I have tried everything! The bottom freezer is not working at all and will not reset. The top freezer has to be defrosted monthly with a hairdryer and reset, to get any ice. Even after those bizarre behaviors, the ice is always wet, very slow to make and drop and always mixes at least 5 or so tablespoons of water in with the ice (and again drips down the front of the refrigerator). I actually bought two of the same refrigerators for two different homes and absolutely think both are just junk. What a joke... As I thought I was buying a higher end appliance! Just another comment, on the Samsung microwave I bought at the same time... Junk. I had to fixed the cracked plastic on the door hinge myself with a You Tube video and rubber band, just so the door would close so the appliance would work... After two years of use (mostly reheating food). I caution all appliance buyers to stay away from Samsung appliances, regardless of the model. Also, getting service without paying an arm and a leg is impossible.

Poorly Made! Then kitchen is 1 month over warranty. Already the bottom metal strip of the oven door is coming off. It was actually glue and the glue is coming off. Very cheaply made. I called and they said to fix its $175.00. I had my last kitchen stove from GE for 13 yrs and never ever had an issue. Will NOT ever buy Samsung again. Very poor craftsmanship.

Samsung Model RF31FMEDBSR - Worst fridge ever. Icemaker has always frozen up. It definitely does not make the 10 pounds a day that they advertised and now the whole fridge is freezing up and not keeping our food properly cooled. I am very confident we have eaten spoiled or bad food because of the temp problems. The door says one thing but the actual temperature is much warmer. Customer service at Samsung was asking if the door was closed and other time-wasting questions.

Unbelievable that junky! It was just little less than 3 years, I thought I pay what I should deserve, so I bought a top of the line Samsung refrigerator, it cost me almost $4,000. In lately it has a lot of problems, 1) first the bottom freezer fan broke down. 2) Yesterday the ICE maker and the defroster broke down. Two times repair, parts and labour total cost $1,100. Extremely disappoint.... its only look good.

I bought a brand new Samsung convection range NE59J7651WS, and it is only 23 months old. I have only used the self clean function twice before, and before this cycle completed the control panel fried and stopped working. Now I have to find a repair company to fix this. I noticed there are hundreds of customers that have the same issue and I think it would be appropriate for Samsung be accountable for this issue. A recall should happen and if not a class-action lawsuit may be started. Im all for that!! I will definitely never buy another Samsung appliance again!

Did repairs myself. The refrigerator has been nothing but issues freezing the coil up, the fan being bound in ice and now the ice maker died. 1 week ago the microwave died and it now need the whole control panel. Samsung has been useless in resolving these issues so Im stuck fixing them myself. What a huge waste of money. Do not buy Samsung appliances. Guess my stove will be next.

Bought range (MODEL FTQ 353IWUX-XAA) & 5 other Samsung appliances May 30, 2011 at Lowes in Belmont, NC. While at home, range started making noises smoking from back control panel July 2013 - like blew up - tried to contact Samsung even though out of warranty. They were slow to respond. Finally set up service through them - $90. Technician said this is a common occurrence with this model - they will repair for $400. Going online for reviews, this is happening frequently with this model. Samsung knows of this defect but will not help...

This service request on a new fridge was a nightmare. Thier service company OMB/friends tek is so unprofessional. They called me to schedule time. Hung up on me the first time. They did not call back, but put in notes that I hung up on them. When I called back, waited on hold 45 mins. Then was disconnected. Called back. Waited 30 more minutes. They pressed que to leave a message. I got a message that voicemail was full and told me to try my call later. They tried again to call me 2 days later. I called right back and went through the same scenario. 3rd time they called, I answered and was able to s he duke a service call 1 week later. This whole time I have been calling Samsung customer service with no resolution. They in fact, said they also could not get through to the repair vendor and I should keep trying.Day of appointment- I get a text from Tech telling me he will be there in 4 hour window. I asked if he had a slide protector for the floor (which is standard issue for appliance delivery and repair, and what the installers used). He said no. He told me if to have the fridge moved out away from cabinet before he got here. I advised I could not do that as it was too heavy. He advised me to reach out to place I purchased as he would not move. He only replaces parts or repairs. I contacted Samsung, who again could not help and advised me to contact Home Depot.I contacted Home Depot and explained the situation. They sent out a manager with slide pads and he moved fridge out and placed slide pads under the fridge. Repair tech came out. He showed up in an unmarked personal vehicle with another man with no uniform. How unprofessional. All he wanted to talk about was how he was not going to be responsible for property damage. We determined what the issue was, which turned out to be an installation issue. We also purchased a dishwasher with this fridge. We spent over $4000 and this has been one of the worst experiences I have had with a purchase. Samsungs failure to respond appropriately and ongoing issues with this vendor(as referenced in online reviews) will cause me to never buy a Samsung product again (we also have 2 Samsung TV’s).

I like the look of the Samsung range. I’m currently on my second one as the first one had lasted about ten years before the circuit board in the back burnt out. I spent about $75 for a new board thinking that it would be good for another ten years however, it only last another two months. Therefore I just bought a new one that looked exactly the same. I had the old one recycled. The new convection oven works much better than the old one. It moves the air in a much better way to more evenly cook whatever is in the oven. This new Samsung seems easier to clean and keep clean as well. I really appreciate that I can still find the same looking model type many years later. The stainless steel finish exactly matches all of the other older Samsung appliances in the kitchen.

My wife and I bout a Samsung RT5000K Top Freezer Twin Cooling Plus™, 350 L refrigerator for Courts Jamaica Limited. The first month the front plastic on the tray under the freezer compartment split down the middle while it was being wiped off. It was as if it had dry rotted. In the first three months the door started to bubble and this is the one that has the stainless steel look. They replaced the skin after a lot of complaining and then the door would hardly close by itself when they were done and they left all the plastic on.Now the rubbers are starting to crack on the door and we have not had the thing a year yet. The door is making a creaking sound once in a while when you open it and the refrigerator from day one has been making weird sounds. It also runs very hot and for an inverter type, the electric bill has not gone down at all. Have been trying to find the year of manufacture and cant seem to get any answers. I believe it was in storage a long time before being sold. Very disappointed and would never buy one again. Will continue to take to social media to get some answers.

I purchased a Samsung RF263BEAESR refrigerator 3 years ago because I thought Id get quality and good service. While the ice maker froze and the service person fixed it by using a steam gun it happened again. Easy fix though, since I have a hair dryer. Last week the handle came off the freezer drawer. I had purchased a store warranty that is still in effect; however when I called for service the representative said handles are not included in the warranty. I called the Authorized Service Company who sent a repairman out charging us $75+tax. He said that this model has no way to replace the handle and the only solution is to replace the whole freezer drawer at a cost of $465 and another service charge which means a total cost of $625. The repairman said older models had an access at the top of the drawer which would allow such a repair, but the new models do not have this handy option. To me this is a design flaw that requires the customer excess cost.

My new dishwasher does not dry dishes. They are drippy wet and the two different service companies sent to the house both confirm that this model is known for not drying and there’s nothing that can be done to fix it. Funny, the sales person never mentioned this. Do not expect any customer service from the Appliance Factory/Brand Source. They do not return calls and they do not stand behind the products they sell. There were hidden charges upon delivery, which is not free. I can only hope that other consumers do not make my mistake in going with this small guy store. I will stick to the big box stores from now on since they at least offer responsive customer service. The appliances were not cheaper at Brand Source and they lied about actual delivery charges. If you’re satisfied with only having your dishwasher wash your dishes and do not mind drying them yourself, then this WaterWall Samsung Dishwasher is for you. If you expect a call back from the President’s Hotline of The Appliance Factory, you will be disappointed too. And apparently they are not rated by the BBB. BEWARE!!!

The more I try to cook on this stovetop the more I am convinced that the burners don’t heat correctly. I have bought several new nonstick skillets and they seem ruined after a few times cooking in them. I am not a chef but I am not a novice either. I’ve been cooking for over 30 years and this doesn’t seem right. I usually use the right front burner and go with the medium middle setting, never on high. And then I would turn it down to low and things still get burnt. I dont even want to address your Samsung customer service because I know how they give the runaround. My microwave was defective - I saw sparks flying from the inside and turned it off. They did end up refunding the money for it but I had paid to have someone to install it above the stove so I lost $200 there. Plus I had to jump through many hoops to get a refund.

Kindly register my complaint and replace the refrigerator I bought. If the Samsung refrigerator is not put into use by you or your authorized representatives, I will be left with no other option but to seek the legal assistance of the appropriate forum to get my grievances redressed.I am not really happy with the way your after care service centre is functioning, since they are simply interested in charging the customers rather than addressing the issue/problem rightfully. I hope you will understand my mental agony and the problem I have been facing all these days and set the issue amicably, since it is the responsibility and duty of the producing firms to attend to the customer’s needs. But yeah, Samsung has a very bad after sale support. They basically sell you the stuff and then forget about you after that. They dont care about the complaints, and they dont stand behind their products. I will never purchase another Samsung product again. I dont care how good they are. There are always alternatives, and I would rather deal with a reputable and ethical company. I want to replace my Samsung refrigerator immediately. I have very bad experience with Samsung product. Even I dont know where I am supposed to go with my complaint. What should I do? Weve been in this house since November 1998. Our previous Kenmore was working fine when we decided to remodel with all-stainless steel kitchen appliances. This evening (10/20/2013), as we were preparing dinner, we were melting butter. The first time, the time wasnt set long enough. When we attempted to continue melting the butter, the SE error code appeared. Nothing I did would return the unit to normal. This is ridiculous to pay a premium for a so-called top-of-the-line appliance and it lasts approximately two years.Just this past week, we had to have out Samsung dishwasher serviced because debris had jammed the impeller preventing the wash pump from operating. I was told by the repair tech that the GE Pot Scrubber (that was also working fine) would have ground discharged the debris but dishes have to be completely pre-rinsed of all food debris prior to being loaded into a Samsung dishwasher to prevent eventual clogging of the impeller. I wont get into the ridiculous cost of 400-gallon water filters for Samsung refrigerators.

Each time the fix lasted for a shorter time period until it just would go back to the error immediately. I cannot understand how companies such as Samsung are allowed to make products like this and rip off their customers. We havent had the microwave long...probably 3-4 years but it seems nowadays you cant expect anything you buy to last long no matter what you pay for them. I had a terrible experience with Samsung. I ordered a Samsung Fridge and within a year and a half the compressor went out. Samsung at first wanted to fix the compressor, but since there were no techs near where I live, they decided to refund our money. It took an agonizing 2 months of trying to get them to give us our money. One customer service rep laughed at me when I asked what would happen if it took longer to get our refund before our new fridge and she laughed and said, “Mam, it’s not going to take that long.” That was only 1 week into the process. One representative gave me a fake # when I asked to talk to someone higher up. They even made me cut the cord of the fridge and take a picture of it and send it to them. I was without a fridge for 2 months and still no refund. They would tell me someone would be calling and no one would ever call. I called at least twice a week if not more and they would just give me the runaround. But would always say not to get rid of the fridge until we get the refund. We no longer could go any longer without a fridge so we went ahead and ordered a new one - Whirlpool this time. I got my delivery date, so I called Samsung to let them know that our new fridge was coming and they would be taking away our Samsung fridge so I needed to make sure that they had everything they needed before it went. Samsung told me NOT to get rid of it until I got the refund. I asked when will I get my refund? Every week, they would say, within 2-3 days and every week would pass and NO REFUND. Our new fridge came and I immediately called Samsung to see if I could send it with the delivery guy because he would take it away for free. They said no. So now we are stuck with our old fridge with nowhere to take it unless we pay $200 to dump it. Samsung did not care, they said it was not their responsibility. I will NEVER buy anything Samsung again! They have the worst customer service and products.

We have had problems w/ the Samsung DW80F60OUTS dishwasher from its installation from Home Depot to its operation. Previous problems involved Samsung not installing the proper electronics in the door - it had 2 different types of the electronic programs; the door seals leaked; it did not clean the dishes. The current problem is that the water entry or draining does not perform. The Smart Auto light is flashing. The soap dispenser does not open. Dishes from the last operation are dirty. Called the local SS authorized repair company which will come out and properly repair this poor excuse for a dishwasher. If it had not cost so much I would give it to the monthly large item pick up for the dump. Purchased in July 2015; we do not like it at all. Glad we bought the extra repair service contract which takes effect after the SS warranty. Should have bought a Whirlpool or GE dishwasher.

I have read other reviews and I am horrified to find that we are not alone in our experience. But what is even worse is that we bought our Samsung Range in late 2010 not because our 30 year old oven didnt work, but because I wanted a new sleek glass top. In Dec 2011, we also experienced the sizzling sound immediately followed by a loud POP and then black smoke and flames coming from behind the controls. After going the rounds with Samsung customer service etc, we finally got someone out to replace the motherboard at the cost of a service call for us because even though it had been just over a year, our product was out of warranty because it was manufactured 3 years prior to our purchase! Whatever! Then, to make matters worse, while baking a cake today (nearly 6 years later), DEJA VU!! It happened again. Exactly the same as the first time. So here I did waiting for a return phone call because I told Samsung I wanted them to get their dangerous piece of crap out of my house before it killed my family, of which Im certain its capable of doing. I will NEVER buy another Samsung appliance and not only will I not recommend them, Ill also try to convince anyone thats thinking of getting one, not to!

Purchased this attractive SS Samsung french door bottom freezer refrigerator a few years ago for $2500. It started leaking water in and under the drawers and making a loud noise. Apparently, this is such a common problem, most appliance repair companies won’t guarantee the repair as it may freeze up again in a few months and fail again. When I called Samsung, they said that it is no longer under warranty. They fail to acknowledge the defect. I will never buy another product from Samsung-a company that makes terrible products and fails to acknowledge and repair their defects.

My 86 year old mother purchased her french door refrigerator freezer a couple years ago. About 3 months ago the ice maker and water dispenser quit working. Then in Christmas day her refrigerator freezer quit working. We called the extended warranty company. They had a man come out January 6th (12 days after the unit went out) to assess. He ordered the needed part that day. The part didnt come in until January 15th. Needless to say, it still hasnt been repaired... the repairman is scheduled to come on January 20th for repair. They did not offer to rent her a refrigerator freezer during this time. She is on medication that must stay refrigerated. This is unacceptable customer service. We will see what transpires on Wednesday.

I purchased my microwave in 2010 Serial # J4LVMOSC00753V. After about 2 years I got the infamous 5E error. I found information on the internet as to how to repair it myself. When I opened the front of the unit to access the inside of the control panel, I found that the hot wire connector was melted. I must have been very close to a fire! I replaced the connector and dried the wires to correct the 5E error. The 5E error reappeared again after a few months. I again dried the wires. To keep the story short, the 5E error appeared more and more frequently, until finally it was happening weekly. The unit is now waiting for the junk man to collect it.

We bought a Samsung French door refrigerator two years ago. Our ice maker has gone out and we need another one. Upon looking on the parts on the Samsung website it says It is NOT available. Really? How do they think the people are suppose to fix the ice maker? The last refrigerator we had the ice maker went out in a year. We called the Co. and they said It COULDNT be fixed. What do they think we are suppose to do? Keep buying refrigerator? The next one I buy will NOT have an ice maker in the door.

My story is similar to Eli from Vancouver. Bought this d/w in 2014. Was good for 4 months--lights started blinking. Called Samsung, they said needed a new computer board which they did replace. That was good for another 4 months. Then the d/w wasnt drying and draining properly. I have read that book so many times I could take a test and get a 100%. It would be faster to wash the dishes by hand. Then there is the smell. I have to run baking soda and vinegar in it every two weeks to keep it under control. Now I have more flashing lights--I am done. I am taking my loss and buying a Bosch. This was the worst experience ever. Life is complicated in the 21st century. We depend on these luxuries to make things a little easier. I do not need this stupid stress. I bought the stove and refrigerator too. Stove so far okay. Refrigerator not great either but I wont go on about that right now. The dishwasher is a big BUST!!! Avoid the stress. I wish I had the time because judging from the amount of entries on this site, the dishwashers are a real mess and a class action suit would make sense. Besides, by time it would be settled, I would be dead.

I purchased a Samsung side by side refrigerator in July 2013. I didnt have any problems with the unit initially. Well as soon as the one year warranty expired the fan started making a loud weird sound. The noise got louder and louder, evidently the refrigerator wasnt cooling. I call Samsungs crappy customer service and they insisted on walking me through a step by step problem solving. I was so frustrated with them. I assured them that everything imaginable just short of throwing it out the back door was done trying to find out what was wrong. Of course, they made sure to inform me that the unit was no longer under warranty and Id have to pay for any repairs, but a technician wouldnt be available until January 7, 2015. I called on December 20, 2015. I was furious and expressed that with the person on the other line, but she didnt seem to care. The refrigerator still isnt cooling. Im just glad I have the old refrigerator in the garage that I replaced the Samsung crap with and it works. I would never again buy a Samsung. They should be better with the consumer. Such a Lemon!!!

After a week later, the same problem happened. The repair man changed some parts. Two weeks later, I found same problem. I told them to exchange a new one. They said they always try to fix, but never get fixed. Today is my 7th time to call them to fix the same problem. They still refused to exchange me a new one since they never be able to fix. Unfortunately I purchased a Samsung dishwasher when it was first launched so consumer reviews were not available then. I wish I had the foresight of returning the dishwasher immediately during the first month of purchase because my dishwasher never thoroughly cleaned my dishes. I was so amused by the lights and buttons that I ignored the dishwashers failures. After numerous service calls to the vendor, the repairman decided to replace the unit. Shortly after however, the dishwasher completely broke down. I wish we could make Samsung accountable for what they know to be a poorly produced and designed product.

I bought my RSG257AARS side by side refrigerator 4 years ago. Everything was great with it until the compressor stopped working properly and all the coolant leaked. When I called an appliance repair shop they told me that Samsung only lets people who are trained by Samsung repair their fridges. She was very nice and told me where to go to find someone in our service area. Here in the DC/VA/MD area I could initially only find 3 people who would work on my fridge and it took me a week and a half to get an appointment. I lost EVERYTHING in my fridge and freezer. Then, they charged by $300.00 for a visit! Now, less than 90 days later (and the part was only good for 60-day warranty) I am having the SAME problem and now have to call a separate appliance repair place to come fix it, AGAIN! I will NEVER EVER buy another Samsung appliance in my life. The Samsung Customer Service department gives me the runaround. DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG Appliance. We purchased a Samsung refrigerator and stove a year ago. The first time I went to use the self-clean feature on the stove the main component fried. It was Thanksgiving week and a time I really needed the oven. It took 2 weeks for a repairman to fix the problem. Two weeks ago we started having problems with the ice maker in the refrigerator. Slushy ice and at times, wed just get a handful of water. Upon research (I know, something I should have done before the purchase), I learned that it is a common problem with Samsung refrigerators/ice makers. People were told they had to empty the thing every 6 months or so, unplug it and let it defrost! Seriously?? In this day and age? The thing is supposed to be frost free. So upset with this purchase! I would avoid Samsung in the future if looking for appliances. They look good, but break down within a year of purchase.

I remodel my whole kitchen! I went to lowes for appliances, bought Fridge, stove, microwave hood range and dish washer! 1st week the ice maker stopped working, got that repaired! Two weeks later, the freezer went out! Lost 60$ of meat in freezer!! So Lowes replaced whole unit free of charge!! The 2nd fridge came, it stopped working within 1 week of running! Called Samsung, they told me to open back panel and hit reset button in back! Did that and it started to work again! Well the next 3 days the ice maker quit again! Samsung got it repaired, 3 weeks later it went out again! Since then it has been 5 months without a hitch!Meantime, Microwave Hood range stopped working, repairman came out, order a couple of parts replaced them, still didnt work. Lowes replaced unit!! 2 months of running the 2nd one started to make a loud vibration!! Repairman came out to see, said it was loose in casing! While looking at that he opened lite part and it was broken, the light fixture itself! The pins that hold lite up was broken! Wait for Buy Back on that! He also came to look at dishwasher cause it was make a loud noise, also which it didnt do it in past! Repairman said the Motor is going out!! So it is on order!Stove on other hand, the back leg that holds unit leveled was bent and could not be fixed, got it replaced! On 2nd stove the front window has water leak condensation from cooking and there is no way to clean it!! On all the appliances I was told they were top of the line! Stainless steel, in which I cannot keep clean, there is like streaks on all of them and no matter what I use, very good cleaner still cant remove stains from them! The repairman told me the SS is very cheap kind of SS, and that is why there are stain on them! All of this has happened from April 15th 2013 till now! And Samsung warranty is one yr, in which they want me to buy new warranty!! Even though I have had 3 of them replaced, it still goes back the date of purchase! I can just sit down and write a novel about my disposable fridge that would make a priest want to renounce his vows, oh my! And thats not all! So while I have your attention, let me begin with the juiciness of this sought over novel, soon to be released; not appropriate for the weak-minded, lame, sex offenders, and others whom are abusive. My story begins on the purchase date of December 3, 2010, not to be delivered until December 21, 2010 on Model: RF217ACRSXAA; Brand: Samsung 20 cubit ft B/M french doors; cost $1,299.00, growling! OK, its going on 8-years old, so what? Dont you want for your refrigerator to last more than just 8 years, I do? After all, $1,299 isnt anything to laugh about on the high cost of paying for any appliance that should serve their customers well in the long-run; hello, this one doesnt cut the cake, in fact, it lacked in all areas. Listen up now in hearing the truth and the reality of this poorly constructed, over-priced, defective, piece of disposable stainless steel has-been appliance of junk. Not pretty so far, and its not going to get any prettier, trust me. To save time, Im just going to list the issues in laying them straight out for your digestion, and I hope they dont deliver unto any of you any form of nausea, flu-like symptoms, diarrhea, or self-inflicted wounds; even thou tempted. This appliance was doomed when formed in the craters of the stainless steel womb in appliance making; in laymans terms it was defective and unacceptable and much made aware of, however, Samsung continued to disregard any discrepancies of their workmanship and so they continued on. This so-called wannabe fridge didnt pan out at all in its performance and the companies bragging and boasting of such a wonderful product; check out the other sources of reviews regarding their refrigerators and youll see the tremendous faults and Samsungs own claims that it was your fault based upon reasonable wear and tear, other words, your daily usage of their product. BULL! Cheap and stupid comment! Everything we have is considered being used on a daily basis as wear and tear. So it comes down to: a faulty and a unacceptable product with the first thing happening were dents appearing upon the surface front of the stainless steel in various areas where nothing was knocked or hit upon the refrigerator, and this still remains a mystery to this day; and suddenly one day out of the blue when upon opening and gagging, a vile odor of non-delight smacked me right in the face of something raw and diseased in leaving a stench of a decomposed corpse somewhere hiding in my fridge, it was so intrusive and vile that I had to end up removing everything in my fridge to remove the odor of death with vinegar, baking powder, peroxide and rubbing alcohol, which finally helped in this hideous stench, plus it harbored its odor upon my cheese and butter, which I had to dispose of, costing me money in waste, and then having to replace those items which cost me more. This lovely saga lasted over 1-year in the making and it wasnt pretty, as I had to do this every 3-months. When I contacted this lovely and caring company, I was told to wash down my fridge. Hahaha! Now thats funny! I reported to this expertise person filled with much knowledge and wisdom, that this was exactly what I had done. Then her reply was, it takes time and itll go away. Another bout of uncontrollable laughter in asking her, what if it doesnt go away, then what? Only to be told again by this person of much esteem, then call us back. OK, as if my calling is going to be opening their deaf ears, NOT! Now moving on to my wonderful and functional ice maker, which when my fridge was installed, the ice maker wasnt even hooked up due to our older home not having any water hookup for a refrigerator that had an ice maker. So the installer, turned that option off as we didnt use it. So in the 7 years in which weve had our disaster of a fridge with all of its sought after imperfections, were still experiencing problems with the ice maker. This problem has now been addressed 3 times, with a repairman coming out doing his magical diagnostic check to say it was our ice maker programmed in indicating that there is a problem. What kind of a problem you asked, well, its programmed of course with all of its electronic components saying that there is an ice issue and leaking. NOT! So this lovely costly $100 gadget of necessity had to be replaced, why, well its because of the way Samsung designs their appliances causing for them to react in indicating something that isnt. But in order for my fridge to work, I had to pay for it as it was out of warranty. How lovely and kind is Samsung to do that in their designing and corruptible computer technology to showcase this error of DECEIT. So it was done and I had thought over, but once again, the fun and love of this fridge is expressing itself all over again, and less than one year after it was supposedly been fixed and not to do it again. Yeah, right! So this time Mr. Mechanic, Man of Genius (another repairman) comes out and swiftly removes the ice maker saying that it wasnt needed and therefore I didnt need for it to be there. No charge this time, saying it was a courtesy call. And after 3 months, surprised! I know, your hearts must be breaking by now. So once again a call was made and several people spoken with, all whom didnt know what was said nor documented from the others, so I had to repeat everything over and over; my patience was low and running thin by now. So finally a service call was made by a company who would call me to confirm within the week regarding an ice maker that was removed and yet there was still a problem. The company called, the serviceman and I talked, only to find out that what Samsung had told him was nothing that I had said that I needed help on. They told him that I had a water leak, when I had an ice maker that was removed and the code were showing that I had a water leak coming from my ice maker that was previously removed. The serviceman suggested I call them back to report this, as there was no reason for him to come out for something that doesnt exist. The call was made, I had talked to 4 people and was told someone would be contacting me (this was in May of this year 2018). And yet at this time no one has contacted me on scheduling anyone to assist me, and my fridge is still the same as it was before where you have no option in controlling your refrigerators temperature, and its not as cold as it should be where numerous items of food had to be removed and thrown away. So now what? Let this vicious, but yet lovely and caring company who jumps hoops and swims the ocean, climbs the highest mountains and deals with volcanoes just to make sure that their appliances will be serviced well and proper, leaving you with a sense of relief and comfort, and cold foods. Wow! Guess Im in good hands after all; and here I thought Jack the Ripper was bad.

Big regrets, Samsung appliances are terrible. Purchased a 28 ft.³ Samsung French door refrigerator at Home Depot in 2015, within a year started having trouble with the icemaker. It freezes over, Samsung solution is to defrost it. I’ve done that for years. Now it’s getting worse, I used to be able to go a few months. Now can barely go a few weeks. It is an extreme inconvenience and definitely not something I expected out of a refrigerator that costs as much as this one. My only advice AVOID SAMSUNG unless you enjoy headaches & shady business ethics - oh and junk appliances!! This is a design defect and Samsung knows this yet will not recall these big hunks of junk. It is criminal what they’re getting away with!

I purchased a package deal of appliances on black Friday 2013. We were to be getting our kitchen remodeled in Jan. 2014. The remodeling didnt get started on schedule, our appliances had been delivered to Best Buy and they were in their way so we allowed them to deliver in Feb. 2014. We stored them until the remodeling job was complete. The appliances were installed in July 2014. One month after installation the delicate light was flashing. Im thinking OK maybe its me doing something wrong, it wasnt. I finally called and it was repaired under warranty in Sept. 2014. They replaced the sensor and the PC board. They replaced one, a day later we called and they came back out and replaced the other. It worked fine until about 2-4 weeks ago, the delicate light again is flashing. According to the book that came with it and Samsung employees it is a draining issue. It drains fine, so I dont believe that is the issue. Even though it was installed 8 months ago and repaired 2 Xs already and another repairman coming out this Friday, April 17, 2015, it is no longer under warranty! I believe I too got a lemon, and told them so while on the phone. They did tell me today, if I could prove that it wasnt installed until July 2014 to send them the papers and MAYBE they would do something. I am so aggravated with this dishwasher (DW80F600UTS)!!! Knock on wood, so far my microwave, electric stove and frig work great. Unless Samsung makes this right with me, I WILL NEVER PURCHASE SAMSUNG AGAIN AND I WILL CONVINCE FAMILY AND FRIENDS NOT TO PURCHASE THEM EITHER!!!
